GREAT NY STYLE DELI

By xnycop |

Great old style Jewish deli. Food aromas will make your mouth water as you walk through the door. Try their pastrami.. Really excellent.

Good take out

By StephanieSelene |

This was close to my hotel. Plenty of food options for everyone, very casual for take out. Food was good. A little pricey for take out but tasty and casual. Pickles are delicious, very fresh tasting. My son liked the pastrami on rye and the chicken soup. I had a nice veggie and cheese panini on gluten free that was good. Homemade chips were ok. If you are staying close, I would suggest it.

Very good Deli

By Mick M |

Factors is a traditional deli near Beverly Hills on Pico. I have been here a few times, and always have difficulty parking. This is why I choose Lenny's deli over Factors. Food is very similar, but Lenny's has good parking.

OK

By Vanessa B |

This deli has been around for a long time and I guess famous people have patronized this establishment. Personally I thought that the menu items that I and my family got were lacking seasonings. I got the Matzo Ball soup for the table because we had never had this soup. It was ok. Chicken broth with noodles and a huge Matzo ball in the middle. Needed some parsley oregano or basil or something. I got the Philly steak......NO don't order this tasteless sandwich. They slapped a 1/3" steak on a bun with grilled onion and peppers on it......I used yellow mustard to give it flavor. Onion rings tasted like frozen rings from the bag. My 12 y/o had a pastrami sandwich it was ok needed mustard. My husband had and Italian omellette that he thought was good. My 19 y/o had a taco salad that she liked until she came across a gnat in the salad. We all agreed that It could've happened at the table so we didn't make a big deal out of it. This place is NOT a cheap eatery! You will spend on average $15-18 a plate.

Living in the past

By TheFlyingFrock |

Unfriendly waiter. Awful food. It’s living on an old name. Needs serious update. Nothing special. Can do better elsewhere.

Excellent Jewish deli

By Spertronic |

I love to come here for brunch and share a smoked fish platter with my uncle. Bagels, cream cheese, lox, whitefish, cod, toms, onions, olives, capers... so good. They also do some classic sandwich and soups. This place is an LA classic and should be experienced.

Vacation

By Janna Y |

Something for everyone on the menu. Breakfast is served all day. Great food, atmosphere and service for casual dining. Loved all the autographed Hollywood and sports memorabilia throughout the restaurant.

continues to be tasty

By jeffrey k |

This remains a solid choice for dining in the Pico/Beverlywood area. The restaurant has been around forever, and family are still really involved in how it runs. The quality is consistent. We had two types of Reubens, pastrami and corned beef, and both were excellent sandwiches, generous, served for two meals. Had lentil soup, which was tasty and a large portion. Good value, friendly people, easy parking nearby. Just be aware that they close a bit early on Friday evenings. Takeout is easily accommodated. I have been coming to "Factors for years, and the quality has not changed.

Busy place in LA

By fernbank |

We had lunch here as was near our hotel and wanted a quick meal. The place was very busy. Food was fine also chicken sandwich was a bit tough. Amazing amount of film and sports memorabilia on walls. Prices not too bad.

Large menu but stick to traditional deli items

By NaturalizedTexan |

Seems to be a popular spot and service was prompt and friendly. The traditional deli items were above average but items like the meatball sub were only ok. The restaurant is conveniently located by the Marriott and Residence Inn.

Lives up to its name.

By Keytothekingdom |

Great service and of course great Ruben sandwiches (which I believe is their specialty), the burgers were big and messy and delicious. The restaurant is pretty big and very stylish, famous people dine here often but we didn't see any when we were there but we still had a great time.

Excellent

By Phil d |

Matzoh soup, pickles and pastrami on rye, unbeatable. Service very attentive and friendly. Reasonably priced. Interesting decor and memorabilia. Will definitely be eating here again.

Always a winner

By truffles444 |

Moved away along time ago but visit often and come here all the time. Great matzo ball soup and sandwiches.

Ordered online

By jojtrust |

We had been traveling and came home with colds so decided to order some chicken soup. Although not as good as previously and the same from other deli's it did fill the need for some relief for coughing and sneezing. We also ordered sandwiches which were good! We visit the restaurant occasionally service is good and food is good

An experience

By captainDevon |

A fab old fashioned deli, kosher pickles ,yummy sandwiches and very good service, loved it. The beef sandwich was loaded and very good, too full for pud. good coffee too.

WOW EXPENSIVE!

By Wacky_Weekend |

We were told this was a famous deli with great food. The food is average the pickles weren't bad, but for a New York style deli the were VERY cheap for a group of six people we got 8 pickle QUARTERS! Their food is over priced and only so-so. The prices are more every NY Kosher deli I have been to and their food is only so-so. If you want the New York deli experience, I would go to NY.

Much more than a deli

By Vicki K |

This has been our favorite breakfast place for years. We stay nearby. Needing an immediate dinner after a very long flight, we thought we would go for a fast dinner. It wasn't the right day for their wonderful split pea soup, but I saw marinated grilled skirt steak listed as a side. I love this cut of meat, and it was 8oz. of perfection! I also had a meat knish (yeah, a light meal)! It was stuffed with corn beef hash. Soooooo good. My hubby had matzo ball and kreplach soup and a side of white fish salad. We were happy campers. Extensive menu. I could eat here several nights a week.

A Very Good Deli

By V_Alagappan |

I was staying at the Marriott nearby and came here for a late lunch. The food was good and so was the service. I found the prices very reasonable as well and they seem to have a fairly wide menu. No complaints from me and this place is definitely recommended by me as well.

Family local dining

By Hannah G |

We came as a family for dinner in an informal setting. The food is good but not outstanding. The menu choices are extensive. They have valet parking which otherwise would be difficult.

my sandwich good, hers a bit off the pace

By jeffrey k |

OK: you are in West LA and don't want to be tormented on Fairfax. So there is Factor's on Pico at Beverly. When you want deli, almost any will do. My pastrami on rye was nice, and I like it lean, in a not overly stuffed sandwich. Melted in my mouth. I asked for a variety of mustards, which they could supply. The cole slaw was a bit bland. Pickles, especially half sours, were up to par. Her sandwich was half tongue, the other half corned beef, not as good. Tongue was bland, corned beef dry, also a bit bland. Cheesecake for dessert was OK, perhaps a bit overbaked. We would still go back, because deli is one of the foods that is "staff of life", but today's meal was not comparable with the best of NYC

Lunch Delight

By Annre2 |

Our very sweet nail technician heard us mention that we were pondering where to go for lunch. Thus, she gave us this suggestion which was close to our hotel. The food and service were great. Also, I was so very shocked to see how reasonable the prices were. Highly recommend for a very nice lunch experience.

Good

By ricdb |

Matza soup was luke warm. Weak broth. Corned beef sandwich good . Rye bread good. Potato salad i know its house made but tastes like von's recipe. You been around along time and deserve the business you have. Just not my cup of tea today

Ok Restaurant

By Ken P |

As soon as we walked in there was an odd odor; my wife did not like it at all. We sat down and we felt we were being rushed by the waitress and it was not even busy. The sandwiches we ordered were good, but I have had better for less price. Service could definitely use improvement, since we did not feel welcome at all.

Pricey Rueben but Worth It

By Avery397 |

Stayed in LA Beverly Hills area for a training class. This deli was within walking distance so I gave it a try. Factor's Famous Deli is known for their rueben sandwiches. I git a whole rueben with potato salad and strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was pricey but delicious.

Very average food

By Anna V |

We went for breakfast and were quite disappointed... food is very average - bland, boring, without any interest of trying again. The service was friendly but very superficial, no personal note, not even trying to add the smallest special touch. Yes, they serve food. But other than the simple need of satisfying hunger I don't see the purpose of going to this restaurant.

Wish they were in Atlanta

By Gerri P |

This was our first visit. Portions are very generous. I could not finish my half BBQ chicken salad which was delicious. My husband brought back half of his corned beef sandwich which he loved. The pickles were yummy. We had excellent service & it wasn't particularly noisy. We do not have deli like this in Atlanta. They have a huge menu. There is something for everyone.

Good Stuff!

By xoft |

From the Latkas to the Sandwiches, good food! The menu here is so big, everyone can find something here! The Reuben looked amazing as well!

Shalom, Factor’s!

By Barriss on the Run |

Los Angeles is an everchanging city; it’s hard not to get swept up in the modernizing plasters of gentrification across the city. Factor’s Famous Deli, however, is proudly immersed in its history. The Deli takes pride in its Jewish roots. The vintage movie posters and black-and-white family photos add tremendously to its cozy atmosphere, as if you’re being welcomed home after a long, hard day. Eccentricity is the essence of Factor’s. And while you’re there, make sure to order bagels and lox for me 😉

Great deli and delish

By denise k |

Service is great. They are service with a smile. The menu is huge so take your time. Specials are wonderful and great prices. Awesome meats and great salads. Huge is the word.

Great Jewish Food

By sandragold2018 |

It's not Kosher but has the best kosher food. Reasonable prices and great atmosphere. A place to definitely visit if you like Jewish food.

One if the best delis in LA.

Amazing Matza Ball Soup

Been here several times! Meals are fantastic. Matza ball soup is just like my grandma made (firm and large), and the deserts are incredible!

Factor in Good Food and Good Service

By 385eileenz |

Stopped in for the first time in over 10 years and although it was just about noon we were told to choose where we wanted to sit and we took the first booth. Waiter came over right away with menus and we ordered coffee. On the table in 3 minutes. When ready to order, he was right there and I swear, the food came out within 8-10 mins. I hadn't even had half a cup of coffee and there he was. Pancakes for my sister and two eggs, over easy (perfectly cooked) with well done hash browns as requested and the lightly toasted scooped sesame bagel with butter and cream cheese on the side as requested. Everything piping hot and it all came at the same time. (I hate when the toast comes after the eggs and you have nothing to scoop it up with until the eggs are cold!) He came by twice to check on refills on coffee without having to look for him. Check came when requested.Prices at Factors are high but our check with two coffees was $21.00 and the two cups of coffee were the price of her pancakes! But... it was delicious and both of us cleaned our plates. Who could ask for anything more? There are no inexpensive Deli's and Jerry's Deli is even higher priced! Parking in nearly impossible on Pico near Beverly Drive but bit the bullet and valet parked for $5.00. FYI - same valet as the one across the street for Nagila Kosher Restaurant(which is the best place to get all the Medit. side salads like hummus, Spanish eggplant, Baba Ghanoush ) and pita to take home to enjoy plus their pizzas are great and they sell slices! I will go back to Factors next time when in that area and would order the same exact breakfast.

better meal

By jeffrey k |

we have been to Factors a number of times. it has been good or average, but this meal, a dinner, was the reuben for both of us, and it was delicious. nice sandwich, good quantity of meat, just the right texture. comes with good slaw.

Good service but falls a bit short of my favorite deli

By CMac511 |

This deli is a restaurant so you pay about double for a smaller sandwich than Label's Deli. The quality falls short of Label's as well. The service is good and the atmosphere is good as well. So, if you want deli food with good service and ambiance try this place. You'll be able to finish your food because they don't give you as much as Label's. I prefer large quantities of great food at a cheaper price with a lesser atmosphere (like Label's Deli) but you need to decide what's important to you.

Comfort

By Beth S |

Comfort food. Friendly staff. Roomy booths. This place feels like home. The menu is huge and because of that we were able to find plenty of gluten free options. It helped that they have gluten free bread on the menu. Everyone here takes their job seriously and works very hard. Everyone we met was gracious, welcoming. Because of the pandemic our hotel was not serving food. How lucky we were to have this place close by. Factor's became our daily habit while visiting family for a week.

Authentic deli, a zillion choices

By LS-COS |

I discovered this deli right across the street from the Residence Inn Beverly Hills when stuck there for a week recovering from surgery, and what a "find"! The menu is endless. I had the Reuben sandwich, but with pastrami instead of corned beef, and it melted in my mouth. The best Reuben I've ever had! Another person had the hot corned beef and it was piled super high with thinly shaved meat on delicious fresh rye with mustard. The fresh lemonade that day was mint. I liked the potato salad and the fries were also very good. Some reviewers have thought the prices are high, but considering the quality and that each sandwich took two meals to finish, I didn't think so. The dessert case looked amazing, but we were too full to try it and ended up not getting a chance to go back. The customer service is great, too. When I got back to the room, it turned out that one sandwich was missing. I called and within minutes someone was knocking on our door with a fresh sandwich. Will definitely return on our next trip!

Good delicatessen but a bit pricey

By Allan P |

The thick cut pastrami was requested and served lean and not dry and the rye bread was quite good. French fries and sweet potato fries were also good. Blintzes were fair. $4 for coffee, tea and soft drinks was a bit excessive. Service was good.

Sunday lunch

By MikeinMalibu |

Ordered the corn beef it is always good, service is good, great deli, I would recommend the place. Service was fast to.

Great Breakfast!

By The-Hershmeister |

So while staying at the Beverly Hills Marriott I thought i would spare myself yet another boring hotel breakfast and get some great comfort food! everything bagel and nova, a cheese blintz, couple of perfectly fried sunny side up eggs and a glass of fresh squeezed OJ!

Thick Pastrami Sandwich

By Dan G |

Ordered a thick cut Pastrami Sandwich and it melted in my mouth. Good rye bread and lots of meat. Got fruit instead of cole slaw for my side. Reminded me of growing up in New York and the Pastrami was extremely tender. A good meal.

A great find - friendly staff , good food

By Michelle H |

Visited whilst staying around the corner at The Beverly Hills Marriott. The staff were really friendly and the food was great . The varied menu offered lots of choice and our server was knowledgeable, explaining the dishes do that we could decide . My husband and son had the meatloaf, whilst I had the Kebobs - all of which were homemade and really tasty . Highly recommended.

Good deli

By jerry k |

Good deli with a New York attitude. Whatever you want “no problem” good pickles, good size sandwiches..ever growing and expanding. Try the pastrami you won’t be sorry. They also have a well stocked take out deli with already prepared food ..a good find

Best Matzo Ball Soup

By Rachel D |

There is deli in the front & restaurant in the back. I got half a tuna sandwich on rye & cup matzo soup. Delicious filling & perfect lunch. I was staying nearby so I walked to the restaurant. Parking like everywhere in Los Angeles looks like a nightmare. Great place to people watch!

A deli that does not change - for the good

By ExperiencedTravelers |

Upon walking in, you know this is a deli. You immediately see a meat counter and baked goods. The restaurant is tables and old-fashioned booths. The menu was typically deli extensive, and the food was exactly as expected. Nothing fancy, just a good meal. It was not too loud, even when packed with guests at lunchtime. It is challenging to park, but they do have valet parking. Prices were about right for what you get. Certainly worth a visit.

Lunch

This was close to hotel and I was hungry for a deli meal. This is an institution in this area. Had pepper beef sandwich with potato salad and pickle,,,,my favorite!

Old school since 1948

By Creeping_Death_LA |

Old school since 1948. Every time I go to a deli I order the same thing a hot pastrami, cheese, and cole slaw on lightly toasted rye bread. The service was very good and the food was good too, not the best pastrami I've had but still very good. I went after lunch time by myself and I couldn't even get a single seat at the counter, I had to wait for a table, it was that busy midweek.

Real Deli Food, Tasty and Great Service

By elizabethlascheid |

Factors has been around for decades and there is a good reason. There deli food and their breakfast items are great. The service is fast and polite. You will really like it. Factors is always spotless and a few of the servers have been there a long time and each one knows the menu well. They serve a full breakfast and anything you can dream of they have. It is all super good. Their deli sandwiches are great as are their burgers. Skip anything with red sauce, like their meatball sandwich. Factors is small and can get crowded on the weekends. It is a favorite of locals, but also near a couple of hotels. Tourists are always welcome. Enjoy.

Five Stars for Factor’s Famous Deli!

By Wendy B |

We recently ordered delivery from Factor’s Famous Deli in Los Angeles and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Jay provided exceptional customer service—patient, kind, and incredibly helpful as he answered all of our questions over the phone. It's rare to find that level of attentiveness these days, and it made a lasting impression. This iconic deli, serving the community for an impressive 76 years, truly lives up to its reputation. We enjoyed the Ground Protein Scramble with ground turkey, which was flavorful and satisfying, and the Egg White Veggie Omelet was equally delicious. The Nova Lox Bagel Sandwich, served on our favorite onion bagel, featured delicious Nova salmon and it was fresh and perfectly balanced—definitely a must-try! For dinner, we shared the Roasted Half Chicken with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Every bite was comforting and delicious—classic deli fare done right. We also stocked up on cold sliced tongue and pastrami to create our own deli sandwiches and omelets at home later. Over the years, we’ve dined at Factor’s many times and have ordered a variety of menu items. Without fail, we've always enjoyed our selections. The menu is extensive, offering something tasty for every guest—any time of day. The large portions are appreciated and there are lots of healthy choices. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable and is accommodating for all ages! Factor’s Famous Deli has a very large menu with something to please every palate. Whether you're craving breakfast, lunch, or dinner, there’s always something satisfying waiting for you. Highly recommended!

There's an old deli in town....

By lespes |

....which we just discovered. You might want to skip Cantor's deli to try this one out. We had good pastrami, tasty chopped liver, and a particularly outstanding chocolate egg cream, with extra seltzer and syrup provided so that one glass was enough to serve two. You can order to food to take out while seated, and the smoked white fish and potato knish we took home did not disappoint.

Perfect

By Paul Henry |

The food is excellent and the service is perfect, one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever tried, I recommend it without hesitation.

Chicken Salad

By JK92262 |

The chicken salad sandwich was very good. Large portions, fresh bread, crisp veggies...it was all good.

Good but not great

By Norjeff2 |

Place is huge. We visited right before the virus shutdown. Pleasant service and good sandwiches. Son loved his pastrami and my corned beef was very good. Not piled as high as other delis, meats were lean and tasted great. My wife had an omelet which was a little dry but good. Solid place to visit with memorabilia on the walls. Worth visiting but not the best in town.

Great comfort food, convenient to some of the hotels on the outskirts of Beverly Hills

By NewYorkTraveler7 |

Good comfort food - all of the Jewish deli fare that you would expect, and excellent value dinner specials. Was very convenient coming from the Marriott Residence Inn Beverly Hills - right across from this and the regular Marriott.

OMG Awesome!!

By koya65 |

I can't say enough good about this gem of a deli. We stayed in a nearby hotel, so ate breakfast or lunch here almost everyday. The menu is full of deliciousness that can't be beat. I had a corned beef sandwich on seeded homemade rye with onion rings; makes my mouth water just thinking about it! The pastrami was also very very good. Sandwiches are served with a side and scrumptious dill/garlic pickles! Breakfast was a decent value at $14 for 2 eggs, corned beef or pastrami (sliced on the side or scrambled with the eggs, your choice), a side of potatoes, cottage cheese, fruit or tomatoes, and choice of bread or choice of bagel & cream cheese. the scrambled eggs with bologna (flash from my childhood!) was a bit cheaper. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Oh, and the iced tea (plain or mango) was excellent.

Lunch in Beverly hills

By Lee B |

It was more fun listening to the other diners than we've had in a long time. Locals greeted each other warmly yet chatted with visitors, too! The true feel of a New York Jewish Deli. The Matzoh ball soup was a treat.

Never heard of it, but were driving on Pico, saw the crowd going in, and said "let's go"

By beeperVancouver |

Fantastic deli. We'll go back whenever we are in Los Angeles. We are actually heading to Rodeo Drive to Nate and Al's, but since this is in the heart of a Jewish area, it seemed like a smart choice. It is 65 years old. Our waitress was working there 26 years. Delicious mushroom barley soup. A cup is huge. My husband had a lox and white fish combo sandwich on a bagel. He loved it and thought the cole slaw was outstanding. Wonderful pickles. I was boring and had what I wanted: an egg ehite veggie omelet and splurged with a whole wheat bagel and cream cheese. Portions are VERY generous. We saw gorgeous salads, and sandwiches served to other guests, and blintzes. Chicken soup was served eith, among other choices, matxoh balks, noodles, kreplach, etc. There's a new pastrami that they are proud of a new preparation. Lots of people ordered it. The kids were happy, too with the kid's menu. Checked out the desserts on our way out when we walked through the store. Wow-yummy stuff. Tons of takeout. Valet parking. Lovely patio.

Great deli!

By marie b |

Factors is not elegant or glamorous but it has the authentic feel of a New York deli. Everything I have ever ordered here has been delicious but my all-time favorite is the Sky High roast turkey sandwich on rye. It's made with a mound of real carved turkey, Russian dressing, and cole slaw. The giant cookies (Black and White and Linzer Tarts) are scrumptious. Not a fancy date-night place but great for a dependable, hearty meal.

Delicious Deli

By adamandtaly1 |

The corned beef on rye is an original classic and they do a awesome sandwich. The servers need to take more notes to get the orders right. Odd having a server come to a table of 8 and say "you better order everything at once because i cannot come back and forth". Huh?!?

Rude treatment and Unethical Pricing

By Jim G |

We were in the area on business for a few days. After reading the reviews, we decided to give Factor’s Famous Deli a try. Upon arrival, nobody greeted us at the front. As we walked in, a woman at a cash register yelled (yes yelled) at us that she had to verify our vaccination status before entering. Now we realized this was the current requirement in Los Angeles County, but to yell at us was unacceptable. Once we produced our proof of vaccination, we were allowed to sit with the rest of our party, who had already been seated. The other members of our party told us they were told not to worry about proof of vaccination as they entered and allowed to be seated shortly before us. Once we were seated, our waiter, “Edgar” brought menus and waters at our requests. I ordered the Hot Pastrami Sandwich with a side of Potato Salad. The physical menu from the restaurant reflected the price was $18 for my meal. Approximately 20 minutes later the food was delivered. It tasted good. The pastrami was tasty and the potato salad was average (think Costco). When we were done and Edgar delivered our checks. I noticed my check showed the price to be $21 for my meal plus tax. Almost all of our checks were $2 - $3 above the menu pricing. I asked Edgar about mine, as I assumed he entered something in the computer wrong. His response was nothing less than unprofessional and rude. In a dismissive tone, he told us the prices had changed roughly four months prior, but they have not updated the menus yet to reflect the higher price. We were all shocked by his callous attitude about it, but as we were in town on business decided not to make a scene. We later pulled there menu up online, and the price was even different than the menu price and the prices we were charged. I will never go back to this restaurant based upon their unethical pricing, and embarrassing and inconsistent treatment upon arrival. There are many other choices in the area to enjoy an honest meal.

Fast Service, Fair Food

By DiscerningTrav27 |

The service here was very good and very fast. The food was only OK. I had an omelette, which was basically tasteless, served with greasy hash browns. Maybe if they took more time with the food it would taste better. The others in our party had breakfast and one had a salad. The only one who truly enjoyed the food was the one who had the salad. If I thought I might return, I'd probably try a salad the next time.

I'm not sure where the "famous" comes from...

By travbud1 |

Certainly a busy spot, but not the best deli. I found the soup to be very bland. My sandwich was piled high, but was not anything special. The service was fairly uninspired and at times just rude. Glad to see it is a popular spot for locals, but don't think I would return or recommend.

Fun Jewish style deli

By Nick S |

A hugely extensive menu Very expensive for what you’re getting V popular buzzy place . TV to watch in background if company is poor !!

An iconic LA place -- still good!

By Trup |

We met friends for Sunday breakfast. Pleasant service, decent ambience and the food, while not exceptional, was quite good. I ordered scrambled eggs with lox and onions --- accompanied by hashbrowns. The eggs were just fine but the hashbrowns were exceptionally well done. Located conveniently on Pico in West LA, this place remains a favorite for locals and for visitors.

Yes its kosher

By ibvic |

Wow...I really like this place. You can tell is a family own establishment and the locals populate it well. There is a relationship with the waiters/waitresses and the repeat guest. That's a good thing. So I walked down the street from my hotel and walked in get a feel for the aesthetics and the menu. I was well received by the young man at the counter and pretty promptly taken to a table. The waiter approached me in a very friendly manner and welcomed me. I placed my order and got just a little bit of advice. Shortly after the food arrived and it was great to see a nice robust quantity of food. The presentation was great and the taste was exceptionally good. The dinner, Brisket of Beef covered an assortment of areas for $24.00. Trust me...it was fresh and quite tasty. This was a very comfortable place to have dinner. Unfortunately I could not get back there for Breakfast or Lunch. I certainly wanted to.

Classic deli

Great deli menu-- especially the smoked fish-- large booths, good service. I try to make it there for breakfast whenever I'm in the area.

Very good deli!

The chicken soup was very good. The sandwiches were large and very tasty. Decent potato salad. The carrot cake was excellent. A good solid deli.

Old School Quality

By Joe |

We were staying in the Beverly Hills Marriott and just wanted to get something to bring back to our room. Just around the corner was Factors Deli. We walked there and saw there was a full restaurant serving a wide selection of food ranging from breakfast items to full dinners. We opted for take out and had the pepper turkey on rye. Took about 15 minutes and what we received was high quality and packed with turkey, sharp cheddar, lettuce, and tomato. The sandwich was hugh, so we split it. We also ordered the homemade chips which were great as well. Nice place with several drink and food options as well as deli meats, salads, and cheeses. Sports memorabilia is displayed throughout. Easy to see why it has been around for a long period of time.

CEO of Company tries Factors #liked it..😀

By David |

Working near Beverly Hills for 2 months I stumbled upon a fantastic deli called Factors. A great place to unwind after a long day . Everything is good here . Lots of A list stars and sports Icons photos surround you while enjoying your meal . A great place . Very clean . Simple good service . I give this establishment a 2 thumbs up👍👍 I'll be back!

Take Out a Second Mortgage!

By 1TravelWriter |

What was once a great Family-owned Deli has succumbed the the ranks of greedy restauranteurs, looking to rip off people. A sandwich is nearly $20 (while the portion size has shrunk) and if you want fries with your sandwich, add another $2.75. We understand that costs rise, but Factor’s is now outrageously priced. We used to eat here twice a week. Now, we dine at Factors only on the occasion when someone we’re insists on it.

Deli lunch

By Micah G |

Nice experience at the Deli. Had a tasty pastrami sandwich with a bowl of delicious Cole slaw. My waiter was very prompt, ordered quickly, got several Arnie Palmers. I’d go back.

Never been Impressed

By travelfourless |

Not sure what's famous about Factor's "famous" Deli, but I've always preferred Nate n Al's up the road on Beverly Drive, 2nd block north of Wilshire. The food here at Factor's is average and of course like most delis, overpriced. Had breakfast here and it was decent. If staying at the Residence Inn across the street, it might be a convenient stop. I was disappointed when Juniors up the road a few miles on Pico and Westwood closed, although it was replaced by new ownership and the name Lenny's. Juniors, in my view, was always a step above Factors. Now Lenny's, it might be worth venturing the extra few miles to Westwood and Pico where they also have a parking lot, unlike Factors. Or just try Norms, which has improved their food and is a lot cheaper for breakfast than all of the above (Pico near Veteran)!

Exactly as a Classic Deli Should Be

By edyrp |

This is a classic Jewish deli, with the addition of valet parking. The place was busy but there was no wait. The patrons came from all backgrounds, which makes this deli modern. All of the food was fresh, there was a large variety of choices and the service was efficient. My companions and I tried the soups, sandwiches and egg dishes and everyone was happy. We will return.

Really good deli

By Northern_Traveler00 |

Stopped in for brunch on 4th of July. Deli closed early for the holiday but we were there before 11, so no issues. Lots of tables available. Very helpful server. We shared 1 potato pancake ($6, was the one item that seemed overpriced) which was very good, came with applesauce and sour cream. She had the whitefish salad app ($20) came with lettuce and tomato and choice of bread or bagel. We got the bagel which was quite good, as was the whitefish salad. I had the scrambled matzah Brie , which also came with sour cream and applesauce and was cooked perfectly. Service was very attentive. Place is fun, with lots of memorabilia on walls. Bathrooms were clean. Bakery section was very tempting but we kept our cool and abstained.

Service is Impeccable and the menu filled with options upon options of deli food

By Robin S |

The five of us enjoyed crisp and tasty potato pancakes for an appetizer. So good we ordered another. The corn beef vegan sandwich was quite a treat and our vegan companion was smiling. The corned beef hash was excellent as was my Greek salad. I ordered it with a piece of salmon, but the salmon was a bit overdone. It is a costly deli restaurant, but portions are of a good size. Again, service was great.

Only in a pinch and close

By Alwaystravel999 |

There is much better deli, but if close and want to get in and out I find breakfast is much better than their lunch items.

Enormous menu but unfortunately it was noisy in their rear garden

By EarlFlorida2 |

Food was tasty with generous portions. Service was poor. Truck behind the rear garden was noisy so this pleasant location was unpleasant. Valet parking for $5.

A bit of history. Food ok......

By 6sandy6 |

We enjoyed our visits on different days for breakfast and then lunch. Many typical jewish deli selections and more and adequately done but not "to die for". We will go back when we crave for the food they offer but not as good as some of the others in competition

Factor's is the Best Jewish Deli Ever!

By JoyceA926 |

For a Jewish Deli - this is the best we have dined at! First off, Cynthia, our waitress made our dining extra special in every way - she made the 4 of us feel like we were the only ones in the Deli, thank you, Cynthia! We had no disappointments with all of the food eaten from the Pastrami and Corned Beef sandwiches on the homemade rye bread, to the pickles, to the green salad, fried Zucchini with apricot dipping sauce and onion rings (best ever) to several other dishes our guests ordered. We'll be back!

doesn't compare to other delis in the area

By mavenbay |

Doesn't compare to other delis on the Westside. Food is generally good, but service is weak. Last visit the food took too long to arrive, and every time our waiter walked down our aisle, he kept his eyes forward making it impossible to get his attention. I've been here many times, and have always found the service to be uneven. Most of the waitstaff seems unfocused, and there's never anybody in authority to complain to. Prices are high, and parking is hassle. Food generally ranges from okay to good, although the matzo ball soup I had was actually great. My mac and cheese was good, but my two dining partners had other dishes and reported mediocrity. My sister favors this joint, so I'll prolly be forced to return, which I'm okay with because she pays. But unless you're a schnorrer like me with a rich sister, stay away.

Great corned beef and excellent service from Jason

By Shelxxx |

This was a gem of a find, with many restaurants around it. The atmosphere was great and our server (Jason) was a lovely man, very friendly, chatty and helpful. He recommended the corned beef and cabbage al la Carter meal. Well what can I say. The three course meal was delicious and they don't skip on portion size either. It's an old fashioned restaurant/deli that was founded in 1948. Loved it!

Wonderful mix of tradition and good food

By Ori719 |

This place has been around for quote a while and has many sports memorabilia plus celebrity pictures (those that actually ate there). The food selection is enormous and they have recently come out with a Pastrami that is absolutely amazing.

Delicious, home-cooked style meal while away from home

By Nicole T |

Great food and a welcome change from eating fast food whilst on vacation. We stayed across the road at the Residence Inn, so it the deli was very convenient and we enjoyed their delicious, traditional chicken soup with some bagel chips. They have a very large menu and offer dine-in or take out and also deliver.

Feels like home

By Summerasalifestyle |

Parking is a challenge so just go ahead and use the valet in front cause BH parking cops are relentless. Guest wifi is really poor) There is something so comforting about a deli, especially a deli that's been around since forever. (1948). Long term staff, long term guests... I've gotten take-out from here several times. Decided to eat in this time. Ya know it's right when the first thing that lands on the table are pickles & a dish of cucumbers. Huge menu. Pastrami Is nice & tasty. Rye was a bummer & seemed microwaved crunchy? Matzo ball soup rivals my favorite (fromins in Santa Monica) There is a reason it's still around and stays busy. Factors is good, not great but good.

Must do!!

By EHumphriestravels |

Such a fun place to eat! Menu has something for everyone! We took a group for Birthday celebration and everyone loved food. I had bbq chicken salad and it was amazing. Loved the pickles. Customer Service amazing!

Deli-icious!

By richard g |

What a great surprise and open since 1948! The hall of fame walls are worth spending some time to ogle those who have frequented this spot. I had tongue sandwich for the first time in years and it was incredible. No alcohol served! We'll go again!

Hooray For Factors Famous Deli

By PVJB |

Earlier this year I met two lovely ladies and a young teenage boy from LA on vacation in New York at the hotel where I work ,Thompson Central Park Hotel. They mentioned they owned and invited me to stop by Factors Deli when I told them I was going to LA in April. Well it just so happened after my visit to Academy Museum of Motion Pictures I did indeed stop by and I’m glad I did. Factors Famous Deli is a phenomenal place to eat fresh top notch food, see some famous faces and just marvel at all the classic memorabilia which adorn the walls. One can almost inhale all the history. The welcome from Debbie is still fresh in my mind. Edie and Susie and young Ben too,Thank You all so very much for an unforgettable day at your legendary establishment. Hooray for Factors Famous Deli.

Consistently good deli food.

By getsaround7 |

Even with group of 12 in private room had great service. Every one pleased with food he/she ordered from soups to deli sandwiches to whole dinners. Waiters anticipated our needs.

Uninspiring

By 22club58 |

From the hostess, to the server, to the runner/bus boy there was no warmth of welcome. The staff simply did not smile, looked tired and appeared to be going through the motions. It was Saturday lunchtime and the restaurant was maybe half full. The server was fast to point out that the printed menus had out-of-date pricing and that the menu with correct could be downloaded. That turned out not to be factual as the prices on the check agreed with neither the printed menu nor the downloaded menu. The ambiance was lackluster but the food was OK - not the best, but OK. The main issue being portion control exercised in such a way that the sandwiches were not the over-stuffed servings of meat that are the hallmark of some great delis - at $25 for a sandwich served with the smallest of coleslaw sides.

Large Menu, Convenient Valet Parking

By MarshBruce |

This large Jewish deli has definitely improved over the past few years. The matzo brei with fried salami is better than average, as is the matzo soup. Fine service. Good coffee. Excellent kipper with eggs.

Great Traditional Deli Food Like I Remembered from My Childhood

By mspfaithful |

As my title says, this food brought me back to wonderful memories of my childhood. While I wasn't raised in the Los Angeles area, I was raised to enjoy great deli food like this was. One finds a wide variety of dishes: starters and noshes, deli appetizers; soup, sandwiches, and salads. I hadn't had such great potato salad since my youth! (And yes, I'm 71 years young). Dishes to satisfy Jewish and Gentile tastes are available. Take-out, catering and special events are a part of the Factor's Deli service. The wait service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is spotless. Because this is the crowded downtown area of Los Angeles, one can be happy that valet parking is available. A bench outside the entrance is provided for customers awaiting their cars. I would give this place an A1 rating!.

Good neighborhood deli

By cooliejax |

Good deli opened 7 days a week in a predominantly orthodox area. Good, consistent food Food choices vary...not just deli...great mushroom barley soup...just like Michigan but poor rye bread

One to visit

By Ole P |

This is one of several old fashioned delis we visited while passing through LA, we found that in these type of eateries you get good food without being robbed blind! Apart from LA obviously being amazing, big, noisy, congested and full of attractions and things to hate/love, it is also very expensive if you want to eat good food with wine. Factors Famous Deli was a good choice for inexpensive and good solid food, great staff and not snobby...

Gotta love a deli which serves some vegan dishes

By Robin S |

My son had the avocado and egg toast which was perfect. I had the arugula tuna salad which was delicious and unique. The half was more than plenty. I ordered the Vegan Pastrami for my husband at home and it was wonderful. As close to Pastrami can come when it is plant based. Excellent service.

Nice but have had better

By MallorcaLover |

Near our hotel so was an obvious choice for breakfast. Food was okay, nice but nothing amazing. Good service.

A deli lunch

By GlenBeach |

Friendly staff food average not worth visiting. The place is nothing to write home about. I'm sure there are better delis around

An LA Classic

By CSamSmith |

great food, fabulous service. A classic delicatessen, serving happy customers since 1948. I love their very tasty pastrami and their Reuben sandwiches. Excellent meats. I also love their pickles and the pickled stuff they put out at your table when you're seated. There is a local crowd that frequents Factor's. The staff knows their customers, their families, there favorite foods. It is an experience to dine here.

Great Deli

By Barry W |

Whenever we get to Los Angeles, we head first to Factor's Deli for some great food. Both the corned beef and rare roast beef are excellent. But so are the free pickles and delicious bread. My wife loves the smoked fish. There's a lot of characters eating and serving food there too, which makes for good people watching. Parking can be a bit of a drag, and read all the parking signs to avoid a ticket.

Something for Everyone

By bsmithpe |

We enjoyed our meal from Factors Famous Deli. We did take out and ordered half sandwiches. They come with a side and pickles. The sandwiches were large (even the half) and tasty. The menu selection is huge, something for everyone.

Business Meeting at Factors Deli

By star95presson |

I found the Deli to be clean, busy, staffed with very friendly individuals and upon arrival ordered the Tuna Sandwich. Which was portioned more than I normally eat at any given lunch, lasting two days and if in the area I would utilized this establishment again. Only short coming is parking, unless you prefer valet parking which adds to cost, I simply parked on an adjacent street. Which requires strict reading of posted parking signs and yes Los Angeles is desperate for money and will cite and or tow your vehicle.

Been coming here since I was a kid

By Spencer M |

I've been coming here since I was a kid and now that I live in the Pacific Northwest overtime I'm back in LA this is a must stop for me. It never disappoints. Everything is very good to excellent. The service as good as it gets, and no place is faster!

Must Do in LA

By Jason S |

Awesome place. Great food , value for money. It's always our 1st stop if we go to LA. The food size is huge and always very tasty. Service is soo friendly, Give them a try!

Great meal great place

By NurseMD |

We were down here for surgery. The deli is absolutely fantastic. They had a nice component of some fun bottled drinks and the breakfast was amazing. The oatmeal and pancakes were fantastic. They adjusted our food according to the style we wanted with the extras we wanted. This is definitely a revisit place. The staff are extremely friendly

Local hang out - great food

By Henry H |

This is a local hang out with great "real" food. One of the few remaining old style Jewish delis in LA. My favorites are their barley soup, Mediterranean omelet and the arugula salad with low mayo tuna. Their brisket and corned beef is also a big favorite. If you decide to go in a nice day, try their back patio.

Say Goodbye to Deli's

By foodaspoetry |

It was never the best Los Angeles Deli, but it was at its best for breakfast, which was reasonably priced and could make whatever you wanted. The matzo ball soup. . . all the chicken soup . . . was decent but nothing to write home about, same for the pastrami and other sandwiches. . . and breakfast was its saving grace, it was GOOD. The place has been around since 1948 for gods sake. . .so it looks like a Deli, comfy booths, clean, used to be mostly good old time waitresses who were used to cranky people ordering in a cranky way. And, even after 20 years away, in a deli barren rural town. . .it was still decent as of a few years ago. But, Los Angeles issues have finally done it in: no parking lot and horrible street parking with restricted signs, so you are stuck with VALET...and the prices have skyrocketed. For everything. So, we split yesterdays final meal: a beef dip sandwich on a french roll with a minute cup of potato salad and a side order of thick fries, well done. It was plenty for 2 people to share, which it had better be since the sandwich alone was $19.00. The pickles that come on the table weren't REALLY "done"' though the cucumbers, onions and dill on the table were nicely mariated. When it was priced less. . . decent though not spectacular food was fine. . . but at these prices, nope.

Top Notch old school deli

By TheMacallan1 |

Just like the NY staple, this deli is authentic. Fresh rye bread, delicious, piled high meats. They serve some great mustards as well. I highly recommend the beef stuffed cabbage roll......tender and delicious. They also make Home made lemonades......strawberry is tremendous. Homemade soups too. Valet parking if needed. I parked on side street during the day.

I love this place!

By Chris F |

This place is excellent! This is one of my favorite delis in LA to be honest. We visit LA several times a year and stay at hotels close by so frequent Factors on every visit. They have a very large menu with many options which are all very tasty. We love their salads and pastrami Reuben sandwiches. The prices here are very affordable and the service is always great.

Rude, Nasty Lousy Food

By Exploration734639 |

The owner to Factor's is a boisterous nasty overweight women, who treats her customers and staff poorly to say the lest. I ordered tuna, it was swimming in mayo, white fish as dry as can be. I had a few more things to order and the rude counter man didn't ask and put these two items aside. I thought he went to the back to get something 15 minutes later I asked the owner who opened a big mouth to me. Canter's, Nate N Al's here come never again to this awful place.

Too big- lost its personal charm

By jerry k |

Very busy for lunch. The reason is it’s a local deli that has sit down service and waiters. The food is typical NY deli style.. you do get pickles on the side. I was disappointed with the two salads I tried, but redeemed by the sandwich. They also have a very large dinner and hot dishes offered.. Valet parking is a plus on Pico Blvd.

Disappointing deli

By Deena B |

Since I'd heard so much about this place being the greatest deli in LA, I had high hopes for it. The menu is quite extensive so you won't have trouble finding something to order. It's pricey but no more so than other places like it. Unfortunately, the food turned out to be just average. My corned beef sandwich was too fatty, and the potato knish I ordered was disappointingly lacking in flavor. The matzah ball soup was alright but really nothing special. The service was just ok, with the waitress forgetting my order and getting other orders mixed up (granted we were a large group, but still). I definitely think there are better places to get good deli food in LA (it's worth driving further to Woodland Hills).

Cannot recommend

By Ditch |

Ordered Sandwiches and sides to go. Waited 15 minutes past designated pick-up time stated on phone order. Restaurant was empty! "Roast Beef Dip" was meager, dry, tasteless, and chewy on a roll that resembled Wonder Bread in texture and dryness. Two garden salads ordered were also tasteless, overly chopped, and thrown together. Side potatoes were cold, soggy, and tasteless. Tossed most of it after a few bites. Just awful. First and last visit for us.

continues to be tasty

By jeffrey k |

I have eaten at Factors many times. In recent visits to LA, I have had the opportunity to compare Factor's with some other delis, some seeming to have a better rating on some websites. However, I come back to the fact that this is a really good deli. The menu is wide, typical for an old-fashioned place, but the food comes down to pastrami or corned beef, in the most recent visit, a Reuben. Truth is that they make a nice sandwich, a huge sandwich, such that a half was enough for me. It is fun to people-watch in Factor's, too. Everyone seems to look like my parents or grandparents from the 50's and 60's at times.

Great Kosher Style Food

By Stanton M |

Had pastrami and a corned beef sandwich with a potato knish and a cream soda. Great pickles on the table add a nice touch. Place is clean and has valet parking. Parking on your own might be tough. Very nice neighborhood on that stretch of Pico.

Great Take Out

By Chris F |

We were in Los Angeles last week in the UCLA area and found Factors Famous Deli & Restaurant. We did take out 2 nights as we were staying just across the street at the Marriott. This place was so cool with a huge menu with lots of variety. We did salads, sandwiches ( the pastrami Reuben is to die for), pita wraps and Panini sandwiches. We’ll be back in the area in October and I can’t wait to go again.

They strive for rudeness and poor service

By DrMarvinCarter |

When I complained about the rudeness my friend told me they will consider it a compliment and that my review would increase their business. My goal though is to forward those who might not enjoy such a place. Also, they attempted to deny my service dog entrance and the hostess finally just threw up her hands and shrugged her shoulders, so I found a booth and set down. Ten minutes later a waiter came over and began an odyssey of slow and brusque service. Or what I am told they consider service. So, if you want bland food and rudeness this is your place. And expensive.

I've been enjoying Factors for years

By SeattleTravelLover1 |

Huge selection of meals and side dishes.I'm not sure how they do it, as everything is pretty faithful deli with quality ingredients. You can't go wrong with any of the deli meat sandwiches. The hot dishes are tasty altho not especially anything particularly to "write home about". Soups, knishes, kugels, traditional Jewish egg dishes, lox and white fish, ... just think "deli" and Factors has it!

MISINFORMED

By Amy S |

I called the restaurant to inquire about availability of being seated promptly Sunday morning I was told to come over for breakfast as they had plenty of tables and there would be no wait Alas when we arrived 15 min later we were told It would be at least a 30 wait Bait and Switch Be honest please in the future

Good food and service

By manoatruck |

Huge menu , Jewish style deli with good food and service . Only valet parking street parking difficult . Prices higher than average .

By Penelope F |

Wonderful food with a huge selection of meals. The staff are very welcoming. The atmosphere is wonderful and food is very good value for your money

Sunday Breakfast - with the family

By Stanton M |

With east and west coast family members Factors had breakfast for everyone from eggs, to pancakes, to bagel and lox. Very good omelette was followed by bacon and sausage with plenty of refills of the hot coffee.

Fabby food

By stoopswatson |

Great place. Staff very good and helpful. Half a Cobb Salad can feed two. Thin onion rings to die for. Cheese burger sliders tasty. So many choices hard to decide. Serves breakfast at dinner. What's not to love?

Matzo Ball Super!!

By David F |

I finally made it to Factors Famous Deli. All I wanted was matzo ball soup. It was a chilly evening so off I went with my girlfriend. And...I was quite delighted by what I found there. A delicious matzo ball soup with chicken and noodles. Soooo tasty on a cool late winter evening. I'll be back.

Excellent!

By spursone |

This place never ceases to amaze me! From the free pickle appetizers at dinner to the incredibly good corned beef sandwich. The food is a bit pricey but well worth it. We also had breakfast there one day. The waffles are very good and the bacon crisp and thick. If you go, you will be hooked.

Great breakfasts

By MCHMF |

We ate here every morning for breakfast as it was so good. Huge choice of food, great service and the food was delicious. Highly recommended

Bland

By milktray |

Went here for a family brunch on a Sunday morning, had the chopped liver on rye, tasted vaguely like wet cement, the lemon tea was fine. Definitely not going back, left wondering is there any real Jewish food left in LA?

Longtime Local Deli is just okay

By JDinLA |

I'd heard about Factor's for a long time and given that it's on Pico in a busy area, I was glad to see a valet parking option for $8 (plus a nice tip because they work hard!). We were seated for a late lunch, and the wait staff was a bit confusing to me. I ordered 1/2 Nova and 1/2 whitefish. The Nova was very good (I wanted to try it since I heard it was from the East Coast) but not tremendously different from any fine good deli. The whitefish was awful. It was so dry and (although I never send anything back), I asked if I could have the other half be Nova and they did that. I love a good Dr. Brown's (we ordered three) but at $4.50/bottle, I was a bit surprised. The other complaint I had was that I wanted to order four sandwiches to go and had to order those separately, after lunch, from the same location. It would have been nice to order through our waiter (who kept changing). The bakery good were good too, and I took home a rye bread. They are generous with the meat portions, which is appropriate given the prices. Corned beef and tongue were good, as was the chopped liver, and if you ask for half-sour/new pickles, they will bring them to you.

Delight at the deli

By Melvyn G |

Enjoyed our dinner at Factors on Pico that we went back for a second meal before returning to London. Great deli sandwiches and entrees plus we really liked the matza ball soup. Service is fast and friendly just like the delis of yesteryear. Not kosher but really traditional dishes.

NO Kosher Corned Beef

By Lee S |

Went for Kosher Corned beef and was told sorry we don’t have it. Wasn’t very good. The Cole slaw was good, macaroni salad has zero seasoning.

Good sandwiches but no beer

By Beatriz Oelckers |

We tried sandwiches as the menu is too extensive. They were good, better than expected. The service was quick and we wre offred with recommendations.

OK is not OK. Like any diner in NY. Nothing too special, but maybe for LA it is

By SFTRVLR |

Not sure what the fuss is about here. The food quality was no better than any random diner in NY. The menu was insane- even beating NY diners in its breadth. I think there must have been over 1,000 items on the menu. The kids menu alone had like 75 things on it! Food quality was average to slightly below. One thing that was entertaining was when we asked the waitress "How is the Tortilla soup?" her answer was "It's ok" with a shrug. It was like that insurance commercial where they say "OK is not OK" . That would be my (and is) headline for this place. We also asked for a way to take some soup (not the tortilla soup) home and had to ask THREE TIMES before getting anything. Blase service (and it was NOT at all crowded) No offense, but maybe LA is so desperate for any restaurant that is not a cookie cutter chain that places like this get elevated to popularity.

corned beef

By ricdb |

corned beef and cabbage a plate you can never eat it all, matzo ball soup large and hot, nice salads .

New York in LA

By Les M |

If you love classic deli with New York style Pastrami and corned beef (and do NOT forget the chopped liver). this place is to die for. Portions are huge so order just a half sandwich. You will NOT be disappointed. And they have valet parking. How sweet that is!

Fantastic food and service !!!

By scott c |

Well what can I say the service was top notch. The food was great and loads of it. Well worth the money and boy will we be back.

Just like the old country (i.e., New York)

By SoCalTraveler91356 |

Very good deli in West Los Angeles. Very extensive menu of deli and non-deli items. Rye bread was outstanding, and the patrami was very good. (I prefer hotter, but those days are gone with the wind.) Pickles and cucumber salad served as you arrive. Very large facility. We reserved and used a private room for our party of 18. Service was very good. Parking in the neighborhood is very difficult. There are significant restrictions. Factor's provides valet parling at times. $4.50 service charge (plus tip.)

Best Deli in Los Angeles!!!

By Rockdoc7 |

Wen to Factors with a friend on a recommendation. It did not disappoint. We both had the hot pastrami sandwich an was among the best in town. Also the egg cream was fantastic although they didn't use U bet chocolate but Hershey's. Ill forgive them for that.

Hit the spot!

By Sharon N |

I started with the sweet and sour cabbage soup, which was do delicious! I also had a chicken salad sandwich which had just the right amount of mayo. With lettuce and tomato and pickle on the side, what a sandwich!

Happy tummy and Yummy

By Giavonni C |

Been searching for a Deli to make a Reuben and finally found it. Nice size sandwich and crispy fries. Nice size restaurant

Great Deli

By Traveler1959-123 |

This is a great spot for lunch. Business was packed, even early, which indicates how good the food is. Great menu variety and very good flavor.

Accommodated a group of 15 excellently

By Artsy12 |

Very easy to make reservations. I called to re-confirm twice, and they were completely on top of it. Arrived and there was another group in the room. We were scheduled for noon, and we were assured that the group knew and that they would be out in time. The room was ready for us at noon! And they were not in a hurry to kick us out, since the room was not reserved after our meeting. Everyone was really professional, friendly, accommodating. The food was good, and there is a reason why Factor's has been around a long time. They have valet parking, which I recommend if you are staying longer than two hours. If you park on the street, pay heed to the two hour signs and move your car, even if it's a short move. We'll do another meeting here before trying any other location.

Great Deli in the West

By Ruben2445 |

Great food and N.Y. Deli kind of portions, their cold cuts are amazingly good, the menu is very ample. It is a must when we visit Los Angeles. The smoked fishes and Bagels are excellent, Would specially recommend the Nova Lox, it''s delicious and not salty at all.

way over priced

By Richard-T-and-Anna-T |

Ridiculous how much Matzo ball soup is. Have to gouge you for everything, even simple soup. Done with this place

Lunch on Saturday

By Mark L |

The menu has numerous choices. The food was awesome. We shared a dinner of stuffed cabbage. The meal came with a salad (they split), bread, steamed vegetables, and dessert. Plenty of food and fast service.

Super Fast and Good

By PapalBull |

Two of us decided to have dinner here and ordered appetizers while deciding on main dishes. Smart move. The Matzo ball soup with chicken, beef cabbage roll, and super hot and crunchy onion rings starters left us satiated. The service was so fast it seemed lie they were waiting for us to arrive and knew what we'd order! Plenty of water and coffee later - we left happy. What nice smart servers, reliable deli menu, and friendly atmosphere....this is a definite "go back" place. We parked on the street after 6:00 PM Monday so it was free!

Great family deli

By dougrh |

This deli is great and has been serving since 1948! We had sandwiches with sides. Daily special dinner Is $16.95 . Great half sandwich and soup or salad too.

Great place and swrvixe

By jerry h |

My wife and I stayed at the Marriott across the street. BTW, They deliver to your room at either of the Marriotts close by and can even charge your order to room. It's like really good food as room service. Anyway, we came in late one evening and didn't feel like going out for dinner. We saw the menu in the room, which is much more than a deli menu. Burgers, stir fry, chicken I could go one but their menu is huge. The name deli throws you off to the selection of good food they have. So we called and ordered a burger, chicken teriyaki stir fry and a piece of chocolate cheesecake. Great tasting quality food that was delivered faster than expected and with great service. We will definitely be making Factors and must eat at when we're town again.

Best pastrami

By Timothy W |

Old school deli with house made meats. The pastrami was perfect. Very tender and flavorful. Great rye bread. Excellent service. The pickles were the only disappointment as they lack flavor (they were free however). Gigantic menu so something for everyone.

A typical deli

By ExperiencedTravelers |

A good deli, with exactly the food you would expect at a deli. We both had soup, and it was fine. I also got some baked goods, which were very tasty. Street parking was impossible, and valet parking was an astronomical $12. Other than that, it was a good experience.

lunch time service

By K T |

I have been to factor famous deli for past 10 years and overall they do a very good job. However, lately during lunch times (when they get busy), the service slows down. They need more servers when it gets busy. Most of people have less then an hour lunch break and its impossible get out of factors in less then an hour. They have a good kosher selection, but its not the best kosher restaurant. Their servers have been very nice

Great today; Fair tomorrow

By Courtenay O |

Excellent service both days, but Thursday before noon everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Second visit Friday at 2 was disappointing: cool fries, not so fresh bread and cool meat. Fries were exchanged for hot ones. Sandwich was microwaved. Advice? Go before 1PM on a weekday.

Lunch

By Cynthia Y |

We went to Factors Famous Deli because it was right across from the Marriott in Beverly Hills, we checked in and very tired and hungry from flying so we walked into Famous and it reminded us of our deli back home and the food was just as good, pretty busy and prompt service, it was nice to have a place of walking distance from the hotel. Our first meal in LA in the spot!

Nice Looking Restaurant OK food

By mike_wexler |

Factor's on Pico is an old time L A deli with a multi page menu of Jewish delicacies. To truly get a fair picture of it, it would take several trips. Sadly to me, I didn't find it worth several trips. I ordered my standard deli fare--Pastrami on Rye and a Dr. Brown's diet Cream Soda. The pastrami was good, meaning not great and not bad. It came on rye bread which was almost great, but the crust was chewy rather than crispy, and took a lot of work to "process", making the sandwich a bit less than it could have been. The accompaniment of thin home made potato chips were crispy and dry and quite good. I thought the pickles served were unworthy of a good deli. They were only salty, without any flavor. A good dill or New York (or LA) garlic pickle needs to be served with the sandwich, as an enhancement rather than the detraction these foul tasting pickles provided. The crowning touch however, was the server, Chris H. He was in one package, condescending, inattentive and rude, which really made a neutral experience very negative. It takes a lot to anger me about a server, but this guy got on my nerves immediately and for the whole meal. I had to stand to get his attention to bring more water to the table, and he was about to take one of the two glasses away to refill when I told him to take both, so he grudgingly carried a water pitcher over to refill the glasses. He had to be reminded to bring mustard for the sandwich and got away so quickly, I had to ask him again to bring a different mustard for the other party's sandwich. He returned twice for obligatory "how are you doing's", but was unavailable during the meal when things were needed. This was not a theme restaurant with annoying servers as part of the ambiance, but just an unskilled, and perhaps overtaxed server. I provided a minimal tip for minimal service, but it probably will just delay his moving into a profession more suited to his temperament. In sum, with all of the good delis in the LA area, I don't think I would return to Factor's. I am much more satisfied at Greenblatt, where I have always ordered that same lunch and have never been disappointed with the food or the service.

Good food with good value

The food here is plentiful and consistently prepared. There is a good selection, staff is friendly and attentive. Many Kosher dishes. There is a deli one enters before going into the restaurant. The decor is old and the place could do with a face lift but It is do busy I guess no one cares.

Great take out spot!

Nice selection of items. It is across the street from the Residence Inn. Friendly staff. Liked the history.

Thanksgiving Tradition Continues

By BrettR |

Drove 65 miles to meet my sister before her work shift started at a local hospital. We have been doing this on Thanksgiving for the past 11 years. She ordered the Roast Turkey at $18.00 and I ordered the Brisket of Beef with a potato pancake at $19.00 I then asked the waiter, Eduardo, for the cucumber salad they serve at dinner. He actually said that since it was 2:00 pm it was lunch. I said we ordered "dinners" off the menu. He wouldn't serve us any cucumber salad or pickles. With my "dinner salad" I asked for egg bread. He said "rye". I said "egg or find me Suzi or Debi" I received 1 slice of egg. I miss my old waitress Sarah, but she retired. Brisket this year was on the fatty side. Turkey dinner was good, so was the soup. Just disappointing when you spend that amount of money for a meal and you look forward to something, and you are given a hard time. Next year on Thanksgiving, we will have to meet at another restaurant.

Great pictures

The food is just a normal . Nothing special. Little overpriced. However, pictures and psoters that are hanging on the walls from almost every decade makes it a must see location. Service is friendly and they do get very busy during lunch time

Definitely would return

Factor's is a top-notch Los Angeles deli that I would return to again and again. Factor's is everything one could ask for in a restaurant: fresh, quality food, consistent, clean, fast and friendly service, good atmosphere, Factor's truly has it all which is what made me what to return when visiting Los Angeles back in the summer of 2010. They have fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. It's a very central location and was very conveniently located for me because it's right across from the Residence Inn Beverly Hills that I was staying at. I came here twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast - both were excellent. I sat in the outdoor patio which is nicely decorated and with Los Angeles's year round nice weather the lack of air conditioning was not bothersome at all. Factor's is in my opinion as good as it gets and I highly recommend it!

delicious sandwiches

By jeffrey k |

we were hugely in need of deli food and staying near this restaurant. staff friendly. service reasonably efficient served with three types of pickles at the outset. to some, the sandwiches may have been a bit bland for pastrami but i enjoyed fact that it was lean, tongue was wonderful. served with three types of mustard. potato salad nice, and the onion rings were delicious. cheesecake dessert was large serving, good for two, a bit sweeter than i like it, but good. is it Katz' New York? that is my benchmark. is it Corky and Lennies of Cleveland? that is my wife's benchmark. well, not either, but still Factors is not shabby and we would gladly return again.

Just OK

My friend who was on vacation with me used to eat here several years ago when he lived in L.A. So he insisted on going for breakfast. My guess is that this place may have been great back in the day but, generously, is now is just average. Both of our dishes had scrambled eggs as a part of them, and they were overlooked. In fact, my friend's eggs had brown parts on the bottom. Same with our hash browns. Apparently the cook doesn't know how to gently cook eggs. My bagel with cream cheese was good, but I have had better bagels. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. I also laughed to myself because on the way to/from the men's room I crossed paths with 4 staff members who were on their way to/from cleaning tables. I had to get out of their way because they were determined not to alter their path. I am used to staff stepping aside and letting a paying customer pass rather than be on a collision course. If we return to L.A. we won't return to this restaurant.

Fantastic

The fried onion starter was delicious and a very large portion easily enough for four. My wife's chicken pita was very Mediterranean and over stuffed. Easily enough for two. My pastrami was the best I have ever eaten. So tender chewing was almost unnecessary. No room for desert but they looked good. Service was excellent. Priced were very fair.

Good spread in a deli

Spacious deli with ability to handle large diners. Here for brunch and ordered a few things. Turkey loaf sandwich was below expectation. Burned beef hash and egg was alright and Matza soup was ok as well. Easy dining, and many things on menu for you to try it out.

Such a great place. Great for vegetarian too. Got to have the pastrami though. Lovely ladies in charge too.

Tasty food and good value.

We ate here twice (breakfast and lunch) and enjoyed our meals both times. It seemed popular with the locals which is always a good sign. Food was tasty and service excellent.

The menu at this place goes on and on. Everyone was able to find something that interested them. I had a wrap and it was delicious. The service was great. The prices were good. I would go back here again!
