Good place

By kpsharp37190 |

We didn't eat here, just had drinks, but it is a cool place. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the experience.

Good!

Really good place for a cold beer and watching a game. Very enjoyable atmosphere, friendly service and great location overall

Does not home reservations

By MSJ |

They do not honor reservations here that was made over a month in advance. Was told by the hostess, “I’m sorry, we are really busy right now” and yet they checked us in on opentable as dining.

#MommyDaddyTime

By Georgia D |

Great service and delicious food! I had the Bleu Cheese Lamb Sliders and hubby had the Fish & Chips Cup and we of course had Harp. Josh Brannon band was playing the night we were there...HUGE BONUS! Will definitely return!

Irish pub food updated

By REGENA S |

Shepherds pie and colcannon about as authentic as it gets. RLT- rashers, lettuce, tomato and avocado sandwich with thin crispy fries, an excellent choice. Smoked salmon appetizer was excellent. Inside is furnished with dark, heavy wood, yet has a comfortable feel. In this part of Buckhead, parking is almost non existent except in a lot or by valet.

SO much fun!

By RachelO1990 |

Fado is such a fun place to go! It has a little bit of everything. If you want to have good food, they have it (my personal favorite is the Fado Pub burger - YUM!). If you want to party hard, they have it. If you want to watch sports, they have it. All and all it is a friendly place for all tastes and needs and very affordable as well! Their staff is great and always in a good mood. The best part, it is conveniently located in one of the most beautiful shopping centers in Atlanta (The Shops Buckhead Atlanta) and they offer parking validation for up to 3 hours.

interesting place for lunch

By fkher |

unique irish pub with original decor and ambiance. different rooms decorated to represent all facets of irish social life, geography and history. it was a neat experience. typical pub food served quickly and with competence. it was good food, nothing extraordinary at a fair price. served with a flair

Nothing special

By michael p |

I found this a very noisy restaurant with a menu that was nothing special. The food was at best fair and falls into the category of bar food. It's a place to drink and use the food to make sure you do not get too drunk.

Excellent

By Jean W |

I lived in Ireland for 5 years, so I enjoy going to Irish Pubs occasionally. Food was great! Fish and chips were authentic, they even have Irish brands of condiments on the table. Good beer selection.

Great atmosphere, terrible food

By dwalker9679 |

This place is huge, has many tvs, and has an awesome set up. The downside is the food is awful; all seems very processed.

For soccer, rugby and Irish food

By David E |

Great gathering place which attracts an international group for soccer and rugby broadcasts. Food is good, fairly priced and staff are always friendly

GREAT PLACE AND THE BEST FISH & CHIPS

By eguimara |

That was a great finding in the Buckhead area. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, good beer selection and probably one of the best Fish & Chips that I had here in the US. Highly recommended!!

In the evening it is a loud bar.

By Paul52Atlanta |

I've been to Fado for lunch and its an okay place to have a reuben or fish and chips in a nice faux pub atmosphere. At night, its a bar. We tried dinner at 6:30 and the music was so loud the waitress had to go cheek to cheek to every diner to get the orders. When the soccer came on the televisions, the sound actually got louder. I would say that the jalapeno cheese puff appetizer is very good and my friend really liked her burger.

Terrific food and staff

By SimonSaint |

Went here while on holiday and was looking for somewhere other than the usual burger joint. As we walked in I quickly realised that the England v Australia and Holland v Ireland games were on big screen TVs. Perfect! The staff were all great, chatty and efficient. We both had Fish and Chips, my wife had a small version and I of course had the large, which meant I had two large pieces of fish! I wasn't that keen on going into a pub but this was excellent and I recommend to all.

First time...

By Kelly W |

So we had just arrived in the area the shuttle driver recommended Fado's....we were really surprised...great food, a little loud but it was also during the world cup lots of fun.

Good food and drinks

By Victoria A |

Great curry fries, lamb, fresh salad, and mixed drinks. Restaurant has multiple levels. We were out on the rooftop and there was cigarette smoking at the bar, didn't know that was still legal in some places (it's not where I'm from in the US).

Worth a stop.

By SingingOTune |

My first thought when I walked in was that they dropped a mint on the decor in this place. They did a very nice job that closely approached kitschy. The place was empty when we got there on a Monday night. Server was very friendly, and tried to help with beer selections. The free samples helped. Settled on Dragon's Milk....mmmmm. The beer was a little steep in my opinion, but you have to pay for the authentic theming somehow! Food. Great happy hour app special. Had some pork belly tacos and topped chips. Had lunch portion of fish and chips which was VERY good. My buddy had Chicken Boxty Quesadilla which was also very good! Verdict: Repeatable offense. Beers were steep, food good, service very friendly.

Bar crawl

By cabboiar |

The bar tenders were rude. They were last on the list of the bar crawl and their specials were over. So we ordered 6 shots that the bill for 6 shots was $72

Ok spot, extremely warm indoors beer ok

By Gerald B |

Ok spot, extremely warm indoors beer ok, literally no air circulation indoors, during the summer thats no bueno

Great Place for Game Day & a Pint...

By Luvzog |

I came in for the football game but stayed for some amazing drinks and really good food. Highly recommend their name sake Burger “Fadó Pub Burger”, which comes with a fried egg, smoked cheddar cheese, amazing whiskey bacon marmalade and the perfectly soft pretzel bun. Also if you do not order the “Smoked Salmon Bites on Blini” you are missing out on the best bites you will have this month – guaranteed. Decent selection of whiskeys as expected and the “Irishman Lost in Russia” is creamy goodness that goes down to easy. Friendly staff and the owner keeps a mindful eye on everything…

Best date night I ever had in Buckhead

By Review E |

One of best experience I had late night in buckhead. Don’t get me wrong it’s so much to do but this place is already not talked about but a lot of famous people do go here & sponsor their restaurant brand. When I visited their website their ratings was kinda off so I wanted to take my own experience and it was worth it.

Pure awesome!

By Ernie and Dora H |

While attending a Fire Chief’s conference in Atlanta we visited Fado Irish Pub and Restaurant located in the Buckhead neighborhood. In Ireland, Fado means “long ago” and starts a story like “once upon a time.” We sat in the roof top outdoor dining area, covered, and a great place to enjoy an evening meal. I chose the Shepherd’s Pie which is made using grass fed beef, diced vegetables in a rich beef sauce topped with colcannon (a traditional Irish dish consisting of mashed potatoes with kale or cabbage) and served with a Farmhouse salad and Guinness/Cheddar bread. Now I have had Shepherd’s Pie at a number of Irish Pubs but this was one of the tastiest. The deep favors of the beef, crunchiness of the vegetables and creaminess of the beef sauce put this dish over the top. For me, the Guinness & cheddar bread was a bit too dense and dry. Dora here. According to our server, Fado operates their own fish boat off Iceland, and the cod for their Fish and Chips comes from that ship. Cool! And since the Fish and Chips were BOGO, how could I resist? Oh my stars! The fish was flaky and snow white, and wow! What flavor, with no fishy taste, which I despise. Pure awesome! We rate this restaurant 5 forks out of 5 for a family friendly restaurant serving outstanding food. ~Ernie & Dora Hiers

Irish bar I think not

By NiamhJulia89 |

As an Irish women this bar is in no way Irish another fake Irish bar/restaurant in the Atlanta area. They have four Irish dishes on the menu with farmed fish as starters I am not ok with that. The cod was apparently not farmed but I am suspicious about it. It tasted good the food is reasonable ok pricing but be jaysus the drinks are expensive $10 for a gin and tonic is a bit steep like who do you think you are. We had a very poor server and were told by the host it was his first night going it alone but why should that be my problem? The server chandler and the manager John were great but I don’t see why when I am paying the price I am that I should accommodate an under performing waiter. I won’t return due to the pricing and that this is not an Irish bar you can take that to the grave as again I am an Irish women I call it as I see it

finally a place to get decent beer

By seance |

we visit breweries in most every city we visit and most times we are disappointed because a lot of local beers are not to our liking. We found the same to be true in Atlanta. While walking around in midtown, we stumbled across this place and were thrilled to see some of our favorite Belgian beers on tap! They have a pretty small outdoor area (2-3 tables) and the group next to us was pretty loud so we didn't stay long. I would definitely go back next time we come through Atlanta!

Interesting

By NFN2014 |

Waking passed and saw the balcony. Went in and found the inside a standard interior and a bit formulaic. However when we went to the balcony all changed. Good atmosphere and with a good selection of ales a pleasant couple of hours was passed away.

New Year's Eve Celebration!

By 678karlaw |

Spent the end of 2017 and rang in 2018 at Fado's! Great time. Music was great and the staff was crazy busy but smiled the entire evening. Miles was a hoot!

Great Atmosphere!

By Caliigrlx3 |

This was a great experience. The drinks were great and not over priced. I had ordered a burger with a side salad and when it came out it had nuts. I told the server I had an allergy and they took it back immediately and got me a new salad without hesitation. The burger was one of the best I have had in a long time, great flavor and actually cooked to medium rare (most restaurants I feel over cook them). The salad was great as well, great flavor! Will definitely be back!

Fun, fun, fun.

By Winter20007 |

Seems like there is a lot of activities always going on here. Large and lots of seating and tv screens for footbul loyalists. Food was great, loved our bartenders. Always making sure we were being taken care. Awesome service!!!!

Nice area, outdoor seating

By jlshopper |

Probably 3.5. Nice area. Very bro when we arrived. Nice outdoor seating. Food average. Vibe pretty good but rooftop probably needed something more just not sure what. Music pretty ok. Nice evening

Hidden away!

By gingerc5489 |

We tried, but couldn't find this Pub. We were anxious to try it on St. Patrick's Day while in Atlanta. Sorry we missed it. We'll try again.

Wow what can I say!

By TravelQueen111417 |

This is a hidden gem in my opinion. I love this place and visit every time I am in Atlanta, it is the closest I’ve seen Americans get to British and I was super impressed (as a Brit myself). Great customer service. Only thing I would say is to clarify which forms of ID they accept. I usually only ever take my UK drivers license and they have always served me but last time they said they couldn’t accept it as it wasn’t a passport, or US license. So maybe make sure all staff know which you accept! :) can’t wait to come back.

Great atmosphere, truly OUTSTANDING service!

By JW266 |

If you have never been to an irish pub, or even more importantly if you have, you will love this place! Cory was our waitress. She is a phenomenal waitress! She had great personality, a fabulous smile, was efficient and attentive but never too attentive. She was always there at the right time to refill a drink or to check on us. She made this dining experience truly phenomenal. She is to be commended for her efforts and for making everyone feel welcome and that they were her personal guest. The menu ranges from traditional Irish food to normal bar food. I had the fish and chips and it was incredible. If you have never tried real fish and chips, this is definitely something to try. I recommend the Guinness barbecue sauce. Apparently they make it there themselves. Probably some of the best BBQ sauce I have ever tried. The tables are set for enough apart that you're not on top of anyone. The atmosphere is fabulous. Parking is not terribly difficult. They have valet parking there or you can park in the parking deck around the corner. The staff works as a team. Your waitress would take your order however, someone else may bring it to you in order to make sure you don't wait on your food. Service was exceptionally quick and efficient. The prices are very reasonable and it was a great way to spend an evening. I highly recommend this pub for any of that you may choose to want a casual place to hang out out. I will go there again!

Hearing Protection and Table Reservations

By Zachery D |

My girlfriend and I tried this place out after we checked into our hotel. This pub has a rooftop bar, which apparently is one of the hippest joint in Buckhead. I must say that it was pretty neat up there, but you will want to reserve a table in advance if you want to sit down somewhere other than the bar. Some individual named "Katie" had a table reserved for quite a long time much to the chagrin of the bar patrons. I do recommend that if you are inside the upstairs bar that you might want to consider bringing hearing protection. The sound of the Sunday Funday crowd was quite noisy. Especially with this one drunk women who had sort of a cackling shrieking laughter. I could only imagine what would happen had The Mountain from Game of Thrones was within earshot of her. It was annoying. Anyways, the food was pretty good and they have a wide selection of booze in stock as long as you get there early enough. I have said my piece here so it's your turn to decide. Boom!

Best shepherds pie since Dublin

By Kathleen R |

This is the best shepherds pie I’ve had since Dublin. I can’t say enough good things about this pub. Eat here and discover them for yourself.

Irish pub on a large scale

By Keith P |

First time here on a busy Saturday night. Was a bit packed but has a really cool atmosphere and decent beer selection. Took awhile to get drinks but that's expected for a packed Saturday night . Great place to watch the big game. Has a rooftop but was closed for private party when we visited.

A bit of Ireland

By BermudaGolfer72 |

This was an authentic Irish Pub. Had all my favorite beers and whiskeys along with a good pub food menu Great for sports watching as well as there were tv’s in every direction

Nice lively Irish Pub

By Alexander K |

very nice place to have beers and a good choice of finger food - very good burgers (at least for an European such as me). We have been there with about 14 people - big fun, you can play darts...

Great Beer Selection

By Nicholas M |

Fantastic selection of draft and bottled beers. Bartender could have been more attentive. One beer I ordered was out, and he gave me a variety of the brand without asking if that was ok. But the best beers I've seen in a while. I had the fish and chips for dinner and it was great. Served very hot and crispy. Portion was very large. Great atmosphere and decor - everything about the place says Irish pub.

Music and Sports venue

By Steve W |

This is my local go to place for music and sports, particularly European sports. In addition, they have a great menu and serve Irish breakfast all day.

Good Fish & Chips

By shannijones |

It's been a long while since I last visited Fado. I used to be a regular before they tore down the stand alone buckhead location. The new modern buildings are not as much fun as the old nor do they have the character. The food was still great. Chips and Marie Rose sauce = YUM. VERY LOUD on a Saturday during a soccer game. Not for the faint of heart or those who want to have a conversation :)

Great Hospitality - good food!

By thomassH2929UA |

Our group goes to Fado every month to watch Formula One races. they open at 7:30 for us, have hot coffee, and friendly with a smile service. Last week when they had European football and rugby and had 5x the people they were just as friendly and attentive. WELL DONE. food is awesome breakfast food... again well done.

Good place for beer and food when in Atlanta

By daragh h |

This pub is well fitted out with a large selection of beers and good food choices. Well worth a visit.

Super bowl rudeness.

By Salvincent |

Went solo for pre super bowl party. Have back problems use a walker. Manager wouldn’t allow a chair anywhere near bar. In fact moved chair away (when I went to bathroom knowing I was sitting in it!!)Zero alternative provided, but moreover she was curt , rude and had zero empathy or customer appreciation, zero concern for disability either. She needs to polish up her communication skills to work in the hospitality industry. Some people are fixated on “rules” and can’t see the forest from the trees. Managers should. Kayla at bar friendly and very nice. Salmon bites tasty. Good Guinness pour.

Fish and Chips!!

By IAteItAll |

The fish and chips are about as good as it gets anywhere! We were out shopping and had lunch at Fado. The decor is traditional Irish Pub decor. I don't know how much of it is real or reproduction, but the atmosphere inside was nice. We did find it a bit too loud with the TVs blasting sports at the customers, so we opted to dine in the rooftop seating area. It was a little chilly in the rooftop area, but the heaters helped. I would absolutely visit again, if just for the fish and chips. They are that good. My date had a salad that was also delicious. But, she couldn't stay out of my fish and chips.

Great Irish pub in Buckhead

By John F |

On our 5-day Irish pub tour, we stopped in Buckhead at Fado's Irish pub for lunch. First off, let me say, this is one of the most beautiful Irish pubs we have seen. We took our seats at the bar. Our bartender, Russell soon came over and we ordered our usual Irish beer, Smithwicks, and Harp. They were very cold and most refreshing on a hot summer day. We shared the fish tacos with chips (fries). It was delicious. We chatted with Russell, btw, he was from England and he was very friendly, and attentive. It was a great experience. We will definitely return.

By far the best drinking place in Buckhead - good food too.

By SeriousAboutExcellencw |

So this place is a true neighborhood pub. Awesome beer selection. Crowded is the norm. Rarely rowdy. Food is a pleasant surprise. Not just boring bar food. So go for dinner but leave time for drinks. Surprisingly, you can bring kids - we do regularly. The roof top is really cool.

Monday night unexpected visit

By Lesmor8 |

I unexpectedly stopped here on an Monday night waiting on a friend to arrive from Mississippi. Unfortunately my friend was running late so I ate without him. I sat at the bar and it was busy for a Monday night football night but not overly so. Service was quick and friendly. The fish and chips were da bomb! I’m usually not a huge fan of fish and chips but this was good! Really good! And I ate the tartar sauce which I don’t usually do either. I was very pleasantly surprised! Give it a try!

Good Spot to Watch

By johnsinead |

Good crowd, and plenty of seating, nice sized bar and second floor as well. Plenty of TV's to view the games. We found the food and serivce to be average. The price for a pint of Guinness in a plastic cup was high at $10 a pint.

Great Irish Pub

By Dolphinheadkw |

Food is awesome, servers are friendly and hospitable. Lots of TV's, great place for sports watching. Happy hours, outside patio, valet.Chicken Boxty's are the bomb

Nice Irish Pub

By AlanByrne |

We had lunch here with our daughter and my wife and daughter each ordered a Corned Beef sandwich which they were quite pleased with and my Shrimp Tacos were excellent. And naturally they had a very nice selection of beer on tap. We found the service by Jack was very good and we did not find the pub noisy.

Office party

By Maggotyler |

This restaurant is a typical Irish pub, like I used to see in Europe. However, the food is not properly Irish, but it's not bad. Service is quite fast, although sometimes they forget to bring some drinks. It was a busy day, I just admit it. The place is quite big, so perfect for a group meeting

Awesome Irish Pub

By George818 |

Second time I've come to this pub. Great place to drink (and smoke my cigar upstairs in the patio area). Watched the Cubs win their first World Series since 1908. Good times! Great vibe and place to hang out

Night Out

By BillyandJulie G |

What a great place to relax and have a pint or two. The food was top notch with a twist of oh yeah! The prices were average but hey it an Irish Pub!

Great Food with Great Service

By Atlanta-Folks |

We ate here on a Saturday night and chose to sit at the bar. That turned out to be our first good decision of many. Our server Julia was outstanding. She was very patient with our indecisiveness (this was our first visit) and she gave some great recommendations once we narrowed down our choices. We started with the fries covered in Harp flavored cheese-very good! I love the choice of skinny fries or wedges. We also had the blue cheese and pear salad, reuban, and Fado pub burger (at Julia’s recommendation). Everything was good, but I highly recommend the burger! We ended the evening with a bread pudding. It too was delicious! Overall a great experience.

Fun for sports but not food

By MLR926 |

Not good. Spent $14 on a pretzel!! My fish was pretty crappy. Spent almost $100 (for 3 people) on a bad meal. Go for beer and sports…but not dinner.

Fantastic FOOD

By emmitaz |

Fado was amazing! The food and the ale were the best and it felt like you were in Ireland! slawn-cha CHEERS they say in Ireland. We were with close friends and they were so pleased with the service and beer. All appetizers were so delicious and fast to serve. The fish and chips were so tasty not just the fried breaded outside, the alaskan cod was so tasty with the good ole ALE! A Must if you are in the City of Atlanta.

World Cup after voting

By Ben M |

This place is next door to the buckhead library and a great place to relax after voting. Fun World Cup crowd. Didn’t get the bartenders name but tall redhead and he rocks. So friendly and knowledgeable

Great neighborhood pub

By 518ATLCouple |

It is a great pub, but be ready for lots of noise! The music and TVs are pretty loud. We had to shout to hear each other. Fun place for a party! The fish and chips are outstanding!

Bustling and fun

By GeorgiaBill |

Huge beer selection by the pint (of course), large menu, typical and atypical pub food. We split the reuben and fish and chips (what an Irish pub cliche!!!!), and they were good. They serve fries two ways, with a variety of dipping sauces. Great atmosphere with lots of nooks and crannies to settle into to take away the feeling of being in a large building. Our service was ok, but we were coveting the fellow serving the tables next to us…he was very energized and made lots of suggestions…ours just took our order. But all's good.

Best Irish Pub. Period.

By youngman44 |

We have been going to Fado’s since we discovered it about 2005. Their Fish n Chips is second to none (and I’ve had them in England and other Irish pubs in Europe). Of course, you need to order a Guinness with them. The only way to go. I know many who don’t like Guinness. But usually that’s because it is poured so poorly. Few people know how to pour a Guinness properly. Not the case at Fado’s. Their pour is fantastic with a great creamy head. Service has always been exceptional. And the decor is as good as it gets for a pub. You can’t beat the atmosphere of the bar, furniture, and walls. We don’t live in Atlanta, but if we did it we would be regulars. As it is, every time we drive thru Atlanta we feel compelled to stop for dinner or lunch. Stop there. You won’t be disappointed.

In town for basketball game

By kp7236 |

Had some friends recommend Fado Pub after a basketball game. Several of the parents went. Loved that it is on Open Table. They had us a large table reserved and that was waiting on our arrival. Like the valet parking. Love the location. Great food options. Love the old pub feel.

Authentic English Breakfast

By littlerocky5 |

Friendly efficient service, and solid execution of all day breakfast and fish &chips. Obviously popular with ex pats watching soccer on multiple screens

Rooftop Deck, Guinness & the Pub Burger

By coachbunch |

First time visit after living in Atlanta for over 30 years. We went for lunch on a Sunday. Downstairs was LOUD and quintessential Irish Pub. Thankfully the rooftop deck was open - moderate breeze, light crowd and football on TV. We had the Pub Burger and it was very good. I know, not very adventurous but the combo of the pretzel bun and the whiskey bacon marmalade worked! I would go back to try the fish and chips or the Reuben sometime. Also had to have a Guinness to wash it down :-)

Irish Food in Buckhead

By Ck_Nest |

This is one of my favorite stopovers in Atlanta. It was the day after St Patrick’s Day so the crew looked tired. The food was great. We had a shepherds pie and a chicken wrap. Desert was bread pudding topped with ice cream. I’d recommend this for couples or a group of friends.

Great!!!

By Nancy L |

Had the Irish Breakfast and is was awesome! Business associates tried many menu items. Really nice pub! Good Guinness pour!

The Best Reuben My Wife Ever Had!

By Robb O |

My wife and I ate at Fado's recently for lunch. The pub is very clean, feels authentic and has approximately 1,000 TV's! It was a Saturday and we were able our beloved Florida Gators play (even in Georgia). I had the Lamb French Dip and it was good, not great, but good. If we visit again, I will not order it again, not because it wasn't good, but because there are many other options on the menu that are appealing. My wife had the Reuben and she said it was the best Reuben she has ever enjoyed! The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was great. If you are in the Altanta area go to Fado's and try the Reuben!

food is good

By Neli T |

Did not like the atmosphere but the food was good.Used it for a business lunch meeting because was not crowded.

If you like English food and soccer this is the place!

By Lymee-eater |

Home of the Man United Atlanta fan club my visits here have always been a blast. Gorgeous bar, great staff and great food! Free parking is another bonus! If you want a touch of British class you simply can't go wrong.

Very Loud and Crowded

By Chris W |

My wife and I stopped in around 8:00pm on a Thursday night and it was super crowded and loud. We were visiting from out of town and were expecting a laid back quiet evening. About 90% of the crowd were in business dress with jackets and ties. If there were less people in there I’m sure we would have had a good time. I can’t speak to the food because we didn’t stay to order any. Not our scene and not our crowd. Cool place but a strike out for us.

Brilliant Soccer atmosphere

By Nick J |

I am a Manchester United fan and loved this place.English/Irish food my favourite beers and the service was excellent even though it was packed.Great atmosphere one of the best places I frequent.

Best pho ever!

By Cliff H |

This French Vietnamese spot at the Prado on Roswell Rd in Sandy Springs just opened recently. Colonial Kitchen has outstanding spring rolls and the Pho was the best. It had so many layers of flavors. Me and my partner had the beef Pho, but I’m sure the others were just as good. We will be back. They are however waiting for their pouring license, so be aware of that.

Irish in name only

By CommissionerGordon |

This is just another bar wanting to cash in on the Irish business. The gaudy interior was obviously designed by someone that has never set foot in a real Irish Pub. The menu lacks much Irish influence so you could be anywhere but Ireland. The food was tasty but embarrassingly small portions and you will have t go out to eat after leaving here. Two in our party ordered the Shepherds Pie dinner which was SMALLER than an appetizer size and ridiculously expensive, think a six in pan with about 3/4 " of filling. If we were not with guests we would have walked out. Drinks were overpriced, small and FULL of ice, since when does an Irish Pub load drinks with ice, that is an American thing. Overall I strongly suggest that you hit the gas and drive right past this ripoff.

The server at the bar, said he was from Heathrow airport area, was very gruff, and cod?

By Jbuff2014 |

My husband and I upon entering for lunch yesterday, with 8 people in restaurant , we could not get the attention of anyone to wait on us. We sat at the bar hoping someone would wait on us. The three wait people we saw kept ignoring us for 15 minutes. Finally this very gruff bartender, waited on us. Extremely rude. Like we were a bother. I asked him if the fish was cod , as the menu said. He said yes, then brought me fried catfish. I was raised in the South, I know what catfish is! The only time he ever said a kind word to us was when he brought me the check?

Delicious, and Fun(without leaving the country)

By Hoochiesmama |

Ahhhh, yes. Irish food. Good with taste, atmosphere and service. Lizzie our wait staff is great. Extremely attentive....drinks were always full, suggestions and recommendations were offered......and her sense of humour (after driving 9.5 hrs to get there) was appreciated. Fun menu with lamb hoagies, fish and chips, shepards pie, kale and barley salad, to brunch on the weekends. The chips taste delicious, and the (french fry) skillet chips are fattening and amazing. The Irish toastie was delicious, very flavourful. There are so many things to choose from . Great pub atmosphere.....if you like to watch sports....this is a good place to come. All in all, service was very good....fun atmosphere...excellent, flavourful food. We would definitely come back for more. There is valet parking(since you are downtown Buckhead)

Great Atmosphere and Food

By JMD1951 |

Stopped in Sunday evening before a show at Buckhead Theatre. Was not crowded and were served quickly. Service was very prompt , food was very good. My pulled lamb sandwich au jus was great . Typical beer selection. Altogether a good experience, worth repeating . Easy to get to .

Great Pub

By Paul A |

I have to say this was one of the best fish and chips I have had this side of the pond. The fish was firm and flavorful and the batter divine. The Guinness was well kept and slipped down far too easily.

Geprgia Tech friends

By Ed D |

Had a small gathering after the Atlanta Dream game. They were ready for us with great service, drinks, and food. It was a great place to meet and have room to see and talk with everyone. Great place.

Great place!

By James_LFC_Harrison |

I love Fado. Its a Buckhead classic! When Buckhead when through its lull and redevelopment, Fado was always there. You cant go wrong with a few pints with Russell at the main bar. The food is also surprisingly good for a pub, ans they always have some good bar food specials if you just want a quick bite with a few beers, early doors.

Great restaurant!

By LeighSN893 |

I went to this pub for a meet-up with an author. Food and appetizers were amazing! Drinks were really good. The staff was friendly and environment was amazing! Will definitely be coming back to this restaurant again when in Atlanta!

Cozy, welcoming place for food and drink!

By guidebooktraveler |

Visiting in Atlanta and we intentionally went to Fados for an early dinner after we finished sightseeing. Unexpected arrival during happy hour was fantastic with food and drink specials. Irish beer is always delicious, especially in a cozy and happy pub. The Irish mule was delicious and there was an option for a bottomless mule for folks with more time! The fish tacos were amazing, and had a good kick of seasoning to them. Thank you to Jamari for being a speedy and very engaging server. TVs are positioned well to see sports which was important to us to see the bowl games. Don't pass Fados up, and look for Jamari!

Buckhead hottest pub

We watched the Arsenal game this weekend (won 3-0) and the 50+ gooners in the pub created an awesome atmosphere. Tips? Arrive 30 min before a game a grab a table - it gets busy Valet park - it's only $5 and you'll get a ticket if you street park around here Eat - the pub food is great!

Great hangout

By George818 |

Been here several times. Great place to have a drink, watch sporting event on tv, or head upstairs to outdoor area and have a cigar! Just love it here. Crowded at times but who wants to go to a dead bar? Enjoyed it

Prefer for having a good beer, but the food...not so much.

By Jeff T |

I guess you have to like Irish food to get the full effect. They do have a great cache of beers and usually you will find a large crowd there on most evenings.

St Patrick's Day Party fun!

By Juliede |

We attended the St Patrick's Day party and had a blast. The live music was great. There was a band inside and outside. They had plenty of port-a-jons, beer stations to purchase drinks from and even had water stations. They had a food truck in addition to buying food inside. There was a good mix of people. We were there in the afternoon until early evening. It started getting very crowded around 6pm. It was our first time there and we will go to this party again.

Cool place, great service and good food!

By Amber S |

We ended up looking for places near the Buckhead Theatre to have dinner and drinks before a show and found this place. The environment is cool....we went during early dinnertime and on Thursday, so it wasn't particularly busy. We shared an appetizer, both had a few beers and both ate main courses. I had the fish tacos, which were great. And since we were in an Irish pub, we finished our meal with a shot of Jameson. :) Good service, reasonable prices and good food.

Interesting happy hour menu

By joiedevivre7 |

My friend suggested this place for a long lost catch up. I especially liked the fish tacos from the happy hour menu although they weren't very Irish. The beer choices for happy hour is however limited. Would be great if there are more choices. Despite that, the waitress recommended the local Sam Adams Nitro beer which was pretty good. It's a cosy environment for catch up with friends. There is however no directions on where to park, apart from the valet services.

Night Out at Fados

By CO |

We do enjoy going to Fados. The location ia great. Bartenders are mediocre at best. Always grumpy like they hare their job. They seem annoyed having to get you a drink. Most have been there awhile. Fados would do well to get some new ones.

Holiday Weekend with Friends

By Luckycharme |

Did 4th of July weekend with friends and of course had to stop in to the Irish Pub. Always a great time!

Fun atmosphere, good service, hearty food

By Vanessa G |

Definitely try a pint of Guinness, their chicken pot pie and youll be stuffed and happy. They usually have soccer games, rugby games, and other sporting events on, which is fun. We went around St. Patrick's day and they had a block party around the corner (back patio) and it was packed.

Love Fados!

By Paul L |

A great Irish pub walking distance from our hotel. Several traditional Irish meals can be ordered I had the Irish breakfast twice! Complete with white and black sausage. The drinks are great and the ambiance can't be beat. After about four visits, they brought in a small band playing Irish music and doing a very cool Irish dance. I will be back next year.

A true Irish Pub

By Joel C |

Ok I had the largest Guiness I have had in my life and could not finish it lol I guess I don't make the cut to be Irish :D This place has great food and great staff. I like the laid back and chill vibe of this place and will surely visit again.

Decent Location Terrible Food

By Randall O |

We visited this location on a Friday night for a bite to eat and some sports. There were no TV's on because they were having some loud couple's trivia contest. That would have been OK if the food had been at least edible. The french fries and chicken tenders were straight of of a freezer bag and into the deep fryer. The tenders were mostly semi-raw batter with barely a trace of chicken and no seasoning at all. The cheese dip was bitter and tasteless; the boxty wedges were greasy and burnt. I have no idea how anyone could call this the best Irish pub in Atlanta or anywhere else. You would expect that a place with $7.00 valet parking would at least have fresh food. Perhaps they were trying to copy the English, but real Irish food is far better than this. The only good thing about the place was the bartender; she was very professional and friendly.

Fun!

By SH2515 |

We went to Fado for a beer after dinner. It had live music, and great beer. The crowd was fun and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A fun watering hole in Buckhead that I would definitely try again.

Very Popular Irish Pub with Good Food and Service!!!

By Jim J |

Valet parking is available; however, weekends after 5:00pm is priced premium at $10.00 for 2 hours not including tip. Learned they validate parking for a deck a block away at a reasonable rate. Greeted promptly at the hostess desk. Our server was Christell and she was very good! We started with the Pear Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing; very good. For main course we had the Fish and Chips; also very good. The beer is COLD! For the dessert the Bread Pudding is a killer. Served hot with cream on top.

Do you hear me now?

By Russ K |

Stopped by Fado on a Saturday night for after dinner drinks. Well the drinks were fine. Good wine selection and I liked the value of the house pour which adds 3 ounces for $3. But they had a band. And unless you want a first row concert experience, don't bother with this place. The band was so loud that no one could handle a conversation even if sitting next to each other. So if you want a concert and booze, this is the place on Saturday night. But don't think you will communicate with anyone.

Sports Sunday

By ladytez |

Nice, lively atmosphere on a Sunday morning! TVs are a bit loud, but there's a nice sized crowd and enjoyable atmosphere. It is nothing like any pub I've visited in Ireland, but it's a really nice American Irish pub. Great craic, and the staff is very nice. Really good food - much better than you would expect at a bar. Try the Spinach Omelette for brunch - yum!!

Great food!

By peterp404 |

We ordered the "Fish and Chips Cup," Shepherd's Pie, and Steak Boxtie. All were excellent. The wait staff were attentive and our food came promptly. It is right on Peachtree in midtown Atlanta, with a good parking deck behind it. It is may an eight-minute walk north from the Fox theater. We'll definitely go again.

Great place to watch soccer (football)

By The_Midtowner |

The go-to place for viewing soccer and rugby matches - you'll be in good company as you cheer on your favorite team! The attentive bar staff will keep your glasses full!

Dine up on patio at Fado

By Elise_NC |

Okay, perfect spot to meet during the World Cup, or really at any time. We went at night when no US matches were on and it was easy to get a table for 10 of us or so. Great patio. We had a ton of appetizers, so I can't really call anything out. I could drink cider, which makes me happy. Some of the drinks were down in main bar, so waitress wouldn't always offer to get those, she would suggest alternatives. Parking is a few blocks away. I loved the patio though...and TVs for soccer.

Soccer Crazy

By Joe N |

Thought we were searching for a typical Irish Pub. Wrong!! 3 floors of craziness. We had a terrific time.Suggest going when Atlanta soccer team is playing

Amazing

By Fxb81 |

If you are looking for an Irish pub in Atlanta, this is the place to go. The food is amazing (fish and chips) and the Guinness of course is perfect. Great ambiance and the interior is beautiful. The live band is not too loud where you can still have a conversation. My favorite go to restaurant now in Buckhead.

Fun Pub, TV's, live music, Pub Grub style menu

By Delphine J |

Best Cheeseburger I've had in a long time! Irish Breakfast is served all day, typical British/Irish foods - shepherds pie, Irish sausages! Great place to watch the soccer matches. Good selection of beers.

Hurricane Harvey Fundraiser

By Diane K |

Great local restaurant and food was delicious. Try the wing platter you’ll be glad you did. This place is an upscale pub, with plenty of space for entertainment and the bands who played were rocking it. Love the aged dark bar atmosphere. There is also plenty of outdoor seating with nice tables and scenery in good weather. Service is good, with attentive staff. A good place to unwind. There is plenty of parking in a garage nearby. A definite good place in Annapolis,Md., and the owners support the community.

Fantastic food, great service got our Irish on

By KristinF1966 |

This was an amazing little gem of a place. It is tucked back into a more residential area off of the main roads. It is the typical Irish pub atmosphere and the late night we were there they had basketball playoff games on the tv very loud! This is definitely NOT your typical pub food. My husband got the quintessential Shephard's Pie and I had Fish and Chips. The salad was super fresh with this awesome beet relish topping and the Shephard's pie was the best that I have ever tasted. It is an amazing menu and I wish that I would have tried something less conventional. We were eating a late dinner and it wasn't that crowded but could imagine that on a Friday or Saturday night with food this good that it would be crazy busy. I definitely would recommend this place and to more adventurous with the menu than I was...I am sure it won't disappoint,

Fun Sunday Morning

By laniergoes |

Brunch/Lunch with friends on a Sunday morning during Soccer games. It is loud but that's to be expected. Very friendly staff from the host to our server. Excellent Bloody Mary's. Mini hamburgers and hummus appetizers, Fish and Chips and Reubens and cheeseburger entrees. Large portions, well cooked. Would definitely return here.

Amazing!!

By James M |

The food and service was amazing our waiter Nick was attentive and very personable!! The cheese fries were perfect along with the fish and chips!! Plenty to choose from in a very comfortable atmosphere. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu and wouldn’t hesitate to come back!!

Too Dark Too Loud Sucky Service

By dimojam |

Okay, so, yeah, we're 'boomers, but even the gen-xers at the table next to us were using their phone flashlights to read the menu. Although we were seated in a secluded corner, our party of six couldn't hear one another diagonally across the table without cupping our ears...and no, we're not old enough to need hearing aids. One of the allures of this restaurant chain is its whiskey menu, and it should be reasonable to presume that the waitstaff would be knowledgeable with regard to it. One of our party asked our waitress for alternatives to Jameson's Irish Whiskey, explaining that she wanted to "branch out." The waitress replied, "um, well, we have Macallan's" (which is Scotch, not Irish, whiskey). When we ordered dinner, I asked whether blue cheese could be substituted for cheddar on the lamb french dip, since the menu offers lamb sliders with blue cheese. She replied, "I don't know; I've never been asked that before." Finally, when she brought the check, we each put up a credit card and asked her to simply divide the check by six...she rolled her eyes and sighed. Decent food, but not worth the discomfort lighting, hearing, or service-wise.

Fun fun fun

By Yael m |

Good food! Each of us (4) had something different and we all loved what we got. To top it all off at 8 they started a bingo game. It was lots of fun and my teenagers really got into it.

Don't go ALONE!

By Beverly W |

Bar service is terrible, I tip nothing less than 20%, I thought I was cute, guess I needed an entourage! !!!... A lovely atmosphere with good looking men at the end of the day....but seriously the service is terrible at the BAR!

Ceapaire Iontach

By Billy M |

In town on business and have never eaten here before. Jumped right in for a great corned beef sandwich and some soup. Blonde Guinness wasn't bad either.

Great for soccer

By KristieT77 |

Pretty good food but GREAT atmosphere if you're a soccer fan! Make sure that you come early for the game you want to see because you are almost guaranteed a wait. Once you're in though, you'll realize it was worth it!

Not again

By Kevin W |

Came here on a Saturday night in the summer with the wife for drinks later one evening. Sat upstairs on the patio area but it was pretty full. We grabbed an empty table and watched many servers walk right by us and never greeted or stopped to take our order. After about 15 minutes I went up to the bar and got drinks for us. The server never came to check on us or even acknowledge us the hour we were there. We finally moved into the bar area when it cleared out some. We thought this would be a fun happening place to go but a big crowd and totally inattentive service made this not fun for us. We will not be back.

Disappointing time

By Crodemoyer |

My husband and I have been coming to Fado and introducing friends to this great Irish Pub several years and tonight was just an off night. We had a visitor in state from PA and we offered to take her Fado for dinner. The bar was busy with Gator fans as we arrived in the 4th quarter of the Gator game. We sat at the bar for a little bit and when the bartender stopped by, she didn't offer so much as a hello or smile. Really didn't speak, I had to just place our order. Weird. Then we get our table and it took another 15 min for me to get a drink as our waitress disappeared. At the end of the meal, we had settled our tab and were still enjoying conversation. Next we know, the hostess comes over to inform us they had a reservation for our table and the party was there. She did welcome us to their bar, but honestly at that point, we were done. The food was delicious as always. The waitress was friendly, when she came around. Like I said, off night, but it definitely will cause pause for us when we think about taking friends out.

Amazing food, cool interior and fun rooftop!

By Amber A |

We had the fish'n chips, lamb sliders and the Irish egg roll 😊 The interior is fascinatingly all imported from Ireland , service is good. Food quality is top and all made in house. Rooftop has a lovely vibe...

Perfect Night Out!

By gary s |

The place is in the heart of Buckhead. Parking can be difficult. We were lucky and got a space right in front of the place. Food was excellent and the half and halfs were the same. Great staff. We had the mini burgers and the Ruben both perfect. Wil go back again while in Atlanta.

Great Atmosphere

By bjwill62 |

Terrific buzz, super food particularly the salmon bites, fish and chips and shepards pie, great to find a such a good Irish bar in Atlanta.

Kind of Loudish Pub

By TBHeller |

My first visit was underwhelming for food and the live music on weekends is hit and miss. The second visit I have a very good Reuben sandwich though I was there for an NFL game and despite the seeming interest in the game on so many screens, the pub still played unnecessarily loud music. (I guess all pubs are loud but this certainly indicated their promotion of sport is not first priority)

Lack of Service

By Holly S |

My friends and I were really looking forward to eating here. The menu looked amazing, the atmosphere seemed warm and inviting and they’re an Atlanta United pub sponsor so we thought this would be an amazing place to watch the game this past weekend. The first red flag was when we walked in. There was a sign that said to seat yourself. This wouldn’t had been a big issue if we hadn’t made reservations and had to confirm those reservations earlier that morning. We went upstairs and had a drink before we decided to find a seat to watch the game. We found a table for the four of us near the bar and were greeted by a server. He asked if we were getting food. We said not now but we would probably order something later and we’d order more drinks after we finished the ones we had. About fifteen minutes later, all our glasses empty, no one had come back to our table. The table to the right of us was served promptly, they finished their food, got the check, the table was cleared, and a new couple sat down and was served by a different server then the one that greeted us. Each of us made eye contact with our server. I had my menu open and no drink. I am READY to order and at that point I was hungry, so I was ready to order food as well (my husband and I really wanted to try the chips and sauces). We finally give up and order from the bar. I want to stop here and say this wouldn’t have been a big deal if he hadn’t come up to our table right as we sat down to introduce himself or if he had told us we had to order from the bar. After having to order from the bar we decide to leave after this drink in the middle of the soccer game. While we are drinking a couple sits to the left of us. They are immediately greeted, get their drinks in record time, their food even arrives before we leave all done by the server that greeted us. We were sitting there for at least an hour with no service. I’m not one to make assumptions but I’m hoping this inexcusable bad service, no, lack of service was because of short staffing (which on a Saturday night, during a soccer game, as a pub sponsor is unacceptable) and not the fact that my friends and I were not sporting designer bags or heels but instead were wearing Atlanta United gear and sneakers. I hope that as a pub sponsor, they take my review to heart and try to treat everyone that comes into their establishment to spend money the same. I don’t think we’ll be returning any time soon.

Great beer average food

By littlerocky5 |

Boddingtons Beer & Guinness were the perfect temperature. Irish breakfast was good but fish & chips was 'fishy' and not well seasoned. Atmosphere and decor is pleasant enough.

Perhaps more suited for 20-somethings

By Curb_jumpers |

Fado Irish Pub in Atlanta is part of a chain of Fado pubs located in 14 U.S. cities. As such, it certainly looks the part with lots of dark wood furnishings, Guinness on tap, and Irish art on the walls. On the day we went, Fado was crowded with mostly 20-somethings noisily drinking and semi-watching soccer matches on the multiple TV's spread throughout the pub. Since our interest was primarily on eating good pub food we found the resulting high noise level to be very distracting. Further off-putting our experience was the poor service provided by our waiter. He not only forgot to bring us one of our orders, he then forgot a second time after we reminded him! We also found it quicker to get up and get water & refills than wait for his return to our table. As for the food, my companions said they enjoyed their orders of the All-Day Irish Breakfast, a Fado Reuben, and the Bleu Cheese Lamb Sliders (we cancelled the Shepherd's Pie after it wasn't delivered on the second request). I, on the other hand, was very disappointed in my order of Fish & Chips. I found the fish to be over-battered and soggy (and I also question if it was really cod), and their "chips" tasted like reheated Burger King fries. My "average rating" for Fado was based on the poor food service and the three out of four culinary experience. However, if you are more interested in having an enjoyable time drinking with friends, then Fado Irish Pub looks like a good place to go.

Night cap, then Bloody Mary's

By idzilla |

We visited Fado to have a few drinks and enjoy the warm spring evening. We sat upstairs aside the windows. Our bartender was great and attentive. We ordered a giant pretzel which was excellent. The next morning we returned to Fado for Bloody Mary's and a light brunch of Whiskey Bacon Marmalade spread with bread. Both the Bloody Mary's and the spread were great. Atmosphere is and old world pub feel with vaulted ceilings and plenty of seating.

Great for Watching Sports with Excited Fans

By nathanmedic2003 |

I watched World Cup games here, but it is a great place for NFL, European football, etc. There are a ton of beers on tap, but their cocktails are quite good as well, and the food is definitely multiple notches above bar fare, without being much more in price (and if you do want traditional pub food, they've got that too). No, you may not be able to hear much - it's loud - but isn't that the point of watching games in a bar? I had the fish and chips - they seem to be consistently good (looking at other reviews), but they're not unique: just a (very) large portion and consistently well-cooked with quality ingredients. Enjoy!

Great whiskey and beer selection.

By chretien l. |

Must try the pumpkin spiced wings, The pickle back, and fish and chips. Wonderful waitress and great prices. Will return.

Good food, loud on a Friday night

By Ry A |

I met a friend for dinner after work this past Friday. He's a Brit ex-pat and said the fish and chips were the best he's had this side of the pond. My Shepard's Pie was also good. We sat up front and the noise level measured over 85 dB. It was louder in the back when I walked to the restroom. Not a quiet place on a Friday night. My friend had previously been there on a weeknight and it was a lot quieter.

Birthday

By tpdavis53 |

It was a girls night out for my birthday. We went to Fado’s for appetizers and drinks. The atmosphere was fantastic but the food was even better. We ordered appetizers and we are still talking about how great they were, especially the Salmon bites. It was very busy but the service was great!

Great atmosphere

By SDP40 |

Went for drinks and dinner. Great atmosphere and good food. Its not traditional irish food but very tasty with a nod to ireland in places. Big bar area and quick service. Great spot to hang out. I believe there is a room garden as well which would be lovely in the summer in the city though it was closed for a private event so didn't get to see it.

Beautiful decor but loud

By Vagabond2be |

Fado has an eye catching interior with lots of wood, brass and decorative accessories. You feel like you're walking into a different world - the complete opposite of a dive bar or hole in the wall. They have a wide selection of beer and a surprisingly wide selection of food - not just the Irish and English classics but much more. It's an exciting place to watch the Atlanta soccer team on one of many TV's. But it can be very loud in the main part of the main level. To enjoy most of the excitement and ambience, get a table closer to the back near the kitchen and bathroom doors. If the weather is nice, try the roof top area.

TV's Everywhere!

By Jay B |

This is a great Irish pub located in the heart of "top shelf" shopping in The Shops of Buckhead. We enjoyed some great draft beer (they have a WIDE selection) and excellent service. They have many large screen HD TV's, so you can watch your favorite sporting event from just about anywhere in the pub. Very warm and friendly in the heart of Atlanta/Buckhead!

Nice Pub

By tlfreymuth |

Food was good. Nice wine selection for a pub. Good drinks. Service was great. Live music was nice, although so loud I could barely hear myself think. Right in the heart of Buckhead.

Great bar food

By Tripanticipation3359 |

We had a table of eleven and the service and the food could not have been better. The Guiness was cold. some had fish and chips and others had the Rueben and it was great. Instead of sauerkraut, it had coleslaw...different but delicious. The appetizer potatoes with cheese and jalapeños were addictive. The soccer games were a draw for the other patrons and very exciting with cheers as goals were scored.

Thirsty and Hungry after the Kasuma Art Show

By Bob W |

We were a hungry and thirsty group after spending a couple hours looking at art so the locals in the group led us to Fado's for some irish fair. The hospitality was awesome. Nice warm restaurant. Cozy tables. Excellent waiter. We had a varety of beers and drinks to start. Goat cheese and sliders appetizers were delicious. I had corned beef and cabbage and took half of it home. Excellent quality! My date had the quesadilla (sp?) and it was good. Reuben looked good. Fish and chips also looked good. For four w/appetizers, supper, and drinks we spent $100+. I would go back.

Great Atmosphere.

By J10Seven |

This was my 3rd time here in 3 years and it's the same great place every time. Great food, great beer, and great atmosphere. It was packed solid for a Thursday and we enjoyed it. Quick service with both food and drinks. Not a family place, but great for adults. Large area with multiple floors. The other floors were hired out for groups on this night. Nice Irish place with the Irish atmosphere and friendliness.

Really good

By Naty V |

Food was delicious and staff grateful. We love Irish pubs and that one is really good. We wanna come back.

Great Old Fashion and appetizers!

By Ty A |

Have been here multiple times. They make a great Old Fashion, plenty of custom mixed drinks Their appetizers are goods as well.

Great place to watch some rugby!

By Kiara O |

We found Fado's in our pursuit of a place to watch the Rugby World Cup during football season. We visited twice over the past two weekends to watch the semi-final and final of the world cup. Food was delicious and well priced, the servers were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend Fado's to others looking for some great pub food and a place to watch sport.

Feeling Irish

By mertz530 |

Great location in Buckhead. All the items, wood, materials to create the inside are imported from Ireland. Food has many nods to Irish pubs and culture. Farmhouse salad is very good. Soups, fish and chips, bread, other salads, colcanon, boxty, bangers are very good. Beer selections are great.

Derby

By croakies |

Four of us went to watch the Derby last Saturday. Service was slow, food was C, Pita bread with hummus was gross! Beer was expensive and liquor was a light pour. Smoked salmon bites were delicious! I'd go back for a beer and a game but probably not to eat.

Great food with friends

By ensmad |

My husband and I met some friends at Fado Irish Pub. We all ordered brunch food and it was delicious! My husband and my friends husband even liked the black and white pudding ( also known as blood pudding)! The only thing I would have changed - I would have gone later because we couldn't order a Bloody Mary or a mimosa until noon since it was Sunday. The wait staff was very cordial.

Saturday afternoon

By Barneyq101 |

We watched rugby and football/soccer from Europe. Great atmosphere. We had Usa college football on in another part of the bar. Simple pub food and good beer. Next Saturday again I think!!!

Great happy hour

Great place for watching sports

6 Nations Rugby - large crowd, fun environment. Food was good - Irish Breakfast was good. Definitely a great place to enjoy sports

Such a nice atmosphere

By Izzat89 |

I went to Fado's on a couple of dates.. and it was never a disappointment.. nice music, delicious drinks and a great atmosphere.. it's louder on the weekend than it is on weekdays so if you're here to talk it better be a weekday.. I'll probably become a regular customer.

TERRIBLE SERVICE

By Tampaadvisor |

Went on Friday afternoon and sat on the little patio they have facing the street. Waited more than 10 minutes before somebody even got to the table. Of course service never got better. Food was not that bad but waiting for even for even our bill its terrible. will not go back again. Plenty of different restaurants around that can take my business

Yummiest!

By Lesli R |

We both ordered the fish and chips... loved the fish... we ordered our "chips" differently and agreed the nailed the fish! Get the steak type fries... Friendly staff and fun atmosphere... definitely going back soon!

Nice chilled out bar

By Ying T |

It was an ok bar, quite small, nice music. There was live music band was going to play but we left early, that suck. Drinks are not so expensive. Manhattan was very strong!

Best Place to Watch Football in Atlanta!

By Melissa |

I've been going to Fado for years and I think it's pretty safe to say that Fado in Buckhead is the best place to watch football (Premier League, European, Gaelic and American) in the city! We love going in on a Saturday or Sunday morning and watching EPL, having a traditional Irish Breakfast a pint of Guinness or a Bloody Mary and you can't beat the banter from Russell - the best bartender! On Friday and Saturday nights they have live music and open the dance floor up. And on Wednesday nights they have Pub Quiz! Fado really does offer a little something for everyone!

quick brunch

By Rashida G |

Good food. I love the cod fish tacos and the jalapeno relish sauce is amazing. They did not have a kids menu so they gave my daughter mini cheeseburgers which were super delicious. The bottomless mimosas were a nice way to celebrate my little brother getting married! I also had the raspberry espresso martini which I loved. Good staff and good food for this past weekend.

Good food, crowded, band quit too early

By Jo R |

We were there for St. Patrick's Day. Food was good (Reuben), service fast, even though it was crowded. However, waitress never came back with our bill. We had to go to the bar and retrieve a credit card and pay. Band was OK, played entire sets of U2/Bono, and quit at 10PM. We were surprised; coming from Milwaukee, which rocks all night (actually all year!). That cleaned the place out. We left at midnight, and it was pretty empty. $10 cover charge....band should have played all night!

Could be really good with more effort

By GreenLakerGA |

Irish food is one of my favorites. Having driven through the Irish countryside and eaten at a number of Irish pubs, I know how good Irish food can be. I was therefore disappointed in the food and service at Fado's on Mother's Day, 2015. While we had a party of 11 for lunch, the restaurant was not packed and did not have people waiting in line to get in. In fact many of the tables were empty and one section was closed off. Rather unusual and perhaps a symptom. Given that the restaurant was not packed, I expected that all our food would be delivered at one time. This was not the case. My food was among the last to be delivered and the sandwich, Garden Beets and Hummus, was supposed to come on grilled bread. The bread may have been grilled, but it came cold and dry. The included house soup was tasty but not very warm. Others in our party seemed to enjoy the pulled lamb French dip and their meals. Service was not up to expectations. After we placed our order, others in the restaurant came in and were served before we were. Because of the delay, one couple in our party had to order some pretzels to feed their kids. Likewise, it took forever to get our checks and some of the people had to leave.

Thanksgiving Pub Grub

By Veritas1955 |

It was pretty quite Im sure as it was mid day Wednesday before Thanksgiving but I had a skillet of bangers and mash that was the best I have ever had. And a full pour pint. Something most American bartenders don't understand. Like to experience the pub when it is a little livelier but understand why. Service was great.

Great food at a great price

By rosecarver |

We ate here Friday before Memorial Weekend, and really enjoyed it! We sat on the covered roof where the temperature was good and the breeze was nice. They have typical Irish menu items, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are all very friendly, and the food was served fresh and hot. We would definitely eat here again if in the area!

Pretty good

By JJRJ |

The food is pretty good, not outstanding... except for the boxty wedges with cheese dip. I swear this appetizer alone keeps us coming back. (That, and the proximity to the hotel we usually stay at in Buckhead). I've had decent burgers, decent bangers and mash, nothing outstanding except the boxty and dip. The atmosphere is nice, can get a bit loud when there is a match on. It's a pretty big place (and I haven't even been upstairs, so not sure what is up there). I like it, don't love it... except for that one appetizer, which I love so much I've attempted to duplicate in my own kitchen. No success yet, I'm sorry to report, so I'll need to go do some more research the next time I'm in Atlanta :)

Outstanding!

By Bill L |

Family of 7 to celebrate a Christmas Eve birthday for lunch. Everyone loved what they ordered; the service was excellent (and seemed personal); and we liked the ambiance. I had Fish &Chips (Irish style); others enjoyed the Shepherd's pie, fish tacos, the Gaelic Steak Boxty, and 3 had the Pear & Bleu Cheese Salad. Very Good! We're going back.

Nice place for drinks and a snack after work.

This was my first visit to the new location. The draft beer selection is good and the chips and pretzel appetizers with dipping sauces were very tasty.

Great good, loud place

By Matt P |

Visited on a Saturday night. Was busy with a younger croeat dinner time. Service eas fairly slow. Would take around 20 minutes each time we ordered drinks. Foox was excellent. Ordered the rueben, pork belly tacos and corned beef and cabbage. All were great. Band started playing and the noise was so loud our party of 4 had yo leave. Couldn't hear each other across the table it was so loud. The food is the standout. Would return but probably at lunch time.

Try It at least Once

Every once in a while, when you're looking for a different bar experience with some heart warming food for the cooler weather, this is where you want to go. Their Shepard's pie is great, right portion. And those ice cubes are fun too. You gotta see them to understand. Have fun. Downside: you have to pay for parking.

Fish & Chips craving

Fun but loud atmosphere. Good service and food. Nice beer and craft cocktail selection. Can also sit outside

Great find!

We were looking for a quick bite and a couple of drinks before going to the Buckhead theatre. This place was casual, lively and a short walk to the theater. Our server was awesome! He was friendly, made great suggestions about the food. We came in on a Friday evening and they had $5 happy hour apps and loads of drink specials till 7pm. Everything we tried was great! We had fish and chips that were out of this world. So good. All our food came out hot and fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

This place has a really great atmosphere, lots of interesting menu choices not just pub food, specials on both drinks and food, great staff, fun place.

Good food and drink

I ventured to Fado for a recent alumni event held on the rooftop deck. It was a nice lively yet relaxed atmosphere. I tried the big, juicy, sliders as well as the beer battered chicken fingers. Both were delicious. I ordered a dragonfruit mojito from the bar which was excellent. This was my first trip to Fado's and a return visit is definitely in order.

Good Vibes

Pros: (1) REALLY tasty food with nice presentation (2) Semi-separated eating nooks (you don't feel overwhelmed by the size of the place) (3) Quick seating & equally fast service from waitstaff (4) Valet parking (complimentary during lunch hours; discounted with validation during dinner hours) (5) Other parking (in the 'Buckhead Atlanta' deck across from the restaurant & metered parking along Buckhead Avenue) (6) Live music on weekends starting @ 10pm (subsequent $5 cover charge) Con: (1) Loud even without the live music (although its a really nice eatery, its still a pub... so the elevated noise level is kind of a given)

Great place to watch soccer

By GBWeible |

Enjoyed watching soccer on a Saturday afternoon at Fado. They had game day specials available, which was nice. Both the food and service were very good. Be aware that quite a crowd can gather for popular games, so you need to arrive early if you want a table.

Typical Irish Pub

We went here recently to watch a college football game. The food was good, not great. The service was attentive.
