Ate there twice. Not a chain restaurant but also not fine dining. But the food and drinks were both good with the wine very good. Service was fine and helpful. Second meal there I had missed lunch during day so was hungry. Had the ribs and coleslaw so had space and need for desert. So I went for their specialty the bread pudding. Filled me up and I couldn't count the calories.Really handy for the hotel with plenty of parking. So yes try it and go there hungry and have a desert

Stayed at the Hyatt Place (across the street from the restaurant) and had a great meal and fun night. I ordered the beer sampler (six beers of your choice) and not knowing the local Portland Microbrews, asked the server to decide the choices, saying I liked IPAs and Pale ales. He didn't disappoint me, and I had great brewskis and wonder brisket for dinner. Nice and comfortable atmosphere, and all of the service staff was wonderful! Really enjoyed my meal and drinks here!

I tried the half letter which is supposed to serve two or three and four of us ate had plenty of food left over everything was excellent the variety of barbecue sauces was excellent and I enjoy the country atmosphere

We always eat here when we are staying near the Portland Airport. Depending on the weather there is outside dining. We prefer to go to Happy Hour and dine in the bar. Service is great, food is delicious, good quantity and good beverages! This place is located in a shopping mall about 1 miles from the airport. Awesome people on staff!!

First off the service was very good even though it was very crowded at lunch time when we went. I had the St. Louis Rib-N-Meat combo & chose brisket along with Wilbur beans and coleslaw. The meats were very good as were the beans. The coleslaw was a little too creamy for me. I'd probably try something else to pair with the beans next time. The burnt ends appetizer was also very good & and a good size portion. They have military Mondays where you can get 10% off if your in the military or a veteran.

Decent BBQ, Family Friendly. Good beer selection. Outdoor picnic tables give nice outdoor seating loacation.

After flying in from the east coast we were quite hungry & stopped here on our way to Eugene. Service was lightening fast & St Louis ribs were hot & meaty. One of the sides was grilled pineapple & perfectly complimented the ribs.

Some good BBQ with lots of choices. It’s not like a down home mom and pop place, but for a large scale operation it’s very good. The location is great if you are overnighting near the airport.

I enjoy BBQ and was pleased to find a Famous Dave's in Portland. I had the ribs and chicken combination. The flavor was a pleasant surprise as it tasted as if it had been smoked, very tasty. The chicken leg and thigh were a bit on the small side.

The food is good; but, a famous place should have a single famous sauce, not six with names that describe other "regions" of the country. A BBQ sandwich for $11.99 is highway robbery. The atmosphere was typical, walls covered in copies of advertising media and country items from years past...floor is concrete, the clatter is loud.

Stopped in for some rib bites and a cocktail. We were not disappointed. The bartender took great care of us, even helping us to order the correct appetizer (we had only been here once before, and had had two appetizers then, but weren't sure which one was the one we wanted to order this time). Cocktails were amply proportioned, and both the cocktails and the appetizer were priced fairly. Atmosphere is always fun and light-hearted.

If your looking for a great BBQ experience near PDX look no further! Great customer service and food makes this your ideal location for BBQ.

This was my first experience here and it was quite good. I had a chopped chicken sandwich, my business partner a sampler plate. Both of us enjoyed our dinners. The restaurant is clean and appropriately designed with a BBQ flair. Very close to the airport hotels. Definitely a thumb's up.

Huge portions. Nice brisket with good smoke. Tender but not falling apart. St Louis ribs nice and meaty with a good bite. Yummy collard greens. Creamy coleslaw that’s not too sweet. Best cornbread ever. Nachos are over the top. A meal not a starter. Friendly attentive service. Good prices. A good find.

I eat ribs coast to coast, and for a chain they do a nice job here. The ribs are meaty and have good flavor. The staff is very nice and I felt like I was eating with family.

My wife and I had an early dinner here on our last night in Oregon. We both ordered the St. Louis ribs with grilled pineapple and mac n' cheese. The ribs were excellent and done to our tastes and the sides were both delicious. Service was very good.

I waited a couple days to review because I come here often. I gave the District Manager time to respond in a private email. I wasn't worth Blair's time. So, we post it here. I come here often for the happy hour menu. I get the same thing almost every single time. The waitresses Savanah and Trish are absolutely great. Super friendly, excellent service. Another reason I was reluctant to leave a poor review. My Wife and I get served the Macaroni pictured below. Both of us must have made a weird face. Because the waitress comes over right away asking "what did they bring you?". I replied "looks like we got the bottom of the bucket this time." She immediately offered to get us two new bowls. I replied it was ok, we did not want to waste the food. Mayne just give us a couple dollars off or something. No big deal. A couple minutes later. The Manager "Freddy" comes walking to my table in an aggressive manner and tone. Chest out, acting angry. (Weighs about 140lbs, so not that threatening) Never asked if there was a problem. Simply looks at the macaroni and says "I can make you another bowl, but it is going to look just like that!" I recently was on a trip and lost my voice. So said the best I could. That I never asked for a Manager and the waitress had already handled the situation. And his presence and posture was not needed. He storms off like a child that did not get the toy he wanted. Little Freddy then goes to berate the waitress over the incident. I could not hear anything but his loud voice and his posture while speaking to her. She returns to my table, looks super embarrassed and apologizes for his behavior. Which was absolutely not her fault. She was simply delivering the best service she could. And let Freddy know there was a quality issue. (On her own) I am not a fan of someone put in some form of power and abusing it. While also not doing THEIR job. Blair and the Owner of this establishment should be utterly embarrassed at the way YOUR Manager behaves towards customers and employees. I have owned my business for 8 years. Freddy would be scrubbing toilets for a month if he acted that way at my establishment. Furthermore, he got off very lucky this time. The next time I encounter Freddy and he behaves like a bully with Napoleon syndrome. My voice will be back, And I will make sure the whole store is brought to the attention of his behavior.

We come this time whit some of my family and friends was a big order but all was good are meals take 10-15 minutes to get ready the tasting of famous ribs so good a like the combo for 3-4 person we eat several times in this place all ways we left happy whit the service and meals The location are perfect in a shopping plaza no to far from PDX and several hotel in the area good for travelers..

I met a friend for dinner here. It was my first time to Dave's. We told the waitress it was our first visit and she was very good with explaining what was on the menu and had some recommendations. I got the Texas Beef Brisket with Wilbur beans and potato salad. It was all delicious! The brisket was very flavorful. I'm not usually super fond of BBQ, but I loved it all! Also got dessert, the Hot Fudge Kahlúa Brownie. It was delicious also.

Well the hot wings were better than the bbq.. just saying. We got a big platter for a event the good thing was that you could pre order the food. The ribs were ok the brisket was salty the people didn't each much of the chicken. The coled slaw was outstanding. Sorry I was a bit disappointed.. Overall.

We came here late at night and had a quick meal before they closed. They have so many meat and bbq flavor choices that it was hard to decide. Our group had a different type of meats and we tried each others meals. My favorite were the baby back ribs. They were the best. The Mac and cheese was another favorite.

We were greeted with promptness and seated right away, the service was very good, the best bar-b-que foods were the ribs/ beef and wings, the chicken leg quarters were so so, not well seasoned, althought the claim it was slow cooked, my leq quarters were just a bit under cooked, but however they replaced it with well done after pointing it out....a very good experience overall.

Had the beef brisket with 2 sides and cornbread. The sweet and zesty sauce is one of many that can be added to the brisket. It was excellent! The collard greens were just okay. The garlic, mashed red potatoes were excellent. Given the amount of food, I appreciated that the corn bread was a small muffin. This is conveniently located and the menu is extensive!

Service was very good. Food came out quickly. Clean. Plenty of parking Rather bland for my tastes but good price for lunch.

Oh baby this place is goooooood, I mean gooooooood. I have tried Podnah’s, I have tried Buster’s and I have tried Russell street but this place blows everyone out. Their brisket is mouthwatering and their ribs are awesome. The broccoli tasted awesome and everything else. Need I say anything else, go try it without bias....u won’t regryit

If you want great BBQ, this is a place to try. My wife and I split a two meat plate which was more than enough. Not only is all of it finger licking good, they have a brownie topped with ice cream that was huge!!!! I thought it could be a meal in itself if you wanted that much sugar all at once.

We had dinner at Famous Dave's last weekend at the Portland Airport. As usual it was amazing. the ribs were so tender and the mac and cheese scrumptious as always. We had a Platter for two that was plenty for the two of us with a take home to go back to the Loft Motel across the street later. The server we had was very pleasant and attended to our requests timely. As I stated the service and wait time was expedited timely and we will return for dining on our next trip to Portland.

Hadn't been to a Dave's in a while before here. Great selection and quality. Just wish the portions were a little bigger for the price you pay.

I reckon this one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. Nothing too fancy just a great quality fresh cheese burger with all the right additions. Served with a side of crispy crinkle cut fries and a cold beer. Perfection! Prices are good too which in this day and age is a big bonus.

I've heard of Famous Dave's for years but never had the opportunity to eat there. I was really impressed with everything about this place. Great food, awesome beer, and great staff. The different choices in sauces allows everyone to find something they like.

I,and my friend who had not been there before. We both had meat combo meals. He had Burnt ends with Ribs, sweet corn, potato salad, with there homemade BQQ chips. I had Beef Brisket, with Ribs, baked beans, Cole slaw. And a muffin too. I eat the hole thing, my friend toke home some of is Ribs. Is one of my favorite places to go to in Portland Oregon.

So glad we tried it! Atmosphere is fun and retro. Service is excellent. Food is awesome! I know this is a chain restaurant, but you wouldn’t really know it. Infinity far above the Red Robin nearby. Hillary was warm and professional, and took excellent care of us. We’ll definitely be back!

Rib Tip Platter with sides of Cole Slaw & Macaroni was very tasty with the ability to sit at the Bar and watched various games.

Great restaurant, good food, nice service. Pricey, nice hotel close to snow landscapes. Worth to visit.

I ignore the kitsch and silly sloganeering since the baby back ribs are excellent. Just the right amount of sauce and not overcooked or dry (and plenty of paper towels and hand wipes at each table). There are a variety of sauces on hand if the basic sauce isn't satisfying. The half rack is more than enough to eat as all sides are ample. The two sides you can choose are excellent as well. The coleslaw was fresh and tasty, as was the green salad. The fries are made from real potatoes. The craft beer list is also extensive.

While visiting Portland, I was glad I decided to stop in this restaurant. I ordered a bake potato with pulled bar-b-que chicken. It was very filling and worth the price.

Stayed at red lion Portland. And checked TripAdvisor for restaurant nearby, among the first ten restaurants we picked Dave’s famous BBQ. We were not disappointed, the hostess was very friendly and told us the wait was 30 minutes. We were sat in 20. The waitress was very friendly and took our order. Drinks came quick. The food came after 20 minutes. I order baby back ribs that came with 2 sides I choose coleslaw and broccoli, my wife ordered roasted half chicken with corn on the Cobb and red mashed potato. Both were served with corn bread. As an restaurants owner myself I admit it was excellent. The bill for 2 with 2 glasses of wine and Stella beer was 54 dollars. Meal was huge. Staff very nice. I recommend highly

While my girlfriend raves about this place , I just don't see it.We've been here many times and the food is just not that good. The service on the other hand is the high point. After our last visit I won't be coming back and needed to express why.Our waitress was a gem and I let her know on the way out that any company would be honored to have her work with them.!! ( She was a young woman of color with a golden smile and a laugh that lit the room up.!!) The food on the other hand was horrid...dry,old ribs that were tough for my girlfriend and an extremely over priced steak that was rare first off ( I ordered medium rare ) , and I didn't want to not eat with my gal and our friends by sending it back. The steak had no marbling and even once I reheated it back at home, only about a 1/4 of the whole steak was edible ..nothing but fat and gristle !! $38 I believe we spent for that steak and never again. Our other guests were under whelmed with the whole experience as well..your onion strings were the only thing half way good..

Famous Dave's may be famous, and owned by Dave, but it doesn't live up to its billing. From observing the waiters, some are attentive, some almost invisible, hard to get attention from. Food is okay, but certainly has the feel of being mass produced. Corn on the cob had been in the warmer way too long...no taste, soft, ugh. Brisket was okay, too thinly sliced...no body, not at all juicy...another sign of having been cooked and just sitting around. Wife had vegetables only...all sitting way too long in a warmer. We fly out of Portland International occasionally, would not come back to this place, no matter how famous it is. Hard to get waiters attention, meal only showed up after we asked for the third time. No excuse for having to wait 40 minutes from time we ordered, especially given the condition of the food.

Everytime we go to this restaurant we have to wait for at least 45 mins to an hour for a table. We normally have at least 6-8 people in our party which includes small children 6 and under however, that is what the dining room is set up for, large groups. We always get the impression from the front reception staff that it doesn't matter if we are there or not. but once we are seated we generally have a great server that makes us feel appreciated. The noise level is very high. The food is good so we keep coming back although we really have to prepare ourselves for the wait and the noise.

We sat there for about 45 minutes, I asked for waiter twice but no one ever showed up. We left. On the way out the person that seated us said "sorry" It was not busy in the restaurant, will not ever go back.

Been to these all over and they are good. This one was good and the same as the rest. Only issue was the service was extremely slow. Food was good and plentiful. I had the founders feast and enjoyed it.

I had never heard of this chain restaurant before, but a friend took me here during a recent trip to Portland. I'm counting calories so I was glad to see the calorie count listed with the menu selections, and that I could get a side of steamed broccoli. The brisket sandwich was very good. The meat wasn't too dry and the bun was better than some I have had at other BBQ restaurants. Our server was attentive and I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant.

horrible horrible experience and even worse staff when issues brought to management. we celebrated our son's birthday, paid over $100 for terrible food, no alcohol in the drinks, and when we asked for the bartender to make another, we were shot down and recieved snarky remarks the rest of the night. I emailed the restaurant where my response was a literal period and no further communication when I reached out twice after that. my friend who was in the same party as us, was able to speak with someone and it was almost like since they handled her refund they didn't care any longer about the other families involved with the experience. the waitress told us not to order the pork because it was dry, the bartender told the waitress to tell us he doesn't control the alcohol in a beer- well we know that but you do in a spiked lemonade sir. and of the three we ordered were definitely not spike. i ordered bbq chicken sandwhich and it literally tasted like something from a can. if I could give this place zero stars I would and I never leave awful reviews. save your money and go anywhere else. this place is an actual joke.

We went for a Super Bowl Sunday meal in a Famous Dave's, located near the Cascade Station shopping center by the Portland International Airport. The north side of the building is a huge parking lot, the south side is a frontage road for the airport. The entrance is on the west side, so during inclement weather its a hike to get to the door. It was raining heavy on Sunday, so we were drenched upon entering. Restaurant was virtually empty, but all the screens were on the Atlanta game. We didn't care, as we were there to have a meal. We were quickly seated, given food and drink menus. The wait staff was very friendly, introduced us to large assortment of their famous BBQ sauces (everything from mild to wild) and offered suggestions of the menu. Lady also offered us a little serving of their BBQ seasoned potato chips to use as scoops to taste the sauces while waiting for our order. Their beer menu is quite extensive and I ordered a BUD LITE, my companion ordered a Widmer Heffeweisen. I settled on the St. Louis Rib-N-Meat combo which came with another selection of meat and two side dishes. I ordered mashed potatoes and a corn cob as sides, and beef brisket as a secondary meat order. The ribs were fantastic, just sugary enough to be extra tasty, yet not much. Plenty of meat on the bones. The brisket was a bit dry, but I experimented with above mentioned sauces, and liked the result. Corn was as if floating in water to long, soggy, not much taste. A corn muffin as added bonus, I liked it. My order was was extensive and, honestly, two people could have enjoyed it. My companion ordered similarly huge meal of baby back ribs and brisket, with sides of mashed redskin potatoes and broccoli. She was also very satisfied with the meats - tender, smokey and juicy, especially when slathered in sauces. masked potatoes and broccoli also were to her satisfaction. I think we will return, ironically, on a more busy day, and perhaps the food will be even more succulent

Saw the title of this review on one of their T-shirts. Bottom-line everything we ordered was simply fantastic except for the Baby Back Ribs. I expect the meat to fall of the bones when eating BBQ ribs. The meat was really stuck and not easily eaten. On the other hand the BBQ chicken did fall off the bones and was delicious. I had the Feast and every item other than the ribs was outstanding. The cornbread cupcake, garlic mashed potatoes, baked beans and slaw was the best that I have had in a long time.

Had dinner here with family. The waitress was horrible. She would bring drink refills but left all the empty glasses on the table. We had to wait a hour and a half for our food. During that time our waitress o my brought out 2 bowls of potato chips to snack on for 8 people. We were told that on our hamburgers you get either well done or medium. When we got our burgers the well done one was charcoaled all around the edge. Burnt so bad that you couldn't eat it. One burger was ordered well and came out pink and had to be sent back. One burger was ordered pink and came out well. 2 different burgers so its not like mixed up plates. My husband ordered a loaded baked potato ,it came out luke warm and absolutely no butter on it it was dry as a bone. One order of a side dish was mashed potatoes and they brought fries. Worst tasting dinner for the prices they charge. We complained about the wait and one of the burgers and the manager was very polite and did give us a discount. But as far as I'm concerned I would have left and not paid a cent it was that bad. Don't even order a glass of wine either. Not only do they not give you a full glass but they charge you $7.00 a glass. That's the most I've EVER paid for a glass of wine. I'll never eat here again. For my first visit it was awful

Went here with my Mom and brother before heading to the Tortola BVI on holiday. I had never been so we checked it out. I had the loaded baked potato and salad. It was really good, I wish I was hungrier I would of got some BBQ. My brother had the brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese he loved it. I think I will eat here again when I get back from my trip.

You know when in Portland you have to try the craft brews. Dave has an extensive beer "menu". Its not as "cool" as brewery but you get to try from many sources. The food was good too.

The food was good. The chicken dinner was a great choice and the choice of sides were tasty. I had steamed Broccoli with mashed Potatoes. We did not have to wait a long time for our food.

Six of us flew up to Portland, Oregon for a memorial service in January and we found ourselves stuck in an unexpected ice storm, we decided to get off the slippery roads and find a warm place to share some stories and a warm lunch! Our service was fantastic and the food was warm, delicious and fresh. We all had a fun time experimenting with the different sauces and food options. Inside the building was cold so dress warm and also bring a fork because their fork tines are cut off blunt and they do not work for picking up food! 🍴🍖🍔

I've never been to a famous Dave's but I enjoyed this one. Food was good as was the service. When we couldn't find a steak house BBQ worked out well.

We had a good BBQ lunch here after shopping at IKEA. Place can be very busy with its location being close to a lot of shopping as well as PDX. We had good service, the BBQ was good and prices were fair. Had the brisket, ribs (kind of dry) and smoked turkey. They have lots of specialty cocktails as well as beers on tap. For a chain BBQ joint, it was great.

We stopped by for a late lunch, restaurant was almost empty. My husband had The Manhandler sandwich, I ordered BBQ Buddies and it was finger lickin' good! Waitress was polite and she came over few times to check if we needed anything. Standard Famous Dave's.

As a transplanted Texan, any time I see term BBQ restaurant, I am a little skeptical. I have eaten at the Famous Dave's in both Tukwila and Portland and haven't been disappointed either time. The ribs and corn muffins are a particular highlight. Go and eat and enjoy the excess!

My wife thoroughly enjoyed her catfish and brisket combo - tender brisket, fresh tasting fish. I returned to my favorite - rib tip dinner - and received a generous serving of lean and meaty tips. Watch out for rather high prices on drafts. They're not printed on menu, so ask your server.

Fantastic variety on the menu, just don't ask for vegetarian options. My Texas pork was nice and juicy, perfectly cooked. Service was good as my soda was never empty.

We liked it well enough to go twice in the same visit. Polite staff and speedy service. Had ribs and chicken. Really liked the chicken. Great sides, NO collard greens due to national shortage. So can't comment on those.

We were a group of 6 getting together for some chatter and catch up. Famous Dave's was a convenient meeting point: by the airport, next to Portland, off the main highway. We Sat outside at a big table enjoying the fresh air, flights coming/going, yummy food and good service. We arrived at slightly staggered times, but the waitress was very patient and accommodating. She treated up to some snacking chips to try out the sauces as a little extra. YUMMY... My burnt ends with onion strings appetizer was perfect for lunch and very tasty. My cousin enjoyed her tasty BBQ brisket sandwich (good meat, lean not greasy). Our pal got the 4 mini burgers combo: thumbs down on the chicken, but the other three were quite good. We chatted quite a bit but again, the waitress was patient. She was attentive without hovering and no pressure to move out once meals were done. She refreshed drinks with a smile and handled 3 checks with ease. All in all, a good stop. Would try again!

What gives?! Big bar room area; waitress inquires about "a pre-dinner drink"; NO beer or wine prices listed. Waitress is even unsure of the prices! Whoo-boy, be careful I tell myself. Having a few and not thoroughly checking your bill could smell trouble. I call it a SCAM. Ordered a glass of house wine and burnt ends sandwich. The few small burnt ends came on a mediocre, soggy bun. They were flavorless alone, so I used the sauces on the table. Waitress came by with barbecue flavored chips as a "reward" for trying the sauces. My companion had a few of those chips with a glass of lemonade. Mediocre. I guess one positive aspect of this place was our seating - in a clean, comfortable booth. Just wish the dining experience was more positive. No recommendation.

Very good food. Cornbread was very sweet which was. Fresh. Jalapenos on the nachos were very hot. Never trust a fresh pepper 🙂 mac and cheese was a little bland was able to add salt to it and it was fine. Brisket did not taste like it had been cooked on site but was still pretty good. Chicken strips were excellent. You could tell they were very fresh.

We came in for dinner and we had an amazing waitress Monique. Service with a smile and she knew the menu pretty good with the sauces. The brisket was good with the ribs. The banana pudding was huge and delicious. Over pretty good size restaurants with great service.

I have often had the burning desire for some mouth watering ribs and good old food that taste amazing. We went for my mother in laws birthday, because it was her choice. I was very disappoint with my platter it consisted of an corn bread, cole slaw, bbq pork bean (that look like someone took half out of the very small cup they where already in) & a small quarter chicken (Leg and thigh). The ribs tasted good it just look like someone had cut half the meat off of them. My hubby got a kick out of their XXX BBQ sauce.

This is a chain BBQ restaurant. If you get a good server it will make or break the meal. I was lucky, she gave some great suggestions on serving sizes and choices. Very much appreciated.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Had their new tacos with the beef and pork. Both were fantastic, very tasty.

We are a Famous Daves while in Portland. The food was excellent. I had the brisket and my wife had the pulled pork. Both were very good with a very smiley flavor and were very tender. The menue offers many choices.

Famous Dave’s, if you don’t know, is a very large chain BBQ place. We tried to get into a different BBQ place this night but couldn’t get in that place’s door. We almost didn’t get into Famous’ door either but managed to grab places at the bar, which I didn’t mind a bit (was hungry now). The bartender was very busy hustling around but she took our orders quickly and never let our beer glasses go empty (might check out the interesting beer tap cooling system if you’re seated nearby). Obviously Famous has a lot of practice with BBQ so there were no bad surprises with the food. But also not any real “holy cow” (holy pig?) moments either. Completely adequate and nice that we got the good service but just a little too chained for me. A nice average 3-stars out of five.

We had our Thanksgiving dinner here and it was amazing! The chicken was superb. They have several different types of bbq sauce and they are vastly different but tasty.

OK so the BBQ is great, as you would expect, but there is waiter who you must ask for. Jonathan makes the experience a one to remember. A guy who likes to meet people is friendly, knowledgeable, and is an expert at what he does. To give you some framework I have eaten in multi Michelin Star restaurants and spent way too much for a dining experience. Jonathan ranks up as one of the best I have had the pleasure to meet. Go for the food and you won't be disappointed, request Jonathan and you will have an amazing experience.

I was by myself and went to the bar. It seems like I was an inconvenience to the bartender. I hope she was just having a bad night. I just ordered 1 beer and something to eat. Would have gotten another drink but I just didn't want the vibe I was getting. The food was ok service not so much.

Didn't seem like there were that many people here, but service was a bit slow, steaks were good, not exactly cooked as ordered but OK, other places were full so we came in here, we did enjoy the meal, just not on the order of excellent

Excellent BBQ food but an even better choice of beers to sample with the Famous Dave's Beer Flight. One of the best beer samplers in town and good prices.

In town for two days and needed lunch someplace near hotel. Usual fare a sl le at all if this chain. Server friendly. Food arrived quickly was good. Reasonable priced lunch specials.

Second visit to this place since May 2017 as I was in Portland for business and the is the place to stop for dinner if you have a night in Portland and want to stay close to the airport. Cascade Station is less than 5 minutes from the airport and ramps directly off of the Airport Drive. The BBQ is simply the best! I had ribs with a coulee of sides and everything was amazing! Strangely enough my wife is full vegetarian and she found there sides more than enough for dinner including there huge baked potato! Price was around 16$ if i recall for my plate and every bite was delicious! It's a rustic atmosphere with deep south and Memphis blues music being piped through the house. Be sure to make a stop!

Food was perfect, service was awesome, my family had a wonderful time, we love and enjoy our food, we will definitely return.

Wife and I just had dinner here. Wasn’t overly crowded for a Saturday evening around 9pm, and we had a great waiter in Ashton L. Had a great conversation with her, she really took her time to chat without being overly friendly to get a good tip, and we wish her the best in Oregon! My wife took the ribeye and I took 4 bones of st. Louis style ribs. Both were really delicious. I gulped it down with a 10 barrel Apocalypse IPA, which was really good too. Would definitely eat here more if we’d be in the area longer.

I have to start by stating that I am from Memphis, TN and this doesn't even light a candle to Memphis BBQ. With that said, the service was nice and the place was clean. My family was pleased with their orders. I didn't have many choices for BBQ due to the GF needs. . . The chicken was good (not dry) and the potato salad good was as well. I asked about items being gluten free and they gave me an amazing detailed list of every item and their ingredients. Very, very thorough. I wouldn't go back however. I just wouldn't. Not the best bbq.

This was my first time here and it was really good! The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive! First they brought us warm kettle chips so we could try all the different sauces. Then I ordered the BBQ buddies so I could try the different meats. My favorite was the pork, but it was all delicious! Very wheelchair friendly and also some outside seating. 5 stars!

wanted to try Famous Dave's for a while and took the opportunity being close to the airport. Restaurant was busy which seemed to be a good sign. Service was friendly and selections were good. BBQ however was just ok, baby backs were meaty but dry, brisket was very salty almost to the point of ... Highlight of the meal were the Wilbur beans, could have had a full pot of them.

Stopped here for lunch with the wife and grandkids. Menu for kids and menu for adults both dinner and lunch selections Had pulled chicken Memphis style. Was tasty and multiple choices of BBQ sauce. Homemade BBQ chips were spicy but good. Beer selection was adequate. I had the Widmer. Price for 6 was about $60 with top. Dinner runs $15-25 per plate

We came here as family to eat dinner and watch March Madness games. Fun to have other patrons get in on the games as well kids thought it was fun. Food was good but could use bit more proportions for what you pay for imo. We ordered same plates and both were different size proportions. It was a Saturday night and told 1hr wait got seated in 20 mins, we ok with that for sure. Service was little slow, but again, Saturday night busy, understood and our server made up for it with smiles, apologies and refills.

Staff greets you right away, seating was very quick. Servers made sure you knew what was on the menu and drink specials. Wings were great and a variety of sauces to choose from. Decided to sit out on the patio area

This restaurant was recommended by my friend's daughter. The food and service was good and the waitress was very attentive to our needs.

Had lunch there on a shopping trip. They are big on barbequed stuff and mixed fish/meat combos. I had combo # 2 - catfish and st louis bibs. This consisted of three small ribs and two strips of catfish for $12.99. Very disappointing. definitely a one-visit place.

Wherever I see a Famous Dave's that's my go to restaurant. I had the lunch two meat special, ribs and brisket with side of wilber beans and a corn muffin, all delicious.

great food, great service, great atmosphere. prices good, will eat there again very soon..courteous help

Stopped in on our way out of PDX. Was told it was 30 min wait but ended up being 15 min. Our waitress was top notch, she acknowledged us as soon as we sat, took our order promptly and always checked back with us during our meal. I ordered the prime rib over fried onion strips with mashed potatoes and Mac/cheese as my sides! Requested it medium rare and came out perfectly. It all tasted delicious. My wife and daughter also commented that their dishes were delicious too. We shared the banana pudding and let's say "WOW" Highly recommend this place if you got time before your flight. Won't be disappointed! Definitely exceeds the high TripAdvisor ranking!

With the restaurant. This was my second time to dine here. The service was good once they finally found us. Surprised how busy it was for a Wednesday night. The brisket was a little dry. The pork was really good. Enjoyed the variety of sauces but the Devil’s spit was the best. Not super hot but it has a kick. It is a fun place to go!

Came in for a Friday night dinner and was seated quickly. Marlee was our server. She was absolutely amazing. Among handling a large party, she made time to check on all her tables and quickly brought us chips and drinks to start our evening. We ordered the feast for 2 and let me tell you it was more than the 3 of us could finish. Fresh corn bread muffins came with. Marlee had a great attitude. Great service. Outstanding visit, Thank you Marlee we will be back!

I always love coming here for the great variety of barbeque. I had a great spicy bloody mary and some chili before i ate me sampler. My tummy was happy.😋

The brisket was great, burnt ends were just okay and the roasted chicken was very average. Would go back for brisket for sure. Manager was very rude. Got takeout and I guess he was wanting a larger tip from me, sorry when I walk in, have to wait several minutes and all you do is hand me a bag not sure what service I should be tipping you more than a few bucks for.

Went with a group of 10, was seated in about 10 mins. On our end of the table (4 of us) we ordered the All-American BBQ Feast (feeds 4-6), All was great, At the end we have enough food for 3 more folks.

Family of four visited for lunch. BBQ was tasty and I am pretty picky with BBQ. There was a variety of sauces. Ribs were just ok, but brisket and chicken were good. Chicken was juicy. Brisket had good flavor and wasn't too dry. Service was spot on. Pros: Kid friendly, fast service Cons: A little pricey. Over $50 for lunch and the kids shared a plate.

We stopped here for dinner after leaving the airport. I hadn’t been here in several years. The front staff were very nice and helpful and we were seated promptly. Our server was great - good energy and great rapport. She kept our drinks filled and checked in on us just the right amount. They have added some menu items, and it was hard to choose. We asked to share the smoked rib eye. It was really great that it came out nicely split on 2 plates. Beans are good with a spicy sauce and diced meat. The corn muffins are great too - no butter needed! We ordered the feast to go to take home to our son - he was impressed and loved it! I was glad we stopped in.

Have eaten here twice recently and both times have been great... The burnt ends were amazing.. Cajun chicken sandwich and BBQ pulled chicken sandwich really good... Husband had catfish.. service was friendly and quick.. love the complimentary potato chips too . Will be back 😉

Great barbecue with a huge selection. We did take out and we were given plenty of napkins (you will need them) and utensils. Flavorful and plentiful. Can't wait to go back!!

Long lines and some wait time as this is the place to eat excellent Bar-B-Que. Smoked Rib-Eye amazing. Wilbur Beans are very good but a little too sweet for my liking. Cornbread muffin just melted in your mouth. Berry Sangria was amazing. Because it gets so busy the wait staff cannot keep up with refills etc. Bartender on Saturday was in no hurry to pour drinks. Ignored customers and was just sort of aloof with all the action going on around her. A must place to eat next time in Portland.

Had the 4 pack of ribs with no drink and still cost over $20. Pricey, but right across the street from the hotel.

This restaurant is conveniently located near the airport along with several hotels. Hard to go wrong with BBQ, The Famous Dave's sauces are pretty good also. Assuming you have a big appetite, I recommend the 2 or 3 meat combo's, allowing you to sample different choices.

It was a cold and rainy day...sounds like the beginning of a novel. But it was a great day to have chicken, ribs, brisket, corn on the cob, beans, cornbread and french fries....for two. My wife was sure we wouldn't finish, but I had a hankerin' and we ate everything except for finishing the pile of french fries. There are some day's ya' just gotta' have ribs and I can always count on Dave's.

Waitress was excellent, but really stretched thin due to understaffing. My husband’s ribeye was tough as nails. He was only able to eat half of it. The remainder was simply too tough and grisly to cut, let alone chew. My burger was just fine. The overall experience was extremely disappointing, as it was a special occasion for us and the poor quality of my husband’s meal was a big let down.

Stopped in to meet a friend for lunch. We ate in the bar. The server was prompt to greet us and ask for our drink order. He quickly made and delivered drinks to our table, then took our food order. They were fairly busy for the lunch crowd, but our meal came out to the table in an acceptable amount of time. The food was flavorful and served warm. The ribs were a little dry but the bbq sauce was tasty so you could look past the dryness of the meat.

food is awesome. excellent staff and management. Very mild atmosphere and the price is worth the quality of food served here.

Excellent BBQ food , plus a GREAT choice of beers to sample by requesting the Famous Dave's Beer Flight. One of the best beer samplers in town...And some of the BEST BBQ around! (My only complaint is I paid $7.50 for a 16 oz pint of beer.!)

I walked to this place from my hotel. I normally am not a fan of chain restaurant's but it was close. The food was fresh, hot and really tasty. A great selection of beers and super friendly and efficient waitress made for a great visit.

We had lunch at Famous Dave's on a Saturday afternoon. It was crowded, but our wait wasn't too long. I had a bowl of potato soup which was delicious. My husband had a hamburger which was okay, but nothing outstanding. It wasn't easy to find a parking place on this rainy day, but we did.

Took the family here that were visiting from Cincinnati and treated ourselves to a variety of the menu. Everything was fantastic. Great flavors and the service was very good. Not cheap but portions and flavor make up for the prices.

Just finished dinner at this Famous Dave's. My husband ordered their holiday unspecial short rib. It was as tough as an old shoe. The sides (beans ) had way too much vinega, the mashed potatoes had alot of butter and very little garlic. There was nothing memorable about both our dinners except we'll remember to never go to Famous Dave's again.

Our first visit to a "Famous Dave's" and we can't wait to go back or try another! The food was cooked perfectly and was soooo good. We loved the cool atmosphere too. Can't wait to go back!

This was our first visit to Famous Dave’s near the Portland airport, and we were thoroughly impressed! Our server, Marlee, was absolutely delightful—attentive, helpful, and genuinely kind. The food was fantastic, especially the tender brisket, flavorful collard greens, and hearty beans. And those corn muffins? Simply over the top! We’ll definitely be back.

This was my first visit to Famous Dave's and my meal was superb. The broccoli was steamed just right, the corn bread was crunchy on the top, the way I like it, the catfish was almost as good as the way my Louisiana cousin fixes it, and the fall off of the bone pork ribs were really good. I know that some have complained about the high prices, however, my meal was $14.99, included 2 sides, and cornbread. That was a large meal for that price. Most of the BBQ rib prices are $20-$25 and unless someone has been under a rock for a long time, those are pretty standard prices. I have been all over Texas and Lousiana recently, and Some restaurants in Dallas are crazy expensive, compared to Famous Dave's. Dave's food is delicious. I even tried another family member's ribs. I'll be back for sure.

This chain restaurant location provided a great meal with portions large enough to take home. Everything was as expected, the meat juicy and tender. Sauces were average. Service was prompt when we entered but as it was Mother's Day, the place was filling up with large parties which might slow service.

Had a business meeting, loved the meal. Burnt ends were wonderful, ordered as a appetizer and as part of the meal. I would also order Mac and cheese again. Will stop back again.

Good food and service. Seemed to be somewhat clean but could be better. We had a very nice waitress. My only complaint was the numerous interruptions to check on us. We were visiting family and having great conversation but had to stop about every 5-7 minutes to tell the waitress everything was okay. It was very annoying, check on us but not that often. I am sure she meant well so we are not upset but hopefully the restaurant will read this and considerr the number of times to visit a table. We would go back.

Awesome place, awesome food and awesome service Anything else you need to know? Just kidding.....this place is rad....consistently serving the best BBQ in Portland area. I have tried Podnah’s/Russell street street BBQ. This place is waaaaaay better and lots and lots of quantity and quality. Extremely good service and good behavior

I had heard a lot about this place and decided to try. I can't say I was really disappointed , but not really thrilled either. Service was a little slow for a Sunday evening past the dinner rush hour. Food was good, but not anything special. Was disappointed that the wilbur beans were spicy and was not indicated on the menu. I had already asked the server if the mac and cheese was really spicy because it had a pepper by it. I thought that was a weird thing to make spicy. I told him that I was very sensitive to spicy food and he never mentioned that the beans were spicy. I asked him later and he admitted he should have said something. Not a place I would rush back to.

Always good and reasonable value for good quality. They had a rib eye special for $19.95 with corn bread, 1 side, also a side salad... the beef was of excellent quality, and cooked just right. Friendly and good service. Lots of easy free parking, not far from the airport.

Delicious smells enticed my husband and I in for dinner twice. We're not sure why everybody rates this place so highly. The atmosphere is nice but both times we have eaten here the food has been cold. I love brisket but couldn't eat what was brought to me the last time as it was all fat and no meat. The manager brought me out some chicken instead, comped me for the chicken which I ate and charged me for the more expensive brisket that I didn't. We won't be going back again. We'd rather drive to Busters and enjoy great BBQ for less cost in Tigard.

Craving BBQ, we stopped by Famous Dave's at Cascade Station near the Portland airport. At noon the parking was a bit of a hike to get to the entrance, especially in the rain. You just take your chances when it is all mall parking. The decor is a combination of Southern, cowboy, and antique memorabilia. Wooden chairs and tables in the middle of a large room, with ghastly uncomfortable booths around the periphery (choose a table and chair to avoid back pain). Noise is a given with the large barn-like structure. Skyla, our waitress was fabulous, very attentive, answering questions, and checking on us often. The table was graced with a rack of paper towels for sauce control, and there was a six-pack of varied sauces. Sweet and sassy was my choice, and the Devil's Spit would require a fire extinguisher, as would the triple X. My husband ordered the planked salmon with a sauce/marinade of the perfect blend of sweet and smoky. Large slices of grilled pineapple, corn on the cob, a handful of "granny" style pickles, and a delicious cornbread muffin completed the meal. My choice was a beef brisket sandwich piled high and running over with succulent beef. Beans and pickles were more than adequate to complete my lunch. Southern sweet tea brought back memories of my time in the South. The menu is so varied with every type of barbecue known to man, including more unusual items like sweetwater catfish, and barbecued nachos with your choice of meat. Dessert menu was tempting with hot fudge Kahlua brownie, and Dave's famous bread pudding with pecan praline sauce served warm over vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and whipped cream...alas we were too full to indulge. The food is a little pricey, but very good. A gate or walkway to avoid walking all the way around the outdoor eating area in the rain would be nice. The back-breaker booths could be made more comfortable, or at least padded. Since the food is the main draw, we most likely will do take-out next time.

The food is what we expected from Dave's but the service was sub par. It seemed like everyone was moving in slow motion!

First of management was rude and act like they didn’t care, had a big order for dinner to feed 13 people. Then found out they charge for bagging the food and military discount is only on Monday. Let a big order like that walk thru there door, end up going to Goldie’s barbecue in Vancouver, Wa. Spent over $200 and food was excellent with a military discount. Don’t know what kind of place famous Dave’s is? Moved here to Portland, Or and there is no customer service what so ever….

Stopped by for lunch and it's actually a fun place with good food. Yes, you better not be vegetarian to get a decent meal but for the carnivores there are plenty of choices. Good selection of brews and the catfish was delicious. Very friendly service. Will be back...

My spouse had the chopped pork and I ordered the brisket. Her pork was tender, juicy and had great flavor. I was disappointed with the brisket. It was good, but I specifically asked if it was juicy and tender. It tasted too much like roast beef with barbecue sauce. Maybe the brisket was kept in a warming oven too long, but it just was not up to my expectations. The waitress substituted pork and I thoroughly enjoyed that. We also shared a banana pudding dessert. It was very large, rich and tasty! One dessert was more than we needed, but it was the perfect dessert to have after barbecue. Even though the brisket was not outstanding, I would heartily recommend Famous Daves while traveling.

Jason and the bar staff are fabulous and a primary reason my wife and I visit Famous Dave's almost every weekend. The staff, Jason, Robbie, Hillary, Trisch, Kelsey, and others, are always attentive, pleasant, and accommodating. The menu has great options, not just BBQ, and they have many side dishes to choose from. The Beer Flight, or sampler, provides a chance to sample six different beers at once. I have not found another brewery, pub, or restaurant in Portland that allows customers to sample six-beers in a flight so from my perspective, Famous Dave's has the best beer flight in Portland. If you enjoy good food, plenty of options, great service, and enjoy adult beverages, give Famous Dave's at Cascade Station a try!

I had the BBQ short ribs. The ribs, baked beans and coleslaw were amazing. I also ordered a baked potato side and I didn't realize they grew potatoes this big. The MaiTai was great too. Overall, I found this new (to me) place to be a great spot for lunch or dinner. I will certainly be back. Prices were quite reasonable for BBQ and the food was fantastic.

The Baby Back Ribs and the Burnt Ends were good. The corn was so over done it was almost mush. The Potato Chips were good, the French Fries were poor. "Chose Wisely".

The manager was very HONEST with us that this was a place that I could not eat at. Thanks for that! Recommend it to others.

We have tried most of the restaurants at the Portland airport but this one was new for us. We had seen Famous Dave's in Kansas City and while we are not big BBQ fans thought we would give it a try, Our waitress Amber did a great job and one of the bus boys greeted us and asked if he could be of assistance each time he passed the table. The food was a bit to spicy for me but as I said, I am not a BBQ expert. If you are give it a try.

Adult beverages were not skimpy on the alcohol and tasty. BBQ was decent for a chain and staff was great.

Stayed across the street at the Aloft and walked over too the bar to eat. Big menu with plenty of meat to chose from. Settled on the 4 ribs and pulled chicken with mashed potatoes corn bread and corn. Good comfort food good service. Its a chain that is consistant where ever you go

I used to love FDs but over the years they seem to have fallen off a bit. I went here one night to kill time before going to the airport. It was late night and I sat at the bar. I had a lemonade Jack Daniel's drink that was okay. It was a day where I got ribs for $1 so I got a few and some fries. The ribs were good as always but they used to be better. I'll probably give it another whirl at some point.

This place can be spotty expensive and sometimes well worth it. Last night had the fired chicken 4 piece dinner special at $10.00 which was very tasty and worth the price. $12.00 for a hamburger seemed a bit much but the quality was good. Ribs are always good but at $27.00 for a full rack they price me out of the market most tiimes. consistent service is fair to good. Not agreat vcalue but it is good family atmpsphere

Loved the everything about this place. Our server, Marlee, was just fantastic and the food was terrific. I would eat here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed the night in Portland and decided to go out for a nice meal. Famous Dave's was the place we ended up. When you walk in the door, the smell makes you twice as hungry as you thought you were. The place was filled and we went to the bar fro a glass of wine and a beer while we waited the 15 minutes for a table. They brought out homemade potato chips, hot, to try out the different types of BBQ sauce they had on the table. Awesome! The meal didn't take long and was just incredible, more than a normal person can eat. Get a bag! Great place to eat and a really cool looking restaurant!

I stayed at hotel across from this restaurant. They had excellent ribs, but the service was terrible. After she took the order, I did not see the waitress again til she dropped off the check. In the meantime I needed more butter and salad dressing. I got a caesar salad and it had NO dressing on it. Plus I got the loaded bake potato which was huge and undercooked. It came with a small bit of butter and I needed more, plus I would have liked it while the potato was hot enough to melt it. I never saw the waitress, and finally flagged down the hostess who told me basically it was not her job and she would see if she could find the waitress, but while I was speaking to the hostess and making a face at her nonservice, another waitress heard the exchange and said she could help out. I timed it and from when I told her my 2 requests for butter and dressing, it took 7 minutes until I got those items. I guess the good news is that I got them at all! Ruined the meal for me.

During the first week of August I ate twice at Dave`s. The wait staff was quite attentive and always quick to respond to our requests. The food however, was average . . . to be honest I am not a BBQ fan and find the meats too cooked and too sweet. . . The cornbread was a bit dry and that is why I give this rating an Average. The reason I returned was because the restaurant is close to the Sheraton Airport where I stayed for a week.

Well, we go to Reno for the famous rib cook off in Sparks Nevada yearly and Famous Dave's has always been at the top of our list. However, today I was very disappointed with the amount of meat on their ribs (thank God I ordered anAppetizer) the meat was minuscule. Let's just say I will only go to Nevada where they are trying to impress a large population of people! No I would not pay $20 for 1/2 rack of ribs again! Their sauce is fabulous but no excuse!

We enjoy going here on Thursday's for $1.25 a bone night. We have yet to be let down. Service is always prompt. We are usually in there mid-day.

Just another chain that thinks they know BBQ. I was in Portland on business with a co-worker and he wanted to go there so I tagged along. Never eaten here or any of their other locations, but had a gut feeling that it wouldn't be tasteful real BBQ and guess what I was right.

Wifey and I enjoyed our meals (I love the burnt ends) and wifey loved her brisket and chicken. I asked the waitress specifically how much it would be to have the Burnt End and Rib Combo with Baby Backs. She quoted me an additional $3. I said fine. I'm a check checker. I saw that I was charged $5 instead. When I reminded her what she quoted me she said "I was wrong. It's $5." When I questioned as to why she didn't tell me that when she found out her response was, "I forgot and I didn't think you'd mind." Wrong. I minded. I would have paid the extra $ if said something, but she didn't and made an assumption. She also could have mentioned to wifey that she was ordering off the dinner menu when she could have ordered off the lunch menu. Due to the way she treated us trying to get additional money, she wound up with a 10% tip instead of my usual 20%-25%. It actually cost me LESS than if she was simply honest. I despise deception.

Famous Daves because it's good. A bit loud over the weekend and busy but overall good food. Good selection of beer. Friendly staff. My daughters and I enjoyed our meal and food. I love me some smokey meat

You go to Dave's for the meat...except for the mac and cheese forget the sides...broccoli, corn on cob tasted like been sitting in warm water for hours...limp, limp, limp...cole slaw drowned in dressing...but, chicken, ribs are good...chow down. And don't forget the 1000 calorie bread pudding for desert.

Had a great meal here. Some smoked ribs and some baby back ribs. Absolutely delicious with great flavor and melt in your mouth. Service was great.

I am from the Midwest and love barbecue. The prices were right here and the happy hour was great. I tried the pork and chicken and it was above average. The fries were also great and steak fries. The onion strings were excellent. Overall great place recommend a stop.

Thoroughly enjoyed the ribs and entire dinner. Service good, no wait. Nice menu variety. Would go back again.

The place is great! Love the ribs, Vanessa the hostesses is very polite, nice and welcoming. You don’t see that around anymore. I recommend this friendly place with your family !

Great good, fun atmosphere and decent service. The only negative experience I had was our waitress seemed to be in a less than stellar mood. She wasn’t horrible just not the happiest of people I’ve ever met. Anyway the food was fantastic! Great flavors, decent portions and prices. Many other tables were offered some sort of ‘bbq chip’ to sample as the looked at the menu but we weren’t, not sure if it was because it was just myself and my child or what. Had the burnt tips appetizer ohhhh goodness what a treat! My daughter had ribs that fell of the bone practically and my pulled pork was scrumptious. Next time we are in the area we will be stopping by!

This is a family favorite when I come to visit Portland. The family feast for 2 generously served the 3 of us and we had leftovers to send home for others who couldn't make it to dinner that night. The ribs are fall off the bone tender, the baked beans are excellent, plus coleslaw, corn on the cobb, cornbread, and a ton of jo-jo potatoes all for only $56 - which is a bargain in today's economy!

We had never eaten here before, so we decided to try it. The menu was typical, and the food was mediocre. The staff was what you would expect for Oregon. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the menu clearly, so my husband didn't realize there were jalapeños in the mac and cheese, which was a horrible combination. We can definitely cook better than what we ordered. The lighting where we sat was quite dim. They offered to move us to a booth that was slightly brighter, but we could see a beautiful, well-lit room on the other side that we weren't seated in. We often get placed in the worst spots. Thankfully, more In-N-Out locations are opening up here, as we rarely go out due to previous unpleasant experiences and a lack of customer service. Bar food just isn't cutting it for us.

Yummy is what best describes the couple of times we have dined here. Forego the silverware and dig in, this is comfort food and so worth it! Leave some place for dessert, you wont be disappointed!

Last night before catching a plane out of Portland, we grabbed a meal at this Daves. The BBQ was excellent. I especially liked the sweet corn and beans for sides. The service was excellent. The beer and wine lists were extensive in their offerings.

We put off eating here because we thought it was a pile of meat, and it could be if you wanted, but there were other great options to put barbecue sauce on. First the appetizers; barbecued nachos and fried catfish fingers were especially good. You also get thick fried potato chips to taste the 6 different sauces from sweet to very hot. I had a salad with pulled chicken it was so fresh and flavorful with lots of extra barbecue sauce from the bottles on the table. Pulled pork and burgers were good as was the ColeSlaw. Skip the corn bread. Nice beer selection.

Good BBQ and good portions. My wife and I shared a meal of St Louis ribs. It comes with 2 sides, so we were able to chose what each of us wanted. We had driven to Portland after work, and they are open until 10, so this is a good place for a late meal.

Went for happy hour for a beer and quick bite while waiting to pick up family at PDX. Fairly busy for Thursday evening. Good selection of beer on tap. The Sinister Black by 10 Barrel brewing was perfect to go with BBQ buddies and Fry's. Two perfectly made sliders of choice, pork pieces and Brisket. There is also shredded chicken. Along with small perfectly cooked potato wedges. There are 6 types of sauce from mild to hot and all so good. Good place to cool off and enjoy a beverage and snack or full meal. The staff is attentive and courteous. If you like BBQ and you have not tried you need to put it on your list.

Very friendly staff. And the food was as great as our visit 3 years ago. Husband's favorite was burnt ends but I always go for the pulled pork - at least once. On the second visit this trip he tried the potato soup and said that it was excellent, and he is a potato soup lover. Sweat tea is a delight and to top your meal, try the bread pudding but be prepared for a giant sized serving. I took my left over and had it in the motel room, a quick zap in the micro and yum! Since my husband is in a wheelchair, they placed us at a table and pulled that chair. And they helped with the doors. A plus.

Another couple was visiting in town so we took them to Famous Daves. We all had the brisket and it was much better this time than the last. At least it had a small smokey flavor in it. The meat was tender. The beans are excellent. Our waiter was excellent.

I have eaten in Famous Dave's from Virginia to Oregon and they are as consistent as any place I have been. Always good food and service.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, the service was great as well. I eat ALOT of BBQ and he brisket is my favorite. I have NEVER had brisket like this before. The texture of the meat was like a process brisket roll very weird. Iam use to walking into a real BBQ joint and smell of the smoke going. The ribs taste like it was baked. The burgers were great. This is not a real BBQ joint. I know the difference. Was disappointed.

I've been to other Famous Dave's restaurants, but this is my favorite. The food, staff, and location all great. If flying out of town or returning, this is a great stop on the way. It is located a few minutes from PDX, or I-205 at the Oregon boarder to Washington. For $75, two friends and I shared the feast (not sure of name in menu, feeds 4-6) and pretty much finished it off. We took a little away, but if you're hungry you shouldn't run out of food. We are all big guys, so you can judge your group on that or how much they normally eat. They have several flavors of bbq sauce you can add for more juiciness, but i personally didn't need any. The staff was great. I had a coupon for my birthday, but it had expired a few days before. They honored it anyway. So if you love bbq, stop in at any Famous Dave's. I will be back to this one.

Wish we had this restaurant close to us. It was the best meal, BarB Que ribs that melted in your mouth. But the absolute must is have their bread pudding for desert, never had anything that tasted so good, melts in your mouth, you can't get enough. Huge serving as well

While looking for a place to go for Father’s Day we discovered that Goldies BBQ in Vancouver was temporarily closed due to lease issues. We looked on Trip Advisor for an alternative and found Famous Dave's BBQ with mostly good but some mixed reviews so we decided to take a chance. We are so very glad we did!!! We arrived and were told there would be a 35 minute wait. We sat down to study the menu. Less than 15 minutes later our booth was ready and we were ready to order. Heather delivered our drinks immediately and our order arrived less than 5 minutes later. The full rack of baby back ribs was huge and delicious! The Georgia shredded pork melted in our mouths. The corn bread muffins were so good we ordered 6 more. Heather delivered more ice cold waters with lemon well before we drained the first ones. The sides of pineapple steaks, Wilbur beans, garlic red-skinned mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli were all yummy. Before we could ask Heather to send the manager so we could compliment the excellent service and delicious food Blair the manager showed up at our table and had a leisurely conversation about how she had prepared her team for their busiest day. She is an amazing leader and successfully inspired all to treat every guest as if they were their own aunt or uncle. A most delightful Father’s Day ! We will definitely come again!

Best smoked ribs I have ever had. As an Australian, this is my second trip to Famous Dave's. Both times exceptional ribs, smokey, tender, and flavorsome. Will be my first stop next time I am in Portland.

Got there mid evening tired & hungry after driving from Seattle & a long dog walk at Sandy River and given the location wasn't expecting much, but the ribs were to die for good, the corn bread & salad were excellent & the service was fast & super-friendly. Fine dining it isn't but great barbecue it definitely is

Tried this place twice for dinner. Had three meat combo first night, way too much for one person so had good lunch leftovers. Had smoked ribeye second night. Found the portions to be very good, well prepared and reasonably priced. Service was prompt and place was busy both nights. Would go again and recommend to anyone who likes meat.
You call this BBQ?
I don't usually write very negative reviews, but after dining here, I really have to. I stopped in to eat dinner since traffic was bad on my way home from work. So, I sat at a table, the hostess was courteous and kind. When the waitress came over, I ordered a two meet combo with the brisket and the boneless wings with mashed potatoes, broccoli and a beer. I have had good brisket, but this was not that. it was lacking in flavor and had the texture of an overcooked steak. No tenderness at all. the boneless wings were overcooked and flavorless, except for the sauce they were drenched in. I have had better (and more) potatoes from a TV dinner. If that wasn't all, when I finished my beer, it sat empty on the table for 20 minutes while I was trying to flag down the waitress or the manager, who both walked by my raised hand several times while I was thirsty. I finally walked around and found another waitress, who just said 'let me find your server'. She finally came out with a second beer and said 'I didn't know you wanted another". which, in my opinion, is the job of the server to ask. So, bad food, bad service. I am 100% sure I will never set foot inside another Famous Daves'.. I recommend that you do not either, if you are looking for BBQ. Unless you thinks swanson makes the best.
