Chubby Choy's

By inzane44 |

Went with my son while car shopping nearby. Had the duck bao sandwich and some potstickers. All very good but not fantastic. The sauce for the potstickers had a vinegar type flavor which was different but good. Son had chicken teriyaki, it wasn't very good. The noodles that are recommended were good. Overall is was something different but don't know if I'd make a special trip.

Hidden gem off the strip

By Carol2210 |

Featured on a TV diners show, this cafe inside the Eureka casino in Vegas is a real gem. The servings are generous and everything we tried was tasty. The feature of the day was salmon with a shrimp skewer and fried rice was perfectly grilled and our friends had the duck leg on rice which they rated as delicious. The serving staff were attentive and helpful. We always try and make it to this spot on our trips to Vegas.

Found this place last time

By The Allens |

Found this place last time I was in town and it had not disappointed me yet. The Fat Choy burger is on point with flavor and taste but be prepared it can get messy

GREAT FIND near the Strip

By Barry W |

We were thrilled with the food at this American/Asian inexpensive restaurant. We had an incredibly flavorful pork belly Bao, an outstanding loaded Burger, a wonderful tofu Bao, and eclairs . What a treat! Plus the parking was protected and the service was friendly and informative. We thought that everything we ate was healthy and delicious.

Best Dive in Las Vegas for food

By richp702654 |

How can I say it, you just can't miss with anything ordered here! The Fat Choy Burger is one of the Best EVER!! Like grilled cheese? Here you get one with a short rib included. Duck and pork belly asian samys are a wonderful bite. The duck bowl-WOW! The place is in an older but remodeled casino which caters to locals. Guard outside in the parking lot, so neighborhood slightly dicey. Restaurant has bit of a 50's theme going on, but clean and ready to serve you some of the best cheap bites!

Delicious Food in a Locals Casino

By FelipeAZ |

We visited Fat Choy on August 12, 2016 for lunch. It was delicious! I'd seen them profiled on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Their Pork Belly Bao is excellent and flavorful and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese is amazing! This is definitely a hidden gem in Las Vegas. If you're looking for reasonably priced, tasty food and want to try something off the Strip, then this is the place to go!

Short rib grilled cheese!!!!

By MicheleTheOT |

This was an excellent sandwich, served with thin tasty french fries. Didn't know it was in a casino so we passed it initially. The hamburger with egg on top was also good! Would go back!

Surprising Gem in a Locals Casino

By jcstich |

I was made aware of Fat Choy in an episode of DDD. Everything looked so good on TV, but I was a little apprehensive about it being in the Eureka locals casino. The last time I was in the casino, I was not impressed with the lighting, smell, or cleanliness. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in, The casino was brighter, fresh smelling (except around smokers), and clean. Fat Choy is on one side of the casino. I was very pleased with the appearance - very bright and clean. I had a hard time choosing between the Fat Choy Burger and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. I settled on the short rib grilled cheese. The customer is offered choices with the sandwich; type of bread (white, wheat, or sourdough- I picked sourdough) and side (fries or salad- I picked salad with bleu cheese and balsamic dressings). The meal was fantastic - and quite filling. I was very surprised by the very friendly and efficient service. They really seem to care about the customers and want to make sure you are happy. One very nice added amenity is free wifi. I will definitely return, if for no other reason than to try the Fat Chow Burger.

Great food in old casino

By mail4cindyr |

The food is a consistent 4.5. The lower score is simply based on the grungy old casino it is in. From the bao to the steak and eggs, we enjoy breakfast here monthly!

Award winning

By westie2 |

It had a been a few years since we last dined at Fat Choy so we joined another couple to dine there for the Sunday, all day brunch. We greeted by Jenny Chou, the owner, who seated us at a table for 4. Jenny's husband, Sheridan, recently won a Las Vegas wide competition for best wings and also has been nominated for the James Beard award for Best Chef - West. My wife and I decided to share orders of the chicken wings and a short rib grilled cheese sandwich. The latter turned out to better than I remember. Being the thrifty sort, I used a Las Vegas Advisor 2 for 1 coupon.

Mmmmmm Wings

By lisathayne0702@hotmail.com |

They have the best hot wings I have ever eaten any where! Just the right amount of heat. The flavor is unlike any other! Fat Choys is a must if you are in Vegas!

PHAT PORK BAO!!!

By Saskatoonmd |

If you happen to be staying at the north end of the strip and would like your fill of delicious pork bao-this is the place to go. This restaurant has the distinction of being featured in Guy Fieri's Diner, Drive-Ins and Dives. Don't let the outside Eureka Casino discourage you from trying this place, the restaurant is clean and bright. Servers were cheerful and helpful. Would definitely recommend the Pork Bao, along with the Peking Duck Bao and Rib Grill Cheese Sandwich. So good, went back twice while in Las Vegas!

Simple, nothing special

By C-Z-1982 |

Had meeting with some business people. Good service, limited menu. Food was reasonable, but nothing special really. I would not return.

Good, not great, food but slooow service

By GaryN |

Went there based on DDD. The food was good, but not awe-inspiring and reasonably priced. We were disappointed in the time it took to get our order. The place was only 25% full, but it took almost an hour to get our food. The server was apologetic, even the cook came out to apologize and promised our food would be ready soon, but it took another 20 minutes after that.

Bao wow!

By Casey P |

1st time trying Bao, and was delicious! We tried pork belly & duck. The soft buns are so delicate, and doesn't distract from the perfect meat & Asian sauce. Our server recommended duck rice; white rice cooked in duck fat with a perfectly cooked leg & dressed salad. We also had the homemade potstickers & spring rolls. It was all delicious, and reasonably priced!

Surprising contrast between

By FranciscoMDPAmaral |

Surprising contrast between the casino and the restaurant. A well kept secret in Vegas where you eat very well and the service is top

Excellent Food

By Broadsword2016 |

My wife and I really enjoyed supper here this evening. Taste was superb and portion sizes were generous. Overall I give this restaurant a complete 5 star rating. This kind of perfection is rare. I liken it to the excellent campaign of Donald Trump and the stellar performance of Mike Pence in his debate tonight. Pat (Canadians for Trump)

Decent food, something a little different

By Slpkim6 |

My husband and I stopped here for something different. It's a small dining area inside the Eureka Casino. The entire Casino has a smoke smell to it. It didn't bother us but it may bother some. My husband tried the crab BAO of which he enjoyed. I ordered a cheeseburger which was average. There are only about 15-20 items on the menu, but they aren't your typical small diner items (with the exception of the cheeseburger .. 😊).

Great Food and Staff!

By emi21gett |

Food was amazing! It is a little hard to find, the Eureka Casino had no sign saying it was inside. But, never the less the short rib rice bowl was absolutely amazing!

Way Overrated

By rochbound |

Even though this was on Diners and Drive ins, it was obviously a paid endorsement. The pork belly bao was overdone and tough, served on a "pancake that was obviously 2 days old. The ribs were brined and parboiled beyond recognition. The meat lost all texture. It was like taking a bite of watermelon --- water (not juice) gushed in your mouth. Yuck

Great restaurant off the strip in Las Vegas

By Jr. F |

This hidden spot does not disappoint. Great food, great service and great prices. Highly recommend this place for lunch and their short rib grilled cheese sandwich. The great reviews of this place are spot on.

Funky good

By 007DAWG |

Doing a very interesting and high quality Fusion of Asian food combined with a traditional American Diner. It's a small place and the service was somewhat spotty and Confused , but the food was really good and I would definitely visit again.

Cozy little place

By tony s |

Cozy little place inside Eureka casino, very affordable, the grilled cheese sandwich is delicious, it will cure your hangover

Enjoyed the food, not so much the locale

By summerfun57 |

The food was great, and one the servers were really friendly; but if you are a non smoker beware. i understand it's Vegas and is smoking everywhere, but since this is a small casino, the smoke was very strong. If i ever go back i will take to go. But you should definitely try, and will not regret.

Great food and service

By advcards |

Some of the best service ever. Had the wonton soup stuffed with noodles and won tons. Short rib rice was also recommended. Highly recommend

A cool little diner off the strip

By Dkaljuvee |

I am not a big "Vegas" fan. Meaning, I only go there if I have to, and rarely do I ever step inside a casino when there. However, there is a little family owned casino off the strip that houses this funky little diner which will actually get me to walk through the gaming room on my own accord. The dƩcor is unique, think a mixture of Chinese lanterns, 1950's eatery booths, and 1990's cafƩ. Our server was a lovely person from Tennessee (don't think I've actually met anybody FROM Vegas) who was friendly and happy to help us decide what to get off the eclectic menu. We settled on the Pork belly Bao (absolutely delicious), Chinese Chicken Salad (very good as a main), and the Fat Choy Burger (almost too much for one person). There was a constant flow of people while we enjoyed our lunch, but we never felt rushed like I've experienced at other Vegas restaurants wanting to "turn" the table. I will definitely visit this place again next time I'm forced to go to this totally useless city in the middle of the desert.

Excellent Comfort Food at GREAT Prices!

By Kelly Marie N |

Everything you've heard about this place is true! Great comfort food, both Asian and American, with a great staff, and fantastic prices! This place is going to be a regular haunt for us!

Yummy Choy

By p f |

When we're in Las Vegas we make it a point to stop in and eat at Fat Choy's. This time we had two meals there, lunch and breakfast. Lunch menu - Pork Belly and Peking Duck Bao, potstickers, and Sesame noodles Bfast - Shortrib Grilled cheese and the Fat Choy breakfast

Walking distance from SLS

By Stephanie C |

Ordered the duck bao and sesame noodles. Both were fantastic! Service was excellent and super friendly. We stayed at SLS and the walk was maybe 10mins.

Best Burger ever.

By Debbie495 |

My husband said that this was the best burger that he has ever had. He could not stop raving about it. I had the short ribs grilled cheese sandwich. It was very good but definitely not a diet dish. The servers were very friendly. The location is in the Eureka Casino and I even won a little bit of money there. Bonus!

Hidden DDD Gem

By DrBru |

Always try to find Triple D restaurants in each city I visit. Several good ones in Vegas, but was happy to find this one. It is located just off the strip in the Eureka Casino. We happened to be there on a night the husband and wife owners were working. They and their staff were friendly and attentive. The food is an amazing mashup of American and Asian favorites. Carefully prepared food was fresh and hot. We had a bacon burger, spring rolls and a noodle bowl. Nothing left in our plates when we were done. Small selection of Asian Beers including Lucky Buddha.

Terrific!

By veteran11 |

We found Fat Choy from a coupon in the Las Vegas Advisor coupon book. Thank you LVA. What great food, and friendly service. The potstickers were delicious. We also tried the wonton soup which was good. A lighter soup than traditional Chinese. The sesame noodles are soooo good. They have a delicious spicy kick. We also had the terakyi chicken rice which was also a nice size bowl with fluffy white rice. The food was fresh and not overly seasoned which allows the flavors to really speak to your tastebuds. Remember this is not your traditional Chinese food but an American fusion of flavors. The waitresses are really so nice and made us feel relaxed and welcomed. Also, there is nothing "seedy" about the Eureka casino. It is NOT smoke filled as you might have read in the other reviews. It is clean and the people were polite and friendly. You will be glad you found this place.

Hop, skip and jump from LVCC

By Sarah M |

I was looking for good food a short distance from the Las Vegas Convention Center where I could meet up with my husband for lunch while I was at a trade show for my job. I came across a write up for Fat Choy and I’m so happy we decided to try it. The restaurant is located inside a free standing casino so it wasn’t immediately identifiable from the street. Go around back to the parking lot and you’re there. Dumplings, spring rolls, rice bowls, bao. YUM! We tried them all. Obviously known to locals, there was a steady stream of customers and the servers were hopping. The only drawback was that the smoke from the casino wafts into the restaurant so I went back to work smelling like an ash tray. Next time in Vegas I plan to go back - I’ll bring Febreeze.

Very good food

By Carlos M |

I really enjoy the meal. The food is good and the lady was very helpful. The desserts where amazing.

Best grilled cheese "EVER"

By Craig B |

Another Triple D place that should be on your list. In an out of the way location but worth the trip if you want a great grilled cheese and fries for lunch. I had the Short Rib grilled cheese and without a doubt it was the best ever. The meat was so tender and tasty and brought the grilled cheese to a whole other level. The wait were friendly and made sure you felt welcomed. It's in the Eureka Casino, enjoy.

The place for fun buns!

By KonaJoe14 |

So...went here because we heard it had the best belly bao buns, Baby! We were not let down one bit... Its a kitcschy-sorta-small-ish dive in a kitschy-sorta-very-small-casino on Sahara, off the strip....very friendly service...short menu. Had to try the pork belly bao. Oh my! The other reviews DO NOT lie (take THAT Ted Cruz!) ; ) If youre in the mood to explore a bit, and want to sample less-expensive options than the typical strip joints, give this place a shot. You might be pleasantly surprised. J

A new must go..

By Debbie M |

A new must go.. The hotel Eureka may be a put off, but don't let the local hole in the wall casino put you off.  The venue is not as bad on the inside as you would think from the outside.. And the restaurant is off to the side in the back of the casino.. so go, because the food is amazing.  Pork belly bao and duck fried rice were great, but the shortrib  grill cheese is was to the big winner.   Not to be missed.  Service is great. Made us feel at home.  Not to be missed

Best meal of our trip!

By jjacks70 |

This was our second time at Fat Choy. Last time we just had the pork belly bao and some fries. This time we got the pork belly bao (even better than the first time!) and also the short-rib grilled cheese, which I can't stop thinking about, it was soooooo good!! Hubby also got the wonton soup and added noodles? I think. He liked it. We will probably make a stop here every trip, the food is reasonably priced and delicious!!! Everyone should get over to Fat Choy and try it out!!

Food was great service not so great

By Norjeff2 |

The potstickers are great except when the waitress delivers them after your meal is over. When she brought out our dinners, we asked her where were the potstickers and she said she forgot to put the order in and could be out in 5 minutes. Well that did not happen. No apology for the mistake. I had the short rib grilled cheese and it was great. My son had the massive fat choy burger and it was cooked to perfection. Definitely a place to go visit.

Outstanding food at very reasonable prices.

By Kevin G |

This is our second year visiting Fat Choy. we are a bunch of friends who stay at the MGM Grand. There we ate at Craftsteak, Wolfgang Puck's, The Tap House and the Avenue. For overall quality of ingredients and taste, this was by far better than my meal at any of those restaurants (Crafsteak is good but costs 5X Fat Choy). The Pork Belly Bao is amazing - it is a must have. Also the best macaroni salad my buddy and I have ever had. I had the shortrib grilled cheese, it was the best grilled cheese I have ever eaten. My buddy felt the same about his Fat Choy burger. Finally I had the cheesecake, and it was as good as I remembered. Many times when you return somewhere, it does not live up to the great memories you had but this more than exceeded my great memories from the prior year. It is way off the strip in a small casino, The Eureka. It looks like a NJ diner inside, so not impressive at all. But it is clean, friendly service and has outstanding food. My buddy and I paid more for the round trip taxi ride than we paid for the meal. When you go to Las Vegas, do smoething different and try this place. If it were located in the MGM Grand, Wolfgang Puck's would be out of business

It's a fatty burger... I get it, it's not unique

By MrJoeG |

You can get a fatty burger at countless dive bars across the nation. Some of them will even put an egg on top, or short rib. This is not different. Yes, it's tasty, because it's full of fat. My plate had 3 tbsp of fat drippings on it when I was done. My wif'es duck rice was uneventful. The duck was tender, but did not have much flavor. I make duck at home often and I can do better. I guess this restaurant is cheaper than places on the strip, so that's a plus.

Great food off strip

By jasonc001 |

Very good spot for cheap eats and great food. It’s located in a low end casino off the strip but it’s for sure a great stop if you want good food off the strip. Of course had the pork belly bao and they were to die for! Cooked perfectly and seasoned/sauced well. I had the sesame noodles, which have no protein, and they were fantastic! Just the right amount of food. This is a must try.

Wonderful Surprise

By LonestarSpartan |

The day that we arrived in Las Vegas we were looking for some place to eat and saw that Fat Choy was close to where we were staying and got great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. The small restaurant is in the Eureka Casino. When we walked in around 7:45 p.m. there was nobody in the place which is always worrisome. However, we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and decided to sit at the bar so we could interact with the staff. We ordered the pork belly bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich and the short rib grilled cheese. The food was outstanding. Both dishes were delicious and were more food than the two of us could eat, so we had leftovers. The shoestring fries and a salad with blue cheese dressing we're all so wonderful. What more could you ask for great food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend Fat Choy if you're in the neighborhood. The casino isn't in the best part of town, so we got a taxi for the ride back to our place.

Think

By westie2 |

There is only one problem with Fat Choy's Sunday only brunch and that is, it is only served on Sunday, Yes, a real bummer for those of you who only visit Las Vegas mid-week. On the first morning of our recently concluded vacation we celebrated friends' first anniversary at this restaurant located in the filled Eureka Casino. 3 out of 4 ordered the Fat Benedicts while the 4th, my wife, went traditional by ordering the traditional Benedict. Think a pair of poached eggs, crispy pork belly, English muffin and perfectly executed Hollandaise sauce accompanied by roasted potatoes. My sole quibble was I forgot to request runny eggs when ordering so they were done a bit more than I prefer. Think delicious and think bargain since we were allowed to use a pair of 2 for 1 coupons from the Las Vegas Advisor. Think we will returning.

Food so good I'm sad I didn't finish it all

By Jam5150 |

This cute little restaurant just off the strip had a local/homey feel. The staff was wonderful, the service was rather quick, all the food looked delicious. I ordered the typical fat choy burger because why wouldn't you order that the very first time? It was amazing. It hit every taste bud in my mouth and then I washed it down with a rootbeer float. Soooo good. I was actually sad i wasn't able to eat the whole thing, although I did try. Watched part of the UFC fight on the TV and relaxed a bit after my meal before I headed back into the chaos that is Vegas.

Hidden in a Casino, Great food and service

By geeneou5 |

I came to the place after seeing it on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Definitely a hidden ā€œdiveā€ located off the strip in a small casino. The food and service were great. The menu had a lot of unique selections. My server recommended the burger, so I went with that which was very good. I would visit again.

Literally, A Hole in the Wall

By Ronald B |

That is the title they have in this great place. Friends keep talking about this place, so decided to go. Simple menu and the best Asian Fusion in the world. The servers were friendly, restaurant was clean and the food.... Can't stop talking about it. I will definitely go back to eat!!!

A Hidden Gem and Worth Getting off of the Strip for

By Randy R |

It's not easy to find Fat Choy, you need your GPS and some good eyesight and also a certain level of bravery. But once there the food is absolutely delicious and will have you jonesing for pork belly buns the rest of your trip. We went one night based on the recommendations of Diners Drive ins and Dives and we were not disappointed. Tucked inside an unassuming small local casino several blocks east of the strip, this restaurant features made from scratch almost everything including the pork buns and several types of street tacos. We had the chicken tacos as well as the pork belly buns and they were also delish. Prices are very reasonable compared to any eatery on the strip. Don't let the neighborhood scare you, we felt quite safe. The casino is smoking but once inside the closed off restaurant it is non-smoking and they do a good job cleaning the airflow so you can't smell smoke once inside. We'll be back!

Oh Fat Choy brought me so much JOY

By SweetTeaLisa |

I saw this place on Diners, Drive In’s and Dives and knew I wanted to try it when I was in Vegas. It did not disappoint!! We got the potstickers- they were freshly made and delicious!! Then we split a Fat Burger. It was huge, but half was perfect for each of us. It was also made fresh to order! And every bite tasted amazing!! Sending Love from this Alabama girl! Thanks for the JOY Fat Choy!!

Insanely good!!!

By heavnlyharmony |

I love these places that DDD recommends, not only because they taste good, but they also often have really fun atmospheres. Fat Choy was one of those! We had the Pork Belly Bao (their most popular item) and it was so crispy and flavorful! Even our picky four-year-old gobbled her bite down! My husband got the Shortrib Grilled Cheese and it was fabulous. There is no question that the Shortrib was the star of the show...full of layers of flavors and super tender!!! The rest of the sandwich just highlighted it, but still very good. I chose the Shortrib bowl and wanted the full experience of the fried egg on top. Boy am I glad!!! It totally pulled all the flavors together! The acidic vinegrette from the mixed greens and the sweet of the Shortrib and that deep egg yolk taste...all mixing together it was a true party in my mouth!!! Every now and then I’d get a bite of sweet tomato to give a burst of flavor or a cucumber crunch that would spin it a whole new direction. I felt like was on this wonderful culinary roller coaster all in a single bowl! The rice was such a perfect pallet for it all to be on too...it absorbed all the party action and kept it going for much longer. Such a fun time!!! Our daughter had a little party with sides of jasmine rice (super fluffy...but sticky enough that it made a nice little mountain for her to land her other side on)...and Chinese sausage. It was perfect for her and she had such fun. We were stuffed, but hey we are on vacation, so we got a bowl of chocolate crunch ice cream that was actually really good. I got a Carmel Apple pie to go and it was super unique too. It reminded me of a bar cookie on as the crust and took on like a bread pudding consistency with the tender apples covered in cinnamon-y goodness. The Carmel was like a custard topping! You really can’t go wrong here...be ready for a party!!

Delicious

By Flyin Ryan |

We stopped here for a quick after arriving. We had heard of this place on Guy Fiery DDD. We tried the pork belly bao bun and the short rib grilled cheese and some loaded fries. Everything was very good, and Tammy Jo a great server.

Very smoky

By Strat84Jojo |

Service was great, our lunch was very good. But I could not stand the smell of cigarettes smoke, but then again it’s inside a small casino, that our fault for choosing this restaurant. Will not come back because of the air quality

I cannot wait to go back!!!

By mrstrump |

We were here two years ago and again yesterday. Still as awesome as we remembered. We had the potstickers, chicken wings and short rib grilled cheese. Everything was delicious beyond words. I really want to try something else, but I love what we had so much I don't know that I can't order the bites of perfection of what we had. The service is also friendly and caring, something that can be lacking in this town. Fat Choy alone is worth the trip to Vegas. YUM!!!!!

Dive location means it's fabulous

By p f |

All I have to say is .... you must eat here. The food was fantastic. The Teriyaki chicken was served in a large bowl with rice and a salad. The short ribs likewise and both were wonderful. We also had the Peking duck ..... yummm had to order another one

Authentic and Lives Up to the Reputation

By Andres C |

A lot of places make their reputation on one signature dish, and many times that signature dish doesn't live up to the reputation. Fat Choy's signature pork buns EXCEEDED my expectations. Our only regret was only ordering them once. In addition, the other dishes we almost as good, and all worth trying. Also, the old school small casino restaurant vibe was very much a complement to the food.

Good not great

By cglynn724 |

Had potstickers and short rib grilled cheese. Food was good, potstickers were a little greasy. Grilled cheese was solid. Tomato dipping sauce added nice balance. Pork belly bow was good as well.

Very good food!

By Steven M |

Out of the way, almost hole in the wall, but so so so delicious! Pros - Unique and flavorful dishes Cons - Price for portion size is a bit more spendy - Location is out the way - Not a large selection

A DINING GEM IN VEGAS

By Maria F |

I’d read about Chef Sheridan and Fat Choy and they did not disappoint. A true gem amongst the hotels and other restaurants. This yummy place should be on your dining list. We had the PBBLT, short rib grilled cheese, ribs and chicken, all served up with a great waiter and thankful chef.

Great Late Lunch

By David A |

Had each of the 3 bao and wings for appetizer. Wings were excellent as was the pork belly bao. Burger was also solid.

Pork Belly BAO

By Hombresg33 |

Best pork belly bao i've ever had! Nice little hole in the wall no frills joint. Servers were attentive and friendly. I guess this place started off inside a hair salon but got too busy and started a food truck eventually leading them to open this restaurant. Only con is that its in a small casino that is a little smokey but then again this is Vegas

Fat Choy is my go to local spot for Bao and everything yummy.

By traciemacau |

Fat Choy is located inside the Eureka Casino, it's a local casino that is smoky and just a little sketchy. Mark my words, your taste buds will thank you; so don't hesitate on your food journey. The restaurant is clean and the service is great. My favorite is the Pork Belly Bao, so tasty this Asian comfort food. The Short Rib rice and mustard Greens is a lot of food two tender short ribs and the gravy is finger licking good. My husband doesn't eat much meat and especially not pork, so the sesame noodles are his favorite and mines too. The couple who own the cafe are warm and welcoming. I have followed them from the beauty salon location, to the food truck to the Eureka Casino. It's been a foodies delight the journey. The desserts are awesome if you have space!!!

Tasty for what it is

By Mark O |

Golf buddy picked this after some online research. Close to the strip but not convenient to walk to unless you're in SLS/Circus Circus area. . .parking plentiful at the Eureka casino where it's located. We had a reservation on a Saturday night but didn't really need one- handful of people there at 7:30 p.m. Server very friendly and quick- she recommended the pork bao sandwich which was very good- pork belly was meaty rather than fatty- I don't like the 90% fat pork bellies. Also had the Peking duck bao which was good, but the duck meat portion was small for the sandwich size. Fries were decent enough. Buddies who went with the burgers said they were good. A buddy who hit a $3000 slot the night before picked up the tab which was a quite reasonable $147 pre-tip for 5 guys with beers all around, naturally. My only real beef with the place is the atmosphere- the lighting is fluorescent and bright and it has the cheap-diner feel and decor. Probably it's best suited for a lunch or a late-night snack (although they're not open that late) rather than dinner- ymmv of course.

Pork Belly Boa

By Oneleft |

Went to Vegas for 5 days...ate here twice. The Boa with pork belly were super as well as the duck. Also had the soups and sesame noodles also great. Very friendly waitstaff...

Good Food!

By Susan G |

We were drawn to this place because we like to check out places Guy Fieri of Diners Driveins and Dives has tried. It is a small diner in a casino - they grew up on a food truck and now have this little place. We were a group of five (siblings and spouses) and we each tried different dishes and everything we ordered was good. One person had fish and chips and the batter was thicker than he likes but the cod was good. We shared the pork belly bao taco for an appetizer and that was our favorite among the five of us. One had a short rib grilled cheese which was quite tasty. One had the Fat Choy salad with mandarin oranges and she liked it a lot. Another had the house cheese burger which was flavorful. The last one had their signature burger topped with a fried egg and he said it was excellent. You have to go through the small casino to get to it so it may not be a place to take your kids but the food was good!

Unique and fun

By Vegaslov |

This was on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives for a reason. I've never had Bao before but we will certainly be back for it! Had the Pork Belly Bao, Duck Bao and Potstickers. All great. If you are expecting something fancy keep looking. This is cute, sassy and fun. The food is great. The staff was very friendly. If you are looking for a fun unique experience make the trip.

Fat Choy lunch for locals!

By acoach |

For locals near downtown, this IS the place to eat casual lunches or dinners with friends or business colleagues. Pork Belly Bao is the must have dish. I love the short rib rice for dinner and short rib grilled cheese for lunch. My vegetarian friends love the sesame noodle dish. Overall, this is the diner you can enjoy a couple of times per week. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Hidden gem that you can't miss if you want a great meal at a great price.

Great vibe great food

By christine c |

The service was great made you feel at home, loved the mural that told the story. The food was outstanding I had the teriyaki chicken it was so good and the Mac salad was incredible. My husband had bacon cheeseburger with their special sauce which was awesome.

Excellent Food & Excellent Service

It's an unexpected place with excellent food! I will definitely be back to have the grilled cheese and the pork belly bao.

Fabulous food almost ruined by poor service.

By Abbi G |

My husband and I saw this place on DDD and put it near the top of our "must try" list. We arrived about 8:30 on a Saturday night and looks like we missed the dinner rush, which was nice. There was only one other table seated. We were greeted quickly and with good energy. We ordered our drinks which took a few minutes as a few more customers trickled in. There were only 2 servers and one was definitely new. Our order was taken timely and we were ready to try the Pork Belly Bao and the Short Rib Grilled cheese. Above all, the food was soooo yummy. I immediately started picking out choices for our next visit. Here's where the service went downhill. Once our food was down we didn't exist anymore. Our drinks weren't refilled until after we had finished. Neither server came back to check on us. Our to-go box was too small for our leftovers. We then thought it would be easier to take our check to the counter, since she didn't seem to be coming back. As my husband stood in front of her, credit card in hand, she walked away to check on tables (scoping ours as she walked by). Then she nicely rang us up and we were out. The food is fabulous! I just hope this evening was a fluke. We will definitely give this hidden little gem another try for sure.

Limited Menu and Pricy

By David L |

The menu is limited, containing a few Asian and American dishes. A meal for two cost $30 without drinks (we had taken our cocktails from the casino). I ordered spare ribs fried rice and received a bowl of roast beef with gravy on top of white rice. Inside the bowl was a salad with what taste like a balsamic vinegar dressing, the taste was awkward with the rest of the meal. The server was awesome, you could tell she really enjoyed her job.

Hole in the wall treasure

By Stephanie D |

This little gem is a hole in wall restaurant located in the Eureka's casino. The restaurant is small and delicious. There was 7 of us and we were seated right away. We each got something different and they were all delicious (Fat choy burger, bacon cheese burger, braised beef grilled cheese sandwich, pork belly bao). The casino in which it is located is small but clean. We played there after eating. Definitely recommend this place.

Expectation Too High

By TibetVisitor |

Based on mostly very good reviews, wanted to try this place for a long time. Cannot say we were dissatisfied, but sure expected ,but sure expected more. 5 of us ordered Pork Belly Bao, Short Rib Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Short Rib Rice, and Won Ton Soup. The sandwiches were better than average, Bao cannot compare with other restaurants, Won Ton Soup was definitely below average. Service was decent, but waited for quite a while for the food.

Outstanding food - too bad it's in a smoky casino

By LstMntTrvl |

The food here is really, really good. I was blown away. We had potstickers and Pork belly Bao to start with - outstanding. I then had the duck & rice - also very good. My daughter had the short rib and grilled cheese sandwich - loved it. My son had the chicken teriyaki and rice and loved it too. Really good food. And very friendly service. Here's the big downside - it's located in a smoky casino and the cigarette smoke wafts into the restaurant. Really is a bit of a downer. If you are sensitive to the smell of cigarette smoke you won't like it here. That's why I can only give it four stars. If it were located somewhere else, it would be 5.

Great Updated Dim Sum at RockBottom Prices...

By LHOVancouver |

This Hidden spot in the Eureka Casino (a few blocks West of Lotus of Siam and East of SLS), is not the first place you would think of finding updated Dim Sum. But here you have it. It is Vegas after all. Staff are friendly and the Food is well executed for the lunchtime. The Dumplings and Pork Buns were excellent. This is tasty stuff. And prices could not be better. The Desserts were are also incredibly priced at between $3-6/dessert. I ordered two including the Peanut Butter Moose and Velvet Cake. A little sweet, but very good none the less. I recommend this place if you're in the neighbourhood. Decor is homey/diner style…adequate but when you see the Casino this might be the nicest interior design…I understand Dinner menu is same as Lunch. And weekend evenings suggest reservations. Good luck and enjoy!

Disappointing Meal Despite Being Featured on TV

By Maggie |

I saw this place on Guy Ferreri's show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" when I was in Vegas. Plus this place has good ratings on multiple review apps. So we decided to give it a try on our last day, 12/31/2017. One good thing about Fat Choy is that it's almost never closed. It was opened until 10PM on New Year's Eve!!! It's a 10-min walk from the last stop of the Monorail (SLS stop), or a short Uber ride away from the busy part of the Strip. Service was good, our waitress was nice. + Good selection of alcoholic drinks (it's in a Casino duh!!) + The pork belly bao was pretty good , tender meat (fatty but that's how I like it) with good flavor. First thing I noticed was that there was no ground peanuts (stated on the menu and in the show). But things went downhill from there because the other dishes were disappointing. - Out of duck fried rice - Mushroom noodle with Chinese sausage and a fried egg was drenched in a super sweet sauce. I know I'm eating Americanized Chinese food but still I can see how people can enjoy this sweet sauce with little flavor. - Grilled cheese with short ribs that was highly recommended on the show) came with a lot of shredded beef, but I didn't taste the onion jam (which the waitress informed me was mixed in with the short ribs) and the flavorful was just lacking. I hope my experience was just an exception (why else the raving reviews from other people?!) because it was the last day of the year and people who were working just wanted to go home early. But based on my experience I would not recommend this place to anyone and would not go back myself either.

Shortrib Grilled Cheese & potstickers Awesome

By Norjeff2 |

This small restaurant in the Eureke Casino has a small but diverse menu. The place probably holds 30. Saw this on 3D on Food Network with Guy Fieri. We ordered grandma's pork and chive dumplings as an appetizer. Strangely, it came at the same time as our entree. There are five potstickers and a flavorful dipping sauce. Very fresh. Best potsticker I ever had. My wife ordered the sesame noodles which are vegetarian. You can order how spicy they are. They come with five different mushrooms. She said they were excellent and the noodles are clearly homemade. I had the short rib grilled cheese with provolone and cheddar cheeses on sourdough bread. Delicious. The bread was cooked perfectly. The short rib was flavorful and tender. It comes with fries or salads. The waitress, Emily, was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. She said that Penn and Teller, Terry Fator and others come here because it is off the beaten path. My son had the Fat Choy burger with bacon, cheddar, short rib and an egg on it. It comes with fries or salad. He said it was very good. Although we drank water, there is a choice of over 100 sodas to choose from. They also serve beer and wine. Overall, the food was delicious at a reasonable price. The four entrees with the potstickers cost $60 with tax and tip.

Awesome Food

By Jacob T |

Definitely a hole in the wall restaurant but worth it. Had the short rib grilled cheese and it was amazing! Food was extremely fresh and it didn't take long to get my meal.

Off the beaten path

By MrsSteen17 |

Watched this DDD episode and decided I wanted to go here! The food was good... Different than typical Vegas! We went later at night so it was not crowed! There is really a local feel here! I got the veggie sesame noodles and added chicken! It was yummy and fresh tasting! Other things order where the dumplings, phlegm cheesesteak, and grilled cheese short rib! My husband does not like assign food so the cheesesteak was a good choice! Decor is really cute and I would recommend this to anyone who has a car who can drive off the strip!

Hole in the wall with good Chinese food

By Randie C |

Apparently it was a food truck before becoming a restaurant. Good for big bowls of soup, which I really needed that evening. Husband enjoyed the special - softshell crabs in bao - cheap and delicious!

Was a good lunch

By M B |

Went here because of a ā€œbest Vegas burgersā€ list and wanted to try off the strip. I got the fat Choy burger. Was tasty, good size, great personal service, and inexpensive. The place was small diner like and clean in the small Eureka casino. I only wish the bun was at least warmed or toasted. It was just straight out the bun package, but the burger and fries were fresh and made to order. I had no interest in the casino area. With a quick walk thru it looked like all 1cent slot machines. Was good to give a small local business some business.

FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE

By kamanojk |

I've eaten here before but the service and food was at best okay. On this go it was a far better visit as it involved friends from work. Had the wonton soup this time (I think I had a sandwich on the first go). Very tasty and the portion was quite generous. Our server was very enthusiastic and accommodating. I look forward to another visit with family and friends.

FOOD is Great!!

By Nancy A |

The food was fabulous - all of it, not a bit left on our plates or in our bowls. The service was slow - and especially with not many people in the restaurant. However, totally worth the wait.

Worth a visit

By Steve |

Saw this restaurant on "You should eat here" from Tironto Canada and decided to check it out while here in Las Vegas on vacation. The atmosphere is poor but the food was fantastic. We asked the server to suggest 2 items on the menu to eat for lunch...she suggested their signature grilled cheese and an appetizer since we claimed we weren't super hungry. Her choices were perfect. Prices were also good but certainly the food and service were above average. Will return!

This small restaurant turns out unusual and excellent food

By EveSp |

The the name Fat Choy, you might be expecting a traditional Chinese restaurant, but this isn't. Our group shared 5 different dishes and all of them were good, but very different from anything I had eaten before. I had never encountered a grilled cheese, short-rib sandwich before, but it was very good as was the chicken rice, sesame noodles, and the baos. The restaurant is family friendly with high chairs and crayons for the children.

What a hidden gem!

By CLRD4TO |

A $13 dollar Uber ride from the Paris Hotel took us to this fantastic little diner. Never judge a book by its cover, or a fantastic little restaurant by its location!! That plate of food and superbly cooked leg of duck was only $13!!!! As their seating sign says "Seating for 67 awesome people". Great service and extremely friendly.

Early Dinner

By Jay57 |

The restaurant was not we expected. Very small restaurant in a casino with a limited menu. Had the Chicken Terriakki Rice Chicken bowl. It was very tasty, lots of meat, nice salad a very flavorful. We also had the Spicy noodle bowl it was very tasty but no meat and not much food. Service was good and friendly.

Asian with a flair!

By mikempink |

You want unusual but good, try Fat Choy. We tried the Pork Belly Bao, Sesame Noodles, and Short Rib Grilled Cheese. It was all excellent but the Pork Belly Bao and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese were astonishing. Locate in the Eureka casino on Sahara, just east of the strip, it is well worth the stop. As good as it was, I have to go back soon to try the Fat Choy Burger and the Peking Duck dishes.

Outstanding!

By okop |

We were staying at the Sahara and seen this place on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives so this was definitely on our list since it was so close by. We decided to make an evening out of it and spend some of our money at the Eureka Casino. We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised by the decent, clean casino with good service! We then went into the restaurant and the friendliness of the server was outstanding along the FOOD! We were so happy we ventured over here - the food was delicious and so many other things we want to try. With the drink prices very good in the Casino and marvelous food I think we found our new go to place in Vegas!! Away from the strip. Without a doubt recommend!

Order the Baos!

By FamReview |

We went to check it out. It's in the Eureka Casino off the strip. The pork and Peking Baos were super delicious!!! We also ordered the sesame noodles and duck rice. Both were good compliment but we had to order more of the Baos. It was really tasty. The grilled pork cheese sandwich was great comfort food and lots of flavor! Will be back!

So So

By Keith S |

Stopped in for dinner. Place was empty Menu was very limited and what I would say a bit over priced for what you get. Short rib Grilled Cheese Sandwich was average at best and tasted more like roast beef and the Peking Duck Bao was nothing to rave about. The area that this place sits is not the best and even tho they have cameras and security guards not a safe feeling in the parking lot at all Don't think we'll be back

Great Burger

By mauiwolf |

My Fat Choy burger was outstanding. It was full of flavor and the patty was really thick and juicy. The French fries tasted like they bought them at McDonalds. It was odd, but good. My wife had the short rib grilled cheese. I thought it was kind of dry. They bring sone sort of homemade sauce for dipping. She liked it okay. I wasn’t super excited about it. I was glad I ordered the burger. We sampled some pork belly baos and they were tasty. The dough wasn’t as pasty as some I’ve had before, which was a good thing. They were very flavorful. The restaurant is open to the small casino. If the casino was busy I could see how the restaurant could smell like smoke. Thankfully, that was not the case during our visit. I was a little disappointed at the menu size. There weren’t a lot of interesting options, which probably explains why everyone posting reviews seems to have eaten the same things.

Disappointed

By Rich807 |

Saw on DDD. Was amp'd to try the grilled cheese. Hit it up the day after for lunch on a weekday. 1st thing when you go there is you get swacked in the face by that nasty old-school Vegas casino stench.... No matter if the casino is busy or not, it's there. That smell is inside the dining area to some degree (nothing they can do about it), so take that into consideration if that's not your thing. I changed my shirt as soon as I got home because it reeked of stale cigarette smoke etc. Dining room was only about 1/2 full but the service was unacceptably slow & inattentive. All factors considerd, it took too long to get our food. Then, the server never came back to check on us so we went without salt & pepper & then refills on our drinks. UNSAT. Additionally, nobody came to give us our check for 15-20 min (or more). Eventually one of the other waitresses got us our check. The entire lunch experience took so long we had to cancel a father/daughter event plan we had for later in the day. The food: short rib grilled cheese tasted more like butter & less like short ribs. The french fries underneath the grilled cheese were saturated in butter from the sandwich they were soggy. Wonton soup was ok but nothing special. I wanted to find this place to be a home run but it was a strikeout for us. Footnote: Eureka is located right next to a rough neighborhood. I would not be around here at night (even if the casino has good parking lot security).

Great Diner

By OriginReviews |

Set inside a small off strip casino the diner at Fat Choy was great, the staff were friendly and the burger was excellent, would recommend to anyone. Choices of Asian food also.

Yum Yum!

By ATYeung |

Fat Choy is fantastic little gem which is located discreetly inside Eureka Casino. Straight to the point, the signature pork belly bao is to die for. The accompanying duck bao and sesame noodles were also delicious. The service was friendly and genuine. This is an ideal, no fuss, easy going eatery. Would definitely return!

Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover

By Michelle R |

This place is totally off the beaten' path. I would have never gone into the casino this restaurant is located, but friends spoke so highly of the Fat Choy, we had to go. I was totally taken back by how delicious the food was. Grilled Cheese sandwich was killer! My husband could not stop raving about the duck bao. If you are taking kids, I would go earlier in the day.

Not what i was expecting

By Jacob P |

Somehow I thought I would find Asian food but it's straight to American fare. Decent burger for sure but you have to walk through a casino to get there.

Off the strip goodness

By mronquil |

We had seen cafe in food channel show. We had stayed a few days at strip hotel so it was time to head off the strip. Not in best part of town and little concerning walking into old neighborhood casino. Our opinions immediately turned when we sat down. The place was spotless and clean. You can tell waitress takes pride in cleanliness when she picked up straw wrapper immediately. Not your greasy cafe. All had grilled cheese all enjoyed. Love to make it back and enjoy the rest of menu.

Ok but somewhat on the high side and small portions.

By dilbertdenbee |

Had 2 orders of duck buns, potstickers, egg roll seemed like frozen and reheated. No beverages & no desserts, hubby had grilled cheese sandwich. Bill was about $50. recommended by casino patrons but wouldn't go back.

Holy cow this is great

By Renee V |

Saw this on triple D and had to try it. Located inside the Eureka casino, you wouldn't know this place exists . It's comfortable and super clean. The wait staff is tremendous and very helpful with the menu. We ordered the short rib grilled cheese and duck rice. We were like kids waiting for Santa Clause while we waited for the food to arrive. The aromas from the kitchen kept our anticipation high. Soon I heard the ding of the bell and the food arrived. Looking every bit delicious as I hoped. Omg!!!! Fantastic Flavors in every bit. It's hard to believe that you can get this kind of food at very reasonable prices. Get both items mentioned, you will not be dissapointed !!!!

Just great !!!

By Creeper523 |

We love to use Drive ins, diners and dives to fine new out of the way places and this place didn't disappoint. The service was good, the prices were reasonable and the food was outstanding. We were a little worry on the pork belly bao, by it was fantastic. Highly recommend for an out of way, off the strip eatery.

Don’t let the venue chase you away

By Debbie M |

Located in a small hole in the wall casino of Sahara is a hidden gem. I would call it more of a snack bar and a restaurant but it does have seating area the food is phenomenal. Known for their bio which is great.. but go for the short rib grilled cheese. Prices are good. Enjoy

holy mother of baos.

By Allie G |

Talk about melt in your mouth baos!! Want delicious baos? Come here!! My S.O and I ALWAYS go to Fat Choy when we're in LV. It's that good! The pork belly bao will melt in your mouth and be gone in seconds once it hits your mouth. The bun is so light and fluffy. The pork belly is cooked to perfection. Nothing is better than this! Ugh and then there's the peking duck bao! More melt in your mouth delight! A serious mouth-gasm.

Fantastic!

By FlashBack351 |

Five star for great food and wonderful service. The waitress was very attentive and a wealth of information about the menu. I had the Pork Belly Bao and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese Sandwich....Both were delicious! First time for pork belly and it was excellent, a great rich sauce and peanut butter flavor gave the Pork a great taste. Short Rib Grilled Cheese Sandwich was very tender.

Best food all vacation

By Boogiechln |

This place is great. Food is unbelievable. The bao and won ton soup were both extremely tasty. The chicken wings, however, made our meal. Fat and juicy with just the right kick and amazing flavor. Waitress was extremely attentive. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend this place to anyone in Vegas.

Okayish

By Vaneet Dadra |

The good was bit below average. I went there as it was one of the closest places with decent reviews. I think the people who rated it high, probably haven't been to Asian or american-asian place before. Pork buns were decent but we had hard time finishing the rice dishes.

Triple D!

By COLPeg |

After seeing this restaurant on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, I just had to go! I also opted for the short-rib grilled cheese sandwich. It was as good as Guy said it was! Cute place. Nothing fancy, very reasonable, and the staff is very friendly! I would definitely go back and try some other items!

Awesome!

By ViktorTrue |

Fat Choy's mashes up a dinner experience with Chinese/comfort food. Originally starting as a food truck, this little restaurant inside the Eureka Casino has pretty reasonably priced, very tasty food. I really enjoyed my short rib bowl (so tender and flavorful) and a side of fries was well worth the $2. The French fries were top notch McDonald's size fries. TIP: The entrance to the casino is around back opposite of Sahara, although the sidewalk steps and railings would make it seem like it is streetside.

Amazing

By Paul C |

Fat choy burger is the best burger you will ever have. And short rib grilled cheese is amazing. Friendly staff

The place to eat!

By shaneoot |

Another delicious meal @ a intimate setting. I ordered the Salmon bowl, large 6 oz tender and fresh. Sides of rice, salad, and macaroni. Price was very reasonable for the meal. I have eaten here @ 15 times, every meal a winner.

Great find!!

By DaddyDo82 |

Randomly came across Fat Choy and decided to check it out! Glad we went as the food was good and would have never thought this was in the odd small casino. Food had some good flavors and service was good.

Very Good

By Darren K |

There was a lot of expectations heading into this place(seeing it on tv & reading a lot of good reviews), so I was worried about a letdown. Not the case. The short rib grilled cheese was even better than expected. The atmosphere was very good too, as this felt like a genuinely happy place.

Worth the Trip

By Lillian M |

Came here for dinner based on Trip Advisor comments. The duck baos, pan fried dumplings, sesame noodles, chicken teriyaki rice, and wonton soup was all pretty good. Small restaurant located in the Eureka Casino. We took a cab to get here but had to call a cab to pick us up. Took a while for them to come....plan ahead if you don't drive a car.

Good Food and Friendly Servers in Loosest Casino in Las Vegas

By Laughyface |

I love Fat Choy, but it’s not the main reason I go there. It’s inside the Eureka Casino, and the Eureka hands down has the the best pay tables on lower limit video poker and video keno than any other casino in Las Vegas (and I’ve been to them all). That and easy parking and a very friendly staff make this my home away from home when in town.

Fantastic Burgers

By TravelinAlan |

A must for all burger lovers. One of the best in Las Vegas. A big, 8 oz., juicy, tasty flavorful burger that would cost at least twice as much at other restaurants in town. Includes a nice helping off thin cut fries. My server, Sarah, was outstanding. Just off the north end of the Strip. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

In the Eureka Casino: Chinese Name for American Food

By HardtoDissatisfy |

This place is a small restaurant located inside and to the east in the Eureka Casino. It has a Chinese name, but the food is American with a twist. I tried the Shortrib Grilled Cheese sandwich. The name describes it... except that it also has onion jam on it. I truly enjoyed the taste and the texture. The waitress told me that sandwich had been voted "the best sandwich in Las Vegas." Fact: "best" is subjective. It was a good sandwich, but "best" seems like hyperbola. The service was excellent and the food was good. I'll be going back to try other items on the menu, specifically the Cheese Stake Sandwich. This might be a good place to try, but be prepared for pricey sandwiches.

OMG this place is amazing!

By MrBrandonL |

Seriously, delicious! Totally out of the way in a tiny little casino this hidden gem is well worth a visit. It has some amazing food that won’t disappoint. Can’t believe they haven’t opened on the Strip it would be packed day and night! The pork belly bao was amazing, the short rib grilled cheese will make you slap your momma, and the Fat Choy burger will make you forget about your troubles and fill you with a sense of joy and love! Seriously, this place is a must visit on your next trip to Vegas for some delicious food! Totally lives up to its Diners Drive-Ins and Dive hype! We will be back!

Excellent experience

By jjacks70 |

I had read about Fat Choy and I saw this restaurant on Food Network and/or Travel Channel, so I wanted to try it out. I don't typically love different foods, but my husband does, so I wanted to try the pork belly bao, which I had read was really good. To be honest, nothing about it sounded good to me, but I do enjoy new experiences. We ordered the pork belly bao, which comes with 2 sandwiches and an order of fries. I enjoyed the bao, and hubby LOVED it!!!!! Neither of us had ever had pork belly, or bao, so we really didn't know what to expect. He hoped I didn't like it so he could eat both sandwiches lol. The fries were also excellent! We just stopped in for a quick snack to try this out, but we will be back! There are a few other items on the menu that we both want to try out. Can't wait to go back!

Still good but not as in the past

By UglyBuffalo |

Duck bao is still very good. Short rib mac & cheese was good but it’s been better. Still worth a stop while in LV.

Off the beaten path and worth looking for, I loved it

By WinStorm |

Great and unique Asian and American food. Awesome Root beer Floats. I really liked the pork belly sandwich. Service was excellent too. Kid friendly.

Super good as always

By SamandTaylor |

Love the pork belly bao. Love the Fat Choy burger. We hit up Fat Choy at least once, if not more often when we are in LV. Gotta go off the strip, gotta go into a smoky, local Eureka casino, in a sketchy part of town. It is fabulous, and reasonably priced for the high quality of food. Burger is gonna run about 12 bucks, the bao about 7, I think. Staff is friendly. Chef takes pride in his work. Addictive.

Take the Time to find this Gem!!!

By Leah Z 570 |

Cozy little diner type spot, well off the Strip in the Eureka casino (about a mile stroll off the Monorail SLS stop - great street views of the Stratosphere!). Never had bao before and our group of six LOVED it - even ordered seconds (pork belly and duck!) - everything we tried was a huge hit and our waitress was a doll!! Definitely recommend the Lucky Buddha beer as well!! Great dishes and no Chinese food revenge! Very fresh & delicious!! I recommend the sesame noodle bowl - fantastic!

Late dinner

By Kathy C |

All the reviews are spot on. Pork belly and hamburgers were amazing. Tonya will take of you. Ask for her!

Best New Foods During Vegas Trip Pork Belly BLT

By ChALUTCH |

Yes, they serve a pork belly BLT,incredible to say the least. We came to try their famous short rib grill cheese sandwich, which is as good as they claim but the blt was unforgettable.Located inside the Eureka casino in a lets say different part of town,go during the day this place is small and you will wait a little. The casino itself is very very small and smoke filled with locals not the type of place you want to gamble in,but do not let you miss Fat Choys great food.

Awesome Restaurant. A Hidden Gem.

By Michael S |

Small restaurant but the food in phenomenal. Had the Pork Bao and it was very tasty and can fill you up. Also had the short rib grilled cheese and that was delicious. Service was ok but it was almost time to close so they probably were cleaning and getting ready. Prices are fair and they have specials everyday which is great because their menu is on the small side. Would recommend the place to anyone that wants to try different food that is superb.

Worth the Trip off the Strip

By Adam M |

Some of the best dishes I've had in a long time. The bao buns weren't as good as I thought they would be, but everything else was to die for. Potstickers, short rib grilled cheese and the pork belly burger were incredible....I'm still thinking about the food months later. It is roughly a mile walk off the strip from Stratosphere/SLS. Stopped here twice during a 3 day trip! Staff was very friendly and attentive.

Fat Choy

By The Allens |

The Fat Choy burger is where it’s at cooked they way you want it and taste amazing at first I was a little skeptical but once I tasted it I’m glad I was wrong

Magnificent

By Ctj1580 |

Me and my roommate came by for our last day in las Vegas. The restaurant is an Asian American fusion. I had the short run grilled cheese sandwich. The bread had a great amount of butter and very cheesy. I have to say I love the presentation of the was the best.

Good food if you are gambling at Eureka Casino

By Frank B |

Somewhere I read that "Fat Choy" was the best "Cheap Eats" sandwich place in Vagas. That is simply not true. The sandwiches are good but nothing worth going out of your way for (we made a special trip just to eat there). Really good sandwich and hamburger but there are really good sandwiches and hamburgers all over Vegas.

Standout Baos

By Liz_Lemonade |

The reviews for Bao here are mostly on point. The pork belly was awesome - similar to momofuku, very tasty. The duck bao were good, a lot like dim sum duck/scallion bao. We also got the wonton soup, which had tomatoes and carrots and was pretty offputting. If we'd only had the bao, this would be an easy 4/5 or 5/5. At $7 for a plate of two bao, the prices are decent too!

Wonderful find here.......yummy bow sandwiches

By Kenneth Q |

Not sure how one spells "bow".....but we heard about this place on triple D and we were not disappointed. We tried both the duck and the pork belly.....fantastic flavors on a puffy soft light roll. Our son tried the signature burger and had it chomped down quick. Great service too. This is inside the Eureka casino south of the Stratousphere.....gotta go try it.

A hidden gem off the strip.

By RoboNole |

While we were in town I decided I had to get in another DDD. Found Fat Choy on the DDD app and made the trip. Well we were not disappointed at all. The pork belly bao and short rib grilled cheese were wonderful. It is a true dive in the corner of the casino but well worth the stop.

not up to the hype at ALL

By walker |

Very weak. I don't get the hype. just because DDD visited the place? are you kidding me? I guess that means they can charge 3 times what the food is worth. Not good. We were seated, order taken and then ignored for 30 minutes. Yes, a Half an hour we sat there while the staff served other customers that came in after us. Later we were told those customers had previously ordered, then knowing how slow this place was, left and came back. who knows if that's true. the tacos on tuesday were decent. Tacos were small and not worth $3 each. the short rib grilled cheese was totally Nasty. greasy, cold, tasteless and $14 freaking dollars. much better places within a mile. PM me for suggestions, I think this site won't let me recommend other places in a review.

Guy Fieri was spot on!

By 747debram |

Based on the triple d review, we found the small local casino just off the strip and went for an early dinner after a day of hiking. A tiny place with only a dozen tables and booths and a few bar stools, they have an interesting small menu. The potstickers are the best I've ever tasted, and the pork belly bao are fatty, rich, and totally satisfying. And did I mention fairly cheap? Wonton soup, potstickers, two kinds of bao (2 per serving) and sesame noodles along with a large Kirin and a soda was less than $45. Very good considering the amount and quality of food. The single server there when we arrived was fortunately joined by a second one after a while, as number one was very busy. We noticed quite of few people coming in to pick up carry out, a great idea if you are staying in one of the several nearby suite hotels or timeshares.

What a treat! Loved it !

By Donald S |

I saw the place on Diners,Drives & Dives and it was a huge hit. They need more space but they are creative. They had two parties of 20 seated and several people on a list for the 6 seats at the center. BUT ... they have a table in the casino and it was perfect! The food ... two of us had the short ribs rice dish which was rich and delicious. Tender short ribs, great teriyaki sauce and rice cooked perfectly. Wonderful! One in our party had pork belly bao and it too was superb. She also had the won ton soup which was way better than the run-of-the-mill won ton soup. She loved it. My wife had the short rib grilled cheese sandwich and she described it as fabulous! We then shared the peanut butter mousse and chocolate cloud desserts. They were both great. I think every member of the staff came to check on us and the owner came twice. They were concerned that we were at the table outside the restaurant (in the casino) but we saw it as a plus. In total, it was one of the best evenings we've ever spent in Las Vegas!!

Epic buns

By Daniel L |

Great buns, especially the pork belly. Try the Buddha beer together with the baos - nice combo. Very nice service

Dive off the strip

By Kevin B |

This place is way off the strip in a dive casino. Food is pretty good though. Peeking duck bao had a nice sauce and crispy skin. Also short rib grilled cheese was delicious. Bread was a bit dry but they gave you marinara for dipping which sounded strange but was amazing. The combo was like a really good stew flavor

Terrible service, good foid

After seeing the DDD segment about Fat Choy I eagerly anticipated the visit. The pork belly bun was fabulous. We did order hot wings which were okay, nothing special. I so specifically asked if we would get our appetizers before our entrees and the server says we would, unfortunately it was the end of her shift and the other server brought out everything together. This was very annoying. My Fat Choy burger was very good and my companion enjoyed his duck leg entree. However we had to ask for refills twice and our inattentive server couldn't have provided worse service. The restaurant is in the back of a seedy local casino so make sure you are careful in the parking lot. Also be prepared to fumigate your clothes after traversing the disgusting smoke filled casino. I loved the Food but the service and smoke filled casino killed it for me. Maybe go back to food truck only.

Asian fusion food

By kcchin |

Fat Choy is located in the Eureka Casino... a local casino with just slot machines. Went there to have their 'Pork Bell Bao'. Not bad if you've never had real Chinese dim sum before. Also ordered the 'Sesame Noodles'. Both dishes together came out to be $17. Being of Chinese decent myself, I was a little disappointed. Maybe I was expecting a little more authenticity. But considering its menu is under the assumption of 'fusion', I give it the benefit of what it is. .

$6 for 5 potstickers, ok?

By PrimalEater |

So this AIN'T some nasty Chinese gut bucket joint slinging warmed over yuck buckets of noodles and slop. Thry make it by hand as it is ordered and do it right. $7 for 8 chicken wings.

Go for Lunch

By Mike O |

My wife, a friend and I had a nice lunch at Fat Choy's. The only problem is getting over it's location. It's inside the Eureka Casino, it's not that bad, but it's next to a rough neighborhood. That's the reason we went for lunch, so we had daylight. The dining room is fairly small and diner style. The food was very good. We really enjoyed the Peking duck Bao and the tofu and mushroom Bao. Our braised short rib grilled cheese was good, but I wish the meat had a little more flavor. My wife's sesame noodles were surprisingly very good as well. Our service was above average, but friendly and helpful. I will return for lunch.

Visiting DDD

Came here to check out another DDD restaurant. Definitely didn't disappoint. Unique menu. Clean and fast service !

I'll be back again!

I've started frequenting restaurants that have been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I visited in August of 2016. I had the Philly cheese-steak, which was fantastic and very filling, but real gems here are the deserts. I wanted to try them all, but limited myself to just two. I'll be back for more deserts in the near future. Out servers name was Sarah and she was delightful.

Delicious

I seen the place on DDD and had to try it when I was in Vegas. I got the short rib grilled cheese with fries and the pork belly bao but were pretty good.

Hell of a Tasty Burger!

Excellent customer service, friendly staff, we tried the Loco Moco Wednesday special, it was great!

Hidden Gem

By cameraric |

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. The menu is small, but that just means that the food that you get is that much more special. My favorite item is the Short Rib Rice. Words cannot do this dish justice! This is comfort food at its finest. If you want to experience food cooked with love, try this dish? Also, the Duck Rice is pretty good, too. The staff is nice and friendly as well!

Diners, drive-ins and dives spot

Food was unbelievable. We had short rib grilled cheese, and fat choy burger ( burger, short rib, egg, bacon). Short rib had great flavor and just melts. Great pot stickers!

Yup...I loved it.

By DSWeimar |

Great place tucked inside an average casino. The wait staff was super nice and helpful. We ordered a variety of items. I enjoyed the pot stickers a lot! We split a classic cheeseburger which was cooked perfectly and juicy. We also shared short-rib grilled cheese sandwich which was so good! Also we had the Short-rib rice and that was amazing. Waaayyy too much food but we wanted to sample the offerings and took some home. I'd go there if I were you!

Deliciousness in a seedy casino

By mail4cindyr |

I would definitely think this chef would have more high ratings if customers didn't have to wade through an old smoky casino to get to it. They have the best short rib grilled cheese sandwich I have ever eaten. Their duck so is the yummiest as well. They now offer expanded drink options as well.

best bao

love this place and love that it's hidden in a small casino off the strip!!!! Order the pork belly, or short rib bao or even just burger fries and a beer and have a great meal. Great staff make you feel right at home.

Great service and food

Saw this place on Triple D and had to try it out! Its located in a small but nice casino. Tanya was our server and she was great!! We weren't sure what to order so we left it up to her and she didn't let us down! The pork bao was fabulous and the sesame noodles with chinese sausage and an egg was so flavorful and fresh! I will definetly be back very soon

You won’t be disappointed!

By pskewUSA |

I saw an episode of Diners Drive-ins and Dives which profiled this place. I was intrigued with the Bao. I had the pork belly, duck, and mushroom Bao. They were amazing! I also tried the wonton soup with noodles and it was delicious! Try it if you get the opportunity.

Not the regular thing

By imtanner |

We were here from an online recommendation. It's in an older casino in an older neighborhood but the restaurant is clean and the waitresses were super friendly and attentive. Loved the pork belly bao buns and the duck rice, less impressed with the short rib rice. Desserts looked housemade but we were too full to try them.

Delicious

We stopped here because it was on Guy Fieri's DDD and we were not disappointed. My husband had the pork bao and I have the Fat Choy Burger. Excellent food! Great service.

Not for vegans; otherwise worthy of the trip

By UglyBuffalo |

The food critics who've visited this place will give you an idea what to expect. We say make certain you haven't missed any doses of statins and take a handful more. This place definitely sates most people's craving for fat and meat with simple dishes that are exquisite. Service is excellent. Bar selections, for what really amounts to a hole-in-the-casino, are good. Some of our party came back a second night, and we'll be back next time we're in LV!

Best meal I had in Las Vegas.

By jkearsey |

Best meal I had in Las Vegas, port bellies and the grilled cheese with short ribs. Staff were kind and service +++. I will return. Plus it is in an old school casino.

Great food but unfortunately smoky location

By karen a |

I was with a group of five at a conference and this unique restaurant was recommended. It is located a bit off the strip in a small casino. The restaurant is adorable with a 50s vintage feel but the menu is definitely unique to them. All our food was delicious and the price was reasonable but since we are all nonsmokers and one with asthma in the group we probably wouldn't return.

Good enough

By slowee08 |

Quaint. Throwback. Retro. Asian, American, and sometimes even Italian entrees. Very friendly staff and extremely clean. Very blue-collar. Comfortable. Good place for budget eating.

A must for use when in Las Vegas

By p f |

Every time we're in Las Vegas we stop at Fat Choy's. Why? Because the food is delicious. We love the Bao. Thsi trip we brought our family and now they have a new place to stop. Sure it's in the Eureka casino, but do yourself a favour and sop in.

great food excellent service

By Tim T |

We saw this on DDD and just happened to be in the neighborhood so we gave it a shot. The short rib grilled cheese was great and the deserts were excellent as well. We will be going back soon. Service staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Well worth the drive.

Asian American Diner

By Shanelle |

Came here per the suggestion of a coworker and Triple D. It’s located inside the Eureka casino in the back right and there’s free parking available. It’s a nonsmoking restaurant. They accept credit cards and will bring the reader to your table. Our waiter Zach was funny and helpful. Note that if you go on a Sunday, it’s brunch all day and breakfast-only until 11am. If you check in on Yelp, you can get a free dessert (which we used to avail ourselves of a red velvet cheesecake at 10am #sorrynotsorry). I got the Big Pig Sandwich, which came with potatoes on the side. We all loved those potatoes. The sandwich was large and could easily be split between two people. At time of writing this, they had a $6 steak and eggs special. My sister got the pork belly bao Benedict and my dad got the chipotle breakfast burrito. He got a little cup of salsa for $1 extra. The food wasn’t as seasoned as I thought it would be but it was filling. They do have sriracha and tapatio for sauces. Overall, a good value for large portions at a Guy Fieri-approved spot.

Looks Are Deceiving, But the TASTE is worth it!

Fat Choy is located in part town that has no abeyance so just us guys went. We here about this place watching TV. About 1 mile off the main Las Vegas Strip and we wonder what we were getting into. Staff at Fat Choy was friendly and gave us good service and then came the food and we were surprised how good it was. Now locate the restaurant on the strip and give it some abeyance . You be paying a lot more than we did.

Great Place to eat Fat Choy

Drake was great at cooking as well as the cashier Carla she was patient I definitely recommend this place in Las Vegas. Great prices!! šŸ˜„

It is good and it is suitable for people on a budget

By Romeo Oscar |

Went there on 19th Jan. Ordered quite basic food, because we didn’t want to try out new things that night. However, when we tried our burgers, damn daniel!!!!!, the meat was great!!!! Never ever had so good meat even in expensive European restaurants. You guys, are the top notch for the price you ask! Portions are big, we took half of the food to our hotel. I got to mention the waitresses. They do a great job! Super polite, super friendly and caring. One of the waitresses confused the order and gave me a wrong dish, but once I mentioned this, the salad I ordered was on my table within a minute or so! Thank you guys! And I hope you enjoyed my tip, haha!

Worth the stop!

By Karen O |

This is a smaller, casual place, inside a hotel off the strip. Go for the delicious pork belly & duck bao! The sesame noodles & pan fried dumplings were also very fresh & tasty. The waitress we had was very spunky & fun! She even rinsed out our empty Buddha beer bottles, so we could take them home with us. This place is a little off the beaten path, but totally worth the stop for a casual lunch or dinner. Great find!
