Had the most amazing pizza

By mc5117 |

Had the most amazing pizza here tonight. I did a build your own, bacon, mushrooms and ipa onions. Was one of the best pizzas I’ve tasted for years!! Had crab cakes to start and they were equally great! Excellent chef/kitchen here. Very nice bar and atmosphere with friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.

A good option while staying in McCormick Place

By N_and_R |

I had a quick dinner at Fatpour Tap Works-McCormick during my stay for a conference at McCormick Place. It is conveniently located within the convention center area. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I can't say much about their beer offerings, which I think is their strength. Service was efficient.

Be patient. It's worth it.

By cicnavi |

We came here for dinner on a Monday night. Got there fairly early at 6 pm and I would say we were the last to get through with out a significant wait. The place was busy and popular. Service was on the slow side. But it was no wonder why. The place was packed and they were clearly understaffed as is happening everywhere. The food was amazing. It explained why they had the crowd they did. Be patient. It is worth it.

Decent bar food

By Tina S |

Decent bar food. We had the Chicken Little, Breakfast bacon sliders, and the margarita pizza on Sunday 5/26/24. The sliders were great! The chicken was a little dry, and there were too many diced tomatoes on the pizza. The tomatoes made the pizza dough soggy, we were only able to eat 2 slices of the pizza. I will not order this type of pizza again. So one out of three meals were good.the service was fast and the waitress attentive.

Good food and beer

By ChewsyEaters |

The beer list is huge here and is a mix of tap and bottled. The food was really good. Had the Mac and cheese with added mushrooms and pork belly that was great. The crab cakes were also really good. Also had a side salad and loved the pickled onions that were on it.

Yum

By Beentheredonethat |

Crab cakes were awesome. Great beer on tap and great service from Beatrice. Nice atmosphere and seating.

New location open! Great atmosphere!

By Elise M |

Went to this newly opened Fatpour for a Friday night dinner... I was staying at the Hilton next door and didn't want to go far. I didn't have to wait, even on a Friday night! Definitely a sports bar atmosphere, which I liked. Bar and bar area seating. I believe there is also an upstairs area. Their website says: This location offers stunning private space, outdoor patio seating, dining room, bar, and includes our signature keg wall. I ordered a specialty beer from their extensive list. As always in Chicago, this was a bit pricey as I knew it would be. I also ordered their steak sandwich for dinner... cooked to perfection and served as I like it, came with tater tots... yummy! Total bill for beer, diet pepsi and dinner was about $32... not unexpected and no complaints except... ...I couldn't give this new place a 5 star because I almost froze to death in the restaurant! I was seated about 10 feet from the front door. And even though they have a protective tent outside, when the south door was opened (and especially held open) there was a 21 degree breeze coming by the 3 tables in the front of the restaurant. Asking to have the door secured helped a bit, but not enough. If you go here when it's cold, don't sit at one of the 3 tables directly to the left of the entrance!

Terribly managed restaurant

By ng4uk |

Trade shows taking place at McCormick Place and yet they had only 3 servers working the entire restaurant. Given a 45 minute wait time with multiple tables empty. Front hostess was rude letting us know she just worked there and couldn’t do anything about the staffed level of the restaurant. Can’t believe management wouldn’t pay attention to the fact that events are taking place around them which would allow them to be more profitable and employee more people if they could fill their tables. At the end of the day- they have a captive expo audience that has no where else to go so they probably don’t care and for that I won’t be back to support that.

They put the B in Bland

By Gary S |

Terrible. I ordered the macaroni and cheese and it was the most bland thing I’ve ever had in my life. Flavorless noodles swimming in a flavorless sauce. How do you mess up macaroni and cheese? Even the frozen Stouffer’s Mac and cheese is better than this.

Gringo Tacos!

By Ted V |

I had the Gringo Tacos on two occasions... they were excellent! Especially on a cold fall day! Nice and a little bit spicy with fresh cheese on top!

Great time

By William C |

I had an amazing time. I felt welcomed and at home the moment I walked through the door. I had a short wait, to be expected and the service made it all worth it. The food was steaming hot and very large portions. The drinks are well priced and themed well for the season. I was greeted and asked how my service was multiple times. My server was fun and knowledgeable on the best dishes and drinks alike. I will be back but I know it’ll be hard to top this amazing experience.

Great Food and Service!

By Marcie M |

We went twice during our recent stay in Chicago. The first was a late dinner/snack and the second was lunch. I had the chicken and waffles and they were divine. The burgers were HUGE and quite filling even without the bun. A member of our party had some difficulty with her steak and the manager took good care of her. We also had brussels sprouts, dips, salad, etc. Everything was very good!

Poor Service

By Andrew Smith |

This place is a joke. Take your business/customer experience somewhere else where the appreciate your business and don’t grab a drink out of your hand. Staff acts like they owe you something. Terrible service, attitude, and atmosphere. I would never come here again.

Very busy fun vibe great for brunch too.

By BlondeValor |

Capping off our gymnastics weekend we went here to celebrate before heading home. It was brunch time for us on a Sunday so the offerings of breakfast tacos, fruity pebble french toast etc. sounded great. Everything was very good and nice portions. Would go again, would love to try later in the day, but we noticed it got VERY busy towards the evenings.

Very Cute Bar

By Shanel S |

The food here is great. The employees are nice and friendly. Very helpful Staff. Do try the skillet cookie and the nachos!

Great food, good drink selection

By Michael D |

The food here was delicious and lived up to the expectations reading the menu. The drink selection was pretty large with a lot of local selections. The restaurant vibes were nice. Service was good.

Nice menu and beer selection

By lorab108 |

Stopped in for a burger and draft beer. Nice menu and beer selection. Prices were also reasonable for downtown Chicago.

Great Stop! Close to Marriott Marquis Chicago

By Lorna J |

Stopped for a couple of drinks, Seevice was great! Thanks Nya for taking such good care of us! Enjoyed watching several college football games on their big screen.

Nicely prepared food

By John V |

All the dishes we ordered, three, were prepared exactly as requested. The server was most knowledgeable and took the time to explain items which cause confusion. The selection of beer is wide and varied.

Interesting Place

By Andy H |

This definitely a place I'll try again. There is a great craft beer selection. And the atmosphere is pretty good. The biggest problem is that I had my heart set on a maple bacon burger that I had seen on their menu before we came. Well what we didn't realize is that it was on the dinner menu. We got there before 3 which is when that menu starts. So we had to order off the brunch/lunch menu. I went ahead and had breakfast tacos and they were decent. Hopefully i'll get back some time to try their dinner menu.

Great food, good service

By Lakota75 |

Came here a couple of times this week and each time had a fantastic experience! Good food, good drinks and great service. We were upstairs each time. Their tacos are epic, as are the burgers, and their selection of beer is pretty impressive too

Lunch visit

By Travelguruler |

We picked this due to close proximity to our hotel. I ordered the Fried Nashville Hot sandwich with sweet potato fries. The food was good but it took approximately 30 minutes to receive our meals.

Very Good Food and Drinks!

By Traveldanse |

One of the few places to eat in walking distance to hotel, this had a good rating and lived up to it. Food was very good, large portions, prices within "reason," fun atmosphere. Service was hit and miss (we were there twice for dinner) with most servers being very good, but the one that lost points is the one who clearing the plates after I boxed my leftovers. When I asked for a bag, he huffed off and practically threw it in my face as he walked back by (he had not been our server.) Everything we had tasted good and was creatively made.

I'd say it's more than a sports bar (although there are a lot of TVs)

By wardzone |

I was at a conference in Chicago last week and found this place on TA. Had pizza on Monday evening with enough to take back to the motel and warm up again Tuesday. My partner had a large (& loaded) burger and said it was great - maple bacon. I went back a couple of days later and had the chicken sandwich with mac & cheese as my side. Again, very good. It's getting a 5* rating vs other casual places - well worth stopping by if you're near McCormick Place.

The food was a mixed bag.

By Christian F |

The food was a mixed bag. Fried cheese curds where stuck together. They where not cold enough when put in the frier. Chicken sand egoid. First and only restaurant that had a credit card fee. Checked

Drinks near convention center

By maxpaste |

We went here twice on our visit to Chicago, as it was near our hotel and we enjoyed the food and drink and sports on their screens. Nice beer selections as well.

Worst service in the South Loop

By jeb a |

I've been to this location numerous times hoping I would enjoy the same experience I've had at their other Chicago location only to be dissatisfied every time. The food is average, but the service and employee morale are horrible. If it weren't for tourists and the area hotels this place wouldn't stand a chance. This wasn't a one-and-done for me as I've given this place about 7-8 chances....good luck if you attempt.

Good Option for Solo Business Traveler

By flies2vacay |

This is steps from the Hilton hotels triplex front door. I ate there 3 nights in a row. The food is very good- fish tacos, margherita pizza and kale salad especially. Lots of vegetarian choices. Pretty thoughtful small wine list too but they were definitely not big pours at $12-15 per glass. The many many beers are much better value. Service was attentive too.

First time..first night @ Chicago

By Kathlyn M |

Excellent Food and Service. The best way to be welcomed at a new city! We went late, Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day.

Tapped Out.

By Gma0917 |

Thank god for this place! Amazing location to meet if you’re at McCormack place and don’t want to walk outside! Awesome connected to the 3 Hilton properties and walkable from Hyatt too. Food is good. Be careful of the Fatpour Burger. Its gluttonous. Good beer section. If the name didn’t give it away.

Quick and easy for my son and me on gameday

By Matt P |

My son and I stayed at the Hampton Inn for the Chiefs/Bears football game on Sunday night. After being told there was a 30 minute wait, we got seated in less than ten minutes. My son's burger was good and my nachos were outstanding (and huge!!).

Single Woman Not Allowed

By Moneymasternow |

Don't go if Single woman. I was at private function. Waitress didn't believe I was part of group. She said for a dollar I could stay there for ginger ale.

Fatpour—Great Food, great drinks, excellent service

By John M |

My wife and I were staying at Hilton’s Home2Suites in Chicago recently. Fatpour is basically attached to the complex on the corner of Cermak and Indiana. Fatpour is not a ritzy restaurant but an upscale bar and grill/sports bar. Essentially, great food/drinks and superior service. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Great Atmosphere and Food

By dms_563 |

Ate lunch here twice. They have daily specials. Try the Mac & Cheese. All our food was very good. Service was also very good. a must try when in this area.

Lots of Food and Drinks

By klhchicago |

We have been there three times, and two were during busy dining time where we were quickly seated. Since we were just two people it was easy to get a seat. The server has been quick and the back up help as well in getting the drink and food orders out. The quality of the food and prices are very good. Nice selection of beers and an interesting menu with some great sides. Much needed addition to the South Loop and a great place for locals and visitors alike,

Great place to watch a football game

By Victoria |

Nice place to meet friends and business associates to watch a special football game. Great bar, food and any drinks you can imagine they have. The draft beer selection is quite good and there are multiple levels to enjoy your experience at this location.

Good vibe friendly atmosphere and right amount of TV’s.

By Spnkem |

Food at lunch was very good and bartender was great. Went back for dinner and the bartender didn’t smile once. Won’t be back the rest of the week.

Great food and service

By Theresa |

We were staying at the Hampton Inn next door to the Fatpour Tap Works. We had great food and the server was wonderful. He suggested a beer on tap that tasted great.

After the Bear game, great spot to meet.

By George D |

We tried Fatpour Tap Works for the first time after a Bear game. It is a very nice sports bar, suitable for families or with friends. They also have a nice outside seating area. Our server, Cesar, did a great job. Be careful on the sausage platter as it is a lot of food and should be for four or more. Wings were smaller than other Chicago spots, but the BBQ sauce was outstanding. And the chicken waffle bites were something new for us and I would have them again.

Mixed Reviews

By PuffyP |

Howdy, two people in our six-person party said their meals were absolutely fantastic, two were average and two said "meh". The atmosphere is sports/TV, and would be perfect for teens/young adults/sports fans. We went in winter and they sat us by the door so we pretty much had a frozen blast on us constantly as they got busy. Our server was great at the start, but became missing once it got busy.

Two days in a row

By LYNN J |

Need I say more. It was great enough to go back. Portions are quite large but we finished our food because it was so good.

Nonexistent service

By lkreid |

Ambience nice. When we came in it was practically empty. Half of us received our food in timely fashion, For 4 of our party food arrived over an hour and a half later. We were in the restaurant two and a half hours just to receive all food (half of it to go because we were late for our meeting). Manager took part of the check off and was apologetic and polite, but waitress was the worst. Very rude even after the delayed meal and actually turned and walked off on us twice. Oh, well. Hopefully we are an outlier.

Watered down vodka/wouldn't recommend

By Kristen M |

Although the bar back was nice, chatty, and professional, the Sneaky Fox vodka in my friend's tonic and vodka drink tasted more like water and tonic, even after getting a 2nd shot in the drink.

Nice Bar/Restaurant

By Scott S |

Enjoyed a much needed cocktail after a long day getting to Chicago. Attached to hotel but have to access from outside. Staff was awesome, very friendly and funny.

First time visiting Fatpour

By Maribeth G |

First time visiting Fatpour Tap Works in Chicago. The menu and food were amazing. Couldn’t decide what to get. Our server Quin did an excellent job. I can’t say enough good things.

Varied menu, good food adjacent the Hiltons at Mccormick place

By Mark H |

A group of my colleagues ate here five straight days because it was adjacent to the Hilton group of hotels and its menu is varied and it is good. It was so convenient to just walk out the front door of the hotel, turn right and walk 75 feet. The inside is airy with tall ceilings and they have an extensive list of draft beers. One nit I would pick is the drinks menu can only be accessed by QR code. The food menu is a traditional printed copy. The Cajun salmon sandwich was excellent and large, the thin crust pizza was good, as well and the crab cakes and wedge salad. I enjoyed the roasted Brussels sprouts as a side. Service could be a little uneven. One night we had a new server, who was earnest, friendly, but she was still hitting her stride. She'll do well. Another night the pace was getting hammered with fans heading to the Chicago Sky NBA game across the street.

great dining experience

By Jeanne M |

Great food. Great atmosphere. Easy to get in. Wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful.....very friendly! Will visit again!

Volleyball group meal

By mauneja |

Fatpour did a fantastic job hosting our group of 20+ people for our volleyball team meal. The burgers are great, watched the football game on the big screen and bloopers instead of commercials in between. Everyone had a great time and would definitely return.

One out of two was good

By Chuck's Travels |

Went 2 times first was good and second left because didn’t get service in a timely fashion. First time I had a good pizza and a cold beer, nice server and overall a good experience.(Dinner) Second time sat down and waited 10 minutes because no server ever came to table. (Lunch)

The gem of the neighborhood

By procyclist |

Very cool place! It's newly completed (or so it would appear), has what I would think is the largest selection of beers in the area, top-notch appetizers, and an overall cool vibe. Not inexpensive by any stretch, but definitely worth a trip if you're staying at McCormick.

Nice pub in the McCormick Place area

By NOLA |

Nice location with average food. There is a decent selection of draft beer, but with their name, I expected better. The food was reasonably priced and tasted good.

Good value for money

By Wim Crusio |

Excellent food and beer! If you like a crisp IPA, go for the Revolution Anti-Hero IPA, it's very tasty. The burgers are great, I particularly enjoyed the "Squeaker". Also great martini's!

Great vibes.

By smiller1951 |

Great beer. Great sandwiches. People were very friendly and I would and will definitely go there again.

Walking distance

By Rodney M |

This one of the better restaurants within walking distance of the Convention Center. The food was good the drinks were a little over priced.

Nice beer selection

By Snapurbia |

This is a nice place for a meal or to watch a game while having some local, and non-local brews. I highly recommend the pork al pastor tacos. Also had the black bean hummus but not overly impressed with that. Friendly service and very convenient if you are in a nearby hotel.

Simply TERRIBLE!!!!!

By Coach Pedari |

First trip to Chicago and high expectations...so disappointed with the bad manners and terrible welcoming committee at this place!!! Waited over 1h15min and finally when a table got ready (although tables got ready before but we were simply ignored) they were upset that when we sat down and treated us like dirt!!! This place should close or go out of business...RUDE STAFF AND VERY UNWELCOMING!!!! Don’t waste your money here ... shameful!!!!!!!!! Had to give them 1 grading but don’t even deserve that!!!!!

Work with Mikaela

By Graham C |

Wanted to throw a party for my family and friends and didn’t know where to start. Was introduced to Mikaela when I sent in a party request and it was the best. She made the process go very smoothly, stayed within budget and was a pleasure to work with. If you are thinking of doing an event here, talk to Mikaela and you cannot go wrong. Definitely will use her in the future.

Rude Bartender

By Hammer151 |

There was a great beer selection. Salad was ok. Bartender was incredibly rude to customers. She was busy and very visibly stressed out. She took it out on the customers. Rather unfortunate.

Very impressed

By Glen P |

Went there for dinner. Was not expecting much, as I thought it was more about of a bar. We were wrong, it has a great menu, and the few items we had were very good. I had the pasta, and my wife had a sandwich. Wish we stayed in Chicago longer, so we could have tried more items on the menu.

A nice surprise

By summitsvs |

Went here expecting just an average place because of its location but they really outdo themselves. Have an OK wine list but their food is really good. Ate here several times with different items. Liked everything I chose! Crispy wings, great macaroni and cheese (not dry), steak. Very healthy portions, just ahead up. Waffle battered chicken bites were awesome, but all the food was good. I went here several times, and would definitely go back.

Great pub with a unique craft beers and some funky pub food

By Peter E |

Heading out from a conference, starving and googling like mad to find something local where we could sit and eat. Found FatPour. Good find!
