Wonderful surprise

By joecool1980 |

A friend of my who is a legit foodie took us to this hidden gem in the heart of Buckhead at the Burgess Hotel. Everyone had a great meal. I ordered tomato basil soup, mushroom risotto and bananas foster. All were spectacular. When I go back I will be hard pressed not to order the same again. (If you can get Abby as your waitress). Do not come here if you plan to rush through your meal.

Amazing food. Love everything i ate!

Excellent food and service!

FIA IS FANTASTIC! Tonight was our 2nd visit & it was just as outstanding as the last time. Friendly hostess greeted us right away and showed us to our table. The chairs were really comfortable. In no time, our server appeared to take our drink orders. The 3 of us shared all of the food, starting with killer hot baba ganoush and crispy Brussels sprouts. Meatballs, wedge salad with blue cheese foam, perfectly seared scallops with summer succotash, and charred octopus all were outstanding! Loved our efficient, personable server. Not once did she say “No problem” (pet peeve). Every employee in this hotel that we encountered spoke to us. The chef/owner visited our table! It was a perfect evening.

It could be so much better !

I went on a quiet Tuesday evening with 3 friends for the second time in 3 weeks. The decor is very fine and the food is excellent ( skirt steak and salmon ) However, for many reasons I considered the service to be terrible. I would expect better in a “ Waffle House “ and could have paid for all 4 with the Gratuity ! I am from U.K. and in an England or France people would be walking out ! It was disappointing to me that both the Menu and Wine List are on a single sheet of card.

Nice addition to Buckhead

By Dmbading |

Had read several reviews from the Next Door app so decided to try it out. The restaurant is lovely! Sat at the bar and had a drink until our table was ready. Liked but didn’t love their version of an Old Fashioned. Will order the traditional next time. Had the Branzino which was delicious. Others had fettuccine and one person the pork chop. All reviews were very positive. Owner stopped by and after dinner we had a tour of the hotel rooms (Fia is the restaurant in the recently renovated Wyngate now an upscale hotel call The Burgess). We saw about 8 suites and a regular king room. Such a treat as the suites are themed countries/cities. Highly recommend visiting Fia.

Refreshingly Different Menu

We ate at Fia on a Sunday evening and were seated promptly per the reservation. The restaurant is inside of the new Burgess Hotel and you enter through the hotel entrance. Modern but comfortable decor with plenty of choice for vegetarians as well as non vegetarian. The wine list is reasonable and we drank a nice Pinot Noir with our meal. The Hummus is served warm and the Octopus has a nice flavor to it. The cauliflower steak was a hit with our vegetarian companion.

Absolutely AMAZING!

It was our first time here and all we can say is compliments to the chef!!!!!!!!! The service, drinks, dessert and food were absolutely AMAZING!!!!!! You can taste the passion and love Chef Burgess (the Chef and hotel owner,) puts into the food. Prior to our dinner experience here, we had an absolute favorite restaurant in town (and my husband and I travel the country, but THIS is now our favorite place!! We will absolutely come back...and stay at the hotel for the full experience. Thank you Mr. Burgess!!! 5 stars!

An awesome meal

We visited with friends who had recommended this restaurant. The service was great. My husband had “one of my best steaks in his life”. I had the most amazing short rib and our friends ordered the scallops and the salmon which they loved as well. We’ll be back.

Excellent New Addition

By ATLDON |

The food, ambience and service were all excellent. I could have eaten three of the Octopus appetizers. The Hummus was spectacular too. The Branzino and Salmon were both perfectly cooked and delicious. Our waitress Breannna was excellent and made great recommendations. Even the valet Tony Tevin was super friendly, treated the car with care and very efficient in getting us in and out of the parking lot. #wewillbeback

Best Restaurant in Atlanta

By Jim2344 |

We have now visited Fia two Saturdays in a row and we have had nothing short of spectacular starters, entrees, and desserts at both meals! The atmosphere is very inviting and the service from JT has been excellent on both occasions! Back to the food…for starters the Gnocchi is a must - some of the best I have had anywhere. The Shrimp Saganaki, Caprese Salad, and the Meatballs were all very good! For entrees the Lamb Shank and Short Rib are outstanding. The Scallops and the Salmon are also very good! And lastly don’t miss the Bananas Foster…the best I have had in Atlanta. The bottom line is soon the secret will be out but until then get a reservation here as quick as you can! PS. The Bar is very nice as well and worth visiting before dinner!

Nice Setting

To be honest, the level of customer service was outstanding. Although, the taste of dinner was nothing short of amazing, I was disappointed in the portion size of my lunch...

What a FANTASTIC Restaurant addition to Buckhead!

By MikeyMikeyATL |

What a FANTASTIC addition to Buckhead! This was my birthday dinner and it was exceptional! Candice was our server and she was super attentive and personable. We had pre-dinner drinks at Mr.B's and Wes and Neshta were on point. Wes was professional and Neshta had such a charming glowing smile! We can't wait to return for another SPECTACULAR dining experience!

SO Cool!

Service, Food, and Ambiance Make Fia A Dining Destination

By Viknd |

Best lead Bartender in Buckhead in Mark. He is friendly, professional, knows wine and bourbons, and goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy. Outstding Food (Caesar, Shrimp, and Gnochi are excellent appetizers, Chicken, fish and Risotto are tremendous main courses). A++

Totally enjoyable!

By Debbie P |

Five of us dined together at Fia, and five of us came away satisfied. We were seated near the open kitchen which was an added treat. I always enjoy watching the goings on! And Fia’s kitchen and staff are organized and efficient. Each one of us thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here. Our charred octopus and pork belly appetizers were delicious - beautifully plated on beautiful plates with delicate flowers painted on them. My salmon was quite possibly the best salmon I’ve ever had. It had a delicate yet rich flavor. My husband’s whole branzino was a sight to behold! It was good enough that he said he would order it again. The Sancerre wine we had was equally good. I’d say everything about this meal - the food, the drinks, the setting, the service - was exceptionally good. All of us give Fia a hearty thumbs up!

AmazIng!!!

By samrdh2018 |

AmazIng restaurant in The Burgess hotel located on Piedmont(formerly the Wyngate Hotel).. The chef used to be with Bacchanalia. The food was incredible (octopus, steak, fish, and dessert). The hotel/bar/restaurant are stunning. The attentiveness of the staff made us feel like we were VIP. Hands down one of best new restaurant in Atlanta.

Just WOW

By Viknd |

Wife and I had dinner last night at Fia, and everything was EXCEPTIONAL. The menu leaves one wanting to order multiple items, making for difficult decisions. Every course was top notch, and I highly recommend the Gnocchi appetizer (the wild mushrooms, cheese, and sauce were impeccable) served with delicious bread, unique wedge salad, lamb chops (most tender and flavorful in Atl), and Scallops with Risotto (deliciously prepared). Do NOT pass up dessert as The Bananas Foster is the best I’ve ever tasted, and Vanilla Crème Brûlée delightful as well. The food was matched by the service: LV our waiter was very helpful and professional, as was the bartender Mark. Lastly, Chef Burges was kind enough to visit our table. His passion for crafting uniquely exceptional food and a truly wonderful dining experience is palpable.

Alex Dickens & Jamal, Tony Valet

Valet for Fia was amazing. Very friendly and speedy. I would hire these two for my own service one day

Valet Service

By slh |

The restaurant was lovely. Quiet location. Sidney E. Lee the valet service was outstanding. I left my phone in the car and he went to the car to secure it for me while I enjoyed my meal with a colleague. Now that's service!! Thanks Sidney

Spectacular and naturally gluten free

By Christy |

No regrets! Everything was very good. We had the meatballs for an appetizer and they were spicy. Also had a wedge salad, which was very interesting, a flat wedge with whipped blue cheese with crème fraîche. One of us had a giant prawns for dinner, and these were very flavorful with a curry and fragrant rice. The other had the whole grilled branzino. Wine was very good. The cocktails were good. Dessert was the strawberry pepper Panna cotta. I would definitely get this dessert again. Everything was already gluten-free so I didn’t even have to ask for that. Our server was very efficient. As a bonus, the chef came out and checked on us.

Fia will exceed your expectations

By JeffKat |

This was our pre-Valentine’s dinner with friends and it was amazing. I’ve been to Fia before and enjoyed it each time, but after last night, I felt it was time to show my appreciation. It’s definitely going to be on our short list of repeat restaurants. The food is amazing. I don’t want to go into the minutia of each dish but we ordered just about every appetizer and wish we had ordered the missing ones. You cannot go wrong. The decor transports you to exotic lands and despite being all this, you still feel like you are at a family owned intimate eatery where everyone really cares. It’s obvious the staff has a lot of pride in what they do and the restaurant they work at. Are you one of those people like me who wonders “what has happened to customer service”? Well, Fia remembers. Everyone was terrific but Yannick (The GM) and Chef Burgess were absolute standouts. I couldn’t believe it when Chef Burgess brought out certain dishes to our table himself! When was the last time a chef did that? I’ve been to all the best restaurants of Atlanta and imho Fia is the best of the best! PS: even if you don’t think you want the bananas foster, get the bananas foster. It’s to die for

Who Are These Guys?

By Jeff S |

There are times when you stumble into a restaurant when everything is perfect. Our visit to Fia was that. We were a party of six and when they sat us in the bar area with a curved couch for three of us and three chairs for the other three, I was dubious. I wandered into the dining room, and all of the tables were taken and the vibe in the bar area was much more alive. Let’s see how this would work. The server arrived. Our initial impression was extremely positive and over the 2.5 hours we were there, she only got better. We ordered drinks, wine (glasses and a bottle) and some water. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio, which I thought was OK, nothing special. Then we moved onto the food. For an appetizer we shared the Charred Octopus and the Mussels. The octopus was a single tentacle sitting atop roasted red pepper, olives, and capers. It was almost fork tender, with great flavor and the addition of the Mediterranean vegetables was great. The Mussels were the hit of the night. The were large, meaty, plump, perfectly prepared and unlike most kitchens that just dump them in a bowl, Fia arranged them in a concentric circle on the plate. Visually and culinary perfection. For our entrée we all ordered the Bronzini. The filets were moist and the skin was crisped to perfection. It arrived with some julienned fennel on top. This is where the restaurant has its only failing. The protein is sans anything, no potato, no vegetable, just a lonely protein on a plate. They do have five sides to choose from a la carte. We ordered four of the five. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts were delicious, great flavor and crisped on the exterior. The Heirloom Carrots were a half a dozen orange and a few purple carrots. Make sure you grab one of the purple carrots, they were incredible. Th Grilled Mushrooms included a large bowl of a various species, each with a different flavor, a really great combination. Lastly, we had the Fingerling Potatoes. These were served smashed, and like the other sides, they were delicious. I was curious on who was overseeing the kitchen, there was real talent back there. A little research gave me the answer. The chef’s resume included a stint at Bacchanalia. Overall, the night was near perfection, from the room, to the service to the food. What I thought may have been a fluke during the evening, may turn out to be standard operating procedure. Once word gets out on how good Fia is, it will be impossible to get a reservation.

Simply World Class

By Brian A |

Amazing world class gourmet food served in a relaxing and engaging atmoshpere. Brianna was incredibly knowledgeable concerning the menu, its preparation and flavor profile. It completely blew us away as we were not expecting such an experience in a hotel restaurant. I would visit simply to eat at Fia again.

Delicious Enticing Meal

By Vanessa M |

I had the fortune of ordering the short ribs which were HUGE. Like Flinstones - your plate can't handle it - HUGE! They were fall of the bone delicious! The roasted Brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes were creamy, the drinks were great! OMG, the desserts are out of this world! The Chef came over to check on our table and it was so nice of him to do so. Can't wait to return to this wonderful spot!

A Hidden Gem

By ATLlady2010 |

Just enjoyed an amazing date night at Fia. Located in The Burgess Hotel in Atlanta, Fia is a hidden gem. The lamb chops were perhaps the best I've ever tasted. They were favorable and juicy. My only complaint would be the portion size, I could have easily eaten more! The Charred Octopus was just as others have described. Certainly a unique and delicious treat. Be sure to try the Crepe Suzette for dessert. Light, warm, and just the right amount of sweetness. A perfect ending for a great dinner. The atmosphere is perfect for a date or any type of conversational dinner.

A Great Evening

By rag714 |

We dined at Fia last night and were pleased to find that the restaurant lived up to the many positive reviews it has received. Although it took a while for our server to arrive at our table, once we placed our drink order the pace of service was fine. Our server, Corinthian, was excellent. She obviously knew the menu well and was very helpful in guiding us as we made our choices. I left the choice of wine in her hands and she selected just the right wine to accompany our meal. While on the subject of service, I should state that everyone we encountered was unfailingly cheerful and helpful. Worthy of special mention, in addition to Corinthian, was the hostess Abby who was a delight, just the kind of person you want making that first impression on your guests. Manager Chet checked on us several times during the evening which we appreciated. He is a very engaging chap with a great sense of humor and we very much enjoyed talking with him. Now the food: We had the Charred Octopus as a starter, the Spatchcock Chicken and the Grilled Branzino as our mains, and shared the crème caramel as dessert. They were all delicious. The octopus was fork tender and the Mediterranean preparation (olive oil, peppers, capers and lemon) was perfectly balanced to complement it. The chicken was roasted to perfection with a nice crisp skin and moist interior. The whole Branzino was outstanding: beautifully presented and expertly prepared. A decadent dessert and excellent coffee were the perfect way to end our evening. Fia is an outstanding addition to the Buckhead dining scene and we look forward to many return visits.

Beautiful Space, A Complete Dining Experience

I had an amazing dining experience. The decor, ambiance, service and food make a superb combination. This restaurant is what Atlanta has been lacking. My new go-to restaurant is Fia.

Amazing restaurant in Buckhead!

By ethanrtnm |

Everything at this place surpassed my expectations and then some. The service is impeccable and the ambience is exquisite, eclectic and inviting. I especially enjoyed the pork belly appetizer and the duck entree. This place is an absolute must visit if you’re in Atlanta. Will return for sure!

Uniquely fabulous!

By Les S |

Where else in the world is the owner of an incredible boutique hotel, like The Burgess in Atlanta, also a chef in the kitchen of that same hotel's top tier restaurant?! Executive Chef Daniel Porubiansky (of modest Ritz-Carlton Dining Room and Bacchanalia fame) has teamed up with hotel owner Burges Jokhi, a former chef himself, to create a vibrant, but elegant fine dining experience at this French Bistro meets Mediterranean Grille oasis in the heart of Buckhead. You heard what happens to any paradise, yes? I almost hate to recommend it, for fear of losing it to the masses. I said almost...you really have to check this place out! And by the way, the valet service from Alex, Dickens, and John is as friendly and professional as any I have experienced. I thank them for that!

Delicious Food!

Everything I tried on the menu was excellent! For a real treat, try the pork belly and grits! It's absolutely amazing!

Lovely Dinner

By RollingRita |

We were guests at The Burgess Hotel and Fia was a wonderful addition to the Hotel. It allowed us to have a Fine Dining Experience without ever leaving the property. Our reservations were late but the staff didn’t seem to mind. Everyone was very courteous. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food. My scallops were cooked perfectly.
