30 minutes-no server, went to bartender who was chatting with 1 customer, said tom Check with hostess-10 min later server came to table(we had 4 small kids with us) 15 mins later for drinks and 30 for food. Food was decent however never an offer for soda refills. Sent email about entree not received, mgmt response was $14.credit on $197 check, felt they could have done more for a regular customer, Won't go back again!

We ate dinner at the Field House on a Friday night recently with a group of 12 peope. It was during the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Since it is a sports bar, it was a busy night. However,, that should not excuse the poor service. We waited several minutes before our drink orders were taken. Once the food arrived, some of the orders were incomplete or incorrect. That can be frustrating but understandable since it was busy. However, our waitress disappeared and never came back to check on our orders. One other wait staff member eventually did check on us and we pointed out the errors in the orders. He said that he would take care of it, However, the missing item from our meals never came. If you do go, I would pick a quiet night. They were not propared to deal with a crowd, the night we were there.

We came here while visiting Philadelphia and hoping to catch a Buffalo Bills game. Funny, the Eagles were hosting a the final game before making the playoffs, so getting to spend some time with these fans while watching New England lose to Miami was pretty special. I also bumped in to some Buffalo expats at the bar, so that was pretty cool. Parking in or around The Reading Market will be expensive, however, there's a nice discount by the Hilton Ramp, if you return with a Reading Market receipt. The food was ok, the wings were undercooked (not crispy), and the pizza was small for a large. Wing, pizza specials were not very game friendly. However, the service was good, the ambiance was great and the game coverage was awesome. Great bar staff, too!!!

I visited Field House, because I took part in one of the Paint Nite events held there. They have two long bars and then seating area/booths on the opposite side of the room. The place was filled, but not packed. I ordered a coke at the bar and it was $3.50 a glass! My glass was all ice - I literally got 4 sips of soda out of it. Their food was over-priced and didn't taste all that great. I guess I was expecting a little more, than what I got. Now the Paint Nite.. that was awesome and I highly recommend that!

This restaurant is located in the Convention Center. It is a little noisy so do not expect a quiet dinner. Food is fine and service is good. It is close to the Marriott hotels and city hall also.

It's a sports bar, lots of TV's, music, etc... Tables/chairs are wooden and not very comfortable, the food was okay. Nothing stellar, just okay. Had a cheese steak sandwich 'cause when in Rome (!) Server was nice, not the quickest when requesting flatware and napkins but adequate.

Not sure why we even came here since the fabulous Reading Market is right across the street, our mistake. Tried the famous pork sandwich with broccoli rabe and it was not good. Dipping au ju was pure grease. Sandwich was thin on meat. Didn't eat half of it. Not worth the calories. Also tried the bowl of chili. It was super spicy and loaded with jalapeños. A layer of red grease lined the bowl and the top of the chili. Not good. Couldn't eat it. Son had the burger and he said it was OK but he didn't finish it-and he always eats his burger. I wouldn't come back based on this experience. The server was nice but she didn't even ask why I didn't eat my food.

Great place to watch a game. There are a ton of TVs and the place is huge so you will probably get a seat too. I have been there for an event and there is a semi-private upstairs. Drink menu is average. Food Menu looks like a lot but the food is not that good. We got a full meal there, and the best item we ordered was the Bacon Popcorn. Service was not great either. The server was nice enough, but she messed up my drink order twice and also ran off before taking my order...she took my wife's order though. Overall - Bar atmosphere is average, good for games though. Food is below average.

A large group visited at the start of a week in Philadelphia. The food was ok but there was just too much of it. Maybe we should have ordered a few dishes between us.

It's great for bar food and a boisterous to rowdy atmosphere, game watching and overall bar crowd noise. Can get very loud. (Especially the bachelorette parties.) Service is spotty, but usually good. Food better than the prices—they expect to make their money on the overpriced drinks, I imagine. Draft beer selection above average, not exceptional. Many times closed for reserved parties/banquets. Live music frequently destroys the sports bar atmosphere. Large conventions bring in lots of extra people from upstairs, so check ahead.

Great sports bar to hang out, indulge and meet good people. This place is huge. TV monitors galore. Philly loyalists throughout. Wear an opposing jersey at your own risk. Late night DJ Louie Castelli was rocking the dance floor. Bartenders Laura and Caitlin were so friendly and efficient. Enjoyed talking to bouncer/security Pete. Thanks folks. *Management- Could use more bartenders during late night.

Televisions at every angle, full bar, variety on the menu, really too loud and busy for conversation or a leisurely meal with friends. Has live music occasionally.

The service is good here as is the food. The bar itself is pretty big with lots of room to mingle and lots of gaming area. Large parties are easily accommodated. Parking is a issue here.

Arrived late Wednesday night and was seated immediately. The waitress was new so she wasn't a lot of help with menu recommendations and she wasn't very familiar with the beer selection. They were out of the first beer I ordered which was a local brew. Disappointing. I ordered a hamburger only to be told after the order was submitted that they had run out of bacon jam for the burger, so they substituted bacon. Disappointing. However, the burger had good flavor. Not certain I'd go back.

Central Philly location across from Reading Terminal. Busy, with lots of different spaces. Lots of people come here to watch a game. Food okay, nothing special.

Hosted seated us at a dirty table and didn’t notice. Took several minutes for a waitress to take a drink order. We were the only table of guests and there were 4 waitresses standing 10 feet from our table. The waitress didn’t notice the table was dirty either. When she returned to clean the table, we decided to leave. Limited menu.

Went to the Field House as it is right near our hotel to watch the Phillies game. Many people in the bar area. Sat as close to the bar as we could. No service, nobody ever came to ask us if we wanted a drink or food. They did have quite a few draft choices, lots of TVs also but not one was tuned to the game. I did ask a staff member if they would turn the game on, he said yes, but they didn't do it. The only beer I was able to get was one my husband got by going up and ordering at the bar. No food because another server never came around.

We attended a banquet here for our state at an international conference. The buffet of samples was great and the service was good considering how busy it was. We watched the soccer game on the huge big screen and I would definitely go back.

We wanted to watch a Minnesota Vikings game while the Eagles were playing. We were set up with a table by one of the only TV's with the Vikings on. At first the service was a bit slow. It was very busy. Once our server got to know us we received very good service. Had pizzas and wings and both were very good. The Eagles fans were friendly and there were even a few more Vikings fans there. Overall a fun atmosphere to watch a football game and have some above average bar food.

We went to Field House to watch the Final Four. What a fun place! The drinks were pretty good. The food was good "bar food". We had really good service, especially considering the number of people that were there. I would definitely go back here to watch a game.

Food and service was just average. Nothing memorable. When we went bar was busy, dining area had a few tables occupied.

Just ate what was arguably the worst burger of my life. A burger should not be that hard. This used to be a good restaurant (I've been coming here whenever I came to Philadelphia for 16 years). I notice that there is no longer a wait for a table on a Saturday night. No surprise, given what I want just served.

This is a very convenient place to watch the game and grab a bite, attached to Reading Terminal, the trains, and the Marriott. It’s fun and upbeat with a variety of pay games - sort of like a very VERY scaled back Dave & Busters. The prices and food are about what you’d expect from a place like this. It’s mainly bar food and snacks with average service. It’s really all about the location here and I’d recommend only if it is convenient to your schedule or fits your mood at the time.

The whole place was packed when we arrived. It is of course college football season! Took a while to get our table but nothing ridiculous. The menu is small, doesn't really have a lot to offer. The service was pretty bad. We had to ask for eating utensils and napkins. I don't think that is something you can blame on being busy...its a sports bar so that's what you get when you go.

We went for lunch after attending the Flower Show. After waiting half and hour for a table, we waited even longer for our incredibly mediocre food to arrive. Table was sticky, waitress was rarely around, our iced tea refills were filled with coke. After placing our order, we waited an HOUR for a salad, spring rolls and cuban sandwiches which were so nasty none of us could even finish the food - and believe me we were starving having not even eaten breakfast that morning. The only positive was the staff's cheerful welcome when we arrived. This restaurant has a captive audience from the convention center and looks as if it just doesn't care. I wanted to take a shower after eating there.

There were two large tables of us from a conference hoping to connect/network over an early dinner. It was quite loud and hard to hear. Service was friendly but hit or miss. Took a long time to get everyone their drinks (I do understand the challenges of large parties) and I still didn’t have my ice water after at least 15 minutes. Eventually there were water pitchers on the table, which made me happy. My harvest salad with fried calamari was good once it came (though there were several at the table that were missing their food long after others were served). The payments were confusing as the waitress had had several folks start tabs and others not. We were grateful in the end they were willing to do separate checks. I can’t imagine trying to deal with a group the size of ours; they did the best they could and it all turned out fine. People liked their beers and the Philly cheesesteaks.

We were visiting Philly for a few days and ended up here for dinner after becoming overwhelmed with the choices inside Reading Terminal Market. Food was just ok. Our server really didn't seem to know much about the menu ("it's new") although we did appreciate their willingness to do a half-size portion of spaghetti for our daughter. I got the "pesto chicken" rollup but there was exactly zero pesto in it, it was just chicken salad. Maybe "pesto" means something different in Philly, I don't know! My son had the sriracha wings which were very tasty. A LOT of food and we couldn't eat it all but there was nothing special about the meal. The kids liked the sports arcade type games.

Went to have lunch and watch college football on a rainy Saturday. Service was good, we never felt rushed, and they put the game on that we wanted. I had the autumn apple salad, which was very good, others at our table liked the chicken Caesar, the cheesesteak was average. We would definitely go again!

Great beer. Great appetizers. Great service. It is a good place to grab lunch and relax. I would gladly eat there again.

The beer was flat, the restaurant was loud, food tasted like it was microwaved. Just not very good. Did I mention THE BEER was flat? I tried a couple different types and all were flat. Only saving grace was our very pretty waitress.

We had a really nice food spread and open bar. They were drastically understaffed, but the two waitresses they had did their best. The bar food was really, really, good. I say this thinking I might have just been hungry, but it was all tasty.

Wanted to eat & drink and catch our college footballers - and catch the Yankees 2nd game -- got 'em all done at this GREEEAT place on Filbert -- great servers all around

Visited the Field House on Oct 7, to watch my hometown Blue Jays, have a few beers (hopefully with the "locals") and some eats. Game was in the afternoon, the bar was fairly quiet. Bar staff was friendly, lots of variety of draft beers available. Menu was limited to "pub" fare, it was ok, but expensive.

Easy walking distance from our hotel by City Hall. Great beer list with a mix of local and not so local brews. Variety of different beverages to satisfy all. TVs throughout the establishment, so you can watch the Phils from any table. Bar area was packed on Sat Nt., but got a table after short wait. Food selections limited and typical bar menu but with higher than expected prices for a burger, wings, etc. Food quality was average, no complaints but nothing special. Live music was not my taste, just added to the noisy bar crowd, was better when they stopped playing.

$8.50 for a fireball shot. It was probably half the size of a shot anywhere else. Service was slow and there was maybe 6 other tables in the join. Head else where and get more bang for your buck!

I can't really comment on the food because we were never seated!! We were told that a table for three would be about a 20-30 minute wait.. After an hour, we walked out! We were mildly annoyed that "regulars" that walked in and asked for a certain server were seated a head of us. We were most angry that we were not told the truth when we walked in. We had to make other quick service arrangements so we would not miss our train.

We just had drinks and snacks. The creamy crab fondue and The Buffalo wings was great. They had several beers to choose from.

Everything about this place is average, from the beer (flat-ish) to the wings (dry-ish) to the service (surly).

I attended a conference event that was both inside Field House and outside underneath the covered railroad tracks. Unfortunately, the music was way too loud in all directions. It made me leave way too early and didn't have any interest in yelling at my colleagues.

It’s a huge bar right by Reading Terminal Market - lots of screens showing sport and very lively. The food and drink are average at best (beer was very poor I have to say), and it was a nightmare trying to pay the check at the end. Overall if you’re in the area wanting to watch the game it’s not a bad place, but wouldn’t make a trip to go here.

I stopped in after a long day with meetings and the bar is a long winding wrap around which is sort of confusing when you first enter. The service at the bar was so-so, even with 4 bar tenders. The beer and menu prices were a bit high in comparison to similar type bar/restaurants.

Came in on a hot afternoon for a quick drink. It was not noisy and we could chat. Happy Hour beer and wine prices are good. The selection of local craft beers is excellent. The bartender was attentive and friendly. We noticed a lot of locals in for a drink after work. That's a good sign.

Returned to the Field House Bar & Grill in Downtown Philadelphia, PA. A huge entertainment complex, and sports bar with music, floor model family games, a unique beer menu and food. Big NY thanks to two of their personable Bartenders~ Dustin and Alex. I had a great time guys. Enjoy!

Waited 20 minutes for a table, no big deal, party was seated, took 15 minutes exactly for anyone to acknowledge us. Waitress took our order, stated the beer we wanted might be out, she went to check, 10 minutes later no sign of her. 25 minutes total, no service at all, not even a glass of water, staff was overwhelmed by the amount of business. We got up and left. Never going back again. The worst customer service I have ever seen. Very upsetting as the beer list looked great but we will never find out.

Late lunch Friday The place was not crowded. There are screens everywhere.. duh. Sports bar. The artichoke dip pita appetizer could have fed 4. Service was prompt and good. I had a cheese steak...very cheesy. The fries were greasy and overdone. My companion had a cobb salad with chicken. Huge fresh salad. Greens were carelessly washed. Chicken grilled and relatively unseasoned. Overall lunch was a bit heavy ... There is no luncheon menu. Prices for center city were on the high side. Without alcoholic drinks 30$ pp with tip . Sports bar .....

Made this place our local while we visited Philadelphia. The menu is vast with a different array of options, priced reasonably. Highly recommend some of the pizzas! Large selection of beers and the staff were very helpful in explaining some of the different brands and letting us sample some. It is located right under the convention centre so make sure you pop in if in the area!

We were in town for the weekend and needed to grab a quick bite while our NBA team was playing an important playoff game. Randomly stopped in Field House because we had seen the sign on the way to Reading Market. The food was not gourmet but it was OK. The Beer was cold, the server showed up often enough to be useful and we had a great view of the game on TV. I would probably not go back unless I was watching a game on TV. But hey - if my game was on TV this is a go to joint to watch and cheer on your team.

I came because it is a famous sports bar in center city. But the service was poor and slow. It was like we did not exist some times. The place is huge. I think is expensive and that might be just for the area, because the food was not great. Beer is also quite expensive. I would not come back.

We arrived for lunch as the ASHA conference was letting out and the restaurant was flooded with SLPs but the hostesses let us know that two servers were late and they stalled seating us. Once the waitress arrived, she waited on tables that had arrived after us and sort of ignored our table and another couple next to us. We were both seated before these other tables. She did apologize and didn't charge us for a drink but she admitted she was just striving to work and sort of blamed the hostesses for not telling her we were seated. We were in clear view. I noticed that the other ladies complained whereas we were very kind about the delay. The waitress served them and they left before we even got our food. I guess the squeaky wheel really does get the oil. Once our food arrived we were famished and it was very satisfying. I wasn't crazy about the appetizer options or I could have ordered an appetizer. I recommend potato skins for an appetizer and management might should have a serious talk with hostesses and waitresses. They were a mess on this particular day.

Firstly, there are really not a lot of beers to choose from. I thought there would be hundreds of local breweries represented there like a lot of the bars in Detroit. They had a decent selection of local beer, but I was hoping for more. If you come to a local place like this and complain that they don't have Budweiser and other national brands you're really starting on the wrong foot and missing out. Secondly, the menu does not have a very wide selection of food to choose from. On the contrary, I ordered the Cheese Steak Dumplings which were amazingly good, and the Trenton Fries, which was probably one of the better dishes I have eaten in the past 5 years. I strongly recommend you try it out if you like the ingredients. Lastly, the service, while the waitress was super nice, and helpful in explaining some of the things on the menu (it's not traditional bar food by any stretch) we found ourselves waiting for refills more often than not. It is not a gripe with her in particular because I noticed other customers in other sections having similar issues, that falls on the management. Throw in a little training session, expand your beer selection with local micro breweries and you've got yourself a winning sports bar in a fabulous location!

I attended two events here during a conference. One was a relatively small event in a private room (50-100 people). It had excellent food buffet and good beer. Very nice room. The other was an event I sponsored for about 400 people. That took most of the first floor of the bar. The staff could not have been better. The beer selection was great. The manager and staff made this simple for us and did a great job. I could not recommend it more highly for a casual event.

Stopped in for a quick bite in Phili, bar and grill is just ok, nothing special. I have been to better.

Great place to have drinks and watch the games but the food was very average, nothing to rave about. Service was just ok.

The only reason I am giving a 1.0 is because I came here for a charity event... the service was horrible! We asked from the pretzels and we're told " they are complimentary and bringing them out" we did not receive said complimentary pretzels. 45 mins.later(tried to get anyone's attention) to order food. Note place was not busy at all even though there was a charity event... finally ordered wings and calamari. Wings came out hot; calamari came out COLD. Not to mention took 20 minutes for drinks... ordered a drink on "draught" received a bottle beer from same brewery but different beer than ordered. Did I mention place was not by any means busy? Their wings were good... also tried to order the smores cheesecake only to be told 15 mins.later they were out. Okay understandable to be out, but 15 minutes later!? Will not be returning again, if said charity choosing this place again will eat before hand and most definitely not order ANYTHING! Note: Leaving the same review on multiple sites.

Stopped here after all day convention and it was exactly what we were looking for. A down-home bar where everyone is super friendly and the beers were ice cold. Not too crowded and a great way to enjoy to evening with friends.

The staff here is really friendly- even overly so when their friends show up and they're yelling overtop of you to talk to one another about their weekend plans. Whatever, it IS a bar. The smell of old beer and sweat (think old frat house) is overpowering. The cocktails are ok, but not enough to get past the other stuff.

Tried to grab a bite to eat and some drinks while in Philly this past weekend. Both evenings the staff said they had no place for us to sit despite plenty if open tables . tried for just drinks... No luck there either. Staff inattentive and uncaring that 11 people willing to spend money were not getting waited on. Tried again the next night...same thing. Room full of empty tables. Staff said we couldn't sit there. No ..they weren't reserved staff said. Just not available for us to sit. Picture attached shows empty dining room. Out the door we all went and we will not return. Found a nice place down the road and had a great meal.

Went with a group of friends to hang out for a few hours. Large tables high and low. Several TVs to watch games on. Nice friendly environment. Our waiter was awesome got us happy hour prices before they expired. I had some wings which tasted good to many in the large order for one person. Will be back next time I am in town.

The bar has a cool layout and is very convenient to downtown. The drink selection is good and the food is good bar food. The problem is the service: terrible. The bartenders pretty much ignore you and couldn't be less friendly. They were interested in doing everything but serving the customers. If I wasn't staying at a nearby hotel, I wouldn't return.

We went here with family due to the location and the atmosphere. We went in from the Reading Terminal Market side and stood for 5 minutes before we realized that we needed to go to the opposite side to be seated. Once seated, the waitress seemed a bit annoyed that we had some questions. I decided on a sausage pizza, which was ok, over the Cuban. My cousin did get the Cuban and told me the bread was hard as a rock. My other cousin had Mac and Cheese bites that came with marinara sauce and another dipping sauce. He said they were bland and didn't eat them all. My daughter and wife got a salad. My wife said her salad was good, but my daughter basically got a crouton salad with a side of Caesar salad. Wait staff was not around to top off drinks. Won't go back here again.

The takeout was horrible. I asked if they had plastic ware in the bag and they said yes. There was no plastic ware and no where close to get it. They charged me full price with no meat because they were out of steak. I also gave a nice tip and got horrible service and aggravation.

I was here with my hubby and son attending a private event in the adjoining room off the main bar. The staff was attentive and the food was pretty good for the price since we were in center city. We also found $8 parking a block away which was also reasonable.

I stop in here about every 3 months. Well I stopped in here yesterday and was really disappointed. Although it wasn't very busy the service was a little slow. The menu lacked any creativity and was very limited. We had burgers and cheese steaks both of which were very forgettable. The burger was a two-patty deal on a nice brioche roll, but the burgers were formed and previously frozen. They were cooked very well-done, I asked for it to be medium but the server said that they could not request cooking temperatures. The cheese steak was exceptionally average. I would not go back to this place, it is like their meats, past their prime.

Needed a fast place to grab food later in the evening. Happily found the Field House. Lots of seating, full bar and good food. I ordered Buffalo Wings, and a couple of us shared the chili cheese fries and fried calamari. All very good. Pizza comes in two sizes and the small is pretty big. Prices are a little higher than other places, but understandable with the convenient location near the Marriott, Courtyard Marriott, and convention center. It’s located just to the right entering the underpass of the Reading Terminal Market when coming from the Marriotts. They have a big selection of beers, but was sad to see the full bar had no Kahlua, so no Espresso Martini or White Russians. But happy overall. It is loud, so not a great business meeting place, but definitely a great place to get together with friends. Probably really fun on game nights.

Sports bar on entrance to train station. Fairly busy place I was alone and seated very quickly. Waitress was friendly. I went for the mussels that were very tasty. Washed down with a couple of Miller lite. Would return when next in Philly

Went there on a Saturday evening around 8 to watch a soccer game. Got a seat at the bar and the barkeep changed the channel so we could see the game. He was friendly and made sure we had what we needed. The other bar staff seemed cold and robotic. We ordered a cheese steak and some wings to share. The sweet chili sauce was tasty and the soft roll on the cheese steak was delicious. The house made chips were the best I have had. So many times they are over fried but these were golden and crispy. By the end of the game the place was packed and hard to move. As we left we noticed they were now charging a cover.

Stopped in to kill a little time and have a few pints before catching the train to the airport. Staff at bar was not only friendly but also easy on the eyes. Beer was cold. Selection was good. Prices were reasonable. I'd return

Food was ok. Atmosphere was decent. Probably wouldn’t eat there again if I knew the surrounding area better.

It's a very average place with a good beer selection. Food was good, mushroom truffle pizza was great. Buffalo chicken one was ok. All and all, we had a good night. It was nice to be able to watch my Brewers play the Phillies there as well.

Disappointed. Seemed like a cool place. Hard to get drink on busy night. Service poor. Food was less than average and pricey. Poor quality food with small portions.

Not bad, not great. Decent beer selection, mediocre service. Was lucky enough to see Eagles Cowboys there so the crowd was interesting.

Good variety of food choices, was pretty busy and didn't seem like there was a high ratio of staff to customers for a Saturday night.

Had early dinner. Place disorganized. Service un-attentive. No atmosphere. No sports feeling. Had Pizza which was ok at best. Will not return.

This was a late night visit for a night cap and it was very close to my hotel. Restaraunt The outside has the typcial neon beer logo signs in the windows, and after walking in you are greeting to a large sports bar with TV's pretty much everywhere. Overall it was a very clean place, as were the washrooms. Beer They have a decent craft beer selection, but for a place this big I would suggest that they could do so much better sourcing local beers. Service The service was good, mind you was sitting at the bar but the two bar tenders were friendly, but it appeared that they were eagre to close up and go home. i would go back and would like to see what this place is like during a football Sunday.

I was in town for a week-long beer convention and the Field House was very convenient to both the hotel and the convention- literally down the escalator- and they were showing Champions League football on every screen, so I had high hopes for this place. The beer selection was extensive, but half the taps were 1. not functioning 2. not yet on or 3. there was some other unknown issue. Unfortunate, as the food was fantastic- fish tacos were great, as were the salads and the cheese steak (maybe not "authentic", but my exploration time was very limited), though the service was some of the worst I've had in recent memory. We sat at the bar and either the staff had grown to hate everyone due to the conference attendees (frankly very, very possible) or else were unable to multitask. We gave it a shot a second time (due to convenience factor) and waited an exceedingly long time to order, only to again be told half of the beers were unavailable for random reasons. Really a pity overall, as the food almost made it worth the aggravation and price- bumped the rating to 'average' only because of it.

1:00 in the afternoon walked in the door for beer and lunch after attending the flower show and was rudely carded at the door by some buffed up guy that looked like he was on steroids. Instant turn off -I had one of their $8 beers and left. What bar cards at 1:00 in the afternoon -get a life.

A nice place to visit and see the games, lots of TVs. Very busy and hopping. Friendly staff, great music. Large area to hide with your friends. The menu is large and has plenty of options for everyone. Good wings and great onion rings. Visit for the game and fun

This is right next to my hotel the Philadelphia Marriott which made this real convenient. Good cold local beer and the Stanley Cup on tv made this a great place to hang out instead of walking around the city. Solid place!

My expectations were low as we walked in to the Field House. It is all sports bar style. But, we 3 ladies were VERY PLEASED with our lunch. Casaer Salad, Harvest salad (bacon, spinach and lots of extras) AND mine was a great Mediterranean platter. Kitchen, per my request, had a nice, fresh variety of raw veggies, with hummus, an olive salad (very good) and a generous portion of warm pita wedges. I also asked for a side of bleu cheese dressing which was DELICIOUS! My friends agreed. That was so special & good. Weather was pretty raw outside. The flower show was just opening. Due to the winter storm the restaurant was pretty quiet and it was a late lunch. As I read some other reviews I couldn't believe my eyes. We loved our lunch, the service! All was great and would definitely dine here again.

Never going back there how could you not have the too fastest selling beers in the whole USA.food not bad but a little pricie

Stopped into Field House for a midday drink with some friends. Was kind of funny walking in as there was no greeter or any staff in the front of the restaurant when we went in. Took some seats at the bar, after a couple minutes a bartender came over to take care of us. I would describe his demeanor as somewhere between nice and casually disinterested, but we got a kick out of him nonetheless. The beer selection was pretty good and the prices weren't too bad, I tried the Yards Brawler, a popular Philly beer which I definitely recommend. My friend got a Moscow Mule and was disappointed when it didn't come in the copper mug that it usually does, but otherwise I think it was pretty good. Overall I had a good time at Field House, and would certainly stop in for a beer again if I was in the area.

If you want to watch sports, this is the place. Over 30 TV’s and they have all the games. The food is typical bar food. There are lots of beer choices. The staff is very friendly.

A group of us traveled here to see a band that was playing. We were early enough to find seats at the bar and were quickly greeted by a friendly bartender. Decent selection of beers. Not all of the bartenders were as friendly as the first. One in particular really had an attitude and appeared to be miserable. We shared an order of calamari and it wasn't the best. A bit on the chewy side, but it was delivered promptly. There were televisions everywhere so if you were here to take in a game I'm assuming this would be a good spot. The restrooms were a disaster but I guess that could be blamed more on the patrons than the establishment. Still, I had to make sure I wasn't trailing toilet paper from my shoes. I would have no reason to return here unless a band was playing here that I wanted to see.

Sports bar with terrible service. We were seated promptly, but wait staff was slooow. Food ok, very load. Not very friendly.

Lots of tvs so you can see from any view. Pretty good food. Pretty bad service if you get a table, though (food is slow and servers tend to disappear for long periods of time without checking in).

Stopped by for dinner while we were at the flower show. Because of the snow that day the show and restaurant were not very busy. Been here in prior years and usually a wait but not this time. Food was good about what is expected in a restaurant like this. The beer was awesome, I had an excellent porter and my wife enjoyed a good stout. Always has been a good stop for a meal during the flower show, especially since don't have to go outside to get here. We'll go back again.

They did a great job handling the World Cup with a huge projector and countless tv in a very big and spacious place. We were there for the last three games and every time the bar staff were great, and the food was good. Amazing beer selection, and they really take pride in their work. Nice job Field House.

The Field House is just a jumble - no real rhyme or reason to table layout - it is as if the rest of the place is an afterthought aside from the bar. The layout seems to influence the waitstaff - we waited along time for service - we tried to get service, but waitresses kept referring us to "our" waitress, who was a long time arriving. It was difficult to discern the territory for individual waitresses, and it seemed like service for many patrons was suffering as a result. The food was pretty good, our first choice beer was out...we just weren't that impressed. A loud, confusing, sports bar that needs some attention paid to organization and management of the diners at the tables.

Beer was good, lots of TVs, food was fair. Got stuck there due to poor planning on my part. People were friendly enough. Really disappointed in the food though. Had the house burger which were two cheap patties put together. Server was a young untrained server. So, don't expect much.

Visited here during happy hour and was not impressed with the very limited menu of beers that qualified. The food menu was also limited. The waitress and staff were great though and even when an issue came up during our meal it was quickly taken care of. The food we got was good and hot just unimpressed with their selections

Wish we would have been able to come back for the live music. Very large bar environment. Decent menu. Shared a Philly Steak sandwich and it was pretty darn good and ample for two people with a split of fries.

I visited the USA with family in September 2014, and during this time we visited a variety of bars, hotels and restaurants in Boston, New York, Washington D.C and Philadelphia. I can happily say that I absolutely loved this place. The service was good and the staff polite. There was an excellent selection of beers (96 I believe). I counted no less than 12 flat screen TV's spread around the bar with various sports channels on. I would love to be in the bar for an Eagles game! Should I be passing through Philadelphia again, I will visit this bar again

I'm a local who has been here many times because they have a decent selection of craft beer on tap. Their menu is limited but the brick oven pizza is good. Location is great for locals and tourists, as it's right next to the commuter trains, 11th St El stop, Hard Rock Cafe & Reading Terminal Market. As another reviewer noted, the service can be erratic. They seem to have a revolving door of college student staffers who prefer to interact with each other rather than the customers. Still, it's popular with locals and tourists.

Good bar next to station to enjoy a drink and a snack while waiting for a train at Jefferson. The Yards Philly ale is good but the Gamewatch Bloody is a taste delight with a big kick.Service is good and friendly.

Went there as a party of 4 to watch an Eagles game. Although the restaurant was only 30% filled, we had to wait to finally get seated and than it took forever until the waitress showed up. Burger and soup of the day was ok, nothing spectacular - Steak Salad was good. Ordering a 2nd round of drinks took another 20 minutes and the tables next to us weren't cleaned for an hour: Looking at empty plates and chicken bones at the neighboring tables was disgusting. TV screens are a big plus - this place needs a competent service manager, than this place would rock.

Went with a work group. Beer and appies. Wings were very good. They have a chili wing as the house which was good but the Buffalo were even better. Also tried the Pretzel as well as the homemade potato chip nacho. Everything was great. Brittney was awesome behind the bar.

Walking around after being pushed and shoved in Reading Market, looking for a burger and beer. We happened upon this place. Huge bar, lots of beers on tap, and exactly the type of food my wife and I were looking for. The bartenders were great about giving me a sample of one their many craft beers on tap. We got exactly what we wanted, a good large burger, fries and beer and could walk back to our hotel. Bartender went beyond the call of duty by getting me a couple of types of mustard for my food. Moderate prices. One negative was every TV was on the same game. Saturday afternoon with all the choices, that was surprising. Not often you get exactly what you want, but here we did.

Stopped here twice to grab a cold brew after work. The choices are good and service was prompt. Also ordered the wings appetizer and a hummus platter. Both were good.

I had salad to start with followed by pork chop as the main dish. The plate of salad was enormous and left me quite full before I was served the pork chop with to my surprise was served as a sandwich with crisps. The food was very average. Service was good and efficient.

A little loud. Very poor service. Small menu. We got cheesesteak - they were not good at all. Though sitting on the other side of the restaurant we could clearly hear the event on the other side which was a trivia competition backed by live music. Really. When we first walked in the band was playing and we thought it would be great live music in background. But after one song they simply did trivia questions.

So I'm visiting Philly and decide to give this place a try since I'm down at the Reading Market area anyway. They had 40? beers on tap and there were a few I wanted to try. I order a beer and the bartender told me it would be $6. I said OK. She asked "Would you like to start a tab?" I wanted to say - "No, am I in college again? I'm guessing they were worried I would bolt from the restaurant after I chugged my beer! Ha! Anyway - I go ahead and give her my credit card. I'm guessing they've had problems with people skipping out on their bar tabs. Kind of surprising since we were in a touristy area. It's not like we were near a college campus. I ordered dinner a little while later and got the 1/2 roasted chicken with a side of roasted potatoes. It was much better than I expected for "bar food". All in all, I'm glad I stayed. The beer was good and the food was as well. I was just taken aback that they would ask patrons for their credit card before serving the first beer...

It was ok for dinner. Better for lunch. Food was average. Location was convenient for our family to get to.

We were hoping to eat at the Terminal Market, but the crowds were unbelievable, so we opted to try the Field House. Not only did it provide a comfortable atmosphere ( seats and awesome music selection), but the food was excellent and the service by Kathryn was outstanding. I had a tasty Local Shandy cocktail, which, thanks to Kathryn, i will be able to make at home. We all share a ginormous plate of house made kettle chips liberally topped with meat and cheese. I shared a pepperoni pizza that did not disappoint. Excellent crust and spicy pepperoni. My friends had the Italian Tuna salad, which was huge and filled with good quality ingredients and excellent dressing. Skip the hectic mess of the market and come in here for some civilization!

Bar is huge with lots of seating available. Tons of TVs for college and professional sports. They dont have pitchers of beer but they have buckets which includes 6 beers. Drink specials during multiple games. Food is pricey but the amount is well worth it. Great for philly and PSU sports.

It was a little pricey and had a limited menu. More of a bar than restaurant. The food we did get was good, just need more options.

Probably the worst dining experience service-wise I have ever had. No one at hostess stand...waited & waited....should have taken this red flag & walked then but finally someone came and sat us and gave us menus. Again we waited & waited....I started searching my phone for nearby options that were still open at 9pm on Sunday night....not much but would have been better off anywhere else. We approached 2 other servers and asked for help. Finally a guy came took drink orders....brought them back (btw they were out of like the first 3 beer types we tried to order....!). Then he said they were really busy and short staffed. We ordered some sandwiches. Not too long later, a food runner dropped them off....no silverware, no napkins....nothing, server NEVER came back. I mean never. Not to check on us, not to bring the bill. Nothing. After about 30 minutes, we did our best calculation and threw some cash on the table and walked out. The food was not bad, but certainly nothing special.

Food was average. I’d say a little pricy for the bar food in Philadelphia. Went during the eagles playoff game & the atmosphere was awesome. Lots of fans cheering!

This is a huge place and stumbled upon it when looking fora bar to watch the basketball playoffs on my last night in town. Heaven for a sports fan but also full of suits who were obviously in town for the conference center nearby. I had a few beers some decent wings and watched game. TVs everywhere showing baseball, hockey and basketball when I was there. The barmaid was great, charm and pretty but some reason was off to Blackpool, UK for a holiday, she made my night. One problem bar shut too early

The service as this bar and grill is certainly lacking. The restaurant was not busy but yet I waited and waited for a refill. It was obvious that 2 bartenders saw my empty glass but they continued to talk and ignore me. They were more interested in who another server was dating. "She says she's not interested in him but I know they are really dating". Food was okay. Chicken sandwich dry. Pass this one up.

As bad as it sounds, we ended up here 3 nights in a row. If you want a bar thats close to the hotel, this is the place to be. The service was generally really good. That being said there were a few bartenders that focused more on talking to cute guys than helping others get their drinks. Maybe I'm jealous that I'm not the cute guy? Perhaps, but my money is as green as his and she has a job to do. Get his number when you're on break and not behind the bar. I just want to get some beer and relax with friends. The only food I had was a nacho/chip platter with cheese and pulled pork. It was MASSIVE and tasted pretty good too. I would not suggest trying to eat that solo. I left half of it on the bar when I left.

Decided to try this place for dinner after the auto show. We sat...and sat...and sat for about 20 minutes until someone decided to help us. Ordered drinks and they came 10 minutes later. Ordered food which came surprisingly fast but our appetizer came out with our meal and we had no silver wear. 5 minutes later silver wear came. Asked for refills and you can pretty much guess how that went. Please don't waste your time

Walked in and there wasn’t a hostess station so someone said seat yourself at a table. No problem, but no one ever showed up. 15 minutes later I walked out. Food may be good, but they really need to work on service. Major disappointment.

Each of the past five or six years of attending the Philadelphia Flower Show we have eaten at the Field House. Food has been ok and the beer selections have been good: but for us its real draw is proximity to the PhilConventionCenter. This year the PFS coincided with the beginnings of March Madness. The Field House's noise level when we went over for dinner was right at deafening from the blaring TVs and overhead speakers. For a dinner setting for us it just didn't work. We just couldn't stay. FWIW we will probably come back next year if the show and March Madness don't run at the same time.

This is a typical sport bar in US with a lot of TVs showing Basketball games with the same Menu. We ate a very nice Mushroom Pizza with local draft beers. The service was just ok. The place is huge, so we waited just 15 minutes the have a table.

If your looking for a Sports Bar this difiniately fits the bill. Cold beers and good Nachos, but for me that was it.. it was more like a mans pub, not the place to hang out too long in for a female.

Was in the city for a wedding, we stopped here between the ceremony and reception. The bar staff was very rude and had the "I'm doing you a favor" attitude. We were expecting 40-50 friends to join us, however we all started texting the others and went down the street to Bar-Ly and had a great time. The field house saw the last of us, as many of us live in the Philly area, we will not be reurning here.

It is located in the Convention Center complex adjacent to City Hall. If you are in downtown center city Philly it's a good place to get a decent reasonably priced lunch. Traditional pub food and good beer selection. We had fish tacos--decent but not great; and grilled chicken club sandwich--good.

This is a typical sports bar. Lots of TV's, good bar food, and large beer selelction. I came during lunch. I did not eat - I had a couple of the local beers.

We have tried to come here on three separate occasions for football games on Sunday and every single time it has been closed for a private party!!! Unacceptable!

Bigger Sports Bar with good selection of drinks and food and lots of tvs for those looking to watch games on tv.

Great service, great food and the locals are very welcoming here. We stopped in for a late snack adn ordered teh happy hour popcorn and it was great. Popcorn with bacon bits peanuts and chives yummo.

Started out with the calamari but half of it was hot peppers my family couldn't eat. Burgers had had two patties not cooked the same way (one medium, other well done). Staff will play the blaming game of why it was the way it was. This was our second Spring Break having come to Philly - first visit was not so great either unrelated to food issues, but we won't be going back to this establishment.

First the positives, good beer selection and plenty of tv's. Now the rest, at 3:00 it smelled like stale beer. We were seated next to a table of seriously hammered girls, 12 to be exact, after their 3rd shot of tequila and us not having seen a server, it was time to go.

First time at the restaurant. ..before the auto show. A large group tried different dishes. The Cobb salad was not your typical Cobb salad. It had greens and eggs and blue cheese. The bacon bits were inedible on my salad as well as another in our party. The calamari was fairly bland. The chicken and steak add on for the salads were just okay. Overall, I was disappointed as were my lunch mates.

We were here for a private party. The food was excellent. We had choices of many Philly favorites like cheese steaks, pretzels and fries. Open bar was great. It was also the USA women's soccer semi final so the atmosphere was really great. This is a fun place.

We needed a place to eat that was reasonably close to our hotel & open late. Found this place & gave it a shot. Terribly disappointed. Ordered food only, so maybe this would be a fun place for a drink with friends or to watch a game, but it was a horrible place for a decent meal. Menu was limited & food was a little weird. Philly cheesesteak tasted like it came from a 7-Eleven, fries were cold, and server had to ASK if we wanted plates. What?! Truly, I would have been happier with a bag of chips & a candy bar.

We stopped in after a somewhat disappointing lunch at the Terminal and wiled away two hours drinking, watching Mets preseason games and playing bar games. The beer selection was solid if unspectacular, but I think that was more of a product of what they had on tap at that moment. Service was friendly and quick, though the prices were a bit closer to NYC than I expected.

After a long day of touristy things, my family wandered into this restaurant for an afternoon lunch. Kids ordered burgers, we had very good salads. I really enjoyed the big pretzel with dips. The bacon topped popcorn was not as interesting as expected. There was a nice beer selection which really hit the spot after a hot day walking around the city.

We were there are a school trip. We were treated to Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches and pretzels. The Philly Cheese Steaks were okay and we could have seconds. The pretzels were good. We felt their could have been a little more like fries and salad or veggies and dip. Service was a little slow but, then again, we were 55+ people. The place was a very nice SPORTS BAR with huge screen TVs.

Burger, chips and spinach dip were great. The Atmosphere was ok. Lots of TVS to watch games but TVS very loud. Service was a bit slow in the beginning

not a lot to say... food was decent and the TV selection was great... prices were high and the service guys were too busy

This wasn't an awful experience, but I wasn't impressed, and this will be my only visit here. Quite pricey. The quesadillas we're very good, but not worth $14. Their kids pizza was okay. We ate here between 6-7pm on a Wednesday. Not busy at all. Our server wasn't very attentive. Lots of TV's here, but only three games on all of them. Hard Rock, a block away, would have b3n a better choice.

Took the train into the city for a night out. Stopped into the restaurant, we had a great time. Excellent staff, food and drinks were delicious.

This guy will only enhance your experience! He will suggest unique combos, recipes, and beers. He isn't a snob for one type of beer over another, so he sees the pro's and con's of every brew and will be willing to help you decide. He is fast paced, so don't expect him to coddle you while you make a decision. But you will get great service and awesome suggestions. This is a general pub environment with higher quality food than the average tavern. Great pricing for the value.

My co-worker and I went here because the hotel staff had recommended it. I am surprised to see the not so nice reviews. I thought this was pretty good. I liked the beer, the hummus plate, and the seats were nice sized. I would recommend going here--it is close to Reading Terminal Market.

Staff were very friendly, however, they were changing menus over and we couldn't seem to get the correct menu. Pizza was great!!

We were visiting philly for a conference. Came to this place twice. First night we got seates right away and service was great, place was busy. We got Nachos which were good and the mushroom pizza was awesome.Second night, penn state was playing so it was packed, very busy. We were told we would probably wait a long time to be seated, which we waited only ten minutes. Service was a bit slow but understandable since it was very busy. We ordered the Field house stack burger and it was delicious, juicy and very good flavor.

Chicken wings with ranch dressing was excellent and the deep fried ice cream with cool whip and chocolate and carmel drizzled over it oh my it was delicious 😋

So the idea of giving your name to the hostess seems pretty clear. You give her your name, they tell you 'about' how long it will be until a table is ready, and then you wait patiently. So after being told "20 minutes" we waited at the bar. Fair enough, the bartender was friendly and the beer selection was very nice. So after 2 drafts and 35 minutes I walked on over to the ever alert hostess who seemed keen on getting her long hair extra twisty, and requested an update on my table. "Oh about 20 to 30 minutes". So I asked if that was to be added on to the original 20 minutes. She looked stumped. So I walked back to the bar and my date and I decided to forgo any further refreshments seeing how it had been quite a whiled since we last ate and the minutes were seemingly longer here than other places on the globe. So after another 20 minutes I walked back over to the fine hostess and requested an update. "Oh, about 20 minutes or so". So I said, "That's 20 minutes plus 30 minutes plus another 20 minutes which is....well let's say over an hour, correct"? And she replied "Well we have to make calculations and estimations and compare them to table availability". So we left the emporium of science and went to the Hard Rock next door. No science just dinner.

We had my wife’s 40th birthday afterparty there. The staff helped with getting reserved tables for our party ahead of time and we had free drink coupons given to us. The staff was pleasant and service was great. I would definitely go for watching a band and or watching sports.

My wife and I stopped in after going to Home Show in the convention center. The place is huge and appears to be a nice place to hang out and have a couple brews and watching a soccer match. That was our intent when we sat at the bar. But as we ordered the first couple draughts , we were told they were all out. We mentioned three and the bartender rattled off about four more. These are some of the more popular craft drafts. The bartender was very nice and explained they had been slammed the night before with soccer people. There was a soccer coaches convention in the center...so why wasn't the person in charge of inventory aware of the convention and the possible influx of business? Bad excuse and bad inventory management. We left without ordering anything. too bad

Had to scour around to find a hostess..then seated but no menus..didn’t see any ..then Sam came cheerily to ask our drink order..that came but no menus..she huffed off and I had to get up and go to the hostess stand to find them, but none... I stopped another waitress going by, and she said she would bring them and she finally did...decent one sided menu...it said all sandwiches came with chips or salad..so we assumed that held for all of them..when the bill came, we were charged extra for the salad.. no way did our waitress see the writing of the menu..she was sure that salad was extra..we got the manager who told us the same thing- extra for salad..but as a courtesy, he would remove that charge..at least the food was good..please try their homemade veggie burger and their grilled cheese..both good..we tried this since all other restaurants on the street had closed due to a snow alert(there was only slush)

This review is based on drinks only. We stopped early Sunday afternoon and there were only a few other customers. This place is huge and plays loud music. (Full disclosure we're 57) The (3) bartenders were all very friendly. This is a sports bar and understandably caters to a younger crowd.

The waitstaff were friendly enough, but the service was very slow. The buffalo pizza was delicious and the sandwiches were great too. Perhaps go for a different option than the french fries... Other than that, the food was great, just be ready to wait. The prices are a tad high for what you get.

I went here during a large conference at the convention center. I choose the place because it wasn't too crowded like most other places, while this is often a bad idea I was very tired. There were plenty of empty tables, but I still had to wait 5 minutes or so to get seated. It took quite a while to order and much longer to get the food. The first beer I ordered was out, so I had to get my second choice, still there were lots to choose from. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak sub and a salad. When the food finally arrived the salad came with a side of ketchup rather than dressing. I was never ask what dressing I wanted, so I guess ketchup is the default for anything there. The salad was a nice mixture of fresh greens rather than the typical iceberg lettuce. The sub was full of beef, but there was no visible trace of cheese and very few onions (very well cooked onions). It had nothing else on it, no mayo or lettuce or tomatoes. The roll was fresh and over all the sub was good, but could have been much better. I also ordered bread pudding for dessert; I was very hungry since was hadn't been able to eat breakfast that day. The bread pudding was very good, and the portion size was huge. Over all the place is acceptable, though probably not the best place to eat in the area. Don't go there is your in a hurry it took over an hour for my meal.

Our family arrived at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn in the evening and needed a place within walking distance to eat dinner. With the Reading Terminal Market closed for the night, we tried Field House and were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very good with TVs everywhere, so it would be a good place to watch sports. The menu was not huge, but it had options of entrees, sandwiches, salads and burgers along with a good selection of beer (draught and bottles/cans) and wine. I had he grilled chicken Cobb salad, and it was excellent. The dressing was not too heavy, and it was a great mix of fresh lettuce, greens and toppings. Everything was very fresh, and be pesto on the chicken was a nice addition. My wife had the chicken club with a greed chicken breast on it, and that was also very good. The prices were about what I'd expect for downtown, and he service was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, it was a great start to our visit and we'd go back!

Positives: Ample televisions to view sports. Multiple sports games to be viewed. Seating available at bar for meals, if desired. Not swarming with a crowd. Ample beer choices - if that's your thing. Some games available that might appeal to kids / teens. Issues: inattentive, unmanaged, overloaded wait staff. No one working hostess desk - waited 5 minutes for someone to ask if they could help. Hostess not dressed so she could be identified. We waited 20 minutes for drink order to be taken. Limited menu of 'dinner' choices. Slow delivery of meal. Slow delivery of check / bill & then really slow return to take credit card. Noisy place even though it was not crowded. Background music far too loud. Unattractive setting / no ambiance. Clearly suited for convention crowds. Not suited for small children or elders.

I was skeptical at first because prices were high for a North Dakota person as I but the food was fantastic. The appetizer pretzel was excellent as well as the Field House Steak Sandwich. We would DEFINITELY come here again!!

Walking around Philly for a weekend trip and wanting to have lunch. Too many chains and found this place. Seemed kind of dark (I guess it is a sports bar) but very good experience. Enthusiastic server and pretty good food. We split arugula salad and mushroom pizza. (we requested adding sausage to the mushroom pizza which they did) Felt like they had pride in their menu not just sports bar fare....

I dropped in here for the afternoon, to catch the football game, prior to dinner. It was not really crowded, but it took me over 5 minutes to get served, and I was seated at the bar. The server was more interested in flirting with the other bar staff than serving customers. They have a good selection of TVs, much like you would expect in any sports bar. Match of the day on the big screen. They have a good selection of beers to choose from. The first beer tasted like the glass had just come out of the dishwasher and had not been rinsed. The bar tender made it up by offering a sampling of the brews on tap to determine what I would like to drink. All in all, an average sports bar in a convenient location.

Stopped with my husband and kids for a beer and a bite after the philly auto show. Despite the restaurant being relatively empty we were told the wait for a table was approximately 40 minutes. We ended up ordering at the bar, not easy with 2 kids. The bartender was oblivious and took forever to be flagged down. She was too busy telling everyone she would be done soon and asking if they would close their tabs. Our food took no less than 35 minutes to come. Pitiful for a burger and fries. The food was nothing to write home about. The fries were extra crispy. The burger seemed quite well done. The bun was soggy and rather tasteless. All in all, I think we will try elsewhere next time.

Stopped in for an appetizer & drinks on evening. The atmosphere is great for a sports bar. Cool bar. TV's everywhere. Spacious seating. However the service was eh... so so... It wasn't BAD but we had to wave the waitress down to get refills, get our check... even to place our initial order. And we were hoping to sample local brews (which hthis place advertises) but the waitress has absolutely clueless about them & just kept pointing us at the menu when we'd ask questions. Food was okay. But... just a so so experience overall.

Nice place to grab a beer and enjoy the games. We had the Philly Cheesesteak style pizza. Pleasantly surprised with the flavor and the crust was nice and crispy. The service was very friendly. Would recommend to stop by when in the area.

I found this to be a fairly typical sports pub. The burger and fries were good. The atmosphere was standard. The best part is that it was nearby my hotel and I was able to get seated quickly.

We stopped in here with the kids for lunch the other day, when we determined that Reading Terminal Market was too crowded for our brood (three kids, 7, 5 and 1). They are not really set up for kids (its a Bar, after all). No high chairs, kids menu, or chocolate milk. But we made it work with a big booth and sodas. The kids really enjoyed their cheesesteak, while the wife and I had the meatball pizza, which was OK. I also tried the wings. Not much in the non-spicy offering, so I had to eat them all myself. The place also has some games and things, like foosball hockey, and plenty of TVs showing sports. You can probably keep a 10 year old entertained there while enjoying some food, and it seems like a good place for a game. Not the best place for a family lunch with little kids, but you can definitely make it work

Let me start by saying any time the beer menu is longer (and in the case of this place) has twice as many options as the food served, you know it's not going to be fine dining. Food choices are a very limited selection of typical pub food. I guess the thing that draws people is the beer. What's great about the place is it's BIG. Can accommodate 1 person at the bar to 10-12 people at picnic tables to entire groups in separate rooms. But what's strange is the place despite being really big has one small men's room. I visited the bathroom several times during an extended stay last Saturday. There was always a line to get in. That's a first. I've seen bigger bathrooms in McDonalds. The food was just OK. Service was slow but our waitress seemed to have too many tables. She was really busy. Place strikes me as an over-sized "locals" bar as people weren't nasty but also not too friendly.

We generally stop in the Fieldhouse when we are in town and staying at one of the nearby Marriott hotels. They have a good selection of beers and descent bar food. Its a good place to watch sports. We have watched college football and hockey here. Being in downtown Philly its not a great place for us Penguin fans, but the patrons have only given us a bit of a hassle there when watching the Pens! The wait staff have always been friendly and quick to refill our drinks.

Great sport bar. Location next to hotel and good atmosphere. Food and beer choices were plentiful and prices ok.

Had some local drafts. Reasonable prices. Good service with daily specials. Bar food (but we did't have any). Not too noisy so you can have conversations

We stopped in here for a quick bite. They had pretty typical food for a sports bar. We had a great server. That saved it from being painfully average. They had a good dessert menu with stuff big enough to share.

Typical sports bar in Philly. Nothing special, nothing really wrong. Front staff were not too interested in getting us a table, our waiter was much more on the ball. We were in a hurry, the beer was cold, pizza was good, service was fast. Lots of TV's to watch a game, seemed like a decent beer selection.

Very nice Bar at the Reading market. Decent beer choice, good atmosphere and reasonable prices. Not to quiet and not too loud.

It's an ok place, nothing that stands out or anything. It could be any sports bar. Beer selection looks like a lot, but it's not. I think I was over charged as well.

Lots of beer choices on tap. Decent bar food. It can get really loud and crowded. Fun with a group for a game.
Kicked Out for sepecial event
With over 30 TV this is a sports bar with a view at any seat. Lots of different draft beers as well. I stopped in for dinner and to watch the hockey playoffs. I ordered the N Y Strip cooked medium, and substituted the roasted potatoes for the spinach. I received my NY Strip medium in the middle, well on one end and rare on the other. It was a tasty piece of meat. I also received the spinach I asked be replace with the potatoes and never received the parmesan–herb frites I was looking forward to trying. After dinner I went to the bar to watch the balance of the game. Shortly after getting a barstool I was told to finish my drink and they were closing for a special event. Though I could go outside and pay $10.00 to get back in I was quite annoyed. Kudos to the manager though as I expressed my displeasure he did say he instructed the employees to let everyone who cam in after 6 pm know they would be closing early. Apparently the hostess who seated me did not follow his instructions. The manager also did offer some compensation.
