Not the same the second time

By Gerardo P |

Love this place a year ago on the first go around. They don't take reservations, and the wait can be long due to popularity. We were not crazy about any of the dishes we ordered this time. The tuna poke bowl tasted good but I had to ask for a larger bowl in order to stir around. My wife's tamal en casuala was a bit over spiced. My ostrich steak was cooked well but very chewy. The Cuban fried rice lacked uniqueness. The browny and banana bread desserts were lacklustered. Worth a third try just on reputation alone, but needs improvement.

Incredible hi 5 for the food and service!!!

By matadorNaplesFlorida |

Was absolutely delicious the food and the service were excellent, we had the kimchi fried Rice, the short ribs and the ceviche was upstanding!! Nice atmosphere! The pisco sour wasn't that good!

Culinary Diplomacy at its finest.

By Jon A |

Cubans, Peruvians, and Koreans are not necessarily a natural trio - and to have them singing Bésame Mucho table side- reawakens memories of an other unlikely Cuba centric amalgam- Desi and Lucy - but that duo worked and so does Finka. Usually Korean Fusion means slapping some kim chi on a hamburger and declaring victory. Peruvian alliances are claimed by tossing a purple potato on the plate. These blends are more thoughtful and complimentary. And they taste good. I've been to Finka many times and I samba away happy with the taste of dancing tostones and smiling red snappers swirling in my mouth and in my memory. Normally I don't eat meat. Here I'll make an exception - and if you do too- try the alligator and the ostrich. Two species I'd rather observe than consume- but at Finka they make a good case for omnivorism. There's been a separation on many levels between Cubans on the island and in Florida. If anything could bridge that gap and create substantial common ground - It's the mac and cheese. As comforting and embracing as abuela's love.

Very good restaurant

Not the same

By Yecenia C |

I've been coming here since it first opened. The last few visits have not been good. I come back hoping it was just the cook having a bad day, but that obviously hasn't been the case. This past visit everything was a mess. The Vaca frita tostone had so much of a bitter orange flavor and you can tell meat wasn't fresh. My cuban fried rice was horrible. The rice was under cooked and the churrasco was chewy no flavor. Not sure what has happened to this place but management should make sure that the food leaves the kitchen fresh. Things like this close businesses. So disappointed.

Good food ok service high price

By MaxPeen |

Went here for dinner, place is situated just near the road and very nicely decorated. We were welcomed very friendly and seated near the open kitchen. Staff was/is very helpful and explained the menu and the styles of foods they server (mixture of Cuban, Peruvian and Korean). Great variety in dishes, we ordered the pear/kale salad with goat cheese and the Bison burger (substituted the ginger mayo for aioli). Food was very well made up and service was fast, before the main dish came we got home-fried potato chips (very good). The salad came with the dressing on and I've asked it on the side, was quickly corrected though. Again great service. Food was excellent of taste and the Bison burger really to die for. For having a great night out you really need to check out this place!

We had a great dinner. Great Ribs I recommend, warning, a little spicy. Canary Islands croquettes have a pass but the best of Belgium . The place is very nice and the service great. The bad thing is the lack of light in the premises.

Things get so bad

Portions are ridiculous food has lost its quality from the day they open to today it's terrible the food and the service and let's not even talk about their takeout window such a good start out of the gate died before the finish terrible food don't waste your money

Very good experience!

By Yardie-in-Miami |

My guy and I went for lunch on a Saturday - about 11:45 am. This is a freestanding restaurant, located in a shopping center, so tons of overflow parking spaces. We were seated right away. We passed by the private room where they were hosting a party, and it looked beautiful! Inside the restaurant is decorated nicely, with an upscale rustic feel. Our Server was Eric, and he was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered all appetizers - the Pork Belly was phenomenal!!! The Vaca Frita Tostones were also incredible! The Kimchi and Pork Croquettes were SO tasty (I think these were an off the menu item). My guy has eaten here before, and brought me back food, so I've also tried the Oxtails and Mushroom Risotto...... YUMMO! Our food came out very quickly! Overall - very good experience!!! Would return without hesitation!

Que rico!

By ScannerGFlorida |

My friend and his wife dined on the patio with me on a Thursday night. We started with tostones topped with vaca frita, and the mac & cheese appetizers. I had a juicy rib-eye and a side of veggies - excellent! The glass of Smith and Hook cabernet I had with dinner was awesome! For dessert, I managed to squeeze in their (giant!) cookie with hot fudge and vanilla ice cream. The food was amazing and the service prompt and engaging. The atmosphere is casual and laid-back - not too noisy. My friend picked up the tab but I believe the prices are acceptable, considering the high quality.

Excellent food and service

By Danais1215 |

Food is Cuban/Peruvian/Korean fusion and it is absolutely delicious. The Cuban fried rice with vaca frita and plantains is my favorite. The ambiance is great and so are the cocktails. It gets very crowded in the weekends so we typically go for late lunch unless we want to go for happy hour. Unique place with great service and friendly people. Just make sure you are ready to wait, but totally worth it.

Chill and Relax!

Bohemian environment & excellent vibe! Give it two thumbs up. We have a wonderful time. Good service

Disappointing lunch

By Pamela C |

We have been here many times before and today was actually a huge letdown. First off, we ordered 4 appetizers and within 3 minutes all of the appetizers were out. Impossible that any of those items were fresh. The tostones and vaca frita were ice cold and the tostones tasted stale. The pork belly was chewy and cold, and also had to be sent back. And the worst part was the seafood ceviche, we bit into a few pieces that were hard and tasted rotten. I probably will not ever come back here again.

Unfortunate

By Marysory I |

I went to Finka with my husband on Friday May 30th around 6pm. We got a table, ordered some drinks and food and we were having a great time until around a little bit before 8pm the manager came to the table to tell us that we had 10 mins to leave because they had to accommodate a party of 21 people. We were not done with the food or our drinks and I couldn’t believe that they were asking us to leave. I asked how come we were not informed of this when we got the table and I made sure he knew that we were not happy about the situation. It was a very uncomfortable and embarrassing moment specially when we’ve been clients at Finka for many years. Then he said that if we wanted he could try to get us another table, of course, after he saw how upset I was. He offered to remove the pizza from our bill. We decided that we were going to leave after the treatment we got. Then all of the sudden after we were paying our bill, the waiter notified us that we could stay because they were able to arrange another area for the party that was coming. And I said absolutely not. After such bad experience we were not planning to stay any longer. They should’ve tried that before we were ask to leave in 10 mins. This was handled very poorly and of course, we the clients were affected by it and had to leave.

Farm to Table Supremo!

By Marie M |

Jonathan and Eileen Andrade, brother-sister duo who co-founded this amazing establishment, are the offspring of the founders of Islas Canarias Restaurants. They not only followed their business model, but improved upon it 100 fold. The unique and bold flavors of this Cuban/Peruvian/Korean gastropub (FINKA is Spanish for farm) will make you want to spin in your seat and slide through their tiled aisles! Now celebrating their third anniversary, we too joined joyfully to celebrate my sister's birthday and took just over 20 people in tow. Without reservations, just a courtesy "heads up" to Stephanie, we were warmly accepted in this 230 seat venue, on a Sunday early evening with just one server, Nicolas, who was a young sensei at his craft and spent some relational time discussing Game of Thrones with our young adults. Right quick, plates, cast-iron skillets, and platters of what reminded me of my grandmother's thick homemade croquetas, stuffed arroz con pollo balls, vaca frita on tostones, and other Cuban favorites were served and passed hand-to-hand. Everything was SUPREMO! Not one thumbs down from anyone. We had so much to eat and drink throughout the night, this would turn into an even lengthier share than it already is. There's way too much to experience, taste and drink--it's gourmet comfort food at its highest ranking. Suffice to say, bookmark FINKA and bump it up to the top! Its distinctive flair and fare will keep pulling us there, in spite of the steep cost!

Special

By circast |

It is special place unique, with a mix of cuban peru and asian food it is really impressive, the food taste wanderful , but there was something i do not explain what was it that did not get a 5 .

Not your typical Cuban

By MiamiMinime |

It’s way out west , independently standing in a mall parking lot , but as you approach it and enter it, it stands out well on its own . Once inside you still don’t know in what type of restaurant you are in, so you better forget about it. There is a homey feel to it in an elegant farmhouse kind of way . The bar is big , hip and casually inviting, with traditional and amazing creations .... this is NOT mom and pop’s cuban restaurant. The menu is creative , original and the food and service were very good. I had the brisket, which I would never order in a restaurant or even make at home , and it did not disappoint . The portions were not huge , but not like the typical fusion restaurant either. Go with a clean slate in your mind and paint a new version of Cuban -Asian .

Chimichurri Hanger Steak

By parkerpr |

The waiter explained that Hanger steak is known as the butcher's steak because it was highly prized for tenderness and flavor. This steak lived up to it, cooked rare and accompanied by chimichurri that enhances the flavor and experience. A great selection of wines and a true cocktail bar make this off the beaten path worth a visit while in Miami.

Family Meals

By Sarushkaya |

ate twice at Finka this year, a fusion of Korean and Cuban cuisine. Both very good experiences. The first, we celebrated(7of us) my aunt's 90th birthday. They were nice to set the table with a tablecloth that we brought with her 90th Birthday design. Croquetas and Plantain Chips as appetizers. For the main course, I shared the 160z Ribeye steak. It was perfectly cooked. Parmesan risotto, bulgogi reduction, shoestring French fries. Masitas de Puerco — Beans & Rice, Maduros. Cuban Fried Rice — Shrimp, Maduros, pineapple, fried egg, peppers. We brought the cake, they served it for a charge. Some of us selected white wine, beer, red wine to drink. Café Cubano to end Service was very attentive. The second time, a few months later, the cousins' lunch: Japchae noodles—sweet potato noodles, vaca frita, bok choy, veggies, scallions, Lomo Saltado Fried Rice, Grilled Fresh Mahi fillet with Shrimp Risotto. Scottish Salmon- bok choy, Shiitake Mushroom, Red Peppers, Bulgogi Brot Hatuey beer & Sparkling water Delicious lunch. Attentive service.

Dinner

By Canesbiggdogg |

Went to dinner with my wife. We started with the ham croquettas and as always they were excellent. For dinner I had the ox tail rissotto and it was a bit salty but good. My wife had the cuban fried rice and all the food was made to order.

I loved this place. The food tastes amazing, great dreams and excellent service. You do have a time limit for your table.

Recommended, But Not Impressed

By s d |

This establishment was recommended by a young friend of ours. He actually made the reservation for us, Sunday at 6PM (we are blue hairs). We got there a few minutes early and were seated promptly. We were told by our friend to order the cocktails. I ordered the Singapore Sling, which I liked, my husband ordered 2 cocktails, neither of which he liked. Now, on to the food. Since this is Cuban fusion, we ordered the special croquettas of the day (kimchee and pork). These were just okay. Upon recommendation we ordered the arroz con pollo fritters. YUCK! Ordered the pork belly appy, not too bad.. Ordered the octopus appy, horrible. They ruined it with spicy pepper, and the accompaniments did not go well. I love octopus, and was quite dissapointed. Service was good, staff was pleasant. Just won't return since I apparently do not like the fusion going on here

Bar Scene

By jorge p |

I visited this spot for the first time after hearing from a friend that it was great. I wanted to see for myself. So i went with my cousin and sat st the bar since it was fully booked and we had the best experience. They bar man was extremely attentive and nice and kept checking back on us to make sure our experience was the best. This place is popula so please make sure to reserve ahead of time. I had a few mojitos much were delicious and my friend had a local beer from Wynwood which they carry. We both had their famous Burger , be sure to ask for it!! I had a blast. I recomend thid place to any one passing by the area!

Good Time

By monguyto D |

We visited the restaurant for a family dinner. The food is good and the drinks are ok. Only down side is the waiting.

Horrible customer service

By Sandra P |

I’m giving them one star because their customer service is honestly the worst. Went on a Thursday afternoon 3pm with my husband and baby on his stroller, we waited for over 35 min to be seated and I saw two group of family that got there after us get seated. When I asked the host she said she couldn’t accommodate my family cause we had a baby stroller… my mind was blown away. Very disrespectful and without any other solution we let the restaurant. Never coming back to that place, not family or handicap friendly

Don't come for the bibimbap

By Eat Laugh Drive |

What attracted us was the Peruvian fusion Korean bibimbap. It was really not that good. What was good was the fried hogfish with the special sauce they have. It was huge, not dried out. Really good. Until I got the bill and saw it was $40... Sticker shock but still worth it :-)

Nothing spectacular

By SandraMiami_fl |

We went on a Sat night and previous a few months ago for lunch. The place is very nice but O would not go back for dinner. They take NO reservations and the wait is1-2 hours. We waited 1 hr at 6:30 pm Not worth it. Our food was ok. We were 5 couples. we ordered croquetas and ceviche verde. Croquetas were good but the ceviche was very plain, no flavor. For main courses we had the yellow tail. Fish was good and a big portion. My husband had a the noodles with chicken ( average) and our friends had the churrasco that was nothing extra ordinary and the bison burger (nothing worth making a 2 hr line) The place is nicely decorated but it's WAY too crowded and the food very mediocre. Prices were ok. Will not come back. Go for lunch, not dinner. Very mediocre

Horrible experience!!!

By Gonzalez Family |

Horrible experience!!! When we arrived, even though we had a reservation and the place was not totally full, they made us wait, "supposedly" until our table would be ready. When it was ready, they put us at the table next to the door where everyone passes. We asked them to move us and they put us at the table right at the entrance to the kitchen, from which you could only see the workers coming and going out. Hello?? No one takes their time to make a reservation at a "Good Restaurant" to be end up eating at the table in the entryway or the table next to the kitchen. Terrible customer service and terrible etiquette.

Best food in town

By Marcel A |

Great service... try the whole fried fish, you won't regret it. Go on weekdays otherwise it's packed.

Lunch

By Novo48 |

As I approached the counter to request a seating, the young lady behind the counter had no smile, no greeting, so I said to her do you have a table for two but my friend has not arrived yet. Still, looking at me she had no reply. She pick up two menus an started walking away. I gather that I was supposed to follow her, so, I did. When she got to the table she placed the menus on the table an walked away. This is a nice restaurant with good foods, that I have been attending, for years. Couldn’t understand why her attitude and poor social skills. Above all, I would not want an employee working near any area of a business with poor social skills and with an attitude. Oh well.while I was sitting I continue to observed her and she continued to sit people without a greeting on arrival or when she sat people down.

Great place ! Good concept!

By sanmar1013 |

I really like this place, waiters with style, nice rustic place , service is excellent and the cocktails amazing!!!! If you go there try the churrasco with sweet potato and tostones with vaca frita . they have a cocktail with tequila and hibiscus witch is incredible! I recommend this place a 100%% , i will come back for sure !!! Very good concept!!!

Nice comfortable place to eat. Food is very good, service is fast and very helpful with menu choices. Whole snapper was excellent. Ate there twice in a week. If fills up fast so go early if you can

Order Korean fried chicken

By ExtraUnderwear |

PROS *Korean fried chicken was one of the best meals I’ve had in Miami. Sauce was delicious and slightly spicy and chicken was perfectly breaded. *Portions were huge. *My dad likes how attentive and respectful the staff is because he’s old skool like that. CONS *Wish we would have discovered this place sooner.

Yum

By Dominicinacan |

Went here for lunch after a trip on an airboat in the Everglades. Sited in a shopping mall car park. I'm not sure it's that healthy but wow, it was tasty. My son , wife and I shared the ham croquettes to start which were good but not a patch on my daughter's mac n' cheese which was topped with bacon and pulled pork, it was delicious!! Really probably the best I've have ever eaten. My son and I then had the Korean fried chicken which was reliably hot, spicy, sticky and succulent. Well priced and delicious food. Go.

Awesome local place🤙🏽

By Jovan |

You can most definitely tell the owner of this place put his/her heart into the food and decor. It’s awesome to see the positive response of the locals just packing this place. Amazing food, beautiful decor, great staff.

Awesome food and lively environment

By HERNANDEZCPA |

Last night was my first visit to Finka Table and Tap and it won't be our last. Upon arrival we noticed the restaurant was quite full, but since it was just the 2 of us we were seated right away. The waiter was very courteous and explained the menu very well. The service was outstanding. The food was delicious. We will definitely be going back to try some of the other dishes.

Gorgeous spot with some of the best food in Miami!

By Looksmelltaste |

Love Cuban food? How about Korean or Peruvian? This lovely spot in way out west Miami is making some progressive food with cocktails that shine. Considered one of the best restaurants in the area, it has paved the way for the food scene in that area. Chef Eileen Andrade continues to turn the needle when it comes to Cuban food. Light bites and main dishes are on the menu as well as fresh cocktails with herbs from the garden and local fruit being used as well.

WORS RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN IN MY LIFE

By Jaime C |

THIS PLACE HAS NO CLASS AT ALL . NOW I NOW WHY IT IS CALLED LA FINKA , IT IS MISS SPEELED, HAS NO CLASS ,ITIS OVER EXPENSE FOR WHAT YOU WANT AND THE FOOD IS BAD AND OVER EXPENSIVE FOR THEIR CLASS. IT SHOULD NOT BE CALLED RESTAURANT , , MY MEAL WAS SERVED IN A PLASTIC TREY AND NOT IN A PALATE AS IT IS SEREVED IN ANY RESTAURANT , THE TRAY HAD A LITTLE POCKETS WHERE THE PUT YOUR RICE , IN ANOTHER LITTLE PCK YOUR BEENS AND SO ON , IN EVERY RESTAURANT THE TABLE IS SERVED WITH SALT , PEPPER AN OTHER INGRIDIENTS , HERE THER WAS NONE OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED ITEMS , I HAD TO ASK FOR IT AND TOOK A WHLIE TO GET IT . THE MENU IS NOT SPECIFIC THEREFORE YOU HAVE TO ASK THE ATTENDAND WHAT IS EXACTLIC MEANNS. I ASKEDFOR MASITA DE PURCO FRITA AND THEY WERE BAD , HARD AND NOT EVEN WARM. WILL NEVER COME BACK.

Family Sunday.

By Antonio B |

I had heard a lot about this restaurant, very nicely decorated, we where a group of 9, to start the sangria was very good, appetizers, croquetas, best of Miami, tostones with vaca frita, seviche all very good. I had the oxtail with risotto, very good and tastefully, masitas de puerco, churrascos and salmons all very good. The pizza for the kids was delicious.

Great place to eat if you are in this neighborhood. Great food, great service, and very accommodating. We were a large party, but they were very nice, from the youngest to the oldest in our group. Very good!

We’ll be back!

By Luis C |

We went to Finka for our friend’s birthday. We went on a Sunday late afternoon. After a short wait we were seated on our table. We all loved the chips. We order the tostones with vaca frita, the Brussels sprouts and the seafood ceviche. The seafood ceviche were good but they needed a little ají (to make it a little spicy). For main courses we order some of the specials of the day: shrimp and lobster risotto (sooo good), the fried grouper with coconut rice ( I wish the grouper would have been without breading and pan fried), the churrasco and the Cuban bowl (awesome dish and portion size). The sage tequila drink tasted like cough syrup. For dessert we ordered the banana bread, which was more of a cake than bread. Prompt and cordial service from our server Diego. We’ll be back.

AMAZING FOOD!

By Dancer810 |

The fusion of Latin and Asian dishes served in this place is nothing short of fabulous! It's hard to choose something on the menu because everything is sooooo delicious! The place is usually full, so that's always a good indication. The guava cheesecake is to die for!!! I go back just for that! LOL Outstanding food, good service and medium-level prices...definitely worth trying...and returning! :-)

Go west....being used to always traveling east in Miami for GREAT Food and service, we decided to try this homey/fancy fair priced restaurant after seeing it reviewed on Check Please. Cuban/Korean/Peruvian....Roy Choi could not have done it better. Amazing food, great prices, Michelin Star Service. Andres our server greeted us like family, treated us like royalty, billed us as paupers. The drinks are top notch, and yes you will feel the alcohol....great selection of beers, tell him what you like and trust him to guide you. We shared the "Arroz con Pollo Fritters", wife had the "Ox tail & Mushroom Rissotto", I went w/ the KFC Korean fried chicken. Eileen, owner & head chef is second generation restaurateur, having grown up in a kitchen, she has brought that knowledge to FINKA, her baby. Don't miss this place, be ready to be WOWed'. Ask for Andres, you cannot go wrong, tell him Jeannie & Angel sent you.

Amazing Culinary Fusion

By babalubj |

Great culinary fusion of Cuban and New American cuisine. Very attentive service, small but well-chosen wine list, full bar compliment the whole experience. Nice ambiance. Tends to be crowded at peak lunch hours. Try their daily specials.

My ears are still ringing..

By Jeffery F |

I don't understand why this place continues to blast music through the restaurant. It's bad enough that people have to yell to be heard over the yelling and loud music does the loud latino music add that much atmosphere to the place. 3rd time here in the past two montjs...same thing every time...

Nice place

By oldngroovy |

I arrived Saturday around 12:30. They sat us down right away. We were a party of 8. We were fortunate to have a waiter with a lot of energy. He explained everything. Menu and the different craft beer's. We ordered alligator bites, tostones with Vaca frita, cerviche. A bit disappointed with the Vaca frita and the pork belly, others were excellent. The entrées were very good. Whole hog fish, brisket, bison burger was very good. the Korean fried chicken was average at best .we shared dessert banana cake.

What a nice spot!

By FrancescaMusica |

Whatever I can write will be an understatement of what an awesome experience it is, from the moment you first step in, until you sign your check to leave with a happy belly (and pocket). First, the decoration, ambiance and vibe of the restaurant are extremely cozy, homey and hip; not to mention their location is perfect, because it's away from all the craziness and far from where most of the crowd goes, yet, it's a good neighborhood. Now, let's talk about service: I've never seen and experience such happy waiters and waitresses. It's like they own the place or as if it was their house and they're happy to see their friends (you) come in for a nice meal and drink. They're very helpful and savvy about what they cook and serve at Finka. They're also very diligent which each table, I've never waited to be served, or gotten a refill, they help each other and I think teamwork is a valuable (and rare) asset for a restaurant. Once you open the menu, you will start drooling (if you weren't since you walked in). My, oh, my... their Cuban-American fusion is well described and makes it easy for you to order (plus, the staff puts in their good word about any of the plates you ask them about). The drinks menu is unbelievable, and even better, when you taste their creative and delicious cocktails. Their dishes are ridiculously tasty and flavorful, it is really indulgent... I've been there twice and I have probably ordered half of the menu already, and cannot tell which dish is my favorite! Oh, and almost forgot to mention... (the best part, for those who mind their pockets), their prices are really good, like, really good! Just as an example; the last time I went, it was 3 of us, and ate 5 or 6 plates (appetizers and one entree if I remember right), we had dessert, 2 cocktails and a glass of wine; the bill came to $100... make your own conclusions! Please, please, please, go and have a feast! P.S.: It might be full, and they do not take reservations, but they seat you relatively fast.

Night out with Wife

By FJM1376 |

We got a sitter for our son and headed out to have some dinner and drinks. Finka was our second stop of the night. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. I had Moscow Mules and my wife had a Japanese whiskey/bourbon drink. The bartender was super nice and friendly. My wife was in love with the drink at first sip. We stayed put at the bar and ordered the arros con pollo fritters!! yum. Second we had the vaca frita tostones. That was so perfect that we ordered a second servings. The night was perfect and we can't wait to head back to Finka again.

its Not a peruvian restaurant! this is a Latin Restaurant!

By wonggo |

I was under the impression because of what people told me, this was a peruvian restaurant, but to my surprise it was not. the menu has some peruvian INGREDIENTS, but its not a peruvian restaurant. my experience was good. although we were a party of 3 and they sit us at a table for 8, the feeling was weird, specially since there was a smaller table that was vacant next to us, but they didnt want to sit us there. we ordered: three pisco sours: they were good! highly recommended ceviche mixto with patacones: amazing! ceviche tasted very peruvian, the patacon no,but together they tasted amazing. half chicken with beans risotto: very good lomo saltado: weird, I would give it a 4/10 ceviche nikkei: they should remove this from the menu. it wasnt good at all! the mixture of ingredients made the fish super cured and it wasnt a good taste at all the waitress was super nice. we loved her. the ambience was extremely loud... a party of kids screaming super load... not pleasant. after all this, we didn't feel like ordering dessert.

Out of the way-Outstanding

By Ruth R |

This place is truly out of the way from your normal trendy restaurants that most will find on The Beach, Brickell, or Wynwood. It's worth the trek. Service is polite, energetic and professional. Melissa was our server and was on point with every recommendation. Appetizers definitely worth trying & sharing you want to have room for the yummy stuff. The empanadas had just the right amount of crunch but melt in your mouth flavor. Be prepared it changes daily, had the ham and it was not overpowering. The tuna ceviche with avocado was amazing. It was done so that no one flavor overwhelmed the other. I paired it with the tostones as recommended by Melissa and it was a lovely marriage of flavors. Followed that with the ox tail mushroom risotto. This was delicious, meat falling off the bone, risotto cooked just right, what more could I ask for...dessert! If anything come for that. Skillet chocolate chip cookie with chocolate fudge and ice cream and crumbled cookie crunch. Need I say more. Well priced for the quality and quantity. Worth the trip.

Very attractive Restaurant with Great Food

By Heidi M |

My husband and I enjoyed a great lunch and were very satisfied with service, drinks, and prices. Not only was this a classy place with good food but the best part of eating at Finka was that it was on our way to the Everglades National Park Shark Valley. This is an area that doesn't have too much to choose from so we were crossing our fingers on this selection. We would go back next time we are in the area.

Very Good Fusion Food

By ottocastillo |

Amazing food combinations and very variations on the Menu. Very friendly and young staff!!! Service was amusing and food incredible. I will come back soon and often!!!

Not impressed. Lots of hype but found the place lacking in many areas.

By Pedro R |

We sat in the front dining area just to the left of the entrance. The decor is fine but not very well planned out. There are big windows on the front across the entire room, skylights above and mirrors on the inside wall, add a concrete floor and a roomful of patrons and you essentially have to yell to communicate with the person sitting right in front of you. I'm not exaggerating either. The food was ok, nothing great imo. The Cuban fried rice was greasy. I had mac n cheese w ropa vieja and bacon I think - it was good. Ordered a pizza which was served after everyone else had finished eating, asked for it to be packed in a box to go and the server brought me a cardboard box so I could pack it, no liner. We could not get out of there fast enough and will not be back. Fortunately we have plenty of better options closer to us.

Beautiful Hip Restaurant!

By JaneRichard |

The place is nicely decorated, and the service was outstanding. However, the noise level was terrible. Also, the food was just okay. The flatbread crust was good, but the mozzarella had an odd flavor/texture. Since the restaurant is not close to our home, we won't be returning as it just not worth the trip.

It's a little bit of a drive from our hotel on South Beach but well worth the effort! Vale la pena! Several dining room in a very rustic setting. We sat in the terrace, well lighted and a little less noisy than the main dining room with bar. The place is jumping with servers, patrons and lots of food. We came for an early dinner on Saturday at about 6pm. We were seated and attended rapidly. We started with the famous Vaca tostones and a special appetizer, Crab Malanga fritters. Our mains were the Ravioli brisket, Masitas de Puerco & Brisket with mashed potatoes. The Banana bread and a Flan were our deserts. Everything was very flavorful and creative. The portions were large. There are about 20 other dishes I will order in the future from this exciting menu, not the least of which are the Fried Alligator Jalea, Korean Brussels Sprouts, Braised Oxtail, Scottish Salmon & the Lomo Saltado Fried Rice to name a few. A very happy family of 3 were we oon the way home.

Must go in Kendall

Great Cocktails, Awesome Food and Great atmosphere. This place is a fun place to eat and drink for Couples, Friends, date night

Amazing restaurant!

By SV0710 |

If you are in the Miami area, you must go visit this restaurant. It is an infusion of Cuban, Korean and Peruvian- a variety like none other! The cocktails are all crafted there, and absolutely delicious! Service is great, attention to detail is wonderful! Owner is always present making sure everything is 100%. Suggest making reservations, it does get busy! Totally worth the wait though!

Awesome and unique!

By midangel22 |

Everything we had was delicious! Our appetizer was a special, crab croquette. Crunchy on the outside and full of hot crab filling. The mastitis de puerco (fried pork chunks) was very tender and flavorful. It was topped with grilled onions and came with perfectly cooked and spiced beans and rice, plantains and garnishes. Also had the bibimpap bowl, which was an Asian Cuban fusion dish. Every bite was a delicious combination of flavors with beans and rice, vacation frita, kimchi, moderas, bean sprouts and veggies. We stopped in for a late lunch and had enough left over for dinner. Good, strong Cuban coffee and took home some flan for later. Nice cozy atmosphere with a small pub. The service was excellent, even though our waitress was very busy. The back room had some type of private party going on, so the restaurant/bar area was packed. Can't wait to go back when in the are. My compliments to the chef!

Very Loud Place with Average Food

By acostajorge44 |

We went here with high expectations but were disappointed. The place is large but very noisy. We had several drinks including the big order of mojitos that serves several people, but it was not that tasty and lacked rum. The yellowtail snapper filet was a large portion but had many bones. The bison burger was not cooked like I ordered it. Overall, I expected more. Our waiter, Carlos, was very friendly and attentive.

Poor food

By Carlos Soriano |

The food was not the best, some of the plates were bland and lacking flavor, also the food was overpriced.

Great Food in Kendal

By Angela D |

We live in Kendal and we visit this restaurant frequently the venue is beautiful is like you are inside of an old farm, the cocktails are amazing with great ingredients $11 each and the food is very good, it is a Cuban Korean Peruvian Fusion. This restaurant is amazing, great service good music, the only downside is that when is full it gets pretty noise.

BEST FOOD / DRINKS EVERRRRRRRR!

By andyboz1970 |

Where do I start? Had the Bison Burger and let me tell you BEST EVER!! Please enter this in BURGER BASH!! You will win!! Drink are unreal and off the hook!!! They even had my favorite vodka High West 7000 "Purple Rain Purple Rain" Best drink I've had in years!!!!! See you soon my friends

Amazing food, great ambiance.

By WorldTraveler_and_Co |

Finka never disappoints. The place gets pretty busy, but it’s big and it doesn’t take that long to get a table. If you go for a late lunch or early dinner you usually get a table right away. The staff is really friendly as well. They have some interesting cocktails and really good food. The “tostones con vaca frita” and the smoked brisket are must try items. I absolutely love their Brussels sprouts and mushroom risotto.

Great experience.

By Chloe Webb |

Such a great place. We didn’t book but they found us a table within 30 minutes and in the meantime we had some great cocktails at the bar. The food was outstanding. It was hot, spicy and everything tasted delicious. We are regular visitors to Miami from the UK as our daughter lives there. It was by far the best restaurant we have been to. The service was quick, efficient and friendly without being overbearing. The prices ar every reasonable. We will definitely be going back.

Great food, cocktails and customer service!

By meghnamuralidhar |

We visited Finka twice in a group of 4 and ordered multiple appetizers, entrees and cocktails! Delicious food and cocktails. Extra points for the amazing customer service.

Just Average

By Ozzie305 |

If you are used to eat at McDonalds this restaurants if better than average but if you're used to eat at fine dining restaurants then this barely passes as an average place. Food is ok and service as well. Nothing more than ordinary.

Too loud, food is not good.

By Yisby |

The restaurant is super loud, not enjoyable at all. The mariquitas offered as "Bread and butter" were extremely salty. The food was not good, very below average not tasty at all. We had tamale and it tasted like frozen heated tamale. The ceviche was good but a bit too spicy. The yucas were sweet..... And the fried rice was just flavorless. In other words avoid.

Hacienda vibes with yummy fusions

By Allan G |

Stumbled upon this place, and it's got this cozy hacienda vibe that's just chill. Surprisingly good in the fusion. Gotta give a shoutout to the prosciutto pizza. A laid-back spot with some tasty twists on the menu.

Que deli!!

By bellaventurini98 |

We got this octopus appetizer and I got the Cuban fried rice!! Our server was so nice. We went around 1 and we didn't have to wait for seating.

Movies and drinks plus somethings to grab

By Arelis J |

Finka is a very special vibrant place. It’s a fusion of Vietnam’s and Cuban food. We ordered Tostones rellenos with Vaca Frita, a delicious smashed plantain pieces with beef and pico de Gallo plus croquetas of different taste. We also ordered a “vaca frita pizza” and with sweet plantain and ajioli sauce. Just perfect to then go to the movies.

Unique and different

By Wagner V |

We went there with family and friends for an early dinner. The place is very nice with very good service. The food is very unique and quite tasty. All dishes ordered were great. It was just a bit noisy outside, reason why I do not give a rating of 5. But we will definitely go back and try to get a seat inside next time.

Great place but way out west

By RBP881123 |

While it's out near the Everglades it is a great place that's worth the drive. Delicious food great service.

A Unique Asian–Cuban Fusion Dining Experience.

By Abel R |

I came with my family to celebrate my father’s birthday at an Asian and Cuban fusion restaurant. The dishes were unique and flavorful. We started with the vaca tostones and yuca bites as appetizers. For my main course, I ordered the Cuban fried rice, and for dessert, the guava cheesecake. Everything tasted great, although some of the dishes were quite high in sodium, which my father didn’t enjoy. However, the waitress was very kind and removed my father’s dish from the bill since he couldn’t eat it.

Not impressed!

By Teavelmia |

The decor is not original compared to other trendy restaurants in Miami. Have heard great things about this place, but I was not impressed. The server/host at the door was rude and not enthusiastic. He needs to find a job where his talents are more effective; this coming from someone always giving servers the benefit of the doubt. Our server was very pleasant, but not experienced as a server as we had to partake in the service process . Our ice tea was served in a rather small High Ball Glass appropriate for an alcoholic beverage. Amazingly they had jar-style glasses where they served the lemonade, that would have been perfect for ice tea? The food was pricey for lunch, and truly unforgettable. I will not return, as there was nothing special to revisit. I was expecting a lot more, and was truly disappointed.

OXTAIL RISOTTO

By Miles Archer |

Busy place when I came for lunch. Attractive upscale ambiance. A little noisy. Service was pretty good, but could have been more efficient. I had the oxtail risotto. It was tasty. A bit pricey. Lots of menu items to choose from.

Terrible Management!

By Lflower347 |

I am giving a bad review because I have been asked to remove myself and wife from the bar which doesn't need RESERVATION, just because the manager BERNIE's friends were coming and always seat in that specific bar spot. Unacceptable. We are totally disappointed and we will not coming back.

VERY RUDE MANAGER !!!

By Sebas Z |

I love this place , we always go with my wife , and also we always take people over to show this wonderful spot , the service is outstanding , food amazing as always ( oxtail with mushroom risotto , croquetas , porkbelly , etc) everything is to die for , what to say about the cocktails?? I N C R E D I B L E. However, today we went with a couple of friends, and while we were looking at the decor , the manager super rude asked us if we were architects because we were looking around , immediately he started to interrogate us , asking why we were looking around , i have never been so humiliated in my life . This manager does not belong to that place , all the wonderful experience that we were going to have in FINKA was completely destroyed . We ask our server what was his manager name ( aheem or hemm ) , it was a very uncommon name . For sure I will not come back till that manager leave , im not a person that write bad reviews but in this case I fell that I had to .

Excellent food and service!!

By michaelE5339JB |

The restaurant is nicely decorated, met the owner and chef and she made the 3 of us a meal fit for a king!!!! The wait staff were very attentive and took great care of us!!! Food was delicious and very tasty!!Will go here again when in town!!! This is a fusion restaurant and offers Korean, Cuban and American food and a nice blend of all!!!

Food it’s also very good, appetizers are the best!! Ambiance awesome!!! Love the Cuban fusion!!! The best!!! Almost forgot the waitresses are grate too!! Caring and efficient 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Delicious !!

By Maria G |

Finka Table & Tap has delicious fusion cuisine. The arroz con pollo fritters were amazing. The empanadas delicious. The mac n cheese with carne asada heavenly. The pizza was a disappointment. My daughter loved her kale salad and chocolate chip skillet! The service was good.

Average food..noisy..

By Maria R |

Appetizers were good. Croquetas from Islas Canarias Restaurant were delicious as always. Food was OK. One of the things we had was the brisket and it was too salty. Cocktails were great. Manhattans and Martinis were had. The noise level is just too much. Service was good, not great. At times we felt rushed but decided we were not going to be rushed and took our time. Would I recommend this place..probably not. Will I go back a second time...probably not.

Wonderful for Big groups

By Daya M |

There is something for everyone. Great for big gatherings with friends and family. Cuban, Korean and Peruvian food.

Best food in town!

By Miguel V |

Yesterday I dined at Finka for the second time. It is the best food in town! They really have mastered the fusion of latinamerican and asian cuisine. From Empanadas to Korean Fried Chicken...and everything else...we thoroughly enjoyed Finka. I highly recommend this restaurant in the Miami area.

Finka Table and Tap

By 387indy |

The atmosphere is fun, its a lot of locals and they are all having fun. The staff is good and they guide you through the menu which has Cuban, Argentine and Korean. I had ice tea and KFC (Korean Fried Chicken).

Never order from this place.

By Lissette G |

Never order from this place. it is not worth the money! the worst pan con bistek and pork belly! this place is over rated! we basically wasted our money!

Drink here! The food is also spectacular!

By Mary1992 |

I go regularly to Finka, it is one of the best places for cocktails in the area. The food is very singular, it is a mix between Korean, Cuban an Peruvian, but be courageous and order different plates, it will surprise you for the best. It is usually full so make a reservation before going.

Very nice surprise

By Eric M |

Came to this restaurant without any knowledge of it beforehand. No matter what you order you can't go wrong. Tostones are a most... i would put some more pictures... but i ate it all ;-)

Spectacular dining experience at this innovative cuisine restaurant

By kpOrlando |

Usually my 5 stars are reserved for exceptional experiences. This restaurant came really close, so 5 stars it is. First the food is absolutely delicious. Cuban fried rice was absolutely delicious. The yuca goat cheese fritters just melted in the mouth. Papaya salad was just right as was the brisket and chicken with risotto. Service was friendly and efficient. Our server patiently explained each dish, answered our questions and made great suggestions. This was important, because the restaurant was very busy and he was hustling to give each table appropriate attention and service. I hope to go back many many times.

Fried Alligator Jalea and Gnocchi

By nic_leon2005 |

I visited FINKA Table & Tap for dinner with family a few weeks ago. The menu is very extensive primarily featuring Latin-Asian Fusion dishes. I had the Fried Alligator Jalea and the Gnocchi. The Alligator was tender with nicely crisp breading and topped with a flavorful citrusy Salsa Criolla. The Gnocchi was soft and savory and topped with a rich sauce filled with chunks of tender oxtail and roasted red peppers. The craft beer selection features a number of local breweries.

Good food, too loud

By Lexer75 |

We went for dinner last night here. The group liked the food a lot. Nice selection. Great prices. The only problem is the room to your immediate left is so loud. We couldn't have a conversation. Its really bad. We tried this place years ago and it was the same thing. I dont mind loud stuff, music etc, but this room is ridiculous. Might just do take out next time to avoid this issue. Our server was excellent. Can't remember her name, but excellent.

Great food and drink

We celebrated a graduation dinner , and had great service. The food was very good, with very tasty dishes. Highly recommend

Birthday Celebration

By giselaramirez |

Food need to improve, service was good, drinks are good. The taste of the food was horrible, we was a table of 6, only the croquetas and the desert was good.

Easy drive; wonderful service

By allthegirls2014 |

We met friends who were doing the airboat roads and staying in downtown Miami. This was a great place to meet up, as it has easy parking and is out of the downtown melee that is south Florida in December. We loved the Cuban-Korean fusion. My bibimbap was delicious and there were plenty of options for vegetarians, healthy eaters and picky men. We told the servers that we were reuniting with friends from out of town and we took over for a table for a LONG time. We added a large tip to compensate for the table not turning over, but Gustavo and the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful. I hope to convince more people to meet us here!

Finka Table & Tap Very Nice Restaurant

By Arnold1936 |

For the second time we visited this restaurant and we like their food and attention we received; It is something different that invites to return; Their choice of dishes and drinks is very wide, a bit noisy, but it's their style that does not bother. We recommend it.Very

Different but not bad!

By georeal |

Seafood civiche...amazing Fried grouper and mushroom risotto...fresh fish and undercooked risotto. Less salt please. Mojito....bland do not order Different not bad, but not likely to return.

Casual extraordinary lunch

By HND30 |

This place is huge and has a large variety of entrees on the menu. It has an unusual mix of Asian and Latin flavors. The dishes are creative and I have never seen anything like this before. There are plenty of servers that want to make sure you have everything you need. It is a true dining experience. It is a bit pricey for lunch but it was a special occasion and a splurge was in order. The location is a bit out of the way and easy to miss in the shopping center. Plenty of parking is the real bonus. I wish I would have left room for desert but it will encourage me to come back soon.

Very nice treat and expierence

By Harvey G |

Service was friendly. Unique selection of beverages and dishes. Busy, but casual atmosphere. Would go back when in the area.

DISSATIFIED CUSTOMER

By Inspire32290780625 |

Good day everyone. Don't let the 5 star rating fool you. Friends, family and employees can give positive opinion and a good review. I purchased a take out order the day of the super bowl for family and invited guest. The mac and cheese for 10 was acceptable, however, the pork masitas meals for 10 was dry, tasteless and impossible to chew. I paid $150.00 dollars basically for rice, burned fried bananas and mac and cheese. I called the restaurant a day later, spoke to a young lady on the phone to to inform. She said sorry about that. Beware Kendall residents.

Nice atmosphere, ok food

By Katharine A |

The decor is really neat in this place. However, it was very loud and I had a hard time hearing our waiter and my husband across the table. The food was ok. We had the black bean humus, and that was delicious!!!! When our bowls came, my husband had the Cuban Rice Bowl, and he gives it 4 stars. He loved it. I had Peruvian Pollo con Arroz bowl and it was ok. The veggies and seasonings were delicious, but the chicken was in huge chunks that weren't very flavorful. By the time I was done chewing a bite of chicken all I tasted was plain chicken. It would have been much better as smaller bits and more seasoning. We left right after we paid our bill. No sense in staying and chatting when we couldn't hear each other.

Excellent food an great ambience

By ananicolejoel |

It is an excellent place for food and ambience. The service was also great. The food is very different and delicious, I would definitely recommend it and will go back.

Packed, even on a weeknight!

By Manny A |

Very busy restaurant, super busy even on a rainy Tuesday night. I can see why though. Fast, friendly service, great food and large portions. Definitely make reservations if possible. But worth the wait if you don't.

LOUD, but good time at FINKA

By Lou Suarez |

We enjoyed our dinner at FINKA, wanted to try something different they delivered. The food was good, can't say the same about the Beer Sangria Pitcher, mind you we were advised it was beer based, but still there is NOTHING Sangria about this pitcher. The service was fine for a very busy Saturday night. Very..Very LOUD area that we were sitted in, but the place was full of young hipsters showing off.

Cuban fusion, new and fresh.

By Dayamis H |

This was a very pleasant surprise. We weren’t supposed to dine here but the restaurant planned for our mom’s Birthday celebration was closed on Easter Sunday so we ended up here trying to find a good rated and most of all one close to this other place. I have to say this is far away from the city center. We all loved our appetizers and entree choices. The food was served on a very original way. Our server was super helpful and attentive, very knowledgeable of the menu and help us a lot specially because my niece is very allergic to most foods. The ambiance was great, not only a nice decor but also very welcoming and warm. They seated us super fast even though we were a party of nine and it was packed. We didn’t dine on the longer salon situated to the left but could admire that it has kind of a different setting and a very warm light was filling it through the windows. We really enjoyed our time there and our mom was very happy.

DO YOURSELF a favor go some place else. Been there three or four times before .Food was cold . TRY SOME PLACE ELSE.

Outrageous flavor

By Ally |

This restaurant is perfect for a birthday or event. Had a bridal shower here in the private room and it was lovely in every way. The Mac n cheese is so so good. And the drinks are original and yummy. Just be prepared to shell up some cash

Family celebration

By maria s |

We have been visiting Finka since it first opened. Unfortunately food quality has been progressively worsened. Today plantain chips were burned, mashed was cold, meat was over cooked, service was hurried in extreme. They even have a sign that’s says that table time is limited to 90 minutes to accommodate more people. I hope they can fix it or we won’t be back

Disappointing Dinner

By Chi001 |

We visited this restaurant during our recent trip to the Everglade National Park. On our way back to SOBE, we visited this restaurant based on the review. It is nice, clean and upscale looking restaurant. We ordered Cuban Fried Rice ($15), Oxtail Risotto ($20) and NY strip 12 oz ($32). We liked the NY Strip even though it was kind of pricey. Oxtail Risotto was disappointed because it was so salty and we could not taste any flavor besides the salt. Cuban Fried Rice was also disappointing due to lack of flavor. Service was prompt and waitress was attentive.

Food excellent service lacking this time

By Canesbiggdogg |

We started with the tostones and vaca frita and ham croquettes and they were great. My son had the gnochi and ox tail and I had the bison burger. The food was excellent. Our server was no where to be found the whole time. May have seen her twice in over an hour.

Exceptional experience

By richardmat04 |

The first time was an exceptional experience, fresh food, nice environments, friendly service by Javier, we order Cuban fried rice, very unique, the other was Brisket wonton Ravioli, eccentric flavor with signature mango, definitely we recommend to an international experience in one place.

Loved it!

By KatherineP321 |

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at Finka because when I looked at the menu I had no idea what some of these fusion combinations would taste like. We (8 of us) waited for our table at the bar and enjoyed some yummy cocktails. I had the "Hit Me Baby One More Time", which was really good! It had vodka and pineapple juice and some other in-house syrups and flavorings. My boyfriend had an Old Fashion, which was very good. Once we sat at the table, my boyfriend and I ordered the lomo empanadas as an appetizer, which were delicious! This was the perfect appetizer to share because they serve you three empanadas. For entree, I ordered the tuna poke bowl, which was amazing! The red tuna was very fresh and raw just how I like it. My boyfriend ordered the croqueta pizza, which was awesome! For dessert, we tried the cookie dessert with ice cream, which was out of this world! I truly enjoyed my experience at Finka and will definitely return. I recommend that if you are a large party, get there early (7:30-8:00 PM) because they do not take reservations on Saturday. The bar is a nice spot to hang out at because you can order drinks and food. The restaurant is located in a shopping center near a Publix so parking is pretty ample. Thank you Finka for such exceptional service and delicious food. I will return soon!

Can’t go Wrong

By Luanne S |

Our party of seven stopped here for a late lunch. We started with the ceviche and gator. Both were good, the ceviche was fantastic! We each ordered something different and everyone was pleased! Banana Bread for desert was amazing followed by coffees. Sure wish you’d open up in Estero, Fl!

Very good food, forget the wine

By travelislifeMiami |

The food is consistently very good. The appetizers were fabulous, Tostones With Vaca Frita, Fried Duroc Porkbelly and the Arroz con Pollo Fritters. This time I was not impressed with the oxtail seasoning and the rissoto that it brought along. The Korean Noodles were outstanding as well as the Smoked Brisket. Big problem, the wines. The wine list does not coincide with the wine is stock. I asked for two different ones and they didn’t have hem. They did not have any Riojas or Ribera del Duero. I ended up drinking a mediocre cabernet from California. The server was extremly pleasant.

Good Latin Cuban fusion

By alfa r |

Cuban Latin fusion great restaurant a lot of choice of plates, I have the tostones vaca frita to share the churrasco with sweet potato for main course and guayaba cheese cake for desert.

Korean Cuban Peruvian - a little bit of everything

By Elba M |

Friday night super loud, good food, nice location and good vibes. Air conditioning kind of crazy cold, unpleasant when you just get to the restaurant, sit down and start shaking (happened to us and the table next to us and the one in the back, everyone was so cold). After a while it stopped - we had a great dinner (my husband was not impressed by the meat, I had ravioli and it was a yes). When it was time to order desserts back on again so we took off and finish our drinks by the bar.

Always pleased!

By Marime05 |

We have been here many times, with family, and then with friends, and by ourselves (my husband and myself). We love sitting at the bar, as the bartenders are really good and nice to talk to. No reservations are available, so be ready to wait, it is always packed! Drinks, cocktails I mean, are awesome. Great variety and presentation. Food is always great. Some things are added and some taken away, but always awesome dishes. Nicolas, the bartender and our server was exceptional. Dishes, tapas all of them, were delicious and just the right size . We had pickled radish tacos, very original and fresh. Try them! Tostones topped with vaca frita are really good and a cuban must! Did I mention that Finka is a cuban/asian fusion restaurant? Sweet siracha pork ribs were delish...everything is good, we've tried almost everything on the menu and were never disappointed. Great place!!

100%

By Zaira Cabrera |

I visited this place for the first time a couple of months ago and since then we came back every weekend. The food is so good, and so tasty. I feel it’s a Cuban-Asian fusion that it blows your mouth. Food is always amazing, anything your order. Service is away a great. It does get full, make reservations or go early.

Love everything about this place

By ms305gee |

The food is delicious. First time trying the mac & cheese with carne Asada and it was great. Had the brisket with boniato puree and alligator bites with Gallo pinto. The purée of boniato was my ultimate favorite, it was perfect. The drinks 🍹 are phenomenal I had the Sage by the bell and had to have another. The music & the vibe were perfect. Love Finka ..❤️

Unique and Delicious

By DRMc1946 |

Although my wife and I visited on Valentine's afternoon, the staff was well prepared for a mad rush of romantically motivated couples. We were seated promptly and inited to order from a list of Valentine specials or their regular menu. We both ordered fusion bowls. My wife had Lomo Saltado, I ordered Chinese Noodles with vaca frita. Both were delish. Desserts didn't disappoint. I was initially worried when it seemed multiple wait staff were combining their energy to care for us. Sometimes that can mean no one will be available. In this case, we had plenty of attention. The menu is unique in a good way. There's something to appeal to every taste. Enjoy!

Amazing food!

By Yaquelin C |

I have been to this restaurant twice and will go back again. I ordered the Smoked Brisket the last time. It was delicious!!! I prefer lunch time because it’s not as packed as it is in the evening.

Good food

By Canesbiggdogg |

We started with the ham croquettes and they were excellent. She had the Cuban fried rice and I had the whole hogfish fried. The brought it out and it was overcooked. I told waiter and they brought me a new one cooked to perfection. The manager Chris came by to apologize.

Unique restaurant to eat and hang out in the West Kendall area

By Catherine M |

My husband and I came to Finka before with family and had an enjoyable experience. It had been a while since we came so on a whim we stopped by Saturday evening. While many restaurants in Miami are packed the opening month or two, but die down after, Finka continues to remain a favorite place to eat, drink and hang out in the West Kendall area. It is located in the Publix shopping center and even though there is plenty of parking it can get tricky in the evenings. We did not have reservations, but since it was just the two of us we opted to sit at the bar. If you have a larger group I recommend making reservations ahead of time. The décor is unique and gives you the feeling that you are no longer in the city of Miami, but a more rustic version of what Miami used to be. Finka translated from Spanish, actually refers to rural or agricultural land and the home where the rancher lived. It is not surprising then to see a wagon wheel, old-fashioned lighting and repurposed furniture as part of the décor. Even the wait staff is dressed in flannel and have aprons like those that farm workers would typically be seen wearing. The bar staff served us water and fresh made potato chips while we browsed the menus. We started with drinks and their drink menu alone is very creative. There is reference to the famous Confefe tweet along with a nice selection of beers, wines, whiskeys and other cocktails. I had a cider and my husband ordered a whiskey cocktail. For appetizers we had the popular tostones with vaca frita (the vaca frita melts in your mouth) with mini empanadas of the day. For a main course we shared the brisket wonton ravioli. My husband and I loved the mango-cheese sauce. As for dessert, they do not have a set menu. One of their desserts for the night was the natilla, which is a custard with chocolate sauce at the bottom with a layer of Nutella and cashew nuts on top. So good! Overall we had a great evening. The staff is friendly and professional. We will definitely come back.

Great menu

By Niki L |

Nice to have a varied menu, the Oxtail is always good the brisket is enormous and the vaca Fritta pizza is delicious, I could try everything on the cocktail list, all are made with quality spirits and fresh fruit, herbs and spices. Value for money and good vibes.

Love it

Finka Fusion

By Carlos d |

Finka is our go-to restaurant for amazing Cuban-Korean fare. My favorite is the bison burger...better be hungry. Finka's use of spices and creativity keeps me coming back over and over again. Try the kimchi fried rice, or the crab croquettes. You'll be glad you did.

Wow

My wife went out with the girlfriends Friday night, as we researched it, all the pictures of the food drew me in. She brought home some black bean hummus that was just amazing. She said it was so good thats where we went on Saturday for the family date night. Let me tell you, the pictures look as good as the food tastes. The Chef definitely knew how to hit all your senses. Great ambieance, service was great as well. Only thing i can complain about would be the price of the beer, could've been served in a bigger glass. Either way can't wait to go back and explore that menu again. I will reccommend the bison burger!!!

Great drinks and fresh fish!

By Bonnie C |

I was told to try Finka's from a co-worker who had lived in the area and knew the manager. What a gem! We ordered a few cocktails, with clever names I might add. The "you go Glen Coco" was the table favorite, but I loved my "Black is the new Orange" cocktail. We tried several appetizers, the winner was a version of bang bang shrimp they were featuring that night. We ended up ordering some more when dinner arrived. Oh, and when dinner arrived! We had the whole fried Hogfish special of the day and what a statement! Great presentation of a really ugly fish, lol. It was amazing and we devoured every last morsel. The Peruvian Azzro con Pollo fried rice, the Manchego pizza, and the Potato Gnocchi were delicious. And just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, we ordered the Guava Cheesecake. OH MY Goodness. I must try and get this recipe. It is indescribable how delicious this cheesecake is! Fair warning though - this place is NOT quiet. If you want to be part of a rocking and rolling, busy bustling restaurant, then this is perfect. If you want to be able to talk with each other and have a quiet dinner, this is not perfect for that. Regardless of the fact that we all felt the restaurant was too noisy for our tastes, that didn't keep us from coming back a second time before we left town.

Decent food, a bit pricey

The cuisine was enjoyable, though the prices seemed a bit on the higher side. The service was decent, and I particularly appreciated the unique blend of Cuban flavors!

Birthday Celebration with Friends

By rrequeny |

Great all around experience. Everything we ordered was great. The ribeye was one of the best I’ve had in Miami. Their lobster special was incredible. Every appetizer we had was delicious. The arroz con pollo fritters, Mac and cheese and ham croquettes were all incredible. To top the evening off, we all had the banana bread dessert. That’s worth the trip alone. Highly recommend this place.

Fun place, good food

By Blikofl |

This is a fun place: noisy, lots of laughter and people having a good time. The service was great and the food even better. Ceviche was just right: fresh and not too spicy, and the fried Korean chicken excellent: not too salty not too spicy. Will certainly return, but this is not the place for a romantic candlelit dinner for two.

Finka

By FloridaDetroitGirl |

This place is very, very COOL. Lots of beautiful people. Don't let that scare you though. The food and drink were very good and the service was friendly and efficient. The people watching at this place is a 10. I'm not from Miami so this is probably the norm but I was dazzled. The only complaint I have (and this is probably because of my advanced age) is that the noise level is high. Don't hesitate to come here.

Wonderful experience!!

Had an awesome time. Went for lunch and the hostess and servers were great. Food was on point. This was our third visit and found te churrasco wrap to be a bit smaller but other than that, perfection.

Perfect "Date Night" Spot

By MiamiMike89 |

After wanting to go to Finka for a long time, we finally made it. And it certainly lived up to expectations. Finka's funky fusion menu is like nothing Miami has ever seen before. In a desert of chain restaurants and tired concepts of the same ol' same ol'. Finka is brightest star. It's fusion of cultures is indescribable. Finka is a foodies absolute must on their list.

Flavors to Remember

By Suzanne A |

We are counting ourselves as lucky for finding this gem! Wow! I ordered the Scottish Salmon which was perfectly spiced and cooked. The pineapple, bok choy and duck bacon were the perfect complements. Others at my table ordered the snapper, Mediterranean salad with salmon, a plantain dish with pulled pork and macaroni and cheese, and all four of us were in agreement that everything was excellent! The restaurant was beautifully decorated and modern and we were happy with the service. I highly recommend!

Amazing Food

Diner was excellent, service was exceptional, the best part was the drinks, they make the best mimosas ever. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Bernie needs to be fired!!!

By Ana Q |

The food and waiters was fantastic. The manager by the name of Bernie was very rude. After spending over $350.00 plus in drinks, appetizers, and meals he asked us to vacate the table because he had the table reserved for another party. We wanted to continue ordering food and drinks. Note: there were 8 tables available (empty). I'm sorry ...I NEVER write a negative review. Much less on a restaurant that I visits regularly because I live less than a mile away. But, Bernie asked us to leave and didn't even ask if we wanted anything else. I spoke to him as we walked out and he was extremely rude and brushed us off. I VOICED my concerns and let him know how disappointed I was. He did not seem to care. Bernie isn't professional and shouldn't be in the front of such a viable restaurant especially in this time. I give the restaurant and servers a 5 star. Bernie should be replaced. Please don't allow one person to ruin your wonderful reputation!!! Thank you

Cool Restaurant

Been here several times and the tostones with vaca frita is to die for. Ambiance was cool and hip, no wait because I went around 6pm yet still full tables. Server was attentive and sweet. Food was great.

Not Good For Private Parties...

By David D |

... or a quiet romantic dinner. The food and drinks are good, but they need to do the right thing when it comes to private parties. I had confirmation in writing for a 50th and we were in a room with others and it was loud and uncomfortable. I'm happy the birthday girl had a good time, but Ariel in the events department never could be reached by phone and she did not honor the commitment I received in writing.

Yumm

Found this place after a day at the Everglades with kids. They have this cow(ch) outside made of horseshoes that was super cool. The inside is just as amazing with the farm to table decor. I was hesitant with the Spanish name, farm to table decor and Asian fusion theme food, but this place did not disappoint. Israel was very nice. My water glass was never empty. Food was delicious and the price was don’t tell management but a steal. I ordered an appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 kids entrees and 2 desserts and drinks under $70. Highly recommend, lots of parking too.

My favorite restaurant near my home

By MrChrisAguilar |

I live in a very suburban part of Miami referred to as either "West Kendall" or "Kendale Lakes"...most would just call it Kendall. Kendall doesn't really have the most reputable hangouts that the rest of Miami would have...until now. Finka is by far the coolest restaurant and bar in Kendall. The food, drinks, decor, music, vibe, servers, bartenders, and staff are ALL amazing! DEFINITELY A MUST-GO-TO PLACE!

All the foods is delicious

I seriously can say that the service is outstanding and the food is yummy. Pork rib was delectable but shrimp risotto was ordinary. I seriously liked my visit here. I definitely will return here.

Latin fusion

By GetAway4us23 |

This restaurant looks like it belongs in Coral Gables. The modern look and set up is extremely nice. They have a great bar and the country theme but trendy appearance makes it a nice place to eat in a residential neighborhood. We ordered the alligator appetizer and it was amazing. The chef went a little over on the salt but it was a tasty and different dish. I ordered for my main course the brisket. It was delicious and a large portion. I ended up taking some of it home. My wife ordered the ox tail and it was also very flavorful. The menu is different and full of flavor. I enjoyed eating there and will definitely go back. The service was top notch like eating at other Miami upscale restaurants.

Interesting fusion of Latin Asian.

By J F |

Visited this restaurant with family. The menu has several plates that a fusion of Latin and Asian cuisine. There are several other plates like pizza... Well executedt, in a family-friendly ambiance. Will return.

One of its kind

By Dolfanlp13 |

Finka is a pleasant surprise in a western suburb of Miami. Fusion of Cuban , Peruvian and Asian cooking. I love the black bean hummus and the sangria is amazing. The new shrimp is very good as well. The bowls are very good . Nice place to hang out without having to travel far

Great place!!

By Aurora P. MIA,FL |

My husband and I love going to Finka. In fact we are "regulars" going once a week for the last year or so. The food is excellent - never been disappointed. Always finding new things on the menu... The appetizers are so good and varied that we rarely make it to the "plato fuerte". The croquetas are THE BEST in town. And the tostones with vaca frita, one of my favorites. The flatbreads... well, I could go on and on. Went there for lunch today for our weekly "fix". The staff is very young and knowledgeable of the menu. Ask for Andres - he will treat you like family. If he is not there, Richard is the guy you want taking care of you. Just go You will not be disappointed.

Wedding Welcome Dinner

By Raul Soto-Yulfo |

We had our wedding welcome dinner here! The food and service was excellent. Bernie the manager was amazing in accommodating and making sure everything was perfect. The food choices were delicious and our guests from PR, LA, Italy, and Colombia were extremely happy and satisfied with the food and service.

Latin Diversity at its Best

By EmilyMarquez |

Great atmosphere - like a party! Food is really good! Be sure to have the Vaca Frita Tostones! Get the sweetened ice tea! My husband had the Masitas de Puerco which he said were excellent although he did complain about the taste of the black beans (non traditional!). I had the Lomo Salteado with a nice and tender beef and great flavor. The dessert was a banana/chocolate bread pudding, yum! Now, the service was extraordinary ... our waiter was Andres and he just made us feel at home!!! Go!!!

Too noisy and average food

By BlueStar01 |

Maybe I am getting too old but definitively this restaurant is not for people that love having dinner in a quiet and peaceful place. Too noisy, people screaming everywhere, babies crying, ridiculous happy birthdays repeatedly in every corner with all the attendants in a very pathetic "let's sing together the happy birthday" because we have to ... Service is average and food ... absolutely basic American food.

Do not miss the vaca frita tostones!

By Patty R |

Amazing food & so much variety to choose from. I was expecting Cuban but was not expecting Vietnamese or Korean dishes. We had oxtail croquettes, vaca frita pizza, Brussel sprouts and couldn’t resist the vaca frita tostones, but we’re so stuffed we took those to go. (Better than the pizza) Great ambiance, decor, & such friendly service too. I’ll come back to try other dishes & drinks! And I was dying to try the guava cheesecake, but I’ll save for next time!

Overrated

By jorgeveloz01 |

Nothing like what I was expecting with the family past in the restaurant business. Ok place to gather with friends in the West kendall area for finger food and drinks.

Good place no doubt
