Our kids rented and AirBnB in this neighborhood, so we tried it out for our grandson's birthday. Everything that we ordered (3 appetizers, the asparagus was amazing) and pasta and pizza were excellent. The wait staff was very friendly. To me, this seems like a typical San Francisco neighborhood restaurant. Lots of families dining. Excellent food. Parking was not a problem.

After a 6 hour flight to SF from East coast what a better way to close the day than with an Italian dinner. So we came here and ordered about half the menu to try it out. Restaurant is nice, Dana our waitress and service is great. Now the food: Octopus great Roasted cauliflower wow Olives so so Meatballs ok Pizza with pecorino and tomato sauce, too much tomato and almost no cheese. I think we should have ordered the Margherita. Caccio e Peppe spaghetti so so Chocolate desert, out of this world. Dana recommended a Marlo from Italy and it was very good. Overall an 8.5.

We were actually out here back in October of 2021. The establishment was super cute and the atmosphere was a nice little vibe. We ordered a couple of beers, salad for app and a pizza. We loved how the restaurant took Covid seriously as masks were required upon arrival until you were sat. I would say the food was good but just mediocre. Would I go back, yes, only to try something another dish and give the restaurant another chance.

The menu is heavily slanted to Italian (as opposed to American) style pizza. And it is good with a number of interesting options. But other offerings shouldn't be ignored. We shared (three of us) a pizza, a pasta, salad and starter. The pasta was blessedly simple but very well done. The recommended tomato salad was surprisingly fantastic. Only the arancini didn't really excel, although pleasant enough. So an excellent and interesting version of Italian cuisine. The acoustics in the main dining area are none too good, so if possible try to opt for the very pleasant patio. I am usually not a big pizza eater, but I would definitely have one here again.

If you are looking for glamour then this is the wrong place. If you are looking for fresh and tasty Italian food then this is the place for you. I’d personally recommend the Brunch Salami Pizza but I don’t really think that you can go wrong. For a major city the food prices are OK but the drinks are a little pricey. The Spritz Cocktail is great but at $10 a go bring your credit card. Service is efficient and no-nonsense. Go, meet the locals ( not other tourists) and enjoy. By the way there is a Russian Orthodox Church nearby which is well worth a visit.

Friday night, no reservations, but the outside back patio was warmed by gas heaters and a pleasant area in which to dine. It was a bit cold though, so dress warmly. The food was even better than we remembered. Especially the pizza, which was as good as being in San Gimignano, sitting in a little alley cafe. Crispy, tasty, just hit the spot. Though I wasn’t really into sharing it. Can’t wait to go back!

I get pizza pies to go rather frequently. I live nearby and it is very convenient to me. The only reason that I do not eat there is that sometimes it gets too busy and too loud. But nevertheless food is great, and service is very good as well.

This was a get together with my son’s girlfriend’s mom. We made reservations and when we arrived we were seated at our table. The waiter was very hospitable and we ordered our drinks as soon as we sat down. We then ordered our meals, appetizers first. Our main course took over 20 minutes to arrive. The restaurant was hopping (busy) but no excuse for orders being so lagging. We ordered 3 pizzas and they were all cooked to perfection. Great flavor on all 3!!!

We were lucky enough to bag a table without a reservation after a short wait (which we spent on the patio with a glass of impeccable - if expensive - Pecorino). The restaurant is crowded, with small tables, and we found it noisy, but the food makes it worthwhile. Beautifully-seasoned salad, delicious arancini, and best of all, chicken with broccoli - simply (wood-) roasted, seasoned with LOTS of garlic and herbs, and served with a simple jus. We couldn't finish our chicken - it's served in half-chicken portions - so we're still enjoying it.....

Fiorella is Ol' Reliable. I dine in once a month, I take out once a month, and I get delivery at least once a month. I've had the food on at least 25 different occasions, and it hasn't let me down once. If you are craving classic Italian food, Fiorella is your spot. You can't go wrong with any of the pastas, or chicken, or anything! The service is off the charts, and I can guarantee that you will have a terrific experience!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. Very cute, crowded and noisy. We were seated in the outdoor patio in the back, which was perfect for our group of 7. San Francisco was experiencing their “Indian Summer” weather, so it was perfect to sit outside. The clam pizza, the fungi pizza and the grilled octopus were all amazing. The Italian wines were delicious as well. The only negative thing was finding parking. We drove around for half an hour looking for parking. Our friends wisely took an Uber.

The patio is great if the inside is too warm and noisy. Even eating at the “bar” works. Less crowded than the tables that are pretty tightly packed. While they are mostly a reservation kind of place, we’ve had pretty good luck as walk-ins. Service is good. But the food is definitely better.

On my quest to find the perfect crust (I have had it at about 4 places so far, not counting the times I have got lucky and got the crust perfect at home) I dragged my son and a client here for dinner. The srevice is excellent, and our starters were very very good (the salad with the avocado dressing was excellent). We all drank wine, we were debating which ones to try and the server offered to bring tastings- very nice. The pizza toppings were also very good, and a good size- enough to 2 to share if you get starters. We had the almond cake for dessert and we all inhaled it. I prefer my crust a bit crispier/chewier but my companions liked it and we all loved the starters and dessert. I would like to try a few other things on the menu (meatballs next). The prices are also reasonable (for SF) so we felt it was a good value.

A little "far out" from central San Francisco, but glad we went. Two couples and we shared 4 starters, 2 pizzas and 1 dessert. We enjoyed everything. It was a Saturday evening and we sat chatting for quite a while after we finished eating and even though there were people waiting for tables, nobody tried to rush us.

Went for graduation dinner with party of 17. This was price fixed at $30/person, but the charge was the same for young children, as adults. The wines were OK. The salad flavorful, but over-dressed. The grilled octopus was excellent. The pasta was al dente, but not, but nothing special. The ambiance OK. The service good. The marinara excellent. The thin crust on the pizza was good, but the margarita pizza didn't have basil!

This restaurant is located on Clement St in the Outer Richmond. The wood-fired pizza oven puts out nine different types of pizza including the classic Margherita. Three carefully-designed pasta choices are available. They offer some interesting appetizers like Wood Fired Octopus with Chickpea Puree, Pistachios & Olives. Among the desserts is a Guittard chocolate Budino with hazelnuts and sea salt. The restaurant is spotless and reservations are accepted. They have a small outdoor patio but I think the main dining area has more ambiance. Street parking can be a challenge but there is a large parking lot across the street and one block to the East ($15).

We reserved a table for 7, but were given a table for 6; it was too small, especially when ordering several pizzas plus pasta and appetizers. The two table's levels didn't quite mesh, so there was spilled water glasses and balancing acts throughout dinner - not a great experience. The pies were okay, but not great; two of us had the Salsiccia Pie and weren't impressed. Actually, the crust of mine was black in several spots. My wife called the wood fired octopus tasty, but the portion was miniscule. The pork sugo fettuccine was pronounced "fine" by those who ordered it, but they both felt there was a lack of depth of flavor. The chicken liver toscana was also rated "fine." The restaurant has a good wine list and prices are fair given the size of the pours. Given the plethora of really fine italian restaurants in sf, i would not return to Fiorella.

Every time I visit my daughter's family we usually go here. Family friendly with a nice relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend it - they have a very nice outdoor area in the back where we've taken the little ones. You can't go wrong on anything you order. This time we had the Farro Verde Salad and Funghi Pie pizza. The children had pasta...then you must try their dessert! We ordered the Panna Cotta & Chocolate Budino, yummy.

We really wanted to love this place, as we live within walking distance and don't have a world-class pizza joint near us. Service was the first issue; it took our server FOREVER to bring us water and take our orders. In fact, she forgot the sparkling water for one of us, so we had to ask another employee to get it for us. The margherita and salsiccia pies were good, though on the small side. Other, well-known pizza places in the city are much better. The beet salad was excellent, though it came out on a very cold plate, meaning right out of the refrigerator. The (cold) baby lettuces salad was nothing to write home about, nor was the cache e pepe, which was a mistake to order. Corkage was $25, on the high side, but worth it, given the expensive wine list. The ever-annoying SF Ordinances charge on the bill was present as well. Why do restaurants feel the need to pass this on to their patrons? Raise prices $1, please! We hope things improve once it's been open awhile.

Two words: salt bomb! To Visitors of SF if you read one thing: as an SF native, I can't help but strongly advise you to visit other SF staples (ie: Flour & Water) if you'd like a proper representation of what our amazing city can offer you. We stopped by Fiorella with high expectations as a colleague lives in the neighborhood. We opted for the meatballs, marinara pie, and black pepper pasta. The meatballs were light and airy, but arrived lukewarm as if they were made long before we arrived. The pasta was nice and cheesy, however the pasta itself tasted almost as if it were out of a box. The pizza was a bright spot. Unfortunately all three dishes were on the salty side. My wife noted the salt level on the pizza was so high she wasn't sure she could finish her slice. Suffice is to say we left disappointed. We appreciated the edgy wallpaper and bathroom drawings, but the dishes were underwhelming, salty as the sea, and overpriced. Don't get me wrong: we have appreciated properly seasoned dishes from well-esteemed restaurants, but the salt level at Fiorella was almost comical. If looking for an interesting neighborhood experience, go for it.. but you won't be missing much if you go elsewhere. SF has much better pasta and pie. You deserve better.

A truly terrible pizza place. The attitude of the servers and the hostess was a mix of total distain, disinterest in the job and rudeness. The pizza itself is very average and it was so salty that we had to throw it away and went down the road to eat dinner. They don’t even respect the customers enough to answer the phone to place a to go order for pizza. I paid cash and the bill was $21.25. The hostess said she had no change so just kept the extra $.75. When I said that she owed me $.75 she stomped over to the cash register to get a dollar bill. Absolutely unbelievable and by the way illegal to do. This place has serious management problems and bad food. Stay away.

Went to "Fiorella" restaurant after seeing a good local review with 4 male Friends. We've been doing a "Guys Night Out' at different S.F. bars and restaurants for 25 years. The restaurant was active with families and small groups. We were seated courteously and the tables were clean. The food was good, somewhat over priced with small portions. The wait person who initially served us was pushy, loud and demanding. This occurred several times during the meal. While we were finishing our meal the same staff member started clearing the plates even though people were still eating. No one was waiting to be seated. We've eaten at many restaurants over the years and this was the most uncomfortable experience we have had. We will NOT return to "Fiorella" and have advised family and friend to avoid it.

Came here for Sunday brunch with friends. Food was good: crispy potatoes, crostini, frittata... Next time I want to try the pizza - our friends say it is very good. This is a neighborhood place with a modern flair. The room was quiet enough for us to converse. There is a back patio that on a warm day must be delightful.

Great food in a small and vibrant dining room. Note the pizza/roasting oven which helps the chefs make great roasted octopus and delicious pizzas with blistered crusts. Helpful staff and tasty desserts. In the neighborhood and looking for great pastas and pizzas elevated above the common offerings elsewhere? This is your place. Be prepared to search for parking at peak times and wait for a table.

Fiorella is great for locals and tourists alike. It's a great place to have dinner or brunch if you're visiting SF. It's conveniently located along the bus line for bus #29 so it's a great stop for dinner after visiting GG Bridge and the Presidio. It is also located not far from Lincoln Park and Legion of Honor. We're locals and Fiorella has become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. It has great pizza, wonderful wine selection and great selection of salads and appetizers. The restaurant has lovely and modern ambiance. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Reservations are recommended.

I have been here many times. The food is great. The service is even better. Last night Jessie waited on us. She was attentive, knowledgeable, funny..... everything you want in a server. I always want to order every single thing on the menu. The best!!!

Very quaint eatery, but the food was just so so. It’s also a bit loud. Likelihood that we will return 50%.

Went for dinner late on a Saturday and didn't have to wait too long. The pizza was amazing and came out very fast. We also had some chocolate budino for dessert, which was awesome! Excellent service, we would go back.

We walked the Golden Gate Bridge on a breezy nippy evening, and then decided to come to Fiorella to have our well-deserved dinner and wine. Tried the chicken pate on bread to start with a glass of the merlot-blended-with-something wine, mushroom pizza and the beef Ragu pasta, ending with the sumptuous hazelnut-chocolate dessert. Highly recommended!!!!

Went on a Sunday night; very busy but no problem with a reservation (make one!); seated immediately and had great service. The wood fired octopus was a hit as was the smoke burrata and clam pizza- some of the best pizza i have had on the West Coast.

Reserved table was not ready. The food was on the saltier side and the Octopus dish was really salty and we did not like it. The Arancini balls are okay. Black Pepper pasta okay. Lamb Shank for 2 was delicious. There is no cocktail menu, just wine based drinks. Service was efficient, could have been friendlier. The outside patio is a nice option.

The pizza is very good, but even more impressive were the salads. Every one our table of 4 tried was delicious, and so, we were told, were the mussels ordered by the next table. They have nice wines, by the glass and bottle, very fairly priced. With that track record, we're going to try the homemade pastas next time.

Great neighborhood vibe with excellent food and service. Not surprised it was packed on a friday night with a line out the door, even at 6:30 pm. And never hurts that its not too shabby on the eyes. We are visiting Richmond from Brooklyn and really grateful that a good friend told us about this place. Its nice to find a local haunt with pizza that is on par with our fave of Brooklyn's finest wood-burning oven rustic pizza places, with innovative apps and mains to keep any foodie happy. Although I'm not quite to the highest pizza aficionado level yet, I do know a damn good pie when I taste one. A few dinner highlights: Lets start w the good: The apps: The wood-fired eggplant crostini was a great balance of smoky and savory (two of my favorite things), The little arancini w/ fior di Latte Mozz lasted about 2 minutes (had to fight my son over those, and you can guess who won), the mouth-watering zucchini fritters were so light and flavorful, the cucumber and fennel salad with pine nuts and mint was super refreshing and reminded me why I like this season. Oh...and the pies- not surprisingly the crust was light and delicious with the perfect amount of sauce and char. I easily could easily have killed one of them on my own with no regrets. My personal faves were the Clam and Salsiccia respectively, but I would (if possible) order a new one every day of the week- I'm dying to try the Zucchini Pie on my next visit. Full disclosure- after gorging myself on apps and pizzas, I was too full to try the pastas & mains but will use that as an excuse to visit again as soon as humanly possible. In short, if you are looking for a hip, friendly vibe, 5 star service, an innovative but super accessible menu, and a great place to take your family or a date you want to impress (with your cool foodie tastes)- Fiorella it is. The bad: There is currently no Fiorella in Brooklyn. And that's just not fair.

Fantastic place for a meal. We had a very enjoyable dinner....excellent range of items, great taste and fantastic service. Chicken drumsticks, meat balls, mixed veg salad, spicy salami pizza and pasta. Yum stuff. Not to be missed.

Italian for “little flower” it was filling a niche that Fiorella opened its Outer Richmond flagship in early 2016, Chef Brandon Gillis bringing a pedigree including time at Franny’s in Brooklyn to The Bay Area but doing so without the pomp and pretense of others and immediately rewarded by a devout following at 2339 Clement Street. Embracing the idea of “Neighborhood Italian” but at the same time maintaining global instincts, partnership with a local restaurateur enabling the kitchen with top-quality Ingredients and an imported wood-burning oven, it is during weekend-only Brunch that guests are encouraged to visit the Restaurant in order to avoid lengthy wait-times, though parking can often prove challenging given the residential landscape and lack of metered spaces. Recently opening a second location on Russian Hill, though visibly doing little to stymie crowds packing both Fiorella’s comfortable interior and an outside patio, it was after perusing items and gauging hunger that five items were requested, round one consisting of housemade Noodles generously portioned and slick with Butter plus Tomato Sauce alongside Gillis’ famous Burrata Pie sporting Cherry Tomatoes smashed beneath Basil and lightly chilled Burrata that, when spread, creates an entirely unique contrast in terms of texture and temperature to the puffy Crust and heavily-blistered cornicione. Spinning everything from Motown to Hip-hop overhead, wallpaper featuring the likes of Joe Montana and E-40 adding to the locals-only ambiance, it was for “Dessert” that Brunch’s French Toast started things off, thick slices of Brioche Custard-soaked and griddled golden beneath Pinenut Butter and Huckleberry Jam while quenelles of Budino were stick-a-spoon-up-straight thick and far more enjoyable than a Cannoli marred by its stale shell as well as an over-abundance of Citrus.

The Margherita pizza here is very well executed. Small plates including the Gigante Beans and the Little Arancini Stuffed with Fior di Latte Mozzarella were great basic starters that came out quickly while waiting for the pies to arrive. Having sampled each of the cocktails offered; for both taste and value, keeping to beer and wine would have been better in our case. After drinks, two pies, and two appetizers, the tab for a modest meal for 2 adults and 2 6 year-olds with gratuity was $120.00 While as a rule, you often get what you pay for…in this instance there are multiple alternatives in SF where a premium spend is better justified and your dollar will go considerably further.

This restaurant features a friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed two really outstanding dishes, one very good, and the others were lacking. One outstanding was the Ricotta Cavatelli con Salsiccia. It was a unique and delicate pasta with marvelous, exciting flavors. Bacalao Mantecato Crostini, one of the appetizers, was spectcular. The Funghi Pie was also a highlight with an indescribable herb blend, but unfortunately too heavy on the salt. As far Nonna's meatballs, coming from an area of the US that is dominated by family-owned Italian restaurants, I'm critical of their meatball texture which was too uniform and bouncy, and not distinctly seasoned. The big disappointment was the Bucatini con Dungeness Crab. This was a $30 bowl of pasta (please see the photo) with approximately two tablespoons of crab in it. I was in a grocery the same day and Dungeness crab was $6 a pound. They could have tossed a little more crab in the dish so that it wasn't necessary to search for crumbs of it.

Awesome thin crust real italian style pizza, very cozy place with friendly staff and nice selection of wine, definitely coming back if back to SF

We visited Fiorella in late December 2017 as a party of 5. It was one of the few great places open on the 26th of December. The food was immaculate. Incredible, simple, yet compelling flavours in a true authentic style. Highlights were the ragu, octopus, latkes, cacio e pepe, starter salads and the pizzas, so pretty much everything we tried. Service was fair. The atmosphere is trendy with shared tables, in the back they have a “patio” with heat lamps. Only one washroom which had towels overflowing from the garbage. Would return.

They were able to accommodate multiple large groups, with MANY children. Noise level high, but the staff kept their cool and handled it. Food was fine, and wine OK. But this is a very nice place for a group and for children. Amazed at how well they dealt with it.

Went at 5:15 on a Saturday and it was soon packed. Get reservations. Upscale ambiance and reasonable prices. Wine is pricey but excellent. They can adjust the topping options if you want to customized. Chicken liver Crostini was out of this world. Our server Frank is headed to LA, too bad. So attentive, personable and knowledgeable. Good for adults and well behaved children. Easy enough street parking. Pizza is thin crust, not a place to chow down but to savor the excellent food.

The food was very nice but nothing outstanding. Service was good on a busy night. parking is usually ok.

Having heard about this restaurant, we diverted slightly off our path to the airport to check it out. It was a very good neighborhood pizza restaurant. Here are some points: Service was very good to excellent. Pastas were cook perfectly, The chicken wing appetizer was excellent – meatballs good. The pasta Pomodoro was simple yet very good and the ribs were excellent. The salad that came with the ribs was very good but the salad dressing was too salty- I couldn’t eat it. The pizza was cooked in a brick oven from Italy and the pizza was also good. Desserts were good, nothing that would sweep you off your feet. The restaurant is small, seats are not comfortable, in fact you are sitting on a long hard bench as many of the seats. There is a very nice patio in the back. Wine selection was very good including some great choices of Italian wines. There is no particular “vibe” to the neighborhood, like the restaurant just a simple quiet spot in the City. While everything was very good, in all, it came down to it simply being a nice neighborhood restaurant – certainly nothing to go out of the way for.

Finally, decent pizza and pasta in the Outer Richmond! Pizzas are outstanding and are comparable to Delfina. My favorite hot ap are the addictive arancini when on the menu. A simple organic mixed greens salad is a nice accompaniment to any of the house made pastas with the finest and freshest ingredients. And for dessert? The budino!!!

I would highly recommend booking Fiorella for a private event hosted in their back patio. Here's a bit more on our experience: From the moment we began planning with Theresa, it was clear that our event was in excellent hands. Her responsiveness and transparent communication made the booking process incredibly smooth and stress-free. The venue itself was perfect for our team gathering - spacious yet intimate, with a festive atmosphere that immediately lifted everyone's spirits. The culinary offering was truly exceptional, with a diverse and delicious menu that delighted every member of our team. Special recognition must go to our server and bartender for the evening, whose exceptional service was the highlight of our evening. Her warm energy, skillful drink preparation, and attentive service were instrumental in creating a memorable night. The entire staff demonstrated remarkable hospitality, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our needs were consistently met. The Fiorella team transformed our holiday dinner into an unforgettable celebration, and we would definitely book another event there in the future!

We really enjoyed the friendly service. Waiter super nice and helpful. No reservations required parking is street side. Pizza is wonderful and local beer selection a must. Thanks

Six of us had dinner at Fiorella and we had a great time. Food was yummy and the service was excellent! As we took uber we did not have to look for parking. It is fine dinning and the prices are dearer.

We received a gift card for Fiorella for Christmas. This place is close by and we’ve heard good things about it. We put in a 4 item order for their 5 piece arancini ($11), a 12” Margherita pizza ($16.50), Nonno’s Meatballs – 5 pieces ($16) and the Ragu Cinghiale (pork shoulder) pasta ($22). The food in general was good but priced on the high side for what was received. Also, the pizza was baked a little too long for our taste with lots of chard spots on the top and crust. A photo is attached. All orders are for takeout only and they had a smooth order pick up process in place.

Good service, tasty pizza and grilled octopus. Chicken liver and favorite bean on toasted bread lacked flavor and a bit heavy. Pasta was the disappointment, the ragu sauce was dry and lackluster in flavor. Wood oven fired chicken was probably over cooked, it arrived blacken and dry.
Great Italian restaurant
This restaurant was recommended by friends & we had a great meal. We had meatballs & the asparagus for starters which were so good. We then had pizza and we all ended up taking half home (which we had for dinner the next night & still really good!). The service was fast, friendly & efficient.
