Delicious food and variety of drinks Better have a reservation. Central fireplace, ceiling heaters in main room or cocktail like seating in library area with bar. You can order from price fix menu a la carte. Plenty to choose from. Combined restroom with private stalls behind an unmarked door in main dining room. Wish service had been better.

We had dinner on a Saturday night and just share some appetizers which filled us both up. The meatballs were excellent and so was the calamari. The Mediterranean platter was huge, but tasty. You sit "outside" but there is a roof over you. They had fans to keep it cool. Overall a very pleasant evening.

We made the mistake of going there on Mother's Day. It was crowded and after an $8 valet to park there was a $75 per person charge for a "special Mother's day buffet'. The place is beautiful, the service was good and so was the food but the portions were small and nothing was outstanding.

Food was good. (What you get of it.) My son and I both ate there and got the same dish. When it was delivered, we both looked down and said almost at the same time, "Where is the food?" So, this is one of those places where you get quality over quantity. We both left hungry. (No, we are not big eaters)

I have always liked Firefly. It used to be a little dark in the lounge but they have recently lightened up the cocktail area. Great for appetizers and glass of wine or dinner in the open air patio/ding area. Also try the patio bar after 9PM.

Great for a date. It's sort of being inside and outside at the same time. Dark and romantic/sexy atmosphere. Fireplaces. A very odd unisex bathroom that is unmarked was a curiosity, but apparently more for me than anyone else. Food was stellar and service even better. Drinks were a good pour.

I came here for DineLA. They do change their menu everyday so some of the stuff that was posted on the menu online changed when I got there. Not a big deal, mean they're up-to-date. I got the Ricotta Gnocchi, Shrimp Bolognese, and Pina Colada. Both the gnocci and bolognese were both foamy. The foam in the pasta was like the pasta sauce and it blended well with the whole dish. I wanted the popciclees that were on the online menu, but they didn't have it when I went so I got Pina Colada and it was still good. Service is excellent, parking sucks. You can valet or try to get there by 7pm (when you can park on the street) and you're clutch. I'd love to try this place again.

My friend suggested we go there last night. We called they said we can sit at the lounge. After we got there and asked for a table of 3, they said 35 minute wait. So we sat at the lounge and ordered drink. We got our table an hour and a half later. But the hostess was nice and took off 2 of our drinks. The food was good but not big portions. The restaurant itself is really nice with a outdoor patio. It has a full bar and it was still busy at midnight when we left. Try the Kale salad and the risotto. I will go there again.

Really only went for drinks but man I was impressed with the decor at this place. I would suggest going to the back bar if you are going for drinks. Its much brighter and when the sun goes down the place is ultra romantic. The food that was coming out looked amazing. Our bartender was very friendly and informative and made our stay more enjoyable. There is no sign for the place and you enter through a very small unassuming door which adds to its intrigue. Look for the sign on the valet stand or you will drive by it several times.

A group of 5 of us who haven’t seen each other in 4 years ate here for dinner on a Friday night.... and loved it! The atmosphere is outstanding with trees growing in the dining room and lights hanging from the ceiling really looking like you are sitting outside with fireflies all over the place. We had 9pm reservations and ended up staying until well past midnight, drinking and eating! Our server was very very friendly even when we all consumed allot of alcohol and we getting a little boisterous! We just kept ordering apps all night and each one kept getting better and better! So many great options! The Oysters and Tuna Tartar were amazing!!! It was a great setting for friends to catch up and eat and drink and be merry! Highly recommend this place for so many different settings... Couples, Friends, even for a business social outing!

Whether you bring friends or a date for just drinks by the bar, lounge area or sit and eat, Firefly is a great locations! The cocktails are tasty and it has good fish and meat dishes.

Let's start with the negative (since it's short), this place was really hidden and hard to find, there was a valet sign but those guys were not necessarily "helpful", they were far too interested in the five of them talking to themselves instead of attending to cars. OK- that's it! Now on to the awesome! You walk in and it feels cozy, you walk thorough a lounge that looks like a very cool library, and then you open up to a patio that is stunning. Some Mediterranean accents, lighting, coves but in effect - simple and tasteful. The back is a hill of green so it feels very open and nature-ish. Service was absolutely excellent, our waitress kept coming back to give us more water so we never ran out, and she was friendly and helpful when it came to dish selection. We had the big eye tartare, with avocado and umeboshi - great mix, delicious, nothing too crazy but totally hit the spot. The lobster pasta had chunks of lobster in a light but very full bodied sauce, pasta cooked to perfection of course. The burger was good but not as impressive as some of the other dishes. It was a bit heavy, even with the cheese to balance it was almost overwhelming but not, smoky and very rich textures. The most amazing dish that really seals the deal and makes this a 5star place was the gnocchi - simply the best gnocchi I've ever had, cooked perfectly and with such a perfect mix of flavor, you'd think you almost died and went to food heaven, oh and the macadamia nuts were a grand addition. I'm not a the biggest desert fan but the violets are blue had others in my group raving. The lavender ice cream, powdered cheese and other magical ingredients on the plate made for quite an impressive desert.

Delicious, fresh, mostly organic foods cooked to perfection!

Everything was wonderful except three things. Our entrees were served before our appetizers were finished, my husband’s medium rare streak was rare (he couldn’t eat about a 1/3 of it but the sever didn’t notice) and after being rushed through our appetizers we waited a long time for our simple Crème brûlée dessert. If not for these things I would have given 5 stars. The ambience is wonderful and they had many servers which is rare these days. It is a cute place and if we lived in town we would go again. By the way, if it were my steak I would have mentioned the problem to the server but my husband doesn’t like to complain. As such we didn’t give them a chance to fix the problem. My son also ordered medium rare streak and his was cooked correctly.

It didn't look like much at first, but turned out to be quite funky and cool. We sat outside which was very nice. The best thing was the food whcih was different and amazingly delicious.

Do come true at Firefly. Stopped in for some mid evening cocktails and app's and it never disappoints. The front bar area is great to just chill with friends and the outside bar and dining is great for groups. Plus, if you like your bathrooms shaken, not stirred, the unisex nature of theirs will keep you on your toes. A+

My family went made a reservation at FireFly in Studio City on Easter. I had never heard of it, but was told by a family member it has been there for years. It was a beautiful space. We sat outside under what felt like a large, airy greenhouse. I loved the decor and ambiance. The food was great as well. Everyone liked their selection. The service was also very good. While you have to pay close attention to find it on the street as there is no sign; I kind of liked that. It felt private and a little secret. My brother in law raved about the small plates, served with drinks after work with friends. FireFly was a nice surprise and a place I would definitely try again. Liked it a lot.

Came here for NYE and had a blast. We sat at a high top and the place was incredibly decorated. Food was tasty and the service awesome! Had so much fun welcoming in 2018.

This restaurant just oozes cool right from the start. It is located on Ventura Blvd (Studio City, one of my favourite places in LA); and there is no sign on the outside, just a well manicured crawling hedge that basically hides the entire front wall. The only thing exposed is a rustic entrance door; so you could easily miss this place if you visit at night like we did. Firefly is split into 3 distinct areas; the bar, the chill-out parlour, and the roofed patio area. All three areas have their own specific layout and decor that give each its functional and aesthetic characteristics. I visited with my wife so we stayed in the roofed patio area (nice for large groups and dates); ordered the 8oz Manhattan steak and Maine Lobster Bolognese. The steak came with a side of fries and the best mayonnaise dip I've ever had; mayonnaise is normally mixed with garlic or ground black pepper but this one was infused with ginger, really nice. Anyway, steak was great; they had run out of lobster for the bolognese and offered shrimps instead which I gladly accepted as I was starving. The Bolognese was superb, even with the shrimps. We ordered a few cocktails like Infante, Oaxacan to the Jungle, Grapefruit Basil Daiquiri, and our favourite, Strawberry Fields. For dessert I ordered the Salted Caramel Tart; which I believe is the dessert I've eaten the fastest, basically I enjoyed it. So to wrap it up, ambiance was great, food was good, and drinks were not bad. Definitely worth a visit.

Came here for breakfast. Very limited menu that did not match the web site. My son requested plain French toast. Order came with everything on top. Sent it back and the chef did not reprepare it - he just scraped off the toppings and reserved it! Over priced for breakfast and service was not what we expected. But a beautiful ambiance. Good luck for breakfast.

High prices, modest portions but all served with class and trendy detail. You wanna drop some good bucks, this is the place. The menu is limited, but the food is indeed good. Service is commensurate with price. You get proper attention and staff is professional and well groomed, again, very LA. It's trendy and always busy. Valet parking is cash only with an ATM across the street at a head shop. Good atmosphere. Clean. Expensive. But if that's what you want, it excels.

Phenomenal food & atmosphere - great find!

Finding fine dining in this part of the Valley is always a bit of a challenge but this well established joint is about as good as it gets. The ambiance is a bit confusing, the "library" is like the lobby of a rock club slightly past its prime, heightened by the mainstream 70s music (Stones, Springsteen etc) and with a vgauely sticky feel as if a serious drinking session had gone on well into mid afternoon and only just been cleared up (maybe it had). The cocktails were fine however. The dining room is a covered coutrtyard with overhead heaters that are too close and too hot, we had to have ours turned off, and the best tables are right by the fire which even in December is too much in LA. The tables are too far spread and it is so dark I had to ask for extra candles to read the menus. Maybe that is why it is apparently popular with Celebs, if you can't see your hand in front of your face you are unlikely to be recognised. Great wine list and top end of average, slightly dull fusion food at a sensible price means we have visited several times and will continue to do so as long as we find ourselves in the Valley and can't be bothered to go into LA.. Usual LA problem with the Actor/Waiters but this is LaLa land after all!

Everything was put together to make it an awesome dinner. Nice environment and design good food with people who love. So, in that case why it was average. First, restaurant should warn customers that the restaurant is wide open, and it was chilly that night. Second point, the wine by the glass list is not to die for and quite expensive regarding quality of the wine. Third point the music was far too loud. When, you are going in such restaurant is to have a nice time with family and friends. Not to go in a club. We had a hard time to talk to each other.

We went here for our anniversary. They served up small glass of complimentary champagne. We ordered fries and olives as appetizers. Salmon was excellent. Service was great. Very attentive staff. We ordered Bordeaux by glass and were very pleased. I highly recommend place for any ocassion. However, I did have one concern. Dining area is open to elements during closing hours. This leaves vermin free to roam inside. I wonder how they solve this problem and whether they wipe tables down each day before use.

After seeing all the lovely and amazing photos of this place from fellow Yelpers, we jumped on the chance to dine here when we saw Firefly was one of the DineLA restaurant week restaurants. Booked this place a week ago and we got a perfect table next to the fire place. The restaurant decor is amazing. It gives a wow factor to the whole atmosphere inside with a romantic feel. After dropping off our car with valet, we couldn’t find the entrance as there was no sign of the restaurant. But I remember some Yelpers mentioned an iconic black door. So we took a chance and went in through the black door. Once inside and seated, our friendly waiter came and offered us a pair of rose bobbly wine. As we were there for the dineLA menu, he quickly took our order. We started with a salad and the cauliflower soup. The soup was very tasty with bacon and nuts. As for the main courses, we had skirt steak and a striped bass. Both were delicious and artistically platted. I loved the bass with mashed purple yum. The yum pure was sweet and smooth which was a perfect complement to the fish. Our desserts were coffee cake with ice cream and a berry pastry I liked the coffee cake better as the ice cream goes well with coffee flavor lava cake. The whole evening was a magical experience. It’s a perfect venue for date outing or birthday celebration. We’ll be back to celebrate something here.

Love the atmosphere at this place: dark and romantic inside and luxuriously exotic on the patio, both with a Moroccan flair. Staff is attentive (even if your waiter might be faking his accent to practice for his next part) without being intrusive. We came early and got to sample some fun amuse-bouches before our salads. And in a freaky twist, it turned out that the (real) British accent coming from the table behind us belonged to Minnie Driver. Being new to LA, upon recognizing Ms. Driver, I promptly fell into one of the beautiful decorative planters. My tip: keep your eyes open for stars. And be cool, man. Be cool.

Fun restaurant with good food. A bit hard to find unless you know exactly where it is. The exterior is heavily covered in ivy and there is no sign (as far as I could see). Even the entrance is dark and sort of obscure. Atmosphere is fun starting with a library like bar revealing a garden like dining room. Food choices are good with an emphasis on small (or sharing) plates. There is a reasonably good selection of entrees. They seem to be emphasizing the sharing aspect of the dinner choices. This seems to be the "fashion" in LA these days. It's sort of annoying though. Hanger Steak was very good. Best Old Fashioned I've had in a restaurant in quite awhile. Service was excellent.

Chill little bar.

A must visit! Drinks are fantastic and you will love the ambiance. Great for night with friends or a date. I want to live in their library!

Just outstanding all around. Food was delicious and ambiance is perfect. Romantic if that what you're looking for! Great drinks, too!

What a gorgeous place to eat. The decor inside & out is just beautiful, very thought out. The food was just as good, as well as the service. The portions(IMO) are just right, not too big or small and leaves just enough space for desert. If you need to go to the restroom, have an open mind. The restroom is co-ed. I didnt have an issue, but was a first for me. Nice to see beautiful women when coming out of the restroom instead of men. Overall a great experience and well recommended. Thanks from Miami.

Beautiful restaurant and wonderful food. They definitely did not have the first string in for servers that night. It was like someone dismissed the serving staff and bartenders that night and then rounded up total strangers on the street and had them fill in. We were a party of eight on a fairly busy night but not a crazy night. It started with waiting in the bar for our table. I ordered a French 75 and had to ask for an ice cube for it. I don't think they used chilled champagne. After we all pulled out our cell phones for the flashlight to be able to read the menu at a dark table, we ordered. Some of us wanted the fixed price menu and you can't order it unless the entire table orders it. Okay, let's start again. A note on the menu would have been helpful. So we all ordered the set menu, some with wine pairings. Then chaos pulled a chair up to our table. Our first course arrived. No wine pairing. Finished first course. No wine in sight. Finally wine arrives. The waiter pushed a young zinfandel for those without the wine pairing and couldn't seem to keep theater coming. Zinfandel not as great as advertised. Another wanders over to the table and has a glass of red wine for one of us but it's been such a long time since we ordered, can't remember who gets it. When we ask who's it is, he answers, "Well, I don't know, they just sent me over to this table!" Our original waiter comes back with the glass but upon inspection, we realize this glass never saw the inside of a dishwasher. Okay, that's enough. Like I said the food was fabulous. If you go, bring an extra seeing of patience (and maybe clean glasses!)

Had friends in from out of town and, since we're fairly new here, we let them pick a spot for dinner. Their research led us to Firefly. And, we're glad it did. This place felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. Greeters were friendly, and the bartender was welcoming and friendly as well. From an unassuming entrance to a cozy interior, this place was delightful. Food was above average. Our server was attentive, but not overbearing. The crispy olives were a hit (shown in the attached photo).

Fun place...good food...good wine list. VERY NOISEY...almost impossible to have a conversation. Everyone around us was yelling because no one could hear. Food was terrific though. Wine on the pricey side..$15 for a glass of no name Cabernet? Service good. Love the ambiance in the room. The waitress should have asked for our order sooner...but she couldn't hear us! We all agreed we liked it...but it was kind of expensive. Dinner for seven with four appetizers and six drinks was over $500. The food wasn't too bad...but the alcohol is expensive.

Right on Ventura....look for the hedge with a valet parking attendant out front. The front wall is covered with a hedge. Too cool for school attitude...play along with it and you'll have a good time! But if you want Applebee's, go there instead. Good food, good service and some fun people- watching. And yes, that IS a unisex washroom....you'll never know who you'll meet.

Gorgeous patio dining, cozy library bar...could stay all night!

This place is pricey, but the food is wonderful and the atmosphere so enjoyable. I went there for dinner on a rainy night and the fire was blazing and overheat heaters lit so it was wonderfully warm and cozy. The decor and lighting is so quaint and classy. Every dish I had was great and the service was very attentive. The only downside was that it can get a bit noisy in the open patio/courtyard area, but it's a small price to pay.

Brilliant meal. Lovely place. Service slow but were told that it was due to 2 large parties. Would go back

Valley Perfect.....91 out of 91

It had been years since I'd been at Firefly. Yes, it's the restaurant on Ventura without an address number on or by their door. I'd forgotten how pretty the restaurant and also the cool bar. Service was good. Starter of warm bread and garlic butter provided. Everyone was happy at our table with their food. Two people ordered skirt steak, two Salmon and one chicken. Sides of French fries, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms all tasty and a bit salty. The only negative to the evening is the seating is outside without any air-cooling so we were dripping hot. Restaurant has a loud noise level. When I mentioned there was a birthday at our table the waitress said please wait before you leave for a few minutes...and showed up with a special flan dessert with a candle. A very sweet touch. This place is pricey. Main courses seemed to be $28-40. Sides 9-12. Perfect for a special occasion.

The lady at the entrance is very unaccommodating. We called to reserve table 2 for business meeting yet we felt unwelcome, good thing a mexican server take care of us. Ambiance is good but the lady staffs look at themselves so highly. We are asian from PH and we can afford to pay. Ended up ordering something and leave immediately.

Went to firefly with a group of nine. To start we stood by the bar drinking $16 old fashions that were average while they got our table ready, it felt like we were in everyone’s way. When the food started coming out they just left the previous dishes and cups to pile up on the table so we had find places to stack the dishes to make room. The food was mediocre, my pork chop was room temperature and dry I had three bites and decided to save the rest for my dog, the sides we ordered were decent at best. When time came for desert they finally started to clear the table throwing away basically my entire plate without asking. When someone made the waiter aware of our disappointment he was nice and apologetic but only discontented about $73 from a almost $1200 bill. Needless to say I won’t be going back.

I've only been to this place once, but I enjoyed the atmosphere & food. Coming from NYC, this place had a sense of home to me. The drinks were well made and the service was good. We sat in the library for small bits and drinks. The cost of the drinks were average ($10 - $16) and I think the small bits were moderately priced. Reservations seem to be a MUST!! Especially on the weekends. Valet parking is the name of the game.

First time here and what a fantastic dinner experience! We walked in and the Hostess was very charming and manager was engaging, funny but most importantly was very welcoming. We were seated and began our dining experience, Jordan was our waiter and was exceptional. Good recommendations for cocktails and our dinner selection... thank you Jordan. We started with their Cheese Board with a selection of 5 cheeses, every cheese selection was excellent! My wife had the Dover and it had a wonderful flavor flavor, light and with a small squeeze of lemon made it a perfect dish! I had the Filet with Pommes Frites and it Was fantastic. The Filet was prepared well and the Pommes Frites were cooked to perfection. Very good dinner, good ambiance and good people watching.

We had 8 in our group, varied group of locals and out of towners. Food was okay, nothing spectacular, I have had better chicken at Zankou Chicken down the street. The service by Bryan, er, Bry, er Breh, he kept trying to make his name sound cool when he spoke to us, was a joke. Glacial speed in delivering drinks. As actors in training, what most wait staff are in this part of town, they should take the opportunity to practice communication, like speaking, instead of making sounds. The best joke was I was sitting next to a successful producer and another development exec across the table.

Great menu, blending tastes and style into an exciting experience for your tastebuds. Winelist could do better, but bar mixes some pretty darn cocktails. If you are infront of the building, you will not expect such a gem inside.

We found this restaurant online and on walking in were impressed… the bar decorated as a library looks fab and we were given a table outside which was lovely. The menu is very very limited, unfortunately the couple of dishes we have seen online had been changed but we all chose happily. The food seemed fine and everything seemed well. Not a cheap restaurant but we thought it was nice. However my daughter mentioned at the time that her chicken seemed very very' 'juicy ' but due to the light which is very dim she couldn't really see any more… She was extremely ill that night and for 24 hours after. This is a girl who hasn't been sick for over a decade and who had been feeling fine before the meal. I phoned the restaurant to enquire the next day if anyone else had reported any illness but my message was unanswered. This ruined over a day of our trip...I'd avoid this restaurant! ,

By far, the best place in all of LA. Seriously.

Loved the venue. You're inside but really outside at the same time with the open air ceiling and plants, etc. We sat next to the fire pit. Great location. Liked the fact that the tables weren't all bunched together providing privacy while dining. The menu was really good for our needs. Warning if you've never been here: there is no sign out front telling you it's the Firefly. The valet parking is about the only clue that there's a restaurant behind the ivy walls. The front door almost looks like a service entrance.

Went to celebrate a birthday with another couple. ordered the watermelon mosaic salad it was very good . i definitely would recommend it ,but the rest of the meal was just cute fancy food. The sashimi dish we ordered, i needed to put on my glasses just to see the sashimi, without i just saw a pretty plate. Two of us ordered the Colorado lamb T-bone. It arrived on a nice looking plate with just two 1 inch think normal size lamb chops that you can find at your local Trader Joe's, your cost $45 each meal or $90 for 4 lamb chops lol. Another member of our party had the fish, that came with a portion of fish no larger than 2"x3". i just wish i knew it was a tasting menu. OH, on top of everything else . The dessert they brought to the table for the Birthday celebration, they charged us for it. Overall rating: Interesting experience.

I dream about the fried olives at Firefly. I go there regularly just for them. I know it might sound weird - hot olives? - but they are lightly breaded and come with this garlic aioli to dip them in, they are divine! The other great thing about this restaurant is atmosphere - you'd never guess it walking into the dark front bar, but the dining room is a back garden, with a romantic 4 sided fireplace in the middle (great place to sit if you are 2) and cozy booths tucked away on the side (great for groups), pretty hanging lanterns and flickering candles. Service has always been friendly. You might want to look at the address on Google Street Views before leaving the house, there is no sign outside except for small lettering on the valet stand, you will sail right by it.

Food is good. Definitely a scene and not for those who are not into it.

Went with some friends to give this restaurant a try as we have all heard about it. We went on a Wednesday as rumor has it is very crowded on weekends. All three of us now have a favorite restaurant! The service is top notch, the ambiance is beyond words, and the food is breathtaking to the eye and flavorful. We started with cocktails, I had the Lychee martini and it was a excellent. Out of curiosity we tried the crispy olives, which were a small bite and tasty. I had the halibut and had to refrain form licking the plate-my friends had the salmon and were very please. However, when it came to dessert-I won hands down by selecting the Firefly bread pudding. While the baked alaskan and neopolitan were lovely, the bread pudding is indescribably delicious. Do yourself a favor and indulge in this heavenly treat.

An amazing extravaganza of special foods. Went there with a friend. It was very busy but a great atmosphere. We had a great time and will definitely go back. A bit on the pricey side but worth it. People were very friendly and so was the service. Enjoy

Restaurant without a sign to let you know where it is, but once inside all signs point to interesting with an American flair. Romantic setting (need to request a table with drapes in advance), good food, interesting menu. We had tuna starter (good not great), olives (fried -- yummy), brussels sprouts (very good albeit a tad overcharred), excellent fries, the opah was undercooked and rather bland but the accompanying salad very tasty, pappardelle with mushrooms overcooked pasta but flavorful sauce, albeit a bit mushy, good bread to start, nice wine/bar options, good service. We clearly advised our server that the four of us were sharing, but not a serving utensil in sight until we requested some. A good experience. Would definitely go back and try other menu selections.

With no sign out front, your first task is to find it. Just look for the large ivy-covered wall. Once inside it's one of the coolest spaces on Ventura Blvd. Two lounge areas and a mostly outside dining area. Equally great for a business dinner or romantic date. Pair all that with a wide, eclectic menu and you'll go home happy.

A great range of dishes to choose from, wonderful friendly staff and really chic atmosphere. Highly recommended.

very very extremely cool atmosphere. no sign, easy to miss, but i think that's the point. when you walk in, you're in a different world. great food and lounge.

oh yes...this is my spot!! Food - Delicious, Bartenders - FANTASTIC and sweet and great...yes indeed my favorite!!!

Good food and great place to go for drinks in Studio City.

If you want an elegant meal and it's late, head here. Great food, solid (though not exceptional) wine list, and really charming atmosphere on the patio with twinkling lights, cabanas, and a couple of fireplaces. Some of the tables are high tops so be sure to specify if this is an option you prefer to avoid. I imagine securing a cabana is not easy but I haven't tried. Good bartenders here with generous pours. The crowd in the bar area can get a bit douchey when it gets really late, but most of the time it's nice.

My husband and I went there with our kids yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We could not have chosen a better place. The restaurant is beautiful, with a hipster but romantic setting, great atmosphere and service. And the food was to die for! No wonder it's so hard to get reservations for dinner there. And it was a Wednesday evening! We loved it!

A friend of mine invited me out one Friday to Firefly. We are cigar smokers and I was told they have a quite patio area for smokers. To my delight, this Tudor style oasis offers a variety of dining selections, a large bar area for casual get together's and a romantic cabana style eatery. Top all of this off with the fact that the patio didn't disappoint, covered outdoor snow lodge atmosphere with fireplace for cooler evening crowds. If you find your self in the area or looking for a slice of nice, stop in.

The place is beautiful!! Very friendly bar tenders, dinner out back is a must! Food is amazing!! Bathrooms are huge and very clean. Will be returning!!

We booked a table at the Firefly on recommendation of a friend, We were seated way up the back with no option to move. Servers were quick to appear and after 10 mins our Starter arrived, just as we were finishing our main arrived and so the evening continued at a fast pace.If your looking for a fast bite to eat this is the place. Not for me, I like to enjoy a more leisurely pace when paying top dollar.

Amazing ambience as soon as you walk in the mood is set. Awesome drinks and great food. I had the baked chicken it was perfect and my wife the Branzino. Perfect for date night but definitely some place to bring friends and family as well.

Very cool looking place, many different seating areas: library, inside/outside; bar area, and open dining room. Waitresses were all excellent, very competent mature service. Food was very good. Fish that night was swordfish, and it was great. Pasta with mushrooms was amazing. Good wine list. Pricing was fair and worth it.

Good food but the atmosphere after the meal is what does the trick. Good crowds, laid back and the prices are ok. There is never a bad time at Firefly

Anxiously waited for a reservation for two weeks. Reviews were terrific, must be really good - right? Upon arriving it is notable that there is no designated parking. Valet service available for a fee, but that’s fine. Entering the restaurant you immediately walk into a dark bar scene. Average cocktail price while waiting for a table = $16 each.. people raved about the decor, which was trendy. You will be seated at a little cocktail tables in a library setting next to the bar, main dining room or a converted large tent outside. That’s where we sat. About 100 people in this room, and very loud. You had to raise your voice to talk. The menu is very limited with 7 main dishes and sides are extra $ We ordered a special salad $16 which was hearts of Romaine, cut radishes and parmigiana cheese over a weak ranch dressing. Basic and no flavor. Our meal was Chicken Breast and vegetables $29 and the famous Steak Frites $42. I would give both dishes a C minus grade. We shared a dessert $16, terrible coffee and a total night spend of $235. What’s the magic? I don’t know. My wife and I walked away unimpressed. If you want to hang out and be at the newest trendy spot, have at it. So many other dining choices close by for real “foodies”

We booked in advanced because I wanted to have one of the tables surrounded by curtains. This restaurant is incredibly charming and romantic. I loved the warm greeting by the hostess when we arrived. This is a "farm to table" restaurant. We were celebrating our 23rd anniversary and we wanted to be in charming but cozy romantic atmosphere. All the dishes we ordered were exploding with flavors. Just note, the portions are small but they will not disappoint your palate. It was the first time I had a well done steak that was not dry and chewy. The service was attentive but not overdone. At the end our dessert was brought out on a slate platter surrounded by a chocolate heart and two lit candles to wish us a Happy Anniversary!

Only problem is smoking...

Super Menu, great apps, super Salmon, wines, cold water & steaks, chicken. Very noisy, much background noise in dining area No door markings for Restrooms seen & No exit signs seen. Sits against hillside with No protection from heavy rains that could flood dining room with mud, area is sealed off, need phone light to read menus, very dark to read menus. Seating needs padding for guests to dine longer, very hard for long hours.

if you must do "trendy" in the valley go here. food is okay. trying to be too hollywood.

Great ambiance for hanging out with friends. Good service and good food/drinks. A week night is definitely a calmer night than the weekend.

Wife and I were in LA visiting for a week and a friend wanted to take us out to dinner. Said there was a restaurant that we "had to see" in Studio City. We thought, uggghh - the Valley, no way. They also said that reservations were necessary. (hard to believe, I thought) Long story short . . amazing place!! Was totally packed on a Tuesday night. . Great food. When it gets dark outside, the place becomes a maze of fantastic glowing candles.Try it on a Friday night. Every want-to-be starlet from the movie studios goes there. Can't wait to try it again!

Friendly staff and very attentive! Enjoyed the ambiance and the farm to table menu. Great place to go with friends and have a drink or meal. Valet parking available and make reservations

Really enjoyed this place. Hadn't been in 10 years and wow they didn't miss a beat. Might of even improved. I will be back.

A group of 7 of us came to the Firefly for a late holiday dinner/get together. First - be aware that the Firefly is not easily visible from the street - no street sign on the building - covered in ivy. I finally found it because of the sign on the valet podium. Once inside you really feel like you're in a speakeasy. Cool bar area with signature drinks - all well made with seasonal fruits & herbs - excellent! Next we sat down to dinner. I ordered an appetizer to share - chicken liver pâté really delicious! Everyone loved it - even those who don't normally go for pâté! I also sampled the pumpkin soup - excellent! For my entreé I ordered the scallops - absolutely excellent - cooked perfectly! I did try the beautiful disaster for desert - wow! Kind of pricey but totally worth it!

So, this restaurant is on the venture strip, in which there are a million restaurants. There is definitely a cool vibe there, with all the book shelves and the outdoor patio and fire places but the food was...wow, I just don't know what to say but average. It definitely wasn't bad, and yet it was not great. It felt like boring food for bring people who don't like to experience food with flavor and risk and boldness. I wouldn't go here again, especially because the price for such food is not acceptable. If you are in the area, there are other places to try. Dare I tell you? One of my favs is Cocina Condesa.

Firefly has no sign. I know it's by choice, because there is a big blank space for one right over the restaurant. I'm not sure what the thinking here is, but it seems to work. I love Firefly for special occasions and brunch, though I used to love it more before they lost the amazing jazz trio that used to play there. They use Open Table and I've never had trouble getting a brunch table, even on mother's and father's day. There is a thriving bar scene with an excellent selection and well made classics like Old Fashioned's and Manhattans. They have some interesting apps like an excellent cheese plate and hot and crispy roasted manzanilla olives served with whipped creme fraiche, and a very liberal corkage policy for bringing your own wine. For mains, the Dayboat Scallops with squash, beets, seabeans and mustard greens are etherial and the Duck Breast with celery, turnip, red cabbage, berries and duck confit croquettes is an excellent winter dish. The outdoor seating area is semi-enclosed and useable rain or shine. It can tend to be a little hot in summer, but it's a beauty of a space with a row of banquette seating along the side with privacy curtains and scores of burning candles in little grottos to add ambiance. They used to have a brunch dish that combined french toast with a hamburger and an egg served with hot maple syrup. On a recent visit it had been changed or removed from the menu and I'm hoping to see it return. It was a gut buster, but a very enjoyable and filling one I had on many occasions.

Mussels.

Cool place to grab a drink

Oh, I shout it from the mountain-tops! Everything at Firefly is good! Yay-ye let it be written in the sacred permanent record! My wife and I enjoyed “date-night” here at Firefly Studio City and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. I started with the “Moving On Up” cocktail which was super good with cucumber in gin. It was sweet, smooth and awesome. I also had the cheese plate which I confidently describe as so out-of-control good. I get myself a lot of cheese plates at New American restaurants and this one was right at the top of the list. I want to live with these cheeses on this cheese plate. It was served at the perfect temperature (so often cheeses on cheese plates are served too cold…) along with honeycomb, spiced and candied nuts and various dried fruits. Yum. I mean serious cheese-loving yum. My wife, the artichoke lover in our family, loved the artichoke dish. She said it was delicious and so flavorful and so creamy. (That’s a direct quote) It’s served with a lemon and a “lemon smock” (possibly a term we just made up) which you could squeeze the lemon inside without getting the juice or the seeds anywhere. I'm going to invest in lemon smocks. (and possibly other clothing for fruit.) She didn't know an artichoke could be so flavorful. They were nice enough to give us the arugula salad with goat cheese that was on the tasting menu (but not typically order-able separately which came with some kind of marinated cherries that were insane. (Insane in their good taste, not behaving n a crazy manner. It was nice that they gave us that item from the tasting menu as this is one of those “no substitution” places which can be tough when you have specific dietary needs. (One of us is vegetarian and one of us gluten free.) I had the Summer corn Risotto. This was the perfect dish and one of my favorite corn dishes ever…corn and rice mixed with cheese like a risotto normally is and little bit of truffle oil. It was seriously good and it came with a couple of extra dollops of different kinds of spreads which were good though perhaps not necessary because the risotto is so good on its own. Without a reservation, we were quickly seated in the fairly comfortable and spacious bar and lounge area which is surrounded by bookshelves. There’s also a proper dining room (with a fireplace in the middle) that requires reservations. It looked like a cool place to sit. We’ll definitely be back here. Make a reservation for the dining room and bring your salivating mouth with you.

Good vibe, nice decor and fast service. The meatballs as an appetizer were exquisite and super well seasoned. The scallops were extremely tasty and desert very good. There was an issue with my entree and both the waitress and the manager were extremely professional on how they handled it. Good old customer service that makes you definitely come back.

Went for our anniversary. It was a perfect night to be seated outside. Reservation was at 6, so it was kind of quiet when we got there. It filled up quickly though. By the time we were done, they were lighting the fireplace right next to us. Our server was really knowledgeable. Oh, the bread and butter they bring are fantastic!! We started with the antipasto platter that was generously filled with meats, cheeses, and caper berries (yum!) and other fun stuff. Loved the mustard dressing on the arugula salad too. We also had the scallops and the Filet. We were very happy with our meals. Dessert was another plus. I wanted a decaf cappuccino, but they don't have decaf espresso (no biggie). We will go back!

The restaurant has the secretive quality of not having its name on the business. We found the eatery due to our precise GPS address. Walking in, it felt more like walking into a nice home. We were seated in a nice, comfortable area. We enjoyed wine from the restaurant's nice selection and some members of our party also liked its specialty cocktails, including one that had the most unusual smoky mescal flavor. All members of our party had seafood selections, ranging from the daily special swordfish to the salmon, and all were delicious. Brussels sprouts and cauliflower sides were tastefully prepared. Service was friendly and efficient. The restroom was European, unisex style. The vibe was upbeat. Looking forward to a return visit to Firefly!

I took my wife to Firefly for her birthday dinner and was quite impressed. Our server was so kind and attentive. We were given sparkling rose' to toast our special occasion on the house. She had the hanger steak which was cooked to a perfect medium rare and I had the ribeye which was melt in your mouth delicious, also a perfect medium rare. Good wine and whiskey selection. To top it off they also brought us a complimentary desert with a candle. I would highly recommend Firefly.

this place is always packed! i love it.. the ambiance is romantic and the food is yummy. the bar is masculine. its the perfect romantic date spot. word of advice - don't sit at the table in the front corner of the bathroom side.. it smells like sewage.

The ambience is great, the food delicious and the staff courteous. They can afford to be for the prices naturally are over the top for such small portions. They give you a small glass of what looked like champaign from the start. For a former alcoholic that to me is a No, No. I pushed mine away. It too too long for our plates to arrive and they were lukewarm to say the least. Since I was being treated, I won't divulge the bill, but suffice it to say this restaurant is not on my list to return.

This restaurant is all about the ambiance. Its beautifully designed, romantically lit and the outdoor areas have roaring fires. The food was good and the service attentive but the live music was dire. It predominantly consisted of a loud hum which reverberated through the walls and made conversation difficult. I guess it would be called ‘experimental’ but it didn’t really aid digestion!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Firefly! It was very dim lit and cozy, but fancy. We sat in an outdoor section with a fireplace behind us which made for a nice ambiance. I got the scallops for dinner and they were really good! Also loved the lavender infused butter for the bread! Would definitely return!

Very nice patio, comfortable indoor lounge. Average food, fair and over-priced cocktails. Great place to just hang out and visit and people watch. Get the address before going...no signs in front.

The restaurant is not so easy to find because there isn't a sign, just an ivy covered wall and a rustic door. But once you do and walk in, you step into a cozy and inviting place. There are books on the shelves in the lounge area, a heated enclosed patio, a lively bar, a fireplace in the smoking area... We were all happy with our dishes which were very tasty and had interesting twists. The service was very good, our wait person was attentive and friendly. The wine list was extensive enough. A great place to meet friends or a date. Not really a restaurant for children.

It might be true that, given the high bar for interesting, high quality meals these days, it's an impossible dream for a restaurant to consistently be at its best. It's in that spirit that I'm commenting on Firefly, a restaurant that I liked but really, really wanted to love. On the plus side, the space is gorgeous and unique, with its cozy library-style bar juxtaposed against a soaring semi-outdoor dining area. We loved our table tucked in one of the little alcoves, which was perfect for friends catching up and would have been lovely for a special date, too. We loved it once we were seated, I should say. I completely understand the need to wait for an entire party to arrive before seating the table if a reservation is at the peak time - say 7:30 to 9:30. But Firefly was virtually empty when two out of three of us landed there for our 6:30 reservation, and the hostess still made us wait in the (also empty) bar. Does the host really not have the decision making authority to overrule the policy in that situation? It seems unlikely that it would be an issue to seat two out of three in an empty restaurant, but there it is. Food: while much of what we ordered was very good, nothing was outstanding or memorable. The foie gras was overcooked and dry, and another dish arrived with what tasted like packaged brown gravy in a circle around the plate. Service: Slow and distracted. It took four requests of three different people to finally get some bread delivered. We were allowed to over order to a ridiculous extent and not counseled otherwise. No one checked on us after our food was delivered until at least 15 minutes had passed. I'm not willing to give up on this place completely. It might have been just an off night and I'm willing to give Firefly another try, if for the ambiance alone. It's the kind of restaurant that I'd love to have as my 'go to' place in the Valley. Hopefully they can convert me next time!

I won't be coming back after how I was treated by blondish bartender (I believe his name was Alex). He yelled across the bar at me, aggressively shouting "no vaping" when the vape was just in my hand — not even in use. No warning, no conversation - just immediate loud, public aggression. Then, without cause, he shouted again that he wouldn't serve me or my friends (all women), in front of the entire bar. The whole bar and even security was in utter shock. His behavior was not just unprofessional, it was flat-out sexist and hostile. It felt like public shaming for absolutely nothing. Yelling at and targeting female patrons like this is unacceptable. There was absolutely no reason to handle the situation with such aggression. Management seriously needs to take a look at how their staff treats paying customers. I'll be taking my business somewhere I'm respected, somewhere that values professionalism and basic human decency. And we'll be telling everyone we know to avoid spending a dime there. You don’t treat loyal costumers like that . Do better.

My partner and I ate here during LA Restaurant week The food was phenomenal. Every component of each course was filled with amazing flavors that just can not be reproduced at home. Most of the seating is on a covered outdoor patio. We were here in the summer, so the evening temperature on the patio was comfortable. There are copious heaters that no doubt make for comfortable eating in the winter as well. Firefly had a typical mixed Los Angeles clientele, all manner of dress and ages, but the crowd did skew older and were mostly "dressy casual."

I went there last night for drinks and chats! I really enjoy going to this location, the people here are really down to earth, and the bartenders are great and make a great drink!

My friends took me here for brunch on my birthday. Loved the outdoor space. The food and mimosas were great!

We stumbled on this hidden gem. And it is truly hidden behind a shrub of vines. We had brunch, and WOW. Every single dish was incredible, and we tried most of the rather limited brunch menu. The standout that you can't miss if you happen to eat here during brunch was the French Toast. It was truly divine. But we had both breakfast and lunch items, and every single thing was fantastic. Even the French fries were memorable - worth every calorie. We can't wait to come back for dinner! If you are looking for a quiet, romantic spot, I can't imagine a more beautiful dining experience. The main dining area is mostly in an enclosed patio/garden. There is a large fireplace in the middle and misters, which were needed on a warmer day. There was a group holding a baby shower next to us, and this would be an incredible place to host a party, shower, romantic meal or just to get some A+ food. The bar area is air conditioned and looks like an upscale library. It was a great bar scene - you have to see this place. The service was great as well, with friendly, helpful servers. Hard to beat this Studio City gem - we can't wait to go back.

A very laid back bar/restaurant with amazing drinks and good food. Lot of people and the venue is perfect. Light is mellow and sets the mood for everything. Either as a couple or a group of friends 🎉

Thankfully I read the TA reviews and knew to look for a wall of ivy - Ventura Blvd is not easy to navigate when looking for an address. The front door on the right edge of the ivy looks like a back door, and the first sight inside is a bar, so you think you're entering a dive, but then it opens first to a cozy lounge cum library (with twinkle lights, hence the name 'Firefly') and then to a large indoor/outdoor room which is covered with a roof that feels like a tent. I was suspecting the food would take second place to the atmosphere, but then we received our appetizer of grilled mussels, and that alone told me not to worry. They were outstanding - never had them grilled before - and I could have eaten the whole platter rather than sharing with my companion. They were cooked perfectly and seasoned with a flavor I couldn't quite distinguish. I'll order them again no matter what else I order. They were followed by my entree of 6 ounces of perfectly cooked totally tender petit filet served with small roasted potatoes and broccolini. My companion had the sea bass which he also raved about (but I didn't try since I don't like bass). We shared a delicious Napoleon for dessert - outstanding and sized right for a single portion but still large enough to share. I was there on business but will definitely go back with my family next time we travel to LA and are in the Valley or even Hollywood area, as it's convenient enough to get to from there. Forgot to mention the ginger cosmo - great drink! Don't miss it if you like ginger (or cosmo's!) I will definitely be back, and I think it will become a new family favorite in LA.

I have had many different meals there. Sometimes they are good, sometimes not, the desert menu is boring, the cheese plate was interesting, most of my friends were not happy with their choices and the outdoor smoking is not so great if you don't smoke since its tented and the smoke can get really bad

What a find! My friend has gone here many times and wanted to take us Newbies to this great restaurant. We had 10 people in the group and felt at home. Ambiance was amazing. What a great way to end a hectic two days. Will definitely go back.

Really, really good food. Can't recommend it more highly. The fried olives were an appetizer. I had the petit filet and fries, which were out of this world. Nice wine list. And great outside conversation area.

I love this place. The ambience is great and the crowd is very hip. Try the cheese plate and do not miss the duck breast, if you like duck meat. They also have an option of half plates so if you have a small appetite request a half plate. They have a great selection of wines too. They have some kind of insect repellant heat emitting thing above all tables and sometimes this can make the table very very very hot. Coupled with heavy food and drinks you could end up sweating profusely. Before that happens, request the staff to turn it off. They're very nice and helpful and will take care of it immediately. Do not miss this place! :)

My wife and I dined at Firefly with four of our friends - two of who were visiting from the Bay Area. My wife had this place bookmarked on Yelp and has been wanting to try this place in the Sherman Oaks vicinity. We were not disappointed. The restaurant does not have signage indicating "Firefly" other than the valet stand which indicates "Firefly" so take note. The hostess was very friendly and the lounge server was also very attentive. We waited for our friends in the dark lounge and got a chance to check out the setting. There were various couples noshing on appetizers and sipping on drinks and the bar was quite packed. Personally, it was a bit too dark, but the vibe was pretty interesting. When our friends arrived we were led to our table in the "outside" covered patio. The setting was very cool with a fireplace in the middle of the patio and a bar set towards the rear of the patio. There were raised tables along one side of the patio set within the arches. As it was summer, the covered patio coupled with the fireplace got very warm pretty quickly. I would say that this would be an ideal location when the temperature is cooler/colder. I don't recall our server's name, but she was very attentive and provided excellent service. Although, the freshly made focaccia bread was delicious, the male server was careless and dropped a dollop of butter on my wife as he haphazardly was setting down the slate trays. It was unfortunate as he was unapologetic and marred the otherwise excellent service provided by his coworkers. Fortunately, our female server was apologetic on her coworker's behalf and informed the manager who offered to pay for my wife's dry cleaning and comp'd us three desserts. As for the food, the group ordered brussel sprouts and fried olives - both items that I do not eat, so I can't really say anything about them. My wife and I shared the burrata and peach salad, which was delicious. I ordered the lobster bolognese as my entree. The pasta was made fresh and you can taste the difference. However, the portions are quite small, so I rate the value as being average. My wife had the sea urchin pasta which she enjoyed immensely. The complimentary desserts were pretty good, though chocolate desserts are not my thing. I did enjoy the black cherry cheesecake. All in all, I really enjoyed Firefly and would come back.

My experience at Firefly was a very good one. The look of the room was great, very comfortable and open enough so we could chat with our friends. We took an area which had overhead lights otherwise the room can get dark which at times could be a hinderance. Bit of an issue with the wine list, we ordered two wines that were posted but they did not have. Finally found a wine which was a good sub. Food was well prepared and tasty. I had the Salmon, so did my wife. Our friends ordered other dishes which I do not remember what they were but they too enjoyed them. Very good desserts as we shared all of them. Service was very good, server knew when to make an appearance and when not too. Again, if you think the menu items are too pricy , look at the menu before you come. Come prepared, there is no reason not to know what things cost before. For smokers there is a small private room to enjoy without bothering non smokers . I thought that was a good idea. I like this place and plan to go back.

We were visiting our niece in Burbank and she brought us here for dinner. The valet parking was wonderful so we weren’t looking for a parking spot. The atmosphere when we walked in was amazing My husband has Cornish hen, niece the mushroom pasta and I had fish. Everything was delicious. The manager came by a few times just to chat and was very friendly. Told our niece she made a great choice for us. Will definitely go back next time we are in the area

Don't be intimidated by the exterior of this place, the magic awaits you inside. The Firefly Manhattan~ Premium Rye Whiskey, House Made Orange Marmalade, Dash of Bitters, Sweet Vermouth, Grand Marnier Soaked Cherry was just what the doctor ordered after a long drive up the PCH. Our salads were perfectly timed for delivery and the wines arrived in advance of the main course. I had their fish & chips, belgian ale battered cod, house tarter sauce, we also had the grilled kurobuta pork chop, broccoli & buttermilk blue souflet, grilled figs, & radicchio and the sweet pea ravioli, forest mushrooms, la querchia pancetta, wilted pea tendrils, almond butter were the star of the show. After a brief stint outside to digest I returned to the table to find that my wife and my friend had nearly devoured the melon trio consisting of cantaloupe sorbet, ginger, watermelon sorbet, lime pearls, honeydew sorbet, fresh mango, mint and basil gel. Overall a FANTASTIC evening.

I was very excited to try this restaurant after recommendations from friends and reading the wonderful menu on line. Alas, they trimmed back the menu for the holiday crowd and it was a disappointment. The online menu showed many fabulous fish dishes. Nope, none on Christmas Eve. The target audience seemed to be the steak and chop crowd (not me, but did appeal to some at our table). I had quail and that poor little bird just looked so sad on the plate. And it did not taste good. The leek salad was pretty and pretty tasteless. The apple pie had a crust of iron and teeny little bits of apple. All in all a disappointment and an expensive one at that.

One of my hang-outs in Los Angeles...A Birthday favorite!

The food was superb but we were a party of 12 and the waiter clearly understood that his gratuity was already included. Wouldn't go back based on the service

We went to Firefly on 12/11/22 and we’re overcharged for a plate — charged us three olive appetizer plates ($29 each) when we only had one. Like mist patrons, we pay and don’t check the receipt. CHECK THE RECEIPT ST FIREFLY!!!

My wife and another couple had dinner here the other night. The ambiance is perfect and the choices for seating are unique with a library-type setting in one area. The meals were delicious - try the Lobster Bolognese!

Went here for drinks recently on a vacation. Cool lounge area with comfy couches, seats with bookshelves along the walls. It's neat, hip, modern. Waitresses were excellent and kept on refilling waters without being asked. Services was top-notch. Great selection of drinks, food and great ambience.

You won't find bold signage or brash TVs at this restaurant hidden behind ivy-covered walls. Instead, you'll enter a bar and lounge area lined with books and paintings. The dining area is a covered patio partially open to a verdant hillside. It's a very cool vibe with misters and alcove-ensconced tables partially obscured by curtains. The service was friendly and fairly prompt. I enjoyed my Purple Rain cocktail - the closest thing they had to a sangria. There's a nice wine list in addition to a full bar. Even with the limited brunch menu, my husband and I both found something to our liking. Our meals were served in small cast iron pans. While they appeared small, the meals were quite filling. I liked my grits topped with mushrooms and poached egg, though I wasn't too crazy about the infusion of cheese. My husband appreciated the plentiful scrambled eggs. Several larger groups shared the patio with us. While they were boisterous at times, we were able to have a pleasant conversation. I also appreciated the variety of music. I'm planning to return for dinner, partly to see the space lit up at night.

Great place for dinner. The garlic olives are incredible. Nice surroundings as well.

This is a trendy restaurant with upscale food by a Michelin star chef. We loved our salad, cheese plate, ravioli and halibut dishes, but the food was only lukewarm. That was disappointing. If the entrée plates were served properly by the front of the restaurant, then we would of given the experience five stars. Clearly, the dishes sat in the back of the kitchen too long.

The place is a bit tricky to find - large ivy covered wall in front but WOW when you get inside - an oasis of casual yet trendy, romantic but fun, and overall has a "buzz" but isn't annoyinglyl loud. The food is TERRIFIC - from small plates to solid main courses and sides that are inventive and tasty. The service is spot on. It's such a treat to go to a restaurant where it's apparent the staff has been encouraged to "keep an eye" on the table but not to hover. Just the right amount of "can I take this plate" and "would you like another drink?" Take FRIENDS, take the significant others, take "foodies" or save this place just for yourself. Love the front bar area with the "library" feel - fun!

Had another meal here that I thoroughly enjoyed. The menu offers great options including a few fresh fish which wins me over. We started with a burrata salad which tasted great and was plentiful. The cheese was fresh and creamy. My main dish was the Monkfish which was absolutely delicious and fresh tasting. The service here is always A+ and the lounge in front is a welcomed chill area. Note that the main dining room is under a tent frame so on cold nights, be sure to grab a seat adjacent to the fireplace or directly under a heat lamp otherwise it can be quite chilly.

Came with my family that livres in Studio City to this fine restaurant. Everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere, The service was fine but the food was really good.

Well I was truly astounded and everything was Wayover expectations from the veal meatballs at the beginning and the perfect sauce to the rabbit that completely blew me away and compelled me to write this review ....I think if anyone hasn’t come here and is thinking about it you should definitely try and please please get the rabbit I recommended 1000%

We had a deeply disappointing experience at this restaurant on Christmas Day, a day meant to be about love and togetherness. The staff was inflexible regarding their ID policy, insisting on a physical passport for identification. Despite us being visibly older than 21, they refused to accept a Dutch driver’s license or even a photo of our passport. When the bartender called the manager to discuss the issue, she didn’t even greet us upon arriving and came across as very unfriendly. Her exact words were, “You’re not even allowed to sit at the bar without ID.” To make matters worse, we weren’t allowed to stay at the bar even if we only wanted non-alcoholic drinks. To add insult to injury, we later noticed that they marked us as a no-show on the OpenTable app, even though we were clearly present. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. This rigid and unwelcoming approach completely ruined our Christmas. What should have been a festive and joyful occasion was instead a frustrating and disheartening experience. We won’t be returning and strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant if they’re looking for a warm and accommodating atmosphere.

The food here is actually very good. It is creative and delicious. Any ambience is great. The desserts are not very good though. And the service, in the kitchen, is beyond slow slow slow. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. And the main course was not served until an hour and a half after that. Management was sympathetic and responsive, so hopefully this problem will go away. I’m willing to go back and try them again.
Upscale,modern but worm,cozy.
All I can say is I ordered two appetizers and a cocktail and a beer.Tried the fried green olives,a tasty treat with the cream cheese topping. Then the char octopus, full of fresh flavor, a Moscow mule version with Tullamores Dew. and a Racer 5 beer. $64.00 dollars later I had my fill and was ready to adventure out the door. For me it was to pricey but I suppose others can accept it.
