This place is a little hidden gem...you could easily walk past and miss it.... There is indoor seating, and rooftop patio seating - opt for the roof, its hot, but you are in Cali! The service is pretty awesome here, quick and friendly. The menu is big and all the dishes are BIG and tasty! Prices are also pretty decent. Drink refills are plenty. Great place, somewhere we always visit for Breakfast.

The highlight of our lunch here was enjoying the view from the rooftop patio seating. The food was good and there are some unique items on their menu. Worth a try if you're in the PB area.

Open roof & fire pit for breezy evenings with chicken wing & cocktail specials.Really nice servers & very chic atmosphere.

Good food--great drinks! Offer lots of different beer options, the beer was yummy and so was the food. Lots to choose from for anyone.

Last night of our 3 week Tour of California. Decided on this restaurant because of the menu & reviews! Took our 2 teenage kids & atmosphere was good. Ordered appetisers - mussels, clams, calamari & wings, steaks & burgers to follow. Appetisers arrive minus the wings, still eating the three appetisers that had been served when 3 people arrive with the mains and the missing wings - they look surprised we are still eating. Now we have eight plates, a bowl for the shells and four glasses on the table, had to ask them to take away the appetisers. Food was decidedly average, the wings were removed from the bill and we had the firehouse discount of $18? Bill was still $170 with a $50 bottle of wine. Start to finish just over an hour and a bad end to a great holiday!! This is not a fast food joint, communication between servers and kitchen is needed!!!!

This classy roof top restaurant with glass walls offers ocean views and very nice food in a relaxed setting. If you have kids come early as the staff are great to accommodate them. If not, this is a great date night spot. The burgers, Kobe beef sliders , mushroom pasta that we tried were all great. The mac and cheese was awesome and the nachos served next to us looked great for sharing. I had the sea bass which came with roasted potatoes, asparagus and a flavor full sauce. Many reasonable CA wines by the glass. I would come back just for the views. Gas-fired fire pits at night with gas heater lamps make for a warm and cozy evening when the fog rolls in. San Diego casual beach side dining at its best.

While they were friendly it was challenging to simply get served. We had our food and had to ask 3 times for our drink order. Even went up to the bar to ask and were sent back and told to ask our server!?! We eventually got it half way through the meal and she did comp the drink considering. Great location, good food, friendly staff, terrible service when very busy.

We were there just prior to happy hot and it was not busy at all. Service was ok at first but got slow as the place was less than half full when we left. We had a mule, 2 colors banquet beers, 2 bowls of clam chowder and asked for hot sauce and chili oil on the side. Chowder had a fair amount of clams. During happy hour we got 4 ribs at a buck each that were 3” ribs with a in-house bbq sauce which was spicy. The bill came to 49.31 including tax and the 4% sur charge for helping the restaurant pay the minimum wage. They do put the percentages of tips conveniently at the bottom of the bill at 18% or 20%. Now for the view??? The three tables on the right as you enter the roof top have a small view of the ocean but only if you sit on the correct side of the table. On the positive side, you can park in a lot just to the north, run inside and ask for a ticket to put on your dashboard to avoid the $5 parking fee.

We ordered the Avocado BLT, Spicy Tuna Melt, Tres Leches, Double Decker Tacos. The duck fat fries were so delicious! My favorite part was the Tres Leches cake. I could not stop eating it. My only regret is we ordered 1 instead of 2 so I had to share.

I was not too blown away by the Firehouse American Eatery, but the atmosphere was nice. We ate on the rooftop and it was a good place to sit and catch up. The food was just okay. My dad had the clam chowder and said it was the best he ever had. I got the chicken sandwich- it was more breading than meat but still tasty. My boyfriend and our friend got burgers and said they were pretty good. This would be a fun place to go out and get drinks more than to eat.

We chose Firehouse because it was literally across the alley from our hotel. We just got in and didn’t want to go out so we ordered in. We had salads and they were ready for pick up in 10 minutes. The Strawberry Crumble salad was served with glazed walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette. I added grilled chicken which was not dry. The portion was large enough to let my husband have some. My husband had the southwest chipotle salad with shrimp. He said the shrimp was fresh and tasted great. The chipotle dressing was a little spicer than he likes but over all he enjoyed his salad.

Met up with some friends for a football game in SD. We stayed in PB and, speaking with some friends who knew the area, this place came recommended. It's kind of a lot of things: A lounge, a restaurant, a bar, a place to watch sports, and a place to get some sun on the patio. We met up for breakfast and I had some great eggs benny. A couple of the guys ordered a light cocktail because, hey, vacation. Beautiful view and a great place to eat, drink, meet friends, etc. There seemed like a lot of groups meeting up there - I'd recommend the food and atmosphere. Staff was also friendly.

Spent a lovely, lazy afternoon here a few Fridays ago. Everyone in the place was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The food was delicious, and the drinks were creative. We had a great time and we'll definitely be back.

A nice place with good service and good views on the upper deck. The food is plentiful here and for those of us that are at a certain age can be shared by two. Enjoyed the bacon avocado BLT.

I love this place really cool atmosphere bar upstairs and tables downstairs really fun sundays .....but the food is delicious . I especially loved the clam chowder i was with a chef from oregon a friend from philly and my gf from beverly hills we all tried it and hands down best clam chowder . The other food is great too and the cocktails !!!

We went here with a large group of 25 work colleagues. The rooftop bar is a really fun atmosphere and the wait staff excellent. I recommend the filet mignon--far better than expected.

$5 appies can’t be beat when you are spoiled for choice. We loved the calamari, the shrimp, quesadilla, and especially the buffalo chicken lettuce wraps. Something yummy for everyone and the best tomato soup ever! If this was in my neighbourhood I’d be there every Friday!

We ate here a few times during a recent visit and both times we were served quickly, the food was good, and the prices were reasonable. Not low, but not to high either. We sat upstairs one time, downstairs another, and both were comfortable. Would eat here again.

My daughter and I ate dinner and breakfast here. Loved it both times. Nice open air upstairs. Great bacon fat mac and cheese and the best breakfast we had the entire week.

Food is pretty good, drink selection is alright (I prefer beer, of which they had a few really good pours on tap... if you like specialty cocktails though, they have a HUGE list so you may like them more than I did in that regard), and the atmosphere is fun - especially if you're into the big PB scene. Live music and DJs a lot of the time, and a young crowd. Lots of events. Not usually my cup of tea, but there you have it, I enjoyed myself just the same. But the REAL reason I liked this place enough to merit 4 stars was its unique aesthetic (a mix of modern and art deco, with an old early-20th century southern California twist) and, more importantly, its location right next to the beach! Nothing like getting some good fish tacos, washing it down with an IPA, then walking 2 minutes to grab some great waves.

Someone needs to tell the waitresses to lay off the weed before work. Talking to our waitress was like talking to a wall. My meal was not what I asked for and then I was charged double on my bill and my friends bills had an extra order of wings added when she did not order wings. Never going there again!

Love this place! The service is a little rough but it isn't a big problem - sometimes it's very busy and they are overwhelmed and slow to serve, other times it's pretty quiet but then they seat us in a dark corner for no reason (then we ask to be moved to a nicer table, and they oblige). That aside, they have a pretty straightforward menu of tasty breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks as well as interesting cocktails. They do a brunchtime promotion, I think $16 bottle of Ruffino sparkling wine and $2 carafes of juice - their equivalent of 'bottomless' mimosas. By far, the biggest draw to this place is the rooftop. If you're seated along the east or south sides of the rooftop area, you get a great glimpse of the ocean just a block away. At night, the roof gets pretty packed and it feels a lot more like a lounge than restaurant! I strongly suggest making a reservation, especially if you're with a large group (which they do accommodate!).

Stopped here for a drink and a few appetizers when we arrived in PB for a few days. We were greeted by a hostess and sat at a booth near the window. About 10 minutes later we still had not been greeted by a server. I waived the hostess down who was seating other people and told her that nobody had come over yet. 5 minutes after that, our server came over to take our drink order. It was obvious that his "section" was a bit more than he could handle. Once we placed our order for everything, we were served 2 glasses of water. We ordered buffalo chicken lettuce wraps, spinach artichoke dip and fried calamari. The lettuce wraps were really good and the other food wasn't bad either. I just think they need a little work service wise. We did return to the place later on that evening to meet up with some friends for drinks upstairs.

Great brunch spot. Mimosas! Sat on upper deck. Good food and service!! Would definitely go again when in San Diego

We didnt eat here, but the drinks were fantastic and the service was great. My favorite thing about this place is that it is a converted firestaion. Very well decorated and relaxing. Definitely worth a look at.

We were there in May 2014. The rooftop was crowded, the food ok, the waitress was good. They have a bar on the rooftop where obviously a lot of the locals workers go. After we ate dinner at a roof top table, we were hoping to watch one of the NBA playoff games on one of 3 flatscreens behind the bar. Unfortunately, a group of people who obviuosly had been there before and who both bartenders knew, took over the entire bar area. There is a door that goes to another part of the roof, that one girl and a couple of guys kept going in and out of. Each time a big gust of wind blew through and the girl didnt shut it, so it kept opening and the bartender had to keep shutting it. With this and not being able to see the screens or hear the game, we left. On the way out in the downstairs (street level) bar, we were able to sit and watch the game. The batender from upstairs came down and appologized for the noise upstairs. We will not be back.

We tried this rooftop bar/restaurant since every other roof top bar was packed with a very young crowd. We were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter, Austin, was phenomenal. He was attentive and friendly, despite the fact that the place was very busy. Food was outstanding, not what you would expect from a bar. We will be back for sure.

We were impressed with Firehouse. Service was good, and the food was very good. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed their entrees. I would go back , and in fact we did!

Rooftop bar was lively on a Saturday afternoon. I had shrimp tacos that were amazing! Drinks were creative and yummy.

My wife and I visit Pacific beach at least once a year and passed here thinking the food was going to be like Applebee's. Boy were we wrong the 2 lunches we had were great and the service was good. The meatball appetizer was GREAT! As was the rest of our meal.

Good food and atmosphere. We will come earlier next time. The place gets pretty lively after 10pm. We were told to get up because they needed to clear our table for dance floor room. We were having a nice time people watching. Food was good and service was very friendly.

After stopping for a quick break as we were walking around San Diego we decided to return for dinner. The truffle fries we had earlier in the day had wet our appetite for more research on their fascinating menu. We started our dinner with the corn chowder which was different but good. Opt out of the drizzle if you don't like Sriracha. The burger was okay, didn't light any fires, said my mom. She also said the mayo aioli sauce item really went well with the arugula. The pork ribs were entirely over sauced where you couldn't taste the meat. Order it with the sauce on the side. For the most part the food was good and the wait staff was exceptional. We will return with minor changes to our orders.

I stayed right across the alley from this restaurant at the Ocean Park Inn. Since I was traveling by myself, I ordered takeout for breakfast and then another day for dinner. The breakfast was great and my service was fantastic as well. When I went back for dinner, I was just a bit disappointed. The service was not quite as on point. I stood waiting for someone to acknowledge. I arrived 5 min after the max time I was told my order would take, and my food still wasn't done. It wasn't crowded at that time (4pm). Then, I paid in cash and it took TEN MINUTES for me to get change. I'm the type to tip 15% even in carry-out situations, but I just couldn't tip the lady that was "helping" me. Then, the dinner was just ok. My fries were leaning on the cold side and the chicken sandwich didn't taste seasoned. I'd definitely go back for breakfast... I enjoyed the churro french toast with a side of maple-peppercorn bacon. That was fantastic!

Very good atmosphere. Food was good. The service great. A place you go back to for lunch or dinner. We did book a table in advance, not sure you need to.

Awesome breakfasts. Really nice views from rooftop restaurant. Menu is unique and laden with California items only found out there (egg and avocado scramble?). Reasonable prices and good selection of drinks. I really liked the place and have recommended it to others who traveled out that way. No one has been disappointed.

We went in on a Saturday night - not a good idea for old folks who want to eat. There is pounding music and lots of alcohol, especially upstairs. We were given a seat on the fringe of the downstairs - but after 15 minutes of the occasional passing waiter, we got up and left.

We were visiting San Diego and wanted to do some shopping away from downtown. We were looking for a good lunch where the music wasn't too loud. The Firehouse was the very thing -- good food, reasonable prices. We recommend.

Went with friends, great deck over the fire station, overlooking the beach ! Ordered a BLT with avocado, and it was very good ! Friendly staff, and, if you eat there, you can get a parking voucher, - a big +, if you are at the beach in PB !

The service was excellent - very nice and attentive waitress but the chicken parmesan was the worst I have ever had - the chicken was plastic and HARD. My husband and son and BBQ ribs and the sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce. I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless all they wanted to do was drink.

Myself and my partner visited here whilst on holiday after it was recommended to us by a work colleague who lives in San Diego. I really liked it from the off - really contemporary and a nice vibe to it with friendly staff. We ordered our lunches and waited for about half an hour when it still hadn't arrived, we were however kept updated by the waitress who explained that the kitchen had recently changed the menu. We said this was fine and when our meal did come it was so worth the wait as it was delicious as was my partners. We appreciated the fact that care and attention has gone into the dishes and that we weren't rushed in and out, I also didn't think that half an hour was too long to wait but by way of an apology they gave us our meal on the house which we were very appreciative of. If I find myself in San Diego again (which I really hope I do!) I will definitely be returning and id happily recommend it.

We were in Mission Beach for two weeks and ate here 6 nights - we never do that!! However, the food was wonderful, a great menu, good service and a fun atmosphere. We ate upstairs on the roof. Great view of the boardwalk and the ocean.

Make sure you get the Devils dozen benny, it's wonderful!! We were a little let down it wasn't on an actual donut as advertised but it was delicious all the same.

Great nightspot, wonderful vibe, outdoor fireplaces, open top dining, many savory appetizers, servers polite, friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely family dinner on our last night on vacation in PB and we're so glad we picked this spot! The rooftop dining area is gorgeous with beautiful views and lush walls of succulents. Our group was greeted by the most friendly and helpful server, Emily, and she insured we had a wonderful and memorable dining experience. There are so many great options on the menu, but everyone really loved the handmade pappardelle pasta with mushrooms, ahi poke fish and 808 tacos. We can't wait to go back on our next visit!

I got discriminated just because i wasnt american. I had a legit ID just like everyone Else around me (mine norwegian theirs american) but didnt Get in because i wasnt carying my passport (Noone Else was but was let in) never felt so discriminated in my entire life. Ive Gotten in with this id and no passport pr anything Else in all other countries and states ive been too. Standing in line for 20 minutes then Get treated this way - dont want that for Even my worst enemy. Ruined my night. Telling all my friends to never Get close to this place. Awful. Just Awful

Went to the Firehouse on a Thursday night. The restaurant is close to the beach and has an upstairs "roof top" with fireplaces and plenty of tables downstairs with a bar. They have $5 appetizers and plenty of drink options. We had the delicious tomato bisque and buffalo chicken with fries. Steak was good too. Service was good and friendly!

This restaurant is located next to the fire station and it has two stories. And yes, they have elevator. Top level they have a bar and a beautiful view to the beach. They have good food, variety and very good atmosphere and friendly staff.

Good food, nice rooftop deck close to beach. Be sure to check out the sunset at Pacific beach before or after dinner. Great spot.

This place is a gem - views of the ocean, cool breezes and phenomenal food. The level of cooking is a cut above the rest and the friendliness and service is also exceptional. Don't miss it.

Everyone in our large party loved their food. Everything seemed to have a little spicy taste (I assume to fit in with the hot theme). We sat on the ground floor in front of the window and would definitely go back.

Husband and I came here for a drink and sat at the roof top bar. Cute place and great drinks! Waitress was very friendly and recommended some good drinks on happy hour!

This is a pretty nice place. They have an interesting menu with a variety of options. I had the Kobe Beef Sliders, which were good. The service was a little slower than I would've liked, but it wasn't bad by any means. The rooftop seating is very nice.

Restaurant is in part of the building that is the local fire station, was very clean, and has a rooftop view of the Pacific Ocean. The fire department was called out during our lunch which added a little excitement and certainly a different experience. It is a little more upscale than most beach view restaurants, has a very nice bar, and a good menu with a wide selection beyond seafood. The service was prompt and courteous.

A long walk on the beach and then….. hungry hits. We saw the Firehouse and went in. We were greeted with a huge smile amd were seated immediately. We ordered the Philly a cheesesteak and the Mediterranean Wrap both of which a ten out of ten. The drinks were good and the service was as good as you could want it to be. The atmos upstairs was way loud and a huge party type thing but downstairs was better and more sedate. And you can’t beat the ocean view while dining. It was so good my dining partner had a party All by himself. Yep. True. Go. Enjoy and have your own epicurean party.

This place was empty while others had lines out the door. We couldnt figure it out...until we walked up and the security gueard were very rude and scary.

We ate upstairs overlooking the ocean. It was gorgeous! I had the eggs Benedict that is on a glazed donut. It's was pretty good. The food is just above so-so. But everything else (the service, the view, etc.) is amazing! I will definitely be back.

We went for dinner and was greeted by a very friendly host who escorted us to the newly renovated roof top. Our waitress was friendly and prompt to greet us. Most importantly the food was delicious and reasonable. They had a band playing music that was enjoyable during dinner and was not obnoxiously loud. I definitely recommend this place for dinner. I was told before 9:00pm it was more appropriate for children.

Recently we went for lunch with a group of friends. After waiting a long time the food came and almost all the orders were wrong. Four people got tacos, they all got the wrong kind. First the server said wait until all the order came then after about 7 or 8 minutes after several folks had started to eat the server asked the guys to swap one of their tacos off their plates so everyone would have the right tacos. A little shocked the guys complied. My soup was cold and was returned. The other diners found that their food was cold as well but did not want to wait. The restaurant has a nice vibe and seems to cater to folks having drinks and socializing. Perhaps drinks rather than food is their strength or perhaps it was a service problem. I’m not sure but our group will not return.

Food is 4 out of a 5 and service is always decent (3 out of 5) and the ambiance can be anywhere from 1 out of 5 during weekend nights to 4 out of 5 on slower days and nights. The reason for the 3 out of 5 rating is due to a recent policy (really more of a political statement) Firehouse is making in response to the minimum wage increase in CA. Firehouse has chosen to add a nondescript, official sounding "3% surcharge" to the total bill. This surcharge is not mentioned anywhere on the menu nor anywhere else and was only explained to me by mgt. once questioned. This new practice is quite suspect, especially as it is presented as an official and mandated fee (which it is not and numerous recent news articles have discussed this). Due to the Restaurant Managements decision to pursue this policy, I will not return to Firehouse and do not recommend it.

I would love to have this for breakfast every single day! It was so tasty! I'm so sorry I don't have a picture of it to share, but trust me...the portion is huge! It's served in an oval casserole dish that's completely topped with a layer of arugula. Under that were two halves of a roasted tomato and then the rest was completely filled with fluffy eggs and tons of warm, roasted mushrooms, pieces of asparagus, and fontina cheese. It was healthy, delicious, and completely filling! The restaurant itself is right next to the actual fire house, on a side street just a short walk off the beach. If you're driving, they have valet around the side and the restaurant will validate to make it completely free for you to park. We sat downstairs, which was quite loud. It's a busy restaurant, with a constant flow of people coming in and out, or walking by the outside...granted I was there on a Saturday around 2:30pm and pretty much EVERY restaurant was busy during this time. That said, we didn't have to wait even a minute for a table but service was a little slow

Firehouse is a fun place with lots of room. We didn't wait for a table. Food was great, lots of choices. Appropriate for all ages.

went as a family after arriving in Mission Bay. It wasnt crowded and was near the beach, so it was inviting. There is a roof for seating, menu is Firehouse related as is the decor, along with other things like a giant teddy bear sitting in the bar area. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our food, my husband and son ordered a $40 seafood Tower, and they loved it. The menu was large, plenty to choose from, and good prices.

I've been fortunate enough to travel to PB every year pretty much for the last 8. Every time i get into town from my long flight from Australia I head down to the Firehouse, it's always been great, cool vibe, nice enough food. I was there with a group last week(Tuesday) and I'm appalled. The barman was drunk, if not he has major issues. I watched him break a full pint of beer on the bar due to the force with which he smashed it down, though he didn't realise, it was up to my friend to tell him about the cracked glass.. too which he seemed annoyed?? then he gave me a water for my Gin and soda which was part of my order, still oblivious... Dinner was fine, we paid our bill, left 30% tip but decided to have 2 more beers, said barman came over doing really ridiculous actions and being very inappropriate, it was a $12 bill, I gave him $13, $1 more than I wanted too, but not to worry.. Barman goes back to till, then marches back over to ask "what's wrong" as my tip for 2 beers was too small... evidently I did't tip him enough.. attitude I don't need from the barman.. won't be back in a hurry

During a visit to San Diego we were staying a few blocks away and we're looking for somewhere to eat dinner, found the menu for firehouse online and thought it looked great, off we go. Arrived to a very noisy bar and although it was a little unexpected for a Sunday night we were still looking forward to dinner there. Security stewards were at the main entrance with a rope to section off a queue so we weren't sure if we were supposed to wait in this line - was it for the restaurant or the upstairs bar... Or both? A bit confusing. Anyway... We explain to the steward we just want to have food and manage to get seated. Not a great dinner experience, the place was so noisy we could hardly talk and there were couples nearby being pretty inappropriate for a bar environment. The food was ok and had it been better surroundings to eat dinner we would have enjoyed it... I understand that tourists can sometimes misinterpret the vibe of a place but in my mind it's strange to still serve a dinner menu with table service when everything else suggests a very loud club environment.

We visited last year around the same time and I had the Sea Bass twice. I have waited all year just to go back and have the Sea Bass. It is the best I've ever had, and I'm not a seafood fan either! The hostess was awesome, since it was our anniversary they made sure to give us a spot with a view. Thank you so much!

Walk in from the beach and have a great Bloody Mary and breakfast. Quick service. Great people watching. I think it's worth a stop in Mission Beach.

The service was very slow and not helpful. The appetizers we had were good and the drinks weren’t bad. The atmosphere was not what we like. If you are looking for a club scene this might be for you. We won’t go back. Not what we expected being connected to a working fire house.

It's with a heavy heart that I'm writing this review....... I used to be a die hard fan of the Firehouse. The remodeling looks great, the quality of the food and menu are way disappointing. This used to be my favorite brunch place in all of San Diego. I brought countless of friends, family, and work colleagues to enjoy the Firehouse. Let's talk about the new menu: There are no pancakes, or waffles, expresso drinks,or make your own omelets. We ordered the french toast- sounded awesome in paper. When served it was a huge soup of sauces- way overly done dish. The Big Breakfast once again sounded terrific ( I just finished doing a triathlon- was very hungry). The fried chicken ( please go back to the original version) was reheated via frying it again!!! mostly burned greasy breading and a small nugget of chicken. Bottom line the menu is trying to be creative but the execution is falling way flat. I hope the management reevaluates their menu and execution.

The food was just ok, asked the waiter how big the oysters were and he assured me they were the large ones and they are tiny.. good service and views.

The Firehouse is located on Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach. It is only 1/2 block from the beach and some of the tables downstairs and upstairs have a view of the ocean. They have a varied menu and a full bar. We were there for lunch on a weekday and the food and service was good.

My family and I were on vacation in San Diego recently and we dropped our daughter off in the Mission Bay area to see a friend whose family was on vacation there as well. As we drove back to La Jolla on Mission Blvd we were on the look out for a dinner spot. I saw a brew pub which looked good and turned off Mission to find parking. As I made the turn I spotted the Firehouse. They were offering free valet parking to customers, I didn't know any better, so we changed gears and went to the Firehouse. What a great twist of fate! We got a table upstairs in the outdoor seating area. The area was full, but not uncomfortably so. We were pleasantly greeted by a waitress and she quickly gave us menu's and took our drink order, they had Fat Tire on tap, delicious!! As I reviewed the menu I quickly honed in on the Shrimp Taco's. They were awesome! Shrimp were marinated in a chipotle seasoning served in a corn tortilla with avocado and slaw, add a little hot sauce and away you go!! My wife had, in her words, the best burger ever!! My son the best chicken fingers ever!! Check out the Firehouse it's got great atmosphere and food!

Was here about a year ago for lunch and loved it. This time for dinner, wish we had gone somewhere else. Made a reservation for a large group of 18 which they easily accommodated in the upstairs patio on a weeknight (lots of tables were available). However, with 60% of the tables unoccupied, they crammed us in like sardines. We requested they add another small table so we had some elbow room. The wait staff was terrible. The main course came out at different times. And, once served, our waitress NEVER came back to check on how we were. We needed to ask for salt & pepper, ketchup, beg for refills on our drinks, and more than 3 times had to sit and actively seek out the waitress. The menu was very small and not really a great dinner place. Seems like more of a social, hang-out scene to kick back. We were there to celebrate and really wanted something more upscale, so that was our fault. HOWEVER, the singer was AMAZING. It was a live, single single and he was amazing. Loved having him play the entire time we were there.

The food was very good and the portions were huge! They don't have a kids menu, but the hostess told us that the "appetizer" portion would be perfect for them, and it was. From the looks of it, if you have a family the best time to go is before dinner. The place looks like it transforms into more of a bar atmosphere at night. When we arrived there was a dirty plate and fork, but overall it was a clean place. They quickly took our drink order and they made sure our water glasses were always full!

We went here as family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children. We all enjoyed our meals. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were accommodating to our 3 children with offering kids menus and crayons/colouring in. It was on the more expensive side but was very nice.

Food was good, fast service, drink selection excellent, fantastic views but get there early to get a good seat.

Horrible experience two days in a row. Both days I came in mid afternoon wanting to grab lunch and waited at the bar for ten minutes with no one even acknowledging me. Worst experience ever. I left both days to eat elsewhere where the service was great.

We went there twice during our weeklong stay in SD. The first time was bad so we gave it another try, and it was worse. The first time we were seated in a timely manner for dinner but waited about 25 mins for someone to take our order. Second time we decided to go upstairs to the rooftop for brunch. When we were seated our server took one look at us, sighed, mumbled something to us and left to chat up a table full of older gentlemen who came right after us. We waited and waited then he finally and reluctantly asked if we "wanted anything". We figured he was just having a bad morning so we smiled at him and gave our order which included coffee. He just stared at us and took the order. He never came back to freshen up our cup or ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. All the while we watched him offer these to every other table, which weren't many as it wasn't that busy. We got the hint. It was obvious that the fact that we weren't caucasian didn't sit well with the staff at the Firehouse. So just a word of caution - if you're a minority and plan to go there, be ready. They may not be too pleased to see you. It's a real shame though, because the food is really good.

Friendly staff and lovely food especially the sea bass which was delicious! Sat on open top floor to look at view which had fans and heaters for appropriate weather conditions.

They were not communicative of the renovation closure! We attempted to call them and got only a short message could not get through and their was nothing mentioned about being closed!

We stopped in for dessert only since we had a late lunch that day. They only have 2 desserts but they were fantastic. I had a apple-peach crumble and my husband had a deep dish cookie with ice cream. Service was great and they have a beautiful view upstairs and a nice gas fire going.

We tried Firehouse while on a family trip to San Diego. We chose it because we had a baby with us and no stroller and it was close to our hotel. The food was bland-pad Thai that wasn't spicy and an avocado BLT with no flavor. The creme brûlée had obviously been done ahead of time and tasted like the refrigerator. The hummus platter was terrible! The hummus had very little flavor and the one made from olives was way too salty. What Firehouse does have going for it is a beautiful setting and good wait staff, but a restaurant's main product-the food-is what will sustain it. I do not see how Firehouse will be able to stay in business unless they significantly improve their product especially for their prices: dinner for 4 adults and 1 toddler was $110+ without alcohol.

service was spotty, food was disappointing, ambiance was also not good, felt like I was in a empty garage, sitting on nasty metal chairs

Best grilled cheese I've ever had! This place has a nice vibe-- try to get a seat where you can see the ocean views.

We went for dinner. The menu is very limited with burgers and a few salads. The lighting at night is very dim and we had to use phone flashlight to read to menu. The food was very average.

Nice atmosphere, roof top table but the service was terrible!!! Server was too busy texting. Food was average.

Had a late dinner and everything was tasty and waiter was excellent. Best Calamari and slides. Like the choices on the menu.

We had “Linner “ here one late afternoon. It was rainy but the enclosure kept us dry. We were able to watch the waves. Our server was super. He helped us choose our food and was dead on. My burger was great, avocado BLT was awesome. Beer was cold. If we would’ve stayed longer we would have gone back.

Showed up to our dinner reservation for 6:30pm on the Sunday before Christmas (December 22nd). We walked up to the restaurant. At the entrance to the “restaurant” you could see the lights were down and you could hear the music blaring. It looked like what you’d expect from a club. We talked to what I assume was the bouncer at the entrance, who told us the kitchen closed in 30 minutes and we probably didn’t want to eat here. We also wanted to check our ID’s. Reminder: THIS WAS 6:30pm ON A SUNDAY WITH A DINNER RESERVATION. We left the “restaurant” and as we walked away we saw people dancing and partying HARD. Obviously we did not eat here. In my opinion this is not a eatery or lounge, this is a club. Very disappointed.

If you want a clean restaurant with good food and good service, choose somewhere else. This restaurant seems to cater to the younger 20-30's bar crowd. Very disappointing!

Me and the wife were looking for a brunch spot in SD and stumbled across this place tucked away in the corner. What really caught my eye was complimentary free parking and the upstairs patio overlooking the beach. She had chocolate chip banana pancakes and I had the NY Steak hash - both were top of the line. It'd definitely on the repeat list the next time I'm in San Diego.

We stayed next door at the hotel and had every lunch and dinner at local restaurants on our week long Pacific Beach vacation. The Firehouse was great. The meal selection is ample, the appetizers are top notch, and the staff bends over backwards to make you feel welcome. As a professional firefighter the aptly named Firehouse offered a meal discount, and a round of drinks on the house!! The outdoor rooftop dining rocked, with live music and an outdoor fire pit. The only surprise was that in CA, diners can smoke on roof top restaurants.

We wanted an upstairs table so that we could see the ocean view until it became too dark and they were very accommodating in putting two tables together for the six of us in a window seat. Once dark, the lights from the other establishments gave it a nice ambiance. We had two servers who paid attention to us and we appreciated that. I had the Caesar Salad with grilled chicken and they were very generous with the chicken. The Clam Chowder was absolutely delicious. Two had the sea bass and were pleased. After dinner, it was a short walk to the boardwalk for a nice evening walk. We want to come back for their world famous breakfast menu.

My wife and I went to the Firehouse for dinner. They serve a very hearty clam chowder, and my wife liked the buffalo chicken wrap. Their "Navy grog" really hit the spot drink-wise. It was very lively on a Friday night, and we had a great time.

Friendly enough staff but hovering for dirty plates. The food was really disappointing. My husband ordered the Firehouse Burger. Sick all night long. I had a Burrata/Persimmon Salad. It had some weird sauce with unripe pears and no seasoning. Ribs were fatty and sauce tasted like the cheapest supermarket sauce you can find. Too bad, as the sitting could be a pleasant experience. Sticky menus. Clean them. I will not be back.

Location is great, Food was excellent, Service and atmosphere were awesome. Had a great night. No Booking required. Will be back next time in San Diego.

Service and food were excellent. Visited for a late lunch, and we were not disappointed. Restrooms were a little dim and outdated, but it's the beach! We'll be back!

It's been years since we've been here and we were happy to find that The Firehouse is still a great place! Service was excellent and the ocean view made things perfect! We had the Salt n Pepper Shrimp along with the Crispy Broccoli. Both were excellent! We really enjoyed our visit and hope to return soon.

We really liked the Firehouse. The drinks were good, the food was great, and the atmosphere was fun. Unfortunately, the hopping second floor was hosting a private party but the first floor was fine. I had the "Cobb" like salad with crispy chicken which was great.

The place is definitely trying to be hip and trendy. The food was pretty good, but definitely over priced. We are happy to pay top dollar for amazing food, but this food was more in the $40 dinner range than the $60 we paid.

We stopped by on a Saturday night after seeing on Yelp that they were "not busy" and we were right across the street. The door was guarded by Security personnel which was a little odd, and the music was blasting out into the street. We had to wait a few minutes then were taken to a couch and table arrangement that had water all over the floor. The hostess made no attempt to get anyone to mop it up. We requested another table and were given a high-top for two. After waiting and waiting for someone to come to our table to take our drink order or at the very least acknowledge our presence, we tried to catch someone's attention. After waiting more time, we gave up and just walked out! The Security guys said - thanks for coming in - my advice - there are better places in town with better up front service - don't bother with this place,

Local recommendation free valet parking in the back we had brunch. I had the French Toast with honey smoked bacon Wow so good! Bloody Mary's were perfect! Great views upstairs !! We loved the beer selection ! In the future this will be a regular stop next time we visit SD!

My husband wanted a burger and there are very few choices close to Mission Beach where we are staying. I found this place because we wanted to walk. I am so glad we passed the Alehouse as the food here seemed so much more eclectic. My husband got his hamburger, which was good, but I was able to enjoy some cheese polenta tots and a fantastic lobster roll. Will definitely come back.

We stumbled along this place while walking around the beach area... so glad we did! We went and sat upstairs in their open air patio and ordered bottomless mimosas. Our server was fantastic and our group of 4 shared a lot (A LOT) of plates since everything looked so good. Faves were the tuna tostada, Korean beef tacos and the crispy brussel sprouts. YUM. Definitely worth a visit for brunch or lunch.

Firehouse has always been one of the best atmospheres at the beach, but the new food menu, cocktails, and upscale decor have elevated the drinking and dining experience to the next level. The rooftop is beautiful, with cabanas around the perimeter of the restaurant, and tables in the center. It's much easier to move than before with additional open space (always handy whether you are voyaging to the bar, or simply dancing your little heart out.) They are also very picky about their DJs, a rarity and a huge plus in Pacific Beach. This is one of the few places where they play real house music, your ears will not be tortured by mainstream EDM garbage. The food is much more sophisticated than before- you won't find frozen corn dogs in this place! The kale quinoa salad is to die for, and the polenta tots are pretty much cheesy fried magic. They also have a great wine and cocktail selection- I had the "Bees Knees" with gin, lemon, and honey last time and it was both strong and refreshing (a dangerous combination). The downstairs section of Firehouse has also been much improved, with large open windows and a patio looking out towards the ocean. The downstairs is a bit quieter and less sunny, great for a more intimate meal. The service was great, our Bartender CJ was quick with the drinks and the servers (we had several for a single table) were also good about keeping our drinks full and getting the food out fast. The manager (Sydni) also stopped by to make sure everything was going smoothly with our new Firehouse experience. Firehouse is an all-around must-visit Pacific Beach staple, and I'm ecstatic it is finally open for summer! I'll definitely be back to try the sangria and fish tacos soon.

Based on excellent recommendations on TripAdvisor, we made reservations at the Firehouse for dinner on Easter Sunday . . . big mistake. The place on Sunday night was a meat market. The music was loud enough, but it was topped by the fun that everyone was having at the bar. I have to say the food was excellent (burgers, sliders, and the like), but that was overpowered by the fact that we were unable to carry on a conversation without shouting. We also had to pay $8 an hour to park I an adjacent lot, but were informed too late that they apparently have valet parking.

this restaurant is right next to the hotel we stayed at. they have different bar food. food you wouldn't expect from a bar. they are more a restaurant then a bar. the food they serve is always spot on and very good.

If you want to feel like is it high summer, go the rooftop at the Firehouse on a Saturday. The view of the beach is terrific, the food is classic California fare, the drinks are great and the scene is jumping. Everyone is happy, everyone is smiling, everyone is casual yet chic - beach-y wear and fancier clothes but stylish and summery and not stuffy. Not too young, not too old. I could have stayed there all afternoon!

I took my daughter and a friend here on a Sunday early afternoon for lunch. We could of had immediate seating downstairs which is totally inside, but opted to wait for an open table outside on the roof. It was worth the wait because the view was great! You can see the beach and although the restaurant isn't right on the beach, you have the feeling that you are. My daughter had a really delicious kale salad that had Fuji apples, parmesan cheese, and almonds in it with a lemon pepper dressing. I had a buffalo chicken wrap appetizer - very fresh and tasty. Her friend had fish tacos which he said were good. I would definitely go again.

We came here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. It's great for families, couples, etc. We started with a generous cup of their New England Clam Chowder, and it was amazing! Then, we had the Drunken Noodles, perfectly cooked Muscles w/Chorizo, and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts....Mmmm! The hostesses were nice, and our server Averi did a great job. We all left happy.

We have been to the Firehouse a number of times but specifically twice this week. Both visits were excellent. The menu and food served is definitely a step above the normal beach side restaurant fare. In addition to the high quality of their food, the service is outstanding. They obviously work very hard to make your dining experience very good. The servers are timely, well prepared and knowledgeable of the menu. They remain attentive throughout the meal and could not be more pleasant. The menu offers a nice variety. The portions are generous without being excessive. Excellent flavor to all the choices we have had, and the food comes to the table hot! A very good choice in Pacific Beach!

It’s located basically on the beach, and has an energy to match it. Everything is open air, but has/can have a roof if needed for inclement weather. The whole restaurant is very trendy and fun. I recommend the roof for ocean views. The food was good, the duck fat fries are excellent, perfectly seasoned and crispy. The bacon fat mac n’ cheese is the comfort food you didn’t know you needed, and the ribs are fall off the bone. I find that they were a little heavy handed on the BBQ sauce, but it wasn’t overpowering. Still quite tasty. The Cesar salad was very normal, but so is every Cesar salad. Service was friendly, not especially quick necessarily, but it’s a place I don’t mind waiting around at because it’s just fun to be there with good company.

I try and avoid boardwalk-type restaruants because they are usually a bit overpriced and the quality of food (and sometimes people) are not great. This place was not necessarily like that. I thought the food was pretty good (calamari was a bit cold) and the prices were reasonable. I can't say that I'd go back there but i wasn't unhappy.

A large group out for a team meal. Got seated on the upper deck which was nice while the sun was out. They had propane heaters to keep us warm ish. From the start the waiter was clearly in over his head. Screwed up drink orders, didn't bother writing down the appetizer orders which, of course, got screwed up. Asked three times for my appy, told him to forget it twice and it finally showed up. Pita plate, meh. Calamari, meh. Waiting that long for the appy wasn't a problem since the entrees took 45 minutes to arrive. and arrive they did it over a ten minute period. had to basically stand on the table and yell for a second beer. my pad thai was served to me in a Chinese to go carton. Maybe points there for imagination. our side of the patio had no lighting except that cast by the open fire and the propane heaters. they managed to find a few candles to put on our tables eventually so we could eat our entrees. and, since we were a large group, got an 18% tip added on. Which is about 17% too much. The bus staff seemed to know what they were doing but back to Waiter School for the other guy. Sheesh.

We ate here on a few occasions, all of which were as good as the last. We had breakfast on the terrace, fruit and yoghurt with granola was perfect. Dinner was deadly good, they have an excellent selection of salads which were very tasty and the pad Thai pretty good too. Wraps, burgers, sweet potato fries, could not fault at all. Staff were very friendly and efficient!

Staff was friendly, very convenient to hotel, food was excellent. Ribs were fall off the bone delicious, and the mac and cheese was by far the best!

My wife and I spooted this place by accident, as it turns out what a find! Service was excellent and drinks and appetizers were over the top, too full to eat!! Would definately go back, the roof is where the action is and the view......spectacular!! Will be going back this trip!!

We had breakfast here with about 12 people. Everyone thought the food was good and the prices are reasonable. Service was quick and friendly. There is free valet parking which is good as there is absolutely no place to park around the restaurant.

We came on a very early Sunday evening for dinner and there was a DJ upstairs and the music was so loud downstairs you could barely hear yourself think. The service was good, although the food took a while, but was good. Would not return due to the "bar" atmosphere, when we really just wanted a normal dinner.

We walked down the beach and wandered into Firehouse, and I’m so happy we did. The sea bass was the best I’ve ever had. My niece had the Kobe beef sliders with duck fat fries and raves about them. The drinks aren’t watered down and the server was attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited this restaurant with the family while on holiday at pacific beach. Food and service were excellent. The live band were great. Would definitely go back.

We went for a late dinner, in America and being in the late summer its incredible how early they dinner, it was around 9pm and very difficult to find a place that have the kitchen open, they were already starting to party everywhere but for us, latin, dining at 9pm is early, so here we arrive and could have an excellent dinner, with fish , homemade pasta or just a good burger and service was very good. Good beer, after taking our meal, the place was with music and party started. Good option for locals and also for us , which are doing research for promotion of the place

Went here for Lunch/Brunch on a Sunday. Sit downstairs after 1:00 as it gets very noisy upstairs and it's always Sunday Funday in PB. We did sit downstairs. EVERYTHING on the menu looked amazing. I had the veggie wrap...outstanding! My daughter had the chicken sandwich........yummy. Fries were amazing. Plates are big enough to share. When I go again I will get a starter to share and an entree to share. Service is slow so plan on that. Bonus.....Complimentary Valet parking now. A big bonus. I am looking forward to coming back for breakfast soon!!

We found the Firehouse Restaurant after a hour in the Local Pub/Bar in PB. I guess the restaurant is so named as it is located next to the local fire station. The food was excellent, the service was first class. We were downstairs near the fireplace which always works wonders for your perception of the ambience. Pricing was reasonable for the quality of the food served. I would definitely return.

We set out to find a new place to get breakfast close to the beach. We knew the rooftop would have a nice view but we were pleasantly surprised with the excellent food.

Came here for an early dinner, sat up on the roof top patio. Loved the view and nice to have a bar right up there. Had a fantastic Don Julio Margarita and my companions drinks looked good too. We had the hummus app which was great and burgers. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend for a casual bite to eat.

Quinoa salad good and has spicey dressing. Hamburger and seasoned fries typical. Sit on top to check out the view. $$ for area.

Wandered in here for quick bite, and it does that very well, with very charming and helpful staff. Not fine dining of course, but it does what it does perfectly.

My husband and son and I recently ate at this restaurant. We had the burgers and veggie burger. The food was really good. It was not very crowded, but I can see how it could get loud it if was.

We parked at Mission Beach Park and walked on the boardwalk to Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach. Looking for a place to have dinner, we noticed Firehouse. Decided to give it a try. Boy, are we glad we did. It's a loud music, friendly atmospheric place. Good food, good, friendly service. Hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and Firehouse fish tacos all around the table of 4. We all enjoyed it with beer and wine. Then back to the boardwalk to walk it off as we returned to Mission Beach.

We got a water taxi over to Coronado to have a look around whilst we were staying in San Diego. Once we had got through the Seaport village type place near the quay, we found the Firehouse and went in for some lunch. Great place, great atmosphere and great food. highly recommended

Waitstaff offer very good service. Clam chowder was very good. Grilled fish tacos were good...but don't measure up to Fat Fish Restaurant that's down the street.

We did take out. The salads and tomato soup was outstanding. The help seemed a bit confused and not real helpful

We were here on a Sunday and most of the restaurants and bars were crazy and packed. We saw this place and it seemed a little more low key. We sat on the downstairs patio and had a couple of appetizers and drinks. Their Caesar salad was fantastic as were their clams. Service was spotty, but we weren't in a hurry so just enjoyed the settIng.

This is definitely more a lounge then "eatery". The food was horrible, not even what I consider average bar fare. I had a quinoa salad that was mostly greens with a sprinkling of quinoa and so overly dressed that it was soaked, I couldn't eat it. My other half had chicken fingers and we shared a plate of nachos. The chicken fingers were like eating frozen Costco chicken fingers-- bland breading, chewy and stringy. Totally awful! The nachos were basic cheap nacho chips with a few beans, cheese, jalapenos and sour cream. Nothing special, and definitely not worth the $10. Overall, a nice rooftop deck for drinks, but eat somewhere else.

Had dinner here and also breakfast. Both were excellent. The food is very very good as is the wine. We were on the 2nd floor which is almost outside. Atmosphere was great.

Great food - great location - over priced -outrageously bad service. Met family for dinner. Called ahead for a reservation. Arrive and seated promptly by hostess. Waitress arrived and we ordered drinks, appetizers, and entres. Drinks arrived, but no food. After 30 minutes we couldn't find our server - we asked several other staff standing around. Our wings started showing up on scalding hot plates. We asked for bread because one of our party couldn't eat the wings. We asked again for our meals and it took almost another half hour. They were very small portions except for the ribs dinner. The food clearly had been sitting from the look of the meat and the sauces on my steak had congealed. We asked for a few extra potatoes because everything was so small. Then at the end after the plates had been cleared we got the bread and the potatoes. The crazy part was all the little things we asked for were itemized on the bill as additional charges. The waitress never mentioned once that any of the extra items we requested would be an additional charge. Total fail

Called here on a Saturday after looking for somewhere to eat early evening. The resturants and bars on the beach sidewalk were stacked out with young people. This restaurant was busy but less boisterous than the others. Our server was very good and made recommendations. We shared prawns as a starter and had different burgers fir mains. Would recommend the Sangrea

Had ribs, nothing special, fries were jot hot, typical tourist place, daughter had chicken strips and fries, no flavor in chicken strips, wonder if management has ever tried this item, very bland.

Very convenient to walk to from our hotel, nice atmosphere, our waiter was in training (but he was fabulous) and the food was good... their breakfast menu looked really tasty... so we plan to try that on our next San Diego visit!

We were 5 member family; Mom, Dad, Grammom, and two nine year olds. No kids menu. Few dinner choices. Staff was not helpful. Seems like not a place for dinner, more to drink. Paid high prices for mediocre food. Very disappointing for way too much money.

Popped in for breakfast. Menu was diverse. My son said the pancakes rivaled my own. Kinda bitter about that, but what do you do?! Service was great. Fast. Sat up on the roof which was fun. This place was crazy busy at night with a line at the door.

Always a great place to eat and have an adult beverage!! Staff is so friendly and they remember you when you come to dine. Menu is outstanding - casual dining at it's best!!

Walked in there had the “bar”smell to this place so I wasn’t really expecting much for a food especially this place had more of a bar image. Ordered couple of dishes and wow everything we ordered came in timely manner and everything was a winner! . I would definitely recommend this place for large or small group and they have great kids menu as well.

This was a family outing. There was 12 of us and no one was too excited about the mediocre meals. They brought everyone's food and forgot mine. They finally realized it and hustled to finally get it to me. The staff was nice, however, it didn't make up for the food. I would rather eat as t McDonald's. I we won't be back.

We ate there in May and paid with a business credit card which was not used ANYWHERE ELSE on our vacation in San Diego. Within 3 days the card and number on the back were used repeatedly in Ensenada Mexico. Our bank caught it and stopped it, but told us it had to come from there where they physically saw the card and number on the back. Never again, the food is borderline and service not anything to write about, there are lots of beach bars to frequent at Pacific Beach.

We stopped and had only drinks and some appetizers for dinner. We all enjoyed our stop here, however the restaurant was very loud. We had the shishito peppers, corn dogs, brussel sprouts, hummus, guacamole and some sliders. All were great. I would highly recommend the sprouts and the duck fat fries, delicious!

Wonderful place to enjoy a tasty outdoor, rooftop breakfast. Warning: they open late!! If you like breakfast at 7 or 8 you are out of luck!

I made a reservation for this place due to it's proximity to the place we were staying, as well as the potential ocean view. It was a Friday at 6:30. Already, the rooftop terrace with tables offering the view and ocean air was filled with loud techno music and college kids who were acting in such a way that I didn't want my 13 year old to witness their behavior. We moved back inside to the downstairs area. The menu offers a variety, and our server was pleasant. When I mentioned the noise level another server said something to the effect of, "this is PB, it's always like this". If you are looking to do a family dinner out, this isn't your spot - at least not on a Friday evening - even early evening. The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't notably good enough to make up for the atmosphere.

We ate downstairs, upstairs is even noisier. It's a swinging scene with loud rock music heard out on the street, especially since the door is often open and in chilly weather that makes the seating downstairs rather cold. Salt and pepper shrimp with a very spicy sauce on the side along with calamari which was also rather salty got our meal off to a good start. Very good clam chowder, full of clams and potatoes. Caesar salad was fresh and otherwise not remarkable. One came with salmon which was underdone, rather fishy, but they replaced that quickly with shrimp. The BELT (bacon, lettuce, tomato and egg) sandwich was very good. The fries with it had cooled off considerable in the cold breeze from the open door so weren't so good, and the duck fat they were cooked in didn't make any difference, was not noticeable.

Sat on the rooftop - very pleasant with the heaters; live band playing music. Food was great and service was excellent!

We eat here every time in San Diego. Great breakfast and lunches. Good views from rooftop. Also take out to beach. Staff friendly.

Some friends were staying in a nearby hotel, so we walked over to Firehouse Café. All of us had a good meal and we really liked the tomato soup! As we were leaving, we noticed that the restaurant was occupying a Handicap parking space for their valet service podium and umbrella. Me being disabled, I found this disturbing. This was over three weeks ago. I sent an e-mail to the restaurant and received a reply from one of the assistant general managers and I was told this would not happen again. As of yesterday, the valet service podium and umbrella continues to occupy the Handicap space # 27. I will not longer recommend or give my business to this restaurant until the situation is resolved.

We arrived on a Wed at 5p. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food was very good. We had the Sea Bass and the Kobe Sliders ... both very good.

I used to love this place, but doubt I will go back again. Almost the whole top floor was empty, and we got seating at the worst table right in front of the "DJ".... music was too loud to even talk and this was at 4 pm... Food was ok, drinks were disappointing.

Great food and service the price was a little higher than normal but was very good. The place is open and you can see out but there isn't anything worth seeing. Weekends are not the time to go unless you want to deal with a huge crowd

Visited twice for dinner, just off the front so slightly quieter and- dare I say it - civilised! Interesting menu , with food and service great, at a realistic price. There is a bar and table upstairs, but noisier and probably more popular.

This restaurant is located right in PB! It has a really cool atmosphere with great indoor or outdoor seating. The food is fantastic as well! Great spot to check out if you're in Pacific Beach.

Unbelievably rude. Friend’s ID was confiscated at entrance. So disrespectful with ridiculous security who assaults and abuses patrons. Unsafe environment. Incompetent general management. Only after police arrived did they return the ID. Who steals restaurant. Ignorant and horrible place. Food & drinks also stinks.

I had grilled fish tacos, the fish was quite fishy but it was tender enough. The service wasn't impressive. I went with a group of friends, we had to ask for service for menu, ordering and collecting bills. Considering the restaurant has 3% of surcharge and 18% of compulsory tips, I expected better service. I wouldn't return, but a couple of my friends were pleased with the portion and flavour of their meals.

The location is perfect especially with the upstairs outdoor seating area. We ordered breakfast and the food was just OK, nothing that I would necessarily go back for. The service did not feel genuine and we were barely even checked on. In fact when we were done eating we had to search for our server in order to pay the bill. The upstairs area is great especially since there is a good size fire pit to enjoy a cocktail next to when it is chilly out. I would go back to enjoy a drink upstairs.

Go to the rooftop eating and drinking area for great service and very nice food. Family friendly most of the day and a very casual scene for a few drinks while visiting with friends.

We were in San Diego and decided to give this place a shot. Immediately they staff was rude and hostile with bad customer service. The waitress had to come back and retake our order because she forgot, because she didn’t write anything down. We got the Bacon fat Mac n Cheese, Calamari, and the Ahi Stack. Nothing had flavor, the calamari was tough. The menu said the Ahi stack had sauce but it doesn’t and the mac n cheese took 3 salt packet before it was edible. You can tell that they don’t put a lot of effort into the restaurant portion of the bar. The drinks were good but not good enough to salvage the whole night. Save yourself the money and the time and skip this place.

The bacon fat mac and cheese was amazing! All the food was good. Recommend you stop there and eat. Great atmosphere.

We have eaten here a couple of times, but on this visit my husband and I were on a ridiculously restrictive diet, and our only real option was the chopped chicken salad. What a delight to discover that our salads were not just a consolation prize; they were outstanding and we devoured them! The chicken was perfectly seasoned and grilled, the bacon was delicious, the kalamata olives gave it some tang, and the dressing was tasty. That is not to say that we didn't covet the burgers ordered by our friends. They were gigantic, beautiful, and we wanted them. Next time!
Great food
Great place to enjoy a good meal close to the pacific beach. Had here diner with a small group and a lunch with a large group. Even the large group (33) was not an issue in serving the food in a relative short time.
