If you love avocado toast like I do, this is the place to go. At first bite, you get the deliciously creamy avocado, the buttery goodness of the poached egg and the crunch of the toast. The fresh pressed juice is not to be missed it rotates so you always have to find out what kind is available but all 3 varieties I have tried have been amazing. Finish it all off with one of the banana granola pancakes with real maple syrup (they do sell single pancakes) and you will be in breakfast heaven.

The sweet pecan, avocado salad is excellent, lemon ricotta pancakes are yummy, and the avocado toast is delicious. Service quick, our server, Adam, was helpful and efficient, all done with a smile!

My first experience here was in Destin...blown away. Was thrilled to see them in Bedford or Hurst or wherever that location was....awesome improvement from egg and I. So driving hungry on Preston was thrilled to pop in and get a first watch breakfast. A monumental mistake. You have an urge to come here based on other locations you’ve liked... keep driving big boy, cause this ain’t that place. I sat easily [then uneasily] for about 7-8 minutes without a visit from a waitress. I was just getting up to quietly leave when my waitress showed and seemed everything but happy to have me there. Seemed agitated when I told her I wanted extremely crispy bacon [to burn the grease off] and didn’t want my English muffin anything but cooked through. I’m alone....it’s a breakfast and I waited an unacceptable 20 plus minutes to get everything but my muffin, which came with my meal half eaten. At that point I got asked if I wanted water, which would have been nice to get when I sat down. I was at this place an hour, for a quick breakfast that did nothing but agitate me. What will make this worse, if this new version on this program will pester me with questions about the door size and access questions that are irrelevant to me. Man, this place isn’t anything but a place to draw a bad impression of this brand. It would seem management here has a role in how the kitchen runs, or how responsive waitresses are.

The staff, service and food were friendly, fast and delicious. We had the steel-cut oatmeal with fresh strawberries, pecans and brown sugar with a muffin and coffee. You cannot go wrong at this location.

Today was my third time visiting First Watch in the past two years. Being back in Dallas, I have reverted to La Madeleine as a mainstay, backed up by everyone's favorite Chick-fil-A. My prior visits were during the week and were networking-related. So much goes into my review of a restaurant. Food alone, it wouldn't justify going past Chick-fil-A, but it's not the nightmare insanity-laden setting of Dallas or Atlanta Sunday brunches. However, it's the service and the presentation, along with awesome brunch/breakfast cocktails that move First Watch well beyond "Meh." NOTE TO SELF: This is not a leisurely brunch place. The servers are constantly eyeing your table given the line to get in, along with the dozens of people who join the waitlist via text. Not a place to catch up with old friends from college over mimosas, bloody mary or their spiked lavender lemonade.

I will admit, it's hard to be a server at a great breakfast/brunch/lunch place on a beautiful Saturday, when the flow of guests is endless. But first the good news, I loved the French Toast with sliced fruit and warm maple syrup. It was delicious and a good price. But getting there was a chore. At first, our waiter was attentive and responsive. When we weren't quite ready to order, he asked if we needed another minute, we said "yes". And then 10 minutes later (it felt like), he re-appeared. We almost walked out. Then the food appeared after a reasonable amount of time, but one item was missing the toast, and it took at least another 5 minutes to get the toast delivered. And then we needed more coffee and that was slow on the delivery end. Not a disaster by any means, and the food quality mostly overcame most of these issues. With some more training, these too can be solved, even on a busy weekend day.

Great service & great food. This was my first time trying First Watch, I didn’t know what to expect. There were so many items on the menu that I wanted to try. If you love your fruits & veggies, you should definitely try the Kale Tonic. I had the nonalcoholic version, but it was simply delicious!

Just OK. One step better than Chili’s but not by much. Glass had lipstick on it, water jug left at the table had food stuck on the inside, table itself had large sticky area of jelly when we sat down, food was served before we had silverware(also dirty), napkins or syrup, three parties were seated ahead of us although we came in first (we were a party of three). We were there at 1:00 pm on a Saturday and waited 15 minutes despite many empty tables. First visit was slightly better than this one but not by much.

Have been there during lunch not too crowded but no one would come to take order and have to ask , food was ok and asked for hot sauce and it came when was almost done eating

I was very unhappy with the service. potatoes and the coffee were wonderful. problem was we had to ask for the potatoes that were left off order and every time we needed coffee we had to ask. it was crowded maybe that was why. did not care for the eggs will not return

We visited for a late breakfast today and were delighted. Nicky our server was happy and enthusiastic and a contrast to many of the grumpy servers we experienced in Texas in the last few weeks. She was helpful with the menu and accommodated our requests. We enjoyed the amazing Elote corn hash and a huge banana granola pancake that had just the right amount of crunch. The warm syrup was unexpected but added a twist to the pancakes. I would highly recommend First Watch Hurst and hope Nicky is rewarded for her exceptional customer service. Like Arnie said....”I’ll (we’ll) be back”.

Because of road work on nearby freeways, I had gotten diverted from the breakfast place I was intending to go to on a Sunday morning. So, I had driven another route, and suddenly found First Watch along the way in Preston Forest Shopping Center. Because of time in needing to get to church, I decided not to cut across the north side to get to my original breakfast destination, prompting me instead to stop at First Watch. Why not? I'd considered going to this still-new outpost for breakfast for years (they've got multiple locations), so today had become sometime. I stepped inside and was immediately greeted and then taken to my table (half-booth, half chair). Not bad. Sarah was my server for the morning and she did a marvelous job of acquainting me with First Watch (and for the uninitiated, it's not a jewelry store). She brought out a coffee pot which I used to keep filling my cup. Wonderful coffee, and better than the average stuff you get in many locales. I decided on the traditional breakfast (scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes w/onions, pork sausage links, artisan wheat toast). I also got some bacon as an extra on the side. Once everything was brought out, I found that they were all good choices. The toast had lots of butter slathered on top. Love that! The eggs came out with a great texture, sprinkled lightly with chopped parsley. Pork sausage was good, but it's a shame they didn't offer patties with similar ingredients (Chicken?? Seriously??) The potatoes, I thought, were the real highlight here, well-fried and diced, containing chopped sauteed onions. Together, those made a great flavor! Loved the bacon, as well, as it came crisp and had a nice, smoked flavor. Here's a warning if you've never been: You pay your check at the cash register. Just saying. All in all, a magniferous visit considering I had to have an alternate breakfast site at the last minute. First Watch will be brought into the rotation for Sundays in the future. It egg-ceeded my eggspectations!! Come check this place out if you're in Dallas, and ask for Sarah. That pot of coffee will be worth waiting for.

First Watch has an extensive breakfast/brunch menu. We have two kids and 4 adults. The kids meals were very good and fairly large. One was a pancake with chocolate chips and a sausage and the other was a large piece of French toast and bacon. The adults has some standard breakfast fares. The special dishes were million dollar bacon (OMG) and avocado toast topped with a scrambled egg. Good service. We did use their app to place our name in line. It is a busy place on the weekends so I suggest you get in line before you leave your house.

Enjoyed the food here. Not the cheapest option, but was tasty, portions were generous and the waitress was very gregarious. A varied menu with a good breadth of options. You could do a lot worse.

Love this place. Nice experience. I also ordered delivery several times and despite it was good, the food was not as presentable.

We've been to several of this chain's locations and most are very good. This one IS NOT. We tried it 3 or 4 times and every time have had food prep issues - cold bread instead of toast, etc. My latest was raw bacon in an omelet. Needless to say - I discovered it after several bites and wanted to puke. Our server was very apologetic and took it off the bill. I saw him talking to the manager who never came over to apologize - rather he just stood there and looked at us like we should just have eaten the dish and not complained. We will never ever go to any of their locations again.

Went there for the first time today. Met a couple of friends at 8:30am - no crowds or waiting. The place has a clean upscale farmhouse kind of interior. Tables are well spaced so it works well for meetings or just catching up with friends - not too noisy. The food is a clue of notches up from a typical breakfast joint. Prices reflect this. Menu includes most things you'd expect at an a.m. restaurant, but with elevated twists. My traditional eggs Benedict came with a little green salad, which was nice. Coffee was strong and hot and the waitress left the pot at the table. That's a plus. The meals were beautifully played and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. First Watch, I'll be back!

....this was a very good place for breakfast, it has a good selection of food & everything that we ordered was great. The service was good & our server was very attentive to us. The place is kind of small, but it's quaint & trendy. Overall it was a good experience & we would definitely go back

I stopped off here for a late morning breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Had a great meal and the service was great. Will definitely come again.

I just moved here from Round Rock/Austin and absolutely love first watch so decided to give this one a try. I ordered 3 Farmhouse hash and the potatoes were like bricks on everyone. Taste, taste, taste people. There’s no way the cook tasted these and then packed them to go. And if he did, you guys have an issue over there. The potatoes were severely undercooked, not a little bit but a lot. Spending $36 on these 3 meals alone and not being able to enjoy it, is ridiculous. I’m tempted to take back up there so they can see just how hard these potatoes are.. I guess this is no longer my go to spot in my new home. I’ll have to find another healthy alternative.

Went for lunch a while back and really enjoyed their turkey burger. I would order that again. So for lunch, my rating would be a 3 or 4 Unfortunately, for breakfast it would be a 1, as the food was not good at all, management seemed un interested in quality of the food, as he brought burned eggs to replaced burned eggs and was fine with it. In addition the gravy seemed to be a cheap mix rather than fresh made. The scrambled shown is suppose to be two eggs??? Prices and service on par with this style of dining.
Horrible experience
Have been many time to the Richardson location and thought we are in the are of Preston rd and would try this location. Never again, it was a restaurant out of control from service to food. And I am able to say this due to having a degree in restaurant and beverage management.
