Good!

By Inner Happiness |

The saganaki came out sizzling and full of flavor, and the rest of the dishes had that fresh, homemade feel. The lively atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable.

Great lunch!

This place is really not bad for a strip mall location. Yes, I’m used to fine dining, but in a pinch, it’s all about the flavor of food right??!! I ordered the Dolmares and a child’s Gyro plate and it did not disappoint. I don’t live close to this area and was just visiting. But if I did live nearby I would definitely return! Atmosphere is ok. Good Greek music playing. Decor is nice. Open seating.

Friendly and delicious

I grew up in an area with a lot of good Greek restaurants. This is also a good one. We were greeted at the door with great hospitality, just like the regulars they knew by sight! The flaming cheese show is good and so is the saganaki itself. Everything we had was authentic and well seasoned. All the servers hustled and were pleasant. I'd go back when in the area on another visit.

Great prices, quick and easy!

Of course we had the flaming cheese! Delicious. They do something yummy to the pita that I couldn't place but was almost cinnamon like taste! Decent for Mediterranean and was priced to our budget.

Pretty good

We went for dinner and got avgolemano, the vegetarian platter and the stuffed pepper. I enjoyed the Greek potato, the hummus, the fries, the dip, the spanakopita and everything else on the veg platter. The soup was also really good. I like my soup a LOT lemony, so it wasn’t my favourite as it wasn’t that lemony, but the flavours were good and my friend said she enjoyed it. I only wish the salad had been bigger in a bowl instead of flat in a plate. I was also thrown off by the stuffed pepper. I was expecting to see rice and mince inside and there was chicken and cheese instead. Still nice but not what I was craving. The area was cute, the staff were nice. Overall a nice experience.

Great food and service - Happy Hour find!

By blueskynm |

We pass by this place frequently for business nearby. I had seen their happy hour (Sun-Weds 2-6 pm) sign many times and finally stopped in. We only had a few appetizers but the hummus, dolmas (no meat version) and flaming cheese were wonderful. The Greek red wine complimented our appetizers perfectly. The service was quick and attentive. It is a very clean restaurant. For happy hour (1/2 price appetizers, wine and beer) it'd be hard to beat this place and I'm sure I'll be back for a full meal. Highly recommended!

Good food although not so good service

It was not the first time I visited this place. Food is really good and that's the only reason I keep going there. Unfortunately, waitresses look very disinterested and are completely distracted.

Great Greek Food

By Optimistic_Otto |

This is a small restaurant at the end of a strip mall. It has indoor table seating, a small bar and a patio for outside seating if you are so inclined. It is neat and clean and the servers are friendly and efficient. The food selection is very good and the quality is very, very good. I have enjoyed many Greek dishes over the years but have never had Saginaki. I decided this was the place to try it, after all it is called the "Flaming Cheese" Greek Restaurant. It was very good, as was the Avgolemono Soup, I also had the Moussaka and my wife enjoyed the Pastitsio. We finished up with the Baklava Cheesecake. Everything was delicious, and we were not a bit hungry when we left. It would take several visits to do their menu justice. SOOooo Goood !!! When in the military, I lived in Greece for several months and this is as good as anything I could get in Glyfada Square. Give it a try,you will be glad you did !

OK food ... but no common sense

By Raul B |

Ordered a Gyro and asked for an extra piece of bread in case I wanted to possibly divide it into 2 ...mentioned that to the server at the register. ($ .96 extra), no problem. Got home, the extra bread is cut in small triangles... waste of money. Who makes that decision? If someone wants the bread cut once they get home, they will have a knife and can cut it, but they will certainly not be able to piece the bread back together again. No common sense in their policy... they could at least ask WHOLE or CUT?

Good for a quick bite

I've eaten at Greek restaurants in the US al of my life and spent a week in Athens a few years back, sampling the local cuisine. Flaming Cheese Saganaki isn't the worst or the best that I've had, probably somewhere dead in the middle. Service is good, although for dinner only one other table was occupied - the take-out business seemed steady (still in COVID mode). The avgolemon soup for a starter was ok, not as hearty as I've found elsewhere. My friend's Olympic sampler platter was good also, with a variety of choices, although my Salonika plate (a single stuffed pepper with green beans) was also adequate at best. I'd probably go back to sample the gyros and give them another try.

Neighborhood Gem!

Wonderful small local Greek bistro. Do not miss the flaming cheese Saghanaki! Delicious Greek, authentic food. Oh the lamb!

Texas meets Greek!

By Renee Wood |

Wonderful warm and friendly restaurant playing great country music - only in Texas! I had the eggplant, potato and ground beef house special with a glass of red wine. It was perfect for a gray cold day.

Gyro delight

By Belcor |

After helping my son move into a new place, we looked for some options in the area. The name of this restaurant caught our attention. We all went in and settled on trying the gyros and fries. The gyros were well endowed and the fries delicately seasoned. We wanted to try the cheesecake that looks absolutely yummy, but were stuffed beyond belief. Definitely going to make this a regular stop when I head up to visit my son so I can try out the other menu items!

Great Saganaki!

By Chris M |

This was my first experience dining at this restaurant and I was very pleased. The Saganaki was probably the best I have had in Dallas. We also had the Gyro salad and the meat was very flavorful and not dried out or greasy. Baklava was dessert and it was very good but a little hard to cut without a knife.

Remembered it as better.

Had eaten here in the past. Had a way better meal last time. The staff didn’t seem to want us there, we were a group of 9. Food was just okay. Greek salad was lacking. I didn’t even have a single tomato. Everyone was just disappointed.

Love that Saganaki!!

By winnie c |

I was over in Greece this past summer and feel in love with the "flaming cheese". So I went on a hunt for some here in Dallas. This is a quaint, small, informal restaurant that has been newly opened. I hope they make it as the saganaki is delecious!! It is an appetizer and we had spinach pie for the main course. Good service, good food, good pricing.

Decent. ... would like to rate 3 1/2 stars

Falafel tasted good but was “broken” and fell apart. Lemon soup was good. Greek potatoes a bit large and greasy. Fries were good. The only truly bad item was the tzatziki - very little flavor and not much on the gyros. We sat outside and that was nice. Waiter was nice but seemed to have too much to do as he was only staff in sight.

Great greek for a sit down meal

By Ttocserpmada |

I'm always greeted at the door by the manager or owner. Really friendly customer service. As a solo diner I didn't get the chance to try a variety of choices. The hummus and pita appetizer were good. I had the Gyro platter with wedge potatoes. Its a simple meal but tastes great and fits into my diet needs. The room itself is quaint but friendly. There were several sizeable groups dining there. Servers didn't miss a beat. its a really good option versus fast food or a chain restaurant. Try it, you wont be disappointed.

Best Kept Secret!

By Michelle B |

Best Greek food in the area! The lamb skewers, baked chicken, lemon potatoes, lemon soup, and flaming saganaki are delish. Must try.

Quick, easy and good enough!

The cheese of course is something to try, it's tasty! Food otherwise is good and great for a quick lunch before we drove back to Denver!

Lunch, just like in the Greek Isles

By David B |

If you've been to Greece you'll enjoy this place. And, if you haven't you'll soon realize that Greek cuisine is more than gyros and baklava! Definitely get the flaming cheese and splurge for the baklava cheesecake. Opa!

Ver enjoyable

This is a cute and relaxing place to enjoy a meal. Potions are enough to fill you up and have a snack (in some cases a whole other meal) for later. Definitely get the Flaming Cheese. It fun and yummy too. All around a great find. Wonderful service and food.

Another late lunch

Food and service excellent! Definitely recommend. Another new discovery for us. I seem to be getting addicted to good Greek food!

Late night dinner

We were in Dallas for a family member that was in a hospital. We got here about 20 minutes before closing. They were welcoming and did not rush us thru our meal. The food was good, some of it, very good.

Flaming Cheese rules.

By Stephanie L |

Greek food is so much fun and so much more than just gyros. So, you can bring your own wine or get a great drink from their bar. For appetizers, try Spanakopita, which is spinach and cheese baked in lovely, flaky phyllo. And try the Dolmades, which are grape leaves stuffed with beef and rice. And please order the Flaming Cheese Saganaki...it really is Flaming. Of course, don't forget the Calamari. For dinner they offer traditional Greek dishes like gyros and chicken gyros, but they also offer shrimp kabobs and grilled chicken salads. Great atmosphere, great service, great time.

Flaming YES

By Barry W |

Went to the Flaming Cheese Saganaki Greek restaurant for the first, but not last time. The Saganaki was great. The classic gyro platter was great. Loved the tahini sauce. The shrimp skewers were 20 shrimp. The beefteki was 2 large meatballs stuffed with cheese. And the dessert I could not pronounce was a custard wrapped in philo pastry, baked, and then drizzled with sweet syrup.
