Outstanding!

By 2texanstraveling |

We have not been to Fleming's in years and after last nights wonderful meal we will most certainly go back again and soon!! Free Valet Parking. We did not have a reservation but was immediately seated in a booth which was our preference. Service was wonderful..we never had to ask for ANYTHING! Food came out in a timely manner and was hot and fresh. I got the Pre Fixe special which was a small filet with a tasty sauce and two HUGE crab stuffed shrimp. They were really about the size of a small lobster! It was our anniversary so they sent us home with a lovely card and a box of truffles. They even went and got our car while we were paying so it was ready and waiting and already cool ( a plus in Texas). Everything is a la carte and a bit on the expensive side but it was worth every penny!! Husband got a steak and the Fleming's potatoes which were awesome.

Great service

Food was what you expect at a Flemings so no surprise here. Service was really good on this night. Can't remember names but very attentive staff and stayed on top of things. I didn't have to ask for anything.

Mediocre to say the least

By DBDINC1234 |

We went as a group of 5 to celebrate friend's birthday. Our friend ordered salmon and when it came out, it was overly crusted and very hard. She returned it, while the rest of us ate our steaks which I will get to I n a moment. Usually,,fish takes about six to seven minutes to cook, but we waited at least 15, which made our friend say that she might as well forgo her meal, since the rest of us were almost finished before her salmon came back. On top of that, my friend's salmon was not offered as a comped meal at that point, but as a gift card worth less than the price of the fish - quite "tacky" Now to my prime rib, which was at least 60 percent fat and gristle. While I realize a prime rib is comprised of fat and gristle as well as a center portion of meat, for the price paid, I would have hoped for more meat. At the end, I gave the waitperson a gift card and my bank card and then had to wait about 15 minutes for my bill to be processed. The wait person said there were computer problems, however, my companion's bank card took no time at all. All in all, a mediocre evening was had by all. Had the nearby Ruth's Chris not been undergoing renovations, we definitely would have been at that establishment, where the service and food are superior.

Over rated

Food is not very good. The service is amazing. The place is too dark so I can completely see my meal. The place is kept too cold. And the place is way overpriced for their food.

Love this place

By lalalala41 |

Haven't been here in awhile . You guys still got it !!! Service was excellent. Corrine W . Served me in the bar area . I had the homemade potato chips which I love & can't get enough of !! They only serve these bad boys during hh in the bar area . I had a mini filet medium well & mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to perfection & the potatoes melted in my mouth . The atmosphere is awesome . Not stuffy @ all . I was dressed very casually (gym clothes) & Corrine treated me with the upmost respect . I'll most definitely will be back

Great place for a special night!

By kidcardio |

Flemings is on our top five list of places for special occasions. We recently took the whole family to celebrate two birthdays. They have recently changed the menu. We got our usual calamari, which was predictably tasty, and tried the pork butt - not my favorite, but still quite tasty. I had the great good luck of ordering the Tempura lobster, which is new on the menu. OMG. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. I spent the rest of the meal savoring every bite while trying to figure out how I could have it for dinner every day. I don't even remember the rest of the meal....

Date night place but maybe not worth the price

By estefania a |

The interior is reminiscent of a pf changs. Nothing fancy! However they do offer black napkins, which I thought was a nice touch. The service was excellent at the beginning, as dinner progressed, our waitress disappeared. The steaks we ordered were not properly cooked, had to send them back. When they came back they were much better. Now the drinks, let me tell you, are delicious!! They have an awesome bartender. Overall it was nice but nothing out of this world.

Excellent Happy Hour!!

By MaryBrentMarks |

Happy Hour runs from 5 to 7 PM -- but go early and wait -- the bar is soo small it fills up quickly. Drinks are only $6 (limited offerings) and appetizers too are inexpensive and well done. My favorite is the calamari topped with spicy peppers -- coupled with a very good $6 martini it's delightful. Service is also top notch!!

Skip the chain place

By LanceLew22 |

Ribeye I ordered was merely so so. It was cooked well but the meat was grainy, and I have a hard time believing it was prime. The prices for a glass of wine were ridiculous. Absolutely nothing special about the experience. For a great night out at a great steak house, skip this place and visit local establishments Bohanan's or Myron's.

Good Service - Dirty Dishes, fly included

By Bertha_SAT |

We were looking forward to a night out with friends. Given the claims that Flemings is one of the best steak houses in the country, our expectations were high. Before I say the ugly, I would like to say the good. The service was good, prompt and friendly, the appetizers and the dessert were superb. My water glass came with a dead fly at the bottom, the decanter where they attempted to pour the bottle of wine we purchased was dusty and dirty. We asked them to use a different one, and our steaks, which they claim to cook to perfection, came back way underdone. We sent them back and since they put butter on them, they came back dried and almost fried. I personally wouldn't go back to this restaurant, but this review is here for the benefit of management. If they claim to be one of the best in the country, and their pricing tells me that they think they are, then they should make sure their quality control is on top of the game so these problems don't ever happen again.

$29.95 Prime Rib Dinner

By John D |

Monday evening at Flemings was excellent. Went for the Prime Rib dinner and it did not disappoint. Started with Happy Hour at the bar then transitioned to the dining room. Wine in the bar was pricey but we were here for the prime rib. Jordan was our server in the Dining Room. She was attentive, knowledgable, informative and professional. Her service was exemplary. The Prime Rib dinner was wonderful and an excellent value for an eatery like Flemings.

Try the off-menu specials

By wgcash |

I know, I know. It's a steak house. And pretty darn great steaks, at that. Bit on our most recent visit I walked on the wild side and ordered fish. Yup. Succulent grilled red fish topped with lump crabmeat and bearnaise sauce. It was crispy and tendered and showered with just the right amount of sauce. Served on a bed of wilted spinach, accented with sautéed red onion. Good meal and a reasonable price.

Peaceful Sunday evening dinner

By SAM |

My wife and I enjoyed a peaceful Sunday evening dinner at Fleming's Steakhouse. The service and quality of food were exceptional. We both enjoyed the tenderloin. It was disappointing that they didn't have carrot cake that evening, but the chocolate mousse was a good substitute, and they baked it perfectly. The Manhattan was among the smoothest I've had. We are looking forward to a return visit!

This is a consistently good steakhouse chain

By DougGleaner |

Very dependable offerings and service at this national chain restaurant. Nice place for a business meeting with all the normal steakhouse fare. Liked the seafood tower. Decent variety on the wine list.

Great Happy Hour

By 4gentexn |

My wife and I stopped by for happy hour last Friday. Fleming's has a very good happy hour menu at reasonable prices. The burger is delicious, the calamari was wonderful, but the shrimp were tough. Our server was friendly and efficient. We were seated on the patio which was pleasant.

Delightful

By 78209Hungry_Dad |

Splendid evening at Fleming’s Steakhouse in San Antonio. Enjoyed 20 ounce rib-eye steak, perfectly prepared, as were sautéed mushrooms, steamed asparagus, and whiskey. Server Mark S was courteous, professional, helpful, and unobtrusive. Let him upsell me a larger steak. Why not? When notified that my wife’s filet had arrived rare, not medium, staff jumped to fix. Later, managers David and Daniel each came by to apologize and check that the problem had been resolved to my satisfaction. After dinner, watched Spurs rally to defeat Pelicans on TV in the bar, then drove home and let my hounds gnaw the bone. Great night.

Great steaks and nice place

By FernandoMexico8 |

Went to Fleming's for a business dinner and enjoyed a fine steak. NY Strip was a bit fatty, but quite good. In my opinion no need for the butter on top of the steak, and fat trimming should be more precise. Over all a good steak. Chocolate pecan pie is great.

Good Food, Service & Ambience, but it will cost you.

By SanAntonioGal |

The Fleming's in San Antonio is located the the Quarry Shopping Mall by the Multiplex Movie Theater. Not an auspicious start, but walk inside and it's a different world. Beautifully appointed with a friendly and professional staff. The dining room was graciously decorated and all but the largest tables had some degree of privacy. The wine list is daunting and finding a bottle under $40 is a real challenge. The menu is complete with a variety of steaks, chicken and fish. We opted for the grilled salmon and it was delicious. All sides are alacarte. My shoe string potatoes were 7.95 and an order of sauteed mushrooms was 9.50. Choose carefully is you are not on an expense account. These items add up quick. The service was impeccable, although we did have to remind the waiter to have our water glasses filled. Small inconvenience.

Five star experience

By TravelSmartAndOften |

Great atmosphere, service, wine, and food... with appropriate higher price. Beautiful and dark interior. Server (Ruben) had great suggestions and conversation. Walking manager checked on us and prepared our doggie bag. We split the bone-in ribeye... great flavor... rugged and meaty cut... with sautéed mushrooms. Two first courses, the wedge salad with a large bleu square and the house pulled burrata which came in a glass crock with bread, arugula, and poached (?) cherry tomatoes. Wine delicious and nice wine selection. Had the Simi Cab by the glass (6oz, 9oz, or bottle). Server suggested a Cartagena after dinner, espresso shot mixed with a flamed Grand Marnier... the flames heated the brandy snifter and made the remaining vapors tease the nose. Unique and our first. Pricey but worth it. About $90/person. Suggest making a reservation, especially in the evening; easily done on several apps.

Fleming's - San Antonio

By STEVEN D |

Fleming's is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. And, going on a Tuesday evening is the best time as it's not very crowded and getting a table without a reservation is easy. My wife tried their New Wedge Salad which came with generous portions of Gorgonzola cheese. I had their Fleming' Salad with house dressing; it contained fresh sliced grapes and candied pecans. We then shared a 12 ounce Filet Mignon and baked potato with sour cream which provided more than enough food for two people. Our meal total came to $53 per person which included drinks, tax and tip.

Wonderful Experience

By 1stepup |

The food and service was excellent !!! Ordered the Filet and Lobster which was cooked to perfection . Mushrooms , Potatoes and Key lime pie was excellent . Definitely will return !!! Thank-you Daniel P. you were wonderful in accommodating my family .

Consistently Excellent

From the time you enter, you are made to feel special. As you are seated you feel that you could always live in this type of style. Everything on their menu is outstanding and their service is unmatched by any other restaurant.

35 minute wait

By Abigail B |

I had not been to Flemings in several years, but remembered it as having good food and service, if not pricey. I had made a reservation for 2 for Saturday evening at 7:15. We arrived on time and were told that there would be a wait. When I asked the host why, I was told that the party at our table had not left. I asked why again and the host gave me some story about a mathematical equation they use for reservations. We, of course, went to the bar, which I'm sure is a ruse to get folks to spend more $$. 35 minutes later, our table was ready. When we were taken to our table, we passed a perfectly good booth only to be seated at a table next to the kitchen and under an AC vent (it was a cold night). Our server did tell us we could move to the booth and the rest of the evening was without any issues. I am a senior and have felt lately that seniors don't matter when it comes to service. This seemed to me to be one of those times. I feel that if you go to the trouble to make a reservation, you should be seated ASAP, if you are on time. Please don't discount seniors. Often, they are the ones with $$.

AWSOME

By Carl H |

Best most consistent steak house in San Antonio. Must have a lava cake as well. Have been to all of the other high end steak house and we always end up coming back to Flemings.

Thanksgiving Meal experience.

By Texmarc |

Went for lunch on Thanksgiving with family. We had reservations and were promptly seated and greeted by our server who took our drink order and appetizer selection. Our meal selection included 2 from the Thanksgiving menu, lobster bisque, traditional turkey and stuffing served with cranberry compote and sides of mashed potatoes and green beans and a bone in Riley with same sides. It also included a dessert selection. The other member was a meat and potato eater and ordered the aged ribeye and baked potato. The lobster bisque was very good. So far, so good. When the food arrived, both steaks ordered medium rare, were very rare. One was sent back for more cooking. The other ( aged ribeye) was very fatty with no discernable tail. The biggest let down was the lack of seasoning on the steaks and vegetables. Overall, the wait staff was adequate, although not up to past fine dining experiences. Being a holiday, and being from out of town, it was a hit or miss situation, but with so many other fine dining selections ( Bob's last year, and Morton's before), I doubt we will be back.

Great restaurant

By Ronald B |

I had the filet. It was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful taste. Their wedge salad was wonderful. I had the flemings potatos. Liked them but I would get the loaded baked potato next time. The service was excellent.

Top notch all the way!

By usindo |

Went for a business lunch meeting and ordered a medium filet mignon, green beans and mashed potatoes. The meat was superbly cooked, the fork could nearly cut the steak! The green beans were blanched and crunchy, delicious and most flavorful. The mashed potatoes were just like Momma used to make them. I wound up ordering a cheesecake for dessert that was tops, just like the rest of the meal. So do I plan to return- you bet! My top endorsement to Fleming's.

Unbelievable Service

By Penny J |

The blue cheese martini was amazing!! We had an amazing waiter and he made sure everything was perfect for us. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and they made sure it was a night to remember.

Wonderful food but the server was a little uneasy

By awarrick |

The lobster tempura is a must try. Very nice. The food was very well prepared but the server was a little uneasy.

Highly recommend

By Imyourhuckleberry |

Flemings never fails to deliver. Been numerous times and the food, wine, service and dining room are outstanding. This is one of our "go-to" restaurants for special occasions, out of town guests or simply a nice evening out. You can't go wrong here.

WONDERFUL SCOTCH WHISKEY PAIRING DINNER

By Daryl H |

Our couples group had an outstanding experience at Flemings delicious and informative scotch / whiskey pairing dinner. This was a five-course special event that begin with fabulous appetizers, and a five course dinner pairing, with innovative cocktails made with some of the finest scotch and whiskey in the world today. Very knowledgeable staff narrated the various courses with interesting information about each course and its pairing. We have been to Flemings many times and ordered from the regular menu which is excellent. This event, however, was a standout opportunity to enjoy a unique dinner experience with knowledgeable servers and mixologists. These five course pairing dinners are offered at various times throughout the year, and I would highly recommend you take advantage of the opportunity to attend. Lots of convenient complimentary valet parking at this very popular San Antonio location of the national steakhouse chain. Highly recommended!

Always a wonderful experience!

By Tina S |

Had the pleasure of dining here with friends for New Years Eve. While they were booked all night long, the service and food couldn't have been more wonderful. We come to Flemings as often as possible, whether for their awesome happy hour or celebration dinners, and have ever had anything but the best experience! Highly recommended! Thank you to the wonderful staff and management at Flemings for consistently providing dining perfection!

Flemmings Wine dinner

By landman55 |

We attended another wonderful Flemmings wine dinner last night featuring the Chefs unique creations and Kelly Flemmings "killer" Napa wines. The 2013 Cabernet was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to tour the winery in a few months.

Really Really Good Steak

By Marc L |

I bring my team hear every year and the love it. Yep it's on the high side and they spend two days of expense allowance on it but all saw its worth it. From appetizer to entree to desert it's great. Other fare there is fine but just get a streak. It's way they do BEST. The sides are enough for two so each of you get a different one and share.

Lovely place with a nice atmosphere

By Karen G |

This is a very classy restaurant. We had steaks here last night with my in-laws and they loved it too. Be sure to dress up to enjoy the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want an upscale dining experience.

Food seem to be getting worse while the price keeps increasing -- but good ambiance

By Wel_reisde_kerel |

We go mainly for the wedge salad and crab cakes, and prefer to sit in a booth in the bar area. We two have been coming here for several years, but less and less frequently due to the title problem. The last visit will definitely lengthen the time before we'll be back. The crab cakes were smaller and not as tasty as in the past, but cost more. The service, as aways, was fast, efficient and friendly. Be sure and grab a handful of their mint-choclates in a gold foil wrapper on the way out.

Great Food and Service, Able to hold conversations at the table.

By Robert G |

We had reservations and arrived at 7pm and were seated as soon as we arrived. We told the waiter that we planned on having a couple of drinks and ordered a bottle of wine opened to have with dinner. The staff did not rush us at all. They gave us plenty of time and checked back often but did not disturb our conversations. We each had different entry selections and shared several sides and we really enjoyed the meal and service. We finished at 10pm and I think we were the last out of the restaurant but it was no problem at all.

Fleming's Happy Hour

By AprilNT |

We ventured over to Flemings when shopping in the Quarry on a Saturday afternoon. No reservation - just popped in and had drinks and apps at the bar. The burger was scrumptious - perfect for early dinner. Wait staff and bartender were very attentive and nice. Great visit!

Wonderful place to spend your anniversary

By donv83 |

My wife and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary at Fleming's this year. We were received and treated very special by all including the Mark. Our server was on top of his game and ensured everything was just right. we also like the extra touches such as a Happy Anniversary card on our table. We had a magical and wonderful night. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Good, not great

By frojjy |

We went for a nice early dinner on our vacation. We ordered the dry aged rib eye medium rare. It was most decidedly medium. What a shame to overcook a nice piece of meat. The waiter offered to replace it when I pointed it out but we declined as we were dining with our two small children and we didn't want to prolong the meal any longer than we had to. They had a kid's menu and our kids seemed to enjoy the chicken strips and the apple slices with caramel dip. I had previously read that this was not a family-friendly restaurant. I think that any restaurant with a kid's menu and wifi is family friendly. What else could you want? Service was attentive but aloof. But I came there to eat, not make friends so we were ok with that. Overall it was a good meal despite the meat being overcooked, it just didn't do anything to distinguish itself from other high end steak houses, in my opinion. This is a competitive market in Texas and we take our steaks seriously. For the money paid, there are better steak houses out there. We weren't disappointed but we probably wouldn't return.

Steak to die for

By MalcolmM1947 |

This out of town restaurant was pretty much full on a Wednesday night and I can see why it is so popular. The bar man produced a perfect Hendricks Gin and tonic with bottled tonic (not from a bar gun) ice and cucumber. The fillet steak was the most tender that I've had with plenty of flavour. Side dishes of garlic mushrooms and french beans were just right and all complimented by a very nice Malbec from Mendoza. It will be on my favourite list for some time.

Great Restaurant But They Can't Comtrol Loud

By Hahncho |

I was very impressed with everything. My steak was perfect, the wine excellent and the service immaculate. I'm downgrading the atmosphere only because the noise caused us to almost shout to have a normal conversation. It's not the fault of the restaurant but rather the rudeness of the customers who have to speak so loudly in a pleasant environment. I will return but next time ask if there might be a quiet corner. I realize this is a very difficult problem for management and in no way intend for this to detract from their otherwise outstanding restaurant.

Bravo!

By ACT TRAVEL CONSULTANTS |

celebrated a birthday and the service was superb. they accidently put meat on my wedge salad and quickly replaced the salad. We were the last customers in the restaurant and the valet had my car ready out front when I exited! We never felt rushed!

I’m from NYC. Not sure what

By Magdalena18 |

I’m from NYC. Not sure what that means to you, but I know great food and I don’t mind spending $150 pp for a great dinner. However, this place is overpriced, overrated and I would never, ever come back. Go next door: Piatti. Save your money.

Fleming's

By Kathy R |

The food was amazing but the price was a bit much! (everything is a la carte) I liked the fact that they had "small plates" which are smaller portions and prices, but not everything was offered on the small plate menu. we went on a Monday and the place was not crowed at all. My husband ordered the lettuce wedge and he really like it, We shared an order of asparagus and it was plenty for both of us. he steak was cooked to perfection. I would definably go there again but I would reserve it for a very special occasion.

Great Offer...Better Food

By pccmikemd2 |

Four of us went out the other evening and took advantage of Fleming's Prime Rib Special for $39.95 per couple. This is a great price for a wonderful evening of dining but, the best was the food and just how great everything was. We'll be going back time and again.

Excellent service

By David H |

Visited this following a recommendation from a work friend. Fabulous food and service. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The steak was absolutely superb. While experience was very satisfying

Date Night Spot!

By Barbara D |

This is definitely a special occasion place but they also have a daily Happy Hour (4-7 & 8-10) that is great. Very good food & excellent service!

Prime Rib Special

By Deb B |

On occasion Flemings does prime rib with choice of salad, side and dessert for $29.95 which is one heck of a deal! We ordered our meat medium rare, and it came out perfectly done. I had the Flemings salad which was so fresh and tasty, and we ordered the grilled asparagus and the Fleming's potatoes as sides. Potatoes were wonderful, but the asparagus was tasteless and tough so we won't order that again. Desserts of carrot cake and turtle pie were the perfect end to the meal. Our server Jordan was friendly and attentive. I also love that Flemings gives you a choice of a white or black napkin; no more white lint on dark pants.

Atmosphere & Service Good, beef, not so

By Bud L |

We have been dining here 2 or 3 times a year for the past few years and, early on, it compared very favorably with the best steak houses in town and we still really like the decor, atmosphere and service but the quality of the beef is not what it used to be. We dined there this evening and were a little disappointed. My wife had the large filet and I had the prime ribeye. Both were served medium rare as requested but neither was as tender or flavorful as we thought they should have been. To be blunt, I have had a more tender and flavorful chunk of beef when I ordered the sirloin at "Texas Road House". I also think I detected a slight "refrigerator" taste in my cheesecake. Sorry Mr. Fleming but I think we'll rely on "Myron's" for steak. Love those Flemings potatoes though.

Now Serving Small Plates.

By botanicalsa |

Went for our anniversary last night, May 25. We had gone early, expecting to sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail or two before our reservation, but it was overcrowded with no place to sit. So they kindly accommodated us and took us to our table, where we sat and enjoyed the beginnings of a wonderful evening. We appreciate Flemings now offering small plates on their menu! We ordered from that section of the menu and ordered two sides, which are big enough to share. We just can't eat those large servings such as a 16 oz steak or larger, plus their salad and side on most restaurant menu's. The San Antonio Flemings excelled in their service/food last night. Our waiter Micah, although busy, made us feel appreciated. We noticed he gave attentive service to all those he waited on throughout the evening. The manager David, stopped by to wish us a Happy Anniversary. He stayed and chatted with us for a few minutes, too. He excuses himself, and returns with coffee to refill our cups. With personal attention and great treatment like that, how can we not return? Again, wonderful service, attention, and appreciation from everyone at Flemings during our visit.

Not Impressed for the Price

By Susan M |

We live in the neighborhood and usually go to the other high end restaurants but decided to give Fleming's a try. If you are claiming to be a white tablecloth fine dining restaurant then you need to be good in every single aspect. The service at Fleming's was bad. We never had our water glasses refilled and we had to flag our waiter down for every little thing. The food was delicious but like I said, if you're paying that kind of money that the whole experience has to be worth it. Another insulting thing is that the invoice encourages you what to tip and nothing is below 18%. I know how to tip and we left this guy less than 15%. It's a rude supposition to tell people what they should tip. We will not go back to Fleming's.

Great filet mignon. Cooked to perfection. We also had the appetizers in the picture. Mac and cheese, spinach, Fleming's potatoes and wine. Good time and good food

Excellent Evening But Disappointing Prime Rib

By RhondaHTrip |

This steakhouse has such a great reputation I splurged when they had a special 3 course dinner for $29. The entire staff from the hostesses to the wait staff team was completely welcoming an accommodating. They were gracious when I asked for seating other than what they had selected for me, and the offer of a black napkin was a new experience! Tiffany, my waitress, was warm and knowledgeable. The hot parmesan crusted bread came with two lovely butters (brie and smoked cheddar), the house salad was crisp and lightly dressed with a delicate lemon vinaigrette. I was very happy with my glass of Chianti, which suited my mood and meal. I chose the Flemings Potatoes as my side dish, and they were absolutely delicious - light touch of jalapeno and loaded with cheddar cheese. The only disappointment was my prime rib. Although cooked perfectly, it had neither a beef flavor nor the roasted herb seasonings you would expect on this cut. None of the three sauces served with it were memorable. I did not finish eating it, and asked the friendly buy unconcerned manager that both he and the chef cut a piece to try so he could see how far off the mark it was. I had expected something delectable, and what I got was far below what competing steakhouses have served me! The carrot cake was wonderfully moist and served with a dollop of whipped cream instead of globs of icing. The dim, up-scale and quiet atmosphere makes this a perfect date night restaurant, if pricey. Just don't order the prime rib!

It was ALL good

By Bud L |

We have eaten here several times in the past. Usually good but sometimes a little disappointing. We haven't been in a while but decided to take advantage of a prime rib dinner special they had going tonight. EXCELLENT! I am usually wary of specially priced meals because I think you will either get a smaller portion or they are trying to unload something. They served a thick slab of very tender, flavorful prime rib that was prepared exactly like we asked. (Medium rare for me and rare to medium rare for my wife) Mine was perfect and hers was slightly rarer just like she likes it. Not much remarkable about the lettuce wedge but the Flemings salad was interesting with the walnuts and cranberries tossed in. Our sides were grilled asparagus (just slightly on the soft side of crisp) and Flemings potatoes (kind of a cross between twice baked and au gratin) each was excellent and enough to share. The chocolate lava cake is a must do for a chocoholic but if that is your plan let them know when you order your entrée cause it takes about 20 min. to prepare. The décor has kind of a "board room" feel to it without seeming stuffy. Whether you are in Dockers or a suit you won't feel out of place. Our server, Jordan was very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back.

Special night

By whitecd2000 |

A couple friends and I took my wife out for her 9th anniversary of being cancer free to Fleming's. We arrived early, but were able to sit in the foyer and visit. The staff brought us into the dining room ahead of our reservation time and the magic began. We were greeted by a very warm wait staff and were handed a wine list that was on an I-Pad-what fun. We all ordered hor'derves (sp) of French onion soup-which was prepared to perfection. Next the main courses came and each steak was perfect. My prime rib nearly melted in my mouth as I chewed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming; and, although a bit noisy, we were able to carry on a conversation at our table without raising our voices. The night was wrapped up with a volcano cake and a pecan turtle pie; each was terrific. The overall cost surprised me-it was less than what I expected. My wife received a gift and a $25 coupon because of this being a special night, (Please note, the staff only knew that we were celebrating her and knew nothing else).

Almost Perfect!

By Barbara W |

Everyone who writes reviews of Fleming's will tell you about the wonderful food, wine, etc. But - will they tell you about the service?! From the moment I called for reservations and spoke to Hilda with a special request for a more isolated table, to the gracious service from Stephen (our waiter) it was an almost perfect experience. Why "almost"? We ordered the lobster tails which came steamed and not broiled. You have to request "broiled". My Pinot Grigio was "plonk"! Definitely tasted like the wine they use for cooking! So, I switched to a vodka/tonic. Stephen had no control over either of these situations, and seamlessly remedied both!

First Class Food & Service

By ShawnFranke |

The food was superb ! Our server, Nick, was very knowledgable about the food and wines to match ... thank you. Even the manager introduced himself, cleared our table and even took our after dinner drink order. Fantastic time. Ambience was very classy. Little pricey, but worth every penny!!

Flemings in San Antonio

By STEVEN D |

Friday night dining is at its best at Flemings. They have excellent food with attentive service. Their petite filet and garlic mashed potatoes is a must have. Both dishes were prepared to my specifications. My wife had pan crusted pork belly with polenta. She found it to be the best pork dish she has tasted in San Antonio. They offered a seasonal dessert of almond cake with chocolate and whip cream, a nice after dinner treat. Our meal total came to $50 per person which is reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber.

Favorite in San Antonio

By LHR1980 |

I've been a long time fan of Flemings. We returned on Friday evening and had another great experience. The service is excellent without being overbearing. The steak is on par with the other top steakhouses in San Antonio and the wine list is the best. They also have a fantastic happy hour.

Birthday party

By Starchunter12 |

Steaks were wonderful wine bar was excellent and service was great. They did a lot of marketing for their specials on Mondays Wednesdays and Sundays. They are a part of the Dine Rewards Club so it's a must visit if you're in San Antonio. The next time I visit I will receive $40 off of my check!

Only go if you like steak

By Heather M |

I went with a large group there for dinner. Most everyone ordered steak. I ordered the double chicken breast dinner because I do not really enjoy steak. My dinner was about $30 and did not include anything but the chicken. The chicken was good but not $30 good. All entrees come a la carte. I also ordered the onion soup which was very good, but around $10. And the bread was delicious! Most everyone in our party enjoyed their steaks. So, only go to Fleming's if you like steak!

Expect the unexpected

By tampico1 |

Started with an outstanding onion soup. Followed by a perfectly broiled tomahawk. Side dish? Delicious onion rings and asparagus with garlic. Service outstanding. Do not miss it, when you visit San Antonio. Grateful for the San Antonio forum for its recommendation. Gracias, gracias, gracias.

One of the Best

By ada d |

We have been going to this restaurant for years now, but have found it unfortunate that they do fry their onions and everything fried in the same pan where they do their seafood. As being allergic to fish we have to be careful, if we had not asked, we would have not known that their food can be cross contaminated by frying different things in the same cooking oil. People should be aware of this because they do not mention it, so if someone doesn't ask and thinks that by ordering something that is not fish, they will be safe, think again. Kitchen staff should know better than to mix fish with meat or chicken fry pans or oils or even on the grill. Other than this major oversight which can have someone become violently ill, their for is always good.

Make Your Sunday Special

By rtmidland |

We were invited to celebrate a birthday at Fleming's. It was a great experience. We made a reservation and went early to avoid a crowd. We got a great seat in a booth, which had plenty of room for the 4 of us. We had a fabulous waiter who was very knowledgeable and who offered suggestions about the wine and the food. He took our drink order and suggested a local winery for a similar wine to the one I ordered. It was a great suggestion. They have an extensive wine list. He advised us that the side dishes are generally enough for 2-4 people so be sure to remember that when you order. He said they are served "family" style in the middle of the table so you can share. Three of us had the "Prime Rib Sunday Special". One had boneless ribeye. The special was $37.95 and included one of three salads, any one of many sides, any choice of their numerous desserts and a huge piece of Prime Rib. It was cooked to perfection. I ordered medium rare and it was exactly as it should be. We were able to order and share several of both the sides and desserts. Their Fleming potatoes are notorious and very good. The green beans were flavored well and cooked with mushrooms, also very good. The asparagus was good, though nothing special. We also had three desserts, the Creme Boule, Molten Chocolate Cake, and Cheesecake, all delicious! Overall it was a great experience. It is expensive. Expect to pay a premium, however, the food and service were fabulous and well worth the money. The manager came over before our meal arrived, thanks us for our reservation and for coming. I would highly recommend Fleming's if you are looking for a special place to go for dinner and you love steak. They had other things on the menu (see their website), but we all wanted beef! They also gave our friend 4 little chocolate balls to take home with her since it was her birthday. (There was no crazy birthday hoopla that we appreciated). The atmosphere was pleasant. Although it was not just totally a quiet little place, we were able to hear and have conversation. Even if you just wanted to go here for dessert, it would be a great choice. They also have free valet parking. Fleming's is in the Quarry Market.

Most people do not come to Texas for the vegetables

By Donald R |

Other than wagyu steak, a bone in rib-eye is my favorite cut. Fleming offers a 16oz plate which does shrink in the cooking process, so it was not an overwhelming size at the table. It was delicious, no doubt about it, as one would expect from a credible steakhouse. I would normally have just the steak and a Cesar salad but one of my colleagues ordered a number of additional side dishes, and I had to try the crab cakes and the calamari. I could have made a pleasant meal with just these two side dishes, they were excellent!

Best steaks in San Antonio

By rezzie2 |

I have been to this restaurant with a friend for the Steak and Lobster special and also with a group of ten people where we ordered almost every side dish on the menu. Both were special meals with great service and amazing food. I am really picky about my steaks. These are the best in San Antonio.

Business dinner ( sort of )

By Sylvia V |

We had a group of 22 from my husbands work meet here for dinner on Friday the 22nd. Ms Cortes from Flemings set up a private room and we were able to talk to each other. Dinner was very good. Both my husband and I had the Filet Migon and it was perfectly cooked to our specifications. We had two servers and they were very efficient for the 22 of us. The young lady server even sang two beautiful songs for us. Would recommend especially for large groups!!

AS ALWAYS, FLEMINGS KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK!!!!!

By RICK |

This was probably one of the most elegant and rewarding experiences of both myself and my wife’s life. The hit of the evening was Eloi, our server, who not only met our each and every need, but actually made us feel like family. He is an asset and a credit to your team. We can hardly wait to go back!!!!!! KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE BALL PARK!!!!

Wonderful

By Thomas B |

Took my wife here for supper last night. We had a wonderful meal. We each had the Steak and Lobster special. As usual the service was impeccable our waiter was Travis and he did a wonderful job of keeping our wine glasses full. Daniel the manager on duty came by and chatted with us. It was just a wonderful evening.

An Impressive First Visit

By bobemac |

We stopped by on a Friday evening. They are one of the few places in the Quarry Market we had not visited. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who took our name. Our server was a skillful fellow named Andreas. He's clearly a great asset to this restaurant. The service here jumps right out at you. There is constant attention for water, bread, and wine refills. Their bar area was full and hopping. It turns out that Happy Hour is a big deal here. The menu has some intimidating numbers and everything is a la carte. We ordered the special which was steak Oscar. That's a petite filet with crab meat and Bearnaise sauce. This decadent entree partnered with a flavorful mac & Cheese. I had the large filet with peppercorns and those nasty Fleming potatoes. A very tasty dish. Their wine list is impressive. They even have an input device that shows the history of each winery, and the type of varietals produced. The best prices are located in the back of the wine menu however. We enjoyed a good Merlot. Since it was an anniversary celebration, they gave us a small box of home made truffles. I had the opportunity to speak with Ron the manager, and he was really hands on, even sweeping the floor to tidy up. We had the chocolate lava desert, and that was amazing. Fleming's will impress you, the offset is cost, but this is a sure case of you get what you pay for.

A perfect place to dine

By WJC50 |

Went to San Antonio location for a celebration dinner. It was the perfect choice. Steaks were cooked exactly to order, plentiful sides, and excellent service. I recommend the crab sauce, oscar style on you steak. Also, complimentary valet parking.

Fabulous food

By Terry H |

This is a very expensive restaurant, but will worth it. My husband and I went for a special occasion. Wonderful wait staff. The wine the waiter helped us with was the best I have ever had. This is a dining place. There is no reason to rush. Good food, wine and company

Best Steak I have had in years

By BoerneBob |

The steak was excellent, but so was all the food. Perfect for a date, I saw families having a good time. The room was rich and comfortable. While the prices are high, it was worth ever penny. I almost don't want to say how good it was because I don't want tourists to flood the place and ruin it. Also the service was very friendly with an edge of being professional. Now my favorite Steakhouse, plus my girlfriend like the wine selection.

Best Dinner in San Antonio

By Grover R |

We ate here with people who live in San Antonio. This was the best of the 3 dinners we had in San Antonio. The steaks were great and the Old Fashion with the large ice cube was perfect. The table then split a Lava Cake for dessert and it was amazing. In attention the servers were the best we had on the trip. I highly recommend dinner here.

A fine dining experience also as comfortable as a family restaurant

By JohnsonIV |

The owners of Fleming's somehow found a way to make a fine dining experience also as comfortable as a family restaurant. However, the flip side of that success is that like at a family restaurant, numerous kids were literally running around and sitting on the floor, which definitely took away from the fine dining atmosphere. Dark woods and white linen are prevalent in the decor. There's booth and table seating in the split-level restaurant, as well as a good-sized bar with plenty of additional seating. An open kitchen takes up one end of the restaurant. The friendly, efficient, knowledgeable staff definitely checks the Fine Dining box. The food is excellent, with steaks cooked perfectly...even if someone (um, hypothetically) requests something screwy like "between Medium and Medium Well." (Thank you, Chef, for nailing that!) The sauces have wonderfully rich flavors, but complement and do not overwhelm the steak. The decent-sized menu has plenty of non-steak entree options as well, and everything comes in good-sized portions; the sides and apps are sized for sharing. The brussel sprouts appetizer was particularly amazing. There's also a wealth of creative mixed drinks. The dessert selection was somewhat standard for a steakhouse, but at least the lava cake (my wife's preference) and the key lime pie (my preference) were outstanding. Fleming's is definitely pricey, but you know that going in and you do get what you pay for.

Excellent ribeye steak and chocolate lava cake!

By Lovelylo87 |

We loved the ribeye steak! Their bread and cheese spread was also amazing. The highlight though of the night was the chocolate lava cake! It was amazing!

Over Rated & Expensive Chain Brand Steak House

By Michael I |

Normal steak and chop house (the new buzz words used these days to sell meat at a 1,000% mark up without the sides and make you feel privileged to eat it). Came in from out of town and took a valued client to this location. Honestly, after eating in really fine dining, this was nothing special and was over priced given the service and the quality of the food. The shrimp appetizer tasted lil it had been on ice too long (expensive), and the steaks were just ho hum OK. The drinks are watered down and you can tell you are eating in a dressed up type Landry's operation (even if it is or isn't), it just felt like a chain and mass-produced and mass-purchased food. For a $500+ tab for 4, I expected more, and no we didn't have a bottle of wine either, just a few cocktails with more water and ice than cocktail. This is a money making machine and next time they won't be getting mine. for $500 plus for 4 people (that's $100 per person folks for something that will be gone biologically in a few hours), every dot above should be lit up green all the way down below too indicating excellent.

STILL GREAT STEAKS AND SERVICE IN SA!!!

By Daryl H |

Another great night at Fleming's Steakhouse in San Antonio. Attractive restaurant with high end upscale decor. Outstanding service and delicious food. Cocktails are well chilled, and the Happy Hour Bar menu is really a bargain with lots of tasty appetizer options. A special shout-out to London Holiday on the bar who is outstanding! Extensive menu of steaks, seafood, and other well-known Fleming's offerings. Delicious salads, soups and a very nice selection of side dishes to accompany your meal. Extensive wine list. Valet parking. Highly recommended!

Excellent Food.

By worldtraveler73_7 |

We had a filet Mignon with pepper sauce and also their salmon dish. We loved their salad and their dessert

If you are looking for a special restaurant for a birthday or celebrate a business achievement or team....Fleming's is the place. I have gone a few times and this is a great place to meet for the holidays.....excellent service and great food. The attention to details and the professionalism of staff is outstanding...plus complimentary Valet Parking is offered.

Fleming's

By Edward T |

Fleming's has a great happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. they have a variety of drink specials and appetizer's. This a grpwn up place not somewhere you see children running around in. So if you are in the mood for good food and drinks this is the place to go.

Experience the Quality

By Roman T |

Business meeting with several customers brought us to this area and a recommendation was made related to Flemings. Nice location with valet parking, located inside a shopping district. Restaurant offers ample seating, but soundproofed as it was easy to conduct multiple conversations. Well trained staff, extensive beverage and entrée items offered. Bread seemed a little stale, but toppings were wonderful. Cesar Salads and Flemings Garden Salads ordered. Did not disappoint. Sea Bass and steaks were ordered. Very tasty and tender. I'm impressed with the Pittsburgh Rare that was recommended on my filet. Sides, we're much smaller than anticipated. Overall, a good experience.

Wonderful

By Maps662705 |

Flemings has become my go to steak place. The ambience is good, the food was super, and our waiter, Mark, was really knowledgeable and attentive. Our favorite was the garlic mushrooms, we ordered seconds. Of course the steak was delicious, and plentiful.

Not to Miss

By PrincessSquirrel |

I am drawn to Flemings for excellent service, friendliness, atmosphere but most of all of course their food. Prepared to your personal desire...Served hot, fresh and delicious...Our server, John Bilyk was delightful which made our evening more pleasant. A lovely restaurant and not to be missed when you are in San Antonio.

Really good but pricey

By jpmfv@hotmail.com |

Had a wonderful dinner at Flemings, ordered a onion soup and it was delicious. We orderes a 16oz steak for two people and it was enough. Would go back my next trip to SA.

A big old frown was turned upside down 👍

By landman55 |

Let me start by saying it had been over four years since we last dined at Flemings San Antonio and after that disappointing experience I swore I would not be back. However, I was tempted to return last week by a "please return" promotional invitation so we invited another couple and made our reservations online. Our waiter was inattentive and pushy however the chef prepared an excellent dinner, the drinks and wine were very good and I was feeling great until our waiter informed me that since we did not call the restaurant directly to make the reservation the promotion was "not" valid. I paid the $400+ bill and left, kicking myself all the way out the door. Never one to make a fuss but when I received a "thank you" email the next day I replied back with the specific details and asked to be removed from the mailing list. The next evening I was pleasantly surprised to see a personal note from the manager Daniel Pedrotti III apologizing and also telling me that the promotional amount was already credited to my card and he would like to buy our next dinner. 😳 This simple act of goodwill is evidence that Flemings is a first class restaurant and worthy of second (or third) chances. We're looking forward to another fabulous meal. Cheers.

Good dinner, good desserts, good service and nice atmosphere. We will for sure go back there and eat.

By Susan H |

Food was delicious. Husband had Cesar Salad, Baked Potato, Bone In Ribeye Steak with Mushrooms. I had Salad with Dried Cranberries, Walnuts & Lemon Balsamic Vinegar Dressing, Baked Potato, and Chilean Sea Bass. Service was perfect.

Atmosphere, Service, Food +

By Bud L |

This was our 3rd visit to Flemings and we'll definitely go again. I like the ambiance, dark wood panelling, well dressed wait and bus staff, and EXCELLENT service. I had the lettuce wedge as a salad, the prime ribeye, Flemings potatoes for a side (plenty for 2), and cheese cake for dessert. My only disapponintment was that the ribeye, though very flavorful, was tougher and had more gristle than I thought prime beef should have. My wife had the small filet and it was great. Flemings potatoes is kind of au gratin style with a touch of jalapeno. Menu items are a la carte. If my everyday driver was a Ferrari or Maserati, I might be a regular but it is kind of a birthday, anniversary, big raise kind of place for us. Pretty extensive wine list with many wines available by the glass. If you like Ruths Chris and Bohanans you'll probably like this place too. Dinner for 2 incl. 1 glass of wine, 1 dessert $135 + gratuity.

Not good

By Tandy B |

Went to Flemings to sit in the bar with my husband, have a glass of wine and appetizers, small plates, as we have done in the past. Normally, the bar is full. Not this eve. When we walked through the entry, there was a very strong odor of sewer gas. I had noticed it around restrooms last time I was there. We should have turned around and walked out. Found a booth, ordered wine. No one came to take our food order, in the 45 minutes we sat there....but I kept smelling the sewer gas, all the way in the bar. So unappetizing, I didn't want to eat there any longer. They have to get that fixed. I think it has affected the crowds.....used to be good food but the last few times, it was average. The sewer gas issue prompted me to write as I used to really like this restaurant but tonight, could not eat there.

Significant Food Quality Decline

By Napunani |

Dined again at Fleming's for their 3-course Prime Rib Sunday Dinner Special ($29.95) since our last (March 2012) dining experience for this special was such an outstanding experience, but this time, not good and we agreed certainly not worth our time or money. The Prime Rib cut was less than 1/2 inch thick! Frankly, it tasted as tho it was a leftover! Just bland. Both hubby and I were very disappointed in such a significant food quality decline. Service was average. We sat with dirty dishes for 10 minutes or more.

Perfection

Great menu selection, food and wine was wonderful, knowledgable waitstaff. Overall an amazing dining experience! (:

Anniversary Dinner

By VMCJR |

We went to Fleming's for our 27th anniversary - and thoroughly enjoyed our meal! My steak was excellent and prepared just as I had ordered, my wife had the two lobster tail dinner, again outstanding. Service was excellent, but not overbearing. We enjoyed a bottle of wine from their exceptional wine list and shared a dessert as well. The manager also came by to wish us a happy anniversary and they gave us a box of truffles and a gift card ($25) to return to Fleming's. We'll be back!

The food is excellent, but the prices will choke you

By SanAntonioGal |

I have enjoyed delicious meals at Fleming's before and although they were on the spendy side, the overall price value was good. Since our last visit, the prices have been jacked up significantly, making them now on par with New York City steakhouses. This restaurant is not in NYC, it's in a shopping center in San Antonio. The service was good, but a bit confused. The food continues to be excellent, but the ala carte sides are good but not really worth the price. Take your special someone if you want linen tableclothes, but leave the rest of the family home.

Back for the first time in a while.

By plbacman |

We have been here 3-4 times before. Thought it was just OK. Went this time with a group on 150+ and thought it would not be very good since the numbers in our crowd. Instead it was very good. Filet was excellent and sides were also. We will go back again.

Now This Was Excellent!!

By MAC3844 |

We had no reservations on a Friday night. The hostess suggested a booth in the bar. She even made sure someone came to clean it and continued to check on us to assure we were being served. Our waiter, Lacy, went out of her way to constantly make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the evening. A storm knocked the power out a couple of times but didn't slow the service at all. Food was fantastic (Petit Filet) and, as I said, there should be more of a "Lacy" in every restaurant. She made the experience better than excellent. Will return on next visit to San Antonio.

Escape

We love and enjoy coming to Flemings in San Antonio at the Quarry. We love the food, ambiance, and excellent service. Frank is the absolute best server! He is so professional, kind, thoughtful, and conscientious. He will ensure your dining experience is the best!

Premier dining

By tag302 |

Everything you'd expect from a premier steak restaurant. We went there for a special occasion and Fleming's did not disappoint. The steak was excellent and prepared exactly to order. The service was gracious and impeccable. This restaurant is in a shopping area, and so we used the complementary valet parking because the nearby lot was full. The attendant was gentle with our car, which was appreciated. One note: because of the open kitchen at the rear of the restaurant, the dining area is not as quiet as hoped. But all other aspects outweighed that one detail.

thoroughly impressed! Amazing service!

It was my birthday & we celebrated at fleming’s. I’ve never felt more special! Their customer service was amazing and so were the food & desserts. I had the filet mignon and their molten chocolate cake which was super tasty!

50th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

By Rhonda L |

Me and my family enjoyed Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar San Antonio, Tx our server Tiffany Koltermann was amazing she really took care of me and my family. The manager: Daniel Pedrotti III was very professional for my 50th CELEBRATION the entire staff was Awesome. They didnt have to take care of me and my family like they did but i will say Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar have our business for life so now when we travel if there's a Fleming's Prime Steakhouse in that city we will try them out

Great choice for special moments!

By HARC |

This was a special occasion, and we decided to give it a try here again. As usual, wonderful experience, great staff, great selection of wines and steaks. We opted for the dry-aged rib eye, and the experience was sublime. We were very happy with this choice and had a great evening. Thanks to the staff at Fleming's at Alamo Heights.

CONSISTENTLY OUTSTANDING

By Daryl H |

We have been coming to this popular San Antonio Steakhouse for many years. Our most recent visit was after several months of Covid restrictions, and the record breaking cold artic storm that hit all of Texas. We were there the second night after they reopened from the winter storm. Everything was outstanding, as if nothing happened the previous week. All the chef inspired prime beef entrées and speciality offerings that you have come to expect from Fleming's were available. Our server, Christian, delivered old school upscale service from start to finish. Well chilled cocktails from London behind the bar were perfect. Both my wife and I had the filet mignon with baked potato, and it was cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy, just like you would expect. The jumbo shrimp cocktail is always a teat, and the best way to begin your memorable evening meal. Lots of appetizers, soup, salads, and side dishes to share are available. Nice selection of tasty desserts for your sweet tooth to round out an excellent dinner. Extensive wine list. Reservations are strongly advised. Highly recommended!

Wonderful!

By SophieBlue09 |

I've never been to a Fleming's in any location. It took a family member who dined there three nights in a row to get me there and now I'm a huge fan! There were five of us and the waiter knew them well enough to anticipate when they would like another drink from the bar. We ordered a bottle of Rombauer Chardonnay for three of us to share. My husband had a Caesar salad and salmon with an amazing glacé from the "small plates" section of the menu. I had a spinach salad and sliced filet mignon with risotto. The group shared carrot cake and chocolate volcano desserts. The service was flawless and we enjoyed everything. A wonderful meal for each of us!

Great surf 'n turf with wonderful service

By mgkamish |

We had coupons for a special on steak and lobster so that's what we all had. The steaks were very tender and cooked to perfection. The lobster was very tasty. The server was excellent. I didn't drink the wine but those who did said it was excellent. I had the creme brulee for dessert and it was awesome. The crust was perfectly done. Would definitely go back (with a coupon as it's expensive).

First time visit did not disappoint!

By Txchap |

This was out first time trying Fleming's and not really sure why. We have visited other prime steakhouses in town from time to time, but never made it over to this one. Glad we did! Took the family out for a Friday night dinner and had reservations during prime time. Restaurant offers free valet which is nice since parking can be tough at the Quarry. We were seated right away and our server, Mark S. was there to greet us. Everything about our meal was great! For appetizers, we had the calamari and the Ahi Tuna (small plate). Calamari was good but not exceptional. Ahi was another story....we have eaten Ahi at MANY places, and I have to say this was the BEST I have ever eaten!! Can't wait to go back for more of that!! Wife had the Sea Bass and son and I had the Main filet. I added the lump crab meat with bearnaise and it was outstanding! Steaks cooked perfectly!! Wife's fish was tasty as well!! For sides, we choose the truffle mashed potatoes, baked potato and the Thai green beans (which were out of this world). For dessert, we tried the Creme Brulee and the berries with chantilly cream. Again....no disappointment here. Overall, just a great meal with outstanding service!! Couldn't have asked for anything more. If you are able to ask for Mark S. for your server, you will not be disappointed! He went above and beyond to make our night outstanding. Even went outside and got our car ready with the valet! Little things like this make people keep coming back!!

Great Ribeye

By rcjetskier |

We have been before to our local Fleming, but since we had a giftcard to use we decided to go to Fleming in San Antonio. We had the crab cakes, they were okay. I love their caesar salad, we split it. I had the ribeye and my husband had the filet. They were both very good, I think it was one of the best ribeyes I've had it a long time. It was a wonderful evening.

excellent service and fine dining

By Greg G |

My wife and I go out on Saturdays for "date night" and we had not been to Flemings for a while. We were greeted like family, shown to our table right away, and had all the time we needed to enjoy our dinner. The staff was attentive without hovering, the food came out fresh and hot, the wine list had some real bargains. One thing I especially liked was the selection of small plates, which allowed my wife and myself to share some of each others dinner without getting too full. At one point a manager came by to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, and we were happy to tell him how pleased we were with the entire experience.

Disappointment

By botanicalsa |

Went Friday night 2-8-2013 Bar menu has changed from our last visit, it's quite limiting from the older menu. We were disappointed. I ordered a wedge salad. It came with only three cherry tomatos, each cut in half. Seriously? A huge chunk of lettuce, and three tiny tomatos. Why bother? Flemings had come up with a great idea of their "small portions"! We would go at least once a month. Guessing the bar area had become more popular then the big dinning area, so changes were made. In our opinion, not for the better. It will be awhile before we'll go back, Flemings. Bartenders are still great!

Always the best time

By vbintx |

Special occasions are always celebrated at Fleming's. The decor and atmosphere is upscale and the staff goes to every effort to make your experience special. The first time we came to this Fleming's, my tastebuds thought they'd died and gone to heaven. I could almost swear that the steak was so tender that it melted in my mouth. It was that good. Starting with the Fleming's salad, add the steak and sides to share (sauteed mushrooms and crispy Brussels sprouts) and ending with the Creme Brulee, it's all amazing. Take your time, order what you like and then savor it as it and you deserve. Hubby says they make a great lunch burger too. And make reservations.

Over priced

By PlanoTravler |

In Texas we have an over abundance of steakhouses,IMHO,Fleming’s is one of them. This is an average overpriced restaurant at best. Here, like all the rest, everything is al a carte. Give me a break,$11 for a baked potato. I ordered the half wedge salad, actually the best thing I had this evening. Who ever developed this item is a genius. Charge a fortune for the cheapest quarter of a head of iceberg lettuce with some blue cheese. Ok so my real complaint is that I ordered a bone in 16oz prime rib eye. It was less than 1/2 inch thick. I asked for it to be cooked charred med rare. It cane with all the fat still intact. The steak tasted ok, but for $61, cook it like you know what you are doing. I added the $12 asparagus that were less than pencil and eight of them. My wife had the 11 oz filet for only $58. It was good she said. The service was not what I expect for a dinner tab that was over $200 without any alcohol. I am sure that I am over picky, but it is a bunch of money. Next time I will look elsewhere in San Antonio, maybe Plano is better.

Great specials

By Jimksatx_11 |

we went for dinner ,the special was filet and lobster with an appetizer and salad. The meal was wonderful and the service was great .Jordan was there to meet our needs, she did a great job she made the dinner a great experience. The specials are a great value.

First Class Steakhouse

By Deb B |

I have never had anything but excellent food and service at Flemings. Waitstaff is attentive and professional, but not overbearing. Food is amazing! If you go, be sure to sign up to become a "Friend of Flemings". That way you will be notified of special dinners and events. Whether it's in the bar for happy hour or full dining in the restaurant, you cannot go wrong here. Consistently excellent!

Great Service, Great Dinner

By QDOGG8 |

Flemings was great for a special date night with my wife. The service was excellent and very attentive. We did not have any wine or drinks because my wife is pregnant but we did have great steaks and an awesome dessert! I would definitely recommend Flemings for a romantic dinner!

Waste of Time and Money

By Texas1980 |

Four of us visited Fleming's last night and we all ordered steak but only two of us got to eat them. The reason why is because we asked for the steaks to be cooked medium and received them rare. Sent them back to be cooked longer and got them back medium rare with a hot plate. We asked for a bottle of Pinot and they have us a Shiraz that was $20 more. They also surprised us with a $14 charge for liquor tax instead of just including that cost on the menu price. I'm the one that insisted on going to Fleming's and felt terrible about it after our lousy experience. The Manager did not charge us for the steak and adjusted the price of the wine. We appreciated him doing so but would have preferred to have a nice dinner versus a cheaper dinner. That's the point of going to a fancy steakhouse, right?! Next time I'll visit Perry's or Ruth Kris instead.

Unfavorable Experience

By bridget k |

Food was descent but service was less than desirable. Our waiter pushed us to order before receiving our wine, even after I asked that we get a few minutes to settle in to our dinner. The server bringing food out stacked our plates up his arm which made the bottom of the plates touch the top of others food. This made for a 'diner' experience in my opinion. Lettuce was brown on the wedge salad and crostini was stale. When our main entrees came out, the potatoes fell off the plate because the waiter stacked our food on top of each other and stuck to the plate that sat on top of it. I had flash backs of eating at a 'Sizzler' restaurant. This is very disappointing knowing that our bill was $300+. It is a big disappointment that waiters can't figure out to serve the lady first at dinner, even after my husband informed the waiter that 'my wife needs to feel first tonight'. All I can say is: go somewhere else if you want to get that top quality steak house service, as this place will leave you disappointed.

Relaxed Texan elegance

By Hugh |

Superb steak house in a state where steak is king. I was there last week with a friend while visiting San Antonio. I had another place in mind, but as the invitee I remained silent and was pleasantly surprised. As any first class steak house it is pricey but worth it. I ordered the special of the day, a Delmonico topped with a crab/cream sauce preceded by a pear salad. It was an incredible value and both steak and salad were first class. It was creative and prepared to perfection. I was delighted with the wine list. There was an interesting variety of wines by the glass and so I tried two glasses of different reds I had never tasted before. It is located in the Quarry Shopping Center. It is a better option than the touristy joints along the Riverwalk. If you're staying downtown it is worth the short trip to Alamo Heights.

Prime Rib Special

By Deb B |

From time to time Fleming's will run a special $34.95 deal for prime rib, and I always try to go. It includes three sauces, your choice of salad, side and decadent dessert. It's way more Food than I can eat, but my doggies are appreciative when I bring home leftovers (ha, like they get any!). We wound up at a booth in the bar which also got us happy hour wine prices. Our server London was great! If you join the "Friends of Flemings" club, you get email notifications of these great deals.

Great place for a great meal

By wukovits |

We recently visited Fleming's in the Quarry to celebrate a birthday. We started with a couple of cocktails and appetizers, all of which were exceptional. For entrees, while most of the table opted for a steak, I decided to try the Chef's Table Mixed Grill, which featured a lamb chop, sea scallops, and a 6oz. filet. Having a little variety made for an incredible meal which we accompanied with Brussels sprouts, lobster mac & cheese, and the Fleming's potatoes. For dessert, they surprised me with a chocolate lava cake which complemented the key lime pie that arrived. There wasn't a single thing that crossed our table that wasn't simply delicious. The service was exceptional as always and I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if you want a great experience for a special dinner.

A First Visit to Fleming's in San Antonio

By Dr. A. Luciano Stroia |

All in all it was an excellent experience. The location at the Quarry is prime. The staff is super-accommodating. The wine-bar is quite a scene. Go there at happy hour and you'll see the place hopping. Despite that, the staff will bend themselves backward to make you happy, no matter how busy the joint is. The food was very good and so was the wine. It's worth a stop at any time.

Impeccable Service

By Emily A |

Impeccable service, delectable food, lovely atmosphere! Our server, Tiffany, was friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgable about the menu. I was desiring a French Malbec, which they did not have in stock. So, Tiffany brought over Christian, the Wine Manager. After listening to what I was looking for, he graciously offered a Malbec that was not listed on the menu. His recommendation was superb! Tiffany & Christian know how to make a patron feel like a valued guest! My husband & I were at Fleming's celebrating his birthday. He ordered the 12 oz filet ($48) and I ordered the Chef's Selection (filet, duck, & pork dumplings) ($60). The filets were cooked exactly to our liking, and the duck was incredible!!! I wish I could order a whole plate of just their duck. We also ordered a side of Fleming's Potatoes ($11.50) and the Choc Lava Cake ($13.50) for dessert. All of the food was perfect, including their warm bread upon arrival. We finished off the evening receiving Birthday Truffles and a $25 gift card to return. My ONLY complaints: please bring back the Lamb and the Creamed Corn!!

Great Food and Service

By BluePlate-Now |

Had not been here in awhile and glad to see the food and service remain outstanding. We went on a Sunday, all 4 in our group had the $29.99 prime rib special cooked differently with some different sides and deserts. Everything was great and cooked to order! Make reservations as they can be busy. Staff was excellent and Mgr Dan checked on us several times. Go enjoy a nice meal.

Never ever fails

By Nancy M |

I am a huge fan of Flemings. Whenever I travel, I will always look to find a Flemings Steakhouse. Well here I am in San Antonio with family. We went for dinner last night. One Ribeye, 2 petit fillets, I regular fillet, ceaser salad, Fleming house salad, sauté mushrooms, Flemings famous potatoes - everything cooked to perfection, yum yum yum...,we savored every moment with wine, great conversation, love of family. Enjoy! Always worth it. Great service!

excellent food only surpassed by outstanding service

By sat6666 |

Everything our charming server was even better than what she said. the steak was cooked to perfection - the chilled salad forks are always a lovely addition and the molten chocolate dessert the three of us shared was fabulous!

Birthday Dinner

By Wendy M |

We have visited several high end steak houses in town in the course of our daily business. For a private dinner we decided to try Fleming's. The decor and ambience felt dated - like a place we should have been for prom in the '90s. The service was fine, although they changed servers on us in the middle of dinner. The food was fairly greasy. I am sure it all started fresh and healthy but when we received vegetables swimming in butter we struggled to justify the benefits of the food group.

Excellent !!!

By Kevin F |

My wife and daughter joined me for dinner at Fleming's. We enjoyed their prime rib dinner with a wedge salad. I complimented my prime rib with scalloped potatoes. My wife and daughter each had a baked potato with their meal. I have to say everything about this place is great. Complimentary valet parking, friendly hostess, knowledgeable wait staff, and even a table side visit from the manager. Best of all they run a summertime special on their prime rib dinner which included a side, a salad, and a dessert for $29.95. Highly recommend it to all.

Social Hour is the way to go!

By Libby L |

We love celebrating special occasions here, but can be pricy for an “every day” meal. Our solution is starting at the bar and enjoying a few appetizers and drinks from their social hour menu! Went there yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by their new item: CHARCUTERIE & CHEESE PLATE ($19), simply amazing: prosciutto, chorizo and 2 different types of cheese (think one was aged Gouda) plus fig jam, coarse mustard and a house made “potted cheese” (best description I can come up with), as well as fruit (dried apricot and strawberry) with crispy flatbread -choices will vary depending on what they have in season, so you might get something different); we also enjoyed one of their classic offerings: FLEMING'S PRIME STEAKHOUSE SLIDERS: 4 sliders, perfect char on them, much better than any of their regular burgers if you ask me (secret is their red onion confit, I’m sure). New wine offerings were great value and generous pour, not to mention went very well with the apps (we chose the Pebble Lane and Josh Cellars $9/each). If you feel like indulging, try the Blueberry Lemondrop martini (on their regular drink menu).

First time visit and we won't be back!

By Dave E |

This was our first time to Fleming's and we decided this would be a good time to use the gift cards that our son and daughter-in-law gave us at Christmas. Of course we expected outstanding service and outstanding food at a steakhouse of this "supposed" caliber. My wife ordered the petite filet mignon and it was very good but the waiter brought it over on a white plate by itself; when he set it on the table it slid almost off the plate. The least they could've done for about $50 a steak is put some greenery on the plate. I ordered the 14 oz. new york strip and about 35% of my steak had some small gristle, I was embarrassed to remove the gristle into my napkin; and it too was served solo on a white plate; I was very disappointed in my meal. The reason that I didn't complain was because it was our 20th wedding anniversary celebration and I didn't want the rest of the evening poisoned by a spectacle. Bottom line, you shouldn't even have to consider complaining about the food in a restaurant like this. The food should be perfect every time. The baked potato was very good. Now on to our server, he was just okay, didn't go out of his way to make us feel welcome; there were two other gentlemen that came by and asked us how we were doing, but isn't that what the server is supposed to do. At $50 a steak, I shouldn't have to write a review like this. We have had a much better all around experience at other steakhouses for half the cost. When we dine at Del Frisco's you get everything that you expect; an outstanding experience and at that point money doesn't matter. We won't return to Fleming's, sadly it was a disappointment.

OUTSTANDING DINING EXPERIENCE

By Daryl H |

The San Antonio location of this nationally recognized and known steakhouse chain, is excellent, and popular with locals as well as visiting tourists. The usual Flemings menu of prime steaks, chops, prime rib and selected seafood items is available. All prepared to perfection and served in a style that one would expect for a high end steakhouse. Management and staff are well trained and eager to please the customer. The drinks are strong and well chilled. Simone and Edward in the cocktail lounge provide wonderful professional attentive service. Many of the servers in the dining room at this location have been here since its opening, and will provide an exceptional dining experience for any special occasion, or just an evening out for dinner. Wonderful appetizers and delicious desserts are on the menu. Flemings is known for their happy hour bar menu and this location hits all the right notes. Valet parking available, along with plenty of convenient free of street parking. Highly recommended!

Great Steak

A little higher than average price but well worth the visit. Fantastic service and the Steaks and drinks cannot be beat..

Filet and lobster feast

By BigCharlie1944 |

Based on our many dining out experiences, Fleming’s has some excellent values while providing outstanding service and an atmosphere conducive to conducting a business dinner. The current special of filet and lobster including salad and dessert for $50 is unbeatable.

Best steak in years

By Kevin K |

About 7 years ago I learned how to cook a truly perfect medium rare steak and since I did, it has ruined the experience of ordering a steak while dining out, because nothing is as good. Or at least that has been my experience for the last number of years. But then we went to Flemings, and I had the best steak I have had in ages and the service to match. We cannot wait to go there again.

First Time for Mother's Day Brunch

By bacrowe |

5/12/2013 Reservations made for my mother and I. I enjoyed the French toast with blueberries and gave the sausage to my mom since I am a vegetarian.i thought the ginger carrots were good as well. The Cesar salad that came with the brunch special was not bad. My mom had the eggs Benedict for the first time and said it was really good and had the fruit for an appetizer. Negative: The staff either was understaffed or unorganized because we and several other families with reservations had to wait to be seated. After the brunch we realized that our server forgot to ask my mom what sides she wanted with her entree but other than that the service and food was good even for a veggie like me.

Couldn't Have Asked For A Better Experience

By dcjcfromTexas |

From the Blueberry Lemon Drop to the after dinner coffee with their specialty Chantilly Lace cream - and all points in between - excellent. Service was superb (as in five-star); appetizers delicious as was the perfectly cooked Ribeye with a baked potato side. Carrot Cake was mouthwatering and Chocolate Lava was decadent.

Wonderful Dinner!

By Outback_Dave |

Wow! Wonderful steak dinner with pitch perfect service. Dry aged rib-eye was out of this world and the wine list has a wide variety of by the glass choices. The Fleming's salad is nice and light while the spinach salad is a little heavier with bacon and cheese, both very tasty. Chocolate lava cake is delicious. The cake is light and fluffy and nicely balanced with ice-cream and chantilly cream. Great for sharing and a nice end to a perfect dinner.

A great place for a celebration with familyl!

By Ruth H |

We made a reservation and quickly seated when we arrived. The service was excellent. Our table was cleared almost immediately as dishes were emptied and the meal was served at the right temperatures. Everyone in our party thought their meal was the best! They even have a kid's menu! Excellent wine choices too!

absolutely fantastic management

By Anita T |

Before we went we looked up the menu on the internet and decided on our choices. When we were ready to order at the restaurant the waitress told us the those choices were no longer available. After speaking with the manager ( David Bailey) He was very nice and offered us a choice that was almost the same as we had seen on the internet menu. He did not need to do this but was so gracious that we will always go back and dine at this restaurant. Our server Stephanie Capper was also so helpful and made our dinner a memorable occasion. Thank you to both for a wonderful dining experience.

Flemings

By Joseph P |

Great food and atmosphere. Service was incredible. Steaks are awesome and perfectly cooked. Never a bad time at Flemings

Be sure to visit

By pccmikemd2 |

Fleming's is great all the time but, especially when they run their promotional Prime Rib Dinner. It's only $29.95 and the complete dinner is so large, you'll wind up taking home enough for another meal or at least a big snack.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND PRIME STEAKS

By Daryl H |

We have been dining at Flemings on a regular basis since they opened 10 years ago in the beautiful Alamo quarry market on the high end northeast side of San Antonio. This is a delightful restaurant with a clubby, cozy atmosphere and ambiance. Cocktails are professionally prepared to your specifications. Ted behind the bar is an exceptional bartender and will take good care of you. Appetizer selections are extensive. The wine list is overwhelming and very comprehensive. The menu offers an extensive variety of prime steaks, seafood, pork chops, and chicken. Side dishes are big enough to share, and desserts are delicious. Outstanding management and staff will make your visit a memorable one. Come and relax and have a wonderful evening to remember. You will not be disappointed, highly recommended!

Great for dinner with family

By AlexBCMexico |

Long time ago since my last visit to Fleming's. Things have changed since then, for good. Made my sons feel special. Prix Fixe menu is great! The best Tomahawk ever tasted. And the Bone-in Filet Mignon, definitely a winner. A little bit expensive, but worth it. Side dishes pretty good, but can do better.

Exceptional service and killer steaks!

By Rhonda E |

We were recommended Fleming's by the front desk at the Hilton. It did not disappoint! Great steaks, nice wine list and service was spot on.

I can always trust Fleming’s

By Immyness |

I can always trust Fleming’s to deliver a lovely evening. The wine selection is plentiful and the food is always fresh and flavorful. The ambiance is appropriate, offering subdued lighting and a comfortable noise level. The servers are attentive and not overbearing. Our meals were delicious and our girl’s night was wonderful.

Anniversary Dinner!

Anniversary Dinner! Sat in the bar for ore dinner cocktails that were perfectly crafted Dinner service was fantastic our server Christian was flawless our steaks perfect! By far one of the best meals I’ve had in San Antonio

You want excellence?

By Carlos M |

You can find it here!! The beef is over the top, they cook it to perfection. The sides are great to share and the service is impeccable. I would tell you that for a special occasion is the place to go. It will probably cost you twice as much as a everyday steak house but well worth it.

Delicious Meal

By Branda G |

The steak and crab legs were delicious! The service was also very good! Enjoyed our meal! We will definitely return for another meal at Flemings.

We love here and we recommend it.

By Yalda N |

We went here for a fancy birthday party as a couple. My husband made a reservation. We like fresh air so we sat on the porch. We got there on happy hour so they have some yummy cocktails and some wine selection as cheap as $6 and the cocktail I tried was pretty strong. We got soup, appetizer, steaks and at the end I had their famous lava cake . It was yummy. Service was nice. The waiter was so polite and sweet I liked their potato chips which they bring on the table, they were too nice to give me some to go. They also gave me a cute little box of their handmade chocolate as a birthday gift plus I think they have this thing if you spend a certain amount they give you a gift card. So we received also a gift card which we came back on Dec. and we enjoyed some more fleming's dining . Anyways I had a wonderful birthday. We love here and we recommend it.

Most Amazing Dining Experience of My Life!

By P N |

Everything was absolutely PERFECT at Fleming's! Amazing ambiance, food, and service. The brie cheese w/apple app was an out of this world delicacy!! I've never tasted such amazing food. (Food in Brera, Milano, Italy was close!) The potato was so different and great! The steak, oh yes the steak...cooked to perfection. Tender, flavorful, sooo good! The sauce was so good, I asked for more! Go..you'll be soo glad you did.

You want great steak? Don't miss this place.

By Alfonso P |

Bone In Ribeye was a masterpiece. Kudos to the chef. The flavor flowed and was magic to the palette. Accompanied by a South American Malbec that was not to strong but with vibrant flavor. The appetizer empanada was decent and the cesar was more than expected. The steak and lobster was also very well prepared. Wish we could've made it to dessert but we were very satisfied with the great meal

Steakhouse steak only OK

By connie e |

Me and my husband attended a meeting at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse where we had the choice of filet mignon, salmon and chicken. My husband's salmon dinner was described as more than excellent and my filet mignon was blah! I was so disappointed as I expected the quality of the filet to be like that from Morton's or Ruth Chris's restaurants. They refused to cook it "rare" so I received it medium. The salad was so-so, the potatoes very good and the cheese cake too good! All in all I do not think I will return.

A total mess! Will not return

By DLK |

Made reservation days in advance of Christmas Eve for 8 o’clock, confirmed reservation in a response via text and email from the restaurant, arrived 26 minutes early to check in and was told my reservation was at eight but I would be seated a few minutes after eight. 8:30 I want to check on the reservation, I’m sorry they said it will be a while I ask how long they said we still need to see people from the 730 and 745 reservation times. At 9 o’clock I asked to see a manager and ask for a table immediately. Was seated ahead of people with 7:00 and 7:30 reservation times because I complained. It took salad 30 min to arrive. Food arrived 40 min after salad was complete. Steaks sub par and undercooked. Sides served cold. Couldn’t enjoy a dessert and coffee as it was too late. Will NEVER go back. Talked to the managing partner told him I was not happy that I was out right lied to when I asked about the time I would be seated and that she was told to do that by a manager. He did comp. the meal but my nought was not what I wanted it to be and it was not fun.

$452 --- 3 Botched Steaks: Utterly Disappointed

By Mon-ValleyGuy |

Appetizer were great, sides were great, service with Tony was great. However-- they botched all three steaks! We ordered three steaks at this "Prime Steakhouse." Two large Filet Mignon at medium rare and one small Filet Mignon cooked medium. What we got was one large Filet Mignon cooked medium well, one large Filet Mignon cooked medium and one small Filet Mignon at rare. All three steaks were total misses and we were utterly disappointed. David, the manager, offered to give us some free desserts for the confusion. Really? A Prime steakhouse that can't get one steak right out of three?! Go elsewhere! San Antonio is full of other **real** Prime Steakhouses where the chefs know how to cook the steaks. I will never return and I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Didn't make it right and happily took my $452.

10th anniversary Dinner

By .982petep |

Great experience for our first dining experience at Flemings. We loved everything from the complimentary valet parking to the "no rush" attitude of the staff. I ordered they perfectly cooked Wagyu New York strip with a side of sautéed spinach. Very tasty and filling. They presented the dessert menu and i asked for low sugar offerings and they provided a bowl of fresh berries not offered on the menu. I can't speak for the rest of our party, but everything was positive about their dishes. The staff was courteous, informative, and never rushed us to leave. I'm not a big spender and don't have these type of meals very often, but i would absolutely go back. I had no problem with the price of my meal. I'm sure people have had better, but it was a great experience for us.

Anniversary Dinner

This is our favorite steak house in San Antonio- and for good reason. Once again the food and service was great and we enjoyed every minute of a super evening. Congrats to Mark and crew!

Wonderful. Great Happy Hour at the Bar!

By SparkyandtheMrs |

One of our favorites in San Antonio, both for the quality of the food and service, as well as the romantic ambiance. We went there for my wife's birthday in October and loved it! The service was impeccable; our server was friendly and efficient. The food was top quality; we found it to be comparable to Bohanan's, and the steak was much better than Ruth's Chris (so was the whole ambiance of the place). My wife had the chicken, and it was delicious and flavorful. I had the steak and it was perfectly cooked to order. The sides are generous and enough to share. They even brought a decent-sized birthday cake to the table for my wife, after the server had asked us if we'd prefer to have it there or take it home with us! That was a really nice touch, and it would have been enough for 4-6 people. The happy hour at the bar is a really good deal, with delicious appetizers for $6, as well as an ever-changing cocktail list.

The owner and the chef together bring the best dinner possible. A must is the lava cake for dessert. It is not to be missed.

Poor Man's Ruth Chris

By 2011hmc2011 |

The time I was there it was just me and my wife. It was very crowed that evening. The Valet Service was no where to be seen. We were seated quickly and prompt service. However they need to seperate large groups from the main floor. There was a very large, loud, drunk table of maybe 20 people in the middle of the place. The wine bottles were too many to count scattered all over the place. The interior was too hot. The service clearly distracted by this large group. I guess that is were the big tip money was that day. The food a bit cold by the time it arrived to us. Nothing special about it with expected fairly good quality. It reminded me of the discription like a poor man's Ruth Chris but with a Bohannan's price tag. Hiow about that music or entertainment? I guess there was but not over the drunks. I would have called it a Roman Orgy but that would be too good. Overall there are far better run steak places with as good and better foods. The term Prime does go with the meats but what about the meet? Is there a Prime ordinary disappontment? Yes there is and it's called Fleming's...

Best Restaurant Ever!

By DietzMac |

We have eaten at Fleming's too many times to count. It is our go to spot when we want excellent service and food. We have NEVER had a problem with the food or service. Whoever runs this restaurant really knows what they are doing. The steak is far superior to Ruth Chris or The Palm. The Fleming's potatoes are to die for. The Calamari is perfect. The wedge salad is the best I have ever tried. Don't forget the Lava cake. Everything is always perfect! I can't say enough about Fleming's.

Good steaks

By eschmutt |

Excellent steaks for high prices. Very friendy waiter. But as in all Flemings air conditioner much too cold. Be sure to take a jackett with you.

Exceptional Valentine's Dinner!

By AMcG |

Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Flemings. My husband took me here for an early Valentine's dinner and it exceeded my expectations. The service was five-star quality, the food was fantastic and the ambiance was great! Everything we ate was exceptional. Even the regular brew after dinner coffee was fantastic! The absolute highlight of the meal was the lava cake...yowza!! This was NOT your run of the mill, chain restaurant lava cake. This was warm, ooey, gooey melt in your mouth decadence! One of the best desserts I've ever tasted hands down. We will definitely be back!

What happened to the service?

By DIANNEJL |

We have been to Fleming's probably six or seven times, always for special occasions - a little out of our price range for regular dining. It's probably been a year since we've been there and went last night for my husband's birthday. Was very disappointed in the service as that has been one of the main things we have raved about to friends when talking about the restaurant. We had 7:30 reservations, arrived on time and were seated immediately but unfortunately down hill from there. We had reserved online for the Filet Mignon/crab stuffed shrimp featured special. The menu online had a suggested wine pairing and when our drink order was taken I asked for the wine that was featured and the waiter told me he had no idea what I was talking about "they don't tell us that stuff" is what he told me so I asked for a moment to review the wine list and he left the table for quite a period of time before returning for our drink order. Water and bread was brought during our wait. The filet mignon was very good and perfectly cooked, the shrimp was OK...a little dry and nothing special. Service wasn't at all like we've had in the past, I wouldn't say bad more like lower scale average, it's just that it has been impeccable during our previous visits. A manager did come refill our water, but no offer of more wine or bread - empty plates sat in front of us for a long time. Dessert was offered shortly after we received our meals but no coffee or after dinner drink was offered at the end, and by the end we were ready to leave. Since there are usually several people assigned as wait staff to each table it makes me think that this is a decline in overall service not just one particular person. I will choose another place for our next special occasion and that is too bad - they had a good thing there but obviously something has changed.

Great steak place

By Brian B |

Wife and I each had the main filet mignon, she ordered medium rare and mine was ordered medium. They gave us each other's, which was quickly realized and I swapped the hot plates. Mine was a little past medium, and overall it was rather dry for a medium filet mignon. Side of Brussels sprouts was excellent, hope they did not use too much bacon fat. Both had creame brûlée for dessert, our favorite, and it was large and delicious. Service was fine for a large group on Saturday night.

Great place for a group business meeting

By NiftyGrammy |

Went to a presentation in a private meeting room with about 50 people. The presentation was great but the food, service, and privacy was fantastic! Included impeccable QUIET service during the meeting. Our glasses were never empty. Had small salad perfectly dressed. Hate those salads that drip dressing. Followed with fresh baked bread and two of the best flavored butters I have ever had. Followed with a boneless chicken breast with wing joint attached. A special touch using French technique. The chicken was perfectly cooked, perfectly moist and hot. I don't know how they did it. The potatoes were creamy with small chunks of potato. Perfect! Included some al dente haricot vert. Dessert was a luscious creamy cheesecake. I was happy with the presentation and the meal. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to impress attendees to meetings.
