Good stuff! Came here with some colleagues for dinner, food was perfect, service was great. It is a bit pricey, but high quality. Looking forward to the Dallas location!

My wife and I were recently in San Diego to see a couple of baseball games. We were on a short time line for dinner. We ended up at Fleming’s bar area for a quick dinner during happy hour. Fleming’s is obviously a very nice restaurant. The happy hour menu was terrific and reasonably priced. We had filet minion sandwich’s with French fries and a couple of drinks for about $60.00. The service was great and the meal was very nice. If time is an issue and you want a very nice quick meal this is the place.

I really enjoyed this place a lot going two times in a week; first with friends and then with family. Steaks and food are excellent. Service is superb.

We had a great night! Large group so it was a bit crowded but fun was had by all. Service was outstanding. Very fast and attentive. The food was spectacular. Sea Bass to Steak as well as the sides we all delivered and cooked to perfection. Thanks!

When we were first seated our table was near a rather noisy family and we thought about leaving. We asked the server if a quieter table was available and after checking found a very nice location away from the noise. We are sure glad we didn’t just leave, because the food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. The prices are on the higher end, but are worth every penny. We will be back.

First of all, we received a call early in the day confirming our reservation. That was nice. After we get there, we were told we couldn't be seated until most of our party was there. Fine, I get that. After ALL of us were there, we were told our table wasn't even ready after all. Funny, it's a small place. We could see the entire dining room from the waiting area. Why didn't they just tell us that from the start? We could've gone into the bar to wait instead of being told our large party was "in the way" and could we move away from the door. They do realize how small their waiting area is? Right? But the waiter was great, the service, while slow, was good. Good drinks.

We made a reservation here for a business meeting and wow what a surprise, amazing steakhouse the ribeye juicy and delicious perfect term. Recommended!!

I stopped by as a walk in and after being greeted by Rebecca, she stated that they had several reservations and the wait would probably be about an hour. Of course I was bummed out and after a minute or two of looking into things Rebecca had a table for me. GREAT! Pete was my server and he was very friendly and provided great service. The young man that came to my table at first was nice as well, can't remember his name, just that he has blonde/light brown hair and that he was from Davie, Fl. The food was exactly what I hoped for. Crab cakes were great, Rib eye was phenomenal, I don't care for lobster but ordered it anyway just to try some from a different city. I didn't like it, but don't take that to heart as I really just don't care for lobster. I had the lava cake for dessert and it was delicious!!!! Ladies, try the moscato, you won't regret it. Thanks for the great service!

Service was exceptional and staff was very knowledgeable and attentive, however, our food was delivered and it was not hot. We were a big group, but the sides were really cold and entrees were lukewarm. I ordered scalloped potatoes and they were served cold and clumpy rather than hot and gooey--was unacceptable. We ordered a lot of seafood appetizers, all cold and everyone loved the the shellfish. Bacon appetizer is really good, as well as the calamari. The creamed spinach was good, but it wasn't served hot.

So, we stopped for happy hour... mistake. Why ask the temperature of a burger if you cook it the way the chef likes it? Medium rare, red and juicy not gray and dry. Carpaccio, so fatty and thick. The carpaccio was cut way too thick to even be called carpaccio. The fat lines overtook the beef. No quality control...yuk! Look at pic. We do not return or complain because you never know what the cook does. Very, very disappointed with tonights meal.

Don't waste your time or money 752578425 Everyone is under pressure. I get that. I ordered Easter dinner for 3 for 5:30 delivery, and was told to expect 6:00 because of kitchen delays. Fine. 6:15, no food, no update, no one answering the phone, 6:30, no food, no update, no one answering the phone 6:45, no food, no update, no one answering the phone 7:00, no food, no update, no one answering the phone 7:15, no food, no update, no one answering the phone 7:30, no food, no update, no one answering the phone 7:45, nothing, Nada, zippo. Oh, but there is a charge on the Amex card. Reported for fraud.

Very classically tone perfect dining room and music (where you can hear yourselves talk and enjoy). The food was amazing. The filet can be cut with a fork, and the Chef Table rack of Lamb was to die for. Added the Fleming potatoes (casserole style) and the Brussel Sprouts with bacon (in a hint of balsemic vinaigrette) and you have the perfect dinner. Our wait staff was also equally excellent and attentive. Even the Manager, Paul, stopped by to greet us and delivered some special birthday truffles (along with our Chocolate Lava cake) desert for my birthday outing. Truly exceptional place. Highly recommend this for a not to be missed San Diego dining experience.

We live in downtown SD and have walked by Flemings many times. We did not know how large the inside was as it takes up the corner and has underground valet parking. We made reservations for first night of restaurant week. We were able to preview the RW menu and had an idea of what we were getting. We arrived for our 4:30 reservations and were rewarded by beating the crowd big time. The interior is beautiful and spacious compared to the outside appearance. We both ordered the RW filet and lobster. RW had it at $50 and regular price was $55. Jennifer, our waitress, was fantastic and made perfect recommendations. Both our filets were the absolute best we've had. Perfectly cooked to medium rare and an obvious prime cut. The lobster was a medium size tail which was cooked properly and very tasty. To summarize we weren't sure going in how this would be but RW brought us in to try. We were not disappointed and called it fabulous. 5* ratings are very rare for me.

Went there looking to get good meat and we found much more. The burrata was to kill for. Wine selection great. Look for David K for ur waiter. Nice guy, very helpful and makes good suggestions. At the end meat was great, alongside all the rest. Sure bet if u want to have a nice dinner.

I have been to this place multiple times. Fleming's is pretty solid and they keep their franchise consistent. I am not a huge fan of chains but I have to say that Fleming's keep their quality pretty good. Last time I went they had a bone-in filet that was perfectly cooked and had the right amount of salt. I will definitely go back for that again. Other dishes are good, some steaks are great.

I took my fiancé here for her birthday. The food was excellent. Sadly, the service was not. Our server was not very attentive and his coworkers were the ones refilling our drinks and cleaning our table. They did give my fiancé a birthday card which was nice. Per the reviews, we saw that they normally hand out a box of birthday chocolates. We also watched the manager give a box of birthday chocolates to the neighboring table. My fiancé did not get any. There was also an error on our bill but the manager was able to fix that. I’m not sure if our server Benjamin was having an off night but overall I do wish the service was better as the reviews raved about it and we didn’t feel that was the case tonight. Would have expected more for a birthday occasion that the restaurant knew about well ahead of time when we made the reservations.

Hey its Flemings so you know its a good meal. But this one in SD is not as good as other Flemings I've been too. Service was spotty and the salmon can be skipped. The seafood appetizer was quite good though.

This is an old-school restaurant with excellent steaks and seafood. The interior is small and tables are close together. Most side dishes are not included with the entree. Desserts are excellent. They have a large wine list (but the bar doesn't offer mezcal!). Service is top notch. Reservations are recommended and parking can be tight but valet service is available.

Great atmosphere, outstanding service, excellent food. This has become our 'go to' place for special occasions because the food and service have always been top notch. We booked a table not realizing it was Father's Day. In spite of the crowds the food and service were both excellent.

Fleming's is a fine example of a well run upscale steakhouse that is very convenient to the convention center and marina district. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Noise level was moderate allowing for good conversation. Entrees are what you would expect from a good steakhouse. Steaks came out to order. Good size sides were flavorful complements to the meal. One of our party did actually have a fish dish but was very happy as well. Not an inexpensive night out but no more than you would expect for a quality steakhouse. Will definitely return.

Wife, daughters and myself visited Feming's for the first time, very excited for what we expected. Dissapointing! One of my daughters asked for shrimp and scallops with sauce on the side, they brought them with sauce on the food and shrimp was overcooked. I asked for lobster tempura, tempura was over greasy and for that reason will easily come off. Tuna and boneless ribs were good. I don't expect a pricy restaurant as this one should have this kind of flaws.

That was extremely disappointing! I flew to San Diego to attend a friend's graduation, and we went out to eat. The waiter drops a candle dipped in hot butter all over the back of my dress! I needed to use the restroom to clean up, and no waiter attempted to cover my back! I have to walk by everyone on my way to the restroom when my lower back is wet! You have no idea how embarrassing that is! A waiter assisted me in washing my dress in the restroom, but because it was butter, it wouldn't come off easily, and my back clothing was all wet from cleaning. I asked if they could wash my dress and change my clothes because I had extra outfits, but they weren't fancy, and we had plans after dinner. The waiter claimed she could wash my clothing because she lived nearby, and her supervisor agreed, but after I changed, they decided they couldn't. It took a long time for the manager to arrive and resolve the problem. He stated that there was no available laundry to do the service, apologized, stated that he would compensate, and stated that he would communicate after we ate. I've told them I don't care about the compensation, but I need them to mend my dress because it's the dress I'm supposed to wear that night, and they need to clean it as soon as possible because the longer they wait, the more the stain will become permanent. Furthermore, why did they lie about the waiter being able to wash, just to change their minds later? It had been a pretty disappointing evening! Because they aren't even taking any action, I have to go to the bathroom and clean it alone, and no one checks on me. I don't want to make a huge deal because it's my friend's family's graduation. Even though no one had checked on me, the restaurant was about to close and my friend was waiting outside but no one came to follow up on me about the situation. Also, when I returned home and washed my clothes, the stain remained. As a result, I do not suggest the establishment. It's a pricey and fancy restaurant, but the service is terrible! Imagine if it was a renowned person who received that.

Upon arriving in San Diego I searched Trip Advisor to find a good steakhouse within walking distance from my hotel. I found Fleming's restaurant and decided to give them a try. The steak was prepared perfectly to my medium-rare liking. The Fleming's potatoes were amazing and the brussel sprouts were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The waiters were very attentive....just what we would hope for in a finer steakhouse. It was worth every penny in my opinion. As this was my first time visiting a Fleming's, I have been to a Mortons, and I would definitely go back to Fleming's over Morton's any day.

First of all the place was too dark and really cold we asked to have the air conditioning lowered but didn’t.... We had salad without bread they took some bread later on...the wine wasn’t of quality...the french fries dark and overcooked... wouldn’t say anything about the dessert ... uneatable .... I definitely don’t recommend eating here...

Went there with a group of approximately 12 during a recent conference. The waitstaff expertly handles us. I had a couple bourbon old fashioneds and they were well done. We took part in their three course meal which includes a filet and a choice of crab or lobster. So good. Highly recommend.

We have previously enjoyed dining at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in San Diego, but our recent Thanksgiving visit was unfortunately disappointing. I ordered a steak that arrived undercooked. After waiting approximately 10 minutes to find our server, I informed them, and they offered to replace it. However, during the wait for the new steak, my potatoes and vegetables became cold. When the steak was returned, it was evident that the same piece had been reheated, with about 30% of the steak missing. This was unacceptable, and I requested a new correctly cooked steak along with fresh sides. After an additional 20-minute wait, I received a well-done steak, but only half the potatoes and no vegetables. I still didn't request my steak to be well-done, I request middle well. To make matters worse, the bill included charges for three steaks, even though only two of us ordered steak, and the other two people at our table ordering chicken and fish. When I raised this issue, the server/manager merely apologized. In hindsight, we should have chosen to dine at The Marine Room in La Jolla. We paid approx. $400 for dinner. We then had to go to Denny's for me to get food on Thanksgiving.

The wife and I topped in for a quick bite at the BEST happy hour in SoCal last week. I ordered the calamari and a Prime burger for us along wth their happy hour Cabernet. Service and food were excellent (although the burger was a bit too salty). Flemings knows how to treat customers and makes you want to stay longer and come back sooner. You will not find a happy hour that is a better value in my opinion.

We had a business dinner in their private room. The staff was great in helping us prepare, and the food and service was excellent. The servers carrying multiple plates were definitely impressive! Would definitely recommend!

This is a very nice steakhouse in the heart of the San Diego tourist scene. It is extremely comfortable and welcoming. The bar isn’t bad—for a steak house I thought it would have more of a selection of bourbons—however its wine list is very nice. I had a fillet mignon that was cooked to perfection and it was so tender you could have cut it with the proverbial butter knife. Service is excellent and they are very accommodating.

Service was ok, but the meat was overcooked. It was a wast of our money. We are not going there again.

they have roses on table when you arrive, free glass of champagne which was excellent. the food was SO GREAT! Steaks cooked to our order were perfect and the Flemings potatoes are a must. They topped it off with a card saying Happy Anniversary and a box of truffles! Cannot wait to go back.

The service was excellent. The taste of the food was ok but not worth what you are paying for. The customer is overcharged for the service that is provided. I will not return.

Had an awesome dinner here with a very large group of co-workers. Service was excellent and super fast. Wait staff was on their A game with beverages continuously and non-stop food all evening. Food was amazing.

Was in SD on business and dined at Fleming's with a colleague from Germany, who always goes to steakhouses in the US, since such cuts of meat are not available to him at home. To cut to the chase, we agreed that the NY strip may have been the best either of us have ever had. Also great atmosphere, excellent service and very nice wine fairly priced (as for a taste if you're undecided on a wine by the glass). Very good martini. Great place for a splurge/special occasion in San Diego.

The filet I got was really good. Caesar salad was great. The sides I got were underwhelming, but to be fair it was a large group. Fleming Potatoes and asparagus were pretty good. I’d skip their Mac and cheese and calimari. Get more steak instead!

Great steak, service and atmosphere. Shrimp cocktail was amazing, steak cooked to perfection and potatoes wonderful. Dessert was cream brûlée and fruit, wonderful.

Simply the title. Angus Burger absolutely perfect, well cooked (ordered medium-rare). Nice variety of draugh beer. Prize average

We went to Flemings to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We made reservations & were seated the moment we entered the door. The service was excellent. Everyone from the waitress to the manager wished us a happy anniversary. The complimentary champagne was very nice. The wagyu steak & pork chop melts in your mouth. The manager gave us a complimentary box of truffles.....yum. If you want to do steak right, come here.

In town for conference and put a group of friends together for dinner at Flemings....great service by David, wonderful ribeye, salads and sides. Very clubby atmosphere and cool bar.

Went to dinner with some business partners and their spouses. Party of 11. The service was spot on and the food and drink was incredible. Don’t be worried about the Resturant being a chain. They kicked tail with our group and the manager even visited with us for awhile. Great, great meal.

My husband, daughter, and granddaughter had dinner at Fleming's to celebrate our daughter's 28th birthday. We ordered the following: New Wedge salad, 1 French Onion soup, 1 Bone in Ribeye, 2 Petite Filets, 1 child filet, 1 Fleming;s Potatoes, 1 Mac and Cheese, an order of mashed potatoes, 2 glasses of wine, 1 iced tea, 1 creme brulee, 1 cheesecake, and an apple juice. Total with tax was 314.62. Our waiter was attentive and cordial, but not the friendliest waiter we have had. Oh well, maybe he was having a bad day. He did a good job though; he was efficient. The manager came over to our table to see if everything was okay. He presented a card and a small box of chocolate truffles to our daughter. VERY NICE! All in all, Fleming's is a great place to eat well. I really like their wine selection and the bread with sides that they serve before one receives appetizers and entrees. The only complaint I have is that they no longer have madeira steak sauce as an option..disappointed that sauce was AWESOME!

We've eaten at many excellent steak restaurants around the country and this is not in the top 10, and maybe not even in the top 5 for San Diego. Food was fine, but the steaks did not have the flavor nor tenderness one comes to expect from a $50.00 + steak or cut of prime rib. The salad was massive and very good as was the appetizer we split both and it was more than enough. The comfortable old fashioned decor was inviting and warm. The service could not have been better, from the bus people, our server to the manager--made the dinner quite enjoyable. Corkage fee only $25. Even with the wine we brought dinner for two was well over $100.00 plus the tip. Full bar and great wine list. If you've got only one night there are better steak houses in town.

Either you're rich, or its a special occasion. Either way, it's an experience you won't easily forget. 2 ppl $160, no alchohol. I withhold the 5th star. Our shrimp and bacon appetizer comes with 2 jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon. However, the shrimp still had the vein in them. I totally lost my appettite. At this level, I was surprised they didn't take the time to de-vein them. The rest of the meal quickly made it easy to forget. Unbelievably delicious.

Crab cakes, onion rings, lobster tails and rib eye were all excellent and cooked to perfection. Our server was great, and the food arrived so quickly, it was almost like fast food. The city was bustling due to a major convention and the pace of the delivery seemed to detract from the usual anticipation that heightens the senses at a great steakhouse. But, I would come here again and it was directly across the street from our hotel.

We had reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. It was our anniversary we were greeted with rose peddles on our table, complimentary Champagne a card signed by the staff and the manager gave a box of truffles before we left. This was our first time at Fleming's and it just happened to be Prime Tomahawk Tuesday special menu for two. Our diner was excellent..

Happy Hour at Fleming's is one of our favorite places when visiting the Gaslamp. Delicious, fresh and the wine. Best deal in town.

Fleming's can't be beat for excellent steaks, cooked to perfection, a top notch wine list and attentive but not intrusive service. Whenever I'm in San Diego, this is definitely one of my go-to restaurants

I frequently dine at high-end steakhouses like Capital Grille, Mortons, etc. This is by far the WORST steakhouse meal I have ever had. We started with the wedge salad which was very poor, with what appeared to have microwaved bacon. For the main course I selected the $74 dry-aged ribeye, which was absolutely terrible. It was chewy, really thin, and was not even close to the 16 oz that was described on the menu. I had asparagus on the side which was atrocious, totally overcooked and limp, and poor quality to start. Prices were very high, as expected, but the value was completely absent. I've had much better steak and other sides at pubs or lower-quality places like Outback. I'm not kidding. It was that bad. Service was OK, nothing special. I STRONGLY recommend you go to Ruth's Chris or another steakhouse if you are in San Diego.

Here for a conference and having dinner with my college going goddaughter, she wanted to go to a steakhouse. This was a great choice near the conference center, downtown area, nearby to Marriott, Hilton, Omni and several other hotels. There are several other "walk-in" steak restaurants in the gas lamp district that are probably much cheaper, but the service, food and recommended blue lemon drop drink and chocolate lava cake were absolutely delicious. We made our reservation through open table and were seated 15 minutes early upon our arrival with no problem. Will definitely return when we are back in San Diego!

The service was top notch including having not 1 but 2 managers stop by to make sure the birthday celebration was a success. I enjoyed receiving a card signed by the birthday staff along with a box of the most amazing chocolates. I will definitely return the next time I'm in town.

We made a 5 pm dinner reservation so we could make the Symphony at 7:30 knowing that it was the start of Comic Com. Parking around this location is bad on a good night and almost impossible when a big event is in town. Fleming valet parking while costing $12 is a great parking safety net. We were seated in a booth by the window. It was very noisy I believe due to convention attendees who seemed to use outside voices, loud! Our server Rafi was very good. We started with a very good Manhattan for me and a Blueberry Lemon Drop that she said was excellent. We shared a excellent take on the classic Caesar salad. Different but really good. My wife had the petit Filet and I had the bone in Filet. We shared Crispy Brussel Sprouts. My steak was a bit over done so somewhat dry. However both steaks were excellent as were the Brussel Sprouts. This is not a thrifty dining experience but if you like really good steak you will leave a winner.

This particular Fleming's location is very convenient for Padres games. The valet costs $12.00, which beats the price of parking anywhere in the neighborhood. I have eaten there at a number of occasions. The service is decent. My complaint would be that it can be "overly familiar." On my most recent visit, I ordered the rib eye steak. My parents owned a cattle ranch and I know something about beef. The steak I was served was hard to cut, tough to chew and had no flavor. Marbeling was non-existent. I have heard that, with fish, restaurants sometimes make less expensive substitutions. This steak had to be from another part of the cow (a shoulder steak?) or from a cow who grew up in a hot, dry place and got a lot of exercise. I was with a friend. He ordered fish. It was fine. The total cost of our meal, with tax and tip and just water to drink, was over $175.00. While the meal was not a disaster, at that price, the value is just not there. I contrast this with a meal I had at this Fleming's location with my daughter about a year ago. Something has changed and not for the better. I should add, the following night, I grilled rib eye steaks which had been purchased at a local Von's. They were everything that a rib eye steak should be and that the Fleming's rib eye steak was not.

Very bad experience. We had made reservations for 6 pm ( and arrived a few mins early - so had a drink at the bar while waiting)" Bartender service was slow as the waiters watched the Padres game. Once at our table, we mentioned we had the Beach Boys concert in 90 mins (across the street by Convention center). But the dinner only came out to our table after 85 mins - over cooked medium steaks were dry and tough. Our baked potatoes were brought out 14 mins after our Filet Mignon (they forgot them). Better food and experiences at Outback. And the bill was > $250 for a couple. Won't be going back.

The atmosphere and the service is exactly what you would expect for a great steakhouse Location is right down the street from the convention center The steaks are cooked to perfection and are tasty so no complaints when it comes to the steaks The sides are wonderful. The lobster Mac and cheese is with the calories and you just can’t stop eating eat The 2 spreads that come with the bread will also have you consuming carbs as they are also tasty Of course all at a price. Entrees with no sides range from mid $40 to over $60 so close your eyes to the prices and enjoy

There really arent any surprises here. Its a terrific steak house. Its not a modern fusion spot with flowing neon lights and dancers jumping from rafter to rafter. Its a proven, high quality reaturaunt that has been doing its thing for years and years. You will not be dissapointed.

Wow! This Flemings really has it dialed in! We have been going to the Newport Beach location for 10+ years on a regular basis, but not so much recently, as the several new managements have led to a huge decline in food quality and preparation. BUT THIS SAN DIEGO LOCATION IS AMAZING. Food was spot on. Preparation was phenomenal. Service was fast, concise, and not so ridiculously snobby as Newport Beach. Incredible food quality, incredible preparation, very fast and accurate service, even with my huge list of special requests. What else do you want! Other restaurants should close for a week and spend that time watching this location to learn how they do it!

My wife and I enjoyed the service as well as the food. We had a small private room for our group. The service was wonderful we both had nicely cooked steaks. We would enjoy eating here again if in town

Was sat very quickly and had a very attentive server. Everything was very good. I was put off a bit by the loud table next to us but otherwise a very good experience.

Overall an excellent restaurant. Not too stuffy, not too casual, not too loud. Great food. Great service. As usual I’ll rate things I tried 1-10 scale, but everything was excellent except for the Caesar salad which was rather tasteless and dry. Crab Cakes 9.0, Caesar 5.5, Fleming’s potatoes 9.5, Asparagus 8.0, Bone In Filet 8.5 cooked perfectly, Bernaise sauce 7.5, Diablo Shrimp topping 8.0, Lava Cake 9.0, Old Fashion drink 8.0. It was quite expensive though. Would highly recommend if price not prohibitive.

I have never experienced this kind of service at any restaurant I have been to. I done at many fine dining restaurants and the way the waiter ignored me and treated me like I was a 2nd class person shocked me. I took one of my employees out to dinner we were both dressed up he was in a full suit and I was in slacks and a dress shirt. The waiter came to take our drink order and as my employee went to order and ask for recommendation he help with that as I go to place my order he walks off does not even look at me or ask my drink order. I say something to my employee I'm with and he didt notice so when the waiter comes back he talks with Him again and helpful to him I go to order and get this brushed off order. Now my employee looks at me and goes what was that? So now I see him go over to other tables and be very friendly and spend time with them. Now comes time to order he is very nice to my employee again but brushes me off again for my order. At this point I want to just leave cause now I feel like they don't want me there. So I just order a small plate to be able to eat and leave. I have never seen such bad service and can say I will never recommend this place to any of my guest or friends. Do your self a favor and try a better place in San Diego like Graystones or Cowboy Star.

Fleming’s is an authentic steakhouse that stands the test of time. Service is first rate with adequate staffing to spoil every table, yet provide plenty of opportunities for private or intimate conversations. The booths are comfy and the linen table tops provide a higher level of class, that would is only surpassed by their food! We had steaks, but there were numerous choices on the menu. I have to eat gluten free as I noted on my Open Table reservation and I was met by a friendly hostess who provided an impressive gluten free menu for me and a regular menu for my spouse. The waitress answered all questions and was knowledgeable in all menu offerings. Our cocktails- a margarita and a vodka/cran were both refreshing and arrived just before our fresh shrimp cocktail served on a bed of ice with cocktail sauce and horseradish. We both had the filet mignon, mine 8oz and my husband’s was 11 oz., both topped with lump crab meat and bernaise sauce. The best description is melt in your mouth med rare beef, with a luscious crab doused with bernaise, butter lemon and white wine, yummy!! The steaks were placed on top of asparagus spears and as if we didn’t have enough, we ordered sides of mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. Not a bad bite was to be found during our dinner adventure and of course dessert was its own fantasy food experience. As after dinner espresso arrived so did our chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream and whipped Chantilly cream… our reaction to first bites… “oh my… WOW!” It was the ultimate ending to an outstanding dining experience!

Went in with friends to have a great meal, started off with crab cakes and oysters for the table, not a fan of either. I had a 22 oz dry aged rib eye bone in filet. What a piece of meat, cooked to perfection. We also got mushrooms, scallop potatoes and king crab legs for the table. No dessert, could hardly move after dinner. Staff was great, atmosphere was perfect. great place.

No question, the best happy hour in San Diego. Capricious, calamari and burgers are awesome accompanied by a pretty good list of discounted wines. All this and a bar staff that remembers who you are!

Pete our waiter did a magnificent job for our table. Food delivered hot and exactly as we ordered. We had a well behaved 7 year old with us. Kids menu was presented just as we sat down so we could get some food ordered ASAP for the young man. Great food selections, our steaks were cooked to perfection of our requests. Check out the chocolate lava cake for desert but you must order it in advance to avoid timely bake time. Onion Soup was awesome with lots of great cheese. Go and enjoy in beautiful downtown San Diego, CA.

Come in for a late dinner with my partner. Booking was at 2130 (9:30) from the moment i walked in i was not impressed by the greeting. The young lady did not seemed to interested. I was then left standing for a couple of minutes wile they got a table for us with no interaction from her. Another lady then walked us to our table. From there our waiter was great. Cant remeber his name but he was from England. My girlfriend ordered the special which was a big steak that come with crab meat and asparagus. I ordered the ribe eye bone in. I asked mine to be cooked at medium rear and my girlfriend asked medium to well. When the meals come out she was given the wrong meal with no asparagus and crab meat. The waiter took it back and come back with the right one. Mine come out and was cooked to a medium well and my girlfriend was medium rear. Although nice as you would expect for $55/57. We then ordered a cream Brulée. It looked great however was not set and was runny. I mention this to the waiter. She agreed. I then ordered a coffee and this was extremely hot and i had to add cold water to it to cool it to a drinkable temperature. This review is a little negative but only little things which if adressed can easly be fixed. Thank you for having us for dinner.

Visiting San Diego for the Labor Day weekend and stopped at FLEMMINGS for dinner and God as my witness, I cannot remember a meal that was as decadent as it was superbly delicious. I had the Main Fliet which is 12oz of unimaginable, buttery heaven on a plate, along with a side of Yokon Gold mashed potatoes with herbs mixed in I cannot believe I am living to tell the delish tale. I finished my meal with the absolutely other worldly creme-brulee. Though this was a weight off my wallet it it was is and will always be totally worth it. Also Chris the Manager is exceptionally vigilant in making sure all customers are taken care of and making sure the staff is efficiently moving forward. - A.G.

We visited Fleming’s during a conference in town. We were in for a genuine steak. And We surely got that. We took the New York prime. And what a peace of mest. And the sides ..... these onion rings is without comparison the best I have ever ever had. Super delicious. Unfortunately they did not have the Wine We wanted But came up with an exelent replacement A little pricy but worth it.

I don't know how this steakhouse got 4.5 stars reviews based on my personal dining experience in this restaurant on 1/2/2019. My husband, my son and I went to try out this steakhouse out of curiosity because we love steaks and my aunt gave us a $200 gift card for Christmas. We heard so much about how incredibly expensive to dine in this steakhouse from friends. So, we assumed they must have the most delicious steaks that melted in your mouth in addition to its upscale interior atmosphere. Since I am reviewing the "steak" house, which solely based on the food/meat, not the interior atmosphere and service. I will give the quality of "Tomahawk" steak we ordered (cost $91.00) a One star. It's a 35 oz (2.18 lbs) steak including a bone, which is basically the length of a forearm. The bone weight literally one pound just by itself. I don't mind we only left with approximately 1.2 pound meat to share if the quality of the steak is superb. Unfortunately, 2/10 of the meat part is purely fat, which needed to be discarded. The rest edible meat part is chewy due to full of vein/muscle. We waited 20 minutes for our food to come after we placed the order and finished them in 20 minutes. It's not because we gobbled up in speedy fashion but because the portion of each dish was pitifully small! We ordered a total of $158 among the 35 oz Tomahawk steak $91 with two very expensive side dishes: a less than a pound tiny Lobster tail $18, and a plate of 10 asparagus $14; two appetite dishes: two tiny crab patties $22, and a few lumps of crab meat with 4 asparagus $13. I would give the food two stars if the quality, presentation and flavor of the dishes were great but regrettably to say, all dishes tasted plain, which only with salt, pepper and oil; the asparagus, lobster, steak quality were mediocre at best where the inexpensive Diner might be able to compete. We just took a two weeks vacation to Mediterranean on Celebrity cruise, their choices of steaks, such as Prime rib, T-bone, Filet Mignon, Sirloin steak, and beef tenderloin, at dining room were tender and melted in your mouth, best of all, they were free at every dinner and with a much bigger edible portion than this $91 Tomahawk steak. As far as the restaurant atmosphere and services, I would only give 4 stars because of a little girl was allowed to lying on three chairs pulled up together sleeping like in an airport. It's just disappointed to see such "upscale and expensive" restaurant be felt like in a cheapo one.

We try to go here every time we are in San Diego because we love it. We love the ambiance, the food is amazing, the service is impeccable and they have a great wine list and bar. Their meat is always cooked to perfection and all the sides are yummy!!! Would always go back!!

My wife and I just happened to be in SD for a few hours, and I had a $100 Gift Cert for Fleming's. So we thought we should be able to get a table for only 2 people at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. While this is certainly not prime dinner time, we were told there were no available tables for 2 for the entire evening! I found this surprising. However, they do allow you to wait for a couple seats the bar, where the full menu is still available for dinner. I like sitting at the bar anyways, so this worked fine. We don't drink wine or eat steak (I know, why am I at Fleming's, gift card remember). So we had Calamari (Best on the planet)/ Wedge salad (Awesome), and Sea Bass (Cooked to perfection)!

The service was impeccable, the martinis delicious and ice cold. I mentioned it was my mother's 70th birthday when I made the reservation, and to our surprise, when they greeted us, they looked at my mom and said "Happy Birthday!" Every plate we ordered was delicious. At the end of the evening, our server brought a birthday card to my mom with truffles. Worth the prices. I will be back for MY birthday! Did I mention they have a huge selection of wines by the glass, and their drink menu is very modern easy to read iPad! Super cool.

Above average. We were able to eat and fit everyone in to a private area in the back. The food was hot and excellent. We were a bit noisy but it was OK. LOL

I ended up not eating here as the menu was a bit limited. The wine list by the glass is nice and the staff was friendly, too

Fleming's is one of our "go to" restaurants for special occasions and once again we had the best experience ever. From the exceptional service to dishes as good as ever, we enjoyed our entire evening at this magical place.

Went here as part of a large group for business dinner. The wait staff was very conscientious and helpful. It was an elegant meal- prepared and presented beautifully! And the taste was wonderful! No complaints. Would love to go back .

Flemings is all that. Probably the best steak house in all of San Diego and that's saying a lot because there's some stiff competition. First of all, the service is first class with a cheerful and helpful staff that goes out of their way to make it a classy dining experience. But, it all starts and ends with the food and in this case steaks. I am a carnivore and come from a family of carnivores, as are our friends. Great steaks are always cooked or bar-b-qued at home and are sought out in great restaurants so being outdone is a hard task. Fleming's does it with delicious cuts always cooked to perfection. I/ we love a perfect steak, seared on the outside to lock in the incredibly juicy meat inside, always the same color top to bottom and all the way through. Yes....this place is a winner. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Great service, waiters where very attentive and friendly. Steaks were prepared to our requests, wonderful side dishes that you can easily share. It was very easy to find parking even though it was downtown San Diego. There was plenty of paid lots along with street parking.

Our steaks were perfectly grilled, flavorful and served up medium rare, as requested, with melted butter on top. Our sides included crispy (not greasy) onion rings, fries and garlicky mushrooms. We closed with a luscious pumpkin cheesecake and gooey-good dark chocolate lava cake. Service was efficient and attentive from the lobby bar to the table.

I'm a fan of Flemings. My steak was perfect, the drink are tasty and the wine is good. Great wine selection. I had the Filet cooked med. YUM. they have great sides and I had the creme brûlée. yes yes yes. We were here for a business dinner. I think we had about 25 to 30 people with us and everyone said they were so happy with the meal. Loved the private room and the service.

Thank you for your Good Service for my family. And I personally enjoyed your complimentary bread. More power!!!🩷🩷🩷👍👍👍

Nothing special about the steaks - non existent selection of grass fed, prime, dry aged steaks. Wine list was generally over-priced. Seafood was mostly of the cheap variety ... we are in San Diego, and they have atlantic farm raised salmon? I'd stay away.

We both had the filet Mignon and shared the mushrooms and asparagus. All were fabulous! Service was equally good. The dark wood surroundings made for a nice dinner. The chocolate lava cake is a must do for dessert - outstanding! Staff is so friendly! Highly recommend.

Excellent meat and wine choices. Happy hour is a bargain. Get there early because it fills up quickly.

Typical steak house with good service. The meat dishes were outstanding - that's why you cone here for. Seafood starters were not too bad either, lacking taste though (all tasted bland). Side dishes were equally average in preparation, not matching the filets' and rib-eyes' quality. Good place for meat lovers, but rest of dishes are average and overpriced for this quality.

My wife and another couple had dinner here. Amazing!! Both my wife and my friend's wife have food allergies. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable and really made us feel comfortable. In addition, after we ordered, the manager stopped by our table and let us know he was aware of our needs and would ensure things were prepared properly. This extra step means the world to people whose health is dependent on food preparation. Once our meals arrived, the food was prepared flawlessly and tasted great. We will 100% be dining here each time we visit San Diego.

We stopped in for dinner because it was within walking distance to the hotel. On the plus side, the restaurant is an elegant, special occasion restaurant with mature and professional wait staff. Because we weren't overly hungry, we requested to split one meal which they did without a fuss. The prime rib we ordered came well done instead of medium rare. The salad lacked dressing which made it uneventful and had pieces of browned lettuce which we picked out. The house potatoes were very good and the creme brulee was excellent. In fairness, if we had brought our opinions up to the attention of the waiter, I'm sure he would have taken care of them. However, we were tired after a long day and didn't want to prolong the evening further. But, for the caliber of restaurant Fleming's presents itself to be, I expected a better food experience.

Service from server to bar to kitchen poor. Server not nearly as attentive as should have been at a pricey steakhouse like this. Bartender made a lousy martini - I asked for Martini, not a dirty one. Kitchen overcooked steak - then sent out another one but the sides came out ten minutes later. And Steak itself was mediocre in comparison to what get at othet quality steak houses. Have been a fan of Flemings up to now. Not anymore

A very pleasant evening, very nice ambience. The meet was excellent, so was the spinach cream and the potato. Nice wine list too. We had a small accident and the waiter managed it perfectly. Will definitely return.

Even though I have been to other Fleming and was happy with the food, service and price. This particular facility was NON of those. Way over priced for what we received.

It is a nice place and the staff is very friendly. The food was nice but the dessert creme brule was just really good.

Top notch, high quality, good food. our party of 6 enjoyed all of our meals. Special note was the pork chop, well worth it. oh yea, and all of the desserts...

Their happy hour is just the right price and perfect offering. It is across the street from the convention center and Marriott Marquis hotel. The food is higher priced but worth every penny.

Even on this Friday evening with its expected crowd, we were seated immediately in a comfortable, cozy table for four. No complaints, but I expected a little more space in this upscale restaurant. Nice atmosphere with dark wood accentuating the design of a steakhouse. Excellent steak selections in our group, including Wagyu New York Strip, Rib-eye and the filet. Salmon with a barbecue glaze concerned me. Our server guaranteed I would not be disappointed and now I would recommend this entrée at Fleming’s. So very good, I didn’t want to share my salmon. As mentioned, Fleming’s was busy, but enjoyable and we will definitely return. Great chef ensured a delicious dining experience. Attentive staffers kept water glasses filled and our server was knowledgeable and interested in the types of entrees and wines we were seeking. Flemings delivered a fine evening. Highly recommended.

We were in a large party of about 30 people when we went to this restaurant, and therefore ate in a separate staff. The size of the party did not faze the staff, who were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the steaks were the best ever. The ths food was hot and steaks perfectly cooked (most of my colleagues had steak). I had the vegetarian dish of portabello mushroom and ravioli which was perfectly presented and very tasty.

My husband and I went here for dinner on a Tuesday night. They have a Rib-eye special for 2 people. We decided to order it. The food was really great. Our cocktails were great as well. The service is as I would expect at a fine dining steakhouse. We were very happy with our drinks, food, dessert and service. We would return if in town again.

Very good steak!! Done and served the right way. Very rich selection of meat and wine. Service is great and very professional. Atmosphere is cosy and lovely. Prices are high.

At a steak house the meat was good quality but they used way too much salt. Last experience there was phenomenal. This time the bummer was the most expensive key item was over salty. There is no going back in that. Also might suggest they filter their tap water for service. Very high amounts of chlorine. The service was good. And thankful they allowed pets. The environment is pub style atmosphere and fine dining.

My brother and I went there following a Padre game. The steak melts in your mouth and was just perfect. The service was phenomenal as well. We felt a bit under dressed but no one held they're nose up to us and we were treated with the utmost respect.

My husband and I had a very memorable and wonderful dinner at this location for our anniversary. The evening was truly perfect from start to finish. My filet was cooked exactly how I ordered it (rare), the Flemings Potatoes were just ridiculously good, I wish I knew how the blue cheese dressing on our wedge salad was made, the waiter was awesome and didn't rush us, and it was an absolutely PERFECT evening.

Geeat Mac and Cheese as well as great roasted brussel sprouts...all of their food is delicious. While there you can't possibly miss out on great craft beer. Their Anaheim and the Carlsbad restaurants just as terrific.

Very good service and food, I enjoy the cesar salad with delicious bread; the steak was Good, with side dish excelnt and even to big ( quality food and food is good service is nice

I'm kind of surprised by the negative reviews. Is it overpriced? Slightly. Should you have to order a la carte on everything? No. is $169 for two people who had 2 Ny Strip, mashed potatoes, asparagus and 2 desserts a bit excessive? Yes. But it was all delicious. The lava cake and creams brûlée are out of this world. My steak was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were yummy. We had 9pm reservations and asked for a booth. At 9pm, promptly, we were seated in a booth. It wasn't too dark or too loud. It was nice. Definitely a good choice for our last night in town.

There are many great steakhouses in San Diego. And I have been to many great steakhouses throughout the country. They all do a superb job with their cuisine and service. They also all do a fine job of honoring reservations. First time at Flemings. And last time. Making us wait 25 minutes after our reservation time is just wrong. I understand that management has a responsibility to the company to generate as much revenue as possible,so try to squeeze as many people as possible into the evening. But they also have a responsibility to their brand to show respect to their customers. They completely failed with that.

Large group business dinner is now what they should be doing Terrible service , incompetent waitstaff Food was ok but nothing to go excited and

My son and I went for dinner. We had the surf and turf special. We really enjoyed everything, the food was great, the service was on point!

Our visit was a pre-theatre and anniversary dinner and it could not have been any better. From the time we were seated we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here. Our server was excellent, was very attentive and ensured our meal was prepared properly and we had everything we needed. The Manager came over twice to ensure things were satisfactory and we were happy and brought champagne to celebrate our anniversary. The meal, filet mignon for me and pork chop for my wife were both cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. This was a relaxing and very classy dining experience and well worth going into downtown San Diego for just the meal. We were very fortunate to find on street parking, but there is a valet directly in front of the restaurant for convenience. Be sure and make reservations if you want to be assured of getting a table, especially on the weekend.

Great steak and sides and an excellent value. My partner and I have small to medium appetites so we always have enough leftovers for a second meal at home!

An old fashioned type restaurant that serves its customers with confidence and pride. They have been doing this for a long time and we were so glad we went there despite our concierge not mentioning it to us . From the minute you walk in , you can sense the atmosphere. Food was excellent and an outstanding wine list . Staff totally on point. It would be a shame to miss this one when in the city.

My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times. They do not disappoint! The last time we had dinner, we ordered the following: Petite Filet, Bone in Ribeye, 1 baked potato, grilled asparagus, 2 orders of their delicious Fleming potatoes, carrot cake, and three cocktails. Total price w/out tip was 240.82..expensive? Sure..but worth it. I love this restaurant and if my husband and I earned better salaries..we would visit more often. Anyhow-if you are a visitor to San Diego and would like to have a very good dinner, good customer service, and a nice ambiance..I would highly recommend Fleming's..we have also been to the Fleming's in Newport Beach..that restaurant is also amazing..

Amazingly cooked steak, quick and constant service, definitely coming back. Food came out quicker than I could even decide what my next order was going to be.

Amazing ... amazing... amazing!!!! Delicious steak, we had the Tomahawk Tuesday special. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Thanks for a wonderful night for me and my wife!!

。Main filet mignon 11oz $59 。Chocolate lava cake $17 。Coke 。San Pellegrino We ordered medium mignon, next time i will order medium-raw. The chocolate lava cake is delicious.

It's been over 3 years since I was last in San Diego, but I knew soon as I was going back that I wanted to revisit this old haunt, I was not dissapointed, the service and the food was as great as I remembered, I am sure to go back the next time I am in town.

Great choice for an excellent steak in San Diego. From tomahawk to New York strip it is just delicious. The wine list is good and affordable.

I had the pleasure of being taken by my son and his wife for dinner at Fleming's and I had a fabulous time. The ambience of the restaurant is elegant, the service was great and the steak was done just right. I was also given chocolate truffles by the waiter for my birthday and this completed the evening celebration. All in all, I had a great night for my birthday.

My mom and I went to Fleming's for happy hour as she has been there before and said she enjoyed it. This was my first time here. No sooner after they opened the bar area was full. They were nice, attentive, and accommodating. I found the happy hour menu limited having ONLY one beer at a lower price. We both had the burger and fries. The burger was delicious but the fries were not very crispy (we love crispy fries)! Even after a refire of the fries they still were not crispy. Now don't get me wrong they were hand cut and would pass for very good fries for most people. Overall, I would not return as there are other choices with more of a variety.

PARTYING MY butt OFF WITH M E COCKTAILS & steak with shrimps Carrot cake wine & song great service good time

We last ate here a year ago. I was given a $50 off coupon so off we went. Parking can be a struggle near the convention center so we valet parked at a cost os $12. We were warmly greeted and seated at a nice booth for 4 people. Very comfortable. Our server was Carlos he was very enthusiastic and attentive. We started with a Manhattan for me and my wife the Rose Margarita and it was outstanding. On Monday nights they have a special for $55 that includes a choice of two different salads, a Petit Filet and a Lobster tail and then a desert. My wife had the Ahi Tuna Poke. She said her dish was average and it was a good sized portion. I had the Caesar salad and shard with my wife. Caesar salads are my favorite salads but this one while fresh had almost nothing in its taste that would suggest it was a Caesar salad. If you like the traditional Caesar do not order this one. My Filet was outstanding, seasoned just right and cooked perfectly. The lobster was also cooked just right and a little lemon juice with drawn butter hit the spot. I picked the carrot cake as my desert and of course shared it with my wife. It was outstanding. I had a nice Calera Pinot Noir. This is not inexpensive dining but for a special occasion it would be an excellent choice.

I have been here twice in the last month with my family of five. I was initially upset they dropped their Sunday Prime Rib meal, but they have added new focus and deals on filet and lobster, or even king crab legs. You also get a scallop starter and a salad, and the total is only $50. We all tried the filet and lobster and it was high quality all the way around. They also have an outstanding wine list and even a good offering of craft beer. For dessert I highly recommend the chocolate lava cake. We will be back soon!

From the moment we arrived, the Staff was amazing. Upon arrival, the hostess, said , Mr S? - Upon my confirmation, we were seated and greeted by an awesome waiter, who was very helpful - After reviewing the menu, while I ordered the dinner, my wife picked the wine for my birthday celebration, She picked a delicious Pinot from the Anderson Valley area of California. While waiting for our order, the absolutely freshest bread was delivered, together w/ two butters - one an absolutely delicious compound butter. The bread was so good, especially w/ the compound butter I think that I would return for that alone. I had the 14 o, z rib-eye, she the Petite Filet, with a side of asparagus to split between us.Both of the steaks were perfectly cooked to our requests an tender enough to, if we had wished, to cut w/our butter knife, The Manager visited us at the table, and presented me w/ a small box of truffles, as a birthday present - the perfect end to a great dinner.

We were a large group & were well served, with all of us eating at the same time. It wasn't the best rib steak I've had but it was decent. The rest of the meal was good, though I should have gone with the crème brulee, instead of the cheesecake! This is located in a pricey tourist zone & the pricing here reflects that. If that isn't a concern, you'll enjoy the food, the service & the location.

After a terrible experience at the Fleming's Rancho Mirage, we were a bit skeptical to accept a recommendation to dine at Fleming's San Diego for our anniversary, but went with the recommendation regardless --- and are we glad we did! Outstanding in every regard. From a most pleasant greeting at the door, to a great server who was engaging and provided solid menu recommendations, to food runners greeting us by name, to the acting senior manager, everything worked. Even a personalized and hand signed Happy Anniversary note from the staff. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was truly that - jumbo, perfect shrimp. Pork belly nicely seared. Filets cooked perfectly to order with some nice burrata and tomatoes on the steak. Nice take on a baked potato, that was extra crispy and sliced. Gelato sandwiched between homemade chocolate cookies was a nice finish. Relaxed pace, clean space, and constant check backs were much appreciated. At the end, a box of homemade chocolate truffles with a $25 gift card to return for another meal. Wow. We travel and eat out very often - and if we happened to be in San Diego more, we'd make this place a weekly regular. Next trip, we'll be back and are telling everyone about it. Very well done! Thanks to everyone who made our event so memorable.

Visited with my fiance, my brother and his friend, first time here. In choosing the wine, I narrowed my selection to a malbec and a red zin. Our server was kind enough to bring samples of each, and hands down, the newly added Frank Family, 2013 zinfandel won the taste test. We ordered petite fillet mignons and the chilaen sea bass, and neither disappointed. The staff were very attentive, and made our long stay very enjoyable.

Went to this Fleming's locale for the first time while vacationing in San Diego. We've been to several FPS in CA and AZ and this one is just as great. Located in the downtown area (nice for a walk) The service and food were great all around. Great steaks and seafood. Would highly recommend!!!

Here we were, new to San Diego, tired from a day of touring, looking for a nice steakhouse and here was Fleming's. As always, great cocktails, wines and tasty steaks. You just never go wrong with these places. Even though it's part of a big chain, they maintain a local touch and have consistent high quality from one location to another.

Engaged them for a large wedding group. They handle private parties very well. They offered several menu options and price points. The wait staff was superb. The kitchen delivered excellent sides and entrees. All the guests were pleased. The children's Mac and cheese was a big hit. They really came through for our group of 70. Could not be more pleased with Flemings.

Love this place for happy hour! Check out their websites for details. Great selections on food and drinks. Been here MANy times and I think it has the best happy hour for quality of food. Been to the restaurant too. Great steak and side. The service is consistently great no matter I have a sit down diner or bar service.

The staff at Flemings San Diego are what makes this the best Flemings in the chain. The food was outstanding (we all had steaks) and the wine selection is fabulous and very comprehensive. I loved the choices by the glass.I highly recommend a visit!. It is in a great location in downtown San Diego and you will be delighted!

It was our anniversary. Upon arrival there was rose petals on our table & a card from the staff wishing us a happy anniversary. They offered us complimentary champagne. We ordered the kung pho cauliflower appetizer & it was amazing! We each order a steak & shared the fleming potatoes. Our meal was perfectly cooked & tasted fabulous. The sent us home with complimentary chocolates. The best part of the meal was our server. She was attentive but not too much. She was sweet & professional. I loved every part of the night. Thank you Flemings for making our anniversary special!

My husband and I stopped by for dinner. We had reservations and were readily seated. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. We ordered 1 petite filet, 1 bone in ribeye, 1 baked potatoe, 2 martinis, 1 Manhattan, 1 glass of wine, and 1 chocolate lava cake. Total without tip was 217 dollars plus change. Food was fine..only complaint is the bread served used to have 2 choices of a dip..now it is only 1 choice. Also, I like the cabernet reduction sauce with my steak (that no longer exists)...might go back to another steakhouse for dinner next time. Hint...it starts with the letter M and the steakhouse is within very close proximity of Fleming's ...but we shall see. It was a nice dinner..would highly recommend.

large group of us -38- service was good, billing was no problem[ sometimes it is a hassle for a group] food was excellent. although pricey.

Classic steakhouse. Bone-in filet was perfectly cooked and 14oz was very filling but not overly. This is an exceptional cut. Guys who got the NY strip loved it too. Classic Caesar salad and sides.

We had dinner there for anniversary. First we started by going to the bar for cocktails. The bartenders made the best pomegranate martini I have every had! Although crowded, it gave you the feel of a hip urban hangout. For dinner we both ordered appetizers to start. I had the lobster bisque, which was great. For the main course we both ordered steaks and baked potatoes. The steaks were cooked to perfection!

My family and I took advantage of a promotion Fleming's has for filet mignon for 4. It was great! I picked up the order and everything was fine..However, I misunderstood and thought there was 4 sides with the order..but it was only 2. I called the restaurant a few minutes later to state I would be fine to pay 2 more side orders. I was told they would give me 2 orders. I walked over and a waiter (I think) was already outside with the 2 side dishes. I offered to pay but he said it was fine. Thank you Fleming's for being so kind and generous. Our meals were very good. Will return soon. LOVE U

My husband, daughter, and I had dinner at Fleming's Steakhouse to celebrate our daughter's birthday. It was indeed a treat. We ordered two petite filet mignons, chef's selection entree #2, 2 French onion soups, the wedge salad, grilled asparagus, Fleming's potatoes, and we shared a dessert (chocolate lava cake). For drinks, we ordered 2 Beefeater martinis, 1 bottle of Pellegrino, 1 seasonal mule, and a glass of wine. Price w/ tip and valet was $310.00 (this is after a 40 dollar promotion credit). My steak was quite juicy and tender, and the Madeira sauce that accompanied it was delicious. All the sides were very tasty. I have had the fortune of visiting this Fleming's for years not..maybe 10-12 x. It is one of the best steakhouses in San Diego. I have to say our waiter was very efficient and friendly, I think his name was David S....and the manager was very kind. He stopped by to wish our daughter a happy birthday, he gave her a 25 dollar gift certificate to Fleming's and a box of truffles. Now that is awesome customer service. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We had dinner here with family prior to attending a concert at Petco Park. It was a short 2 block walk. We were seated promptly and greeted immediately. We started with cocktails that were all amazing! We ordered a variety of food items, steak, prime rib, oysters, scallops, salads, Brussel sprouts and of course a couple orders of the not-to-be-missed Flemings potatoes. Everything was absolutely AMAZING! So delicious and flavorful. Since we were on a tight schedule we did not order dessert. Our service was fantastic, the atmosphere was romantic, and we had a wonderful time!

On my last night in San Diego, I decided to give Fleming's Prime Steakhouse a try. I am glad I did, I was able to get a table with no reservations. Being a solo traveler and diner, I am always afraid I would get a seat in corner facing the wall, but a got a good table, I had the New York Cut with their au gratin potatoes and glass of Malbec, the steak was perfectly cook. The wait staff were great and friendly. I enjoyed my dining experience very much. I recommend this place.

Location is very good, in the middle of downtown area. Service is very good. A nice offer of wines and cocktails. Meat are very good. I tried a bone in rib eye, very good.

Superb service and great food. If you notify them of a special occasion, they give you truffles and DO make every effort to treat you well. The price IS high, about $250 for 2 people. Great food is great food, but 10 stalks of asparagus should never be $12.50! You never have to worry about bad food, as it is always great! I had the block cut ribeye and it did not disappoint. Creme Brûlée is marvelous. I did find the Latte to be overly strong and bitter. All in all a special anniversary dinner with my spouse.

Simple and classic is the general theme. If you are just looking for a good steak and are ok to share the side dishes, Fleming's is a good choice. The non-steak options were several seafood options, chicken, and pork. The mussels appetizer is amazing and I think I liked it better than my steak. The service was great and the dining experience is well-suited for business. The lighting is dark but common among steakhouses.

We were in California to visit our daughter and son-in-law, and they had made a reservation at this restaurant. What they hadn't told us was this was going to be a dinner celebrating my wife's recent retirement from the teaching profession, so upon giving our name to the host, we were surprised when he immediately congratulated my wife. Upon being seated, our server David S. immediately congratulated my wife also, explained the menu, and took our drink orders. Our meals were delicious - I had the 12-ounce filet, my wife and daughter had the 8-ounce filet, and my son-in-law had the Craftsman prime ribeye. We shared huge side orders of grilled asparagus, creamed spinach, and french fries. Everything was absolutely delicious! The desserts were out of this world, too, especially the carrot cake (huge serving) and turtle pie. As we were finishing our meal, the manager came over and congratulated my wife and gave her a gift box of chocolate truffles and a card signed by all the staff! We absolutely loved this restaurant and the wonderful way we were treated. My wife was especially happy to get such royal treatment and to chat with David S. about the teachers in his own family.

Our party of 4 came here for Tomahawk Tuesday and we were stuffed! The deal is pretty good: $150 for 2 people and it includes 2 salads, 2 sides, 2 desserts, and either the 35oz Tomahawk OR the Sliced Porterhouse (6oz Filet Mignon + 28oz bone-in New York Strip). They also offered a complimentary basket of warm and soft bread with 2 kinds of spread. Our table ordered: -Salads: Wedge Salad (my favorite), Caesar salad, Fleming’s Salad -35oz Tomahawk: comes pre-cut. This was so tasty, cooked to perfection, and was actually pretty filling between the 2 of us! -Sides: Brussel Sprouts (perfectly crispy), Fleming’s Potatoes (cheesy and good), Sauteed Mushrooms, Chipotle Cheddar Mac and Cheese (creamy and delicious) -Desserts: Carrot Cake, Chocolate Lava Cake, Creme Brûlée— everything tasted great but by the time dessert came, we were pretty stuffed. -A bottle of Cosentino Zinfandel ($60): perfect taste with our meal Service: Mark was our server and he was attentive, efficient, helpful, and personable! Food didn’t take as long, considering our table ordered 2 Tomahawks. Parking: It’s in downtown so be prepared to walk a few blocks to find street parking. We ended up parking at a paid lot for $10 a couple of blocks down. They also offer valet. Overall: Fantastic experience and deal with the Tomahawk Tuesday! Excellent service and great food. We were not disappointed and I’d come back again for this deal!

Had a delicious aged ribeye steak here with a couple of friends. It was pretty good, but a bit too much gristle for my taste. The meat that was there was delicious. The potatoes were an extremely good side dish selection. Terrific suggestion on wine pairings for the meal as well. Just overpriced.

I always like to get there at 6 pm and eat at the bar. They have what they call "5 for 6 til 7". Which is 5 items for $6 til 7pm. 5 wines, 5 drinks, and 5 appetizers. Plus the burger for like a buck more. And a great chocolate lava dessert.

Had a great meal at Fleming’s in San Diego. Right in the heart of the Gaslamp district with a fantastic traditional luxury steak house feel. The manager (Chris) came and checked on us several times. Our waiter (Hector) was excellent and very happy to bring a dish of extra anchovies to accompany our Salads. Steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. Loved the atmosphere, service, and the food.

Food was outstanding. Expensive but fine dining isn’t cheap. Two recommendations for owners. 1. Too much lemon in the béarnaise. 2. Don’t correct a scotch drinker on the pronunciation of his favorite scotch, and if you do, you better be right. (He wasn’t. Glenmorangie is pronounced just like it’s spelled. Orangey like tang)

We had the perfect meal at this place with some of the best steaks in San Diego. The soup was excellent all the way to the cheesecake dessert. No complaints. The service was top-notch attentive and very courteous and friendly. 5 star restaurant.

Wonderful dinner at Fleming's San Diego. Our waiter Patrick was attentive and very nice. My husband enjoyed his pork chop and I enjoyed my petite filet, and the cheese spreads and fresh warm bread were so delicious. Followed Patrick's recommendation for which glass of pinot noir and it was excellent. This is a great place for a special dinner, just make sure you understand what you are getting into price-wise before you go.

We stopped in here around happy hour time just to check the place out salad was awesome we just shared a couple things the service was very good but the desert was absolutely awesome definite must just ice cream with some type of homemade whipped cream or something like that it was very good

Flemings has always been one of my favorite restaurants. It isn’t a favorite any more. In fact, I may never go back. My friend and I had reservations but were given the classic “just 10 minutes” line when we asked when our table would be ready. We were told to take a seat, however, all the seats were taken. So we went into the bar and struggled to find 2 seats there. After wandering aimlessly looking for 2 places, we finally settled in at a table that hadn’t been cleaned. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. 45 minutes later we were seated! The menu has really been pared down with fewer options. WE ordered a salad and our entree and waited and waited and waited and waited. By the time our order came I wasn’t even hungry anymore. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes to dine there. We won’t be back.

We went to dinner to celebrate a College Graduation and could not have been more pleased. EVERYTHING was delicious and every staff member went out of their way to congratulate the graduate! From the wine recommendation to the dessert it was perfect. Absolutely the most delicious Brussel Sprouts and Lobster topped mashed potatoes EVER. Our server even offered to split the wedge salads in half since one of my biggest complaints is that after the salad you are too full to even attempt the entree. Believe me even in half it's a large (delicious) portion. The kids ordered the chocolate lava cake and they are still talking about it :) Obviously not a place you'd dine at weekly but worth the visit when you can.

It was our first visit, we had a gift card for 5 years so we thought we would use it before it expired, lol. The restaurant was extremely nice most of the people there were very friendly, they made us feel very welcome. My selection was ok, my husband really enjoyed his. However the restaurant was just not our cup of tea, it felt very stuffy. Maybe we are just die hard Chart House fans because that is where I kept wishing I was.

We really enjoyed it here, the staff are very accommodating, the food is amazing, they have a fantastic children’s menu which is such good value.

Wanted a nice romantic dinner for two as a celebration of our Anniversary and Fleming's delivered 100%. The Filet and Lobster was amazing. But the service by Sebastian, and the kindness of Managers Paul and Danielle, really made us feel special. Thank you Sebastian and Management crew for making our anniversary dinner special. P.S. The Chocolate Truffles were Amazing!!!!!

great food, beautiful atmosphere. My fiancé and our friends thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The server and manager were so nice and accommodating. They helped make for a great evening!

I have been to all steakhouses in San Diego by now, even the newest ones and i must say that absolutely nothing beats Flemings. They are always a step ahead when it comes to food and impeccable service, a true dining experience. Not only are their steaks (and seafood!) incredible they also have an awesome Happy Hour and great cocktails. Would highly recommend to everyone, you wont be disappointed.

We celebrated an anniversary at Flemings. We were greeted warmly. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. When we told the Waiter, Jimmy Spencer, it was our anniversary, he immediately went and got a glass of champagne for each of us. They have a Prime Rib special on Sunday, which is what we both ordered. The price was great for the meal! We were even comp'd one of our desserts due to our anniversary! I would HIGHLY recommend Fleming's for any special occasion, or even if you have a hankering for a steak. This is my one of my favorite restaurants! Don't go if you are looking for a cheap meal, but DO go if you like quality!

We hadn’t been to a Fleming’s in over four years due to an international job assignment. We always had good experiences at the Fleming’s in Houston so decided to try Fleming’s in San Diego for Thanksgiving dinner. We had the three course Thanksgiving dinner. My wife had the full size filet and I had the Turkey. Everything was very good! We were glad we chose Fleming’s for our Thanksgiving dinner. Service, led by Carlos, was also very good!

We ended up at Flemming's in the university district when almost everywhere else was booked for dinner, but it did not disappoint. I have ventured to a lot of steak houses and my meal at Flemming's was the best. I got the 8oz filet mignon with the truffle loster sauce on top. The steak was cooked wonderfully, it melted in my mouth along with the lobster topping and a side of mushrooms and garlic. Their Oceanic Navigator (I think?) gin drink was also amazing. Definitely a great spot for the food.

Was one of the best meals ever. The filet mignon was cook perfect and loved their potato side. Service was top notch and can't say enough about our server. He was perfectly attentive without being bothersome.

We ate here twice during a recent trip to San Diego. Decor, menu and service is similar to other Flemings we have dined in. Food and service very good - however it's not cheap here. One disappointment is the lack of provision for dairy and gluten intolerant diners which was a disappointment - how difficult can it be to offer gluten free bread as an option?

Food was amazing- had the crab cakes on the recommendation of our waiter, and they did not disappoint- mostly crab, not much breading, sauce was very good. Steaks were cooked perfectly and very tasty, sides were excellent, and the lava cake for dessert was divine. Service was excellent- always there when you needed something but never hovering. This is not a cheap restaurant, but you definitely get what you pay for and then some. This is one of our favorite restaurants in San Diego and we'll definitely be back.

A++++ service top notch and best steaks in town or damn close. Always a good consistent experience at 5 star Flemings and also great deals.

We were staying overnight at The Horton Grand Hotel in San Diego after an afternoon San Diego Padre game. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse was only 2 blocks from the hotel and we made a dinner reservation for 7:00 PM. I had an 11 ounce Filet and my wife had salmon. The food and service was very good and so was the bottle of Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina.
An upmarket Steakhouse
I recently went to Flemmings after many years. This is an excellent steakhouse, the food is very good and the staff are professional and pleasant. The price is what you would expect for an upmarket steak house, expensive! The only issue I have is that the only handicap parking is a LONG WAY from the restaurant. Ace parking have the valet concession and that is a $9.00 fee + tip It just gripes me.
