I ate there last month and enjoyed what I had (I think it was chicken!)and a side of brussel sprouts (made very well, with bacon of course). The steak as at most good steak places was expensive, especially for the neighborhood. That said, the restaurant is nicely appointed and the service was fine. Since I live in the area, if I wanted a great steak dinner, I would likely head downtown or Bellevue to a steak emporium. I have heard that their burgers at HH are really good

We just returned from Happy Hour at this restaurant. It was our first time there. It is a fun atmosphere. One thing I want to warn customers about is the the aggressive waiters. I was being judicious with my wine and had a few sips left when the waiter came up and took my glass away without asking. They were that way as well with the plates. As soon as we finished one dish, they would swoop in and carry the plate away as if they were running out of dishes and needed to wash them quickly. That is just a guess, but it was a bit odd. The food was great and as all good Seattle restaurants, expensive. I hope they read this and correct this practice.

Our group of 7 ladies thoroughly enjoyed our dinner of little plates, upstairs at the Flint Creek. Our service was perfect, no long waits even though the the server was obviously busy. Also no mistakes. The food was delicious, and I believe we cleaned all the plates. Hey be sure to take a pack of matches, even if you don't smoke. Cute.

Absolutely delicious food! We had the venison pate, eggplant, rib eye and carrots, and it was all amazing! Will definitely be back. Small plates are actually very large, so don't order too many plates to begin with.

We are big fans of Rockcreek, same chef-owners than Flintcreek, so we wanted to try Flintcreek to see if we would like it as much. The answer is not really. Even if the food was good, it wasn't necessarily to my taste: sides are too sweet, veggies too crunchy, the onion compote served with the bison (bison was very good) too sweet again... On the positive side the service is very pleasant and efficient, as well as the way reservations are managed. The dessert (a butterscotch mousse) was super nice. We will keep our habits at Rockcreek and might try Flintcreek again in a few months.

Food is heavy and odd. Bring a carnivore appetite and your wallet. Had the chicken. It was bland. Rather spend my money elsewhere.

Overall experience I rate 5 stars. Customer service, menu selection, food quality, ambiance, ease for reservations and ample parking. We sat upstairs in the dinning area. They have dining and bar seating downstairs. Since it was our first time we wasn’t sure of what exactly of what to order so we asked what was popular. I saw a couple people with the tomahawk steak which looked yummy but we were looking for smaller portions so we ordered an entree each and one side dish and was not disappointed. Great food!

Found this place on line. Driving into town late (after 9 pm on a weeknight) We were looking for a good meal with a nice, relaxing but not fussy ambiance to help us unwind after a long day of driving. Flint Creek did not disappoint. Many years of living in one of the fine cuisine capitols of the US (NOLA) has transformed me into a food snob and I have to say the food was fantastic. Service superb. Wine list impressive. My husband ordered the filet and a salad. The filet was tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The ingredients for the salad were super fresh, the dressing was delicious. I ordered oven roasted olives with garlic as an appetizer and the grilled salmon for my entree. Both were amazing. Our server was a delight -- attentive and personable, without being intrusive. When he learned that we were first time visitors to Washington state, our server went out of his way to make us feel welcomed with helpful hints and tips. We finished of our meal by sharing a banana split sundae that was served on the house -- that's lagniappe (a special surprise for those of you who don't speak Cajun!)

Great food and service, every dish was outstanding. We were there for birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. We will be heading back again!

The pasta bolognese and NY strip were outstanding. The fishy butter they put on the steaks is terrible, very strong anchovy. Bread is good and the butter it comes with it is worth the $7 they charge for the bread. Prices are high. A steak for $44 and up is ok but it’s be more appealing if a veg was included. Portion size of the wild boar shoulder was an appetizer size entree, not a dinner entree. Apple crisp dessert was good, but small and needed a lot more apples.

Excellent food in a great atmosphere. You will find venison, wild boar, duck confit, bison, lamb, pork and chicken along side some fantastic vegetarian and vegetable dishes all sourced from small scale farms. I can hardly wait to re-visit this new offering in our neck of the woods. It is a fine addition along with the sister restaurant Rockcreek in the Fremont neighborhood. So much good food! Brunch will be coming and I will be happy to check it out!

I was blown away by the food here! Yes, it's pricey, but I absolutely loved this place. I've lived in the area enough to remember when this used to house an antique mall. I'm glad to see these kinds of restaurants come in here. I really can't afford to eat here often, but this is a great place for a special occasion...

Everything that you may have read about their limited happy hour burger understates just how good that burger is. Who knew dead cow in a bun could be so delish?!

New restaurant from Eric Donnelly, of Rock Creek fame, and his focus here is on game and beef. The menu is carefully considered -- both food and cocktails -- and everything we tried was delicious. The entrees were the highlights -- bison short rib and bison flatiron, both beautifully prepared and presented. We went on a busy Saturday night and the place was packed, which contributed to a certain harried atmosphere when it came to service -- we were surprised at the longer wait for drinks and first courses. The noise level was such that we couldn't conduct a normal conversation, let alone hear the restaurant's sound track. We'll be back, but at a less busy time.

I left this meal feeling mixed emotions, I wanted to love it and return but certain things left a frustrated perspective. The food was lovely, so let’s start with that. The service was quite good. However the way the menu was priced I found irritating; the steaks were expensive ($68 for a ribeye) but if this had come with anything it would have been fine, but an additional $5 for a sauce on the steak?! Seems outrageous to me. Then $15 for a side of potatoes to go with it (as well as a very limited option of sides to go with the meal, only 4 options). All in all I felt this was not a nice way to add cost to an already quite expensive meal. Then the mandatory 23% service on the bill is something I personally find very annoying, service is a way of showing extra gratuity for good service and the culture of building this in to the price is not something I do not enjoy or appreciate. Ultimately if you get things just right and price it fairly people will return but unfortunately the small matter of a $5 sauce is something that would leave me reconsidering another visit. A few tweaks and this would be a place I’d visit again for sure.

The restaurant menu looks delicious, but it was hard to pass up the happy hour bar menu. And the restaurant was really great at accommodating all 11 in our party! Great wine -- great burgers!!

We were just here for drinks and an appetizer, but had such a good experience we'll be back for dinner. We sat at the bar and the bartenders, Joshua and Bryan, were fabulous. They know how to serve up a great cocktail or beer and are super attentive and friendly. Drinks and the appetizer, pickled veggies, were all good. The only think I would change, and the reason for four vs. five stars, is where the condiments are kept. We noticed that the customers at the very end of the bar where the citrus, mint, etc. we kept were just sort of playing with the items. Taking the mint out of its container and putting it back, things like that. So basically someone who is not supposed to be handling food and probably has not washed their hands has their hands all over items that are going into the drinks. That needs attention.

We shared everything! The endive salad was full of flavor! The asparagus dish was unique. The bison excellent. Cauliflower side is huge! Service was knowledgeable and helpful. Check it out!

Such a great addition to the neighborhood! Everything we chose was so flavorful and fresh. The burrata was paired with squash, which I never would have thought of, but wow. It was delish. The ribeye was cooked perfectly with such a great sear on the outside. I will definitely be back and recommend it to friends. Don’t hesitate...go!

Flintcreek Cattle Co goes beyond a traditional steakhouse with a creative menu in an inviting, modern space. Offering items for the traditionalist (ribeye, pork chop) or a bit more off the beaten path (venison loin, bison hanger steak) all of the food is delicious and well prepared. The wine list has interesting choices, with a focus on the northwest but still maintaining options from France and California. The cocktail options are also creative and fun. Very much worth the trip to 85th street if you are in Seattle!

Chef Eric Donnelly is a master in the kitchen. His preparations are second to none in a foodie city. We came in for our 27th Anniversary for a special meal and we were not disappointed. We opened up the feast with a starter plate of Totten Kamilche Mussels. It was in a charred jalapeno lime butter juice and served with grilled baguette. Nice opener. We moved onto the main course of a Meyer Ranch MT hangar steak and a 21-day aged prime filet. The hangar was unbelievable, accompanied by a topping of roasted walnuts, spring onion salad, bleu d'auvergne, caramelized onion marmalade. That topping was nothing short of brilliant. The prime was exactly as expected; melt-in-your-mouth tender, flavorful and topped with a maitre d' hotel butter. Succulent. The sides were also ridiculous. The pommes dauphinoise is a layered potato dish, topped with nutmeg cream and parmesan. The caulifower romesco must be ordered. I never knew such a mundane thing as cauliflower could impress that highly. It did. Finally, the dessert of Brûléed Banana Split, tin roof ice cream with peanuts, chocolate brownie, candied pecans, caramel sauce sent me right over the top. This place must be visited. It is an unbelievable experience in culinary excellence and the service was wonderful.

I made a special trip to the Greenwood Ave. area to see why so many raves about FlintCreek Cattle Co. Well, it's a cool place with a very hip bar and wonderful atmosphere. Service at the bar was superb. I was lucky to grab a seat open on Saturday night. The Pinor Noir from Cooper Mountain was delicious but a bit pricey at $15. I went with the Ribeye steak with a side of fresh steamed asparagus in a Hollandaise sauce. The asparagus was delicious, as was the rib eye. But I did find the meat to be just a tad chewy for a ribeye. I expected it to be just a bit more tender. Taste wise, however, it was superb. All told, with tax and tip, we're talking nearly $100 for one person. That's a bit expensive.

While the ambiance was not "Met Grill", the pork chop was the best (most tender) I've ever had. I was surprised to find a top-quality steakhouse here. Very good staff taking care of us, too.

There is a reason this restaurant was named Seattle's 2017 restaurant of the year. I ordered the 12 oz rib eye and it was heavenly. It was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also ordered the potatoes dauphinoise and cauliflower. I ordered the sauce which came with the cauliflower on the side and had the waitress bring me some melted butter. While the sides tasted good, my only complaint is that the side dishes were not hot. We ordered the brown butter pudding which was also excellent. My friends had the brined porkchop and the other had the filet of beef. They were out of towners and raved about this place.

We enjoyed a pleasant and delicious dinner. With reservations, we were escorted promptly to our seat. The staff members were attentive and effective. All service was timely! The menu has a nice selection of small plates, mains and vegetables to choose from. The back side of the menu lists a variety of alcoholic beverages. Domestic and imported wines, beers, cider, and other drinks are available. We brought a bottle from our own cellar and were charged a HEFTY CORKING FEE!

I took my husband for his birthday to this deservedly popular restaurant. We were wowed. This former antique store has been gutted and rebuilt with a thoroughly modern but comfortable interior. It's busy and loud and energetic. We split the outrageous quail pate appetizer, which came accompanied with a huge pile of delicious relish, some pieces of toast, and finely sliced onion and young radish. My glass of Oregon Pinot Noir was excellent. So was my succulently tender bison hangar steak with onion chutney, blue cheese and candied walnuts, my husband's very flavorful wild boar, and our huge side of roasted cauliflower with a tomato and red pepper purée. We split the "banana split" which you must try. Prices were very reasonable for all this locally sourced delicious fare. Two tips -- make a reservation!! And be aware parking is scarce, limited right now to an unsigned small lot about a quarter block south of the restaurant.

We enjoyed the braised boar shoulder, the happy hour burger, the banana brulee dessert, and the chocolate cake as well. Wow, all were delicious. Portion size on the BBS could be better for the price, but everything tasted excellent!

My husband and I visited Flintcreek Cattle Co. for dinner on our first night in Seattle. Our meal was delicious! We started with a small plate of peaches, prosciutto, pistachio oil, burrata, and arugula, and were impressed with the quality of the prosciutto and how well the flavors of the dish complimented it. My husband had the braised wild boar with parmesan-potato gnocchi, which he enjoyed. I had a filet mignon with some potato side that was excellent. We were pretty full from dinner, so we shared a molten chocolate cake for dessert. It was rich but not too much so, and a nice way to end our meal. We ordered some drinks the waiter recommended as well and, though I can't remember what he brought us, I can confirm they were delicious! The service was prompt and attentive. The atmosphere was intimate and comfortable, very well suited for a date night. The bill was on the high side but not unreasonable for fine dining. We would definitely return.

Sensational everything at this restaurant specializing in meat that is locally and humanely raised. Our cocktails were great, as was my glass of red wine. My husband and I were delighted by the black garlic Caesar salad, and our guests loved the lamb carpaccio. Entrees were all great, including the boar, the bison hangar steak, the lamb shoulder and the troll caught king salmon. We all opted for the delicious sundae dessert.

This place is amazing. Atmosphere, service, menu and execution of the food. The yellow beet salad is so tasty. The pork chop is the best ever. It is a large portion! The chocolate lava cake with peanut butter ice cream is, well, the icing on the cake. Free parking next door.

This is a semi-pricey restaurant for this part of town but if you can hit happy hour I encourage you to do so. They have a magnificent blue cheese butcher burger that's truly a meal (they only serve 12 per happy hour service so arrive early). The lamb sausage is very tasty as is the pickled veg plate. Drink prices are extremely reasonable, and HH wines are a mere $6 a glass. Service is excellent, bartenders are very knowledgeable, and the space is big and bright, if not a bit noisy when packed. One of my favorite HHs in the neighborhood.

Food excellent. However restaurant very loud, hard to hold a conversation. Also the menus were in very small print and that together with the very poor lighting made the menus almost impossible to read. I asked the server for a flashlight and she brought a magnifying glass with a light on it, and brought someone else in the party reading glasses. So must be others have trouble too if they can produce readers. They are unable to brighten the lights. Even the bathroom is very dark. I ended up using the flashlight on my phone along with the magnifying feature and even that was hard. Prices are quite high. Our server was friendly.

This place is bigger than it looks as it has upstairs seating. So don't be afraid to go inside and check for space even if it looks very crowded. You would think the first thing we would want to try is beef. But no. We tried the salmon and the quail and both were fantastic. Salmon had a wonderful rub on it and the fresh tomatoes and green with it were perfect. The quail was wonderful as well and we shared a side of roasted cauliflower on a tomato sauce that was super yummy. We liked their drink and wine menu and the wines by the glass were top notch. Will definitely will be returning to try other menu items!

Incredibly creative and interesting combinations. This place is a must stop if you like great food and small plate options. I tried the venison pate - awesome. Having the ability to have an entree or share a number of small plates sets this place on top of my list. The great food is accompanied with stellar service. A home run.

Came here for a birthday dinner on a Sunday night. The salad and prosciutto on the appetizer menu were delicious. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came blue rare. I asked for ice and a straw and server acted like i was putting her out. Not a fan of steel straws and not sure why they cant use the new compostable ones. The wifes filet was way too salty and unless you order one of the jumbo steaks the other dishes are really small.

Every single dish was beautifully plated and delicious. I only wish the server would have pointed out that there are no sides with the mains. Salads were perfectly seasoned and my fish was perfectly cooked. The highlight was the banana split: I regret not ordering a second one. Service was friendly and fast. Overall an excellent experience (except for the lady behind me that farted and it smelled really bad).

As a long-time fan of the Taproot Theatre, I've often wished there were better dining options in the neighborhood. This weekend, I found what I'd been looking for. Lacking time for the full experience, I sat at the bar and ordered their chicken entree and a glass of red. (Yes, I do that.) The wine was quite good. The meal was more. It was memorable. Rich, but not heavy, and with enough intriguing flavors that no two bites seemed the same. Ample, but not excessive. It was the perfect beginning to my evening of theatre. So perfect, in fact, that I returned with a friend the next night - without the excuse of seeing a show. I ordered the same meal, and she had a salad. But after sampling my chicken, she ordered it for herself, and was equally pleased. We received first-rate service and left, vowing to return often.

The best upscale restaurant in north Seattle! The food was excellent, the staff friendly, the atmosphere busy but surprisingly not too noisy. The remodeled old building was beautifully done. The menu was on the pricier side but worth the excellent flavors and treat to the palate! Using premium meats from small farms responsibly raised. Menu is ala carte and you will need to purchase separate accompaniments but you can easily share a salad between two people. Our group tried three different salads and they were all amazing. We had a seat in the upper level where we were right above where we could watch them being made. For main courses we tried the Fennel braised wild board shoulder with gnocchi (amazing), Wild Mushroom Bolognese, Split roasted chicken and the Wrangell AK king salmon. All four of those were excellent! We all shared a taste with each other. A great addition to the Greenwood neighborhood!

Flint Creek Cattle Co. is an excellent restaurant. We were there for dinner. The atmosphere is simple, but elegant. The service is amazing. The steak is quite delicious. We also had the eggplant, the gem salad, the pommes dauphinoise, the brown butter bourbon pudding, and the bruleed banana split. All were flavorful and well presented.

We celebrated a birthday and we were 10 guest. We shared various appetisers. The warm duck confit salad and the burrata were excellent. The lamb t bone shops were very good,, the bison was outstanding and the wild boar were very good. The service was also very goos. The place is a bit noisy, but pleasant. All in all a good experience and in the list of restaurants to come again in a future visit to Seattle.

Came here for an intimate birthday dinner with 3 others, and was not disappointed! The service was impeccable, from the hostess to the bussers to the servers, everyone was welcoming and seemed happy. The cocktails were hit and miss. We enjoyed trying them all though! The food was good, but some were lacking. The squash appetizer was cold, which I wasn't quite sure if that was meant to be served like that. BEST PART? The banana split dessert. We shared this among 4 people and it was a perfect end to our evening. I think it's a bit pricey for what you get, but the ambience, service, and food are good enough that I will be back.

My husband and I are very picky about restaurants and this one was excellent. The Duck Confit warm salad and the duck appetizer with marmalade on toast was amazing. Loved the cauliflower and the filet mignon cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back. Excellent service as well.

Pleasantly surprised! Nice selection of appetizers-we had the beet root-great flavor combos. The steaks were quite, expensive, of course, as steak houses go.

The restaurant was on the loud side, but we were still able to hear ourselves across the table, we were7 women, and were sitting upstairs. The little plates / appetizers were what we ordered, and every one of them was delicious. Perhaps next time, and I will return, I'll try a steak as it seems from the reviews, they are especially good. Hey don't forget to pick up a book of matches, what a cute surprise

Had dinner here - fairly early so not very crowded. The food was very good and used in season ingredients - perhaps the reason some find the menu "interesting" or "odd". Best was the steak and the carrots were done "just right". We would go back again and try other sides and skip the dessert. And found there is a parking lot close t hough we didn't use it - would be good for anyone who has trouble walking a long ways as street parking can be tight.

FlintCreek Cattle Company is located in the Greenwood neighborhood. Greenwood is a neighborhood in north-central Seattle. In short, the mission at FlintCreek Cattle Company is to serve premium meats obtained from well managed small-scale farms and ranches that yield responsibly raised, pastured, grass-fed animals without added hormones and antibiotics. I eat a plant-based diet. Even though FlintCreek is a steak house, they accommodated my dietary requests very deliciously. My husband had a 21-day aged fillet that melted in his mouth. I had a delicious vegan mushroom, potatoes and asparagus dish. We highly recommend you try Flintcreek!

a smaller, I'd say boutique restaurant in the greenwood neighborhood, and it was quite a pleasure. Nicely casual in its environment, pleasantly busy but not noisy, and q distinctive different and original menu.... by the way, they have a great bar and a bartender that can make an excellent drink, but the menu is what to go for,..unique and different but not crazy fancy, a very nice selection, all done in ways not likely to be found in other places but all sounding (and tasting!!) amazingly good....and the service is as good as the food.. we'll be going the 1 1/2 hours to get the again and again...

We met another couple for dinner here on a busy Friday night (we had reservations). We were seated upstairs overlooking the open kitchen. We love to eat family style and ordered lots of things to share: crisp pickled vegetables, mussels, lamb tartare, lamb sausage, the bone in Delmonico (cooked and seasoned perfectly), curry halibut and bone in pork chop. Each dish had unique flavors. The halibut and tartare were both outstanding and had a good kick to them. We also shared two desserts - bruleed banana split and the chocolate ganache cake - both were delicious and served beautifully. Service was well timed, it wasn't too loud. We all started with cocktails - the Johnny's Ringo Revolver was well balanced with great flavor. Their wine list was good - loved the Corliss cab. Overall great dining experience - we will return and already have reservations for the Rock Creek.

We went with a friend to Flintcreek Cattle Co. and had a excellent dinner that was a bit unusual. I expected a traditional steak house but was pleased to find a diverse menu. Our service, wine and food were all good enough to leave wanted to return.

We experienced both happy hour and dinner. Both were excellent with the happy hour specials being the best deal. The dinner menu is priced moderately for the quality of the food. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, especially with translating into plain English the fancy foodie words on the menu. The meat is either from wild or grass fed sources. The kitchen will work with customers to meet any special dietary requirements.

I came here with my partner, a vegetarian, based on many happy experiences at Rockcreek, their sister Seafood based restaurant. We ordered freely from the vegetarian options on the menu. These dishes are well thought out, delicious and beautifully plated. Cocktails were also outstanding, as well as an inviting atmosphere. So...if you are vegetarian or in mixed company, you can put together a great meal here!

After a stellar meal at Rockcreek on last year's vacation, this year we decided to try their sister restaurant Flintcreek. Rockcreek specializes in fish; Flintcreek specializes in wild and domestic meats. We each had a cocktail, and all drinks were delicious. We shared several items: a $4 Columbia City Baguette with plugra butter & maldon salt and $11 Grilled Baby Eggplant with fermented black bean vinaigrette, sesame seeds, shallots, tomatoes, and herb salad, $9 Oven Roasted Cauliflower with hazelnut romesco and sea salt, and $11 Oven Roasted Brussels Sprouts with ginger, shallots, bacon lardon, ginger-soy glaze, sesame seeds, and bonito flakes (which looked alive as the heat activated them on top of the vegetables). My entree was a Brined Bone-in Oregon Pork Chop with creole red eye gravy, heirloom grits, and marinated cabbage. It was moist and delicious. I ate about 2/3 of the meat before becoming full, so my son finished it. We shared a dessert, Valrhona Chocolate Ganache Cake with caramel-peanut ice cream and peanut anglaise. The ice cream and peanut anglaise were the stars of the dessert. I love the decor and ambiance, which is similar to that of Rockcreek. I would definitely return on a future trip to Seattle.

We thought this place was outstanding. Great service, terrific food. Our only qualm - it is a bit noisy. The prosciutto appetizer and pork shoulder entree are particularly outstanding. Highly recommended.

Dinner for two couples on a Saturday evening. First visit for each. Our server was excellent; professional and attentive. The starters were very good with the tartare outstanding. The recommended Bison was tough. The big, big downside was the noise. Our table was small yet we still had to lean-in to hear each other. This was not the result of one noisy table near us, the noise was obtrusive everywhere, especially upstairs. This issue needs attention.

Flint Creek Cattle Company takes a unique approach to what could be considered a traditional steak house. The menu consists of appetizers, small plates, main dishes and steaks/chops. The main dishes and steaks exceeded the appetizers and small plates in quality. The meat dishes at dinner were excellent. In particular any dishes with Bison (members of our party had both the hangar steak and the ribeye) were outstanding. Flint Creek has a good drink menu, with an interesting wine list. While the list is not massive, it is well thought out and features some lesser known wines from both Washington, Oregon and Rhone Valley in France. Prices were a bit high for Seattle (about $100/person with wine, dessert, tax and tip), but the overall quality and unique nature of the dishes made it worthwhile.

Food is fabulous and service spot on. I recommend this very nice place, but prefer the lower level versus the second level seating.

I went with my son and we ordered a starter of mussels- they were undercooked and had no flavor. We then ordered the wild boar. It was salty (too heavily brined) and later gave both of us some problems (TMI). I will not go back. I've heard others had a great meal but it wasn't the case for us.

The waitress was outstanding. They have a great wine menu, good cocktails and spirits. The food was good but the steak was the star of the evening. The valrhona ganache cake with peanut butter ice cream was really good.

The sister restaurant to the acclaimed RockCreek Seafood & Spirits, FlintCreek Cattle Co. continues with chef Eric’s tradition of Only The Finest food and service at excellent price points. Excellent service, management, food and ambiance makes this place an absolute MUST! This is a meat lovers paradise while RockCreek is a seafood lovers paradise. We went crazy and tried chicken, wild boar, duck, beef and buffalo dishes and every savory wonderful tender mouthwatering bite was top shelf! Also offering great craft cocktails, other beers and wine and wonderful desserts, take yourself, take your partner, take your family, take your friend and treat yourself and any guest to a fantastic experience! Another Best of Seattle winner in an historic building that makes the entire experience unforgettable!!

We went because we have really enjoyed rock creek and had heard great reviews. On the positive side they practiced good social distancing. But it was a put off that they said that the max we could stay is 90 minutes. Food was OK - not as good as I anticipated based on reviews. Portions were ample - in fact the eggplant appetizer was a meal. Nothing was over the top mouth watering. It was unpleasantly loud - music was especially loud given the acoustics of the space and the loud din of voices - I would hate to hear the level of noise if the tables were chockablock.

My husband and I were there last night for the first time. We ask for olive oil besides butter, our server looks somewhat horrified. My bison steak was under cook when I asked for medium. I had to send it back but our server was not at all please ! Again, my steak came back still undercook,so I gave it to my husband. Our waitress heard me so she turn around in disgust and walk away. I understand most steak house like to cook their meat rare, but I prefer my not undercook. Not only they can't honor my request, our server walk away. I feel unwelcome there ! I have been in many fancy restaurant and all over the world, this one definitely top my list for feeling not welcome and undesirable !

We had dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed all the different menu options they had. Food was excellent and the presentation was great

We were a party of four adults and two children we had reservations and upon arrival we were seated ASAP . It was absolutely delightful the area where we got to sit down because he was upstairs and there was a bench and the kids were very happy. It’s not a place that has french fries so if you think you’re going to be able to serve french fries to your kids wrong. Anyway everything that we had was delicious . I did take pictures of everything and one was better than the other. Prices I thought were very fair. Food was creative and I would return without any hesitation. Not one complaint.

We came here as a couple and enjoyed the food and service. Like others have said, plates are meant to be shared. We enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, confit salad, lamb sausage, and gnocchi. This was a good amount for two hungry people. The gnocchi would be highly recommended by both of us. Yummy cocktails too! Only negative, It is loud so it takes a little work to hear your table.

Came here for dinner for the 1st time and really enjoyed it. We liked the ambiance and it wasn't too loud like their sister restaurant, Rock Creek, is. They also seem to have a little more parking than Rock Creek although you might still have to locate street parking. We loved the variety of the menu and the fabulous food! Lots of game meats so we tried the boar pasta, elk, duck confit and venison pate. We felt that their presentation was excellent and the food was excellent! I should also add that their service was excellent as well. We ordered the peach prosciutto appetizer to start and we thought it lacked something. I expected it to have burrata on it and it didn't and the peaches weren't peaches - they were nectarines (not to be too picky) but hey they make up their menu every day and call out every item in the dish so just sayin'.... We thought that they could use more than 3 dessert choices. We ordered the banana split and molten chocolate cake. I personally thought that the peanut butter ice cream overpowered the molten chocolate cake and so I did not like that dessert but I liked the other one. If you are a reese peanut butter fan you might like the molten lava cake dessert. Just like their sister restaurant, no espresso (only coffee). Also, no soda machine, just coke out of the can. They didn't have many nicer port options also and they are using topo chico (the most contaminated of the sparkling waters) so we feel like they could work on their drink choices. Two of our party had cocktails and they were excellent. We felt that the price was fair for the quality of the food which is rare to find these days. We will be back...! :-)

Good food from start to finish. The bison was recommended cooked to medium rare, which was barely warm. But my fault for not checking what they meant by that first. Service...UGH. What a disappointment. 9:30 on a Saturday night and no room at any table. Not a problem, as we prefer to sit at the bar. But instead was say at the "rail" which faced away from the bar and into the restaurant. It was fine as a seat goes. However, because there are tables in front of the rail, the waiter had to come up behind us to deliver food, etc. But instead of coming around to either side of my boyfriend or I, he repeatedly came in between us, several times touching our backs to announce his arrival. Completely unacceptable. Speak up, come around the sides of us, or come up with some other way. This was not a young inexperienced waiter either. Really uncomfortable.

I ate here on a Saturday night with my family and the food was fantastic. We started with a variety of salads. Each salad was perfectly balanced and beautifully served. For dinner I had the braised short rib hash, my father-in-law ate the bison hanger steak and my wife had the salmon. Every dish was cooked to perfection. We also came with our children and the restaurant was more than willing to simplify the salmon dish and to serve the side order of potato gnocchi as a main course for the kids. The service was professional and courteous. I would highly recommend a visit.

We came here to try the new place in our neighborhood and had a great meal. Service was attentive (though they charged for club soda refills which seems pretty ridiculous). Food was great. We had the burrata squash appetizer and it was to die for. The meats we had for our main courses we cooked to order - I tried bison steak and found it as good as beef. It's not cheap to eat here but worth it if you want a nice cut of meat and not have to go downtown for it.

We came here to celebrate a birthday, and we were very impressed! The drink list was extensive, and all of our drinks were excellent. We did some sharing of our meals, and we all agreed that everything was cooked to perfection! My husband likes his steak a tad more medium to medium rare, and they did it precisely the way he likes it. The rest of us opted for medium rare and these were done perfectly as well. The Pommes Dauphinoise were an absolute hit! I would love to try to replicate this recipe. We were there on a Friday evening, so it was busy, but we never felt rushed and our server was excellent. We will absolutely come back!

We always forget how much we like this place. We made reservations to sit at the bar and enjoyed getting tips from Maria the bartender on what was good to eat and drink. I had the Desert Rose and my partner had a Martinez. The drinks were fabulous. The Lamb Tartare, Prosciutto & Burrata, and Fennel Braised Wild Boar Shoulder were all absolutely amazing. I paced myself so that I had room for the Molten Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream. I am already trying to figure out when we will be back.

Do not miss this place if you are visiting Seattle. Greenwood is a charming, established northern suburb of Seattle that probably won't be on most visitors' lists of places to see. But it should be if even just to dine at Flint Creek Cattle Co. My partner and I were looking for an enjoyable dining experience without the white table cloth fuss. We knew we'd found the right place as soon as we spied Flint Creek on the corner of the street across from our cab. Enter the restaurant to find a beautifully designed space over two floors with the mezzanine overlooking a well-stocked bar and the main dining floor. The lighting is on the dim side but the tables are correspondingly intimate and comfortable. The service was excellent with our waitress refusing to give up on us despite our continual procrastination over the menu. Both food menu is, as the restaurant's name implies, meat-oriented. We had the bison hanger steak for novelty value and the Oregon lamb neck. Both were sublime - cooked to perfection and ably complemented with vegetables al-dente. We shared our dishes and loved every mouthful. The wine list is superlative - one of the best I have ever seen anywhere and which gives appropriate tribute to local wines. Having enjoyed ourselves so much we retreated to the bar after dinner for a nightcap and were treated to an absolutely perfect whisky recommendation from the very knowledgeable bartender, Bryan. We had a wonderful night here and would have no hesitation trekking out to Greenwood again to repeat the experience.

We've been twice now for happy hour and sat at the bar. Bartenders have been great. The happy hour menu is now our favorite: delicious burger, mussels, grilled eggplant. I've heard the venison is amazing. One downside is there is little on the menu for a vegetarian, which I realize is not a huge deal at a steakhouse. Also would be nice to have some kind of french fry/starchy side on the menu.

Yes and No - the brunch was decent, but nothing amazing. The dinner we went to about a month ago was delicious, so we were bummed that the brunch was pretty average and nothing to write home about. The service was solid - attentive and noticed we were talking / catching up and appropriately interrupted to make sure we were noticed and felt like we were in control of our dining experience. I put a note that it was my wife's birthday, but there was not any acknowledgment until the very end when we were leaving. i was a little bummed, most restaurants ask if we're celebrating when i make a note and at least welcome / wish a happy meal upon arrival.

My wife and I visited this past week, taking our 89-year-old friend out for his birthday. He ordered the "boar" dish (pork with fennel); I ordered a medium rare filet with a side of asparagus, and my wife had the sea bass. Service was attentive and pretty quick for the crowd they were serving ... The chef uses quite a bit of pepper/spices on his dishes; fine for me and my wife but too much for our friend. The staff comped us on the too-spicy boar and brought him some less-spicy chicken. Otherwise the only downside was the place is TOO LOUD ... conversation is difficult and my wife has a special challenge with it. Bill was $162 for the three of us, including one glass of wine and no desserts (although they looked delicious!)

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner. The restaurant has great atmosphere in an easy to get to neighborhood. We shared a couple of appetizers and then everyone had a main course. While we ere eating the GM came bu to make sure everything was going well. Good food and good service

I...really wasn't that impressed with this place at all. Like many other yelpers, I waited in anticipation after putting in my order and was disappointed with each and every dish that was presented to us. We ordered the Duck Confit, Wild Boar Gnocchi, Hangar Steak, a side of veggies and the banana split as a dessert. The duck confit was the most disappointing of the bunch. It was way overcooked so ended up being a dry piece of meat on a crappy bed of lentils. The only redeeming factor of this dish was the picked onions, though there was only one. The wild boar gnocchi looked promising as well but the flavor was very lacking and the meat was chewy at best. The gnocchi had a good texture to it but I would say if you're a gnocchi enthusiast, you should try The List. They have an awesome gnocchi dish that's way better tasting and much cheaper! The hangar steak was actually the best out of all three. Cooked just right at medium rare and had good flavor. We only wish there was more meat to it! We finished off with a banana split dessert that was very well done. The brownie at the bottom was very moist and creamy. You can definitely taste all the oil and butter that went into it. Our meal with drinks came out to about $150+ for two people. For the price we paid, I felt like we could have had a more consistent experience @ a real steakhouse like Sullivan's or maybe even The List or Mistral's for American food. It was OK, and the only thing I would want to come back to try would be the other steaks on the menu, but I probably wouldn't be recommending to friends.

Last night we dined here for our joint birthday dinner and let’s just say...it was worth the drive from Issaquah! The menu is geared toward carnivores...lamb, elk, duck, boar, and different cuts of meat. We shared the BLT salad as an appetizer and I ordered the hangar steak. The BLT salad was freaking awesome! Thick piece of pork belly on top of a tomato steak with greens. Yum! And the hangar steak was very tender so and flavorful. It was a little overcooked for my taste but still tender. Finally a great restaurant in the Greenwood area!

We were looking forward to a great steak on my wife's birthday and this was our first visit. I guess we were expecting something more intimate and romantic. It is very noisy and was like eating at a bus station. Plenty of exotic selections in the menu, although nothing but the steak was appealing to us. We shared a 12 oz and still brought some home. Steak was cooked just as we ordered. Service was quite good. For an expensive dinner out we would go somewhere else next time. Maybe better for a younger crowd.

Been there three times now: twice for drinks and small plates and once for a full meal. The service is top-notch and all the items I've tried were fantastic. Lamb tartar is my favorite so far. The deserts are scrumptious as well. Great ambiance.

Met some friends for dinner. Great cocktails and tasty food. Something for everyone whether you want a simple steak or something a little more adventurous. Don’t forget to save rooms for dessert.

There are not a lot of good steak houses or restaurants with a large selection of delicious meats in Seattle. Then there are even fewer North of the city. Who would of thought in the middle of Greenwood would be such a relaxing upscale restaurant that actually feels like a night out? Flintcreek has really got it together. From the high ceilings, big windows and very pro service. The side dishes as well as main dishes are put together in that way that actually fills you up with flavor AND size. They are perfect for sharing. The endive salad was by far my favorite. The cauliflower (be warned) could serve 4 easily. Thank you Flintcreek for making a birthday dinner in the middle of the week feel like a weekend night in a big city restaurant. You had me at the photography on the walls. (I wanted to sneak out with the one with the buffalo being fed and the baby watching)

The food was simply horrible. It was awful, all I could taste of my wild boar was the fennel, and the duck confit was simply gross. The only saving grace was this was the best mule I had on the trip.

Food was amazing and service great! Presentation of dishes was beautiful and tasted fabulous. The night before we ate at their sister restaurant Rockcreek and loved it there as well!

My son picked Flintcreek for his birthday dinner. It was our first time there. Menu is not huge but everything we had was very good. For starters, we had the prosciutto plate and venison pate. They also charge $8 for bread and butter, which while good, was a questionable value at that price. I had the pork chop which was delicious. This entree came with grits, of which I am not a fan. They stated that they could not substitute side dishes but were more than willing to put the grits on a separate plate. I traded someone else for their gnocchi. Makes you wonder why restaurants have these rules. Everyone else was very happy with with their entrees. Shared a couple of desserts which were also very good. Pacing of the food and service was excellent. Cocktails were also excellent with western themed names. Very good dinner but a pretty spendy evening.

Before attending a Taproot play we decided to try the popular Flintcreek Cattle Co. We weren't disappointed. My trolled fresh salmon was perfectly cooked and tasty. A friend enjoyed the accompanying clams and my side of green beans were as good as can be. Two friends enjoyed the wild boar, the other the short rib hash. Though the presentation is average, the food is outstanding. Yet, as wonderful as the entrees were, the desserts, particularly the banana splits, were fabulous.

My wife, daughter and I had dinner here before going to the local theatre for a Christmas play. The staff was very attentive and asked if we had any time constraints due to the play. We did not. We ordered a bottle of their Gassier dry rose and it was very good. I know this is a beef titled restaurant, but we went off script. We shared the Baby Gem Lettuce salad. My wife ordered the Dijon Marinated Mad Hatcher Chicken, my daughter ordered the Wild Mushroom Bolognese and I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. The pasta was good, but the chicken and sea bass were both excellent.

Had some really delicious game meats here such as the Bison Hanger Steak and the wild boar shoulder. Really good vegetable dishes like the pickled vegetables with blue cheese tahini sauce.

We had driven by this restaurant a few times in the last couple of months and finally decided to give it a try. Although parking was a challenge, the dining experience made up for those troubles. My husband and I both had the steak filet. Both were cooked beautifully with a nice crust. The herb butter that draped the steak was full of flavor. We enjoyed the endive salad with bits of walnuts and bacon. Brûléed banana sundae was a tasty ending with sweet caramelized pecans. Wine selection was decent, but would have liked to have seen prosecco or cava. Portion sizes are quite small for the price. Because the entrees are a la carte, we ordered the appetizers and side dishes as if they were shareable. I could have eaten the whole endive salad and the roasted carrot side dish only had 5-6 small carrots. Quality over quantity, though—all in all a great meal and great service. We will be back.

We recently enjoyed a birthday celebration with a couple friends. This was my 2nd time here and just like the last, the food & service were great. Everything I had was delicious and somehow I managed to squeeze in some dessert because it was hard to pass up.

I'll admit, I've been excited for this place to open ever since it became clear that the space was going to be used for a restaurant, and I was even more excited to find out that it was going to serve more than just beef, chicken, and fish. We're talking lamb, venison, and bison... a little variety in the protein department. Well, I finally got a chance to go, and it was great! The cocktails were delicious. I got a Riot Act - a rye-based cocktail with absinthe, Benedictine, and one or two other things in it, and it was out of this world! Potent, too - I recommend only one if you're driving later. My buddy got a cocktail based on rosemary-infused gin, and he really enjoyed that as well. For my entrée, I got the Maui venison loin. It was beautifully prepared and garnished with a cranberry gastrique that really complimented the meat. The dessert menu was sparse (only 4 choices), but things sounded great. In the end, though, I opted to spare my waistline (a little), and just have a coffee. Will go back!

We recently ate at Flint Creek and the meal and service were outstanding! We dine out fairly regularly and have eaten in some great restaurants elsewhere in North America and Europe. Our meal at Flint Creek ranks as one of the best. Everything we ate that night was perfectly prepared and presented. The BLT salad we had for one of our starters had pork belly slabs (!) and the dressing was amazing. Creamy and a perfect complement to the greens, tomato, and pork. The Lamb Tartare was excellent, very flavorful and not the least bit gamey. The kitchen really hit its stride with the Bison Hanger Steak which was perfectly prepared and the sauce that accompanied it could not have been better. Duck Confit came next and while it may have been a bit dry to my liking, the spicing was spot on. Very flavorful. The scallops were nothing short of amazing, which might surprise you since this is a meat and potatoes kind of place until you remember that Rock Creek, one of Seattle’s premier seafood restaurants, is its sister operation. One comment on the wait staff. These folks know their business. Mara was our head server and she was both funny and informative. All of the recommendations she gave us, from beverages through our meal selections were excellent. The rest of the wait staff helped make sure we had our water glasses filled and finished plates removed promptly without being overbearing. An evening at Flint Creek (we spent about two and a half hours on our meal) is not an inexpensive night on the town, but it’s not outrageously over the top, either. For planning purposes, assume about a C note per person and you should be in the ballpark.

We dined on the day after Christmas and the place was busy. Some of the menu items were not available. We started with Belgian endives with bacon, cheese and walnuts. Next we had roasted squash with cheese and pistachios. Both were excellent. The wine was delivered late. Our entrees were tasty: bison hangar steak; wild boar shoulder with gnocchi; lamb patty with veggies. The chai ice cream on pumpkin wafer was fun. The after dinner drink also came somewhat late.

Why did they need to sit us next to the toilets on the second floor when during our entire dinner the main floor had plenty of space ? The food was great, the service was excellent although huried. So why spoil a possible great dinner with the worst seats in the house. Maybe because we are not American ?

I read all the amazing reviews so was excited about trying this restaurant out for my husband’s birthday. We all enjoyed our dinner, but maybe due to the high expectations, we were not blown away. We came for the steaks, and they came slightly overdone. If you avoid dairy (cheese/yogurt) and don’t care for Brussels sprouts, there are no sides available to go with the steaks. Yum fries with a glaze would be a nice option, or maybe just the fingerling potatoes available with other mains would be a nice side to be able to pick with the cuts. Service was nice, flavors in all other dishes great, no complaints there. The atmosphere is “lofty”, which I liked, but my husband found it a bit cold (especially compared to your old school steak house like the Met). The filet mignon that was rather well done was even taken of the bill, which we appreciated. The dessert menu didn’t address us though, all seemed a bit on the heavy side. So overall, no regrets, but will keep searching for the favorite special restaurant.

Cannot go wrong with this place. Hip, sedate, accommodating and so good. Came here and got the burger and mussels with our happy libations. Wonderful service at the bar from the tender and the manager. The mussels were SWEET! And large. Would return here whenever in the area.

Nice restaurant with interesting dishes. The name is a little misleading as they have very little beef. Service is good, prices on the high side. Portions are small.

I've lived in Greenwood for 7 years now and have been eagerly awaiting Flintcreek Cattle Co's opening. Took my wife there for dinner a few weeks back and it was phenomenal. I had the New York Strip Bison Steak and it easily rivals any steak that I've ever had. I've eaten at all of Seattle's major steak restaurants and I would take this at $35 any day. It was melt in your mouth good. Also had Warm Duck Confit (amazing) and the Brown Butter Bourbon Pudding (also amazing). Drinks were top notch as well - I had the coffinhead. Definitely check this place out. I definitely would expect a boisterous atmosphere, however, as it is fairly loud - and that's fine.

A birthday celebration dinner with family. We enjoyed the (not in this order) - Belgian Endive, bacon lardon, walnuts, shallots, banyuls vinaigrette, blue d'auvergne Split Roasted Mad Hatcher Chicken, chanterelle mushroom soubise, smoked bacon, sage, fall quince Anderson Ranch Oregon Lamb Crepinette, hazelnut romesco, caramelized romanesco, lemon-herb salad Wild Mushroom Bolognese, fresh campanelle, garlic, sage, nutmeg, liason, parsley, parmesan Sauteed Green Beans, ginger, shallot, bacon lardon, ginger-soy glaze, sesame, bonito flake We did not enjoy the - Venison Pâté, English pickle relish, shallots, radish, herb salad, grilled baguette – the pate was far too dense and required a very sharp knife to dissect 8 oz. Meyer Ranch MT Filet Mignon – beautiful presentation but it tasted sturdily of tuna fish that (per the server) had been grilled on the la plancha the previous night The ambience was very loud but did taper off as the first sitting well dissipated Service was irregular but attentive and the server did remove the filet “tuna fish” mignon from the bill and comped the Belgian endive salad give an order input error. All that said, we will likely dine there again.

Fantastic night. Food was amazing. Steak was melt in your mouth and service was superb. Wines and menu were extensive and all food was excellent. Really enjoyable night.

The ambience of this restaurant feels very Vegas. It's wonderful to find upscale dining outside of downtown Seattle! The chef has created an extremely unique menu. Service is professional and our food arrived very quickly. The bison hangar steak and rib eye were outstanding! The brussels sprout side dish was laced with dill; a very different combination that surprisingly works. For dessert, I highly recommend the lemon posset. It is the perfect blend of taste, texture and presentation. Terrific place for a date, special occasion, and anything else you can think of!

I drive by this restaurant every day on my way to work and followed its transition from antique shop to restaurant in a historic building on the street corner. I was always curious about the food and we finally went there with friends. The restaurant is busy and very lively, but not too loud. There is an upstairs area as well I did not know about. We brought our own wine and I found the $30 corkage a little steep, however our server was awesome. He was attentive and made sure we had a great experience. We shared apps which were really good, my wife and I had the gnocchi (see attached picture), our friends had the pork chop and a steak. The gnocchi portions were really small for the $25 we paid for it, the pork chop was huge and the steak very good. We will certainly go back there, a great neighborhood place in Greenwood.

Great food, fun atmosphere and they had an extensive cocktail list including some great NA drinks on the menu. We would definitely go back

We went to celebrate our son's 18th birthday with his grandparents who were in town for the holidays. Service was great--moved us from near the door when asked because it was too cold for my mother-in-law. The food was solid--I loved my bison hanger steak and my son's rib-eye was awesome. The wild boar shoulder was ok(had a bite). The cauliflower side was delicious. I would definitely return.

Met friends here on a recent trip. Their choice. Excellent. Not downtown (which is becoming tiresome) but easy to find. Great meats and fish. My wife said her halibut was the best she's had.

The short rib hash was not what I expected but it was excellent. My husband raved about the wild boar and the chicken was highly acclaimed. Good salads too but the chocolate cake dessert was a must. Fun place. Will be back.
Casual Atmosphere, Excellent Food
The pleasant, casual ambience suggests a neighborhood bar and grill, but the food and attentive, intelligent service puts this place on a par with Seattle’s best restaurants. Don’t look for cheap eats here: everything is a la carte. At a steakhouse, you certainly hope that the media entrées will be solid and well prepared. They are. I think that what elevates this place is creative and delicious sides. The salads and vegetable sides are fresh and delicious. If you had ever told me I would be writing a restaurant review, raving about green beans, I would’ve laughed at you, but there you are. The service is pleasant, attentive, and well-trained. If there is a weakness here, I would say that the dessert menu could use some work. It isn’t bad, just not up to the standard of the rest. This restaurant is on our new short list of special dinner places and I would forward to our next meal there.
