Nice spot, must try the Pork Wings

By David G |

I had high expectations for this place from reviews and recommendations and we were not disappointed. Our group liked the pizzas and I must say the pork wings were a standout. Like having chicken wings only meatier and tastier. Had the buffalo, the teriyaki, and the bbq and all were great. This is a nice casual spot in the south loop that is well worth a try.

Great food and drinks

By Leo |

An awesome blend of Polish and Italian fare, located just a block south of the Roosevelt stop. Atmosphere is casual pub. We went there for a late lunch and there was plenty of open seats. Can assume that it would be packed during game days, especially the Bears. We got the Pierogi Sampler, Cheddar Waffle Fries, and Ravirogi and they were all great! The Ravirogi sauce is impressive and I would recommend it on anything they make. They also offer it as a side you can order! Great food, location, and atmosphere. Will be back for sure!

Good food!

By keperk2017 |

The food here is varied and tasty! The bars id great too!The flying pork wings are one of my favorites. My husband really likes their pizza!(It's actually on one of the pizza tours in the city) I really love the pretzel bun with the hamburger!

Great Patio

By Casey G |

The food is awesome and they always have a good rotating beer menu. The service can be slow so come when you aren't in a hurry and are looking to spend some time outside. I haven't had a pizza that I didn't like. I also recommend the onion ring tower.

Phenomenal! A must when in Chicago!

By Amanda |

Walked in and was quickly seated. Has a massively delicious menu. The pierogi platter was like butta!! Also ordered Flo's Polska Kielbasa and it was beyond delicious! Servers kind & helpful. Would highly recommend!

Polish and Pizza - Yum

By Mike M |

What a great combination. Went with a bunch of friends after DePaul game. Great assortment of pierogi followed by Flo’s Polish pizza - sauerkraut and Polish sausage!!! Fantastic. Huge selection of beers and vodka. Lively atmosphere.

Packed with flavor

By jgflys |

We ordered the Flo's Polish pizza which has kiebasa, sauerkraut, and apple wood smoked bacon on it for carry out. Wow is it packed with flavor. Its not for the faint of heart but we both really enjoyed it. Every is different from the last and it left us wanting more.

quick meal in a new neighborhood

By Michael D |

wanted to check out the south loop dining scene and this was our first choice. interesting menu, which seems to demand several return visits. service was to the point and our meals were as expected. Nothing to be raved about, but, no shortcomings either. As expected and worth a return visit.

Great food, slightly slow service

By Katie D |

Great thin-crust pizza, with a well-priced lunch special. The s'mores pizza dessert is very good; the calamari is also quite tasty. Service was slow for the number of patrons.

Awesome Gem!

By McKGil |

Service was iffy, but the food was amazing. I'm so sick of the usual Chicago style pizza and this hits the spot. Don't even get me started on the perogies, I can't wait to go back!

Try a Polish Pizza

By Mar L |

Visited with my Polish in-laws. This is a fun lively place, kind of a Polish/Italian sports bar. The service here is excellent. Especially for a casual-type place. The "Polish pizza" was excellent even if polish sausage and sauerkraut sound strange for a pizza. The "pork wings" were also outstanding, very meaty, great sauce. Lots of TV's if you like that kind of thing. The chopped salad was not very chopped, however, and the plate it is served on is too small so it is hard to enjoy. overall, very good. Also, $3 tall boys on Tuesdays a great deal.

After the Draft

By ibwhte |

A group of us walked over to Flo and Santos friday night after the NFL draft for something to eat The place was hopping ( friday 1030pm ) and we only waited about 10 minutes for our group of 12 We started out with lots of cold beverages and then a couple kilbassa plates ( sausage/kraut/potato pancake/pierogy ) and then we had a bunch of pizzas ( italian / kilbassa / chix bbq / shrimp pesto ) the italian was the best of the 4 Service was great and you cant beat the atmospher Great spot in the south loop area

Can't go wrong with Flo & Santos

By Mike O |

My son and I visited Chicago from Florida for the Bears Jags game and looked for some authentic Polish food. We were lucky to find Flo & Santos nearby. Great pierogis. Great pizza. And we were thrilled to find Zywiec on tap! Our waitress was very friendly and we got to meet the owner who is an awesome guy. He hooked us up with some Zywiec glasses to make the visit unforgettable. You definitely need to stop in, relax, enjoy yourself with fantastic food, beer and people. Nazdrovie!

Great stop after the Shedd

By Erik N |

Wanted something easy after a day at the Shedd. Great beer selection and was lucky to be there on a $3.50 draft special day. Apps came out fast and were delicious. Pizza was crispy and full of flavor. Kid friendly space and lots of tvs for sports fans. Service was good. I would definitely go back here!

Wow.

By Steve V |

We tried two pies here as part of Chicago Pizza Tours. The Sauerkraut/Polish Sausage and the Italian Beef. The Italian Beef was the more powerful of the two with quite a spicy punch and a great beef flavor. The Sauerkraut was my favorite with a much more mellow and sophisticated flavor than I expected. Both were great surprises in a town full of great pizza. Excellent.

Amazing!

By SDS |

Try the Pierogi Sampler as an appetizer or as a meal itself. It’s amazing. I wouldn’t want to share it personally. It’s that good. Then top it off with the Paczki (Polish donuts) for dessert. OMG!

Pizza & Onion Rings

By arlfoster |

Loved the Pineapple Pizza, and the onion ring stack was delish! Only negative was feeling rushed by the staff.

Holy pierogi!!!

By Anthony F |

The ravirogi dish was excellent. It combines Italian home cooking with pierogi instead of ravioli. It's Poland meets Italy which combined equals a unique dish that I have yet to see before. My wife, and I agree after I tasted it myself, proclaims the best margarita she has ever had!!!! Outdoor seating was a pleasant surprise and even on the warmest days you are greeted with refreshing Windy City breeze. Reasonably priced and within walking distance of museum campus.

Chicago Bears Pre-game

By brianwisniewski |

Great place to attend before a Chicago Bears game. Reasonable prices, great pizza and some Polish food on the menu. On game day the restaurant opens at 9am…should be able to get a table until about 10am, then after that time it can be challenging. One of the closest restaurants near Soldier Field…about 15-20 minute walk. Pizza creates a solid base for a Bloody Mary and a few beers on game day.

Who would have thought to put these together!

By STLDood |

We wanted to check this place out just for fun because we love Italian food and also love Polish food. It did not disappoint! Service was great in this cute little restaurant and the food was awesome! What an excellent combination of two types of food. We had something called a raviogi (combination ravioli and peroghi) that was incredible. Also had the Polish Sampler and the Kielbasa was very good. We'll be back!

Great spot!

By Barbara W |

If you think you don't like crazy pizzas think again. Reluctantly tried a pizza with polish sausage and sauropod kraut. Fantastic! May very well become my favorite. I was married to an Italian so I do know good pizza. The Italian beef with gardinere pizza was also very tasty.

pizza and Polish awesome!

By zebrazeb |

this place is awesome. great thin crust pizza. lots of Polish items on menu, and standard fair. out die seating in front, and side garden. great place.

Nice, with indoor and outdoor seating

By AvWriter |

We dropped in with the family for lunch. They were able to seat the 5 of us with no problem at all. Two of our party ordered and shared a pizza, which was good. I had their Chicken on Ciabatta, which was very tasty - 2 chicken breasts on 1 bun, with cheese and other good tasty things. Yum! The beer selection was pretty good, including some 3 Floyds products. Service was good, and busy. They kept moving, and kept our glasses filled. All in all, a nice place on Wabash.

Pizza and Pierogis

By Sharon M |

We went mid afternoon for a late lunch. The menu has Polish food and pizza/Italian food. We ordered the pierogi sampler and a large pizza for the 5 of us. The pierogis were light and crispy served with great applesauce and sour cream. The pizza must have been cooked in a wood burning oven. It was crispy with a slight smoker flavor and was delicious! There wasn't a bite left. They also have a pineapple margarita that everyone said they would order again. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We will come back.

Interesting pizza options!

By holidaycoco |

Polish sausage on pizza,.. yes can do at Flo & Santos! Very interesting pizza options, wary at first but appreciated. I actually like how they experiment with their toppings. A smores pizza is a great dessert pizza. Get ready to get sticky fingers. Place looks cool and they have a great service as well. There wasn't a long wait, which made me very happy indeed!

Pork wings

By Brian Hopewell |

Sunday bunch w/spouse and her brother and his spouse. And our dog, a mildly manic 5 year old Wheaten terrier. Sat out on the patio. Glad for the shade. Conversation punctuated every 15 mins by rumble of passing L. Local friends suggested the pork wings. You get 5. They're large. Very tasty. Polish beer's available to go with the Polish platter. Phenomenal pierogi. kielbasa to kill for, spud pancake, apple sauce. Spouse had a Bloody Mary. Great kick to it. Waitress was both sweet and fast. Took good care of the dog. I hear this is a great place to watch football, if you like football.

Excellent pre-game location

By mcsc-squared |

Great place to get together before a Bears game. We sat outside and loved the heat lamps. Very good pizza, good service and bathrooms were pretty clean considering the rush

Italian and Polish?! Either way it's good!

By Richard S |

Walking past Flo and Santo's, the place looked packed, and the thin crust pizzas were flying out of the oven! I went back the next night for pierogi platter...pretty good. An assortment of pierogi over a bed of delicious sauerkraut. I was under the impression that pierogi were like potstickers, but these were lightly fried after boiled, I guess I was wrong, but all good anyway. A large variety of craft brews can be had also. Nice crowd, huge dining area and good service! Unfortunately, I broke part of a molar which was disturbing but it didn't hurt. Other than that it was a good experience.

Intersesting Combo

By MichaelE9 |

Flo and Santos offers and interesting combination of Polish and Italian. They are offered separately or in the case of the Pizza together. We had the pierogi platter which was done just the way I like them..crispy on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. I prefer the sauerkraut and potato, the meat option did nothing for me. We also tried the pork wings which were meaty and terrific. We went with the buffalo style and they were flavorful and had no fat to speak of. We also tried the polish platter which had pierogi, sauerkraut, potato pancakes and a big honkin link of smoked polish. The potato pancakes were crisp on the outside and fluffy potatoey on the inside, very good. The polish was of a cheap variety found at art fairs and street fests in the city. It would be better with a higher quality sausage. Our server Rebecca was very good and next time we will try the pizza which looked like terrific thin crust Chicago pizza and smelled even better. They offer a nice variety of tap beer.

take-out pizza and appetizer were undercooked

By Nick A |

Called and spoke to nick, the assistant manager and he was flat-out rude and said he wasn't going to replace our food. He was abrasive and aggressive to me, its very sad, this place was once a a neighborhood treasure of the south loop.

Good food, but the service stinks...

By DJR1250 |

We waited for a table for 6 to be set up, but the hostess seated another group of 6 ahead of us. When I complained, she apologized and took us to a table outside. It was still dirty and said she would have it cleaned right away. Waiting...waiting...waiting. Finally, someone came to clean the table so we sat. Waiting...waiting...waiting...about 15 minutes later I went to get menus and ask if out server was going to come get our drink order. The food was very good, but on a windy day do NOT eat outside!!!!! There was a sandy grit being blown around and it was almost unbearable. It got in our food and made the experience completely terrible.

Fine bar food

By jananded |

We enjoyed our meal here. Nothing fancy but good service. The staff is friendly and service was good. Everyone had sandwiches and they were all good

Surprisingly good

By Barbara C |

My husband and I go to the yoga studio next door and we decided, after hearing the life music filtering over, to try Flo and Santos. Large craft beer selection. Great pizza and sandwiches. Lovely outdoor seating. Lively yet able to have conversations. Attentive staff.

Great South Loop Local Place

By EMSCHO23 |

Met family and friends prior to the Saints/Bears game. What a treat! The place was packed with fans from both teams, and it made for a great experience. We had the Onion ring tower, Italian Beef special pizza with ghost pepper cheese and the Ravioli. All in all, a great experience. Nice job Flo and Santo's!

Bar food with a twist

By Mike41157 |

Came for lunch and really enjoyed their fare plus the chance to sample Polish vodkas in a flight. They list all their offerings on chalk boards above the bar. Food is tasty and portions are good sized. The wait staff is on top of things as soon as you walk in and very friendly. The area is huge with tables and booths in the front and also as you walk towards the back where the restrooms are. We enjoyed everything we had and would definitely return.

Fun place, friendly atmosphere and tasty food

By triciam214 |

Had a great dinner meal with my family. This is a great place for friends, family, groups--kid-friendly. Our server made recommendations and they were great. We got the pierogi sampler which was delicious. We also got the suggested Italian beef pizza--very good. There is a kids menu. Portions are generous and prices are in the middle. Great beer selection. Fun place; recommended!

Outstanding

By marsands2016 |

Outstanding food and service at very reasonable prices. Everything our family ordered was so good. My son’s burger was perfectly cooked and generously portioned. My wife’s pasta was delicious. I had s sampler platter which was a great combination of a variety of things. Drink specials were awesome. Service was so quick and friendly. The atmosphere was really cool. Our only regret was not having pizza as it looked incredible! Cannot wait to return.

Nice Local Neighborhood Pizza Place

By Globaljoan |

Very good service, food was fine, good menu choice. Outside is next to the El which can be charming as well as noisy when going by.

Great casual dining

By K.S. |

We got in to Chicago very late on a Thursday night; too late to make our other reservation at another restaurant and we just happened to walk by Flo & Santos and went in. The pizza was excellent- even the leftovers I ate the next morning were good. Our server was fast and friendly and our food was great. Definitely a great spot for casual dining!

Between Chicago and Poland

By Babette Axel |

Particular appearance, typically American environment, cheerful atmosphere, but dishes that wink at Poland. Delicious pierogies, as are the sandwiches, in their different fillings. Ideal for immersing yourself in the atmosphere of a typical Chicago venue.

Pizza delivery

By Jeff B |

My wife and I felt like a lazy day so we ordered pizza from here. I am not a fan of Chicago style pizza so we were glad to find they offered a thinner crust. I'd say the crust is like a hand toss and it was crispy, chewy with a little bit of char so great texture and flavor. The cheese blend was tasty and plentiful. We ordered a sausage with giardiniera which added some spice and acid to cut through the richness. It was event tasty warmed up. A nice surprise.

Great Find

By maureen r |

Was visiting our Daughter and Grandson in Chicago and she suggested this place. Was a great mix of polish and pizza and Italian. We started with calamari and the pierogi apps and had a family size pizza. Everything was delicious and the beers and drinks had a good selection. Very affordable for Chicago would definitely return.

Pizza with the family

By kedkap |

Visited this establishment with our family for pizza and beer. The atmosphere was noises and pub like. Very enjoyable. We ordered beer and 2 pizzas for our group of 5. The service was fast and efficient. The pizza crust was very thin and quite tasty. We enjoyed our experience and would return again.

Great neighborhood pub

By DJR1250 |

We live around the corner from this place and stop in for a relaxing dinner from time to time. Last night we stopped in for dinner and asked ourselves why we don't come here more. Flo & Santos has a very pizza with fresh ingredients and I love the thin crust on the pizza. The sauce is a bit tangy for my taste, but I still like it. Check out their waffle fries with scallions, bacon and cheese. Yum! Our server, Crystal, could not have been nicer and did an excellent job.

Good Gourmet Pizza and Authentic Polish Food

By BobAltman |

The restaurant itself had remarkable ambiance. As soon as my family and I arrived, we were seated in one of the best spots; these people prioritize their customers! For ordering food, get the Flo's Polish Pizza. The idea of Polish kielbasa and sauerkraut on a pizza may seem unappealing, but let me reassure you that it was a treat for my palate. However, the salads their are not very fresh so don't bother getting a salad. Pizza or their peirogi platter is your best option. Their beer selection is also very tasteful.

Need more staff

By Epiffier |

Went in on a Monday and the place was not packed but had guests. No host at the host stand but a server greeted us and said we could sit anywhere. Decided to sit outside where we waited almost 15 minutes for water then another 10 minutes for a server. While watching the table next to us have their order taken and then their food come before our order was taken was quite upsetting. It was obvious they were understaffed and it was completely understandable. Lack of communication with no host to inform whom sat first was the reason for this. Our server took our order and it came out quickly. We ordered the waffle fries and a large pizza. Can I just say how amazing their spicy ketchup is!!! YUMMM!! Once we got our order everything was great. I only give this high of a review due to the fact that the entire staff was working very hard and still had smiles on their faces. I will be back!

Ok lunch close to Field museum

By Elina E |

This is fairly close to the museum and would be a better option than the options offered in the museum. You can even find Polish dishes on the menu. Good place.

Nice experience.

By Ed C |

We met some friends here since we decided we did not want to do any of the touristy places. The pork wings are amazing and a must try. Moist and tasty meat fell off the bone. We had 2 family size pizzas for 6 of us and it was plenty. We also had the s’mores pizza for dessert. They were pretty good. It’s a bit pricey but not bad for a metropolitan restaurant. I would go again.

3rd Stop on our Chicago Pizza Tour!

By MiracuLYSS |

The atmosphere is young and hip but still suitable for families. We were immediately served water within seconds of sitting down. Our waitress was super personable and suggested we taste one of her favorite ciders. We ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza and it tasted really good! The cheese was gooey and really seasoned which overshadowed the blandness of the pizza sauce. The pepperonis were thick and delicious as well. The menu says that a 12" pizza feeds 2 but it can definitely feed 3-4. We will definitely visit again when we come back to Chicago!

Family Party

By leolszewski |

We were guests at a large family party, and we were really impressed with the food, atmosphere and service. The waitresses working the party were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. There was a great variety of food to choose from, including, pierogies, pork wings, fettuccine Alfredo and pizza.

Beer and takeout

By kedkap |

Went here Friday evening with my son to pick up our take out pizzas. My son lives just a short distance away. Had a cold one while waiting for our pie. The pizzas were very good. Would highly recommend it to anyone. Thought it was a bit pricy for what we got. This is what kept it from being 5 stars.

Wonderful night out

By IrishFan81 |

We were visiting from out of town and looking for an interesting place to eat. We were intrigued by the idea of Chicago pizza and polish food. It was so much better than we expected. The pierogi was great - wish we had ordered 2 servings as we had to fight over them. The pizza was perfect and just what I'd been craving. The service was really good, very timely and anticipating what we needed. This was a very fun place to relax, eat great food, and watch some sports. Highly recommend.

Group dinner for 30 people

By JoliveB |

Had delicious pizza, salad and beer at an end of meeting dinner. The staff were excellent in how they dealt with the numbers. The pizza was thin crust but toppings were delicious. Beer came in the jug full. Salads were fresh and plentiful.

Didn`t live up to expectations

By glenrod |

After reading reviews we decided to eat here. Food turned out to be expensive and well below standards of other restaurants in the area. They got our orders wrong and then hurriedly replaced them with dishes that were not good. We didn`t eat Pizza but chose off the menu.Drinks very expensive. Not a place we would return to.

Excellent thin-crust pizza in the South Loop

By James B |

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the South Loop. There's vibrant vibe, excellent selection of draft beers, and a great variety of vodkas! There is a great outdoor patio on the side of the restaurant that provides ample seating and distance from S. Wabash Ave. However, the pizza is the main attraction. Their thin crust pizza is among the best in Chicago.

Holiday Get Together

By S L |

Service and food is awesome!! I have been here a few times and everyone is so friendly. The food is amazing. The specialty pizzas=buffalo chicken and sausage with Sauerkraut are our favorites. The Pierogies and chicken parmigiana are very good too! Definitely worth a visit if in Chicago.

Good Pizza and cheap beer

By Lena O |

We went the for lunch and shared a Pizza. We accidentally ordered the smallest one, since it has the named size medium - which was a little bit to less for two hungry people - but tasted very good. We shared a chocolate cake for dessert, which was also very good. They have a nice draft beer collection - which is cheap on a Monday evening. However, my boyfriend didn't like his beer - but it was his foult ordering a root beer :).

Good food in a good location

By pipanale |

We had our last meal of our recent trip here...at the end of a LONG day of touristing. We split the Polish Sampler and a Chicago Beef Pizza. Both were very good and more than enough to fuel us for the journey home. At 4:00 on a Saturday, they had a decent crowd and it's a tad off the main tourist drag so that (at least to me) was a sign that we'd be well-fed. Our only compliant was not being able to take our leftovers...they'd never have gotten through TSA at the airport.

Bring your wallet like in vegas

By klo242 |

I would strongly avoid this venue period… Specially if you drink at the bar if you want to get ripped off go for it and the word on the street is they jack up the prices during major events like the taste of Chicago the air and water show lollapalooza etc. etc. they charge different prices for people they never say they're not honest and I would not trust these people as far as I could throw them I live in Chicago and I'm embarrassed that there are even have a venue here they rip my friends off from New York New Jersey Connecticut Vegas etc. etc. if you don't go there every day you get charged double beware bring your wallet bottom line hotel prices like four seasons you know at a cheap venue like best Western OK seriously stay away don't waste your money i'm just honest person and I feel that ripping people off is wrong specially in this economy it's expensive to come to Chicago in the first place the last thing you want to do is spend money when you don't get the value

Great for a company event

By tch77 |

My company put on an employee dinner here, taking up the back half of their large patio. Cocktails were tasty, albeit lacking alcohol. I liked all the thin crust pizzas I tried, but especially liked the buffalo chicken pizza. It was probably my favourite pizza of all that I ate in Chicago, which was a lot.

Polish/Italian menu...!

By chicagotoots |

First visit with friends..odd combo of Polish/Italian menu but the chicken parm and the polish pizza was great! Service prompt and friendly, a little on the noisy side with all the patrons, staff and tvs but great place to eat. Full bar and several Polish brews. Parking on street not hard to find. Will return.

Here With Friends!

By Deargoodbye |

I was here with a large group of friends and they had no problem finding space for all of us! Even though the place was packed, our service was pretty quick and we never felt rushed. Oddly enough I just ordered a Cesar salad and it was huge. Almost bigger than the plate! They had plenty of beer on draft which was great and the menu had plenty of items to pick from. Parking can be a bit hard to find but that's normal in the city. This was my 2nd time here and I'd come back for sure!

Great unique pizza

By marye50 |

Went here for the thin crust Polish pizza. Whoever thought kielbasa & sauerkraut would work on a pizza? It does! Great unique combo. Hubby also had a thin crust pizza with bacon, pepperoni, gardenia, & siracha that he loved however I could smell the heat being emitted from it & declined. If you're looking for a unique pizza this is your place.

Pizza & Pierogi in the same place?

By Bill S |

Good thin crust pizza, pasta, salads, burgers, Polish sausage and pierogi ... If you are REALLY hungry ... Try to eat all of the Polish sampler that includes six Pierogi (3-potato, 3-meat, and 3-mushroon & sauerkraut) PLUS a large piece of Polish sausage AND sauerkraut! ... and a GREAT draft beer selection!

Italian and Polish, who knew?

By LindaBrown56 |

Had the best, most unusual pizzas ever! Italian beef was really good. And sour kraut on a pizza???? Plus the polish beer was very good... so I was told by my son. And the s'mores pizza was sooooo rich and divine! Great atmosphere and service!

Fantastic Tasting Pizza!

By Michael B |

This may be the best thin crust pizza in Chicago! Try the Flo's Polish Pizza. It has Polska Kielbasa, sauerkraut, apple wood smoked bacon, and covered with cheese. The kielbasa is a very high quality and as thin as pepperoni. The Pierogi Sampler is freshly made and also is delicious. Easy to get to. About a 5-10 minute walk from the Roosevelt stop on the CTA Red Line in the South Loop.

Try the unusual pizza combinations

By SMC48 |

I went to Flo and Santos for lunch and had the polish sausage, saurkraut and and cheese pizza. It doesn't sound good but it is delicious. I have never had anything like it and would go back as this is the only place that I've ever seen it. It is a casual restaurant that reminds me of a sports bar. It is a bit pricey but worth a treat every now and then, Waitress was extremely friendly, service great.

Average

By sarah s |

I live close to Flos and love the food and atmosphere. However, the service has been lacking recently. Its in a great south loop location that locals want to visit and feel comfortable in. Lately the employees being hired are rude and disrespectful. Its sad because its always been pleasant and warming.

Excellent Bar food with eclectic menu

By rachel e |

Flo and Santos. Polish and Italian. Sort of says Chicago now does it? Well...it does and it shows in the food. Excellent bar food with a Polish and Italian bent. Good Pizzas and I recommend the Chicken Parm. But ask for a bit more cheese. Beers from Poland are quite good, Zywiec was my dinner mate's choice. Be careful on a "game night" they get quite busy.

Great food

By James B |

Truly a mixed cultural experience. Outside picnic tables are available. Large group, tried a multitude of foods all great.Full bar.

Casual restaurant & bar with dog-friendly outdoor patio!!!

By Lisset |

Perhaps I'm biased. I can appreciate any place that will allow us to bring our fur baby and it helps that their patio space is quite large so you don't have to wait long for a table. But I will say that we enjoyed the food and beer selections here! We'd be here one time previously but had only sat at the bar and gotten a couple of beers. This time we took an afternoon with our pup and sat outside. They offer a diverse selection of beers, which we can appreciate. Their food menu also offers a variety of options. We did some apps and pizza, all of which were quite good! For the pizza we did half margarita and half of their specialty italian beef. We very much enjoyed both! Our server was exceptional. For as busy as she clearly was, we never felt as though we had to wait for anything that we needed. She was very on top of things and friendly! We'll be back again, I'm sure given that we can walk there and they allow our pup on their patio!

Italian and Polish...what's not to like???!!

By Cathy E |

Great neighborhood place that fills up fast after work. We started with the Polish Sampler...and the Kielbasa was to die for! We moved on to pizza for dinner, and the pizza reminded me of the pizza we had growing up - thin crust and tasty. A good number of beers to choose from, including the standards and craft beers. Oh, if you're hiding from the fuzz, stay away. A lot of Chicago's Finest take their meals here!

Casual & authentic!

By Kymbrulee |

We visited this location as part of a private Chicago pizza tour and absolutely loved the authentic neighborhood atmosphere. Our group tried the unique polish sausage pizza as well as the Italian beef & pepper pizza both thin crust. All 15 of us loved it! My husband said it was his favorite pizza of the tour. We sat outside at the picnic tables and enjoyed the live music. We enjoyed the beer selection and a vodka tasting flight. This was a great casual place to spend an evening.

Pre party for GNR concert

By KatieJlipp |

Since there some of us from out of town and locals, this was a great meeting place. Our waitress was great with checking on us. Food and drinks were also awesome. Outdoor patio area was perfection... Sun, EL trains in the background and atmosphere. Highly recommend the Warka beer and Blueberry lemonade vodka cocktail.

Wow, something different in a pizza

By travelqueen10151 |

Half kielbasa and sauerkraut and half Itallian beef. Probably the most unique pizza I've ever eaten. It was tremendous. Just the right amount of spices and flavorings, Nice restaurant in the south loop. I would definitely go back again and try some other unique combinations. Great beer selections too.

Great hidden patio

By Kelly Cathcart |

I went her for lunch and loved it. They have a patio that is fantastic. The service was great. The beer selection was really good, they also have a full bar. I had the perogie and loved them. I really enjoyed the patio. It had lots of umbrella tables, and the el train just makes it more Chicago. The indoor part looks really great as well.

Crazy pizza combos....

By Traderjoey |

There are definitely some pizza combinations that might have been dared based here. I sampled four different pies. I guess I’m still old school as I preferred Sausage and onion to some of the crazy specialty pies. However in general they were all pretty tasty with crisp crust.

Excellent

By jeff m |

Flo's is a great sandwich and pizza stop, informal excellent food. Try the pork wings and the unusual combinations on a perfect thin crust pizza. Friendly staff and outdoor sitting area.

Great food, fun

By njd003 |

Stopped here before a Bears game, never before. Bar/restaurant type place with great atmosphere and food. You have to try the Flying Pork Wings, they are awesome!!!The pizza was very good too. Really good bar type food menu. Unique pizzas, appetizers and sandwiches. Definitely going back. http://www.floandsantos.com/menu/

Welcome Respite After an Afternoon at the Field

Walked several blocks to this spot from the Field Museum. Service was spectacularly friendly and fast. Good array of draft beers on tap; also a full Bloody Mary menu (as a Canadian, didn't realize there were that many recipes - reminded me of our variety of Caesars!). We had some appies (hummus, etc.) which were very good. A bit hard to find a taxi afterward, on the street, but that might just have been our timing. Well worth a visit.

Crazy good

By Susan M |

Just the thought of a restaurant specializing in pierogies and pizza makes me laugh but this place is great! Very casual, no reservations. We had a sampler platter of pierogies which were all delicious then 2 different types of pizza as well as a chopped salad. The salad was served as an entree but was big enough to feed all 4 of us. Pizzas are quite large as well, plenty to take home. Cocktails and beer selections very plentiful as well

Wish I had known about it before!

When a friend suggested that we meet at Flo and Santos for lunch, I had never even heard of the place before. And I've lived in Chicago my whole life. Boy, have I missed treat! They make my favorite kind of pizza. The kind with the crispy crust. And it was excellent! And the service was fast and friendly. Can't wait to bring my family here.

The thin crust is just perfect

By DEPluma |

We tried a two different unique toppings. The first was polish sausage. It was good, but, the taste combo wasn't my favorite. The second was italian beef and wow was that good! the hot peppers from the beef spice came through to help with the pizza spices. Definitely a keeper. Then was the Smore's dessert pizza and that was something to behold! If you eat here, save room for the dessert pizza and smile all the way.

An Italian and Polish Lunch with Friends

By Natalie B |

I had gone to Flo and Santos as part of a Chicago Pizza Tour a couple years ago. During the tour, we had two of the speciality pizzas, and I meant to return for a more traditional topped pizza. My friends and I went for lunch to belatedly celebrate one friend's birthday. We shared the delicious pierogi appetizer and had a tavern style pizza. Overall, the food was very tasty. A few minor things prevent the restaurant from getting five stars. The pierogi appetizer is six to an order, and you have to have the three set flavors. We would have liked to go all meatless. We shared the paczki dessert, and I like my paczki filled -- not plain. We went on a Sunday, and everyone was able to find parking or get there easily on CTA. I would go again, but I would skip dessert.

Saturday Lunch

By Larry A |

My family and I went for lunch on a Saturday. Although I only live a block away, this is the first time. A member of the group has allegries. The waitress checked with the cooks of our concerns and comforted us. We enjoyed the food and will return again.

One of my favorite places in Chicago!

By STLDood |

We make sure to come dine here whenever we come to Chicago. Their raviogi are incredible! They're a combination of ravioli and peroghis with an awesome cheesy vodka sauce. Yummy! I wish we had one locally. Always a good meal when we come here!

Great beer garden in South Loop

By UK_traveller_7 |

Had a great experience at Flo & Santos on a warm, lazy Sunday afternoon. Quiet, relaxed and roomy beer garden with sunny and shady seating. Friendly and efficient staff were on hand at the right moments for ordering. Place seemed popular with South Loop locals. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was very good and tasty. Repeat visit when I'm in the South Loop.

Friendly spot with good, if unsusual pub grub

By Randall R |

My wife was at a conference so I was on my own for dinner. Found Flo and Santos within walking distance of the Hilton Chicago. A friendly cheery place. Found a spot at the bar and settled in. Great selection of beers. Menu has a combination of Polish and Italian specialties. I noticed a lot of thin pizza being served but I was looking for something else. The Peirogi sampler, 6 good sized peirogis came on a bed of sauerkraut. 2 each stuffed with potato, kraut and ground pork. They were served with a nice dark applesauce and sour cream for dipping. Excellent starter. Next came a Polish Rueben sandwich. Differs from standard in that it has Krakow ham instead of corned beef and Polish dressing instead of Russian dressing. A good hearty sandwich accompanied by excellent waffle cut fries. I also had an opportunity to taste a teriyaki pork wing. Wow. A dressed and trimmed pork chop marinated in teriyaki sauce. A large meat lollipop meant to be eaten by hand as a starter. Great idea really well executed. Also comes with Buffalo sauce and BBQ. Itws worth the trip tfor the pork wings alone. Flo and Santos has a friendly bar vibe with a long, narrow room and a large outdoor area when the weather is better. Family friendly early in the evening.

Yummy!

A very cute little restaurant with a lot of history. Polish-Italian. The food was great, as well as the service.

Excellent Pizza. Family friendly. Good service.. Fun place.

By augieann |

This is a great family friendly place to have a dinner that is reasonable and good. I have not tried the Polish food but the pizza is outstanding. The service is very good. I have been back several times for their pizza. They have a great selection of beer from all over the world. They also have a great selection of liquor. Go for a pizza and a beer you wont be disappointed.

Sit outside!

By Beth K |

Huge beer garden out back which is perfect on a beautiful summer night. Polish sampler was ginormous. Moscow mules too tasty.

Top pizza place in the city

By peo07 |

Chicago pizza scene is competitive and Flo & Santos will not disappoint if you like classic, thin crust. We devour every time. Wings also pretty good. We'll order a salad to feel sorta healthy but just hold out til the pizza. There won't be leftovers. Solid beer selection. Casual environment with outdoor seating and the game always on.

Flo and Santos

By Laura G |

We went with friends before a comedy show to get dinner on a Thursday night. The place was packed so we sat at the bar. The bartender took our drink order, we all got a beer. When he took our food order there was a big misunderstanding. Two of the guys we were with asked for the Chicken Buffalo Sandwich. He told us we had to try the pork wings. So we said okay even though we got the loaded waffle fries. He didnt bring the sandwiches and just brought the two kinds of pork wings. The pork wings were amazing though and the guys didnt end up caring. The bartender did open a new beer for me without asking. I was driving that night and didnt want another one. It really bothered me that he did that. The waffles fries were good and so was my chicken sandwich.

Excellent spot for dinner, drinks and watching the game.

By M4284TGbrianm |

The valet at the Best Western Grant Park recommended this place and it was awesome. They put a nice, somewhat "Polish" twist on their food and drink, but there are plenty of options for people of all ages - including kids! Clean, plenty of room and prices that are acceptable. If you go, try the Buffalo Pork Wings and the Italian Beef pizza. Overall, highly recommended...yum!

great beer specials & good pizza but a little pricey

By Philip S |

We got there on a Monday night around 9pm; kitchen closing at 10p. We had a number of their $3.50 draft beer specials featuring several unique beers including a deep rich porter; quite wonderful. We had one of the special pizza's of the day, Marco's Italian Beef, $23 medium; it was well topped but a bit spicy for me. The giardiniera spice was laid on unevenly and too heavily in certain sections of my pizza. But, the pieces that were spared the heavy-giardiniera were superb. The waitress suggested that I could ask for a lighter tough the next time.

Nice bar with good range of beers, many Polish vodkas, and interesting Polish - Italian food menu. Good service and multiple sports on screens behind the bar

Local, comfort and fun

By Jill M |

Thin crust pizza in Chicago? Sounds crazy! But, worth it. Pizza and pierogis is one of their slogans so that’s what we got and it did not disappoint. The thin crust pizza was really perfect and packed a great crunch. We had the one with sausage, Onion, and green pepper. The sausage was quite tasty. They layers of meat, veggies and cheese were surprisingly balanced with the thin crust. To start the meal, three of us shared one meatball and the pierogi appetizer. What a treat! 3 different types of pierogis with sour cream and apple sauce and one very large meatball. Very flavorful and we didn’t leave feeling over stuffed. Sharing is the way to go! Everyone gets a great sample of so many of the best dishes.

Good pizza, great beer list!

By SciGuyMrD |

Now that they have expanded and have the outdoor courtyard, there's all the more reason to visit. The pizza is good but they have a great list of craft beers. Chicago-expensive, but we visited on a Monday and they had $3.50 drafts of good beer (Revolution Anti-hero). $3.00 tall-boys on Tuesdays?

Good service Food okay

By marybethusher |

We stopped here for dinner on a Sunday night. We were seated very quickly in the front part of the restaurant by the bar. The menu has a mixture of Italian and Polish items. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread and the pierogi sampler. They both came quickly. The bread was very dry. The cheese was very over baked and the bread hard as a rock. The pierogis were very good. The sampler included a mix of six pierogis on a bed of sauerkraut. They were very good. For dinner we ordered a pizza(selected the toppings ourselves) , a chopped salad and a beef sandwich. We also had soup. The soup was piping hot but rather tasteless . The chopped salad was huge and it was fine, The Italian beef came on a toasted roll and but had to ask for the aujus to put on the sandwich. The beef itself was very tasty but without the actual aujus it would have been dry as dust. The pizza here is always good. Unfortunately we had peppercinnis on our pizza and they were too hot to eat. So we spent a lot of time taking them off. 😂 We did have a nice visit and we were served quickly so it wasn’t a total loss. We might go back again if in the area. Flo and Santos is very close to Soldier Field. If the Bears are in town the place is probably packed

Great pizza and perogies and outside patio!!

By Amber S |

The pizza was awesome!!! Get Flo's Polish Pizza. The patio had a great vibe and being from out of town, getting to see and hear the L train is always cool. The service was pretty slow, but it was a football game day, so that could explain it. The indoor area is LOUD. If you're there for a loud bar scene, then you have it. If you want a quieter area, sit outside. Enjoy!!

Polish Italian Fusion? Call it best of Chicago

By Dominic F |

Ok , portions are large, atmosphere casual and fun, great beer selection, plenty of TVs, nice outdoor space and the food is awesome! Raviogi was a real treat and the s'more pizza at $5.99 was enough for 4-5 and completely amazing. Will be back many times to come with teens in tow.

Could not get out

Sat at front bar. Ordered beer and pizza. Got 0 service. Waited more than 30 minutes for check to cash out. Came here a lot for the past seasons but interest fading.

Little gem just south of downtown!

By Mark K |

This place came highly recommended by some friends that frequent the place. Totally lived up to the hype. Had the Polish pizza which had sauerkraut and kielbasa which was so yummy, especially when you put spicy mustard on it. Great pierogis too!!!

Very good! Interesting choices!

By ChgoJohn |

Saturday dinner with my family. No problem getting a table at 6:00pm. We started with the Polish sampler platter and bruschetta. I would recommend the sampler platter and wish we had ordered two. Pass on the bruschetta. The pizza here is very very good! We each made a custom designed pizza and had more than enough food. Two people could really share the 12 in pizza. Nice selection of beers. Prices are a bit high for a sports bar pizza joint but not crazy. I highly recommend this spot in the south loop.

Great restaurant, convenient location

By Innerhousewife |

Discovered this gem as it was only a couple blocks from our hotel. Ordered the margherita pizza and the waffle fries, and then added on the "Farmers market special" pizza after I saw it advertised on the board inside. (We were sitting on the outdoor patio adjacent to the restaurant.) Am I glad that I ordered that pizza! It was goat cheese, applewood smoked bacon, arugula and cherry tomatoes. All on a thin crust. Delicious without being too filling. The waffle fries we got with cheese, bacon and scallions. The fries came out crispy cooked on the outside, but perfectly done on the inside. There are 2 different kinds of ketchup at the table to choose from-regular and spicy. Both were good on the fries. The margherita pizza had the perfect blend of oil and seasoning on it. Service was friendly and quick. All in all, one of the best meals that we had during our stay in Chicago.

Great Food; Good Atmosphere

By fligster |

We had drinks and ate dinner here on a Monday night before a Bears game. This place was very crowded, but the restaurant had a good flow even with all the people. The pizza was very good as well as the Pork wings. They were huge, had good flavor and you get almost all meat without having to eat many small chicken wings or a lot of chicken skin. We were going to try the chocolate dessert pizza, but the waitress said it takes about 25 minutes, so we had the doughnuts instead. They were good, but nothing special, I don't think you got enough sauce with them. It would have been good to have some chocolate or something to dip them in. Service was good, even though it was packed.

Good auto sphere-So-so food

By Stephen B |

Had lunch there on a Saturday. The decor and setting are very inviting but the food a bit disappointing. We went for the Polish dishes and they were only average. The kielbasa was overlooked and the sauerkraut was tasteless. The potato pancake was very bland. They offer pizza that we didn't try so it may be worth a visit.

Amazing feeling matching the amazing food.

Amazing food and service. The burger was something else. Unique in its own way. Service. All the workers were nice and helpful. Amazing environment.

Our godson used to live nearby and we went upon his recommendation & we weren't disappointed. The pizza crust is super thin and the toppings were amazing! I had artichoke, sun dried tomatoes & sausage, hubby had sausage, pepperoni and green peppers. We had perogi sampler, just as good and the sauerkraut was yummy! Sat at the bar and the bartender, Jackie, couldn't have been nicer....loved it!

Need I say more? Great beer selections, excellent apps, and a generally fun, hip place. We were there with an industry function, and I would LOVE to go back, just 'cause it was great!

Pizza Tour in Chicago

By Steve G |

We had the chance to taste a couple of different pizzas at Flo and Santos. Our favourite was the thin crust with polish sausage, sauerkraut and bacon. It was delicious. I also enjoyed the Italian beef pizza and if you like a little heat with your pizza toppings this will definitely fit the bill. All and all a great pizza place and well worth the visit.

Intersting concept, poor house execution, questionable if worth the long wait!

By newcomel |

We happened to stumble on this place from Yelp. Reviews looked good and the concept was interesting- Italian and polish. What was lackluster was the front of the house unable to clear or seat tables. We saw them clear 4 tables, had them ready and the hostess and helper still scrambled to seat people and had them wait. Very frustrating. We ordered the pierogi app and was it mind-blowing- no, good= yes. These were fried so not our fav. The pizza was good, crust tasty and toppings good. But with veggies on it, the pizza did get very wet. Server came around for first round of drinks, then disappeared. She probably would have earned a second round, if she had visited. But, she just showed up at the end of the meal to check on things. Overall, b- experience. The struggle to find parking, wait in line aren't worth it from our perspective, especially with a child.

Good night ambiance

By Michael D |

The food was good, the drink specials were good, and the music played was awesome. We let the bartender give us our 5 beer bucket. They included one of each of the polish beers that they serve. The pizza that we had was really good.

A little pricey

Pizza was good a lot of choices of beer great atmosphere. A good place to hang with friends and family.

Great Experience

By Paul C |

Initially chosen as an ideal location for meeting friends and being able to grab some refreshment before moving on, Flo and Santo became an instant hit with all concerned. Our early evening arrival meant that the outside patio seating was maxed to capacity so we nabbed a few seats at the bar. The interior (which is deceptively large) was pleasant enough you know the post modern industrial look... bare brick etc. We settled on a round of Polish beer....( Tyskie )...which proved to be perfect for a hot evening in the city and a pizza ( Gracie's Favourite with added arugula ). The pizza was as good as we have had in Chicago....thin crust non of that deep dish silliness Service was fantastic even during a sudden rush brought about by a passing pizza tour.... We had just intended to be on site for maybe 20 minutes before moving on but in the end it was closer to 3 hours.......

Great Bar Food and Chicken Soup

This is a great family hangout. Homemade soup. Good pizza. A kid size pizza feeds one adult if you want to try different ones. Pierogs are recommended also.

Warm night out with family and grandchild.

By Thomas W |

Pizza was great along with pierogis, but, italian beef sandwich that was not at all a signature Italian beef sandwich. Made Italian Beef Sandwiches not a signature Chicago sandwich. The thin beef was tough and it was as it was heated in microwave. Should have ordered a pizza or polish sausage sandwich. We are originally from Chicago and was happy it was on the menu. Buyer beware,

Not vegetarian friendly

By JaimeMary |

I visited this restaurant as a part of the Chicago Pizza Tour. We were told by the guide and the waiter that vegetarians would be given a veggie pizza, while the rest of the group would have their choice of two meat pizzas. As one of the vegetarians, I didn't enjoy the pizza as there wasn't much taste. It was hot and spicy without any real flavor. They did have a good beer selection though. As, I left I dismissed the place as not having good pizza. When we got back on the bus, we learned that the pizza had meat on it. I was appalled. No one from the restaurant acknowledged the mistake, although clearly they had known. I would avoid this place if you are a vegetarian and/or looking for good pizza.

Awesome!

By kakkyk |

A fabulous Polish and Italian restaurant. Super yummy food and great service combine for a perfect meal. Well priced, warm and welcoming decor. A great selection of beers -recommend the Polish Lager - Zywiec. I am posting a picture of the absolutely unbelievably good pierogi!

!!SALT OVERLOAD!!

By Weees |

My brother and I are two animals who usually wipe off every single plate on the table when we go out and eat, but Flo's food was SO DAMN SALTY we just could not continue. We finished our order of wings, left half the pasta and half the pizza. This included my wife, who barely eats, and who just had a wing and a slice of pizza. Sorry guys, but my experience was so disappointing, especially after reading such positive reviews. I just don't understand why the hell they would have to use so much salt... I'm used to American restaurants always putting salt on their food, but this was salt overload.

Tasty Combos!!

By Kevin V |

Visited here as part of the Chicago Pizza Tour. This was our opportunity to try the thin crust "tavern style" pizza that reportedly started the whole pizza movement in Chicago, predating the now famous thick crust style. This place has a very nice pub ambiance with many tvs and a bit of a sports bar flair. We tried two of their iconic thin crust pies: a kielbasa and sauerkraut combo and a Chicago beef and peppers combo. Both pies had a nice thin crispy flavorful crust. We loved the beef combo, the peppers were an excellent contrasting flavor. The kielbasa pie was a bit too weird tasting, the sauerkraut taste didn't really work for us. Service was great. If you like thin crust tavern style pizza, give this place a shot. They have lots of interesting combos for all tastes.

Pizza

By Elaine C |

We found the best pizza in the South Loop of Chicago to be at Flos. Great vodka selection as well but we like the beer and pizza combos. In the Spring, Summer and Fall we always eat in the side patio.

Great food. Good location. Variety

By wolfepack2013 |

Great food. The kids meals were devoured. I had a polish platter that was delish! My husband had a meatball sandwich and enjoyed it. We finished it off by sharing a big slice of chocolate cake. Service was friendly. It was a great location and a reasonable walk from our hotel. We would go back.

Great Neighborhood Spot, Fantastic Pizza and Pork Wings!!

By OBXTKN2 |

I was very disappointed when the prior restaurant that occupied this spot(howie's) closed but Flo & Santo's more than made up for it!! This is a great neighborhood spot with great food and the additional of the large outdoor space is perfect. We frequent this place and is one of our favorite causal spots in the south loop.

Lunch after the marathon!

By stephgrad |

We walked in to a very crowded restaurant and were seated immediately. We were greeted by our waitress almost right away. My husband and father were happy to watch all the football games going on, on all the televisions. We got our drinks fairly quickly but it took a long time to get our food. Obviously this is not common as the marathon was still going on and there were a lot of runners there. I had the chicken club sandwich. It is made with a big piece of chicken breast. My father had a turkey not and again, real turkey. Not made with processed cold cuts. My mother had the pasta special and although tasty, the Alfredo sauce was like milk had just been dumped on top. Way too liquidy. Overall, atmosphere was great, food was good except for the pasta.

A South Loop Gem

By SocialSouthLoopHotel |

We go to Flo & Santos often as well as refer guests to them. We have yet to go wrong with most anything on the menu and the service is always on spot. We suggest you get food to share. Start with the pork wings and cheddar fries, enjoy one a few of their huge selections of draft brews, move onto their crispy pizza and ravirogi. You can't go wrong with this place!

OMG!!!!! Pizza & Perogis

Hand down the biggest pork wings I have ever eaten. Excellent service, patio, beer specials & Pizza. We also had the perogi sampler & it as excellent. My husband & I are both polish so we are pretty picky when it comes to our perogis. I cannot wait to go back & have already told numerous friends about this wonderful spot.

We are on the regular menu for us. Great buffalo wings and NA' Ma's Pizza. Mom Na's pizza which has Extra chesse Black olive, Green pepper, Baby Spinach , and the pizza is crispy ... This time the pizza did not cut it . The pizza was to salty and we ask for the first time how the pizza was made and what was in the pizza. We were here three weeks ago .... Something has changed.... Mark what is going on? Shalom

No No No

By sjd721 |

The reason for the one star is because there is no lower rating available. Is the Polish food authentic? NO Is the food good? NO Is the service good? NO Seated towards the rear of this long and narrow space, the smell of bathroom sanitizer does little to enhance enjoyment of the place, let alone the food. The so called sampler comes with a one ounce plastic cup of apple sauce and a one ounce plastic cup of sour cream. The "potato pancake" neither looks like nor tastes like one. And don't expect to get your soup before your meal because you wont, even after asking your server to please serve the soup before the entree. She, by the way, was all but invisible after taking our order. Looking up from the rear of the first floor you see a stairway that leads to a landing filled with trash, garbage cans and debris. How exciting! I guess Chicago can't afford health or fire inspectors. Hey Rahm, read this. Maybe if I had looked further I would have seen a dumpster. Speaking of, that's what this place resembles. So if you still go here for anything but an excuse to be nauseated, that's on you.

One of our favorite South Loop restaurants

By shakazeke |

Flo & Santos has a weird menu that combines Polish food with Italian food. Their Cheeseburgers are excellent, and a real treat are the Pork Wing appetizer. The pizza is very good and the margaritas are excellent.

Way over-rated!

By Michael A |

I saw this place on "Check Please" and thank goodness it was ten minutes from my friends house. It is a typical Chicago bar. Nothing special at all. The combinations of the pizza are cute, but they all seem to have been coming out way over-cooked and when I asked my waitress about ours, she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. We tried the pierogi and they too were really over-cooked, over-priced(pierogi should not be $1.75 each, minimum 6) and quite bland except for the veal flavored. Pizza, thin crust yes, burnt yes, pricey yes, would I go back...............No! Parking is impossible, location ???, try anywhere else!

A learning experience!

By PracticalDude |

I liked this place for the fact it was an opportunity to experience more ways to make Chicago tavern style thin crust pizza. What I did learn here was that sausage is the meat of choice in this city, not pepperoni. I like the polish fusion mixed in with this place. Lots of beer to choose from as well...good prices.

Pizza, pierogi and paczki

By Taylor B |

At Flo & Santos, chef Lupe has put together a menu guaranteed to satisfy the palate of anyone who has a taste for good food. Located at 1310 South Wabash Avenue, in the South Loop, it is a hybrid of a pub, pizzeria and Polish-American restaurant with a touch of Italian. Open from 11 to 10:30 Sunday through Wednesday, 11 to 11 on Thursday and 11 to 11:30 on Friday and Saturday, it features a casual industrial-style setting with large brick walls, red leather booths, 17 flat screen TVs, huge screens behind the bar and on the patio and an outdoor beer garden. Emphasis is on such Polish standards as pierogi, kielbasa, potato pancakes, ravirogi and paczki. Also traditional Italian pastas. For starters, my wife and I had a pierogi sampler with potato and cheese, meat, sauerkraut and mushrooms served on a bed of home-made sauerkraut with bacon, sour cream and apple sauce. We also had bowls of minestrone and home-made meat chili and a Caesar salad with hearts of romaine, parmesan, garlic and grilled chicken. For entrees, we opted for Italian. My wife chose chicken parmesan over penne pasta with marinara sauce and topped with melted mozzarella. I sampled spaghetti with home-made meatballs and marinara sauce with garlic bread. For dessert, we opted for paczki, traditional Polish donuts with cinnamon and sugar drizzled with caramel and chocolate. For lunch, check out the tempting array of sandwiches, especially the 13th Street Italian sub and the Polish Reuben, both with Krakus ham.

Great Food but Liud

Loud and Raucous. Great selection of beers Thin crust pizza. Pork wings (ribs) tasty but a little overdone

Great food, Moody staff

By Kobe1187 |

Came in with accomplished marathon finishers after the race downtown. Busy - understandable. Took us to ask to get our drink and food order. Any extra request made seemed an inconvenience. Had numerous waitresses but Anna G. was who provided us our bill. When we requested and asked for it to be split into 3 bills with 5 people she rolled her eyes. Because we couldn't be accommodated with adjacent tables another group was outside. After sitting with them and having a beverage, they asked for their tab. Same amount as our first table, Lindsey, who was their waitress said it was too many people to split tabs, when they just did inside for us. Food was awesome as a home cooked holiday Polish meal. Service was terrible - have some friendlier staff.

Excellent!!

Flo and Santos is not ostentatious. A long, narrow place with two bars to serve both sections of the restaurant, it offers comfort food. Burgers, pizzas, and large desserts. Definitely a place to call home.

Polish food done well

Visited for dinner with my son. We order pierogis and pork wings to start our meal, both were very good. Pierogis were very tasty and done like my mom’s (almost😊) then we had Polish pizza, true Polish-Italian fission, washed all down with okocim beer, our server Kylie was very knowledgeable and helpful, will be back.

Kielbasa pizza is amazing

By Derek |

I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard we'd be having Kielbasa and sauerkraut on our pizza but I must say that it was one of the best slices of pizza I've ever tasted. The atmosphere is good and there's good service. It's definitely authentic Polish, which I appreciated. I would definitely go back if given the opportunity.

Sit outside, watch and listen to the elevated train pass by, order any of the pizzas and enjoy great flavor that will keep you eating until you are stuffed only to realize that half of the pizza is still on the pan, this is not deep dish, oh and don't for get the Polish vodka. Polish potato vodka my favorite - Luksusowa

Enjoyed by more than the neighbors...

By Pamela J |

The restaurant was recommended by friends who live in the south loop and I was not disappointed. We wanted to treat a client staying downtown to a fun alfresco dining experience in the city. After being "suited up" all day, he needed to let his hair down, have a few Moscow Mules (they offer a nice variety) and pizza. Well we ate more than pizza which was quite tasty. We splurged on the decadent waffle fries and wings and ordered a great salad so we could witness some green. I don't live in the south loop and have been back twice since the experience with family and friends. Friendly, unpretentious hangout that is well worth the drive.

Excellent food with atmosphere

Great patio, excellent pizza and polish food. Fast, friendly staff, excellent service! Highly recommended! Many beers on tap, large portions. El train goes by often and adds to the atmosphere. Not expensive.

Good find for a dinner if you are at the Hilton on Michigan Ave.

By Drscalia |

Was staying at the Hilton and if you are familiar with that location you know that the choices close by for good meal are limited. Flo & Santos is about a six block walk from the hotel. Probably not the best situation in the dead of winter but spring, sumer and early fall are just fine. Good beer selection and I am a fan of pig wings of which they have a unique offering (see photo). I also had a chopped salad since the pig wings were a meal in themselves. I would also say that the pizza looked outstanding and I will probably get that next time I am in town. Saw some folks had reviewed and mentioned some marginal service issues. I sat at the bar and had a great experience as far as an attentive Bartender and fast service.

Nice mix of cuisines

Really enjoyed the kielbasa here! The service was fast and the food was tasty. Definitely more like a sports bar, the, loud atmosphere when busy. Would recommend for the food, but maybe not the atmosphere.

Fair Pizza, Outstanding Price

By doctorbobster |

Recommended by my AirBnB host, I stopped in to F&S for pizza and left annoyed. Read on for details. A short walk from the southwestern end of Grant Park, F&S combines the feel of a sports bar with a casual bar/dining room. The staff was friendly and attentive. I "assembled" a 12" pizza with mushrooms and mozzarella, each for an additional $2.75. The pizza arrived about 20 minutes later, cut into a grid as is often done in this part of the country. The crust was thin with a nice mix of crisp and chewy. There was little in the way of sauce with the remainder of the topping consisting of a sea of semi-burnt cheese with separating oil. The ridiculously hot and burnt topping was probably because it sat under a heat lamp too long. The waitress pointed out a mushroom slice as I could neither visually identify nor taste mushrooms. You can see where I'm going with this: burnt cheese layer and a nearly $3 charge for what could not have been more than a single mushroom rendered into slices. OTOH, the sandwiches that came from the kitchen looked good and the other people in the dining room looked happy. Maybe you will be.

Fun ecclectice eatery

This is an interesting, fun, tasty eatery, which we found from "Check Please" (TV show). My sil saw so we treated her for her b-day, driving in from NW Indiana. It's city parking (no lot) so be prepared to circle the block a few times and feed the meter. We arrived approx. 5:15 on a Sat. night so not yet crowded, but sure getting there when we left. It's on a city block, non-descript w/brown awning. Not very "wide"/large looking on outside, but very long inside. Upon opening the door, the aroma of fresh baked pizza hits your nostrils big time, yum! The bar is on the left. There's plenty of tables/booths and TV's (is sports bar). It was Sat. (diff drink special each day) so its was buckets of reg or Polish beers for $15 (you can NOT mix or match, either reg or Polish), so five 16 oz. for $15, great deal. Has LOTS of beers to choose from, ciders, wines and cocktails. The food is fun and different. They have thing crust pizza (very thin and crispy) and there's 6-7 types to offer or you can create your own. We went w/the kielbasa pizza (polish sausage, sauer kraut and bacon w/pizza sauce), very diff and good, sauer kraut not overpowering and that's good as I'm not a huge fan. $26 for pizza that serves 4-5. They have an entrée called raviogi (sp?) which is meat filled pierogi's (I believe 6) in a creamy vodka sauce - wow, delicious! We asked for plates and all shared it. I don't know as I could eat entire entrée as very rich in taste, but again delish! Our app was polish platter - long link of kielbasa, pickles dotted w/a spice, 3 pierogis (ea diff kind) and a large thick potato pancake. This platter was $14, and while very tasty was overpriced for quantity. I really didn't see that you could get potato pancakes for an entrée, wish you could. DO have pierogi's for app, 6 for $10, pricey. This restaurant is not cheap, but the quality is worth the price. It is Chicago fare after all so what is cheap in Chicago?!?! They've several app's, sandwiches, chick parm, etc. We saw diff food items pass us by and all looked tasty and attractive - waffle fries, chicken parm, salad, onion rings. There were kids in there, lots of TV's and big group so be prepared for noise. Waitress was very efficient and did NOT rush us. "Bus boys" were quick to grab dirty plates, bring out clean plates, new napkins, pour water, etc. - very efficient! For desert they have packzi (polish bismarcks - yeast donuts stuffed w/jelly and doused w/sugar) - we did not have. We opted for s'mores pizza - a 12 inch pizza for $6/7 with marshmallows, chocolate and graham cracker crumbs on it - very hot and super messy/gooey and out of this world. Hint: Don't eat immediately, let it cool a bit. EVERY food item we ordered was above and beyond delicious. Flo was a Polish woman marrying an Italian man, hence the Polish/Italian "marriage" of the food served here. Bathrooms clean. We had the Polish Platter for an app, bucket of beers for $15, 2 ciders, 1 large $26 kielbasa pizza, the raviogi platter (which comes w/a little garlic bread) and s'mores pizza. Bill was $97 w/tax, before tip - really not bad for all that (complete meal) for FOUR! Try it, fun, different and tasty!

Come Here Often

I really enjoy their thin crust pizza and their 1/2 off wine on Wednesdays! The outdoor patio has a lot of seating, which is really great in the summer. The staff is always super friendly, we've never had a problem with service, even on really busy nights.

Fantastic for round one and two, Average round 3.

Nice place with a great atmosphere. we actually were there three times in about 10 days. A couple of weird things happened. The second time we tried to order the drink special, Pomigranite Mule, but they had no pomigranite. Anyway we had a salad that was fantastic and a pizza as well that was also great. Returned tree days later and the same salad was about half the size and had way fewer chunks of meat and cheese. The good news was that we did have the drink special which was very good. Except for this the rating would have been five stars and we will return as well.

Huge portions , tasty food

Had lunch recently, with a friend. We split the Polish sausage sandwich. The sausage was almost as big as a baseball bat, and it was very tasty. We also ordered soup. My chicken noodle, was served hot, and was loaded with chicken. My friend had minestrone, which he said was excellent. One tip...you may want to skip ordering soda (or pop), as it will jack up your bill. The food was fairly priced.

Neighborhood Favorite

By OutOfOffice |

This is a great places for a casual, good meal. I've been here countless times as I live right here. This is the almost the only place in the neighborhood my aunt will eat at when she comes to visit. The BEST is Thursday night patio nights with live music and drink specials … if it's not too crowded to get a table! We love the huge selection of beers that is always changing as well, especially on warm summer days. Pizza is great (I like ordering the farmer's market special pizzas and getting to try different pizzas all the time.) The pork wings and the loaded fries and MUST haves -- the cheese on the fries is not gross fake cheese, it thick and tasty. Also … the ketchup they have here is great. Try the spicy version (With a black label) if you like spicy. Our whole family has started purchasing only this ketchup brand after eating here so many times. Thanks Flo&Santos, see you soon for patio Thursdays !

Excellent Pizza and Appetizer

By Otter2269 |

Ate here with 2 colleagues and we each ordered a 12 inch build your own pizza. We also ordered the Bruschetta appetizer which was amazing. The pizza is thin crust and the toppings are very fresh. I could actually see the cooking staff from our table and they were hand tossing and flouring the dough themselves. Everything about this place was great. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, and of course the excellent food led to the 5 star rating. I highly recommend.

Abysmal Service and Management

By WunderlustDuo |

Came here with friends to celebrate. I ordered the Italian Beef pizza which was ok, and a whiskey Neat for $12. When I got the check, they had added $2 per drink for the "neat". When I asked the server about it she gave me an attitude and said "it's standard to add $ for neat since we give you more". In my experience, when I have been to bars (and worked in them too!!) and ordered "Rocks" I have seen an additional charge, and each bar maybe has their own way of doing things, but to give a customer attitude like they're an idiot for questioning it is unacceptable. I said it was not listed anywhere on the menu, and she said "you should have just known, it's pretty standard, do you want me to ask a manager?" If you're going to add money to a person's check it should either be listed somewhere or you inform the guest when they order. To me, that's "pretty standard". I said I would discuss it myself, and when I mentioned it to the manager, he said the same response and "I have no authority to adjust your check but I'll 'mention it' to the GM". Ha! A manager on duty with no authority, what a freaking joke!! It comes down to a minimal dollar amount, so I just paid and left, but we were with a large group who work at a large hotel in the area, and needless to say we have the opportunity to refer lots of people to local restaurants. I will certainly never return, and when asked, this place will never get my recommendation based on the attitude and service (or lack thereof) provided by this novice staff.
