Good, dependable Tex-Mex fare. The pre-meal chips and salsa are addictive. My Anita's Mole chicken was great. Our server Jessica was friendly and entertaining. Are there families with kids? Of course; get over it. I honestly don't understand the poor reviews here. The only thing I will warn you about: do not order a cocktail called the Mexican Old Fashioned. That's my drink of choice wherever I go, and making one with well-quality tequila instead of whiskey is just an error in judgment.

Nothing to write home about. Drinks were decent, but the food was just ehhh. The service was good. The patio was closed for a private party and there was a large party with kids indoors.

Its really hard to find a Mexican restaurant in this area that I can recommend.....well I finally found one. From the Margaritas, to chips and salsa this place is top notch. I had Anita's mole as my entree and I have to say, it was very well done. If a Mexican restaurant attempts to serve mole as an entree it is an easy way to evaluate them as a whole. Very good flavor, spicy but not too much. Charro beans and rice were excellent. This might be our new spot for Mexican food

Always go-to when near Concordia. We ate the night before 9am move-in and stayed at Holiday Inn next door. Delicious pork dish!

Not great fans of Mexican food, we were rather unwilling hosts to an out-of-town guest. We tried things on the menu I couldn't even pronounce, guided by the server's suggestions. It turned out to be a super evening, with great food (no tacos!!) and good drinks.

We had a couple of group lunches from work at Flores. While service can be slow at times, the lunch options are a great value. The #4 lunch combo is my favorite - chicken enchiladas, with green sauce, sour cream, rice and beans - all for $6.95. While there are more authentic Mexican restaurants in town, the lunch menu is a great value and the restaurant has plenty of space to accommodate larger groups.

Stopped in for a drink before the movie next door. Good margaritas and had a nice patio with TV's outside.

I went here with a good friend of mine because we wanted some Mexican food and Margaritas! The server we had was never around, the only time we got service was when we would flag down another server and ask for items. I have food allergies so I am specific in what I order but it is nothing too drastic.. My first meal that came out was under cooked, when I asked for our server so I could have them cook it more, the manager came and was very rude about me asking for it to be cooked more. When the second meal came back out it was smothered... and I mean smothered in the ingredient that I have an allergy to. I was afraid of having the manager come back and be rude to me again so I just finished my margarita and paid for our check. My friends meal came out fine but was VERY bland. Overall, I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to someone I like...,

It is hard to distinguish between Tex-Mex restaurants, as the menus are pretty similar and the food pretty similar. Flores, across from Randalls and Wendys is in a convenient location for Lakeway residents. We found the food good, but not exceptional. It also has a playground for kids, which is unusual for Tex-Mex restaurants. We have eaten there several times with friends, and will eat there again. I would recommend it to friends.

I enjoyed the food here, finding it to be well prepared and decent flavor. I had enchiladas and they were good but nothing that would separate them from most other very good places. This is to say that I would certainly recommend going here and I would return again but this is not the sort of place that I would drive a great distance to visit. If you have a student Concordia Texas, this would be a good place to go for Mexican food. The $3.00 margaritas were tasty.

Went for the first time at lunch. My ordered the Caldo lunch special which was a bowl of chicken vegetable soup with a side of rice and a salad. I had posole Verde with chicken. All were average to good. Service was mostly good though getting the check was a bit slow. Chips and salsa were delivered promptly on arrival. The chips were very good. My wife really liked the salsa but I thought it could use a bit more heat. Food seemed fresh and relatively healthy. I would definitely go back.

Location here is wonderful for dining with children 5-12. Sit on the patio and watch them play on the large playground. Food and drink are above average.

Had Joe's tacos. Were very good...just sliced sliced seasoned fajita with grilled peppers and onions...simple and authentic. Was pleasantly surprised with this place as I had been to the old location(that is now Nik's Italian) and was not impressed. Re-fried beans and rice were good too(seemingly hard to screw up but some restaurants manage it). Margaritas was tasty as well! Love the area and outdoor area for kids to play. Service was great and wait was minimal even on Mother's Day. It is a pretty big place. Outside seating looked nice, though we sat inside.

This restaurant has become one of our new favorite Tex-Mex restaurants in Austin. We have visited twice recently, and both times we had good service, good food and a pleasant outdoor patio dining experience. There are a lot of families, attracted by the playground that is adjacent to the restaurant, but my wife and I were there as part of a date evening, and the good food and service outweighed the occasionally noisy kids. For the most part, the menu is fairly standard Tex-Mex and Mexican entrees, but it is well done, quickly prepared, and in almost excessive quantities. (Sharing between two people would definitely be possible.) The tortillas are made on site, the chips are not greasy, and the salsa is quite good. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

I've been a Flores patron for about 4 years now, and with every trip, we are constantly reminded of why we continue to come here. The waitstaff remembers your name, even after the first trip, the drinks are always tasty and outstanding (seriously, 9 bucks for a shot of tequila AND an import beer?) priced. My wife and I feel a part of the family, and even if we're coming in for breakfast, we find ourselves staying and talking, just the two of us, or with a full party well into the evening. With the level of service we see each time, it's hard to leave. Factor in the fact that everything I've had on the menu is great, it's hard to beat.

We live a few miles away from Flores and it's our favorite local Mexican restaurant. Our family from Nashville always want to eat here (at LEAST once) when they visit us. The food is good and on the hotter side of Mexican food which is fine with me but can be tough for people who can't take the heat. The bar area is hoppin' in the evenings Thurs-Sun and the bartenders are very good at getting drinks out quickly. The La Flore margarita is my favorite - on the rocks, in a pint glass, and strong (2 is my limit and I'm not a light-weight drinker). The charro beans are fantastic - you could make a meal on just those alone. We try to request our favorite waitress - Reyna - whenever possible. She's fantastic and so friendly. The restaurant gets busy on the weekends in the evenings. So go early or be prepared to wait.

My girlfriend lives in this neighborhood, so I've been on weekends. It's loud, shoulder to shoulder crowded with people and kids waiting for the playscape. We've shared Quesadillas which were good. Forget trying to have a conversation here. I would love to try another location, as this is not my idea of a relaxing evening out.

Flores used to be excellent in all they did. That began to change perhaps 3 years ago (new owners?). Regardless, I came today for a lunch with business associates and I ordered Fish Tacos, one of my measures of good Mexican. It was nasty - in a cheap, tasteless way. Not worth the more expensive entree price. I had to add salsa to make it palatable and then forget it was supposed to be a fish taco. (See Pic) Basically breaded catfish pieces (nice big pieces though) laying on tortillas. No dressing or marinated slaw - just plain diced cabbage. You know it is catfish due to the distinctive muddy flavor you get with catfish; definitely NOT Mahi or even Tilapia. The chips and salsa were very good - very fresh and full-flavored salsa and great chips (flavor, oil, crispiness). I did not eat anything else on my plate. Too full of chips and catfish with Salsa...

We love love Flores Restaurant in Austin. The food is very fresh, the service is great, and the decor sweet! On a hot day we have sat on the patio and was cooled by fans! You try it once and I know this will not be your last!!!

The customer service was good however, the food wasn't that great. The refried beans were runny, the cheese enchiladas weren't that hot, therefore the cheese wasn't melted enough. The plate was hotter than the food. The rice was pretty dry. I do not like to send food back because I am afraid of what they may do to it behind the scenes. It is safe to say that I didn't really like the food.

We eat here every time we are in the area. As others mentioned, the service isn't "top notch", but they are always busy for good reason -- the food is great. Love the chicken verde enchiladas. Top shelf margaritas are consistently delicious. The new location is huge compared to the old, but the wait was longer than before, too. Now a great place for families with a huge playground and seating area outside; large bar to wait in until your table is ready. I'll be back soon.

Flores, Four Points is one of four of the family's restaurants in the Flores chain (all in the Austin area). The Tex-Mex is authentic. I grew up on this kind of food and menu here is as good as you will find in the state.

We have visited this Flores location several times. Like the one in Lakeway, this one has very competent bartenders. They "cover" for newly-hired waiters who are not yet familiar with the drinks. I'm fussy about my Dry Martinis and my Bourbon Manhattans, and they never let me down. It was a rainy Sunday afternoon this last time, and my date and I both ordered the Caldo de Pollo, a soup with chunks of marinated chicken, onions, carrots, Monterrey Jack cheese and a side of rice. Delicious! On previous visits, we've had their Tilapia Ceviche, Guacamole Completo (with cheese, pico de gallo and pumpkin seeds,) Their Pollo Poblano is also outstanding. It's not really their fault, but there must be some way for them to calm some of the children - about 3 to 9 years old - who love to chase each other all over the place. In spite of that, we'll be back. We really enjoy dining there.

The people are friendly, and accommodating. The food is great, and the margaritas are refreshing! Great patio. Had the watermelon margaritas and the lunch special. Everything was great. I would definitely recommend this place.

Must try the Summerita (low cal margarita with Milagro silver) with chips and queso or the yummy black bean nachos!

While the restaurant looks clean and is newly built, it has one of the poorest trained group of employees I believe I've seen at a restaurant in austin. Day managers are disorganized and don't guide employees who appear to be new to the business and still adjusting to the restaurant business. They dropped food, ran into each other and weren't sure when the orders came out late, which table they were supposed to be delivered to. It took 45 minutes to get an appetizer after sitting down. When I asked to speak to a manager, no one seems to know what to do.... I'm still waiting to talk to a day manager. They didn't return credit cards that were used to make purchases... which requires patrons to go seek them out. Worst part about it is they are so disorganized, they don't even know when or HOW to apologize for their crummy service. Just Amazing.

Went here for Sunday brunch during nice weather. The food was very tasty and the service was great. I wish we had sat on the balcony, we asked but were told it was full (which turned out to be wrong when I checked, there were several open tables). The playscape is easy to see from the balcony but not from inside. Over all, recommended!

This is not my first choice when it comes to Mexican food.. but this is a decent place. It does have a little play scape for kids to play, which is why we go. But the food for us has always just been mediocre.

Nice place but the food was bland. The guacamole was good but the crispy chicken tacos were flavorless as was the rice. The salsa was tasty but too bad the chips were stale- tasted store bought, not at all fresh. The frozen margaritas were watered down- trying to save some money at the buyers expense it seems. Crossing this place off the list!

Delicious food, great drinks especially margaritas, take out and always great service! Outdoor play area for your kids! Excellent bartenders with wonderful personalities

Oh my goodness. Yes this is the way I am starting off this review. This dish was different from any dish I have tasted at a Hispanic restaurant. We were more than pleased. The pork carnitas was tender and very very tasted. The rice was firm and not mushy...the restaurant had charro beans.....added bonus for me, because so many just have refried beans, the side condiments were fresh, the creamy jalapeno had just the right kick.....but wow those huge homemade tortillas made me want to slap my mama and my neighbor's mama.....the entire meal was delectable. All of this served up by an amazing waitress. I hate I did not get her name as we had been on the road for hours and we were tired. But she was pregnant (hate to define her this way, but hopefully the message is passed on, and an absolute delight. Another perk it was right next door to our hotel…made our raining day experience that much brighter. We will visit again.

I used to eat at Flores near the Y frequently so when the family wanted Mexican food before heading to the movies I suggested we try the Four Points location. It's very pretty inside and out. There is a nice shaded playscape just outside for the kids which is wonderful. We sat inside and not on the patio which would have overlooked the playscape. I have NO idea what the issue was but service was sparse, practically non existent. We were there on a Tuesday eve and it wasn't busy but we rarely saw our server. My daughter (who is in the food service industry) wondered if they were just short handed. I have no idea but it's just frustrating when you order items one way and they come a completely different way. The chip were thin & tasty.l We all ordered different things and the food was just ok. Nothing really tasty. I was a little surprised when I ordered the dinner salad as a side and got shredded lettuce and a few chopped tomatoes sprinkled over the top. I expected something with a few more ingredients. But I didn't ask specifics ahead of time so apparently that must be what they serve. So a nice enough atmosphere, meh food and poor service. Perhaps a better choice would have been just 'rita's & appetizers on the patio.

We are temporarily staying near Flores and have been there four times in the past week. The food, margaritas, and staff are all great. The third time we were there two staff said “welcome back”. We love the queso with ground meat and avocado. The taco salad with fajita beef was delicious. Sitting at the bar is good fun, and the bartenders, even though extremely busy, are engaging and funny. A great place!

I was by myself and sat at the bar for a quick meal and a drink. Wait staff was pretty good about tending to me quickly. I had the Friday drink special pomegranate margarita. Not bad but not something that stood out. I ordered chicken quesadillas. They serve you chips and salsa with your meal complimentary. Chips were average salsa was okay not great but not horrible. The quesadillas were not good. It was chicken and a little cheese they were dry and didn’t have much for taste. Others in my meeting group had gone to this restaurant independently and they said they felt the same way. Food is not that great.

Great margaritas topped with Cointreau, the chips were home made, warm, with a very tasty salsa. My wife ordered chicken fajitas and I had a pork Verde dish. The accompanying fresh tortillas were very special. I would definitely come back again and again when I crave Tex Mex.

We went out with our son & daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren for our grandson's birthday. He chose "that Mexican food place with the big outside playground where we ate once". Our son said it must be Flores, and we made reservations. Upon arrival, we realized it was not the same place they had eaten before but it did have a "large outdoor (shared) playground" for the smaller kids. Our drinks (house margaritas on the rocks) and large Queso Completo starter were good to average. Our shared Shrimp Cocktail starter was very good. My wife's Fajita Chicken Chile Relleno (with Ranchero Sauce) and my Enchilada Poblano were both just "so so". Although our plates were "hot", the actual entrees were only warm. My wife said frankly hers was "not too good". My Enchilada Poblano was average at best; the Poblano pepper was chopped into chunks but was really hard and not cooked sufficiently to soften it as is the case in other Enchilada Poblano dishes I have had. There are too many other better good Mexican restaurants in Austin! We won't eat here again.

This restaurant has good Mexican food with wide range of options. This is a good place for large groups.

I picked up Parasites right after eating here. My husband also felt sick afterwards. Eat at your own risk!

This is my favorite TexMex restaurant in Austin. We come here every Friday night for dinner. I usually order chicken enchiladas with verde sauce, beef enchiladas with mole sauce, and cheese enchiladas with TexMex sauce. Wash that down with a margarita or a Corona and that is the definition of heaven! This food is to die for!

Good food, new location much better than previous. Tons of kids so if you don't want loud, don't come here. Fun restaurant.

Have eaten here a few times and the food and drinks are always excellent, and we love the convenient location. The only negative is a few times we've been the hostess seemed a little unfriendly, but we always have great service from the wait staff.

Had the eggs, chorizo, potatoes and beans. Excellent. The coffee was hot and perfect. Our server was great.

Has dinner with a friend from Michigan who wanted some real Tex-Mex food instead of the midwest mexican food. He couldn't believe the wonderful taste and portions with a cold Dos Equis cerveza.

Since moving to Austin Texas from Barbados my taste buds have are going through a major change to say the least. There are mostly Tex-Mex places to eat which is very fine , however it is not real Mexican. At Flores Mexican that is the case. I had the Mexican sampler. I find it hard to make a selection so i just got that. It was a platter full of treats from stuffed jalepeno, chicken rolls topped nachos with all the toppings.Loved it. The service was fun and friendly.Packed with people we had little wait for a table and with all those locals eating , it had to be good.enjoy!!!

Since I relocated to Texas I have had numerous Mexican meals and they all have had the same thing in common. Bland, tasteless and uninspiring. Which kinda surprised me given that population demographic of the state! So when colleagues suggested that Flores was one of the better Mexican restaurants, it seemed a good idea to give it a shot. The surroundings are pleasant, the staff attentive, the food delivery maybe a little slower than some places, but this could be a good sign as the meal is freshly prepared. (?). As for the food? Can’t say I am going to wax lyrical and report it’s the best Mexican in town, but it was better than some of the others I have been to. The praise is tainted, as the bar has been set very low! I had the Chimichanga with fajita chicken and it did exceed my expectations. Seemed fresh and tasty. My wife had the spinach enchilada and used the dreaded U word, unispiriring! The jury is very much out on this place but the omens don’t look good for a swift return…….

Went to a new Flores restaurant last weekend. The decor is beautiful, but more important, the food is fabulous! Add to that a very friendly waitstaff. The Margarita's are excellent. We will be returning there often!

Go straight to the bar area for a truly energizing experience. Always busy and plenty of tvs to watch your favorite team. Our favorites are spiced margaritas on the rocks and chicken fajitas. If your a fans of hot ask for the creamy jalapeño dip.

The standard Tex-Mex dishes are very good and portions are more than enough for one person. We can usually order 2 dishes and it's plenty for me, my husband and adult son. I'm not as impressed with the specialty dishes...the brisket enchiladas were so-so but my friend swears by the poblano enchiladas. This is our go-to place for Tex-Mex

Old fashion Tex Mex. Great migas, tasty hot sauce, good service. Plenty off street parking. Lots of things on the menu.

We could use a great tex mex place in this neck of the woods, sad to say Flores is not it. While the food is OK, it is the little things that annoy use. For the prices paid and the decor, they should minimize the use of plastic cups, plates etc.really gives a down scale feel. While their top shelf marg is quite good and overly powerful, their happy hour special is an incredibly wimpy version of a marg. We still go there occasionally, since it is not bad, we are saddened by the wasted promise of the place.

The fajitas are some of the best around, but the real attraction is their Florita margarita...so good & you will feel it! Great charro beans, service is average- nothing to rave about, but they are always busy so considering the crowd, service was still fine. Great bar, open up to patio area. Will be back soon!

A recent storm forced us out of our home for a couple of nights, so we explored the restaurants in the Four Poins area. We ordered a pile of chicken fajitas. The tortillas are made fresh, the meat is generous, and the onions and green peppers are steamed and not dripping with grease. It was a pleasant fresh take on this family favorite. The chili con queso was a great start and the churros with chocolate dipping sauce was just the right amount of sweet teat to end the meal. When the bank account recovers from the debris cleanup we'll be back.

I was in Austin for three days and ate here twice ! The décor is lovely, the staff fun and friendly but the food in amazing! The first thing you see when you enter the restaurant are two women making tortillas by hand! This attention to detail makes their dishes light and flavorful. They have an extensive menu and a full bar plus lots of seating for large groups. Prices are very reasonable.

We live in the area so have been here at least half a dozen times. Wanted to give it one last try the other day and were just very unimpressed, again. Homemade tortillas but they are too thick. Salsa is pretty good. We ordered some standard items as well as a few specialties and it just was mediocre across the board. Fish tacos/fried. About a 2.5 on a 5.0. Barbacoa. Seems like it was just baked, no seasoning, nothing special on it. That's why we go to a restaurant - taste. Shrimp enchiladas. Meh. Margarita - from a mixer I suppose. Overall we've had a lot better Mexican food at trucks and hole in the wall places or taco joints. Might as well go cheaper and get better.

I had a great server who was very accommodating. I wanted to change the sauce on my enchiladas after I had ordered. The server almost sprinted to get to the back to make the change. Neat difference: they brought ought the guacamole/taco early, kind of like a salad service.

I particularly liked the authenticity of the dishes being offered at very accessible prices. Unfortunately< the day I visited it, it was very noisy.

I had the spinach enchiladas. They were made with fresh spinach and were the best I have ever had.

High energy, highly social bar are...the bartenders are terrific. It seems like 80% of the people are always in this area....of course there is a line out the door for regular seating. Our favorite is the chicken fajita for one...it feeds two people! if you like a little heat...ask them to make you a spicy skinny margarita! Enjoy.

We got there at shift change. When Angela found us (it wasn't her station) she had impeccable service and a great personality. We had chicken chimichangas... to die for! and enchiladas del mar ...also very good. The salsa was great, just the right amount of kick. This was worth the stop. Ask for Angela.

The food here is always fresh and good. Menu is very large and will please anyone. There is a separate bar that serves food if you want to watch games. Waitstaff is very nice, and the salza and chips are wonderful.

The best meal we had over a long weekend. Our food was fresh and delvered quickly. Good margaritas. I really wasn't hungry when I got there and cleaned my plate it was so good. Highly recommend'11

This place was right next to our hotel, so we walked over at night for a couple of beers. We sat in the bar area and it was nice. The bar is a U-shaped bar with lots of TV's around the entire area. Decent variety of beer (though I'm not a beer snob lol!) in bottles, can and on tap. Had the chips and sala and I'd say both were average. The bar service was excellent and the beer prices were more than reasonable. There were a lot of people in the bar and looks like a place where locals come out to watch a game and have a few drinks. So, that aspect of this place I can recommend. I'd like to check out their food as I'm very picky about my Tex Mex. I usually can judge a Tex Mex restaurant by the quality of their salsa. Thus, I'm guessing the food is "just OK." Would go again if in the area mainly for the bar.

My husband and i have been coming here for 10 years. We love the food and drinks. More important to us, we love the staff. They feel like family and remember us by name. And the kids LOVE the playground while we get to enjoy a margarita on the patio watching them play.

The Flores on 620 is our "go to" local Tex-Mex restaurant. We've been patrons for years, and it's gotten better steadily. The variety of plates offered has grown with some interesting new additions. The Pollo Caliente is a real treat, and it's way more than a person should try to eat (Flores is liberal with take-home boxes, thank goodness). We never have room for dessert, and one drink plus the big glass of ice water is plenty to accompany the meal. We're happy that they have separated the "bar side" and restaurant side, plus the addition of the patio and playscape makes it even more attractive. But ultimately it's about the food. The food is tasty, reliable, and plenty. You don't ask for much more in a neighborhood Tex-Mex place. We eat there frequently, take out of town guests, and will continue to do so.

Went to this restaurant earlier this month. There is an active bar area that was busy. Three of us then went to be seated in the restaurant rather than eating at the bar. The salsa and chips were "okay". Large and crisp chips, but they would have been much better served warm. As far as our meals were concerned, all of us were disappointed in that the food served was barely warm. I had the fajitas. I had to find a waiter (ours disappeared) to request that the flour tortillas I was given be replaced as they were room temperature. Finally, when I got the new tortillas, which, at best, were very lukewarm, the food was even colder. Just wasn't impressed. Don't know that I would rate it "poor", but I think "average" is a gift.

Reliable. Consistent. Solidly middle of the genre in Austin. We have been customers of the various Flores restaurants. This 'flagship' on William Cannon is the most ambitious. Handily next door to Freddy's Frozen Custard for dessert!

I was in the restaurant -bar for two nights after spending the day with family. Went to the bar to get some wine. On the second night, I was sitting at the bar but visiting with my boyfriend on my cell phone. I wanted one more glass of wine before I walked to the hotel next door for the night. The manager cut me off!! I was not drunk and not only that, I was not driving. He did not discuss with me. I think the female bartender just wanted to close down early. It was so rude and disrespectful. The food is good there I hear - but they will never get another dime of my money.

Had lunch here on a busy weekday. The waiters were more than polite and attentive. Absolutely no complaints with the service at this restaurant. The food is less impressive. I ordered the cheese enchiladas; they were on the mushy side, not particularly flavorful. The beans and rice were downright awful, tasteless, and bland. Living in south central Texas, my motto is that life is too short to eat bad Mexican food. This part of the world has many great Mexican restaurants, and you can easily find better places to eat than Flores'.

This place has Really good tasting mexican food (spoken from a Valleyite) for being in central Texas. There are several locations, i usually dine at the one on 290 west before Dripping Springs. Well worth the hike!

The food was average, at best. The queso was bland, the enchiladas were rubbery, the tacos were stale and the service okay. The food was not expensive but still overpriced for the quality. I suggest you go to Taco Bell instead. You will get more for your money...and their tacos taste fresher.

We ordered takeout and the food was warm, perfect to serve when we got home for our guests. The service was excellent. The food The Rice the Green Sauce The mega delicious chips The delicious flour tortillas! I recommend it 100

We have been wanting to try Flores for a while, it's just not in a handy location for us. Anyway, the food is outstanding - within the upper quartile of Mexican restaurants at which we have eaten. The chips and salsa are a cut above the usual. All the chips were large - not crumbs. They appeared to be made on-premises. The salsa has both a good texture and a good flavor. One of us got a plate with a taco, enchilada, rice and beans. Every thing tasted delicious. We appreciated the pacing of the plate. They brought the taco out first and the enchilada a little bit later. The other one of us had the steak chimichanga. The chimicanga was covered with a delicious green sauce and a respectable queso. The fajita steak had a good steak flavor that makes me want to order the beef fajitas next time. It also came with the rice and beans. The charro beans were phenomenal with a good smoky flavor. The service was good. The pricing was fair - especially given the quality of the food. We intend to return.

Flores has potential, but it certainly isn't realized at this location. First, the hot sauce is very bland - no snap at all. The enchiladas are flat in appearance and don't sit well on the palate. Fajitas are ok, but the beef ones were a little dry. On a previous visit they were better. If average is what you like, or if you wish to just sit in the bar and drink, its one of the few choices on this stretch of fm620.

Have eaten at several of their locations in Austin and seem to be consistent. Fajitas are good. More than adequate servings and good selection of brew. Atmosphere is good to great. They have play scape for the kids. New location on 620 in Austin is nice.

Not a big fan of Mexican food but loved what i had here. The chicken was too good. Liked the beans too. But the rice could have been better. Service was quick and very nice. An okish atmosphere for a weekend lunch.

We have been pleased at the updated menu here. The enchiladas and the tacos have been significantly improved. Their drinks have always been good and their Mexican martini's are top shelf.

I gave this place 3 stars only bc the group I was with seemed happy. My food was terrible and the food took FOREVER. How do you f@$k up a simple taco?! Here's how: The chicken was tasteless, and I sent back the first one bc my "crispy" taco shell was soggy and disintegrated when I picked it up.) The "tortilla" soup was the same tasteless chicken with chunks of carrot, onion, and celery, plus half an avocado and some rice - wildly overpriced at $7 a bowl. If you're after a margarita, enjoy if at the bar and then walk over to Freebirds around the corner, where the food TASTES good.

Fresh and delicious! 3 of us ordered the fried avocado dinner, thought I was getting a stuffed fried avocado but wasn't disappointed, the lightly battered avocado half was served on top of well seasoned roasted chicken and served with beans, Spanish rice, and lettuce tomato salad, chips and salsa we're better than average! They have nice outdoor seating areas that overlook a really nice playground for the kids, the grandson had a great time!

We've been here many times, and like the food. It's fresh and standard Tex-Mex, friendly service, good chips and salsa, and often crowded at peak times of day. I like the Chalupas, and the guacamole.

Our family always gets together here when we are in town. Easy to get my Aunt in a wheelchair in the door. Has an area for the toddlers to play. The service is always accommodating.

After multiple trips to this location I have decided I will not return. Each time the restaurant has been dirty, the service has been poor, the drinks and food have been average. This last trip we ordered fajitas and were asked if we wanted to upgrade to "Supreme". We declined. When we got the food there were hardly any onions and peppers with the meat. The meat tasted ok, but was not tender like most fajitas tend to be. The chips were stale and we had to ask for them to be replaced. The replacement wasn't much better. I eat at the Lakeway location on a somewhat regular basis and it is MUCH better than the 620 location!

The Tex Mex food is plentiful and a wonderful place for kids to play. Reasonable prices for all The familiar items on the menu,

My friebnd had a burrito and I had a chicken taco salad and we both njoyed it, but I have to say that it is not as good as the Mexican food, I get in Chianmai, which really surprised me. The tortia basket for the salad should have been cooked a little longer as it was not nice and crispy like I am used to in other Mexicn restaurants I have been to. The young man who waited on us was GREAT, the salsa was GREAT.

For some reason I keep ordering the mole and I don't know why, it's not outstanding. That being said, I really like Flores. There is not much to choose from restaurant wise in this neck of the woods in the ATX, but Flores fits the bill. Their margs are decent, the queso is delicious and the staff is very friendly. It's great if you have groups and families. They have a lovely patio and there is a playground so as you are sippin' yo I r bevvie you can watch the kiddos. This place works for the areas, decent TeX Mex and a casual ambience.

Came in for a drink and appetizers. The mango margaritas was outstanding and the. Queso Flameado was the best I have ever had. High recommendation this restaurant.

This place is across from the University where I work, so we go there quite often. In fact, it is the unofficial cafeteria in the summer when the school cafeteria is closed. They moved here last year after outgrowing a nearby location. This larger location is definitely bigger, with a large patio. It can get a little noisy throughout the restaurant at times, making conversation difficult. The decor is typical Tex-Mex: lots of brown and red colors with various Mexican hats and figurines. The food is typical of what you would expect on a Tex-Mex menu: lots of variations on the enchilada, fajita, taco, tostada, etc. Service is usually pretty good and I can get in and out of there quickly at lunch time, which is always a plus. Food: Consistently good. I know salsa is a very personal thing, but I like their salsa. It runs a bit on the hot side (I like, others may not) and the chips taste freshly fried. They can be a bit oily sometimes, but I'm not eating here for health reasons. I like the chicken fajitas over the beef (beef can be a little chewy sometimes, but the chicken is reliably tender and well seasoned). The charro beans are excellent. They have customized dishes for me and gotten them right, which I appreciate. Good place for families, too. Area for kids to play and decent kids menu. The final plus: homemade tortillas that greet you as enter. That seems authentic to me.

I came with friends and the atmosphere is similar to on the border or chilies..very clean. The food I would compare to any Mexican chain. It was still good but if you are looking for authentic non-chain Mexican food this isn't the place.

This establishment serves decent Tex-Mex and generally has good service. I generally have the Tilapia Fajitas when I go there. The Posole is really good as well.

We had our granddaughter's birthday celebration here last year. The service and very special attention to detail in every respect was out of this world. The food is simply fantastic. The servers went way above and beyond to make our granddaughter's special day even more wonderful. What a great time we had at Flores'. A fun day and a great meal!

Had a fun and tasty time here in FLORES lake travis the home made chips and salsa..... wow, very good waiters were friendly and efficient food excellent loved it.
Trying
We tried this restaurant on a Saturday night and thought we were really going to get the real deal. It was only close to best tortillas in town.
