Everything here was delicious! Hubby had sausage biscuit w apple butter. I could drink that apple butter it's so good! He also loved their creamy dreamy grits. The soft scrambled eggs were perfect!! The oatmeal pancakes were a bit dry, but that's kind of their nature. The peach compote on top was delish! Our waitress was delightful. Cute paintings all over the walls and the ceiling. Kind of an eclectic feel. There's a nice courtyard just outside, too, that's covered and has some glass in the ceiling so you can still see the sky and sun, but are protected from the elements. Thumbs up.

We came from out of town and I told my friend that my daughter loves brunch ... So she picked Flying Biscuit Cafe. We were not disappointed. We ordered an Garden Fresh veggie scrambled with egg whites, the classic Benedict without the bacon, and the poached eggs with a biscuit and grits. Everything came with a biscuit. My daughter loved the biscuits with the whipped butter and jam —- and the oven roasted potatoes. She also thoroughly enjoyed her Benedict. I enjoyed my egg white scrambled. It was huge!! I would have preferred to share it with someone. And my friend finished her eggs, biscuit, and grits. The 15 minute wait for the table was worth it for the table. I would have given them a 5 only it took FOREVER to get the check. I just could not get the waiter’s attention. No matter what I did. My friend finally asked the host to get the check.

Large, expanded menu. Staff is excellent, good parking in shopping center, clean, outdoor patio. Our server Tony was great, made my wife a special combination. This restaurant goes the extra distance.... excellent! you will enjoy

I recently held a business breakfast for nine people at this restaurant. The service from start to finish was top notch. The food was served hot and everyone's water came out correctly the first time. The Piedmont omelette, The southern scramble and French toast were all big hits. Everyone attending commented about how good the coffee was as well. I highly recommend this location for hosting business breakfast.

I town for a meet we ordered breakfast for 10. By time the food showed up the containers burn the lids food leaking everywhere. I would not go back there.

This was my second time in a Flying Biscuit Cafe, the first in this location, and first time for lunch. My wife and I were the only two in the restaurant when we first walked in. We were helped immediately and service was great throughout the meal. The food came out quickly, but it tasted freshly made. On the subject of food, it can be a little strange here. They seem to be aiming for healthier options, but sometimes at a cost to the quality of the meal, at least in my opinion. Just a simple example, my sandwich I ordered used turkey bacon, which some believe is better for you. The problem is that it doesn't crisp up like pork bacon, and therefore becomes a flimsy piece of (again my opinion) tasteless meat that has little purpose for my sandwich. Even the salads had some weird options. I was interested in one salad, but the potatoes that are a side option for any of their meals came with it, but not as a side. They put the roasted potatoes on the actual salad. It just seemed weird to me. Some of the food I really enjoy though. Their biscuits are good, along with the apple butter that goes with them. I had a pimento cheese appetizer that was also really good, and a decent price as well. The restaurants are a sort of diner fashion, with lots of colors and things to look at. They seem child friendly and as mentioned above, the service has been good so far. I'm just questionable on the food, but it's really about personal tastes.

I would always chose their Brunch over anyone else's in town! Great stuff and always good All dishes are good!

The biscuits here truly are some of the best I've ever had. (Sorry mom!) The food is great and there is a nice variety of traditional breakfast fare and the restaurant's own spin on some dishes. The service is great and the food really keeps people coming back!

Get the biscuits!!!! They are fantastic. The omelettes are very good. It's a lot of food, so come hungry. The hot cocoa is good too.

3 adults and 2 tween's. We each enjoyed our breakfast. The coffee was good and our server was great. There was a short wait but this place is a solid choice for the area!

Our server provided excellent service, the food was good and the prices are reasonable. The server answered all of our questions and was helpful in deciding on what to order. The Apple Cranberry Butter topping was excellent on the biscuit and French Toast. We would not hesitate to visit this location again.

Driving down to FL we stopped at this location. The staff were very nice as we arrived with 2 pups(golden retriever and cocker spaniel). They immediately greed them and offer water to them. Breakfast was as always DELICIOUS! Patio seating.

I was at the Flying Bisquit 7/19 around 11 am. I used Google Maps for directions, it led me close not exactly near to the closest entrance. I called, I spoke with Andrea (I asked her name later, and totally forgot it, sorry) and she gave me better directions. I am a fairly recent amputee and want to save some steps and decided to valet. I was told the valet wasn't validated, I am good with that. I approach the valet and ask the gentleman where the Flying Bisquit Cafe is. He points a bit behind me. About 500 feet away. This location is in a corporate and residential high-rise plaza on the ground floor, on the other side of a lobby facing Peachtree. I ask how I can oay for thr Valerie, he told me it eas complimentary, just tips optional. I put the room up in my csr and take the 5pp foot walk. I am greeted by a hostess and let her know I am eating solo (on the lookout for a future ex-wife). She asks ifbI want to sit at the counter, I said yes, that's always my preference as a solo diner. It takes a while for Andrea to ask if I am dining in, and she hands me a menu. I totally get it, she is overworked handling the chores the food delivery orders, the counter and fielding questions from her colleagues. It's all good for me. I was told the Cheesy Grits were great. I get that and a decaf coffee. Yes the grits are GREAT! The decaf coffee was what it should be and I wasn't rushed. I was given tap water also. I strike up a conversation with a dude on my left that was at the Yankee vs Braves game the night prior (I went later that day). It was a nice friendly conversation. As I am finishing up I let Andrea know that I'd like to ourchase on of the t-shirts on display on the wall to the right as walking in. It is purple with a grits phrase, in large. Andrea came back and told me they had medium and XL in thst shirt. I ask her to bring the XL out in case it runs small, I was also 35p lbs at one point and needed thst size and revert back to my old ways. She brings the XL out and ask her what does she think. Andrea says "It woukd make a good sleeping shirt" I pass and give her option 2. She goes back to let someone know of option 2, and I was told a large was found. YAY! I ask for the bill settle up with a card, a signature wasn't required on the receipt which I found odd, and left a tip on cash, walking out with my souvenir. I hear off to the car, it was parked where I dropped it off. He grabs the keys, asks me for my ticket, give him a $5 bill and off I go to the Lenox mall. It was definitely worth the quick ride to this spot. GO! NOW!

We love the food at flying biscuit, but the staff consistently fall short. We called ahead for a 25 min wait and arrived to "check in" only to be told our name never got written down. No apology given or help to fix the issue. If they fixed their staffing problems at this location, I'd give it 4 stars.

First off, after years of visiting various locations, it amazes me the the biscuits are so amazing. The texture is always just right and how they get them to rise so much is magical. Prices are reasonable and eggs with healthy additions are many and usually cooked just right. The Brookhaven location is small and compact, but comfortable and consistent with other Atlanta locations. Highly recommended.

Sent here and it wasn't what we expected but wasn't bad either. We are here visiting family and wanted to do breakfast before some of the family left today. Nothing spectacular. Probably wldnt go back only because I know of better places. My niece steak was extremely hard. The other niece pancakes were big and thick and dry. My omelette had wayy too many onions. Are waitress was a doll and she was really good, service was good but food was average

Went with family for breakfast and came away fortified for the day. Signature items are their creamy dreamy grits and their biscuits, along with other classic breakfast favorites. Our service was friendly, quick and efficient throughout.

My wife had heard good things about this place so we went for breakfast this last week. They have both sit down and take out where they prepare fresh food with a delightful combination of flavours. The coffees and drinks were very nice brews and the food was filling. Fresh and quick

I went to the flying biscuit on Wednesday with some friends. It was truly awful. Everything that I ordered was just cold. The eggs, the biscuit, sausage, and moon-dust potatoes. The waiter was very inattentive and did not refill our coffees or sodas or water once we had been there a little while. I miss the old days of flying biscuit when it was in Decatur and everything was fresh and hot and tasty. I do not miss waiting in line but now that the food has. gotten so bad there is no line.

The breakfast is outstanding. The biscuits and gravy, oatmeal pancakes and grits were delicious. Just the plain biscuit with apple butter and peach compote by itself was awesome. Definitely returning here next time I visit Atlanta.

Went with friends for brunch. The wait was about 25 min. So we went across the street to caribou coffee for a drink. We came back and had a bit of a wait. But once we were seated we were taken care of quickly. All of the food looked delicious! I got the smoked salmon scramble. I’m not a huge egg fan but it was delicious! I also got a side of their cheese grits and they were also just as delicious.

Flying biscuit has a waiter that looks just like chance the rapper. He was cool. Very friendly. This place is small and tight. The food was just mediocre at best but loved the hospitality

We had a minor overcharge on our bill. The waitress, Ashley (who is very nice by the way) acknowledged the overcharge and got the manager (Junior) to correct the problem. For some reason Junior wanted to give us something the next time we came to the restaurant instead of refunding the overcharge. Then he went full punk and refused to correct the overcharge. Go to an honest restaurant instead of getting ripped off here.

Our first time to a Flying Biscuit Cafe and we were no disappointed. They offer a unique blend of southern style dishes with a twist. They have excellent heathy selections if you are wathcing your weight (which I am). In addition our grandkids like it.

Here in Atlanta for a family visit. The family decided to go out for breakfast because of the holiday (passover) coming & they didn't have anything kosher for Passover in the house. So, breakfast it is!!! Flying biscuit was very good. I don't think I will be back there again. It was very good because the food tastes good. But, it wasn't that awesome @ all!! Besides that, my food was free because my grandmother is the one that pay for everything. Free food is always better, especially these days. If it was up to me, my wallet will not pay for this breakfast place. I had the smoke salmon somethin. Yeah, I can't even remember the entire name. It taste good, it said 3 eggs & for me it felt more like 2 eggs. Service was not awesome, but it was very good. I will go back for the service.

We've been to several Flying Biscuit's and only a handful of them are as great as the few in town were before they franchised. This one is no different. The food doesn't have the same zest and flavor that the West Paces and Candler Park Cafes do. The lunch service is always confused and slow. We can't get out of this Flying Biscuit in under an hour anymore. The servers seem nice but confused by every table, even when it is not that busy, and thus the wait for food, drinks, refills, etc. is long. We wouldn't mind the wait if the food came out right, but lately almost every time we order it comes out wrong. Eggs are constantly over easy instead fried hard, scrambled instead of over medium. Biscuits taste stale and the last time I ordered soup and a grilled cheese, the soup was piping hot and the grilled cheese was cold/uncooked. How does that even happen? Go to a better Flying Biscuit or pick another restaurant. This one is not worth the wait.

Frequent flyer here. Absolutely found my haven for the morning-time and breakfast grounds. From the piedmont omlete with goat cheese to the cappuccino with whip to their award winning grits, absolutely fantastic choice and atmosphere. Have not had a single disappointing dish or drink. (Not too much a fan of the chai tea) fantastic pick. Try it out!

Recently hosted a business breakfast at this cafe. The service from start to finish was outstanding. We each had a full hot breakfast which was served as ordered. The piedmont omelette was very tasty along with the grits and biscuit. Great choice for a top notch breakfast

I flew into PDK to meet an old friend who happened to be in town; the FBO clerk suggested the Flying Biscuit, so we headed there posthaste. The restaurant was crowded, as you'd expect at 9am on Sunday at a breakfast place, but we were quickly seated in the small bar area. Our server immediately brought coffee and water, and we ordered. I had the biscuit and gravy, which was superb: a light, flaky biscuit with two scrambled eggs and a peppery, creamy chicken sausage gravy. The "moon dusted" roasted potatoes were only OK-- some were a little underdone and they lacked flavor. Coffee was strong and plentiful. Our server was attentive without being a pest. Unlike many other similar restaurants, the acoustic design of the restaurant is such that you can actually carry on a conversation even when the place is crowded. Four solid stars.

Service was quick and friendly. All 4 of our breakfast entrees were awesome. Portions are large...even my teen son could not finish his plate of biscuit and gravy.

I've eaten at The Flying Biscuit many times so I know what to expect on the menu. The food is not quite as fabulous since it became a chain but I still view it to be a good breakfast option. At this location the two servers working needed another cup of coffee or something. We had to make repeated requests for water and other items. I had to wave repeatedly to get the attention of either. One observation is that their stations were not defined for any efficiency so they were all over the place.

Spotted the crammed and bustling little spot and decided to go in for some much needed breakfast. There was an extensive wait time for two, but my breakfast was a sweet reward. I had the Piedmont Omelette with grits and a biscuit that came with a sweet little sauce. The grits was a bit runny compared to grits I've had in North Carolina. Nonetheless, it was creamy and just as yummy. Omelette was delicious- it was very 'home-y'.

This is the second time that I went here and i will say that there was a huge difference between first visit and second visit. I sat at the counter and ordered the Egg-stravangza and it was awesome. The grits here and delicious, creamy and thick. I love the chicken sausage that you get. The healthy bacon is a little bit of a stretch but still edible. I think that the biscuits are very good too, but not the best I have ever had. This is a great stop for a good breakfast stop without having to drive very far and the pricing is perfect for the quality of food. All in all I will be back in the future!

I'm a huge fan of mom and pop's and locals. This little place is absolutely amazing. The service is kind of slow and not really overly attentive. Very laid back, chill and somber athmosphere. Both my friend and myself ordered the egg-stravaganza, very lovely gives you a variety and a bit of everything. The food and especially the grits were amazing (I'm northern so I put sugar in my grits) They are military and police friendly so that's a plus!

A tremendous variety for breakfast and every dish is fantastic. The biscuits of course are to die for !

I recently hosted a business breakfast at this restaurant. We were promptly seated and coffee was delivered quickly to the table They offer a quite extensive breakfast menu. Everyone chose various omelettes. Some elected for a side of fruit others chose their famous creamy grits which was outstanding The only disappointment was the biscuits which were not served golden brown The service was top notch Great spot to have a business breakfast

Very good pancakes!! I would go back for the pancakes. Don't offer the turkey bacon it was not good. The coffee was good and the service was great.

All the food I've had here is consistently good. The biscuits are uncommonly delicious; other items such as eggs, omlettes and bacon are also yummy. The service at this relatively new location is prompt and nice. The Flying Biscuit offers one of the best breakfasts of any chain restaurant, and this location is quite a find. I will be coming back!

Southern breakfast food at its finest. If you like grits, then you need to visit the Flying Biscuit Cafe. Bring a hearty appetite. I couldn't finish all of my food. Not inexpensive, but quality is the name of the game.

Met a friend who was traveling through town at The Flying Biscuit for breakfast. Nice, clean, great service and wonderful food.

Pros: Great food, reasonable prices, good service, and great location. Cons: Not open 24/7, costs money, and calories.

Very glad that Google maps led us to this restraunt. Very good food. Chicken sausage gravy didn't sound good but it was delicious. I asked the waiter what to do with the creamy dreamy grits, you know, how to doctor them up, he said nothing, just eat'm. He was right they were great too.

We were seated and served immediately. Ella was our server, and she was perfect. The pancakes had a gummy consistency and my eggs were slightly undercooked, but the bacon, biscuits, and grits were heavenly. The grits have a little white cheddar and are a must-order.

I recently had lunch at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken pot pie which was recommended. It was very flavorful and had a lot of chicken throughout the dish. The creamed chicken base was excellent The service was top notch

I bought a few items to go here in the afternoon, before close. Starting with the chicken on a fluffy biscuit with egg. While the biscuit was tasty, the home fries were not. They were very underwhelming. They were hard and tasted like they were made earlier in the day…very disappointed. If you choose to eat at this particular location. Make sure to get home fries in the morning If you order them as an If you order them as a side, and not during brunch.

This is a wonderful breafast spot. The biscuits are wonderful. It can get really crowded so be prepared for a short wait.

When the original Flying Biscuit opened in Candler Park, it set the standard for most breakfast places in Atlanta for quite a while. Even today, you find knockoffs in other cities with virtually the same menu. Several years ago, they decided to franchise the concept, and this location is likely one of the franchise cafes. As such, it is a very good approximation that enables folks to eat Flying Biscuit breakfasts without venturing way into town. The major differences we felt were the biscuits (heavier than the originals) and the atmosphere (not funky). The food was fine (we had the Flying Biscuit Breakfast and the Fried Egg Salad) and the service was OK. The best item I had was the chicken sausage that came with the FBB -- excellent!

We have eaten at all of the Flying Biscuit locations and each one has their own special charm, but one thing is the same - fantastic down home Southern food. I had the Piedmont Omelette made with 3 eggs, turkey bacon, chicken sausage, onions and cheddar cheese, served with a side and a biscuit with their famous cranberry apple butter. Mmmmmm to die for! This selection comes with grits, and I do love grits, but Flying Biscuit grits are artery clogging super rich so I substituted oven roasted moon dusted potatoes. Everything here is great and they serve all types of food - not just breakfast fare - but they serve breakfast all day long. I also recommend the Organic Oatmeal Pancakes with Peaches and the Turkey Meatloaf with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Come here hungry. You will leave in a food coma.

This is a "trendy" breakfast place. They provide a healthier take on breakfast with chicken sausage, whole wheat pancakes, and gluten free options. My wife loved the biscuits with chicken sausage gravy, however, I am a traditional southern breakfast guy, so unfortunately it wasn't my thing. The restaurant was clean and the food arrived quickly. I will say that the staff was a tad disorganized. But I think I heard them mention that they were training several new people, so maybe it's not always like that.
Great Spot
Was in Atlanta for a conference so I joined the gang for an amazing breakfast at the Flying Biscuit. We tried another location 2 days later but it was not nearly as good as this one. The staff here are friendly. The coffee is hot, and the food was fantastic. No one went away hungry. This location also feels a little more friendly. And the biscuits were far superior to the midtown location. Also this location would be able to handle our bigger group. Midtown is a little more funky with out door tables (you're still inside but the walls open up) We all prefer this location
