Jorge was our server and did an excellent job with great recommendations outside of our original order plan! Overall great service and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Local a little more expensive than the others but the quality is all there! We had a great claim chowder and some very good seared tuna. Super plentiful portions (American style) with great views of San Francisco Bay Despite the tourist area the place deserves

Fog Harbor Fish House nailed it. I was in town on a business trip and wanted something classic SF, this hit the mark. Ultra-fresh, 100% sustainable seafood, friendly service, and those Pier 39 bay views you can’t beat. The clam chowder is rich and loaded with clams, the Dungeness crab is sweet and perfectly cracked, and the cioppino’s a standout. Oysters came icy-cold and briny, cocktails were balanced—not sugary. Worth the wait; ask for a window seat if you can.

Jorge was really good and accommodating. Great service , great food and nice view! Also, he’s a good photographer since he’s a half japanese, lol .. 😁

The food and the service was outstanding. Shawn who looked after us was excellent and we had a view overlooking the Bay and Alcatraz as well. A great experience and highly recommended.

Luis was fantastic. Great good and service. It is always a pleasure coming here when in San Francisco Make sure to have the crab

Food was great and Jorge was the best... We've never had a bad experience. Fog Harbor has good staying power! We would recommend others to come.

Jorge was our server and he was AMAZING and very attentive to me and my daughter who was dining with me. He gave great menu suggestions to help me make a great entree decision. I was torn between ravioli and another dish and he assisted me with my choice. Great server 🫶🏾👍🏾

This was our second visit to Fog Harbor on our trip, as the first visit was so good. The food and drinks were exceptional - really fresh, full of flavour and well cooked food. The atmosphere was perfect and we had stunning views of Alcatraz across the bay at sunset for both visits. Jorge, our server, was just the right amount of attentive and made great recommendations for both food and drink. He made our visit even greater with his service and charm.

I had read very well about this restaurant, so I had to try it. Outside it doesn’t look so crowded, but inside it was almost full, and it could be felt on both the huge noise level and on the service. We, a family of 4, ordered a bottle of wine and 2 colaes, as well as 2 starters for sharing as a start. We ordered a lobster biscuit and a portion of crabcakes. First came the waiter with bread, water and cola. Then a little time went by and then came the biscuits and crabcakes. When this was served we asked for the wine, which was not yet served. The waitress said it would come right away, but it did not. We were able to eat the strawberries before the wine came. The Hummer Bisquen was a tomato-cream soup with a little taste of seafood. Crabcakes were good. For the main dish, the youngest got both pasta seafood, the pasta completely soft and overcooked, in no way al-dente, unfortunately. Filled in the pasta, i.e. seafood and fish, was delicious. The others got a risotto with cammusling, delicious enough, but not what you associate with a risotto, as there was sauce around and in abundant amounts and the last got a clam-chowder, tasted fine, but now reminds me a lot of a potato soup with filling. The noise level was VERY high, and it was almost impossible to hear each other talk without almost shouting. There was too much busy, and although the waiter was friendly, there was too little attention on our table. Considering the price, about 300 USD, there are many better alternatives.

I recommend this place! Amazing. Table with views of Alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge We were advised by Jorge - just exceptional - advice on wine and meal No fault! Thank you for this Service Exceptional evening

Our server, Denis provided great service and we were happy to dine here. Clam chowder was good and we would definitely come back to try more dishes next time we return!

This spot is good for couples with middle aged kids. There is quick service and perfect food. Our server Jorge was excellent very attentive and explained what the dish was and gave his input on his favorites.

Great, really nice waiters! Took the calamari and fish witch was good, and a really nice view over the pier. I recommend, but a bit expensive

The quality food experience is ruined by poor service. Very good chowder and lobster roll. Mediocre fries. Terrible service.

Visited Fog Harbour for a fantastic evening meal. My girlfriend and I opted for the risotto and surf and turf. If wanting a mix of food I’d recommend this as it gives you a bit of everything - we added shrimp and it added a bit extra to the risotto. Shout out to Jorge who walked us through the menu and his own recommendations that he felt would suit us. Overall, highly recommend this spot in the harbour. Great service, great value and great food

Luis was an excellent waiter—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. His service really made the meal enjoyable. Highly recommend!

It’s not often you experience 5 🌟 service, 5 🌟 food, and 5 🌟 ambiance! This is it! We came here for our last meal in town, solely based on the sheer volume of amazing reviews! Glad we did. The wait was only a few minutes and they sat us with a window view. Our server (Luis) was amazing the entire time. Friendly, helpful, funny and personable. You can’t ask for anymore. The food came out in a very timely manner and the presentation on every dish was impeccable! The taste matched how good they looked. The scallops were perfectly cooked as was the seafood in both of our risottos. Even the bread is fresh and so tasty! Loved this place and the reviews accurately reflect a fine dining experience but casual at the same time.

The food was delicious. I went for crabs & shrimps combo which was awesome. Jorge was very hospitable and recommended good options.

We are there for dinner, served by Denis... very friendly, professional and nice.... great dinner we will definitely be back 🤩

Which is the best seafood restaurant in San Francisco? Scoma's or Fog Harbor Fish House? Judge for yourself. Located on Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf, in the North Beach/Telegraph Hill neighborhood, Fog Harbor Fish House has been doing business for 20 years with Warren Simmons, son Scooter and grandson Ryan and executive chef Adolfo Soto at the helm. Open daily from 11 to 9, Fog Harbor offers waterfront dining with views of San Francisco Bay, Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island from a spacious dining room with large windows. The menu features clam chowder, crab cakes, fish and chips, scallop and crab risotto, Dungeness crab, lobster tails, baked oysters, red chili garlic shrimp and steak and scallop risotto. I started with complimentary sourdough bread baked in-house daily, baked tomato bruschetta with crostini, cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil, shallots and pesto baked with asiago and balsamic glaze, a bowl of clam chowder with crab meat and Caesar salad with leaves of Romaine, shaved parmesan, garlic croutons and Caesar dressing. For my entree, I chose fish and chips with fresh beer battered cod with coleslaw and tartar sauce. For dessert, I was delighted to consume a large portion of tiramisu with Italian ladyfingers dipped in a special mixture of liqueurs and fine espresso, then layered with mascarpone cream and dusted with chocolate.

Fog Harbour restaurant is a great setting, located on the pier, with a wide view and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming and Luis in particular was very attentive and impressive. The dishes are also excellent and it is recommended to try their clam chowder, cioppino and seared scallop, which taste delicious and evocative. It's perfect for family dinners or friends' gatherings, and there are plenty of good options on the drinks menu, making it a very enjoyable dining experience.

Very nice restaurant on Pier 39. Fast and impeccable Service. Great clam chowder. Crab to taste. Our waiter Jorge top!!! Medium/high prices.

We got the reserved table after a few minutes Waiting time. Nice service who advised us auh well. Can be recommended

Luis was an amazing waiter! He made my experience so much better, and the food was amazing! The view was spectacular, and it was overall such an amazing experience! Thanks Luis.

Fog Harbor Fish House is one of my favorite restaurants when I come to San Francisco for a visit. I wanted to bring my adult son here as he he’s never been. We had an amazing experience, we were seated right by the window and our server, Jorge was fantastic. He was friendly, warm, and welcoming. All of the food we experienced was absolutely fantastic and we each had a drink, which was equally delicious. I’m so glad that my son had a wonderful experience and enjoyed the food just as much as I do each time come here!

Food and service was very good. I had low expectations because it is at Pier 39. However, I was wrong. Very good restaurant. Highly recommend it. Our server Jorge was very attentive.

Dennis was able to provide me and my family an amazing experience during our first visit here at Fog Harbor. He is very courteous and attentive to our needs and if we come back would ask for him again!

Fantastic service and atmosphere. Jorge, our server, was very attentive, patient and friendly. He is a true professional.

Great environment, but very welcoming and pleasant. Nice view, nice and friendly staff, prompt Service, very good food, I would say it is the place where I ate best in the 4 days spent in San Francisco and spent the right. I certainly recommend trying it.

The food was outstanding. I had a seafood risotto the was filled with scallops, shrimp, and calamari. My partner had a wonderful bowl of clam chowder. We each had a yummy manhattan and shared warm bread. The view overlooking the water was splendid and the service excellent.

Our waiter, Luis, was wonderful. Food was very good, especially the chowder. View was good. Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb

Luis was amazing and he recommended all the best dishes. Service and food was excellent! We got our food quickly and steaming fresh! Thank you Luis for the amazing service!

A good restaurant with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, friendly service, not too long waiting time, well-prepared food, soft octopus, shrimp as they should be prepared, large portions by European standards

I want to highlight Denis' excellent care. From the first moment he was friendly, attentive and very professional. He always kept an eye on our table without being invasive, kindly answered all our questions about the menu and made sure everything was perfect during dinner. His friendly attitude and his speed in attending made a big difference in our experience. He clearly likes his job and knows how to treat clients with respect and sympathy. A true example of what good Service means.

Swordfish was amazing. Perfectly cooked and flavorful on a bed of zucchini and potatoes. Service by Jorge was excellent, attentive, and friendly! Thank you for recommending this dish.

It's too bad San Francisco continues to demand its restaurants continue to rip-off their customers with this "mandatory" surcharge to cover employee health insurance. San Francisco has had a program called "Healthy San Francisco" that covers that cost for all low income residents. This is basically extra undeserved cash for the restaurant owners, and it makes the guest checks larger for now $18+/hour servers and bartenders.

The food was delicious and Jorge the waiter was awesome! The swordfish is a must have. The view from the second floor was perfect too.

Jorge is an excellent waiter , food was very good and the view is so nice . Recommend for you to try and bring your family too

Great food, gluten free options including dessert! Thank you Jorge for great service. Good atmosphere. Recommend booking as was very busy

Excellent service by Denis, fabulous oysters and Sauvignon blanc from Sonoma as well as a nice halibut with sautéd vegetables and quinoa

Everything was wonderful. Yummy cocktails and delicious crab cakes and clam chowder sour dough bread bowels. Our server Jorge was awesome!

Service was great our waitress was excellent. I would always come back again. Lycee martini for the win and dennis was great

Jorge is a great waiter here! Great suggestions & attentive! Def worth it! Swordfish was the best I've ever had. Wife had the halibut & best since we had it fresh in Alaska!

Denis our waiter was very accommodating to my dietary needs. The food was delicious, especially the Clam Chowder and Salmon.

The food was amazing — real homemade flavor that hits the soul. But what really made the experience special was Jorge, our waiter. Super friendly, fast, and had the best vibes. He even recommended a dish we didn’t know about and it ended up being our favorite. I’m definitely coming back!

The atmosphere and experience was amazing!!! Over all Luis was amazing he’s a great server and was funny kind and very attentive! We will be back!

Amazing seafood. We all had a wonderful time. Luis, was the best server. Kind and got everything right. The time was awesome. Thanks!

Visited with family for dinner , looking forward to the location and based on good reviews. Had kids chicken dippers, calamari and a mixed grill fish dish. Location is lovely with a lovely, buzzing atmosphere. Views fantastic. However food was just warm and very average. Would not return or recommend except for the view.

Great food and service i had fish and chips best i have had for yesrs even in the uk,our server Jorge was brilliant and very attentive

We had Luis serving out table, what a great person, big smile and gave us a welcoming feeling. The food was so good and fresh! Well done Fog Harbor, thank you Luis!

Food and service were great. Denis was amazing at making sure my special food requirements were met. Our food was delicious.

This quaint restaurant with a beautiful view of the San Francisco Bay. Very well known for famous San Francisco specialties such as clam chowder and dungeoness crab. Very crowded. Very kind waiters, very good food. We recommend it!

Denis was great waiter & very attentive & made great menu recommendations… The scallop & risotto was an awesome recommendation! Great restaurant!

Clam chowder with crab meat was delicious and the best I’ve ever had. Denis was an awesome waiter and was very helpful in describing the menu.

Had a great experience at Fog Harbor! The food was fresh and delicious, especially the clam chowder. Our server George was amazing – super friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this spot and George’s excellent service!

Dennis was amazing! He was super friendly, professional, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. You can tell he really cares about providing great service. Definitely a real one — highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I didn’t have very high expectations because it is, after all, in the tourist trap that is Pier 39, but the food was quite good. I was very pleased to see an extensive list of mocktails. My server, Denis, was definitely keen and eager to please.

Enjoyed our lunch overlooking harbor and seeing the sea lions nearby. Elle did a great job taking care of us! Enjoyed the chowder and halibut. My wife had the wedge salad. Reasonable prices.

The good was great but the waiting time was too long.More than one hour and a half freezing outside. The chocolate banana cake is impressive.

Waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and plentiful. The view was pretty. And, they didn't rush us out after dining. Highly recommend!

Excellent waiter- Dennis. Answered all our questions with enthusiasm and very happy to do so… as he asked if we had any questions! Everything came out as we asked and was very good. Thank you, Dennis, for making our dining experience tonight very good. Beautiful view, delicious, and wonderful waiter.

My wife brought me to San Francisco for a 5 day trip surprise vacation. For my birthday (9/8), she escorted me to FOG HARBO, a beautiful restaurant on Fisherman's WARFARE, on the Bay. The reception was extremely warm and friendly as we were greeted and welcomed. My wife tried to unalarmingly whisper to the Maitre Dee that it was my birthday 🎂. Immediately there was exclamation of greater joy and gladness, setting the stage for an amazingly awesome.experience. A clear directive was given, "Seat them with George.* George was definitely the key player, director, conductor, and facilitator to my memorable birthday. Service with a smile, fully engaged, warm and friendly, bringing light and exuding the love.and passion that he has for the patrons. George remained commited.to ensuring that my wife.and.I were 1000% satisfied. Let me just add that the Swordfish over fingerling potatoes 🥔 was EVERYTHING (COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF). I told the hostess, while leaving that if I could UberEats that dish to NY everyday, , I would order Loved it. My meal ended and my wife.had requested that George provides us with the dessert menu. Almost as if offended (NOT), he smile and said, "you don't have to worry about this part, I got this!" George retuned with cooffe for me and cappuccino for my wife. Then after about two minutes, he brought the curtains down with his stellar worhthy rendition of the "Happy Birthday Song," holding a blonde with two scoops of Vanilla icecream and a little candle 🕯. Though his voice was a bit pitchy, his intent and passion to provide this Grande Finale was personally riveting. So, 2 thumbs 👍🏾 👍🏾 up. And 5000 stars for this memorable experience. Thank you.I took note of other staff members also rendering great service as well. So thank you for serving with.excellence and freaking a lasting impression on those who have visited FOR Harbor! Honored, D&M (NY/NJ), 09082025.

I was looking specifically for a lobster roll, and this place had good reviews. It did not disappoint, it was delicious. They have a great establishment overlooking the water. The service was great, my waiter was Carlos, and he was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a lobster roll and drink.

On a cold morning, I stopped in for breakfast and was immediately welcomed with a smile. The staff was incredibly helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable about the area. The cuisine was wonderful and served hot. What a beautiful beginning to the day! I will most certainly come back soon!

The food was flavorful and satisfying, and the ambiance made the whole experience even better. You can feel that the staff cares about creating a great atmosphere. Will gladly return.

We had a lovely meal (beer battered fish and chips) with Jorge catering to our every need. It really was a great meal and the selection of wines and beer was very good.

Our waiter Carlos was amazing! The food and ambience was incredible. I suggest getting anything seafood related, as that seems to be their specialty. Hopefully you are seated at a table that Carlos is serving

Enjoyed a great seafood lunch here. We got the recommendation from an Uber driver and he did not steer us wrong. We were seated at a window table and were able to watch the boats and birds come and go. We started with clam chowder and a Caesar salad. These were a great start. For our main courses we had a Cioppino (cod, crab, shrimp, mussels) and grilled shrimp brochette. We each also had a glass of wine. We didn't even consider dessert as we were too full. Price per person was about $70 including service fees, taxes, and tips.

Everything was wonderful, thank you! Our server “Luis” was so friendly and made us feel welcome. Everything came out quickly and tasted amazing.

Everything was delicious, great atmosphere, short wait, fast service, and Denis was the most chill waiter - gave great recommendations. Definitely a must for tourists

As soon as I saw this cute boy named Denis that worked here I decided to go. I just couldn't help but blush when he said "What else can I get for you?"

A great experience in SFO! We ate a clam showder with crab and a pasta with seafood and delicious king crab! The kids dish salmon was a delight too! We thank the service of the waiter Denis, super polite!

We’ve already been to Fog Harbor two years ago… the food there is always delicious and delicate, but this time I want to write about their humanity, especially about Noomi’s and her manager’s kindness, the person who took care of us August, Thursday 21st, dinner. My brother didn’t feel well , couldn’t finish his dish as usual , so he had to leave the table before us with my dad, she noticed it so I explained the situation, that he loved that restaurant and he thought he felt fine enough for a good dinner here, etc. I must have been so worried she felt it and did what she could possibly do to make me feel better and even gave me the address of the nearest hospital: her caring really gave me emotional tears … Now he feels much better, thanks to a proper treatment and so much kindness from many people during the whole trip. I want to thank Noomi and her manager for being among those important persons you find on your way and who make the difference on a journey like this!

Greeted by the really friendly staff, shown to a nice table, had an excellent server Dominic who did a great job. Ordered the fish and chips, loved it, just delicious, couldn’t quite finish it all it was such a generous portion full of flavour, the coleslaw was excellent too.

This is the second time I've been here and I can't believe how good the food is. It's been really hard trying to find a good steak around the bay area, and I know we are mostly known for seafood. The food is always so tender and leaves me feeling extremely satisfied. My boyfriend ordered the seafood penne and absolutely loved it. Our server Jorge was very nice and we loved that he'd check by during our dinner to see if we needed anything. I very much appreciate the friendly service and my visit overall to this amazing restaurant.

Great location on Pier 39. We are from out of town, nice to be where we are Food was great. Had the Halibut, calamari, and Cesar salad. All the food was great.

We had Dennis as our server and he was great! Food is amazing. I always get the same thing. Mussel fries, Scallop Risotto and the Baked Oysters. Chefs kiss!

The dishes were very tasty. The kitchen did not take into account the garlic allergy and forgot to put the avocado in the salad, it was complicated

Great food, super fresh and well prepared, super service (Jorge was best to feel what we need and to advise us excellent choice), cosy and marvelous view. Wish to come back

Our server Denis was great. Very friendly and attentive. His recommendation of the Biscoff cheesecake was on the money. That was the best cheesecake I think I have ever had!

Clam chowder was below average the really not that good. Salad dressing was canned or bottled. The sampler plate was pretty good. The view is very good. Would not go back. The service was pretty good as well.

Great experience combining the Quality of food of the sea, a Service at the top with Jorge, Brazilian and multilingual, and a breathtaking view of the bay, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge.

This was my first time eating at Fog Harbor Fish House. Upon walking in the restaurant, there is a fair buzz of noise level of customer conversations and music in the background. The views are spectacular from the second floor location. The layout of the booth seating and dining tables is well appointed. My waiter greeted me after about 10 minutes which seemed a little longer than expected. He was very pleasant, asked if I wanted water, I gave my order, and he followed up with my drink and sourdough bread. I ended up ordering Cioppino. This was a generous amount of seafood in an excellent tomato based stew. I thought all the seafood was cooked perfect and was the perfect amount for one person. I was overall happy with my meal and with the ambience and service. I look forward to coming back.

The atmosphere was amazing! First time visitor, we had drinks at the bar with great service. The food was DELICIOUS, our server Denis had great recommendations.

The staff was half Japanese, half Italian and they were very friendly in simple Japanese. It was nice to see the Japanese menu from the QR code. Above all, the food was great. The berry and basil drinks recommended by the staff were also delicious. The scenery is good, the atmosphere is good, and I'd love to visit San Francisco again!

Be prepared. This is a too loud, too crazy, too busy, casual waterfront SF seafood restaurant. But once you get past that, take in the ambiance, and relax, it is great. My wife ordered the lobster bisque, which was delivered as (and charged as) a clam chowder. Oops. But it was delicious, as was my Cesear salad starter. Lots of garlic and anchovies and crunchy Romain. Also, delicious. Our main courses were the scallop risotto (which was perfectly prepared) and something not on the menu for me - but that we had seen a picture of online. We asked and our server said they could make a clam linguine for me, we ordered it, and it was perfect. One of the best I have ever had. I asked for hot red pepper in it, but our server said they would bring it on the side. It did not come with the dish when it was served - steaming hot - from the kitchen, but a minute later our server brought it as promised along with our second glasses of Ferrari Carano Sauvignon Blanc. After adjusting to the seeming chaos of the place, and relaxing, we had a great time and meal, and I think you would too. The food and service were outstanding.

View is tough to bear! Server very attentive! Food was cooked to perfection! Would definitely return on another trip to San Francisco!

This is my first visit to San Francisco, my birthday is September 6th. And I really liked the service and the atmosphere.

Great fresh seafood! Jorge provided great service. Definitely will be back and anyone visiting SF near pier 39 should too

Excellent seafood, service, atmosphere, view. So good we ate there twice in during our five day visit. Much better than expected in such a touristy location.

Restaurant with fresh and quality product Plates very well presented and in quantity We feasted and were there 2 times during our stay Service at the top The just beautiful view

Had a wonderful time and the server was awesome. The food was delicious highly recommend visiting. Thank you Jorge for the service

Choosing a restaurant in the Fisherman’s Wharf area can be overwhelming, yes? So here’s one restaurant that’ll provide you with an accommodating atmosphere and a well rounded menu to boot. Head on over to Pier 39 and take in The Fog Harbor Fish Restaurant, its capacity is great, family friendly, the service top notch, and the menu is in the pocket. We went there for dinner. We ordered the Petrale Sole entree which was sautéed sole served over spinach in a pesto cream sauce along with fingerling potatoes. My wife truly enjoyed this. I had the Ahi-Tuna entree and substituted their yakisoba noodles for fingerling potatoes, this dish was excellent. Mixed-grilled platters consisting of prawns, cod, salmon, stringbeans and mashed potatoes were well received and appreciated. Lastly, the Grilled Salmon filet served with quinoa, arugula, dried cranberries, tomato-relish, and a lemon vinaigrette-beure blanc medley topped with crispy onions decadent. We really enjoyed the experience. I was impressed with the establishment and wanted to know what was the capacity, so I asked an employee who (was as curious as I was) summoned a manager, I poised the same question and he became alarmed and defensive. And questioned me and as to why I wanted to know. This manager needs a bit of polishing on his customer relations skills. He should’ve inquired as to how was our experience and did we enjoy everything. I do not like to write negative reviews on my food blog, because being in the industry one would expect the professionalism that comes with it. Nonetheless, we went back to The Fog Harbor restaurant for the lunch 2 days later and had a better experience. I’d like to express our gratitude to our servers, Jordan who did a phenomenal job and to Pedro who also did a great job, thank you guys. I recommend The Fog Harbor Fish House restaurant, the food is great. Thanks Tripsters, Chef Edwin Padilla Good Food…Good Vibes

Eating at Fog Harbor Fish House on Pier 39 means accepting a compromise: you’re in a hyper-touristy area, but with spectacular views of San Francisco Bay that alone are worth half the experience. The other half? The food, which surprises on the positive. I chose the legendary Cioppino, and I did well. Rich, intense soup, full of fish and shellfish, served steaming as tradition commands. Not a shy version for distracted tourists, but a generous, tasty dish, which honors this recipe born in San Francisco thanks to Italian-American fishermen. The service is quick and friendly, used to large numbers but without giving the impression of wanting to “take out the table”. Prices in line with location (Pier 39 does not discount anyone and my flat cost 42 USD), but generous portions and consistent quality. In the background, the sea lions play their part: noisy, intrusive and irresistible, like unsolicited extras but perfectly integrated into the show. In summary: tourist yes, but done well. What are we taking home Roberta? "The check!"

Jorge was fabulous! Made my son’s 17th birthday dinner memorable. His service was exceptional. The crab cakes and calamari were delicious and flavorful. We had the surf and turf and the steak was cooked perfectly. Great experience.

Great food, good atmosphere, lovely views, small kids portions. Denis was very attentive, great service, was very quick to seat us when it was very busy

Nice view, tasty fish and excellent service by Jorge! We strongly recommend it, you can visit it after Alcatraz and cruise tour!

AMAZING!! 10/10 food , restaurant atmosphere was fabulous. our server jorge more like jor-slay he was GREAT, so nice and helpful with any questions. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! photo is of all desserts on offer they give u great detail.

My wife and I, being on Pier 39, got carried away by the desire to lobster and by chance we came to this restaurant. We had their clam chowder in bread format (with added lobster that strange threshing) and a “roll lobster” sandwich. The soup was exceptional, really commendable. Also good sandwich although in my opinion the type of bread is not the best as it soaks in oil .. In two 69USD, price more than fair! Would recommend!!

Denis did a great job on a very special day for us. The chowder bowl was wonderful! Highly recommend visiting this restaurant!

The food is excellent! By far the best food we have been served in the USA. We gave a decent tip, but apparently 25% and upwards were expected. We were not passed on a “normal” tip of 18%, which we still consider appropriate. Too bad!

We thought it was the classic tourist trap, but it turned out to be a very good restaurant, so much so that we had dinner there 3 times. Good choice of fish dishes cooked with skill. Friendly and prompt Service. Great value for money. I recommend booking if you go on weekends.

We dined last night on September 4th and Carlos was our Waiter and he gave us the best experience a couple celebrating their anniversary could have. He is so knowledgeable and you can tell he cares for what he does and I was astounded to hear he has been working there for 10 years! Because of him we are making this our regular anniversary dinner spot, but next time we visit we hope to see him as a manager. Thank you Carlos for the amazing experience!

Great service, very good food, super comfortable location on Pier 39. In an area full of touristy options, this place felt like the real deal. Pricey, but better than the other places around the area.

You expect the most delicious seafood because of where you are, but sadly, I have had better in non seaside restaurants. Not bad, don’t get me wrong, just not that great

Bustling busy restaurant with a lovely view of the harbour. Excellent service. Food was decent with very large portion sizes. Tasted ok but not excellent.

Denis was the best Server he went to the managers office just to get my hot sauce he said it was special just for me with my name on it and when I asked for still water he walked to the mountain of Fiji walked back and waited for me to come back. !!!!

Our server Jorge was truly exceptional: very welcoming, attentive, and always smiling. He gave us great recommendations with kindness and efficiency, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for the impeccable service — I highly recommend!

Jorge was wonderful, kind, helpful and tentative. Very helpful with the menu in detail. Shouldn't have let me pour my own wine but appreciate the after thought

Okay, here's a 5-star review for Denis and the restaurant: "I had an amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Our waiter, Denis, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always on the ball. We never had to ask for anything – he anticipated our needs perfectly. Denis made us feel welcome and ensured we had a fantastic time. I highly recommend this restaurant, and be sure to ask for Denis!"

Sit and watch the seals with a delicious hot bowl of clam chowder in a bread bowl. Iconic San Francisco. Great way to warm up after the Alcatraz tour.

Luis was amazing!!!! So kind and provided great service. Fog Harbor was recommended to us, as we are visiting from out of town. Luis did a great job and it was the perfect dinner with great friends!

Jorge was the best waiter! He was informative, friendly and fun! We got a wonderful bottle of wine and Shellfish Platter for two.Bothe wine and food were Excellent!

Great food and great views. This restaurant is in a good location and has great vibes. Jorge offered us great service. Thanks

We celebrated our 26th anniversary at the Fog Harbor fish house. It was really amazing, such a great atmosphere and the food is out of this world.

Great service from Jorge, Great food and great atmosphere. I will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family

An absolutely wonderful dining experience! The organization was spot-on — from the moment we walked in, everything felt smooth and well-coordinated. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive, which made us feel truly taken care of. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. We also loved the view — it added a special charm to the whole evening. The overall atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, creating those perfect ‘feel-good’ vibes. A place we’ll definitely return to!”

Great start when arrived at restaurant with wonderful cocktails whilst waiting for the rest of the family. Table was lovely, and service and waiters at start really good. U nfortunately, I ordered the dungerness crab at $65….presentation was fab. Sadly when you lift the main shell off the crab dish there is no meat whatsovere inside the crab shell. The white and broown meat no where to be seen. Due to so much conversation with the family and having paid the bill, noticed this too late. Just meat in legs and claws. Trying to complain afterwards, all of a sudden , no one can speak english??? Went back the very next day to approach the manager , who claims this part of the world they do not eat the meat they throw it away!!!! Spoke to some locals and they suggest this is absolute rubbish!!! Do yourselves a favour and DO NOT order the crab….bloody outrageuos. Will not go back there!!!!

First words Fantastic. We got there before our reservation (very early) and the host was able to accommodate us within minutes. Diana our waitress was sweet and knowledgable on the whole menu. She had some recommendations for us after what we mentioned what we were looking at on the menu. We finally went with clam chowder in a freshly backed sourdough bun and choppino soups as an entree. OMG the taste and freshness was amazing. The portions were very nice and plentiful. We finally went with grilled mixed fish platter. Every thing was just right. My wife was amazed on the service that it was there rush and yet our food came out with no delays and timed as we finished our soups. I am not from San Fransisco but will return if and when I am back. Highly recommended. We where very satisfied

This is a great location for a restaurant with terrific views overlooking the wharfs and harbour. We were recommended it but the concierge of our hotel which we appreciated. We had two glasses of La Crema Chardonnay, clam chowder in the bowl and a Shrimp Caesar salad and chowder combo. The food was tasty but only two shrimp which worked out at $4 each. The La Crema Chardonnay is one of our favourite wines which we order whenever we can get it but tasted quite acidic and was disappointing. Maybe a new year we've not had yet or it needed more time to breathe in the glass. At $19 a glass it felt pricy for what we'd call 'pub wine' back home - i.e. nothing special and a bit tart. Our server, Jason, we really friendly, helpful and efficient. And we had a lovely table so all in all we enjoyed it and would go back here again.

The food here is delicious. The staff is very helpful, Mr. Denis. Takes very good care of us and also recommends the wine that is delicious.

I ordered the swordfish! Super!!! And thank you to Jorge for his recommendation. All delicious! Very nice Mood and music a ten!

The recommendations from Jorge were spot on! Would come back again. View from the table was amazing! Rey the halibut and swordfish

We ate great, delicious fish, effective and kind Joerge. If you're passing through San Francisco, go for a pop.

Amazing food, beautiful view - Denis recommended great food and everything was very fresh! His rec for the risotto was perfect!

The restaurant has a pleasant Mood with a very good view. The staff especially Jorge was very friendly and accommodating including explanation of menu with recommendations. The food itself was a 9/10. I had the NY steak. The price is absolutely reasonable for the quality, taste, views and location.

Jorge is pretty good waiter with great service, he is always the first time to check out dining status and pretty friendly. I like the restaurant and the servcie.

Absolutely delicious! The crab and the Monster were phenomenal, some of the best I've ever had. Our waiter, Jorge, was incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place

Had the crab risotto, the crab and avocado caesar, and the clam chowder of course. All amazing! Especially their sourdough. One of a kind. Denis was very attentive.

We had so much fun! We got the garlic full crab and it was delicious. I also can’t recommend the biscoff cheesecake enough. Denis took such incredible care of us! We can’t wait to come back on our next time in SF

Good quality seafood at pier 39 in San Francisco. The place is very big and maybe there is a bit to wait, but for the Quality of food it is worth it. Excellent risotto and also good cioppino (which would be a variant in our cacciucco). Medium/high prices.

Jorge was an excellent server. Made us feel welcome and had great customer service. The good and the view was beautiful.

Excellent food, highly recommended the clam chowder. Luis's service was exceptional. The place is very pleasant, with a view of the San Francisco marina and is located on the top floor, which enhances the scenery even more.

We had dinner on Sunday, the place is pleasant and we didn't wait to have a table, the staff very very friendly and with excellent attitude, the truth very well, Alex, he attended us super. The place is fine, the traditional clam chowder in delicious bread bowl, they had no fried squid and that lowered the rating a bit. Rich and affordable wine (Ternbull)

Had to pre-book as busy restaurant. Always a sign of a good restaurant. Plenty of staff and had a good view of the harbour. Food was high quality, and still catered for those that aren't fish lovers as had a trusted burger on the menu. The desserts looked and tasted great. Only disappointing part was that the server only showed us a tray of desserts rather than a menu, so i had to ask how much each one was and what was in them. Dont like having to do that as always feels a bit embarrassing, but don't like not knowing how much things cost that I am eating. Would recommend, but please share the prices of the desserts.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Very efficient online booking Service. Cute and welcoming place, typical of sea areas. Good clam chowder and fried scallops. Also good Cioppino (typical fish soup) although a bit strong sauce and lobster sandwich. High price. Out of tune note: the tendency, typical American, to immediately bring the bill as soon as you finish eating

Great food and great atmosphere! Also, Jorge is a great server! Highly recommend and would definitely come back again!

We went for our honeymoon, the waiter's name was Luis, he was very attentive, charming and helpful. Always ready to help and recommend the best possible option. Without a doubt the crab risotto and the cioppino that is the house brand, could not miss. The white wine was amazing and the dessert was a kind of brownie coockie of nuts , vanilla and chocolate... it is a cozy place , with smells of shellfish that feed and not at all leaves you hungry. If you come to San Francisco this place is more than recommended, and if you see Luis, tell him we are still married hahahahahaha

Delicious seafood lunch. started with bowl of clam chowder, the then the crab and shrimp cheese ravioli. yummy with lots of crab! and our waiter Denis was great! attentive and friendly!

We had a great time and ate fabulous seafood. Recommend the steamed clams, double lobster tails, and steamed crab. While this restaurant could be thought of as touristy, the food and service were excellent. Highly recommend for residents and tourists. Reservations are highly recommended especially during summer and weekends. Enjoy!

The food was delicious! We got a nice variety- Oysters, clams, mussels, ceviche. And Fog Harbor Beer on Pier 39! Everything was really tasty, the service was good, the view fabulous. Our hotel concierge gave us a coupon and we saved 15%. We will eat here again next time we visit

Good food, excellent views! We went there because we wanted sea food, but were pleasantly surprised when we noticed that we could see the planes flying during SF Fleet Week. We had an excellent view even though we did not have a table by the window. The wait was long, but they take your cell phone. We took a nice walk through Pier 39 while we waited. Eventually, we received a text letting us to start walking back because our table was almost ready. Once there we waited another 5 minutes. So, the wait was not a problem for us. We ordered the oysters, crab cakes and fish and chips. We would have any of them again. We will be back next time we are visiting the SF Piers.

They refuse to serve me unless I paid in advance, cause I’m black racist median man thought I couldn’t afford my meal they tried to make me pay for water and called the police

Came in for lunch on a Sunday. Place got busy, food is good. Many seafood options to select and speciality cocktails. Our waiter Denis was excellent!

We were recommended chowder at the pier and this place was number 1 rated- it did not disappoint! We had not booked as we’re unsure how long we would be at Alcatraz, but headed over and were seated right away. Large food and drink menu. Most of the party ordered the chowder sourdough bowl which was excellent. Nice venue, friendly staff and reasonably priced.

Great food and great services. Denis is brilliant. We had clam chowder in sourdough break bowl, risotto and cioppino. Enjoyed our dinner here.

All around great place from the minute we stopped to put our name in with the hostess through the time we left. Service and food were great. The lobster bisque is fabulous as was the halibut that I had and the crab ravioli with shrimp.

An excellent address at Pier 39 near Fisherman’s Whar. The fish dishes are delicious. Lobster or scallops are succulent. To note an espresso martini as an aperitif rather well mastered and a 5 star Service from Jorge. Thank you, we will be back!

Very delicious food and awesome service by Jorge! The fish and shrimp I had was very fresh and delicious! Nice view of the harbor.

The best Clam Soup I've ever tasted! with a wonderful view. Very nice restaurant. Denis looked after us in luxury. Congratulations!

The food was delicious and our server Luis, was wonderful! We have been here twice on our 5 day trip. We had the scallops with crab risotto and the crab.

Denis was a great server - very informative and helpful when answering our question. He was also attentive, pleasant to be around, and made accommodations easy.

We visited the restaurant for dinner. It was me, my husband and our three kids. The place was full so good that we had made a reservation upfront. The service was great and we got a table appointed right away and our waiter took good care of us and gave us the best service. He also seemed very skilled and gave great guidance on our choice of wine and food. On our way out he gave recommendations on places to visit on the next stop of our journey. The food was very delicious and freshly made. We were very satisfied. The only comment I would give back is that the restaurant should consider fixing the acoustics. The background noise was very loud, and probably could be fixed with small means.

Very busy location on Pier39 - obviously turns out some decent food - my dish was however saturated with garlic & over seasoned - handy to keep the vampires away but not a great experience for the next few hours - very very busy - speedy service - choice of dish was maybe my downfall

Hugely busy place with nice view. Good food and reasonable prices. The tuna tartare was great. Even the wine is affordable.

Fabulous food at this amazing restaurant with amazing views overlooking Alcatraz. We were looked after well so service was great. Definitely worth a visit. I had the seafood risotto which was beautifully made and tasted delicious.

From the wonderful view to the excellent service ( Amy M) to the excellent petrole sole, this experience was all I could hope for in a day trip to this city. Hope I can replicate soon and would ask for Amy as a server as well as the same table with extraordinary view ( and would order the exact same meal ) !

Excellent experience! Denis is so nice! Definitely a good place to enjoy with families. I will be here next time for sure!

Really fantastic meal. Food very good quality, generous potions and great taste. Waiter jorge was very polite, informative and efficient

This was our 1st time here and all we fan say is 10 out of 10. We were seated quickly. The restaurant is fabulous and the views were amazing. Luis was our waiter and he was spectacular!

excellent experience in this restaurant conveniently located in the heart of the pier 39 table overlooking the port we have feasted on seafood and fish dishes service at the top caring staff

We booked in this seafood restaurant because attracted by the local sea view. In fact, in addition to the place and Service, the food is also very good. Costs are a little high, but still average for San Francisco. Excellent swordfish and crab. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this beautiful restaurant overlooking pier 39 with sea lions, the golden gate bridge and alcatraz. Everything here is very well cared for, the food is great the amazing crab and the Cioppino (typical soup of Ligurian / American origin), the various and tasty desserts. We thank our waiter Jorge who nicely and competently advised us and described the dishes and wines. Local really recommended!!!
Good food, good service, lively atmosphere
Enjoyable experience. Great location and decent quality food. Service from Jorge very good. Quite a lively place - a fun atmosphere
