I have been here a few times for professional meetings/holiday parties & it is always a great time. The gaucho experience is unique & fun & I hear the meats are truly delicious. For myself, the salad bar is beautiful & inviting (tho i do not think any vegetarian can eat enough to match the price). The staff are attentive & warm, the restaurant is attractive, and the dining experience was a feast to remember. Be sure to sign up for Eclub as I received a coupon the day of our dinner reservation. Plus, Dad was given a complimentary dessert. Their brownie a la mode with strawberries & blueberries was super yummy! The pea & asparagus soup was my fave at the salad bar. We will try lunch during the week next.

First time - will visit again. Excellent service, wonderful salad bar, and the selection of different meats - out of this world. I may never eat again...we were a party of 10 - seated in a great location.

What a great dinner!! The staff Namos, Andrea, and Cindy were so attentive and food was so delicious!!!!! They even made our dessert so welcoming. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Everything was great. We had 160 and the service was excellent. It was easy to find and walk to from the JW Marriott. The cocktails selection was superb as well.

Great service. Group of 4 who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Nice red wine and of course the festival of delicious meat. Salad bar was great and very happy I saved room for the Creme Brulee! Thoroughly recommend if you are downtown - easy walking distance from the Hilton.

Everything was pretty much amazing! The customer service, the cleanliness, the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and love the variety/choices. Be prepared to valet or find parking offsite as the area behind the restaurant has very few available spaces. Overall I'd definitely go back and with an appetite!

So worth the money. Always an amazing meal and if you go at lunch same great meal at a fraction of the cost

The service experience at Fogo was outstanding. People really appreciated our business and everyone went above and beyond. They have done everything I could think of to provide a safe and outstanding dining experience. The salad bar items were delivered to our table. And the meat was same presentation and delivery as ever. We were encouraged to stay as long as we wanted and really appreciated the great customer service here.

If you have a desire for meat, this is the place to go. Expensive but so worth it. Use it for business contest payoffs & for my teenage boys. Sunday lunch is great value.

Visited to celebrate our last vacation day in Austin (before returning to Ireland) birthdays for my twin girls and niece. Amazing salad selection and high quality meats brought to our table with professionalism. Great atmosphere with polite attentive servers. Loved the complimentary desserts for the birthday girls. Shout out to Tai for his friendliness and in-depth knowledge of the cocktails highly recommend for a special occasion. Mark and family

Great vibe at the Brazil Steakhouse. A wide range off great meat is served at your table and an awesome salad bar. Friedly staff will continu to serve until you switch the sign on red. The best steak house in Austin.

Having frequently dined at Texas de Brazil, we thought we'd try Fugo de Chao. Service was good although the waitress did look hassled! In terms of the meat selections brought round to the tables, it was like famine or feast, one after the other then nothing for ages, also various beef items but we didn't see any lamb or pork at all. Loved the cocktails & the quality of the meats was good. If I had a choice between Fugo & Texas de Brazil, I have to say I'd go for Texas de Brazil.

Brazilian steakhouses are almost uniformly good and the Austin Fogo de Chao doesn't disappoint. The Market Bar is just as big a draw as the meat itself -- our favorites were the blanched asparagus, the smoked salmon, the layered caprese salad, the tabouleh, and the fresh papaya and pineapple. The cheese bread brought to the table (gluten-free, by the way) is delicious, and the palate-cleansing sauteed plantain was a very good sweet break - and all the "dessert" you need after such a huge meal, too. The fried polenta, usually very good, was over-cooked and cold when brought to our table, however, and we got there at opening. If you're only interested in one or two cuts of meat, it's best to tell the first gaucho who approaches your table with any cut of meat. They will send someone over with it or go get it themselves. My favorites are the beef picanha and the lamb chops/leg of lamb. The seasoning on both are similar, and both are the best meats I've ever eaten. Those who wish to sample lots of meats, though, will be in their glory, because everything is delicious. Service is always exceptional -- they work as a team, so no one will ever pass your table by if they notice you're low on water, tea, drinks, or the shareable dishes of the table (mashed potatoes, fried plantains, fried polenta, cheese bread) -- and friendly. You are never rushed (we spent 2.5 hours there for lunch), but please be sure to tip well if you linger, as we did! The only thing holding me back from giving this location a full five stars is the shockingly high cost of the valet parking. To begin with, one would think a restaurant of this price and caliber would offer free valet parking (with tip for the valet, of course), even in downtown Austin, so we were quite surprised to be charged $10 for parking by the valet, not including the $5 tip for him.

This is my second trip going to Fogo De Chao and the service was superb! All the waiters and waitresses were very attentive and very nice. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the laid-back ambiance. Roberto, the General Manager, was awesome and always checked to see how we were doing. I can tell he really cares about his staff and his restaurant. Will definitely go back again in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this Brazilian bbq. The salad bar was amazing. Great choices and really fresh considering we went at 9:30 at night. The meat was fantastic and the service was quick and efficient. So much food and a very nice atmosphere. Would eat here again

Took a friend here for his birthday. No complaints. The salad bar was my favorite part of the meal. The meat service and selection was excellent.

I was delighted to find that there was a Fogo de Chao closely located to both my hotel and the hotel that was hosting the conference I was attending. Fogo is almost always on their game and they were during the middle of the week (a Tuesday evening) when we went for dinner. As always, have an appetite when you visit a Fogo location - there are so many different meat choices and a well stocked salad bar and hot item area there as well. Food alone is a little spendy. Adding drinks can quickly push your bill a bit. Normally sodas are charged by the bottle, so be aware that you shouldn't expect free refills on those items (water and Iced Tea are normally free refills). If you've never visited a Fogo the gauchos will explain the process to you (basically green means go and that you'll have food delivered to your table, red means pause or no food please - you'll set those options via small disks on the tables). Gauchos will weave through the place offering freshly cut (right at your table) meats at your table, cooked to your liking/preference.

CLAYTON IS AMAZING! SERVICE IS TO DIE FOR & FOOD IS INDESCRIBABLE! WOW! We happened upon this restaurant while in Austin for a conference. My daughter had been to the Boston location and suggested we try it! We walked by and happened upon the manager, Clayton (holding the door for us). Even though we did not enter at this time, we did have a wonderful chat with Clayton and found out he actually was involved in the Boston opening as well as the Austin. (He has opened many Fogo de Chao's) He chatted with us, explained the restaurant. AN AMAZING conversation. He was so pleasant and informative. Well, needless to say two days later we decided to go for dinner. 7/21/17 we entered around 6:00pm and were greeted by three smiling hostesses who seated us promptly. THen we were in for one of the best meals of our lives. not only was the food tremendous, but the service was above and beyond!! Everything was PERFECT...and I don't mean..almost perfect, I mean PERFECT! The staff was like NO OTHER! NONE. Anywhere I've ever been. ALL HAPPY, ALL AMAZING. Knowing exactly when to glide over to your table unnoticed and take care of whatever you need, EXACTLY when you need it! Clayton told us that the servers who serve the meats actually are the chef's of each of the meat that they serve! THEY COOK IT AND SERVE IT! These guys were SO POLITE, SO EFFICIENT! Just AMAZING! I have never experienced a store, restaurant, ANYTHING....where everyone worked SO WONDERFULLY together AND were happy about it!! CLAYTON HAS A LOT TO BE PROUD OF! WOW! A FANTASTIC STAFF! We will definitely visit Boston (My daughter says Boston is a tad more formal) and the new "Opening Soon" Jacksonville FL location! Now All the meats were not only cooked well, but cooked to PERFECTION! SERVED PERFECTLY and at the perfect time!. Let me explain a little. This is a restaurant that is a one priced meal. It's like $51. per person and the main courses are all included. (appetizers, desserts and drinks are additional). There is a huge "food bar" where you can sample numerous cheeses, vegetables, salads, many sliced meats, I can go on and on and on...The food bar is worth the $50. Then the staff serves these mini-cheese popovers...yes, AWESOME! Mashed potatoes, and then the meats start coming and coming and coming. Filet, Ribeye, Garlic, Sirloin, Chicken, Pork, and on and on and on.... the chefs and servers of the meats, cut off small portions for you as you wish and continue on making the rounds....as they still are cooking the meats int he back! Amazing! What a wonderful concept of dining! I just can't say enough about CLAYTON! He obviously loves his work and his staff. His staff obviously loves him....they were as a WONDERFUL TEAM. NO COMPLAINTS and if I lived here, I'd be in the AUSTIN TEXAS FOGO DE CHAO all the time! ABSOLUTELY above all others!

Everything delicious, the drinks (caipirinha), the food, specially the beef ribs, amazing!!! The waitresses, the environment.

Wanted a nice place for Christmas Eve dinner and since I'd heard good things we made a reservation here. The service was fantastic during the meal. I figure it's not fair to compare, but Texas de Brazil blows this place out of the water. Salad bar selection is small, and the meat was good but really only one selection worth getting more than once. Everyone only had one plate compared to when we eat at TdB so that was a let down. There was a mix up when it was time for the bill and I ended up with another table's check (and their credit card) and no one apologized or said hey, thanks for giving back this persons card. I don't know if they said anything to the other table but the server just said oh dear and mumbled that it was the manager that messed up while walking off. I know stuff happens but overall just ruined it a little for me so I wouldn't come back.

Visited for dinner. Service was efficient and food excellent. The buffet had s good selection and the meats were excellent.

Remember to only gently sample the salad bar and save your appetite for the main attraction - the meats !

If you have never been to a Brazilian Restaurant before, the quantity of food available may be a surprise. Fogo de Chao is exceptional, from the bar selection to the salad bar to the entree and dessert. For those who wish to partake in libations, there is an excellent wine list and a vast selection of high end liquors. The selection at the salad bar was extensive and delicious and the entrees....Lamb, Top Sirlion, Bacon Wrapped Chicken, sausage.....be careful with the dessert- very rich and delicious- the Flan was reported as superb.

What an incredibly romantic dinner my hubby and I had here! Excellent service, beautiful restaurant and the food was absolutely amazing!

I would have gave this a one if it hadn’t been for such good service. This was the worst experience ever at a Fogo de Chao. The meats weren’t tender, it was flavorless, and the chicken legs had a “off” taste. There wasn’t any ribeye served, only sirloin as far as beef went. Back to the service, everyone was extremely nice and helpful.

Let me start by saying that I eat at a Brazilian steakhouse once a month. Due to a work event in downtown Austin, a group of (15) of us visited this location on Thursday evening (9/15/2022). There was maybe 1-4 tables full when we arrived and perhaps throughout our entire stay. At first, the GM of the restaurant greeted us, explained the specials, etc. and was very attentive. After that, it was all downhill and we never saw the GM again. #1 * My favorite item is the Picanha. When the server came around with this, I informed him I wanted medium-rare. He then sliced and it was more medium-well (no pink whatsoever). I told him again I wanted medium-rare and he had the audasity to tell me that it was medium-rare. When I pushed back, he said "Oh, you probably haven't eaten this style before. This is considered medium-rare." Are you serious? At that point, I was so upset that the remaining of my meal was bread because I didn't want to deal with the servers after that statement. #2 * Other guests at my table requested lamb multiple times from multiple servers at the beginning of service. They didn't arrive with lamb until we had already received the bill. #3 * The servers would only come around to half of the table and then dismiss the other half. Even though there was plenty of meat left on their skewers. And they never came back. They were completely forgetting to serve the other side of our table. #4 * We all ordered dessert, yes at differnt times. However, a few of us (including myself) ordered the creme brulee. We ordered it while other people were still eating their normal food, so it's not like we ordered it late. Later we sat around waiting as we were watching people that ordered dessert after us receive their desserts. The bill was paid and we still had not yet received our desserts. We asked numerous times throughout of the status and we just got an "ok I'll check" as a verbal response with no follow-ups later. By the time everyone was packing up to go, we told a server that everyone was leaving and we still had not received our desserts. We were then given a togo bag with a container on the inside. When we looked inside the container it was a creme brulee that was flipped upside down and mostly-melted/falling apart...so more like a custard pudding sliding around the container. Needless to say, none of us ate the dessert. This was horrible service, especially for the price that they charge! If you are planning a group dining event, DON'T DO IT HERE! If they can't handle 15 people on a Thursday night when it's slow, they won't be able to handle your group if it's on a busy Friday or Saturday night. I've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse where the servers have been so inattentive and dismissive.

When a restaurant has their service and food quality well defined and you get the feel of being transported to a different location I am usually already happy about my experience. This restaurant did that for me the other night when my family and I had a great experience dining for back to school night. We felt very well attended to and left with happy, full bellies. The staff is attentive and responds to everything you may need in seconds. You better pay attention to the position of you card. The little cheese balls are to die for. The market place buffet offers a super large variety of items and is replenished and cleaned all the time. We will come back for sure.

This place had great service and great food! It's a little pricey, but so worth it! I don't suggest sitting in the bar area, it's a little cramped and the service was slow. The salad bar was pretty amazing too.

I have come here many times and had excellent service but yesterday it wasn't the same. I am not sure if they were overwhelmed because they were busy but it was weird. Food is excellent as always but once you get use to great service it's hard to get use to anything else.

I have had the good fortune to eat a few Fogo steakhouses, but this one is my favorite. If you have never had the chance, save up some cash and give it a try. The salad bar is superb and they don't skimp on your choices either... even providing proscuito as a choice. The meats are brought around to your table and you have a wide choice to choose from... from chicken to pork, sausage to lamb and a variety of beef options. The great thing is that you don't have to choose just one, as you can try them all if you wish. The side dishes are served family style and they just keep bringing them. The staff in Austin is wonderful and the last time I was there, they surprised us with a desert made especially for us with Deere spelled out in white chocolate on a green Kiwi background. We were there for the John Deere Expo. It was a really nice gesture and much appreciated. The Fogo de Chao restaurants are a bit pricey, but here is a hint... go for the noon meal, it is considerably cheaper and the same great food.

This is a totally unique dinning experience. Great for a family. They bring various skewers of a meats to your table. You can choose which ones you want to try. The food is awesome.

Lovely meat that just keeps on coming. The salad bar was a little disappointing. Service was varied between good and aloof.

Honestly there are some things that are very good with this restaurant, but there are also some downsides. Starting with the positives: The salad bar i thought was very good. The meat overall was good, but for the price i might have expected better. On the down side, the service was lousy (meat waiters excepted!). We weren't even asked what we wanted just sat there until we got on the meat wagon. There was fish on the website, we didn't want it, but it would have been nice to have been asked. As far as quality is concerned and to be blunt I don't think that the clientele on the night help. There were tables of people trying to eat their bodyweight in meat to get value for their money. Overall I would not return, but this could be so much better

Food was great, lots of time on the salad bar. The staff were real friendly and knew about the dishes being served.

I was a part of a group, and so maybe they don't allocate enough staff for groups. The salad bar was ok, and the meats were bland. Also, the poor guys they had working our event seemed horribly rushed and slightly irritable - not at us, but maybe at their workload. The one high point was the carmelized pineapple dessert, which was unique and fantastic. But that's not really why people come to Fogo de Chao, is it? I've been here before, but only as group invitee. Last time, the meat was better. I don't think I'd come here if it were on my own nickel. I give it a three out of five.

I have eaten at other Fogos and the food is good at all of them, but the wait staff at this Austin location were especially attentive. Fun evening :-)

The entire staff was amazing and Christina one of the managers was gracious, helpful and kind. Food was excellent!! Highly recommend!!!

We went to this Fogo de Chao to celebrate, some of our friends recommended the restaurant, oh man! The steak, salad bar, chess was unbelievable. Be sure to order the Brazilian drinks Caipirinhas. Strawberry n Hibiscus. Parking area or spots not good, we have to use a municipality parking lot, next time I will use the valet.

My boyfriend and I dined at Fogo de Chao with some of our closest friends. It’s been quite some time since my last visit to a Brazilian steak house, but I did know to show up hungry. I arrived first and was warmly greeted by the hostess; she kindly confirmed our reservations and ensured I was served a cocktail of choice while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. Once seated, our server quickly and happily welcomed us with a smile to help settled us at our table. He was very friendly and proceeded explained the wonderful experience we were about to embark upon. We were invited to graze the salad bar and urged to not hesitate with any requests. I was pleasantly surprised at the exotic varieties found at the salad bar; from the mouthwatering smoked salmon, the amazing variety of imported cheeses, to the fresh and flavorful fruits and veggies, this was not a plain-o salad bar. I was sure to not over indulge because I know the showstopper is the skewered meats. Within seconds of indicating I was ready, the gouchos arrived offering endless choices of delectable meat perfection. There was different chicken selections, bottom loin steak, ribeye, lamb lollipops, and several bacon wrapped creations. Each was perfectly seasoned, tender, juicy and cooked to our specifications, which was surprising to me. I didn’t think I would get a choice of how it was prepared. The portions were just right so that we could taste and enjoy as little or as much as each of us preferred. I didn’t have room for dessert, but I may have to start with dessert the next time I go; I have only heard wonderfulness of the sweet treats. The whole experience was fabulous; I can’t wait to go back!

Outstanding service! it was great food and outstanding service. Everyone on the team was involved on insuring we had and outstanding lunch! It's hard to find staff that do this well. Thank you for all you did!

My wife was in Austin for a conference and on the last night, we decided to go to Fogo De Chao and enjoy a great meal. We’ll, we we very disappointed. People come to Fogo for the meats. We have tried many other locations and have never been disappointed. Here in Austin, very disappointed. The meats were without flavor and in some cases, without seasoning. Most of the meats were chewy and tough. Both my wife and I had to spit out some of the meats because they were so tough. We did report this to the manager but based on other reviews, it appears that the issues persist. Never go there again.

This is the best place to eat steak! There are so many kinds of meat. Excellent flavor and quality. Excellent attention. The salad bar is gorgeous! The side dishes are unlimited and delicious.

I attended a reception held here last week. The rooftop bar was great. Incredible plates of food, mainly meat! The service was outstanding and friendly. I will be back for a full carnivour meal!

Let’s get this out of the way - steaks and salad bar items were very good, among the best of the Brazilian steakhouses I have been to. However, when you’re the first table seated for the night for your sons birthday, and they forget after being reminded, that’s not service I am interested in being part of. Not to mention, after paying the bill, it took 15 minutes for them to present me with credit card statement to sign. Disappointing.

Fogo in Austin was very good…great salad bar…I would have wanted to see some more meat cuts but the options offered were high quality and tasty.

I never thought about dining here for lunch but a colleague suggested we go there and it was great! They have a huge salad bar with extensive selections from green salads to roasted vegetables, someday salmon, soup, cheeses, proisciotto and much more. There is an option to add on chicken, lamb or beef for an additional charge. It was quite a lot of food for lunch but I will return again.

Went here for dinner as myself and friend really like rodizzios in Denver. Same experience here. Made a reservation and got seated as soon as we got there. Easy to find and there is a pay to park parking lot less than a block away which was nice. Food as always was great! Servers explained the process very well and took great care of us. Wasn’t sure how it was going to go as we were sat in the back corner. But once we were ready it was good paced with the meats.

Dinner was great service was over the top. Great dinner would highly recommend to everyone . Staff was very attentive. Manager came over to make sure our experience was great.

Stopped in for a happy hour drink, the bar tender was pleasant and the drink was very good. I was disappointed to learn they don't offer a military discount at the bar, only for dining.

We have been to Fogo in Chicago many times and our visit to the Austin location was very so so. The drinks took forever and we waited 25 minutes to be told our dessert was no longer available. They brought the same cuts of meat around over and over, never what I specifically asked for. Just an average experience for what was supposed to be a romantic anniversary dinner.

This place, although pricey, is INCREDIBLE! There is something for everyone here. The salad bar had delicious composed salads as well as create your own. There is a charcuterie area with great cheese and meat selections. The sides they bring to the table are really good too, and the meat, omg, so good. It was great birthday dinner for my uncle. He was giddy like a school girl over the meat.

And all so good. I didn't know I ever had limitations on how much I could eat until dining here. What wonderful folks and food. They kept it all coming and all so tasty too. This is a treat and we'll worth the price.

We have been customers for many years having gone to the old location on many occasions. We went to the new Congress Avenue location this trip being it was close to the ACL Theater. Upon arrival the hostess stand was not staffed leaving us wondering what to do. There were plenty of open tables and a few bar seats available. Within a couple minutes a hostess arrived and put us on a 30 minute wait that turned into 10 minutes. We were sat at a two top table near the self serve buffet items and left without any direction. One of the waiters walked by within a few minutes and dropped some rolls before walking away without speaking. No drink order, no red/green placard for the table…. #Notta. Being we have been there many times we just went to the buffet and back to the table. It was still several minutes before the drink order was obtained and there was little communication from the staff. We finally got our placards and the meat servers started coming by. It was disappointing as they didn’t have many choices and the same meat cuts came by. We typically enjoyed their lamb chops and asked for them. The server commented the lamb was not a common meat item. That was a strange comment as we always saw lamb chops at the old location. The leg of lamb came and was very good but when the lamb chops were served I was surprised at the quality. They were thin and didn’t appear to have any seasoning like they once did and were a disappointment. We were not impressed by the service or the quality of food on this trip. Being a Sunday evening and maybe short staffed we want to believe this was an off night for them. I certainly hope the next visit is better or we will not go back with so many other great steakhouses in the same area.

Our company went here for a celebration. It was the bast thing ever! The servers were quick and attentive. The management was super accommodating and understanding. We had zero complaints from the team. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Highly recommended.

Very Disappointing! I was excited to try this restaurant in its new Austin location. The design and esthetic were very appealing, but that's where the positive feedback ends. We showed up promptly at 2 PM for our reservation and were pointed to the bar to wait. After waiting ten minutes, we asked the hostess the status of our table and learned they were still preparing it. This delay would not be an issue if we had better communication and if it were the only delay we encountered. Andrea greeted us pretty promptly but was very hard to find to get water refills and a fresh plate as needed. When I have dined at any Brazilian restaurant, I have had to turn my medallion red because the food comes out too quickly. We stayed at green the whole time and had to repeatedly ask for service and different meat varieties. The request was harder to communicate because the staff could not communicate in English. On three occasions, we had to get a different staff member for support. The meat quality was also poor. When the bill came, they overcharged us, and we had to ask for a correction. At 2 pm, no wait staff should be confused over the standard lunch price. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We visited on Saturday evening. This was a celebration for our whole family. My daughter and son-in-law live in Texas , but the rest of us live in the U.K. we wanted somewhere special to celebrate all five of us reachIng special birthdays as we rarely get together on these events. Fogo de Chao did us proud. Ty, our host made us feel comfortable beyond and was the most amazing host. The food was amazing. Thanks guys ... the special deserts appreciated. Would recommend wholeheartedly. (The fact that the whole restaurant was buzzing with Grand PRIX TEAMS should also be a recommendation)

I love these types of restaurants. I used to frequent Texas de Brazil often and finally got a chance to try Fogo de Chão. I am a meat eater but the salad bar is amazing! Don’t forget to try the bacon!

I came here last night with my wife and we had an Amazing Experience!! Everything was perfect! the Meat was cooked just right and the Salad Bar hit the spot! Service was fast and proficient. Couldn't ask for more. Make sure you bring your eating pants. Will be Back soon!!

This Fogo de Chao is like the others in the chain. Nice salad bar to start, outstanding warm rolls and sides and great tasting meat of all varieties.

It's Christmas Eve in downtown Austin. We're just walking along the 3rd St. looking for a nice place to eat. We found this place which is just few blocks from our hotel. We waited for about five minutes and we did not have reservation. We were seated and our server was Jade who was friendly and helpful explained how the food is served. There were round cards with red and green color on each side, red is for " no thanks" and green is for " yes please" and they will keep serving different kinds of grilled meat. We ate and ate until we can't eat anymore. It was a non stop serving of meat and food! There were buffet tables for sides like fruits, vegetables, grains, bread, cheese, and more. The food was delicious, the meat were all so good, fresh and tender. It was an absolute kind of food experience.

This was our first time at a Fogo de Chao. After our great experience here in Austin we will try others. The salad/vegetable tabled had many selections to choose from and all were very good. The hot sides of bean, rice or sauteed mushrooms were also very good. But the real experience is as they bring the skewers of many types of meat ( I think it was 16) to the table. All the beef cuts were perfect. I'm not usually a lamb fan but it was very good. Our server Damian was always close at hand and helpful. The Manager, Leo, was also attentive and we enjoyed his friendly demeanor. Everything about the place showed good customer service and a team effort to make guest enjoy the meal and evening. There is a Fogo de Chao in Portland, Oregon near our home and we will definitely plan a dinner there soon.

This place is amazing. Yes its pricey, but it´s an all you can eat paradise of great meat. Pao de qeuijo (bread) is amazing, salad bar is huge and service is fast. What else can you ask for? Go, please.

In October 2022 I wrote a review about this restaurant and the horrible experience I received. I was contacted by Fogo de Chao in response to my previous review. I was promised a way better experience if given a second chance and how they moved to their new location (December 2022) and how they did a rigorous training with the staff. Honestly, we've all heard this before...we'll do better...give us a second chance...etc etc.. I can happily say that Fogo de Chao did not dissappoint! A group of four of us arrived and then we were escorted to our table. The service was great! Definitely changed my opinion about this place and would definitely go again. The only thing I found weird was there is only (1) bathroom for men and women to share. There are (5) stalls total and each "stall" was its own individual room with a toilet, sink, etc.. Outside of these "stalls" is a waiting-type room which is somewhat small. I walked in and there were people lined up and smooshed together waiting for a bathroom to open. As we were all waiting, more people were trying to get in and realized that there was no room, so they left. You would think that the architect would have put into consideration the size of the restaurant and occupancy limit to how many restroom stalls would be appropriate, especially if you are having men and women share the stalls. It was just an awkward scenario, that's all. I want to make a special shout-out to Axel! For as busy as the restaurant was on a Saturday night, he always checked in with us and never forgot about us. Now that's what I call service! Would I go here again? Most definitely! Especially after the experience I had.

First mistake was reserving a table at 11 A.M. We got there a little bit afterwards because it was hard to find a parking spot, and we didn't feel the need to spend $15 for parking. We got there and there was only one other table sitting down. I got my plate and proceeded back to my seat and waiting several minutes until I mentioned to my father that the Gaucho has served the other table 4 times and hasn't even bothered coming to me (Note that I had my card flipped to the green side before I even got my plate). It wasn't a big deal, though. I was served food shortly afterwards and the service started picking up a little bit. We mentioned to the same Gaucho 3-4 times that we only wanted to eat the House Special, yet proceeded to ask us if we wanted anything else. It wasn't a huge deal, just a minor annoyance. Also, note that we have been to this Fogo de Chao twice now, and been to the one in Orlando several times. The food wasn't that bad, and surprisingly my parents asked for more salt on the meat. The Pao de Queijo wasn't quite like I remembered, a bit more sour than that of Texas de Brazil or Rodizo Grill. Although I declined getting a birthday dessert, mainly because my birthday was the day before, they proceeded to give me a complimentary dessert, which I thoroughly enjoyed. My parents and I all agree that the Creme Brulee was very good.

It is always a great feast whenever I eat at Fogo de Chao. There's no way I'm eating salad or loading up on cheap carbs when playing $50+ for all-you-can-eat meat. I feasted on as much meat as I could, all served to my preference by attentive staff. Other than the subsequent weight gain and meat sweats, everything else was outstanding.

Great food and atmosphere. the service was excellent and we really enjoyed our meal. Great value for Barzilian steak house in ATX.

Terrible food Meat is disgusting 👎🏻 Very poor salad bar Waiter in a bad mood , meat takes a long time to come out , bread is cold and not fresh at all

Always a good Brazilian restaurant, if you are a meat lover... it is your dream come true... If you are a vegetarian... great place to go, salad bars incredible, probably over 50 different items, including a little seafood! Wonderful Caipirinhas as well!!!

Our experience here was so marvelous I have to give it a perfect rating! My family was coming to visit for Christmas, it was a total of 10 people. We wanted to enjoy our holiday without the fuss of cooking, so my husband and I decided to take everyone out. Now it's Christmas so we wanted to make it nice! This was everyone's first time here so we were very excited. Let's start from the beginning. We took the valet. The staff was so kind and friendly. The hostesses were so warm and nice. The place looks very posh and lovely. We got checked in fairly quick for not having a reservation. Our server Jonathan greeted us right away. He recommended their signature drink the caipirinha. There was a great balance of tartness and alcohol. Their salad bar was amazing! I recommend coming on an empty stomach. They had rice, beans, all choice of dressings, cheese bread, fresh mozzarella, asparagus, among other things. With the meat they bring creamy mashed potatoes and plantains. They had filet, lamb, chicken, bacon wrapped filet, among so many meats. They also had some fish options. You can even order the meats whatever temperature you want, how amazing! The gauchos were very quick and stealthy with those knives as they cut your meat in front of you. The dessert options were endless. Key lime pie, chocolate mousse, cheesecake, tres leches, chocolate molten cake! Another thing I noticed were the managers were engaging with everyone in the room. Very impressive teamwork happening there! And for it being major holiday it was nice to receive spectacular service. Worth the price!!!! Recommend for a romantic night too!

This can be considered the tipical Rodizio Brasileiro, with a salad buffet and excellent meat coming directly to your table. The place is nicely decorated and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and if you are a meat lover you will most likely eat way more than you should. I tried the caipirinhas and were excellent although I could not differenciate the regular from the premium one besides the prices. The place is one of several restaurants in the area and just in front of Austin Convention Center, which was great considering I was attending a conference there. The only minor was the price, which I found it to be a tad too expensive.

I've dined at Texas de Brazil, and was saddened to see Austin didn't have one, so I tried Fogo de Chao. I'm so glad I did, it is by far superior. It doesn't feel quite as fancy, but it's still very nice. However, the food and the service was so much better and the prices are slightly cheaper than Texas de Brazil. By far the best restaraunt I have ever stepped foot in.

I'm giving this wonderful establishment a five star review because their service was spectacular! If you love meat you will be in heaven. If you only eat fish, not to worry, you will still be impressed! If you don't eat meat the salad bar and sides are divine! Last night I wanted to treat my manager to the Fogo de Chao Austin downtown experience. I am so glad I did! She was so impressed! From the moment you step foot on the grounds you will be treated like high class. We took the valet, as always, they were fast and polite. The host staff is so kind and gracious. They greet you with a smile and make you'll feel very welcomed. The restaurant decor is so elegant and the bar lounge has a very fun and classy atmosphere it. Every time I come in the guests seem to be having a wonderful time. Our server was Jonathan and his spiel was on point. He recommended their signature drink the caipirinha. I have tried it before. It's delicious and you can taste the alcohol, which assures you that you are getting what you are paying for! My manager tried a muddled strawberry drink and she really enjoyed it. This time I tried a lovely wine Jonathan recommended to pair with red meat. A server named Andre also came to continually check up on us. He was genuinely funny and sweet. Everytime I come in I always see the managers on the floor engaging with everyone. They are refilling drinks, serving, and being so attentive. It seems they were asking every table how they were doing, which is awesome. The level of professionalism of the staff is exceptional! My manager who runs a restaurant herself was quite impressed with the staff's teamwork. When you sit they bring you baked cheese rolls which are addicting, so remember to pace yourself because the feast is yet to come. The salad bar contains fresh ingredients; just to name a few, fresh smoked salmon, mozzarella, and my favorite, the enormous Parmesan block you get to shave off yourself. The meat is perfectly cooked and the gauchos can cook whatever meat at any temperature your heart desires. How accommodating is that! The gauchos are so nice and fast too! They also bring to your table mashed potatoes which are smooth and creamy. Asparagus, fried bananas, rice, beans, different sauces...we had it all! Be sure to save room for the decadent desserts. I had the chocolate mousse. It was mouth- watering, soft, and smooth. My manager had the tres leches cake-YUM. Other choices was creme brulee, cheesecake, chocolate lava cake, key lime pie, need I say more?? I cannot wait to go back. The service is always superb. One thing I remember about this place is that the staff always tries to hold the door open for you as you exit, how perfect is that! Highly recommend for special events, anniversaries, bdays, or if you're looking for a new place to dine! Thank you Fogo de Chao Austin!

Hello What a really like about this places is the salad bar and the seafood tower , my husband love the different kind of meat specially the picanha and the lamb .

The Ladies room experience was sufficient to make the whole occasion unpleasant. I cannot tolerate unisex bathrooms. At the risk of being indelicate--- the toilet seat was wet both times I visited the Ladies room. Some men are careless when they use the facilities. I do not want to exit a restroom with " Who knows what " on my skin. Feeling like I need to shower . Ugh! There are reasons that Ladies and Mens rooms have traditionally been separate. Do a little research to learn all the reasons--You are running a business--not making a political statement Most women do not like the unisex bathroom concept. Don't blindly adopt the fad theory of the moment. It doesn't represent reality. Some restaurants have fresh flowers in the Ladies room. You have----What? You are trying to be woke--- What you have achieved---you have made the restroom experience repulsive to one half of your customers. They just don't mention it. Tasty food-- Good or bad service---All irrelevant after that nasty experience. I will not patronize any restaurant that is so woke that they subject female customers to the indignity of unisex bathrooms. It's not a very wise business move ---to offend 50% of your customers in order to make .3% comfortable. I am not the only woman who had the same repugnant experience that evening. Wake up ---Don't be woke.

This is the third time I've eaten here and I don't see any reason for me to return. I eat at Brazilian steakhouses frequently... 3-4 times a month. Yep, I'm a glutton for mass quantities of grilled meat. My favorite is Galpoa Guacho in San Antonio. Very consistent, wonderful flavor to all of their cuts, great service as well. At this Fogo and on this visit there was none of those things. I arrived at 6:00 and was seated immediately. One of the wait staff asked what I'd like to drink I said water and that I was there just for the meats. No sides, salad, bread, etc. this is how I always do things. I sat there with an empty plate and the card green side up for almost 20 minutes before a server came over with a skewer of sausage. I politely said I didn't care for any. Almost 10 minutes later I finally got some beef. For the next 20 minutes I'd get a smattering of this and that but it was lagging badly. One of the servers finally caught on and began asking me specifically what I'd like and he would bring that. The meat was somewhat bland compared to what I'm accustomed to. I finished by ordering flan and a cappuccino. After about 10 minutes they brought me the flan and informed me the cappuccino machine was down. Geez! If there are other options I would choose them and in most cities there are.

I usually get second class treatment at churrascarias because I don't eat meat. Fogo de Chao was far from my usual experience. The market (salad) bar was excellent. All fresh; all perfectly prepared and well-seasoned. There was a Chilean Sea Bass entree option with a fresh, bright mango salsa. It came out before my husband was finished with his parade of very good meat which is not my usual experience. We both left full and pleased. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Special mention for the sublime pao de queijo (cheese bread).

This is a Brazilian Churascaria. If you are not familiar with how it works, they have a table with salad items to pick from along with some different beans. Then while you sit down, you have a round coaster-like indicator with green on one side, red on the other. When you want meat, you turn it to the green side, and any of 15 different meat on a large skewer guys come over and slice meat onto your plate. They have sausage, lamb, beef, chicken, etc. The white meat chicken was a bit dry, but the drum stick was basted in cognac and beer and was super delicious. When you want them to stop coming by, you turn the coaster to the red side. The service, ambiance, and food was excellent! It is not cheap, but worth it to impress a date.

Really interesting place and eating formula. There is a central buffet where you can prepare your side dishes and then they start serving meat, continuously, whit broad variety (18 in total). As far as concern quantity and quality it was really good. Just little concern about the meat servicing. Too fast. You got the feeling to be under continuous chasing without enough time to empty your dish. On top of that, as soon as people arrived, it became very loudly.

We love the Texas de Brazil in San Antonio, but that is a long drive from Killeen, so we decided to try the Fogo de Chao in Austin. Bad experience from start to almost finish. We were seated and told they would be back in a minute to 'explain the experience'. Came back after 10 minutes and said 'help yourself'. At the salad bar about half the serving bowls were empty and after 2 trips to the soup tureen, finding it empty both times, gave up on soup. When we were ready for meat we had no plates, were told by gentleman carving meat, just use your bread plate. We finally, after asking twice, just went to salad bar and got our own plates. Did not actually like any of the meat, since whether you asked for medium. medium well, or well done, you got it rare, which I do not like and with tough edges. But it did not matter, no carvers or servers came to our table for over 15 minutes, finally my son-in-law went and got a manager. The manager was outstanding, but by that time the dinner was ruined. I tried to make excuses for the servers, stating to the manager that maybe they were just too busy, he said 'no, just lazy.' I have to agree, as I was just trying to be polite, they were not that busy. We had 5 waters and 1 tea, my husband asked for Splenda, asked actually 6 times, got the Splenda as we were finishing eating, after we asked the manager. The manager sent over 2 desserts for the father's at the table, complimentary, that were fantastic. Now for the check, it was entirely wrong. Charged for extra drink and when we told her, she said, thought someone else had brought you one. Brought back the check, again wrong, charged full meal for a child that only had salad bar and my husband had only had salad bar, but was charged for full meal. But this time, she did not come back, so we once again called over the manager and he corrected the bill for us. For as much as we paid for this 'special occasion' dinner we were completely disappointed. Will drive the extra distance to San Antonio to Brazil de Texas.

Good Brazilian style steakhouse. Service was a little slow. Salad seemed to be lacking a few items and limited side entree bar. Meats served were very good and tasty.

We rented the roof top for a customer appreciation dinner (I highly recommend the rooftop if the weather permits). He food was the same as all of the other Fogos but the meat service, unfortunately, was sub-par for our large group. They kept pushing the chicken and sausage offerings instead of the steak and lamb.

Meat was very tough and not good. Flavor was off! Maybe the quality of meat has changed? Staff was great and very attentive. The papaya and ice cream dessert was delicious! Sorry, but we will not be back.

For his birthday my husband decided to have the best of all worlds, not just one steak but many, many and so he chose this smart Brazilian restaurant. We knew what to expect and how, by turning a little disk on your table to green, (Go) you indicated you wished the roving waiters, bearing delicious foods on tall skewers, to come to you. Or leave you alone - in which case you would turn your disk to red. (Stop) To commence this meal of a meal, there was an interesting salad bar with a large variety of cold cuts, salad-type offerings and some oddities such as quail's eggs and smoked salmon. But the main focus was always the meats. Whether sirloin, rib, chicken, tiny lamb chops, giant shrimp the selection seemed almost endless. The choice on each skewer varied from very rare to well-done, and everything that was served was utterly delicious. We eventually notice a small plate of mashed potatoes that had been left on the table, hidden by wine and water glasses. The wine list was long and varied, very much dependent on your pocket or purse but there were several wines below $40 per bottle and we enjoyed a delicious Australian Shiraz. Feeling somewhat guilty that we had gorged ourselves when there was so much hunger in the world, we promised to at least make a bigger donation than usual to our favorite hunger charity.

Excellent salad bar. Cured meats (salami and prosciutto), salmon, soup, cheeses and of course, salad...all for $15. All excellent and flavorful. Service was excellent. Parking stinks. There is a valet service for $10.

This restaurant is a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. We took my mom for her 70th birthday and she just loved it! The food is excellent and the staff, even better! When they brought my mom her complimentary dessert, we joked and said, "where's the candle?" We laughed and said we were kidding. The dessert was delicious! While mom enjoyed it, the waitstaff brought out a creme brulee with "Happy Birthday" written on the plate and a lit candle! What a wonderful surprise!! The waitress even offered to take a photo so we could all be in it! The price is very reasonable for the experience and like I said, it's the wonderful staff that made this truly special.

This place could not be more delicious. Everything was perfect. Meat was savory. The rolls are addicting and the Creme Brûlée is the best I have ever had. The waitstaff is on top if your needs and you never have to ask for anything. Can’t wait to go back!

I won't duplicate others reviews about the good salad bar or bread etc. However, the expense associated with eating "quality meat" should justify the cost of the meal. With that in mind, I would rather go to a traditional steakhouse and eat a quality cut of meat than a sausage. Seriously, for as much as I am spending, severing a glorified hot dog. Some of the other meats were tough (under or over cooked). It was fun but just not worth the price. Next time I will order a prime New York strip at a traditional steak house. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Went there yesterday never been there but the salad was great. Enjoyed the meats when they came around you won't leave hungry I loved the lamb chops would highly recommend the staff were great. Just saying

Great Brazilian restaurant. Very popular and if you have a good appetite, good value for money. All you can eat salad bar and the meat keeps coming. Gouchos very knowledgeable and helpful. Great night out.

- Their allergy menu consists of a detailed matrix of every dish and possible allergy. - The food is incredible. - Service was great, though our server could have initially explained the process better. We will be coming back again and again!

We came here on a business lunch a couple of months ago. I have to say, probably the best Brazilian steakhouse style restaurant I've been to. Typical style, where you can choose from a large assortment of vegetables, cold pasta, cold cuts etc. Flip the sign over to green and a huge choice of steak, chicken, lamb, other beef cuts. They keep coming over until you're stuffed. The meat is all very tasty, well seasoned and you can choose rare, medium or well done cuts. We had lunch, but apparently the dinner menu has even more meat choices. A solid variety of drinks and friendly service rounds out a great experience. It is rather pricy, but you won't leave hungry and it's an enjoyable time out.

We visited with a group of 15 people from work, I have never been to a restaurant like before it was Awesome. The Market that you start off with is out of this world then the meat is something else, I just could not get over how great this steakhouse is. I would definitely go again all though it is a bit of a drive for me, it would have to be a special occasion. The service was out of this world and very friendly wait staff and management.

Great place for an authentic Brazilian barbecue. If you've never been to a Brazilian churrascaria, go there. It's all-you-can-eat, so make sure you are prepared. Also, make sure you try the picanha, it's the most famous Brazilian meat cut. They also make a great caipirinha (Brazilian national mixed drink).

Amazing meats and loved the lava cake! Would definitely recommend this restaurant for families. Very helpful staff.

We came here after RTX and were not dressed very well. I was little worried but felt right at home and they explained the process of the Brazilian Meat process very good. The salad bar first was very good lots of non salad items and then the meat came. They explain to you how to leave your disc to denote if you want meat or not. We had a lot, lamb, filet, sirloin, parmesan chicken, cheese and others I can't remember. And when we wanted a specific cut we just told them and they brought it! Loved this place and the meats were excellent.

We ate dinner at this restaurant which is like a barbecue grilled all you can eat meat (beef pork chicken) establishment. We were satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food we ate. Better come hungry!

I'd never been here before and friends told me if you like meat and are hungry this is the ticket. Mmmm let's check.... They have a big salad bar with a few interesting things but nothing to write home about and actually missing a few surprising things....cottage cheese has been part of every salad bar in my life since birth. But I digress...show me the meat! You get a little circle with green on one side and red on the other. Turn it to green and the meat comes like a fire hose. But....again nothing to write home about. Meat minions (I don't know what else to call them?) run around with big shish-kebabs of NY Strip, Sirloin, bacon wrapped filet, pork sausage, chicken etc etc But the meat was actually not all that good...honestly. I mean there was absolutely nothing unique about the offerings. Nothing you couldn't get from a local grocery store and overcook with no spices or anything else to make it stand out. I'm sorry but a piece of meat has to actually taste good and be good in addition to having a neat concept. And the meat delivery team (again I don't know what to call them) could tart up the offerings with something like "this is grade A sirloin hand selected from the cooler at the Sams Club on Main just last week" would sound better than "uhhhh want some beef?" If you want the meat to stop flip it back over to red. Which I did pretty quick. Oddly enough red will also probably be what you see when the bill comes. Pretty dam expensive for someone to walk a standard steak to you and carve off a slice.

Service was very good but not all the meats on their menu never made it to our table including the lamb. Meat quality was good but I have had more flavorful at other locations. Still a good experince.

Without any exaggeration, I can say that this place has the best customer service in the entire country. The staff truly goes above and beyond. Here, you will, without any doubt, feel at home. And so while we were living in Austin, we frequented this place and enjoyed it every single time. Every visit, they made sure we were welcomed and taken care of. Amazing leadership: the restaurant’s manager Salvador is very humble and down to earth. He approaches each customer to make sure they were properly attended to. Their staff is absolutely outstanding. Special mentions to Fernando, Cindy, and Oscar, who served us with exceptional care and attentiveness on each visit. As the matter of fact, our family became friends with Fernando, who, every time we dined there, personally made sure we received the best lamb steaks cooked just the way we wanted(we only eat halal). That’s how they treat each customer. The steaks here are tender, succulent, and absolutely delicious. Last but not least… before leaving Austin, we decided to visit and dine at this location one last time and just say goodbye to the awesome staff there. When we mentioned it would be our last visit they prepared a special surprise for us: extra dessert and the check with 0 balance!!! They have covered the whole bill AND treated us to a nice dessert. To say that we were delighted would be an understatement. We were utterly moved by their generous act of kindness. They turned what was a bittersweet farewell into an unforgettable celebration, going beyond the realm of excellent service into something truly extraordinary This is a testament to their unrivaled commitment to customer satisfaction, which I believe, is deeply ingrained in the fabric of this restaurant. The spirit of this place is embodied perfectly in the unwavering professionalism and warmth of their hospitality. This restaurant is not just a place to dine, but a home away from home. We left Austin, but the memories we made at this place will stay with us forever. We cannot recommend it highly enough! OBRIGADO, GUYS!

Food was good and atmosphere was unique but it was a bit of a sticker shock. $50.95 for the typical dinner for one person and a bottle of water at 6.50. Probably not a place I would go back to without winning a lottery.

My girlfriends treated me to dinner at Fogo de Chao for my birthday. It was a really nice experience. The salad bar was stocked at all times and once we moved on to the meat course the meat selections were coming out faster than I could eat. The price of $51.00 per person is very reasonable for the service rendered. I would go again in the event of another special occasion.

The Fogo. Never disappoints ! Fresh. Flavorful. Abundant. All in one place. It’s like a dream. And Certainly a great one. Beautiful friendly staff. That makes the experience even better. Helpful in every detail. All in an fantastic atmosphere. If you looking for the best Buffet table in town. Visit Fogo. Take your loved ones for any occasion. The result is always similar. You leave with a big smile ! Try the desserts. Highly recommended. Don’t forget to Check their website for times and promotions. I just love this place !

I have one rule with this place, they send me a coupon, it's time to treat myself! Coupon came, so I went! The salad bar was good, as always, and had nice fresh things to enjoy. One of the tops this time was the cheese selection. Found that I really enjoyed 3 of the 4 they had available. The fruits were in season and they had one item that I think might be new, an ancient grain and apple salad that was very good and had an interesting texture too. The soup was pea and asparagus. I tried a little of this as it struck me as an odd combination that could be scary, but it was surprisingly good and creamy (a bit too much salt for my taste but I certainly would get it again). The main attraction, the meat, was exceptional as always. My favorites this time were the garlic sirloin and the bacon wrapped beef. Both were amazingly flavorful and I truly can't decide which I liked more. The sausage was flavorful and juicy too. I topped the meal off with Creme Brule. Lovely and a perfect way to end a meal that is intended to be a decadent treat to yourself! The cheese rolls were not up to par on this visit. They came to the table barely tepid and slightly hard ... disappointing as these are usually one of my favorites. The only other issue I had was making the reservation for this lunch. I called and got someone who was apparently new. I asked for one day and she said nothing was available, so I asked for another day and was told the same thing ... this restaurant has never been that busy that there were no tables left when I was there so I thought something was definitely off. I asked about any day that week and was again told no reservations were available. I asked for the manager and got that resolved after waiting for about 10 minutes on hold. He apologized, made the reservation himself and said it was a "teaching moment". Hopefully, when I get my next reminder coupon, the person who answers won't need any teaching as this is a place that I reserve for special treats. However, this did provide one lesson ... if something starts to go haywire, just ask for the manager as he/she will be able to get things resolved without your stress level going up. All in all, another good visit to a restaurant with lovely food and openly caters to carnivores!

The food and staff were excellent. Service was on point. The food was oh so delish. Great items on salad bar, we especially enjoyed the smoked salmon and prosciutto. Nice surprise dessert at the end.

Very expensive but good, tasty meats. This is a chain, I’ve eaten in them several times and at this store twice. The meats are always delicious, you eat until you tell them to stop. The salad bar has plenty of very good options to complete your meal. However I think this is an over priced experience. Fortunately I was part of a group of 14 and didn’t foot the bill! Service was good, drinks - ok. I’m just not impressed by this type of restaurant.

We were seated on the enclosed patio, and we were definitely glad of the ceiling heaters! The salad bar is top notch, and the variety of meat offered is great. Waited a while for our bottle of wine, but it didn't take away from our evening in any way. Our server was very friendly and we had a manager come and ask if all was ok with our meal at least once. Great service overall!

I love this place. Highly recommend it to any meat lover especially as you can ask your waiters to bring you the meat of your choice. This is about the 5th different one we have visited and have never been let down. Don't bother with the salad bar just eat the meat that's what you're there for afterall.

I have never been unhappy with this place. In fact it's a regular meat lovers delight. And the salad bar is absolutely outrageous. Make sure when they bring the lamb out to grab some. It is out of this world wonderful! The staff is superbly attentive.

We ate on a Sunday at noon. I had never been there but had always wanted to. Definitely was NOT disappointed. The salad bar was the best I have seen. Everything was clean fresh full and nicely presented. The meat was all excellent. The staff was very attentive but not overbearing. We even went for dessert and coffee. The creme brûlée was wonderful and the coffee excellent. We will definitely be back for sure. I read some of the negative reviews and I don’t see how they could of had such a bad experience Definitely will be back and recommend it for sure

Fogo de Chao in Austin has a great location in donwtown Austin. If you are craving meat, this is really the place to go. The meats are great cuts, the flavor is on point and the buffet tables offer great salad options. It’s fairly priced for the amount of food you will eat. The sangría is very fruity, but delicious. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyable dining experience if you like a variety of BBQ meat. The complementary food was only average but the meat was fantastic. Service is very good in terms of how quickly the staff get around you when you’re ready for your next helping. Pricey but service and quality of meat make it good value.

We walked from the Fairmont to Fogo De Chao. It was a very short distance and worth the walk. The food was great and fresh. The service was awesome. We enjoyed it.

If you like steakhouses and especially Brazilian Steakhouses you will love Fogo de Chao. The salad bar and hot table are excellent with a great selection. They also provide the cheesy bread, fried polenta, fried plantain(banana) and mash potatos as a side dish. Then comes the array of grilled meats, ribeye, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, chicken, pork loin, spareribs, languisa sausage etc. Truly a feast. They also offer excellent cocktails - the classic is the caiprainha as well as a very good wine list and choice of wines by the glass. Wonderful Christmas meal.

I like this Brazilian restaurant more than I prefer this Brazilian restaurant over Chama Gaucha in San Antonio. The salad bar is absolutely great and was my favorite part here. Overall, great food, service and OK value.

This was my first time ever going and it was amazing. Very elegant and classy. The parmesan lamb and chicken were superb as well as the filet mignon.. can't wait to visit again

Although this was a business meal, it became a Meat Eaters haven! They were able to accommodate at me minimum 100 people who had been starved by endless rhetoric from consultants who knew best how to do the work others were doing on a daily basis. The staff were efficient, courteous, and timely in responding to every whims of each customer. It’s a great place for a large group and a wonderful place for a male romancing... you get to eat and impress!

We visited this fine establishment as a couple versus a family of 4 and I'm so glad we did. It was a fine dining experience and their house specialty offering was so tender it felt like it was melting in my mouth. The restaurant is setup with a salad bar, that has a gorgeous a tasty assortment of typical Brazilian fare, exotic cheeses, and your typical rice and black beans. There were other families with small children and I could see them struggling to offer their children food as it came out on large skewers. Definitely worth the $50 a person.

This Fogo is excellent! The food was outstanding the day we went. The food selection at their salad/cheese/beans & rice bar was incredible. The meat was delicious and cooked to perfection! We had a student with us that was competing in UIL that day and they gave him a complimentary dessert! It was really good and very kind of them to do this! Make sure and go while you’re in Austin!

This is our third time at Fogo de Chao Austin downtown It is amazing from beginning to end! My husband made reservations for my B-Day and it turned out to be one of our most romantic meals this year. If you have never been here I recommend that you go on an empty stomach. We started with the valet and as usual they were polite and fast. When you enter the door you will see the exquisite bar lounge and the hostesses kindly greet you right away. We got checked in and the feast began. Our server was Jonathan. He was polite and stealthy around the table. We ordered a caipirinha and an old fashioned. They were tasty and made perfectly. The salad bar alone is impressive. It offers smoked salmon, many dressings, fresh mozzarella, asparagus, fresh tomatoes, rice, beans, and my all time favorite, a huge block of Parmesan you can shave off yourself! They also bring creamy mashed potatoes with the meats. Among the choice of meats is chicken, filet, picanha, and lamb! You can order them any temperature you want! I know they also offer fish plates on the menu. This time a manager came and engaged conversation with us. He was so nice and attentive. He brought out our desserts with a happy B-Day decorated on the plate! I had their chocolate mousse my husband had the cheesecake. They were scrumptious! Other choices was key lime pie, chocolate molten cake, creme brulee, need I say more! This is a perfect place for romance because you sit down for so long, you plenty of time to converse with your lover!

We ate here at our daughter's insistence - she has visited several branches of this chain - and it was not a mistake. Wonderful buffet section of starters/salads/vegetables and then the meat extravaganza begins! Carved at the table, an endless selection of beef, pork, chicken and lamb of all variants. You do need to call a halt eventually!

excellent service, very good attention. A special Thanks to Mariano and Felipe, good waiters, attention at all times.

I simply love this place. The Service is 2nd to none. The managers are on the floor attending to every little detail. You can tell they take great pride in what they do at Fogo De Chow. I recommend everyone visit here

This is a great place to have a business dinner. Your guests are sure to be pleased with the many selections of meat and a huge salad bar. Fantastic place to eat!

How much meat is enough? You may find the answer here. They are serving several kinds of meat "grilled" in their traditional way. They will serve you meats until you flip the card that sais Yes please! The salads and aperitive bars are simply amazing (multiple choices that will satisfy you). I suggest to go with wine that you know, they failed me with their rcommendation, and was even a different year than menu. Many thanks to Jerry, one of the waiters that works a lot there.

Mothers Day celebration eating Brazilian. Our family has a history of eating in these places in Brazil, Paraguay and Costa Rica. The salad buffet was terrific. The meats were very good But what surprised us most was the absence of feijao, the rice and beans typical of these places. These other places offered much more items on the buffet. That was a big disappointment.

If you want to eat a lot of food, this is a place to go. There is a ton of meats and a huge salad bar with lots of selection. Fish and desserts are extra. The service is good. We went on father's day and it was packed. However, if you want a great piece of meat, go elsewhere. I haven't been to an all you can eat Brazilian restaurant in 12 years and I said I wouldn't go again but my lovely brought me there. So, we went. I always said, if I go back, I won't fill up on the lesser meats but just get a big hunk of rib eye steak. And that is what I started with. I asked the gent for a rib eye and he gave me half of one. The meat didn't taste very good. It must be a select cut at best (not choice or prime or beyond). It was hard to cut and the taste was off. Hardly close to an average tasting rib eye. I had to get some steak sause which I never eat. I then tasted an assortement of other meats. The lamb's flavor was hidden in salty spices. I couldn't taste lamb but it wasn't a New Zealand variety for sure. The house prime (not sure what it was) was a decent tasting. I decided to load up on three slices but all were covered with salty spice. It would have been better to get the outside cut off and just eat the inside meats. My wife said the pork was good, but again covered in spices. I tried top and bottom sirloin - tough and tasteless except for spices. The salad bar was okay. The green beans were raw but I thought they would be poached at least. The asparagus was bitter. Several of the other choices were good. The smoked salmon on the bar was good also. We paid extra for a key lime pie which wasn't too key, mostly a creamy type pie. The three of us dined for about $180. For some reason they gave us a free meal card. For us, we rather have a smaller amount of food, pay the same price and have an excellent piece of meat. But for those that just love to eat good veggies and a ton of meat, this is a great buffet.

I have been to Brazilian steakhouses before but this one is by far the best I've been to. The food was delicious from the salad bar to the many different meat selections. And the staff were all amazing. Very attentive and great teamwork. This is definitely worth a visit for that special occasion.

Strange restaurant (at least to me) so you go to a buffet to get your sides. The waiters come to the table with different meat and add to your dish faster than you can eat. There is this sign on your table saying if you want more or not so you have to make sure to turn to no when you are filling up, then you can turn it back to yes if you want even more. I'd go back, the meat was not great but hey, it's all you can eat.

Our family went to Fogo de Chao Steakhouse in Beverly Hills after my husband's funeral because he loved the place. Now that some of us are living in Austin, we wanted to give it a try again. We weren't disappointed. Such a variety of meats, and they kept coming. The salad bar is great too.

I've been to another Fogo before and loved it, but this was quite a bad experience. From when we stepped in to the moment we left it was horrid service. The food was good whenever we could actually get it, but we weren't even offered everything. Never refilled drinks, I had to basically trip them to get their attention. They weren't even that busy, and the guy that sat us and said he was in charge of our table we never saw again.

I love Brazilian steakhouses so I'm totally biased here, but I have been to some really let-down ones and this was very good. My favorite so far in Austin that they have had. I recommend for a business lunch you are bound to be relaxed and spoilt which is half the fun.

The smell when you walk in tells you right away you have chosen wisely. The atmosphere is cool and comfortable. Great wine and drink selections. The salad bar is the hidden gem. I don't think there is a better one anywhere. Then come the meats. They are brought to your table and hand carved and you eat until you pass out. Be sure to ask for the chimchuri sauce. It is really special. You have to have some papaya cream for desert or a cream brûlée. Expensive but worth every dollar.

Time to celebrate my birthday and we were not disappointed. We did make a reservation as we didn't know how busy it would be on a Friday night. Staff was very friendly and attentive. A very good wine list. Salad bar was awesome. All of the meats were excellent, seasoned just right and you can have as much or little as you have room for. My favorite was the filet mignon. Tender, favorable, and cooked to perfection. This was the best filet I have ever had, period. The restaurant provided a free dessert for my birthday, which we took their recommendation for the Tiramisu. Again, another excellent choice.

This place was fantastic. Went to dinner here and from the moment we walked in were treated like royalty. The waiter fully explains what you are in for and how to ask for more skewers of food. The meats were wonderfully cooked. The vegetables were flavorful and tasty. It was a truly amazing experience.

Had a great time with a couple colleagues. Two stages. First a cold salad and cheese bar then the meats. Oh the meats. Be sure to flip the card to red so you can pace yourself

Was seriously wondering why we went to a brazillian steakhouse over a traditional, but we were pleasantly surprised.

For those that have never been there is a little card on your table. You turn to green to have them bring different meats to the table. They carve the meat right there in front of you and you get to sample everything. turn the card over to red to get them to stop. the food was wonderful. What really made the Whole experience was Kaitlin, Alexandra and Cat treated us like family. They truly give a whole new meaning to hospitality. You have exceptional people working for you. We will be back next year after the next Formula One race.

Everything was excellent: the food, the service, the atmosphere. Very surprised with the friendliness of the staff and the variety of dishes.

My girlfriend and I caught a very nice dinner here for heading to Severe Weather Warning at the Long Center. The food and the service was great. If you enjoy eating meat, this is definitely a great place to go.

From the time we were greeted by Katerina, seated by Jade, and served by Kate, we felt like we were part of a very friendly family. The food was first class, with unending choices of fresh veggies, cheeses, and salad fixings to start. Then, savory meat options began to aromatically circulate through the room. A word to the wise, take small portions and sample the pork, lamb, beef, and chicken offerings. Then you can circle back for seconds on your favorites. One bonus was the relaxed atmosphere. The managers Leo and Roberto both stopped by to check on us, and assured us to take our time and enjoy! This restaurant goes to the top of our list. Simply wonderful.

If you’re a vegetarian, this is not your place. From the moment you sit down they bring you non stop meat of every kind and cut. And it’s pretty darn good. I’ve never been fuller in my life than when I left there though... it’s frightening the amount of delicious ribeye I ate. And the desserts are amazing too.

This is one of the places that I reserve for a special treat. Why? Well, where else can you find meat, meat and more meat that is superbly done and where you can also have salad and the most wonderful cheese rolls imaginable. During one visit, I discovered that my favorite, the Picanha, had a rival, the garlic beef. That was the first time I'd had that particular thing and it was amazing, tasty and so tender that it could be cut w/ the fork. This restaurant never fails to impress w/ the quality of the meats it serves. The cheese rolls are so amazing that they are the only sides I will even consider eating. They literally melt in your mouth they are so light and tasty. The salad bar is extensive and even includes fresh baked bread (can't rate it as I've never tried it ... remember those cheese rolls !!) and several varieties of cheese plus all sorts of green leafy stuff and prepared salads too (I highly recommend trying the chicken salad as it is simple but good!). The service is also really good (the only place that I have had better service and food is the Fogo in San Antonio). If you've saved room for dessert, their Creme Brulee can NOT be beaten!

It was my 3rd time to eat in a place like this...the first was in San Diego and the second was in San Antonio. I am familiar with the drill and all but was surprised to learn that I am not as young as I used to be, when it comes to eating steaks. I was not able to eat a lot of the delicious steaks as I planned to do since I got full immediately, and I just had a few smoked salmon for appetizers. This somehow upset me as I usually eat a lot of steaks when I was younger; and now I realize that though my appetite for steaks is still there, physically due to age, I cannot eat a lot of it like before. Still the venue is a good place to eat a lot of the delicious steaks and you do not need steak sauce to enjoy the meats. The chimichurri is also good with the steaks, depending on the cut of meat.

Arrived with my party of 9 for dinner as it was a local restaurant to the Fairmont Conference location. This place was heaven for those who love grilled meat. My table with the exception of myself sampled the salad bar which seemed to be very well stocked with a variety of cold cuts and and leafy greens. All seemed fresh however you do not visit a restaurant like this for salad. The meat selection was varied and tasty. From lamb, to pork to the obligatory beef and chicken samples. All of it was perfectly cooked and they had beef in both medium and rare options which is a welcome change from regular Brazilian Steakhouse's I have visited. The dessert was very well done as well. I was hesitant to order the Creme Brulee but it was cooked to perfection and you could notice the vanilla beans in the empty bowl when you are done. The most impressive thing was the service which was fast and efficient for our entire stay. Overall, this was a great experience.

Nice experience for our family as we celebrated a college graduation! Food was great, service very attentive. An entertaining experience!

So much food! We had the “experience” and it was just that. So many different types of meat along with some delicious sides. The meal also came with the food bar which was amazing. We had twelve people so service can be a challenge but the wait staff did a great job.

There is a variety of meat, salad and "feijoada" (black beans and pork meat) typical Brazilian and favorite meals in Brazil. You need to be ready for it, it would be better not eat that much before you go, it is all you can eat restaurant, so you will be disappointed if you cannot enjoy everything. You can also try "caipirinha" the Brazilian famous drink made with local liquor called cachaca.

I went for brunch last Saturday on my birthday. Not only is it cheaper, but there are a few more brunchy things on the menu. Going early the service was slower, which I appreciated. Usually, there are servers with meat every few seconds which can be overwhelming. Things seemed to be slower with time for us to relax and savor the meat. I was asked about 3 times if there was a specific cut I was waiting for. They ended up bringing some out just for me, then taking it back to the kitchen. If you sign up for the newsletter, you will get a coupon for $25 off when you go, making brunch very affordable.

We were in town for a conference and Fogo De Chao is located quite close to the convention center. We walked there after watching the bats come out from under the bridge. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and the wait staff was attentive and entertaining. I recommend you try the caipirinha drink.

This is by far one of the best Brazilian steakhouse I have ever been to! Service is by far the best and needless to say the food is GREAT! Its on the pricey side but worth every penny!

Our favorite place to celebrate pretty much anything. The food is always to die for and if you don't eat meat the salad bar is more than enough to keep everyone happy. Drinks are wonderful and save room for the desert.

Food was excellent and service was excellent, our server Jared made our experience even better. salad bar has good variety. I had key lime pie for dessert, it was best I ever had

Unbelievable salad bar, gauchos bring you 27 different varieties of meats that never seem to stop coming. Service is over the top. Like a well oiled machine this place continues to impress. Some of the nicest people in the industry work here and I’m very proud of it. My only issue is parking. But that seems to be the wave of the future here in Austin Texas. Too many people and no place to put them. So you’re forced to pay for valet parking which adds twenty bucks to your bill.

This is the second time I've been at this location (1 yr. ago) and the service is still so-so. The salada bar has very few items. It took over 20 mins to receive my key-lime pie and the the coffe was warm :-(

This is my new favorite restaurant in Austin. Every ounce of food from the explosive salads and greens to the perfectly cooked meats was wonderful. The biggest problem is that im almost too full to walk back to hotel.

As Brazilian we grew up eating “churrasco” and going to brazilian steakhouses very frequently. In the USA our choices are very limited and always that we can we try a new one. Being in Austin ee found out a Fogo de Chão (the best of the class in Brazil) and decided to have lunch there. We met Fabio and Roberto (server and manager) and had an excellent lunch. Of course, it is not even close to what we have in Brazil, but it was very good! The only disappointment was the “feijoada” and the rice. None of those were nearly close to what we know. At the end of the course, Fabio brought us the ribs and we were impressed! Simply delicious and the best rib we had in this country!

This place made me feel special. The food was very good. I did not go for the unlimited meats, just the buffet. The buffet offers more than enough to fill you up. My husband had the meats and tried everything. It was expensive, so not sure when, but we will go back.

Myself and my brother stopped off at Fogo de Chao during the F1 weekend, the food, service and drinks were spot on. The staff were really friendly and they were very alert to our card being turned, there was so much food on offer. The meat was excellent, all cooked and seasoned to perfection. I particularly enjoyed the salad bar too, it had an amazing array of side dishes and tasty food on offer. I have been to a few of these types of churrascaria over the past few years and this was by far the best one I have visited outside of Brazil. We'll be back on our next visit!

We just tried brazilian food for the first time and it was pretty good. All the food items were full of flavor and made fresh. Review by Gabriel Culiat

I like Fogo de Chao. Its quite upscale unfortunately so I don't go often, but as in most Brazilian Steakhouse, you can eat yourself into a tizzy! We had the $15.00 Salad bar and it was very good. Add a protine for a little more and they will keep the side dishes coming. We had a pool of servers who all did well and its a nice atmosphere.

Started in the bar area and the Service was excellent, and then it continued throughout the meal, reasonable wine list and very good meats, the salad bar was great and we started, and ended, the meal with salad.

You can never go wrong with Fogo De Chao! This is my second time, first was San Antonio and definitely the place is worth remembering! Churascaria at its best!

We had a wonderful dinner at Fogo in Austin and we will definitely be visiting again. Fernando and Brandon took especially good care of us. We were so impressed with the service and our how attentive the entire staff was to us. They asked us our favorite cuts of meat when we sat down and kept bringing them without having to ask. This especially pleased my lamb preferring boyfriend because his favorites kept coming around. Thank you again to Fernando and Brandon for making out night so special!

Restaurant with a very good service, Roberto the manager and the waiters made all efforts to provide us a nice experience . Meat cuts in order, Ribs are special , good options in the salads offers , everything conspires for a good meal .
Bring an Empty Stomach
Food and service was amazing! Be sure to flip your coaster to red when you are full, because the food will keep coming until you do.
