Delicious food

By Larissaandkids |

Took kids to try brasilian food in this restaurant. It was very delicious and tasty. Very well done on location, welcoming everyone and were ok with my baby, who was very loud. Only one minuse, it is very expensive and they charge kids almost same than adults, doesn't matter that kind are eating much less.

Great food, but it hurts the wallet

By Darin G |

If you're not familiar with this chain, it's a Brazilian style BBQ that will continuously bring you BBQ'd meat directly to your table until you out up the stop sign. To start the hostess and server were very nice and seated me right away. I was told I could start at the salad bar and then when ready, turn over the stop sign to "go" and they would begin bringing food to my table. I started with a small Caesar salad and asparagus, which were both very tasty. I triggered the meat parade and was not disappointed. Filet mignon, top & bottom sirloin, lamb chops, bacon wrapped chicken and so many more options. I definitely ate like a Medieval King. Then reality kicked in when the bill arrived. For the dinner and one cocktail, plus 18% gratuity, the total was $95. Remember, it was just for a single diner. While I'm not 100% sure, I overheard the table close to me ask about their children, and I believe they said the children meals would be free. To summarize, great service, excellent food but spendy. If you're on a budget, start saving.

Salad bar

I love the salad bar! Such a great value! All you can eat includes delicious bacon and smoked salmon.

Fogo de Chao Los Angeles

By D_v_D_USA |

What a terrible Experience on Sunday June 26th 2016 in Los Angeles Downtown. I have visited Fogo from Miami to New York, from Atlanta to San Diego, and many others, but this visit was extremely bad. Initially I had a reservation at 9:00 but I changed it to 8:30 pm to enjoy a longer time since last seating was 9:00 pm. I ordered a bottle of sparkling water but the server forgot to bring and I have to remember another server because the original server took a while to come back. Going for drinks order, I asked for a premium caipirinha, which the quality was really bad, there wasn't enough limes, just the taste of cachaca, then I told the server and she brought another one with the glass full of lime, completely out of standard with what I am used to get at FOGO, but I let it go. We were sat at 8:25 pm and went to the salad bar 8:40 pm, for my surprise 8:50pm the salad bar lady came to the table and said for us to visit it again if we wish because she would break it down. Coming the meat service, I have to request for beef ribs, ribeye, file mignon and lam chopps. Ribeye and lamb chopps were done immediately, file mignon was the end of skewer and completely well done. During the dinner all the noise of the employees breaking down the salad bar completely ruined our dinner. It was around 9:30 the biggest surprise, we were eating desert and the music was turned off and the dinning room lighted up, there were still another 2 tables in the dinning room Bottom line we left 9:50 pm, exactly one hour and 20 minutes after seating, we were leaving completely unhappy with this experience

Brazilian BBQ over the top

By Franco G |

I've been here many times as this is one my favorite steakhouse in L.A. The question could be why this restaurant is above the average ? Simply because what they provide is high quality service coordinated by an effective team of meatcutters and super meat of any kind Make your reservation, get there and enjoy it as long as you decide to turn the red dot on !

Very goid

By Simone |

The salad bar didn't have the quality of choices that we experienced at the Beverly Hills location. However, it was tasty. Loved the soup. Meats were well seasoned, most delicious. Great server.

You're fault if you leave hungry

By Tina1962_12 |

Really good food. If you've never tried a Brazilian steak house ...it's a must ....and Fogo de Chao is a good first time experience ...and a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th experience

Average Churasscaria

By Trojan4Life |

Let me start by saying that I've tried many Brazilian steakhouses in my time. (Espetus in the Bay Area, Texas de Brazil in Miami and Churasscaria Palace in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! I have to say that Fogo de Chao ranks 4th among those places with the one in Brazil of course being #1! Steak/meats were not too salty but just lacked a lot of flavor. The buffet bar had mininmal sides compared to other Brazilian steakhouse places. The service was fine but nothing exceptional. We reserved on OpenTable the same day and they were able to fit us in on a Saturday night. It's about a 10 minute walk to LA Live. I wish I could say more about the experience other than the bill came out to be $140 for the 3 of us (son was 10 yrs old and was free) which included 3 sodas.

Some great sides and buffet dishes but too much tough cuts of meat

By Foosh9 |

First of all, it's logical to park in the building the restaurant is located in. They don't validate for their own building, just lots across the street. $18. to park for a $100. one hour lunch. Not a good finish to a meal for sure. The food was good. The buffet bar had a lot of very nice selections of fruit, vegetables, meats, cheeses, salads, etc. I would have been very happy with that alone. Reasonably priced for the quality and variety offered. I thought is was above average. The warm sides and cheese buns were also all terrific. Now the meat- a few very tasty cuts- filet mignon, pork sausage, pork chop, bacon wrapped chicken, roast lamb. A lot of very tough cuts of meat- top sirloin, bottom sirloin, bacon wrapped steak (very tough & full of gristle), NY Steak, etc. Not impressed. One of the aforementioned cuts and the buffet bar would make a very nice meal. All the meat upon meat is just over the top (and I'm a meat lover bar none). Service was terrific and the space is very nice. Still miffed about the parking- no excuse for any high end restaurant in an office building to assume you're going to park across a 4 lane busy street. $18./hr may be the going rate in downtown LA but it left a bad taste in my mouth for the entire experience.

Great steaks, slimmer wallet

By johnpaul17 |

This is a great restaurant to visit before a concert or musical/play in downtown Los Angeles. The ambience is wonderful, and the servers are pleasant and attentive. The salad bar has enough choices for the entire dinner; but it's worth having the steaks as well as long as you have a thick enough wallet.

Just okay version of National Chain.

By Huntingtongalpal |

Just okay version of National Chain. Staff was professional and friendly but got the feeling it was geared to tourists rather than a special dining experience. Salad bar was moderately fresh but not terribly varied. Filet offering was excellent but some meats were tough and not warm. Waiters ignored serving coins making for a rushed experience. Wine list was overpriced for this type of restaurant. Furnishings seemed tired.

One of the best Brazilian steakhouse I have ever been. The meat was delicious and it just kept on coming til I said stopped. The caprinha was very good and the manager was so kind that we got pay for 1 and get 2. Very nice staff and manager polite. Higley recommend if your in LA or downtown la.

Good not great

By Weit L |

The service is wonderful at this restaurant when you are seen by the servers. They are courteous and very accommodating. Sadly, one must wait a long time for the meat to get around. Chicken arrived immediately as did sausage but steak we had to request and several times before we got a few thin slices. It was delicious though. The salad bar does not compare to churrasqueria plataforma in NYC but LA is not NYC so I guess I shouldn't have compared. Overall, it was a fine meal but by no means outstanding. One final word--dont order 3 leches cake for dessert. Ugh. They shouldn't be allowed to serve it.

Amazing food

By Tanja1602 |

This restaurant is definitely worth visiting. We were there for a dinner and we took full Churrasco Experience. If you are meat lover this is the place. This was literally explosion of taste. The Market table, the meat...guys was serving to us every time when we turn drink coaster on the green side. It was delicious and it was a lot. Huh, almost forgot there is also warm cheese bread...it's so yummy you can't stop eating it :) The stuff is great and willing to explain every single details of this gastronomic experience. I would definitely recommend this place.

So much meat!

By Soychiquis |

Great food and friendly service. The restaurant has a salad bar and servers come around and offer a variety of meats prepared differently. Very delicious food so you should be prepared to eat a lot if you want your money's worth. It's good to go with someone who knows how things work there but if not, the nice servers are there to explain it all. Definitely a place to go to on an empty stomach! Not sure it's a place I would take little kids to but a good place for a special family occasion. Reservations are recommended because it was very busy and popular.

Again, great Brazilian Rodizio

By ThomasEMM |

Took the family here (we are half Brazilian, so they are critical) as we were eager to have some Brazilian Rodizio. Was here with the wife last year, and really enjoyed it, this time with the complete family it was a homerun again. Paid parking across from the restaurant, I do not remember exactly but I think I also saw a valet stand.

Gotta Love the Meat

By pebrubak |

Great Market Bar, (salad bar), lots of choices, very tasty. The meats are delivered and carved at your table. Chicken, several cuts of beef, mutton, pork. Attentive service. Somewhat crowded when getting to the Market Bar. A great place for a special dinner. It is pricey, but they earned it.

Great family lunch experience

By ericspalm |

We went there for a weekday luch with the kids, the food was excellent, service was great. An amazing value for a half price brazilian lunch

Great place

By MTYNL79 |

We all enjoyed the meat selection and salad bar. Best was lamb, chicken salad and parmesan cheese. Waiters were kind and helpful. Somehow expensive compared to other places; for us it was about $80 USD per person, just something to keep in mind.

Brazilian good food

By RaRe12345 |

Really good food. Tastes good, high quality ingredients, service was amazing. All you can eat and good ambience. !! I will go there again!

Lots of meat

By anne255120 |

This is our second visit to Fogo, once in New Orleans I think and then this one in LA. As usual the meat was brilliant and well cooked to your liking. Staff were wonderful Meat is pretty expensive. We had two glasses of wine and five meals and bill came to around $400usd So not a cheap night out

Loved it

By AlisonCoxTA |

Great choice of meats and sides - left the restaurant happy and full 😊 Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you - even got a free desert as it was our first time there and indeed LA

The waiting for meat is not worth the value.

By Raymond J |

I never felt so invisible by the gauchos as the steaks kept pass us by but the they kept offering us chicken, really! Maybe because I only ordered water is why they constantly kept bringing chicken. Sorry, fluids interfere with the taste of the meat but after we finally got some meat, it was dry. Guess I should have had wine to wash it down. Eventually, I got tired of waiting and had to find the hostess to get some service from the gauchos. I have been to other Fogo De Chao establishments and found that the gauchos have a certain zeal and zest in their presentations. The one upside was the manager, she came by and said hello and introduced herself, but beyond that, I think I'll pass by this location. The best part of this location is the bar during lunch, it was a smaller staff, which allowed them to be more focused on great customer service.

For the meat lovers

By Subhrendu Malakar |

Dined on a Sunday afternoon and was very satisfied with the service and quality of the food. Good choice of wines. A definite for a meat lover.

Absolutely delicious!

By Amanda S |

Enjoyed 2 nights having dinner at the Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse when we were staying and L A and both nights were amazing. The salad bars were exceptional with lovely fresh ingredients and the way the protein was served was exceptional. The waiters came around to each table with huge skewers on which was beef, lamb, chicken or pork, all done different ways and different cuts of meat and you chose which ones you wanted. Obviously you can only eat so much but you could have as much as you liked for as long as you liked. A really lovely way to enjoy a selection of beautifully cooked meat and salads.

Top notch!!!

By Jan-Daniel S |

WOW! This place is spectacular. I had the pleasure to eat at this restaurant this week. It was my first time at a Fogo de Chao, and I must say everything was perfect. I cant complain about one single thing. The salad bar is perfect if you want to get a small appetizer, before you indulge in the wide selection of meats. I tried the lamp chops, pork ribs, beef ribs, picanha, filet mignon and rib eye. I cant even tell you which one was my favorite because every single piece of meat I ate was mouthwatering. Not to forget the garlic mashed potatoes, one of the best mashed potatoes I have ever had in my life. At one point I was so full, but I couldnt stop eating because it was so delicious. $60 for all you can eat top notch meat, its a steal! I am definetely going to come back here, also because our server Kristine was nothing short of amazing. 6 stars!!!!!

Such a yummy experience

By MaricorDG |

Fogo de Chao served excellent Brazilian steak. Their buffet is really expensive but you are assured that you can have the best steak in town. It is not the usual buffet where you have to always stand up to get your choices. You will start with their appetizers by going to their buffet tables & choose for yourself. After the appetizers, the waiters will frequently go to your tables & offer variety of steak that they carry & they will slice it for you while you're enjoying sitting down & savor the delicious food already in your plates. The meat is so tender and they have a number of different meat you can choose, all of them, I should say are so yummy. They also served excellent desserts after. Bonus is their in-house chocolates where you can even bring home if you like those, it's all for free at the entrance of the restaurant.

Very loud

By violaplay |

Went to Fogo de Chao with my extended family. The guests at the restaurant were very loud and it was hard for us to talk. Have been to several Brazilian restaurants and the buffet was just okay. The food that was passed was good as was the service. The tables are just too close together.

Group Dinner

By MarwanBukhary |

We were a group of 17 we enjoyed the experience, the valet parking is $8, i think they should give it for free for those who dine and pay more than $800 !! Anyhow the food is great, and the salad bar is amazing

Not all perfect, but worth a try!

By neborr357 |

Spent birthday here with the family. Been to a few Brazilian before. Majority of meat served are quality! One or two a little bit salty for my taste. Salad bar is good with wide selection. Service is fast, attended by two or three staff. Everyone had their share of meat. A bit pricey, so watch your extras.

Awesome

By Gibbers |

Perhaps a little steep on price but the experience was excellent and deserves 5 stars. Service was impeccable and meat selection/ portion size great I will certainly return

An Enjoyable Splurge

By Steve W |

The Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse in downtown Los Angeles is exquisite. We were fortunate enough to have a group that was eating early enough to beat the busy rush. For the uninitiated (Like me) there is a bit of sticker shock but they do offer lower priced alternatives to the full meat tasting experience. Brazilian gauchos visit your table with regularity carrying skewers filled with a myriad of meats - mostly beef - many of which have seasoned or prepared with additional flavors and additions such as bacon wrapped pork. The experience is like wine tasting for meat. You try samples of several types of meat and then you can request a larger portion of something or some things that positively strike your palette. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful from the reception host to the server to the gauchos who presented the meat at the table. They worked hard to insure that our experience was a dining delight.

Great place

By Cricket R |

Great food at reasonable price. Staff extremely friendly that keeps providing all attention needed. Fun to say that I've been there twice, but never went to the one at Rio de Janeiro, my hometown. I would suggest for those who doesn't know the cut to go there and try a medium rare Picanha. It's a juicy flavory cut. Add salt if you wish, rub it in some Farofa and you will ask for one more stomach in order to have more and more Picanha! Definitely recommended. 5 stars for sure.

All you can eat meat fest for $37 at Lunch

By tfizzle |

Came here for graduation lunch with our son and his friends and was impressed. Can you say meat sweats. Chicken, beef, pork, and lamb of various cuts and preparations preceded by an delicious ala carte vegetable and salad bar. If you are really hungry this is a great place for you, if not stay away. Ironically the price for a small piece of fish was $42 per person with no refills. The meats are grilled and served on a skewer. The best cut was the grilled bottom steak with salt crust. Yum. there is no dessert and their shouldn't be. You have a red (no more) or green (more meat) card that you display to signal the servers to keep it coming or to bypass you. A great deal at lunch. More expensive at dinner.

A delightful surprise!!!

By Cafegirl1 |

I am not an avid meat eater but am not a vegetarian either so I put off going to FDC even though we had a gift card. We went for lunch and when I saw the salad bar, it was love at first sight. The range of options are ubiquitous, truly. Grilled veggies, quail eggs, assortment of cheese, sliced salmon, chicken salad, dried meats, cold salads, and much much more. Plus mini popovers, mashed potatoes, grilled polenta sticks plus fried plantains were brought to the table. And all for $15 on the luncheon menu. Meat is available for an additional cost but that will be for another day. The wait staff Mitchell was so gracious and attentive, we have not rec'd that first class service in restaurants that are twice the price. It was a true dinning experience. Go solo or take someone who really likes fine cuisine w/o breaking your budget. I can hardly wait to go back!!!

Big fan

By Alex H |

Growing up in SP, Fogo was one of my favorite places to go, particularly the branch in Santo Amaro. As they grew the brand in the States, I've visited many locations (Beverly Hills, Chicago, Vegas, etc) over the years and was very excited when they opened near work a few years ago. Been here many times for lunch and it never disappoints. Sometimes I'll do just the salad bar and that is also a great option. Come hungry!

This was an incredible dining experience.

By race24x |

If you don't know about Brazilian BBQ, they bring the meat to you. They had an excellent salad bar and sides but I couldn't believe all of the different entrees that I got to try. Chicken, Beef, Lamb and Pork. You get to choose and how much.

Nice business lunch

By millionsstars |

Food was super, with a lot selections at the salad bar. It was quite pricey for lunch. However the meat was very tasty. The servers were very attentive too. The restaurant is not too noisy or crowded during lunch so it is good for business meeting.

Carnivore paradise!!!

By MarshallandLisa D |

Service was fantastic. Dinner was excellent. Drinks were perfectly paired with the meal. A little pricey but well worth it.

A meatlovers' paradise!

By jeresaa |

Excellent suprise! Love the concept! You better skip lunch to fully enjoy The dinner here. Will definitely come again!

Great Restaurant

By Lisandro B |

The meat here is unbelievable. The best part is you don't have to order and enjoy just one cut. The servers come to your table with different types of cuts every few minutes.

Bring your patience to dinner

By aztkdiva |

For months we had friends raving about this place & recommending we dine here. Finally on 6/10/16, my fiancé and I decided to pay this place a visit. We had 7:00pm dinner reservations, but arrived about 30 minutes early. The house was full, but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. The Full Churrasco Experience is priced at approximately $59 per person, and includes unlimited access to the Market Table & Feijoda Bar. Additionally, the staff will bring a complimentary basket of cheese bread, fried polenta, plantains, and mash potatoes. You can also ask for seconds if you want. Upon arrival you will find a double sided wooden disk on your table, which you flip to the green side when you want a cut of meat and you flip it over to the red side when you're done or when you need a break from the meats. There is a great variety of meats to choose from and all the meats are very well seasoned. I appreciated that one of the servers asked me how I liked my meat and when I said well done, he proceeded to serve me from the outer layer because it's cooked more than the center. Personally, I enjoyed the Market Table because there is a variety of starters and side items to choose from. The bread, the plantains, and the fried polenta were also very good. The mash potatoes, on the other hand, we’re too watery and bland, for my taste. We were serviced primarily by Gary who routinely check in on us and cleared our tables immediately. Occasionally we were serviced by Jimena and Stephanie. All were very friendly, professional, and attentive. Soon after being seated I ordered a Superfruit Lemonade, but this arrived nearing the end of our meal. However, as I stated before, when we arrived the house was full and all the servers were running around tending to customers, not once did I witness any of them idle. I later learned that, Stephanie, the young lady that took my drink order and who also brought me my drink is in fact the night manager. At the end of our meal we ordered a Creme Brûlée and again this too took a lot longer than normal to arrive. Although most people would have been fuming at such delays and normally, I too would express discontent, in this case, we couldn't because WE witnessed how hard all the staff were working. My partner and I both understand that one can only do what is humanly possible. Plus, the staff was very apologetic for the delays. When our check arrived, this was brought to us by Stephanie who again apologized for the night's delays, and informed us that as a result of the delays with my drink and our dessert, these two items were on the house. (As a side note, I must express that Stephanie is a rare breed. I personally think this young lady deserves a raise and/or promotion. Why? Because we live in an era that has forgotten the meaning of quality customer service. Most places nowadays, from high end to fast food establishments provide horrible customer service, will not apologize for delays or bad service, and will still expect good tips and a bill paid in full, regardless of the poor quality service and/or food.) In summary, if you are a big meat eater and have a hearty appetite, the price of the entire meal is well worth it. If you think the price is too high, you can sign up to get their emails and they do send dinner coupons valued at appriximately $25 off. If you're a light eater, pay less and just stick to the Market Table & Feijoda Bar. Overall, regardless of the minor hiccups, I would definitely return and do recommend this place, not only for the food, but because of the professionalism and customer service, alone. Do make reservations and bring your patience, as it is quite a popular spot.

Classic Place for meat, great salad bar too

By Ken A |

Very pleasant place if your interest is meat, every cut, done many ways. Just as long as you know when to quit so you don't stuff yourself silly. The caipirinhas were excellent. And the salad bar top notch. Mind you, it's fairly expensive, so I would recommend being really hungry when you arrive. The service was excellent too.

It might suit the suits with expense accounts...

By niftyatfifty |

We dined here on a Sunday evening after having a pre dinner drink at nearby Spire 73. Poor value for pretty average food and one waitress spoitl it all as she virtually threw the plates down on the table (not just ours) and scowled at the customers... they were busy with a pretty full restaurant. The Churrasco concept to this place is OK but more attentive gauchos serving the assorted meats would have been welcomed and we constantly had to ask for more. Meat was good and salad buffet had some weird items on display. Overall have had better and for the price of $49 per head was really poor value for what we got. Had a better meal at the food court at the shopping centre across the road than we did here.

Eat as much you like

By Zehra A |

Beef, chicken or pork. .. Eat as much you can. They serve you as long as you wish. I went there with friends they liked the meet so much . Its ironic but I am a vegeterian and I enjoyed the rich salad desk.

SIMPLY GREAT FOOD !

By swills9 |

What can I say, I will keep it simple, OK a bit expensive, but Oh boy what delicious food, simply mouth watering, the staff are so friendly too, easy to get to by car or Metro

consistently delivers

By JimmyShu-lin |

food offering is abundant and the meat cuts passed around are well seasoned. Picanha is of course the best! Don't stuff yourself on the oh-so-yummy cheese puffs in the beginning!

When the bacon can be served as an appetizer or dessert....

By GiaPazita |

When the bacon can be served as an appetizer or dessert, you know it's gotta be good. Service was wonderful. Food was outstanding. I recommend trying SMALL amounts of everything, otherwise you'll end up with a plate a food that you can't finish.

Great food!

By Rob B |

Hard place to get with traffic if your going into LA so give yourself extra time, service is outstanding and very friendly. Food is really good and it's endless! Don't see what you want from the list just ask and they send it over!

Could have been better

By Joel T |

Recently went to Fogo de chao, and for the alleged premier Brazilian steak house in Los Angeles i was actually dissapointed. The service was outstanding but the food quality was not that great. I was expecting prime cuts of meat which i didnt feel i got. A lot of the meat lacked flavor and had a weird inconsistant texture. The filet mignon had probably the most akward almost squishy texture and didnt taste like a filet. The garlic sirloin didnt have a lot of flavor and waa chewy. To be honest most meats we had just tasted off. However the cowboy ribeye, lamb chops and picanna where outstanding. I also wasnt impressed with the size and variety of the salad bar. It lacked options and opposed to other Brazilian restaurants. The drinks where also dissapointing. We got 2 caprianhs (brazilan special drinks). We got one mango and one strawberry, both tasted like pure alcohol and didnt have a lot of flavor. Again the service was amazing, but the food wasnt the best. I probably would not go back to be honest. I think ive been spoiled with Texas De Brazil in Irvine to many times which is far superior to Fogo.

Interesting dinner

What a cool place. We just walked into this place after making a reservation on Open Table. It was awesome. Expensive and very filling yet awesome!!! Go here.

Excellent Quality and Fine Service

By Bob M |

First time visit while on a business trip. The atmosphere was very welcoming and comfortable. Food quality and variety was superior. Service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. We all had the full meat experience which is a bit pricey at $59 per person, but the quality and variety of superior meat cuts justify it. Sides are included as is an excellent diverse salad bar. The deserts were also outstanding (assuming that you still have room).

Great Buffet

By NoSnakesPlease |

Can't beat the fresh and delicious offerings at this casual Brazilian eatery. Fogo de Chao has two options--the Buffet with or without meat. Stuffed from previous meals, we chose without and the wandering servers with skewered meats passed us by. Nevertheless, we left full of the wonderful salad, bread, cheese, cold cut and fresh fruit offerings, mine accompanied by a fabulous Argentine wine by the glass. Great food at a moderate price. I'll be visiting Fogo de Chao again and again.

Dinner

It was a Nice and New type of dinner, Fun experience! We wish though that the waitress in the begining could give us more information how it worked with the buffe. Food was good and fresh!!

Excellent food, elegant atmosphere

By David K |

I stopped in for dinner - but in retrospect, should have saved it for a day when I had missed lunch. So much food! All you can eat salad bar and, of course, the never-ending stream of skewered meat. I'm not a lamb eater but tried the lamb - fantastic! Excellent place - but a steep price.

If you like Brazilian food this is the place to go

By Steve K |

This was my first visit to Fogo and it was good. Outside of the wait on Sunday evening to get seated the food was excellent. If you haven't been they bring skewers of beef, pork, chicken, lamb to your table and cut pieces you request then place on your plate. All we tried were very good. You begin with the salad bar that has quite a few items to choose from then they start bringing the main portions to your table. All in all I left full and feeling it was good. Two reasons I didn't rate it higher: 1) we were told 30 minute wait and that isn't the issue. No one was waiting about 40 minutes later and I went to ask why we were still waiting then we were told the person forgot to call us. Not good. 2) price was about $60 per person so if you are going on a budget this may not be the place to eat.

Pleasant

By Jamie E |

I have ate at this chain in a few other cities. The food as always is incredible however the service was a bit disappointing this go around. I expect when I go to a place like this the attentiveness of my needs should be, well... More focused. Other then that it was great as always.

I've Had Better

By Kristine B |

I must say, for a presumably quality dining establishment, some standards were diner level. It began before we even got inside, when it took us 30 minutes, a stop-and-ask and a phone call to find the valet parking, since there were no signs in front of the restaurant. The decor inside is nice and while we waited for the rest of our party, the bartender was aware enough to ask us if we wanted anything to drink. But he seems to have been the only one who had any level of service ability. Once we were served our various meats, not once during the 2 hours we were there did any other waitstaff ask any of my party if we wanted anything else - not a drink refill, not a water top-up, nothing. Their fruits were nothing to write home about either - the papaya was overripe and the pineapple was sliced but unpeeled so we had to wrestle with cutting it away from the skin in order to eat it. Also, their tea service was missing a very basic tea offering - peppermint! How do you have a tea service and no peppermint? And finally, at the end of the meal, they brought us dessert and dessert forks but no clean dessert plates. So I absolutely would not return to this restaurant because the food is OK (not great, just OK) and the service leaves a lot to be desired.

Thank you, Eric!

By Tiffany W |

y wife and I have dined at Fogo de Chao six or seven times now, but tonight was our best visit by far thanks to our server, Eric. He was friendly and attentive, and saved the day by bringing us a plate of the candied bacon, which is my wife's favorite market table item. The entire meal was DELICIOUS, but Eric was the star for us tonight. Thank you, Eric!! We will be back!

Great experience again!!

By Trojan29 |

Our second time coming here first time in Miami. This trip was better than our first. They came around with the different types of meat like usual, but then asked us what we would like and brought out specifically what we asked for. If you like meat this is a must go to.

Excellent Churrascaria

By AliciaMagdalena |

The buffet has a wide variety of greens, and we tried all the variety of meats and they were delicious, the picanha was extremely good. Need to be careful not to fill up you plate with a lot of food and to try small bites of everything so you don't get full right away. Staff is really nice and service is really fast. The restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, but totally worth it!

Brazilian Dinner

The service and food was good. The atmosphere was upscale and the restrooms were immaculate. We were there for our anniversary. This strawberry cheesecake was a nice surprise on the house. Thank you!

Middle of sirloin - special of the house is a must-try

By Dina K |

The hostess was helpful, founding a better table by the window. The staff was attentive, sometimes even too much - I was asked 4 times if I d like to see the wine list. Some of the meat was overcooked, but after we pointed out, the chef prepared the fillet specially for us and did a very good job on that. Overall positive experience, however other locations of the chain you may found cozier.

If the picanha was a bit better...

Since we have lived in Brazil for 5 years the whole family cant resist a visit to a Churascaria anywhere we can find one. So walking back from the Staples Center to our hotel we bumped into this restaurant. We booked for the next day and visited at 8 pm. we were a party of 6. We did know the ritual so we went straight to business...Caipiroska, just a few greens from the buffet and we let the meat come! By the way the buffet was very good , with all items one can find in the same type restaurant in Brazil. Tried all kind of meats - missed the chicken hearts that are illegal to serve in the US- and with the exception of the picanha that is the flagship of meats all tasted excellent. The picanha was not what 'we' in the south of Brazil are used to. Minor issue but would make the experience excellent! The friendly waiters -most coming from the south of Brazil- were a pleasure to talk to and to being served in Portuguese made the experience even better. 5 caipiras, full churasco for 6, and a few desserts -including tip-were around 580 Usd...not cheap but at least in the case of churasco its up to you to make use of every cent you pay since its all you can eat concept. Very nice experience...will be back and recommend this chain.

Very good food and service

Although a chain, the food makes it worth a visit. The vegie 'bar' is a great start. The meats brought to the table, fresh off the grill, were all good. This is the type of place where you wish you could eat more... because the food never stops. The quality of the food and the service are worth visiting again and again.

A Basic Brazilian Steak House.

Nothing special here. Meats served on skewers, a decent wine list. The meats were tasty enough but nothing special, certainly nothing that would warrant my recommending this place. Overpriced in my opinion for what you get and the atmosphere, which is quite dull.

Great for special occations

On a whim took my son to Fogo de Chao during a college homecoming weekend. The place is great for treating students that are tired of college meal plan food. While I wouldn't stuff myself with meat every day the way I did this weekend the quality of the food, the attention from the servers and the variety of the offereings made for a great treat. The sides of popvers, polenta and plantains allow you to space out your "meat-fest" and paired with regional cocktails or a glass of wine this was a fantastic treat. When you consider the price of a steak dinner in most high end restaurants and the all you can eat with meat variety at Fogo this is a great value for the price.

Best steak!

I love this place in Los Angeles Downtown! Steaks are amazing, service and ambiance. Was there many times and will come back again and again.

The Best Brazilian Steakhouse

First let me say AMAZING FOOD, this is our second visit at Fogo de Chao, first it was at Beverly Hills, DTLA Fogo did not disappoint, all the meat are as usual, GREAT...tender , fresh, , delicious and so on..The service was excellent, all the staff are very attentive and accommodating, we booked our Anniversary Dinner and my wife and son was very happy, I am very pleased with everything, not to mention the location, parking across the street is very convenient, we would definitely comeback with our friends soon...

small scale forgo, terrible service

By Randy G |

i am a fan of Fogo and probably have eaten at almost every location. I WAS SURPRISED at how small the downtown LA location was but the salad bar though smaller in size had all the same offerings and the meat was tasty although a little thin in the offering. The problem was although there was a tons of staff around no one came to the table to serve. No atempt to add the extra touches like clean plates, offer sauces, refresh the bread and sides which comes naturally at all the other branches. No manager in sight, everyone avoiding eye contact. Seemed like a contest to see who could do the least amount of work. When you flagged someone down they all had surly remarks. Very strange. Food good management and service horrendous. Attitude adjustment needed.

Empressive

We were celebrating two birthdays and a life success. The food and service were outstanding. The wine selection is above reproach. The combination of the celebration of life events and the outstanding food will leave us with fond memories of this day.

Delicious food great service

If you like to eat all sorts of meats this is the place . the salad bar is great lots of choices including a variety of cheeses . But the meats are cooked to perfection from filet mignon to sirloin , and also lamb chops ,lamb shank . There service staff so friendly and the atmosphere and the Brazilian experience is awesome.

Great service, great Brazillian BBQ

By ThomasEMM |

The concept is the same as all the Brazillian Rodizio BBQ restaurants, what makes this one outstanding are 2 things: 1) the service 2) the quality of the meat. Service was great, all the staff work as a team (apparently they pool/share the tips, really works as everybody is concerned in making you happy). What really made our day is that somehow they found out the next day was my birthday and because of that our server Eduardo (great guy) brought 2 classic Brasillian desserts complimentary (pudding de leite and creme de papaya). What a great place!

Dinner for two

We went there for dinner for our first night in LA after a long flight. My wife isn't a fan of steaks however she really enjoyed the place because of the salad bar and the variety of different steaks. If your looking for a quick quality meal then this will be the best place to go to. Its becoming an international restaurant and can be found in a lot of States and Countries. best creme brulee highly recommended
