My wife and I were in Philly on vacation and I wanted to take her some place special for our last night in town. I took her to the Brazilian Steakhouse because we had really liked the one in Orlando, FL. Our meal was superb, I especially enjoyed the beef cuts. The service was good and we really enjoyed our evening. I was a little surprised that they did not offer any local beers and had nothing on draught when I asked for a craft beer. Oh well had to drink wine instead.

Many time visitor across many locations (including Brazil). Service was good but not perfect - it was restaurant week and unusual number of tables were filled. Definitely recommend reservations at any time. Food was excellent, well done meat available on request. Very pricey, but you should expect that from upscale like this.

I took my team here for dinner last night and had a simply exceptional meal coupled by great service. Cuts of meat were impeccably prepared and were simply delicious. Staff was great and had the pleasure of meeting Mauri and Arcene who make it all happen. Bet you didn't know that the Gaucho's who served the various cuts are the ones that butcher and cook their respective cuts. Whole new level of respect. Tremendous experience.. Thanks to the whole team.

Great ambient and great food. Waitress Unice was very knowledgeable and great personality. She provide information about the cuts of meat and suggests drinks.

5 out of 5. We’ve gone a couple of Saturdays right when they open and it’s been good. Great meats of course but also great mini waffles and omelets at the salad bar on weekends. Would highly recommend! Plus kids eat free for brunch.

I traveled from Canada and brought my family to your highly acclaimed restaurant for a celebratory dinner for my daughter's graduation. We chose the Churrasco experience in order to enjoy a large variety of your signature meats despite the fact that we were served a few different types of meats and not nearly as many as the 13 different types advertised by your restaurant. We never saw the filet mignon, lamb or the other more expensive meats. The waiter informed us there would be over 13 types of different meats served and also confirmed there would be seafood as well as the Feijoada bar. At no point was there ever any mention of additional costs. During dinner a waiter brought over a cup of shrimp cocktails and asked if we'd like to have one. This was offered without ever informing us that additional charges would be applied. The most deceiving part of the dinner occurred when we received our total bill and we were very disappointed when an additional charge of over $30 for the shrimp cocktail was added. This considering we spent almost $1000USD at your restaurant including bottles of wine. As for the bottle of wines we ordered , we had to serve ourselves, and refill our own empty glasses. I would have expected much better service than this. This false representation left us frustrated and deceived and turned an otherwise good experience sour. I am not confident I will be recommending friends and family to your restaurant as we did not have an overall good experience.

It was very busy on a Saturday night and we hadn’t booked so the was a 40 min wait, there was a small bar waiting area but that was very busy. The food was good but a bit pricey

We had a fantastic dinner, the meal (great variety of meats) and delicious salad bar. Very attentive staff. But when we left, from our table to the door, we crossed 15 members of the staff (manager and hostess included) and nobody said to us ( thank you very much, hope to see you soon, or a simple have a food evening). So like my title says « almost perfect », but would go back.

We dined at Fogo de Chao in Philadelphia in May 2019. The salad bar is impressive, including some items (such as palm hearts) not found elsewhere, but the main event is the array of grilled meats, sliced from large skewers at tableside. Although the meats are delicious and offered continuously until one signals “no more” via a card on the table, it is difficult to justify the price ($60 per person when we visited, not including beverages or dessert). If, like seemingly all of the abundant Friday night clientele, you can without hesitation spend more than $300 on dinner for four carnivorous adults, then by all means, tuck in to this Brazilian feast and its commensurately pricey wine list (or the refreshing non-alcoholic limeade). If, on the other hand, price is a consideration, then rest assured there are plenty of other restaurants with meats of comparable quality, in more limited but still satisfying quantity, for less than half the cost of Fogo de Chao. A few practical notes: Our server was friendly, prompt, and professional. However, the atmosphere was not as pleasant for us as it might have been, due to the excessively loud background music (the manager actually came in and turned it up even louder during our meal, making it seem more like a dance club than a fine dining establishment). The spacious, clean restrooms are located downstairs, with an elevator available for those who need it. This restaurant gets quite crowded on weekends, so it’s best to make a reservation (we used OpenTable and it worked fine).

This is a very clean, posh-feeling restaurant that is centrally located on Chestnut St. My husband's first experience at a Fogo de Chao and I suggested that he eat the great variety of meats first before a trip to the salad bar or filling up on the bread, mashed potato, and plaintian broughtto the table. He loved the food but of course we are meat lovers! Our waitress made one initial visit and then we were checked on by various staff members. Had to ask for a bill at the end so we felt somewhat overlooked but full nonetheless.

While on a business trip I had dinner with my 11 month old son and Aunt. We LOVED the food! We ordered cocktails too-mine had rum infused with pineapple. Definitely made top ten drinks I’ve had. Staff was very attentive. Highly recommend this place

This place is beautiful with great food. I'd recommend going light on the great salad bar and focus on the meats that they bring to the table. These meats of steak, lamb, ribs, chicken and pork are brought to you and cut to your liking. Enjoy and show up hungry.

A lively place, full of the typical Brazilian zest that seems to infect the patrons as well. The system is quite simple - there is an as much as you can eat quite well-stocked salad bar, and friendly waiters carrying large spits of all kinds of meat pass by your table offering to cut some - or a lot - for the diner, who grabs the meat with supplied tongs. Food is overtly generous. One could - and some people do, I am sure - gorge themselves to oblivion. The wine selection is small but adequate, and the Brazilian cocktails are quite potent. Our servers were all friendly and efficient. Worth going, or returning.

After a long day we was looking for a nice place for dinner. The Restorant was perfect from the moment we walked in! We had no reservation, but got seated right away. Service was excellent, food was delicious. It’s a little pricey, but it’s worth it. Would love to visit it again!

At Fogo, the staff walks around with different types of meats on huge skewers. They bring it right to your table. You get to pick what slice of meet you want. They then slice it, and you grab it with tongs and put it on your plate. All of the meats were very good, and there was tremendous variety. It all gets to your plate still hot. There is also an amazing salad bar which is included, and has plenty of options for vegetarians.

Been here once to celebrate my daughter-in-laws birthday. The atmosphere is very good the food is plentiful and tasty. All the usual meats nicely cooked and served at your your table. Salads were abundant, but you don't go to a steak house for all you can eat salad. Its not cheap, but a nice experience if you never been to a Brazilian Steak House before. The only thing I didn't like was after most of the meats were cut and plated, the service dropped off tremendously. Water refills and coffee refills should not be neglected. Otherwise it was a nice experience You can order from a limited menu if you don't eat meat.

What does it tell you about how much I enjoyed this dinner when I start by saying it is sooo not worth the price yet still give it 5 stars?!? They tempt you in with a totally awesome "salad" bar and the meats don't stop as long as your card is green. They don't offer just any cheap cuts either. Did I mention everything is all you can eat as long as you'd like to stay. Prompt service is an understatement. With the entire restaurant packed, I flipped my card to green expecting to wait a few minutes for an offering. After blinking I realize my plate was nearly full of meat and that I needed to turn the card back over so I could actually eat. They are just as good with drinks. Come hungry and bring friends!

Very cozy place and exquisite food. I would like to mention the professionalism and exceptional treatment offered by Yenifer Tineo. Their service was spectacular and made us enjoy a night of 10.

The meat was so good, tender and savory. The servers are very accomdating. The salads are great. Will definitely come back

IThe female waiters were great and I think embarrassed we could not get service from the gauchos. In 90 minutes we had 4 stops for sliced meat! This is basically why most people dine there. Twice was chicken. We had to ask for service more then once. Also had to ask repeatedly for the better cuts such as filet and lamb chops. Waited with nothing for over 15 minutes for each of those meats. It was early so uncrowded there’s for no excuse. When finer, more expensive meats were requested, we were told twice the meat was cooking?!!? Shouldn’t it be ready we your reserved tables arrive? You are open right?! Not the time to be cutting corners. 6th visit, 2nd bad visit, 1st post pandemic closure. 278.00 with 1 drink for 3 people! Absolutely Not worth it. Very disappointing.” No explanation from customer service which is all we wanted.

I love this place but I can only go for the full experience once every two or three years. It's just so much food and so much meat. Fogo remains undefeated for being simultaneously the best and worst reason to become a vegetarian. You'll tell yourself you're going to be reasonable this time, but you won't. You'll just keep eating until you hate yourself. First, there's so much at the salad bar. Cheeses, grilled veggies, and so, so many kinds of salads. There's a hot bar to too with the most delicious beans and soup. Then they will bring you bread and sides to your table. That's all before the parade of meats starts. It's so worth it, but best for special occasions. They do a really great brunch too with all the meats and an omelet bar and waffles. You can't possibly eat everything they have to offer, but all of it is so delicious you won't be able to stop yourself from making the attempt.

Even though the restaurant specializes in grilled meats served at the table off long skewers, I was delighted with the best salad bar I've ever enjoyed.

I had a horrible experience for the first time going to the establishment, my booking time at 9:30 on February 15 I marked with 10 friends for celebrating my anniversary. We were treated very badly by the staff. Not even a dessert list they offered , we made a request for one thing arrived another kind of drink , and the employees with ugly face still to us , we ate little , when man meat passed called us they didn 't even come with us , we paid for a high price to still leave without eating And the worst thing I was even more upset about was the lack of education when they came to the table sending an agent away We asked congratulations at the table for being my birthday, they gave the minimum as if I had not even listening!!!

Have been to many churrascarías over the years. This is a chain that I have seen from n many cities. It’s a huge restaurant. Salad bar is excellent, loads of delicious choices. Wine list is a wide selection of good wines. The meats keep coming if you keep your coasters green upward. Lots of choices of good meats, some saltier then we like, but mostly well spiced. The lamb chop is exquisite!! Have to ask for it. The plantains and yucca fries are delicious. Desert looked great but was way too full to partake. The plantains were our desert. Excellent food!

This place has delicious cuts of meat, and a very nice variety. It feels upscale, but not too upscale. There was never more than a few minutes wait between them coming around and they were quick to ask us if there was anything that hadn't come around in a while that we wanted again.

The selection of meats is outrageous and perfectly cooked. Very impressive salad/sides bar, save appetite for the meat. It’s a little pricey but if you can eat it’s worth it.

Fogo never fails to satisfy. While it is quite pricey, it is worth it. The meats are delicious and the salad bar is phenomenal. I would like to be given a healthier dining option other than the salad bar only. The bar is nice if a little small and the bartenders are way over worked as it is the bar for the entire restaurant as well. The wait staff is always wonderful and our waiter Christopher was super nice.

This was not just a restaurant but an experience. There was every type of meat imaginable as well as chicken, lamb chops and pork. There is also an unlimited salad bar with roasted vegetables, chicken salad, potato salad, different types of breads and you can choose from 2 different sides, unlimited, served family style, for each table. You certainly get your money's worth at this restaurant. I would definitely go here again. I really enjoyed it.

This was my 2 teenage son’s 1st experience at a Brazilian steakhouse. They thoroughly enjoyed it. The food at the salad bar was exceptional and the meats were amazing. We came on a weekday non-peak time and there were at least 10 different choices.

I liked this statehouse better than the one on Long Island. This time went against the grain and decided to order fish. The Chilean seabass was great. Also, the salad bar in the center of the restaurant was very well stocked and fresh. A very high quality and freshly made food here.

We had reservations for 2:30 and had about 15 minute wait for our table. Excellent customer service, very attentive and courteous. Food was okay, would love some additional seasonings on the meats. Side options were great and overall we all enjoyed the restaurant.

Amazing Brazilian steakhouse with nice spread is salads for starters. Then they have everything from chicken to pork to beef and lamb steaks being served continuously till the time your all full. Loved the lamb steak. Must visit if you like meat

We ordered a pre-cooked meal for four which included a TON of meat- chicken and two types of beef, mashed potatoes, Caesar salad, asparagus, the famous rolls (I forget the name for them), and dessert. Wow, it was fantastic! The meat was flavorful and delicious. I highly recommend taking food out from Fogo de Chao. Completely worth every penny and with a lot of leftovers. There was a really cute surprise in the bag- the 'want more' and 'stop' circles that you get when you eat at the restaurant as well as four candles so if you were celebrating a birthday you'd have candles. We all felt that was a very thoughtful addition to our great meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for take out and of course to eat in when that is available post-Covid.

This is the most incredible restaurant that I've ever frequented in my entire life. The whole experience was extraordinary. 1 million stars!!!

I had never been to this type of steakhouse and I had never experienced any thing like it. The restaurant was tastefully decorated. The salad bar was the best salad bar I had ever eaten at. It was well stocked. The host that explained the concept to us had a very heavy accent and I had a hard time understanding him but my guest had visited before and knew the routine. I thought the price was high but I would definitely visit again.

My spouse and I are both veterans and appreciate this restaurant chain's offering half-price meals to vets on Veterans Day. We took advantage of this offer in San Francisco, but this was our first visit to the Philadelphia location. It was very, very busy here (a good sign), and the space was absolutely beautiful - dark woodwork, very high ceilings, and sparkling chandeliers. The service was top notch. Servers were friendly and pleasant, and the meats came around regularly. Bottom sirloin, prime rib, and lamb were the standouts. The garlic pork was also quite good, but the chicken breast was dry. The buffet table held a large variety of delicious items, and the side dishes of roasted bananas and polenta fries were hot and exceptionally tasty. Overall this was a great experience, and we will certainly be back!

This place was very nice spacious, nice bar ,nice people and servers. my guest and I went on Veterans Day they had a discount for us ,thanks for that by the way ! we both got the full experience and wow ! the salad and hot bar was very good, tasty ,and a nice selections. The servers would come to your table and bring you steak, lamb, chicken, and pork, cooked how you like it to perfection. if you like all you can eat meats and sides you have to go there. It can get expensive but well worth it ! you gotta treat yourself sometimes.

We have been to fogo many times. Their grilled meats are amazing! We have also gone several times for their fantastic salad bar $15 lunch special. Included is the mashed potatoes, fried polenta, and sweet plantain sides, as well as soup, rice and black beans. The salad bar is exceptional. The decor and service is great at this Center City location.

We celebrated my New Year's Eve Birthday with our sons and wives at Fogo de Chao.. As always the service is tremendous and the steak is top notch. It is hard not to overeat and just when you turn your tab from green to red here comes the fillet again! I even got a complimentary chocolate mouse cake with candle. It was a very special evening despite the heavy rain and traffic and we made another great memory with our family. Everything was perfect except the # on my birthday but hey, 70 is the new 50. Perfectly wonderfully great.

I loved the salad bar and the services. They continuously brought out delicious different types of meats and gave the option for fish. We enjoyed trying so many different things but became full very fast. It was a great place for a good times with friends/family. I don't think it's worth it to take young children. We lingered with drinks and had a great time spending time together.

If I could rate this place a zero, I would with no hesitation. My party of 11 gathered on Saturday, May 15th (at Fogo de Chão downtown Philly), to celebrate the birthday’s of my husband and mother-in-law. In the beginning, the atmosphere was wonderful, the food was good- once the waitress finally relayed the message that our table only wanted well done meats. The experience quickly turned sour and we haven’t even paid our bill yet. As we were circulating the electronic tablet to split the shared bill, my family noticed that there may be something wrong with the bill. Talking amongst ourselves, we try to figure out the problem. The waitress overhears our conversation and then interjects her rude comments. Instead of explaining where we may have went wrong, she simply states you are wrong. 3 members from the party stated that in the beginning, when they ordered drinks, this same waitress told us that they were serving shots for $7-$8. When questioned, she said that she never said it. The waitress then lost all control and started to scream and argue with a member of the party. She walks away, frustrated, and talks to other coworkers around. We have no seen a manager at this point yet. A different woman comes by whom our waitress was speaking with. My party asked if she was a manager and this woman answered “yes.” We proceed to explain the situation to her and why we think our bill is wrong and how poorly we are being treated by our waitress. The woman, which later we found out was not actually a manager, told us we were wrong and that she was in agreement with the waitress, that we have to pay our bill and leave. After exhausting all attempts, and thinking we spoke to a manager, we pay our bill until it says $0.00 and attempt to exit the building. As we are leaving, we hear a yell from the kitchen area and we see our waitress chasing us down in the middle of the resturant. She then shows us a receipt inciting we owe another $100 on top of all the money we already paid. She could not explain what this money is for, why we still owe it or where the receipt came from when we all questioned her. Exhausted, with a long drive home, a member of the party was simply going to pay the extra fee. Until we realized that our party was overcharged, we refused to pay any more money. The resturant was not letting us leave, so a few of us decided to go to the bathroom, to where we were followed by the same waitress with the receipt. We did the calculations downstairs by the bathrooms, proving that we were overcharged. The waitress was speechless. Speechless enough to not give any of us an apology. She then gets a manager- for the first time. We explain the situation to him, still not believing us, he says we must pay this extra money. We ask the waitress, who just saw the calculations proving that we were overcharged and paid way more than we owe, to speak for us. She refused and stated she cannot speak to or over her manager. The manager then began to get confrontational, stating that my party doesn’t even look like we can afford to eat here anyway and other discriminatory comments. A party member then pulls out his phone to do the calculations with the manager watching, proving again for another time that we are being overcharged. The manager says, your phone is wrong and pull out his phone to do the calculations. Once he calculates well over our balance, he was also speechless. We asked for an apology and he apologizes, but not for things he said, just for the calculations. The manager did nothing further for us besides getting the General Manager. The General Manager came off very polite, respectful, making us think he will fix our issue very quickly. That was short-lived. He told us he could not give back any money that was overcharged/overpaid and absolutely no refunds whatsoever. He tried to give 3 gift cards to us, for a party of 11. We stated that we refused to come back there due to poor treatment, discriminatory comments and asked we at least get a refund of the money we were overcharged/overpaid. Due to an altercation where a waitor tripped and falsely accused a member of the party of pushing him (many witnesses inside the resturant objected and even had video footage proving that the waitor was not touched or tripped by another), the General Manager stated he would give each member of the party back a full refund. He said his system was down for an additional 2 hours and could not issue proof of full refund. He expected to leave with his word, so we decided that we would wait for our copies of receipts. He kept stalling, making excuses about the full refund. Many of his own staff members stated that the General Manager is incompetent and that the issue should’ve been resolved in less than an hour. We did not leave with receipts instating a full refund due to the excuse of a ‘frozen’ system. But what we do have is the General Manager giving us permission to take pictures and record him stating that he is instating a full refund to our party. It is May 19th and there are no signs of a refund. To the General Manager of Fogo de Chão who stated- he understands what we are going through because his wife is Black, we demand our full refund with proof as promised by you and a formal apology for the racist, discriminatory, poor treatment we endured on Saturday, May 15th.

The meat was really well cooked and in fantastically plentiful supply. The waiter did a great job to cut something that suited the different tastes of the people in our party. Also worth noting that the salad bar was well stocked too

Fast service and great food. The meat kept coming.... We were lucky to have been there during restaurant week. The place was packed and the line out the door. Highly recommend!!!

Went on Thanksgiving with a 2pm reservation. Super packed and reservation only. It was so tight and loud. Where to begin. As it was a holiday there was free street parking which saved a nice amount of money as they charge for parking/valet. They have a very tiny bar. Bar tender not super clear on how to make certain drinks and they are expensive. 2 well drinks $40 w/tip (not sure they gave us well). Bar tenders could have been a bit more interactive. Got seated and the wait staff never brought the bread or fixings that you are supposed to get with the meal. The food was good. Salad bar was good. The Brazilian turkey and sweet potatoes were very good. However, it was very difficult to get them to bring the filet mignon. We asked multiple times and got the standard be right there with it. When we left you could barely squeeze by the tables to get out. The restrooms are down a flight of stairs.

We came last month to celebrate our son's birthday and the staff was incredibly gracious, from being flexible with our ever changing guest list, to our table location requests, to handling a cake delivery, they were wonderful. I'd especially like to thank Erik, the manager, who was so communicative and made sure we were well taken care of all evening. It was truly a wonderful meal we're so grateful!

What an experience...first point that must be made is to pace your meal. Everyone tells you to make sure you’re hungry when you go but if you eat too fast you’ll wish you had. Our experience lasted about an hour and 15 minutes, but if we went again we would make it last more like two hours. The salad bar was extensive and was a good compliment to our dinner. Drinks were good as my wife and I both had the Vodka infused fruit lemonade. Every piece of meat we had was delicious and tasty. Enjoy!!

We chanced upon this place as we walked down the street and were lucky to get a table on a Saturday night. The two of us had pre dinner cocktails which were excellent both in value and in taste. The appetiser we had was a little expensive for 6 shrimp for $21.50 but tasty. We didn’t need it though. The premise is basically a very upmarket buffet with meat carved off the skewer at your table and an extensive salad bar. Can recommend.

The staff was excellent as usual and the food was delicious. I do wish our section had received other meat selections. The same 4 meats came to our table over & over. Each table should have a list of meats being served so we can ask for those specific meats to try. We watched lamb chops, parm chicken & ribs go by but couldn’t get anyone to bring them to our section in the corner. Only when leaving did we finally see the melted cheese. We see this as an opportunity for our family to try things outside the box, but when not given the opportunity they miss out.

Business meeting and have been to other Brazilian steak houses including Fogo in Atlanta. Did not disappoint, great marinated meats carved at your table when green side up on disk. Skimp on salad so room for Desserts!

Celebration dinner for a Nephew that had graduated from Medical School at Drexel. I have eaten at similar restaurants, but I think this is the chain that is at the top of this type of dining. Excellent salad bar with a wide variety of food. They also have soup, black beans, a staple in parts of Central and South America, and rice. Service was excellent and the entree (meats and chicken) served at the tables, usually from skewers. My favorite was the rib lamb chop, followed by the top sirloin. Extensive wine list with some good values. Restaurant was crowded so recommend making a reservation early. Appears to be a very popular restaurant for locals and tourists. Tip--Pace yourself and go for the more exotic and tasteful items at the salad bar. Can go back to the salad bar for seconds and thirds, and the main course will keep on being served until you will most likely eat more than you should. Food quality and preparation is very good to excellent.

Authentic Brazilian taste. Located in the downtown area, this restaurant offers Brazilian style meat buffet cut right at your table. It also has a salad/cold cuts buffet. It is, however, quite expensive.

Very high priced and for no good reason.. we’ve had much better meat elsewhere! Service was great but the total experience was not worth it, sorry to say.

Not only was they high as hell but they charged us for EVERY soda we got I was annoyed there was no shrimp at the salad bar I just was mad about that $223 that my husband spent on dinner

Nice place although very busy it's not noisy. Yes they have quite the extensive salad bar but you are really there for the meat. Great service and you won't leave hungry.

This restaurant was amazing, and all the meat, chicken, and pork that they bring around some of the cuts never made it to our table. What I did find out when we were finished was that you can specify ask for a certain cut, this would have been good to know in the beginning. Ambiance was loud as they were busy and it was very hard hearing the servers and waitress through the masks they wear. So we just guessed what everything was as they presented it. Also being my birthday, our 1st together, my girlfriend called and asked and then twice asked the waitress to have Happy Birthday written on the desert that we ordered with a candle. Never happened, which upset her and being as it was busy did not want to ask again as surprise was already ruined at that point. Other than that the food was incredibly good.

It was a wonderful evening !! The staff was on point with everything ! Had a great time and great service !

A large hall with many tables and a large table of self-service appetizers. Generally good and fresh. The characteristic of the place is to serve meat at the tables sliced in front of the diner based on a green (I want) or red (pass) tag. Many types of meat, the best is picanha and the fillet comes out at the end when you are full. Great confusion and high risk of being splashed while the waiter slices. There is not the usual presentation of the type of meat offered that I had seen done in San Diego

Stuck at a table all the way in the back of a large restaurant with a large group of people. Meat selection was sparse. Half the time came to table and served two people then ran out of meat. Also same meat selection came over and over instead of full variety. It was also very overpriced and we could have had an amazing meal in a private room with open bar for the price we paid per person. Very dissappointing and would not go back.

Was here with a group of follks for dinner and as I've eaten in these before in NY and Chicago, I knew what to expect. Food was great, my wife had the sea bass and said it was very good. Lamb chops were excellent. The service was friendly and fast and my caipirinha delicious. Only downfall was neat dinner end, we were joined by a mouse who scurried across the floor right next to us and then later went up the tall drapes on the doorway and up above us... they said theyd been trying to catch it lately.... apparently not hard enough! Kind of a downer way to end a nice dinner with friends.

Great food and super fun experience albet a bit chaotic (which adds to the fun). Although extremely busy, service was quick and friendly-- even as a tray of plates almost landed on my head (seriously). Salad bar is terrific also, plenty for non-carnivoures to enjoy also. Expensive but worth the price. FUN!!

Great food and service. Although if using a coupon or going during restaurant week there are limitations as to what style meats and sides are available. Not a cheap date for sure

Came here for a birthday. And the waiter was great told us what to eat and not to eat lol. At the end of the day he surprise us with a no charge birthday dessert. It was very nice.

Experience and food was good. A little bit expensive though. Service was nice, everybody vey professional and attentive.

Fantastic service and great food. Plan to show up hungry as there is a large variety of servings to choose from. The only thing that could have been better is if desert was free.

My boyfriend and I went here for valentines day. Our reservation was for 8:30 pm, and we had to wait until 9:00 pm to be seated. While we were waiting, we got a drink at the bar but had to wait 15 minutes to even get the bartender's attention and then we had to wait to pay the check and got called to our seat and the bartender STILL didn't take my credit card to pay so we left cash. When we got seated, our sever did NOT check on us at all during our entire meal. Didn't even ask if we needed drinks or check up on us to see if we needed anything. We flipped our card over to the color red and our sever STILL did NOT check on us after passing us several times. 30 minutes later, my boyfriend had to wave our sever down to get the check. It took her 10 minutes to even give us the check after HE ASKED. Then, our server was so slow and rude and disrespectful it took her AN HOUR to swipe our credit card. This was the worst service I ever had, completely ruined our Valentines Day. Very disappointed.

A very different and delicious restaurant experience. Highly recommend! Great service and an amazing atmosphere.

Good isn't the right word. Delicious!!!! The 'marketplace' had enough for a meal and then there were all the meats. One was better than the next. And the deserts. Yup, we still had room to share 2 deserts between 4 of us.

This place misses the mark. The vibe seems off. This is my second lunch visit at this location. The $10.00 bar burger was cooked medium well, not medium rare as I asked. I wasn't asked how it was and I didn't bother to send it back, I asked to see one of the servers whom I met on my last visit. Is it turned out, that server had left and another person of the same name came to the bar to see me. Weird affect was an understatement. When asked his country of origin, the response was, "you are making me uncomfortable." But the overarching sour event was the self absorbed, non interactive bartender. I was not asked whether I wanted another glass of wine (I had to ask) nor did he take my credit card in a prompt manner (it sat on the counter for 30 minutes.). He was pre-occupies cutting up the bar condiments for the day. I will not go back here.

They offer valet parking and that gets you off to a good start..Then we were seated very close to our reservation. Wow, the fun begins;waitstaff is excellent at directing the organized chaos. The salad/ soup/sides are on an extensive salad bar. The gaucho servers bring meatof all kinds. All you do is request something and they bring it to your table and slice some.

I will say that this is the 6th time I have been here. I have come to find that while the food is always good there are better times to go then others. I would recommend not going around the holidays. The food was a little off and they were pushing more pork then beef from our last experience. The market table was outstanding as normal. The worst part was it took us almost an hour from the time we asked for the check to the time we got checked out. Service was good but I think based on the amount of people they had a hard time keeping up.

Went on a family outing to Philadelphia and we had dinner at Fogo De Chao on Chestnut street. Despite the reservation we had to wait for 15 min for a table. Once seated the host was kind and attentive but seemed to be always in a hurry, and we did not blame him, it was a packed night. The buffet and meat selection were ok not the best. Boston's Fogo de Chao operates at a much higher quality level, on both fronts: staff and food.

After entering the swinging doors of the building located at 1337 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, we could see the bar on the right and the large cozy dining room on the left, also having a large salad & soup bar. The ambiance is modern and warm with nicely decorated walls. The tables and chairs were so comfortable and the waiters were very friendly. Most of the featured fire roasted meats were so tender and juicy but the bottom sirloin was a bit hard. Side dishes such as warm cheese bread, crispy polenta and garlic mashed potato were very good too. We waited around 15 minutes to order the rib eye but aside from that, any other roasted meats were served continuously. We could control the service of delectable meats using the green and red sided paper disk provided on the table. Green signals of service, while red means that you requested a pause. At the end of the dinner, when we paid the bill, the manager gave us a $50 voucher for our next dinner at Fogo de Chao. I will remember this beautiful experience for a long time !

Are usually love Fogo de Chão. This is the first time we went to the Philadelphia location and I was so disappointed. It was very crowded as it was the day before Mother’s Day and we had to constantly search for someone to refill drinks and we had to request spread to the table. The salad bar was fine. When they started bringing around the meats, we found it so difficult to chew most of them is the quality was very poor.I don’t know if it was just this particular Location that was so bad or if the quality is just going down because of all the Covid losses and they are choosing a lesser quality of meats. I would not go back for a very long time and would definitely choose another location in Philadelphia.

I eat Fogo de chao all the time. I love the food and the system. The service at this location was slow, a little inattentive and just missed the standards I think Fogo sets. It could have just been busy or a new server but I recommend patience for those going. Food was still great.

Let me first say, I have never been here before until my first visit, January 12,2020. We came during restaurant month where the price was a bit more my speed. I came with a large group- it was loud, I could barely hear the servers, but the food was fantastic. The one server I could hear was Chef Michael. He served us a fantastic grilled cheese. A week later I found my self here again after raving about the food and it was still restaurant so I brought another friend. Again the food was fantastic, being a little quieter I could hear the servers, and I paced myself a bit better trying more then the first time. Chef Michael again visited our table once with pork another time with his amazing cheese. During both times to our table Chef Michael explained what he was serving and was very friendly. Believe it or not, I found myself here with another couple the following week as a thank you gift to them. For the third time the food was fantastic and now I’m noticing a pattern. Fogo consistently puts out good food, great at most and one Chef in particular always greeting his tables with a warm smile and pride in what he’s serving- you guessed it Chef Michael. Our last visit was February 16, 2020. It did not disappoint. From the hostess, to our waiters, to even the young lady who filled our water, Fogo was once again on top of their game. The side bar is always filled with a huge variety of sides, and the servers with meat choices came by frequently. My favorite by the way is the top sirloin, bacon wrapped chicken, and bottom round. The grilled cheese and honey I could eat every day and once again Chef Michael was engaging and so proud of his product!! He goes out of his way to make you feel as if you are the only table in the whole restaurant. Every single one of our visits dining here was a fantastic and a fun experience. I can’t believe it took me so long to come here. On a side note,we were billed for a drink we didn’t order( we had water the whole time) and didn’t notice til we got home. We called left a message and the manager got back to us the next day. He was friendly and very apologetic about it and refunded our card. There was no debating or questioning it at all- something you would expect at other places. This again is just another example of the quality of not just food but service this establishment puts out. I’m sure we will be back soon!!

I love New Orleans food, but if you are in New Orleans and just want good meat, go to Fogo de Chao Brazillian Steak House. We did. We were there for a dinner program in March during a convention. The salad bar was outstanding, with plenty of variety. The meats were excellent, and of course, you can eat as much as you want. If you have room for the mashed potatoes, they were excellent, as my Irish wife conformed. The restaurant is conveniently located on Canal Street and after dinner all you need to do is cross Canal Strett and you are in the French Quarter for more fun.

My second time visiting this great restaurant, again it didn't disappoint, I love the unique dining experience here, it's always great fun to flip the disc to Yes and see what arrives at the table. They had a wonderful salad bar, but don't fill up too much before the meat arrives. The staff are wonderful also. The perfect dining experience.

I ate so much food here. There is a great salad bar and the meat options just keep coming. You can eat and drink and talk for hours here. What a great atmosphere and what great food.

It was our first time eating at a Fogo de Chao. You can visit the salad bar as many times as you want and you flip over a a double sided chip to let the servers know you want meat. The sides were great too, especially the yuca. Although a bit pricey, the meat was delicious and the service is good. It is an all you can eat, so come hungry!! (Our price was higher because we bought a bottle of wine, dessert and digestive cocktails)

It is very loud and crowded. We were a party of 6 and we were shouting at each other to hear what the other said. Yes, there was lots of meat and it was well-prepared. But, it was impossible to get the finer cuts of meat like filet mignon, lamb chops, and ancho (rib eye). We had to ask three times for lamb chops and could not relax and go to the salad bar in case the better cuts would come around. The waitress we had was there for only one week and she was working our table on Mother's day. Also, when the men came around with meat, they often skipped my husband who was seated against the wall. Really?!! We could not relax and enjoy this meal! I have been to Fogo de Chao in Denver and it was certainly not like this. It was relaxing and it had excellent service. Also, they did not provide adequate side dishes like the mashed potatoes, polenta sticks and fried bananas. We asked repeatedly for additional potatoes and polenta and never received them. Also, there were no seafood options coming around to the tables (Denver had them). We got a promotional gift card for Mother's Day. We were supposed to get two because there were two mothers at my table, myself and my mother. So, I had to ask for another gift card. Additionally, the entrance and waiting area was incredibly crowded, and you had to push through that crowd to get to the rest rooms. I will never go to this place again!

We have fined at Fogo in 3 different. Cities Chicago , Vegas , and now phily . The service was phenomenal . The gentlemen who bring the choices of meat remembering our temp preference . couple slices of meat were the wrong temp. Not sure if it was the sever or the kitchen being the issue . Also the restaurant was dusty . It was very noticeable

We have come again to this great restaurant, we love it. The atmosphere is relaxing in a great historic building. We've been to Fogo in King of Prussia and DC, but this one is the best. Their salad bar is the most well stocked one I've enjoyed. I especially love the wheel of Pecorino romano cheese. It is wonderful to have a bite of a wide variety of offerings and not have to make up my mind on what I feel like eating. The never ending parade of various cuts of meat that come to the table are all delicious. I highly recommend coming hungry.

If you have never been to a Brazillian Steakhouse it is an experience you should have. In fact, a restaurant in Rio is on the 100 things you must do (but that is another review). To explain the steakhouse experience, the waiters circulate with different cuts of meat and chicken and you have a red and green poker chip for stop and go.The other common denominator is a great salad bar. So my suggestion is to come with an appetite or hungry I went here for lunch you can have just the salad bar and add 8 to 10 ounces of meat or other selections for about $8.00 to $12.00 or the full experience for $35.00.My friend chose the salad bar and I chose the salad bar plus. The brown sugar bacon on the salad bar is fantastic. I had the sirloin which was excellent. We had no alcohol because we were working. I did have the Brazillian lemonade which was very good. The service was good and everyone was very pleasant. The reason I am not giving it excellent was the salad bar did not offer much in the way of fish (smoked salmon was there) or cheeses and there were no sweets on the salad bar. They also bring you bread, fried plantains and polenta sticks to the table (free). The room is large but not overwhelming and is pretty The salad bar is in the middle of the room.I need to go back to try the great cocktail menu when I am not working.

My wife and I went to Fogo De Chao on Valentine's Day 2020,in Downtown Philly, the food was very good, it was an Open Table, The Salad Bar was a delight and more then I expected. The Meats kept coming, the Sirloin steak was excellent. The atmosphere was Cozy, the staff was on their toes. However our Bill was $167.00 for 2 people, when I paid the check, I used my Debit Card, and I gave our Waiter a $20.00 Bill for a Tip. He took the $20.00 Bill and crumbled it up in his hand. I thought that was very disrespectful and ignorant. I should have reported him to the Manager, but we were running late for a show, How much do they expect to get. Clarence Cooper Jr.

Great food, beautiful place, outstanding staff. So pleased to have went. the servers were so pleasant and showed they cared for us to have a special night. The meats were cooked perfectly. The space is stunning with beautiful details.

We dined at Fogo for our first time ever last night. We celebrated a good friends birthday. Upon being seated, our server asked if we had ever dined at Fogo before. We answered “no”. He then asked which course we planned to opt for, without explanation. That was his opportunity to talk the experience up and explain the process of things. He did not. He begrudgingly explained “the full experience” and al la carte. The food itself was great. I found that top sirloin circulated the most. Chef Michael brought our table a chicken dish that was marinated in pineapple juice for 24 hours. That was delicious and his friendly approach and mini introduction was the most personable experience of the evening. Understandably for a Saturday evening, the place was packed. We were placed at a table in a corner that seemed to be neglected by the servers at times. Lastly, we had reservations for 6:15pm but we’re not seated until roughly 7pm. The “waiting area” was crammed with other guests waiting to be seated. Overall, our table felt slightly underwhelmed by the experience. Food was delicious but the overall experience was lacking.

This review is from our visit in Saturday (03/30/2019). The food was great, our server really attention to our table ! The deserts not that good ,... They don’t have all the Brazilian dishes ( like the others locations- I asked about bc a friend was in nyc location)! The cocktail not great ! We change and order a bottle wine ! The worse was The Valet parking , we wait 30 minutes to they bring our car and the tip is requested in advance !!! Not coming back that is for sure ! The arrogance from the valet people horrible !

We have visited DC, Orlando, KOP and this is our favorite!!! Salad bar and meat is by far the best!!! Mary, Sherri and Blake are amazing and always make us feel like we are the only people dining there that night...Highly recommend this Location!!!

First time at a restaurant of this nature. With reservations,we were seated immediately. Service throughout our time there was extraordinary. For a fixed price, you get a variety of cuts and tastes of beef, pork, chicken and lamb and you can eat as much as you want. Drinks are an additional cost, but dessert is also included. This was a truly extraordinary experience.

Sort of a DisneyWorld experience of meat but not for everyone. Mixed thoughts on the experience. I enjoyed the meat my wife not so much. She went salad bar, which was good. Price was high. I’d say a once a year experience...maybe.

This was my first time ever coming here and being more of a “sides” person than a meat person I was a little on the fence. I’m definitely glad we came. The meats were all so well seasoned and didn’t require anything else (A1, salt etc). I really enjoyed just being able to try a little of everything. The sides they did bring to the table were pretty good as well. The salad bar was closed due to COVID but I was always told to steer clear of there so I didn’t fill up anyway. This location did a great job at social distancing the tables and made you feel comfortable as well. Our server was the best. She was so nice and welcoming. I’d definitely go back.

The salad bar is so bad … looks like vegetables are sitting there for a long time …fruits are so sour and papayas taste like horrible.. never coming back… $66 /head deserts and drinks are not included….better eat in your local restaurant.. waste of time and money dining there

I usually do not eat at these mass meat production restaurants. However, there is always an exception to rule. And Fogo De Chao turned out to be my exception. Went with my Wife to celebrate Mother's Day together with my birthday. As you can guess the place was mobbed! Instead of a confused front reservation desk, we were greeted calmly and since we arrived early, were asked to wait a few minutes. And a few minutes is what we waited and then seated. Our servers were two very pleasant and attentive young ladies. They both instructed us on how to navigate the terrific and cleanly managed salad table. Every vegetable we ate was freshly and attractively laid out. Needless to say the items we selected were excellent. Then came the meats: Nicely seasoned beef, lamb, pork and chicken. The portions brought to our table were alway sliced hot and to my preferred doneness. The Salmon was a bit overcooked but still freshly cooked. The dessert was good as was the coffee. My wife and I were impressed by how the very large dining room was managed. Good Work GM. We will return!

Had never visited a Brazilian Steakhouse prior to this - wasn't 100% sure what to expect, but we enjoyed it. We dined at the KoP location. The meat was very good, and the included salad bar has a large variety of options, including charcuterie (IOW, more meat). Service was excellent. Price was fair, considering the amount and variety of beef/lamb/pork options available. Sides and rolls were tasty, but I didn't eat much, as I didn't want to fill up on them, with all of the different meat options available. The ambiance left a little to be desired, possibly - very loud - one big open room. I wouldn't call it "upscale" - people were wearing shorts and t-shirts. Definitely recommend reservations. Also ordered one of their signature drinks (Fogo Premium Caipirinhas) - delicious, but pricey for 1 drink. But, delicious.

Was there as a guest at a larger private party. The set up was excellent. Arrived to a table of chilled seafood - lobster tails, lobster claws, mussels, shrimp, etc., and then came the meat, and it just kept coming! All was delicious. Had a great night.

Was in the area for business and whew t in with a group of friends. Staff was great hot is a table and explained the entire dining experience to the table. Excellent salad bar with a great selection of items. The dinner experience is great when they bring out a wide selection of meats to choose from all cut table side. Great time will be back.

My family went over the holidays had a very nice meal. Sevice was very good and meats especially the beef was excellent. So go and enjoy

Sone of the best meat I have ever eaten! Lots of choices of top beef, chicken and pork. All brought to you table on skewers. The salad bar is very well stocked as well! Good wine list and other options. Bring a healthy appetite. Great service and within easy walking distance of the center city area.

Their services were overall good and we enjoyed our dinner. However, when we received the invoice, the # of the fixed fees per person was overstated and the tips have been included in the first invoice. We were a party of 5 and some of our family members came from a foreign country and they could not speak English well. I asked to fix the numbers of the fixed charge per person and the reason that the tip was included in the original invoice. The manager came to explain that 4 persons and more are automatically charged at 20% additional charges as a tip and she asked me how much % of tip I want to add. I told that I don’t see the tip policy in the menu that 4 and more are automatically charged a tip nor the server has never explained the tip policy. Also, I told that I want to decide the tip amount by myself, not her. Eventually, the manager accepted to eliminate the tip amount from the original invoice. I felt that the manager tried to cheat us and the manager’s attitude was not professional. I told the server that this is not her fault, but the manager was not nice.

Came to enjoy an exciting dinner with my husband and was quite surprised, but not in a pleasant way. Throughout the meal we were rushed and had to ask for everything at least four time to have it come to the table. We were seated in the rear side dining room and very few times did the servers come with a beef selection. Just pork, pork chops, pork wrapped , pork encrusted, pork sausage etc. I had to ask two servers and a supervisor to send a server with lamb, not a pork fan. The leg of lamb was tender but not seasoned well. Then had to make the same number of request for mint jelly , that also took forever, During the long wait we were asked if we were done and ready for desert at least four times. What I did notice was that if you were there for the full menu offering and not resturant week you were served continuously without the need of request. And the seafood add on was constantly in your face to increase both your dining menu and their revenue. After feeling as if we were being softly pushed from our table, my complete meal still on my plate, I felt uncomfortable with the dining experience and decided to leave after the fifth inquiry of “ are you ready for desert “. I was so set back that I said we’ll take desert to go. Here is what desert looked like. I actually thought they had brought us someone else’s half finished desert. This was not my first experience at Fogo and I’ve dined at their competitors establishment in Philadelphia as well but this was not up to our expectations of a satisfying meal. Yes, it is resturant week but don’t participate if you are not putting your best foot forward. For, while you are feeding me literally , my dollars are feeding you figuratively and we both should be satisfied in the end. My husband works in the hospitality industry and I understand how important tips are to a servers pay, so 20% is my standard and I didn’t sway from that. But with all the other offers in the city a resturant needs to beckon me away from my home kitchen to theirs. Off day’s happen to us all so we will try again on some other occasion, but with me 2 strikes and you’re out.

I came here with a male to catch up with old friends and I have to say the food was excellent. I'm not normally a fan of meat on a stick, the food came out succulents well quotes I was a pleasure to eat. This was not my suggestion of a restaurant but my colleagues who I came to meet. I would definitely recommend it to other people

This style of restaurant is predicated upon a model of all you can eat with a self-service salad bar and servers bringing a variety of meat offerings such as sausage, chicken and many many cuts of beef. I've eaten in some of the originals of this genre in Brazil and the meat is simply not as good. For example, my favorite cut is picanha and they just don't get it right.

I had been wanting to visit Fogo de Chao for years after many recommendations from friends. My boyfriend, in particular, loves Fogo so I decided to take him there for his birthday. My expectations were far surpassed in regards to the food and service. The market table was absolutely divine and I wish I could have gone up for more, but I was saving room for the meat which did not disappoint. The various roasted meats were mouthwatering and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The bottom sirloin was my favorite. We also split a divine chocolate cake. What really made our visit so special was the outstanding service from the Fogo staff. Our main waiter was extremely attentive and very personable. Additionally, many of the other waiters came to our table and wished my boyfriend a happy birthday and gave recommendations for fun places to go in Philly afterward. The food, atmosphere, and service made Fogo well-worth the price. Needless to say, I will be returning, hungry for more.

What a lovely afternoon and lunch feast we had this week at the Philadelphia Center City Fogo de Chao. An email wishing me Birthday Greetings (complete with a Gift Voucher) prompted my husband and I to visit Fogo de Chao for the first time since the prior autumn….. Covid had kept us away from many restaurants for far too long. We were warmly greeted when we arrived for our reservation. The grand space which the restaurant occupies still looks grand but was lacking the usual buzz since many of the normal expected crowds, lots of business people, City Hall clientele, and downtown tourists, are not around and out lunching these days. We received sincere friendly attention and enjoyed the opportunity for conversations with our wonderful server Claudia AND with the Chef, Chef Michael. I should first address the Covid precautions at Fogo, especially since they are so known for their buffet style MARKET TABLE….. a smorgasbord of many salads, cheeses, side items, veggies, fruits ….. and not to be forgotten Smoked Salmon and cured meats like Prosciutto and Ham. Only $15 (at lunch) and could easily be your full meal. Mama Mia!!! Now, the path into, around, and exiting the Market Buffet Table is well marked. At the Entrance an attendant answers questions and ensures each customer uses the Hand Sanitizer dispenser and is wearing a mask before approaching the goodies. Each item has its own serving utensil. Once my selections were complete (and my plate delightfully full with colorful goodies) I used the sanitizer again and headed to our table. There is another station nearby which offers Soups, Rice, Breads and more. For the “Main Event” I chose the Gaucho Lunch where for a bit more cost ($8-10) you choose ONE meat and will get unlimited servings. Meat choices include Sirloin Beef, Filet Mignon, Pork, Chicken, and Lamb. My favorite is always the lamb…both the lamb steak and the lamb chop. Melt in your mouth delicious. We had the opportunity to chat with friendly Chef Michael who did share with me the seasoning blend he uses for the lamb…..I must give it a try. My husband expressed Interest in adding a rib eye to the meats he had already accepted from the roving gauchos (Sirloin, Tenderloin Filet Mignon, Lamb, Pineapple Chicken…oh my!) Chef Micheal prepared one especially for him and told us the beef comes from Texas and the lamb from New Zealand and they really care that their customers have a great experience when dining with them. Since my husband was waiting while his special ribeye was being prepared, I decided to order a dessert to enjoy at the same time. I am a chocoholic and Claudia described two fantastic options. I went for the hot lava cake with fresh whipped cream and two scoops of vanilla ice cream….. I shouldn’t have….but I DID! Yes this was a special occasion so why not. Our lingering lunch came to an end. We were glad to have an almost two mile walk to home – it was a beautiful afternoon and the leisurely stroll was a nice way to wrap our lovely experience . Thanks Fogo de Chao for the attentive service, friendly conversation, delicious food, and even the special “ birthday desert gift”.

Parking is impossible in this area and we waited about 10 min in line for valet ($21) which took down 1 lane of traffic in the block. Arrived 1/2 hr early for our Open Table reservation and they seated us within minutes. Our waiter was excellent and checked on us often. My 13 yo son loves meat and loves this place which we take him once a year on his birthday. He thoroughly enjoyed himself. My husband said the leg of lamb was perfect. I enjoy the Picahna and bacon wrapped chicken. My daughter got tower of seafood ($99) but it is served chilled and she wished it would have been left warm instead. She doesn’t care for meat but she likely won’t order this tower next time. Michael served a specially prepared grilled mozzarella with spiced honey which was amazing. Salad bar was very good and loved the butternut squash soup. Tres leches and papaya ice cream with cassis were easy to manage after such a huge meal. We like the Philly location the best of all that we have tried but my memory of lunch here was better than the dinner experience. We’ll be back next Dec.

Located near the City Hall, Fogo do Chao is the ideal place to have juicy steak. If you visit Philly, do not miss it. Be prepared to eat a lot.

I have eaten at lot is there type restaurants all of the USA and South America so I kind of know what to expect. Nothing will ever compare to the one i had in Brazil last year but that’s ok. This place is beautiful inside and the service was impeccable right down to the valet parking. The meat was so so I wasn’t impressed at all. Some of the meats needed salt and I find that not normal based on my experience. The only meat that I found tender was the ribeye. The salad bar was lacking a lot. The hot food station for sides had only 2 items which I find strange and not good enough. I was recently in a Fogo De Chao in Mexico City and i didn’t expect it to be good but it was actually better than this one here in Philadelphia. The deserts were excellent I had the Flan and my wife had chocolate molten cake.

Fantastic!!!! The food was great. They even have this salad bar with some amazing items. I want to go back and try more. This was great. Service was great.

I enjoy when we go ...It is usually for a special occasion like a birthday, Consistently good service and good food.

Quick to provide all our drink orders and food needs....ate so much caused the meat sweats later on!

The feeling was loving loved! The food was amazing! The director made a special effort to make a perfect arrangement of fruit for my 3-year-old God daughter's day. And in our team the other duty manager certainly took care of the other children as well! If I had three wishes, 1 was to have more food for an extra belly, the 2nd was to have a gift of five stars, and the third was to give everybody such a fantastic place!

We went for lunch with a group and the restaurant was mostly full. The space was formerly an upscale jewelry store (Baily, Banks & Biddle) and has magnificent wooden paneling and beams. The room has a comfortable and elegant feeling to it. They have a $15 lunch special for soup. the salad bar. You can also order meat or chicken with the salad bar or off the main menu. Wow! The salad bar has greens, lots of different raw, roasted and marinated veggies, cheeses, sliced meats, chicken salad, potato salad and fruit. After looking a the bounty of the salad bar, we all went with soup and salad bar. They brought fried plantains, polenta sticks and rolls to our table as a complimentary appetizer. (All were delicious) The soup was a smooth split pea and very good. Then to the salad bar in the middle of the main room. Lots of choices, even for a vegetarian. (I'm not.) Our server was helpful and unobtrusive. All in all a very pleasant dining experience and we'll definitely be back for dinner some evening.

Went to this restaurant on the coldest day of the year. The ambiance was nice but the restaurant was cold. It was so cold that the food was cold before you got a chance to eat it, even the soup was cold. My fingers were numb. Suggest going there on a warmer day. Most of the food was bland, lacking seasoning. Chicken over cooked and dry. Only the lamb was good because it was cooked to order. I will look for a better steakhouse.

Very rich salad & fruit bar with also a large selection of cheese and ham, etc. Continuous supply of delicious meat varieties to your table. Good service, friendly staff.

Went to this restaurant and we were treated as royalty. The food and service is amazing. The drinks were OK. This is a place to come and unwind.

By seeing a restaurant week or something promotional sign outside of the restaurant, stopped here for lunch. Pros: 1.Gorgeous atmosphere, nice decor, high ceiling. Beautiful dining room. 2. Good food include salad/appetizer bar. 3. Attentive service. Con: Misleading outside sign. Promotion was not for that day. Ended up paying full price which was costly for lunch. If I knew from the beginning, didn't eat here.

Went with a group of colleagues and everyone loved the food. The 45 days dry aged Ribeye was simply gorgeously tasty a delicious flavor. Wine menu was overwhelming but the onsite sommelier helped us find the perfect wine that everyone liked.

Our server was patient as we had two people late to our dinner. Our server and runners were attentive to our table and super sweet. Shout out to Iskra! Also save room for desert. The crème brûlée topped it off.

Beware that the salad bar has items that you may not be familiar with or have never seen and unfortunately they are not labeled. The variety of meats are good but depending on where you’re seated you may always end up with the servers only having a few cuts left. Meaning by the time they reach you they don’t have anymore. This was annoying. I wanted to try each cut of meat available but had to wait far too long at times. The overall experience is nice but honestly Chima (same type of restaurant in center city as well) was way better. Chima’s salad bar items are labeled and no matter where you’re seated you don’t have to wait long to be served the various meat options.

QAs always very high quality cuts of various kinds of meat prepared to perfection sliced at your table at whatever doneness you prefer. The servers are friendly, very attentive, and helpful. The style of service is unique and fun. The salad bar is to die for. Could easily be a meal in itself and in fact you can choose that option. I have never done that as I don't have the restraint to forego the meats. The only problem with the salad bar is not eating too much of the sumptuously prepared food so you still have room for the meat entrees. The quality and preparation of all the food is excellent and consistent from visit to visit. A great and fun place to celebrate a special occasion or take your spouse or date for a wonderful meal and a very enjoyable time.

The food was good, but not phenomenal. Payed $62 and the worst part was they stoped serving us meats. They kept giving bread and the sides but no meat and my colleagues and I felt judged for being on business. Anyways another thing I noticed was they did not pay attention to what cook of meat we asked for. The meat cutting man was already cutting out peice before even asking what cook we wanted. Our business went well and hopefully the meeting will Be plentiful for our company but from now on we will be doing it at a different restaurant who does not judge their customers so hard.

I was pleasantly surprised when I attended as part of a work-group celebration. Why was this meat-heavy restaurant chosen when we have vegetarians/vegans attending? Yes there are many meat options, however the salad and other fixings bar is amazing!

Greatest meat restaurant. Open charcoal fire roasted filet mignon, Top tenderloin, bottom tenderloin. And if you like salads, the buffet is mindblowing. Take your creditcard with you ;-)

What I love about Fogo Philly can't really be expressed in a review. When you're in the building and you feel the buzz of the atmosphere you'll understand. I've been having an annual event at this location for 4 years now. There are plenty of Brazilian steakhouses in the world, and many of them have a variety of reasons to better or worse than their "competition". However, Fogo Philly wins time and time again in my book due to the welcoming demeanor of the staff, the cleanliness of the location, and the responsiveness of everyone supporting their tables. Additionally their Group Sales Coordinator, Vanessa is a pleasure to work with and thinks of quite literally everything that may come up throughout the evening when preparing your event. Whether you're out for a date night, small party, or large group, I'd recommend you give them a shot!

This was the 1st time we dined at this restaurant. We were warmly greeted & seated immediately. We had made a reservation, in advance; even for a Wednesday night. The concept was explained to us. We placed our drink order & went to explore the salad bar. As others have stated, the salad bar is phenomenal. Then, we started enjoying all the different types & cuts of meat. Again, the selection is extensive & varied. Everything was delicious & succulent. But, the servers bombard you from the left AND the right. Personally, I felt as if this approach took away from the enjoyment of my meal. If you are a BIG meat-eater, you should definitely experience this unique restaurant. If you are not a big meat-eater, you can make a meal out of the salad bar, alone.

The food was very cold the salad bar had caprese salad with NO balsamic vinaigrette. Caesar salad was soaked in dressing Chicken came around 5 out of the 8 times. Chicken was dry. Lamb was fatty I was soooo disappointed. My server never asked if we needed anything. It was just a whole mess. The bathroom was dirty toilet paper I every toilet. The paper towel holders was empty. But the bathroom worker was taking plenty of selfies. Smfh

Went with a large group for dinner and it was fantastic food and service was magnificent. If you like meat or just a great salad bar this is a great place for you

Great dining experience in a busy buzzy restaurant with friendly staff Worth a visit, especially if you are a meat lover.

The first thing that truly caught my attention was the restaurant space itself. Believe the space was a bank in previous life. Food obviously was very good with selections of meat and more meats. As in any Brazilian buffet, flip the cards to let your servers know whether to keep coming to you with different choices. The service was great at this location. I’d say much better than the nyc location. Additionally, not 100% positive but was this the restaurant where Bruce Willis meeting his wife in the sixth sense???

Happy hour at fogo de chão brazilian steakhouse on chestnut street is amazing !! Truly hidden gem.. drinks and foods are on point. You better hope Damian is the bartender. He’s true mixologist..

went with some friends for the first time wow could not believe how great it was service amazing food amazing I think I died and went to heaven

We visited during Restaurant Week, which meant the restaurant was extremely busy. Despite that, the entire staff was very attentive and the servers circulated to every corner of each room. Water was refilled quickly, sides were replaced before you had a chance to miss them, and as soon as you were ready for meat a server was stopping at your table. Chef Michael was especially helpful, stopping by to check if there was any meat we missed and going to bring us the type we requested. Highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and the service. We will return.

For our 39th anniversary, my wife and I were celebrating in Philadelphia. We decided to try Fogo de Chao. In early May, at 7pm on a Sunday night, the place was very full, including a wedding party taking up two large tables. We had plenty to choose from, and I particularly liked the filet mignon and the picanha, which is the prime part of the top sirloin. The waiters came around frequently with different cuts of meat. Overall, the meats ranged from good to excellent. While the base dinner price is a little on the high side, the restaurant also offered some very reasonable and drinkable wines, and they also provided us with a free dessert, which was still large for two people, along with tasting like a little piece of heaven. Your dinner does come with a very diverse salad bar, along with a few sides like rice, mashed potatoes, and an excellent tomato bisque soup. My wife and I truly enjoyed the dinner experience.

We had an excellent dinner in this Brazilian restaurant: very abundant and tasty buffet, meat served directly at the table hot. The desserts are also excellent. We spent $62, and left very satisfied! We also recommend for group dinners, the service was quick and efficient!

So hard to decide what meat I loved the best at this wonderful establishment! But the service was prompt and the delicious cuts of meat, especially the lamb chops and garlic sirloin, made me regret digging into the salad bar! I should've waited along with the family style veggies delivered to our table. All in all, a great food festival awaits at a more than fair price.

We were at this restaurant for Thanksgiving lunch. Great salad bar! In honor of the holiday, pumpkin soup and delicious turkey were served. The meat was delivered regularly, and even came up if your token was lying on the red side to clarify, if you would like to try it again 🙂 Of course, the price is a little expensive, but if you can eat a lot - you won't waste your money! The waiters are great, the service is too! The car will be taken from you and then returned, you do not even need to think about parking. I liked everything very much.

We have visited this place several times over the last few years. If you like red meat done to perfection you will not be disappointed. Our last visit happened to be for lunch. The place was more than one half empty and the experience missed the atmosphere of the loud crowd enjoying too much of everything (eat as much as you wish is the prevailing custom here.) The vegetable at the bar were not as good as we remember and some fruits (kiwi) so hard that was impossible to bite. More supervision in choices of fruit and veggie is very much needed.

I rarely give a five star review but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Nice atmosphere, great service, absolutely wonderful salad bar with soups, fresh cheeses, different meats, figs, fruit, olives, marinated food, breads, apple salad, chicken salad and I could go on and on just with the salad bar. I’m not much on buffets but it was just the salad bar and soups but then came the meat! Several waiters were coming around the restaurant with large skewers of meat that were absolutely delicious. They would ask you how you liked your meat and then slice off a portion for you. There was so many different kinds of meat that we had to pace ourselves and never felt rushed. They had prime rib, filet mignon, rib eye, lamb with mint jelly, picanha a braziallian marinated steak that was absolutely wonderful, chicken, sausages, pork tenderloin so moist it melted in your mouth, pineapple pork chops, ribs that were dry rubbed and delicious. Can you say “meat coma” so many delicious meats prepared extremely well. Vegans and vegetarians this place is not for you but I can tell you we all enjoyed everything we had and couldn’t even try everything bc we were so full. They also gave us mashed potatoes, polenta and charred bananas that were very good and what I would call a Yorkshire popover. This all came at one price of $52 per person but rest assure that it was very well worth it. Service was very attentive. I also had one of their house special drinks that was the mango habanero drinks with muddled fruit and a nice kick with the pepper. We willdefinitely be returning. Excellent experience and I rarely give a five star rating but this was worth it. The only thing I could have complained about was the women’s rest room was a mess but before I left they were already in there and cleaning up...shame on the woman that left it so messy. But even with that they were right in there cleaning up. Well done! Can’t wait to return! Nice job all around from start to finish!

The food was good, I really enjoy the salad bar, so many wonderful selections. We had a great time and the servers were friendly. I will definitely go again.

What a wonderful dinner! Bring your appetite and your camera, because you will need to stay a while to sample all of the ambience, great customer service, chefs service and the food. From the start, the wait staff take care of your every request and the service is second to none. The class and style of this restaurant is phenomenal from door to door. The food from the appetizer to the desert and coffee is well worth making the trip down town to experience greatness!

The food was absolutely delicious. There was something for everyone. Their salad bar experience was amazing. the only thing they need to work on is drink pricing. The drinks are way overpriced. The food is expensive enough (although worth every penny) but when you add on drinks, the check becomes super inflated.

Would highly recommend Fogo de Chau. The service is really good and the staff are all really friendly and helpful, and they bring you unlimited sides. The cold sides/salad bar has quite a few options and all are delicious (so be careful not to just fill up on sides!) The meats are carved beside you, and the waiters walk around with different selection of meat that you can choose from, which are delicious and are high quality, and you can eat as much as you want. The restaurant is usually quite busy, so would recommend booking in advance.

A Brazilian steakhouse where circulating waiters on foot bring long skewers of various cuts of meat to your table, Fogo de Chao offers a unique experience for the avid red-meat eater. Even better, there is a first-class salad bar that will please the vegetarian in your group. If you have never been, the experience can be amazing. If you are management and reading this, three criticisms follow. The salad bar was in mild-to-moderate disarray and could be bettermaintained. The broccoli in particular, was soggy, bland and just the worst. Y'all need a better way to present the broccoli. We (table of 6) often felt ignored by the waiters. We often had to resort to waving our green chips in the air to attract the staff. Way too much salt on the meat. Stop salting so much and let the customers add what they want. Personally, I want none. While I enjoyed the dinner, my brother, who has been a passionate customer for >10 years said he would never return.

Absolutely terrible place! Food is mediocre. Not tasteful. At one point they stop bringing the food. They didn’t offer us some of the dishes and we had to ask for them. Place was way over crowded and not following the state guidelines for limited indoor seating. Very disappointed with the waiters and food. Never going there again.

Went tonight for dinner with my boyfriend as it’s one of his favorite places. I don’t eat meat (just seafood) so i had never been there before. My salmon was cooked perfectly and the grilled lemon was a nice touch. There were so many great things on the market table though that I could’ve just filled up there! Quinoa salad, Cesar, fresh mozzarella, smoked salmon, green beans, olives, oh my! Of course, my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the meat selection that kept on coming to our table. I’ve never seen him eat so many lamb chops! Definitely a unique experience everyone should try.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. I feel like we were seated at a punishment table. It took so long for us to get service that we had to get up and find someone to send people over. The salad bar wasn't that great and the choice of side of verrrry limited. I guess you get what you pay for and we didn't get a lot nor was the service good. I will stick to the 5 star restaurants where the food is worth the money and the service is outstanding.

Very nice restaurant with good meat and a delicious vegetable table. Good service. A bit loud and people walking around all the time. Not a very calm and relaxing atmosphere.

The menu is fixed, you have a big buffet for salads, vegetables, soup, rice, cheese and ham... Lot of things that you can take all the time in quantity. The meat is bring to your table express from the grill, there are about 20 kinds of meat; chicken, beef, lamb etc Well cook and high quality, they stop when you turn your ticket on red! So the price is right if you eat and taste a lot, otherwise it could be a bit expensive. The service is good but sometimes too fast and the Hall is nice but not extremely elegant. In conclusion, good food for a fixed price in Philly is an alternative to a classic steak house.

Went with a large group. Huge beautiful area but did fill up quickly. I was a little hesitant as I am not a vegetarian but not a big meat eater. Was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful and vast offering of salad bar and hot bar was a meal in itself. All thr meat was excellent served to temperature in reasonable amounts. Great for a group looking for variety. All the staff we encountered were more than friendly and provided outstanding service.

For steak house lovers and specifically brazilians that's a good one! We can say the #1 in Philly as for quality quantity taste and variety. Salad bar and Caipirinha top class. Service very good, of course... overall not cheap but that's worth doing it!

Brazilian churrascaria with attentive and kind staff. Caring in serving. The complete menu is recommended where they bring everything until you are full. The idea of the paper disc on the table is nice. If you turn it to green the waiters continue to bring meat and if you turn it to red because you are full they jump. Highly recommended

I had a dinner with my son, me and him in the night had stomach ache. The prices are so high and in half an hour they bring you every thing to let you be fully in quick time. I’ll never come back and with anyone I’ll do bad reviews of it.

When my nephew and his girlfriend came to Philadelphia from Oregon, we all decided to meet at this restaurant only a few blocks from their hotel. The meat was delicious, although I can not envision a human being eating all the meat offered. The salmon dinner was delicious as attested to by his girlfriend. Finally, the creme brulee, key lime pie, and tres leches really topped off our family gathering. Hats off to Lamar our competent server.

This is a great place to eat. Atmosphere is fun and lively. Food was fantastic and service was superb. The price is a shock at first, but considering the quality and it’s all you can eat, it’s worth it for me.

I went to dinner with my fiancé yesterday and for the FIRST time, I found out they cook the shrimp cocktail!! Luis told me!! Luis was AMAZING and we loved his spirit. He was funny, sweet and courteous. Let’s not forget Alma who also made my fiancé a BOMB drink. We love Fogo and yesterday was like a brand new experience. If you can, request LUIS and ALMA!

I have eaten in this fantastic restaurant with my colleagues a couple of times when in town on business and I can not praise it enough. The salad bar is phenomenal the choice and availability of the meats can not be faulted and the staff are polite, very helpful and extremely pleasant. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

I am going to write two separate reviews. One is for the Philadelphia location and the other is about the Brazilian Steakhouse experience in itself and how to make it most cost-effective for you. Let me start with the Philadelphia location as I have been to quite a few Fogo de Chao restaurants across the country. They are generally all very good and I really enjoyed my dining experience during our visit to Philadelphia. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles from the two pretty ladies at the front desk. We had a reservation and were immediately taken to a table all the way in the back corner. This concerned me a bit because I knew, quite possibly, the servers would miss us. Fortunately, this did not turn out to be the case. The one negative thing I can say about the entire dining experience (outside of the escalating cost at $61 per person) is all the upselling that goes on. You have this woman walking around from table to table after ordering (and while you are eating your meal) asking if you want to upgrade to Shrimp Cocktail or a Mojito cocktail. It's really annoying and I am surprised that Fogo de Chao has lowered itself to having the dining experience interrupted with sales pitches like these. The restaurant is making a mint over the $61 they charge per person in Philadelphia (I read it's $71 in NYC) and they still need to have waitresses pushing customers during their meal to spend more money?!. I hope they knock this practice off. Getting back to the positives, even when my girlfriend and I finished our meal and headed out the door, we must have passed a half dozen staff members who all wished us a good night. So, kudos to the staff there who were very friendly. Now...for those of you who have never eaten at one of these establishments. You are going to spend upwards of $60 to $70 per person for an all-inclusive meal that includes all the meat you can eat plus a salad bar and additional fixings that come to your table. Of course, the biggest cost to Fogo de Chao is the meat. It really seems that they go out of their way to include other food in the price hoping that fills you up and you consume less meat in the long run. Take my GF for example This was her first time here. She started (as everyone does) with the salad bar. I warned her not to overfill her plate if she wants to enjoy the meat. She was entranced by all the great items on the salad bar and in no time had a heaping plate of food. By the time the meat came around, she only had 3 offerings and couldn't eat any further. So, what happened is she basically had the salad bar as a meal and a few pieces of meat which can be a very expensive proposition. I didn't mind paying for the CHURRASCO EXPERIENCE, but she could just have easily been satisfied with the salad bar and not even gone with the meat as she ate so little of it. And on top of the salad bar, you get small side dishes brought to your table. Again, as well-intentioned all of it is, I tend to think it's an effort to fill customers up and save on meat costs. Awful thing to say, but that's the way I look at it. The meal was excellent. It's definitely a dining experience I would highly recommend everyone try once. The place was very clean and the service was excellent. We had no issues with our back corner table and getting servers to bring meat. They gave us their utmost attention. Highly recommended!

We had the all you can eat option on the evening of March 12. There was a good variety of meats available and a good spread of salads to choose from. The servers came around to replenish our plates quite often although sometimes they would just waltz past our table even though our cards were turned green. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful as was his manager (I assume). The manager/supervisor took his time to speak to us about their amazing yuca flour bread rolls and even packed us some to take home with us. The only downside occurred when we first walked in to the restaurant. The lady who was supposed to seat us was rather cold and unfriendly and I thought the evening would be unpleasant. Thankfully the rest of the evening went well.

Wowwww. What an absolutely lovely surprise. We travel coast to coast. And fine dining restaurant service, since Covid, really sucks. It’s like staff don’t care any more. Well, not here! From the moment we walked in they bent over backwards to make sure our evening was beyond perfection. Claudia, our server, was most gracious & proactive without being over bearing. What a jewel. We have visited many Fogo de Chaos across this nation. This one is now our favorite. Because of their service. Their meats were perfect. As was their buffet bar. We even ordered dessert. Their Chocolate Brigadero. Honestly, I think this tops my list of favorite desserts! The most delicious rich truffled chocolate with to die for chocolate ganache. Oh my goodness I want another one! Well, we have Claudia to thank for recommending this!

An upscale yet casual Brazilian steakhouse, with all you can eat meat selections, all delicious. The service and food were excellent.

We went to this place based on the reviews. As matter fact-we didn’t like it as much as we expected. It was very crowded. Some meat like pineapple pork was great and delicious. But we were not really impressed in general. Wine is very expensive though. Salad bar has a great selection. But after eating from a salad bar there is no much space for trying all kinds of meat in a stomach. Service is great. Their homemade bread is delicious.

We were in town for a conference and I was so happy to see there was a Fogo close to the Convention Center. I took some clients and Fogo provided an amazing experience for me and my clients.

Great food, good service. We received a good service from friendly waiters. The staffs can explain the meat and asks us every time about ‘how would we like the meat cooked’. May be we got a lucky day. I wish I could come back to the restaurant and receive the same atmosphere every time.

My friends and I went out for a birthday and we received the most excellent service. Not only through prompt delivery of meats but also with a welcoming and friendly smile from all of the staff. Well informed and even inspirational. The staff went above and beyond. Especially Chef Mike, who is a staple of FOGO and an absolute legend. Will be back Highly recommend
Amazing experience
The location is very elegant, it was one of the first indoor dining experience after the lock down and I appreciate the safety measure that have been adopted in the restaurant. The staff took a great care of us and was very kind and professional, the service was excellent. We had the "FOGO Churrasco Experience" and the meat was amazing, cooked to perfection and very tasty. I'm looking forward to get back to Philadelphia to visit again
