Really enjoyed this non pretentious place. Great burger and salad. Plenty of options to choose from.

I discovered this place from the Diners, Drive in’s and Dives website. The decor is so lovely. The service is top notch. The food is great. We enjoyed the Reuben and the chicken sandwich. We will definitely be back.

Always looking for eclectic places to enjoy our Saturday brunch. Folk Art came highly recommended and did not disappoint. We ordered an omelet and chicken and waffles, nothing elaborate but very well prepared and both of us felt it was near the top of breakfast fare we have had! Usually the toast or biscuit are just filler.....here they are a showcase! I could have just made a breakfast out of those...great texture and flavor! They finish them off by slightly frying them...yum. Service was fast considering how busy they were...come early...or enjoy the wait in fun communal atmosphere. Definitely a return trip coming

Just a walking distance from Little 5 Points, its a great place to eat and hang out. My son and I really like their burgers. I love the double lamb burgers. Can't go wrong here for great food. Friendly and fast staff and nice cozy atmosphere with interesting stuff on the walls.

Came here after seeing them mentioned in an article of the best brunch spots in Atlanta. As soon as I walked in the somewhat cramped space, I saw all kinds of ATL-related art and funny pics on the walls, so I knew I was at home cool. Food is legit here. I got the "Foul Play"- normally comes with sweet potato waffles, but I did the dish with sweet potato pancakes instead. The pancakes come with whiskey peach compote(i.e. yams), bourbon syrup, a whole fried chicken breast(!!) & hash browns. This stood out to me, because normally places in Atlanta use chicken thighs or 2-3 wings to pair with their "chicken & waffles like" dishes. But here you got a whole chicken boneless chicken breast. Needless to say it was amazing. Just to be a glutton, I also ordered the sweet potato beignets, which looked & tasted like the donut holes you'd get from Krispy Kreme, but healthier lol. This food is seriously good, and is relatively cheap for Atlanta brunch prices. Park on the curb on the street the restaurant is located on. Go here now!

We went here as a family after seeing it advertised on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The food was excellent. Steak kabobs, excellent with huge salad, Meatball burger was very good, Steak Sandwich very good, First time we tried fried green tomatoes, they were excellent. Service was prompt and our server eas friendly. The Chocolate/Peanut butter pie was to die for.

I had an Apple Bacon Lettuce Tomato sandwich.I thought it was very good. The accompanying fries were run-of-the-mill and the service was indifferent.I think if you call yourself " Folk Art" there should be a whole lot of folk art on the walls. There was some but seems like there could have been more.Don't go for the atmosphere...go for the meal.

This little hole in the wall is a must for breakfast! The waffles were amazing. The booties bring you back in time! The drinks were different. We had the carrot juice, apple juice mixture! They served the drinks in mason jars. The service was great. The place was packed but the owner has his staff well trained! We took pictures outside. They have a few seats in front and the side has a painted wall.

Brunch on Memorial Day...they don’t take reservations but it is WELL worth the experience. Cool vibe, great place...AWESOME food! Guy Fieri featured Folk Art on his show “Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives”...this would have been a favorite of Anthony Bourdain’s. Check it out!

The food is terrific and the service good. Here's my tip:. Not a good place for parties larger than four people. The tables are bolted to the floor. The largest table top is four chairs, so if your group is larger than four, plan on splitting up. We had seven adults and ended up sitting near each other but not great for conversation.

My daughter and I ate at Folk Art on a Saturday night. It is in a nice part of Midtown Atlanta with free valet parking in a lot adjacent to the building. The crowd was very light and we walked in a grabbed a spot by the window without any waiting. Our server was very friendly and efficient. I had a salad and my daughter had pancakes since they serve breakfast all day. The restaurant is very kid friendly and provides a coloring sheet and crayons. We had a very nice relaxing experience and would definitely return to Folk Art in the future.

This place is amazing!! I can’t say enough good things about it. Our waiter was honestly the best waiter I have ever had and the FOOD WOW!!! This place is a hidden gem for sure you will love every minute here and the employees!!

Went to visit a friend in Atlanta and just picked a place close on the map to us. This place was hopping! Super busy! Loved that it had complimentary valet as it would have been a minute to figure out parking otherwise. There was a wait of 45min-1hr when we got there, for being packed and not a huge place, I was fine with waiting. Had some amazing drinks to make the time pass by. Tried their bloody Mary and Peppered Pink cocktail- amazing! Once we got sat for food I was excited for the waffles I'd seen going past. Ordered sweet potato beignets to start. They were good but I would not call them beignets, more like hush puppies or fritters? They were a little over fried also. I wasn't into them. Ordered the Foul Play (chicken and waffles) and my friend ordered the roasted pork and chili Verde. I loved my meal! It was delicious! A good recovery to the lacking appetizer. Chicken was golden and juicy, waffle was firm and the whiskey peach compote was perfection! My friend, who enjoyed the beignets, was left wanting more from his meal. It was a rather small portion of food, two eggs which were ordered over easy came borderline over hard and the "chili Verde" was rather bland and fell short of a true chili. I'm from Colorado, and in the SW, we take our Green chili seriously, so I may be bias on that bit. Place had a pretty decent cup of Joe which I would have loved to enjoy more of, except the only thing lacking more than the heat in the Chili Verde, was our server! Horrible service once we sat down. Our waitress came by all of 3 times the entire time we were there, for drink order, meal order/drink drop off, meal drop off/check drop off. I never got a booze refill, coffee refill, water refill, nothing. Also didn't get a set of silverware till I flagged down a food runner. I feel like this place let's it's good Zagat rating go to its head. This place is overpriced for the service and food you get. Drinks are great though! Which is suiting as you will need plenty of them to deal with the poor service!

Visiting a relative in the hospital in Atlanta, we were looking for a place to grab an early lunch. It's tucked away in a residential area on a quiet street alongside several other interesting looking restaurants. The interior decor is rustic and still retains its charm from yesteryear. It's not a very big place, but big enough that it doesn't feel cramped. We were too early for lunch, which was disappointing, but the breakfast menu didn't disappoint at all. I had the Roast Pork & Chili Verde with hash browns. My wife had the Chicken and Waffles (sweet potato waffles) with Peach Compote and a side of hash browns as well. The food was very good. While I loved my pork and chili I was blown away by the hash browns. I'd added cheese, jalapenos and green chilis, but the hash browns themselves were perfectly done. They had the right amount of softness and crispiness. I don't know what they were fried/sauteed in, but it was so mild and let the flavor of all the ingredients come through. The best hash browns I've ever tasted. The service was good and the place was relatively quiet - it was not busy at 10:45am on a Friday. I hope to return and sample some items from the lunch menu sometime in the future. We really enjoyed ourselves here. There is a parking lot next door to the group of restaurants on that street which services all of those businesses.

Went here for lunch. Service was excellent, gracious and efficient. Great menu with lots of southern favs with a bit of a hipster vibe. Chicken and biscuits were excellent as was the mufaletta. Good beer selection with the standard IPA's. Solid lunch in a homey and fun atmosphere.

Don't blink or you would miss it. Nestled in a little storefront row is one of the best breakfasts ever!!!! Went on a Saturday for brunch and was greeted with complementary valet parking and about 20 minute wait but we probably would have waited double! The food and atmosphere were fabulous. The grits were on point along with the Folk Art platter I think it was called. Biscuit, chicken, gravy and tons of goodness. A must do if you are looking for a local place!

We stopped in for an early dinner, and I was a little skeptical when there weren’t any customers. However, our food was amazing and we were doted on by the servers. I had the banana nut foster French toast and my daughter had the southern fried chicken with eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy. If you’re looking for comfort food, this is your place.

Best grilled cheese and tomato soup and I don't even like tomato soup. The redneck cheese dip and I dream of weenie is a great start to the meal. Was totally worth the wait to get in!

I had breakfast today at the new Decatur location. When reviewing, I start out expecting the best breakfast and give points off for transgressions. Of course I judge a restaurant against other comparably priced restaurants. I would judge a $5 meal differently than a $15 one. This was a $15+ breakfast. So, points off because the meal wasn’t gourmet enough, refined enough or good enough quality for the price. I ordered a pretty easy, straightforward meal because I wanted to compare with other like breakfasts I could get in the area. An omelette with gruyere, spinach and mushrooms; hashbrowns; a bagel; English Breakfast tea was the order. Points off for the tea - no teapot full of steaming water with a humidor of tea for the choosing - instead a cup half full of water that had a hint of coffee taste and an Earl Grey teabag already placed in the cup. At least it was a good brand of tea - Mighty Leaf. Points off for the jelly - not a jam pot or an individual serving of good-quality or house-made jam - instead plastic packs of Smuckers mixed fruit jelly—boo, hiss. Bagel - a bit gummy almost as if it had been zapped. Hashbrowns - frozen food quality. Omelette was fine and had adequate fillings. Although the food took awhile in the coming, my plate looked hurriedly assembled, or I should say “slung” on the plate. The diner-style place is clean and bright, but LOUD with tile floors and uncomfortable picnic-table style booths. $3.00 parking. They do have an appealing menu and some specialty items that looked good as I saw the plates full of fried chicken/biscuits/gravy and various varieties of Eggs Benedict go by. Maybe I’ll give it another try and bring my own jam.

After a mixed up schedule, we found ourselves with a little extra time for brunch and came across Folk Art on the local map app. What a wonderful find, the sweet potato pancakes are as sweet as they sound, especially when topped with fresh pecans and drizzled with a sugar glaze. The atmosphere is cozy and fun. The staff were friendly and efficient. If you find yourself in this hip neighborhood don't hesitate to drop in for breakfast or lunch!

Just go it's fabulous! We left One Eared Buck because no substitutions, Fox Bros was crazy wait 3rd time was the charm at Folk Art!

I’m such a fan of Food Network Diners, Drives and drive-ins and this spot, Folk Art was featured. The selection of over the top burgers was so good. Portions were huge. Make sure you have plenty of room in your belly. We had their pork shoulder and collard green sandwich, Guy’s Triple D burger and Fish.

Good brunch. Drink specials available. Kids menu had a lot of options. Small restaurant but wait was not too long.

Came for a late breakfast. Had about a 15-minuge wait. We got the mac & cheese balls, which were good. For entrees, I had the patty melt with hashbrowns, and a sweet potato waffle on the side. It was delicious as usual. My wife had the steak and eggs, with a side of french toast. The food was good, but she asked for the steak to be cooked medium-well, and it was cooked medium-rare. Drinks were just okay, but service was prompt.

My daughter and I had the best Chicken and Waffles and Eggs Benedict of our lives. I regret we don’t live in Atlanta and may never have the chance to go back because this place is truly fantastic in every way.

Rain, snow, sleet or hail does not keep mailtrucks or foodies from getting the job done ✅ my daughter is graduating in May from Auburn University and moving to Houston to begin a new chapter in her life~being a big girl with her very own paycheck 👛! She has a bucket list for restaurants here in the big ATL before she leaves in June. Today we checked one off even though our weather here was daunting⛈. Folk Art is fabulous ~ and Triple D approved ~ not that they need Guy Fieri to give them the "out of bounds" approval. Cozy yet open, you will love their open air seating literally like eating on the sidewalk but covered ~ cozied up in an eclectic neighborhood in ATL. Service was great ~ food was amazing ~ somebody in your group needs to order the Mac and Cheese ~ we ordered our own meals but shared ~ we couldn't decide 🤔but one decision we made was thus restaurant is in point ☝️

Can't believe it has been so long since we have eaten here. Shame on us. This place is wonderful. Have been here now twice in the last 6 weeks. Each visit was as great as the one before. First visit we had the Pimento Cheese with crackers and the Cheeseburger with Cheddar Cheese. My oh my. Both of these were some of the best in the city. The burger is huge. Perfectly cooked to exactly what we asked for - well but not dry. It was as moist as one could expect. On our second visit we again had the pimento cheese and crackers and this time split a BLAT sandwich. Another huge sandwich. And equally as good as the burger. On both visits we picked the fries. Let me tell you how good they are. The type one can't stop eating even when full. Atmosphere is great. Small place but packs them in. Recommend dining here during the week. As weekends are slammed. Service is great and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend. Think I am going to have to go again this week!!!

I came here because I thought that they might have interesting and unusual dishes. Most of the menU did not look as interesting as I expected, but there was an unusual beet Burger on the menu so I decided to try it. I did not have high hopes I thought it would be sweet and not filling but it was Savory and filling. if I had to guess, it was really a garden Burger made with Quinoa with some beets to make it purple and was pan-fried and probably had paprika in it. It had alfalfa and firm avocado that did not overpower the taste. I also had the avocado and cucumber salad which was a sweet salad like Thai or Korean cucumber salad. overall the meal was excellent and fulfilling. when I went the parking lot was quite empty so it was a bit annoying that valet parking was required. they clearly wanted gratuity but I did not feel like giving them any gratuity for that service since I did not really benefit from it or want It. the valet were okay but I would have liked it if they were more customer friendly oriented rather than speed oriented. in any case, they are guaranteed minimum wage per pay period so I just did not tip them since they did not really benefit me and I did not feel like I got something worth more than minimum wage from their service

If you're looking for chicken and waffles in Atlanta, THIS is the place to go!!! (Trust me, I'm a chicken and waffles aficionado -- and I went here for my birthday, so stakes were HIGH.) They call it the "foul play" -- the waffle was perfect, the chicken was moist and delicious, and they add a whiskey peach compote, which gives it their own unique spin, and also what's not to love about whiskey and peaches!? Also treat yo'self to their sweet potato beignet and have the most mind blowing breakfast ever.

My husband and I enjoyed wonderful vegetarian breakfast dishes and cocktails here. We both had omelets with choose your own fixings. I had grits and that was a winning pick. Oh wow!!! The cocktails were tasty, too. We had a Bloody Mary and a Strawberry Fields. All great and worth a wait for seats.

This was my first visit to Folk Art in a few years and I now remember why I quit going. The music is so loud that it makes it hard to have a conversation. I've never understood restaurants that blast the music so loudly. I asked our server if she could turn it down a bit, and she said she would but she didn't. The food was good but nothing special.

One of the best meals we had in Atlanta. The grits fritters were a great appetizer, and the breakfast plates were hearty and well-seasoned. I had the classic breakfast, and it was more than enough. Be sure to ask for the homemade strawberry or peach jelly if you order toast — both are delicious. Even my dad, who’s hard to impress, loved it!

The food here is excellent; the star of the restaurant. The parking is plentiful. But be forewarned. An 18% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. If you like to independently assess the quality of your service, this won't make you happy. Second warning. The food is charged a la carte. The Eggs Benedict, costing $13.99, was delicious, but that's all you get for almost $14. Potatoes or grits will cost you extra. Last warning, and this is only for solo diners, as I am frequently. Solo diners will be directed to a few tables along a wall, with a nice view of the hallway leading to the restrooms. The booths are not for you. Actually, there is another warning. No paper or plastic menus here, even if you ask for one. You have to scan a QR code that's on the table. I do have a smartphone, but it didn't work. The server was nice enough to get an older paper menu but it had outdated prices. It seems that a restaurant should be more inclusive and keep their paper/plastic menus handy.

Went to Folk Art on a friend’s recommendation. Food was plentiful & tasty . Loved the atmosphere ~ very laid back & cozy . I had the ABLT - Apple Bacon BLT ... yummy ; my older daughter had the Bananas Foster French Toast , it was decadent .... and youngest daughter went with a side of Mac & Cheese & fries ! Kid friendly , family friendly .

Grabbed my daughter from Tech and headed down on a Sunday morning for breakfast. About a 7 min drive from Tech . Folk art had a line of people waiting for s table, but the wait was worth it. Valeted the car and waited about 30 minutes and that had a savory meal. The pictures are of eggs Benedict, bananas foster pancakes and omelette. All three were great- cost approx $40 for the 3 of us. Will be back

Plentiful in veggie and fish options. The fries are amazing. They have burger options. Will try the bahn mi sandwich next time as well as seafood if I have more money.

the food is always great, kind personal, cozy place. i was there for lunch, brunch, dinner...always is great

Hadn’t been in years but met a colleague for a business lunch. I’d forgotten how much they have in the menu, even though a bit pricey if it’s coming out of your own wallet! Still, I went basic, ordering the burger. It and the fries were very good, though will say I’m glad I ordered it well done because it still came a bit pink. I ate anyway & all was fine but be sure to consider that if you’re sensitive to needing hamburger fully cooked. Service was friendly & adequate and the place has quaint decor befitting its name. I hope to go again soon to try some of the other items.

We stopped here as soon as we got in town and chose it based upon TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed!! My husband had the southern fried...a southern style biscuit, fired chicken, egg (whatever style you want) with sausage gravy all over. He said it was the best breakfast he ever had! I struggled to decide between the chicken and waffles or fried chicken sandwich. I opted against the waffles because they were not regular waffles. I made the right choice...best chicken sandwich I have ever eaten! The chicken was tender with pickles that complemented the chicken perfectly. The big winner was what I was the most concerned about...the collard green cole slaw, wow! Come for the uniqueness...come back for the food. I sure wish we had something like this in my hometown. Too bad there isnt more seating. We got there at 9:30 on a Saturday. 10 minutes later, there were 30 people in line.

breakfast has always been good here. but i tried the Triple D burger for the first time recently. the meatballs were dry and the marinara sauce was repeating on me for hours afterward, leaving a bad aftertaste. i also had a bloody mary but it wasn't worth the money. i've had others elsewhere that were much better and for less money.

This place was featured on Diner Drive In and Dives! It is a real fun atmosphere in a cute part of town. The BLT was delicious as well as the omlettes and mexican breakfast dish. I might pass on the beet burger, although it was beautiful, it truly needed some seasoning...little bland. Have a blood mary too...wow ! One of the best! This is a must eat place, don't sweat the wait, grab a couple bloodys and enjoy!

Folk art is a great spot for breakfast. Their servers are great, the place is designed in a cool vintage manner and the Chicken and Waffles MY GOD.

Enjoyed a great breakfast in a funky, fun atmosphere! Huge biscuits with homemade jam. Delicious French Toast. Great coffee, Quick service.

Have had brunch here the last couple of trips to Atlanta. Service is great. Wait isn't long if you get there before 11am and now they help you park the car - that was really needed cause this place gets so packed. Need to go back for dinner. Cash or card accepted. Get the beignets.

We stopped here while in ATL after searching for a good breakfast spot and seeing over 2k reviews and 4.5 stars. Babe they did not disappoint, I had the shrimp and grits and hubby had The Complete, grits have corn in it and when I tell you different and sooooo good. Please try and ask for Brittany she is so beautiful and great waitress.

I along with four others ate here last weekend. The food was plentiful and fantastic. I had the fish and shrimp and thoroughly enjoyed it and the cole slaw. The mac-n-cheese was just okay, as well as the fried pickles. I'm definitely coming back to try the breakfast and one of the burgers. My friends were seated at a booth and I pulled up a chair, not because it was crowded but because we could not pull two tables together. Why they sat a couple next to us (behind me) was beyond me because their waitress kept interrupting me to pass even when she could have walked in another direction to serve them. The place was not crowded at all, but you would have thought it was because she kept squeezing between my chair and their table.

Came on a Sunday morning and got here around 9:45. Didn't have a wait, but by the time we were finished there was a lengthy wait outside. The brunch menu contains a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items. Was hard for me to choose which direction to go, but decided to try some Eggs Benedict. I'm sure I'll be back soon to try some of their sandwiches which sounded like a can't miss choice. Would be fun to pair a brunch here with a post-brunch walk on the Beltline.

Absolutely the WORST service EVER!!! My family and I waited 10 minutes to get seated. I finally went to the back to ask for a seat. After another 10 minutes we finally got TOLD to go take the seat over there, they pointed to a table. Starving and excited to try a restaurant where diners drive in and dives a has been ~ we reluctantly went and sat at said table because the ambiance was anything but welcoming. We sat at the table for another 15 minutes without being asked for a drink order or anything. After 20 minutes of being totally ignored we got up and left. I should mention that while waiting to get seated we saw a guy from the back pour a decent amount of liquor into a mug and drink it..... staff eating at the back counter ~ waitresses sitting at tables just chilling~ all the while we are still standing waiting for a seat. Multiple empty tables abound. I wouldn’t give this establishment a dime and I’m sure sorry to have given even a second if my time to trying this place out! Terrible customer service but can’t say a word about the food.

My favorite spot in Atlanta for breakfast and an excellent lunch as well. I haven't seen a menu item that didn't look really good. They have everything from fried chicken and biscuits to huevos rancheros and tofu scrambles... All in a retro diner championing the "folk art" you might see in any old diner, except it's in a renovated, clean, new age diner setting. Really cool spot. You need to be prepared for lines on the weekends so either get there early or be ready to hang out. It's not a great spot for parties larger than 4 just based on table sizes. Pairs can get in fairly easily. The food is excellent and well worth it.

I first saw this place on the Food Channel and Triple DDD. So of course I had to go find out what the fuss was all about. I cannot tell you how many times I have been to this culinary treasure. I have not had one dish that I did not like. The food is top notch, the service is always on point, and if you like Bloody Mary's, then you must try one here. The only drawback is that the restaurant is small,(it's in an old grocery store from the 30's) and you will have to wait to be seated. The parking is available up the street at a valet lot for three of the restaurants located in the same block. It is so worth the wait though, so don't let that stop you from experiencing the great eats here! See you there!

Today the wait was not long at all. The food was good and the service was great. Thanks and I will be back.

Very adventurous menu nice little building makes for a very relaxing meal. However as much as the menu is creative it lacks execution. Service was average at best meal slightly below average.

Yes, there’s a wait for Sunday brunch. Yes, it’s worth it! We ended our triple birthday celebration weekend with brunch at Folk Art. What a delicious, friendly, celebration it was. No wonder people happily pour across the sidewalks and visit amongst themselves until they can lay claim to their own plateful of fabulous food served by the friendly staff. Best Bloody Mary - ever!

Every time I have visited the food has tasted fresh and full of flavor. Each dish has been thoughtfully prepared and are appropriate portions. I love the simple twists on old standard fare. My family will continue to drop by here each visit to the ATL.

This is a great spot to grab a casual bite with friends. Parking can be a bit difficult but there is parking along the street (when you can find it) & a valet lot. Everyone in our group loved their food (we had everything from burgers to chicken to steak kabobs...) The service was good and fast. The food was plated nicely and was delicious! They serve breakfast all day as well. I had the best burger (pictures) and it was amazing!!

Sunday 11/14/2021 appx 2-3pm. Food was not even warm & Service was wait to order & then order & forget IT, waiter then walks away & never come back until flagged DOWN ! we had 4 persons in our party, & each person`s meal was delivered at different times. Will NEVER Be Back ! had 18% grat`s added, if i was tipping would have been 5% !!!!

Just a quick 5 minute drive off of 75. Stoped for lunch on our way back from Florida. Great menu, delicious food, cool decor and friendly staff made this place great! The grit fritter appetizer is addictive and the fried chicken was delicious! Many craft soda, craft beer, and craft cocktail options as well!

After checking out their menu on TripAdvisor, I took my parents to this restaurant for breakfast. Parking is ample in the back, and the dining room is pretty cool. It was mid morning on a Monday, so we were seated right away. Our waitress was not very friendly, sort of indifferent. I asked her about an item I had seen on the menu linked through TripAdvisor, and she pointed out that they still had it under a different name. I asked, “so it went from $7.99 to $12?“ She said, “Yep“. I ordered an omelette and hashbrowns instead. It wasn’t bad, but I’ve honestly had better at waffle house. My mother ordered eggs Benedict with her eggs well done. They came out barely cooked and with the yolks already running onto the plate. She asked for them to be cooked more well, and they came out barely medium the second time. My father also had an omelette that was fine, but nothing special. My folks had coffee and I had water. The bill came out to around $60, including gratuity. We normally tip 20% or more, but we didn’t appreciate gratuity being added with our party of three! We won’t be back. There are far too many better places in the Atlanta area to have breakfast or brunch.

Went here for my husband’s birthday, with two other couples. We had wonderful food and great service, and all without breaking the bank! Thank you, Folk Art, for offering good food at a reasonable price! Only recommendation: better seating for groups or large parties and a dessert menu. (I understand this place hasn’t always been open for dinner, which is likely why those accommodations weren’t available) We were all very pleased.

Had a relatively short wait on a Saturday morning at around 10am. Service was efficient and the food excellent. The fried chicken sandwich I had was very light and tasty. Breakfast items such as french toast also were very good. They have valet parking if needed but I was able to get a spot right in front on the street.

We arrived in Atlanta and stopped here for our first meal. We were there for breakfast on a Thursday morning. The vibe of tis place was comfy and inviting. My husband and I shared the chicken and waffles and the biscuit with sausage gravy. Both were tasty. I would totally go again and you should go visit too!

Arrived in Atlanta expecting to get chicken and waffles and was hesitant about trying a trendy spot. Complimentary valet in a small restaurant row ( three others). Spectacular twist to the southern favorite that was made with sweet potato batter and topped with peach compote. Service was also spectacular and the food arrived promptly. Primarily young professionals crowd, small atmosphere and just the right amount of noise. Dished surrounding me looked good also. Most people cleaned their plates. It is my new favorite place, especially with the healthy options.

Decided to check out Folk Art. Josh was our server. He was extremely slow, but polite. He gave us our meal and drinks, but never returned to see if our meal was okay, nor did he come back to refill our drinks. My gluten free burger tasted great, but the hash browns arrived cold, so I could not eat them. We finished our meal and waited 15 minutes, before asking for our check. Very disappointed.

I decided on this spot because it sounded good on the Triple D website and it wasn’t just good, it was great! Had the shrimp and grits southern meaning 2 eggs cooked to my choice (I chose over easy) over the shrimp and grits, and wonderful thick toast. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was fun, retro, and clean! I will definitely be back to this gem to try their signature dish, meatball burgers. Can’t wait!

Went there after finding it online. Following my GPS to get there, I was a little doubtful, but at the end, there it was. Went in the evening, and the server was extremely pleasant. I asked for help with what I should order and she talked me into the Southern Comfort. Shrimp, veggies, grits, topped with two eggs. It did not disappoint. My wife had a bloody mary and a salad. The bloody mary was very tasty. No one ingredient stood out, very smooth mix. Throughout the dinner, the server was attentive and so polite and happy. She seemed to really enjoy working there. Would definitely recommend you to visit there.

This restaurant is a warm and inviting gathering spot, with eclectic yet sophisticated decor. The food is equally eclectic and sophisticated, often with a healthy spin. A meal here is an adventure.

On the weekends get there right at 9 am when the place opens or you will be waiting in line. It is totally worth it. Try the chili pork verde or the the southern fried. They are both to die for. Randy the manager is a rock star.

Visit with my family and I wasn't impressed. The peach Margarita I had while waiting 50 minutes for a table of 3 was good but it was more expensive ($9 for 8 ounces) then any place I've been to while living in Atlanta. My daughter had the shrimp and grits... she rated it a 3 our of 5. I originally ordered the sweet potato beinget & they were delicious but 2 other tables received 7 on there plate and we only received 5. I also ordered (sweet potato) pancakes which were a bit dry; the folks at the table sitting next to us agreed, as they ordered pancakes too and chicken ( which wasn't seasones well). When I inquired about switching my food out I was told they don't and the waitress mentioned that it looked like I had eaten half, but I hadn't and so the manager swapped my order for the double turkey burger which was so moist and delicious. I approve that thang. The fries were just okay. Overall the experience was disturbing and I will not be back. Service lacks but hey, you win some & you loose some. Good luck

Was in town for a sat wedding and had some time to grab quick bite, usually long line to get in, but this sat was 15-20 minutes for seats at the counter. It's kinda of a metro upscale cafe with diner qualities. Now the ladies had fried green tom, and green goddess salads, and I had a BLT with not iceberg but field greens which really changed the flavor and not for the better. I saw alot of Bfast food go by, and it looked great, so did the bloody mary's/mimosa's. So its kinda a nevo diner, but good food quickly in metro setting. $44.00 plus tip, so kinda pricey for only one meal and apptz.

[A little pricey, but, Good food, and just average service] Met herefor an impromptu family gathering as my sister drove thru ATL. Complimentary valet parking was nice since the street parking was full. We were seated quickly for a party of 10 and drinks came out promptly. After drinks were served, we did not see our waitress again until we asked another employee to take our order. Drinks were not refilled until we had finished our meal. We enjoyed the Big Easy Muffuletta, A.B.L.T, omelette, grilled cheese, and chicken salads. They had a decent sized IPA menu and those were reasonably priced. If your in town it's worth the stop, but not worth going out of your way. Enjoy!

Terrible food, terrible service (complete with an eye roll from our server), and an automatic 20% tip added for only 4 adults and a child. No wonder the server didn't care; a full tip was coming no matter what. Save yourself the disappointment and head over to Folk Art in downtown Decatur. The food & service are always top notch without the eye roll!

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Atlanta. If you get there between 9 and 10 on a weekend you shouldn't have a long wait. The eggs, pancakes and biscuits and delicious!!

Excellent breakfast choices! Varied menu. Really amazing atmosphere, artsy vintage comfortable! The gravy and biscuit was good, large biscuits that were a bit dry but gravy was tasty! The pimento cheese hashbrowns were delicious! Must go back for these! Had options to have them 7 ways! Sweet potato pancakes are soft and fluffy and not too sweet! Such a fun place to meet for any meal! Parking in the back. Nice neighborhood, off the beaten path near the Jimmy Carter Library.

It won't go down as the greatest ever but it was a fun experience. My wife is gluten-free and they had many options to eat gluten-free with the gluten-free bread they offer. I had the lamb and it was good. Eclectic place with good food and service.

Hands down some of the best chicken and waffles I've ever had. The sweet potato and whiskey peach compote really set it off. Great atmosphere and the wait wasn't terrible even though they were really busy. Very efficient.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to TN. My husband is a fan of Diner, Drive-Ins & Dives on the Food Network and likes to find places that have been featured on the show when we travel. There were three of us and we did have to wait abt 30-40 mins for a table. Mainly due to the fact we were skipped over by the hostess. Seems to be a trendy place to go for the local millennials. Liked the free valet parking. Food was good but nothing too outstanding. We all had sandwiches: Bad to The Bone, Corner Store Reuben & Veggie Sandwich. Potato salad was ok but in my opinion, wasn't traditional "southern" style as listed. Most of the good reviews seem to be breakfast related so maybe we should have tried that.

The food was awesome, and the menu made it hard to order because there were so many good options! The Roasted Pork Chili Verde breakfast plate was filling and very tasty. The decor, open windows, and bright atmosphere made this a really unique stop for us in Atlanta.

Went around 4:30 on a Saturday. Plenty of parking available behind the block of stores and restaurant. Sat quickly and brought glasses of ice water. Ordered the meatball burger and lobster rolls; both with the flat-top Mac and cheese. Food didn’t take long to prepare. Burger was cooked well and very flavorful. Lobster rolls had a good amount of lobster. Neither of us were overly impressed with the Mac and cheese; not a fan of the cheese they used. Would like to return for the brunch or to try other menu items. Very “hipster” atmosphere, but family friendly.

We ladies went for breakfast during the Atlanta trip and it was all that and a bag of chips. Service was warm and welcoming, food was superior - pancakes tasted like Christmas and brown sugar, shrimp and grits were perfect comfort food after a busy weekend. Prices were reasonable. Felt like a family place and operated like one as well. Street parking or a small lot on the side, no problem to park the car. After the others went back to Chicago, I stayed a couple more days and had breakfast here again, it was that good. Also, great AC, so comfortable. Highly recommend.

This is a great place for brunch. It's a cozy place. Food is really nice and freshly made. Staff is helpful. We had cinnamon pecan sticky bun Sweet potato pancake and folk southern fried. Both were excellent. Coffee was freshly brewed. Definitely will go again for breakfast.

This restaurant is kind of a cool & divy place with an interesting selection of drinks and a fantastic southern menu. Our waitress was top notch and the food was very good. The fried grits app was super yummy. Save room for their Key Lime pie!

My daughter and I went for breakfast. We didn’t have to wait to be seated, unlike some people said in their reviews. I guess we arrived at just the right time. It is a small restaurant so you are sitting close to other people. I ordered the S’mores French toast. It was pretty good, but not anything outstanding. It was good though, and I would order it again. My daughter had the biscuits and bacon. She wanted the hash browns, but they ran out. I’m not sure how that happened since that’s one of the main items on their menu. The biscuit was big and buttery. She said it was good as well. The atmosphere was the best part. People were laughing and having a good time. The drawings and signs on the wall were fun to look at and read. The neighborhood the restaurant is located in was quaint. We will go again. Enjoyed it!

Love this restaurant. Most of the sandwiches, fried chicken, sides, and lobster roll are really good. Lot of good comfort food to choose from. We usually find it's not too crowded at night. Saturday and Sunday brunch are really crazy. It's a very quaint restaurant with cool decor.

The shrimp in my Po Boy were great! The bread was on the edge of stale and unless you are a fried pickle fan I don't recommend this dish at all. Too many fried pickles - an overwhelming addition to the dish. I had to spread my napkin out to keep my hands from sticking to the table...ick. We were there for an early dinner, and the place was just beginning to see some Friday night folks drifting in. For such a small crowd at that time of day one would expect more attentive service, but our waiter was in hiding much of the time.

They serve breakfast all day. The service was good and the food was delicious. I got the folk southern fried and it was delicious and their fries are good

After hearing about this spot? I decided to check it out. The hostess and the morning manager are a disgrace to the industry. The hostess made me stand and wait to be spiteful because I don’t want to sit at the counter. The hostess and the morning manager made a joke out of me standing around looking like a fool. After waiting forever I sat and had a very uneventful meal. Will not be going back, The waitress was nice.

Had lunch one day and breakfast the next. I had the meatball burger for lunch and my friend had the "bad to the bone", which Is a pulled pork and collard green slaw sandwich. Both were superb. The breakfast was an omelet with grits and toast. The grits were unlike most others and we're delicious. The ingredients in the omelet were really fresh, as was the special bread for toast. Get the Jam because it is homemade and out of this world.

Went on recent trip to visit grandkids...pleasantly surprised with quality of food, we will definitely go again

My family stopped by Folk Art swinging through Atlanta like we usually do. We were surprised when we stopped in this small cafe. We choose it because of the menu we had seen online and figured, let's try something new. We split a bad to the bone sandwich alone with a fried chicken sandwich. I must tell you they were both excellent! Kids had fresh made chicken nuggets and pancakes. All of us were happy, plates were cleaned and full. Great place to stop and eat. Craft beer for the adults!! A little something from around the country. It's a small place so you may want to call ahead if you have a big group. I highly recommend Folk Art. Put it in your mouth, you'll love it!!

This was a neat little place. I would definitely go back to try other menu items. The service was fabulous, the food was extremly delicious and at a decent price. My only critique is the small amount of gravy I got with the biscuits and gravy but it was still really good. Parking is on site.

Delicious food, excellent service, cute atmosphere. We had brunch on a Saturday morning and had the sweet potato beignets and the folk southern fried. Both were delicious. The beignets weren’t greasy, biscuits were huge and perfectly cooked, and the chicken was moist. Would definitely recommend!

Outstanding breakfast. Chicken biscuits with gravy. Again, outside downtown Atlanta, but well worth the trip.

Our first lunch stop heading from Va Beach to Arizona. Chose here because of DDD. First customers in the door at opening and very excited to try the chicken and waffles. OMG, I can't say enough bad things about them, unfortunately, since we really had high expectations of this place. The waffle was as thin as a piece of paper and the boneless piece of chicken completely lacked any flavor whatsoever besides the taste of flour! Not sure how that's even possible. I love to cook and I've never had fried chicken come out with a flour taste. But they could have at least put some kind of seasoning on it. The piece of chicken was also quite pathetic being almost as thin as the waffle. Came served covered in what was supposed to be peach compote, but again lacked flavor and you'd think it would be fresh peaches since it's Georgia but they sure tasted canned. Very disappointed with all aspects of this little restaurant. Also, could have been cleaned up a little better from the night before with stinky stale beer smell

Got there around noon and had a 35 minute wait. Two of us had the bananas fosters pancakes and one had grilled cheese and tomato soup. I had the bananas fosters French toast. All of the meals were good but nothing special. Not really worth the wait, the place is very small and extremely crowded. Would not go back again

Went there on recommendation of a family member and the valet parking and ambience of the restaurant was great. The menu was great and too many items would have liked to have tried. It is a small place with a nice atmosphere. We were there for brunch and they were accommodating to egg white omelettes. Nice presentation but nothing special. Similar can be said about the lox and bagel platter. The issues were a hair in the toast with the omelette and a request to not have the olive tapenade with the lox and bagel dish. They understood but just took the tapenade off and the taste of olives lingered. Also, the plate it was served on was chipped. However, I would still be willing to return and actually have a desire to return despite issues that typically I could not get over.

Was in Atlanta for one day. A friend recommended Folk Art. I was quite pleased. Went for the biscuits and gravy. Was not disappointed. The fluffiest biscuits I may have ever had. I added eggs and grits to the order. The grits were great as well. Service was very attentive. I am one of those that drink soda with my breakfast. I never had to wait for a refill. And when I was ready to go, the waiter brought me a to go cup to take what I hadn't finished. That was most appreciated.

We were hungry and like taking risks to sample unfamiliar restaurants. The crowd was lean this Tuesday afternoon. Does the emptiness equal unpopularity? Absolutely not. The ambiance of the by-gone days relaxed. The service was excellent and the food was good portions and delicious. Great find

Been here a few times for brunch and worth waiting in line for. Good food, pretty quick service for how busy they are, and fun place to meet - lot to look at on the walls & love the location!

Great place to pick yourself up after a rough night out. Brunch done right. Go early on Sunday - the line gets long...

A good breakfast of eggs Benedict, the place wasn’t busy on a Saturday morning, so service quick. Quite a quirky looking place.

Even though we arrived after 11, our waiter let us order off the breakfast menu. We shared two different eggs Benedict, s’more sweet potato waffles and banana fosters French toast (the best!) Based on crowd on a Friday morning, it’s obviously a popular place.

All the food is good from what I've seen. They do breakfast and burgers mostly but a couple other random things. Super busy on the weekend so expect a 20min-1hr wait depending on what time you go.

We always make it a point when visiting Atlanta to make the quick trip to the Inman Park area for Folk Art. I’ve reviewed this restaurant before and since then I’ve eaten there 4 more times. I’m not sure how they manage it but it gets better every time. Their eclectic menu is to die for and regardless of what you order you will be in awe at the deliciousness they bring to your table. Bring your appetite because portion control is not in Folk Arts vocabulary. You get your moneys for sure and if you’re like me you will always leave fat, happy and in desperate need of a good nap.

Our first draw to this pace was its nod from the acclaimed “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Drives” program. It’s located in a quaint part of Atlanta and has a funky, comfy decor. The menu was varied and offers all day breakfast. My fried chicken was delish! Craft beers and cocktails, simple appetizers, and a diverse menu made this a great choice on a cold Atlanta evening.

We ate at Folk Art during our trip to Atlanta to see Jason Aldean. Folk Art came up on a "search" for Dinners, Drive In and Dives. The building is ecletic with alot of old and local advertising. Good atmosphere. The food was above average. I have the BBQ pork shoulder sandwich, which was one of the dishes mentioned on DDD. It was tender and flavorful. My son and daughter-in-law both had burgers and reported them to be tasty as well. My daughter had the shrimp po' boy and she too was more than satified by the selection. Overall the restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere. The menu had a wide selection and everyone in the group should be able to find something. Our food was all tasty. I didn't have that "Blow you away" dish there, but it is a definite safe restaurant in the Atlanta area! I would eat there again!

I first visited this restaurant by myself after dropping my boyfriend off at the ATL airport. I was deep in the separation blues and looking for a fun place to lift my mood, and Folk Art definitely delivered--the people that waited on me were extremely friendly, made helpful suggestions and modifications to my meal, and made me feel welcomed. The atmosphere is upbeat and fun, with funky art and curios on the walls as well as different types of seating (regular tables, high tops, and outdoor sunroom seating, which is wonderful in spring/summer weather). The food is incredible!! They serve all kinds of items. The French toast is five star, the banh mi is beyond belief, the cucumber avocado salad is actually craveable (even if you're not in the mood for healthy food, try it). They serve great drinks too (get the rose lemonade; they also have an assortment of beers including Victory Brewing Co., a personal favorite). Months later I came back with my boyfriend in tow and he loved it too. Can't recommend this place enough.

Although told we would have as much as a 25 minute wait, a table opened within 15. The place is somewhat crowded with an interesting atmosphere. We ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich Brunch w/ Cucumber Salad, The Big Easy Brunch, the Bene Tursaus Brunch w/ Grits, and and order of Dream of Weenie. All foods were delicious and the prices were reasonable.

Wonderful breakfast selection with good coffee. Decent prices for what you get. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared. If you are a breakfast snob I do not think you will be disappointed. There is valet parking and be prepared to wait for a table in the weekends.

Wonderful decor, fast service even at lunch. Ordered reverse chicken pot pie with homemade biscuit. WOW! So good! Pricing is very reasonable and the food comes out hot and fresh and plentiful.

Fantastic find for Saturday brunch! We didn’t have to wait too long when my friend and I met up for brunch in January. The menu is great. I had the Foul Play: fluffy and flavorful sweet potato waffle with a perfectly seasoned fried chicken breast topped with a whiskey peach compote and side of syrup. My friend enjoyed the biscuit with gravy, fried chicken breast and topped with a fried egg. The wait staff was friendly and the complimentary valet parking a plus. I want to go back and try one of the dishes Guy Fieri highlighted on DDD and one of their cocktails. Enjoy!

A hidden gem. Just ordered coffee. It was strong and hot. I always order too much food.....so I was thrilled to see an item called " the one". For $4.99 you get a pancake, sausage or bacon, and an egg. I ordered it with sausage and a softly cooked scrambled egg. I was pleased that my egg was cooked perfectly. So often scrambled eggs come over cooked and dry. I was a happy camper. The pancake was a sweet potato pancake. I am usually not too excited about pancakes unless they are buttermilk. It was fluffy and delicioys.

Went for Saturday brunch and left a little disappointed, especially given all of the great reviews. When we arrived, it was busy but no wait for a table for two. I got the peanut butter banana french toast and added bacon on the side for some protein. We also each got a mimosa. The french toast was okay, nothing more. It wasn't particularly crispy or flavorful, and the peanut butter left something to be desired. Even when you added syrup, it wasn't anything great or over the top. Maybe if it had been stuffed with banana or they added some sauce/glaze it would have been better. For the $3 the bacon cost, I got 2 or 3 small strips--I can't recall ever getting so little bacon in a side portion. The mimosas were good--my friend said he saw our waitress filling them with plenty of champagne and a touch of OJ, so they were plenty strong. The service was good throughout the meal as well--our waitress was personable and friendly. Overall, the place looks cool, the vibe is pretty good, but the food just left a little to be desired.

I live in Georgia and just had to visit this dive in Atlanta after seeing this on Dinners Drive-ins and dives. The food was awesome! I ordered the triple D meatball sandwich with hand-cut french fries and wasn't disappointed The burgers were grilled and then smothered in marinara sauce and cheese and this tasted just like a good ole meatball sandwich. The fries were slightly salted and tasted fresh and great. My wife had the Lobster rolls as she is from NE and she said the lobster sandwiches were very good. .The costs was slightly higher than you would pay at a local restaurant elsewhere but keep in mind it's in mid-town Atlanta and the prices were pretty standard for Atlanta mid-town. I would love to keep coming back. I will definitely go again the next time I'm in town

Stopped here on a whim for dinner and WOW was I impressed! The service here was phenomenal, and the food was outstanding. I love the area this place is located as well.

Ate here tonight with my sons, 11 and 9 years old. We were exhausted and starving after a long day at the aquarium. I ordered the lamb burger with gruyere cheese and fried green tomatoes. It was freaking amazing. I got the Mac and cheese as my side. I wasn’t really impressed. Kids got a beef burger and a chili cheese dog (not on the menu but they improvised). They enjoyed the burger but pass on the chili cheese dog. The fries were super salty, we couldn’t eat many of them.

This is creatively done comfort food. Go early on the weekends as it gets crowded quickly. The place is quirky. In a good way

First visit for 7 family members, early dinner. Great location and facility. Very basic interior but it works. Good beer selections and good appetizer choices, we had pigs in a blanket and fried green tomatoes. The burgers are fantastic with a good selection of toppings. I recommend the burgers and fries. Valet parking is easy.

Decided on Folk Art based on recommendations. Wow, so glad we did. This southern comfort food restaurant really does a phenomenal job. The food is delicious, portions big enough to share and the service is fantastic. If you go during the weekend, give yourself extra time for the wait...it's definitely worth the wait. So many choices, but we decided on the philly cheesesteak with a side of mac n cheese and the banana fosters french toast with a side of two eggs over easy. We were blown away... everything was fresh, came out hot and was served quickly. What more could you ask for? I cannot say it enough...everything was absolutely De-Li-Cioussss!!!!! We caught a glimpse of the biscuits and gravy...that will definitely be our order the next time we visit and the grilled cheese. Great job!!! Don't change...keep doing what your doing!!!

My son took us to breakfast here and the food is amazing. My peanut butter and banana pancakes were really really good. I've been dreaming about them. Also ordered a side of grits since my (non grit loving) husband raved about them. Yeah-creamy with corn- best I've ever had. Funky modern setting. House made jams. Coffee good. This place is definitely on my list to return!

Food was fantastic. Wait time was about 20 minutes on a Sunday morning at 10am. It looks like it fluctuates somewhat as to the wait time on weekends. I had the cinnamon pecan french toast with hashbrowns...yum. All the food served look great. Service was okay, kinda impersonal but food came out pretty fast.

Great place for brunch with lots of sweet and savory options. I personally am not a huge fan of breakfast food, so I went with a sandwich (although my friends and I all got a sweet pancake to share because they just sound so good). Probably well within the range of brunch prices, but felt a little high to me. Very busy when we went around 10am, but we got on the wait list and then walked around the cute residential neighborhood while we waited.

Another wonderfully successful visit to Folk Art was made. We were there for breakfast and the worst part was deciding which item to order. We ended up getting a waffle and an omelette. They were both very tasty and worth ordering again. The grits are excellent! This place is great no matter which meal you visit - breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The food was fabulous, the decor really fun and the chef and servers awesome. SO friendly. SO helpful. We asked a ton of questions and with smiles and laughs we received all we needed to know for a wonderful meal. I will be back for sure.

We didn’t have much time before our flight but my wife enjoyed a great burger and I tried the DDD fried chicken sandwich. Most everything we saw served around us looked good.

Lovely late lunch with a great friend celebrating many accomplishments! The highest ratings go to customer service, (thanks for finding lemons Moranda, next the ambience, and lastly the company. Food was good but wasn't impressed. Had the shrimp Poboy and Mac& Cheese. Poboy came with fried pickles! Both shrimp and pickles fried with meel or spent oil. Bread was burnt too. Coming from Biloxi, MS wasn't so impressed by that. Was happy to know they support our military with 5% discount. #FAITH<3

First time here. Valet on site. We were there late Saturday afternoon...after the brunch crowd. No wait. We sat on the comfortable, covered patio. Our server was great...made some good recommendations. The menu has so many great selections to choose from. The food was very good and we were all pleased. Will definitely return as often as possible.

We had eight people and didn’t have to wait too long. We all thought their sausage gravy was the best! We ordered pecan cinnamon French toast, chicken and biscuits, grits and eggs, sweet potato waffle, and kids meals. We all really loved the food and our waiter was awesome!

There's a slight wait for food that's completely worth it. Folk art is the perfect eclectic restaurant. Their menu is large and diverse. Everyone from adults to kids and all the picket eaters in between will have plenty of choices. If you're in the area you will want to get to Folk Art and have a fabulous meal. We live 4 hours away and still make the drive to eat there.

On a recent trip in late September to Atlanta I stayed in Inman Park and really enjoyed dining at Folk Art on Highland Avenue. Not sure which was best, Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Bananas Foster French Toast was a treat. The Sweet Potato Beignets were scrumptious (although they are really like donut holes, not the French puff pastry style). The Shrimp Poor Boy was as good as you can find in NOLA. Tenderloin Steak Kabob's with a nice glass of Malbec made dinner. Service was excellent, the wait staff never forgot us. Can't wait to go back.

The fried chicken sandwich is a 10! Crispy, juicy and packed with flavor. Served on a buttered brioche bun with a collard green slaw. I ordered it on the side so I could try the slaw and chicken separately. You cant go wrong either way.

A young man sitting next to me says, " Excuse me miss. I don't mean to stare but what are you eating?! It looks really good!" I think that comment says it all. Today was my first time at Folk Art. On Sunday's brunch is from 9am-4pm and you have to select from the brunch menu. Dinner begins at 4pm. The restaurant is located off trendy N Highland Ave. My friend and I arrived around 1:30 and there was a 45 min wait, which really is not unusual. Atlantans love brunch! They make use of every square inch of the space. There is quirky art work on the walls which is for sale. Patrones are seated on benches and chairs made of wood. It reminds me of being in someone's fixed up wood shack. My response to the youn man's question.... " A shrimp po boy. And it's delicious!" I also had a side of Mac and Cheese that is cooked on a flat top grill. Good but not your mama's. The second best thing to the sandwich was my ginger beer inspired drink called "Devil Went Down to Georgia." It was a perfectly balanced drink made of old New Orleans rum, ginger syrup, topped with ginger beer. All in all a very enjoyable experience. I'll be making my way back at some point to try out the breakfast menu.

Overall experience was good from a service standpoint and so-so from a food standpoint. Went to lunch with a friend 01/22/2020. Cobb salad was OK, but the pulled pork was dry with a funky texture. Lobster roll was a lot more mayo than lobster! Servers were very attentive and helpful. Crowded small table for 2 and noisy.

Fun atmosphere with excellent food and great service. Menu items are locally sourced and delicious. We had the strawberry greens with blackened chicken and the Rueben sandwich shown below. So fresh and tasty.

Excellent meal with friends, Old restuarant....great fried chicken and mash potatoes... Had the mixed beet salad and was by far best I have ever had....

Great service great staff great location very ambitious menu. Not bad but not great the menu seems adventurous but takes little risk. Cozy little joint serving average food.

We had been to this restaurant for lunch, however we decided to give breakfast a try. We got there right after the place opened on a weekend and the place was already pretty busy. Unfortunately, the staff seemed slow and inattentive. Our hostess, who seem to have a liquid eyeliner addiction, was pleasant enough, but I had to ask her three or four times to get the server to our table, refill coffee , get us extra creamer, etc. granted it would’ve been easier if she did this yet she made it a point to go find her server to tell her what we needed. Walk across the restaurant when you could’ve handed us a few extra creamers? Thankfully, the food was excellent and our parties got wonderful meals. I got the cinnamon crunch pancakes, which was a stand out and my partner had a huge omelette with hashbrowns. Our server, a young black girl, didn’t seem to want to be there and was not overly friendly. After flagging the hostess on multiple times, she still never came back to refill coffee or check on us at any point unless we asked. There seem to be a lot of staff/help milling about that was being reactive instead of proactive, which was disappointing. Thankfully the wait time was good and the food was superior.!

I’ve eaten here several times with my wife and friends, and it’s now one of my faves. The food is incredibly well prepared, and service is really good. If I lived closer to the ATL I’d eat here once a week. Easy excess, great food, great ambiance. Just try it; you won’t go wrong...

After checking out of our hotel we wanted something good to eat for breakfast. I had researched local spots and this was one of the restaurants that continued to surface with great reviews. We decided to give it a try and lucky for us there was not a wait. The hostess was okay but when she asked how many were in the party she was basically in the other dining area before allowing us to catch up. I really didn't know if we were to follow her or if she was going to check on a table. We followed and were seated by the pole near the kitchen (not a good seat). Our waitress had the personality of paint drying. I think she came by our table to check on us three times; to take our drink order, to bring our plates, and to bring the check. The food was pretty good. The portion size is definitely enough to satisfy you. The place is a funky delight. I would like to say that I will go back to eat there again but when I think about the service I lean away. I did however see other servers that were a bit more warm with their customers. All in all, good food, great space, bad waitress and decent portions.

This spot was chosen by my eldest daughter after reviewing some of the many choices to eat while on visit to the Atlanta area from California. She sold it to me on the promise that they had all day breakfast and I had been jonesing for some southern breakfast. Checking it out the night before online, the breakfast offerings stay k me as pretty basic, so when we got there I opted for the pork sandwich with date BBQ sauce that Guy Fieri featured on DDD a few years back from the place. Rounding out the table we had a Reuben, the tomato soup that another Trip Advisor reviewer had badmouthed, two fresh salads, and a steak sandwich. No one was displeased with their food overall, though my wife said her strawberry fields salad was very heavy on arugula and that is was very dry. The remainder of the food was solid, and the homemade pickles were a nice touch as well as the collard green slaw on the pork. Service was decent, the coffee was good (yeah, I was still in breakfast mode until I ordered my food) and we would all agree that we liked it and would go back. This was a borderline 4 or 5, and we went with the 5 because other than my wife's experience, everyone else's was great, the food was clearly fresh, and when we go less than a 5, we always offer up what could have made it go higher. Oh, and as to the other review about the tomato soup, it was great. I did steal a bite from my daughter and we all agreed that it was thick and creamy. Maybe a bit heavy on the added pesto, but I would definitely order it again and pair it with a grilled cheese. As a disclaimer, we do like creamy and thick tomato soups.

This place is a hidden gem around this area. It's a casual place, filled with families, backpackers, business people etc. Fast paced service and always busy. The food is great and it shows as people will wait in queues for a while to be seated. Great food, in a quaint area of Atlanta.

This is a place I saw on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives! So, my wife and I picked up my Mom at the airport and met my two sons for lunch. This is a great place where every meal ordered was perfect and exceeded everyone’s expectations. We all said we would definitely return. And a special word about our server, Chris! Chris is one of the very best I’ve ever met. He was courteous, attentive, and made everything run on time. He took special care of my 86 year old Mom who is blind and made certain that everyone was taken care of and happy. If you get the chance, go to Folk Art! And ask for Chris!!

Six of us had breakfast on a Saturday morning. A couple of us had eggs benedict, one with turkey sausage and one with salmon. The hollandaise sauce didn't seem to have any lemon, mustard, cayenne or other seasonings, so it was flavorless. The turkey sausage was rubbery. One had a waffle, which was OK, others had omelets and grits, which they deemed good. The mimosas and bloody Marys were not worth the $8.75.price.

This was our first visit to this popular establishment. We were there for Sunday Brunch. We started with a Sweet Potato waffle topped with cinnamon bun drizzle and pecans. We also had Maple syrup on the side for dipping. We didn't really need the syrup but ate some anyway. Next I selected the pulled pork with bourbon barbecue sauce and topped with collard green cole slaw. My wife had the Fried Chicken Sandwich with the collard green cole slaw. All of these dishes were very good. The prices are extremely reasonable for this area. Valet parking service made getting in and out a piece of cake. Try it, you'll like it!!

My wife and I ate here while visiting Atlanta. I am allergic to dairy, but Brittany our charming waitress knew how things were cooked and the cook made modifications for me. I had blackened flounder which was perfectly cooked, with French fries and a side salad (99 cent upcharge as a side). The flounder was perfectly cooked and the salad ample (several lettuces, tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers, with a delicious rosemary vinaigrette). It normally comes with Texas toast, but I had plain toast with house made strawberry jam. My wife had an ABLT sandwich with a cucumber and avocado salad, both of which she found quite tasty. The total with tax and a drink was less than $30. We hope to come back.

The food was amazing. The atmosphere was nice and nostalgic. The service was nice and the food didn't take too long. Over all great.

Great food, excellent service. The atmosphere is enjoyable too! One of my favorite places for breakfast.

Ok. This was my first visit. Nice setting, good food, but waitress was not helpful. My big issue was the 20% added gratuity. Maybe it was posted everywhere, but i didnt see it. And my server said nothing about it. Im thinking the restaurant could pay their servers better and stop sticking customers with undisclosed add ons. Why am i paying for servers? Pay them decent. And didn't u get PPP? Well, u should have. My business has gone through tough times, but i dont stick it to my folks. That's actually the absolute wrong time in my opinion. Be happy u have business!

This restaurant was perfect! It was busy, but we were seated after a short wait, and the food was definitely worth it! My kids shared the Triple Meatball Burger. They were glad they wanted to share the one because it was a huge burger! I got the grilled cheese with tomato soup and my friend had lobster rolls. It was all just perfectly cooked and delicious! Our server was friendly and quick, we wanted for nothing. We're gonna be hard pressed to try any other place on our next Little Five visit!

Stopped in for lunch and was happily surprised!! Had to taste a fried green tomato and theirs was yummy. I followed that with a patty melt no bun! The burger was tender and delicious!! Don’t hesitate to try it out!!

Folk Art was surprisingly delicious! For starters we had the grit app. I don't even care for grits but this was an awesome culinary surprise of flavors! Main course was the chicken panchettia? Omg capers in a delicious creme sauce! My hubby got the DDD BBQ, again the spices in the BBQ.. I don't know how they do it! I hate collard greens but I'm now in love! This place should be on the map right up there with the aquarium and top attractions for sure!

Nice quaint small place serving average food. Servers are nice but slow to take orders so don't ask them to give you a few minutes to make a decision. The food does come out rather quickly when the order is put in. There is an 18 % gratuity added on to the check. There are no updated paper menus. The ones they have do not reflect current prices. They want you to scan their QR Code, well news flash, not everyone likes to look on their phones for that. (I guess they can change their prices quicker without having to reorder menus.) Most items are a la carte. You pay extra for everything. Look for your meal to be in the $ !4.00 - $ 17 dollar range. They do serve Breakfast, Lunch, beer and some mixed drinks. Their biscuits are good, priced at $1.25. We were lucky to get a parking spot on the street, Sunday but I think there is a small parking lot around the back of restaurant.

We decided to eat here because of their large variety of menu items. Most of which are true Comfort Foods. I had the chicken piccata, the chicken was tender and very tasty the stuff under it, I was not too sure about, but did eat most of it, very little flavor, but made the plate look good. The fried green tomatoes were a little tough, but very tasty. You can see the bill and the pictures and get an idea of what everyone else had, my wife's Cobb salad was good. She ate most of it, had a little lettuce left over. All in all, I would eat here again and try some of their breakfast items.

We had a long day of flying and wanted to fill our bellies with delicious food while waiting for traffic to die down before making the trek up 75. Folk Art was the obvious choice. My chicken sandwich was bigger than it ever had been while my wife's French toast was exactly what she wanted. Thanks Folk Art for alleviating the stress of traveling and arriving to my truck that was broken into.

Atlanta seems to have quite a few of these types of places - local, low-key joints with amazing food - folk art might just be the best of them all. Being from NY, chicken and waffles are usually separate conversations and meals - down south it's a marriage made in heaven. Hash browns with pimento cheese are simply scrumptious. Staff are engaging and friendly. Worth the calories, a must- try

The menu was diverse and the food was good. I had the Southern Comfort which was good but needed a little more grits to complement the eggs and shrimp. My hubby ordered the pork chili verde and gave it a seven out of ten as it was good but said it lacked authenticity. The restaurant was small and social distancing was difficult however the restaurant does have several safety precautions in place.

We wanted to try something different and this was not it! The fish my husband ordered looked like it was cooked early that day and tasted like rubber. The bbq I had was dry and had no taste. My daughter said her food was ok but she had grilled cheese. Maybe 8pm was a little too late for them to serve food. We won't go back.

Restaurant was adorably quirky, the food was outstanding, and our server was super-pleasant. Be aware, however, that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to your bill (for the record, I'd have tipped our server more, but since the place did the annoying auto-tip, well... that's what she got). Also, there are no physical menus, even if you ask for one; you have to scan a QR code to access the menu -- not awesome for those of us with limited vision. Nevertheless, my friends and I enjoyed this place and look forward to returning.

I was pleased with the refreshing options on the menu. Came for brunch and thought the atmosphere was on point for a local joint. Warm inside. Plates looked pretty coming out but could use some attention to plate presentation. As a manager, I would recommend dining here. Thanks!

My boyfriend and I decided to pop by Atlanta during our road trip and saw this place recommended online. The chicken penne provided was incredible and the service was amazing. Our server was kind and on the ball with everything. Super tentative, great atmosphere, and the cappuccino was incredible.

After arguing about what to have for dinner, my husband and I found this place.... Oh.my.word!!! Our waiter Randy was awesome and suggested his favorites, and boy they did not disappoint!! We started with the pigs in a blanket. He had the Bad to the Bone sandwich and I had the grilled cheese!!! All of it was DELICIOUS!! On top of the great food was a wonderful atmosphere!! Everything was sooo good I had to write this before we tried dessert!! FYI - use the complementary valet parking

Wonderful little place. Triple D recommended and I second. Perfect menu for Brunch, with a little bit of everything from sweet potato waffles to the famed fried chicken sandwich. Don't forget a Bloody Mary. Nice way to enjoy the day.

So many options on the menu. We had Lobster Benedict and it was AH-MAZING! I had the French Toast on gluten free bread. It was just ok. Hardly any egg touched that bread. We will return and try again for sure.

My husband and I went here while in Atlanta. My husband got the chicken and waffles and I got the bbq sandwich with the mac and cheese. Everything was amazing

We stopped because of DDD - Well worth the stop! everything was quirky, delightful and delicious! Next time in town - you'll see our faces again!
Fun decor and great location, but food is just okay
I, like many others, saw this place on DD&D and wanted to check it out. It's located in a fun part of town with lots of restaurants and bars to choose from, so if they're crowded you have options (because they don't take reservations). I had the fried green tomatoes, lobster rolls and hashbrowns and all were decent but not life changing. My BF had the pork sandwich that was featured on the show and said it was really good and the Mac and cheese which is flash fried on the grill and pretty good. They also have a full bar which is nice and an expansive brunch menu (really wish I would have tried the waffle, I had food envy after watching other patrons). Overall, this place was fun to visit and good, but not great. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.
