Seriously... this whole area is the BEST place to visit, eat, drink, and just hang out at in San Antonio!! I stayed downtown on the Riverwalk, and everyday that I was here, I made it up to the Pearl district for food and drinks!! Everything about the area was just perfect! The ambiance, selection of eateries and shops. Just hanging out on the lawn area having a beverage was so relaxing. The restaurants around are a little pricey, but all totally worth it. The food hall has several options, and all were delicious (I said I was here everyday). The burgers, the southern chicken, the Caribbean food... all amazing! And the drinks.... wow! I highly recommend the prickly pear margarita, but the best hands down was the frozen blueberry lemonade with vodka!!! That drink was ordered every visit! If you’re not into the busy scene of downtown Riverwalk, please make your way up to this area.... it’s perfect!!!

The Bottling Department Food Hall is pretty small by Food Hall standards - a half dozen or so food and beverage choices - but it's a good place to get a quick meal to site outside and soak up the good weather. It's also nice that each person in your party can choose what they want from any of the options. They have changed out the food vendors several times, so check in to see what vendors are there. To help with COVID, they've set up a system where you can sit at one of the outdoor tables in the central Pearl square and scan a QR code to bring up menus and to place an order. They'll bring your food out to you or you can go inside and pick it up. Or, just go inside the building if you feel comfortable with that, look at the options at each place and ask them questions before ordering whatever you want. You can also place orders for beer, cocktails, or other beverages. In addition to the limited tables inside the hall, there is an adjacent covered and partially enclosed space with tables, but the best seating is outside. Several of the food booths are underground famous local independents who put a smaller version of their food here. Check out the ramen and the jerk chicken roti places! When getting a local beer from the bar, get the "cup" which is actually a plastic cup that looks just like a pint glass but is disposable, so you can feel like you're having a real beer experience. Cons: the partially enclosed area that was added on is a bit awkward to get in and out of. The doors look like employee entrances, so many people have no idea that you can walk right in any of them, and circle the building looking for the entrance. The doors are also be a challenge to open when leaving with an plate and a drink.

I would highly recommend going to the Bottling Dept. Food Hall at The Pearl if you and your party cannot decide on one place to eat. There are a number of different vendors located under one roof, so you can all get what you want. I would consider it to be a trendy location with their food and beverage offerings, but also in the way that the food hall is set up. It seems to have a focus on community wand bringing people together. When I visited I had items from: The Bar, Tenko Ramen, and Maybelle's Donuts.

They did a good job with the space they have available. I had Mi Roti and it was delicious. The rest of the places looked really good as well. I have been to other high end food courts and they usually have a few more places to choose from compared to here.

I love the Good Kind. The healthy options are awesome, and the manager/owner is so cool! He is very kind and attentive. The food is delicious, and the portions are plentiful.

Great options and nice outside area to eat, even decorated for Christmas. Tables/chairs and bathrooms.

Very nice, airy, well lighted restaurant cum food Hall where you can eat in or take out. We tried offerings from two and want to return soon to try the Asian offerings and a few others. What we had, a rice dish with chicken was wonderful as were the high end donuts. This is simple food but very well prepared with real flavor

A group of friends went with me and we all picked different foods to eat. It's a compilation of several small local restaurants. Donuts, Asian, vegan etc. I ate at the good kind. Very good food. It's a modern place and lots of place to sit.

Surrounded by fine dining venues, this place is where you find a great assortment of food choices at moderate prices right in the middle of Pearl District's open area. Similar to a mall food court only better choices and a nicer general area with both inside and outdoor tables.

Visited the Food Hall at Bottling for a late lunch with friends. We all got food at the Howdy Child Smokehouse & Delicatessen booth. They were out of brisket so my wife and I had the Smoked Turkey which was delicious. Service was quick, nice place to grab a meal with many choices.

This place is like a bunch of stationary food trucks. It’s cool but quite expensive. We bought a small juice smoothie for $9.00. It wasn’t even that good. The juice place wasn’t busy but two employees forgot about us. About ten to fifteen minutes later I asked about our drink and they were surprised. Luckily they gave us a second one for our troubles. For food my family had burgers and I had the chicken plate with two sides. The chicken was very good but a small portion. The cole slaw was amazing as well as the greens.

We ate at Fletcher's Hamburgers. I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich with fries. My wife got a hot dog and fries. Everything was delicious and hot.

This place is always crowded, with long waits. It’s pretty expensive for take-out food. It could really use some more healthy options (it’s hard for a gluten-free person to get a good meal here). Not my favorite, but at least they have Topo Chico!

This is great place to get a variety of foods at one place. The pizza place there is good, made fresh. The only drawback is that everything closes at like 8/9p. It's weird because the place looks like it's perfect for night activities.

One of the places we both wanted to visit on this trip to San Antonio was the Pearl...The Pearl is a re-imagined/re-purposed use for the old Pearl Brewing Company featuring shops, restaurants, a hotel and for those living in San Antonio numerous condos and town-houses. We took the Via bus and made it there in a timely manner and an all day pass to ride was only $2.75 each...What a deal ! We walked through the shops that were closest to the street and then headed over to the Bottling Dept. for lunch. We were both kind of let down as to the small number of shops and things to see at the Pearl. We ordered Hamburgers and fries at Fletcher's Hamburgers and they were both real good and a nice sized portion. At the Bar @ the Bottling Dept. we ordered a couple of Pearl Beers to go with our lunch and spoke with a bartender who was real personable and gave us information regarding the Pearl Brewery. All in all the Bottling Dept. @ the Pearl was real nice, clean and affordable....Which made for a nice afternoon lunch.

The Food Hall at the repurposed Pearl Brewery was named obviously after the former Bottling Deparent ... the property looks mostly newly build though. Nevertheless a very pleasant almost intimate food court style venue with several restaurants and a bar. They do serve Pearl beer, of course.

We loved our meal at Mi Roti. It came out quick and was massive. We grabbed a beverage from across the hall and sat outside and enjoyed people watching and eating our dinners. Ordering and pick up was super safe. The whole Pearl area is a great place. I loved seeing all the dogs.

This ain’t your local shopping mall’s food court. It’s more refined, more high-end, and less than half the size of what you’d find in a typical mall. However, the lack of quantity is compensated for in quality. We sampled 2 of the various options during our visit and enjoyed them both. (Buds Southern Rotisserie for dinner / Maybelle’s Donuts for desert). The Pearl Brewery is nice alternative if you’ve done the River Walk many times before. Parking is ample and free and the space is very pedestrian friendly. It's mostly families with very young kids making use of the splashing water feature and a few couples with dogs.

While we were looking for the Pearl Brewery (which incidentally no longer exists and is now a hotel) we stopped in here for refuge from the heat. It is nothing more than a food court that you can find in any mall. There was a bar that served Pearl beer along with other brands. There were also about 5 or so restaurants and tables to sit at in the center of the building. No table service. You can also sit outside on the artificial turf if you can stand the heat. There were large fountains outside that kids were playing in to keep cool. Public bathrooms were available. Nothing exciting.

This was a cute little spot. Very reasonably priced and the service was quick. It's a great spot to grab a drink.

Stopped in for dinner, was a little disappointed with the food variety but we found some tasty chicken dinners, nice venue and overall enjoyed it

Here you can get a selection of food, including gluten free mac and cheese. But one of the hidden features is at the end of the building, where there are very large public bathrooms. And don't forget there is a jazz club in the basement of some repute.

The addition of the Bottling Dept. Food Hall is the perfect compliment to the Pearl. The food selections are tasty and wonderful. The bathrooms are clean and there’s live music on the weekend. Great way to spend a few hours eating and browsing the area.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was crowded, but they had great cocktails and food offerings! We loved how it was dog-friendly outside and had fun watching all the puppies walk by.
Better options that typical food halls
This is not your typical shopping mall food court. The options are infinitely better and the price tag just a tad higher. If the weather permits, take your food to the outdoor plaza and people watch while you enjoy higher end ramen, burritos, and burgers. We arrived just before closing so the weather was cooler for outdoor dining. We loved watching the kids play in the water fountains while we lazed around with no one hovering over us to vacate our table. This area is a treasure and a must-see on your San Antonio to visit list.
