service was good but the food was average; nice place for groups

we were in the area and were meeting friends at food terminal. the food is pan-asian with a heavy influence on malaysian so we ordered tofu with sambhal sauce and noodles with tofu and curry. we also ordered roti canai the roti was alright - i’ve had better at other restaurants in the area; the tofu didn’t have any flavor but the sambhal sauce was really good; the noodles were decent overall, service was good but the food was average; nice place for groups

Cute little place

Coworkers and I went out for lunch the other day since the weather has been so nice lately. I will say that the decor was nice and the vibe was laid back. Staff was extremely nice and efficient. The menu was a bit confusing (almost like a magazine rather than a traditional menu), but a few of us decided on something simple. The presentation was nice and everything smelled great (I didn't try the curry but maybe another time). I found it a little pricey for lunch but comparable to the area of town (everything is more expensive now).

Disappointing!

What a let down! Quantity but no quality. Being Malaysian, I was excited to be here. Food came almost instantly - which I think is a bad sign for Malaysian food. Hainanese chicken rice - Chicken was ok - a little fatty, rice was not fresh, the sauces were so-so. Beef rendang - large portion of huge chunks of beef, very very fatty low quality meat. Needless to say, I didn’t finish. Okra sambal - tasted downright stale Crispy bun with bulgogi - tasteless Wan tan noodle - noodle was hard, the pork was fatty, sauce was oily, wan tan was ok. Thai tea - delicious, prob the best thing i ordered Malaysian food is way better than this. I don’t think customers mind paying a little extra for better quality meat and freshly made food. Hoping to see some improvement.

Lovely food and great variety

They offered a wide variety of choices and the food was great. Our party consisted of over 28 people. They were able to seat all of us in one area/ one extended table. The service was quick and food delicious. Malasian-asian-chinese-japanese cuisine

Asian Fusion dishes in West Midtown Atlanta

By ServingLooksATL |

Food Terminal is serving up Asian Fusion dishes in West Midtown Atlanta on Marietta Street. The path started with a vision by Amy at just fifteen years old selling noodles from a Malaysian kiosk. They are all about the fusion of Asian and Malaysian flavors and are located in a hip space with cool, industrial vibes. You will find a wide range of Asian street eats inspired by Malaysian dishes. I was very impressed by the full-color, magazine-style menu that showed exactly how each dish will be presented. It made ordering very efficient as there are a number of delicious dishes to choose from. Want to know what I tried at Food Terminal? Keep reading to find out! First I tried Grandma wonton bbq pork-tossed noodle. Featuring grandma's secret bbq pork recipe, this popular Cantonese tossed noodle is served with Food Terminal's signature thin noodle, fried wanton, bok choy, bean sprout, spring onion, fried egg and fried shallots. The sauce is super delicious and the portion size is large enough to share or have leftovers. Next I went with ps02 Honey butter shrimp. This dish contained shrimp, seasoning powder, egg white, salt & pepper, bell pepper, and honey butter sauce. I was impressed that this dish contained a dozen yummy shrimp. Last was the sp05 Honey butter wings. This appetizer was six pieces of fried chicken wings served with honey butter dressing. These wings had a light, delicious coating and were seasoned very well. . @ServingLooksATL: Serving up some tasty picks.

was in the area and looking for someplace with a patio. this place came up and so thought we would try.. The menu is great with lots of photos and accurate as what I ordered was what I got. Tasty ribs and Pao. we both enjoyed ourselves and the patio was well spaced.

Take you time with menu

Group of 8. So we tried a good variety of dishes. The food was good. Some dishes better than others. Our favorite was the garlic bone marrow soup and BBQ mama noodle dish (needed more pork) along with fried pig ears. The honey butter chicken had no distinct flavor. Not a fan and reason for 4 rating. Will definitely return. Wait staff was slow but attentive. FINAL TIP: make sure you get the restaurant code from the hostess before you submit info for parking. You’ll get 2 hours free parking. If you don’t, you’ll be stuck paying $8 for parking like us. 😞

Menu is Huge!! So Much Food to Choose From!

For our last evening in Atlanta, we had dinner at Food Terminal. Found good parking at the strip plaza where it is located. Was there on a Sunday evening about 7:30pm. No wait when we arrived so our party of 5 was seated right away. They validate parking for 2 hours I believe. That was enough time to finish our dinner without hurrying. Their menu reads like a book. Awesome photos and descriptions of many of their entrees and appetizers. They have so much to choose from in that vast menu of theirs. It can be confusing. They give you a sheet of paper with the list of everything on the menu. Just right the quantity of how much you want beside the menu item you choose. Ordered a Virgin Peach Slush while Wifey and I decided on the food. Was craving something peachy because we were in the Peach state after all, and I had not had anything with peach during our time in Georgia. We ordered the following: Honey Butter Wings. This appetizer was good. Portion size was just right for the two of us to share. 4 stars Crispy Pork Belly Bao. This appetizer was also tasty. We only ordered one to share. 3.5 stars Honey Butter Shrimp Garlic Noodle. My wife ordered this entree. If I remember correctly, this is one of their most popular items. It tasted yummy. 4 stars Grandma Bbq Pork Toss Noodles was my choice. Out of everything I tried at Food Terminal, this was my favorite item. DELICIOUS!!! 5 Stars!! Our dinner at Food Terminal was a great way to end our last evening in Atlanta. The restaurant has a cool vibe that attracted a younger crowd that Sunday evening we were there. Service was cordial and quick. Prices were very reasonable for such good quality of food. Definitely recommend dining at Food Terminal when you are in Atlanta.

No thanks (Alpharetta location)

Almost inedible....we actually sent one item back because it was so bad. What we kept was heavily salted, and not very flavorful. Even the chicken dish we ordered didn't taste like chicken - could it have been something else??? The service was no better....server never brought drinks, even after being asked twice. I can't imagine why anyone would give this place a good review.

Schwewain noodles. 👌👍

Always incredibly delicious, authentic Malaysian-inspired food. Service is excellent wanna food selections are very broad, allowing opportunity for everyone to find something they enjoy. Flavors are out of this world. I intentionally order way more than I can eat so I have plenty to bring home in take away boxes for a savory bite to eat or next day meal.

Don't get overwhelmed by the menu

The menu is so fun but it can also be a bit intimidating. The menu is printed like a magazine with beautiful photos of dishes on the menu. A tip for newcomers (like us): think of the rolling hot plate like fried rice. Next time, I will definitely be trying some garlic noodles.
