Authentic Italian

By Richard Minney |

Excellent authentic Italian restaurant with great food and atmosphere Seating very quickly, friendly but respectful waiter, excellent house win and of course all their pastas and main courses are delicious

You're lucky if you go

When you eat really Italian well with competent and super nice young Italian managers and the value for money, in addition to 'hospitality' is the top, you can only applaud. And the restaurant is not a tourist area and is frequented by locals who look like family members. Congratulations to the guys who brought real Italian cuisine to the States. Bravo

When you can't get to Italy, you can come here!

We found out one of our favorite servers went and opened his own restaurant. We came to the space when it was Al Dente, but they have transformed the space into a very warm and inviting space with a very relaxing vibe! It was great to see Giuseppe and meet one of his partners, Gabriel. Hopefully we'll be able to meet Chef Salvatore in the future, but his food....amaaaaazing! On our first visit, we had the bruschetta. Delicious grilled bread with tomatoes, cheese, and basil. I ordered the carbonara rigatoni which is a nice change with perfect al dente pasta! Daveed really liked his pollo al limone, and that sauce! Molto bene! I also had the calamari, lightly breaded and fried crispy, it was perfect! On the second visit, Cako came to check them out. The two patio spaces are designed well with glass borders that not only block the wind but illuminate the tables too. We shared the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese as our primi. The sauce was sooooo good! For my secondi, I had the brasato, one of my favorites, which was very tender and served over saffron risotto. Scooter ordered the lightly breaded pollo parmigiana, which was well seasoned. I had enough room for dessert, and ordered one of their specials, bread pudding with caramel sauce and vanilla gelato....soooooo good! They have a very good wine list and I do recommend the Super Tuscan. Cako loved meeting everyone that came out to say hi, and then she laid down, which she only does when she really likes a place. We heard it's really busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, so I do recommend coming Monday thru Thursday. There is outdoor seating that is dog friendly. Street parking only. You will not be disappointed! Grazie Fortuna! Buona fortuna Giuseppe, Gabriel, and Chef Salvatore! Cako approves!
