A sign as to the whereabouts of this place would be helpful, but once found it’s definitely worth it. A lot like Storico Fresco without the retail and with a louder vibe. The cacio e pepe was first rate but contrary to ATLANTA Magazine, the carbonara is not spot-on. Passable but nowhere near the dish as prepared in Rome. The guanciale lacked zip, and instead of a simple coating of fresh eggs and parmigiano reggiano with lots of fresh pepper, this pasta seemed to be bathed in a brown sugo. Pasta itself was cooked perfectly but this primo piatto overall was disappointing. Not awful, but not the Roman dish touted on the menu. Fritto misto al mare, however, was indeed spot-on!

First, I have had the take out from Buckhead for years, and its great! this place should have been great, but the service and the food was subpar. Awesome location, bar was fantastic, good vibe, should have stopped there! we sat down, 6 of us, ordered drinks, wine, apps, they were probably better than the meals. Had to send back two dishes, one was dry and the other was covered with cheese. I told the waitress that it was inedible and she removed it from the table but not the bill! I had to ask her again to remove it from the bill and she did reluctantly, and no apology or a care. The bar service was great, the table service was terrible for a restaurant of this caliber and price! We constantly had to ask for water, and our drinks came out at totally random times, some watered down from the ice melting. I may try again, but with the other offerings out there, I doubt it.

They charge $5 to pay your bill if you use the QR code on the table. The fee is not mentioned anywhere until after you pay. Feels like scam and ruins the experience at what is a really good, but not inexpensive restaurant. I love the food and have been here multiple times. This was my first time paying by QR, and now it's a Never Again.

The atmosphere here is quite unique; definitely not a typical Italian restaurant. The barstools are uncomfortable but seem to be the only option available. The appetizer of eggplant was delicious as was the cream sauce on my daughter's entree. My carbonara was extremely salty. The alcohol drinks are way over priced but the service was good. Finding the place was a challenge but there is valet parking. More than average but not a very good rating.

I was excited to try this place and was very pleased when I walked in and saw the ambiance. The drinks were all made with care and very tasty. It turned to average after that. I’m not a heavy salt user, but almost every dish needed salt. The oxtail dish is had was great, but the other 2 people in my party were quite underwhelmed with theirs. I would go back to enjoy the scene and have drinks but don’t need to have a meal.

Great restaurant in wonderful Westside Provisions District--We enjoyed the Squash Blossoms with Mozzarella and Ricotta, always a special treat. The Fungi platter amazed featuring roasted king trumpet mushrooms, anchovy butter and herbs-wow! The whole Branzino was a bit of work, but very delicious. Lastly, the Tagliatelle Bolognese with beef, pork and veal ragu was perfect. This restaurant is such a great find in Atlanta, really enjoyed our dinners. Lastly, they are very COVID compliant on spacing and mask wearing, so important at this time.

Walking into Forza Storico, the first thing you'll notice is it's very loud, making conversation difficult. It also doesn't have a lot of atmosphere. I felt like I was eating in one of my uncle's basement. Judging by some of the furniture, I might have been. Not a lot of thought was put into the interior design of this establishment. If you're looking for a romantic spot to have dinner, this isn't it. Although the lighting is on the low side. Speaking of the that furniture again, we were a party of five that was seated at a table that had seen one too many days. It wasn't even Shabby Chic anymore. I'm sorry, that's just not the kind of table I want to enjoy a nice meal at. Others in the party felt the same way. The food menu, while not big, offered a nice variety of dishes, that I thought were well priced. I had the Saltimbocca alla Romana, which, I though, was too peppery. dessert was better. Most of us drank wine. While the restaurant has a good wine selection, the beer selection is pretty limited. For a casual place, I thoughtthe prices for both beer and wine were a little on the high side. Forza Storico has a full bar, they're also a cashless restaurant. Service was friendly. Between the loudness and the uncomfortable furniture, this just isn't the kind of place I enjoy dining at.

I met some colleagues here for dinner. It’s in a busy mixed use space on the lower level. It’s hard to find because there are really no signs directing. The ambiance is interesting. It’s definitely more urban chic/rustic. We sat outside because the weather was surprisingly warm for February. The downside was the fact that the music was so loud. Really not necessary. We had a very hard time hearing our waiter and each other. The menu is good. The pasta is really good and fresh made. We got several dishes and shared. The bad news is that it took over 2 hours to get our meal and we were a table of 5. The staff were nice and kept checking in on us but we truly don’t know why it took so long. About 45 minutes in they brought us some pasta to sample. Then about an hour and 15 minutes in they brought shots of lemon cello that we didn’t ordered. That was a nice gesture except most of us don’t drink shots. We truly would have just preferred honesty regarding why our food was taking so long. Everyone around us seemed to get their food in a reasonable time frame. I think this was an anomaly and would be open to trying again because the food was quite delicious.

We wanted GOOD quality Italian and it exceeded our expectations!!! We got this place recommended by the Valet parking guy at the Four Seasons hotel, where we were staying. We went and what a surprise! The food was extraordinary, and the service and attention impecable! The quality of the ingredients is above many other Italians we have tasted ! I had caccio e peppe, my husband ordered a pomodoro pasta, and really impressed us! The mozzarella is locally made and sourced , and what a surprise! Tastes like we were in Italy! It also has the best waiters and servers! The vibe is beautiful, happening and with a very nice crow! Beautiful bar and great list of cocktails and wines! We definitely enjoyed it and will return for sure!

We absolutely loved this place. Stopped by on our way home from the airport, sat at the bar and had a great conversation with Jedi. He really made our visit very enjoyable. His recommendations for wine were on point. We arrived about 1 hour prior to closing, the food was prepared fresh and delicious and we did not feel rushed. Highly recommend this place!! Another plus…it’s in a really cute area for shopping!!!

I thought the pasta was delicious and fresh. The bread service was also very good— the bread came out hot and was served with quality olive oil. However, I did find the alcohol menu to be lacking and was disappointed with the overall selection. The real issues were with the service. Our waiter was trying to convince us to order certain things from the menu. When one member of our party tried to order a specific drink, the waiter insisted he try something else and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Additionally, our pasta came out literally 3 minutes after we ordered it. The pacing of the dinner was atrocious. The heaters were too hot on the patio.

We dined here for a graduation dinner, at the request of the graduate. This place is located not far from the GA Tech campus, so it is a likely choice for Tech students for a special occasion (given the prices). Parking wasn't a trivial exercise, but if you circle the common lot for a while you can likely find a space. We lucked out and found a nice spot right after we entered the lot. We visited during COVID; everyone was asked to wear a mask when wandering around between tables. Once seated, everyone took theirs off. If you show up in the late afternoon, some of the tables may still be in direct sunlight, so either request an umbrella or a table in the shade of an adjoining building. Our server was helpful and relatively attentive. Their menu regimen was to use a QR code on a stand on the table and to then peruse the menu via your phone. A lot of the menu is in Italian, but it was not too hard to decipher. There were multiple pasta dishes to choose from. I enjoyed mine. My wife had some leftovers, but was happy. My daughter definitely enjoyed her dish. We split a tiramisu-in-a-cup for dessert.

My family and I ate at this restaurant last night with high hopes brought on by a good reviews and a nice menu. We were thoroughly disappointed. We had three main dishes and an appetizer. The appetizer meatballs were okay; though phenomenally expensive at 3 meatballs for $14. There was hard sell by the waiter for bread, ostensibly to soak up excess marinara sauce, which we were subsequently charged for. The entrees all had one flaw or another; the Carbonara was way too salty. The Arrabiata lacked any significant spice, which one would normally expect from a dish that literally translates to ‘angry”. The restaurant’s interior was very noisy, with no obvious efforts to mitigate the sound. We struggled to hear each other or the waiter. The service was decent and the food was edible. However, Forza Storico was so thoroughly mediocre and such a poor value in a sea of better alternatives, that I can only in good conscious give this restaurant a tepid 2 out of 5 stars.

Patio experience was superb! Outside temps were in the 30’s, but the heaters set up along the patio kept us very warm & comfortable. We went on a Friday night around 8pm. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was cooked perfectly and presented well. This was a great spot for a date night / couples outing!

Very friendly and efficient service for creative Italian food. Drinks are top notch. Appetizers are creative and very tasty, but expensive. Entrees are hit or miss - most at our table likes their dish. I had Pollo alla Diavola, which is a whole Cornish Hen - delicious. My wife had Linguine ai Gamberi, which is a shrimp dish, she was not enthusiastic about the pasta nor the shrimp, which is served with the head of the fish still on the body. The outdoor dining area is super cute, but the chairs are uncomfortable and the tables are small so not great for large parties or long dinners. The interior looks very hip, yet the loud music makes indoor dining impossible for us old folks (over 40 I guess).

We've dined here now 4 times. We love the outdoor vibe. Food is great, Chris, our server is the best. Seems like it is getting busier and busier, so reservations are a must for sure. I love the Veal Saltimbocca and the cannellini beans with the arugula. The beans are part of the Pulpo appetizer, we just order the beans. Pasta tastes very fresh. Good wine selection and the cocktails are the best part. The Garibaldi is super refreshing with the frothed OJ and the Upgraded Paloma are our two favorites. They do not use and simple syrup in the drinks.

We had heard this restaurant had great food and good covid protections. We made a reservation for 8:15 for my daughter’s birthday. While this restaurant has great outdoor seating, with heaters, there were many customers not wearing masks. I understand that customers can’t wear masks while eating/drinking, but there were many people in the common areas (the hostess stand, milling around waiting for a table) not wearing a mask and the staff did not ask them to do so. When we arrived, we were told that our table was not quite ready. When we inquired 15 minutes later, we were encouraged to get a drink from the bar. Well, the bar had a long line and only one bartender. After 30 minutes, our daughters were next up in line and they received a text that our table was ready. They got out of line to discover that our table was not ready. By this time, the birthday girl was in tears. We left and went next door to JCT Kitchen where everyone was really nice and really helpful. We had a great meal and were happy we spent our money there instead of Forza Storico. The staff at Forza Storica were not mean. They were just completely indifferent. From the other reviews, I’m sure their food is very good – but I can’t imagine it is worth the wait. There are lots of really good Italian restaurants in Atlanta that we will frequent instead.

First visit to Forza. Both of us had pasta and it was amazing. Smoked Old Fashion awesome. They will charge you for everything bread, salad and even paying your bill if you use the QR code on the table. Service was superrrrrrr slow. 15 minutes before someone said a word to us and I had to ask someone to help. If you have a lot of time and don't mind slow service go for it food was great.

My daughter is a “foodie”. She finds great new places with her distinct taste for fine dining. This restaurant will not disappoint. Outdoor, courtyard seating with an attentive staff, enhanced our evening meal. We shared different dishes; from eggplant appetizer to Salmone and stuffed pasta. I’ll rate this place a WOW!

We had a large group and we all enjoyed the food and service. Tuesdays are half price for wine by the bottle. Great deal and server helped us choose as all wine is from Italy and we were not knowledgeable of these wines. Nice vibe too.

Nice Italian restaurant. The location is nice. We were seated outside. The food was very good and service was fast. Friendly atmosphere and courteous servers. Thank you!

We went to celebrate a friends birthday with a large group of 10. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and we had a great table where we were able to have a nice conversation. We ordered drinks and appetizers and both were great. For main course a few of had the chicken which was delicious. The pasta dishes were all fresh and looked amazing.

My husband and I went here on a Friday for dinner. We did not have a reservation, which I would highly suggest due to the popularity of the place. We were able to find 2 seats at the bar. The place is located on the bottom level right across from JCT Kitchen in West Midtown. We parked in the open lot behind the valet parking for JCT Kitchen and were lucky to find a spot there since there were many cars circling around. Once we sat, we started with a glass of pinor noir, which was very good, as well as the arancini. The arancini was very tasty. For dinner, I had the lasagne casareccia, which was excellent and tasty. You can tell the pasta is homemade and delicious. My husband had the ragu romano, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The place has a more upscale and hip vibe and it is very nice, but very loud, as well. The service was good, but it was a bit pricy. Overall, it is a very nice place and I would recommend it for a nice intimate dinner or small group.

Assuming you can defy the traffic crush and find a parking spot, you will then have to find your way thru a warren of walks and stairs to the inner lower courtyard to find this place. Thankfully, it’s worthwhile as the pasta prowess from Storico Fresco in Buckhead has been transported to this new, wildly popular Howell Mill location. It’s a post warehouse brick wall setting. The service is eager, with Italians and poseurs. The seafood salad (fritto misto/calamari, shrimp, etc) was outstanding. Pride of place on the menu goes to the cacio & pepe and the carbonara. By all means, opt for the former. I won’t give it five stars but the pasta is sublime and the seasoning is nearly perfect. The carbonara was disappointing. The pasta was excellent but the guanciale was lost in a swim of what tasted like beef gravy. They can do much better. Excellent wine list ... but, if you order a drink “on the rocks,” be prepared to pay two bucks for the ice. Nonetheless, I’d go back.

have been wanting to try , and was VERY disappointing. The Pasta was good (it is homemade) but beyond that the service was terrible, (non existent ) the food came out whenever with no pattern and not all at once so we ate in shifts whenever things arrived... and then decided to have a drink at the bar and that was the worst bartender I have ever come across (with everyone) bad attitude, never came back , threw drank and ran.. to everyone... the tall latin guy with the LA baseball hat on.. so rude. needless to say, Good pasta but will never be back there.

We love Storico Fresco Alimetari (first restaurant in Buckhead), so we were excited to try Forza on the Westside with our son from Georgia Tech. Then vibe/setting was great. The fried artichokes appetizer (also in Buckhead) was great. The Amatriciana pasta was fantastic! The Tagliata di Manzo (porcino rubbed steak over arugula) was delicious and cooked perfectly medium rare. The veal was the disappointment of the meal - overcooked and not very flavorful. Overall, a really good meal! We'll be back!

Absolutely amazing service! Delicious food! Outside was plenty warm with heaters! Highly recommend the veal and pasta with shrimp!
Nightmare
This place is horrible. Parking is a nightmare...we fortunately got in at the valet but our friends a bit later were told the valet was full. Ridiculously priced drinks..EVERYTHING is Italian so of course with the tariffs it is all super expensive. Bartenders acted like they were doing us a huge favor waiting on us. Place is filed with tiny, uncomfortable bar stools...nice to sit on for the 3 hours it takes to get served dinner. Yep, an hour to get a drink. Hour and a half to get even an appetizer ordered. Food was mediocre at best. Ready to get our bill and the server told us he could only do a whole table bill and couldn't get us our separate check. Asked to speak to a manager, that never happened!! FINALLY got a bill and it was charged incorrectly twice before we could finally get out of there. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. It is cashless, don't expect to be able to get money to tip the valet. They told us they are not even welcome to walk in the place. Do not waste your time or money on this place, it is a disaster!!!
