Walked into classic looking older diner. Deserts looked amazing. That's where amazing ended. So had a friendly server and he talked about being honest about food questions. Wife had chicken parm. Portion was enormous. Came with salad which you make at salad bar and soup and dessert. Soup, chicken parm all lacked flavor. Literally boring. I had French onion soup and sauteed shrimp and while I was eatting told my wife to use the salt like I did. It took so much salt to give it any flavor. Both of our meals. Her desert was boxed pudding....now and too. Our daughter had kids meal. Chicken strips with French fries and came with chocolate milk and ice cream. Fries came out cold, we put order in before our meals and came it came out with our meals. We asked for that to come out first. So nice guy as server was seen few and far in between. My wife got a bag for the food we boxed up. Excellent portions, prices fair but food needs some love.

Friendly and inviting venue for good meals and service. The seafood was our favorite. The food was fresh, hot and well seasoned.

my boyfriend and i were in town to visit my mother and I wanted my boyfriend to have a great Philly restaurant experience..this place did not let me down...the price is right for all the food you get which included soup, all you can eat salad bar which was absolutely yummy, our entree and even a small dessert...the food was all fresh and delicious...the server was friendly and on the ball...definitely will be back on my next trip to Philly

As long time patrons of the 4 Seasons, at Cottman and Roosevelt Blvd. in NE Philadelphia, I am feeling deceived by the term ''Early Bird Special.'' Thru the years I have always thought that an early bird special (EBS) was the same quality and quantity of food at a discounted price as one would receive in the evening at full price. Today's EBS seemed slight in portions and poorer in quality. When we went to pay our check and asked about the the differences in portions we were told by the cashier that EBS means lower price equals smaller portions. I guess our question would be, ''Why not just call it what it is smaller price; smaller portions?'' We don't mind paying for regular portions just don't lie to the customer and try to make us believe we are getting something that we're not. The waitress/cashier who explained the EBS was rude and condescending asking us what we expected for an EBS. What we expected was an Early Bird Special unless the vernacular has changed.

I just witnessed the Male General Manager call a customer a bunch of cuss words and challenging them to a fight

RUN!! What can I say... Are these the same owners as Cottman Ave? I doubt it. So here we go. After shopping at Home Depot I walked into the Clairmont, not to eat, but to look at the menu because I was looking for a new diner. As I approached there was a man on the front porch smoking. I went towards the door and a sheet of paper scotch taped to the glass says: excuse our appearance, we are renovating & and the process of getting new management. That's fine, I just wanted to look at the menu. As I walked in there was no one at the front desk. Not one, not two but three servers walked past me on their way to their tables with ZERO acknowledgment or eye contact. Oh yeah, they saw me! So I picked up a menu and began looking through it. To my surprise the man that was out front smoking then you walked in, washed his hands, and walked away only to return a minute later, leaning upon the desk and stared at me. I then realized he was an employee. Silly me, I thought he was a guest out front smoking. He didn't speak, just looked at me. Even worse, he was not in any type of uniform, so my assumption was he was the manager on duty. Now I am not opposed to going out for a quick smoke when it is slow, I am a smoker myself. But out front.. REALLY??? where your guests can see you??? At least have the decency to go out back where you won't be scene. So finally with his eye's grilling me, I said I don't need a table I just wanted to stop in and look at the menu. I'll be back over the weekend. Why did I not take this as a hint!!! So the following weekend I did go in to eat. This time there was an older man at the front, again no uniform so the assumption was he was the manager on duty seating tables. He sat me at a table and I heard him asking as he walked away, are you still on.. are you still on.. as though he were looking for a server that was still picking up tables. Apparently he had no idea. I was greeted promptly by an extremely pleasant and knowledgeable young lady. I told her this was my first visit and I wanted a minute to look at the menu. She returned a moment later with a glass of water and asked if I was ready. I had a few questions as the menu is quite large. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. I chose that because it came with the salad bar. It would have ended there, but I point it out to the server it also said soup. Perhaps I missed judged her. I went to the salad bar which I will say was quite good, though smaller in selection than a lot of other restaurants. When I returned to the table, she returned with my soup. I enjoyed my soup and salad, and dinner was served promptly. I have never been served such a bowl of sluap in my life! My spaghetti looked as though it was recycled from someone else's leftovers! ALL the noodles were in 1 inch pieces like a can of Chef Boyardee. I took one fork full to determine it was literally MUSH. As though someone boiled this pasta for 45 minutes. I flagged my server over and she offered to have a new one made. I was terrified. For the first time in my life I refused my hot dinner and told her point blank this item is canceled! I did in the soup and a salad & offered to pay for that. She was extremely apologetic and explained they currently have new cooks. I'm thinking THIS one was a bad hire because if he can't boil spaghetti noodles I'd be a bit apprehensive about anything more complicated than noodles & water. I heard her asking the manager to change my ticket to just a soup & salad because I refused to pay for this pasta! He never once came to the table, a pretty common practice if you have to delete an entire entrée from someone's check! My server again apologized. And I did leave her a tip. But the likelihood of ever returning or suggesting to someone else to try this new diner does not exist. So in review... if I a smoker am offended by seeing them in front, by zero acknowledgments by the staff and manager during my initial contact, by the absolutely atrocious bowl of garbage called spaghetti, by the total feeling of indifference, it's pretty safe to say thank God for the sign on the front door stating (( and in the process of getting new management)). LETS JUST HOPE THE 2 FELLOWS I ENCOUNTERED WERE NOT THEM!! Dont waste your time or money!

I've only had Breakfast here but I really enjoyed it. it's one of the only places that I know of where you can get a small side of Chipped Beef on the side. The wait staff is always friendly and fast.

This place is fantastic. I was in Philly for a week visiting family and probably ate there 4 times. Prices are good, the space is nice and the food is great. Loved the salad bar! Unfortunately never got to try anything from the bakery due to being absolutely stuffed every time which is probably a good thing since I never would have been able to choose, it all looked so delicious.

We have eaten here many times and always pleased, but after a long hiatus we recently returned. We had a burger and fries w/complimentary cup of soup. Can't beat the $8.99 price for an 8oz burger! They have nightly specials and early birds. Nice salad bar. Decent service, nice decor. They are also a BYOB! We will not wait so long to go back!

We've passed this diner many times over the years, but always on our way to somewhere else. We live in NJ, so we go past here after we cross the bridge. I met up with some old childhood friends/neighbors, and it was suggested we have lunch here. I was so pleasantly surprised. The place is way larger than it looks from the outside, and they have a very extensive menu and salad bar. Prices are extremely reasonable, service was good as was the food! I told my husband that next time we're in the area, we must stop!

My husband and I were seated immediately, our waitress promptly took our drink order, she was pleasant. My husband ordered the broiled seafood combo and it was fresh and tasty. I had the sweet cracker chicken. We had to ask for bread, waitress was good with refilling our drinks. Good amount of food for price. My only complaint would be they dont have a good selection of vegetables. The mashed potatoes are dry and taste instant. The side we got of spinach and rice was not good..my husband and I could not eat it. Soups are good, salad bar could be cleaned up more. The lettuce was floating in water.

Beware: if you eat here after 6:00 pm they add a $11.00 sitting fee to your bill. Never ever heard.of this. Lost me and my family as customers!

This was a very nice place for me at low cost great food and service before this pandemic, and STILL is! Offering outside dinning and inside as well, as we came up both were offered to us. All social distancing guide lines were in place, which helped us to feel comfortable. The service was outstanding! Our severer Segvan was more then accommodating but not overbearing, he checked with a few times to make sure all was well and we did ask for somethings and in no time he had them for us. All of the staff were very friendly also. I highly recommend dinning here for what ever time of day.

This diner is not only good but also convenient. The servings are big and it is reasonably priced. In my opinion it is the most convenient diner in the area. They are open 24 hours so you can get breakfast, lunch, dinner or midnight hour munchies after a night of drinks and such. They have takeout, uber eats and grubhub. So if you cant get there for their food, tge food can easily come to you.

Have eaten here several times before...but not lately. Took my Mom there for an early dinner. Staff was great, as was the food. Mom had a steak sandwich which was quite good. I had a shrimp and scallop entree, which was also good. The only negative to this visit was that they did not serve gluten-free pasta. They have offered it in the past. I got the impression that it is not offered anymore. I asked for rice for my entree and they obliged.

We have been there several times. We get the chicken parmigian Seniors meal that includes salad bar, choice of soup, entree, and a dessert choice. Very crispy chicken parm....good salad bar. Love the older music, not any blasting music that places usually have. Mean portion is large. Usually take half home. Never disappointed.

I can only review my experience with breakfast although I'd like to give the place a try for dinner one day. Decided to give this place a try since another nearby diner recently started charging a ridiculous amount of money breakfast. We went early on a Sunday and I think we arrived just in time to beat the crowds. FYI- go early cause it gets crowded. Server was ok- she seemed a little overwhelmed since the place was packed but she was pleasant. The coffee is good, hot and fresh. When the food came out, orders were a little messed up but the server quickly took care of it. Food was fresh and your average breakfast food. The table next to us had a problem with their server ( I think the customers were exceptionally difficult) and she handled it graciously which I know wasn't easy. The front of house was friendly and seemed to be involved and proactive which was good to see. The prices were great considering how much a diner nearby charges for less than average food. I'll def make this a place in the rotation for a quick breakfast not too far from where I live.

Above average diner in Great Northeast Philly. From omelets to club sandwiches, this place always delivers consistent tasty food.Service was great & waitress very friendly. They offer senior citizen discounts and also offer discount card.

We had a great meal with awesome service (wish I remembered her name to give her props) on New Yrs Eve...service was on point (fast, attentive). Menu was extensive...very happy with the little salad bar they had. Nice portions, and choice of sides...lots included with the price of the meal. I wish I had room for desert. I'll def be back next time I'm home because all of the diners in my neighborhood have gone downhill. So glad I went, because initially I wasn't thrilled when I heard this was the choice for dinner. See you next time!

Had lunch here with my husband today. The food was really good. The portions were huge. The entrees come with soup, salad bar, potato, veggie, bread and dessert. Impossible to eat it all in one meal. The service was quick and friendly. Liver and onions cooked to perfection.

Just a few doors down from Club Quarters hotel is 4 Season's. We went there for breakfast and were surprised and delighted. The guy peopkle working there were so friendly, and the breakfast cooked on the grill behind the counter was delicious and reasonably priced.

I was introduced to this diner by my Sister and this was a wonderful experience.A must go to place..

We went there for the first time... food and service was good & so is the look of the palace... my only complain is the iced coffee... it was watery... it didn't taste like anything... other than that, will defiantly give it another try!

We have gone here several times for a quick dinner. Great service everytime. Most of the food is good esp. stuffed flounder and shrimp and crab dishes are a great value. The complimentry cinnamon and cheese rolls that appear automatically are delicious. We usually take them home and toast them up the next morning for our breakfast. The matzo ball soup is better than a Jewish Deli, and their other soups are pretty good too. Mac and cheese is as it should be. Great salad bar that comes with meal. Some dishes are a little weird though. Fiance did not like the green beans that came with lots of grease and garlic (I ate them) And the Turkey dinner meal had weird yellow gravey and the stuffing wasn't right. But all in all, the place is pretty dependable for an inexpensive decent meal in an agreeable atmosphere.

Really nice family friendly diner. I've been here several times and they've never dissapoint me! Prices are reasonable and the food is great!

Hilde at the spa is simply the best!! Deep tissue!! I had to book her for 100 minutes because she was so fab

Recently went to dinner with my daughter. I ordered chicken and cheese quesadelles And potato skins. Food was over cooked. Told the waiter who spoke to the manager. Didnt even come over to see what he could do. Didn't take it off the bill. Not happy about my experience. Will not be coming back.

The four of us had a little time to kill and were hungry. I got the sampler platter and everyone else got a breakfast dish. Lots of good food and a very, very good waitress named Nicki. I'm looking forward to returning.

This is part Diner, part time capsule. I don't know if it's the decor or the decor+music, but each time I go there, it's a trip, in time or down memory lane. Service is lovely, both at the front and at the table. The food is very well done, the crabcake sandwich is served with lettude and tomato on the side as to not make either bread or crabcake soggy. That is thoughtful. The fries are very crunchy and ridiculously delicious. I suspect the ice cream you get here is made in house as several people I dined with noted how incredibly good it is. The jello is also very good. The selection of desserts is quite lovely, and their turnovers burst with filling, in stark contrast to so many other turnovers I have encountered in my eating career. A+.

When the inside looks more like a restaurant and the food and service are top of the line. I visited for lunch one weekday. It was my first visit and I was immediately struck by the warm tones and nature videos. We were seated immediately, our drink orders were taken within five minutes and the menu is vast. There is a smallish salad bar that looked wonderful. I had the BLT which came with a complimentary cup of soup, beef barly which was excellent. The BLT was huge and also had a side of coleslaw. I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw, it was a little dry and tasteless. Excellent service, friendly and fast...i will be back.......Oh, don't forget to order the Ice tea it is excellent. I must also mention that the prices were reasonable on everything on the menu.

Staff professionally friendly and obliging - great selection, 5 star ambiance. Definitely worth a visit.

During the five days we were in Philadelphia last week, we ate dinner at the Four Seasons twice. Both times were terrific. The wait staff is friendly and the food is scrumptious. Wish I could bring this restaurant home with me!

well my family and i were there to celebrate my son's birthday and my grandson's birthday and my husband and i 19th anniversary i oudered a open face hot turkey sandwich the turkey was not real turkey it was to thick and the bread was dry as if it sat opened in the air

This is a clean modern restaurant with an enormous menu They also have an extenive salad bar All their food is very good I especially recommend the stuffed turkey

Was blown away by how friendly and attentive server was. I was also amazed when she said my dinner included access to the salad bar, which was nice. When my meal came out I was in awe of huge portions, and my turkey was very good. Corn didn't taste like it came from a can. Very impressed and would visit again.

This place has the best chicken and rice soup! It's open 24hrs and will always serve good food. Great for breakfast or midnight munchies. Will deliver within reason or you can pick it up! Fast service!

The Four Seasons Restauraunt, Diner & Bakery has CLOSED. It has reopened as the Clairmont Diner & Bistro. There are no reviews for this restaurant yet.

My cousin and I were spending the day together and decided to have breakfast here before our long day. Their breakfast menu had tons of choices it was hard to decide what to order. I had the pancakes with fruit on top. They were very good but there was not much fruit. For being charged $9.99 it was a rip off to me. I did enjoy my breakfast but their prices here had a lot left to be desired charging that much money and I felt like saying where is the fruit. We did have a very nice waitress that kept checking back to see if we needed anything else.

Four Seasons Diner has good food & a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. They are open 24 hours and also serves breakfast 24 hours. Sorry, no waffles here.

We went to Four Seasons Diner about once a month for the second half of 2017. The meals were always good and the portions are large. On our last visit, I had the Tilapia Francaise special. There was about twice as much fish as you would receive at most restaurants, and it was so delicious that it could have been served at an "upscale" restaurant and drawn rave reviews. And the meal came with the salad bar and dessert -- for $10.99!

Took my two nephews for breakfast one morning before going fishing. I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits with two eggs over easy. One nephew ordered the steak and egg breakfast and one ordered the chicken and waffles, both had O.J.. My sausage gravy was tasteless and dry, eggs were done over medium. My one nephews steak had no flavor and was very fatty. The nephew that had the chicken and waffles said the chicken was tasteless also. The wait staff was the only thing i can say was a plus. The whole bill 49 and some change. Expensive meal for three people for breakfast. I do not know how lunch and dinner are but for breakfast i would say never again. To me that is a learning experience, to stay away.

This diner serves large meals along with a good salad bar. The service is always good. The restaurant is always clean.

my husband and I used to have dinner there at least 1x a week plus I used to meet friends there for lunch. There food is very good, the service is great and the prices are great but last time we were there 2 men speaking in a foreign were at the sAlad bar with to go boxes. they were taking the tongs out of the food and switching them around spilling alto on the floor and dropping some food in different bowls then started eating the food from the serving bowls with their hands. the staff weird all walking by working and no one said a word to them. when leaving. the men was talking g and joking in the same language with the guy at the register. we haven't been back since. they did used to have the best chicken dish in the world called nappy valley.and the make a great creamed corn beef
Great Breakfast!
I visited this diner for the first time on my usual trip to Philly. It is very clean and pleasant inside and the first thing you see is a plethora of delicious looking baked goods. I was greeted warmly and given a cozy booth. The staff was very attentive, and I had a friendly and superb server named Litia. My breakfast was only $3.99 and was more than I could eat... coffee, orange juice, 3 perfectly poached eggs, hash browns and rye toast! It was a good deal and tasty as well. I asked to see the lunch and dinner menu for future reference, and noticed they pretty much covered any American entree you could request. Other pluses: Senior Citizen meals 11AM-10PM, the orange juice is fresh squeezed, and the TVs have closed caption just in case since there is music played on the p.a. system. I will definitely return!
