BBQ Lovenest

By JeffS |

Food is prepared the same way it has been since Fox Bros opened their doors - consistent quality, tenderness, flavor and smokiness. Everything on the menu is great, while a few things standout like the sliced beef brisket (it turned me from a life-long pulled pork man into a brisket first, man), St Louis pork ribs are the best I've had that weren't dry rub style from Memphis (Rendezvous, Corky's or Central) - everybody loves these ribs! Fox burger tastes even better than it reads from menu and I always round out the meat with mac & cheese or hot collard greens.

Best BBQ period.

By Edward |

Just about the best BBQ place ever. Whenever me and my wife stay in Atlanta we have to go to Fox’s. It’s always too notch. Never had anything there that was less that exquisite. If you have had great BBQ, go here a realize that it wasn’t as great as Fox’s. Always busy but it’s always worth it. Friend staff, great food, wonderful atmosphere.

Inconsistent hours

By Roger W |

The food is okay but you can't depend upon them being open. I've been twice when they were supposed to be open but were closed. Tonight we had friends meeting us there only to discover they were closed for a private event. Their website didn't say anything about the change in hours.

Great BBQ! The flavor was amazing and exceeded our expectations.

By Charles C |

Great BBQ! We asked the locals and it was unanimous that we go to Fox Bros. for bbq and we were not disappointed. We started off with the fried pickle chips and fried jalapeño chips. These were both unique and tasty. Then on to the wings. We got them dry and added our sauces from the table side sauce selection. Wings had really good flavor and we both preferred the spicy sauce. Wife had the combo platter with pulled pork and chicken with side of frito pie and green beans and I had Combo plate with lean sliced brisket and spare ribs with side of baked green beans and collard greens. Not just great bbq! The sides are equally tasty. Oh, and make room for the banana pudding. Just like grandma used to make. In all, this was a great food experience that left us full and happy.

A must for everyone

By axfordrn |

We looked up where to go on trip advisor for smoked meat & there’s a reason it’s number one around here. We went a bit late but honestly on a couple things were sold out so I suggest you go early. Way to fox bro’s. I’m going to try & come back before we head back to Canada.

Amazing BBQ!

By EpicGuy12 |

I have tried BBQ places all over the country and this is by far one of the best that I have had. I will say that this place gets incredibly busy so be prepared to wait unless you are there when they open however it is completely worth it. The parking lot is very small so you might end up having to park on the street and walk in. I had the combo plate and got the ribs and pulled pork with the mac n cheese and tater tots for the side. My food was brought out ridiculously fast which was great and it was simply wonderful. The ribs were smoky and tender, they didn't even need any sauce. the pork was simply perfect and you can tell they took their time cooking it to perfection. I would absolutely go back here again and if you are in Atlanta take some time and check this place out if you want great southern BBQ.

Amazing accidental find

By Brian O |

Found this place totally on accident and it was really, really good. We tried the ribs, brisket and pulled pork and they were all wonderful. Sides were nothing special, but the desserts were great too. Try to toffee cake.

Please bring this restaurant to Athens!

By Jessica M |

Fox brothers burger. Sliced/fatty! You must have all of these delicious flavors in your mouth at least once (preferably more) before you die! Don’t be embarrassed when your eyes roll to the back of your head and you make groaning sounds while these flavors soak into your taste buds! It just comes naturally when your mind is trying to process what is happening in your mouth!

Great BBQ

By dshafer2023 |

We had their fried ribs which were different than anything we have had before. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich with slaw, I had the combo with brisket chili, and a salad all of which were excellent. .

Real American BBQ

By lone_gunmen |

I have always dreamed of a very American BBQ on a sunny day and today I finally had it in this amazing place in Atlanta. The inside is decorated in a typical southern style, really impressive and with soundtrack of rock music from the US. Me and my friends had all combos with double meat and double sides. I was completely taken by the pulled pork and the ribs: so perfectly smoked and tasty. Very good the fries and the other sides, too. Much appreciated also the IPAs they have on draft. Our waiter was very nice and the price is average. Definitely a must visit in Atlanta!

Delicious BBQ!

By Sonia K |

Stopped in for dinner and were greeted and seated promptly. Ordered both the wet & dry chicken wings as an appetizer and both were very good. For our main meals, we shared a rack of spare ribs and a giant short rib. Again, both were delicious and smoked to perfection! The sides of coleslaw, spicy green beans, Mac & cheese and fries were ok accompaniments. Service was average.

Tourist Stop

By Doug R |

Tried the combo platter with appetizer. App was fried pickles very nice batter hot and tasty used ranch dip it was very good. Had combo platter this had disappointments. They didn’t remove membrane from ribs which limited flavor exposure ribs were dry even with sauce. Got sliced brisket asked for fatty style this was good tender and tasty. Pulled pork didn’t have as much flavor and needed sauce. Also had sausage cheddar and jalapeños. Actual sausage was very good however casing is very thick you have to use knife to cut and it’s still tough. Beans were good with a little kick but not overpowering. Coleslaw well coleslaw is coleslaw nothing to see here. One point on setting the plate they placed all meat on top of bread so unless you unpile immediately or eat very fast meat first you end with a pile of soggy mush you eat with a spoon. Overall food was above average definitely a tourist spot.

AMAZING BBQ

By LaShonda L |

Our trip to Atlanta was made complete when we visited Fox Bros BBQ. It was very busy when we arrived but we only had a 5 minute wait until we were sat. The service was impeccable and the food absolutely Devine. My husband had a combo with wings and ribs where the meat fell off the bone of the ribs and the wings were smoked to Perfection. He raved about the baked beans and fries that he had. I had the brisket sandwich that was served on the softest roll around. I got the frito pie which did not disappoint. This is definitely the spot that you have to visit if you are in the area.

Awesome BBQ - # 1 Customer

By Topcustomer |

When my family and I have a taste for good southern bbq, we tend to travel over an hour from north of Atlanta to visit Fox Bro BBQ. Folks, I’ve had bbq from throughout the south. So when I say this place is good. It is good!!! We recently place a large order to include a rack of ribs. OMG… they were sooooo delicious, well seasoned and so tender they felt like butter between our lips as we sunk our teeth into them. So so good. I called the manager the next morning and had to share the positive feedback from our experience. Well done Fox Bro BBQ. # 1 Customer

Wedding event!!!!!

By Doug H |

Wedding event. They were great, provided bar tenders, food was awesome! The staff cleaned up well and did not let things backup. Recommend for parties.

Come Early

By Bre B |

This was the one place I was so looking forward to eating at during our trip to Atlanta... it ended up being the place I liked the least. We arrived around 6pm and found out that parking is a bit of a headache, someone had their windows smashed out right in the parking lot, yikes. We were seated quickly and had a very pleasant server who informed us they were nearly out of everything including the sides. So we chose from the options that were left, my husband ended up getting one thing he didn't ask for (the sausage) but he enjoyed it so he kept it. I wasn't happy with my meal, the chopped brisket was dry, the green beans were too spicy, and the collards were salty and undercooked. The ribs were quite good but pretty much everything else I left there. I would love to try this place again one day but much earlier when things are fresh and plentiful.

The BEST BBQ we've EVER eaten!

By Angelkeeper1964 |

Oh my lawd...the BEST BBQ we have EVER eaten anywhere!! We went last Monday and went again on our way home to FL on Saturday...on Monday we had jalapeno cheddar sausage and pimento cheese~the best pimento cheese I've ever had, sausage was spicy but good! I had brisket~sliced and fattier~Delicious!Hubby had 1/2 slab ribs also delicious! each came with 2 sides we had tater tots, potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw...all were excellent! So excited to eat we forgot pictures! Saturday we ordered for appetizer pork belly burnt ends so tender and the fat was rendered perfectly and CHICKEN FRIED RIBS~ Double sided, thick cut ribs that are breaded, fried and served with their white BBQ sauce...y'all I thought I would probably like these but I didn't think I would fall in love with them...we ordered another order of them to go before we finished them...for our entrees I ordered the Beef Short Rib which was HUGE! sides were tater tots and baked beans...Ah~mazing! Hubby ordered the Beef brisket, sliced and fattier with tater tots and mac n cheese...phenomenal again...we also ordered red velvet cheesecake with a pecan crumble crust to go! Y'all this was the most delicious food we've eaten in a very long time! All the way home I would just blurt out occasionally how satisfied I was with our meals and how good the flavors were and how tender the meats were and how I wish they were closer! These were the only 2 photos I got but Oh my was it good....and I've not had to cook for a few days while we finish up leftovers, lol...our servers were Veronica on Monday and Maya on Saturday both were awesome!

Solid BBQ

By KatieD06 |

Our server, Julia, really made our visit. She was attentive and gave us spot-on suggestions. Loved the brisket and my husband got the dinosaur rib, which was also excellent. Sides were okay. My favorite was the Mac and cheese. Banana pudding was FANTASTIC. Perfect way to end our meal.

FAST Service and Great Food

By Christian Collins |

I went here on a whim driving around Atlanta, which I was visiting this weekend. It did take a good while to get a parking spot, that was the only negative. There aren't enough spaces in the lot to accommodate the heavy patronage the restaurant receives. That's just the nature of the location, and it took about 10-15 minutes of circling the block to get someone backing out. When I went inside, I was seated promptly by a very personable hostess. I perused the menu and ordered their Griddled Pimento Sandwich, with a custom request for added bacon. My drinks were brought to me in under 3 minutes, and the sandwich came about 5 minutes later. The bacon was a little tough for a sandwich, and I might've cooked it a tad more to make it easier to bite off. But it was a custom order, so I'm not holding the cooks accountable for that detail; I was the one who went off the beaten path. The flavor of the sandwich was out of this world. Delicious pimento and some of the best bacon I've ever had (you could tell it was the good stuff). The atmosphere was also very nice for a BBQ restaurant. Overall, I'd HIGHLY recommend this place for anybody in the Atlanta area.

Very disappointing

By Kimberly B |

We've been here a couple times before, and the food was always pretty good. I don't love pork, but my son does, so he usually gets a pulled pork sandwich. Yesterday, we got there right after opening (around 11:15), so maybe that was our mistake. The pulled pork sandwich he got was largely big globs of gelatinous fat. Maybe if we had come later, some of that fat would have rendered out. Or maybe they just grabbed the top portion when they made his sandwich, and it happened to be fat. I don't know, but he couldn't eat much of it. I got a pimento cheese, and I asked for it to be grilled. That was a huge mistake, because it looked and tasted like they threw it on the grill with about a half cup of whatever grill butter substitute restaurants use. Instead of getting nice and toasted, the bread was soggy and oozing grease. Lesson learned there - if we ever go back, I won't ask for a grilled sandwich. Overall, it was just really disappointing for us. Honestly, we should have sent our food back, but by then, we just wanted to get out of there. On a positive note, we both got French fries with our sandwich, and they were crisp and nicely seasoned.

Appetizers were yummy

By Floridafoodie92 |

The fried ribs, the sausage with pimento dip, and the Fritos with brisket chili were very delicious! The regular ribs, pork, sliced brisket and chicken were about average, a little on the dry side. Parking is super limited so plan on carpooling or have someone drop you off and park elsewhere. Giving 4 stars because the appetizers were that good, entrees not as good.

Be aware of your credit card info!

By atlalien04 |

While the food is excellent, as I was a customer for over 10 years, please be aware of your credit card info. The owners (twin brothers) used to walk around the restaurant regularly (this shows how long we were customers). The waitresses are thieves (at least one waitress). She copied my credit card info and bought tickets from Ticketmaster for over $600. We never used the card anywhere else. It was new and we only went there. We ordered drinks and had to show ID which is how she got the billing zip code to make the purchase. The good thing is that Ticketmaster knows who the person is that bought the tickets. I am in the process of having the police arrest those people at the venue they bought tickets or have the tickets voided. I much prefer to have this thief arrested. When I called to report this, the manager and even the area manager (they are probably friends or the same person) insist that they had the same thing happen to them. How ironic! We will not be going back there. Save your receipts and notate every single waiter or waitress that serves you.

$25 for half chicken and a tea? Westside is cool space but difficult parking. Won’t be back.

By Jack C |

Mildly OK. I always get lulled to sleep by their sides choices and fall for the slaw, which is decent, but tiny, and the collards which are flavorless at all locations. Cool space, probably a fun place to grab beers later in the day but not a great place to eat. Takeout may be good if you can focus on the meat and do sides elsewhere?

Love Fox Bros BBQ

By Cary |

Loved Fox Bros BBQ. Must try the Ribs. The meat falls off the bone and is so tasty and tender. The Brisket was delicious also. Ordered the fatty Brisket and is was juicy and soft. Visit the new Fox Bros location on Chattanooga. The staff was so friendly, accommodating and helpful. A family friendly atmosphere even with a bar at the end of the restaurant. Highly recommended on your visit to Atlanta.

Amazing Atlanta BBQ Authentic and Delicious

By pneon99 |

We Came out to Atlanta looking for good food and boy did we find it. This place is a not so hidden gem. Amazing Smoked meats especially the brisket both sliced and chopped and delicious sides. The ribs are tender and delicious with a amazing dry rub. The Coleslaw was a real standout along with the Chili and fried okra which was uniquely fried. The Banana cream pudding was absolutely delicious as well. The staff was friendly and the seating is very traditional. Overall a great bbq experience in atlanta.

Excellent brisket, outdoor dining area

By John D |

Brisket is recommended. Service can be a bit unusual. Sides are solid. Prices are normal. A bit noisy at times, limited parking and it gets crowded.

Great Service good food

By williamcF5930WR |

The food was good but Service was on point. I was seated right away and my server was ten steps behind her. Ordered my food and just as it was put in it was walking out the door to me no more then a min wait. The only thing I had to wait for was my beer, but I was told that they had just gotten their shipment in and it was not quit cold so they had dropped it into a ice bath with the cup to chill things down. I order the pulled pork sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The sandwich was good but the fries are cheep frozen fries and the coleslaw was ok was missing some flavor but over all ok. I would come back to fox brothers lol f it was not an hour from my home and a rich better bbq

Food is awesome

By naycox |

Food is awesome. Real southern style bbq. The collard greens are the best I’ve ever had. Very reasonable priced.

A Must!

By Steve S |

Enjoyed dinner with a party of 9 and the experience was outstanding. Food arrived in under 10 mins. and everything was wonderful. Great selection on the menu and many of us "shared" entrees to taste all that there was to offer. Wait staff was wonderful and handled our group with no issues. Great BBQ atmosphere. Our daughter could not leave without a Fox Bros. shirt! Have to say that the reviews and word of mouth were the reason that we chose Fox Bros. and we were not disappointed! This is a place that is worth going to if you are in the area. We went at dinner time on a Friday night and did not have to wait although it did very busy in the time we were there. Can't wait to return to Atlanta and head to Fox Bros.

Bring a big appetite

By alafans |

My wife and I were in town for the Alabama vs Georgia football game. We decided to try Fox Bros., for bbq. It was awesome! We got there around 5:30 and managed to get a parking spot. We went in and got seated pretty quickly. Veronica was our waitress and she made several recommendations on what to eat. My wife wanted the fried jalapeño and pickle appetizer. She also ended up getting a brisket sandwich. I ordered the 3+2 and it was a mistake. Too much food consisting of ribs, brisket and a jalapeño sausage with beans and cole slaw. I thought I was going to need a wheelbarrow to get out! Excellent food and waitstaff! We highly recommend Fox Bros!

Best ribs

By Urka |

Went to eat here after seeing it reviewed on Diners, Drive in’s and dives. One of the best bbq places I have been too. Excellent tender ribs, juicy chicken- amazing pulled pork. Sides great - especially the baked beans, cole slaw , collards. They are quick to seat you and quick to bring food. Only drawbacks are the small parking lot - some on street parking nearby- and the desserts. Banana pudding is pretty good. Rest of the desserts disappoint especially the very strange “diplomat cream” they put on the cobbler.

Mediocre BBQ food.

By Rob D |

Brisket sandwich was lukewarm to room temperature. Fries were barely warm. The meat appeared to be warmed over in texture and the wings were overcooked and barely warm. Very disappointed with the entire experience.

Fox Que-Osk was great

By Kate S |

Ate at the offshoot Fox Que-Osk. We had the brisket, ribs, beans, mac n cheese, banana pudding. It was all great.

Texas Smoke

By Poorotis D |

Oh my! Guy got this one right. Having just gotten into smoking always looking to taste and learn. Here we have Texas style BBQ in the heart of Atlanta. Shared the 4 meat combo with two side and outstanding. Well worth the 45 minute wait. Chelsea our waitress was spot on. Smile, friendly and knows how to handle a table. I am going back.

Not what I thought

By Roni K |

Parking lot is not large enough. There was a lot of hype about the food, it was ok.Portions are small and dishes are expensive.

Good Food

By wanderlustatlgirl |

I was craving some BBQ today. Heard so good things about this place so I decided to try them out. Got there early so the line wasn't too long. Ordered me a spare rib platter with Mac & Cheese with Baked beans. The ribs was juicy and tender. I didn't need any extra sauce. Fell in love with the baked beans. Mac & Cheese was OK. I would return. Next time I will try the fried ribs.

Incredible BBQ!!!

By GAboyINBama |

My brother and I ate at the bar on a busy Saturday before the Braves game (they won), we both had the ribs and brisket and a beer,it was incredible! Great atmosphere, great service!!

Delish

By Samiya7 |

We enjoyed lunch catered by Fox Bros and tried the pulled pork, chicken, coleslaw, Mac and cheese and a few other dishes. The pork was probably the best I have ever had. It was not fatty at all. All the food was delicious and I highly recommend it.

Pretty good bbq

By SMOKESTACK |

Solid choice for bbq and appeared to be a local favorite. Busy at 11:30am on Saturday. Brisket comes either fatty or lean and is ok and the spare ribs are pretty good too. The 2 sauces are good but the most noticeable thing missing is smoke - I couldn’t detect any despite the smoke ring on the brisket. Regardless, the sides are excellent (good options for vegetarians) but generally small and it’s good bbq with good beers on tap. Free parking in their lot out front and the service is excellent. Can’t go wrong unless you like smoky bbq. The fried pickles & jalapeños is possibly the best dish on the entire menu - very addictive. Great for families.

Good food

By easiwin1948 |

We went here knowing we would have to wait after reading the reviews. They told us 30 minutes but it was only about 15 before we actually got seated. I ordered the half rack of ribs. The first one was really tender. The second one was a little tough. The third one was also tender, So I guess it was kind of hit and miss about the tenderness of the ribs. The food was good though and the service was fast. I would go here again.

Not what I expected

By Charles B |

I was in Atlanta for work and I was excited to try Fox Brothers. How can you be a bbq restaurant and run out of ribs? The brisket was dry and the baked beans tasted like pork and beans with barbecue sauce in it.

Amazing food...and that's it

By Russ F |

The atmosphere is a dive, the service is mediocre at best, parking is terrible, the neighborhood is a mess, the food presentation is awful, the local draft beer is based on a dare. But, this is some of the best BBQ that I've ever had. The brisket and ribs are especially awesome. The desserts are decadent and well made. Normally a restaurant in this weight class would be given a poor rating. But, the food really is great. This place is a one trick pony. If you're going its only for the BBQ and desserts. Don't expect anything else.

Best BBQ in three cities

By LHS329 |

We decided to go on a tour of BBQ in Atlanta, Memphis, and Nashville. Fox Brothers was the winner. They all had really good BBQ but Fox Brothers' sides took them right over the top. My husband had the pulled pork and brisket combo. His sides were spicy green beans and collards. They were delicious and unique. I had the chicken fried rib appetizer which was delicious. The ribs were cooked perfectly and then were dipped in a light batter and deep fried. I wasn't sure about the idea at first but am SO glad I got them. Wow!! I also ordered a veggie plate of sides; brisket chili, brussel sprouts, spicy green beans, and collards. This is the best BBQ meal we have had anywhere. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough

Atlanta’s Best BBQ

By drubarlow |

I recently visited with my dad and 2 brothers-in-law from Texas recently hoping for a taste of our home State, and man, Fox Bros delivered! Between 4 grown men who love BBQ, our order covered the menu pretty well. Appetizers for us were the pork belly burnt ends and fried pickles, both awesome. Main course for me was the 3-meat plate with succulent marbled brisket, juicy jalapeño cheddar sausage, and melt off the bone ribs. Sides for me were brisket chili and jalapeño corn bread with sweet butter. Every bite was exquisite! I’m only sad that I live in Texas where I won’t be able to visit more often.

Lived up to my expectations

By chee_ chee_pizza |

We went to the new location or and were not disappointed. We all had wings deep fried ribs french fries and my wife had one of their salads. The ones were perfect not right out we had our sauces on the side everything was great. 55 with ribs are perfect not chewy not fall off the bone they pulled away with a very little effort. We live about four hours away plan to return in May and this will be one of my first places to stop to eat.

Excellent bbq and chicken

By JackGirl7 |

Stopped in after seeing on Diner’s, Drive-in’s and Dives while in Atlanta. My favorite was the Frito Pie in the bag with all the fixings! Great turkey and chicken and don’t forget the fried jalapeños!

Buyer beware

By Dirt D |

The appetizer fried ribs and deep fried pickles were delicious. From there it went downhill. Our drinks got mixed up. Meat dishes were good. Sides were below average, with brussel sprouts baked and dry. Spicy green beans were not edible. BBQ sauce at the table was watered down. A disappointing experience.

On Point

By Jason G |

No complaints about any of the meats. All are perfectly smoky, moist, and succulent. They have some more inventive sides like chili Mac and Brunswick stew, all of which are tasty and set them apart from some of the other BBQ places I’ve been. As for the atmosphere, there is minimal on site parking, but you’ll likely be able to find free street parking in the adjacent neighborhood, but you might have to walk a little ways. It was busy when we were there, but there was no wait for a table and the food came out quickly. Definitely worth checking out.

Very good BBQ, for Georgia...

By mttaylor9 |

Very good BBQ, for Georgia... They have their own style and it was tasty. I prefer a sweeter sauce and none of the 4 options were sweet, which I found weird. But the Brisket was good, the wings were huge and the nacho style fries different and yummy.

Good bbq spot tbh.

By lilbjtbh |

On our final day in Atlanta we decided to try some bbq and it was real good tbh. We had a sausage and leinento cheese appetizer and then for food we split turkey and beef brisket and frito pie and wings and French fries and ribs. Just had a good taste of everything. All the food was pretty good. And the food came out super quick too. So a good spot to have a nice quick bite to eat. I enjoyed it and I’d go back.

Nor the Brothers, but the workers

By dearprudenceatl |

I am extremely disappointed with the last two orders from Fox Brothers BBQ. I've been a customer for many years. I've met the Brothers!!! My last two orders was not what a catastrophe! They first they offered a partial refund. Today is ridiculous, I ordered the brisket burgers 2, now they are offering chop. Are you serious! I am very disappointed. Then they offered my husband a double shot of bourbon as recompense. Hello, really, he can be pulled over and charged with DUI. This is u acceptable! So disappointed! Prudence! Remember my name!!!!!

Love the bbq

By Z2165IScarolinep |

We tried it because it’s listed on dives and diners. It did not disappoint. We loved everything we ordered. Some of the best brisket I’ve ever had. The service was great. They were packed and we had food in less than 10 minutes

Great lunch spot!

By Kaitlin S |

Atmosphere was great, friendly waitstaff, delicious food! All of our meals were super yummy and make sure you save room for banana pudding!

Dinner - couple

By Susan S |

Sat at the bar. Great service and excellent food!!! Big portions. Authentic bbq!!! Had ribs . Make sure to get there early before they run out. Once sold out it is done.

OMG RIBS!

By Stephanie W |

You must have the ribs, brisket, wings, jalapeño cornbread and banana pudding. The hose barbecue sauce is OMG!! The ribs are so tender you can eat them with a fork. Sides are okay but the meats are extraordinary!

Best BBQ in Atlanta by Far!

By bksld |

When you think of BBQ...southerners think pig...Texans think cow...Californians think anything cooked outside on a grill. Being from Atlanta I love Fox Bros! The pulled pork is excellent. The brisket is amazing. I have tried many of their menu offerings over the past few years. I always start with the smoked chicken wings! Out of this world! The pulled pork is juicy, tender and full of flavor. The brisket and chopped brisket burger are really good as well for those who want Texas BBQ! The burger is chopped brisket with pimento cheese, onion and pickle. For sides the frito pie, collards and baked beans are my favorites. The service is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and both the indoor and outdoor seating are great. You have to know the windows of opportunity to avoid the lines but the wait is worth it. The only real issue is parking but much of that is due to the neighborhood behind the restaurant which blocks them from adding more spaces. You know a place is good when you have to wait and there is limited parking. Allow yourself a little time and enjoy the experience.

Relax and enjoy

By johnned65 |

I sat at the bar as a solo dinner. Very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The food was out of this world. The best spare ribs I ever had. Pulled pork was tender and juicy. Collard greens made a perfect side. I also tried the Fritos pie .. a fun, flavorful side. A few days after and I’m still thinking about this meal.

Five Stars or more.

By Daniel H |

The team at Fox Bros catered a party for 50 for us. The food was wonderful and the team that served us was fantastic. Great food, fantastic service, both well exceed our expectations. Kudos to Charles and Randy and Collin. Thanks for a great experience.

Loved it

By MGH_7 |

Don't be scared off if parking is limited. Is worth any wait. Had several meats between the two of us and they were all superb. Sides weren't too special but were good. Friendly efficient servers.

Great BBQ here folks.

By libby b |

Outstanding food. Reasonably priced and the appetizers are over the top. Parking is a little difficult depending on when you go. I also would recommend going the the Imperial Lounge a few blocks away. Great dive bar and cheap drinks.

Not what it used to be

By debbie w |

Arrived just before 5 on a Tuesday seated immediately. Service was quick but food was sub par. French fries are no longer hand cut potatoes freshly fried. Frozen crinkle cut Luke warm fries. Fried okra so tough you couldn’t chew it. “Burger” was good but not hot. Brisket and baked beans were good. Disappointing and expensive for what we got.

Not disappointed at all

By JimmyD51961 |

I had seen this place on Triple D and we always try to eat someplace that we have seen when traveling. We went to the Atlanta Zoo and Fox Bros. Was close. The brisket was great, the jalapeño cheddar sausage had great flavor and spice. Baked beans and potato salad were excellent. They are very busy and parking can be a little tricky, and they did put a 75 minute limit on how long we could be there, but do yourself a favor and check it out.

Overall very good BBQ

By Nathan H |

I’d been seeing Fox Bros BBQ after a friend @its_mark_yall shared a pos of theirs and tagged me on it. Since I was near one and had extra time between work & the airport I found this location and gave them a try! My go-to’s for 1st time trying a new BBQ place are #1 brisket & #2 ribs. I tried both and they were excellent, along with their NNQ beams & fries and a great house sauce & spicy sauce. I had also seem they do BBQ bologna (an Oklahoma thing - IYKYK) and decided to try a slice of it too. It was okay, but I highly recommend a trip to @oklahomajoesbbq in Tulsa or Broken Arrow so they can see how great it can be. Overall I really enjoyed it!

Buckhead Location Disappointed

By jeralde |

$50 for two people ( pork sandwich, 1side, drink) for basic mediocre food. Compared to original very disappointed. Overpriced. Will not be back

very good food

By Shanker B |

we ordered through doordash. Delivery was efficient. The food is fantastic. Wet wings were tasty and the cheddar/jalapeno sausages were great. The sides are also fantastic - especially the chilli. highly recommended.

Brilliant!

By PaLaLu |

We wanted to sample real BBQ while in America and this place had good reviews - we Loved it! Really friendly welcome, timely service and food was great! we had fried pickles and jalapenos for the first time- taste sensation! I ordered the Brisket but - but the server brought the "plate" instead which was a much bigger portion - I let her know and not only did she bring out a bun but only charged me for this lower priced item! Brisket was beautiful - ordered from the "fatty" end - wow! Daughter had chicken - just white meat for $1 more - which then came out as 2 full breasts of chicken!!! My wife had the cheese and jalapeno sausage - also great! Place had a great mix of customers, attentive service, well-priced drinks and food and a lovely atmosphere! Would def come back if ever in Atlanta again.

Not Texas, but you wouldn't know...

By Noel K |

Absolutely delicious. Get the fried ribs and burnt ends!! Better than any BBQ we have had, even in Texas. The green beans are 10/10.

Beef Short Rib- Not worth it

I've reviewed Fox brothers before and I am still giving them 4 stars because i have eaten here a lot and its good. I've had their BBQ at festivals and its good. I've used their catering and its good. What was not good was the Beef Short Rib aka the Dinosaur Bone. Maybe i got bad bone, but i was really disappointed. I have always wanted to try it but at $38.00 i felt it was more of a splurge than i wanted. This Sunday i tried it and 85% of the bone was fat. It was mostly uneatable. I like some fat and i know that bone is going to come with some but this was an insane amount. The meat i got off the bone that was not fat was very small. I did enjoy my sides I got the spicy stewed green beans and the fox a roni. Both good. I highly recommend everything else at fox brothers except the Beef Short Rib Bone. I left hungry and disappointed

Worth the Trip

By Guide55766772259 |

Sure, I have a $500 slow-smoke grill on my deck. But I still make the trip from Dunwoody to Decatur's Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q. Once you've tasted their food, you'll understand why. Even though I pass several other barbecue joints along the way, Fox Bros. never disappoints. So, next time you're in the mood for some great barbecue, embrace the Atlanta traffic and enjoy the ride. It's well worth the trip.

Very good food

By greglinmon |

Stopped for dinner. Very good. The service was outstanding. The chicken was moist and easy to eat. Had frito pie and Mac and cheese for sides and coconut cream pie for dessert. All done really well.

Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q

By EvanGuthrie |

Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q on DeKalb Avenue in Atlanta is a great stop for all things Texas BBQ. I liked everything on the menu that I was able to try and especially all of the different meats. I really like the location and the laid back atmosphere where you can really enjoy your meal. It is worth the wait for really good BBQ. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you get everything you need.

Terrible

By JCM2 |

The Mac and cheese was horrible, I really don’t understand why this is the best barbecue place. The food is not that good at all and I definitely will not return, I spent 30.00 for a very unsatisfactory meal

Great place to eat!

By Tom P |

Great food and atmosphere! Lots of food for a great price! Right there with the bbq in Texas and Nashville! Visited my daughter and husband over the Easter weekend and had the Everything combo which included four meats and two sides.

Yummm

By usnwalker |

Stopped in for lunch today at 11! Make sure you get here for indoor seating as it’s limited. Our server Molly was awesome. We got the Texecutioner, Mac and cheese, tots with pimento cheese, frito pie, jalapeño cornbread, fox-a-roni, chicken fried ribs, and chopped brisket (& sweet tea of course). Literally everything was delicious, my only complaint is I got full before I finished everything. A must do while in ATL!

Great food!

By FloraIII |

We were in town to judge a BBQ contest and had to pre-game with BBQ. This place is awesome. Really good brisket, pork, chicken and ribs. The sausage was nice also. Waitress was fantastic. Nothing bad to say about Fox Bros.

Awesome bbq

By peigara |

The food is delicious and cheap. We had the short rib and the brisket and it was sooooo good. Desserts are very good too

Perfect BBQ

By Morpheus25 |

Son and I ate here for the first time while visiting Atlanta. 10/10. Perfect. Everything and more than we hoped for after seeing the reviews. Best BBQ either of us have ever had. Everything we tried was perfect. Very little, if any, sugar added. Everything was cooked to perfection. Waitress was “on it” too, she was amazing. Explained everything in a very friendly outgoing way. We had both types of brisket, pulled pork and chicken, tots with cheese, spicy green beans, collard greens and mac and chili. Each was better/more perfect than the last.

Above Average BarBQ

By MovingPics |

My hubby LOVES BarBQ so he is always interested in checking out Atlanta BarBQ restaurants. We were able to grab an outdoor table in a pleasant November day for a late lunch. I got a fatty brisket and pulled pork combo meal with frito pie and Mac and cheese. He got the Brunswick stew over Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back, and will be bringing visitors.

Great taste of authentic bbq

By Galilayo79 |

Was visiting Atlanta from out of town, and Fox Brothers was recommended by a local. We were able to walk in for lunch on a Sunday, which I hear is not an easy thing to do. Things quickly got busier, and when we left, there was a significant wait. Service was great. Ordered ribs, Frito pie, and mac. The food came really quickly. Mac quickly got cold, which was a a bummer. Ribs were fantastic, as was the Frito pie. Would definitely recommend.

Didn't live up to the hype...

By lenflady |

We finally had the chance to try the highly recommended Fox Bros BBQ. This is a very casual place so you only need to be presentable. Staff was friendly throughout. My complaints: overall, the food is overrated IMO. The cornbread is delicious! I had fried ribs and they were tasty, but a bit too much grease on my stomach; Mac n cheese was average; collard greens were spicy and contained a lot of stems; beef brisket had an odd taste so my hubby didn't finish it. I don't know how they operated before COVID, but you have to get up from your table and place your order at the bar. Staff will bring drinks, your food when ready, and check on you from time to time. Sit inside if you want to avoid rain. We had an outside table that was partially under cover. It started to rain so I asked to scoot the table over some so that it was completely under cover. Due to COVID-19, I wasn't allowed to do that. We were spaced apart pretty well from what I could see. The closest table was more than 6' away so a few inches to the left didn't seem to be a big to me. I was told I'd have to go back to the hostess for an inside table when available. Overall, the food was generally decent but just didn't live up to the hype...

Out Foxed

By Hank956 |

Wow, blew my taste buds. Sat at the bar and Taylor was a God send. She asked some questions and helped me decide. Stuck between the short rib and the rib +1, she gave me suggestions on the sides and glad she did. Settled on the green beans and fox and roni. Got my book out and before i could get through the 1st page, my plate came out, DAMN. Ordered the spare ribs and moist brisket. DAMN again. The brisket was so moist and no sour smoke taste, reminded me of Texas. The spare ribs we moist and pulled off the bone puRRRfect. Again moist, great dark smoke color and no bitter smoke taste, DOUBLE DAMN. The sides, the green beans and then some, they had potatoes and were spicy, DAMN again, missing home now.... The stew with mac and cheese concoction was delicious. Sat at the Bar, TV was on, Taylor was GREAT and the food was TREMENDOUS. WOW, blew my mind. Ranking this my 2nd best BBQ ever, and maybe a tie for 1st. Fox Bros, MAGNIFICENT job. A TRULY smack somebody BBQ.

Impressive BBQ

By Wend Jay |

This place is a little of the beaten path but well worth the trek. The parking situation can be a little frustrating but if once you taste the food, you will forget all about the hassle. The pork and the chicken were some of the best I have had anywhere, and there were some many off the wall options. The Frito pie was something I have never seen served in a restaurant. I ended my meal with an amazing banana pudding, on par with some of the best I have ever had. A great little gem.

Favorite BBQ spot in Atlanta

By David L |

coming from Texas, we know BBQ, and Fox Bros is it! we always go there when we visit our daughter.....absolutely delicious....fried okra so good and served as whole, not cut up....favorites are ribs, chicken and brisket, but everything is smoked and tender, falling off the bone.....wow!

great bbq and great service

By Greg W |

FIrst time we have eaten there. Food was great and cooked perfectly. I recommend the sliced brisket. The sausage and pimento cheese appetizer was terrific but it really filling so watch out! The wait staff is top notch. Do yourself a favor and try it.

Great BBQ!

By bostonfamilydoc |

Went here with friends when visited Atlanta. The brisket and pulled pork were excellent! Collard greens were good as well, now too salty as another recent review said. Food came out in a reasonable time, though didn't feel rushed. Parking looked difficult, so if visiting, take a Lyft or Uber.

So good!

By Karalee A |

We have been here twice now. It’s great food, it’s always busy but worth the wait. They are fast and great customer service.

Great lunch

By jancarr2013 |

I went there for lunch on a short visit to Atlanta. The food was good and so was the service. I even got a bottle of sauce to take home. The ribs were tender and delicious!

Wanted to be impressed but wasn’t

By Caroli278 |

Heard so many positive things about Fox Bros. BBQ that we couldn’t wait to go there on our trip to Atlanta. The staff was great...the food not so much. Our food arrived at our table within minutes of ordering...great service...but everything was barely warm. Nothing worse than cold Mac n Cheese and Tater Tots. Maybe ours was the only cold meal served but won’t return next time we’re in Atlanta.

Truly amazing BBQ! Yummmmmm

By DebMey11 |

Honestly sooo good. We loved everything! The ribs and brisket were incredible. And the Fox-a-,coni was just yum. Be sure to get a Dr. pepper Cake for dessert. Our server was amazing too!

Quite possibly the best BBQ you will eat!

By R.O.B. |

I love BBQ and have tried BBQ from many places across the country and Fox Bros is some of the best I have eaten. The quality is great, the atmosphere was awesome and it was one of those places we keep wanting to go back to. If you like BBQ you won't be disappointed.

Excellent Southern BBQ

By Daya M |

The Brisket Burnt Ends special is amazing! Best brisket “burger” ever! The Atlanta Gin is also fantastic!

1st time

By Adam E |

Got the wings for an appetizer, they were decently flavored but very well cooked, the meat pulled right off the bone! Got half smoked chicken (good but salty), collard greens (not the greatest), potato salad was good. They have a heavy based vinegar sauce that I couldn’t get enough of!

Had to come to one of Guy's restaurants!!1

By Diane N |

Checked into our hotel room, and the in laws were hungry. Asked the front desk lady, and she told us about Fox Bros. BB!Q. SO good!! We ordered a few different things so we could all share, and yummy! The chopped brisket was tender and delicious, the ribs were fall of the bone yum!! I ordered the chicken salad with the bbq vinaigrette, and it had just the right amount of spice. The brunswick stew was perfect for my father in law!! All the sides were equally amazing! Guy did it again!

Excellent BBQ

By BayAreaWine |

A delight in the world of BBQ. A vast array of tasty options and efficient service combine two make this place a must visit when in the area. Every dish I tried was delicious. They took cleanliness seriously and I was at ease dining here. Great job!

Yummy meat!!

By Josh |

Yummy!! We had the Texas Fries as an appetizer, two combo #1 (2 meats and 2 sides) and a pulled pork platter with a sweet tea, beer, and water. The total was $91. Ribs were really good, brisket was just right, pulled pork was kinda fatty. But overall, we’d go back!

Phenomenal Ribs

By Rosson45 |

Phenomenal ribs. Well done, fall off the one tender ribs, properly smoked and with excellent sauce. Other items and sides are pretty typical barbecue joint offerings. Be prepared to wait and plan to allow time to find a parking place - it’s typically mobbed.

Great bbq in a funky location

By Madame_Trey |

Visited Fox Bros for lunch at their Westside location. I loved the open plan, industrial look of the huge restaurant space. Upon arrival, our welcome was non existent. The hosts seemed exhausted and unbothered. At least, once we were seated, our server Ethan turned things around with boundless energy. We ordered a mix of bbq platters and it is really was as good as the bbq reviews I had read. The food came out quickly, presented beautifully. I loved the brisket with added spicy sauce and also loved the spicy green beans. My only observation was an appearance of a lack of overall supervision. Tables were being left uncleaned, clients had to wait to have their bills processed extra. This aside, the food was really good.

So good!

By patrick d |

The food was amazing! We started with the wings. They were great. I had ribs/brisket with slaw and tater tots. So much food. My son had the burger, it looked awesome. Fun place. The only drawback is the parking is very limited.

Believe the hype

By George P |

Landed in time for a late lunch in ATL and wanted to have some southern food/BBQ. This spot popped up on the list and had to try. Reviews are right on point although it’s a bit off the beat and path. If you are hungry go for the 3 item plate or larger as I only wanted a “light lunch” and the 2 item did me good. Great portions and the Mac and cheese & brussel sprouts were a great accompaniment to my ribs and certifies fresh angus brisket. Topped it off with a local IPA. Certainly a spot for some good ATL BBQ!

Mouthwatering meats and sides

By Sheena F |

The service was fast and the food was hot. I was on a business trip with coworkers and the food was amazing. I ordered the BC Combo with three meats and two sides. There was almost too much food for one person to eat, which in my opinion is never a bad thing.

Good

By Kkc |

Great food, great service a little expensive for one person but overall great and would definitely go again

Great meal and service

By genealogist42 |

We came here for dinner about 7PM on a Thursday evening, and the place was busy, but we were seated right away. I had the Fox Bros. "burger", which I would not get again, not because it wasn't good, but because it was just too rich for me. The brisket, bacon, pimento cheese, and jalapeno mayo were too much altogether. Someone else in my party ordered the brisket by itself, which I tried, and I probably should have gone with that. Delicious! We also ordered fried pickles as an appetizer, and couldn't finish them between two of us. LOTS of pickles! Either order them as a meal or have a large group to share them with. They were really good, though. Service was friendly and prompt. I would come here again.

Great BBQ and sides

By OrrMcc |

Pulled pork is wonderfully smoked and tender. The place has a very cool Atmosphere. I really liked their selection of their own sauces

Racism

By Traveler32585394834 |

My husband and I and my 70 year old aunt were dining and experienced racism for the second time. I spent too much money to ignore. Black people please don’t spend your money there.

Brunswick Stew too sweet!

By Gbpeachmom |

Recently had carryout at Fox Brothers. Found baked beans and Brunswick stew way to sweet. I make Brunswick stew pretty often and never ever add sugar to it.. thats against the law! Baked beans were pure brown sugar. Meats were all average.

Atlanta BBQ

By Tony T |

With any good BBQ the pit-master delivers consistent smoked meats which Fox Bro does. The second element is great sauces and seasoning which is superb. The last element is service which I have experienced as good but I always get take-out. Since they sell their sauces and rubs I can re-create their BBQ without having to go inside the Perimeter.

I challenge you to find worse BBQ...

By Thump T |

The food is bad and the service is worse. Maybe the bad service is supposed to be part of the charm but that would presume the food is worth it. It's not. The BBQ is dry and over-cooked. Further, our $84 order was missing a bowl of Brunswick stew and a cup of brisket chili, accounting for $13 of the total bill. They make it simply too much trouble to even attempt to get something like this fixed. The staff behave as if it's us against them. How is it possible this place has a good reputation? Don't waste your time here, but if you do, don't complain that you weren't warned.

BQ ATL Must Visit

By Ralphphoto |

BQ lover must stop in ATL! Great waitress Jenny took wonderful care. We ate through the majority of the menu. Meat sampling platter option yummy way to try all you want and good to share. Save room for banana pudding!!!

Amazing BBQ and great service

By ali |

We stopped here on our last night in Atlanta, and I’m so glad we did. Delicious BBQ and the sides were yummy. Our server, Marissa, was friendly, quick, and attentive. I had a combo plate with brisket, pulled pork, chicken, baked beans, and spicy green beans. Overall a great experience. Will be back on our next trip through.

Takes Forever and You Won't Get What You Ordered

By Trey S |

No BBQ is worth waiting 2 hrs. and 27 minutes. And it was just a take-out order...which I called in an hour and 45 minutes earlier My situation was not an isolated incident; I stood there with a crowd of people who had all been waiting 2+ hours. Then once they finally gave me a bag full of my order and I finally got to my parents house with the food, we noticed they had shorted us 3 items. So I tried to call; long wait...waited on hold for over 30 mins, then they disconnected me. So I called back and tried "pushing any number on the keypad" to wait for a callback...which they promise. But nobody every called. This restaurant is just a poor experience all the way around. I will not be back, and even if I wanted to, apparently half a day of time would be needed to get a meal, and it won't be everything I ordered. Pathetic.

YUM!

By Fountain's Food Adventures |

YUM! Their barbecue plates are so good! Their barbecue sauce is a nice tangy balance, and it pairs so well with their meats. The atmosphere and food are overall very good, and I hope to return in the future.

Super BBQ

By Wes M |

Had late lunch so that we would miss the crowd....being from Texas, we weren't sure what to expect but was the food amazing. I had the pulled pork and brisket and my wife had the pork as well and we could not believe how good it was, moist and very flavorful. Plus I tried the brunswick stew and it was so good that I purchased a quart to being back to Texas. Wish the Fox Bros were closer, Texas sure lost a great BBQ option.

Me and my fiancé having lunch

By warrenmcc |

My fiancé and I went for lunch. Sat immediately. Server came over. Placed our order. She was very nice. Suggested some items. Got the order. It was not correct. But immediately she replaces the items. Enjoyed it all. Food was delicious. Service was great. Loved the entire experience. We Will return.

Great BBQ

By Clifford G |

Excellent pork ribs, fall off the bone delicious! Best I have ever eaten. Fast service. Very busy place, even at 3 pm on a Saturday. Parking is very limited.

Delicious

By Yuvi925 |

Delicious food served hot. The fried pickles were not greasy at all. My daughter and son said the rub on the ribs was very good. The brisket was good too. The pork sandwich and Mac n cheese was very tasty.

Came for the Burger

By krogersku |

Stopped here on vacation as Fox Bros. BBQ was recently awarded the best hamburger in America. Don’t get me wrong, the sandwich is good. However, it is a chopped brisket sandwich. It is not a hamburger at all! Fox Bros. BBQ serves Texas style barbecue. Overall it was solid Texas barbecue in the heart of Atlanta.

Great food and service

By Daniel C |

This is one of the best bbq I have ever eaten. The parking can be a bit tight. It looks like is always busy which is good. Had half a rack and some fried ribs it was amazing. Had some white sauce very tasty.

Great.

By El Dorado |

This place is great. As with an bbq place my advice is not to be a hero, gotta order tried and true dishes. Pulled pork brisket etc are excellent. Mac and cheese etc etc. the service is fantastic everyone is nice and helpful which isn’t always the case at established places.

Guy Fieri was right - This place is great.

By nitlionfan |

Some of the best barbecue I've had. Ribs had great flavor without being drowned in sauce. The side dishes are great too, and don't leave without trying the brisket chili.

Some South In Your Mouth

By Poorotis D |

A few years ago got hooked on BBQ and specifically smoking. Had some burnt ends in a joint just outside of Buffalo, NY which has since closed so in search of the Holy Grail. As I travel the south in search of that one place there is one that continues to draw me back whenever I am in Atlanta. FOX 🦊 Brothers hands down the best as I am a brisket kinda guy and this melts in your mouth. They don't bury it in some over spiced sauce, but allow you to savor the flavor. It's a dive joint with high end flavor and a great staff. Tonight as I sat at the bar the tender found some balance and did a great job. So make the trip

Take out pork was terrible!!

By Dan A |

I had lunch there this week with a great friend. My half chicken was great but the pound of pulled pork I ordered to bring home was unbelievably awful. It was dry and tasteless. I smoke pork butts on my Traeger that are 10 times better. So disappointing!!

Great food but dry pulled pork

By Cinnamon |

We drove one hr just to try their food because we saw this restaurant was featured in 3 Ds.. the service was very good and the food was also good but the pulled pork was really dry. This place is pack everyday.

How Does A Bar-B-Que Restaurant Run Out Of Ribs

By cbuford609 |

I was in town for business and stumbled upon Fox Brothers when looking for somewhere to eat at. It was approximately 630pm and they were out of ribs, so I got the chopped brisket(dry), wings, jalapeno sausage and pulled pork with baked beans and mac & cheese. The meat was cold, and the sides were nothing to write home about. Fox Brothers BBQ is definitely overrated.

Great food!!

By Amanda L |

The food was great. I had the chopped brisket, baked beans, and potato salad and my husband had the ribs, fries, & Mac & cheese. We also had the pimento cheese and sausage for an appetizer. We sat on the patio outside and it was wonderful.

A take out meal

By J G |

I think they have expanded too much and it shows in the price of the food. When a small meal for Two including tip and no alcohol is $50.00 I will probably take my $$ somewhere else.

Average Ga Q

By srb1996 |

Visiting Atl we had to try their top bbq joint. Set on Braves stadium in baseball world I call it. Nice location nice building excellent staff however it’s just typical Ga BBQ. The winning dish however would be the true jalapeños dipped on ranch the slice was tamed down and the flavor kicked up not a bad bbq experience

Great BBQ Confirmed

By Christian |

My friend and I were looking for good BBQ in Atlanta and this place is the place to go! I had a great pulled pork sandwich and my friend a combo meat plate. I also sampled the Dr Pepper chocolate cake because why not and I was not disappointed in the combination of two great things. When back in Atlanta, I will return again!

Good service, OK BBQ

By Road_Warrior32034 |

Many months ago, we tried to eat at this restaurant and the line was way too long. Undaunted, we arrived a little before they officially opened to ensure we got an inside table. Parking can be challenging, especially after they are in full swing. There are additional parking spaces on a nearby ramp if the lot is full. They have a few outside tables, but outdoor dining in mid-August found no appeal for our traveling trio. Masks were required to be worn on the walk to the table, but not after being seated at the table. They must be using the new pandemic compliment tables with an active Covid force field around them. This is a no-cash establishment and payments must be made by credit or debit cards only. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Our order was accurately filled, delivered in a timely fashion, while still hot. The staff appeared to be sharing tasks seamlessly. We had the Texas Terminator with Brunswick Stew side, Pulled Pork Sandwich with collard greens and a Pulled Pork Plate with baked beans and Chili Mac. The general opinion was that the pulled pork and squeeze bottle sauces were OK, but pretty routine. The Chili Mac was less exciting. The collard greens had a little spice in them and were good. The beans were excellent and enjoyed by all. In fact, it was so good, we ordered two pints to take with us. The Brunswick stew was good. The best thing about the Terminator was the generous supply of diagonally cut sausage that was on top of the pulled pork.

Solid BBQ spot

By Louis F |

Excellent BBQ spot serving all your standard BBQ meats. Plenty of beer on tap and mixed drinks as well. Great little spot with a parking lot along with street parking as well.

Outstanding

By Susan S |

Love this place.. a trip to Atlanta is not complete without a trip to fox bro. Everything on the menu is flavorful and good. Large portions so come hungry! You can’t go wrong with any thing on the menu

Family’s Favorite BBQ

By Jeff N |

This has become a family favorite! Best ribs anywhere, amazing brisket, incredible sides: Mac & cheese, frito pie, jalapeño corn bread, Brunswick stew, to name a few. Perfectly prepared, never dry or overcooked, good variety of sauces and craft beers and cider!

Cold meat

By abacchante |

Yuck! After seeing many good reviews, we went to the Brookhaven location to see what all the fuss was about. We were very disappointed. The meat is served cold. There are only two sandwiches on the menu (a $17 "fatty" brisket sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich). The rest was just served as slabs of cold meat on a tray. The sauces were super vinegary and bitter with no sweetness at all. The baked beans and Cole slaw were the only good things we got. Luckily, the baked beans were piping hot, so I dipped my meat in them to warm it up. The green beans looked liked they'd been cooked for days - pale yellow and mushy - and were full of potato, onion and tomatoes which was not disclosed on the menu. We definitely won't be back.

Extraordinary ribs

By Rosson45 |

I’m a rib fan. I’ve attended many BBQ cook offs, and sampled many award-winning barbecued spare ribs. None have been any better and some weren’t even close to the ribs ar Fox Brothers’ Barbecue. Exceptional. Stew was very good.

Great BBQ

By summerfish1971 |

Sat outside on a nice evening, waitress was great, offering suggestions. Tried a few of the combo plates, ribs, wings and pulled pork were favorites. It isn't a fussy place, 2 BBQ sauces, regular and hot, both good. We enjoyed it so much went back a second time during our stay in Atlanta

Best bbq in Atlanta

By Ricky M |

Oh my! Its all I can say because just thinking about the food is making my mouth fill with saliva. Country fried rubs!?! YES PLEASE!!! Must go if you are in Atlanta. I WILL be coming back when I am in town again.

Pretty Solid, but not worth driving out of you way for

By crazistevoh |

Pretty solid bbq food in the Atlanta.. The brisket was quite tasty for the sandwich I had. Mags loved the mac and cheese although some reviews dont care for it.. Ribs were great. Service was just ok, nothing special.. Parking lot is cramped, so if you dont find a stop, there could be a walk involved.. If you are in the area, stop by, but dont make a special trip for this place.

RUN THERE!

By mduque2339 |

Visited this location on a recent trip to Atlanta because of all the great reviews and you all did not disappoint! We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the wait was over an hour for dining in due to less tables because of covid (I presume). They had a tent set up to take online & to go orders so we ordered online and waited in the car for our food which was ready in about 45 minutes. After the long wait we were all starving but everything was absolutely delicious! We had the ribs, brisket chili, smoked wings (wet), and tater tots smothered in cheese and some kind of stew (sounds weird but so good). We devoured our food in the car in absolute silence and enjoyed every bite! We will definately be returning next time we're in Atlanta, this place is a must see!!!

Great smoky bbq and friendly service

By Cindy L |

I'm glad we stopped here. Parking was near full and tight, but I was happy we came for an early dinner. We were told a 20-minute wait, but it was more like 5 minutes. We had a comfortable table indoors, but their outdoor seating had heaters. We ordered the 4 meat platter with brisket, ribs, pulled pork & 1/4 chicken with fries and brussel spouts. Brussel sprouts were roasted and tossed with vinegar and cheese crumbles. All was delish! All the meats moist and well seasoned. Sauces were not needed. Our son ordered the chicken fried ribs with mac'n'cheese and fries. He said they were all good as well. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. The decor was eclectic.

Best bbq in town

By Michael W |

I am a Tennessee native from Knoxville and moved to atlanta for work. Being a Tennessee native, I know bbq and know it well. I also travel for work all the time and have had bbq from all over. What I have to say about fox brothers is that it is one of the best bbq places I have ever had and is definitely the best that Atlanta has to offer. I would recommend the chopped brisket and pulled pork. One of my favorite sides is the smoked brisket chilli. I have also heard really good things about the fox-a-mac. In closing I grew up making bbq trying bbq and now traveling and having it all over the states. It doesnt get much better than fox. When I heard about it I thought there was too much hype and it would live up to the hype, but it went above and beyond my expectations.

Best bbq and wings

By Michelle R |

Wings were the best I've ever had. Also the chili mac n cheese and the ribs and sausage and the Frito pie! Heavenly.. g

Brilliant BBQ

By stevea5757 |

My son and I both had very good pulled pork platters with excellent sides, especially the Brisket Chili and Chili Mac. One minor opportunity for improvement would be the sauces, which weren’t as thick as I’d like.

Fox brother BBQ,The sugar factory

By Keldrick P |

Some of the best barbecue cornbread on the side menu I ever had, The sugar factory in downtown Atlanta was great too

Great BBQ and side dishes.

By ccriderYVR |

Great BBQ and side dishes. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the patio seating. The restaurant is located next to the train tracks and not much else around the area. They have limited parking as it is a residential area from what I can tell. We were told 20 to 30 minute wait. They take your phone number and text you when your table is ready. We went to the bar and had a beer while we waited. 10 min later we got a table outside. We ordered the beef rib which is almost $40 but it’s a lot of meat on the bone. We also got their BC combo which is 3 meats from a selection. We did pulled pork, 1/4 chicken and wings. Sides of collard greens, coleslaw, potatoes salad and corn bread. The meat was juicy, succulent and good flavour. Some of it was fatty but that should be expected if you want the flavour. Great experience and enjoyed the food. Will go back the next time in ATL.

Delicious

By ccrawford123 |

I had the brisket which was wonderful, and the sides were amazing as well, jalapeno stuffing and homedtyle sweet potato fries. Have already told all my work buddies about this place

Authentically good!

By Sam36526 |

Husband-wife-15y daughters. All agreed it was really great BBQ. Great meats, not drowned in sauce to cover inadequacy. We have a chick-itarian who will not eat other meats. She raves about the smoked chicken salad sandwich. Picky #2 ate her whole sandwich and 1/2 a baker of tots. Hubby had combo, I had brisket loaded fries (it’s an app) way too much food, relaxed atmosphere. Kids, young professional types and seniors- diverse crowd. Attentive happy staff, lively place. If I lived here, it would be on the regular rotation.

Great meats, "okay" sides, slightly expensive

By Scotty1000 |

Very good meats, barbequed. Great smell driving anywhere near this place. And very busy, it's a fight to park your car here in the few parking spaces; lines commonly form to get in the door. The $30 rib rack is a fair price, and the ribs a subtle sweet, almost no spice. Excellent flavor. The sides I tried are a mixed bag- e.g. the potato salad is mushy and bland, the Cole slaw dry and nondescript brisket chili tastes very good but they forgot onions and cheese on mine. The famous jalapeno cornbread is great but comes in small, tiny? portions at elevated prices. Need to have a sweet potato option. The biggest drawback is it seems a bit overpriced, e.g. $3 for one piece of cornbread, small, tight portions of [excellent] meats on the combination plate cost nearly $37 with tax no drink, dessert and not enough cornbread. Slightly overpriced. I was a bit annoyed they charged me .30 for two "extra" pieces of bread on a $90 order and included a $1.50 "takeout fee" (which I did not see disclosed anywhere). The service was friendly and competent and they gave us water while waiting. They did forget the included bread in one order. Overall profile: great meats, mostly okay sides, slightly high prices. Adequate to friendly service.

Fabulous Smoked Barbeque +... BUT!

Those collard greens are way to SALTY!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE less salt. I couldn't even eat them they were that salty! PLEASE, let people add their own salt! Unless you love salty food DO NOT ORDER THESE COLLARD GREENS you'll be dissapointed only because there's a ton of salt on them! You can add salt but you can't take it out. I hope the restaurant listens to this review in particular. Some may be too bashful to mention it but this definitely needs to change - less salt please. I'll never order the collard greens again - it's truly a waste of money.

Great BBQ

Food exceeded expectations! All the meats were cooked to perfection, very tender, and tasty. Not overly cooked or seasoned. Plenty of food, come hungry.

Holy cow this was GOOD!

What a cool place and great food. We got the 4 meat platter and couldn't a picture fast enough before we started digging in. Ribs, chicken and brisket were 'melt in your mouth' delicious. Sides were spot on too. Parking could be an issue, not many spots. We ended up on street just before you turn and see Fox's. Make this trip, you will not regret it.

No.

No parking. Fat throughout the food. Waaaaay too much fat. Slimy brisket. Tasteless potato salad. Small portions. Service slow. I don't care how much hype there is. Often times hype is hollow. And Fox Bros. is an example of just that. Won't go back. Too many other great options in north Ga. for barbecue.

Average BBQ for the South

Not sure what style BBQ it is. Definitely was dry rub but not the seasoning forward style of TX. Meat was tender but not a ton of flavor. Mac and cheese was alright but a bit gummy tasting. Potato salad had a nice crunch. I liked the wings the most. Overall just missing sauce or seasoning. Definitely had a lot better BBQ in other cities.

YUM!!!

Oh my god...so good! I had the Fox Bros. Burger with a side of Frito Pie. The Burger was delicious. And the Frito Pie...wow! I'd never heard of this and gobbled it all up. It's a great place. Don't think about it...just go!

Awesome BBQ / Collard Greens

By Keith A |

We went on a Sunday night and there was a 30 minute wait. I was told by our waitress that in the summer time the wait is twice as long and I can see why. Ambience was a little dark, noise level was a little high, and seating space was good. We were warmly greeted. Our waitress explain the menu and we placed our order. For a busy night our food arrived in 7 to 10 minutes and everything was HOT! All of our food was AMAZINGLY GOOD. Please see pictures. The collard greens were especially good. I rate this place a solid 5 stars!!! You can not go wrong stopping in for a bite to eat. I will definently go back!

The high review scores are no accident folks...

Delicious BBQ. I've eaten here 4 times thus far. Only once (recently) I got some dry pieces, and going by recent reviews, this appears to be the problem of someone(s) in the kitchen who needs to be reminded to leave the dry meat off the guest's plate. Again, overall, delicious BBQ. These folks know what they're doing and it shows in the flavors. I don't think I've had a side offering of theirs that I didn't like. Be warned though, the collards pack some heat to them. If you have room, don't forget to try that banana pudding, you'll be glad you did. Parking is very tight and very limited. Some staff members severely lack enthusiasm but, come out of their shells with a little coaxing. If you sit near the windows along the front, watch out overhead for drip leaks from the AC vent ducts. Hopefully this issue is addressed quickly.

Excellent bbq

My husband and I stopped here for lunch while we were in Atlanta. We were there around 2 so we didn't have a wait. There weren't any empty tables though. I think this place is probably busy all day and absolutely packed at night. We ordered a beer and two meals with a side of cornbread. I ordered the frito pie as well. Everything we had was excellent. Definitely worth a stop when you're in the area! The service was good (our food came out in minutes).

Takeout ribs were AMAZING! Highly recommend for those who are staying at the airport and need something delicious for dinner. We ordered through one of the delivery places (DoorDash, I think)

Every single time I come to the ATL I need to stop here! Brisket and pulled pork are my go-to. The simplicity of the flavors and the funky decorations make it worth the 12-hour drive!

First time at Fox Bros BBQ, great discovery

By Luis U |

I was in Atlanta with my family visiting my sister (we all came from Peru). I asked her if she could take me to a typical bbq place (Back home I watched a lot of netflix programs about food, being pit master one of them....so I wanted to give it a try). All of us ordered something different, so we got to taste a bit of everything. Briskets were veeeery tender and with the right amount of spice, same with the ribs and the other meats. The sides were ok. The bill was around $200 (including tip) for a party of 7, which is $28 on average per person (some of us had beers, they are more expensive than the regular sodas) It was a great experience after all....the place wasn´t really fancy, but we were there for the food which is why i rate my overall experience 5 stars.

Amazing food with. Just get there early

First time in Atlanta and had plans to eat at Fox Bros BBQ from the time we planed our trip. We almost did not make it since we finished our day later than anticipated . We were going to call it an early night. But the decision to go was the right one. Since we arrived later that evening they had already run out of some items ( get there early if you want to sample the ribs) . Started with the jalapeño cheddar sausage with pimento dip. One of the best pimento dips I had in a while. For the main we went with the brisket. Very tender and the taste was on point. Warning the sides are huge and delicious. You will leave stuffed. This place did not disappoint. Great barbecue. A must for BBQ fans.

Sold out of ribs, brisket, and green beans

By krawner |

Popular tourist bbq spot with outdoor and indoor seating. By Sunday 7PM, they had already sold out of all ribs, green beans, and sliced brisket. Better get there early. Fried pickles and jalapenos were delicious. Bbq platters were ok. Ribs were dry and tough. Banana pudding was good but could use more bananas. I have had better bbq at other places. Doesn’t take reservations.

DELICIOUS

We visited the location in The Works today. The food and service was amazing! Our server was great! She was attentive and recommended some great items!

Inconsistent and going downhill.

Inconsistent and going downhill. Have been coming here for 5+ years, getting worse each year. Too many great bbq places in atlanta to come here anymore, feels like theyre not even trying, just relying on their name and tourism.
