I grew up on this!

By Michael R |

I have lived in Miami for about 20 years, and when i was little, my mom and dad would get Frankie's for dinner for us when they were going out to dinner. It really is some of the best pizza i have ever had. It is a Sicilian type of pizza with a thicker crust and is rectangular, not round. The taste is "out of site", as my Uncle used to say. I wish I could find something similar to this in Seattle. Do yourself a favor and try them! You'll thank me!

Soooo good.

By Cab04 |

The only qualms I have with this place is the hours. The crust is amazing buttery and delicious and I hate eating the crust on pizza. It seriously is the best pizza I've had in Miami.

Good

By FoodLover7000 |

Frankie's pizza is a different look and taste . The pepperoni and cheese pizza is my favorite. The pizza isn't out of this world but it is good.

Must Try!

By Illy1108 |

I grew up in Miami and have been coming here for years. Nothing ever changes, you can always count on consistency at Frankie's. They use only top quality ingredients and the pizza is well, just unique and delicious. Had to have my NY husband try and he loved it, Not in a NY slice kinda way, cause Frankie's is way different, but he really appreciated the blend of cheeses and the amazing crispyness of the crust. I will always love Frankies and will always come back on visits.

I'll Take 20 Pizza's To Go

By Mel_Medd |

Really, I need to move away from this place because it's just too good! Family owned business. Opened for 55 years – Known for the finest Italian Pizza in town. You like it that much? Order a half-baked to take back home. Don't forget to order their garlic breads with some extra garlic sauce to go. The best Italian Pizza around town!

Not good. Don't get the hype

By Lexer75 |

I have lived in the area all my life. I tried this pizza 25 years ago and it sucked. I tried it yesterday and it sucked. My son, on his own, said it wasn't good. Just a plain cheese pizza and it just tasted like cardboard. I don't get the hype with place. It's doing well anyways, just not for me. Expensive too.

BEST MIAMI PIZZA

By tczig |

This family-owned, neighborhood take-out pizza joint is as much a Miami landmark as it is a fantastic pizza place! It still has the original owners and is in the original building it was in when it was established. It is take-out only. The kids who work there are efficient, hard-working and very friendly. I have been coming here for some 30+ years. The pizza is fantastic! The crust is very unique and delicious, as is the sauce. It always comes out piping hot and ready to dig into. I love it. I order mine "well done" and they perfectly accommodate that request. Miami has a lot of fancy-schmancy pizza restaurants, but this is truly Miami's best pizza! Prices are extremely reasonable! While I love the pizza, I also love that it is family-owned and operated; I love supporting local small businesses. They have never changed anything about it. They made a good thing over 50 years ago and stuck with it. No need for change. Frankies doesn't really need my endorsement. They are always busy and that is because customers come back again and again and again for good pizza. The only other thing I have had is the garlic rolls. OH YUM! They, too, are so good. Get a pizza from here - get some garlic rolls - believe me, you will become a regular just like me!

Best Pizza in Miami

By aanthony1 |

Its deep(ish) dish but only the very bottom is crunchy, which leads to an awesome texture in my opinion. Have had every pizza place in the Gables/south miami/kendall area and always willing to drive a bit farther to get some frankies.

A Big Disappointment!

By Larry S |

As an ex-New Yorker, I found the pizza mediocre at best. There is very limited seating so pizza is meant to be taken out. You can even get it half-baked and finish the process at home. We ordered the fully baked cheese pie and took it home. It was greasy and the crust was like cardboard. They were stingy with the cheese and tomato saude. Considering the great reviews this place gets, perhaps I expected too much? It was very disappointing. I prefer The Big Cheese on Ludlam near 80th Street or Il Villagio in Dadeland or Merrick Park. My first and last visit to Frankie's.

Best "Take Out Pizza" in the area,

By opalmajr |

Frankie's Pizza has been around since 1955. I have been a customer since 1978, The food is great. I suggest that when you order whichever type of pizza you want make it a crispy type pizza. Excellent flavor, quality fresh ingredient and fairly priced. Higly recommend it.

Best Pizza hands down...A Miami Institution!

By Joseph S |

If you love pizza, the old fashioned square pieces, then Frankie's is hands down the best! Same location for over 60 years in old Miami (Westchester neighborhood). Have a hot dog and fries at Arbetter's and then go to Frankie's or vice versa (as they are very close to each other). The Pepperoni is my favorite and they will make a half-baked too. Takeout only...A treasured Miami institution is a must for locals and/or out of towners! Enjoy...

I've had better.

By Snick3rzz |

I don't see how people vote this as the best pizza in Miami. I've lived here my whole life and had better pizza than this. I usually order a slice at my favorite pizza joint and come out satisfied. Here I got a square and immediately started looking for somewhere else to eat. All this hype for nothing. Didn't like it. Sorry.

Great Pie!

By Captain Charles G |

An old favorite of mine and monthly craving. Never a bad pizza from here. Friendly staff, and don't forget the extra slice to go!

Awesome pizza

By Jose M |

This place never disappoints. Love there pizza. Would recommend for all you pizza lovers out there..

Very disappointed

By Ja Bu |

After hearing the rave reviews and stories from friends, I decided to go and try it out. The pizzeria was small and quaint but the service was great an quick. The pizza on the other hand was another question. The slices reminded me of school slices but the taste was ok at best. I have tried better pizza and sorry to say that I will not be coming back. The kids did not like it, it was too greasy and the garlic bread was doused in oil. Never again.

Yummy and Delish

By gec1003 |

We ordered online. Pizza was ready when we arrived. Pizza place has been around for quite some time. Used to go eat at Frankie's Pizza back when I was in High School. lol Pizza was great. Not greasy. Crunchy crust.

Great pizza always!

By Joeluba |

Grew up in this neighborhood and I have been going to Frankie's since I could only ride a bike, 1979. They were nice to me as a kid to only sell me a small slice for 50 cents. Now As an adult I take my wife and kids and they love it. The original thin and crispy. This is an institution, like Arbetters for hot dogs nearby

Best Sicilian Pizza in Miami

By SandraandKirk |

This place is a staple in Miami. No place to eat there but get a pie to take home and you won't be sorry. Order a half baked and finish it in your oven at home. Delicious!

Frankies Pizza

By EvanGuthrie |

Frankie's Pizza on Bird Road in Miami is a great place to go for delicious and quality pizza, sides, and salads. Everything that I have ordered from here has been fresh and flavorful. The staff here is very friendly and efficient at getting everything together. Good overall experience ordering from here.

Horrible

By Kevin B |

I picked up a pie last Friday after work. When I got home and opened the box I found that they gave all of slices left over from lunch. Unfortunately I threw the whole pie out. A waste of $25.00. Never again as the place is trash!!!!!

One of the best Pizzas 🍕 around period

By Ted M |

I hear these people talking about Frankie’s pizza like it’s no good. I’ve traveled 🧳 the world and have had all types of pizzas from New York to Milan and this ranks as one of the best. SORRY HATERS !!!!!

Best pizza in miami

By rodriguezr16 |

Frankies has the best pizza ever! The crust/bread is crunchy and tasteful. The sauce is the best and the other ingredients are always fresh and extremely tasteful!

A little piece of heaven

By peppermint50 |

It had been years since we had Frankie's pizza, but it did not disappoint. From the piece on the outside of the box, to the cheesy goodness and spicy pepperoni, Frankie's is still delicious. Glad we made it a point to stop in one our only night in Miami!

Ever eat a square pizza?

By jenniferwilliams7 |

Frankie's Pizza is a landmark on Bird Road. We have been getting take out pizza from there since my husband and started dating, many years ago. There is a very small menu- pizza. The best is to order the pizza with pepperoni. The pizza comes in squares and best pieces are at the corners. When we go out of town, we get a couple of pizzas half-baked for the kids. When they need food, they pop a few pieces in the oven, heat them up, and parental guilt is gone.

very disappointed

By Joe P |

I have been going to Frankies since 1969 and it has been one of my favorite plazas. I would go in and get a pizza and talk to Frankie about the old days. Well things have changed. I went about a month or so ago and noticed a different flavor in the sauce. The rolls which were always great were different. Then I went again about a week later and again different in a bad way. Last week I went with my son who was raised eating this pizza. I said nothing to him and he said it taste different. This is an institution in Miami, such a shame his daughter is taking her eye off of the ball. I hope it gets better.

Hands down the best pizza in town

By TatsRamos |

This is not a fancy place, but that is so irrelevant! all about Frankie´s is tradition and love since the 50´s. They do have a small sitting area in the back, but tipìcally you order a pizza and take it with you. The crust of this pizza is unique. So light and crunchy that it´s hard to resist. The staff -young men from the neighborhood- is very kind and fast. Frankie´s is a must when in the Southwest of Miami. They offer a half baked pizza so you can finish the cooking at home, resulting in a fresh and delicious pizza.

Ab Fab

I was introduced to Frankie's Pizza in 1993 and it remains my #1 favorite in the U. S. A. I've lived and visited many states, will travel many miles out of my way for great pizza. Of course, I've had great pizza in NYC, and we'll drive up from Miami to Mona Lisa's in Delray Beach where they make the pizza dough from imported Brooklyn water (oh, yeah!). Frankie's isn't in a category with those traditional pies. It's different, and it is authentic Italian though I don't know where this style originates, or if anyone else in the country makes pies like these. Have I raved on enough? Try it, you'll never forget it.

RIP OFF

Place is a rip off of DiCarlo's Pizza established in Steubenville, OH in 1945!!!! They even ripped off the logo. dicarlospizza.com

Best Pizza Ever

By Blonditn1 |

Had this pizza delivered to our hotel after a long day flying. Was the best pizza I have ever had. Very reasonable and quick.

Unique Classic Gem

By Tammy S |

Frankie's is one-of-a-kind pizza. The dough practically melts in your mouth. It's airy and light, cut into squares, baked on a square tray. It's not like any other pizza you've ever had. Frankie's is a family-owned and run pizzeria that has been there forever, and I hope it always will be. It's truly a hidden gem. It's fun to watch the precision of the making of the pizzas. There is no restaurant seating, it's a take-out place, but you can eat your pizza there.

Generations of Miamians love Frankie's Pizza

By mibenco |

Although I've lived in south Florida off and on for 25 years, I had never been to Frankie's until this past weekend. This is a quintessential hole in the wall, with no seating per se. You order your pizza and take it home (or sit out back on one of the concrete picnic tables. They don't take credit cards. In short, they do pizza the old-fashioned way, as they have since the mid 1950s, when Bird Road was more rural than urban. The pizza was excellent, especially the crust (why are square pizzas the best?). Absolutely no frills here: just pizza with classic toppings, some garlic rolls, and a cooler full of soft drinks. Generations of Miamians have loved Frankie's Pizza and it's nice to have an old familiar favorite in a town that changes so quickly and so constantly In case you can't get to Miami, Frankie's will send a half-baked pizza to you anywhere in the US, or you can pick up half-baked pizzas here to take home and finish heating.

The best pizza in the world

By DaddiOmali |

I lived in Miami for my childhood in the 70’s and for a treat my mother would feed us Frankies pizza . It’s been owned and operated since 1955 by the same family PASQUARELLA and is still as good as I remember!! Thank you for not changing and thank you for the lovely memories!

Best Pizza in Miami

By Victor G |

This is a very informal place. Mostly it is for take Out. They have some tables in the back of the place for yourself accommodation. But in Flavor and taste, it is my favorite, for me it is the best I have ever tried.

Small place big taste

By Herman R |

Small place in bird road it's been there for over 60 years. One of the best pizzas i ever got. Big taste.

Great Pizza!!!

By Juan C |

This pizza is the best. I went with my girlfriend to share a pizza and now she is waiting as crasy for a next time in Frankie's pizza. The employees are very nice. Thanks

Great pizza

By Yaimacm |

Best pizza I have ever eaten. Delicious and tasty. Even though it's not cheap, it worth the price. I'm crazy about coming back to get more of it.

Just the best pizza to go

By Garethsc |

This is not an Italian that does pizza. This is not a sit in pizza place. This is simply the best pizza . Half or fully baked, you choose. When we had family we did half baked and took everything home and had fresh baked at home. Now we order ready to eat, as we pull into our drive the empty pizza box goes in the trash. Double pepperoni, ends and corners, for you drivers, extra crispy. Been going here 15 years never had a bad meal.

OG Miami

By SC200345 |

Aw what can I say the beautiful Roxanne from 70's childhood was not there. Since I was five my mother used to take me here, my cousin and uncles lived nearby. I loved the baby slice on wax paper that topped the box. The pepperoni was thankfully the same, the best along with Frank Pepes, but the crust seemed different - who knows, I haven't been there for probably almost thirty years. I'm glad you're still there Frankie's!

Crunchy Goodness

By Mannycr1111 |

Grew up on Frankie’s Pizza 40 years ago.. Still amazing! Place has not changed except for the sliding cooler full of RC Cola(no Coca Cola products back then). Pepperoni is a must! Hint: If you buy it half-baked and put it in the oven at home(400 degrees and on a cookie sheet) it is better than taking home fully cooked. Only bad part is you don’t get the free piece on top for the ride home. Historical and as it says on their Tees, “Famous.”

Over Rated

By nunezw2 |

Frankies pizza is good but nothing special, over priced and over rated, not at all what a lot of people so much rave about. I use to live in the northeast and grew up eating excellent pizza and great quality was not hard to find. Whereas in Miami you really have to go out of the way to find a really good pizzeria which explains why people think Frankies is so great. It’s because they don’t really have anything better to compare it with. One of the biggest problems they have is that they are inconsistent. You go in one day and may get a good pizza, go back the next and it’s not so good. My biggest pet peeve is how cheap they are about toppings, even when you order extra cheese and sauce, pay the extra money, it’s still not much different than a regular pie. I guess they are still superior than most franchise pizza restaurants but if I can find a better quality independent owner operator pizzeria, I won’t think twice and will switch on a heartbeat.

Best Pizza in Miami!

By NCNJM d |

This place is amazing and a landmark. I've been eating pizza here for 30 years and it hasn't changed a bit. I love coming to Frankie's and eating outside (not in the summer) or getting a half baked and heating it up at home. This place is authentic and the owners are great folks. They make you appreciate home grown family business.

Don’t order here! It’s horrible!

By Sightsee215140 |

We waited for an hour for a delivery of pizza and cheese sticks — it was nasty -/ cold and dry — inedible! We’ll never patronize Frankie’s again!

The BEST Pizza

By MoBiker |

I found this little, carry-out only pizza place while researching in TripAdvisor planning a business trip to Miami. My wife and I tried the 5 ingredient pizza and we hit the jackpot!!! We enjoyed the pizza out back of the restaurant on one off their picnic tables. The scenery wasn't too great but the pizza sure was. The price was reasonable and the pizza was hot and tasty. What more could you want. I wish we lived closer. We'd be back as often as possible if we did.

Best Place for Real Pizza

By BassMaster G |

This is the best Pizza you can ever have if in the Kendall area. This small place in the corner of 92 Ave and Bird has been in business for more than 50 years. They use the best ingredients you can find in a Pizza including the sauce. You can order it half-bake and finished at home, also better price. There is no seating area unless a few in the back, it is mainly takeout. They close on Mondays and do not offer delivery.

Just pizza, no frills

By Tripper4Life |

There is no place to sit inside, however there are a few tables outside behind the kitchen. There is a great view of the gas station next door. If you were looking for a restaurant with a wait staff and any other service then making the pizza you ordered, you are in the wrong place. If you are looking for pizza that is a little different from most other pizza out there and is a slice of history as well, you are in the right place. Take it to go, and eat it at a park or something like that. Of course, you'll probably be back.

Best pizza in Miami

By Eddie V |

I have been eating this pizza for 45 years from Snapper Creek elementary to Riviera Middle school to Southwest High school and college almost every weekend and when I moved around the US, I had my brothers shipped to me 2 times a month. I am back home, and my kids have the same love for the pizza, from mom and dad to my grandkids this is the Best and real Miami's pizza.

Serving great pizza for 60+ years

By Azziplaw |

Some things never change, and in this case that's a good thing. Each pizza still made from the same great dough formula, and Each pie is individually hand stretched to fit the large rectangular baking pans. Make sure to order well done, to get the exceptional crunchiness of the crust. you've got to try it, and trust me, you'll be back!!!! Highly Recommended

Delicious throughout, with a crust like no other—Frankie's Way

By cbrysofla |

Maybe 95% of all pizzerias are hardly distinguishable. Sure, there's a major difference between New York Thin and Chicago Stuffed, but even then it's nuances of sauce, quality of toppings, etc. Frankie's has set itself apart for over 50 years now with a crunchy crust that just grabs your taste buds and turns them inside out. Savory seasonings and toppings only add to the delight. It's a little different format, coming in slices roughly 4" square. Small has five slices, medium has eight, large has ten. The takeout box gets you started with a half-slice of plain cheese set right on the top. Want a cold tasty dessert afterwards? Grab a few Italian ices from the box. Another option: buy it half-baked and then enjoy it steaming hot from your own oven. (Leftovers? Reheat in a *real* oven on 450. A microwave mucks with the texture.) Take-out only (though the counter does have a couple of stools if you really want to sit there and eat). Bring cash because they don't take plastic. They close on Mondays and, if I recall correctly, for a couple of weeks or so sometime every summer (August?). If you love good pizza and you live anywhere in the county, it's worth the drive. Just two miles west of the Palmetto on the south (eastbound) side of Bird Road.

Best Pizza in Miami

By Mary9921 |

I live about 30 miles south of this restaurant, and anytime I go into Miami I always make it a point to stop and get a half-baked pizza. A half-baked is just what it says it's half baked, you bring it home and cook it the rest of the way. When it comes out of the oven it's just as good as getting a fully cooked pizza from the store. My husband and I grew up on this pizza place. It's been around for many years and has been named the #1 pizza place in Miami by ABC news at least 2 years in a row that I know of. This place is well worth the drive. The prices are great. The food is to die for and it's very clean. The staff is always cheerful and polite. They now have a food truck and travel down here once a week....I've gone to the truck and got half-baked from there and they are always awesome!! They will also ship you a pizza if you live out of town....You'll never buy another pizza once you try one of Frankie's.

A JEWEL IN MIAMI

By Jorge R |

this place is not what it looks like from the outside. ive lived in miami since i was 8 and i did not even discover it until about 2 years ago when i was there visiting. this is one of the best pizzas i have ever had. they are nice to you and treat you like family even though i only go once a year when i go to miami for vacation. the pizza is the real deal!!!

Love me some Frankie's

By Tripp2421 |

My wife, who grew up in Frankie's "hood", and I visited Frankie's tonight, my 3rd time. This BY FAR is the best pizza I have eated!! Roxanne, Frankie's daughter runs the place, she sat with us for 45 minutes after they closed, talking and laughing like kids. The pizza is the best ever, crispy crust, great sauce, and cheese, and sausage cut long ways!! Old School, Baby !! Oh yeah, you will fight over the Frankie's Tradition, an extra piece of cheese pizza on top of your box !! Super !! Love it, just wished we didn't live 200 miles north!!!

I haven't been since 1979 - and STILL the BOMB!

By JEAN P |

I left Miami in 1979 and returned last weekend for a reunion - had to have Frankies Pizza. I remembered I loved it - but could it be as good? YES! Loved it - crust just PERFECT - toppings and everything JUST great. You MUST have some when you are in Miami on Bird Road!

Amazing Pizza

By Miamiadguy |

Ok, this place is a Miami institution and we've been having their pizza for over the last 30 years. Totally worth having to get in my car to go pick it up. We just love the taste and the crispiness of the crust as well as the tomato sauce. Make sure you come with cash...because this is a cask only business with an ATM on premises. Give it a try!

Consistently Great Pizza!!!

By CarolynandBurton |

Since 1955. How do they do it? They care. Same crunchy crust. Same sauce. Same squares of pizza. Everyone loves this hole-in-wall. It's all carry out except for three bar stools at the end of a red counter. Nothing tastes like this Sicilian pizza and nothing ever will. Worth the drive if you have to. It's good stuff. BTW THE MENU LISTED IS NOT THEIR MENU. They just have pizza with plenty of toppings and will accommodate your tastes. Enjoy!!!

Whenever I come visit Miami, I bring home Frankie's Pizza

By Lisa K |

I was born and raised in Miami Florida but I moved to the Mountains of North Carolina in 2000. Whenever I come back to Miami for a visit, I make sure to pick up some Frankie's Pizza. It is one of the best gifts to bring to my family in North Carolina. All I can say is.... if you are in South Florida, you have got to try it for your self. There is nothing like it anywhere else!

Absolute favorite pizza

By Patty R |

You can’t get better than this crust and the crispy pepperonis. Nothing else to say. The only bad things are that you can’t eat the pizza there, and you can’t have any on Mondays! Amazing amazing crust!

No Place to Sit

By Advisor4000 |

Remarkably overrated for a place with no seating whatsoever. I was looking for a restaurant not delivery. Had to leave.

Quick Lunch

By nibaldom2015 |

This place is an institution here in Miami. There pizza here is different than others as it is square. The sauce is very good and has been consistent for years. Decided to pick up some pizza for the family and the girls really enjoyed it. Overall, if you want a taste of old Miami pizza and take you back to the old days in Miami come on in for a piece of history.

Not that great!

By Roxanna G |

My personal taste for pizza is not this type. The bread is greasy and crunchy, which some people may like, but I prefer New York style crust.

Lots of dough!

By Andrea C |

Yes, Frankie's has been here forever. Can't understand why? Very doughy & skimpy on toppings. Sauce is good--what little there is of it.

Fantastic

By Maria G |

I stop into Frankie's Pizza every year on my yearly visit to Miami. It never disappoints! Delicious pepperoni and cheese the only problem is we never buy enough.

You'll get hooked on the crust

By Al G |

I have been going there since I was eight years old (1968). I can remember my dad taking the whole family (6 of us) in the station wagon and eating the pie in the parking lot! Hot and fresh. Everyone wanted to go inside and pick it up because frankie always put a free sample slice on top of every box! Yummy! It is take out only. To this day I go and pick up some pizza half baked and finnish cooking off at home! Game night at the house always includes frankie's! Frankie's is still the same after all these years and His family carries on His recipe. I know he is looking down and smiling!

Good pizza,cash only!

By BLUE512013 |

I like Frankie's , they have been in the same corner forever , I prefers the ham and cheese, will not come all the way from my home just to eat this but when in the hood , Frankie's is always a choice along with Polo Norte and Dominoes.

Its fine.

By Michael U |

Billed as the "World's Finest Italian Pizza", Frankie's has been serving freshly baked Pizza to thousands of loyal customers for 65 years, and although everything about that quote is PR-style hyperbole one would be hard pressed to name a better slice for just $1.80. A staple of Bird Road since 1955, availability via Goldbelly and customers from Jacksonville ordering half-baked Pie for home attesting to Frankie’s fan-base, it is amidst pandemic precautions that ordering and dining occur outdoors, a makeshift tent mostly disorganized but inevitably enough to get the job done. Not a jack-of-all-trades eatery, the concise menu featuring Pizza, Garlic Rolls, Water and Soda, it was after twenty minutes wait that six slices and a bag were presented, the absence of requested (and paid for) Pepperoni ignored to avoid another lengthy wait for squares that are crisp and light, though the Cheese and Sauce are fairly basic while bite-sized Knots are soft with no lack of Garlic.

Great takeout pizza, busy iconic place

By Danield528 |

Picked up a large pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese last night. Delicious! Better than any chain pizza and clearly a popular Miami spot. Loved the free piece served on top of the box to eat in the car. $19 including tax....ten pieces. 4-5 pieces for a hungry guy.

Outstanding Pizza

By Scamper200 |

We stopped and had pizza here while we were in Miami. My husband lived closed to Frankie's for years. He ate here a lot. He said it was his favorite pizza place. We decided to see if it was as good as he remembered. This was the first time for me To eat at Frankie's. Wow, this was the best pizza ever! The crust was so different. If you like crispy crust and loads of cheese this is the pizza stop for you.

Best Pizza in Miami

By SwampChicken |

Have lived in Miami all my life and since 1967.. I consider it the best Pizza in town. Higly recommend! BY the way it is only a take out place. Not really eat in.

Simple Sicilian...nothing flashy...but oh so good!!!

By GFamMIA |

This restaurant has been on Bird Road for ages, and the staff (who are VERY nice) know what they're doing! There's very little seating (2 bar stools inside, a counter and beverage-fridge. No need to impress you...the quality & taste of their pizza is impressive enough! You can even order your pizza cooked, half-baked or uncooked. Their website even boasts that they deliver half-baked anywhere across the country! Word to the wise: bring cash. They don't accept credit cards, but they have an ATM machine there. I LOVE how they provide an extra slice on top of your pizza box so you can munch on a slice as you walk to the car!

Worst Pizza Ive tried in South Florida.

By Joel N |

I want to say this is the first review I have ever written. I felt the need to write it because of the fact that I was fooled big time by the other reviews and the almost 5 star rating. I want to say this is one of the worst pizza places Ive been to in a really long time. The quality of everything on the cheese pizza is at the lowest. I think every frozen pizza Ive ever purchased at Publix is better than this mom and pop pizza. I dont mean to be so brutally honest and I hope this is not disrespectful in anyway but its that I cannot for the life of me understand why and how this place has such good ratings. I would personally say this is probably the worst pizza I have had in SFL and Ive tried tons of pizzas spot all the way from Homestead up to Fortlauderdale and this is definitely at the bottom of the list. Id say give it a try if you havent to form your own opinion but please do not believe any of the hype.

Only if you have no choice!

By deu0505 |

It's one of those places whose flyers get thrown under your hotel room door. Strictly ordinary food. Please order this only if you have no other options!

AMAZING!!

By b_mckenna24 |

My mom's family is originally from Miami but they moved over 30 years ago. So when I moved here a year ago all I ever heard from my mom and grandparents is you have to go to Frankie's Pizza!! It turns out that my mom actually worked there when she was a teenage and my grandparents adore Roxanne. Every time I visit my grandparents (they live 4 hours away) I surprise them with a half baked pizza and they relive the memories of living in Miami. Long story short, THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE! && super fast! Definitely give it a try when in the area! (:

Frankie's pizza is a family favorite

By Carfia143 |

Never disappoints!! Consistently great pizza with extra crunchy crusts...don't forget the garlic rolls either!!

Best pizza

By Jorge D |

Disclosure: we always order "half-baked" and finish cooking the pies at home. It's a simple and uncomplicated menu. Frankie's has been around forever and their pizza dough is different than many others I've tried. The crust ends up crunchy but not too hard. Service: Excellent. The place is very well staffed. Food: outstanding Price: It's a bit more expensive than your usual pizza mega-chain but in our home, worth every penny. Atmosphere: The majority of people do take out.there are is a sitting area in the back parking lot but we've never sat to eat there.

Good but not the same

I have been going to Frankies since 1969. The pizza was always the best, hands down. It's been a while now that the pizza and the great rolls have been inconsistent. When I go I am wondering if today is a good day or a bad day for the quality. It just doesn't seem that the care that Franky took with everything is still there. Some times the dough is crispy and other days it is doughy. The rolls are either baked properly or they are undercooked and soggy. It's a shame to let it go like this.

Get it HALF Baked - you'll LOVE it

Been getting pizza here since 1970. At is just as good today - and even better when you take it home half baked. A few minutes in the oven and your family or guests think you baked it yourself... HOT and CRISPY crust in their famous square form - And they still give you a sample to go!

Was there for their 61 year being there. and a hot rod car show. Loved all the food they had would go again when I'm in Miami. Their food is great and cheap. Good place to take family too.

The pizza here is unlike any that I have ever had. Here's what I like. The crust is crunchy and has a taste and texture that is perfect. You can order a "half baked"pie. When you get home, put it in oven for ten min. and it's just like they just baked it. From the cheese to the pepperoni it is undoubtedly the best pizza I have ever eaten. I know I may have stated this about a place in Ohio. But the fact is, it is hard to find a decent pizza in Florida. This rivals any that I have had, anywhere!!! You have to try it.

Best Pizza

Disclosure: We always order "half-baked" and finish cooking the pie at home in order to preserve freshness. Frankie's is a landmark of Miami. Service: Excellent Food: The best pizza for our taste. The crust is crunchy and light. Not chewy and/or dense. I know it sounds strange but.... Pricing: A bit more expensive than your typical pizza mega-chain, but for our family worth every penny. Atmosphere: we only order take out. There is a sitting area in the back parking lot but we've never used it.
