Fuego Tortilla Grill Reviews

Had to go to Costco to get gas on a recent trip to San Antonio and saw the Fuego Tortilla Grill across the street. I have tried the Fuego in San Marcos quite a while back and decided to give this one a try. Tacos were terrific! They were a little bit pricey but filled with so many wonderful ingredients, I certainly understand the price! I ordered a couple of bean and cheese tacos. The Rockstar with beef chipotle cream corn, hatch green chilies, mushrooms jack cheese and avocado. Also, The El Presidente taco with chicken, bacon avocado, pico de gallo, jack cheese and chipotle ranch. It was so good! Lastly, ordered the Mexican Cobb salad with beef, chicken, bacon, guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream and their great jalapeño cilantro dressing! My visit was mid-afternoon on Sunday it was not very crowded and service was very prompt. They also had a nice salsa bar with pico de g allo and a variety of flavorful salsas. Looking forward to a return trip the next time I am in the area!

This is anew Mexican/Taco joint on UTSA, just off of the highway. As their signage says, they’re open 24x6, just closed on Monday. I came here a couple of times while staying in a nearby hotel and the service was excellent… food was perfect. I really liked their menu, which is a mix of the newer, eclectic/fusion Mexican eats and traditional Mexican eats. The place is clean and welcoming, as the folks working there are happy to have you. I just don’t like that they have Folgers coffee in an automatic machine to get your own coffee, I wish they had better quality brew that they make and serve. And the second day I went, they only had decaf… no one wants decaf, that’s a very select customer base. Stop using this crappy coffee machine and get real coffee, please! Aside from the coffee issue, they have a very nicely done salsa bar, which even offers very tasty cucumbers! Their salsas are amazing and fresh! Definitely worth a visit!

The flour tortillas are delicious. The combination of flavors with fresh vegetables is delicious. Super recommended the sweet eloteas. They are unique
