Awesome! We spotted this...

Awesome! We spotted this place around the corner when Meneki was full. It was full of Japanese customers and the food was great, fresh and the wait staff was friendly. Yum!

Nice Japanese restaurant

By JohntheFoneMan |

run by real Japanese people, serving real Japanese food. Good value and good food. I have eaten here many times both for lunch and for dinner over the past 5 years.

Good food and Good Service

By pnomura1 |

We've been going to Fuji Sushi for years and I especially like the Bento Box. It's just enough for me. The quality of the food has almost always been very good over the years, but at one point the service was not. I'm glad to report that we've recently had excellent service, and I would recommend Fuji Sushi.

Hearty portions and reasonable prices for lunch

By KWong55 |

Here for lunch with family friend today and I realized I came here over 10 years ago because the name sounded familiar and when I looked, my last review was back on 7/29/13! The place looks the same and the service was friendly and attentive. We all ordered the lunch special 2 item bento boxes! The food was hearty and delish. I ordered the salmon teriyaki and sashimi and the fish was fresh and the bento included two gyozas besides vegetable and 1 shrimp tempura, fruit, and a delicious salad, along with miso soup. Prices are very reasonable for the two item lunch bento box! The portions were humongous and we thoroughly enjoyed the company and meal.

Great Lunch

By Turnkey56 |

Sushi/sashimi Bento was so good. Placed was packed until lunch crowd walked out at 1pm but we still found a seat at 12:20. Really make great and fresh sushi. Wasabi was so hot! I can breathe again. 😁

Great food

Bento box for lunch.. Great! Teriyaki chicken and salmon made a great combo. Most delicious and comes for $11 !

Fuji Sushi - pretty good

By s s |

After returning from a weekend road trip, we stopped at Fuji Sushi for a hassle free dinner near their Sunday evening closing time. Our group of four was seated promptly and given menus. Our waiter took our drink order of a pitcher of Sapporo beer, but then returned to report their tap was out of order, could we please order 2 large bottles instead. So we did, only she then returned and reported they were out of large bottles, could we please order smaller bottles. We ordered 2 and waited. She brought them! The rest of our meal was uncomplicated. The Fuji Sushi Bento ($22) was good. The grilled salmon, sushi, cucumber pickles, tempura, miso soup, and salad were presented attractively. The chicken katsudon was less attractive but flavorful, and the shrimp tempura dinner was satisfying. The miso soups could be less salty but they were good. All in all, it was a nice meal.

Outstanding sushi, great location, and friendly service!

By FOTMM |

Dined here while in Seattle for the weekend. The location was convenient and the dining area was lovely. Service was extremely friendly and the servers were knowledgeable. We enjoyed the Shishito peppers appetizer, miso soup and a mix of special and traditional maki rolls. Everything was seasoned wonderfully and well prepared. I would absolutely dine here again on a future trip to Seattle.

Fast delicious lunch

By CathyGatzke |

My husband & I made a quick trip to Seattle & had limited time for lunch. Fuji Sushi was close by, and we got a table right during the lunch hour. It seemed very busy with a regular business crowd. The sushi and noodles were very good and the service was excellent and fast. Those in the know had reserved ahead.

More modern restaurant compared to others in the International District

By Travel_Guy_2015 |

Modern Architecture (inside) as compared to others in the International District. I liked the layout of this restaurant. Pretty Asian girls are the servers. Kitchen is fast and efficient. Excellent ā€œcross sectionā€ of cooking styles are offered such as Tempura, Sushi, Sashimi, Donburi, Onigiri, Kare Raisu, Chahan, Yakizakana, Sukiyaki, Chanko Nabe, Bento, Nigirizushi and Makizushi. We will be back.

Average quality and fair pricing

By malfunction |

Brought here by family and friends every time I visit Seattle. The food quality is ok with some good combination sets. The price is fair with some good deals on the meal sets.

Excellent food and sake selection

By SamanthaLisaReed |

This restaurant was a great find on Yelp. Me, the hubby, and in-laws ventured out to the International District after Thanksgiving day to see what the ID in Seattle had to offer. Between the many sushi restaurants, we chose this place based on the huge Sake selection. My husband drinks sake religiously so he wanted to make sure the place offered a good selection. Everything we ate that night was very delicious. The Gindara Misozuke was heavenly. Aside from the wait (busy night and no reservation) we were all happily satisfied and stuffed.

Great food, great service

By Nukeman86 |

In town for a couple of days and we're looking for sushi and general Asian cuisine. We found Sushi Fuji and were pleasantly surprised. The service was fantastic and the wait staff were great answering questions and offering suggestions. Th bento box was fantastic with two entrees in the box. The udon was tasty and a very large serving. We had sushi which was delicious. Judging from the number of "locals", we obviously made a good choice.

Fresh and good

By Sandy N |

I came here for lunch with two friends and each of us had the Bento Box. Very fresh, generous portions and a lot of variety. The place was hopping and there were quite a few Asians there, which I thought was a good sign. The tempura was delicately breaded and cooked just perfectly, especially the shrimp. The sushi was fresh and we enjoyed the miso soup. One of the women I was with said she has been there many times and always had a good experience.

Great Sushi and Pork Ginger

By echograd |

So far the best Japanese food I had in Seattle. Sushi was great and pork ginger was AMAZING! Great service ...

Happy Accident Food Time

By dmurin |

We also came to this restaurant by chance. We were turned away from Tsukushinbo across the street (first time ever!), and couldn't get into Maneki around the corner either (also booked up). I was starting to panic as I had a group of out of town vendors hungry for sushi, when the Maneki hostess suggested Fuji Sushi around the corner. Fuji Sushi happily seated all seven of us (it was still early enough that we didn't have to wait), and service started immediately. Food and service was good, the sake flowed, and we had a great time. Everyone ordered something different and we all left satisfied with full bellies. They also have a private tatami room, but it had already been reserved. I will definitely keep this in mind the next time we have a large group.

Quality sushi

By James V |

The sushi was very fresh and quite delicious! The atmosphere is simple and not overbearing, and the service was fine. The price is higher than a lot of sushi restaurants I've been to though. Well worth a try though!

Service poor on recent visit

By activetravelnowthatkidsareontheirown |

Used to like going here before CenturyLink events. Went on Sunday. They didn't open on time, the service was poor, and the food was only okay at best. TOh bring back the Fuji Sushi that used to be here! The place wasn't crowded, so that wasn't the service problem. The server missed bringing us our appetizers. We tried to get her attention, but she ignored us. Our bento meals were okay. Teri chicken good, tempura good, miso salmon very dry/not good (oh for the days when they served miso black cod - no longer on menu). Now they offer seaweed salad instead of pickles with bento. Rice was served long after the bento. Then confusion over bill. Our guests had given server their credit card to pay for bill. Server forgot this. I paid. It took the server a while to locate their credit card!

Good food, big portions

By europetraveler39 |

We came to this restaurant by chance. Wanted to go to Maneki, but they were all booked until 9:30pm that evening and we started to looking around for a Japanese restaurant and here it was. I recently had a lunch with my friends at a sushi restaurant in Lexington, MA. We ordered a lot (I thought) and paid about $30 per person before tips. Sashimi we ordered there was good, yet after we left I felt hungry as hell. So I decided to order more food at Fuji. It was a big mistake. I ordered Chirashi - sashimi over sushi rice. This portion alone would be enough for a dinner. It was quite big and sashimi was good. My wife ordered Tempura Udon - a noodle soup and two sets of rolls. Given we always share whatever she orders that would have been more then enough for a dinner for both of us. But I thought it was not enough and ordered Tempura Udon for myself as well. In the middle of the dinner before they even served my Tempura Udon we realized we won't be able to finish all we have ordered. Fortunately they allowed me to cancel my order of Tempura Udon and didn't charge me for that. Nevertheless half of my wife's Tempura Udon was left and we felt as full as one can be. The quality of the food was good and so was the service. If I'm there next time I will order half of what we ordered this time.

great dinner

By L J |

It's always a good sign when you go for a sushi dinner and see the restaurant filled with Japanese people. We had a wide variety of rolled sushi and nigiri and they were all delicious. One person in our party had the bento box and she said it was one of the best she's had.

Reasonable and tasty food

By KWong55 |

We came here to enjoy some Japanese food and we had to wait for a table for about 30 minutes as we had no reservations and after we were seated, we had to wait for our food for 15 minutes at least. I guess because each bento box is separate as far as the two entrees are concerned as we all had the two item bento box. We also got cucumber salad, miso soup as well as rice, green salad, pickled vegetables, seaweed, two California sushis, and our entree. All were tasty especially the sashimi which consisted of three types of fish. The waiter had forgotten the tempura sauce for one of us and we had to wait to get it. He apologized for the wait for the table and food. Otherwise, I would give them 5 stars but service was a bit slow.

Great for lunch

By caromaja |

This is my go to restaurant. Great food. I always get the bento box with salmon teriyaki (x2). Yes, you get 2 main items (choices of chicken teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, tempura to name a few), along with soup, salad, rice and 2 california rolls. Actually they are all good but my favorite is the salmon...yummy! Price is really good if you compare with other restaurants in downtown Seattle. You get a complete meal. Tea is free (note some restaurants charge for tea, just saying).

Food okay, but rude owner

By Worrygrandma |

Our family went to Fuji Sushi on Mother's Day. There were 16 in our party, and the management let it be known from the outset that if everyone wasn't there on time, our tables would be given away. That having been said, we understood that Mother's Day is a busy day, and everyone made a special effort to arrive on time. We were seated around our table greeting each other and enjoying ourselves, when the manager (I assume he was the manager) came over and told us that we needed to order immediately, because there were others coming after us who would want our tables. He didn't say this in a friendly way. He was very unpleasant, and I was very taken aback. So were others in our party. In all my years of dining out, I have never experienced anything quite so rude from someone who is supposed to be in the business of serving the public. The food at Fuji Sushi is pretty good, although I've had better, but the prices are reasonable, and the waitstaff, unlike the management, were very nice. We've been going to this restaurant for family functions for several years, but they recently underwent an ownership change, and the change has really detracted from the pleasant atmosphere we used to enjoy. I am giving this otherwise nice restaurant a low overall rating because of the rudeness of the manager.

Reaaaaaaly Good

By Lori E |

Had lunch here today, and loved it. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. I ordered the soft shell crab roll and a dragon roll - both were great! I also had a seaweed salad with was yummy too. Service was quick enough for my lunch hour.

Sushi Search Success in Seattle

By Ready2Go2Day |

We were in pursuit of the perfect place for our last night in Seattle and specifically wanted sushi. While there are many restaurants in Chinatown International District finding sushi wasn’t an easy find. However once we stopped here & looked at the menu along with being greeted with a smile, we settled in for a nice dining experience and all the dishes we wanted and more. Fuji Sushi was perfect atmosphere and the food great.

Authentic and affordable

By haikutaxi |

Recommended by an elderly auntie and a local couple (and by the staff at the Panama Hotel nearby). We were thrilled to find this place just steps away from our hotel. We each ordered bento boxes and were not disappointed. Bill was under $20 per person for dinner and a beer. The portions were large and actually provided us with lunch again the next day (and were as tasty cold as hot). Place is modern and clean and service was very good.

Top notch sushi

By John L |

We had carry out and it was all very good. Lots of Asian food options in Seattle so if looking for sushi try Fuji. Only sub par was the wonton soup which was pretty tasteless.

Great sushi

By CherylBoudreau |

Good place to go with a crowd. bento boxes are good choices, lots of ways to make a combo. Staff is very friendly. good value for the money.

What a humiliating and disappointing experience!!

By eaglespirit77 |

This restaurant used to be one of our family’s favourites. Reliable and good food. We decided to go there for our anniversary before attending a show. Arrived at 7.45. Ordered immediately. Miso soup arrived right away. At 8.15. Our food had not arrived. Waitress was apologetic stating ours was next. We waited and waited. Almost every table was eating. Began to wonder if we had been singled out for some unknown reason. At 8.30 pm waitress apologized saying 5 more minutes. At which point we got up to leave. Our show was downtown at 9.15 There was no manager to perhaps come out? Apologize? Offer us a drink? Some sushi. I was in tears. We headed over to our show and skipped dinner. Never felt so humiliated!!! It had been awhile since we had been there and I do see the reviews are now mixed. Trouble ahead no doubt. At any rate it’s now struck off all our family and friends list. Date of visit: December 2019

Overpriced for Quality

By ChimarraoMate |

It's a comfortable place. There is nothing overly exciting with this sushi house. I would have given it 4 stars except the sushi chef decided to leave tough un-chewable tendon like pieces in the salmon. They were a big part of the serving, so he must have felt it with the knife. I might have overlooked that if the price was lower, but not what someone should expect from a sushi house priced in the range they want to charge. I Spent about $33 for lunch including a drink.

By JasonTheFoodie |

While I wasn't wowwed by their selection or the quality of their sushi, I don't have any complaints either. The sushi was okay, the service and atmosphere were fine, and the prices were fair.

Good food and hot sake

By ELLeonard |

I didn’t have the sushi, not my thing. But the food was very good. The staff were attentive and answered all of our questions about the menu

Great Escape for lunch in downtown Seattle

By Rebecca P |

This restaurant offers a Bento box in which you have many choices between sushi, sashimi and various teriyakis + soup + salad + California roll. There are many other options on the menu, but this was very satisfying. It's a good deal and the atmosphere is very nice for a lunch spot in the International District. If you're walking around the International District or Pioneer Square and you want to have a nice, inexpensive sit down meal, I highly recommend this restaurant. It also worked out well as a place to meet my daughter for lunch as we both work downtown.

Good Japanese

By Arianna W |

Got a variety of appetizers and a bento box. The fried chicken, gyoza, and edamame were all excellent. The tonkatsu and sashimi bento box was delicious. The tuna was fresh, but could have been a little colder. The tonkatsu was cooked nicely. Also got the seaweed salad, it was my favorite thing. One of the best seaweed salads I've had.

Reliable Japanese in Seattle Japantown.

By Steven T |

For my birthday (September 12) I wanted to treat myself to sushi. I first went to Maneki. The wait was an hour. I then went to Tsukushinbo. It was closed due to a private party in the restaurant. I then went to Fuji because it was the only option left in Japantown. There are always seats available at Fuji. I ordered a large house sake, 20 pieces of nigiri sushi, a futomaki roll and a chawanmushi. The sushi chef personally delivered my plate of sushi and explained the origin of each piece. Everything was oishi. Fuji is a very reliable Japanese restaurant. It may not serve the best sushi in town nor the best Japanese food in town, but everything it does serve is very good. Overall, I had a very good birthday sushi dinner. My final bill including tip was over $150 so Maneki’s loss and Tsukushinbo’s loss was Fuji’s gain.

Hot crunchy Katsu chicken

By Hellosteph111 |

Fast, fairly priced with fabulous Katsu chicjen. Have the lunch special with sushi and katsu. Friendly and fast. Average miso soup and salad. But katsu is best thing there. Reliable.

Great place...I have been going there for 10+ years!

By davidtwang |

This is one of my favorite restaurant in Seattle. The food is fresh, the portion is decent and the price is right. My favorite dish is their sushi/sashimi bento. The service is also nice, the wait is short. They have a tatami room there. Parking is tough there, but they offer free parking just north of the restaurant.

Chill place with first-rate Japanese food

By CaTraveler7777 |

This restaurant is in the International part of town and is somewhat nondescript from the outside and the inside. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. The sushi is plentiful and very good tasting and they give a huge puce of fish with each piece. Order the sake by the bottle (you have to ask for their special sake list) and the one we had was outstanding. I'd return any time I'm in Seattle.

My Knowledgeable Friends Know It Is Great

By Royce F |

While I don't know all that much about Japanese food, I've eaten at Fuji Sushi a couple of times with friends who have eaten there many times over the years. They and I are satisfied. It's not so much the sushi, but the combination plates that provide variety so all can find something they like. It is also well-priced. You won't be disappointed.

Good, fresh sashimi.

Good, fresh sashimi.

Fresh, Tasty, Inexpensive

By Linda O |

This is a great place to eat very well for not a lot of money! Though the menu is extensive and interesting, with a nice selection of fresh sashimi & sushi, we 3 friends each opted for a Bento Box which is only $13 - at dinner time! Everything was fresh and tasty and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this restaurant in old China Town.

Awesome food and bento boxes are great value

By SamWoodward |

Fuji is my favorite Japanese restaurant bar none. Their tonkatsu is the standard by which I measure all others. You'll see lots of Japanese eating here--a good sign. The bento box options, at $11.95, including miso soup, Japanese pickles and other treats, are a bargain. I've always had excellent service and I can't remember any time I had a complaint in our many visits over the years. Note: Fuji offers free parking sort of behind the restaurant, up the hill. This is a major plus in the International District.

Great lunch menu and sushi!

By blbuskar |

When my husband stumbled on this place after finding that the wait at Maneki without a reservation was close to two hours, we were thoroughly impressed and relieved to have eaten at Fuji sushi. Our waiter was fantastic and the sushi for dinner was amazing and reasonably priced. This restaurant is on the northern cusp of the International District, so it's removed from the touristy hub-bub and because of that there is definitely a delicious authenticity to their food. We ordered four maki rolls and only paid about $6-10 per roll (which is unheard of in an expensive city like Seattle). We know our sushi, and while San Francisco was a top competitor for best city sushi, Seattle wins! The great Asian community and history in the International District really make this area and this restaurant just a bit more impressive. When we returned for lunch the next day is was PACKED with locals, but luckily just the two of us could squeeze in and enjoy a very reasonably priced bento box lunch!

Great Sushi and Lovely Ambience

By Jeffrey L |

This is my favorite sushi place in Seattle. No it is not one of the trendy places in the Belltown area but it is right in the heart of the International District and the neighborhood still feels like old Seattle. The sushi is excellent with lots of choices including geoduck. Sake is strongly recommended. Service is attentive and you feel like you are in a Japanese restaurant...because you are! Great place for families, but the decor is simply elegant. Eat here and enjoy the local sites and museum.

Nice design Japanese Restaurant

By 206jazz |

They have good two main combos that are a good price. The design of the interior is nice. The also have parking available if you don't want to pay the meters till 8:00 PM

Excellent Sushi

By Sarah |

Everything we had was absolutely amazing and we had a lot of food! The dynamite shrimp was a great starter. I had ramen and the Las Vegas roll and both were to die for. My son devoured his Philadelphia roll and beef teriyaki. My husband had a bento box that had an insane amount of fresh food. The server was attentive but not pesky and the price was completely reasonable. 100% going back!

Good food - reasonable price

By nlance2016 |

This is my go to restaurant for the International District because they have free parking. They have enough choices on their menu to pleased everyone.

Stylish Interior, Great Lunch Menu

By marialulu |

This is our favorite place to have lunch in the International District of Seattle. The interior is chic and understated. The servers are warm and professional. The lunch menu has lots of great choices. The bento box lunch offers a wide selection with a bowl of hot miso soup brought to you right away. They also offer a complimentary cup of green tea which is so earthy and astringent. If you are by yourself it's fun to sit at the sushi bar and watch the guys perform their magic right in front of you. It gets crowded at lunch time, go early or wait til after one to avoid a wait. A most delightful place at a reasonable price.

Good value in the ID

By Arthur K |

This is a place that is of great value. I had a birthday dinner there with 18 people. They were able to accommodate the space and everyone had a dinner for around $20/person before drinks. The portions were very big for that price point too. It's not very often you can find a sushi restaurant and be full for that price. The service speed was pretty good too considering we had 18 in our group. One thing I did notice was the service was a bit clumsy. That dropped 2 glasses a bowl and a few beers during the time we were there.

Good sushi

By Melanie E |

A couple of friends invited me here for dinner. I had a hard time choosing what to order as the menu was extensive. I ended up ordering the $24 Bento Box with the added sashimi to taste the variety. Everything was tasty with plenty of leftovers. They have some specials listed on the board. The others ordered a udon noodle along with a few appies – Agedashi Tofu, chicken karaage (tender meat that wasn’t overcooked), shrimp tempura roll, & assorted tempura. Unfortunately the tables were too close for my comfort. The woman next to our table was obviously coughing & sniffling away with no partition between the tables. I lost my appetite after that. Service was courteous and prompt.

Good sushi

By Waltj-Seattle |

We made reservations and was able to find street parking within 1 block of restaurant. The staff was attentive but gave us our space. We asked for recommendations and they asked us what we like and provided recommendations based on our response. Excellent offering and we really enjoyed the sushi. Overall great experience. The place seemed to be mid size so I would recommend reservations. They also have a Instagram page where they post a lot of what they offer.

The taste was really good!

By Inori30 |

The taste was really good! I’ve ordered Bento, which was delicious with Japanese style fish grill and fresh sashimi and a lot of other options with a large quantity. The price was definitely worth it! The employees were friendly. They gave me advices about local market. I HAD great time!^^

Super food with a large selection

By Cody K |

This is my fav Japanese restaurant in Seattle's Chinatown. Very consistent & yummy. Their bento boxes provide a great variety. The portions are good size.

Great lunch spot

By Les C |

I've been to Fuji Sushi twice and had an excellent meal both times. The bento box is a great lunch special. The sushi is fresh and the teriyaki chicken is a must try.

Good fresh sushi and hot dishes, but pricey for dinner

By Travel2Food |

Mon 2/27/12 7pm: Fuji Sushi/Seattle, WA/: Good fresh sushi and hot dishes, but pricey for dinner. We heard lunch is much better value but there’ll be line out the door if don’t come early. Pretty friendly staff, reasonably wait time, and validated parking (about 6-7 spots). Perhaps we’ll return for lunch but not dinner.3 stars.

Service great; food not so much….

By Jane E |

I’ve been here many times, tho not recently…and I’ve always enjoyed the food. Today was different, and I’m wondering why. Katsudon was the worst example of this simple Japanese dish I have ever had. Dry, tasteless - missing the basic egg, soy, onion flavors usually present. For the first time in my life, I sent it back. Replaced with a dry, overcooked tonkatsu. My friend had the nabeyaki udon, which she reported was ā€˜meh’ (she’s Japanese, and knows what it should taste like). Service was excellent- friendly and warm. What’s happened to the food here? Maybe sushi is still excellent- I can’t comment on that. But what a shame. Won’t be coming back.

Great fresh sushi and awesome black cod

By Damon C |

My wife and I flew up to Seattle from the bay area for a wedding and wanted to sample what the city had to offer as far as sushi. We love eating sushi and wanted to see if Seattle was comparable to San Fran. We had several recommendations by friends but decided to go to Fuji Sushi in the city's International District since Shiro's sushi restaurant was all booked for that evening. My first impression of the place was that the decor was very nice...My wife and I also noticed that the restrooms were very cleaned which is always good in our book. Now on to the food. On top of our nigiri orders, we ordered edamame, chicken karaage, and their Black cod. We've been sightseeing earlier that morning and did a lot of walking we both had quite an appetite. Every piece of the nigiri orders were delicious and fresh however their Aji was "oh my god" delicious. The black cod was as good as it can be and we left the place wanting to already come back. We'll be sure to head back to this place if we are ever in Seattle again. Hopefully not for another wedding as the one we attended was a dread. Im sure my wife won't be too happy with that statment.

Nice place with fresh food

By blake0821 |

Chose this place for our anniversary dinner which did not disappoint. I had the fried tofu which was fair, the veggie tempura was good and the avocado roll would have been better if not wrapped in inori. My Husband enjoyed amaebe, and some fresh sushi pieces. My son had firecracker roll and happy roll. We Also had Sapporo draft for 2.95 happy hour price and my son had snow white sake. Sesame and red bean ice cream topped the dinner.

Great Lunch with Family and Friends

By Turnkey56 |

Really have enjoyed the food here over the years. 1st time in awhile, since my retirement, that I have been here. The lunch specials are perfect as I had the salmon and cod. Service was great along with the atmosphere. Validated parking as I understand.

Where Japanese go for sushi

By Glenn N |

In the realm of Seattle's Asian restaurants, Fuji flies a bit under the radar -- except among the most discerning. My mother, who is from Japan, was with us during our last visit. She has always said you can judge a Japanese restaurant by its tempura, and she was raving about Fuji's, even saying its was better than one of her friend's, which she'd always considered the standard. Very high praise indeed. The fish here is fresh and well served. We had a roll off the daily specials which was great - it had salmon and citrus, which doesn't sound as fantastic as it was. Reservations can be made via Open Table, and I'd make them, just in case. It's not always packed, but there usually are plenty of people. Check their website for parking instructions; they validate at a nearby lot.

We Get Great Sushi In New York ...

By R0B61 |

We get great sushi in New York and this was fantastic! We couldn't get a reservation at the stuffy places downtown, so we took a walk to the international district. Very fresh! Get the salmon - that's what they're known for here. Jose our waiter was the nicest person ever (seems to be the norm here in Seattle!) Great meal! Recommend highly.

Raw chicken served. Salmonella risk

By chriscyy |

raw chicken served and server initially was very apologetic. replaced with another serving, but unfortunately undercooked chicken with blood oozing out from meat. informed server that servicing undercooked chicken posed significant Salmonella risk. server insisted the chicken they served was safe to consume.

Great food, not so great service!

By Richard |

Our first time here. Lots of parking, nice clean place with good food. The service was not so good. It took about 30 minutes to get our food, which is fine, but I ordered hot tea, which didn't come out till my meal arrived, even after asking three times for it. Our Sushi appetizer came AFTER the meal was done not before as promised! One person in our parties lunch didn't arrive until we three were done! The place was NOT busy, and they had three chefs behind the Sushi counter. Just very disorganized.

I don't know if it's me...

By Safari56184 |

I don't know if it's me, but the food here seemed to taste better years ago, before their renovation. My favorite Japanese restaurant was Takohashi, but it's gone now...damn.

GREAT FOR THE PRICE

By sakana4you |

The food for the price was grest. The shrimp tempura was one of the best i every had warm and cook to perfection. The teriyaki salmon and chicken was a little dry as if it was cook early and left under a warming light. What was disappointing was the tonkatsu serve with hot dog mustard not tonkatsu mustard and the waitress said its like the samething. Later brought us the real thing. Sushi was good and fresh. Over all a good place to eat for the price.

Very Good Sushi

By marvtv |

Great place to eat. Gets crowded fast. Somewhat tight eating area, but service and food are top-notch.

Excellent Japanese cuisine in a handsome setting.

By dadhy |

We hadn't been since Covid. Much improved under new management. So pleased we invited our family for a return dinner. Some examples: Vegetable Bento fresh, tasty at $22. Rainier Bon [sashimi] at $42. Three bustling sushi chefs. Separate traditional tatami room for larger parties.

A great choice, espeically the bento

By syncomm1 |

We go there for happy hour. Though the selections are limited, they are fine, and the bento, served into the evening is a great value...soup, cucumber salad, chicken and steak with some sushi, or just fish for under $20. A great deal with a fine atmosphere. And the topper....free parking around the corner, a plus in that neighborhood.
