I recently stayed at the hotel and went to Gabriel's each night for dinner. It has a nice bar with TV's on the wall showing various sporting events. Bartenders are friendly and attentive. Meals are pub style, very plentiful and reasonably priced. Without a lot of restaurants available close by this is a very good option for nightly dinner and a few drinks.

Salmon is yummy for dinner and a pleasant find in a "pub". It seemed like an unlikely dinner spot but proved to be a convenient and tasty selection.

We found Gabriel's Cafe after searching for a restaurant within walking distance that offered American Cuisine. This place does not disappoint. The drinks are strong (you definitely get your money's worth). The food was fabulous. The burgers were mouth watering. The staff was very friendly and engaging. The lunch menu is different from the dinner menu. We had lunch, but will go back again next year when we visit and try out dinner.

Met several friends in Gabriel's for cocktails and some football viewing. Well staffed, excellent service.

Surprisingly innovative, quality food for a sports bar. Closes early some nights, and never past 11pm. Your best option when staying at the ATT.

Avoid during holidays. Staff friendly, but food selection very limited . Food quality average, nothing special.

This cafe was quite busy with a couple of networking parties going on. That said, three of us had a table and were not disturbed by anything happening. The food was served promptly and the waitresses were very courteous and helpful. A nice place to eat and grab a quick drink, especially for a hotel.

The amazing staff help me when I am wishing for items not on their menu. I really wanted fresh fruit, which was not on the menu, and Lacy said she would get it. The fruit bowl is full of pineapple, cantaloupe, blackberries, strawberries, and fresh mint leaves. I appreciate the wonderful people at Gabriel’s Café.

Dependable quality food with great service. Nice large indoor space, and a smaller outdoor section. Good dependable place to eat.

I don't expect much from hotel restaurants, so I was pleasantly surprised by Gabriel's Cafe. The simple sandwiches (most with an Austin twist) were very tasty. I appreciate friendly, efficient service, and was not disappointed. The restaurant was very busy during lunch, but the quality of the food and service didn't suffer. I ended up eating here multiple times during my stay! (a rare occurrence for me.)

This stuff is so good, I ordered a second. Their turkey sandwich is so good, you will seriously forget you're eating a turkey sandwich.

I had food here late night about 10 minutes prior to closing. I ordered the shrimp cocktail. It was just okay. The shrimp was good, but I didn't really like the sauce. It reads that it is spiked and I could taste the alcohol. The flour tortilla strips were excellent. The bartenders were very friendly. And I would definitely go back again and try another tentree in the future.

Food and service were excellent. I couldn't' get a table at the "nice (Carillon?)" restaurant so ate here. I had the salmon and chick-pea salad and was pleasantly surprised. Very good.

Traditional wings to maple roasted Brussel sprouts, with excellent burgers, roasted vegetable sandwiches, to roasted cauliflower and asparagus topping a barley pilaf.

Great service, yummy food. It’s always a treat to meet up at Gabriel’s. Good selection of wines plus innovative and flavorful menu choices.

Didn't want to leave the hotel for dinner, so grabbed a quick meal here. Grilled cheese sandwich was decent. Good flavor, but very dry and crispy. Tough to eat. Chips were pretty greasy and somewhat stale. The wings were average. Certainly not outstanding.

Watched the vikings lose to the bears on Monday night after a bad experience in San Antonio. The bar staff was great and entertaining. The patrons even more so as we rated the music together. A lot of fun.

We popped in to order a light, late supper. There were a couple of larger groups eating, but far from crowded. Service was noticably slow. We hailed the waiter.....twice.....and finally got someone clearing off the tables to take our order. Our food was good (hamburger and a salad) but the delay in getting the order in soured us from this AT&T Conference resturant.

Gabriel’s Café keeps coming up with tasty and new offerings. Unique cheeses, sauces, and drinks are concocted and are really yummy. I really like salads and soups. The choices are great.

Their menu changes and there are interesting surprises. The Nachos were a nice surprise. They are plentiful, yummy, and great for sharing. My sun likes the spicey wings. Their burgers are also good.

The waitstaff is not pushy at all. The food was great! The service was a bit slow but it was very busy and understaffed in my opinion.

Stopped by after a full day in a conference. Had an IPA and the wife had a Mojito. Not very authentic but a decent drink. Good selection of beers and some bar food available. My way from had the carnitas tacos and chips and really enjoyed them. I’ll be back.

Nice relaxed Cafe with options to dine inside and not miss the Basketball and Baseball games on the big screens or dine outside on the patio. The meals were simple, but exptremely tasty. The service was good and the atmosphere relaxed

Last time I ate here with friends for lunch I had the grilled cheese and it was very good. This time I decided to try the Texas salad at $13. The lettuce was all old and brown, there was maybe one sliced egg, but not even half of an avocado, a tablespoon of grated cheese, same amount of corn. One of the worst salads I've had and at a high price. No bread with the salad either. So with salad and iced tea and tip - $20. I will not be ordering again and may choose a different location to meet friends.

Took a course at the at&t center and found gabriels easy, reasonable price and a good locale to visit with new classmates. Staff were knowledgable and friendly. Big tvs for the sports lovers. Had the tinga tacos - tasty and could have ate more. Had the recommended Rueben and it was great too. Went to Gabriels three times during the week for meet and greet drinks.

I really want to like this place but every time we go it is the same issue with super slow and sometimes inefficient service. I have been in this place at least 10 times as my parents stay here for home UT games and I drive over to meet them before the games so we can get a drink and a bite to eat. Every time it has taken well over an hour to get from sit down to a drink to a check... sometimes longer. The food is OK but overpriced and more times than not is cold by the time it comes out. Drinks come out at random times, even when they are ordered together. The last time we were there it took close to 20 mins to get a drink and the waitress stated she forgot to even put the order in. I really wish there were either better options by the stadium. Or that Gabriel's would staff this place better on game days. They know the place will be packed and yet there are never enough staff.

A good place to have a snack and a drink right at the ATT Hotel and conference center at UT Austin. Fire prices.

Beautiful location with terrible service and food is not better. Salad my wife had was suppose to have goat cheese and it took 20 minutes to get someone to bring out some---they brought it in a small amount and never apologized. My fries were cold. But our server was terrible. Go elsewhere

The restaurant was freezing cold, and the menu was small. There was not much for vegetarians like myself to eat. I ended up just ordering a salad.

We had some great sandwiches and salads. There was a question on the check and the manager quickly responded to our concerns.

Quiet, cozy little cafe off the beaten track. It is inside the AT & T Conference and Education Center. I sat in a comfy little lounge area and enjoyed a drink after a long day. I did not eat there, just had the one drink, but the waiter was just as attentive to me as he was to his table customers. That being said, I can't review the food, but the service and atmosphere aspects were very nice and I enjoyed my brief visit.

We were planning to have lunch at carillons, but unknown to us is only open for breakfast on Sundays. Gabriel's was a nice alternative. Try the trio tacos--very tasty. They were really big enough to share.

had two, awesome salads here. The kale salad with Marconi almonds & bing cherries & the beet salad with mixed greens. I also had their quinoa , chickpea burger on top of my salad. All were delicious! Very satisfied!

Ate here a few times during my stay at the AT&T conference center. The food was okay, and that was fine. We weren't looking for fine dining, and this was totally serviceable. And the drinks were nice. The Pecan Old-Fashioned was really tasty.

Convenient to University of Texas with great lunch menu and good service. Quiet location in ATT center where a business lunch can be held or just an enjoyable visit with friends.

It is a cafe, not a fancy restaurant. The food was simple, but fresh and tasty. Mexican inspired, but not "plate of cheese" Mexican. I had the taco plate with portobello mushrooms instead of meat. Outstanding As was the chicken tortilla soup. I would not hesitate to eat here again In fact, I likely will tomorrow!

I am so glad they are open. They do their very best to accommodate clients. One time, I just wanted a baked potato with all of the fixings. It was not on the menu but they provided it. I was thrilled. I recently had a delicious pancake breakfast with blueberry compote and sliced and caramelízed orange and lime slivers. It was also beautiful. I also had yummy shrimp tacos on another occasion. They try very hard to make people happy here and I appreciate it.

We divided a club sandwich which came with potato or corn chips. Since the potato chips seemed greasy, we opted for the corn chips, which also turned out to be greasy. The service was not fast. This is also a bar, so people probably sit around a long time.

I had a drink at this cafe while staying at the attached hotel. The beer selection was great, but the service was pretty sub-par.

Stopped in between meeting for a quick sandwich and ice tea. Food was good and the service was very pleasant and professional. I was after the lunch hour so it was not crowded. I sat by a table near an outlet, re-charged devices, caught up on emails and went back to meeting refreshed. Great stop.

Convenient place to get a burger if you are staying at the AT&T Center. Nice bar. Open until 11 PM on a weeknight. On the pricey side.

Great food at this place. Must try if you are in the area or staying at the AT&T Conference Center. Waiters and Bar Staff were friendly and very helpful to our group.

Located in the lower level of the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, the Falafel sandwich and “power greens” salad are two really good choices if you are looking for vegan options.

Stopped in for a few drinks. Staff was friendly and attentive. Didn’t have to wait. Also ordered take out to bring back to the hotel room. I had the best chicken quesadilla I’ve had in a long time. I had them alter it a bit from their recipe on menu using just chicken and cheddar cheese and it was still awesome. In addition to the bar, they have a dining area as well and serve lunch and dinner. Had a good experience. Highly recommend.

Easy as it is in the hotel and the staff are very nice. Atmosphere is a sports bar and clean and comfortable. I've eaten here a couple of times out of convenience. The burgers are decent but I couldn't recommend anything else on the menu.

Good food and great service in what is essentially a hotel bar. Big tv, comfortable furnishings. This is a good choice for either business travelers or family groups visiting the university.

I can't really recommend Gabriel's. It's a sports bar with a limited food menu. In a city with so many options, they need to up their game.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner with our daughter and 3-1/2 year old grandson at Gabriel's during our stay at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center. The food was fresh and well prepared. The waitress was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient.

The 13 1/2 Hour Pecan Smoked Brisket was my favorite meal here! The wait-time was a bit longer than I would have preferred, but the quality and flavor of the food certainly made it worthwhile.

Pretty good place. Service was great. Food was ok. Freezing inside. Not too many healthy options, but a good place to go to for a quick bite.

The service was a tad slow due to limited amount of staff on hand, but the food was great....try the pulled pork (tasty) and the Texas Lemonade. Nice comfortable interior and good prices are to be had.

We were NOT impressed with this restaurant. It was difficult to find an appealing option on the menu. The service was slow. The food was over done.

Nice reasonable meal on site - worked well for us. Try the fried chicken - unusual and good. Wait staff was great.

Love to stop in at Gabriel's before heading home from work. Nice place to have a bite and a beer (or an old fashioned!). Love that there are happy hour items on appetizer menu for a discount. Would love to see them expanded a bit to have some new things to try.

A bar on campus - how great is that. Has both inside and outdoor seating albeit small and can get crowded at 5:00. Lots of UT faculty, staff, and students as well as convention hotel guests. Moderately priced bar food and full bar.

They have several tasty salads on their menu. I really like the Super Food salad with kale, avocado, different types of nuts including pinion nuts, and yellow squash. My husband likes the Cobb salad. The ingredients at are fresh and the salad is tasty.

After touring the Blanton Museum I needed to find lunch some where. It so happen on Sunday the museum cafe offered little other than cold sandwiches and I wanted a hot meal. A woman at the museum recommended Gabriel's Cafe to me and it ended up working out great because I needed a taxi which is offered just outside their door and it was walking distance since I had no car. Located in the AT&T conference center ground level Gabriels is the hotels bar/lounge restaurant. It is on the edge of UT campus, a view of the tower is within view of the door I entered. I found it to be huge, but on the day I visited hardly anyone was there. I scouted the bar with playoff football and did not hesitate. A couple of others had also ponied up and were enjoying the game and some libations. A look around the dining room and the place was spotless. Every table clear, every chair in it's place and it presented nicely. The male bartender took no time to get my drink order and since I was in a hurry I told him I needed to order quickly and catch a cab. He placed a menu in front of me and I flipped it open and reviewed and asked for a recommendation of something hot. He said the house burger with house made chips are a great item, especially for a first timer. So I said go for it and had a brew in front of me in no time. He was friendly and we chatted a bit about Austin since I was from out of town.

Had dinner after along day at the conference. I ordered the Texas cheese steak sandwich. Great flavors, excellent service, and not to expensive.

We had a wonderful experience. I ate their famous ice cream while watching the NBA final. They have several TVs and comfortable seating. There is also an outdoor seating area that is also very comfortable.

I’ve been to the AT&T Conference Center several times, and in the past have enjoyed Gabriel’s. The “loaded” brisket nachos are really good, and the bartenders are always on the ball. This time though, it seemed to take a very long time to receive our food even though it wasn’t crowded. I don’t think it was the servers fault – it seemed to just take a long time to come out of the kitchen. I may give them another chance again next time, but with so many great options to have dinner about a mile away it may be a little harder to convince myself not to hop in the car.

We stopped at Gabriel's Café for lunch while staying at the AT&T Center Hotel. Service was attentive and knowledgeable.. The Taco Platter was tasty and the Salmon Salad received compliments as well.

Gabriel's Cafe is located inside the majestic AT& Conference Center and Hotel. It offers amazingly simple, yet delicious snacks, small plates and dinners. The salads are fresh and unique. The appetizers, drinks and happy hour are something not to miss. The meals are yummy, innovative and delicious. The staff are to die for. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and kind. John, Nick, and the rest of the staff are amazing. This place is a great stop to grab a bite before heading to the History Museum, Blanton Art Museum, or just to roam UT campus. It's location is divine, and the hotel it's attached to ain't to shabby, either. :)

The restaurant windows all around offering nice views. The staff was very friendly. The food was good we ordered chips and queso/salsa/guacamole as an appetizer. Yum! Lunch was taco carnitas and it was very good.

Food is usual hotel casual, nothing special. Service was great. Good place to go to grab a quick bite and watch sports.

staff was very friendly. the food was good and came out quickly which was a pleasant surprise as the cafe was packed with two swim teams in town for a meet.

After spending four nights at the AT & T Executive Education Center and visiting Gabriel's each and every night, Kevin needs a raise! In my book - there's nothing more delightful than bellying up to the hotel bar and talking with the bartender and getting recommendations on what to do in the city. In talking with Kevin - he recommended that we eat our way through Austin! In four days - you really can't eat through any city.....but being on the Campus of the University of Texas.- my hubby and I gave it the "old college try!' Gotta give credit where credit's due and it just wasn't Kevin - but other folks working in Gabriel's shared their experiences and personalities with us and we thoroughly had a great time each and every night we visited Gabriel's! Sorry, can't review the food, we never ate there. Everything we saw that came out of the kitchen looked DELISH.. But, we did go there every night for the next night's dinner recommendations....we took to heart the recommendation of Fixe and Salt Lick and other suggestions such as the LBJ Library and the like. So enjoyed the quietness of the bar and the fact that we could watch just a bit of hockey (they had ESPN but not the NHL channel). So impressed with the entire state of TX - especially the hospitality. Everyone employed at Gabriel's seem like they truly enjoy what they do. What an amazing impression for the AT &T Executive Education Center and Austin. Thanks Kevin - we have such awesome memories of Austin!!

Gabriels is a watering hole for the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center Hotel. The food is generally very good to excellent with some exceptions but the service is really hit or miss. We were at the hotel for a conference and ate there several times. One time it was like pulling teeth to get waited on then the next time it was the exact opposite. One thing not to order is chips and dips. We ordered chips and dip twice, first time the chips were just plain stale. We gave them a second change on a separate visit an the chips were again kinda stale, not really crispy. The entrees on the other hand were very good to excellent

Didn't eat there, but had drinks at the bar. Bartender/servers super friendly, had excellent chocolate martinis!

Good food and drinks were served by attentive wait staff. Try the 4 cheese grilled cheese sandwich or the salad with the pecans and strawberries. All were fixed fresh.

Casual, upbeat, quick but courteous service, reasonable prices. Turkey BLT was excellent, salad is good but nondescript.

I've been here a couple of times while staying or meeting at the AT&T Executive Conference Center. The drinks are reasonably priced and the service was great. Great place to meet others attending your training or conference.

My son and I came in here after walking all over the UT campus on a super hot and humid day. The servers were great offering us some cold water, etc. We went to order and we were going to get something that my son had there before called "dip trio" which is chips with bowls of cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole (I think). When we ordered it, the server said, "Get the nachos. They're bigger, it has the same stuff and you can add meat!". So we did. The bowl had chips in it and A LOT of saucy, cheesy, liquid in it which meant that we took the chips from the top and after killing those, the bowl was basically just soup. The flavor was good but the execution could use an adjustment, IMO. We also ordered some BBQ beef brisket which was fine but not that great. I ordered a beer and drank it relatively quickly but no one came by to see if I needed another one. Our water glasses were empty and no one refilled them unless we flagged them down. They could have sold me at least another beer if not 2. They seemed to be more interested in cleaning and talking.

I was in the hotel on business and wandered into Gabriel's to watch the US play in the World Cup. Spacious pub atmosphere, great local brews on draft (I had the IPA, which was excellent), and the burger was killer, and reasonably priced. And the huge TV was right behind the bar, so it was easy to watch the game and cheer on the team. All in all, a nice experience.

Nice decor, comfortable seats - convenient location if you are visiting the Capitol and the Bullock museum, and of course UT. Our server was really nice but became much less attentive in the second half of our lunch (drink refills and bringing the check) I had a mushroom soup too start - tasty but way too thick, consistency more like gravy. I really liked the superfood salad. My husband had the vegan Banh Mi - again tasty but way too much garlic - the bun was over sized for the filling quantity. Would try again if we were back in Austin.

The cafe/bar was very enjoyable. The drinks on special were very tasty with adequate alcohol. Choices and variety of foot were excellent. Atmosphere was relaxing but yet people could enjoy themselves. Service from bartenders and wait staff were superb.

This cafe is located in the AT & T building.....a hotel/conference center, great location just between the University of Texas campus and downtown. Wow.....what a bad meal we had here.....wouldn't recommend this place, not with all the great places to try around Austin! Among us we had sandwiches, a hamburger and a salad, and none of us found the food good. Certainly the facility looks impressive, check out those very tall copper doors at the entrance to the building. But as for a place to eat, spend your money elsewhere for sure!

Good food, good wine selection and friendly staff ... All at reasonable prices for a conference center. I visited three days in a row! Drinks are made with fresh hand squeezed juices -- I watched them squeeze dozens of limes.

The salad I ordered is fresh that makes hot summer day more bearable! Service is great! Though it is a bit expensive-- with tips one salad cost me $21

Attending a conference at the AT&T center, this was a great place to grab lunch. I had a half of a chopped salad, and a cup of soup. The soup was sweet potato maple, and it was the most amazing cup of soup I have EVER had! I am saddened that this is not on the menu everyday.

A little known pub with lofty ceilings, sitting area, large bar and tables offer a unique dining space on the UT campus. Just don't go after a Longhorn football game! Their nacho serving is enough for three people, the burgers and fries in a huge cake tin looking plate and their salads are equally large. They have a choice of beet and their Kendall Jackson Chardonnay was am ample glass. For five people plus a take out box the bill was $106! Great place if you are touring in the area.

I ordered a salad and the sweet potato tater tots. The tots were enough for a table of 4 - easy. They were good, but after eating about a hundred of them, they were a little sweet. Easy place to get a nice lunch if your working on campus.

The special cocktail of the day was a tasty creation. Wait staff was attentive most of the time, but seemed to get briefly overwhelmed when attendees from conference would pop in and out (hard to plan on)

Was at the conference hotel on business last week and stopped in for apps and drinks the first night. Happy hour is excellent with many great appetizers available and drinks at a reasonable discount. Amber waited on our table and was an excellent server. When we traveled to the bar, Kevin took over and was OUTSTANDING! Excellent mixologist and a GREAT smile! Truly enjoyed my time at Gabriel's!

At the end of a long work day, my sister and I decided to stay in house to eat. We did not expect much and got a huge surprise! The choices were unique, the food was excellent-sweet potato tater tots with maple stone ground mustard butter FABULOUS! A scrumptious pork chop the size of TEXAS.....and some of the best soup I have ever had. I will stay at this hotel just for the food every time I come to Austin. This is the one and only review I have ever written because it was that good!!! I travel for a living and eat out most days, this says something about this place!

We had a group of ten eating here one night, and our service was amazing. Our waitress was quick, efficient, accurate, and matched personality with our group. We had a great time! Then she brought the food, and things got even better. The pita wedges we got with our appetizer were, no joke, the absolute best pita wedges I've ever eaten. My coworker beside me had the truffled tater tots, and they were amazing. I had fish and chips, and the portion size was a little overwhelming. It was delicious, though!
The Gabe's Burger was awesome
I loved the Gabe's burger so much I ordered it for several meals. I was avoiding carbs, so they were happy to wrap it in lettuce instead of a bun and give me the most divine texan salad instead of fries. (this is no ordinary garden salad)
