Have the best broiled seafood combo meal . Honey soy glazed Salmon is another great meal . Manhattan clam chowder soup rocks . My son said that their hamburger meals are tops . Place is always clean . Bummed me out that last Friday they were out of flounder before 5 P.M . Have to ask for rolls @ busy takeout store. Never had a bad meal in the 40 years that we have been dining there . My nephew worked there while in high school years ago and said they treated the help great .

Excellent fresh seafood always. The crab cake is almost all lump crab meat. Items also available for land lubbers.

My family was in the area so we decided to stop at Gallo’s for dinner as we have enjoyed it in the past. Tonight however was different. While Brian did a wonderful job as a server the food had issue. I got the Pan Seared Salmon with honey soy sauce on it. It came out with a spoiled smell and I wouldn’t dare eat it. I was annoyed when the manager came out and said that she understood what I meant and that sometimes the sauce and the salmon mixed together can have a smell. This was spoiled fish that I think she was trying to cover up. She offered another dish of which I got the fried shrimp which tasted not so good as if the cooking oil was a little off. She also offered no discount on the dinner for our inconvenience. I ate just one shrimp and tried some of my son’s chicken fingers which were ok. The bread was the best thing there. We won’t be back and are disappointed when I myself went to Gallo’s for years.

I have been going here for years. The staff is well trained and the food is delicious. You never leave this place disappointed. The consistency is fabulous!

Lunch was about average in flavor but we had excellent service. The salmon was pretty good and the fried flounder was decent but not fabulous And portions were, again, average. The French fries were okay and the coleslaw was decent. We didn’t have dessert. It was an average place and nothing to really rave about except the service.

Went for lunch on a Monday. Server immediately brought good bread with butter as soon as I was seated. Always good to have something in front of you if you're hungry. I ordered Cherrystone clams from the raw bar and then the fried seafood combination. Cherrystone clams were excellent, fresh, nicely iced and presented properly with accompanying lemon and cocktail sauce. Reasonable price and truly fresh, this on a Monday, so this restaurant is taking its food handling responsibilities seriously, which for a seafood house, is extremely important. I thought the seafood (fried fish, fried shrimp, deviled crab and oysters, (the latter I added at a reasonable extra charge), while tasty, was over-breaded, detracting from the taste of the seafood itself. Accompanying roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts were cooked just about right. I noted that the restaurant has substituted the cheaper oyster crackers that sit on the table with horseradish for the more substantial ones they once featured. I used to enjoy the others; this time it was pretty much a worthless add-on. Also it used to be part of their identity (differentiation) as a restaurant. Doesn't make sense to diminish your brand for a few dollars, especially where the change is so obvious and and clearly downgrading the experience. Also they are using a generic ketchup, not a problem for me as it was OK, but just mentioning some changes that cheapen the experience. Though the experience taken as a whole was generally enjoyable it is definitely not as I recall from previous years where it was exceptional. If they continue to nullify the differentiators that marked a superior restaurant I believe they will suffer for it. Again, still a fine restaurant, but I'm concerned at the current direction of the operation. The service was excellent, (I believe the server's name was MaryRose) personable, professional and efficient. I noted that she had a sizable station over lunch, serving many tables, assisted occasionally by a roving busman who cleared dishes, etc. She checked on her station without being intrusive or overbearing but rather cheerful and smiling and appeared to like her job, was tuned-in and positively charged.

Omg! Absolutely the best I've ever had! It's a special so call and see if they have it. That should be on there main menu! Can not wait to go back!!! Outstanding!

Friend of mine showed me this place and he was a old Philly resident. Love the specials, always good. Nice bar and interior décor. Prices are good for what you get.

The Clams Casino are so good, I just can’t get enough of them. I’ve traveled quite a bit and these are really the best. Also, the muscles in wine and butter. Extremely tasty. The service was excellent. The prices are very reasonable. If you’re visiting Philly, forget about the cheesesteaks and go here. You’ll love it.

Although I love the food at Gallo's, both my wife and I were angry about a $5 service charge being added to our pickup order. I read another review by someone who felt the same way, and I totally understand. Gallo's response was that is was because they could not use plastic bags any longer. In my graduate course on business, this was called "the cost of doing business." I also have to question that a paper bag costs $5 more than a plastic one! Very disappointing, but we've agreed that we're never going to be charged that fee again because we won't be ordering takeout in the future. Sorry Galllo's, but I think this was a bad business decision!

Excellent seafood dinner. We had their combination seafood platter. Server was excellent. No wait time at all.

There was no waiting for a table. Our waitress Jacklyn was excellent, attentive and friendly. The appetizers and food were excellent.

Gallo's has stood the test of time. Moderate price, good food and very good friendly service. If my memory is good (that's a big "if") the menu had more choices last time we were there. I thought I had grouper last time but now your seafood choices are lobster, crab, scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams, flounder, salmon or tilapia. Pretty basic in my humble opinion. I had Manhattan clam chowder that was served warm (I prefer hot soup), fried calamari rings, and crab stuffed flounder which was prepared beautifully on a bed of wilted spinach. Also had a side of fried eggplant which was very good. I will most likely return sooner or later but I'd still like to find a spot where I can get some grouper.

Gallos is one of our favorite restaurants and we usually eat here at least once a week. Food is very good and the early bird specials are favorites. The staff is great and always very accommodating.

I go to The burger bar at Gallo's on Monday day nites for the Blues Jam. I absolutely love the food. Im Working my way thru the menu. This week we had crab bites and the flip pizza both were excellent. I havent been disappointed by anything I've had.

We had family gathering for 20 in private banquet room - and could not have been better. The choice of 2 entre's - glazed salmon and chicken marsala - were excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. Everyone left very happy.

We pulled into the parking lot and there was not an open spot, the lot was full, we pulled around to our regular parking spot and the car that was there was pulling out. when we got inside, we almost had to wait for two minutes, our server James, was right to us and it was total smoothed Saling from there on out. drinks, soups and dinners were on their way to us and they were great, as usual, we even took some pumpkin cheesecake home with us, it's like I aways say if you want the best go to the best and that is GALLO'S.

My husband and I have lived in Northeast Philadelphia for the past 16 years and had never visited Gallo's until a few weeks ago, and boy am I glad we did! Great service, great food, big portions, open and comfortable environment, etc...The Calamari and jumbo lump crab cakes are totally delicious; however, please if you are a key lime pie lover like myself take a piece of it to go, you'll be crawling back for more!

Gallo's is a wonderful place to eat. Their seafood is especially good, but all their enterees are delicious. I love their seeded bread, too. Their early bird specials are fabulous. Our waitress was friendly, accommodating and checked on us . I look forward to going their frequently.

The atmosphere. It’s very relaxing to sit and enjoy your food. The food is very tasty and you get a lot for your money. The most important thing is the waiters, waitresses and the hostesses are very pleasant, accommodating and seem like they enjoy being there.

Our visit to your restaurant was a gathering with my siblings that we do every few months. We like to sit and chat and catch up with each other however on this visit there was a solo singer playing in the Burger Bar that was extremely loud that prevented us from carrying on a conversation. Two large speaker for such a small venue was quite overwhelming!! Our visit was very unjoyable!! The Burger Bar is such a small venue to have loud music playing when you’re trying to enjoy dinner and have conversation. We have been to the Burger Bar many time with our friends and never encountered this before so I’m not sure if this is something new. If the volume was managed a little better I’m sure the experience would have been much better as the music selection was enjoyable.

Ordered Deviled clams. They had some type of filling that tasted ok, but it was mostly filler. Missed out on the clam. The fried eggplant tasted ok, but it was dry. The Pinot Grigio was all I could stomach. Very disappointing.

Mr.Harvey we can not say enough good about tonight’s dinner experience our sever Dianna was exceptional we love the seafood bisque and the steamed clams but OMG we both had the Pescatore and it was a dream come true, we took half of it home with us we have been eating here for a long time and never had a problem of any kind I took a picture of the plate and wish I could post it, we cannot thank you enough for the wonderful hospitality and experience that you provide. Gallo's is a friendly, relaxed family restaurant. We had a small reunion of high school friends here. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The whole staff stayed late so we could spend time with our friend who arrived very late. The food was average but fine. A nice experience in a friendly atmosphere.

Gallo's is a long time prefered place to dine we have been enjoying frequenting here as a family tradition for only about 50 years, birthday parties, funeral brunches, and just lunch and dinners. Tonight's dinner was as always excellent, our server Gianna C was very friendly and efficient the seafood bisque is the very best, Nancy had a wonderful crab imperial and I had one of the very best Pescatores, if you enjoy seafood and you want the very best, Gallo's is the place for you. Gallo's Seafood restaurant has been in my neighborhood for as long as I can remember. I took my family there when my kids were little and now they are grown. The food is just as good as it ever was. The seafood is always fresh and we'll prepared. My favorites are broiled scallops and I also love their soy honey glazed broiled salmon. On week nights you can get their early bird special that includes soup or salad, a drink, entree with 2 sides, and dessert....all for less than 20 bucks! The hot apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream that comes with the special is a highlight of the dinner. Quite delicious! The only negative is that the place is sometimes very crowded. Go early if you don't like to wait - especially on the weekend.

This is a rock steady mind of place! Food consistently good and what I would say a good value. Table service is also very good.

This is s great seafood restaurant. Not the place for a crab bake. Very accommodating and service was excellent. Had lobster and spaghetti with butter and garlic sauce. Loaded with lobster.

Gallo's is always our go-to restaurant for seafood. We especially like their deviled clams. The best anywhere! We even buy extra to take home.

Our server Erica was friendly, polite, attentive and helpful with questions with our party. I had the Seafood Bisque and Seafood Salad which was amazing.

After all these years Gallo’s isn’t a new or trendy restaurant, it just continues to do seafood right. Good service just enhances the dining experiencoe. Whether you’re at the bar or in the main dining room, the quality is the same. Had mussels in white wine and garlic and some fried calamari for appetizers last evening. The mussels may have been on the small side, but they were very tasty. The entrees sampled were tilapia with pecans, grilled scallops, and fried tilapia tacos. All extremely tasty. I can’t overlook the sides as the garlic mashed and fried eggplant were as good as the entrees themselves. For dessert, a strawberry shortcake was chosen to share. One of the best strawberry shortcakes I’ve had at a restaurant? Yes! it was hard for me to share. Delightful meal and service. Yes, after all these years, Gallo’s still is a quality seafood restaurant.

My wife and I popped in for dinner and it turned out to be a really great decision. They do it how I remember the really good old school Northeast Philly restaurants from the 80s and 90s - good food, good prices, great service, classy environment. The interior of the restaurant and bar area is really nice. Great menu selections. I had the tilapia with crab and my wife had the salmon. Good serving sizes, good prices. Our service from Irene was fast and friendly. She really knows how to treat the customers to fantastic service. We will be back soon!

If you are in the mood for seafood, this is the place to go. We started out with orange bourbon smashes which were very good and a generous pour. One of our party ordered a salad and when it arrived, it was more than enough for all four of us. We all ordered different entrees, spaghetti with mussels, broiled salmon, a broiled seafood platter and lump meat crab cakes. The portions were all generous and everyone enjoyed what the ordered. The seafood platter (which you can also get fried) had shrimp, scallops and white fish, a good variety and more than enough to satisfy. The seafood was all cooked to perfection with no over done or rubbery shrimp or scallops. The order of crab cakes consisted of two five inch patties perfectly breaded with panko bread crumbs which was not too heavy and easy on the fillers that let the crab flavor shine. I highly recommend this restaurant. Plenty of on site parking.

I always go for lunch and have the salad and bisque which is amazing and you get a good amount for the price. Tonight I had fried flounder and it was really fresh and tasted great. Our waiter Ed was very pleasant and kept our drinks filled and was extremely helpful.

Gallo's is always consistent in their freshness and food preparation. Best Manhattan Clam Chowder ever! Fried Eggplant too! Servers are friendly and attentive. Only complaint, and it's not really a big one, is to vary up the vegetable availability. Almost every time I visit, the vegetable of the day is broccoli. Even though it tastes okay, it just is not my favorite. Great food you won't be disappointed.

Our waitress Sonila gave us great service our soup was nice and hot and delicious as was our seafood combo dinners and we got to use our Gallos rewards certificate which made it even better, we were a little disappointed that we were not able to use our Restaurant Certificate but it is what it is, we have more Gallos certificates to use and we look forward to our next visit

Food is always fresh and nicely prepared. Good variety of options and portion size is more than adequate. The Manhattan Clam Chowder is always a highlight. Gallo's is a superior alternative to all of the same old chain restaurants.

I usually go to Gallos at least once a week. The food is consistently very good. I like trying different dishes on the menu. Whatever you decide on, you can never go wrong, The serve rice is very attentive and everything is very tasty and delicious!

Whether dining in or taking out a meal, our go-to neighborhood restaurant over the years has been Gallo's Seafood. Many a takeout chicken parm dinner has graced our table at the last minute! And, as always, the lump crab cake never disappoints! No filler! This particular meal was to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday and all our guests were very happy with their selections, even the picky kids!

Usually Burger Bar (awesome, too) is our go to but we were all feeling seafoody. Gallos did not disappoint. Fresh, hot and flavorful!

We attended a funeral nearby and they recommended this restaurant. We were very pleased that they sat us away from others to allow conversation without disturbing others. The crab cakes and Mac and Cheese were very popular. Portions were plentiful and everyone enjoyed the food. To bad we live in Fl or we would frequent more often!

Have been going to Gallo's for many years now and it is one of our go-to restaurants. Great prices and high-quality seafood. We usually eat there several times a month and always enjoy their early bird specials and desserts. If you haven't been there, you have to go and try it. You won't be disappointed.

my grandmother 86yrs old 1st got sick from her platter. Im 41yrs old so I thought it was just something wrong with her body. I finished her breaded flounder and I never threw-up as bad as I did that night ever in my life! Seriously you try to make money off out of date seafood you are going to kill someone. You are very lucky i don't come there!

Our server was sweet and attentive, Miss Irene. We both got the sunset special, which is a great deal that comes with all the stuff we love…coffee/tea, soup/salad, and a variety of entrees to choose from. Great value that keeps us coming back!

We were in town visiting family just for a day and went to Gallo’s for lunch. What an unexpected, delicious surprise! Living in Ohio, we do not get fresh seafood, let alone any major variety of seafood choices. So, I ordered the Fried Oyster platter and it was outstanding. My mother-in-law had the special which was a lobster salad with shrimp, and she too was happy with her choice. The restaurant was quiet enough that we could talk and catch up with each other. The service was exceptional. We will definitely go back.

Our meal was excellent!! My husband and I both ordered the fried shrimp dinner from the early bird menu. You cannot beat the value for the price. Eight large butterflied shrimp, a heaping helping of waffle fries and tasty coleslaw. And with the early bird special you also get dessert and/or soup/salad. Michael our server was very attentive…Even though he was very busy he stopped by often to check on us. Excellent customer service!!

To start with, this NorthEast Philly seafood restaurant had lots of parking and quite a good lunch crowd. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waters, bread, and drinks were also served promptly. Very nice, service-oriented staff too. My glass of red sangria was the best I’ve had in a long time. I ordered a side salad with my entree. It was a nice size and included fresh mixed greens, cucumber, tomatoes, carrot and red cabbage. My blue cheese dressing was very tasty and chock full of huge chunks of blue cheese. So good! We ordered the Seafood Pescatore: a pasta dish with clams, scallops, mussels, shrimp and lump crab served with choice of white wine, oil and garlic sauce or red sauce. We both chose white sauce and asked for no mussels. Our server was happy to comply and asked what seafood to replace the mussels. We asked for clams. No problem. In fact, as you can see by my photo, the dish had so much seafood on the top of the dish, we could not see the pasta below! Excellent, fresh seafood dish. We were so pleased with portions, freshness and preparation. The dishes were so large, we ate only half, saving the rest for dinner later. Topping off the meal, we had a delicious, rich and oversized warm brownie ala mode with whipped cream. We left full, happy, and wanting to return. Facility was clean, lively and welcoming. Can’t wait to return!

Gallo's never disappoints. Soups were hot and delicious, seafood was likewise and service was very friendly, attentive and efficient I was pleased with everything except that I would like to see fewer "MP" items on the menu.

As always everything was super great our server Mike P (429) was the best we love the seafood bisk it is the very best, dinner was delicious and we could not leave with out taking some of the great cheese cake home with us. and we used our rewards coupon.

With a party of ten, and a reservation for 4:00 pm on mothers day the service we had at Gallos was nothing short of terrible. Now granted I know holidays can be especially btrutal on resturants, and those dining there. The treatment my family and I Received this Mothers day was inexcusable. We arrived earlier than our reservation as sugested by Gallo employees when the reservation was made. We proceeded to wait for around 25 to 35 minutes. After this first wait we were usherd to a table that was meant to seat six people, four less than our reservation of ten. We informed the staff and were made to wait an aditional 30 minutes. Finally we were sat at a pair of tables placed end to end to acomodate our party. As we plaiced the drinks for our children the waitress sudenly departed while leaving three of our party without drinks. She evetually returnd and we drew her attention to the missing orders. We tend to order the kids food before all others, and although their food came out in a timely maner, our food was was not to be seen till after 6:00 pm. Our appetizers were placed alongside the kids food, but our food was nowhere to be seen well after they were gone. Though we continued our conversations several of our party were becoming aggrivated. Though evetualy our food came and we ate it without much gusto, we were all just ready to put this damn experience behind us.

Food was delicious as always and Dave, our server, was pleasant, welcoming, friendly but professional. Glad to see that you have the Krinkle-cut fries; we much prefer them to the waffle fries. All in all, a great dining experience.

I used to feel dining @ Gallo's was something reserved for special occasions but not any more.Service was good but the food was average.What kind of seafood restaurant only has 1 style clam chowder?No baked potato?Entrees seemed a bit pricey although some of the early bird specials seemed like a good value.Noise level is very loud. Although Gallo's made their name as seafood restaurant, the menu seems kinda thin.I remember when they were located in tiny place on frankford ave serving on paper plates.Northeast Philly is definitely going through some changes .but not necessarily for the better.Lots of old time eaterys are disappearing and seem to be gone forever.

My wife and I were visiting Philadelphia for a day in late April 2018 and stayed with a friend. We took our hosts to Gallo's for a 7pm dinner on a Wednesday. We ordered the calamari for the table (very good), while I ordered the fried oyster meal and my wife ordered a salad and the clam chowder. Our friends ordered seafood and pasta meals. Everything tasted very good and the portions were fairly generous, although I kind of wish there were a few more fried oysters and that they had been a bit moister. My wife's salad and chowder were quite tasty, and our friends reported they enjoyed their meals. Service was fairly fast, servers were friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. With 20% tip, our meal (without alcoholic beverages) ran $122, which seems fine for a seafood dinner for four.

Another great meal! Our server Ed was friendly and attentive! The roaster stuffed Flounder was delicious, first time trying that, will definitely get it again!

I just can't say enough about Gallos our servers are always excellent, very friendly, and courteous. My soup was hot and I loved the salad and fried seafood, definitely delicious. We have been coming to Gallos for many years and have never had a bad experience and the price is right, along with the new discount program. Really do not know how you can improve perfect. Staff remained extremely short throughout the duration of our lunch. The salad, drenched in dressing, remained uneventful and the chicken parmigiana tasted just ok.

Had a late lunch at Gallo's, one of our longtime favorites. Our experience was great—as always! Excellent food, and very good service. A great place for oysters at a reasonable price. And don't forget the made in house desserts (my favorite is the apple crisp). A place far too often overlooked.

we were seated just as soon as we arrived and our server Cynthia was great and fulfiled all of our requests we have been comming here for only about 50 years for Birthdays, after funeral get togethers, and just family get togethers. all that they have done is get better over the years. My taste buds are still singing from our last visit! The " FRESH " Seafood was flavorful, savory, and succulent. I was happy to see how clean everything was. Ordered 3 dinners from Gallos through Door Dash and one dinner a crab cake dinner was missing from the order. Contacted Door Dash and they contacted restaurant. We then received a call from the restaurant from a rude manager who stated that they were not responsible and abruptly hung up the phone. Contacted Door Dash driver who stated that this wasn't the first time that he had food missing from Gallos orders and to report them to the company. The staff a Gallos is very rude and they have no customer service. End result dinner ruined wife didn't get her crab cakes. Benny the Bums has better food and better service.

Gallo's has the very best deviled clams anywhere, and they've been that way for many years! Their egg plant is also good.

We asked for our favorite waitress 509 Erica S and were blessed with her service, we asked about the french Onion soup as it is not on the menu,she explained that it was on the berger menu, so we had the delicious onion soup it was hot and grate, the crab cakes and the baked flounder were the very best, and to top it all off our next door neighbours were also here tonight and we cashed in our Gallos coupon, thanks for a grate night, as usual. see you again soon.

Nice restaurant which was very crowded. Onion rings appetizers was huge and excellent. Wanted soup but all were seafood which I am allergic. Had the boulevard drink it was tasty. Had to wait a long time for food. But was served hot with large portions size. Mushrooms were great, chicken was good but gravy was too salty. Had an apple crisp with vanilla ice cream.

Best seafood in Northeast Philly! Been eating at Gallo's for many years now and it's always been a favorite of mine! They have new owners for a couple/few years now and they kept the high quality! Best fried eggplant, great lunch and dinner specials!

Good food , staff. Went for lunch, had flounder, salmon & blackened salmon. Had a reward to use. They said it could not beused for lunch even though it did not say that on the reward certificate. Only stated could not be used with sunset special. This needs to be clarified. Baked potato would be nice addition

The food and service was very good!! The restaurant is always clean. My Son Shawn is a big fan of the burger selections. Love the sweet potato fries so much!! I am never disappointed in the service!!

We celabrated my wife and my daughters birthdays Kaitlyn was our server and she was great, we had shrimp coctail steamed clams soup great meals and drinks, have been coming here for many years kinda like a family tradition.

Tried this as my first choice restaurant wasn’t available and have to say I wasn’t disappointed. Started with a cup of the seafood Bisque, which was rich and delicious with decent sized pieces of seafood throughout, so good I wished I had went for the full plate but the cup was a good size for a starter Followed by the Scallops with risotto and asparagus which was again excellent, around 10 large scallops well cooked and a lovely perfectly cooked risotto and a few asparagus spears around the dish, good value at $24, overall a nice setting good staff service and an extensive drinks menu, would thoroughly recommend

We didn't have a reservation, we were just a walk in and the place was jamed we were seated in in about 5 minutes and were luckey enough to get our favorite waiter, Paul W. he is the very best, he took our orders and we were served right away and he made sure evrything was perfect and it was, the seafood Bisque is the very best, we had to take some home with us. our Gallos discount was applied, and we left a very happy and satisfied couple, Thank You Gallos. A relative recently moved into the area and we have visited Gallo's twice. I will certainly visit this restaurant the next time I am in Philadelphia. The waitress was a young girl who was very pleasant and attentive. We both ordered the Seafood Bisque and it came out piping hot and delicious. The scallops were generous and quite good. We found the atmosphere pleasant and relaxing after working in a not so clean environment. It was great to be able to come in early in the evening and be seated. The restaurant reminds me of a German Restaurant with lots of wood.

Usually I love Gallo's but today was a disappointment. The crab cake sandwich served at lunch had absolutely no flavor, bland and tasteless. The serving portion was miniscule about the size of a half dollar. The roll was iced cold and their fries were so salty they were not edible. I took home their clam chowder which used to be delicious and this batch was not only too spicy and salty but sour tasting. The bisque was inedible due to sour taste and salt..I hope this was an off day but I will try once more.

I can honestly say this is my favorite restaurant..the good is good I just don't understand why they do not serve some type of rice. But they have this fresh Salad Topped with fresh seafood I'm telling you its some kind of wonderful

As always, the food was exceptional! I typically order the fish tacos because they’re so good but I went outside the box this time and had the crab stuffed tilapia …and I’m glad I did! The fish was moist and flavorful and the side dishes ( roasted potatoes and stewed tomatoes) were also excellent! I only wish I lived closer…but it’s certainly worth the drive!

Ordered take out. 10 minutes+/- after placing the order, I received a call saying that they needed us to pay before they will prepare the food. I asked for the breakdown of the total to find that there is a $5 service fee for them to bag the food for pick up. I told them to cancel the order. 10+/- more minutes later, I received another call from "Jennifer" pleading with me to pick up the food as they already made it. I explained what had happened and she once again asked for me to pick up the food or it will just get thrown in the trash. Never once receiving an apology of any kind. Only an explanation that the girl that took the order was new. Never again, Gallo's! 🙁

I love the salad it’s so big and the balsamic dressing is amazing. I also had the bisque soup and it’s so full of seafood and tastes great. Also, the servers and greeter is always so pleasant and welcoming.

First of all, you may find the cost of dinner a bit higher than you expected. $18 for fried shrimp, coleslaw and french fries is a bit much. On my first visit I found great service, poor crab Imperial, excellent manhattan clam chowder, which was near the best I have ever had, coleslaw that was disappointing, but I probably expect too much for a seafood restaurant to have the very best coleslaw, above average fried shrimp that were better than you would get at a bar, forgettable french fries, a nice house wine reasonably priced and excellent apple cobbler for desert.

one of the best seafood places we have been to. we enjoyed our visit here so much. the service and food were excellent. there is plenty of free parking and the place is clean and well decorated with a beautiful mural on one wall. the prices are also reasonable. my husband had the seafood variety platter and I had the eggplant parmesan which was their special for sun. both were excellent. my husband had the sweet potato fries as a side with a special sauce which was the best we had ever had. try to go here.

I have been going to this restaurant for several years and the menu never seems to change. Sides are the same all the time. Food and service are good, but a little more variety would enhance the dining experience

Gallo's is our "go to" restaurant for great seafood. I love that their lump crabcakes are all lump, no filler. My husband had the mussels with pasta and red sauce and enjoyed it immensely. This is a dinner he only orders out and it was a treat. Service was great, too! We recently moved a distance from Gallo's but it was worth the extra travel time. for our wedding anniversary! We'll be back soon!

Great food, it is one of our families best locations for holiday and special gatherings. We have been dining here for well over ten years , food is good and portions are good.

Always enjoy going to this restaurant to get a good meal. Favorites are the Broiled Seafood Combination & Pescatore. The fried eggplant is always delicious. The Manhattan Clam Chowder is also a good appetizer.

While we understand in 2023 everything is expensive. Having to pay market price for flounder is a bit surprising and at 30 dollars for flounder!? I have been going to Gallos for over 35 years and it just seems lately it's not as enjoyable. The servers are great and very friendly. The atmosphere isn't too bad. But I just feel underwhelmed the last few times I have gone. I travel quite a bit to come here and I don't knownif I will much anymore.

My husband and I went to Gallo’s restaurant this past Sunday.My meal was very good.(As always) Loved my Mussels in red sauce and Fried eggplant. For Dessert had the cheesecake-Awesome.

This restaurant has been around for years. My family and I frequently go there. Wait staff is great and the food is delicious. Nice atmosphere. Parking is good. I always ask for a large booth.

Let us tell you it does not get any better than getting seated by the owner and having a great server by the name of ED drinks were great the steamed clams were unbelievable large and very tastey, the sea food bisque was super great as always and the Gallos sea food salad dinner was beyond delicious.

We love the burger bar. Food is great and the bartenders are awesome, so friendly Waiters and waitresses are great too but we usually sit at the bar. Always clean and decorated nice.

In my family Gallo's was a local favorite, but we now live further away and have not visited in a while. Anyway took Mom and the family there for Mother's Day dinner, as this was Mom's choice. Sadly, we were all very disappointed. While the service was good, the food was disappointing. First they seemed to be out of all sorts of things. Considering it was a holiday, there is very little reason to run out of critical ingredients with proper planning - really out of flounder - that eliminates probably six items on their menu. What we did end up ordering was disappointing. Will not be back,

I have tried many other seafood restaurants but none compare to Gallo’s. Try it you’ll love it!! Yum!

I have been going to Gallo's since the 70's on Frankford Ave. We haven't been there in around 7 years and boy what a difference. We were very disappointed. Manhattan Clam Chowder no taste but pepper. Deviled Clams and eggplant, PEPPER. Me and my mother got the same thing. My husband got fried shrimp....we laughed at how small they were. You should see the size of the shrimp you get at Kopper Kettle! Maybe we are so disappointed because we know what you used to get compared to now. Prices up quality down! Our server was very nice. Bryan was the best thing about the meal. We won't be going back. Very 😥

We came in for the great Tuesday special, The Garlic Sea Bowl and our server made it even greater thank You Melanie and we could not leave with out taking home some of the great Key Lime pie, we also got to use our $10.00 coupon. who could ask for any thing more !

Went there with family to celebrate mother’s day. Service was excellent as well as the meal. Even my brother in law that doesn’t eat seafood enjoyed his filet. Food was prepared to our liking and was served hot. Our inlaws always ate there so it made for a good evening to reminisce.

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at Gallos Seafood celebrating my birthday dinner . All our food selections were delicious! Clams casino and fried calamari for appetizers were excellent! We had a variety of entree’s between us : broiled scallops, roasted flounder, fish tacos and Cajun pork chops were ALL superb. My complimentary dessert selection was the cheesecake- it was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. The staff were very friendly and service was exceptional. We can’t wait to go back for my son’s birthday in two weeks. Thank you.

Our family had a banquet style luncheon at Gallo's on January 19th. Many of us had never been there before and were delighted with both the service and the food. Diane was our waitress and she carefully reviewed the luncheon details with each one of us. We had our choice of 2 entrees, stuffed flounder or chicken parmagiana. Both were delicious. Salad, dessert, and drinks were served also. We will return.

My aunt and I had dinner here tonight. It is our go to place when I visit her. I typically get the blackened fish tacos but I decided to try the broiled tilapia with lemon, capers and white wine, So now my problem is I have 2 favorite entrees to decide between! Our waitress was very efficient and friendly, we were served in a timely manner and not rushed!

The food at Gallo's is always a favorite for us, especially the deviled clams! They're the best anywhere. While the service was good, it seems that our waiter isn't comfortable giving us a smile while serving us. I know this may not be important to everyone, but having a friendly server is always something that makes our meals more enjoyable.

It was very busy when we arived and we were put on a waitng list, the owners Mr and Mrs Harvey were here and made sure every one was seated in a short time, we met Mr Harvey on our last viset, we didn't get the name of our young waiter but he did a great job taking care of us our soups were delicious the clam chower and sea food bisc, and we both had the Gallos sea food salad it was very fresh and great tasting, we used our Gallos coupon and we took home some desert to eat later. As always it was a great experiance at Gallos and we look forward to or next visit.

This was a place I have been wanting to try and we stopped today on our way home from Penn. Service was great and our seafood was fresh and delicious. The atmospher was pleasant and we will make a point to stop again for another great seafood meal.

This restaurant needs a double rating: one for the food which would be a 5 and one for the menu which would be a 2. My husband and I have eaten here for a few years. After the second or third time, I did not need a menu because it NEVER changes. Not one item has ever changed. Not even the daily specials, the soups or the desserts. While the food is excellent, the chef's (or management's) lack of imagination is a drawback.

Like always we were seated in our booth soon as we walked in the door, and greeted by our great server Edward S. he is one of our best, we even got to chat with Mrs. Harvey for a while, our drinks and "FREE STEAMED CLAMS" were the very first to hit our table, (we had a coupon) as always, then the soup was on my seafood bisque and my wife's clam chowder, I had a super great broiled seafood combination platter and wife had the delicious crab cakes, you cannot ask for anything better than this. then as usual Edward had to pack up our leftovers to take home. Drove to Philly for an overnight stay and chose a restaurant that all my brothers knew and could get parking, I wanted seafood and some wanted steak. Gallos was perfect. We had .bottle of wine ..good salmon..filet mignon..calamari app..and lotta room to sit and chat. Everyone was happy!

I had salmon with roasted potatoes and broccoli!!! My friends each had the devil crab sandwich with fries!! Food was awesome and the waitresses were fabulous!! Great family place!!

Party of about 45 people for a celebration. Service was perfect, waitresses anticipated needs but didn't hover over you. Salad was fresh and lightly dressed so it would not get soggy. Chose the crab cake with roasted potatoes, green beans and a side of fried eggplant. The crab cake was full of crab meat and nicely seasoned. The eggplant was just as good as I remembered. Dining partner had the chicken parmesan with a side of pasta. The serving was large and perfectly cooked. Haven't been to Gallo's in a while but was very glad to be able to make a return visit!

I am a plain kinda gal when it comes to food. I went to Gallos on the Blvd. over the weekend and let me tell you how my shrimp scampi was so good that I had scampi sauce dripping down my face. Did I tell you that the shrimps were very large that I had to cut them. I really didn't have to but I did to stretch them because they were so good. The atmosphere was good and so was the service. I had an apple martini with a piece of dried apple floating in it, very creative. This was a good place to eat. Kids can get "chicken fingers" and "seafood" for a low price. The price was oooookkkk. People with gluten issues should call first before you go. But I bet you they can benefit you as well.

There were 4 of us having dinner last Thursday. The service was efficient, though not necessarily welcoming. I will start with a positive….my daughter ordered the mussels in garlic wine sauce over pasta. She said it was very good! Now, for the not so positive . The “special” was tilapia ‘stuffed’ with crab. It was neither! There was a tilapia filet with a flat morsel on top which at first resembled bread crumbs. Then I realized that was supposed to be “the crab” . This topping had almost no flavor, so I suppose getting just a morsel was an ok thing. The side dishes ( roasted red potatoes and stewed tomatoes) while tasty, were laughably small. There were 3 baby red potatoes, halved and an amazingly small dish of tomatoes. Gallos has always been our go to restaurant when visiting my aunt ( and I’ve typically given rave reviews). Not so much lately. Even the “rewards” program, with its very limited usage, isn’t enough incentive to pay for mediocre and overpriced food. I think we need to find a different “go-to”

We had never been to Gallo's before but it had been recommended by relatives. We were so pleasantly surprised. The food was incredible as well as the service. I had the Chicken Masala which melted in my mouth and the sauce was absolutely delicious. There were 8 of us all together and there was not one complaint - just a bunch of oo's and ahhs. My daughter is a salmon connoisseur and said her baked salmon was the best she had ever had. All the desserts were homemade and excellent as well.

The atmosphere and service are friendly and excellent weather it is a family, group or two people. All of the items on the menu are great,the crab cakes are all crab meat not loaded with any fillers. You can even get a hamburger , chicken , or even fish tacos. Any time I have been there it was excellent.

From my perspective the only improvement I’d like to see would be to have more variety in the appetizers . However, when I come to visit my aunt, Gallo’s is our go- to place !
