I stopped by to try this restaurant on a Friday during a Lent based on the recommendation of Tanji Patton's "Good Taste." It was hard to decide what to order. I tried a cup of New England clam chowder served with oyster crackers $7 and the Connecticut warm buttered lobster roll (2 oz. lobster) with side salad $14. A nice touch is the croutons on the salad are made from the rolls. There was a bit too much salad dressing for my taste, so next time I'll order the dressing on the side.

It seems that the last few rolls I have eaten have had more claw meat than tail meat. I would like more even mixture. The roll is wonderful,so flaky and tender. Their food truck comes to my neighborhood every second Friday of the month. So convenient.

We have lived in Austin for a long time and have seen many places come and go in the process. Always on the look out for something worth trying out and Garbo's hit the mark! Was driving home by a place called Its Italian back when Lucretia and Jonathon ran it and saw the parking lot full at 6:30 pm on a Friday and took note. Garbos Griil aka Garbos Lobster Rolls etc. We went early and was happy to see an almost full restaurant at 6:15 and was told by Heidi that we could be seated shortly. Had a pint and a glass for HH and a few minutes later we sat down. Maddie (or Maggie) took really good care of us and all of her suggestions were spot on. Lobster Rolls are the headline but the other seafood is what you want to give a try. We had the fish dip, HH Oysters, tuna, two sides of house special vegetables - beets in creme francias, fried Brussels sprouts with onions and peppers, which was plenty of food before the signature Lobster Roll Maine style was delivered which we split. Everything was a pleasant surprise and a very interesting mix down to the cauliflower and carrot marinated garnish. Service was prompt, the food was tasty and all and all a good experience. Try the Lobster Rolls if you haven't been before but try the other interesting things on the menu and you will be pleased.

Met up with the Garbo's Food Truck at Lewis Wines at a wine pick up party. Had a Lobster Roll and a Shrimp Bahn Mi. While these are not large sandwiches, they are reasonably priced for the quality of the ingredients and quite good. They come with chips. And they went very nicely with Lewis Viognier and Hill Country Rose.

Aesthetics as you walk up is familiar with restaurants on a beach. Even having an outdoor seating area for those summer night vibes. Staff were friendly, attentive, and also take reservations if you choose. The menu has plenty of variety, all dishes with that East Coast feel. Meals were prepared just as described, nothing was over or under cooked. Their special garlic aioli is one to try! You’ll want to visit again!

The food was very good. Two of us had lobster rolls, the other one had a tuna sandwich, and we all shared calamari for the appetizer. Everything was delicious and the portions were a nice size. While the menu was limited, I had trouble choosing a dish since so many of them were so appealing. The waitress was very pleasant.

Garbo's has been so hit & miss for me over the years. At one point we were going 2-3 times a month and then I am not quite sure what happened but the food just wasn't what we were used to. So we stopped going. I decided to give them another try and went there for lunch with friends this week. The food was delicious. I ordered the 3 roll sampler (crab/shrimp/lobSTAH) and each roll was incredible. Fresh and tasty- just loved them. That toasted bread/roll? Oh my so good. But the service...yea that's a no. As in...none. Sigh. The food was good though and I just love the decor.

First time at the restaurant and was greeted by such an awesome guy named elvis who is a waiter there. He explained everything on the menu and was excited about every item on it ( it didn't help that 🎶 you ain't nothing but a hound dog came on the radio🎶). I had the clam chowder which was good but it was my first time eating it. I ordered maim lobster roll which was excellent. I would spend money here just for the customer service. Thanks Elvis

I ordered to go. Service was friendly and helpful. I decided on the lobster grilled cheese w/ Tomato soup. This soup was the best tomato soup I've ever encountered! The grilled cheese was good but this soup is something to write home about! Simply blissful for your taste buds!

Having seen several local reviews, and after visiting the website, I made a point of trying Garbo's, with an appetite towards a Lobster roll. Located in an obscure strip mall in the northern suburbs of Austin, the restaurant , with the exception of the nautical prints, resembles a taqueria. Small dining area in the front, with a view of the kitchen, Looking at the lunch menu, the selection of appetizers was large, but very expensive. We ordered what passed for Ceviche, as well as the mussels. What they call ceviche was primarily watermelon, tomato, red onion with several very small pieces of pickled shell fish on top. It seemed that they had used vinegar instead of lime juice. It was not recognizable as ceviche. It cost $16.00. The mussels were very good, with a butter/wine broth. They offer raw oysters, but charge $3.50 an oyster. We then decided to split the $24.00 lobster roll. It was good, but very over-priced IMHO. I was disappointed with the size of the portions as well as the prices. While good Lobster is a delicacy, being exploited for it is not conducive to returning customers.

They have the best customer service! We have not seen this kind of friendly people serving in the restaurants for a while who actually cared to ensure the food came out good. Which leads me to say they do have a great seafood menu to choose from and the dishes are excellent. It was tough to choose but I ended up with grilled sandwich which had lobster, bacon and gouda cheese. Very yummy! Also to be noted, it is not a food truck but a sit down restaurant.

All of us picked Garbo’s food truck and got seafood rolls. The lobster rolls were excellent and shrimp were very good. The trailer is not my favorite but worth another try.

First, Garbos is now at 12709 N. Mopac Expressway - and has been for awhile now. Excellent, very fresh seafood; but you’re looking at $18 for fish & chips and $22 for a lobster roll with fries. 6 oysters (fresh and all New England varieties) is $20. I’d also recommend you bring a jacket if you intend to eat inside because it is frigid in there - low to mid 60s I’d guess. The patio is big and nice when it isn’t summer. This has a more casual feel despite the non-casual prices but great food.

Went for lunch with friends. Had the cod dumplings, lobster roll, crab and egg sandwich, fish and chips and olive oil cake. Loved it all except fish and chips. Too much breeding for me on fish. Not a big olive oil cake fan. Wish they had chocolate or some strawberry or lemon or other fruit dessert. Great fries! Good place for adults, business or pleasure, but not for little kids if they get bored in restaurants like mine. I'll go back.

This place is cute & they have out door seating. I will go back to try other things, but we were not impressed with the Maine lobster roll or the prices (the bun was different too). The lobster roll is very small and is missing something. It just didn't taste right or like any lobster roll I have eaten in Maine or even in Texas. My friend ordered the fish and chips & was disappointed in the taste. Also, don't bother ordering wine. The pours are very skimpy for the price.

Awesome lobster roll, great salad and good French fries. Loved the garlic aioli dipping sauce. Definitely will return.

Service was good. The spicy shrimp fries were alright, the shrimp was good but there were only 5 pieces on the fries. The lobster rolls were disappointing, we had the Maine lobster rolls and they were very bland, not much flavor at all. I got mine without a bun as they do not have many gluten free options other than a salad and got substantially less lobster than the actual rolls (3 others at my table). The side salad was very over dressed. For a $138 meal I will go somewhere else next time.

Garbo's was a great find here in Austin, TX. We had lobster roll which was stuffed with tender lobster meat. Also had some clam chowder. It was thick and creamy with plenty of clams. The jalapeño cole slaw was scrumptious - the portion was a bit small, but it was delicious nonetheless. Overall, a great find and we will return.

I cannot say enough good about this place. It's one of my favorite restaurants to eat at in Austin and eat here all the time. I haven't had one bad or disappointing experience here. The staff and owners are top notch quality people. And if you haven't been here for brunch it's a must try! Wednesday's are 1/2 off bottles and and it's my favorite wine down Wednesday place to hit up!! Go to Garbos if you haven't been here. You will not leave hungry.

I was visiting my daughter in Austin and we checked out Garbo's with some friends. We all had a great time, food was great, service was great and the place was great.

We love it here, love being able to walk from our house. They have been fantastic during the pandemic, fast and always delicious. The menu is not extensive but it never disappoints.

We first heard about Garbo's over a year ago and have been going regularly for the great food, attentive service and casual but fresh atmosphere. I love the clam chowder, crab cakes, smoked fish dip and the salads for starters. We've had seared scallops, Connecticut and Maine lobster rolls, fish and chips, and never been disappointed with the entrees. Heidi Garbo gets fresh seafood; she was brought up in the family lobster business in New England. The desserts are tasty and creative when we have room for them!

So disappointing lobster roll. Barely any lobster meat and it was cold with a ton of mayonnaise. Terrible and expensive experience

Garbo's was in the Austin Chronicle this week, so I decided to try it. I've never been to New England, so I thought, why not. The Lobster Roll was done Connecticut style -- a little rich for me, but nevertheless fresh tasting. Next time, I'll try the Maine style. Connecticut style is lobster dipped in butter. That, with fries, was a little too rich for me since the fries were greasy. I think a salad would of been a better pair for the Lobster roll.

This review is for the Garbos Lobster Truck portion of the Garbos business. We tried the Maine and Connecticut rolls this weekend and found them to be pretty small for the $15 per roll that we paid. The Connecticut roll was a cold seafood salad type roll and not as good as the Maine roll, which was warm, buttery and delicious. However, even the Maine roll, which we loved was overpriced in my opinion. You also get no side or drink for the $15 price. At $10, we would have felt it was a good value, bot not at the $15 we paid. We may still return on rare occasion for the Maine, when we have a lobster craving.

I had the crab roll; my fiancé had the lobster roll. Both were okay, but nothing to brag about. Fairly pricey for the amount of food we received. No sweet tea...come on, this is TEXAS!!

Full disclosure I did not set out with the intent of Dining at Garbo's, but rather one of the discount eateries in the same shopping center. Because of my non traditional work schedule my options were limited an I decided to give Garbo's a try. After browsing the menu I didn't really see anything I thought would fill me up, and since I am a big guy I wanted to get the most for my money. After chatting with my server she suggested I give the daily special Crab Cake Sandwich a try. Let me tell you I was glad I did. The Sandwich: The base of the sandwich is a Maryland style crab cake, healthy helping of coleslaw, lettuce, lemon aioli, and a toasted brioche bun. Let's start with the bun and work back to the crab cake. The bun was light and fluffy, buttery and perfectly toasted and while I feel it's unlikely could have been made in house. The aioli added the citrus flavor that enhances the taste of any fresh seafood. Lettuce was there simply to contribute to the sandwich factor, but the coleslaw was unique. Garbo's slaw is not swimming in mayo as it commonly is elsewhere, and really complimented the other flavors of the dish. The crab cake might be the best I have EVER HAD, and coming from someone who almost spends a month at the Gulf Coast every year that is high praise. Crab Cake was just that, 80-90% Crab meat to 20-10% breading. It was made from fresh Blue Crab meat that tasted like it was flown in the night before, because it probably was.

Very overpriced! The roll was good until I found 2 lobster shells in it! The music was so loud people had to scream to be heard. The service was just ok

Garbos has the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in the US. The fish is so delicious ! I can’t talk about it enough. Also, they do an amazing brunch w pineapple French toast w rum syrup and coconut. They also do a lobster eggs Benedict that is delicious

My father moved from Massachusetts to Texas 10 years ago and has been wanting a New England style lobster roll for some time. So for his 91st birthday, we visited Garbo's in Austin and feasted on a terrific lobster roll. Garbo's owner Heidi spent time talking with us and explained that they get lobster shipped via air from waters off Maine & Connecticut on a daily basis. The roll was grilled on both sides just like the restaurants serve in New England. The lobster salad had just a touch of mayonnaise and a squeeze of lemon and was a taste of home. Combined with the dulcet tones of Frank Sinatra on the sound system and pictures and maps of Cape Cod on the walls, it was trip back in time and back to New England. The food was great and for dessert we were treated to maple flavored creemees served from a truck outside manned by Heidi's dad. He was a lobsterman back in the day and was the first to harvest lobsters from the outer banks. It was a wonderful time and I can't wait to go back.

The resturant has become very popular and often has a wait at dinner time. One weekend night My daughter and son-in-law sat outside at a picnic table and another couple was seated with them - turned out to be enjoyable for them but could be awkward depending on situation. We didn't have a wait on a Friday night but a cold front meant a light crowd. We went with another couple, we were able to talk and catch up and never felt rushed. Shared clam chowder, and appitizer "set up", both were wonderful. Every one but me had the lobster roll as that is what the food truck that started the resturant was famous for. On the advice of the waitress I tried the brined scallop roll- possibly the best scallops I have ever had - moist and tender. A bit salty alone but on the bread with the cherry reduction it was delightful! Other reviews commented on the price - but it is LOBSTER, not cheap anywhere and some commented on the size being small but the food is so rich that we all were overfull with what we were served. Servers and the manager were all attentive, friendly and made the whole experience superb. We will be back!

I've been to Maine in the summers for vacation the last few years so I was excited to take my travel partner to Garbo's for lobster. It was horrible and rubbery. The manager told me a month ago that we could see the live lobsters. Today the hostess said I could too when I called. Then when I got there the waitress said no and got very weird. We were excited when the lobsters arrived but when we cracked open the rock-hard shell, the meat was rubbery and the cross section of what is supposed to be a good claw looked very off. see pic of the box of lobster and fries I took home to my hens. My friend thinks these have been previously frozen or not handled correctly. It is a Sunday and we found out there shipments are on Thursdays and Mondays. We got charged $40 for a lobster I fed to my chickens. The waitress and manager were not helpful about it either. I never leave less than 20% tip but had to leave just 10% after the aweful lobster and service. So sad, Garbo's!

Austin is a very long long way from the sea, so it was a complete joy to find a place that was serving the most excellent Lobster rolls. In addition we ordered some Calamari to share that was absolutely divine. Garbo's is truly a hidden gem in Austin. Located in a tiny strip mall far from the main hives of activity in the city, it is a place that you have to hunt out but is really worth doing so. My only regret is that I cannot give them a sixth star. It is that good.

Another New England transplant in Texas, and another raving review . . . We came here for the lobster rolls, but we'll come back for them and so much more. Beautiful, simple atmosphere. Everything we tasted was excellent, from the kids' grilled cheese to fish-n-chips to dessert. The lobster rolls brought us right back to New England-Hands down, awesome. Everyone in our family thoroughly enjoyed Garbo's.

Had a Maine Lobster Roll on the food truck at the Farmers Market. The lobster and bun tasted good but it was severely lacking lobster! The roll had a slit in it and the lobster was placed on top. I have had many lobster rolls and I was totally ripped off on this one.

This is NOT cheap or fast food, this is a treat. Sweet, fresh lobster, buttery rolls and crispy fries. Just like going to a lobster shack in Maine! Their crab cakes are delicious as well. They are served with a tasty arugula salad which balances out the richness of the seafood. Highly recommended, I will be back - after I save up some binge money!!

My cousin and I had the Clam Chowder. It was good. I had the Maine style Lobster Roll and she had the Lobster Grilled Cheese. We also had an order of Brussel Sprouts. We ended up trying the tomato soup too. (It was complimentary when the replaced the sandwich that was not supposed to have bacon on it.) It was a good meal, but not one I would rush back to have again. I have had better lobster rolls. It was very small. Everything tasted good, but not amazing. I also thought $9.00 for a cup of soup was a bit much. Our meal was over $50 for the two of us and we did not have any alcohol.

Was in the area and dropped in for lunch and had a lobster roll with a house salad instead of fries. The salad was very good though many would probably want more dressing. The lobster roll Maine style was good but not up to what I feel I have had in Maine. Still, outstanding for Austin, and good by Maine standards.

Quite possibly the best lobster rolls on the planet! Seriously, this is a must-do in Austin, and that is saying something. Check out the Connecticut Roll and the Fish Dip. You won't be disappointed. We first tried these guys from the window of their truck, but now they have a nice, quaint spot so we don't have to go searching for them anymore :)

My wife and I have been going to Garbo's for about a year now. When we first started going, it was wonderful. More recently, it has fallen off. Today, my wife and I ordered 2 of the specials, I ordered the shrimp and biscuits, my wife ordered the scallops. It took 57 minutes for us to get our food. The people at the table next to us arrived 15 minutes after we did, they ordered after we did and they finished their meal before we received ours. When we received our food, (which only occurred after we asked for the bill for our drinks so we could leave) it was cold. I assume our food had been sitting in the kitchen for quite some time. The owner came to our table to offer a half-hearted apology, but could offer no explanation as to the delay. I have no idea what we must have done to deserve this sort of treatment. I think we were: repeat customers, customers who recommended this establishment and good tippers. I'm not going back. Ever.

My husband and I finally tried this restaurant and I was so happy with their tasty food. I had the lobster roll (connecticut style) and my husband had the special of three mini rolls (lobster, crab, and shrimp). I really enjoyed my lobster roll. Luckily it was also on special because I don't think I would have ordered it at full price. My husband thought everything was okay but overpriced.

I have had lobster rolls from Garbo's several times, all from their food truck that visits office parks on weekdays in Austin. I've always found the lobster to be well-cooked and tasty (both in the Maine and Connecticut rolls), but I've always been disappointed with the high prices for such a small portion of lobster. The servers have always been friendly, and the food is generally delivered pretty quickly. Also, I do like their jalapeno slaw as a side. I grew up in New England, and over the years I have consumed countless lobster rolls. Garbo's rolls have decent flavor, but are way over-priced for the lobster quantities they offer.

So everybody in Austin has heard of Garbos and their Lobster Rolls. I had to check it out and now I understand what all the fuss was about. This is real lobster, incredibly fresh, and they don't skimp on portion either. The service was excellent southern hospitality. And the pricing was comparable to the market price of lobster. They have a full menu but it's gonna take me some time to venture from this delicious roll!

The food was good, the portions too small, the price too much for what you got, and the wait service was more appropriate for rapid lunch service.

We visited Garbo's for a lobster roll lunch recently and it was a taste of home. The lobster meat is flown in from New England and the lobster rolls are made fresh. At their restaurant, you get a choice of french fries or salad with the sandwich. I like the salad with their vinaigrette dressing. Their clam chowder is also a great starter for the meal. Lobster rolls are always on the menu at Garbos. From time to time, they will bring in fresh longneck clams and the steamahs are great. They also have periodic specials of fried clams, which also taste just like they did in New England. They will also bring in fresh lobsters on special but I have not tried those. I love visiting there and having this hard-to-get food from time to time.

This was our first visit and probably our last. I ordered the lobster roll which tasted fine but it was the size of 1/2 a sandwich and had very little lobster on it. And it was $22!!! There was not &22 worth of roll or lobster on it. I paid extra for the Brussel sprouts and they were delicious. But I basically paid for the side that was supposed to be included. My husband got fish snd chips and the fish was as large as my lobster roll was tiny. The service was excellent but the prices were awful. Too many other places that offer a full size serving for way less money

I tried to get food at an event at a Garbo’s food truck tonight. It was insanely unbelievably slow. I spent the entire 45 minutes of the event waiting in line only to pay $25 for the smallest, blandest lobster roll I’ve ever had in my life.

Best lobster bisque that I have had - anywhere. But would appreciate some type of hot sauce on the table to step it up to a Texas taste. Liked the choice of Maine (cold, with celery & mayo) and CT (warm, with butter). Good service and excellent key lime pie. Not open on Mondays.

Ordered from here and everything was so young. The lobster roll, the fried lobster roll and my daughter got a cheeseburger. Will definitely be back. So yummy!!

I've been eating here regularly for the last couple of years, even before they moved to their new, larger location, once I discovered it. Julie is an exceptionally nice and excellent waitress. She always explains the specials. I get the Connecticut lobster roll with a side salad. The dressing for the salad is exceptional. The lobster roll is excellent. It's not that easy to mess up lobster, but it can be done. This is a modest, but perfect size portion. You don't need a ton of lobster, it's very rich and filling. The lobster meat, butter and roll were all prepared perfectly. We recently were really happy to share a portion of their fabulous Brussels Sprouts which tasted just amazing. I'm from the Northeast and love this type of food (who doesn't like lobster? Only someone who hasn't tasted it). Add in reasonable prices, excellent service and this is a place I will be going back to. Again and again.

Where to begin. So, let's start with the money. You can spend some here. Example, lunch for two, three appetizers, one entree, sixty bucks. But is it ever worth it. First, the service is over the top. Extremely courteous and friendly, above and beyond the usual. Made suggestions for my wife and I with regards to preparation, value for the money. Really great touch. The lobster bisque is delicious. The oysters are just fantastic. Crab cakes = incredible. Lobster and green salad...just awesome. Great food, all around. Nothing to even try to complain about. Good wine list, too. All around, this place will take care of you, it can be a special occasion/date night or brunch or lunch on a lazy Saturday that's more than just going to get something somewhere.

Had an excellent dinner - with Garbo's special that night - Lobster taco's. Outstanding. And who can complain about their Connecticut Lobster roll. Had Lobster bisque first to get started. Very good service. First time at the restaurant - not sure what took us so long, but glad we did.

OMG!!! This place is amazing. My first lobster roll was in Las Vegas and when I returned to Austin and I had to find one. Garbo’s didn’t disappoint. The rolls were hot, buttery, lots of lobster/crab/shrimp, and filling. Oh the crab cakes were so yummy too.

Now i have a new top 5 addition. Please don't go here. Love it love it love it. Heidi is the owner and she's in the kitchen, yep that's what it takes. Best burger in Williamson County believe it. So impressed, we ate everything. Lobster rolls rock, clams were awesome, yep is all just that good. Now stay away!

Garbo's has a food truck... they come to our workplace, and today I decided to chance it with them. I normally bring my lunch, but I didn't have time today. I had the Lobster Roll and Clam Chowder combo. The lobster was perfect, the roll amazing, and the chowder was as good as I have ever had eating out. The clams were tender and in abundance. Service was super fast and friendly. This will be a repeat for me in the future.

Garbos has been famous for their lobster rolls for many years and they went from just running to food trucks to now a nice sit down restaurant at north Austin. The decor is simple and modern and the waiter service was excellent throughout our meal. The oyster on the half shell were very fresh and sweet; however, 20 dollars for half a dozen is quite high for the amount you are getting so we do not recommend this item. Next up is their lobster rolls as we tried both the butter and mayo versions. The fresh lobster is stuff inside a light and fluffy garlic roll. The lobster is so fresh and each bite simply melts in your mouth with fantastic flavors. The fries are crispy with a nice texture and both the dinner salads were also very green and very fresh.

My dad and I visited Garbo’s just before Christmas for a lobster roll lunch. Their lobster rolls are the best around and he’s faithfully to the New England style. We got ours with a side salad rather than fries and it was a great meal. Hungry people might want a second lobster roll or a cup of clam chowder but this was enough for me and my dad! The service was great and the food was perfect!

A great restaurant with great food. The price and the amount of food are something to debate about though. But overall, a great experience. If you're looking for East Coast food in the Austin area, then definitely try Garbo's!

We stopped by Garbo's for a late lunch. It is located in Well's Branch in far north Austin near Pflugerville. It was a treat when compared with the many chain restaurants in that area of Austin. The lobster roll was great- much like rolls I've had on the east coast and in Canada. It is a bit pricey but worth it -stuffed with lobster meat and on a crispy roll. The French fries that come with are delicious too! My husband had seafood squid ink pasta that he said was excellent. With a sparkling rosé to accompany the meal and key lime pie for dessert, we left feeling very happy to have found this small restaurant. We will be back!

I have eaten at Garbo's numerous times and the food was always excellent. Thus, I took my daughter and her husband there for a special birthday brunch. Our food was unseasoned. My son-in-law's fried shrimp were cooked to nearly-burned. My daughter and I ordered lobster benedict which consisted of a few chunks of rubbery, tasteless lobster, "poached" eggs which were nearly hardboiled, and dried out, stringy asparagus. Disappointing, abysmal, unacceptable are not even adequate descriptions of our meals.

Newly opened store associated with Garbo's food truck. Dined on 2014-07-26. Arrived at 1730; got to table about 1820. The restaurant is small, probably seating 30-40 diners. Setting is informal, with some families. Enjoyed "The Setup" appetizer. Main course was Connecticut lobster roll with restaurant-made chips and seasonal pickled vegetables. Wife had Fish and Chips. Shared Key Lime Napoleon and Blueberry Cobbler for dessert. Had water for drink. Cost was $56 plus tip. Fish dip and fritters in appetizer were excellent. CT lobster roll was tasty. Fish was lightly battered, but fish was a little mushy. Made in restaurant thin chips were good. Wait staff was professional, friendly, and attentive. Presentation was informal and inventive. Menu included three evening specials, two of which had sold out by 1830. Highlight was the Key Lime Napoleon - don't miss it. Plenty of parking in front. The liquor license was not yet in place, but they plan to serve beer and wine. We will return.

I ate at the trailer on Congress / 3rd that had a limited menu but it was fantastic. I had the Surf n Turf burger. It was a steak burger with warm lobster and cheese. Every piece of that burger was delicious. Highly recommend. Other menu items are fish tacos and lobster rolls.

Sometimes you just crave lobster in butter. This is an affordable, great place for for that seafood fix. Reasonable prices, delicious lobster, what more could you want.

My wife loved the decor. Made her think of new england. I had clam chowder, Maine oysters, and clam roll. Wife had PLT sandwich - fried fish, pancetta, lettuce and tomato. First time I had chowder that needed salt. Asked the waiter for salt and pepper. He asked what salt was for???? just me or kinda rude? He said "I won't tell the chef". I thought maybe he should? Oysters were so delicious. Clam roll was super good too. Fish sandwich batter was a little gooey and also needed salt. I know good New England food in Texas costs money, but they need less expensive lunch choices. I want this place to stay, as I love the food truck!

We have dined here numerous times. We enjoy the Fish and Chips and Lobster Rolls. The Oysters on the half shell and paired wine selection are very good too. Reservations are a wise idea, as Happy Hours are very busy.

Superb food, great service, and easy parking tucked away in a small suburban shopping center. My wife says the fried clams are the best she's had since our last trip to Maine. Everything was really fresh and really delicious.

We had been given a suggestion to Garbos. So we decided to give it a try for my birthday dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem!

Having enjoyed really good, Maine style (with mayo, seasonings, etc.), lobster rolls, from Legal Sea Foods in Boston to Alisson's Restaurant in Kennebunkport, we had resigned ourselves to making our own, when at home in Austin. So, we were skeptical when our friends told us about Gabor's in the Wells Branch area of North Austin. What a great surprise. The restaurant was clean and airy, with enough New England artifacts and signage around to feel like a little slice of Maine. The sisters who own and run it, Heidi and Garbo, I think, were clearly comfortable doing whatever it took to make us feel welcome. Since we went for lunch, we ordered at the counter and found comfortable seating at one corner of one of the unoccupied, large family/communal tables. In a minute, the owner/chef, Heidi, came to our table and explained the she was out of the Sauvignon Blanc that I had ordered. She brought a glass of a dry Reisling for me to try, but I thanked her and said I'd just have water. We visited with her a little about Garbo's background, participating at Austin events like SXSW and ACL, and Garbo's special events, like their evening "lobster bakes", i.e., a clam bake, but with lobster and without the sand. In another couple of minutes, Heidi brought out an unchilled, unopened bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc I had ordered. She said that the bottle had been discovered where it shouldn't have been, but wasn't ready to be served. So, rather than issuing a credit for the glass of wine I'd ordered, she'd like for us to take the bottle with us when we left, a very gracious gesture. Our food arrived shortly and was delicious. The generous bowl of clam chowder, which we split, was steamy, the right consistency (not too thick and not watery), and flavorful, with a complementary tanginess which was a little different and very tasty. Our fresh buns/rolls were generously stuffed with a seasoned lobster mayo mixture that was full of big chunks of fresh lobster that had been cooked just right; not mushy and not rubbery. The menu said the rolls would be grilled, but ours weren't; maybe next time. The only item which kept our food from being rated a 5 was the "hand cut chips" which accompanied the sandwiches. The chips were tasty, but not as fresh and crispy as they should have been. While we had ordered a slice of pecan pie for dessert, we were too full to eat it at the restaurant. They boxed the generous portion they had given us, which we warmed and enjoyed later at home. Delicious and chock full of pecans is the best way to describe it. All in all our Garbo's experience was excellent and worth going back to sample their evening fare. In spite of it's location, on the Northern edge of Austin, Garbo's is easy to get to, well worth the trip, and a welcome addition to the Austin restaurant scene. P.S. While $16 may seem like a lot for a lobster roll, the sandwiches we ate were comparable to $20-$25 lobster rolls in restaurants located within a few miles of where the lobsters were caught in the Northeast. These are a good deal here or in Maine.

WOW and I mean WOW! If you want something other than the usual local restaurant, but something superb and extremely delicious, then try Garbo's Lobster rolls, Lobster Bisque, and other lobster, crab, fish and clam recipes. Flown in fresh daily. Prepared with loving hands (I can just tell by the quality), and served with a smile. A bit pricey. But the portions are not huge so brings the cost back down. And OMG get the Brussel sprouts!!! Better than mine.

Smooth, rich, clam-filled New England Clam Chowder followed by, what else, a Lobster Roll for me and Fish and Chips for my wife. First off, the fries with both were outstanding. Crisp and perfectly salted at just the right time for it to stick. The lobster was plentiful with a rich mayonnaise on a buttered NE style hot dog bun. The huge piece of fish was crisply coated surrounding a nice piece of white fish that held up to the coating. A real keeper!

What a fun place! It has a casual vibe, but the attention to detail, the wonderful food, and excellent service makes this place a stand out among many fabulous ATX restaurants. We sat at the very nicely appointed bar and had the freshest fried clams and the Maine Platter. Both were delicious. This place is unique in style of food for ATX and a great addition to the food scene and under served area of North Austin. Cant wait for better weather to sit on the inviting deck!

Garbo's is located in a strip center in north Austin. The food is made well from the "set up" with smoked fish dip, homemade pickles, fritters, and crackers to the LOBSTER rolls . . . both Connecticut and Maryland style. These plates are served with hand-cut chips and more of those homemade pickles! There's a limited wine list and also soft drinks, and iced tea. The interior is done in a "fishy" style and looks really nice. My only disappointment was the host . . . who was congenial, but not quite sure how/when to seat people and I even overheard the waitress tell him to go bus a table since he "double-seated" the other server. Also, it was sketchy on whether they take reservations or not and if you need 6 in a party to do so, or not. Our server was very nice, but scattered. We waited for a table to begin and then waited to be greeted at our table. Our drinks came out sporadically and then the same happened with the dessert. This isn't a "big" place, so I would expect the servers to be able to bring all the drinks and ALL the desserts at the same time. However, the food was well-prepared. Keep in mind this is LOBSTER . . . so bring some GREEN!

I had the chowder (yummy), baked haddock (excellent), and a side of broccoli rabe (very good). My wife had the tagliatelli with clams, which she loved, and a side of crispy brussels sprouts (very tasty). The service was excellent. The food was all good. My only negative was that the food was just warm. While I don't want it to burn my tongue, I also don't want it just warm. That said, I'm going back to try the lobster roll.

I enjoyed both types of lobster rolls Garbos serves, the Connecticut, which is just the tender lobster with warm drawn butter on a delicious toasted bun, and the Maine, which has a nice little creamy sauced salad on the lobster in the bun. We have also tried both Garbo’s food truck and the restaurant in Wells Branch, The servers are friendly and super accommodating, even packing up the ingredients for me once when I couldn’t eat the lobster roll until later. I love fresh seafood, so I am delighted to find this place!

This place was great! From the service to the food and wine, it was 100%amazing! We had a great dinner. The lobster rolls are authentic and delicious. It feels like you are off the coast rather than in an Austin restaurant. Kid friendly! I would definitely make a reservation since it is a small spot.

It has been years since the original Gumbo's was in this location and many have tried and failed. I am so happy to report that we had an amazing lunch today. Maine lobster roll was heavenly, minimal mayo as it is supposed to be and fantastic bread. They even make their own salt and pepper potato chips. We also ordered the chopped salad with lobster and it was also heavenly. Dressing was perfectly light and flavorful, the lobster quality was beautiful on all meals. I had the bacon served on the side of the Cobb Salad so I could add as much / little as I wanted. And by the way, the décor is perfect, It was such a great reprieve for lunch during a hectic work day. It was priced accordilngly, $46 for lobster roll and salad with lobster, pricey but worth it.

I went with my sister this week for lunch and LOVED it! I don't even like seafood, but my sister does and Thursdays are half-price burgers. I was skeptical that a place known for its seafood would be able to pull off a decent burger, but luckily my skepticism was misplaced. My burger was perfect on a delicious bun with cheese and bacon. I loved the aioli sauce and it was great on my fries, too! My sister had the spicy crab thingy (I didn't pay attention to the seafood part of the menu, which is almost the whole thing) and loved it! We both left with clean plates and full bellies. I got the key lime pie to go and it is so creamy, tangy, & sweet that I'll go back just for that! Our server was wonderful. Even though the place was hopping for a Thursday lunch time, he was attentive and the staff kept our water glasses full. Several people stopped by to ask how we were enjoying our meal, too. Aside from all of that, I loved the decor inside. Clean, fresh, and classy! Perfect for a date, a celebration, or just lunch with a friend. :D

Local restaurant great find. Wonderful lobster roll. Had the Connecticut lobster roll in a butter pocket of sweet bread. Chose a salad as the side. Champagne vinaigrette was perfect compliment on the salad. Try the oysters on the half shell. They will describe the selection on hand. Tuesday is $1.50 oyster day!

This is my favorite restaurant! They have the best 🦪 oysters in Austin! This visit we had the frozen lemonade, lobster bisque soup, lobster roll and their fish and chips. All very tasty! Friendly staff, fast service and a very clean environment. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

The Saturday Fish ‘n Chips special is outstanding. I went to the new location on North Mopac where Opal Divine’s was previously. The have outdoor seating with heaters which is nice during covid times. The fish was battered and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the whole experience.

The details...it's all in the details. Cute decor, even the serving dishes are well thought-out. We tried the lobster bisque, clam chowder, shrimp, crab, and lobster rolls and fries. The rolls stood out most vecause here they let the seafood inside carry the flavor. 4 stars becayse this was listedvas a single $ place and it's much pricier...tax, tip, and meal for 2 about $60--with no drinks. Ambience, food, and service were excellent...

This is the rating for their food truck @ the Bee Cave Farmers Market. We had both the Maine and Connecticut style rolls with the jalapeno slaw. A simple word - just superb! We have had some of the best in Maine & Mass & this one is up there with all of them. The lobster meat is gorgeously sweet and the butted brioche buns were grilled just right. Price point is fair too - two for about $ 35 which is a lot less than what you can get in Maine. Roll is on the smaller size but that is what it is... Probably about 4 bites

Visited this hideaway treasure trove yesterday and after recent trips to Boston and New Jersey, I was yearning for some fresh lobster in Austin, TX. Neither fret nor fear for my needs were beyond met at Garbo's. Chowder set up the palette perfectly to be followed by the succulent lobster roll.

I had heard many good things about this restaurant and was excited to try it out. Had lunch there and was totally surprised by the prices. I know that lobster and crab are not cheap, but $25 for a lobster roll and fries makes for a really expensive lunch. The flavors were good but the price made it hard to swallow. None of the other options sounded like something I wanted to have. The interior is decorated very tastefully, the staff was courteous and service was good. I don't know that I will return.

Went in for lunch by myself the other day. I wasn't terribly hungry so I passed on the fried clams (one of my favorite foods in the world) which was a pretty large portion it seemed. The exceptionally nice waitress explained all the specials and I got the basic lobster roll with a side salad. The dressing for the salad was really good. The lobster roll was excellent. It's not that easy to mess up lobster, but it can be done (over cook it and it's horrible, same with under cooking). This was a modest, but perfect size portion. You don't need a ton of lobster, it's very rich and filling. The lobster meat, butter and roll were all prepared perfectly. I'm from the Northeast and love this type of food (who doesn't like lobster? Only someone who hasn't tasted it). Add in reasonable prices, excellent service and this is a place I will be going back to. Again and again.

Holy Cow! When did it happen? I found myself immersed in a lobster party at Whitestone Brewery in Cedar Park, TX. It turns out I was lucky enough to take advantage of this happenstance. I mean how often can you find a lobster roll in Austin, TX? I'll answer that for you...NEVER! I have lived her for 32 years and this is the only place I know of and I'm a foodie. I had the traditional Maine Lobster Roll and it was everything I remember from my visits to Boston. The roll was light, buttery, crispy on the outside while soft and moist on the inside. The roll was stuffed with large chunks of lobster in a creamy goody sauce with lettuce to add flavor, color and texture. I enjoyed the roll so much I temporarily lost interest in the lovely live music, Olympic broadcast and Dallas Cowboys football game. ...yeah....it was that good!

I happened upon Garbo's on a Wednesday. I had heard about the lobster roll but never had, had one. It really was on my on my bucket list. I was not disappointed! I had the oysters from Maine while I waited on my lobster roll to go. Amazing and the horseradish is fresh!! The french fries are really good , but skip the potato pie thing. Very happy with the quaint restaurant and the guy behind the counter was so nice and helpful. I didn't like the pinot grigio but you can't win them all. I will definitely go back and take my husband. I think it could be an addiction GO!

It's been ages since I ate at Garbos so went for lunch with my daughter. Its changed a bit since I was last there. They have added a small bar and table service. We ordered the clam chowder and smoked fish for starters. The chowder was creamy and filled with clam bits. The fish was mild and served with tiny tart pickles and toast. A great combination. We shared the sampler which was a cold shrimp roll,a cold crab roll and warm Connecticut lobSTAH roll. All three were served on a slightly sweet butter roll/bun. They were all rather bland-but quite tasty which I am sure is typical. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts. They were deep fried with a tangy/sweet dressing. OH MY WORD very VERY tasty. Service was great. Decor was nice. A very nice lunch!

My wife and I went to Garbo's for an early Valentine date, after hearing a local restaurant critic praise the place. We were not disappointed. I had fish and chips, my wife had fried clams (one of her absolute favorites) and we shared a vegetable side of crisp sauted brussel sprouts. The fish and chips portion was generous, and was quite reminiscent of fish and chips that i have had in England. It was even served on a square of (what i presume to be) parchment paper, Served with malt vinegar, a home-made tartar sauce and ketchup. I normally wouldn't even taste the latter two, but gave the tartar sauce a taste and was nicely surprised with the taste. My wife's clams reminded her of those she has had on Cape Cod, perhaps because they include the bellies. I had a couple to taste, and i agree that the clams were very good. The clams were served with a creamy aioli sauce that was similar to the tartar but different. We had to decline dessert. Service was very good, with the waiter knowledgeable and unrushed in his attention to us, despite the fact that the restaurant was busy and the staffing was one short for the evening. recommended

Decided that I wanted a lobster roll. Garbo's was open so I thought I would try it. It was excellent. I had the Connecticut version and brought it home (about 15 minutes away). It survived well. There was a good amount of meat and it was cooked correctly. Yum. It was not over-buttered or over-seasoned. I just wish it was bigger. (Based upon my New England experience, it was the same size as a "regular" lobster roll in CT. More expensive than CT, but the lobsters had to travel further. It is served with a large amount of fries - which were excellent without ketchup. They are seasoned well, no need for added salt. These filled the void left by the "regular" lobster roll. The only detraction was the pickled veggies. Small amount and a bit bland. Beware, it is not cheap ($25 tab). The restaurant has the right ambiance for the menu items. Staff was excellent. When I save up again, I will return for a lobster roll. Until then, I will be trying their other menu items.

Placed our order online (COVID) and ate on the patio just outside. Excellent. We will make this a mandatory stop when traveling through Austin!

The lobster roll was SO delicious. Our waiter was also very friendly. The side Cesar salad was an absolute amazing addition

Had several different choices of lobster rolls and all delicious. Sides yummy too. My son got the burger and liked it too. Great friendly service. Pricey as lobster tends to be.

I ate here on Christmas Eve for the first time. Place is smaller than I thought it would be and glad I had made a reservation. They were running a special on a tower. Ours came with a lobster tail cut in two, six oysters and six shrimp. It was yummy. I ordered the Connecticut Lobster roll with a salad. My husband ordered the Taste of Maine, which is three different rolls. Crab, lobster and shrimp with the chips. I tasted the shrimp roll and it was good. It had a bit of spice. I loved my Connecticut roll, I also like the dressing on the salad, it was unique and tasty. We then decided to try the clam chowder and the lobster bisque. The clam chowder was fair. I have had better and this tasted more like potatoes soup to me than clam chowder. The lobster bisque was AMAZAING! It is better than Truluck's or Bob's. WAY better. That is saying something. We would come back solely on the lobster bisque but the rolls are good as well. We finished our meal with a mint whoopie pie. Overall a wonderful experience. Probably a bit low key for a Christmas Eve meal but it was just the two of us and this had been on my list to try for a bit. I wish it was closer to our house as we would be there often. We will still make the trek up north every once and again for that bisque or when we are craving a taste of our beloved Maine. Overall a very pleasant experience. Staff was friendly especially considering they were working Christmas Eve. Good price as all the food above and a bottle of wine was around $135.

I love this place. The lobster rolls are amazing and the $10 fish and chips on Saturdays is the best! Seriously the best fish and chips I've ever tasted.

When Garbo’s popped up on Google maps, we had never heard of it, and we were skeptical. Fresh seafood? Right... Absolutely right! And absolutely fresh! The secret is all in who you know, and the owners know the right people. We have eaten seafood all over the US. This place is now at the top of our “Must Have” list for trips to Austin. Great staff, great food. Try the Taste of Maine to keep from having to pick just one thing. The fried calamari is the best we have EVER had. Nobody beats the fresh whole lobster here either. Could NOT have been happier with the meal! I’d give 6 stars if I could.

I had the Maine lobster roll with a side salad today and I will say it was good. The lobster was VERY fresh and the mayo, etc was just right. The bun was toasted and quite tasted but it was a rather small sandwich for $18, but lobster is expensive and the quality was worth the price. The greens in the salad were very fresh and tasty but the house dressing is a tad bit to garlicky for me. That being said, I did enjoy the meal and do recommend this restaurant. Ordering online and curbside pickup is super easy and the service was lightning fast.

This is definitely the go-to place for lobster rolls and fish and chips. The lobster rolls literally melt-in-your-mouth. Don't leave without tasting their key lime pie, it is the best I've ever tasted.

Had the lobster tail roll after being recommended to try it. The person said "it´s pricey but good" and I have to agree. I had some extra money left over and splurged, ´cause lobster is not cheap food. It was tasty and well prepared and fresh. I would give the same recommendation myself, pricey but good.

When we went here last night they were closing but they were so accommodating (I guess it's the southern hospitality) they agreed serve us food We had the crab roll and mainly the recommended lobster roll The later came with high recommendations and should I say I wasn't disappointed :) A mazing The crab roll was ok but I won't be go there for that ;) The roll was almost a toasties , picture might explain it better The salad dressing was spot on

We stopped in for a bit to eat and ordered a lobster roll and a burger. Great food and flavors. The lobster roll was awesome, we enjoyed this very much. The burger was equally as good. Any burger with a fried egg on it is good by me. We will definitely eat here again when in the area. They also have a food truck that I have been to. Usuially parked outside of brewery's on the weekend. If you see the food truck, don't be shy.

Stopped in here with our kids for lobster roll while my wife had a burger. The staff was very helpful with setting up our kids and bringing them our goldfish crackers to start. The Maine lobster roll was excellent. My wife's burger came out way under cooked but the waitress was very helpful and amended the situation. All-in-all good seafood option in Austin.

Haven't been in a couple of years but it was amazing! From the wait staff to the food, it was all so enjoyable. Found out that they are ranked the #1 seafood truck in America! We had a lobster roll and salad and it was just plain delicious!

I went to get lobster bisque The bisque was good but they put 1/2 of a claw in a 3 oz cup whole I had to dice it up. The bisque was seafoodie flavored the lobster pieces had no flavor at all and to make it worse not one cracker The worst was they charged me 29,25 for a bowl of soup y’all. What makes them think they can charge unbelievable prices for no flavored seafood this was my second trip the first time my lobster sandwich was very small and very small amount of lobster it was 35.00 for a sandwich. I fed 4 people and it was 370.00 !!!!!

This review is for the new brick & mortar restaurant. The restaurant is in a small strip shopping center in far North Austin- very close to Round Rock and Pflugerville. North of Wells Branch Pkwy and between Mopac and I35. It feels like the middle of nowhere but is quick to get to from Mopac. The space used to be an Italian restaurant and has been completely redone. It's all whites and greys- very light and bright. Mainly long tables with bench seats. We ordered at the counter and they brought the food to us. There is also a small deck with outdoor seating. The sodas are fountain Maine Root. The menu is a handful of seafood items and a Tx wagyu burger. It's really very good food but also very expensive. I had the fried oyster roll- they were plump, moist and delicious but there were only 3 on the roll. My friend ordered the Connecticut roll- warm lobster covered in melted butter and her hubby ordered the fried fish. Both said their food was delicious. The rolls were bit unexpected- little on the hard side and oddly sweet. I liked mine just fine but my friend and her hubby were not convinced. We shared 2 orders of the hand cut chips (thin, deep fried but not hard) they are not included at lunch. We all liked our food and loved the place. But for us this will be an occasional treat not a regular lunch spot.

We've had authentic lobster rolls in Maine many times and these at Garbo's do not measure up. They lack a buttery lemony taste and also need more mayonnaise because they were dry. They seem on the small side as well. The best lobster rolls we've had in Texas were from the Cousins' Lobster Truck out of San Antonio (but they seem to be temporarily closed).

My coworkers and I went to Garbo's for lunch as a treat. We all tried several different menu items, all of which were very fresh. I was torn between a lobster roll and the crab melt, which was one of the specials. When I got ready to order, I asked the ladies behind the counter what I should get, and they suggested the special since it's not readily available. Turns out the recommendation came from the owner (who is very nice), and she did not steer me wrong. It was heaven! Fresh crab, soft eggs? Yum! The restaurant is small, cute and unassuming. We went as a group of seven during lunch and had no trouble getting seated. There's a price for getting really fresh seafood, but it's worth every penny.

Okay people---Garbo's Lobster ATX is the "REAL DEAL". I repeat Garbo's Lobster ATX is the "REAL DEAL". Let me warn you--your taste buds are about to be finessed. After being in Austin for a week visiting family, my husband and I started craving lobster rolls so I googled and found Gardo's Lobster ATX. I noticed they had a food truck as well as a restaurant so off we went to the restaurant to get our lobster roll fix. Garbo's is located in a strip mall in north Austin's Wellsbranch area. As soon as we turned the corner, my eyes were immediately fixed upon the big red lobster painted on the side of a big white food truck. My husband couldn't park fast enough, my door was ajar and my feet on the ground in mid park. The restaurant was nice and bright with strategically placed grey tables and chairs, all neatly decorated with white linen napkins. Blah...blah...blah....you get the just. However, this patron didnt come for the decor, this patron came for the lobster rolls. We were immediately greeted & seated by a lovely lady who introduced herself as Heidi. I soon found out that Heidi was the owner of Garbo's originally from Key West, Florida by way of Connecticut. My husband and I eye balled the menu and decided we might as well try several different dishes. We began our meal with a glass of Pinot and water. The special of the day was fish & chips ($10) which was cod, fries & vinegar-- normally priced at $17 so we ordered one of the specials. As for the lobster roll, my husband selected a Connecticut lobster roll ($25) instead of the Maine lobster roll ($25) now for those of you that don't know the difference between the two. The Connecticut is mainly chunks of claw meat in butter. And the Maine is lobster meat with mayonnaise, celery & lemon. After 15 minutes of eagerly anticipating the arrival of our food--our dishes arrived looking nice and hot. Wonderful presentation! We wasted no time saying our prayers and thanking the lobster GOD for the meal we were about to devour. The fish & chips had a good size portion of cod with a crispy batter served with fries and three different dipping sauces. The lobster roll consisted of grilled bread stuffed with big chunks of freshly seasoned lobster meat (mostly claws) that had been perfectly cooked; wasn't mushy or rubbery. Folks let me say the face my husband made after the 1st bite of that lobster roll was priceless. All he could say was "WOW" with every bite he repeated "WOW! So, of course I had to get a bite just to see what all the faces were for. And LORDY LORDY all I could say was "WOW". It was savory, succulent & sinful. Totally worth $25 bucks, some may say thats pricey but hey lobster isnt cheap. I have champagne taste on a caviar budget and trust me Garbo's Lobster ATX is the "Real Deal" hands down. Kudos to Heidi and her crew they're definitely "SERVING NEW ENGLAND CUISINE WITH AN AUSTIN TWIST". Now that I'm back in Dallas I'm going to check out the lobster rolls at Cousins Maine Lobster truck. Garbo's has set the bar high let's see if Cousins can compete. Stay tuned- haveubeenhere.com

Garbo's brick and mortar on Bratton Lane was very good. After trying the lobster rolls from their truck at Mesquite Creek, my book club decided to meet there. Crab rolls were ordered which were yummy with melted gouda and bacon. The fish and chips are their biggest entree and it was huge. The cod was excellent and was super hot. It came with their yummy tartar, vinegar, and ketchup. All of us shared it. The fries were nothing special. We also ordered a whoopee pie which was a layered red velvet cake sandwich with a cream cheese and sprinkles middle. It was different. There was nothing left on any of our plates. I saw the fried shrimp dish several times. It looked really good. We had friendly, attentive service. We all gave it a thumbs up.

Excellent meal. Fries are just right amount of salt. Lobster in roll good. On the edge if being overcooked. Roll was toasted buttery excellence. Staff is great, too. Especially Samantha.

If you have a hankering for a lobster roll, then this is the place for you. I originally tried these at a bat fest food truck and I fell in love. I was super excited when I found their brick and mortar location. An Austin Gem!
Seafood dinner
Went to Garbo’s with family. It wasn’t a busy night, so we were quickly seated. I had the fried calamari, chowder, and lobster roll. Good food. There was a flying shark in the house. I think his name was Rudolf, as he had a red nose.
