A large fresh tasty salad made to your liking

By NenaOregon |

I thought this was a great find. The salads we had were all very good. You could buy a salad they had already designed or choose your ingredients. They put together your salad from fresh greens of any type for you. There are numerous vegetables, berries, nuts seeds etc. you can add. There were also many dressings. I loved that it was so healthy and filling.

Suddenly Garden Bars are invading Portland!

I want this chain to succeed! There's a real dearth of healthy places to eat in downtown proper. This new place offers soups and salads. I tried one of their already designed salads for lunch. It was the Northwest Bowl ... and it was, as are the rest, plenty big. I didn't go with a "make your own" because I couldn't apprehend quickly how it worked as far as pricing goes. I chose the heavy dressing amount ... although it didn't seem heavy at all!?! The kale (the major ingredient in this salad) wasn't that fresh. And the other ingredients were tasty except the tempeh needed something. (Toasted? Marinated?). The restaurant has stools that you sit on -- which was fine, although I would have liked actual table and chairs. The people who work there are cordial, but it feels like an upscale fast food joint.

Fresh Salads

You do get a freshly made salad with your choices. For what you get it's not cheap and I always leave unsatisfied. There are so many better choices available in town but if you are on a diet and you need a quick salad fix it will do in a pinch.

Great Salads for Lunch

I go to Garden Bar at least once a week because it is right next to WeWork and has both Salads to dine in or take away. Super healthy and great value.

Salad lovers rejoice

If you love the taste of a fresh crunchy salad with a great choice of fresh tasty add ins, this is the place. The salads are large and you can chose from several predesigned salads or make your own from a very ample list of options for the greens and additions like Quinoa, beets, corn, beans, peppers, seeds, nuts, berries etc. This was my second time there and the staff was friendly and helpful. They have several dressing choices as well and they are very gluten free friendly.

Delicious food. Lots of different beers and amazing beer glasses. Groups are welcome. this corner building is located on the main street Cedar Hills Blvd. a wonderful open space /friendly staff and Great Wall art. I believe this is a spin off from the Reinlander restaurant.
