The South Point is worth a visit just for the Garden Buffet

By huberschweiz |

If you manage to get to the breakfast buffet before the crowds (e.g. on special occasions like bowling etc.), you can really indulge yourself: 3 fried eggs, a sandwich, yogurt, and then some dessert. With bottomless coffee, of course. For hungrier people than me, roast meat, pizza, ice cream and much more are available. Try to get a breakfast like that somewhere else for $19.

Garden Buffet Brunch

By dj33161 |

As a hotel guest, you get a 50% coupon upon check in for Garden Buffet. For that price point, the value of the meal is excellent. While Vegas has many buffet options that include higher end food and dessert options, the price point of this buffet and the quality of the food it does offer is still very good, Table drink service is attentive and cordial. All in all, a great value for the money.

Not if you have a choice

By nielsh928 |

This is a very underwhelming buffet. Save your money and go to the coffee shop . You will be served and eat better fresher food

OMG the Prime Rib

By Sheila S |

The buffet is now served cafeteria style because of Covid. It still allows you the option of asking for more or less up there. The prime rib is outstanding. Any other place would cost much more. Other carving choices my night were turkey, pork, and ribs. There is only one other buffet and that's Wicked Spoon which is a brunch only. I don't want breakfast food. If possible, get to SouthPoint Casino which is a few miles south of the strip. We enjoyed it. Cost $18.95 with players card Sunday-Thursday, and Saturday. Friday is seafood night at $28.95 with card.

Good weekend buffet. Not great on weekday.

By VGTravelGirl |

Varied experience by day. The more expensive brunch buffet on weekends had plentiful options, including a variety of meats and some seafood. Lots of breakfast options. Long line-up to get a seat. Had a great server that day. On a regular weekday, breakfast was cheaper and not as good. As price would indicate, fewer options. Some of the food was not very warm, sausage was over/cooked and pastries were a little dry. Our server that day was not as good as our previous experience

Fairly good for the price

By SBZ53217 |

Good for the price. Lots of options. Very comfortable seating. Some stations had many people lined up. But moved fairly quickly.

Away from the Strip

By Ryan A |

We had a lovely brunch last Saturday, it was great, not so crowded, all the essentials you need in a breakfast, i loved it, the staff were all friendly and masked up…if you are looking for a quiet place away from Strip, this is a place to visit

The Garden of Dissapointment.

By Mike Z |

We went as people said the buffet was awesome.... when we got there and tried the food... it was terrible everything very blan and overcooked. The cook on the stir-fry grill coughed all over the food while he was cooking and you guessed it... didn't cover his mouth. They didn't have many options over all and all the different stations filled themselves with carbs.. lots of them and they were again overcooked. Would never go back or recommend this place to anyone.

This place sucks

By Amy G |

We regret not going to McDonald’s. This place makes Golden Corral look like a Michelin star restaurant. Seriously bad food. They even screwed up the tortilla chips with rancid oil. Stay far far away. Frfr.

Nice Buffet Lunch with excellent Reuben Sandwich

By Scott B |

We had a very nice lunch at South Point Casino. There was a huge selection, everything tasted fresh and the price was fair for what you got! I especially enjoyed the freshly made grilled Reuben Sandwich. It was excellent!

greatful for south point for treating the military and veterans to a buffet

By Steve G |

the food was so good and everything we had was hot and very tasty . the only thing that was a little off was the waitress must have been having a bad day she was very snappy and rude to us and some of the other customers . i know they were so very busy and were serving so many more people than they usually do and i was greatful for that . but when i was looking around at the other wait staff they were busy and not rude and snappy to there customers .not like venus was to us .

Celiac disease/gluten free

Celiac disease and gluten free people. When you pay let them know you have a gluten free problem and they will have a chef walk with you and point out all that is gluten free.

Construction Limits Food Selection

By tnlag |

This is one of our favorite places. It has been under renovation for a few months and does offer a reduced price because of the inconvenience, etc. Normally very pleased with the available choices. The main entree choices were plentiful as well as the salad making choices. This visit the dessert selection was very limited and not up to par as normally enjoyed. It appeared some may have been left over from earlier dining since just a few were grouped from the main trays of cake pieces, etc. We were there when the dining room first opened for dinner and seated by the dessert cart so saw it before anyone had served themselves. When the renovation is completed, it will be a very colorful and comfortable environment.

Very Below Average

By Shaz K |

Went to Garden Buffet yesterday morning for brunch on our way out of Vegas. Payed $17.95 for brunch with a players club card. Let me start by saying that the coffee was amazing and the best thing that I tried. Choices were very limited and staff very short handed. I went up for food and had to wait at every station to be served when there was no one else there. The staff were busy doing prep and other things when there should have been a designated server available when you went up like in other hotel buffets. The food that I tried was very below average. I finally got some Eggs Benedict and the egg yolk was hard and the muffin was soggy. Corned Beef hash was also soggy, no crunch, but was OK. There was mashed potato at the meat station which was in my opinion the best thing there apart from the coffee. I would probably not spend my money at this buffet again even though the price was very reasonable. I guess it come down to you getting what you pay for.

Prime Rib night is worth going

By STraveler2 |

Very good Prime rib (certain nights - ours was Wednesday). Other dishes were numerous and good, including desserts. Service also good.

Decent food. Good price

By Dream14288112048 |

The buffet was $11.95 with the club card. The food wasn't anything special but had the main food groups. Good value for the price.

Great Buffet

By lkrinke1231 |

My husband loves buffets in Vegas! When we went as a couple in July this was one of the few that were open so we decided to try it. We weren’t sure what to expect since the price was super cheap with a players card. We were pleasantly surprised with the selection and taste. It wasn’t as good at the Wynn’s buffet or Wicked Spoon, but it was very good for that price point. We brought our 3 kids to Vegas for the first time in Dec. and we are at this buffet twice. The kids loved it and so did we for the price!

good buffet at a cheaper price

By patricia a |

I like the buffet at South Point... Sometimes it is better than other... We visited in April for Sunday brunch and it was pretty good.. although some of us had some colder food...They had decent prime rib that was either to well done or very rare... He threw the rare on the grill for me so then it was nice and hot and taste...coconut cake was tasty..blintz with hot blueberry sauce was good...and we seemed to enjoy our freshly cooked eggs and omelettes

Bellies full

By EH!NrthrnGurl |

We went for breakfast the first time and there was plenty of variety to choose from. Left there stuffed! Dinner, the prime rib was cooked right! For the price, it was great! Lots of sides, and again belly was full! Not sure if we were supposed to tip the staff on the floor, they dropped off our drinks and that was the last we saw them. To get the better rate, make sure you have your Club card

Stuff your Face at the Buffet

By PhlegmMaster |

It's a pretty typical buffet, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Price (with Player's Card) was $17.95 per person. A decent assortment of cuisine such as Mexican, American, Italian, Asian, etc. My friend and I stuffed ourselves, so: Mission Accomplished.

Dinner at south point

By John |

We went to south point buffet as we have been here before so we went their for breakfast and it was very good a lot of choices to choose from. Price is very reasonable with players card. , we also went their for dinner as they had prime rib, shrimp the prime rib was excellent, A lot to choose from Everything we tried was excellent service was a bit slow as alot of places are under staffed but it wasn’t bad . Between all the place s we ate this week this was a very good buffet it is down the strip a bit but worth the drive I don’t think you will be disappointed , we ate their a total of 5 times that week every time was good

We try every visit

By dancer62va |

We come for breakfast only to find the buffet under construction, which is ok. But some of the food is cold when its supposed to be hot. Or my favorite they have cream cheese but are out of bagels. I ended eating a 1/2 of ham sandwich. The breakfast foods were too cold. Eggs are supposed to be ot and not runny.

Take your pick

By Maria B |

Fresh hot all types of food breakfast , omelet made to your choice Asian, Mexican cereals even menudo.even has bloody Mary’s Dinner was amazing prime rib, salads

Newly Remodeled Buffet

By Joyce K |

Colorful and Good Food are found at this buffet. Their remodel is cheerful, and the food is delicious. A great variety of selections are available.

Great Selection

By Traci S |

There was a lot of different items for breakfast, huge selection. Orange juice could be better, tasted like Tang mixed with orange juice. Have free Bloody Mary's with buffet purchase.

Great Value

By Jeff D |

We went to the buffet twice last weekend and enjoyed it. Great service, value and great selection of food. I would recommend over the overpriced buffets in the Strip.

Buffet - all you can eat at reasonable price

By hsbhambra |

Well it is a buffet - all you can eat at a very reasonable price. You will get a book with vouchers inside , so use it and this will get you a discount on the final price, that is if you are staying at the South Point Casino. Very friendly staff to seat you and brings drinks to the table. All kinds of food at the counters and deserts - simply yummy.

Great brunch before USBC Bowling Tourney

By Dgouldd |

Stopped at the Garden Buffet before bowling in the USBC national Tournament. It was the weekend so it was considered brunch which was reasonably priced at $20. Really wide variety of breakfast and lunch items. I personally thought the salmon was delicious. Omelet station was very good, ribs were tasty. Great selection of desserts as well especially the chocolate pops. Service was friendly and efficient. During the week the breakfast buffet is only $10. Would definitely recommend this restaurant over their 24 cafe.

Great Value - So Many Choices

By robertscottw661 |

If you want to experience a Las Vegas Buffet while in Vegas, this is a GREAT choice. An incredible value! Great service. Super clean. Soooooo many choices. Yes there is good food! We went on Prime Rib and Peel-Eat Shrimp. The shrimp were plentiful and fresh - not all soaked in water. The prime rib wasn’t the best I have ever had in my life, but hey, this isn’t Lawrys - and this is a great deal! Italian, Pizza, Asian, Fish, Mexican, salads, soups, so much to pick from. The fresh fish was very good, the pizza was great, handmade Reuben’s, and a wonderful dessert bar. Was every single thing 100% hot and perfect? No. But with so many choices, just set it aside and try something else. Really no big deal. Didn’t bother me. I would recommend.

Totally worth the drive!

By mariocrosswell |

This is a great buffet if you rent a car and do not mind to drive 15 minutes away from the strip. Great service, good food and great price. It is not The Bellagio or the Caesars, but it is a great option and you can not beat the price.

Weekday breakfast delicious!

By burnsie93 |

We joined the club for the discount. So many choices. My husband loved his made to order omelet. The fresh fruit was good and the desserts at breakfast were great. I had a dish of gelato. Marcelo was our server and was attentive and cheerful. We will go back and request him.

Plenty of old-fashioned "comfort" food and a nice atmosphere

By sophiabacini |

Much like all buffets of its kind, this one is long on standard fare, with a few special dishes, such as the Mongolian grill, where you order fresh-made stir-fry.Salad bar includes whole walnuts and other nice touches.Sadly, the iced coffee tasted "instant," not worth drinking.

Good Buffet at Southpoint Casino

By GLow |

We come by here whenever we are in Las Vegas. The food is consistently good and tasty. Today Kathleen from Chicago was our waitress, she always does a fantastic job!

Decent buffet with lots of selections.

By Ken B |

Not one of the more outstanding birthday is on the strip for sure. But you do get a decent selection and the food is always fresh. Our group 8 here five times throughout the week mostly for breakfast and dinner. The seafood buffet was nice and the selection of food was decent. Nothing outstanding but the price was fair to. Staff works really well and refills drinks quickly. With a stop for a quick meal but just don’t expect a $75 buffet!!

Excellent Buffet at South Point

By Debra H |

Great variety offered when getting a quick breakfast to start the day. Staff very efficient and pleasant. Omelettes made to order we're wonderful. Waitstaff kept the coffee flowing. Would definitely recommend

A little bit of everything.

By celnaver |

We went there on the weekend so instead of the standard breakfast buffet it was a brunch with both breakfast and lunch items. The omelet stations prepare omelets to your specifications. The food and service were excellent for the price.

Good food for the price.

By Rats1955 |

Breakfast buffet was very good. Not as fancy as the higher end buffet, but very good value for money. I would definitely go again. Recommend the ham and pork belly at the carving station.

Good Value

By zooland |

The buffet is very reasonable and there was a long line of people. The food was good and waiter was good. While not the best buffet I would recommend trying for the price.

We ate breakfast here everyday

By zekesidney |

Excellent variety of various foods which is reasonably priced. Breakfast had Asian, seafood, omelettes made to order, fruit, pastries.....if it's in a breakfast they had it.

Garden Cafe is a Must!

By Joan S |

OMGoodness. Such fun delectable food. So many Nationalities represented. The best was the desserts. There were 5 of us and we sampled each other's plates. This is my 3rd time going and always a wonderful food experience .

GREAT food

By KevsBlessedWife |

We ate lunch here and stuffed ourselves silly. Food was hot and so many choices! I requested a seat in the back, away from the smoking in the casino area, and they were very accommodating.

Go to Golden Corral

By Sweetbabyboy |

This is as average as it gets. It’s about as good as Golden Corral. They do have Gelato that was very good and so was the bread pudding. The rest of the food was very average.

Awesome experience

By Jody B |

Very delicious. Great selection. I couldn't even go to all the areas. I left so full. Carving station guy was so friendly.

Breakfast

By Robert |

Food was good and the server was attentive. We did have to ask for refills on our drinks which always seems to be a big deal with me. I think that is the easiest part of their job.

Good Deal

By kateb33 |

We grabbed Sunday lunch here because I wanted a salad and hubby wanted a burger. It was really a great deal. Under $25 with a players card. Lots of selection and fresh food. Best bang for our buck we had all week.

Southpoint Buffet

By Southpoint Buffet |

Make sure you get a card from the Players Club, it is good for a discounted price at the Buffet, we ate there several time, my wife liked the baked oysters that were in the seafood section. I enjoyed the Salads and the Prime Rib one evening and then had the Stir fry from the Asian section the next night, it was fun selecting what I wanted to have in my stir fry.

Pretty good

By mdzn5440 |

Lots of variety. Plenty of different food. Food was good. Affordable. Wanted to eat off strip for good price and found this.

In for USBC Open Championship

By WJLWR |

Great breakfasts choice. A little bit expensive on the weekends and they open later and call it brunch

Went to dinner buffet. Food was average. It was prime rib and seafood night. Great service by table attendant.

By missmollyc2018 |

Nice salad bar. Prime rib was ok. Clam chowder was very good. The dessert bar was very disappointing.

Needs improvemet

By room45963 |

The salad bar items are limited and it hard to see what is in each bowl. The prime rib was tough and taste less. There was a selection of soups. Italian foods was OK. The buffet has been re-modeled and the food was better before. There is a good selection of desserts.

Nice for the price

By Ck Bledsoe |

Good selection of choices. Everything was kept filled and hot. Nice salad bar and good selection of desserts. Can't beat it for $26 for brunch, we had been paying $22 for just breakfast at other places.

Really reasonable breakfast buffet during the week

By Glenn R |

The breakfast buffet has a great variety of items with made-to-order omelets and refreshed foods at a very reasonable price. You won't go hungry here and the taste won't disappoint.

Typical Buffet

By my e |

Ok and convenient since we were staying at the condos at grandview across the street. Prime rib is about the best thing there however their temps are off, if you ask for rare it will be a medium cut and if you ask for medium it's well. The crab is ok but, you can tell they dont clean it thoroughly, the wife and multiple pieces that we definitely not cleaned prior to cooking. The sides are typical and ok, most items were not seasoned well or overcooked. The breakfast was probably the best of the sessions they have cooked to order eggs, which is better because we were positive the scrambled eggs on the line were powder eggs or beaters, it's a decent price with a players card. Overall ok for convenience but honestly golden corral is probably better for buffets.

Where’s the beef? It’s at the Garden Buffet!

By EmGeeGee |

I was craving a prime rib dinner and ran across an internet recommendation for the prime rib dinner at South Point Casino’s Garden Buffet. Went and became a raving fan! The prime rib was delicious! The price was excellent! The wait staff was attentive! Went back a second time and tried the breakfast buffet was equally good. Although there is a line, it moves quickly! The Garden Buffet did not disappoint.

Great Buffet

By Lori C |

Great Omelet Station. Huge variety of food. Use the coupon given when you check in for 50% off. Servers are very attentive and keep drinks filled.

under somstruction

By shop51 |

food is of good quality and variety was under construction so parts were close off very reasonable plenty of space

Great place Wonderful Buffet

By Bill K |

This is a great place to stay and play with a wonderful buffet. I will definitely be back. They had everything

Great Variety

By Cielo71 |

Everything was fresh and loved the variety to take care of everyone’s craving! The service staff was extremely safe and attentive.

Disgusting breakfast buffet

By Michelle C |

The breakfast buffet at South Point was absolutely the worst buffet I have been to in my life. There was practically nothing edible. Our whole family kept trying to find something decent, and it was nearly impossible, so we kept having to waste food and there was no way to avoid it. Extremely undercooked eggs, except when they were overcooked, dreadful desserts, inexplicable French toast that just tasted bad. How is that even possible to have bad tasting French toast? Dry ham and fruit that has seen better days rounded out the offerings. The sausage was okay. Definitely not recommended.

Second Visit in 8 Months, Better the Second Time

By DadTraveler |

Busy on a Tuesday at 5pm for their Prime Rib and All You Can Eat Peel and Eat Shrimp Buffet. The first time we visited in November 2020 during the pandemic when they served you, this time you serve yourself as a buffet should be. The food was very good with the highlights being the very fresh shrimp cocktail, prime rib, potstickers, and my favorite was the black raspberry truffle Gelato. The service was prompt and the maintenance of the buffet was spot on. A great choice until more of the Strip buffets open in the coming months. $19.99 per person with a Players Card, a great deal!

Garden Buffet, good comfort food at a resonable price

By Blake T |

I went back to this buffet, (was there right after the renovation the last time). The buffet serves good food at a reasonable price. The place still looks brand new, the service was good. Check at the players club, they usually have a special for the buffet. For good comfort food at a reasonable price you won't be disappointed.

CLEAN, WELL ORGANIZED, EXCELLENT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE

By QueenLorraine |

We went there on Thursday for lunch. The price was around 13.00 the food was very tasty and great variety. Everyone kept their 6-foot distance. It was wonderful. WE LOVE SOUTH POINT.

Photos added. Very good bargain buffet

By NitroDog |

This is a very large buffet located in the South Point Casino. They have different stations offering different food offerings. Carved meats YUM! Very good desserts and friendly staff. I will return.

Surprisingly good!

By Susi135 |

Very pleasantly surprised with this buffet. Initially not sure that we wanted to do a Vegas buffet, but our friends wanted a buffet experience. First off, the price was very reasonable at only $21 with the South Point card which they can give you on the spot. We had some of the Mexican food, some of the Asian, and some of the Italian, followed by a couple scoops of gelato. Honestly everything we tried was quite tasty. Unfortunately we could only eat so much, so we couldn't try everything, but all we saw looked quite appealing. Service was OK. Our server wasn't the friendliest, but it's a buffet so we didn't need much more than drinks from him. If you are interested in a Las Vegas buffet, don't want to spend an arm and a leg, and are willing to travel to south point, this buffet is for you!

Food was fresh

By Donna B |

The food was fresh and the buffet was kept full. The buffet offered a lot of selections and even my picky granddaughters found plenty to eat and enjoyed it.

Happy we tried it Again!

By Chris K |

Met friends at the South Point and decided to give their Garden Buffet a try since we had not eaten there in probably a couple of years. Make sure you have your Boarding Pass since that will give you a nice discount on the price and be aware right at this time they are under going some renovations at the serving area but you still get all the food that they offer! We were seated right away and had two wonderful servers taking very good care of us...we never wanted for water, sodas or coffee at any point during our meal and they were always quick to clear away our dirty plates. I was most impressed that at lunch time they had not only turkey breast at the carving station but prime rib too!! Be careful, the horseradish is hot and will clear your sinuses! Everything was good from the Asian to the Desserts and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We will return Garden Buffet, we will return!

Great Buffet

By Joe G |

Had the Sunday Brunch Buffet and was very impressed. Lots of food and endless Mimosa's. The service was good as well.

Huge selection of food but no fried chicken

By kas36538 |

Everything I tried on this buffet was very good but found it weird that in the American section, there was no fried chicken. They have a really nice selection of Seafood, Asian, Italian, Mexican and American food. There is also a huge assortment of salads and desserts. It's also one of the few buffets I've seen where you can order beer or wine. For South Point members, there is a discount on the various meal options. The coupon book they gave us at check-in had a half price coupon for either breakfast of lunch.

Only eat it if it’s free

By Jaak |

It was absolutely disgusting. Dessert was good but everything else was cold and gross. Ambience nice, right by the slot machines. I’d recommend any of the other restaurants there over this one. The “free” wine is the $4/bottle wine.

Very nice old school buffet

By MrsD11432 |

Visited twice for lunch. Great food, good service, good price ($16 for lunch w card) Well worth 15 min drive from strip. Lines tend to get long but move quick. Will definitely go back next time. FYI, if you try to come for lunch last minute (after 2:30pm), they may make you wait for dinner (opens at 4pm)

First Buffet in Over 2 Years...It Could Have Been Better

By Chris K |

We specifically went on a Sunday so that we could once again, as in days gone by, enjoy the Prime Rib. Paid $22.99 per person. The prime rib would have moo'ed at me given half a chance...so raw and you cannot convince me that everyone and his brother wants their meat like that. A very thin slice (can you spare it?) was thrown on the grill, overcooked and then more or less plopped down on my plate. Not impressed, not like in previous visits. The mashed potatoes were cold. The fried shrimp were so tiny! The section were the taco makings were displayed was so messy and unappetizing to say the least. The bacon was so thin you probably could read the newspaper through it. Scrambled eggs were cold. It was extremely busy and I just couldn't get to the fresh fruit and a couple of other areas. The dessert area was clean and well stocked and the server went out of her way to get the donut I wanted--thanks for that! Our server was absolutely lovely and very attentive...kept us happy with Mimosas and even brought bagels to our table because we couldn't find them. Wouldn't go again because just too expensive for what they are serving up to us. Very sad visit.

Anything that you want to eat

By Manzel Moore Jr |

My wife I attended this buffet with friends and were pleasantly surprised at the selection of both the breakfast and dinner buffets More than enough selections of foods Reasonably priced

Decent for a budget buffet

By Christina N |

You really can't beat the price especially with their "Hard Hat Specials" since they are undergoing construction. But the food was underwhelming. Yes, you get a lot of selections but everything just tasted like it has been sitting under the heat lamp. Kind of stale, but slightly warm. My waffle almost scraped the roof of my mouth because parts of it resembled crunchy brick. But did I get a eggs benedict? And did I have pecan pie? Both yes. And both were pretty good. I even got myself some breaded fried shrimp and decent cooked fish. For the budget eater, this is a great choice. But if you're a foodie....I suggest you pay extra and go elsewhere for more extravagant food.

Dinner Experience

By mterry779 |

My family and I visited this restaurant in December 2023. While waiting for my food, I saw a roach crawling on the serving line and I had to get the Chef's attention to get it. The advertisement of the menu options is placed on a higher scale than what is seen in person. I will not visit this restaurant again.

Always a delicious experience at the Garden Buffet

By RoxanneFL |

There are fancier, more expensive buffets in Las Vegas, the land of buffets. We have dined at many of them, and keep coming back to the Gatden Buffet at SouthPoint Casino Resort. SouthPoint has many wonderful restaurants, and we enjoy dining at quite a few, but for a quick, delicious, inexpensive, omg-prime rib-for-breakfast treat, we eat several of our vacation meals here. Through the many years, I even haven’t favorite servers, and hosts. (We know a good thing when we see/taste it.

Hidden gem off strip

By Frank K |

Clean and organized very friendly staff and affordable price. My wife loves buffets and all the choices, this one did not dissapoint. Food was hot, egg station was prompt and the person cooking was VERY FRIENDLY.

Horrible

By NewYorkeralive |

Like a Last Meal before Execution. You are paying for a fancy inmate meal as if it was your last meal. You will feel like it was better to expedite your fate rather than go thru the bookings, slow care of you, mediocre food and a price that robs your wallet.

HUNGRY ?

By Brian B |

This is the place to eat - Cheap and great food ! Right in the middle of the Casino but not smoky at all and a huge assortment and variety of choices..

Best buffet

By lwa3 |

Very nice experience. Staff very friendly and gave good service. Price very reasonable for weekday lunch $22.99 and children 3 and under free. Lots of different choices. Very tasty food which is being changed and more served up. Good choices available across different stations and very good quality food. Good range of drinks available too. It was quite busy when we were there but it didn't feel crowded and the wait wasn't long. Recommend for sure. It's the nicest of 3 buffets we've tried in Vegas.

Vegas Trip to Mecum Auction

By kayes |

We had dinner here the Friday of the Mecum Auction, A nice, clean Buffet. Lots of choices. Priced Right. The wait staff was Excellent. We did not have dishes stacked up on the table, like some buffets do when you finish something. Tables were cleaned, drink glasses were kept full. The place was well stocked on all serving tables. We enjoyed this place.

Poor!

By CSML47 |

Food quality was not good. Service was intermittent. Did not impress me as a Las Vegas buffet. Would not recommend

Revamped Buffet

By Donna S |

The buffet has had a recent make-over. First, everything was clean. I'm not really a huge fan of buffets, but sometimes that's all you get. They have a big menu of different stations. The salad bar is nice. They even had a pretty good baked potato bar one night. The brunch comes with unlimited mimosas! The desserts are fantastic - fell in love the pistachio gelato......

Affordable evening buffet

By German_Addick |

Of the many casinos with evening buffets, there are not many left that offer a buffet every evening. The South Point Buffet is worth the trip. The price was reasonable at around $35 during the week. If a special food theme is offered, the prices are a little higher. The wait for a table was not very long. There are several stations with dishes from different nations. The food was well prepared and was constantly refilled. There were four of us there and everyone found something for themselves.

Horrible buffet

By Michael R |

Had their prime rib buffet. The prime rib was gristly and ended up in the trash. I tried several other items across several cuisines (seafood, Mexican, Asian, home style, etc). Across the board, everything I tried was bland at best, and putrid at worst. Absolutely the worst buffet I’ve ever tried. Save your money and go to Golden Corral.

The best place to eat

By Mike I |

Good varieties, good service not expansive, nice place. Was there for a week and found that this place is most convenient and affordable

Excellent Value

By gardenbear |

This is one of the lowest priced buffets in all of Las Vegas. It was definitely worth the trip down there. The food was plentiful and tasted great.

How Dissapointing!

By JohnCBeaver |

I had heard great things about the lunch and dinner buffets and decided to try this buffet for breakfast. Almost everything I had was dry!!!! Brisket, eggs, hamburger, biscuits, frittata, stuffing - all dry!!! The best things was probably the sausages. The pork ribs, blintzes with blueberry sauce, kielbasa and cranberry sauce were not bad. The carrot cake was pretty good. Normally I can find at least one or two things I love and load up on those. Not so here. Most of the food was mediocre. I won't eat here again.

Nice buffet with gluten-free choices

By AngBreidenbach |

I’m staying for family business. Checking into the hotel meant getting coupons to this restaurant. I found the servers friendly and the food good. I was able to eat and go quickly. Because of the New Year’s holidays, my experience was a brunch. That means higher prices and carved meats. I was glad for the 50% coupon!

Revamped buffet

By westie2 |

We were staying a timeshare immediately across the street from the South Point a decided to have the breakfast buffet prior to catching a return flight home. The buffet has been revamped since our last visit with additional cooking stations along with a few new items introduced. The room is large and bright with above average service. I loaded plate #1 plate with fresh fruit and yogurt. Plate #2 involved easy over eggs, sliced to order ham, potatoes and corned beef hash. Plate #3 was limited to a sampling of bacon and sauteed mushrooms. Baked breakfast pastries, gellato and the entire dessert station were ignored. The food was of average quality, but served to fill (stuff) my belly at a very reasonable price given that my wife and I used a American Casino Guide 2 for 1 coupon.

Nice options, we went for breakfast one morning

A nice option. Make sure you sign up for your players card before eating and you'll get a nice discount.

Sunday brunch

By Wayne F |

Usually avoid buffets, but this one better than average. Second buffet this trip, this one much better than first at another locale.

Good food and service

By s_w9mm |

The service is good and the food was good but the lines to get in were slow and a long wait. We timed it Ok, but we could see the line growing and people having to wait a very long time. For this size of casino the seating in the buffet could easily be increased to accommodate the demand.

Not Too Bad for a Buffet

By enteng000 |

We went in for brunch. It was okay. There was Mimosa offered as you comes in. I liked the omelet station. The prime rib was cooked right but the slicer dumped this big chunk of meat on my plate. I think he was too lazy to make another slice from the remaining part of the prime rib. I was surprised to find Spam on the buffet table! First time! Overall, it was alright.

Meh... go somewhere else for good food.

By Ottawagrrl |

While not as expensive as other buffets on the strip and parking is easy, the food is generally bland and mediocre. Lunch was $ 18.95 per person. The good: Salad and vegetables were beautiful and fresh. Turkey breast was perfect, juicy and tasty along with the gravy. Sorbet and gelato was tasty, mini flan was nice. Southern chicken breast was good, especially with theheated and slightly spicy barbecue sauce. The not so good: Brisket is tough and rubbery and definitely needs to be cooked longer. Ribs were dry. Taco meat was bland. Peach cobbler was not good. Selection is substantial but much, unfortunately, doesn't look appealing. We left full, but somewhat disappointed.

The best buffet left in Las Vegas

By Ale O |

Of the few and good buffets left in Las Vegas, the price is well compared to the quality and variety of the food, very good taste throughout and much to choose from, the staff is very friendly and attentive, worth going there to eat

You get what you pay for

By melissassf |

This is one of the cheaper buffets in Las Vegas. You get what you pay for. I swear the customer service and food quality have taken a steep decline over the past 6 months, more so than the other buffets in Las Vegas. After my January 2022 visit on the way back to the strip we had to pull the car over so I could vomit. This last visit (March 2022) they were completely not accommodating for our group with a wheelchair. They sat the party of 5 from behind us in line and then made us wait another half hour after paying to seat us, while seating 20 more parties. Then, a girl ran through the dining room and vomited right in the middle of the room. It took another half hour for them to clean that up. The food selection is pretty limited. The desserts are the best part of the menu and the servers in that area are the best at customer service.

No reservations, no service at 4pm opening no admittance, 14 customers in line

By Paul |

02/05/2021; Making dinner reservations for the Garden Buffet, is not clearly outlined. We arrived at 4pm when the dinner buffet starts. We were the 14th customers in line as we looked at an empty 300 available seating. An employee asked if we had reservations and I said NO, I did not read anything about needing reservations for a buffet. He said that we come back at 7:30pm to eat. I said that the only rules that were stated online were face masks & social distancing. At this time my wife and I along with the other paying customers left to go eat at one of the upstairs restaurants who did not require reservations, go figure.

Okay for a buffet.

By Mel_Iss_A_Lucky-One |

I am not a big buffet fan to begin with. However, this buffet was decent. Okay price. I wouldn’t pay more than $15 for lunch. The desserts were the best part.

Garden Buffett

By Rob M |

Nice breakfast buffett with everything and anything you want for breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit and bread, plus eggs pancakes, waffles. cereals and milk, at least four kinds of juices, bacon. sausage, ham and a few other items too numerous to list here. They also feature custom-made omelets, but the line is almost always very long. Good food.

NOPE

By Leslie F |

Terrible buffet. Complete lack of seasoning on any dish. Usually we can find a couple of dishes wherever we go but not here. NOT cheap either

Great selection of food for a reasonable price

By bonnieh315 |

We ate breakfast and dinner here. The dinner menu was good but don’t get the prime rib....slices so thin it didn’t have a prime rib taste. Vegetables and salad bar were great. Breakfast bar was superb with great selection.

Just Alright!!

By Weavers76 |

This buffet is located in South Point Casino. I have to say that it was a very small buffet for the size of the casino. It us a guarantee that you will certainly bump into several people trying to get food. If the lines form, they will block the next line. It was very cramped. Food was just okay too. Veggies are very limited or nonexistence. I was not impressed and had experienced other buffets worth the money. We experienced this through a sales presentation but glad we didn't pay for the experience.

Not good at all

By Jason T |

Not good at all. Same stuff on their menu every time we visit. Much better buffet at the other casinos for sure.

Decent Buffet

By dwnhkr |

We ate four times at the Garden Buffet. Breakfast was reasonably priced on weekdays and much higher priced on weekends. During lunch, the vegetables were excellent, not overcooked at all. Some of the meats were very dry. They have lots of food choices. Service varied widely depending on the server. Still, I would be willing to eat here again.

awesome breakfast

By Miles M |

this is one of the few (only?) affordable breakfast buffets left in Vegas and it is a great value. there is a wide selection. the french toast was perfect and there was lots of fresh fruit. it's not the Bacchanal but you probably won't find a better value for a big breakfast.

Very good buffet--especially for $27 in Vegas

By suedo66 |

We enjoyed the buffet so much that we went back a second time-----very good price for Vegas--payed $27 each after the $3 off because we signed up for the players club------we were very impressed with the extra service that a waiter named Joe gave us--even requested him the second visit----------as far as food---had everything you could ask for

Only Dinner Buffet Available

By Michael M |

Excellent buffet and very reasonable. Only 19.95 with club card, 21.95 without. So many choices, beautifully prepared and presented. We mainly went for the prime rib and shrimp. Both were outstanding. More buffets set to re-open later this month, but they will all probably be more expensive and not worth the higher prices. We were both happy with this being the only buffet choice while we were in Vegas. Location was at the far south end of the strip but if you have a car it's easy to find. Highly recommend.

BREAKFAST BUFFET

By raymond b |

FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL AND STAFF (ESPECIALLY CINDY AND BRIAN) WERE HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. BRIAN MADE GREAT OMELETTES. BEST BUFFET IN VEGAS FOR THE PRICE.

GOOD BUFFET

By Jose' |

We have been here many times over the years for lunch. Good value, decent choices. nice open bright cheery atmosphere. Easy access, just pull up to South Point Casino and walk in. Easy, free parking in and out.

I ate there once and thought I might never eat again

By Abby |

The title says it all. First night in Vegas. All food was bland and felt microwaved. 30$ per person. The so called “action stations” such as chicken parm. Was just a server running some hot water through the pasta and throwing some pasta sauce on it

nice choices

By 73travelbug65 |

you get a discount if your a member of south point casino, easy to do at the casino they serve the food to you at the different stations it was nice

Gelato

By ixoye80550 |

Good value and good food especially if you use the 1/2 off coupon that hotel guests receive. Highlight for me is there extensive gelato offering.

Great buffet

By Skibum70 |

We ate here several times while staying at the South Point in Mid October. Breakfast and Dinner were outstanding and there are tons of choices. Everything was fresh and cooked perfect, free mimosa's in the morning and free beer (limited) at night. Fast friendly service at a reasonable price.

Not pleased with the omelette bar.

By Ronayne S |

Omelette line was long, only two cooks resulting in brown on the outside. The selection of the choices made up for the difference. Price was fair.

Las Vegas Buffet for Breakfast

By VailAZTraveler |

The only Casino buffet open during this Covid time, that we found, was the Garden Buffet at the South Point. We decided to try it for breakfast. Slot club members get breakfast for $9.95 + tax. It was not very busy at 8:30 AM with maybe 10 people in line at the cashier. The line moved quickly and we were in and seated. They have an omelet cooking station, several food stations with eggs, bacon, potatoes of different types, sausage, chicken fried steak, etc. A very good variety with all of the food very good. Last, we finished up with some fresh donuts ! Service was good all during breakfast. We will return to this buffet in the future as we were happy with everything.

So Happy to be Back at a Buffet!

By B_Pope |

At the time of our Las Vegas visit, South Point Garden Buffet was the first and only one open since the pandemic began. We jumped at the opportunity to finally go to a buffet again! Kudos to the staff for all they did to make it happen. Everyone there seemed glad to be working again. The buffet experience is different now, but that's not to say it's in any way inferior to what it was before. The workers serve you now from behind the counters, just tell them what you want and they will put it on your plate. It all worked very well. Diners are seated with plenty of space between, so we felt safely distanced the whole time. The food was very good for a buffet. Of course some things were overcooked, which naturally happens when things are in warming dishes. But everything was well-flavored, and nothing was overly salty. The Mongolian BBQ station was particularly good, but watch out, they will load you up with too large a portion. Salads were very good, desserts were hit-and-miss, but we found some good ones. Everyone should be able to find a number of things that they like. Buffets are back, and there is great rejoicing!

Needs A Reboot After Renovations! Take a Pass!

By Engineer_Lou |

The Buffet is located inside the South Point Casino Hotel on Las Vegas Blvd and Silverado Ranch Blvd. We were here on 12/27/2018 at 12 Noon for Lunch and the Buffet has now reopened after a serious renovation. Sorry to say they need a reboot of the prior buffet stations. The food at the stations was warm and not Hot in temperature. Some food was dry and tasteless. The creamed horseradish at the BBQ station has a brown film over the top. The Pizza Station needed a restock, since there was none to be had. The Dessert station cream pies were more whipped topping than filling and the crust was too thick. The roasted chicken was dry and the Turkey was greasy looking. The pork ribs were not hot and the Beef Brisket was dry and overdone. The Oriental Station had more vegetables (about 95%) than meat in their dishes and none of it was hot. They have raised the prices at the Buffet after the renovations but, I see little to no improvement in the food quality. Not worth the money anymore. RATES A RETURN: Not at this time. They need to improve their food quality and serving problems.

Excellent array of food choices

By Brenda S |

Excellent array of tasty food choices on this buffet. Nothing left behind. Especially liked the pork cooked with apples and cinnamon. Bread pudding was exceptional as well. Enjoyed everything we choose to eat. GREAT selection - reasonable price.

Research pays off, what a feast ! 10/15/22

By John P |

The Garden Buffet got rave reviews and was one of the least expensive buffets at $27 for the prime rib and 100 plus selections they offer. We were seated and tended to by a gracious host, who took our drink orders and kept clearing our emptied plates. The prime rib was my focus, and it melted in your mouth. They had 3 cuts to choose from, and were generous with their serving. Beef stroganoff was top notch as well, and sides of delicious mashed potatoes and veggies adorned my full plate with peaches and cream, strawberry shortcake, carrot cake, and dipped custard in white chocolate balls filled me to the brim. I never attempted the salad or the chicken parmesan that was calling me. This was our dinner on our traveling day, and one to remember.

It was worth the Wait and then some. Friday night Sea food buffet

By GuidoC |

First and foremost it's been almost two and a half years since I have visited any Hotel buffets and we all know the reason for that putting that aside after doing some research we decided to go to the South Point Garden buffet. Recommend you get there at least 1 1/2 hours before it opens as there will be a line. The place has a lot of seating so the line does move fast when they open. After that be prepared for a 2 to 3 hour wait. If you are a sea food fan this is the place that will give you satisfaction. Primarily I went there for the crab legs and they had Dungeness crab legs and snow crab legs both hot and cold. There are way to many dishes to also explore there as well as a carving table for Prime rib and baled salmon, five different soups you get two free drinks so beer and wine are served. The service is Fantastic and everyone is on top of their game. The price is $45 per person and $42 with a club card. My wife and were blown away by this buffet to get the same at some other places be prepared to spend Double the price. We will be back again very soon Finally a place to revisit more than once.

Prime Rib & Peel an Eat Shrimp buffet for $18.95 p/person - what a deal!

By Tom O |

Excellent food, we did not find a single item on the buffet that we tried that was not cooked and present nicely. Everything was very good, excellent value, staff took good care of us, frequent refills of drinks, cleaning plates away, etc. We have never been disappointed in this buffet.

Great Value for a Las Vegas Buffet Experience

By Karen E |

Nice variety of foods to choose from. Staff was well-organized and efficient in getting customers seated. The price is perfect for what is offered. This place isn't on the Strip but you should know the locals don't eat anywhere on the Strip.

Dissatisfied

By rkserv2002 |

Checked on for the Friday night buffet at the Garden Buffet at Southpoint Casino in Las Vegas. All sites said crab legs on Friday. We got there and no crab legs. Websites are very misleading. The food we did try was cold and very unappealing. The Health Dept needs to pay them a visit. Don’t waste your money at this buffet. There are many others that are so much better,

Was ok

By zbestbiker |

Had lunch here and it was okay. Lots of choice’s, but not alot that I cared for. Pretty good salad bar though.

I read the reviews....

By Poolboy314 |

We were staying here at the casino and decided to try it out! And it’s not very good just average taste. It was bland! They do have spam and I’m not talking about email! It’s just average!

Friday is Seafood night.

By QueenLorraine |

THE BEST SEAFOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. There are several kinds of food to pick from. The Buffet is clean, colorful and the staff is EXCELLENT. We love it.

Lunch buffet

By Karen C |

Reasonably priced. Large variety. Food is fresh and served nice and hot. Especially enjoyed the various food stations, Asian, Italian, salad bar, BBQ, and scrumptious desserts. Recommend.

High Quality Buffet at a Reasonable Price

By porsche74s |

The South Point Hotel has eleven restaurants in it, and we've enjoyed just about every one of them. We try to avoid the buffet simply because we eat too much every time we go there, it's so good we can't stop eating. It's easy to gain five pounds in a week unless you watch yourself. If you're around the South Point, the Garden Buffet is a good reasonably priced option. You won't leave hungry.

Good Solid Buffet

By ACCChas |

We were pleasantly surprised to find this buffet to be so good. With the discount given to Club members, this is quite affordable. The staff cleaned everywhere quickly and efficiently. The food offerings were almost all good, well presented, and quickly replaced when empty. Asian Italian Mexican choices among others. Only the shrimp were disappointing. The prime rib was melt in your mouth grand (even better than we had at the Wynn buffet).

Garden Buffet at Southpoint Casino

By Josh X |

I would say, the Garden Buffet is the best way to have a happy ending for a las Vegas trip, especially if you are traveling back to California. Garden Buffet is located inside Southpoint casino, free parking ( structure located right side, access to buffet 5-10 mins walking from parking). You can get discount for buffet for two adults with South point casino players card which you enroll inside the casino. All staffs are friendly, and very helpful. Speaking about buffet- lots of variety of food for the brunch. Good seating, friendly chefs…overall great experience. My kids enjoyed it a lot.

If you want good food go elsewhere

By Karen D |

We were in line at 3:30 (and had 100 people in front of us and at least 200 behind us) and were not seated until 5:00. But we met a great local couple and spent the time talking so decided to share a table with them. We were there just for the crab legs as our casino restaurants in Reno were not opened when we left for vacation. They offered two types of crab; Dungeness and snow crab. One had legs that were split and the other was mostly knuckles and claws. The split legs were dried out and so salty they were inedible. The second offering did not taste like sweet crab as we are used to on buffets. It really had no flavor. The prime rib was bland and tough. How hard is it to add some salt and pepper, onion and garlic salt to the roast prior to cooking? Au jus tasted like tainted water, no beefy flavor at all. I then tried the Chili Verde with pork and was disappointed once again. If you are going to advertise it as Chile Verde then make sure it is Chili Verde. The pork was good but it was served in a green watery sauce. Again, cook your sauce with onions, garlic, peppers and cilantro or don't call it Chili Verde. Husband liked the fried shrimp and the crispy scallops (flavor good but way overcooked) but said shrimp sauce was off. The coconut cream pie was very good but the crust itself tasted like cardboard. It is experiences like this that make me see why my husband hates to eat out and prefers my cooking.

Best Value Buffet in Las Vegas

By InvisibleReviews |

I ate the South Point breakfast buffet three times on my August trip and this review is for breakfast only. The Garden Buffet is easily the best value in Las Vegas. I'm sure the $11.95 price is a loss leader, but that brings customers, who are all potential gamblers, in the door. First get a slot club card to get that price. Next, try to eat before 9am and the lines will be nonexistent or very short. Finally, eat on weekdays. Las Vegas used to have lots of buffets like South Point, but now properties have either dropped them entirely or the price is so high it isn't a good value. I've eaten at Wynn and I can't eat $70.00 worth of food. The Garden Buffet has all the basics: bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes, french toast, omelet station, hash browns, fresh fruit, doughnuts and many others. The best part is the exceptional value. This is an old-school Las Vegas buffet. Doesn't try to impress with food options I can't pronouce or looking at it and trying to figure out just what's in the dish. You will definitely get your money's worth there.

Not Tasty; Poor Value for the Cost

By boca m |

We went on a Friday night for the Seafood Special. The best I can say about the quality is that it was food, just food, just calories. Nothing that tasty. My guest offered that the shrimp were way too small; like a 200-300 count to the lb; he laughed at them; and not that tasty. He didn't thing much of the other seafood items' not that tasty. We booth had prime rib; not tasty either; I didn't both finishing mine. I did find that the beef in wine sauce was tasty; the tastiest thing I had from the buffet. I also thought the small pieces of carrot cake were very tasty. This was a quantity buffet not a quality buffet; at like 55 per person it was NOT worth it in terms of quality. I would not go back, nor do I recommend it.

Great for breakfast buffets!

By cherylcU2947FH |

The Garden Buffet is fantastic especially for breakfast, they are very friendly and helpful and do spoil you as well!

Not very good food or variety

By Billie R |

Like the title reads...there were very much variety in food and not very good food at all. Very disappointing at best. Only bright spot was our server. He was awesome and attentive. It was a reasonably priced buffet compared to the strip but you get what you pay for.

Great Price & Selection

By Taneisha S |

Came directly here for lunch after flying into Vegas. Definitely get the club card to save a few dollars. For only $12.95 for a buffet lunch, you can’t go wrong. The selection of food was great and fresh. A few items were warm and a little dry but overall not bad for the cost. We attempted to come on Friday night for the seafood buffet and was met with a 3-hour wait and at least 300 people in line. Will visit again but only during breakfast or lunch for the wait for dinner is not worth it here or anywhere.

This is a wonderful Buffett

By BobbyB143 |

We ate here many times during our stay at the property. Great table service even though its help yourself. Price was very reasonable. Make sure to tip your Wait Staff !!!!!!!

Prime rib racist carver

By DayTrip37954683459 |

After spending $500 playing at the casino, on September 3, 2025 I went to Garden buffet to have dinner. At around 4:00 PM went to the Prime Rib station to get a steak. The prime rib carver gave the person before me a 1 inch thick prime rib. when it was my turn he looked at me then sliced less 1/4 inch thin of prime rib and put it on my plate. It's obvious the carver was RACIST because looking at me as an Asian person he decided that I don't deserved him serving me properly. I decided not to eat the meat since it was like a paper, difficult to slice and not appetizing. I hope the casino FIRE this RACIST person as he doesn't deserve to be interacting with people of various races going to the casino. The server was a RACIST Caucasian..

Good Eats, Great Price!

By Abagayle A |

The food variety at this Buffet was amazing. I love how the sections are divided into different nationality food booths. So international. This buffet is one of the cleanest I have been to in a very long time. I watch how utensils that the public used were constantly being changed out. Food was kept fresh and constantly being monitored by their cooking staff. I don't even like buffets but this was a last minute choice and when in Rome... The staff was extremely courteous and very helpful, attentive and informative. Food was very good and I have to say that I will no doubt visit this buffet again.

Price good but food is just okay

By Markb |

The breakfast buffet was okay but nothing special. The diner was better with good variety. The service was very good.

Need new management

By Tim |

I went to this restaurant about 10 years ago and it was good. The buffet was great. I went recently and it was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I went to the breakfast buffet right when they opened. I took about 5 bites of food and was so disgusted I just walked out. The eggs smelled and tasted completely rotten. The bacon was paper thin yet somehow they still managed to undercook it (probably because it was going to sit under the heat lamps for hours). The sausage links were just mini hot dogs. The pastries looked like they had sat under those lamps for days (Remember, got here when it opened), even the fruit was mealy and had no flavor. Whatever happened to this place is a tragedy, but it was completely inedible, and I'm not picky. I cant believe South Point lets this place operate under it's roof, it's that bad. I'd rather they charge me more than try to serve me the garbage they put out for this buffet. Do yourself a favor, avoid the breakfast buffet, you've been warned.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

By Alan N |

Excellent price for a buffet. Just shy of $17 for lunch. Thai noodles, pizza, Fajitas, Chicken soup, Chinese ribs, pork roll and Swedish meatballs were the best. Average was Cajun Creole Salmon, and Baked Cod. Below average were the ribs and brisket. Bland and no flavor. Full desert and salad station available but I usually stay away from those areas. They had shrimp but no crab legs or lobster. Spaghetti and meatloaf as well as chicken cacciatore were some of the dishes I did not have a chance to eat. I’d come back simply because of the price and you are bound to find several items above average.

Seafood night

By Diane H |

Let’s first say that I am not fond of buffets. Mediocre food, waiting in lines just isn’t my thing. This buffet at Southpoint met my expectations. The crab legs were ok, oysters were sad and really not much else besides shrimp (standard on most buffets) and salmon. Chicken was extremely dry and prime rib was flavorless.

Sunday brunch

By mandak0609 |

We had brunch here before heading back to the airport. The food was flavorful and the choices were wonderful. We liked how the had a variety of food from different cultures to chose from. The price was also very reasonable

Good Price and Selection

By iowaloves2travel |

I came at lunch time. There were quite a few options for Asian, Mexican, and Italian. The food was pretty basic. I would have liked to see crab rangoons on the Asian or even white rice, Egg Drop soup. They did have some excellent noodles that were lo mein and some spring rolls. The mexican section had taco meat and chips and toppings some beans. The italian section could have had meatballs. Overall just adding a few more items would have made sense on those areas. The selections were plentiful though and for the price I definitely got my money's worth. The staff were quick to refill drinks. I would eat here again. There was a line to get in, but it moved quickly. The desserts were excellent with lots of choices. I would have liked to have the hand sanitizer machines filled. They were available in line and throughout the restaurant but all were empty.

Very nice buffet

By Vosje59 |

Very nice seating area. A lot of choices. Everything is freshly prepared. Very well maintained and clean. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely come back. Price is very reasonable.

Consistently Good Food...

By DJKen Heath |

Had brunch; the lox were fresh, good blintzes, the omelette very well prepared, the prime rib was amazing. Good variety and kept up nicely (nothing looked stale or old). We used the guest coupons for 50% off which made it even more enjoyable! Had to ask for coffee refills.

Buffet on a player's card

By Bill L |

This buffet is very good with something for everyone. Best prices are with player's card. Everything is very good here across the board.

First time in Vegas

By JesseR |

We arrived in Vegas late on Saturday night and were staying at Southpointe. Not knowing the area at all we decided to eat at the Casino. Good choice. There are several restaurants but The Garden Buffet caught our eye. The food was good, and plentiful and the price was reasonable.

Greatly Improved Buffet

By mikempink |

Was not impressed with the breakfast buffet at South Point in the past but they have made significant improvements. First they have bottomless Bloody Mary's, Monday through Friday. They have also spread out the number of places that you can get basic breakfast item (eggs, bacon, potatoes, etc.) so their are no lines for popular items and they have two omlet stations, what a concept! Lots of other breakfast items including lots of fruit selections. They also have menudo and it is excellent. Full desert and ice cream station. They also serve Douwe Egberts coffee which is sensational. If you love coffee, this is your cup. All this for $10, well worth a trip down the Strip.

A good value

By Jean B |

A nice variety of food. Omelette station in the am. Good service, although no diet soda without caffeine. Real ice cream.

Large Selection

By Jim K |

Very large selection of Breakfast items and all I tried were excellent. Good promotions. Opened at 7AM which I tought was a little late but you can pass the waiting time by playing the casino a few feet away. Excellent Service.

Good Food, Friendly Staff

By DadTraveler |

At the time I am writing this review this buffet is one of only two casino buffets open in all of Las Vegas. The staff serves you whatever size portion of each item you would like. There are a few items specifically dessert that are already plated for you to grab yourself. The staff on the Tuesday night we went was very friendly and helpful. They had very good prime rib au jus and peel and eat shrimp. The quality of these two items was better than you would expect for an inexpensive/moderately priced buffet. We paid $18.95 with the Southpoint Players Card (saves you $4.00 for 2 at the buffet.) I tried the meatballs, caesar salad, bowtie pasta with marinara, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and the bbq pork, I would say it ranged from decent to very good but nothing was bad. The desserts were very good including better than average gelato. The buffet stations are kept very clean and the table service was prompt. It is definetely worth it if you love buffets during this time that so many are still closed.

Decent value for price

By stitcher1951 |

We’ve eaten at the Coronado Cafe in Southpoint and enjoyed our meal there but this time we decided to try the Garden Buffet This breakfast buffet is very reasonably priced at $9.95 with a club card They have a great variety of food to choose from and it appeared to be fresh. I ordered a made to order omelet and it was very good. I chose pineapple and strawberries to go along with it. I decided to go back and get a spoonful of hashbrowns and a pancake. The hashbrowns were on the dry side and the pancake was barely warm. Im sure i could have got the pancake replaced but i decided i was full after a couple bites If you are a person who likes a little bit of several things, you will enjoy this buffet. It is a pretty good spread for $10!!!!

NOT GOOD. The reviews are wrong!

By surfercharlie |

We drove from the Strip to Southpoint specifically to try the Garden Buffet for dinner. It's a bit of a drive - about a half hour, but the reviews were excellent and buffets are suddenly scarce in Vegas, so we decided to give it a try. It was HORRIBLE!!! The food was bad. Really bad. Cold, old, tasteless. The fish options were all rubbery and the whitefish was half raw. The carving station meats were tough, grisly, and tasteless. I had a slice of prime rib that was about 80% fat. The meaty part was tasteless and not even the au jus could help it. The fried chicken was dry. The mongolian grill was a great idea, and I was excited to try it but the guy who cooked my order was RUDE. The choices for the grill were few and the sauces were so watered down by the cook shooting streams of water on it for steam, that it lost all flavor. The desserts were standard, prepackaged like most buffets. Nothing special. Nothing good. There was absolutely nothing about this buffet that was appealing. We paid about $55 for two people (with the players card) for weekday dinner. I would rate this one the worst in Vegas. By far.

Worth The Price of Admission

By mjbbg572 |

During my two separate stays at South Point, I ate at the Garden Buffet many times. I found the prices to be very reasonable especially if you are a Club Card member. Breakfast was only $5.39 with the Club Card discount plus another 50% off thanks to the coupon booklets I received at check-in. Prime Rib dinner cost $21.62 and the Friday night special Seafood Buffet featuring crab legs, oysters, shrimp, Prime Rib, two alcoholic beverages, and lots of other delicious items was only $32.46. Can’t find prices like this anywhere else on the strip! The Garden Buffet was clean and well maintained. I very much liked that the buffet was staff served and I hope it will continue to be when the pandemic is over. The food was well prepared and delicious. Get there early for the Friday Seafood Buffet as the line gets very long. I waited over an hour before finally being seated. But it was worth the wait. I am sure I will be eating here many more times in the future.

Enjoyed

By Nod S |

The buffet was quite good. The selection was large. Everything I tasted, I enjoyed. And actually I found the marinara sauce, to be excellent. Surprised me.

Breakfast buffet x 2

We were staying nearby so we took advantage of the favorable pricing that was combined with either coupons or the Monday senior points 50% off discount on two mornings. Included in our and possibly your weekday buffet experience are free bloody Marys of which we each had each enjoyed one. Our initial plates combined an assortment of fruit along with yogurt and typically preceded plates #2. These included perfectly cooked easy over eggs though the same individual will be happy to cook you an omelet with a variety of fixins. Breakfast potato offering should not be, and weren't, ignored as I enjoyed hash browns, O'Brien potatoes, and Lyonnaise potatoes though not on the same day. Sampling at the various stations is deemed de riguer so my second plates were filled with an assortment of treats including mushrooms, spinach, bacon, beef sausage and corned beef hash. There happened to be a third plate, one that included a mouth watering portion of chocolate cake, a warm bread pudding with vanilla sauce and, god and my cardiologist forgive me, more bacon.

Nasty

We went here because the reviews were great. Absolutely upset flavorless and just blah. Only good thing was us leaving and making my money back on the slots.

Dungeness crab awesome, everything else failed.

Crab was awesome, prawns a bit mushy, the prime rib and ribs were way too smoky, salads was a disappointment and the desserts were a total failure.

Great Staff !!!

By ClassicCouple |

Our first buffet since the beginning of the Pandemic. We tried the lunch and hopefully can go for the dinner sometime soon. The price was reasonable and the selections were many . The quality of the food wasn't really that great but the service staff was exceptional. Some of the meats were very dry and the little charcuterie plate tasted as if was cut last week especially the salami. Carlos the cook helped us more than once in navigating the little items we thought might not be available. Great very cordial Service Carlos .Thanks. We are looking forward to the Prime Rib dinner with the Shrimp Cocktail that was also very good.

Very delicious

It was very delicious, they had a ton of variety, and it was all good. I had a ton of different foods on my plate. Service was also very good. I was sitting by ma boy John when a server came and gave me more lemonade.

Great food & excellent value!

I must admit that going to a buffet in Vegas is a guilty pleasure and this place is just about as good as it gets! You just can't beat it for value and variety.

Thanksgiving Brunch

By 2013TravelinFool |

One of the lesser costs for Thanksgiving in Las Vegas, $35 a piece BUT WAS OVERPRICED! Arrived about 10 AM, a small waiting line, sat at a booth, very nice staff HOWEVER the food was at best lukewarm. Was not overly impressed with the selection and wish we would have gone to a sit down restaurant instead!!!! Will not return to their buffet.
