Charming, little restaurant with speakeasy feel in the back. Live music and cute atmosphere. Work a stop if you're staying in the hotel. We got a kick out of it! Definitely sit in the back by the piano. Also, it's kid friendly, we had our 2 year old with us and he sat up by the piano and sang some Christmas carols with the pianist.

Steak house with prohibition era decor. Servers had way too much cleavage showing. After our meal we waited and waited and waited and had to go hunt our server down to bring us our bill. Food was good but overpriced. Heard the rack of lamb was really good.

I found the steak to be overpriced, but extremely good. The service was perfect, attentive but not overbearing. If you are going, be aware the uniforms the girls wear are a little out of the norm. Make sure it is appropriate for you group.

The Club will sit you back in time and take you to a far different location and that is not a bad thing. We had an excellent waitress who was very professional and attentive to our needs. My wife and I started with drinks and an appetizer of fried calamari which was served just after the drinks and were excellent we both order our entrees of Veal Marsala and a Chicken Caesar and they were served soon after the completion of our calamari and both were very good. The service was great and the food was better then I was expecting we will eat their again when possible.

If you are at O'Hare Airport, Chicago, must stop for a Classically fine dinning experience. Somewhat high end restaurant, I would say lavish, but it is worth to pamper oneself once a while. Want to strike a deal with a client, while on the move through Chicago International airport - be there. The airport restaurants are really crowded, specially during peak hours - you got to stand in queue for at-least 15-20 minutes, getting a place to sit is another challenge, therefore go to Gaslight. Gaslight a dimmed light restaurant and hostesses to lighten your eyes.

This is conveniently located in the Hilton, a short walk form Chicago O'Hare. The Gaslight is a throw back to old Chicago, and has some tremendous fittings from the bar to the chandelier. The food is good, but a bit pricey. The service is great The piano and entertainment is a great touch

Ok this place may not be for everyone with it's Gatsby style of decor and server atire. But, the food was pretty good and there was nice live piano music. Great selection on the wine list and the food was a bit pricey, but not bad considering the location. Great service!

The Gaslight Club is an old, family owned restaurant on the property of the O'Hare Hilton in Chicago. It's a classic old steakhouse, and intentionally invokes the burlesque era. (You're in the home city of Hugh Hefner, remember!) There are plenty of different seating options, including a small semi-private room right at the entrance; comfortable booths; and a seating area around the bar with a piano and live entertainment. The waiters are all wearing formal attire -- tuxedoes without the jackets. The waitresses are, well, the reason for the oooo la la title. They are attired in stereotypical burlesque outfits: one piece outfits that offer an obvious yet respectable amount of cleavage, with fishnet stockings and not too much lace or frills. The decor is very reminiscent of the burlesque days, with an emphasis (not terribly heavy) on deep, plush reds, as you would expect. Beyond that, there's food! It's a steakhouse, of course. I had scallops in bacon butter sauce for my appetizer, and they were delicious! The scallops were cooked perfectly: tender, flavorful, and oh so tasty. And the steak? Melt-in-your-mouth tender! I always order medium, and it's interesting these days to see what that means to the chef. In this case, I would have called what I got much closer to medium rare; the inside of the steak wasn't pink, but much closer to red. Nonetheless, it was very, very tasty. The wine list is nice, and they have a good complement of other drinks, including some lovely ports for dessert. If you're at the O'Hare Hilton, this is a fun evening!

Read the reviews which nicely articulate the history of the Gaslight Clubs and you'll appreciate the charm and history of this restaurant. With our flight cancelled, we decided to just walk across the street and stay at the Hilton and we wandered down to the Gaslight....not knowing it even existed. My husband is a history buff and we love the occasional supper club restaurant we infrequently find and enjoyed ourselves and our meal. I had the bone in filet which was cooked perfectly and my husband had seafood pasta....and he asked for a special sauce and they were very accommodating. We found the service to be excellent and we loved hearing about the history of the Gaslight Clubs around the world from the maitre d'. We asked for a booth and they offered us the large booth overlooking the kitchen and enjoyed watching all the meals being prepared!! The live music was just lovely-an excellent piano player. There is nothing sleazy about the restaurant....it is what it is!! An adorable and charming historical supper club with friendly service and good food. If you want a typical steakhouse experience, take a cab to Morton's. We will definitely go back with friends even if we aren't traveling just to enjoy a part of history!!!

The food was very good for a hotel. I suggest the salmon. Waitresses were dressed in period costume. My wife objected, but I had no problem.

Gourmet restaurant with a speakeasy 1920's theme complete with costumed waitresses & piano music. The food is as good as you can get cooked perfectly.

I found this gem while staying at the Hilton hotel. After hectic days of traveling, I was thrilled to find this cozy and classic ambience with amazing food and service! I also loved seeing the piano player in the evening!

I usually stop in here when I am passing through ORD. This time, I was disappointed with the food. The service was just OK, the music was good but the food was just average. I always order my own combination rather than order off the menu, I like that you can do that here. This time the veal cutlet was greasy and without any taste and the pasta sauce was bland. I'm not sure if they have a new chef or not but I was sad to see this deterioration in food quality. I'll give it one more chance before I give up.

Dressed for travel I was asked if I wanted bar? No so a booth near hall entrance. Expensive but tuna dinner was different taste for me. Got sauce on side, didn't like it at all. Waitress not Hilton quality, saw me put on jacket and came over to finally ask if anything else or dessert menu? Bus boy was on the spot to take dirty plate.

Appeared to be an old fashion mens club, I was at first put off by the skimping atire on the servers, but soon saw it was a costume that fit the venue. Im a single woman traveling alone, but was comfortable here. Great meal, good selection of wines.

the stuff were highly adorable, there is a woman works there I forgot her name but never forget her smiles, she was so nice and the sincerity in her job. we ordered salmon and it was tasty, the appetisers was cool. the place was really lovely, warm, and peace. the selection of music was nice.

As we often stay at the Hilton O'Hare Airport inn, we have dined at the Gaslight Club often, over the years. Some items on the menu (calamari app. for instance) are very good for "hotel food," but then the kitchen can drop the ball too much for other dishes. Now, we have never had a bad meal there, but usually comment on what could have made each dish better. The wine list is limited, but there ARE some nice offerings, like the Louis Latour Montrachet. OK, it is not cheap, especially for a Chardonnay, but nice with seafood. I know that the Gaslight Club is working on a "theme," but I would love a bit more light, over the table. There is a bar, and we now have learned to ask for seating away from it. The performers are good, but the noise level is a bit too much for quiet conversation. By moving toward the entrance, and off the main hallway, things DO quiet down. Now, based on other "hotel food," much of that in the Hilton lineup, Gaslight Club is quite good, but with a few tweaks, could be better. At least there IS a fine-dining option at the Hilton O'Hare Airport inn, and I would have killed for the Gaslight Club at the CDG Hilton Airport inn, a few months back!

Usually, after a day of flying (and, especially, after having had to get up at 3 am), we are completely exhausted, and do not go out for dinner. However, this restaurant seemed so special, with so many of our favorite foods on the menu, that we just had to go try it out. And, we were so glad we did, even though we could not even get halfway through the generous portions. There is so much atmosphere here, and, it is very aptly named. We sat in a cozy booth, which was closed off on three sides, so like being in a little room. Live background music was coming from the bar area. The restaurant appeared to be almost full, and tables were properly spaced apart. Warm, exceptionally delicious, bread was brought to the table immediately. The fresh butter just melted on it. We find such bread irresistible, and, often, our downfall, as we just cannot resist eating it. My husband had the “Wienerschnitzel”, and I had the “Veal Marsala”. Both dishes were so flavorful, and my veal was covered with the most delicious wild mushrooms. We, also, ordered a bottle of wine, which we could not finish, so we took it upstairs, thinking about drinking it as a nightcap. However, that did not work out, as we were so tired, and the wine had made us so sleepy, who needed a nightcap? The service was professional, and the person, who seemed to be either the manager or owner, made the rounds, checking on everything and everyone. He, also, opened the wine. It was a wonderful evening.

We ate here during an unexpected stay at the O’Hare Hilton. The food and service was quite good. There was a pianist playing that night too. It gave us the relaxing evening we needed.

Service was good, just service, don't expect more than order, bring the order, take the dishes and bring the check. Ambiance is disturbing because you don't know what they want to accomplished: burlesque? Steak house? Piano bar? Fine dining? Plus they make the beautiful servers wear this bunny ranch outfits perhaps trying to make the "theme" ( if any) work. But again we were there to have a nice meal that didn't happen. Bread was old from yesterday old, butter was rock solid cut from a stick, salads more watery than crispy, entree were worst. Steak house, fine dining are heavy adjectives in the restaurant business, to market themselves as such you must have a meal that fits the name and the service.

I eat here every time I stay. The bread and butter is amazing! The French onion soup is tasty, the double baked potato is the best I have had, and the angel hair caprese is awesome! The service is impressive!

Ordered the fried calamari, Gaslight steak (bone in ribeye, rare) with side of mashed potatoes, and lemon sorbet. The calamari were cooked well and the portion was good, but the breading lacked seasoning. The steak was extremely disappointing for the price ($64). It was closer to the medium end of medium rare, chewy, and underseasoned. The steak was very difficult to cut through. The meat quality was poor - a ribeye should have more marbling than what was served. The au jus was flavorful but globby, needed to ask for more to stomach the steak. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box, and there was some strange cream taste almost like ranch dressing, which sounds like it could be good but it was not. The sorbet was decent but uneven texture (icy in some places, smooth in others). Not worth the price here in my opinion.

Very disappointed with waitress service, which was perfunctory and very unfriendly. In addition, bill was just put on table, no "thank you" or other courtesies. Veal was rather tough.

Growing up in Chicago I remember the Gaslight club downtown, now there is one at O'Hare, vert cool. Bar is always welcoming. food is great and ambiance is quiet and unassuming. Some nights they have entertainment which is great too!

We discovered this restaurant on a previous stay at the Hilton, but we had already eaten so made a note to try it on our next visit. Well, I'm glad we tried it, but we won't return. It's an interesting, old world type of place with a few red leather booths in a wood panelled hallway before you enter a large bar/dining area. We chose to sit in one of the booths which was rather pleasant. I was taken aback a bit by the waitress. I thought I was in Las Vegas for a moment. Fishnet stockings, plunging bustiere, tight clothes... Just seemed odd. In fact, my husband and I laughed a little as it was so unexpected. I ordered the gaslight salad, which was basically iceberg lettuce and two slices of tomato. It was soaked in blue cheese dressing, which my taste buds loved but my waistline did not. The biggest disappointment was my cheese ravioli. It was a mediocre dish of cheese ravioli smothered in what tasted like something out of a jar of Ragu sauce. My husband however thought his Caesar salad and filet mignon were alright. Here's the thing though, the bill before tip was just shy of $120 (we did order a martini and a beer). For that price, it does not compare in the slightest with other restaurants in a similar price range. My pasta was a bit like the $5 canteen special. Maybe a fun place for a drink.

Nice place, food is good. . No many options when staying at an airport. Service is good. Prices are between 20-30 per person. Bevarages $8.00 for a beer

To date, we have probably dined at the Gaslight Club, in the Hilton O’Hare Airport a dozen times. We stay at that inn, when we have meetings that run late in town, and have early flights the next morning. In this case, my wife had a meeting AT the Gaslight Club, before we left the next morning (later, than usual) for meetings in Buffalo, NY. We know the layout, and the drill, and requested a table off to the side, from the bar area, as the performers can get a bit loud. Our request was granted. We were in a smallish dining room, to the right, as one enters from the host/hostess stand. It was perfect, though we could have used a bit more light, directly over the table. A quibble that I see I had in an earlier review. OK, the Gaslight Club is a themed restaurant, and works to retain that – harkening back to an earlier era, which is fine. While not a fan of “theme restaurants,” in general, the Gaslight Club does not bother me in any way, so long as the wines and food are up to par. I started our small group with the Michel Picard Chassagne-Montrachet. Not so much because I feel that Picard is a better producer/négociant, than Louis Jadot, who has a Puligny-Montrachet on the list, or that I like Chassagne-Montrachet better than a Puligny-Montrachet, but because we had done the Latour too often recently, as the only white Burgundy on too many wine lists. It was good, but could have benefitted from much better stemware. Such is life. We did the Fried Calamari - “lightly breaded and deep fried, w/ Gaslight’s signature marinara sauce,” which has always been good for us. Obviously, as squid are not indigenous to Lake Michigan, these are frozen, but Gaslight manages to elevate this dish. While not the best, it is very good. I added the Onion Soup, while wife ordered a Caesar Salad w/ Gaslight’s signature Caesar dressing, tossed with Romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese and croutons. Quite good, but awfully large! The Onion Soup needed more heft, but was good. Our Main Courses were: Grilled Tuna w/ grilled tomatoes, asparagus and a lemon-caper sauce - quite good Wiener Schnitzel, sautéed in butter and lemon w/ green beans almandine. Both were good, and we have had both, over the years. Some day, we need to try the “From Our Grill,” as Gaslight is more of a “steakhouse,” and we should put them to the test. I ordered the Hartford Lands Edge Sonoma Pinot Noir, trying to split the difference with the Mains. It worked fine. I was glad to see the wine list expanded a bit, though it is still short, and narrow – but it works. Service was good, as usual, and the “costumes” of the waitstaff did not bother any of us. The dinner meeting was successful, and being seated in a quieter area was a real plus. Now, if they would only add a bit of “task lighting” over the tables... Oh, and I think that I called this restaurant “The GasLAMP Club,” in my Hilton O’Hare review. My bad, and I should know better. Another good meal, at the Chicago Hilton O’Hare, and we will likely return in the Autumn, if my wife’s schedule holds.

Enjoyed dinner here while staying at the Hilton the night before our flight. Friendly staff, great cocktails and food, beautiful waitresses dressed like the Gaslight Club of 50' and 60's. A little pricey but all in all, not bad.

This was a surprising find. You would expect restaurants at airport hotels to be uninspired and not unique. This one is very distinctive- seems like an old school place in the middle of the city. Once you are in the restaurant you can forget you are at the airport. Dark, old timey decor. The waitresses wear these throwback outfits (a bit skimpy but nothing to be offended over). The food was uniformly good- not off the charts but overall quite good. And it came very quickly- sometimes when food comes too quickly I get concerned that it has been sitting under a hot light for hours, but that wasn't the case. They were just very efficient. If you are at the hotel for an overnight and want to forget that you're in the middle of traveling, this will be a good way to step away from the whole airport/transit feel and forget about it for a little while.

What a hidden Gem, old school history, Great service & food! Ray the owner, knows what customer service is! Vintage art work, finely decorated, bathrooms are very clean! & well kept! Not our first time dining at the Gaslight. Lub! Will always make it a stop! Great job!

There's so much that's tacky about the O'Hare Hilton. At least the Gaslight Club's tackiness is ironic and charming. Although if I were a female business traveler, i probably wouldn't find it charming. The older women in the bar stuffed into lingerie shaking their martini shakers in your face are so cute and goofy, they make the bar area pretty fun. Especially when they do weird torch singer versions of contemporary songs on the piano. On the other hand, the flirty young Ukrainian servers in ill-fitting bustiers aren't really ironic, which makes them less charming and makes you a little uncomfortable. The atmosphere is crushed velvet early 20th century whorehouse. It just seems very dusty, which isn't great for food service. The dining room had some weird/garish lighting, as opposed to the very dark bar area. It seemed like a half-assed art deco supper club where everybody kind of gave up in 1983. The food was fine. I had a tuna steak which as too thin, but they still managed to keep it pretty rare. It was pretty tasty but I was glad I got the lemon caper sauce on the side, as it was really oily. Tomato salad was pretty good. The dressing seemed a little wishbone zesty italian but they didn't overdo it. The tomatoes were pretty good for a restaurant. not great. The bread and butter was honestly the best part of the meal. the chocolate dessert was bland and awful. Which is fine, because i didn't really want dessert anyway. They need a better beer selection, too. Overall, given your expectations when you go to a place like this, you can't really be disappointed. You're in an airport. If you want a fine dining experience, get out of the airport. If you are a woman or you have a family, you may not have as OK an experience as I did.

Our first time to the Gaslight Club as we met friends here before an evening flight to the UK. The ambiance was great, the service stellar, and the food (while fairly expensive), was very good. I do not remember our server's name (sorry), but she was attentive without being intrusive. Also, Ray was instrumental in handling all of my pre-dinner reservation questions. All in all, a solid experience in fine dining within a short walk to check in @ ORD.

The food options are good, the service is impeccable. The cocktails are traditional and match prohibition style drinks. The environment is relaxing but still holds a fine dining feel.

My wife and I ate at this cozy restaurant nestled at one end of the Hilton O'Hare Airport Hotel. Big roomy booths; great service; warm bread; tasty wine; and, wonderful menu. We had the grilled tuna and it was done just right.

I spend 50+ nights each year in a hotel, so I get to sample a lot of hotel restaurants. The Gaslight Club in the Hilton Chicago O'Hare was one of the best hotel restaurants that I have had the fortune of visiting. The atmosphere was very classy. A pianist played music while I dined (though the pianist could have been better, for sure and played short sets in between long breaks). I had the Wiener Schnitzel and it was excellent. It was paired with very tasty green beans. A HOT bread loaf with fresh butter was offered. I had the chocolate mousse for dessert and found it to be good. The drinks I had during my meal, the Malbec, and the Limoncello were both good. Service was friendly throughout the meal. I can't wait to return on my next trip to the Hilton Chicago O'Hare, and I could certainly see myself making an extra effort to go here if not staying at the hotel.

I had a very bad experience in the hotel restaraunt, The Gaslight Club. The manager of the club was both rude and confrontational. An intoxicated customer was causing a scene and the bar tender cut him off and asked him to leave. I later went to the restroom and the intoxicated man was there and began harassing me. The manager came in and removed the intoxicated man but did not apologize for the situation to me. The manager then returned to the bar and chastised the bar tender for cutting him off. After several hours of visiting with the bar tender she told me that her manager had not relieved her for a restroom break for 4 hours. On my next trip to the restroom I asked the manager nicely if he could relieve the nice lady at the bar and complimented her for cutting off the drunk patron. The manager never relieved the bar tender, she had to ask a wait staff for a break. The manager returned to the bar several minutes later and told me that he was angry for making him look bad in front of his boss. The manager was confrontational and was very close to my face. He asked me to leave and I gladly closed out my tab, leaving the bar tender a nice tip. The manager clearly has some anger management issues and is visibly derogatory to his staff, making for an uncomfortable environment.

Just got to love this place. My wife and split the Turkey Panini. We both got plenty to eat and a descent price for being inside of an airport. We also enjoyed some house wine and watched some TV. We were also able to charge our phones. The wait staff was very friendly and fast. I would eat here again when travel through ORD again.

I was at The Hilton for a business meeting. We needed a quick lunch and chose the Gaslight Club because it was not as expensive as the other choices. Once we set foot inside, we realized this is more of a men's club. Our waitress arrived in a bustier type costume which was slightly uncomfortable and very unexpected. The food was average and service was good.

This was truly one of the coolest experiences of my life. The food and drinks were outstanding, expensive but definitely worth it. The service was very attentive, friendly, and professional. The entertainers were AMAZING, I don’t usually like live music, never been a fan, but this was next level & I ended up staying for 4 hours. I will be going out of my way to return here everytime I’m in the area. Everything just blew me away

Fine wine, great steaks---what's not to like? An expensive dinner but always a great meal with outstanding attention to detail and service. Great for a leisurely dinner or a business meeting/meal.

We stayed at the hilton for 2 nights so was very nice to have a steak restaurant in the hotel..... the food was great.. no complaints there.. they have a theme of the women dressing like hookers... the bartenders are in there 70's with there parts hanging out... it was literally disturbing... one of the bartenders who actually got up to sing which was like watching a train wreck... would not leave us alone to talk and wanted to tell us about her miss santa outfit how she has holiday panty's on.. it was disgusting!!!!!! We could literally not believe the scene.. we feel like some of the girls are hookers.. would not be surprised at all.. the men sitting at the bar were all making fun of the girls.. very degrading place..

The restaurant is very old and outdated, it looks like a 1960’s steak house or saloon. The food is awful- I ordered salmon with wild rice- the rice was a white rice and the salmon was very overcooked. There is a couple an out 75+ playing piano and singing old show tunes very out of tune and almost painful to listen to.

I had a one day stay at the Hilton O'Hare Airport, and spotted this restaurant. I got there about 4:30 PM. They open for dinner at 4:00 PM. My service was a little slow, but it could be because they had just opened for dinner and there were few staff there initially. At first my server was the older gentleman who was at the host desk in front. I started to get a little disappointed that my server wasn't a beautiful lady in the "Gaslight" outfit. But within 15 minutes I had a new server. The host explained he was just filling in until my sever was available. My server was indeed a beautiful lady, but she almost seemed a little timid. In that atmosphere and with the history of the club, I would have expected a little more outgoing, "raucous" server? I was seated near the front of the restaurant, away from the bar. I felt a little isolated as there were a few other patrons in the place, but near the bar. I wasn't offered that option. The food was good. I had the Caesar salad and the "Gaslight" steak, which I believe is rib-eye. I ordered it medium. It was a little closer to medium-rare, but not bad. It had a nice crust on it. The baked potato I ordered was just that; a plain baked potato. No offer of sour cream, bacon, etc. The skin was a little soft as if it had been sitting for a while. Personally, I prefer crisp skin on a baked potato. Prices were also a little high for the food. The steak was 47.75, ale carte. Everything was ale carte. Salad was 7.75, my plain baked potato was 5.25. I had a cup of coffee at the end and it was 4.25. My desert of a simple scoop of rum/raison ice cream was 5.75. My total bill was about 90.00. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the cost. I had been to a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse a week ago, and the cost was about the same with much better quality. When you are stuck at the Hilton at the airport, it's a good place to eat. But next time I might explore the other places in the hotel.

A nice change of pace and a great experience overall. The piano player was very fun and the food was good. I had the duck with plum sauce, two glasses of wine, and the tiramisu. It came to about $56. I enjoyed everything and would highly recommend!

Had the salmon! It was amazing! Service was okay. All the women are dressed in '20's slinky dresses and we were all women there and they didn't really see or look at us if we needed something. I probably wouldn't go here again but it was the restaurant in the hotel and it was a company meal. But very good food!

Gentlemens Club to visit in Chicago OHare Hilton... Strictly Adults and No Childrens please .. Leisure for mind and body

This is an update to my review from the previous visit the evening before last. Last night I stopped for a night cap and was very disappointed with the bartender and her service. I ordered a scotch on the Rocks with just a splash of soda and she put barely a short in the glass and filled the glass with soda resulting in a very weak drink. For the man next to me she poured a full glass for the same order. I politely asked her to make a full pour for the next drink but got the same short pour but with less soda. This is one of my favorite places when at O'Hare but it is disappointing to get the same drinks one gets at a chain Resturant with little liquor and s lot of water!

While staying at the Hilton we went to the Gaslight for dinner. The menu items seemed overpriced for similar items at competitors. Moreover, our final bill to be charged to our room was really messed up. It took a day of calls to get it straight. We’ll likely not return to the Gaslight, but the hotel was great.

The loaf of bread they brought, and the tomato salad that I ordered, were delicious. The filet and the twice baked potato was just ok. The potato in particular tasted very overcooked. The service and atmosphere were very nice. They did not have a cocktail or wine by the glass list so you had to just order what you wanted and hope you were ok with the price - which I thought was awkward.

I’ll admit it: airport restaurants are tricky. Many of them fall under false pretenses, promising to offer great chefs & recipes when we know it isn’t possible. This place is a bit off the beaten track since it’s in the airport Hilton, so I thought maybe it wouldn’t succumb to the same fate. To be fair, this is a fun place, with live music and a 1920s feel to it. But if you’re after great food, reset your expectations. Nothing is bad, just not spectacular. For the money, I’d go elsewhere.

I went to pick-up my boyfriend from the airport. I was worried about traffic, so I arrived at O'Hare nearly 2 hours before his flight got in. A gentleman working the shop suggested I head to Gaslight. That was 2 years ago, and now I go every time I'm in Chicago! First of all, the ambiance is amazing. I mean, really - look at photos of the place. Beautiful chandelier - The waitresses are in pseudo-burlesque outfits - The live piano is to die for (I may or may not have done a few numbers with their pianist) - and you just feel so at ease. With all of the bustle of Chicago and airports, this is an ideal oasis between/before/after crazy flights. On my latest visit - this time with my boyfriend - we arrived at the airport a bit early, got our bags checked, and then headed to Gaslight for a drink and great atmosphere. I am in love with the Five Rivers Merlot. It was suggested to me by the waitress 2 years ago, and I really have to make myself try anything else. It's that delicious! My boyfriend got an IPA, suggested by our waitress this visit, and he was very pleased. We also knew it would be a long evening on the plane, so we decided to split a tartufo, which had been recommended on other visits, but I'd never had the time to eat. It's essentially chocolate gelato around a creamed center with toasted hazelnuts and cocoa powder around the gelato. It's AMAZING! Another thing to add to my "regular order" at Glaslight.

Food and ambience were average. Attached to the airport Convenient. Feels like a retro bar Wine selection is limited. Most of the customers are from the hotel.

Good choice if you want a lounge experience in a 30's environment with expensive drinks. I've bought better steaks from my local chain grocery store than the top priced Prime Bone in Rib steak I was served. Whoever thought this could be billed as a fine dining experience has never experienced fine dining! No complaints with the service, but not at the expectation level of fine dining, and the food was meh..

Stopped here for lunch last week after being unexpectedly delayed in Chicago. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this resturant. The decor supposedly is a throw back to the roaring 20’s and prohibition. It’s had an old time feel, but with lots of small cozy booths. My husband commented that he felt like he was in the mob, and that he should have been making a gangster deal in the booth! There is also a really nice bar in an open area that really is reminiscent of the times. Our waitress was Terry, who was absolutely delightful! I actually told my husband that during the visit. She was attentive, made good suggestions, and just really pleasant. The food was great, I think like an authentic Chicago or New York style Italian steakhouse. We started with the pasta fagioli soup, which was really good—not too heavy or overloaded with beans or pasta, although closer to a minestrone soup to me. We had great Caesar salads, the dressing of which was really fresh. One of the best I have had. Simple, but delicious. We each had fillets for our main course, and the steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly! We enjoyed a good bottle of wine during the meal and ended with a yummy dessert. There was actually was a great selection of desserts, including the typical cheesecake but also rum raisin ice cream!!! I appreciate the latter being on the menu! My husband had the chocolate mousse cake and I had some kind of cake with berries that I do not recall the name of, but which I really enjoyed. Yum! Overall, our experience dining here was fantastic! It was really welcomed after long flight delays and a layover in Chicago. Definitely worth seeking out if you are traveling and looking for something good to eat! Shame that Hilton does not have the menu on their website, but you can find it on the “gaslightclubs” webpage. Absolutely delightful!

Food was simply terrible! How in the world they could burn a twice baked potato I have no idea. Only edible thing was the bread and butter. Don't waste your dollars on this place. Go elsewhere. I feel bad panning the restaurant because the server was so, so nice. But we blew $400 on a "nice" family dinner and have nothing good to say about it.

Management needs to make some changes. Located within the Chicago O'Hare Hilton hotel, it is disappointing that management chooses to dress their excellent female waitress staff in floozy outfits. This is totally unacceptable, demeaning to staff, and inappropriate. We asked for the wine menu, by the glass, and were presented with a list with no prices. We had to ask for specific prices on each glass and the waitress later arrived with each price which ranged from $7. to $12. A menu should list prices. Who are you trying to fool. Now for the food. Portions were generous and food prep, presentation and prices were fine, Chef- good job. This could be a good restaurant if management addresses the issues mentioned above.

O'Hare airport doesn't offer much in the way of food for those who are not getting on a plane. I was staying at the O'Hare Hilton to see a friend off who was returning to Germany and we needed a place to eat. She is not into sport's bars and the Italian place in the hotel looked kind of pricey for pasta so we figured we'd give the Gaslight Club a try. This is truly an old school place and it is still reminiscent of what it was "A Gentleman's Club." If women in very skimpy, burlesque costumes are not your thing, then this is not your place. I have to admit that as 2 women traveling together that this place felt awkward to us. It is much more geared to the older men who might be traveling on business. That being said the food was good. I had the veal marsala and although the portions were not huge, they were good enough. This is a pricey place but the quality was good. My fellow traveler enjoyed the fettucine Florentine. I had a rum and Coke and it was a solid drink leaning towards the rum side. In addition to the waitresses's attire, there are what reminded me of Victorian erotica only in painting form on the walls. Lusty ladies decorated the piano area. The night we were there, the piano player was playing and there was a singer who performed everything from What a Wonderful world, to the Gambler. I probably wouldn't go back but it was an experience.

The food was delicious although overpriced. As I looked around to other tables, it seemed like this was a place for business travelers who may have comfortable expense accounts. I ate there as part of a group not actually knowing where we were going. When I saw the way the waitresses were dressed I was appalled. When you go there be prepared for the fact that the dinner and drinks are served by friendly, slender, well-endowed, mostly Eastern European Gaslight Girls wearing extremely low-cut tops, frills covering their backsides, fishnets or nylons, and high-heels. They looked like pictures I've seen of Playboy "bunnies". I felt as if these women were being treated like objects. This is wrong. This is dehumanizing. I know this kind of thing went on decades ago but can't believe it's going on so blatantly today. This needs to be stopped.

We enjoy this restaurant on numerous levels. The ambiance is simply fun. The music is enjoyable, sometimes because it is good and sometimes for the obvious traditional aspect of the music performer. We find the servers earnest and friendly. We also enjoy the food, which, in our experience, is made with care and from good recipes. I definitely recommend this over the alternative in the same hotel.

We went for a quick lunch while staying in the Chicago Hilton O'Hare. The food was tasty, delivered efficiently, and was a decent value. However, being served by a waiter (female) in fishnets and a fringed satin leotard at 11am was just plain odd. The decor is over the top and the boots minimally comfortable, so get a table if you can. The service model was weird, with a jacketed waiter taking the order and overseeing the service being done by the fringed-leotard clad young lady with her ... assets... on full display.

The private room was not elegant. It looked more like a remodeled storage room. Service was average with the impression that the wait staff were relatively new and not fully trained to deal with customers. I ordered the T-Bone which was average.

This was a great little pub, however, the prices for drinks were on the expensive side. Though this was to be expected being that it's in the Hilton and the O'Hare Airport, basically there is no where else to go except for the hotel's other restaurants. I only stayed for one drink, which was poured just right not too strong and yet not too light. The service was fast and friendly, and there was a menu for food for those wanting more than just a drink.

This is located in the Hilton at O'Hare Airport in Chicago. It's a nice transition to step out of the dingy lobby (west side) into what appears to be an early 20th century club. I ate in the lounge, which had a bar and a piano player, not in the restaurant. The menu is kind of standard American, heavy on the steak, plus the usual array of two fish dishes, two chicken dishes, two vegetarian, etc. The steaks come with no sides or salad, so you end up spending 50% more than you think just to get a balanced meal. A variety of wines are available by the glass, and the bar has an array of whiskies, cordials, liqueurs, etc. Service was quick, if a bit indifferent. The waitress was dressed in a bordello-style outfit with fishnet stockings. Note that this place serves meals until pas midnight, which is great for late arrivers. The only con is the prices. I had a single glass of wine and a scotch, with a dessert, and my total bill was over $100.

Fantastic dining experience with the staff dressed up in 20's costumes. The entertainment was very good but, most importantly, the food was exceptional. Best steak I've had in many a year. Highly recommend.

This place is one of the best restaurants you will find in an airport hotel. Great menu, excellent service. Wine list is extensive. There are also some semi-private rooms if you need space to entertain and do business. I will definitely return. Ambiance is great!!

I was recommended to try the Gaslight club and was warned in advance that it had a similar ambience to a gentleman's club in the . In my opinion, this is an old school steakhouse with waitresses dressed out of the movie "Burlesque". There is also a live singer accompanied by a pianist. I had a cocktail and a steak - prices were on the high side but worth it as quality of food was really good. I would recommend coming here for the experience as O'Hare airport isn't known for food options and the Gaslight Club and it does offer an interesting experience versus the other two other restaurants in the Hilton Hotel.

Arrived at the restaurant and bar after disappointing experience at the Sport's Edition restaurant at the opposite end of the hotel. Here the bartender and wait staff were excellent. Menu offered lots of options. French onion soup was excellent. Very nice and quiet place.

Main course came before I was finished with soup. Twice baked potato was cold and $48 steak was barely warm. After I was finished, the server disappeared and took forever to bring check. Russian server was curt and mechanical, not close to trying to be friendly

Gaslight was always a favorite when overnighting in Chicago but the quality of the food is no even worth half the price. The service is sub par for such an establishment. The entertainment is awesome and I always enjoyed having dinner and drinks in the piano room however this is my last visit. On today's visit my mixed greens salad consisted of iceberg lettuce that had been prepped on a plate and sitting in the refrigerator all day. My bone-in filet which was supposed to be rare was cooked well done 1/2" through the entire filet and was as good as aged cardboard. The management doesn't care anymore. They have a captive audience and they know it. Very disappointed and never coming back.

Dinner at the Gaslight Club In August, we were doing another overnight at the Hilton O’Hare Airport Hotel, and I had booked the Gaslight Club for dinner. We had arrived earlier, so had time to unpack, before heading down to eat. We were promptly greeted by a gentleman, with whom we had interacted several times before, and were seated in one of the booths, in the main dining area. I find the lighting in the Gaslight Club to be a bit dim, but many would typify it as “romantic.” Still, I prefer a bit more light, over the table, than what is provided. I had the short wine list quickly, and chose the Louis Latour Puligny-Montrachet ‘15. Unfortunately, it was not available, so I made do with the Hartford Court Land’s End Sonoma Pinot Noir, and the Ferrari-Carano Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. Not sure if the Montrachet will make it back on the wine list, or if this is a permanent change? The stemware was a bit on the industrial side, but adequate for an airport hotel dining room. While short, the wine list does have some nice options. We split an order of the Fried Calamari, which was, as always, quite good, and especially so for being away from an ocean. For the Main Course, I ordered the Grilled Tuna w/ grilled tomatoes, asparagus and a lemon-caper sauce - quite good My wife ordered the Veal Marsala w/ mashed potatoes and mushrooms, which was quite good, tender and flavorful. We ended up taking some of each wine back to the room, for “breakfast,” as our flight out was a bit later in the morning.. Service was very good, and our servers were all masked. On this visit, beyond the gentleman at the front desk, who was also doing the duties as Sommelier, I did not recognize any staff, until the singer (the Lounge is to the rear of where we were seated) walked past. The restaurant is sectioned off, in that there is a dining area, just off of the hostess stand, which has regular tables, booths, and then a “board room” area. On several occasions, my wife has held meetings there, and it has worked well. On this visit, we were in one of the booths. Behind those areas, is a bar, with more table seating, plus a piano, with live music. On this visit, there was almost no one in that lounge/bar area, other than a few folk picking up food to go - a very slow night, but with travel just recommencing, not surprising. It was a very good meal, and a very good visit, even though the French Chardonnay was no longer on the wine list. For a restaurant in an airport Hilton, it is one of the best, that we have encountered, and we will return..

Carol at the bar is awesome. The Meal was excellent. We had seared tuna and Maui Maui. All prepared perfectly. Drinks are great. Service is excellent. The Meal here is outstanding. This is a hidden treasure in the Hilton and worth the visit.

My wife and I were prisoners of O’hare for two nights due to documentation for a foreign trip. Both dinners were in the hotel and the ambience and food at this restaurant was very good and although a bit pricy, not horrible for airport hotels. Menu was varied and service very good. Ranko the host who has been there for many years has directed a team that delivers results. An evening piano player was a good touch.

Food was average and the price was to much. We stayed at the Hilton Chicago O'hare and felt like this would be a good place to eat. The service was excellent but I felt the food could have been better. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was tough and a bit overcooked. The service was excellent and the wait staff are female and underdressed. That is why my husband loved it. It reminded me of a gentlemen club.

We ate here just as we got off an international flight -- in other days, we might have eaten at the hotel bar for hamburgers. Overall the experience was pleasant and reasonable. The restaurant has the appearance of an old-time supper club including the style of the host -- he could easily have stepped out of a 1930's Chicago club. Highly recommend siting in the booths near the entrance. True there is no wine list, but our choices for red wine, malbec and cabernet, were decent. Service was good.

A fairly typical upscale bar and grill type restaurant. Prices weren't too bad and the helping size was generous.

If you like ambiance, character, and are a bit nostalgic about the good old days this is the place for you. Although some things have changed and the times have began to catch up with this grand place, the feeling of intimacy and grandeur still remain. Please remove the color TV from the front wall...no one comes here to watch TV and this is not a sports bar. The food, service, and atmosphere are priceless.

This place was started in 1953. It's now located in the Hilton O'Hare airport hotel and just feels really awkward. It's a 'gentleman's club'. I'm not quite sure what that means but the female servers do (awkwardly) wear burlesque outfits and there are a lot of sleazy looking older men in the worst collection of cheap suits eating and drinking. The food was pretty good and the pianist fantastic. Our server was good, if awkward (although I would be too if I was expected to go to work in little more than a swim suit). This place could really do with a makeover.

I’ve had many to go orders while staying here. The bread and butter is amazing! My go to is always French onion soup, and the angel hair caprese. Always delicious! The bleu cheese wedge is excellent! Service is always great and I highly recommend visiting as the ambiance is a great experience.

Another Nice Meal at the Gaslight Club We stay at the Hilton O’Hare Airport Hotel often, and most often, will dine at the Gaslight Club, in the main lobby. In May, during a one-night stay, to be at ORD Airport, we once more dined at the Gaslight Club. As our flight was a bit delayed, we had called to move our reservation back a bit, and were warmly greeted on the phone, and all necessary arrangements made. I arrived about 7:45pm, so not all that late, and was seated in what has become our “standard booth,” in the linear dining area, before one reaches the bar in the rear of the restaurant. My wife had had to rush to a meeting at Andiamo’s, the other on-property restaurant at the Hilton O’Hare Airport hotel. She soon joined me for dinner in the Gaslight Club. As always, we find the lighting in the Gaslight Club to be a bit dim, but many would typify it as “romantic.” I had the short wine list quickly, and chose the Louis Latour Puligny-Montrachet ‘14. The bottle was at cellar temp, so no ice required. The stemware was industrial, but adequate for an airport hotel dining room. I added the Five Rivers Hopland, California Pinot Noir ‘17. Though the wine list is short, there are a few interesting wines, and for the captive audience of an airport hotel restaurant, the prices are not bad. I ordered the Grilled Tuna w/ grilled tomatoes, asparagus and a lemon-caper sauce - quite good Wiener Schnitzel, sautéed in butter and lemon w/ green beans Amandine, which was quite good, as usual. My wife ordered the Wiener Schnitzel w/ veal cutlet lightly breaded, sautéed in butter and lemon, Served with green beans amandine. While good, the breading was a bit heavy (though the menu states “lightly”), but still tasty. With our wine, we were set. Service was quite good, and I noticed that the uniforms of the servers had changed. They were once red, and what I could call “bawdy-house attire,” but were now black, and not so racy. This change, we were told, was about six months ago, so just after our previous visit. Most of the staff were familiar to us, and some had been at this restaurant for over a decade. The restaurant is sort of fragmented, in that there is a dining area, just off of the hostess stand, which has regular tables, booths, and then a “board room” area. On several occasions, my wife has held meetings there, and it has worked well. On this visit, we were in one of the booths. Behind those areas, is a bar, with more table seating, plus a piano, with live music. In our adjoining room, we could hear the music, but it was in no way obtrusive. I also believe that the pianist has been there, for as long as we have been coming, and maybe even the female singer, who is featured on about half of the songs. We have never dined in that bar area. As mentioned, lighting is a bit dim, though it is brighter in that board room location. In all, a very nice evening, in a restaurant so very convenient to our room, and also to ORD Airport. I cannot imagine that we will not dine there again, when staying at the Hilton O’Hare Airport Hotel.

1920's style. Great food. I had the sword fish. Piano bar along with singer. Waitresses were lovely and polite.

We sat in the piano bar when some folks from the club's past were singing at the piano bar and while they were a bit off key, it was still fun watching them have a great time. There were a lot of patrons sitting around us who'd made the place a part of their lives for so many years, all of which added to the charm. There is a lot of history in this place and I hope it remains forever. We were just there for drinks but really found it to be a unique gem in the hotel.

We stayed at the Hilton O'Hare and it was convenient to access this restaurant. Although a bit dated in decor, it was expertly staffed. Meals were good and we enjoyed the options available on the wine list. Would visit again.

Transported to the 1920s, with the wonderfully attentive Carole at the bar. Spent a delightful night here before an early flight back to London. Entertained by the cabaret and well looked after by Carole. Scallops with bacon worth a try and the whisky sours not to be missed! Thanks again. Happy holidays!

We had a group business dinner here the other night. There were about 30 in our group so we ate in the private dining room which wasn't the greatest room. The front of the restaurant is very cool , the back not so much. Our service was very good and my steak was quite good. The restaurant is very expensive for what you get in my view. Everything is ala carte so with the steak, salad and side it was about $75 not including drinks or dessert. There are too many other restaurants in Chicago that I'd rather spend my money on.

I have eaten at The Gaslight Club many times over the years. The food is consistently good as is the service. The atmosphere is that of a Chicago gin joint. If we are overnighting at the O'Hare Hilton, it is your best eating option.

The Gaslight Club used to be a private club that required members to provide a special key to get in. Decorated as you would expect a speakeasy, back in the days of prohibition, the Gaslight is a treasure that everyone should visit at least once on their way through O'Hare Airport. Located off the lobby of the O'Hare Airport Hilton. Great menu, full bar, friendly staff and a wonderful experience for all.

A great selection of food and my T-Bone was delivered as ordered and it is one of the best I have eaten in a while...Desserts were not appealing to me but I went for the main course

I loved on Saturday night having a piano bar. It is an establishment that has been there for a long time and if feels that way. In some ways that is great and others not. The drinks and food are a little expensive but in the mood I was in it was a great place and all the staff wqas very friendly. I had French onion soup which was great and rack of lamb which was good and had a very generous portion. Presentation was not great but the food was good. I liked it.

I was a key holder to the old Gaslight Club in downtown Chicago. Sadly, this is the last remaining club in the country and time seems to have passed it by. Service was only fair at best. I waited at the entrance for a hostess to appear so I could get a table near the bar (which is in the back of the restaurant). I finally started walking toward the back when a waitress said she could help me to a table. The atmosphere is from a bygone era. Burlesque themed waitress outfits, red velvet wallpaper, piano player (The woman playing piano was very good, but people seemed more interested in the Olympics on the TV) are a throwback to a long time ago. It was late so I only had a shrimp cocktail and a beer. The shrimp were good sized but the cocktail sauce was a little bland. From what I saw of others eating, the steaks looked good. I wouldn’t make a special trip from the city to go here for dinner but if you’re in the airport overnight or for a long layover, it’s worth a visit.

Convenient if your staying at the Hilton Ohare or meeting someone at the airport. My wife had the lentil soup, salmon with broccoli and a glass of Malbec. I had the excellent French onion soup, duck breast on spinach and asparagus and rice and a glass of Malbec. Total $110 with tip... no dessert. Down-side: If the skimpy outfits the gals wear and nude paintings on the wall and dark wood atmosphere creeps you out, you might want to go to the Italian place down the lobby at the other end of the hotel.

This is one of the better restaurants and Clubs in a hotel that deserves praise. Service and employees are pleasant and outgoing. Food is excellent; especially the salmon. The ladies in the Gaslight Club bar are outstanding, especially Terri. I stay at this Hilton Hotel the night before leaving for a vacation so I am within walking distance to Ohare Airport and do not have to worry about expressway traffic.

While staying at the Hilton O'Hare, we discovered the Gaslight Club and had a really nice dining experience. The speakeasy theme was relaxing, and the servers' outfits were certainly something you don't see anymore! Delicious french onion soup during a winter storm really hit the spot, and the veal marsala with roast potatoes and mushrooms were amazing. We will definitely return to the Gaslight Club on future stopovers at O'Hare!

A must visit when I’m staying at the airport. The history and music is great. Carol at the bar is always a blast to chat with about the history of the club, and Chicago in general.

This place is funny. May appeal to some, but not me. The waitresses are dressed in super- slutty clothes, and are embarrassing to be served by. Fishnet tights and a skimpy leotard? Really? The food was barely OK. Shrimp underdone. Again, better than an airport kiosk, but really. This is 2015 and the "gentlemans club outfits" are so .... Hmmm. Just wrong.

a feeble attempt at Chicago gangster motif; over priced menu. go off property for better food and value.

I recently enjoyed a top-of-the-line, bone-in filet at the Gaslight Club, one of three restaurants at the O'Hare Hilton. Surrounded by the "Roaring 20's" decor, the food was delicious whilst an extremely loud female bartender barked in the background, competing with a singing pianist. Gaslight Club: stick to the food, please!

Had a business customer coming through O'Hara and need to meet for an evening meeting. We needed someplace quiet where we could discuss business. The Gaslight Club was the place. This is somewhat dated, girls in little outfits and the dark late 50's decor but the food is excellent , the prices are Ok and the service is outstanding. we need a place to hook up out laptops and the manager found us a spot in back with an outlet, and gave us the internet password.. They were very nice and our meeting went well. I highly recommend the Gaslight if your looking for great food, and service along with a quiet spot and it's right at O'Hara.

The atmosphere and wait staff were excellent but you go to a restaurant to eat. All the food, there were 3 of us, we all had different dishes tasted like hot sauce and pepper had been dumped into the sauces, vegetables, and rice. There were no other tastes other then "hot". The spices were so overpowering that you could not taste what you were eating. The prices were very high for the quality of the food--since we are "in the industry" we know. I would choose somewhere else to eat unless you are just having drinks as the atmosphere is very appealing.

This place is 40+ years out of date. The female servers have to wear ridiculous, sexist, and humiliating costumes (fishnet stockings, bustiers, etc.). This made me very uncomfortable and offended my wife. Save your money and your pride as we did: turn around and walk out. Hint: Restaurants at the Hilton O'Hare are a joke. Take the CTA train (station is under the hotel) one stop to Rosemont where all sorts of restaurants are congregated around the convention center.

This is a 20's style lounge / restaurant. The food was good and the portion was large. There was entertainment which really blended the mood and the atmosphere.

I am shocked by the good reviews here. I was over nighting at the Chicago ORD Hilton. The property itself is in desperate need of a refresh, but I was hoping the Gaslight, with it's welcoming sign announcing "Elegant Dining" would be good. Here we go...the waitress uniform is a thong corset thing with fishnets, you get to watch her exposed bum giggle as she walks away. I felt so sorry for her...what a humiliating, offensive outfit. I ordered the house salad and the mahi with rice. The salad was chopped iceberg with a mushy hunk of tomato drenched in bottled dressing. The mahi was brown, yes brown, and very very greasy, the rice was from a box, like Rice O'Roni. The Pinot Noir was expensive, but served in one of those cheap thick dishwasher safe glasses that you buy in bulk at Walmart. Then.....the worst part...the live entertainment. A woman was playing piano and singing so off key that it was impossible to stay and enjoy the rest of my wine. I am not exaggerating here. Have you ever seen those auditions on American Idol that they broadcast as kind of joke to show the really untalented singers off as a goof....it was like that. As I was leaving I mentioned to the host that I was leaving early and taking the rest of my wine to my room because the singer's voice was so bad I couldn't sit there. He said he thought so too, and another patron who was leaving overheard and said "she's terrible." So, this was, Not So Elegant Dining.

If you're staying at the Hilton and want to decide between the two restaurants, eat here. The pasta with the sun dried tomatoes was delicious. This restaurant is more reasonably priced, too.

I've been to this restaurant a few times. It is a hidden gem at the airport tucked into the corner of the Hilton lobby. I've taken clients here over the years and we have always been amazed at the food and the service. I recommend the Gaslight steak or the Lamb. Both are wonderful! The piano bar is the perfect place to relax after dinner. The room is very cozy under the beautiful chandelier. The servers are beautiful in their costumes that are made to look like 19th century French-cut velvet corsets. I recommend this place as an excellent place to relax over a great dinner, music and cocktails. Enjoy!

Fairly small, reasonably upscale, roaring twenties classical style, Tiffany Lamps, ornate furnishings, waitress’s dressed like the Moulin Rouge, steak and fish menu, F Sinatra, Loui Prima and similar music piped in. Aptly named, consistently applied. Prices and service reasonable for the quality. Would certainly recommend.

I came into this restraunt unsure of how I would be received..but pleasantly surprised when met with the warmth and welcoming of Ray at the front desk, who then was so generous in offering me a tour and a history of this amazing restraunt and his past forty plus years working there. The waitresses were both attractive and attentive and the food was delicious and I highly recommend their french onion soup and to definitely ask to hear the rich history of this establishment.

After reading some reviews we were a little skeptical. But so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious. Had the scallops that were cooked to perfection. Then the wedge salad was a great size. It also had plenty of dressing so if you don’t like a lot you might want to ask for light dressing. Then went with the steaks. They were cooked to the ordered temperature and were amazing. The drinks were very well made as well. The service was great the staff was so nice and very ready to serve. There was a lot of comments on the dress code of the staff. They were all first class and everybody was very professional. I would definitely recommend this place. Sorry no pics just really hungry and forgot to snap some pics.

Such a neat restaurant, if you have time in between flights I would recommend the gas light club. Such a nice break from airport food and ambiance.

As my wife’s corporate offices have moved to Chicago, and as my wife is on several boards that meet in/around the city, we dine at the Gaslight Club in the Hilton ORD Airport Hotel rather often. In some cases, we are just connecting to early flights out of ORD, in some cases we are staying at the airport, after a longer meeting downtown, and in a few cases, my wife has dinner meetings at the Gaslight Club. It was such a situation, which brough us there in February - a dinner meeting, and stay before heading downtown for more meetings. The Gaslight Club is an anachronism, a throwback to an earlier era, but that is part of its charm - slightly campy, a little bit kitschy and by the way, the food and service is good. With our business travel schedule, we find ourselves dining at many airport hotel restaurants, and I have to say that the Gaslight Club is unique - nothing else like it, and in a world of sameness, its character is appreciated. I have lost count of the times we have dined at the Gaslight Club, but we have come to recognize many of the servers, a few of whom have worked there for several years. When one is on the road so much, it’s always nice to encounter a friendly, familiar face. We were greeted at the reception desk, just off of the hotel’s lobby, and shown to our table, which was in a little, semi-private room, off of the main hallway. We had dined there before, and also for a business meeting/dinner. It is intimate, quiet and away from the rear bar, which normally has live music. That music was being played this night, but we could not hear it in our little room. While never loud, it is evident from the booth seating, just around the corner, and when business is being discussed, the fewer distractions, the better. We had menus in-hand quickly, as well as the short wine list, and decisions were made. Though Gaslight Club is known more as a “steakhouse,” I really like their Ahi, so chose that as my main course. We had our bread on the table, and everyone settled in for the meeting. Service was very good, and the servers did not intrude at all. Once more, Gaslight Club came through for us, and we will definitely return.

We were staying at the Hilton for a work meeting and the catered food was so bad at the Hilton we decided to venture off and check out the Gaslight Club. It is dark and the waitresses are all dressed in skimpy outfits. There are pictures of naked women on the walls - so if this offends you this is not the restaurant for you. There was also a piano player for entertainment. We all had a steak and my steak was cooked to perfection. I also had mushroom risotto and it was so good! If you are stuck at ORD or staying at the Hilton I would recommend checking out the Gaslight Club.

I stayed at the Hilton O'Hare so this was the best option for dinner. I felt the filet was overcooked and overpriced as well. The atmosphere was nice but that was about it.

We stayed at the O'Hare Hilton Thursday night 2/18 because we had a 5 am flight Friday morning. I thought, '5 am? Come on! but the airport was full of people at that time. Anyway, we had dinner Thursday night at the Gaslight Club and it was excellent. My wife had fish and I had a steak. Both were terrific. Both were expensive, too. But if you have to stay at the O'Hare Hilton, the Gaslight Club is a great place to have dinner.

I ended up at the Hilton at the airport unexpectedly. Out of the restaurants to choose from, this was the most affordable. The food was okay. The staff seemed a little unorganized. They had circle tables, that they cover with square pieces of wood then with a table cloth in their seating area to make room for 4 people to eat a meal. The problem is they don't have enough wood. They seemed to be rushing people out so they could take their table to the next open table. It was an odd set up. The music was good, and the women dress in short little outfits, so if you got your man with you he'll love this place! They had piano music which was nice. The only thing that really bothered me was the way the women working there treated the bus boys. The one I saw was working his butt off and the women servers were being rude to him. Working in restaurants in the past, I know how valuable each member of the staff is and it's disappointing to see them not working well together.

I come here frequently on business and it never disappoints. The food is good no matter what I get. The drinks, the atmosphere, and the service is very good. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This is just a fun place to grab a bite before a flight. The food and service are always outstanding. We have stayed at the Hilton just to eat here.

The decor was nice. The lady playing piano was good. Even the guy that sang later was fine. The problem was the food was not good. Apparently the chef doesn't know how to properly prepare a steak. One ordered rare came our medium and one ordered medium came out like shoe leather. The staff was okay. Wouldn't recommend and won't be back.

After reading the reviews, I was a little concerned, but since the choices are limited when staying at the O'Hare Hilton, I decided to give the Gaslight Club a try and I was very satisfied. I was seated past the lounge, in a room meant for diners, where I could hear the piano from the lounge, but also the piped in music...a little annoying. On the other hand, I was served quickly, something a single diner appreciates and the waitress was appropriately attentive. I enjoyed the grilled tuna quite a lot. The portion was large and well prepared on a bed of tomatoes with a delicious buttery sauce and asparagus. Two people could easily enjoy salads and then split the entree. The glass of Malbec was generous, if not of great quality. (Wines by the glass do not appear in the menu. You get what they offer that evening.) In short, for a hotel restaurant when choices are not available, and when dining alone, this establishment did fine.

Lovely place! Exquisite food!! Great variety of wines!! Live piano music!!! And the best of all an amazing team of lovely people that make you feel like at home!!! Our appreciation for Mr & Mrs Bradley for their exquisite attention for these foreigners!!! God bless you all!!!!❤️

Wide range of food choices, very well prepared. Live piano music sets a great ambiance. Food was delicious, and the servers dressed immaculately and very courteous. I'd definitely go again.

The food here is ridiculously overpriced, comparable to the most-expensive steak houses in downtown Chicago, but smaller portions much less well cooked. The waitresses are forced to serve food wearing playboy-bunny-like outfits to leering business travelers. The lounge singers are poor and over-amplified.

Food was tasty. Did not have any appetizers but enjoyed a nice glass of Pinot Noir and the Veal Marsala was good. The staff was friendly and catered to our needs. Overall, the team enjoyed their dinners of salmon, ravioli and steak.

This is an excellent location, very convenient to meet people for a quick fly in, fly out lunch. Unfortunately, the food is very mediocre and service overbearing. Weird place with scantily clad waitresses that either constantly interrupt or disappear when you need a drink refill or the check.

This is a restaurent on the lobby level of the O’Hara Hilton. The decor is nice , table cloth, different rooms and a big bar. . The staff is friendly. , waitress dress in low cut dress. The menu is simple , mainly steak with a decent wine list. The cream of chicken soup is superb and heart warming . The Gaslight salad( split between two of us ) was fresh with a nice creamy dressings. .The Gaslight steak ( bone in ribeye) was superb , perfectly Med rare and marinated right . The orange roughy is lightly battered and sautéed was good. . A nice dinner for a night layover , will do this again

The chef here provided me with the best “black&blue” NY Strip I’ve ever had. The excellent quality meat was even more improved by the masterful handling by the chef. All over the US when I have a steak I ask for “black&blue, but it seems that most of the cooks have a problem executing this simple request and often the meat quality doesn’t help them. As I often stop by in Chicago, I will certainly try to stay at the Airport Hilton just to have this perfect steak again.

In the past, I have gone to the Gas Light with a group. Normally, we go to the back to enjoy the music. This time, it was a quick solo dinner. I sat in a small room by myself. Very nice and peaceful. I enjoyed a shrimp cocktail and the orange roughfy. Both were outstanding. My server was Alexandria. The Gas Light always has beautiful ladies as servers. The service was very good. She appeared only when needed. The price is high, but the food and service are fantastic.

Staying overnight at the Chicago O'Hare Hilton, a fairly nice business hotel, we had a two day meeting on site. Business dinner that night was scheduled for the Gaslight Club. Very inappropriate atmosphere. As a woman business executive, I am not comfortable being served by women who are dressed so scantily: tight corsets, revealing bustiers, fishnet stockings... ugh! It was embarrassing and inappropriate for business. Actually, outdated and stupid for any purpose. There is no reason to dress professional waitstaff in this manner. I learned later that the old Chicago Gaslight Clubs were the "inspiration" for Hugh Hefner's Playboy Clubs in the 60's - there's a reason those clubs are largely defunct. The food was only marginal: heavy on the steaks and greasy chicken smothered in cheese. The salads were good. The standard seafood appetizers seemed to please people, but to my taste, I would bet they had spent some time in the freezer prior to cooking. The dining room, which you enter through a door labeled "telephone" (booth) was very dark and unappealing. Hilton - wake up! You used to be upscale, what happened? Consider putting a well-lighted modern restaurant, serving fresh innovative cuisine, in this facility, and lose the sleazy "men's club" atmosphere.

The restaurant has a bar/club atmosphere which is nice and interesting. The food is very good and the service is terrific. There is piano music for dinner and is relaxing in what looks as a festive atmosphere.

What a surprise! Stayed at Hilton for early AM flight for first time and discovered this place. Piano great; good great, reasonable prices for airport hotel. Carol, bartender was flirty but nice! Only suggestion ... the waitresses costumes ... not offended but not necessary.

Exhausted and stuck after flying all day, I am looking for a meal. It is 10pm and a Hilton bartender told me to try Gaslight Club. When I walked into the bar area I thought I stepped into the twilight zone and into an alternate universe. The live semi-cabaret music was bizarre yet fascinating and entertaining. There is no way to explain it. I had a couple drinks and some small plates that were ok. I didn't order dinner. Everyone was super nice. But the atmosphere was CRAZY and strange and a fantastic distraction from the fact I didn't make it home that night. What a trip!!!

You need a reservation as it gets packed every night. Very nice menu for a hotel restaurant. Pricey, but good food and service. Selections for all types of eaters. Pretty nice wine list to fit all budgets. Not for kids. It is a good date spot or for a business meeting. Private booths keep out most noise. If you have a meeting at the airport or are flying out the next morning? This is perfect. Not for solo diners. There is maybe a 4 seat bar. Worth going back but only if you are using the airport or staying here. The traffic is brutal so having people meet you here is not a good idea. Better to UBER offsite and meet them there. Valet parking is available but slow

This place is tucked back behind the restaurant and has a nice piano bar ,great seafood, and freindly service. The history of this place is phenomenal I would definitely recommend a trip to the Gaslight lounge while in Chicago.

This was an amazing surprise! To find a gem like this at the Hilton O'Hair airport! Classic 1950's steakhouse with a great atmosphere. The wait staff is dressed in classic cocktail waitress wear from the 50's. The food was great! The restaurant manager visited the table to ensure our stay was top notch. Had the bone in and it was perfect. Added lobster tail and shared lamb chops, oh they were perfect. After dinner the bar turns into a classic piano bar club. This is the last "Gaslight Club" around originating from the 50's. A must visit if your flying through, sad that its in the Hilton O'Hair so not too friendly for the local folks. Hotel does have Valet its worth a trip!

This place is so cute! Service is not only great, but they are dressed in really cute flapper like costumes! There was also a piano player and Singer the night that we went. I loved it! Not only that but the food that we ordered was amazing! As soon as you walk in, you feel like you’re walking back in time. The aesthetic, the tunes, just everything, so pretty. can’t wait to go back.

Maybe because we were in a group the service was excellent and the food expertly prepared. The Gaslight is a hidden gem in a hotel at the airport. Who knew? Once in a great while one encounters a restaurant that entices the senses. From the ambiance to the servers in their period costumes to the food was a worthwhile experience. Steak is king here! As well they offer an extensive wine list with some fine selections. Living close to wine region in CA, I can attest to the quality of the list, yes, remember you are paying restaurant prices. The floor manager came in twice to make sure our meal and overall experience was satisfactory. I found this to be a nice touch. If delayed, spend a few bucks and check it out.

This place is a fabulous throwback that, while corny is so much fun. Waitress staff decked out like Playboy bunnies without the ears and tail, harkens back to a time when they were the original key club in Chicago before Hugh got the idea. Today, they have good food at fair prices and a bar scene that is suited for business people and locals who come out in droves to sing and party. If you are staying in the O'Hare Hilton, don't pass this place up, even if for a drink after dinner elsewhere. Love this place. PS they have a back room that is suited for large groups, so if you are dong a conference at the hotel, dinner for a large group is the way to go...I've done three large groups three nights in a row and they didn't miss a beat.

Located in the Hilton's west end, this old style steak house give you everything you might wan at at a world class business hostel. Great steak and seafood with a wonderful wine list and cocktails.

I was meeting friends in the area before heading back home. Went searching on Google to find somewhere to eat near the airport that was interesting. I, as well as my friends, were hooked on the fishnet stockings. :) Great food, fun service, and we had a great time with stories; including our waitress, Terri.

What a very cool spot in the Chicago ORD Hilton. Felt like going back in time to a speakeasy or old-school Chicago Italian joint from the 40-50's. Was greeted immediately and was shown a table in the back by the bar, very cool ambiance. On my second trip in had a private side room for the 6 of us eating. Both nights had a great Gin drink, good appetizers and main course meals. Everything was hot, freshly made and tasted really good. Not every hotel has a good restaurant within the property, this was an exception. Definately a must visit and I would return.

Stopped here for a meal while delayed for a significant amount of time. My first thought was that this was not the place for me, a bit too fancy for my typical fare. The hostess made me feel welcome, the bartenders extremely welcome. They were incredibly professional, polite, and fun. The club itself has a fascinating history, the bartenders I spoke with had been there for a significant amount of time and one took me on a short tour filled with details and insights. The history and was fascinating and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a filet and a few drinks, all were delicious and well made. There was live piano and some singing. Outstanding and honestly, it just made me happy. Few places pride themselves on actually delivering an enjoyable experience, this place nails it. Overall, I could highly recommend a visit and I would absolutely come back again.

My family and I used this restaurant to have a good meal while staying overnight at the hotel there. The atmosphere is neat, similar to old men's clubs at the turn of the century, and the waitresses dressed in burlesque costumes. However, the food was only OK, and the prices were full chophouse levels, so no value there. My bone-in ribeye was OK, but not worth almost $50 by itself. However, my wife did say the filet was very good. Overall, it's OK if you want the convenience of staying at the hotel and the meal is reasonably good, but be prepared to dig deep in your wallet. I wouldn't go there if not staying at the hotel. Service was OK but not overly friendly.

This place is a bazaar experience that you should have. It's like stepping into a speakeasy. Live piano player and singer each time I've been there. I've only had drink there -- skip the wine and stick with beer or cocktails. Go for the decor and the fringed waitress uniforms.

Having been many years since I lived in Chicago, it was nice to see this past month while there that the Gaslight Club is still alive and well. While it was more of a bar night than meal, the people I was with said the food is still great there even if the prices are a bit high. I don't think the atmosphere has changed at all in 20 years...which speaks well for the staying power of old fashioned "gentlemens club" atmosphere where men are men, women are sufficiently sexy and everyone appreciates the difference. The traditional pianobar was live and well on this Monday night we were there. The pianoplayer allowed people to "sit in" and sing with her...and Sami Scot the entertainer is one of Chicagos finest traditions of this nature. Shes the main reason we went there. But then the gorgeous and talented cocktail waitress got up and did a GREAT job on a couple tough broadway style numbers. The whole night was a treat...though it does remind one of the cost of having a good time in Chicago. But...we will pay for traditional values...won't we? And no other airport I know of has this kind of entertainment onsite such as Ohare has.

Scantily clad women, a lot of red velour. Not my kind of place. One of two restaurants at the Hilton at O'hare airport.

A step back in time---we ate in the main room where the bar and piano is. A massive chandelier, heavy flock wall-paper with portraits of naked women set a Bordello theme. The wait staff are in fishnet stockings and music-hall outfits. The pianist's selection created a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere in which to dine. Very attentive staff. The scallops, steak, and sides of spinach, asparagus and twice-baked potato were good. We did have to request sour cream for the potato and the house salad was just awful to look at and tasteless. Nevertheless it was a very enjoyable experience.

Visited during business trip. Food was very bland (calamari and salmon). Waitress did not check on us as expected. We've had coffee and have been waiting 20 mins for her to bring the bill. Two thumbs down!

I had dinner here and thought this place had a very relaxing and enjoyable ambiance with slightly above average food. I started with the Scallops Appetizer. When it arrived at my table, sadly they had lost their warmth. I followed it with a Caesar's Salad which was fine if with a bit too much dressing (on the side next time!). My server was from Romania and she was excellent.

This club feels like a trip back to oh about the 1930s. Its the kind of place where you order a Manhattan or a Gin and Tonic and listen to some live jazz. Its definitely worth a stop if you happen to be in the area.

Wonderful place to have a nice meal and get a fairly priced bottle of wine. My business guest and I were both impressed with the quality and portion size of each prepared dish. Sure, it’s a bit pricey because your on top of the airport but worth the convenience of only having to walk under the road to get to it from O’Hare or get back to the terminal.

I've stopped in Gaslight for fine dining with friends or my wife, & also for a few cocktails before/after traveling. Always great service and attitudes from host, waitress, bartenders, & manager. I think the price is in line with most upscale restaurants. I think it is even more fair considering it is located at an airport hotel connected to one of the countries busiest airports.

If you are staying at the airport, this would be a nice dinner choice. We both had freshly prepARED seafood, and enjoyed our meals. . . only a bit pricey, but no taxi expense. The service was on point.

The atmosphere was prohibition meets Wild West, with rat pack era music. Quite eclectic but a lot of fun actually. My husband and I each had a petite filet and it was nicely prepared. We were able to each have a 6 oz size instead of the 8 oz shown on the menu, that request was handled without any difficulty at all. Overall bill was about 150 including tax and tip,for what would have been a $100 meal anyplace else. (We had no dessert nor cocktails, just wine).

Attending a business meeting at the Hilton O'Hare, our group dined at the Gaslight Club (within the hotel). I do appreciate feeling like I've gone back in time. The retro look appeals to me, and I don't mind the skimpy server attire -- the girls are beautiful and the "uniform" flatters. The squid appetizer was lovely and my lemon chicken was very tasty. Our group was large (around 30 diners) and it seemed a bit of a struggle to get us all served at once. In the end, the room did lend itself to great conversation and good food. For the small group or individual diner I'm sure this is a great treat.

The first night I got the Angel Hair Caprese and was expecting a garlic oil sauce but it was a tomato sauce so I did not enjoy it however the next night I got the French Onion Soup and Wiener Schnitzel and it was excellent.

My friend and I were stuck in Chicago overnight due to bad weather a few weeks ago. We ended up spending the night at the Hilton at the airport. We found our way to the Gaslight Club and it made our night! Our waitress Dimitriya was amazing. She provided phenomenal service and was so friendly. Our meal was spectacular with scallops and bacon to start, a Cesar salad and shrimp with pasta for our entree. We had a great red wine. The manager, Ray Dabizljevic was so understanding to our situation and frustration with a terrible day of traveling, no luggage and incredibly tired. He made us a special lemon shot to top off our night. This is probably one of the best meals I have ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant. Thanks Ray for making a bad day a great one!

This place was very elegant & upscale, yet cozy & laid back. The bar service was quick and wait staff was definitely worth waiting for. Had scallop appetizers, very good. Plan to return for a main course someday soon. Live entertainment was supplied by a singer/ pianist. She played a mix of jazz and light classics that could sing along to. Would definitely come back.

The food was okay but pricey for what you get. The Live show was quite entertaining and we spent a lovely time.

Here on business. The bartenders noticed when I was going to the restroom and kept watch of my drink. Whether it was placing it behind the bar or just standing by it; it made me feel very comfortable. Above and beyond without even asking. Just general courtesy to keep their solo guests safe.

I get that they were trying to create the atmosphere of the roaring 20's Chicago speakeasy but, frankly, I found the "uniforms" worn by the female servers to be completely uncalled for. Who is the clientele that the restaurant hopes to attract, anyway? On the other hand, the folks at the bar seemed to be having a very good time if fun can be determined by their decibel level.

This is a beautiful space with a GIANT chandelier in the main room by the bar , with someone playing the piano and singing ( which makes you want to join in ). The little room behind the bar is romantic and dark , with dark wood and charming people.

I was staying overnight at the Hilton O'Hare with my Mom and I opted for the Gaslight Club over the other on site restaurant, based in part on price. I had checked out both menus earlier and was abit hesitant to take my Mom there as the 'girls' aka waitstaff are, ah, scantily clad in what others who have reviewed this place refer to as dress from the old 'Gentlemens' clubs...but Mom was fine with it. I found the decor on the charming side, certainly it was old World/old West with brocade wallpaper, leather booths, a HUGE chandelier hanging in the bar/piano bar room etc etc... the menu is not overly extensive, but they offer nice choices...quite a few pupu (Hawaiian speak for appetizers), but we skipped those...if we had ordered I would have taken the scallops in lemon butter...12$ I did order up a Caesar salad, the dressing was right there, complete with anchovy in it, but I was disappointed in that the Romaine had the beginnings of 'rust' on the white ribs/centers and was just a tad past...but it wasn't soggy and I just took it for what it was...7.75$ Mom wanted salad too and went for the entree Caesar w/cajun chicken, which was an entire breast grilled cajun and cut into 'fingers'...it was tasty and she had some left over chicken strips for her brekkie...19.75$ for my dinner I went with the chicken Monte Carlo, traditional dish prepared with prosciutto and cheese...lots of both! This was served over a generous 'heap' of spinach that was sauteed with garlic, which was some ono! It was alot to eat as it was a split breast, but I forced it all down...22.75$ they have a great selection of wines by the glass, and it's a most generous pour, also the server knew every wine and vineyard, I went for the Malbec and was not even close to being disappointed...it was velvety smooth and tasty...of course I had to have another glass...can't recall the exact price, but it was under 10$... the entire bill was approx. 75$, which I thought fair enough... the piano bar was a great throw back to bygone days...and she was good! Mostly just played but she also sang a few songs... I felt the service to be attentive and efficient without coming close to being overbearing/intruding... all in all I'd recommend this restaurant...

I was so unfortunate to have to fly to Chicago and attend an all day conference near the airport. I stayed at the hotel near Ohare, and came across this gem of a restaurant. The server introduced herself as "my gaslight girl". We hit it off instantly. I loved the old school menu, food, decor, piano player, gaslight girls, and overall experience. I'm guessing that the frumpy old lesbians who wander in here find the whole thing awkward and uncomfortable, but maybe they could lighten up and see this as a relic of the past and try to enjoy the beautiful women who are here to offer a pleasant dining experience.

This is your best option in the O’hare Hilton for a relaxing atmosphere and an acceptable, if not limited, wine list. The food quality for the price leaves allot to be desired. I’ll be back because I have to stay at this hotel on short connections but it really wouldn’t take much for this spot to step up their game and I really wish they would make the effort.

Dark woods, jazz, cheerful waitstaff, and good food. HUGE chandelier in the bar. Bartenders were a hoot and make a sturdy Manhattan! They can put table tops on the small bar tables as well. Had the ravioli one night = need warm, comfort food. With cheesecake for dessert. Yummy after a long day of travel. Second night had Monte Cristo chicken = butterflied chicken breast with prosciutto, cheese and sauce. Oh my!

Stranded at Ohare overnight and decided to try the Gaslight Club at Ohare Hilton. Upon entering you feel like you've stepped back in time to an Old Chicago Steakhouse. I ordered surf and turf with side of spinach and the food was absolutely amazing! The lobster tail was one of best I've ever eaten. The steak was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our table was in the kitchen room and we watched them make every meal fresh and to order. The staff were very attentive and professional. Well worth the visit!
Great Lunch Break If you have a Long Layover at O'Hare
We had a 3 1/2 hour layover in Chicago waiting for a Europe flight. Rather than eat "In the airport", we left security and ate in the Hilton's Gaslight Club "in the airport" The meal was much more relaxing, much better, and at a lower lunchtime price than most other food options. The food was very good, and the atmosphere is very eligant, unless you consider 1920's style a bit sleezy.
