Picked this restaurant because it was late and it was close to our hotel. Service was quick and friendly. The menu as a little limited however probably appropriate for the size of the place however everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed their entree. Black & Blue burger got especially good reviews. The one complaint was the comfort of the seating. Most the high tops had wooden stools that were hard on the bottom.

Great spot! Excellent food and great service. Very attentive even when the place is packed and busy. I can’t wait to stop back here again and try something new next time.

Service was horrible, the food was awful! Small parking lot. The only positive aspect of this place is the location. Oh and the awful food came out quickly.

At this point, I don't remember what we had in mid-Feb...but was great. And a neat place with friendly servers. Right off I-95, easy to find, great for a dinner before a concert or show at the three sports arenas. Food was tasty and different from the usual. You should go here.

Beautiful food and the staff are great.we always go here for dinner no were else beats it.sunday dinners are beautiful I have yet to finish one

This used to be Bar Amiss and is now the Gatehouse. The menu has been changed to be more consumer friendly and also offers more shareable dishes. We were lucky to get two seats at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the bar staff. The new menu is really awesome. Thursday was 1/2 price tacos and nachos so we tried the pork tacos and the nachos and also the brussel sprouts. Everything came out hot and very very good. The variety of drinks was large with several interesting ones. The outside garden area is also very nice. They had several picnic benches along with some high top tables. I would highly recommend the Gatehouse and cannot wait to return.
Fun location inside the Philly Navy Yard; great spot for locals
The Gatehouse is just inside the Philadelphia Naval Yard at the south end of Broad Street. It's past the Wells Fargo Center home to the Flyers and 76ers. There is outside seating, some high tops on the main floor with the bulk of the tables upstairs. Gatehouse features a full bar, beer and wine selections to go along with tasty sandwiches, burgers, etc. I had a chicken salad sandwich on toast which was very good and substituted a salad for fries. The staff is very friendly and was good at refilling water, asking if we needed anything, etc. The food came out promptly. Pro Tip - the Gatehouse has a very small parking lot. There is ample street parking in the surrounding area; plan ahead to give yourself a few extra minute to find parking.
