Great experience all around. Highly recommend The Genting Palace.

Really great menu, service and food. Booked a dinner reservation for two while in Las Vegas. I've traveled to Asia multiple times and this was one of my top asian meals ever. Menu is extensive from birds nest soup to multiple abalone choices. The tangerine beef and tofu with seafood mix was my favorite. The tofu is made in house. It's a bit pricy, but the food is superb. I highly recommend.

Great spot for Dim Sun

I’m not sure how this place wasn’t booked solid! It was outstanding! The restaurant is located in Resorts World which is on the newer side. We had a party of 5 at the last minute post trade show. It was one of the only restaurants we could find. We arrived and were taken to our table right away. It looks very beautiful with all the tables already set with light beige table clothes and beautiful green and gold china. The chairs were also very cool…a yellow greenish color with a walnut wood. The “silverware” is actual beautiful and all gold. Each setting also has a pair of white and black chopsticks. We started with cocktails and wine, they were all excellent. We then decided to start with Dim Sum. It did not disappoint. We ordered BBQ pork buns, pork and shrimp dumplings, shrimp spring rolls, siu mai to start. We added the Kirin Chicken, Fried Rice and stir fried shredded beef. The stand out was the Kirin Chicken. I really wish that I could get that recipe…I’d make it every.single.day! It was soooo good! We finished the night with dessert the custard and the almond float. Both were really great. I can’t wait to go again. I will definitely be back.

Absolute Disappointment - GENTING PALACE in resort world Las Vegas. At noon on 01/29/2023, my friends and I encountered the worst restaurant in more than ten years of Las Vegas business travel + vacation experience. GENTING PALACE in Resort World Las Vegas. 1.From the reception: three times delayed seating + the final 45mins of ultimate waiting. Total takes more than 2 hours back forward waiting. (During this period, it is not allowed to join the queuing system) 2.Asian buffet, was asked to sit in the bar area when a table was available. After asking to be moved to a table, the area waiter refused service, saying the waiter was still the bartender. (How selfish is your management? All waiters have no reasonable coordination requirements and consumption allocation) 3.The buffet was removed without notification, making the meal impossible to complete and adding to the poor experience. (Why host if you guys can't finish our meal time?) It only took 40mins from when we sat down to when we found out that there was no food. The whole service is just ineffective and rude, maybe this restaurant really has no shortage of customers. We have tried the buffet at 8.88, the buffet at 18.88, the buffet at 38.88 or More. Each of these restaurants has its strengths and weaknesses. However, this 88.88/Person GENTING PALACE seems to absorb and produce the shortcomings from all restaurants. If you are in Las Vegas for your trade show stay away from this restaurant unless your customers expect a bad experience. If you're hoping for a vacation, ask your family to find a better restaurant. Las Vegas has countless excellent restaurants and global cuisines, including of course this world's top junk restaurant. The final suggestion to Resort World Las Vegas, your casino and hotels are currently high-level services. Please pay attention to other details and investment behaviors, some black sheep will cause great harm to a huge business empire. Stay away from GENTING PALACE in resort world Las Vegas. Love & Peace.

Amazing food with a formal atmosphere

Amazing!! The service and the food were impeccable. We had a cucumber pickled salad, the wonton soup, truffle dumplings, seabass entree, an amazing dessert a cocktail and wine. The service and staff were very nice and did an amazing job. I will say that I felt a bit underdressed as it is a very nice restaurant, but i did not bring a long dress or something with sleeves as the average daily temperature was 110+. I saw that they did seat parties in t-shirts, so felt better then, The food is very perfect. Everything was served at the perfect temperature, it looked great and tasted amazing. I would recommend any of the dishes we tried. We normally don't eat dessert, but decided to try the sorbet. It was like eating art. The mango & passion fruit sorbet floated in a light rice sauce (I can't think of the name), it was all encased in a coconut shaped piece of thin chocolate and surround by shaved toasted coconut. It felt like 2 desserts in one. My husband also had a cocktail that was perfect for the evening and we both thought it tasted great - the "Butter me Up" I think it was called. Anyway, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely Delicious

We had a lovely time at Genting Palace. Food was delicious and the service was great. Definitely recommend the sweet and sour pork as well as the duckling appetizer.

Good restaurant

Outstanding service to begin with. The food was also in the strong very good category. The only concern is the portion sizes were small and the prices are too high. Generally speaking this is a typical Las Vegas restaurant with great food and sky high prices.

Wonderful experience!

Excellent Chinese restaurant where we enjoyed a sumptuous dinner with a lot of friends coming from California. We tried almost all dishes and they were all perfect. The service was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the champagne all all the goodies displayed on the table. We will go back.

Fabulous Dining Experience!

By Nicole Y |

My husband, myself, and a very good friend of ours went to Vegas for a couple of nights. On Sunday late afternoon, night we decided to check out Resorts World. We were already impressed with Resorts World and the three of us have been to some amazing places. Last minute, we decided to go to Genting Palace. Honestly, if I could give ten out of ten stars, I would. This restaurant deserves to be a Michelin star restaurant. By the time we were done waking around at Resorts World, we worked up an appetite. It was dinner time, but we were early enough so we were able to get in. Before I even sat down, the manager pulled out the chair for me and he said the chairs are heavy. I appreciated that so much because that’s very classy, more restaurants should do that today, but they don’t. I also appreciated the manager pulling out the chair for me because I’m not supposed to lift anything over a pound. We were off to a great start! We looked at the decor, both the lounge and the restaurant at Genting Palace are absolutely stunning. The food was excellent. The portions aren’t huge, but they aren’t tiny tiny either. The three of us noticed that the service was impeccable. My husband inquired as to whether or not they do training. They said that they do training once a month. The training shows, because these servers are stellar. This is an expensive restaurant, but none of us thought that it was overpriced. It’s definitely a special occasion restaurant. My husband was even impressed with everything about the restaurant and he doesn’t get impressed very easily. As we were walking out of the restaurant, they presented me with a gift, that they give to the ladies. This was a nine touch and very classy. I know we will be returning to stay at Resorts World and to dine at Genting Palace.

Best Fine Dining Chinese in Las Vegas

By Franz K |

We had the pleasure of sampling some of the drinks and food during the Opening of Resorts World. This assured us to check out the Restaurant at our first opportunity. Incredible Cocktails, awesome service and food out of this world,.....I mean Asia! The Duckling and Pork-belly Appetizers are amazing. The whole catch of the day, steamed with ginger and scallions,......divine! The whole Peking duck,...one of the best I had. A refreshing dessert, light and tasty. Better than good! We will be back!

Fabulous Meal

What a treat. Excellent food and service. It wasn't your everyday Chinese restaurant and though a bit pricey was worth every penny.

Dumplings Paradise!

By Paul S |

This was my 2nd time enjoying the wonderful experience of dining here at Genting. For me the experience starts with the Hosts greeting us at the front. Both Hosts made us feel like being welcomed to their home. Out Wait Staff pampered us and we truly felt welcomed and appreciated. I mentioned that I met the Manager on my last visit, and she came out and took time to say hello. This Meal Experience here is truly one of the best I’ve had. I will visit Genting Palace on every Vegas Trip going forward.

Wonderful Ambiance - But a Miss on Dinner

By WorldTravelRod |

The restaurant is beautiful and they have many wonderful sounding dishes on the menu. Sadly they missed on this dinner. My shrimp and chive appetizer arrived nearly cold, they were nice and hot when a new order was served. I chose the lamb in the black pepper sauce as a main course. The waiter described it as two racks of lamb. What he should have said is you get two thin lamb rib chops. The black pepper sauce was the delicious and the sauce was the highlight of the meal. Service was outstanding with the staff constantly checking in Room/decor 10/10 Service 10/10 Food 5/10 Value 0/10 I ate at Wing Lei and Genting Palace this week. Wing Lei much more flavorful and even better service.

A Must!

Great service and fantastic food! A little expensive, but worth it for the delicious dishes! Lots of good wines to choose from too.. Don't miss this one!

Great Food

By Nicole Humphrey |

My friend and I ordered two dishes and both were excellent. The fish and meat were very fresh. I have not had fresh fish this good in a long time. The restaurant is very pricey. We paid about $285 before tips, but it was worth the price.

Chinese Culture brought to your table.

By Paul S |

Dinner here was the highlight of the week. The Dishes served were like Art. Presentation was only surpassed by their flavor. Chilean Sea Bass was the best I’ve ever had. But the highlight was the Chinese Dumpling Platter. The experience I had make this a Destination Restaurant.

High holiday prices created an illusion of luxury but the experience lacked value

By SBVegasAdventures |

I've traveled extensively and eaten at restaurants all over the world from zero stars to 5+ stars so I have a pretty good idea what constitutes good food, service, and value. A family member made reservations at Genting Palace for Christmas seafood buffet dinner at $75 per person and I agreed since it was Resorts World and Genting Palace was supposed to be really nice so I was expecting a super expensive but worth it meal. What I got was a major disappointment and a ruined Christmas. A few days before the dinner, we were contacted by staff (bait and switch) to advise that the price had gone up to $88.88 per person from the $75 we initially agreed upon but unfortunately, we decided to keep the reservation. The evening of the dinner, we arrived a bit early but were seated at the time we reserved the table for even though the restaurant was only half full. The hostess was police and friendly and the restaurant seemed really nice inside but certainly not exquisite or elegant. I had read the mixed reviews and the buffet line was very small with limited selection just as I had read. I started with some cocktail shrimp, some of which were slightly under cooked, then moved to the snow crab legs which were a little skinny and sliced in half. The oysters didn't look so good so I passed on them. I had some poached chicken and a few clams and finally the lobster which although was tasty, was cut into small pieces in the shell and served in sauce. There was no fish or salad and the fruit, while fresh, was just watermelon and pineapple. There was a roast duck at the carving station and I was provided a few small slices. Overall, the food was just ok. A few plates of desert were brought to the table at the end of the meal which consisted of Almond Cookies, Tarts and Tapioca. I'm pretty sure that these were all pre-made somewhere else and not made fresh. The highlight of the evening came when we were presented the bill which came out to about $110 per person including tip!!! There were several folks in my party and when I realized just how much I actually had to pay for this dinner, I was overcome by a feeling of shame and regret. I felt like I had been tricked/scammed. The service wasn't horrible but certainly didn't justify a 15-20% tip and the food was absolutely not worth $88.88 per person. I went home and argued with my family over how much I ended up spending for this rip off which pretty much ruined Christmas for us. Las Vegas Casinos used to be the best value in town with $20 buffets and $30 per night rooms with no resort fees but greed and inflation have put the squeeze on customers to the point where Las Vegas is no longer worth visiting and it shows with half full restaurants serving substandard food and empty Casinos. I'm not singling out Genting Palace as the biggest rip off on the strip but it's certainly one of them. My advice is to avoid this place and visit one of the off-strip Buffets which offer much better food and value. As much as I hate to say it, Golden Corral has better food quality and selection than Genting Palace. Sorry to be harsh but it's the truth and I am out several hundred dollars for the experience. Oh, and to the "Management Representative" who will undoubtedly post a response to this review - if your establishment charges an amount for holiday dinner comparable to other big-name Casinos, you had better provide a comparable value, this year you did not.

Great food & ambience

Delicious Cantonese gastronomical delights with quiet ambience but the Peking Duck skin ought to be crispy instead of soft, otherwise it would have earned a 5-star review. Even though the buffet spread is not extensive, it is sufficient to satisfy my craving.

Friendly and Attentive Staff but Beware of the Upsell

By TheBoujCrew |

The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and very tolerant of the disrespectful amount of changes we had to make to our reservation. But, beware of the upsell. RESERVATIONS: Reserve through Open Table I booked here to celebrate my mom’s milestone birthday as we were going to see a concert at Resorts World afterwards. As what happens when you book with several family members, I had to call and make changes to both the time and the number of people with my reservation on a Friday night in May and the staff was friendly and accommodating. In fact, when checking in, they asked whose birthday it was so they knew immediately to bring the free dessert to my mom. Free dessert for a birthday was a nice touch, but the dessert was VERY tart. The 5 of us had one taste and the dessert was never finished FOOD: The quality of the food was good. Not excellent and not bad considering the price point. I have no problem paying extra money for good quality food but not entirely sure the price points fit the quality of food and portion - especially the $22 SIDE of Bok Choy. What we ordered: Shrimp Spring Rolls, Sichuan Hot and Sour Soup, Shrimp Wonton Soup, Shrimp Har Gow, Wok-Fried Scallop add a side of Bok Choy, Genting Palace Fried Noodles, Cantonese Style Wok-Fried Beef Hor Fun, and Yang Chow Fried Rice. RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHAT FOOD TO ORDER: The Sichuan Hot and Sour Soup was delicious, fresh and authentic, but they are individual portions for $12 when the larger bowl of Shrimp Wonton Soup was also $12. The Shrimp Wonton Soup was a large enough portion for my Grandma and she brought some home. I really liked my Genting Palace Fried Noodles and felt it was a decent portion for the noodles and it included roast duck, shrimp and scallops - the flavor was great and the dish wasn’t oily. The Wok-Fried Scallops were cooked perfectly BUT the staff sold this as “a la carte” and suggested a side be added, which ended up being the $22 SIDE of baby Bok Choy. AND the Scallops actually come with asparagus, carrot, and onion so it wasn’t even “a la carte” as far as I understand the definition. THE UPSELLS: When asked what would be recommended it was the live seafood which is market price. It was also recommended that for a table of 5 ladies we order 2 appetizers to share, 5 entrees each and 2 portions of fried rice and/or noodles to share. I attended with 4 petite women, one of which is greater than 80 years old. So, we felt their recommendation was a bit astronomical. We ordered 2 side soups, 1 large soup, 1 app, 1 dim sum, and 4 entrees (2 of which were a noodle/rice dish) and had leftovers of all entrees. Also, the last upsell was mentioned above in the recommendations with the waitress describing the Scallops as “a la carte” and recommend my cousin add a side, which ended up being $22 for a side of baby bok-Choy when the scallops actually come with asparagus and carrots COCKTAILS: Spicy Mango Margarita and Cherry Blossom = 5 stars My cocktail was delicious. I am a sucker for cocktails, but am always battling between finding a delicious cocktail that doesn’t taste like you’re drinking liquid sugar and the Cherry Blossom did the trick! (See my photos). My cousin ordered the Spicy Mango Margarita per our server’s suggestion and liked hers as well HILTON CREDIT CARD HOLDERS: Purchases at Genting qualify as a “Hilton charge” so rack some bonus points for dining here! DIETARY RESTRICTIONS: They have vegetarian and pescatarian options here. You can certainly order dairy-free as well. Gluten-free is a possibility but I am unaware of how strict they are with gluten sensitivities. Low-carb can be possible depending on your restrictions and keto on a few dishes can be possible, but again, depends how strict you are WOULD I RETURN: Yes. The food, ease of reservations and service was good enough to warrant a second visit, but I would just be mindful of the prices, upsell and the portions.

Amazing food and service!!

By Richard W |

Located in the Resorts World complex we loved the beautiful decorations of this restaurant and the menu offerings. If you desire an excellent, high-end , Chinese style meal, in a beautiful setting with superb service then this is the place for you. It was obvious that the staff here is very well trained. They offer impeccable service and attention. They know the menu, how items are prepared and can make recommendations. Our server, Victor, was excellent and took the time to answer any questions we had. He also took the time to explain what other dishes and menu items being delivered were--like the Peking Duck which was trimmed and served at table side with the remainder taken back to make the next course of Duck Soup. We appreciated his input, time and caring about the traditional dishes being served. We had the Kirin Style Crisp Chicken and the Wok-fried Walnut Scallops. Both were amazing. The scallops were cut thin and prepared perfectly. Very different than the normal full sea scallop served. These were about 1/2 inch thick, flavorful and so tender! They have an excellent offering of craft cocktails and wines. We loved out time and experience at this GEM of an establishment.

Excellent Chinese dinner

By tlowens75 |

This restaurant is lovely and tucked away down a hallway sort of between the Hilton and Conrad/Crockford wings of Resorts World. We made a reservation for a Thursday night at 8 p.m. during the National Finals Rodeo; when we arrived, it was mostly empty. There is an interesting cocktail selection and a decent wine list. As for food, my husband and I split the BBQ combination as an appetizer, then the wok-fried scallops and the truffle crab meat fried rice as a main. The BBQ combo was excellent, though I thought the portion was a bit skimpy for the price. The scallops were very good; the truffle crab meat fried rice was excellent (large portion, accommodated my husband by preparing it without broccoli). The service was good, but a bit standoffish - maybe because it wasn't very busy. It wasn't a problem, though. Prices are probably a bit too high, but that's Vegas for you.

Great Chinese Restaurant

By Vegas408 |

Make no mistake. This is a high end Chinese restaurant and it ain’t cheap BUT the place is great for a nice dinner or special occasion. The place is decorated very nice and the service is terrific. Staff was on the spot whenever we needed anything. The food is amazing. We tried the Pan-Seared Pork and Shrimp Dumplings, King Pao Chicken, Wok Fried Scallops and the Yang Chow Fried Rice. Next time I’ll definitely try the Peking Duck!
