Prices were reasonable, food was good, atmosphere was perfect...not too loud, but not dead either! Friendly staff, EXCELLENT beer selection. Will definitely be back when I am in the area!

Spent an evening at Gibney's Pub during my stay in Atl. The pub was very close proximity to my hotel so we decided to give it a try. Drinks were good and fairly priced, food was good (definitely a burger I would have again). Atmosphere was also fun mainly due to the good service and fun bartenders.

I go to a lot of Irish pubs and this was nice. We stopped in for lunch and my husband loved the cheeseburger! I had clam chowder and it was great! The server, Renee was so nice and helpful with recommendations. I want to stop back for an evening of music, laughing, and Guinness!

Ended up going here after being quoted 2+ hour wait times at other downtown restaurants. Should have known to leave when I asked for some local beer recommendations and the waitress replies "I don't know...I don't like beer, they're all different". We stayed anyway based on someone's fish & chips recommendation from a couple years ago. The beer is served at a decent temperature but the food is all pretty tasteless. The beer cheese pretzel is completely disappointing. Its a frozen pretzel product served with overly thinned out beer cheese. I'm not sure what beer they're adding but it might as well be keystone light as watery as it tastes. The fish and chips are nothing special. The breading is too thin and flakes right off after the first bite which leaves you with a bunch of pieces of cod laying everywhere. The tarter sauce is watery as well which doesn't help the fragile fish. Fries are ok but nothing special. The burger seems a little underweight for the bun and it definitely wasn't memorable either. If downtown is too busy do yourself a favor and hop in a cab and go elsewhere. Don't settle for this place's version of pub fare.

It was nothing special except for the shots out of medicine cups. That was pretty cool, as was the selection of beer. Otherwise, it was a little dingy. Could have used a good cleaning.

We stopped in around 5 on Saturday afternoon. No rush, no waiting. Love the signs around the pub. Food was good and service was drinks only, hence, the 4 star review.

We came here (13 of us) after serving the homeless. It was a relaxing atomsphere, not too many people there, so we enjoyed it. We played pool and watched some sports. The staff was very nice and attentive to our needs. They said we didn't need reservations and they were right. The food was really good too. The portions were large.

If you are looking for a quick lunch without a very long wait, this is the place to go inside of the HUB at Peachtree Center food court. You order from the counter take your freshly cooked food and find a table to enjoy your food.

It’s been awhile since I was here last (even going back to their ‘Charlie & Barney’s’ days) & it was just as good today as it was then. I simply had the small Chili & Spaghetti & was very pleased. The beef chili was hearty & was not lacking in the meat or kidney beans. It wasn’t a spiced chili either, but still very flavorful. The price was very reasonable @ around $6. I’ll definitely come back for lunch when I’m back in town.

A group of six of us visited on a Monday night and were pleased with the service, the drink selection (beer, hard cider, wine, and full bar), food, and atmosphere. There were TVs all around (so we got to watch the Olympics) but the sound was off or so low that it was not disturbing. We were able to hold conversations without straining our voices. The Shepard's pie was a surprise with a giant puff pastry load on top-very tasty. I had a good burger, and another at my table enjoyed a shrimp po' boy sandwich. Nothing fancy; very enjoyable.

The drinks were a bit subpar in their preperation and the only redeeming factor was our waitor who was interesting and funny.

Took forever and the food was subpar. Waited 45 mins to get drinks and didn't finally leave for another hour. Never will go back.

Food was good, service was great - friendly and timely. Easy walk from Atlanta Marriott Marquis and other hotels. I paid $20 for a burger, onion rings, a cocktail, and tip. My friend had the Shepherd's Pie and a beer for the same.

I visited this pub while on business and decided to give it a shot. Food was pretty good and was served quickly. I had the Chicken Pop Pie for dinner and it was a bit different, served in a long rectangle deep dish with a massive pastry over it. It was tasty and just large enough to be a complete dinner, but not too large that you would take some home. Good selection of beers (tap and bottled). Its pretty noisy, so if you are looking for a place to carry on a conversation, look elsewhere.

I stopped in for a few libations and was promptly greeted. This is a friendly and welcoming establishment with very good prices. Great option if your staying in one of the nearby hotels.

Stopped in on three evenings, have to say I enjoyed all three. The first bartender introduced me to one of the local brews, Sound Czech, truly enjoyed. The second time went with co-workers and was at a table, her service wasn't quite as prompt as it could have been, but moved to the bar and enjoyed the rest of the evening. Tonight was again pleasant, cold beer, good food, and relaxing atmosphere. If I make it back to Atlanta I will have to stop by again. BTW the jukebox rocks

While in Atlanta for a conference, we stopped in for a late night meal. The service was great. We had heard they had the BEST grilled cheese. There were three of us in our party and we had the fried pickles as an appetizer. They were tasty: nice and crispy, but a bit on the salty side. I had the corned beef reuben....very messy, but delicious. One of my friends had the grilled cheese, and it lived up to its reputation. We both had ( upon the waiter's recommendation) the tater tots. They were cooked perfectly, nice and crispy! My other friend had the shepherd's pie and it was delicious. The portions were large. I was impressed with the food and service. The atmosphere was great and prices were fair. I'd definitely recommend this pub for anyone in the downtown area. It's just a short walk from the Marriot Marquis.

It's a typical Irish style pub. Very large booths that can hold 8-10 people. Typical pub style food. Roughly $10 a person to eat. We didn't drink but they have a full bar selection.

This will be a mixed review. First impressions: they were busy on Friday evening around 7pm so I seated myself at a high top because the bar was full. A waiter quickly greeted me with a menu, including specials. He could have used a breath mint. I ordered a hoppy draft beer and an appetizer of 8 hot wings. The beer was called Terrapin Hopsecutioner. It came to me in a plastic cup even with others drinking from glasses and plenty mor on the shelf. The beer tasted great. It had a unique hoppy taste. The hot wings were pretty awesome too. They had a hot smokey flavor. If I had not been extra hungry this would have been a 4. Since I missed lunch I was extra hungry and wanted to try their french dip. The sandwich had been microwaved. It was piping hot but the bread was not crispy from a broiler. Too hot to eat. I ate nearly half of the fries before the sandwich was cool enough to eat. The au jus was bland and so was the sandwich. The fries were very nice. They were nice and crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. The food did come out nice and quick. Also the place was very clean.

Was in town for a four day conference and stopped here on night two. The decor is nothing special but it feels comfortable. The menu is limited but varied enough to have something for everyone. They have a limited number of draft beers. I settled in and ordered a beer and shepherds pie. The pie came out not more than five minutes later, a large portion extremely tasty, seasoned beef, peas, carrots in a tomato base covered with mashed and cheddar cheese. Excellent. I returned the next night and tried chili nachos. I again ordered and was served in less than five minutes. The nachos were a generous portion with chili on top as well as jalapeños and salsa. I've since returned for the shepherds pie. Again perfect, quick service I've also been back for drinks at the end of the night with friends found the staff to be extremely competent. This is a must stop if you want to quick reasonably priced meal while downtown.

This was a great place for lunch. Not sure I saw a lot of Irish but they had the makings for a snake bite (half Guinness and half cidar). The burger there was very good and much better that you might get at other local places. The staff was very frendly. You can enter the restaurant off the street or through the mall at Peachtree Station.

Had some people who worked at our hotel recommend this spot. Fun Friday night watching the games. Friendly staff and good beer selection

We spent the night at the Marriott Marquis and walked over to Gibney's. It is a cozy, hometown pub. They have yummy salads and nachos, a variety of local and European beers. The service was excellent.

From the outside it appears to be quite appealing so a group of us came for a weekend dinner. It’s nearby many hotels and the Peachtree Marta station. There were not too many patrons for a Saturday night around 8:30. We got the menu and discovered it is traditional bar food. Nothing spectacular. Had the nachos with beef and it was pretty good. Someone had the chicken pot pie which was tasty but a bit unusual with a long biscuit on top of the serving. Prices were ok for pub food. Service quite good. Noticed a billiard table in the back with lots of tvs for sports viewing.

While attending a conference a group of us headed out to find a place to eat. We came to Gibney''s, which I had heard about, we decided to stop in. It had been a slow day and evening so they had sent some staff home but it did not stop them from providing us with a wonderful meal, a relaxing and fun time and the great hospitality. They told us when we first got there about their situation and warned that they could be a little slow. However, all of the staff that was there helped out and it was a wonderful time. So good in fact that we ate there two more evenings while there for the week. The prices are extremely reasonable.and the chicken pot pie can't be beat! I will go there every time I am in Atlanta.

This is a typical city centre bar offering a wide range of drinks and well priced quick and easy bar food. The staff are pleasant and there are a number of screens to watch sport. I had a Scoff Basement beer which was well poured and reasonably priced. Worth a visit!

I had a larger party in. The service was good and since it was happy hour, they had poutine on the menu. Score! The beer was great and the server knew good things to recommend. I went back again the next day since it was so good. Next time I'm in Atlanta, I'll go here.

Stopped in for a pint at Gibney’s after having dinner at Hsu’s Chinese restaurant down the street. The bartender was accommodating and provided two samples of draft beers. I ended up ordering a local brew- Drafty Kilt. It’s a Scottish Ale with hints of smoke and sherry cask, overall a nice brew. Service struck the appropriate balance and was neither rushed nor intrusive. Overall cleanliness: average Free WiFi for guests

Nice booth layout in a fun bar. Fairly good bar food. The wait staff were very friendly. Would go back!

I think the title says it all.... it's a pub, so keep that in mind. The ambiance is not great but the staff was really friendly and fast, the beer was cold, and the chicken pot pie was outrageous!!! For the price, you can't go wrong!

found this little pub almost on accident but sooo glad we did !! excellent place to sit and watch the Super Bowl. our bartenders, Eric and Rene were great, funny, attentive. Gibneys has a small kitchen on site and we ordered the nachos. there is a 'toppings bar' where you can load up your nachos, and these were hands down The Best Nachos i have ever had. worth it. we recommend Gibneys and the definitely get the nachos !!

Gibney's is a walk up order/sit down dining location located a level below the food court in Peachtree Center. The food is prepared to order and the ambiance is very relaxed. Gibney's is a pub also so there are games and a full bar for after work hours enjoyment.

I went this past weekend during Dragon Con. They had a food line set up in the back and a truncated menu. They did this because of the rush of people (even though it wasn't really that crowded), which I get, but the food wasn't that great to begin with. I don't know if it's better during the "off-season" but I won't be going back.

I found atmosphere at Gibney's to very laid back and relaxing, making conversation with new people very easy. I had their Philly Cheese Steak and it was well worth the value. Gibney's offered a large variety of ale's to choose from, which was important for the company I was with.

Great Burger. It doubles as an Irish Pub. I eat lunch there about 2-3 per month. I work nearby. interesting place

It is a Pub. The atmosphere is dark and Pubby!! We could have been in Europe! I had a burger and fries each time. Each time I had a different server. The burgers are good. The fries are fresh and hot! And perhaps as important, the Servers were excellent! I was made to feel like I was a important valuable customer! Next time in downtown Atlanta I will remember to come here again!

The only place out of dozens during our trip that did not accept our German IDs as age verification. Ridiculous but obviously they are not interested in having tourists as their guests.

Best chicken pot pie I’ve had in years! I will now make this place a must visit when in Atlanta and I highly advise the same for anyone else. Wait staff is super friendly and service is great.

Coming in from backside makes it feel like walking into a speak easy. Good atmosphere, draft beer selection was mostly local beers but a little limiting. Food was respectable but could use some work. Service was good.

Great pub food. My advice is to try a burger or one of the sandwiches on the menu, and eat at the bar. Very inexpensive, and the food comes out FAST. Beer selection is what you'd expect, but good & cold. Also arcade games you can play to kill time before & after your meal

After running the gauntlet of homeless people to get into Gibney's, I found a staff that was woefully inadequate & a bar that didn't know if it wanted to be an urban dance club or a rockabilly dive bar. 5 minute wait times to get a draught beer when the tap is in front of me & there are only 3 other people at the bar is unacceptable. When a fellow patron is continuously served after she says she is "half wasted" is unacceptable. And changing Johnny Cash's "A Boy Named Sue" mid-song to a thumping dubstep track that would easily fit on the "Fast & Furious" soundtrack is almost downright criminal. There are much better options in the area. Life pro tip: Homeless people back off quickly when you adopt a deep Russian accent & call them "bro".

Excellent pub with good food and drink! Had the shrimp po-boy and the BBQ pork...and both were fabulous. Compared the food prices, beers are a little costly, but aside from that, this one is a winner.

We went here because we thought it was going to be a English 'pub' experience but sadly it was like any other bar. There was no English beer but you could buy Guinness. However we had a good evening, we settled into a booth was served by a nice young man and decided to eat there too. The food was very good, it did have English dishes on the menu, Shepard pie, fish and chips etc so I guess it did go some way to being a 'pub'. My partner had the Shepard pie and said it was almost as good as mine so that's a compliment. My Philli sandwich was delicious too. Yes it was well worth a visit, it would be good if they are implying it's a 'pub' they should have some English beer available.

We went there with a large group for food and drinks. We had to flag down the servers for everything including drink refills. Atmosphere was dull and the servers acted like they were just robots. No interaction with the guests, and they seemed irritated with every question. We had to call them to our table for drinks and thins a pub should be eager to do. None of our checks were correct and we were charged for items bought by other tables not with our group. Very disorganized and on the edge of rude. Would never go back....waste of time and money

Gubney’s Pub is right across the street from my hotel (Marriott Marquis), so I have it a try. As pubs go, it’s a large place with bar seating and a side room with tables. A very good selection of beers and plenty of TV’s to watch games. I had the Wings and Pulled Pork Sliders and they were good. If you looking for a safe place to eat, have some drinks and watch games, this will work.

Gibney's had the perfect light meal for my late arrival in Atlanta. This pub/restaurant has a street entrance AND is accessible indoors through Peachtree Center, which in turn is connected by skyways to nearby hotels. I enjoyed a couple pulled pork sliders with a happy hour snack of fried chickpeas and a hearty dark beer called Unknown Teleporter. The sliders and chickpeas were so good, I came back on my last night in Atlanta to have them again, but with different beers: New Holland Dragon's Milk (very dark) balanced by Reformation Oren IPA

First time here with my wife on vacation from California. We came here during the 12 o’clock lunch rush hour. There was a considerable line for the lunch to go orders inside the pub. Most tables were occupied but we could have sat at a six person high top table. We chose to sit at the bar with about 15 bar stools in total. Most were occupied when we arrived and there was only one bar tender handling the bar and it appeared the rest of the pub for drinks too. She greeted us quickly, asked if we wanted a drink and a short time later took our lunch order. She entered our orders immediately and didn’t let us go thirsty all the while handling her 15 customers or more and handling the restaurant bar orders as well. Food was good we ordered a Ruben sandwich with sweet potato tater tots, a beef philly cheese steak sandwich with onion rings. Both plates arrived at the same time and our food was hot like it had just been made prior to delivering toThe TV’s had the women’s World Cup playing and some other sports shows mainly about baseball. We will be back for lunch or dinner during the remainder of our trip. We came back the follow day and it wasn’t as busy, but we had the same great service and food.

We had a delicious dinner. My husband and I shared a Reuben and the pulled pork sandwich. Because of a review that said the fries weren’t cooked enough we ordered them extra crispy and they were great.

Went here after dining at Morton's to grab a couple of quick drinks before heading back to hotel. This pub is within a great walking distance from many hotels in downtown and on a Wednesday night it was packed. We found a spot at the bar after a few minutes and the bartender was friendly and efficient. It wasnt really the place for quiet talk, it was loud, but also completely full and perfect for the end of the evening

Cheyanne was awesome! Such a great pub. Good drinks, good food, great service. Good specials, and a good local beer selection.

What a wonder authentic bar! Cold beer with lots of tap, quiet and clean atmosphere. Chicken Cesar salad was large and very good and the fish and chips was out of this world! Take a walk just a block off the beaten path, you won't be disappointed.

It was late afternoon/early evening so the place was practically empty when we arrived so seating and waitress attention were no problem at all. I had a shepherds pie which turned out to be enough for two. A bit salty but otherwise very tasty. Absolutely packed with TV's like in many American bars...;-)

Ate lunch here on two different occasions. Had the rueben and the chili. Both very good. Not as ethnic as advertised but better than bar food. Can play Keno sitting at the bar too.

I've only been during Dragon*Con. It is a great place to go sit and eat with friends. Beer and Specialty drinks were wonderful. Service was slow, but I would say that's to be expected considering. I had the shepherd's pie which was dynamite.

The menu is typical pub, nachos, wings etc, nothing special nothing outstanding. But... we returned every day because the server was fantastic. He was well informed about Atlanta and recommended some great spots. He kept us entertained on every visit. On the plus side, there is a drink special every day! If ever I return to Atlanta, I'll be going back in to see my waiter.

I wasn't expecting the cafeteria type style of order and wait in line for food they had going on. It was OK, and I'm sure it cuts down on the help needed. Speaking of help needed, there were only two guys working behind the counter on the grill when we went during peak Dragoncon hours. Shame on the establishment I would think for not being more prepared, but major props to these guys. I saw them totally keep their cool when some customers were complete jerks. They deserve raises. They've got some good drinks, too.

Had dinner here with work colleagues during a conference at one of the hotels that adjoin the Peachtree Center. In a packed downtown restaurant scene, our party of seven walked in and sat down immediately with plenty of other seating, which was nice for no wait but also concerning. We ordered drinks and three appetizers to share - fried pickles, pretzels and the best of the three was the nachos. I had an andouille sausage po-boy, which was just okay. Our service was not too slow as was noted in other reviews. I can't really recommend this as a stop for quality food but it was convenient for the circumstances of our group.

Dropped in for a pint before dinner with a G&T for my wife. I chose a local IPA which was pretty good, then had another. Pool tables in the back

We made it a footstep into the place and the stench/smell was horrible - couldn't leave fast enough.

Totally enjoyable evening at this honey of a pub. Food was delicious all around and wait staff was attentive and answered all our questions. Highly recommend the buffalo chips appetizer.

My colleague had been here before and recommended this pub. The turkey burger was pretty good as was the Caesar side salad. My colleague had the pulled pork which he enjoyed. Service was efficient and courteous.

Stopped by at lunch. They offer a deli style walk up and order your lunch from their daily specials or you can sit at the bar and order off the menu. I opted to sit at the bar because I wanted to try their black bean burger. It took forever for the bartender to wait on me. She seemed to know many of the locals having lunch there and was doing a lot of chatting. After ordering it took a long time to get my burger. When it arrived there was no ketchup and she walked away to find some. Eventually I had to get up and grab one off of a table. The burger was good but the bun could not hold up and fell apart after a couple bites. With all of the restaurants in the area I would not hurry to return.

Services was slow. Also read the special menu the server didn't even let me know that there was happy hour specials. Food prices are fine beer prices are a bit on the high side.

Felt right at home here, friendly staff and customers. Great food and draft selection at a reasonable price. Would recommend.

Great place to chill and play some pool. Beers where cold, the bartender was attentive and friendly. Being connected the Hyatt was convenient .

I have been here many times. Good place to go after a day in meetings. Food is good. Prices good. Staff good.

The best thing about Gibney's is its prime location in downtown Atlanta. During the day it is kind of a greasy spoon lunch spot where you go through the line to order burgers, fries, etc. I eat there occasionally. The food is decent, but nothing special. The bar is convenient for an after work drink, but frankly I think there are better options in ATL.

Went with a group from work. Had wings and burgers. The food was good and the wait staff was fun and nice. Great pub for drinks and food.

I ordered the Sam Adams Beer battered cod with fries. It was great. Crispy outside, wonderful inside. Fries are good too. My travel partner had the rueben and was equally happy with her choice. Top it off with excellent customer service from Shawn and it made for a great dinner.

Service was great. Our server went out of her way to talk to our kiddos and help us decide on lunch. Great beer selection (drinks too), my only complaint is my lunch (chili) was luke warm-cold and I just can't do it. I would go back for a drink for sure.

Great pub . We went for a late night meal and it was much better than expected . I had the turkey burger with fries and a small salad , and it was served promptly . The waiter was pleasant and efficient . They have plenty of beer selections including good old PBR draft . Surprisingly great pub with a nice atmosphere and good food . I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice pub for good food and drink .

I went here with a group of colleagues while we were all in Atlanta for a conference. It was louder than I prefer between people and music, but it's also a pub, so to be expected. The food was okay and generous in portions. Prices were fine, but trying to get our checks were like pulling teeth. She brought some of our checks, but not all (not sure why), so several of us had to wait for longer than others. It was conveniently located by our hotel, so it served its purpose for our group (and others) to hang out and, for some, be loud and dance!

7 of us had dinner. Great selection of beers. Food exceeding most of our expectations. I got the chicken pot pie. Very generous portion and was very tasty. Love the signs on the walls. Entertaining!

Right off the Peachtree Center Mall, it was wonderful to walk in AC from our hotel to this pub that knew how to make a real Black & Tan. Food was reasonable (considering the location) and service was good considering we (the conference attendees) bombarded them.

Decent, not great, selection of draft beer. Very noisy, but that was okay. Attempted food starting with pretzel and beer cheese. Both pretzel and beer cheese were horrible. Appeared to be store bought pretzel microwaved to death with watered down beer cheese loaded with spring onions to disguise the horrible taste. Couldn’t get past that to order more food. Drink the beer, skip the food.

We were here just last week with a group of friends. It was the first night of DragonCon and we stayed till last call. It was great. The food is pretty good for bar food. Ordering is a bit strange, as it's cafeteria style. I'm going to have to get the Chicken Pot Pie next time. It looked amazing and a couple of regulars there said it tasted as good as it looked. Drinks are good, and the servers were very polite even though they were stretched thin with the con crowd. We all left happy, and look forward to returning next year.

Good food but extremely slow service. Waitress stood in doorway with back to tables. Never received the fork we asked for. Finally had to go find our own because food was getting cold. Then took over 30 minutes to finally get her attention to get the check. Another 10 minutes to get it processed. Yes, it was a busy weekend, but it not full when we were there.

Just stopped in for a beer and received great service from John behind the bar. We were really just stopping in to ask directions but atmosphere was great and staff was very nice so we decided to have a cold one. We then got great directions to a nearby destination.

Very close to major hotels such as the Marriott Marquis and Hyatt Regency. I was looking for somewhere close to my hotel that had a nice pub atmosphere and reasonable prices, to have a late dinner and watch some MNF. Service at the bar was quick and my glass was never empty long. Pricing definitely better than inside the local hotels. Wings were excellent. Ordered the hot flavor and they didn't disappoint. It was not busy, but to be fair it was a Monday night. Things were picking up when I departed around 10 PM. Will go again if my travels bring me to downtown Atlanta.

We visit Atlanta once a year on business and the manager recognizes us from year to year. Great people skills. Convenient to Merchandise Mart and downtown hotels and is a great place without long wait times during trade shows. Food is excellent, service is quick and atmosphere is friendly.

We were a group of 8 people, went after office hours on a Thursday evening. Service was pathetic, they had only 2 people serving the entire pub. And beer collection is not so great. Food is below par, the cheese and chicken were so greasy. I can't believe how they are running this place like this, in a busy downtown area. There are much better restaurants in the area.

The waitress rates a10 she was busy but did a great job The tap beer was a little flat the glass not sparkling but still ok The food was good We got in late and we're staying nearby gurneys is all that was open at that hour Yes would go again

Nachos possibly the best I have ever eaten. Kitchen times good. Doorman very nice. Server not so nice. Worse thing was the air. Smoke filled and nasty. Overall very good food, average service and very bad air.

I am an event planner based out of Colorado. February 25, 2014 I hosted a party for 150 people at Gibney's. It was fantastic. The staff is the crowning jewel of the establishment. They were so incredible helpful. From Renee who stayed 3 hours from when she got off just to help out, to Marc who was willing to help with anything from the moment I arrived to set up at 7:00 PM to 2:30 AM when I left, to Ryan, who has an absolutely incredible ability to remember who gets what drink in a packed room, to Chris, who assured me all along that "they had me covered." The location is just a block and a half from where our conference was, so it was very convenient. The room is spacious, clean, and welcoming. The TV screens everywhere are a nice touch. Coming in from out of state, I was nervous about having an event at someplace I had not been to yet. But they made sure everything was great. My only complaint was that leading up to the event, communication was a bit difficult at times. But it is a very busy place and I know that is something they are working on improving. If I return to Atlanta for a conference, I would hands down choose Gibney's again.

We came here after the first stop didn't have a great late night menu. Atmosphere was great. Our server was great and so was the food. Fish and chips were fantastic!! We were in there for a bit however after the table next to us started smoking we were out.

I was in Atlanta for a conference and stopped here for a beverage and a bite. I had a Bloody Mary and the fish and chips. The food was average, the portion was a bit small for a fish and chips dinner. There were 3 small battered deep fried pieces of fish. The amount of fries were generous. The drink was also just average. The service was pretty slow. We finally asked another server to send ours over. The place wasn't overly crowded, I think we just got that one person who wasn't terribly good at her job. The price was excellent, pretty cheap for downtown Atlanta. I might go back for drinks, not so sure for dinner.

Dashed in during a rainstorm -- great service!. Food servings were large and well-prepared. Can enter from the Peachtree Center food court -- easy walk from Hilton, Marriott Marquis, and the Hyatt via indoor walkways.

Since this was walking distance from several hotels we decided to give it a try. The street entrance makes it easy to access. Our server was attentive & friendly. The food was also pretty good & came out fairly quickly. The nachos were good as well as the quesadilla's. Plenty of food for the money. Tons of TV's around if your trying to catch a game. The bar did a good job on our drinks too.

Went here on business with a colleague and it was a nice little pub with decent food for a good price. Will go back for sure.

Gibney's Pub is a great place for lunch or casual dinner while you gather with friends or family. Use to eat here all the time before moving office buildings, so a few of us stopped by today for lunch. As we remembered! Fresh cocked burgers, dogs, sandwiches, salads and kick butt chili. Some of us went with the burgers, some the famous chili Frito pie and taco salad. Gibney's has beef, turkey, veggie chili and it is always freshly made. I had the taco salad which is a spin off of the chili frito pie with fritos, lettuce and turkey chili. Gibney's has a topping bar so you can load up your meal with things like onion, tomato, lettuce, cheese, olive, salsa, sour cream and pickles to mention a few. Gibney's has about 20 beers on draf and the bar is fully stocked. They have 2 pool tales, darts and other entertainment. It was good see in a city like ATL that some of the finer, small places still around and serving wonderful food.

What a great quiet dark pub to have a pint and relax. I appreciated the Angry Orchard on tap, and loved the fired pickles. The shepherd's pie was outstanding as well. An excellent stop (twice) during my time in Atlanta.

Stopped here for light dinner with the family since we were on the road and not looking for a big dinner. Had wings, some soup and another appetizer type dish that I don't remember. All were perfectly edible, came in reasonable time and weren't excessively expensive. Good local beer. Pub atmosphere. Would return.

I am very one dimensional when I eat here because I am learning to get into Irish pub fare. I love the wings and I eat here often because it is very close to my workplace. I also appreciate the sweet potato tater tots. I am into price points and I think that this place offers fair pricing for what they offer. If I lived closer, I would definitely treat this place like a local hangout for drinks. I can't say much about the service because I only do pick ups. They are always ready when I drop by and I would definitely indulge in their drink specials if I had the time.

An enjoyable place nestled downtown where you can buy the bartender a shot if you don't want to drink alone.

After a long day of driving, we checked into the Hyatt. Room service was to expensive & so we searched for local places that were close. There was actually an entrance to the mall from our hotel which was perfect because it was raining out. I ordered the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger & it was amazinggg!!! I struggled to finish all of it. I also had a mixed drink that was over priced but good. There were a couple people playing some games but it wasn't loud or anything. My only real complaint was that our waiter was not the friendliest & that our pickle chips tasted fishy. Other than that I would return.

I've visited Gibney's several times over the last seven years or so while visiting Atlanta. Staff is always friendly. Food is typical bar food. Good beer on tap. Not the greatest spot in Atlanta, but not the worst. I'll always stop for a beer if I am in town. Beer is a little pricey, but that is typical for downtown, I assume. For instance, Spacedust was at least $7 for a pint. That's a bit steep.

Yes, it was busy, but it took forever to get served and then even longer to get the food. The food was ok, but nothing great. We were tired so I'm sure it would have been a fun place to hang out.

My work mates and I needed a place to eat a late dinner after working a show all week. I felt the menu had a decent selection of food and a good variety for a pub. Wings and mozzarella sticks for appetizer were great and the burgers were good also. Beer was very cold!!

Met some coworkers here on a Tuesday night before a sales meeting the next day and we decided to try the "Irish pub" a short walk from the downtown Marriott. I thought I was in trouble when I asked for a half-n-half (half Guinness, half Harp) and the waitress said, "half of what"? I knew I was in trouble when she also informed me that they also couldn't make a Black-n-Tan (half Guinness, half Bass or Smithwick's). Yes, I'm aware Bass is from England. Pro's The food was actually pretty good. I got the Southern Belle hamburger, which was good, as were the tots. Everyone else said their food was good too. The location is very convenient to several large hotels and businesses. Con's Well, you can't call yourself an Irish Pub and not have Harp and Bass; without them you are just a bar. The waitress was downright peeved when I jokingly said the sign out front was false advertising. She quickly informed me that she was not responsible for the signage. Of this, I had no doubt... Overall The food was good and I imagine the service is fine too, so long as you don't kid them about not having Irish beers.

Had a good lunch here with some co-workers. I had a burger with onion rings...everything was cooked well and our server was very attentive.

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere. Friendly and very welcoming. Good food. Good vibes. Couldn't ask for more. Special note, our bartender Eddie? Absolute diamond of a guy. Such a good bartender, thank you so much. You made this night great <3

I've worked in Peachtree Center off-and-on since 1980 - on this gig since 1999 - and have seen a slew of restaurants, taverns and saloons come and go. Having said that, Gib's is a long-term tenant and very good saloon and bar food joint. The beer is cold; the drinks strong enough and the burgers, dogs and chili first-rate. It's easy to access from both the Peachtree Center Mall and Peachtree Center Avenue. If you're looking for a downtown saloon, you will not be disappointed!

If you are looking for an Irish experience do not go here. It is a nice bar in downtown Atlanta. Why is it not Irish? Although there are about 4 "Irish" dishes on the menu, there is no bangers and mash and some other dishes. Although there are a good amount of beers on tap, there is only 1 "real" Irish beer and that is the regular Guinness. Most draft beers are local brews or American or the normal imports (Heineken/Stella) No Irish music playing, no soccer on tv etc. The food quality was good and the service was good. So in short, good food, good service, Bad Irish beer selection.

A pub it is. Comfort food and great drinks. The size of the portions will make you ask for a to-go box (I hope). Typical of what you would expect for a pub menu and well done. Beer selection is excellent.

Best wings I’ve had in a long time, the sauces were so good and they slid right off the bone. Truffle fries were amazing too. 10/10 service, highly recommend stopping by if you’re in town

good beer selection, good service GREAT WiFi... worked there for 3 hours with no hangs or disconnects. cool vibe too

We were in town for DragonCon and had walked a mile+ to pickup our registrations. We found this place downstairs in the mall and were very happy to have a cool place to rest. This was a late Thursday afternoon and they were packed with DragonCon attendees. One waitress, so the service was slow, but she was doing the best she could, poor girl. The beer was good and cold which would have made me give them 5 stars! The food was very tasty and filling and watching the patrons was hilariously funny!

Did not really have any English beers. We stopped by late on a Friday night and there were not many people. We were there for about an hour and finally people started drifting in but only to play pool. We really thought it would have more authentic beers.

A group of us were staying at the Hyatt Regency for a conference. Gibney's pub was attached to the hotel through Peachtree Mall. I really wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The place is rather small, with an area of tables and booths in one room with pool tables, and another area of seats by the bar. There were 12 of us in a group and we assumed we would have to break up and be seated separately. They were able to push two tables together to seat us. They have a good, varied menu with something for almost everyone. People in our party had fish and chips, Quesadillas, nachos, pretzels, burger, chicken pot pie, and salads. The food came out fast and everyone's orders were correct. I had the nachos with beef chili and they were great. It was a huge portion. Everyone said their food was great. We ate at several restaurants, and I can say this was the best meal and most inexpensive meal the whole trip. I do have a warning for groups eating together. When the waitress brought out our ticket, the bill was all together. We asked her to split it up and she said they didn't split tickets for groups. This would be good to know up front. Not all of us had cash and one person got stuck putting the total ticket on their card and the people that had cash paid her, but some people had to promise to pay her later. I've never had this happen before in a group. I think if we had known this up front, we either could have split up or worked it out before ordering. This should be a policy that is made clear up front to groups sitting together. Other than that, I would highly recommend Gibney's. God food and good prices.

My husband and I are very happy we found this place. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. The server was very attentive and wonderful. If you stop in you have to try their margaritas!

We were in town for Momocon and had taken a break from all the hustle and bustle. Had already done a search of food in the area because of the what do you want for dinner, I don't know what do you want song and dance. Started walking from the Hilton and stumbled across this little gem. It was around 7 PM and the place was a bit slow. Grabbed a booth and were promptly greeted. Our server, Jordan, was friendly and knowledgeable. Got the buffalo chicken dip and fish and chips. All awesome with our server being very attentive. Typical bar decor with a pool table. Was it an authentic "pub" experience? Well, there were no kilts or accents but loads of smiles. A couple of families were having dinner so it is kid friendly. I would come back anytime I'm in downtown Atlanta. If you want a true pub experience go to England, otherwise Gibney's is a nice alternative.

A group of about 15 of us staying down the street at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis wandered in here at about 10pm on a Wednesday night. When we walked through the door, the 5 people or so that were in the joint - their heads all snapped around and stared at us, as it they were saying "who the h^ll are you guys and why are you in our bar"? We didn't make eye contact, backed slowly out of the place, and went looking elsewhere for a more welcoming place to have a drink.

I had an excellent shepherd's pie (waitress recommendation) and a couple of Guiness. This bar seems convivial, and the food & people are certainly excellent. [Downtown Atlanta has a serious pushy-mendicant issue. (No, I don't want to answer your question, I don't care about your problems, and I don't need your help. Go away.) People avoid visiting downtown because of them; if they weren't there I'll bet this downtown would bloom.]

It's just across the street from the Atlanta Marriott next to a Benihana Steakhouse. Food choices were not just Irish, although the Shepeards Pie was excellent. I asked for the Reuben sandwich and had to come back the next day as the cook said the Corned Beef was too old to make a good sandwich. So I did, and it was one of the best I've ever eaten outside of a New York delicatessen. Beer selection was good, but no Smithwicks irish ale the days I was there.

Went for drinks after dinner. Great service, friendly waitress. Fun place for friends to meet up. TVs with sports on, friendly crowd.

Stopped by for lunch during a conference. Seated right away by a friendly barmaid, who even took my order (there was a sign saying it was deli style serving for lunch). She made a great recommendation for a beer (forget the name, a local Scottish ale). Had the Shepherd's pie. Very tasty. Very reasonably priced, too.

Maybe we just hit this place on an "off night". I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but the Hilton put this place on their list of "recommended places to eat" and I think they need to remove it. First of all, it is convenient to the "convention hotels", but the atmosphere of the mall it's in is depressing. Very few folks there on a Saturday night, lots of games on the TV's but I don't think you could hear them over the hoardes of minors playing pool, hitting the floor with the pool cues etc...you get the picture. Our food..salad, fish & chips & chicken strips were adequate, nothing to write home about for sure. The service...astoundingly awful. Went home wearing someone else's order, as our waitress Brittany dropped their food at our table. Splattered everywhere & she cleaned it up with paper towels & didn't do a very good job at it, so we sat there through dinner looking at someone else's food on our table & the floor & of course our clothes. To me, this was the opposite of what an Irish pub should be...sorry to give an average rating, but this was my experience.

Not too big so it's a bit more conducive to conversation. The food was hot and really good! We had the pretzel and cheese sauce as an app and the fish and chips! try them.

Stopped by on a Wednesday and the place was packed! Decibel level was high and that's to be expected at any Irish place worth it's Guinness. Good snacks, reasonable prices. Only Irish Pub in DT Atlanta that I'd recommend!

Slow service. Not great food. Fish and chips were bad. Shepherds pie was meh. Cool decor on the walls. Tv's were too small and oddly located. Downtown location was convenient.

Located down town and close to all kinds of touristy spots. Just stopped in for a late night snack and a beer. I had the shepherds pie and my wife had the fish and chips, and both were great for pub fair. It was fairly quite the night we were in but the wait staff was great and the beer cold. The only thing that was a little concerning was that they were fixing one of the restrooms, so it was everyone using one and the wife was not to happy about that. All in all, good food and friendly staff that made for a good night out.

Not too many inexpensive places open for dinner after 7pm in downtown Atlanta within walking distance of our hotel. This was one of them. Had a basic hamburger, and it was good. For $10 it was good and filling!

I come here pretty much every trip to Atlanta, the food is good, the beer is good and the TVs are good. I have never been disappointed, whether for lunch or drinks in the evening this is one of my mainstays.

Really happy to find this gem of a pub while in town on business. Full of locals, with a great vibe. Gibneys' has a nice menu, I only wish I could have eaten here more than once. Nice bar burger friendly, casual service and lively crowd even on a weeknight. I would definitely explore the menu more if I went back but a nice find.

Nice lunch spot and beer stop at the Peachtree in Atlanta. I have been here twice and I’m not from the area, got my nails done and it was next door, near the waste of time, hungry and thirsty. Very nice a lot of pictures on the wall bartender exceptional. The food was really good. I would definitely recommend going here if you’re in the Peachtree area in Atlanta..

Great food, friendly staff, good selection of beer. Went to the other "pub" close by and they could not be bothered to serve me, but here was awesome.

Ate here due to its close proximity to the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, where I was staying for an FBLA conference. Our waitress was attentive to our large party of eight people. I had a burger and a side of sweet potato tater tots. The burger was very good and the tater tots were outstanding. Great food and looks like a great pub as well!

I expected more from the outside but when I walked in I was a little disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, the chili was awesome (which is why it got three stars). But it doesn’t feel like a traditional pub on the inside, as I expected.

Arrived in Atlanta today and visited Gibney's for a quiet beer this evening. However we were asked for ID but despite producing a British driving licence, were told that this was not acceptable ID under "state law". Apparently only a passport will do but we had locked these in the hotel safe like most sane people. So Gibney's here's the thing:- it may well be state law but I am now in my 3rd bar in Atlanta today and no one has asked for ID (this is probably because I am in my 40s and anyone with any common sense can see I'm not under age). Please stop claiming to be a British bar if you won't accept a British driving licence as ID. And for all you Brits out there, if you come to Atlanta,PLEASE don't visit Gibney's. They obviously don't want you and there are lots of bars more accommodating. Let's face it, it's their loss!

If you are staying at the Atlanta Hilton or the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Gibney's Pub is a good option for meal outside the hotel. They are known for their burgers but I chose the fish and chips. I also had the french onion soup which was very good. Good atmosphere, nothing exceptional but I would go back.

We we walking around Atlanta trying to find dinner. Everything we ran into seemed to cost $25+/person. We stumbled upon getting gibneys and I am glad we did. We ordered a buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer and it was amazing. My fiancé got a philly it was good as well and one friend got a French dip and it was just as good. For two people with and appetizer food and two drinks it was roughly $45. If ever in Atlanta for a long time I will visit again. Also our server Samantha answered whatever questions we had about the area.

I was staying nearby at the Hyatt for a conference and wasn't up to walking too far on the first evening after a long day. I ordered the turkey burger and fries to go since a turkey burger is something I would've normally consumed at home anyway for dinner. The fries were okay, but nothing special, no seasoning, just plain fries. The turkey burger was obviously not well packed. It was crumbling and falling apart as I attempted to cut pieces to eat (since I ordered it bunless). The taste of the turkey burger was also just okay without much seasoning. All in all, I'd say what I get at home is about the same as the turkey burger I had here. Average. Service was fast; the food was brought out to me within 10 minutes after I ordered. They did not provide me with any napkins in the to-go bag, which was annoying/frustrating.

This location is off the beaten path of many restaurants in the city, but is always full with locals and a few travelers like me. Beers are under $5 and a pitcher is under $15. Apps are good servings and decently priced. If you are staying at the hyatt or marriott, and want to have a decent meal for a decent price, take a close look here.

We had been in Gibneys 4-5 years ago and liked it enough to find again. Nice pub with a good selection of beers and great pub food. The staff is friendly. A nice place to headquarter if you are staying downtown.

We come from a rural area so whenever my husband and I go to a city, we always love to go to local pubs. We were staying at the Marriott Marquis and we came across Gibney's less than a block from our hotel. The bartender was friendly and we sat up at the bar to order a local brew and eat an appetizer. The atmosphere was low key and pretty quiet...people just visiting and enjoying a beer with light music in the background. We stayed for quite a while and made plans to come back each night for the rest of our 4 days in Atlanta. Much to our disappointment the next night was much different. We sat up at the bar and ordered our 'usual' and within 15 minutes, the waitress was over at the jukebox picking out hard rock music and turned up the horrid music so loud you couldn't have a conversation with the person next to you! We left within 20 minutes and never went back. This little pub could be the gem of the city if the owner wanted it to be. What a shame they don't take advice from other pubs and make it a place to come and have a drink with friends and not have your ears blasted out by music that doesn't even fit the pub scene. So disappointed.

We went here from the hotel as the reviews on here were pretty good. Service was pretty good, but the food was not very good at all. The wings we found out were smoked a day or two before (we asked because you could tell) and the chili was ok, but odd tasting. I would not eat here again to be honest. We were all pretty disappointed.

We stopped here for a drink before dinner and was more than welcomed even though we said we weren't dining. A good choice of national, international and local beers.

I was looking for a great mall in atlanta and found peachtree...was highly disappointed...BUT stopping for lunch at Gibneys helped. I had a chicken breast sandwich with sweet potato tots...OMG thee best! I believe I had a martini as well. Delish! Sports bar and grill feel..great place to grab a burger.

Decent and tasty menu and full bar options with nice staff. Probably not for the kiddies after 9pm. However, to fully do this place justice, there should've been a band or DJ. Overall a really nice ambiance and decor.

Met up with friends the Wednesday night before Dragoncon and had a nice time. Hubby had the Caesar salad and said it was very good. I had warm pretzels--extremely salty but tasty, and everyone else simply had drinks. They did not have the ingredients to make the first cocktail I chose off their menu, but this seems to be a curse that befalls me. It is in a good location.

Was in Atlanta for work. Our first night there, we just needed a cool bar to chill out and relax from a long day of traveling. We found Gibneys right around the corner from the Marriott Marquis where we were staying. The place was busy but not packed. We just got some bar food for snacks which was great and we had beer, of course. Great place with a good vibe and feel. I wanted to go back later in the week but we were stuck at the hotel the rest of the week. I would definitely recommend Gibneys as a great place to relax and have some beers with friends. Cheers!

Went with two associates. Bar tender was nice fella. Beer was way cold. They burry the bottled beer in ice. Never seen that shade of blue on a coors light bottle. We had a couple of appetizers. The chicken wings had good flavor, but we’re dryer then dust. I guess they smoke the wings then fry them. Dryer then a popcorn fart. Not good. The nachos were ok. They drench them in nacho cheese sauce. That’s ok if you like that. I don’t. So I ended up ordering a philly cheese steak samich, because the other stuff sucked. Now the samich was very good. Wished I started off with that. I would go back, but stay away from the apps.

We stopped in for a late bite to eat. The service was fast, food was good & reasonably priced and the atmosphere was fun. It's an easygoing place that everyone can enjoy.

Upon arriving in Atlanta our last trip we had a number of people who were meeting each other as they also arrived. We were directed to Gibneys Pub. Great service and atomsphere for hanging out and catching up. The menu is versatile and had some great local brews available. Definitely a fun locale!

I was not impressed. There was no one at the entrance to tell us that we needed to go to the back to order and then seat ourselves. The food was not great. I had fish and chips, the fish seemed like frozen stuff that was dunked into a deep fryer. My kid had Shepherd's Pie and said it was really greasy. There are so many better alternatives in the immediate area I would skip this place.

Gibney's earned bonus points from the second we sat down just for offering Angry Orchard on tap AND on special! It's not easy to find any hard ciders on tap at all in Atlanta so this was a treat. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, despite the Dragoncon crush. We just did appetizers - BBQ wings and chicken fingers - but both were excellent.

I had a couple of lovely sandwiches here while I visited Atlanta. The staff were great and the beer was also good. A great place to watch sport also

Traveling solo in Atlanta for a conference, I was searching for a place to eat dinner. I stopped in here and took a seat at the bar near the window. The place was bigger than it looked from the outside. I asked the bartender what dishes were good there and from the suggestions he gave, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, fries and a garden salad. I'm not sure if it was because I was so hungry, but everything was delicious. If I'm ever back in that area of Atlanta, I would like stop in again.

Amazing staff, amazing food! Shepards pie was out of this world! A full pitcher of Angry Orchard for 20 dollars - unreal deal! While being in Atlanta for 5 days, we came here 3 of the 5! Definitely recommend this pub for cheap drinks and bar type atmosphere!

My wife and I stopped in for a quick bite and some adult beverages. Good service and friendly staff. The Pork Tacos were very good and served hot. My wife's Georgia Peach was good with a good portion of the spirits. Would recommend this place for meals or drinks.

It's a decent lunch spot just below the Peachtree Center mall area. Food is prepared by some long time cooks who have personality. It's a laid back group. The menu is large and varied, and service is relatively quick. It's your typical bar food fair, but you can grab some pasta or a salad. The interior is dark with lots of TVs, pool and shuffle puck. During the day, lots of business folks drop in, and I suspect the evenings bring a hotel crowd. Burgers are pretty good. You can dress it up how you want.

The chili here is awesome. Very hearty and full of flavor. Definitely not canned stuff. Location is great for happy hour after work if you work downtown.

Has a great shrimp po'boy. Friendly service and generous portions. The cashier had great recommendations. Loved the tator tots.

This is a great little pub right in downtown Atlanta. Of course, I ordered a specialty drink from the menu, and she came back later to tell me that they were out of one of the ingredients. Our server never came back to ask us if we wanted another drink or anything. But the atmosphere was fun. We only had a drink, no food.

Monday Night Football still playing, albeit less than 2 minutes to go, time to fire up a cigar paired with a Woodford Reserve. Friendly and fun staff gives Gibney's a welcome feeling. Recommended for your late night gathering.

The service was so bad. I'm still shocked.Waitress wasn't polite,& even after complaining nobody acted. In the contrary it didn' t interest anyone. We also had some problems with payment. We we're a group of seven and we couldn't pay seperately. So 4 had to pay with one card. And the other 3 with another card. Thanks god one collegue paid the whole bill. But afterwards it tooks us a long time to devide it. A pitty.Never again. But food was very good.

We are on our way to another restaurant, and we happen to pass the Sandwich Board outside of this Pub. So we decided to pop in and look at the menu. It was intriguing enough that we sat down at a table. We're glad we did. Husband had a burger and said it was very good. There were lots of English style foods to choose from. I had the shepherd's pie. It totally hit the spot. Drinks were reasonable. Wait staff were friendly and attentive.

I stopped in here for an early dinner last night, as I arrived for a weeklong trip in Atlanta. This looked like the only table-service restaurant in the midst of a large food court in Peachtree Station, and I wanted to relax a while, so I gave it a shot. FYI, you can enter from the street, but from Peachtree Center you have to go down about 20 steps. I seated myself in a bar booth and was quickly greeted by a server who asked me if I wanted a food menu, as I guess a lot just come for a drink, especially as it was only about 4:30. I asked about the chicken pot pie and were told they were out. So I ordered a french dip (I guess the French get a long better with the Irish than the English) and was asked what side I wanted. After going through what the mixed veggies were, and the soup of the day, I landed on the side salad. I asked to be paced and get the salad first, and wait a while for my sandwich. This was apparently too difficult, as the sandwich came a couple of minutes after my salad (which came with the wrong dressing the first time). I was waiting for my server to come back for a drink refill, and when she didn't, I got up and asked another server to assist, who said she would, but failed to do so, until I again got out of my booth and someone in the kitchen saw me trying to get someone's attention. Then the "alternate" server refilled my drink. I finally saw my server shortly after, but at this point I didn't need her. When I got the check, my sandwich was $3 more than the menu price. When I asked her why, she said, "I'm new. Maybe it's because of the side salad" and went to check with the manager. When she came back, she simply confirmed, "yeah, it's because of the side salad. Is it OK if I run this now (I had given her my credit card). I told her no, and that I'd like to talk to a manager. I would have expected the manager to have just corrected the check, since the server not only explained nothing, but just asked me what side I wanted. The manager told me that everything came with fries and that everything else was extra, and was ready to do NOTHING to correct the check. I was firm and told him that when the server tells me to pick a side, I should be able to pick a side. The server (to her credit) told him that she didn't know that others were extra. The manager was still reluctant to fix this, but finally sighed and said he'd take care of it. The "corrected" check came and they took my soda off, as apparently they are unable to adjust food from the check. Seriously! What unnecessary aggravation. The food was just OK, by the way. Salad had microgreens rather than iceburg if you care for that, and the sandwich was a little salty even before dipping in the "jus" but I like salt.

First time in Atlanta and we stopped here for a beer and pulled pork sandwiches. It was awesome and the food was so good! Will be returning when in ATL again!

Great pub atmosphere and delicious fish and chips. Reasonable prices and large beer selection. Friendly wait staff.

Unfriendly bartender, she acted like she was pissed off the whole time we were there. Half ass responded to questions we ask. And that was on Friday Feb 28.

We were just people-watching around Dragon Con and it happened to be lunchtime (just after the parade concluded, apparently). This was perhaps the poorest time to try to get lunch in the area, but oh well. Most places in Peachtree Center seemed to have lines, except for Gibney's Pub. We ventured down the stairs, found some empty tables, and *then* saw the line. It wasn't too bad, though. We ended up waiting about 15 minutes before eating. Our party got a hot dog, a half BLT, and a chicken salad sandwich. The food was okay (pub grub). The staff was efficient, and one was even in costume. The other diners were mostly convention attendees, so we got to see all manner of people (when else can you see The Dude, The Joker, and an adult Ralphie in a pink bunny suit at lunch?!). One observation: it appeared you had to order anything from the bar separately. I wasn't enthused enough to wait in 2 lines, so water was fine. The staff did well serving the throng that showed up today, so kudos to them.

Comfort food in a comfortable, easy setting. This was a very nice place to have dinner & drinks with friends. Even with the bar crowd and large screen televisions, the noise level was low key enough to encourage conversation. Staff was friendly and professional.

I went here with about 8 of my colleagues for lunch. We ordered our food, picked it up and got a table. Nice. Pay when you order your food and then you can linger as long or as short as you want to. Some large tables for large groups and smaller ones for smaller groups. And the food is great, with huge portions. Make sure you share a sandwich! I'll be back when I am in town.
Good Pub Food
I've eaten at Gibney's Pub many times. it's a very comfortable place to meet for drinks and dinner. The location is great.
