The beer selection is excellent and the food is not your typical bar food but much better. We have tried several items on the menu and each one was fantastic. Dave the owner is great at pairing the perfect beer for your taste. I would highly recommend this bar.

My family and I were staying at the Hilton on the waterfront. This restaurant was walking distance. My kids enjoyed a cheeseburger and fries. My squash salad was very good and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his lamb shank (It was huge!). There was an extensive selection of beers-which appealed to my husband. My Rose was good as well. Service was great. They were very attentive. Family friendly restaurant with good food!

We had a wonderful visit to Glory.... the beer selection is fabulous and the staff is awesome...a really cool touch is vinyl records playing while you enjoy your day at Glory...

We sat outside because we have a dog. The food was so great. Try the Chicken pot pie and french onion soup. They were fabulous. the pot pie had a great light crust. We also tried Mac and cheese and it was one of the best mac and cheese I've ever had. the prices are very reasonable three of us $60.

Definitely a must visit! Atmosphere was amazing - friendly, great decor, vinyls for music, and fabulous beer choices. Staff were absolutely incredible and very knowledgeable about beer. Will definitely be back!

My hubby & I have been to Glory a few times already ~ top notch beer selection with excellent Belgian brews as well as local American brews! The food is top notch as well! 3 varieties of homemade pot pies are available ~ we've tried the chicken and hunters pork pies so far. Excellent!!! The buratta salad with grilled peaches is simply amazing ~ refreshing and beautifully presented! Wow ~ the cheese & salumi board is also beautiful and oh-so-delicious! So happy that Glory is open for lunch & dinner. Looking forward to returning to try more food & drink!

We visited Glory at the recommendation of our hotel. It was snowing and we wanted something close. I didn’t want a $20 burger from the restaurant in the hotel. We had wings, grilled cheese and Mac and Cheese. All were amazingly good. The Mac and cheese is probably one of the best I have ever had. So creamy. The grilled cheese is definitely an adult grilled cheese. It’s served on Texas toast and has charred tomato (and I added bacon). The fries were perfect and served with s spicy ketchup and a horseradish aioli. Seriously delicious. The ambiance is simple rustic. I highly recommend.

Extensive beer selections and very tasty dinner menu. Good table spacing as well as outdoor seat. Big screen TV 📺 shows Philly teams.

This is a great place!!! The bartenders have a fantastic sense of humor and give great service. Great selection. Food was really good and they accommodated our request for thin scrapple. Every time I am in Philly this is a must stop.

Swung into this newly opened restaurant and loved it. Had the octopus salad and husband had the short ribs. Both were great! Lots of other menu options still to explore. Beers were great. And loved the space amazing bar. Great addition to the area.

New bar on Chestnut street finally opens. My wife and I waited a long time for this and were very excited to attend soft opening last night. We came to know the owner Dave from his many years at Eulogy Bar next door. As the many fans of this old bar know, it closed down last year with much sadness. We frequented this old spot several times and were consistently amazed at his knowledge of beers and overall wit. We had some of the most memorable times of any bar anywhere in the world sitting and drinking with Dave at the helm. When we learned that he was going to start up his own place we were thrilled for him and couldn't wait for the day. This appears to be the first review of many more to come. Great open space with lots of room at the bar and gorgeous natural wood everywhere with brick walls and soft lighting. There were several bartenders all of whom were very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about the beer. We ordered some local craft beers then switched over to some Belgian beers-all were great. Overall there was 36 beers on draft. Not much in bottles yet but this will be growing very soon I was told. The menu is relatively small and simple yet diverse and each of the items and ingredients look really great. We ordered an octopus salad to start which included arugla and shisito peppers and other pickled veg. This was a great combination of flavors and hit the mark for me. Then we ordered the Dill and Pickle plate which had hummus and olive tapenade and other spread plus flatbread which was all very good. Lastly we shared the Porchetta Sandwich which for us is sort of the "holy grail" of sandwiches. We love the Philly standbys of this sandwich at DiNics and Johns Roast Pork. Glory version is definitely different and unique by the large cut of pork on the crusty bread as opposed to sliced like the others, but the main highlight for me was the crunchy and crispy edges of the meat which makes this sandwich so delicious and tasty. The food prices are very reasonable from $8 for apps up to $15 for Prime Rib burger. The beers prices go from $4 on up to $10 for drafts. Glory will be a great addition to the old town bar and restaurant scene. The bar officially opens on August 15th. Looking forward to its success and having Dave pour us some beers in his very own bar.

This is the third time we have gone here. Each time I have tried different food and beers. Every time it has been great. The French Onion soup is delicious and hearty, as is the Glory Burger. My husband is vegetarian and has enjoyed both the salads and the grilled cheese sandwich. The beer selection is also very good. The staff is always friendly. I highly recommend!

My family and I are at Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen in April 2022 and enjoyed our experience. Food: we ordered charred octopus as our appetizer. The dish was scrumptious and it came with leek, fresno, spinach, and aioli. We split a burger with fries and salad for our main. The burger was made to temperature and quite delicious. Service: the wait staff were all courteous and professional. The did a good job recommending beers from the vast selection. Decor: spacious and not loud. We had our seven year old son with us and we were all able to enjoy our conversation and ambience. There was ample seating at the bar, and throughout the restaurant. Cost: a fair price for what you get. Our total bill was around $73 and that included three beers.

This place is amazing. We held my son and fiancés Welcome Drinks here on February 16, 2024. The room was perfect and the food was delicious. Dave was awesome to work with and his staff was great! The night was PERFECT! Be sure to check out this place if you need to host an event or to have lunch or dinner. Some of our wedding guests had dinner there and they said it was delicious!

Fabulous location, great food, amazing beer menu and the signature cocktails are to die for! Dave is a master at pairing food and drinks! The best restaurant I have been to in a long time!

We were staying in the city for the weekend and wanted to try someplace different. We both like beer and the reviews were good so we tried it. We weren't disappointed. I had a glass of the Hudson Valley Confetti sour and the French onion soup which was excellent! It wasn't too salty and the balance was perfect! We also ordered the wings which were tasty. The housemade bluecheese was delicious...My husband had the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. He liked that as well and he accompanied that with a mug of Bitburger premium pils.

I suppose that it's too much to expect that the home team would win. The draft beer options are extensive. The food also tasty.

What a great find! Kevin’s porchetta was amazing! It was an amazing, flavorful selection with a generous side of fries. Alex was super knowledgeable about his selections of craft beers, and he made many excellent suggestions including Kwak in a carriage glass. Dave was a gracious, accommodating and generous host! Thanks for making our afternoon memorable!

Outstanding beer list, great food options, and great service. What more can you ask for? Great location in Old City, a few blocks from Independence Hall. If you’re a beer lover, you will not be disappointed!
It sure is Glory!
A new gem in Old City! Listened to some new wave favorites on vinyl while exploring a variety of delicious beers and cocktails. Alex the bartender is friendly and knowledgeable and makes you feel welcome. Along with sampling many of the extensive beers, we had lunch. The menu is creative and the food is delicious. Katie is very accommodating in serving lunch and gets whatever you need with a genuine disposition. Dave the owner makes each customer feel like a VIP and takes interest in making sure your drinking/dining experience is top notch. The bar is a beautiful walnut and the restaurant has a cool, hip decor in this restored historic building. It's a great spot to go to with a few friends, a date or in a large group. Will definitely be back!
