We just left this place after 4 hours of wasted . We wait two hours to get a table at this place . The lady at the front desk have no clue and pretty much she is disorganized. After we finally get seated we spent another hour waiting for the food and we finally get our food after three and half wait . We order OJ for my 18month old grandson and our waiter told us they are out of OJ . The wait, lousy food, cold coffee, and bad customer service needless to say were not coming back to Gocha . By the way watch your bill as well our waiter tag on 20% auto gratuity to our bill even though we are only two ppl - myself and my daughter. I gave the waiter another $15 tip with a total tip of $31 for an $84.00 bill . I wasted 5hours for a Sunday brunch that is not worth my time and money.

Ok, the wait was a bit long and the service, just a minute slow, BUT get here for the food and breakfast bar atmosphere!!! I enjoyed the chicken and waffles. Gocha's didn't just take a southern staple and replicate it, they made it great. The chicken was flavorful and JUICY and the waffle was moist with a touch of sweet. I also had the friend fish which was amazing. I sat at the breakfast bar in the back, so I saw the food being prepared, and I was impressed. I saw good hygiene and food care, so rest assured, they have the customer in mind. The server was friendly and helpful. I do think going on Father's Day made the wait time and food delivery times long, but it was definitely forgiveable due to the great food. I look forward to going back.

Finally came through for the Sunday brunch after hearing about it from so many friends. Be prepared to spend a good couple of hours here if you visit on weekends. First, if coming on a weekend day, make the reservation a week in advance. Once you get there, you might still have to wait like we did. We still waited 30mins after our rsvp time. Once inside, the place was packed to the brim. Despite this, we got very good service. I do wish our server checked on our table a bit more frequently, but we could see he was overworked, due to the Sunday crowd. For drinks, I had the strawberry mule & my wife had the house champagne. We got the krunchtastic French toast to start, which was amazing, and held the crunch, even with syrup. Then I had the salmon croquettes, which came with the sides I chose of scrambled eggs, biscuit, and breakfast potatoes. My wife had the salmon, egg & cheesecroissants, which she raved about. Tables are only for 90mins technically, but it'll probably take you this long to dine on the weekends anyway. Parking is free in the lot. They also have a food truck in the parking lot if you want to get it & go. Lots of traffic in this area as well. But still, go and enjoy their menu!

My husband and I visited Gocha's because of the advertisement on Fox 5 news. The camera man made it appear as if this was the place to go if you wanted good brunch food. However, he failed to mention the customer service and staff.Good food means nothing when you've waited 20 minutes to be seated 15 minutes for water,25 minutes for juice and another 20 minutes for food. I wanted to leave, but we had driven so far and I was terribly hungry.Yes, they took our temperature before entering, and the faces of staff were covered, and it was clean. But the bar was crowed shoulder to should, and no one wore a mask. The place got so packed it was hard to social distance due to COVID-19. Not to mention the restaurant was tiny as an L-shaped matchbox. I waited 25 minutes just for orange juice that was warm, and a barely warm biscuit. I was so stressed out by waiting and the crowed until I needed a shot of vodka to put into my juice. The owner apologized and stated they were understaffed, but the experience was so disappointing. We drove 35 plus miles through traffic from the far end of North Atlanta to feel as if I was in a night club at 10 am in the hood. Plus, our bill was $72.00 for shrimp & grits w/ 1 piece of fish, 3 biscuits, orange juice w/ 1 shot vodka. My husband had bacon, eggs,1 waffle w/ potatoes & water. The motive was to support an African American woman's business. But, the server did not know the menu, there were 10 plus people in a crowed kitchen & only 2 working the floor. My husband has been in food management for a luxury brand industry for 30 years and was simply stunned by the service. Yes, the food was good, but that means nothing when it's overpriced, and you have untrained staff representing your brand. I will never go back there again and would never recommend this place to anyone. My husband didn't get upset over the bill because he said he would never return or recommend this establishment; not even to his clients looking for places in Atlanta to dine or executive co-workers.The concept is good, but this place still has much to learn about service and overpriced food. I left with my heart simply broken and overwhelmed with shame for the owner. All of the enclosed should be strongly considered before opening another location. So, I give 1 star for the food and the other for the owner because I felt her heart was in the right place. However, the business needs real structure and in house training, the night club music at 10 am needs to be reserve for a the night club setting,a real chef and a more reasonably priced menu. This restaurant screams black customers only. Respectfully, Dr. Chris Hogan

Was told our wait was 45 minutes for a party of 4. After 45 minutes We were told that the wait would be another 15 minutes. Confirmed with the lady at the door that we were next on the list to be seated. Watched several people go in and be seated while we been waiting. After the added 15 minutes we were told that a party of 7 had a reservations that was made to the manager phone that the hostess were not aware of, that will cause us to wait another 15 minutes. Bad experience. Manager needs to have a better waiting process set up. Would not recommend.

Love, love, love this place! The food was so good and fresh. They have the best shrimp & grits I’ve ever tasted. The pancakes were so buttery and the fish was fried to perfection. The best part about this place is the service. Everyone is so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Our orders were taken quickly and we didn’t have to wait long on the food. We will definitely be back the next time we visit ATL!

It was everything I wanted in a breakfast place. Accessible, clean, good service, friendly staff and most of all really good southern breakfast and food. We got there later in the day so we had to wait but it was well worth it. Very excited to see southern breakfast take such a good turn. Run don't walk. If there was anything that I could complain about is that they could have had a better wine list. But most American Restauranteurs and their customers really don't care much about wine. But I really enjoyed this place.

This place is everything. I truly enjoyed my meal, service was on point, environment was enjoyable. I had a steak skillet and pancake and that skillet was delicious. Only compliant was it took forever to get the food. But when it got to me it was amazing!

I had heard of the establishment did weeks and finally went on a Sunday late morning. More on that in a moment. Blueberry pancakes come with bacon and were superb. Side of creamy grits also awesome, more appealing to my taste than the jalapeño grits. Arriving we put our names on a list. We later learned that several people had also signed up but were waiting in their cars (on this cold morning) for a text from the greeter. Space around front door is crowded and uncomfortable for waiting and you stand there watching others eat. They need to build a room partition or curtain to mitigate the awkwardness of eating in front of anxious, hungry neighbors. The manager is a brilliant artist who cares but seems to need managerial help so she can soar. I’ll only go back only on off-peak times. A winner for the SWAT.

The reviews didn’t lie—Gocha’s Breakfast Bar was amazing! Super clean, great vibe, and the fresh-squeezed OJ was on point. My girlfriend had the Cascade Sunrise Breakfast, and I had the veggie omelet with sausage and a pancake—everything was cooked to perfection. No wait, plenty of parking, and our server, Lawrence, was excellent. Highly recommend!

It was probably one of the best breakfast menus I have seen in a longtime. I couldn’t decide so my friend and I decided to go with the following items… French toast (crunchy edges and soft and succulent), shrimp and grits (savory and scrumptious) , bacon (crispy and syrupy sweet), pancake (probably one of the next I’ve had) , and potatoes (seasoned to perfection) I wanted to go again before I left but I didn’t have enough time! I will be sure to go back the next time I visit Atlanta! !

My son and his girlfriend raved about this place -- specifically the buttermilk pancakes, crab cake sliders and seafood omelette. I invited his cousins -- in town for his retirement celebration for brunch. Everyone enjoyed the meal -- even me as the sugar daddy uncle for the tab. So much until I left an extra $50 tip on top of the 20% expected. Food was fresh, presented well, tasted perfectly. And, yes they were right about those buttermilk pancakes. Come early as this place is usually packed and lines were there on a Sunday morning, starting before they opened. Be patient while you wait, you'll come out smiling. My spot for good food when I visit my son bi-annually

The wait was about 40 minutes but it was well worth it. I was in the mood for pancakes, and I was completely blown away. They were nothing short of amazing. They were thin and buttery. I also had shrimp and grits. The shrimp was seasoned to perfection and the grits were nice and creamy. The strawberry mule was really good as well.

I'm a big breakfast fan this isn't my favorite breakfast spot but I'm glad that I tried it. I'm not the biggest french toast man but I definitely enjoyed the French toast here in the potatoes were good. The service was great we went on a Saturday morning in the wait wasn't that bad. We got there around 11 a.m. but the crowd started coming a little bit later than that. It did take a while for the food to come out but it was hot.

Made reservations for Sunday brunch after church service and they didn't disappoint. There was plenty of parking, we were seated early, atmosphere nice and pleasant . The food didn't disappoint. Will visit again.

My bestie chose this place for breakfast and it was a pure delight! Our server was friendly and hospitable and the food was just delish! The owner even stopped by our table to check in on us. It made the experience so personable. I will definitely be back!

I wasn’t sure about this place when I saw the location but it was a great find! We got the trio with a side of bacon so that we could try as many things as possible. Everything was delicious! Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and fun.

My husband and I were two days back from an international trip and needed some familiar looking food. Gocha's Breakfast Bar was our choice because I wanted their tasty Tuna Melt. Kelsey was our server and she served with professionalism and excellence. She is certainly an asset to the establishment. We are always proud to patron a black owned business and see excellence as the benchmark. Keep up the great work Gocha's and Kelsey.

My sister and I had breakfast at Gocha's food and the service was excellent. The servers are very professional and polite and the food was very good. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and my sister had eggs, grits and chicken sausage. Our food came out quick and was nice and hot. Overall this place is great Gocha was very hands on preparing dishes. We will definitely be eating here again whenever in ATL.

We are regulars at Gocha’s Breakfast Bar, and today’s visit was truly unforgettable. We came in to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday, and the service exceeded every expectation. Lawrence, our server, was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm in making sure everything felt special. Bernard, our bus boy, was just as amazing—efficient, kind, and thoughtful in every interaction. Their combined effort turned an already wonderful breakfast into a celebration we will always remember. It’s service like this that keeps us coming back and makes Gocha’s stand out as a place that doesn’t just serve food, but creates experiences. Highly recommend!

Omg I had the best waitress, that Lady Jasmine W took exclusive care of me while I was there, she went over and beyond what I expected as a employee. I will definitely sit at her station ever time I come in. I hope all your employees have that same energy that she has. I will be back soon and will be bringing guest with me. The food was a 10 out of 10 so me and my party will definitely be looking for her when we return

Yesterday I went to this breakfast spot upon a recommendation of friends visiting from California. The raved about the grits. 1st thing 1st, don't bother to ask for cheese! You'd be wasting your time!! The only thing these grits need, is a fork😊! The south has NEVER tasted grits this good. Chicken and waffles, fried fish, and home fries, can be found here, just to name a few; However, I had the best biscuits and gravy I've ever eaten!! The service was fast and the employees were extremely nice, respectful too. Right down to the manager confirming that each customer enjoy their meal. If you don't try this restaurant, you'd be doing yourself a disservice! 💖💗💕💟

A W E S O M E experience. Went here for breakfast on my birthday. Totally exceeded my expectations. Service was exceptional. Can't remember my server's name, but she was great. Very attentive, personable, was there when we needed her, but not overbearing. The place was cute, clean, and comfortable. the food and mimosas were AHMAZING. Will definitely return, and recommend Gocha's. Keep it up peep! :)

This is my first time eating here for breakfast after two unsuccessful attempts. What made this time successful over the other two was I placed a to go order online. I highly recommend that as an option because there is often a long dining wait and they do not take phone orders. I’m happy to share I can see why this place is so popular, the food is amazing. I had the salmon croquettes platter which included two salmon patties, eggs, grits, and a biscuit. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. There was even a tamper proof label on the food to demonstrate the food had no been disturbed after being boxed.

Having lived in Atlanta most of my adult life, and now live out of State, I am always excited to try new restaurants while in town. On this morning, we started our day at Gocha, after strong recommendation from family that live in the area. Most of the tables were taken, so me and my two companions, ages 9 & 5, sat at the counter. Sitting at the counter was quite a treat for my love bugs - the hustle and bustle, the chatter of others at the counter, the closeness to the chefs and food preparers - they loved the experience! Though we saw many delicious looking dishes being served to others, my food was pretty underwhelming. I had the Cascade Sunrise Breakfast. The eggs were cold, bacon overly crispy, toast was room temperature and I buttered and potatoes were under cooked. YIKES! That being said, my love bugs loved their food choices of pancakes and eggs. Because it’s in the neighborhood of my family, I would give it a try again, but make different food choices.

I visit ATL often and wanted to try a new breakfast spot. Gochays was really good. I had the Meat Lovers Omelet and an Original Mimosa. My omelet had Pork Sausage... Chicken Sausage... And Bacon in it. They don't allow substitutions. It comes with either grits or potatoes. I got the potatoes and they were pretty good. I'm not a biscuit person but I tried it just so I could review it and it's actually tasty. I sat at the bar. I was shocked that they actually have a FULL bar! The bartender was ok. The place seemed clean and was fairly full. I heard on weekends the line could be out the door. I'd definitely return again.

I haven't written a review in a while, so when I was deciding on my re-entry point into the writing a review world, Gocha's Breakfast Bar was a no brainer! If you love breakfast food (which I do) you will absolutely love the food here! I've been to both locations Atlanta(Cascade) and Fayetteville... I was pleased at both! There are so many things to enjoy on the menu, it really just depends on what you're in the mood for. The shrimp or salmon grit cake, skillets, avocado toast or the breakfast bowls are all amazing and I ALWAYS get the pancakes.. NO MATTER WHAT!! Believe me when I say, you'll be mad if you don't! The service is always excellent and the food comes fairly quickly! The ONLY THING is... be prepared to wait! It is what it is... I think they just put a lot of Love and Passion in preparing every plate! Ohhhh, and did I mention they have a full bar?? ... with fantastic drinks... :-) When in Atlanta or nearby you have to make time to grab Breakfast @GochasBreakfastBar Thank me later!

Great breakfast place. The grits bowl was very good, and the meat lovers' omelet was great. Z was a great server, attentive and courteous .

This is one place you need to be there when they open, because a line soon starts afterwards. Decided to order their salmon croquettes, grits, and of course their biscuits. While others ordered their wrap... Can say we weren't disappointed, because my full plate had disappeared. They had system problems, and that was really deep as we waited and waited for our check ✔️.. however, Vie came along and apologized for the inconvenience..

We had to head from the airport to Rome, GA, NW of Atlanta, and needed to stop and eat along the way. We were looking for something other than fast food or a chain restaurant (there’s an Applebee’s across the street.) So happy we found this little gem! From the young lady who greeted us at the door, to our super friendly server, to the young man who brought out our food - everyone was solicitous and friendly without being overbearing. Food was excellent - we had the lump crab skillet dish (with two perfectly cooked eggs on top) and a Tuna Melt that was maybe the best one I’ve ever had. Such an interesting menu - wish we could have tried more dishes! Would love to go back there if we ever find ourselves in that area again.

I wanted to share my experience with everyone. Gocha’s owe me nothing. My son came home from a visit and we decided to try Gocha’s in Fayetteville Ga. It was beyond what I expected. The food was impeccable. Our waitress Ms. Keys gave us great customer service. Thank you all for the experience 💚

Great food and service. Greeted promptly by a masked employee, seated, served and out in less than an hour. All employees in gloves and masks.

Food was amazing. The salmon crochet, eggs with jalapeño cheese grits, homemade peach jam was delicious. The GM corrected a issue with the miscommunication among staff nevertheless the food and management attentiveness gives them a 5 star rating. If going on a Saturday expect a slight wait however we didn't wait long (15 minutes).

The food is amazing! Great flavor, great portions and great service! I had the steak skillet one day and the Cajun creole gulf shrimp and grits one day and both plates were more than satisfying and so well proportioned I could have made 2 meals of them. The servers are attentive and personable and this will def be a stopping point each time I visit ATL.

My friends and I dined at Gocha's Breakfast Bar on this past Saturday and it was delicious. The pancakes had me wanting to go back on Sunday. I was determined to get there early to beat the crowd and was successful. Also, try the Hawaiian Mimosa. It was delish! We will definitely be back!

The food here is amazing, however, how it’s ran is very disappointing. On two occasions I have had to wait over 1hr after quoted 45-1hr. On the last time visiting, we waited almost 2.5hrs. They have to do better with the quoted times. The restaurant is almost empty and we are still unable to put in an order because the kitchen is behind. I love the food, but they have to do better. Waiting over two hours and then still wait at the table because the kitchen is backed up is just too much.

The Cascade area of Atlanta has been waiting for years to have a great place to take family and friends for a fine breakfast or brunch. Well, its finally here at Gocha’s Breakfast Bar located in the Publix Plaza at Cascade. First impression - they really spent money fixing this place up. Very up-to-the-moment decor - grays, browns, wood tones, sealed concrete floors, open ceilings. Everything from the bar to the kitchen is open so you can see what’s going on. I was in the area for a meeting and so had time for a quick breakfast on my own. I had the Cascade Breakfast, which was comprised of two perfectly cooked eggs - over well, which so many cooks don’t get browned nicely but this chef knew to cook them just right - delicious grits, attractively garnished and neither oversalted nor over buttered. The biscuit was great, neither too firm nor too fluffy, and had a nice sweet glaze on top. The bacon, however, was the hit of the meal. It’s maple glazed so its the perfect combination of salty and sweet. And was cooked just right - neither floppy nor cremated. The coffee was also excellent. I feel like Goldilocks saying that everything was “right in the middle” but its true, and same for the coffee - just strong enough but not so strong that you couldn’t have a second cup. And the cups, by the way, are big, so you can fix your coffee just once and not fool with constant refills and starting all over again. I was delighted with the meal and can’t wait to go back with my family.

Visited on Cinco de Mayo for early start. Arrived around 1pm & were able to get seated in less than 5 minutes as we opted for outdoor seating. Had drink specials for Cinco de Mayo and the grapefruit margarita was good and strong (just like I like it) . I had the fish and grits and my partner had the Chicken and Waffles. Both were extremely tasty but be forewarned, the jalapeno cheese grits are Spicy. Tasty but spicy. The server was really attentive and the vibe was nice for Sunday. Great addition to the Cascade area. I will most definitely return. Oh, They have bottomless mimosa Monday- Wednesday also.

I am a registered nurse who just worked a 12hour shift and came to gocha breakfast bar with a coworker for breakfast. Although our server Kelsea was amazing and offered great customer service ! The first issue i had with this establishment is they didn’t have the drink my coworker ordered. The second issue there are gnats flying around. The third and BIGGEST issue i was REFUSED plastic silver ware when asked ! Our tab was easily over 100.00 between the two of us and whether i spent 10.00, if i a paying customer prefers plastic silver ware i should not be denied the choice ! I spoke with the manager (the owners son) who advised he “doesn’t make the rules he just enforces them” and literally would rather lose a 100.00 tab than give me ONE plastic fork ! This place is DESPICABLE and i will NEVER return here ! You try to patronize black owned restaurants and really spend money within your own community and your faced with asinine guidelines such as these ! I’m disgusted !

When we arrived, we were greeted by a nice lady and seated immediately. We were in town for the Falcons season opener home game celebrating my birthday. The place is extremely clean and the staff was nice. Our waitress was excellent. I do not know her name but she has a boyfriend stationed where we live. The food did not disappoint either. The portions were healthy and tasty. My mother said she wants to come back!! Everything was top notch. We went to another local black owned restaurant and received the opposite. Please take note from here how customer service is provided. Absolutely NO complaints. The waitress was sooooo nice. The female from the kitchen came out and spoke with us- just so personable. I asked for Gocha but she was not there Monday September 16, 2019 to give her an in person compliment.

This is actually a review for the one in Fayetteville, GA but she could stand her own in Atlanta. The service by Adria was excellent. The food was excellent. Good stout coffee (just like Nawlins). The fried green tomatoes we had for an appetizer was excellent, although the remoulade sauce was spicy spicy! My husband ate every tidbit of his large plate (Fish and Shrimp on cheese grits with a side of jalapeno puree - not on menu but available if you ask). I had Salmon Croquettes, eggs and cheese grits. Really tasty! Now if they just offered Beignets, I would have thought I was in Nawlins. Can't really blame them tho - that stuff is messy!

The food was good, the customer service was great. There was good music playing, but it was too loud for me. I have been twice and enjoyed it both times.

We were greeted with a smile from hostess to table cleaner. This is a joyful place to have breakfast. A diner type atmosphere with a bustling kitchen. The food was delicious and bountiful! So much so you may want to share a plate with your companion. The biscuits are as good as my Southern Grandmas’ and the cocktails top it off. There’s an outdoor seating option too.

My wife and I were seated at the bar to avoid a 30 minute wait. You have to wear a mask to walk to an area where you will be seated shoulder to shoulder with strangers.(not very sensible) The food was good but really overpriced. I was goin to tip $10 but a 20% gratuity was already added to the bill for sitting at the bar. The music was acceptable for a bar during nighttime business but a little much for breakfast.
Great food, lousy wait time
My daughter and son in law took me there for my bday. We got seated at 10:45am, waited for about 15 minutes to be served, and then about 30 minutes to get our food. I watch "Bar Rescue" with John Taffer, and I know if he was there he would had went off on the staff. The place need to be bigger to handle the crowd. The food was good and I would go again but order online, and pick up my food instead of waiting.
