Best B.L.T. Ever.

Love going to Goodfriend Package for lunch. Super chill staff that know their sandwiches. Many options and everything is fresh. Wifi and tables to work at. Plus great coffee!

How the Mighty has fallen

By Chazz DC |

Sad. Goodfriends started as a niche gourmet burgers and craft beers restaurant and has become just another Redneck “sports” bar. It “features” many versions of taste-alike IPAs. (Apparently rednecks think IPAs are “fancy beers”.) And the burgers/fries are heavy with redneck heart-attack levels of salt. In other words, Goodfriends is perfect for its neighborhood. (Plenty of room to park your huge pickup truck, or your 6-wheel tractor (but not your 12-wheel trailer).

So many new brews to try!

By SCarson2015 |

The wall of coolers are packed with so many different brews you could spend an hour trying to decide what you want to put into your 'make your own' 6-pack. The guys at the counter are super-friendly and knowledgeable although we had just heard of a new brewery in McKinney they had not yet heard about. Parking is a bit of a nightmare if you're just going in for a few bottles...but if you're planning to load up or take some to 20 Feet (BYOB) across the street then it makes it worth the trip. I haven't tried the food yet, but plan to pick up some sandwiches soon. More to come!

Great Reuben Just Down the Street

By czmdivenut |

Just down Peavey road a little more than a mile. Really good reuben! A vast selection of beers. Also have a lot of side options as well as a coffee bar with cappuccino, lattes etc.

Breakfast!

By 60cash |

What a great place for breakfast! Lots of avocado toast choices, along with eggs, scrapple, breakfast meats - all served over sourdough or potato “hash”-actually fried potatoes. Also,pancakes...collocated with an excellent coffee bar, we ate in, but many were carrying out as well. This is just a few blocks from the Arboretum, so it’s a great first stop for your day.

Great deli on the east side of White Rock Lake

By Dave S |

It does not look like much on the outside but this is a great local deli on the east side of White Rock Lake to grab breakfast or a sandwich. I have not had breakfast here but they open at 7 am and have a variety of breakfast items as well as a traditional coffee shop to go with it. The coffee is good but perhaps a little pricey. The sandwiches are very good, they smoke their own meats so I don't know if fresh is quite the right word for it, but it is better than packaged. They sell it until they run out for the day or close at 8 pm. The best for me is the smoked ham and cheese and I have had the turkey and reuben sandwiches and they are all good. There are also chips and a variety of sides available. Note about the reuben, I am used to more of a east coast style reuben with shaved meat that is pinkish. Their reuben is more what I would call a Texas reuben with a thick cut. It comes with 1,000 Island and souerkraut but the corned beef is a bit different. So if you are craving the shaved kind of reuben you may want to steer to a different sandwich. As the name Goodfriends "Package" indicates, they also sell beer and have a series of about 8 large coolers of craft beers and ciders to pick from. So if you want a drink with your food you are in luck. They also have pop and water if you want that instead. • Seating for around 22 with two large community tables (8-10 each) and a couple of small ones • Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the sandwiches • WiFi is available • Easy to get to from the Dallas Botanical Garden or if out by White Rock Lake • No outside food or drink allowed so don't bring it in. I feel like that should be a "duh" • A laundry mat is next door in case you need to wash clothes

Ridiculous good sandwiches and beer selection...

By rudyruru |

These sandwiches are insanely good and totally legit. Locally sourced meats and in-house prepared. The roast beef sandwich with swiss and red onions is honestly the best sandwich I have ever eaten. It is sliced ribeye....yep...sliced ribeye. I'd say right now there are at least 400 varieties of beers to grab to-go. In the mornings they do a solid breakfast biscuit. I myself don't drink coffee, but, Cultivar Coffee sold in the store seems to do a robust business. While waiting for your food, there is a small record selection to thumb through. Small, good little collection. Place has good vibes about it. Enjoy....

A grilled cheese sandwich & cup of tomato soup . . . what else do you need?

By Mark S |

Had the grilled cheese (American on white bread) and tomoto soup today for lunch. As always, the soup was hot, tasty and thick. The sandwich was toasty & filled with gooey cheese.

Lunch break

First time coming in based on several recommendations. It's delicious. The menu is hanging over the deli counter. The servers behind the counter were nice. One of the guys explained how the restaurant works, broke down the menu and made me feel welcomed. The Reuben was really good with plenty of thick, quality roast beef inside. I was surprised there weren't chips or something included because of the price, but it was so filling that I wouldn't have had room for anything else anyway. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the breakfast menu. The Avocado Toast looks really interesting. Oh, and they have a coffee bar on one side of the restaurant with a counter with seating. It's an unexpected gem inside of a shopping plaza.

Outstanding!

This is an offshoot of Goodfriends Beer and Burger house across the street. These guys also are the owners of the Blind Butcher on Greenville. The food is OUTSTANDING... Great food, outstanding beer selection, friendly staff, freshly cured meats. What more could you ask for? I have had breakfast and lunch here. the Breakfast sandwich is freshly made sausage and the egg was VERY good. Lunch I had the pastrami on rye... maybe the best I have ever had. My friend had the roast beef.. also very good!

Love the small quaint storefront with the rustic meets industrial feel. Prices are higher than average, but so it product taste and and quality!

Fabulous breakfast

Fabulous breakfast menu -- especially their in house biscuits! Loved the choices for breakfast and want to return for lunch. This place is a "dive" but oh so good!

Nice people. Good service.

Nice people. Good service. Extensive beers. Interesting place. Innovative menu. Very average food. Just thought the cheese fries were too dry. Our sandwiches had great meat but the mixtures of condiments didn’t seem to work.

I dropped by Goodfriend Package in Dallas and loved the energy—from the strong beer selection to the mouthwatering, house-made sandwiches. The blueberry biscuits and pastrami sandwiches are real standouts, and the vibe is laid-back and cool. It’s a solid spot for breakfast or lunch if you’re craving something elevated and casua
