This is a place I read about a lot when it opened. And I went there once about a year ago, and I remember it being pretty good. But tonight, a busy Friday, the place was hopping, filled with pretty people-- and the food was just not good. I got pozole. It was bland, with dry stringy pork-- and didn't include any opportunity to add my own onions or cilantro. Chef must have thought he could do it the way I want. And I got a taco with bland meat and a tortilla that crumbled into soggy flecks as soon as I tried to pick it up. I used a fork. Two drinks, one taco, a bowl of soup and the little thing my wife got cost $56 plus tip. Maybe we got unlucky. But even in Seattle, there are dozens and dozens of places, ranging from trucks, to former KFC's, to nice sit down places that serve Mexican food that is much, much better. (The people working there, however, were very nice, very professional-- and the drinks were good. So only the food was a disappointment.)

During a visit to Seattle, friends took me to Gracia in Ballard. Every dish we had was well-prepared and presented--even down to the unusual plates. Worth a trip to Ballard.

Gracia does a very good job of presenting Mexican cuisine to people who appreciate fresh, inventive selections. This comes at a price, though, so you have to be willing to spend to sample the menu and enjoy what's on offer from the bar. This is not a place to take families with kids. It's grown-up Mexican, and they do it well. Margaritas will set you back $12 easily and once you add the chips and guacamole, there goes $50 before you even know what hit you. Happy hour is one way to stretch your food budget if you can find a good seat at the bar.

My daughter and I tried this restaurant for dinner after reading some good reviews. We were VERY happy with our choice! The food was excellent, the service was excellent and the ambience very nice. We plan to return.

We ate at this relatively new Mexican restaurant and came away impressed. The food is good, the portions are reasonable, happy hour is every day with a dollar off tacos, margaritas, and beer. We had chips and salsas ( big bowl of chips with 4 salsas: pico de gallo, a mild tomato, a habanero, and a tomatillo, homemande and chunky), fish tacos, and two different kinds of pork tacos. All were generous with fillings, all tasty. The pico de gallo was exceptionally good. The house margarita is high quality; there's a good tequila list if you want to swap in your favorite, This high-quality fresh food isn't cheap: chips and salsas are $6, tacos are two for $8, the house margarita is $12. Entrees were available at between $18 and $26. Service is a little rushed in this popular palce; falg down passing servers even if they are not yours. This isn't a great place for any but more adventurous kid eaters, as this is not Tex-Mex-with-lots-of-cheese Mexican food. Crowded and noisy. Sit at the counter in the back if you want to watch food being made. TV on mute and showing sports. Parking is horrible: take a cab or Uber / Lyft.

I have some time between appointments and walked into Garcia and sat at the bar. I had not heard about Garcia but glad I stopped by. I ordered a whiskey and escabeche which consist of pickled carrot, cauliflower, onion, chiles. Let’s just say it’s spicy but good. The place isn’t very big but it has a good ambiance. I didn’t have reservations and got lucky as it got backed in the 30 minutes I was there. Highly recommend making reservations. The area where Garcia is located is pretty likely and I believe they have some outdoor seating as well.

I really liked the music and the atmosphere of this little place. I had the salad (green bean, peach and cilantro combo) and special pork tacos. They were both very delicious. Flavor layered through every bite.

We were able to get a last minute reservation on a Friday night, which made me fear that this might not be a very good place to eat. fortunately, I was wrong and the food was terrific. We started with one server who could not explain what pibil was, even though it is on the menu as an ingredient. I was able to discern that it meant pork, which was important since we had vegans dining with us. After that, they swapped servers for us and things went much more smoothly. It was very strange as if the lady didn’t even work there but pretended to. The salsa sampler is very delicious and provides a range of flavors and heat levels. The chips very good and we ate several bowls of them to the point we could have been full from that alone. The guacamole was flavorful with a lot of garlic. For the main meal most of us had tacos of various kinds, with the fish tacos by far the most delicious in my view. After all the chips and salsa, two tacos were more than enough for a meal because the meat or fish is plentiful despite the small size of the shell. The enchiladas were large, as was the stew and other items. The cocktails were good but really small for the price.

This charming, friendly, store-front style restaurant in Ballard is worth a visit. Everything is made to order and from scratch, so this is a good place to come for a leisurely meal. The staff is friendly and helpful and we have found everything to be delicious. We enjoyed our first visit so much we have been back several times, with (adult) family and friends. In contrast to complaints about prices, we find that, compared to other fine food restaurants, the cost of dining here is very reasonable, considering the high quality of the cuisine and service. In fact, our lamb and pork tacos had to be eaten with knife and fork, as they were too full of delicious meat to pick up and eat by hand, and even the usually prosaic quesadilla is elevated here to something very special. I usually would not order churros on a bet, but here, they rival the best canele I ever had in Europe. (And if you can find anyone who makes canele well in Seattle, please let me know.) As others have observed, this is not a quick, inexpensive meal for a family with small kids, nor for friends looking for cheap well drinks. Folks accustomed to limitless free corn chips may be annoyed at having to pay for them, here. We found that we had plenty to eat without them, but did enjoy them and the guacamole is very good. So, of the new places we've tried recently, this is the best.

This tucked-in restaurant in Ballard (uber-hip neighborhood in northwest Seattle) pulls you in with colorful throw-pillow booths flanking the entry. More so, color describes the flavors of the drinks, desayuno and botanas (brunch and bites at the hand-hewn wooden bar) and even the serving dishes in this funky Mexi-bistro. I loved the tacos heuvos (available until 3:00 p.m.) with a grapefruit cocktail. Can't wait to try the heuvos nachos or other atypical brunch items I eyed. Plates are gorgeous handpainted porcelain, bowls are glazed terracotta, platters are polished hardwood. Simply sublime.

This place opened recently on Ballard Ave. in Seattle (Ballard Neighborhood). I have been here several times and I love the food and the presentation of the food. The tacos are all awesome, I have tried a couple soups, and the guacamole and salsa are fresh and compliment the thick homemade chips. It's a little pricey at $4/taco, but it is not a taco truck and you can watch the chefs prepare the food.

This gem of a Mexican restaurant offers some interesting dishes beyond the traditional fare of burritos, tacos and enchiladas. The flavors and combinations of ingredients are inventive and complex. Our party of 4 each enjoyed our menu choice. The torta special was absolutely delicious! Between the 4 of us we tried all the tacos and they were each outstanding. The guac was perfection, but we definitely could have used more chips. The house made chips weren't my favorite - too thick for my liking, but still enjoyable. We went on a Sunday around 1. Be advised that the street is closed on Sunday due to the Ballard Farmer's Market. This means difficulty finding parking and lots of crowds. But if you've never been to the Ballard Farmer's Market, it's definitely one of the best around, so for us it was a bonus and worth the extra effort. The Sunday menu is a bit different than the online menu. There are some breakfast/brunch selections and other entrees are limited, so I'm sure we'll be heading back on a week day. I would say the portions are on the small side and many of the menu items are a bit on the pricey side, but for the quality of food and the great flavors, it is worth a bit of a splurge.

An unexpected lunch time trip to Ballard led us into Gracia! Great accident! Duck Hirache rocked! A mini tostada of sorts. Octopus salad was a shade too spicy for my timid taste, but so good I kept eating! Lamb taco also excellent --exceptionally thin tortilla. The two of us shared these three dishes & was plenty for a light lunch. Excellent presentation, too!

We wandered into this restaurant without knowing anything about it and we came away with fine gustatory memories. The atmosphere was nice, the service was great and food was excellent. My husband and I both enjoyed our food and we would certainly recommend it for anyone looking for great food. Not even the fact that we got a $44 parking ticket (we didn't know there was a meter), takes away with the nice memory of good food.

Came here for a family dinner. Fun atmosphere, easy street parking and good food. As a vegan, the waitress knew immediately what I could have, and told me of all the substitutions. Made it simple to order. Guacamole was fresh and plentiful. Tacos are a good size and shells are house made. Great spot if you are wanting some south of the border cuisine!

When I'm away from Tucson, I am always on the lookout for Mexican restaurants. I heard that Gracia, which specializes in Oaxacan cuisine, had recently opened in Ballard and decided to give it a try. I found the ambiance and service to be fine but the food did not live up to my expectations. I went in for lunch and was surprised to see that chips and salsa with guacamole cost $6 or $7 with salsas. A server told me that they were made in house, so I wanted to learn how these measured up to the homemade chips I am served for free in the Southwest. The Gracia chips proved to be overly thick and way too greasy, but I thought they were tasty. The guacamole -- rich and creamy -- was excellent. I also ordered two tacos -- pork shoulder and lamb, which cost $4 each. Both tacos were quite small, about half the size that I've eaten elsewhere. I found the pork to be tough and hard to chew. The lamb had really good flavor but I didn't think the meat went well with a tortilla, which seemed to distract from the overall taste. I liked the ambiance a lot. The front of the restaurant is essentially a bar with stools, high tables nearby and standard tables against the wall. The middle section features an open kitchen with more stools and booths. Accents include pressed tin and ceramic tile work. A statue of La Virgen de Guadalupe stands at the rear near the restroom area. Contemporary Mexican music plays in the background and does not overwhelm. I arrived around 2 p.m. on a weekday. A friendly server took me to a table almost immediately and gave me a menu. She took my order quickly, delivered my meal in a timely fashion and remained attentive. About 20 other diners were already in the restaurant and a few others arrived while I was eating. The parking situation has become so bad in Ballard that I recommend arriving here well before you want to eat to ensure finding a space in time or coming by public transport. It is easier to find a parking space on weekday afternoons than evenings and weekends.

We've just returned from dining at Gracias in Ballard, Seattle. I use the word dining here in its loosest sense. We'd been to Gracias before, but we'd seen the service deteriorate over time, becoming more and more hurried, lapidary, and, tonight, finally, down-right rude. We had friends from out-of-town visiting, who wanted to eat Mexican, and so back we went. I made the mistake to ask a question about an ingredient I didn't understand, citing that I'd like this time to know what to expect, and the young lady waiting on us turned on her heel as though to suddenly attend to something more pressing—like a fire in the kitchen perhaps—only to send the bartender to take her her place. He was fine, but the young lady continued to hand us hard stares and petulant glances. It would have been amusing if it were not so ridiculous. When we were done, she ran past and threw the bill onto our table. Literally, threw. I know this sounds made up, but I cannot make this stuff up. Why the man who'd helped us did not bring the bill is beyond me—perhaps some rule about who gets the tip got in the way. I couldn't even withhold the tip as we were six people and an automatic gratuity had been applied. I paid and left. My friends wondered why I did not put up a fight, but, to be honest, doing so in some way would allow the restaurant to improve, and I cannot see that happening. This is not for them. This is for you.

Gracia recently opened in Ballard and is a great addition to the numerous restaurants in the neighborhood. It features good Mexican cuisine that is wholesome and upscale but not pricey. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. Our service was good. I plan on returning.

Great food, wonderful company, delightful atmosphere all made for a fantastic evening. I loved their guacamole. I have tried this dish since the age of fifteen-never liked. I was urged to try it again here with the assurance it was outstanding, too my surprise it was very, very, very good. So, much so that when I awoke yesterday a month after my trip to Seattle, I was craving some. I actually called the restaurant to see if they would ship. Atlas, they do not ship. The fish tacos were recommended as the entrée we must order. I remember the initial sensation of the different fresh ingredients melding together tasting awesome. I loved them. It felt like a party in my mouth until my tongue detected some heat. I can’t abide any heat or spiciness in food. My son forgot his mother does not do spicy. With that said his dad remarked they were excellent! It was really great meeting our wait staff Faustine and Jared. Two thumbs up for their excellent service. While food is the main focus of any restaurant the design esthetics are just as important. Gracia did a wonderful job with their décor creating a wonderful ambiance for their diners. Upon entering I experienced a very warm and welcoming feeling. It was like we were dropping by a friends place for supper. Everywhere I spied was very clean including the facilities. I understand why this is a favorite eatery for my son. If I lived here it would be mine as well. Gracia should definitely be on your itinerary when visiting Seattle. You won’t be disappointed!

Went there expecting more. Guac was good. Chips didn't seem homemade. Had tacos. Fish, pork, and chicken. Fish was the best. The others were kinda bland .

We were walking around Ballard looking for a good place to eat and decided on this place. We were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and received excellent service throughout from a very attentive bartender. We started with huarache which my significant other thought was the best part of the meal. We also split four tacos and all four were outstanding. The barbacoa taco was by far the best one and I also liked the lengua and the Tinga. We got an order of sopa de lima to go and that was a delicious and spicy soup. Great place - would definitely recommend and would love to return here.

Great food combinations, Lamb Barbacoa was phenomenal, fresh ingredients, excellent margaritas, really nice wait staff. Noisy atmosphere but in a nice friendly way. Parking is difficult so leave a bit of extra time if you make a reservation. They use open table which was convenient.

My wife & I enjoyed a nice evening meal, starting with chips and guacamole and margaritas. Then my wife ordered Enchiladas Suizas and I ordered the Mole Enchiladas. Both dishes were large and very tasty. We would definitely go back.

My evaluation here is based on having lived in Oaxaca, Mexico. I evaluate starting with the chips and salsa. They must be thick crispy chips not laden with grasa/grease and served with something other than pico de gallo which is easy to mess up. At Gracia, they came with four types of salsa including spicy habanero, green chili salsa laced with serranos and a respectable amount of cilantro, and pico de gallo that looked good but was never tasted because I could not stop eating the habanero salsa. Then, the waitress even brought out two bona fide totopos made from handmade corn tortillas. Let me also mention that there is a woman in the partially visible kitchen making handmade corn tortillas from masa made with landrace corn imported from.....Oaxaca, Mexico. These tortillas smell different, taste different and are well the real deal. Then there are some inventive dishes like the beef broth (caldo de res) with chayote, brisket, potato and guajillo broth. The prices are higher than a taco wagon but like I said, they've got real handmade corn tortillas. What more could anyone ask for other than some frijoles, pollo en mole and some chile rajas to roll up inside. Oh and hibiscus/jamaica water with fresh lime juice.

Ambience was lively, service terrible (slow and intermittent) but the cuisine was excellent. Poor dining value given high prices, that said we will return.

Impromptu New Years Eve. Thought we would just have a drink (excellent choice of tequilla). But food looked so good. Dips were amazing one with peanut and almond quite unique. Tacos really good but pulpo was the best ever. Dont let pineapple put you off. The chef really makes it work. Fantastic night.

This restaurant delights diners with truly Mexican food. This is not your Calimex but authentic Mexican. From Carne Asada to calamari and octopus your taste buds will be delighted with whatever you choose. Make sure to sample the Macha salsa and many other delicious salsas. The bar serves up wonderful tequila and mezcal offerings that are prepared wonderfully. Stop in and enjoy a little bit of Mexico.

Note: If you have a kiddo, be sure to order the free(!) kids burrito (but beware there's rice in it and for our picky eater that was a hard no). The ala carte taco menu has a great selection but don't have the expectation you'll actually be able to eat any of them like a taco. Both of mine were chock full of ingredients but sat on top of a soggy tortilla that broke/tore the second I tried to pick it up. The huevos taco was different and very good while the pescado one had an unexpected spice level that was a bit too much for me. The guacamole is pretty good with chunks of white onion and the house salsa is mild. The tortilla chips could have used a bit more salt. Our margaritas were okay served with a ton of ice. A special shoutout to the our server, Tony, who elevated the experience with his fun personality and interaction.

Fantastic and fresh Mexican food, great atmosphere and friendly service! Our party of 6 really enjoyed our meal and highly recommend this restaurant.

The food, drinks and service was outstanding. The service was right on for a Friday evening. If you like Mexican food this is the place to go! They have both indoor and outdoor dining.

We've eaten here a couple times, with the experience declining with each visit. This last visit I had a dirty glass, which happens. But the server disappeared with my drink and did not return--in fact no one came by until it was time for a the check. One of our party had a pork taco, which consisted mainly of pork fat--this should have been caught in the kitchen. Another ordered the pozole, which consisted mainly of cabbage and a lump of pork with no hominy to speak of; again this should have been caught in the kitchen. The lack of consistency (quality and service) will probably keep us out of this place from now on. There are simply too many better options in the area.

Enchiladas with mile very much on point. This eatery has been open a year next month. House made margarita by Ami is well shaken hence her big arms.

Tacos, Memelitas, lots of good Mexican food. Fast and tasty. Service from Corynn friendly and efficient. Decor eclectic. Easy access. If in the area again, will be back!

Kind of makes me think of a dream a white person has as to what Mexican food should be like. It was Ok but man oh man pricey!! Servings were a bit skimpy and service was quite spotty. Sorry but not a fan!

Great spot in Ballard with a lively atmosphere. We have had the same waitress both times we have been there and she is so helpful with what to choose on the menu. We both had the Tequila Corpse Reviver and it is excellent. The salsas are varied and excellent. The music was off as it was so loud that the speaker above our head was buzzing and spurting. A new fresher interesting menu for Mexican food and we will return again.

So much is happening in Ballard and Gracia is definitely a favourite among locals. We came across the place and it seemed very inviting so we took our seats at the bar. The bar stocks a very extensive list of tequila and mescal from all over Mexico. We skipped the tasting flights but went for some cocktails instead. We were not hungry yet, so We had some guacamole with chips and some chicken taco soup, both very fresh and tasty, in particular the soup. Also had the lamb barbacoa tacos. Wow, delicious slow cooked meat with great flavour. The bar tender was very friendly and made a mean margarita. Will need to come back again for a full meal soon.

For a born & bred Texas, this is by far the closest margarita we've found to match the excellent ones at home! The guacamole is divine, the service great, and the food spectacular. Everyone at our table kept raving about everything we tried. Located in the heart of Ballard this is a really fun place to go with friends & walk off the meal after. This will be on repeat often:) Tip: Ask to get one of the window bench tables to look out on historic Ballard!

Delish! Everything was fresh. A modern twist to Mexican classics. We sat in a cute spot by the window. Atmosphere was fun and trendy. The Arnold Palmer was excellent. Enjoy Amigos!

Here is a Mexican restaurant, at last, in Seattle, that begins to match what you can find in and around Mexico City! I didn’t think the day would come! So, please stand up and cheer: hip, hip, hooray! I avoid run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurants in the U.S. because I’ve been to such wonderful eateries like the Café de Tacuba and the Hosteria de Santo Domingo, both in Mexico City, and others, and so it becomes difficult to accept the jack-cheese covered fare that’s become so common on our side of the border. So when my wife and I entered Gracia of Ballard, and examined the menu, I said to her, “we’ve got to try this place.” And, we weren’t disappointed. I was floored. Gracia is a relatively new, medium-sized restaurant, located in the Ballard part of Seattle, which is in the throes of a seemingly careful and artful gentrification from the old Scandinavian fisherman’s village it used to be. This make-over includes a diversity of bistros and Gracia is one of them. Ogling the menu, who’d ever thought I would find huaraches made with duck fajitas. Wow! Shades of Central Mexico and Oaxaca! I found Mero (white fish, like grouper, or halibut) in a chileatole! Lord almighty! Even in Mexico City, you don’t easily find this Aztec-inspired way to prepare fish (or chicken) in a corn-based soup! Then, there was arroz verde! Golly Moses! Really? Last time I had this delicate rice cooked in greens like spinach and cilantro was—again, in Mexico City! Obviously, the cuisine orientation at Gracia is southern Mexico, including Oaxaca, where ancient Zapotec Indian flavors survive quite well. And, while we didn’t order the dishes mentioned above (I was overly cautious that day due to a spike in my Meniere’s condition, i.e., salt sensitivity), we did order some tacos: cochinita pibil, pork with achiote, vegetarian tacos, and a house salad assembled around fresh peaches. To make sure I filled up I asked for fresh made corn tortillas (I watched a woman making them 10 feet from me; corn tortillas are always salt free) and was informed that they were made from corn varieties that thrive only in Oaxaca (olotillo, tepecintle), and they grind their Oaxacan corn right there! Incredible! I was absolutely blown away. Not even in Los Angeles, can you find a place like this easily! And to make sure I wouldn’t go hungry too quickly I ordered a Platano Macho for dessert (a plantain cooked soft, dressed with light cream). Delish! My wife ordered the best churros we ever had, light bodied and dipped in syrupy Mexican chocolate. What’s another word for wow? Sensational? Then I learned that the owner and chef of Gracia, Chester Merl, is a colleague and friend of Rick Bayless, the renowned Mexican chef from Chicago. Another smasher! So, the bottom line is that in Seattle we now have something akin to Rick’s famous Frontera Grill. So, all I can say is: Wow, wow, wow! My wife and I will be back!

Three of us decided to give this restaurant a try for lunch while visiting Ballard. Atmosphere was congenial and relaxing. Great location in the heart of downtown Ballard. We started off with sharing a ceviche appetizer which we found to be a bit on the chewy side (like over cooked) and the chips were also a little chewy. My friend and my son ordered tacos and I ordered the Sopecito with tingy chicken (mildly spicy). With pinto beans and rice, it was very tasty and filling, especially for lunch. I was ready for a siesta! I should have known better than to ask for coffee. It was lukewarm! Since I've had authentic Mexican food on numerous trips to Mexico, the quality was somewhat disappointing.

Wow - this place was a GREAT find. Some friends of ours took us here for an evening meal after we'd spent a pleasant day wandering the Ballard district, which is full of eclectic shops and cool bars. Our friends know that I love mezcal, and Gracia has a TERRIFIC list of rare and smoky mezcals to suit all tastes and price points. The food here is really good too - I went for some quesadillas and they were beautifully prepared and really tasty. After a mezcal cocktail I chose a flight of Leyenda, mainly because I'd never tried these before and I don't think they're available in the UK. Finally, a massive high five for OUTSTANDING service from Natasha

We came for a late lunch but no problem, we could choose from the entire menu. The food was good, the service kind and efficient.

Sat in one of two window seats with friends and 3 out of 4 in our party ordered the tacos. The 4th ordered the octopus. Beautiful tiled decor takes you out of Seattle! Guacamole was consumed quickly as were fun drinks. The tacos were flavorful and more generously portioned - much more meat that I expected - yeah! The octopus was good, and rich, but the guy who ordered it was still hungry. Expect to pay city prices for an entree. Happy hour only served at the bar (which is too bad). Overall, a great experience!

In spite of the large crowds from a Ballard culinary expo just down the street, I was able to secure a place at the bar for dinner. My bartender/server Gael was attentive in all respects from the get go. Decided to pretty much stick to beer offerings and they have some nice choices, albeit somewhat limited. There are numerous options of tequila to enjoy here at various price points. Gael was great at explaining the various listings to my neighbors. I started with a small guacamole, genuine and delicious. The bowl of homemade tortilla chips which accompanied were very fresh and crispy. I ate every morsel. My main entrée choice was the enchiladas suizas, an absolutely delicious, rich and appropriately hot dish immediately served upon completion in the kitchen. Excellent! Filled which chicken and topped with a stunning green chile sauce. I couldn't finish it -- I was filled to capacity but really satisfied. I love that they have two HDTV's in the bar area and that local sports is featured. Good job keeping track of the listings.

Gracias is a new restaurant in Ballard and recently I had lunch there. Based on my experience is the best Mexican restaurant in Ballard. I particularly recommend the Mulita and if you want to drink something different, the havanero cider

The braised lamb tacos, braised lengua tacos, posole, and guacamole were amazing. The service was great. We had a fine time and will be back

The empanada appetizer was excellent but the shrimp cocktail entree was over-spiced and had more sauce than seafood. The tostados were decent but the steak in the carne asada was tough. The enchiladas were plentiful. The small tacos are best. the restaurant is noisy but if you sit near the windows, not so much. They permitted one couple to bring a dog in and it sat by the window under their table. Depending on your viewpoint, that can be good or bad. . .

We had a great experience here for dinner. Excellent service, the server knew what she was talking about. We had quite a few allergies/intolerances to food (nut allergy, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance) and they were very accommodating and were able to point out the food available on the menu (lots available). Some even had trouble with spice (I know, why go to Mexican right?) and once again, the server pointed out the meals that had the least amount of spice. Food was delicious, I would highly recommend.

Authentic, flavorful and fresh! Michaela was wonderful. Host seated us quickly and was accommodating about where we preferred to sit. The chips were literally made as we waited and the three salsas were superb. My husband ordered the mole sauce enchiladas and we both agreed it was the best mole we’ve had anywhere. I had the shrimp and Dungeness crab tostadas. Very flavorful. I would have like my shrimp less well done.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and excellent food. The barbacoa tacos are terrific along with excellent guacamole. The sampler salsas provide the right amount of flavor. I recommend the chicken soup as well. The cocktail selection is good especially the tequila with lime cordial. It goes down very easily.

We stopped here for a drink before dinner - I had the gimlet. It was so good. They have tequila-based versions of traditional cocktails and the one I chose, the gimlet, was excellent. We nearly stopped back after dinner for a nightcap!

Wandering around the n-hood in late April, what drew us in here were the interesting items featured on the posted menu. Making it tough to decide what to order! Very glad we decided to give these folks a try. We loved the service: easy, friendly and quite welcoming (especially Jaime). We really loved the food: Ensalada de Pulpo, Taco Cochinita, Taco Barbacoa and Quesadillas. My Negroni drink was simply perfect. A great addition to the eating options on Ballard Ave.

We were very disappointed. The food was just ok. The best thing was the chicken tacos and elote. But not worth the price. The chicken enchiladas were ok and the lamb tacos were no bueno. Cute place. Way too loud. Good service but won't be back.
Yet another fine option in Ballard!
Dropped in here and enjoyed a meal that was unique and flavorful. Our area is fortunate to host a bunch of fantastic options for Mexican food, and this place earns a spot in that cadre. The atmosphere is stylish, the drinks strong and the service sharp. We enjoyed two margaritas, chips + fresh guacamole and a variety of tacos. All tasty and well presented. Definitely has more of an adult vibe based on seating and layout. Two people $56 + tip. will definitely share with guests.
