This restaurant had fairly good food. I did not have the buffet, which looked excellent, and was probably the way to go but did not feel the need to spend $28 on breakfast. The egg white frittata was tasty and the service was quite good.

We had lunch for the first time here in November 2016. It had a simple buffet spread. Food quality average, treatments by the staff; business like. Getting there by car hard due to traffic as usual.

Excellent brunch! Good selection of crab, shrimp, salmon, carved beef, salads, breakfast selections including omelette bar! Amazing price of $32! Expect the price to go up soon! They cannot sustain this price too long and make a profit! Very pleasant servers! Highly recommend!

Not rushed at all enjoyed breakfast here. Wonderful food and very good service. Everyone pleasant and inviting.

Stop by for it even if you're not staying here. It was that good. $24.00 per person. Full service, omelet station, oatmeal, french toast, pancakes, NON-pork breakfast meats

Too expensive for no reason. Average place, got a mug with lipstick stains, bagel with a little mold and the food was not special nor good.

Spacious room where tables are a good distance from the next. This way any conversations feel private without neighbors hearing. Comfortable seating. Good service. The pricing seems more than fair for a downtown Los Angeles business lunch. The tostada salad with chicken added was tasty and of ample size.

We were staying at the Omni and needed to find a quick breakfast. I'm not much of a buffet fan, but this one was really outstanding. Lots of choices that reflected an international perspective.

Visited Christmas time and location is being renovated convenient location and easy access Priced right for business travellers

The brunch buffet is from 10 am to 3 pm Saturday and Sunday. The price is 55 plus tax and tip. They do have roast beef, king crab, shrimp and oyster.. not too much selections. The desert is limited and only good thing is macaroon. The food is average for the price

We stayed at the Omni for a few days and had breakfast here each morning. It was yummy! The staff were friendly and gracious. There was a wide selection of food to please everyone's tastes. One thing I really liked was the fact that they served breakfast much later into the morning than other hotels. When I am on holiday, I want to sleep late and not have to be "up with the chickens."

I guess I have to spread this review over at least 100 characters so I will try to say that yes, it is a good eatery and has a favorable selection of food, but just think going in that a simple cup of coffee is $6.

We only ate breakfast in the Grand Cafe but it was very good. Service was attentive and friendly. I had the hash and eggs and loved it.

We came here a few times. The staff are friendly and helpful. A lot on the menu to choose from. We did enjoy the Hawaiian buffet on Sunday and that was lovely. Highly recommended and very well priced.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch on the patio of the Grand Cafe. The food was excellent, service friendly and views spectacular. This patio isn't far from the hustle and bustle of Grand but it is so quiet. Loved the view of The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). sculpture. Great escape after visiting the beautiful Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Broad and of course MOCA.

We had lunch at this restaurant and enjoyed it thoroughly. Breakfast the following day was just so-so. Service however, was excellent. Our server was great.

This place it better than most. The breakfast buffet was expensive, but very well done. The sandwiches at lunch were great..huge but great. Service is as good as you can get.

Brunch at grand cafe with seafood menu Overall a good buffet with excellent service Worth the time to spend downtown around the museums and LA art museum Includes a large variety of desserts Decorated well for the holidays and was pretty full for the Sunday brunch

When I was looking at having a dinner at the Omni Hotel I was directed to the Grand Cafe. Terry Kim, the Outlets Supervisor, was my contact person for this event. Terry was very warm, friendly and extremely accommodating. He did everything in his power to help us with the menu and gave us some wonderful food to taste for my event. I would highly recommend Terry for any catering needs you might have. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your choices.

I was really excited to enjoy this buffet - I have had it previously and remembered it fondly. But it is now $55 plus and while the food still looks beautiful, that is too much for me to pay for breakfast when I am on a $50 a day business per diem. I opted for an omelette - still $22 which was too much for an omelette, but it was below my per diem. Service was kind but average for such an expensive place and the noise level was extreme - every table was full of very loud people.

The perfect place for business lunch or to serve business people on the run. I had to take a late lunch between. I let the staff know I needed something quick to make my next meeting. The server had recommended a pork sandwich. Food was tasty and a good choice. And more important, because they knew of my tight schedule, they got my order completed quickly. Meets the needs of businesspersons on the run...

Sunday brunch was very enjoyable here. It was very busy, but the staff was still attentive and efficient.

We stayed at this hotel and we ate brakfast here every morning. the same as the hotel it has great service also. friendly staff , very attentive during all our meals. food was excellent.

Bought a Travelzoo voucher for 4 for Saturday brunch. The food selection on the buffet was good and there were a lot of options to choose from. The brunch also included bottomless mimosa's which is a must:-)

Went there for a late breakfast before a concert Matinee next door. Eating a la carte and not from the buffet we were seated at a side table. Eggs Benedict and Salad reliable, not outstanding.

Ate here twice. Both times service excellent. Had chorizo wrap with salsa and fresh fruit both times. Was amazing. Coffee expensive but exceptionally great!

Brunch, and breakfast, was great! Fabulous selection of food plus bottomless mimosas (aka Bucks Fizz!). Tables outside. Our waitress, Amy, was a pure joy!

The Sunday Brunch was awesome, what made it even better was the great service delivered by the wait staff. There always was one waiter to take away your dishes and another a step away to refill your Mimosa

Conveniently located on the 3rd floor of the hotel, the breakfast buffet is pretty decent and has a good selection. I love that the eggs are customised to your order/liking and they are actually prepared in the kitchen while you help yourself to the other food available. I particularly enjoyed the blueberry sausages which were unusual and pretty yummy. The staff were very attentive and accommodating.

Lovely brunch and perfect for inviting friends during my LA visit. All were very pleased and left very happy and topped off! Including myself. A "Don't Miss" whether staying at the OMNI or not.

Decently priced Sunday AYCE Brunch. Good selection, the food is reasonably good considering the price.

If you're visiting The Broad, the Grand Cafe in the Omni is only about a block away. It offers an excellent lunch and service to match in a glass-walled space. The fried chicken sandwich with spicy cole slaw was delicious. So was the French Dip sandwich.

had both lunch and brunch at this place, brunch was only 50 bucks!! what a deal for a high end hotel with a big seafood buffet and bottomless mimosas

We intended to go through the buffet, but at $55 a head, we opted for the regular menu and were not disappointed. Among our orders, the avocado salad and the hamburger with a fried egg were the standouts. The service was very good.

The Omni does a great job with their brunch/lunch buffet! Nice if you are tired of waiting to get into The Broad. We got our tickets and then had lunch before seeing the museum

Lovely Buffet, but the menu items are excellent as well. The portions are hugh and the food is delivered by staff that are glad to serve and will remember you you the next day.

we liked the venue for a catered party but the passed bites were average. The food could have been away better.

Excellent linch, fast service and a great view of the MOCA courtyard, sculpture garden and waterfall. Ask for the corner window or outside

I was here for breakfast as part of my stay and staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious too.

I stayed overnight in Downtown to attend a party and through brunch here would be a great way to recover and fuel up before heading home. My reservation was for 12:30p on Sunday. I made the mistake of not realizing that I would be visiting a hotel at around check-out time. This resulted in a valet that was overwhelmed and it took a while for me to get my car checked in. Valet with validation from the restaurant is $10 with a 2 hour limit. The restaurant is located on the third floor, up two short flights of stairs. It must have been busy because the hostess was quite flustered and my Open Table reservation was not marked as completed. Upon walking in, I was immediately hit with a wall of sound. This spot is popular with big groups and many were quite boisterous. Perhaps this would have been more tolerable if I didn't have the beginnings of a hangover, but quiet and intimate - this place is not. Service was a bit rushed and thoughtless. No coffee spoon, so I had to use my fork to stir. The first 15 minutes I was asked if I wanted more coffee multiple times, but after that had to flag someone down to get a refill (tiny hotel coffee cups!). Hang on to your silverware, as it's not replaced or offered, which would have been appreciated given the multiple courses. Selection of food is a solid B. Some of the offerings included (with my grade): - Breakfast pastry selection including toast and yogurts, steel cut oatmeal (B) - Some luncheon meat and cheese offerings - not what I would consider charcuterie or an impressive cheese spread (C). - Breakfast proteins/staples - Scrambled eggs, egg white frittata, 2 types of sausage and bacon. Pancakes and french toast.(B) A made to order omelette bar also offered made to order belgian waffles. Fried chicken and biscuits and gravy (A-) with some pulled pork benedicts. - Asian offerings - Miso soup, congee(B-), limited dim sum (C), kimchi fried rice (couldn't see the kimchi) - Hot offerings - Roast beef station (pre-carved) (B-), mac and cheese (A-), mashed potatoes, snow crab and shrimp (D), veggies. - Seafood bar - snow crab (previously frozen)(C), shrimp cocktail, lox, some sushi rolls. - Dessert - assorted cakes (C-) and chocolate mousse(B), cookies Price was $55 per person, with no extra charge for my coffee or his juice. I love to eat and love the opportunity that a brunch buffet presents, but overall, I would not return. I feel there are better options at this price point.

Nothing to write home to Momma about or review. Breakfast buffet was $25 per person and lacked selection IMO. Luckily my son chose to order from the kids menu and had a nice looking burger and fries for about $8. It's a decent option if you are staying at the hotel.

If you don't want fancy and you don't want casual, not a lot of obcious choices in the area to sit down w/o the fuss. Had a tomato bisque starter (more like tomato sauce, way too heavy and nothing bisque-like about it) and grilled salmon with citrus, which was nice with perfectly prepared fresh vegetables, crispy and colorful, but kind of bland. Service was good. Staff pleasant. Just not an inspiring menu. Rather ordinary in all the ways hotel cafes often are. But convenient.

We were staying at the Omni Hotel and checked in early then started looking for a place for lunch. So glad we chose to stay at the hotel and eat at the Grand Cafe. The cobb salad and the ahi tuna sandwich were both fantastic. Our server was great- very friendly and super service; we even got two desserts (on the house) which were both incredible. All this plus a super view of downtown.

I had a large salad for lunch. Can't remember what my husband had. I just remember the service was excellent and the food was really fresh and delicious.

The people were very friendly! The buffet had a lot of options to choose from and the food was very tasty! I recommend eating here if you're staying at the hotel.

Came for breakfast. This is the casual dining restaurant in a nice downtown hotel. The restaurant was maybe 10% filled yet there was no one to greet us (party of 2) or to seat us. After a few minutes, a waiter came by and help seat us. We chose to order off the menu rather than partake in the breakfast buffet. Drink order was taken quickly and served promptly. Breakfast order was taken and all was well. Good selection of breakfast foods and prices were what I'd expect at a nice hotel for the food. We had a lox and bagel plate as well as a 3-egg omelet (served with hash browns, a meat, and bread). Food served timely and at the appropriate temperatures. The bread and bagel came about 5 minutes later, making us wait to put together the bagel sandwich. Refills on coffee were not provided as no waiter was anywhere near our table and none came by; I had to get up and get a 2nd cup from the serving station myself. The check was left on our table before we completed the meal. After finishing, I noticed that regular American coffee was $6 per cup. This was WAY out of line for nice restaurants and in comparison to the price of food. Our waiter disappeared completely and no other waitstaff came anywhere near our table. I had to take the check and my credit card to the Maitre-d and ask for it to be processed. I also asked if coffee really was $6 per cup and he said yes. The check was finally returned to me about 5 minutes later. While I enjoyed the food, service was sub-par and the price of coffee offended me. I will not return to this restaurant again, even though i live close by.

The Grand Cafe' has a very diverse breakfast menu and a large breakfast buffet. For those with gluten intolerance (celiac), there is a separate gluten free bar that includes gluten free bread, bagels, cereals and granola. A dedicated toaster is on the gluten free bar to keep a separation from the other buffet items. The gluten free items were all well known brands and with very good taste.

This is one of the best Sunday brunches out there. The food was wonderful, especially the prime rib. There were plenty of choices including breakfast items and desserts. The champagne, coffee, and tea were always kept topped off. This was our first time there but certainly not the last. Service was always friendly. A couple of things, though. We were four people and the first two got there and were seated about five minutes ahead of us. When we got there, they couldn't find our reservation (even though I called and confirmed that morning), but they said they could seat us. We were never told that our other people were already there! My sister in law happened to see me a few tables over. Good thing we didn't wait out front. It was one of our choices. Bad coordination at the host desk. Also, sitting in the back room was way too noisy. We had to yell at each other to be heard. They stick the larger parties out there and we were seated by a group of about fifteen. If you can, choose to sit in the center. That's where all the food is anyway. All in all, The Grand Cafe is a keeper and we will definitely be back. Don't pass this one up. $49 per adult and $10 valet parking with validation. So worth it!

I think the brunch had a lot of options if you are not o a restricted diet. The staff were all friendly and super accommodating, although Our server seemed very rushed and we had t flag her down for refills on our "bottomless mimosa"

a typical hotel breakfast with a Park Ave cost. Omelets are made to order, but nothing special. They have a breakfast buffett with a limited selection, not worth $30 per person.

Travelled to LA for the GFOA Annual Conference. Stayed at the Omni LA. Grand welcome by the door men

Great selection, fresh, great staff, good seafood selection bottomless mimosas for those that feel the need

this is the all-purpose breakfast-lunch-dinner place at the Omni Hotel. I was here for only one breakfast since I was on the go early most mornings, and wanted to get more air after days of meetings. I had a tasty veggie frittata that came with a fresh fruit cup ($20.) Very good coffee. Excellent friendly, professional service. There is a more lavish buffet of hot and cold items, with a very capable cooked-to-order omelet man. While I think the kitchen will do whatever you want, my drawback here is that there are not many items on the many that are a la cart -- everything is a bigger breakfast, even without the buffet. My frittata has very large. So -- the food s very good but at business class hotel prices, Excellent service.

Selections are very fresh, huge seafood selection, bottomless champagne and if you show a valid TAP card they will take off 25%, Really awesome.

Grand cafe is located inside the Omni hotel. Valet parking available for $10. I had no reservation but I was seated right away. They have a buffet or menu. The buffet had a huge selection. The food was delicious, bottomless mimosas as well. The staff was excellent, checked on you frequently and filled your glasses promptly. The desert section had a variety to choose from and I was not disappointed. The selection included steak, salmon, lobster, fried chicken, omelette station and so much more. I recommend the brunch. It's pricey but it's at the Omni and food was good.
best brunch in town
bottomless mimosa's - waitress never let my glass empty...all you can eat crab legs...so yummy...I have to go back when I arrive in town again
