Just got the opportunity to visit Grimaldi's based off reviews from Tripadvisor and happy we did. Great service as soon as we entered. The pizza was great, caprese salad too but the treat was that it was national cheesecake day and we got free cheese cake. Homemade strawberry cheesecake was my favorite but my kids enjoyed the Oreo cookie cheesecake. We truly enjoyed our time at Grimaldi's and Karen was an excellent server! Can't wait to visit again in the future.

We ate in the long back room. I've never been to a louder restaurant. Almost everyone at the table commented on it. Don't know if the main dining room is as bad but, if you are in a large group, avoid the back room or go somewhere else. Pizza was OK, salads were really good. I will not go back.

Good pizza, big salads, and great service. Perfect place to eat if you are in the area shopping. Don't know that I'd make a special effort to eat here, but is convenient if your nearby.

Not bad, considering it's New York style.

We ordered the 4 cheese pizza and threw some veggies on it. The crust is thin (no thick or deep dish crust here!), the pizza had great flavor. The house salad was huge and fresh. Good service. Loud atmosphere. Pricey (our large pizza was $33). I'm happy to have leftovers today.

Having eaten "under the bridge" a number of times, I wanted the same kind of experience. It did not disappoint. Every aspect of the meal was great. Even found the manager afterwards and told about the great experience. Discover Grimaldi's!

One of the best thin crust pizza's ever. Had dinner after a cheer competition, 3 adults and one child. We each got our own personal pizza, we all shared and we had so much left over we took it back to our hotel, we would not let such great pizza go to waste! We had one regular pizza with pepperoni and meatballs, the white pizza, one with pepperoni and one with basil and a pesto pizza (my favorite) with Italian sausage, sun dried tomatoes and spinach. We shared a canoli, which was delicious. Excellent service, when they served us, the waiter said they forgot my Italian sausage and that they already had another pizza in the oven for me to take when we were done. Great Cesar Salad too. Nice atmosphere, I loved the wine bottle chandelier

Pizza is OK. Not great. It can be made great if they would use more sauce, EVOO (Oil) and more cheese on the regular pie. Crust is right on. Great waiter Shawn. We still like to go to this one and the one in Allen but the managers think they know it all. Don't ask how it is if you don't want the true answer. Trust Brooklyn born customers for advice. We know our Pizza and only try to make you better.

Food was really good but it was a bit pricey for what I got. I ordered the Mediterranean salad (love Feta cheese) and the small was VERY large- small size would feed at least 2-3 people. Plain Calzone was $10 and each additional topping was a minimum of $2 and went up to $6. So if you wanted an extra topping or two it was going to cost you. Delicious but as I said pricey. With the amount of food served, I wouldn't recommend this to a solo traveler unless you have a way of taking home leftovers.

If you like the New York style pizza, Grimaldi is the place to go. We tried the arugula and prosciutto pizza...fantastic !!!!! Excellent beer also...what else do you need???

Love this place. Pizza is always hot and fresh. We always order pepperoni, sausage, black olive combo. Spinach salad is really good with big chunks of bacon and yummy gorgonzola. Servers are always attentive and pleasant.

The pizza is always awesome and the wine selection rivals that of any wine bar. I saw there is a Grimaldi's in Ft Meyers, so planning a side trip (I'm going way out of my way) when I am in Florida next month. We need a Grimaldi's in MN!

I have been to 2 other Grimaldi's in the area, but this location was a first for me. This spot in Uptown is very good. Pizza was tasty as expected and I love the Caesar salad. Parking could be tricky, but we quickly found a spot to parallel park.

brick oven pizza is really good, it taste amazing.. I had meat balls pizza, service is good i would love to come back to this place in dallas

I only have a gluten sensitivity so I was able to eat the gluten free crust from the wheat flour kitchen. I'm also dairy free too, but it was good! My sister even tasted it and thought it wasn't bad. We went on a Saturday night around 7 and had about a 45 minute wait for 2 of us, we got in after about 35 minutes, but it was worth the wait especially with them having a gluten free crust option. They pretty much have some beers and wines and pizzas and salads. No breadsticks or anything like that. We both got the personal sizes, but they were more than your average personal size. We did however each almost eat our entire pizza. The crust is a thinner crust, not paper thin, but good and lots of topping choices. We both had a beer and our different pizzas and were happy with our visit. We would visit a Grimaldi's pizza again.

The food was wonderful, the pizza was delicious, and the atmosphere was noisy and fun. The crust on the pizza is fabulous. Must try. You can have pesto marinara or white pizza for the base then you add whatever toppings u please. Wonderful pizza joint. Good for kids too.

I'd say they make the best pie in Dallas hands down. Great crust, Sauce, and Cheese. Worth the trip

This place is kind of pricey when it comes to pizza... or maybe I just like being cheap haha. To start off you pick the kind of pizza you want and then you basically build your own. Every topping you pick is a certain amount of money. For example, I picked the white garlic pizza and added bacon. For a personal size pizza I paid $14!! Granted, I could have totally shared this personal size. I only ate two pieces and was done. I did enjoy it though. I love garlic so this pizza was perfect for me. I like that they text you when your table is ready, that was really neat. They also got us into the place really fast. We were told it would be a 25 min wait and then we had a table within 10! Overall, I would probably not go again but it was tasty.

Traditional authentic pizza restaurant offering good food, and attentive speedy service. Wide choice of pizzas available.

We decided to go to this small shopping area when we first arrived to town while we waited to check in to our hotel. We happened upon Grimaldi's because they were the first place that was about to open. They had 1/2 price wine glasses and bottles, so we got a couple nice wines to go with our margherita pizza and "small" Caesar salad (definitely shareable!!). The waiter said the dressing was made in house, and it was fantastic. The pizza was delicious, with a great crust and sauce. A great start to our trip in Dallas!

While not as good as the parent establishment in Brooklyn, this is about as close as you are going to get. Recommended for thin-crust, NY Style pizza lovers.

Great Northern Italian Pizza. Fresh Moz is used.

The pizza at Grimaldi has always been delicious in the last 8 years due to its tomato sauce and crunchy crust. Unfortunately, a month ago and today, the pizza was rubbery, undercooked and the tomato sauce was sweet. It's a shame that they changed the recipe because now the pizza is no longer what it used to be.

Friday night is definitely Pizza night, but we had to go more than once on this visit to Dallas, the pizzas are so good and when you order all the ingredients separately that you want, that's exactly what you get- personalized pizzas, cooked to perfection with good crisp bases. If you are not into pizza, then the choice is not so good, only salads available but they do a good Caprese and allowed me to order grilled chicken as a hot side. House wine is great value too, they must be doing something right as the place is almost always packed!

Wish I would have read this review before wasting $60. Love a good Italian salad. Unfortunately I was at the wrong restaurant to get such a dish. The small salad is an overflowing bowl and larger than necessary but is all lettuce with limited toppings. The Mediterranean salad had three small olives. The lettuce was wet by you couldn’t taste any dressing. It was totally tasteless. Such a disappointment for $10! The Caesar wasn’t much better. The pizza crust was slightly burnt soggy and had NO tomato sauce. I thought that was a main ingredient. Not here!!!! Water and a soda no alcohol and no dessert. This is Dallas you can do so much better for less.

We tried it one night, shared a pizza and it was an ok pie. I can't say it was the best pizza and pretty greasy that I had a stomach ache for the rest of the evening. Tried it once, never went back. Cute place though.

We ordered pizza and salads for take out and it was excellent!! The salads were really fresh with great dressings and the pizza was perfect lots of flavor and great crust!! Best pizza we have had in Dallas!!

Best NY style pizza in Dallas and always has good responsive service. We take our office staff here regularly and have a great time every time.

Visited twice during our 6 night stay. Fabulous huge pizzas, choose your own toppings, just make sure you share one between two of you....they are reall huge. Lovely friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit

Tried out this restaurant based on it being across from our hotel. The food was delicious, but I will agree with other with it being pricey.

They also have Calzones - but, this place is mostly about the Pizza, all made to order. MONSTER Ceaser salads that a "small" can feed the table of 4 with left-overs. Lots on NYC references - as this is a pizza place direct from under the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC!

We arrived during a busy lunch time. We ordered our pizza and a beer. It took a while to get the pizza so we ordered another beer. By the time we got the beer, the (remaining) pizza was cold. It would have been a longer wait, but, a waiter went behind the bar and got the beer. What restaurant allows a bartender to leave the bar during a busy time?? The pizza, however, was as expected , very good.

We stopped in while touring around Dallas and were very glad we did. They have pizza from a coal-fired oven that had a fantastic thin crust, great sauce (read: not overly sweet or herby) and toppings. The house wine was a hit - easy drinking but still flavorful. And out server was attentive and friendly. We'd definitely come back!

It is located in an outdoor shopping mall in Dallas. Cool atmosphere and a nice selection of fresh salads before you order the pizza. The pizza has a large amount of choices and all ingredients are fresh and high quality. The crust is the thin floppy crust like NY style you can fold it up and eat it. It would be hard to find a better quality pizza joint.

We had a group of 15 to be accommodated. Manager Brandy met us with a smile and quickly had the wait staff configure a small room to accommodate the group, the bartender Gerald was quick to serve the first round of drinks, and our server Oscar kept things rolling, furnishing us with pie after pie until we were stuffed. The restaurant tolerated us for over three hours without ever losing their smiles. Excellent pies, cold beer, an attentive staff. What more could you ask for?

It is not quite as good as the original in Brooklyn but it is close enough. I have eaten here several times and I have never been disappointed. They feature a good section of beer and wines as well as some of the best pizza in Dallas. Additional ingredients get a little pricey but I am willing to pay whatever they ask.

This pizza restaurant opened this week and is a really nice addition to the restaurant choices within a five mile radius of where I live. The pizza was excellent. If you really like pizza, you should definitely give this restaurant a try. We had an 18" with pepperoni, onions, and roasted red peppers, and it was more than enough for the three of us. This is a thin crust, perfect mix of tomato and cheese and toppings. Not soggy at all, which some thin crust pizzas have trouble with due to a too wet sauce. There is a nice tomato flavor but not oozing sauce. The garden type salads are huge, even the half portions. Plan on sharing. The mozzerella/tomato salad had seven slices of cheese/tomatoes (half portion). There is a focused menu of all pizza choices for entrees, about half a dozen salads, several dessert options. There are many wine by the glass options, which is very nice. Most restaurants only give you at most six options. This restaurant offered almost every wine in a by the glass option, and there seem to be 50 or so wines offered. We had the large pizza, two half salads, glass of wine, a beer, a soda, and one dessert and the bill was just under $60. You could spend much less and still have a wonderful pizza!

I thought the pizza at Grimaldi's Brooklyn NYC was the best pizza I have ever had but Dallas is not the same. I can see that the pizzas here still seem quite good but unfortunately mine was undercooked and doughy in the middle. Other table appeared to be enjoying their pizza though but another table did make the same comment that this is not as good as the Grimaldi's in Brooklyn.

Had dinner outside with my sister and a friend. The waiter was engaging and able to answer any questions we had about the menu. The salads and pizza were both very good. I really enjoyed the house vinaigrette. I am a plain pizza lover and their Margherita was perfect for me.

I met a friend here for dinner. It was a great experience! Parking was easy which can be a concern in this area. We were promptly seated and waited on. The service was impeccable! I got the Mediterranean salad and we split a pizza. The food was great! One of the best salads I have had and the pizza was amazing. I’d recommend this place anytime!

I came here on a recommendation of a friend, and it was the best advice! All I can say is order the calzone!!!! You'll thank me later. Yes I know I've said it's better than NY and I just suggested the calzone, but you'll be pleasantly pleased everything was made to perfection. They even let us call in our order ahead as we knew they were closing in an hour. Our service was amazing to top off the best pizza I've had. I come here every time I'm in Dallas!

I try to hit up a new restaurant at least once a month so I decided to try this one on for size. I have tried to find good pizza since I have moved to Dallas and so far I have only liked Mellow Mushroom. Well now I have a new favorite. This restaurant has it all. It has great decor, excellent service and the pizza is top notch. It's kind of pricey but definitely worth the price. The only negative thing I would say is that it took over 30 minutes for us to get our pizza.

Found this place when trying something new 7 years ago and return almost weekly. They have 1/2 price wine on Tuesdays, by the glass or bottle. We have also visited other locations in Arizona and on Park Ln in Dallas. Pizza has always been consistent and delish, without the wait you will find at their original New York location.

I first came to know Grimadis in NY then found that it was available in dallas wow I was thrilled…. I love their pizza everything was fresh yes WAS , now the stopped using the fresh mozzarella cheese that comes in a ball instead they use the sliced kind & that just is mot the same fresh pizza I pay for. The price didn’t go down still the same but the taste is absolutely not the same. Won’t be back unless things change quick. I think they didn’t want to spent money paying someone to cut the fresh cheese, so the heck with the taste … profit is what’s behind this business ☹️

To me Grimaldi’s is like going back home. The pizzas are in the top 3 in Dallas and their calzones are #1 in my book! Thanks Guys!

We loved the food but found it a bit pricey. 3 of us had one appetizer, bruscetta, 2 pizzas- one small one medium, 3 beers and it was $78.00. Good quality food and service, though.

Nice variety on the menu and a very friendly staff. Only negative was that I ordered the Don pizza with meatballs and pepperoni and there was bits of bone in some of the meatballs. very tasty pizza and the Greek salad was very fresh.

Thin crispy pizza is quite tasty and doesn't leave you stuffed. The highlight of the menu, hands down, has to be the Mediterranean Salad. It is truly a treat especially with grilled chicken added. The large bowl is enough for a meal for two, or as an appetizer for four. Do yourself a huge favor and stop in for Salad and pizza!

Great place located in uptown Dallas, with a dog friendly patio! House salad is great with olives and roasted red peppers and a yummy Italian dressing! The thin crust style pizza is the best, tons of toppings to choose from. My fav is the meatball, mushroom & extra cheese. Good wine selection by the glass or bottle. Truly, best pizza in Dallas!

My son lives above this restaurant and I had heard from him so many times how wonderful it was. We finally had a chance to visit and of course had to give it a try for myself. I will say everything down to the sauce was legit and the flavors all complemented each other...and that was just the Caesar!!! Don't miss a chance to visit...

We have gone to this Grimaldi's location for many years now--thank goodness for it. We are Italian American NY'ers and for years before this pizza place opened we used to bring pizza back from NY whenever we would visit. Now that Grimaldi's is here we don't have to. The pizza is great, so are the salads, desserts, calzones, you name it. The wine list is pretty good too. It is always busy on the weekends and I feel like I am home again as it is decorated so "NY" right down to the yellow and black taxi colored restrooms! You can't go wrong here for pizza. We have been to the Allen location as well but it is severely lacking in pizza quality compared to this West Village location. Not sure why but it really is not the same as the Dallas location.

Atmosphere is enjoyable, staff friendly. Pizza is superb, and the staff is attentive. Located in the village area.

This was a Friday night Dinner, we were seated right away, Drinks came right, and Wait Staff were very attentive. We ordered a small Pizza to share, for two people, and we still couldn't finish it. It was delicious. You can sit outside, but it was a little to chilly for us that night. You can see them making the Pizza right in the middle of the restaurant.

Had "The Don" delivered and it was a rival to anything we've had in Italy. Ingredients are top notch; the pie was perfectly crusted and the red sauce rocked. Know that the 18" will not fit in the oven; however, once our bunch started digging in, it was all gone pretty fast.

I regularly order pizzas for couple of years in this pizzeria. The pizzas have always been tasty and of a good quality. Their site is handy and pizzas are always cooked on time. I like meat and you can add many options of that to your pizzas. I recommend this place if you'd like to have a good pizza In Dallas

Great pizza excellent service super atmosphere , how come its so good?Great staff good motivation cool that knows what he is doing, great recipe for delivering what is expected...

The food was simply amazing! Service is great! I will definitely come back! This is a nice place for group dinner or if you are looking for a good pizza.

Closest pizza to NYC as you're going to get. I lived in NYC and won't eat anything else here in Dallas. The pepperoni pizza is fantastic! All locations in Dallas are great.

My husband & I stopped here tonight after seeing a play at music hall. They were gracious enough to invite us in to eat even though it was close to their closing time. We were greeted with smiles, great service & excellent food! The pizza was served with a smile & the waiter checked back on us several times. The pizza was cooked perfectly, the restaurant was clean & inviting & the atmosphere was spot on to relax and enjoy a bite to eat. And who doesn’t enjoy the music of Frank Sinatra & the rest of the crooners? Two thumbs WAY UP for Grimaldi’s👍👍

As a long-time Marco's Pizza (Original Preston Hollow location) fan, it was difficult to admit that the new guys in town were, in fact, better. If you like thin crust pizza please give this place a shot. The sauce and cheese are tough to beat. It's probably more acceptable value for takeout. Coal Vines near the Crescent in uptown is also quite good.

We were in Dallas for a brief 2 days. Grimaldis was recommended for good pizza. Very nice atmosphere, not your local pizza take out place. We ordered one with Italian sausage and pepperoni and one with fresh basil mozzarella. Both were really good. If you like pizza and an area with lots of activities this is a great location. Right on the free trolley line. There USA privy room fora larger group.

I love Grimaldi's because they make thin crust pizza. It's a lot more authentic (to Italian, which I like) than most chain pizza places are. You can build your own pizza-they have an assortment of delicious toppings and pizza sizes to choose from. You can also get your pizza on whole wheat crust if you'd like. I always have a great meal at Grimaldi's.

Both of my parents are from New York, so I was raised to only view New York style pizza as the only true pizza and Grimaldi's is not only New York style, but excellent pizza by any standard. The service is very nice and it is a fun atmosphere. I also highly recommend the salad, which makes you feel a little less guilty about eating a couple of slices. But would highly recommend the cheesecake - a piece of heaven on earth.

We were visiting from Australia and had read some great reviews on line about Grimaldi's and we were absolutely not disappointed. The service was fantastic, the decor and vibe of the restaurant was a perfect match to our date night. And the pizza, so good! Hoping that we'll be back one day and looking forward to trying other things on the meniu.

On Saturday, my husband, four year old daughter and I went to your location in Dallas. We were seated and our server came and said he'd be back with drinks promptly. We waited six minutes and our waiter still hadn't came back. We looked around and they were all gathered by the registers and where they do the orders. We waited another thirteen minutes or so and still no server. At this point, I was already beginning to get a little angry. A couple walked in and got seated. By this time, the manager had walked by four times and never bothered to ask us if we were having a problem, because we clearly were and were trying to get someone's attention. I mentioned to my husband that if the couple was asked to order before we were, we were going to leave... And sure enough they were. I passed the manager on our way out and he finally asked if there was a problem. I told him. He didn't seem to care and we walked out the door. Two minutes earlier, I told him his restaurant and staff were getting a very bad review everywhere that I could think of online and his tone said he pretty much didn't care. I'm sorry, but if that's how all your chains are, we will never be visiting again and absolutely telling everyone I know not go there. That is no way to treat a customer, especially a customer who is pregnant.

Best pizza, NY style. Good menu choices, but since pizza is to die for menu does not matter. Excellent staff, friendly, courteous, efficient. Their plain cheese & margarita are always super. If you are a New Haven or NY style pizza person, you will love Grimaldi’s. Eat in is the best experience, over take out, if you want to enjoy every bit to the last piece.

This is one of the best thin crust pizzas that you will ever have. There are 4 constituents to making a great pizza....crust, sauce, ingredients and baking! The crust is light and tasty... The sauce has enough spice to be noticeable but not overbearing... The ingredients start with "real" fresh cut mozzarella cheese, no the grated bulk cheese the chains use; the rest of the ingredients are fresh. The pizza was not over or under baked.....just right! I wish we had Grimaldi's near our location in Florida.

We've been going here for several years and Grimaldi's has turned into one of our favorite pizza places in Dallas. This last time, however, it was an entirely different experience. We got our usual, Caprese salad which was good, and a pepperoni pizza. This time, instead of the crispy crust it was soggy. The pepperoni did not have the same flavor. In fact the entire pizza lacked any flavor at all. I am not sure if they changed recipes (I hope not) or if there was an inexperienced cook in the kitchen who did not cook it long enough. The pizza was a big disappointment. We went on a Friday night and the place was almost empty. Is this a sign that the restaurant is going downhill? After so many years of consistently great pizza we owe it one more shot, but if that is like our recent experience we won't be coming back.

We learned about Grimaldi's because a friend posted a pic of herself enjoying her FREE birthday pizza from them. Well, I couldn't pass that up. We registered online and have been enhoying birthday pizzas for the whole family ever since. We usually get a house salad to share and it's yummy! We always get the pepperoni because of the kids (and it's soooo delish) but may try something different soon.

We ordered a carry out pizza from here. The pizza was very good. The restaurant was very crowded when we arrived to pick up our carry out. I will definitely come back and eat in the restaurant the next time we visit.

The wood oven pizza was the best pizza I ever had. Wait staff was great. Thin crust pizza, just how I like it. The salad are great and the pizza was mouth-watering. All real ingredients on this pizza. Can't go wrong with this place. Wanted to carry one back home with me to Mississippi, but didn't have time to go back by for take out. Don't think it would have lasted the 8 hour trip back home!!!!!

OK..hees the scoop..the choice is simple here. salad, pizza or deserts. The salads are very large, very fresh and very tasty. The pizza is basically custom widow by you. You pick the toppings. Note they charge extra for the toppings and isn't cheap. But I must add they were excellent and tasty to go with a really nice sauce as well. I would have liked the pizza to be a little more crisp crust and will order well done ne still time. Excellent beer selections and a good wine list. Next time I go, we,ll pickhalp price Tuesday! Good spot, neat area to walk around a shop as well. Restaurant was neat, clean, excellent service but a little loud.

I've had pizza pretty much all over from Rome to NYC to Chicago to California and I have found my new favorite. Me wife have been trying to put our finger on what made it so good but I really think it is a just the perfect storm combination of a the right ovens, perfect crust, amazing sauce and good fresh toppings. If you want a true NYC type pizza do yourself a favor go here....maybe catch the M Line McKinney Ave free trolley, grab a nice beer or wine and get ready for some awesome pizza. We will definetly be there again and as often as we can get to the uptown area.

My girlfriend is a Dallas local and had me try this place on a visit. We had probably the best service of my life. Jasmine was beyond great. She was very well versed in the menu and options and was very quick and friendly. The pizza was delicious and came out very timely. The sizing can be larger than you'd think but we were warned that before ordering, but it's fantastic left-over. Desserts were solid, too. Overall a great date night and I'll visit again when I'm in the area.

First visit to Grimaldi's was in NY w/ a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge---hard to replicate that experience in Dallas! That said....Grimalid's is reliably good pizza. Friendly waitstaff. Downsides...very loud; talbes a bit crowded; on a cold day it is freezing every time the door opens. Miss the cozy atmosphere! Lucky not many cold days in Dallas. Salads are really good too and perfect to split before pizza. If you're looking for anything other than pizza or salad, not the place for you!

My order was missing several items. Only the pizza arrived but none of the expensive salads. The young lady who answered the phone was completely unhelpful , refused to let me speak with a manager and refused to assist with adjusting the price. I am going to have to take time to go to the restaurant tomorrow to try to get my money back because they obviously hire people with zero customer service skills. Horrible and never will use this place again!

In Dallas for a visit and decided to try this place. Food was decent. I’ve been to better pizza places that were less expensive, but not a big deal. Service was great until the check came, then the waitress decided her personal conversation was more important than me wanting to cash out and leave. 10 minutes into the conversation, I took the check up to the bar. Bartender took my check to the waitress, who was in no hurry to bring me the credit slip... she was still in the middle of her conversation with another employee. Waitress was Patricia. Tip reflected my displeasure.

I love think crust pizza and that's what you get here. The red sauce is awesome but they also have white and pesto. They also have pretty good salads and calzones. The small was big enough for my friend and I and he ended up taking home two slices. I couldn't finish my second slice but most men probably can. I don't know about three though so if you're not a huge eater a small pizza and a salad can easily feed three. The service was awesome and the manager as well. They missed putting salami on our order and he marked our pizza done to half price after offering to remake it again. One of the better pizzas I have had and especially for Dallas. Great place for friends and family to hang out at.

While I'm not gluten free, I have two family members who are celiac and watching the care and separation that Grimaldi's utilize, I think any gluten sensitive person would be safe here. As a vegan, my small kale salad (sand cheese) was outstanding but too much for one person. However, I saved room for my veggie pizza without cheese which was super tasty although a little soggy due to all the fresh tomatoes. Overall, this is my second visit while traveling to Dallas and I highly recommend it if you like pizza. I was also impressed when I saw them give raw dough to two small children to "play" with like play dough. How cool!!

True Italy! Full of freshness and lots of flavor. Could easily split a personal pizza and anti-pasta salad. Very filling. Highly recommend.

First time visiting. The pizza came out perfect. Service was outstanding. Would recommend this pizza to anyone.

We drive from Flower Mound to Uptown in Dallas for this phenomenal pizza. Best Grimaldi's in DFW--by far! We started with a delicious Caesar salad. It is always so good. Then came our pizza! It was prepared perfectly! I crave this pizza. Seriously the BEST pizza in Dallas/Fort Worth. Great wait staff also.

The best pizza we have found in Texas. Yum!

Pizza at our house is usually homemade by me and I of course think its the best. But then I ate here and realized I have a lot to learn about making pizza! They have pesto pizza with chicken and I left full and happy! The server we had was wonderful - I made it clear we were visiting and had never heard of Grimaldi's but I found it via my GPS and she made a lot of honest recommendations. The only thing I didn't like was overhearing (in my defense they weren't being quiet) the table next to us talking about how ugly their boss's daughter was and how awful some of their friends dressed. I'd bet they won't be there everytime, though, so next time we are in town I would love to visit Grimaldi's again!

This is a nice almost old fashioned pizza place. It's upbeat and has a nice uptown location and serves a great pizza.

The new Grimaldi's has opened up and it is delicious. We drive 20 miles (3 highways) to get to it. We've been there 5 times each time as delicious the first. It is wonderful and quite worth the trip. Tonight, I dropped our pizza on the floor. Truly sad. The manager, Richard, came over and offered to make me a new pizza and tried to act like it wasn't my fault when it was. What a gentleman! Just when I thought the place couldn't get better - he made sure that it did.

Having lived in NY/NJ for over 10 years and then moved back to Dallas. I realized just how awful pizza in Dallas really is. This is the only place that comes close. I can't eat anywhere else for pizza. I also love that they give kids pizza dough to play with to keep them occupied. What a great idea and much better than crayons!

Upon our trip to Dallas, we were told "You have to eat at Grimaldi's!" We love pizza, so we were pretty excited. We at there for dinner our our last night there...and were pretty disappointed. It wasn't horrible...don't get me wrong. But it wasn't aweswome. Our server was very nice, very attentive and very helpful. It was a Sunday night, so there were only a handful of other tables in there, which helped service levels. Towards the end of our meal, it was obvious she was becoming antsy and wanted us to eat faster. She asked us several times if we were done with the pizza, and we let her know that we weren't quite done yet. We weren't just sitting there doing nothing, but we certainly weren't shoveling our food in our mouths. As far as the pizza - it was just so-so. I usually like thin crust, but this crust was so ultra thin, it was more like you were eating cheese and toppings. There was barely any of the white sauce on the pizza and overall didn't burst with flavors. Like I said, it wasn't horrible, but I definitely wouldn't go back.

Nice place in the west village shopping area, park in the garage and it is behind the sushi place. Lots of outdoor seating with heat lamps, inside has several tv's if it's a sports day. Waiter was friendly and efficient. Spinach salad with Gorgonzola and bacon was tasty, then we enjoyed a large with spicy chicken sausage and pesto. Nice crisp crust easier to eat than the Neapolitan style of Cane Rosso, both great in their own right.

Half price Tuesdays are our favourite days and we enjoy the pizza and a salad to share making it great value.

Nothing fancy here, just very good thin crust wood fired Pizza or Calzones and fresh crisp Caesar Salad and a nice bar. A New York extension that claims to even import the water for their dough from New York (probably has the same chemical composition). Lots of choices. My fav is Pepperoni, Fresh Garlic and Mushrooms. They do white Pizza too, but it is just hard for me to call that Pizza. Kinda cool how they serve the Pizza on a rack above the table. My wife really likes their Caesar...fresh, crips and a nice Caesar dressing.

This is the second time my family and I have come to this place and it's a nightmare on the weekends. What we didn't know was that there was a 35 min wait at the host area. Then we were sat and our server Jared told us we're expecting a 30-35 min wait. Which turned out to be a 45-55 min wait for one pizza. We got the "Garden" and it came out wet and soggy. Then the server was no where to be found. When he came back he just told us it's because of all the vegetables on the pizza and the wait was due to To-Go orders. No compensation, or visit from the manager. Don't come here, go to Coal Vines.

Although pizzas are good, their calzones are outstanding and can feed two people. Clean place in central spot.

This place is a bit pricey, but the pizza is fantastic. Try the white pizza with bacon and chicken! The waitress was nice and patient, but once we got our food we never really saw her again for drink refills. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't even busy on a Sunday around noon.

This is one of our favorite pizza places in Dallas, easily in our top 3. We usually go to the Park Lane location. We get a large pepperoni--the pepperoni is small in size but pack huge flavor. The pizza is enough for 2 people to share and get full, and then have leftovers for lunch the next day. It is a small place but has outdoor seating. Service is always attentive.

My family and I come to this pizzeria about twice a month and the service is always phenomenal. Our server Mark was very attentive, and was just overall fantastic. We had a small spinach pizza, and a glass of red wine. The only problem was our table was right by the cooks, which was considerably loud but we were okay with it. Our problem was a male manager whom was "joking around" with the cooks, and my kids even heard him curse a couple times in Español which was very unprofessional. I could understand working in a restaurant is stressful, especially on a busy Friday night. But this isn't the first time. So now we have to sit in the back of the restaurant, by the bathrooms...

This is NOT like any decent pizza I have had in New York. They took thin crust, somehow made it soggy, put, I kid you not, 1/4" of tough cheese on the crust, left off ANY tomato sauce, put on toppings (really skimpy on the meat, by the way) and then burned it!!! REALLY! It was some of the worst pizza I have ever had. Do Not Go Here.

Thin crust pizza. Coal fired ovens. Pizza was fine. You pay for the basic pizza with toppings. Toppings a $2.00 to $5.00. Large pizza with 3 toppings is about $30.00. It was very noisy during our visit. Great spot for the younger crowd !

We ordered the Chianti, a large Mediterranean salad, and a margherita pizza for lunch and sat outside. Service was excellent and the pizza was how I member it from childhood visits to Italy. Hot, crispy with delicious cheese. I recommend to order the small salad as the big one was to big for two of us to share (we ate all the olives though)

My personal favorites when it comes to Pizza: Thin Crispy Crust Exceptional Italian Sausage Smokey Finish Fresh Mozzarella Other fresh veggies This Pizza has it all!! While the décor was reminiscent of any New York Pizzeria the atmosphere was light, welcoming and warm. The waitress stepped through a pizza menu as if we were eating at a five star restaurant. I watched as the Manager/Owner was stopping at every table to visit. When he came to ours he even knew when not to linger. I was on a date and conversation with my date was going well and he was able to pick up on that and moved on quickly. The only negative experience I had was the bar. The bartender was a little curt and slow. That is okay, it saved me from buying a beer that I really did not need or afford. The price is a little higher than your typical Inn, Hut or Johns, but well worth it. Oh, by the way, I could not locate the Allen story that is on Bethany parkway so I just chose the closest one to review. So If you live in far north Dallas or Collin County, this is the pizzeria for you.

While on a weekend trip stopped in for Dinner Sunday night, we were seated promptly and greeted with a smile. The atmosphere was good and the decor was inviting. Pizza arrived, we had the pepperoni and it was great! Will definitely return.

Excellent food. Drinks not so much. Friendly and nice atmosphere. Its worth a second visit. Ordering pizza with beer.

One of my favorite restaurants to order pizza. We go there for lunch often and the service and food quality is excellent and always consistent.

We (four of us) arrived at the Grimaldi's in the "West Village" (Dallas) unsure of what we were in for, but we left "SMILING"!!! First time customers then,….. - NOW -….. Long time fans! The mediterranean salad was mouth-watering (Size-Small-but a hearty serving). The "Personal Pizza" that I ordered, (12", now this is relative, but in my case, enough for two.) was appetizingly delicious, garnished with fresh toppings! The pizzas are baked in a "coal fired brick oven." It's a unique and wonderful savor. The ambience and realia regaled walls exhibit New York City. Our server was outstanding and really made the entire Grimaldi's experience a place to remember and one to which we will seek whether we are in Dallas, Las Vegas or NYC! Her name was Sanja and she was the epitome of; congeniality, hospitality and efficiency! If you appreciate different types and styles of pizza, try Grimaldi's in the West Village (Dallas).

Having been to the original location in Brooklyn, it's hard for any other location to hold a candle to that pizza. Nevertheless, a Grimaldi's coal oven pizzeria in the heart of Texas was a pleasant surprise and well worth the excursion to West Village from downtown Dallas. They offer a variety of pizzas with a choice of toppings. I went with a simple plain pizza, which was very thin and very good. Nice ambiance and nice wait staff in addition. My only warning is that the personal is actually quite big so you much consider sharing.

This was my first visit to Grimaldi's. The staff was great and the food was amazing. We went on a Friday evening. There was no wait on getting in but it took a while for our meal to arrive. However, the wait was well worth it!

Came with colleagues on a Tuesday. Enjoyed NY style pizza, The Don, with pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. Also had a delicious Mediterranean salad. The best part was Derek, our fantastic waiter. He was probably the best server we ever had. Wine was half price. Great dinner. Highly recommend it. Ask for Derek!!

Coal fired pizza rocks! We had a pizza with pepperoni, artichokes, onions, and mushrooms. We truly enjoyed it. Yummo!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I don't think their pizza is very good or worth the money they charge, but it seems to be very popular for some reason, especially with families and the take out crowd.

OMG-this pizza is the best! I don't like red sauce and they have a pizza with a pesto sauce-delish!! Add some ricotta cheese and some sausage or pepperoni and you have a pizza to die for! The cannolis are great as well as the cheesecake. Love this restaurant and really wish they delivered!! If you haven't tried it, go now!

This was my first visit to Grimaldi's and I was very impressed! To begin with, the manager greeted us at the door and not with your generic, come in glad to have you greeting, but actually had a brief, interesting conversation with us. Our waiter was top notch as well. He made some wonderful suggestions and took exceptionally great care of us all night long. We made some specific requests and he was happy to accommodate us on each one. The pizza was delicious! The crust was outstanding! I know we all like different kinds of crust in the pizza world but I'm a thin crust lover and this was perfect. Thin & crispy without collapsing. And the toppings were fresh and tasty. We ordered 4 different pizzas and all of them were great! That shows great consistency if you ask me. If you're looking for something a little different, I highly recommend the kale salad with lemon vinaigrette dressing. I'm not a huge kale lover but this was so good I took the leftovers home! Our dining companions had the coconut cheesecake for dessert and they said it was excellent as well. Great job Grimaldi's! Can't wait for our next visit!

I wouldn't change a thing, true NY style pizza. Thin crust, the coal oven is the key to the crust for a great taste. The Mozarella is very fresh and the tomatoes they use have a hint of sweet. Perfect Pizza

The newest outpost of Grimaldi's opened in Allen recently. I was so looking forward to some coal fired pizza but was never able to satisfy my appetite as the pizza never came. This experience was a disaster from the moment we sat down. Waitstaff was ill prepared to handle a Friday night Dallas dining crowd. Salad came literally 30 minutes after we ordered and the lettuce was brown. Could not say anything cause our server never came by to check on us. Finally got a calzone only to have the server spill the sauce barely missing my arm. Calzone was nothing to write home about. Marginal at best. 20 minutes later and with kids clamoring for pizza, the server came by reluctantly to tell us our pizza was delivered to another table. That's when we said enough and asked to speak with the Manager. 10 minutes later, still no manager so got up and left. We figure the manager was too busy going around to the other tables to apologize for the cluster that was Grimaldi's. If in Downtown Dallas, I would highly recommend you go to CoalVines instead if you want a coal fired pizza. It's literally less than a mile from the Grimaldi's Uptown location. If in the burbs, go anywhere else.

Had an excellent experience here. The waiter Zane was attentive and informed. He recommended the calzone and I took his recommendation. I normally can eat a lot, so I was going to order the small. He assured me that the personal would be large enough. And he was right! It was excellent! Also a good selection of wine and beers. Highly recommended!

We weren't even aware that the West Village was getting another great place to dine, and sort of stumbled on this place while trying to decide where we wanted to go. What a pleasant surprise! Service was quick and very friendly. We wanted to watch the NCAA tournament, and our waitress happily asked someone to change the channel on the tv above the bar for us. We were also surprised by the choices of beer on tap. There were only about 5 beers, but they included Pilsner Urquell and Meroni, NOT just the usual Coor's lite/Bud lite swill! We can't wait to go back when we can sit on the patio.

When on McKinney Ave, one has certain expectations. One of those for me is a "full service" restaurant. Grimaldi's offers excellent pizza! They have an adequate "appetizer" menu. Their wine and beer menu seems to be pretty well filled out. But, I was in the mood for some drinks with my pizza. I don't mean something to drink. I mean something like a whisky sour, Tanqueray and tonic, or perhaps a Sapphire gin martini. I had a couple of beers with my pizza. It was fine, but I would be have been through the roof with a full bar. (Not necessarily a big drinker here - but, not gonna lie - I was in the mood!)

Whenever we travel and find a Grimaldis, we always have to try. Having been to several of them across the country we found that this one was one of the better ones. Sitting on a corner spot in a very cool shopping area in Dallas, we decided to order the classic margherita pizza. It came out hot and fresh. Crust had the perfect amount of char on the bottom and soft on top. Cheese and sauce were spot on. Another Grimaldis doing it right!

Very nice pizza and selection options. Sizes are good, prices are fair and service (both in and takeaway) is solid. Highly recommended

Ordered a few pizzas for take out and while I will say the pizzas are much better enjoyed right out of the oven just cool enough to eat they were still awesome as take out! The service was fantastic, staff is friendly and professional!

This restaurant honestly leaves me speechless. Grimaldis is a family favorite, we plan a day ahead for our trip to this heavenly place. My daughter (a previous pizza hater) was converted towards the magic of pizza because of this restaurant. I have no critics or problems to say towards this pizza. The cheese, perfect. The sauce, perfect. The crust, PERFECT. All I can say is you must go experience it for yourself.

My wife and I really liked the restaurant and the staff. Very helpful and friendly. Somehow they did get out pizza mixed up and prepared it wrong. But they actually brought the incorrect one to our table and let us eat on it while they prepared another one. And they let us have all of the leftovers to take home. We ordered the white pizza with toppings. And it was really really good. Parking is somewhat difficult in this part of town, but it is well worth it. The pizza was very tasty and very hot.

From the service to the food, it's all good. If you like authentic NY style thin crust, coal-fired oven pizza, the you must come here. They have a pretty extensive wine list also. This is Brooklyn pizza at it's best! A must have!

Great location, across the street from our hotel. My husband and I walked over and picked up our pizza that I ordered online. The pizza was very good! Looks like a great date night spot! Everyone there seemed to be on a date.

We were looking for a good pizza after visiting World Aquarium and definitely were not disappointed. This was the best pizza I ate in a very long time. Wait staff was great, atmosphere very pleasant and food excellent. Their salads are very delicious and large. Myself and two kids shared a small salad and all had plenty. We couldn't decide between their pizza and calzone, both looked very delicious. You can add as many toppings as you want and again the size of their pizza or calzone is enormous. We end up taking half of it home. This is definitely the pizza place for our future visits.

This was the first place that I started to eat pizza with meatballs, basil, and mozzarella and have never looked back. with the second location at Park Lane, I get take out. Good thin crust pizza.

We've past by here many many times. It has always been packed. We thought we would go tonight since the Cowboys were playing and thought that it might not be packed. We got there and there were only a few tables occupied- thought we had scored, but unfortunately it took forever to get our food. The food was pretty good, had a spinach salad and Boardwalk pizza. Salad was great, pizza was kinda bland, but again it took forever to get the pizza. So in short it wasn't horrible :)

This is in a great little area in Dallas, and there's no doubt the pizza isn't, well, bad. It's a matter of taste I think. This won't be the best pizza you've ever tasted. I think the dough was too garlicky, but their red sauce had a unique flavor I wouldn't mind trying again. I would say the sauce was tangy without entering the realm of spicy. So it may be worth a shot.

The service was excellent. The pizza was yummy and the side salad was better and bigger than expected.

Trying to find a NY style pizzeria in Dallas has been difficult. Tons of places have signs that say "NY style pizza" but they don't meet the standard. Being from NY and having tried lots of pizza places, I must say this is the closest you will get in Dallas. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you've entered a little piece of NY. The ambiance and decor fills this place with pictures of NY skylines, subway signs, and famous faces. The thin crust pizza is great and service is always pleasant! Definitely worth trying!

Good was great. Service was spot on. Great experience. We love going to Grimaldis. Never had a bad meal. You can always expect the same good food and good service.

We had a pepperoni and also a margherita pizza. Very good. Fresh mozzarella yummy. Service excellent. Very friendly staff. Neat location in the downtown area.

best pizza in dallas its like stepping in to new york for a slice

Took a trip on the M line trolley and got off at the west village very near to Grimaldi's. It was buzzing with people, seemed to have a great atmosphere and the pizza's looked fab! So in we went and were seated immediately! Our server, Mark, was fantastic and we chose two 'personal pizzas' and left room for dessert, as we were informed they were all home made! Lovely drinks choice and an extensive wine list that's even better as most can be by the glass! We were not disappointed, the pizzas not only looked great they tasted fantastic!! We did only have enough room to share a dessert and opted for the apple and caramel cheesecake which was simply divine! It really did set us off on a great start to our time in Dallas! Thank you!

Ordered a 16in pizza last night for delivery with a piece of Oreo cheesecake. The order came a little late (which was ok because it was raining). But when it arrived it clearly did not have the extra cheese I ordered (see photo). The Oreo cheesecake had what looked to be a section removed by a spoon. So I called the store..got hung up on a couple of times. Then the manager tried to tell me that I should talk to 2 of the other managers because she doesn't deal with these issues. She asks me to bring the pizza in so she can fix it? WTF...after 5 minutes of her just saying incoherent crap. I told her I just want the 55 dollars worth of pizza I ordered. I mentioned that I would not be favorable with the review she said "I don't care, you go right ahead and leave a negative review; it doesn't matter we will always get business". So I'm keeping my part of the deal manager from 8pm on 4/28. Maybe if you mistreat enough people and they leave reviews on your shotty service, pizza and attitude - you won't always get business. I could have cooked 3 pizzas for 55 dollars. Will never be back.

Being a frequent traveler to NYC I can appreciate a good coal-fired pizza and this is as good as it gets in TX! The crust is thin and crispy w that awesome coal-fired flavor. The cheese is melted to perfection. You can watch as they actual toss your crust in the air! Had a Mediterranean Salad that was awesome and they serve it family style so come hungry and share. Love the extensive topping choices plus you can also get a white garlic sauce or pesto instead of tomato sauce. Had an impressive wine to boot. Didn't expect this authentic style pizza from a brand newish restaurant in a trendy location but love the location, the service and the food.
Pizza, pizza, pizza
The service was great. The food was very good. It was a bit noisy for visiting with old friends, but that is the nature of Italian restaurants. We knew it going in and so it was not a "real" negative but part of the ambiance. The prices were good as well.
