Tapas happy hour a must. $4 for the most delicious croquettes ever! Delicious patas bravas. Flatbread. Off happy hour menu Greek cheese bites delicious but lunch becomes very expensive.. worth a visit. Be great if they could lower the tapas options for lunch for those of us who aren't rich. Lovely staff. Tomas is so good looking.. model in the waiting and the hostess with the fabulous hair!! Beautiful đ

We had a party of nine on the rooftop last Sat night. The live music made it festive and, though it was crowded and loud, it was much easier to talk outside than it would have been if weâd eaten inside (couldnât hear a thing in there!). The food was good (try the paella and mixed salad, mushrooms), red sangria was very good (not too sweet like some are). An expensive evening, but fun.

The view from the patio, overlooking Buckhead, is perfect for Thursday night tapas and drinks with friends. We loved the meat and cheese plates, and their hand crafted cocktails, while on the pricier side, are delicious.

Ryn is an amazing server and guide through all that Gypsy Kitchen offers. All Ryan's recommendations were spot on! The food was excellent and the music unbelievable, but the experience was made priceless because of Ryn!

Relatively small but high quality portions of tapas, recommend the octopus, goats cheese, and lamb merguez.

My friend and I went here to enjoy a bite to eat. Eh. It was OK, but just OK food-wise. However, we ordered a pitcher of the red sangria which was GREAT! We enjoyed sitting outside because they had misters, which were needed, and made it bearable.

Came here for dinner on a recommendation. Tapas type restaurant so we shared dishes. Food came as it was ready. Chicken Tourquits were pretty good. Mixed salad was decent. Braised lamb was ok. Cheese appetizer was ok. Paella was very disappointing and cold to boot. Small dish for $24. Prices range for the Tapas $9-15. Entrees $24-40. Very loud restaurant. Service was good.

Good selection of Tapas and drinks. Service was prompt and friendly. Good vibe place with a variety of people. Loved the Patatas bravas and beet salad!

Four friends and I stopped in to Gypsy Kitchen on a Friday night. The restaurant was packed but the hostess was able to get us a table outside while we waited for a table inside to become available. We ordered the Garlic Shrimp, Chicken Croquetas, and the Papas Bravas. Every single item was cooked to perfection and while I typically don't enjoy sharing my food, I'll make an exception at Gypsy Kitchen. Everyone at the table ordered something different and getting to taste everything is the way to go. It was a fun dining experience and a great place to go with friends. I will definitely be returning to Gypsy Kitchen.

We had the server help choose Tapas and entries for our group to share. All fabulous. Ordered bourbon that they didn't have - they brought it over from the restaraunt next door (same owners). We will definitely go back!

Awesome atmosphere and city view will bring me back for cocktails. The service was very good also. Dinner was just average, a little pricey for what we got, not flavorful and certainly not what we expected given the location and atmosphere. Nice place to begin or finish your evening but eat somewhere else.

Recently had dinner here with friends. This establishment seems to embody the trendy new Buckhead-Atlanta complex. Menu is mainly tapas. Pricey for quantity and quality. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The service was less than glowing and contained a large portion of attitude. Majority of patrons were younger, including the table of four girls sitting next to us. As the night progressed, the girls consumed more and more alcohol and their volume and rudeness increased exponentially. The problem was reported to the restaurant staff, which seemed to actually embrace their behavior. Not somewhere I enjoyed.

Fun casual restaurant, some what limited menu but enjoyed the tuna tacos, chicken under the brick was interesting but lacked taste. The Paella was excellent brimming with seafood and a wonderful spicy version.

We have recently started traveling again. While in Atlanta, we dined at Gpysy Kitchen. While both inside and roof top outdoor seating were available, we selected to dine outdoors. First, the restaurant has done a great job of abiding by Covid 19 guidelines.....there was ample spacing between tables, the staff wore face masks and for the most part the clientele did likewise. We were looking for light fare and some wine and Cava. Gypsy Kitchen hit the spot! We were pleased with the atmosphere, vibe, service and food. There were sufficient offerings to meet most diner's taste. We are not vegetarian nor do we need glutton free dishes but know friends who do...you can get those dishes here. Parking in Buckhead is always tight. We parked on the street and paid the meter. There is also a parking garage under the project where the restaurant is located, and the restaurant offers valet parking. The restaurant also has a elevator access for anyone who need wheelchair access. Call ahead it log onto get a reservation. Try to grab one of the outdoor, roof top tables.

The only good about this place is the location. The service extremely slow and unprofessional. Very small plates and not enough for dinner. We had to get dinner after.

We stopped in a for a drink on a Friday afternoon. The patio offered nice views of Buckhead. The $5 house wine was pretty good. Service at the bar and at our table was fast and attentive.

The food was good...Tapas. Tender steak, flavorful paella, tasty Brussels sprouts. The cocktail menu was strange. And the wine offerings as well. Cool atmosphere, but extremely loud. Food/Decor/Beverage/staff...it just wasnât cohesive.

We had a reservation, turns out we didnât need since it wasnât too busy, so we thought it would be a good experience. Weâd really been looking forward to this venture to try a new place. We were first seated next to a table of screaming adults, literally couldnât even hear ourselves think. Took 15 minutes for someone just to come check on us and even then we couldnât hear her. We asked to be moved, were taken to a quieter table, where again, no one even bothered to come by and check on us. It was not busy at all, servers were aimlessly walking around, would look our way but never come over. For being in such a prolific area this was an awful experience. Will most likely never come this way again.

Great drinks, decor and atmosphere but the food was no bueno. We ordered the shrimp, veggie paella and brussels sprouts. The brussel sprouts were kind of soupy. The paella was sour and stinky and the shrimp was bland. Too bad. Cute place.

This spot is excellent for tapas/sharing! The drinks are amazing too. Service was great and the servers are super helpful in choosing, although we didnât really âchooseâ since we got one of almost everything! The fried goat cheese, bacon wrapped dates and strip steak were my absolute faves.

My husband and I evacuated our house in Charleston to avoid Hurricane Florence last month, and were staying in Atlanta for a few days. When our server (ironically named Katrina) found this out, she took 20% off our bill! We were so touched. This lovely gesture plus the gorgeous restaurant interior, beautiful patio, and DELICIOUS food (highly recommend the roasted carrots, Mediterranean salad, and patatas bravas) made for an absolutely wonderful experience. If/when we come back to Buckhead, we'll definitely be making a visit back to Gypsy Kitchen!

Hung out with some business associates here for dinner and drinks. What an awesome place. The tapas were very tasty. I had to have the grilled octopus as I always order whenever available. It was tasty but a bit burnt and on the chewy side so definitely not one of the best Iâve had. Paella was so so. The bone in ribeye was unbelievably tasty. Gypsy fried chicken (nugget form) was unreal, could not stop eating it. Overall great food (grilled cauliflower and quinoa, quail, duck, all great choices). Best of all, the service was awesome. Not to mention the waitresses at the bar were smoking hot.

The tapas and small plates are very good and authentic. The entrees are somewhat pricey, and it seems that they are focused on the small plates. Wine list nice and the service was very good.

Our friends took us to Gypsy Kitchen and we had the Chef's Table where we could watch the kitchen staff and talk to the Chef as food went out. They have a very nice selection of wine. The appetizers were good but not great. My wife's bean soup was the best. We ordered the whole fish. It was perfectly cooked but could have used some more seasoning. It came with a side salsa that helped to add flavor. Dessert was excellent. We shared a chocolate mousse and key lime pie. Our server was the best part of the experience.

Atlanta Eats provided an exceptional recommendation once again. The location was excellent, with ample parking available. Notably, the small dishes were comparable to a full entree. Our selection included lamb skewers, scallops, crispy Brussels sprouts, and patatas bravas. For the main course, we opted for the whole fish, sirloin steak, and seafood paella. We thoroughly enjoyed all the meals. The mixed drinks were impressive, and the service was outstanding. The interior was aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, they offer a convenient parking ticket stamp and a generous military discount. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Atlanta.

Amazing food in cool setting. This place I think is always packed and very loud because everyone is socializing, so if it's your thing then you gonna enjoy it a lot. Food was delicious. I enjoyed my trip here.

Gypsy Kitchen sits atop the roof of the brand new luxury shopping center in the heart of Buckhead in Atlanta. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the bar is in the middle of the room and has a gorgeous bull in the middle surrounded by all the bottles. There is an outdoor rooftop seating area. Gorgeous setting but what matters is the food. They serve Spanish style tapas and other entrees. My husband had the paella, he said it tasted good but the rice was not regular Spanish rice but rather more like quinoa, not exactly sure what they used. I had steak and chorizo tapas, the chorizo was excellent but the steak was tough. Wine and beer selection was good, they should have at least one regular beer rather than just all IPA for those of us that want a normal beer sometimes. Service was very good, but we didn't feel the money spent was worth the food value. Don't get me wrong, we don't mind spending money on fine dining as long as the food is amazing, not the case here. I don't think it's worth going back for us.

Met friends here for drinks and dinner and wow were we impressed! The service was fast and friendly without being intrusive, the bourbon list is outstanding, the sangria was delicious. The cheese selections were all fantastic especially the goat and the blue. Get the dates, you won't be disappointed. The octopus has a nice char without being overdone, the lamb kafta is fantastic. I can't say enough about how tasty everything is. Be sure to valet park, the stand is right by the elevator that takes you up to the front to door. If you park in the garage it's a bit confusing to find because signage isn't so hot off the elevators.

I generally avoid going north of Midtown in Atlanta, however I had a surprisingly enjoyable dinner here with friends. They have some really good, interesting vegetarian tapas, and the atmosphere was actually pretty good too, and was not the typical Buckhead cheesy atmosphere. The patio looks like it would be pretty great during the warmer months too. The five dollar valet charge is ridiculous though.

I was not a real happy customer. The restaurant is very nice but located in place that requires lots of walking or a slow valet. The drinks were extremely over priced. The wine was very expensive. Not to many options on that. I'm scared to know how much a well brand drink cost. The food was very small portions. Our server added many extras to our bill that we were not informed of. To end it all, we were charged for a said free birthday desert. This is your place if you want to spend alot, wait alot and get poor service .

This place was spectacular. We had a last minute adjustment to the number of our party and they accommodated us perfectly with a great table out on the veranda. Our waiter was prompt and knowledgeable. We took advantage of the Tito's vodka promotion for several of our cocktails....nice to enjoy a drink and know that money had been donated as a result. Ordering was easy, the menu has tons of options. The food plates were all unique spices or presentations. All the plates got two thumbs up from all of us. We're certain to make a return trip. Crazy epilogue to this dinner was the opportunity to meet one of the owners and his wife the next day at a graduation party being thrown by my cousin. Needless to say we "gushed" about the experience!!!!

We loved this place. The ambiance from the moment you walk in just draws you in. The music is going, the place is packed and vibrant...itâs a great vibe. I came craving the octopus and it didnât disappoint. My hubby said his scallops were delicious and we both thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. The service we received from Mariah was outstanding. Weâll definitely be back.

Great Happy Hour spot! We had great cocktails and a few items from the menu which were absolutely delish! The service was quick and friendly! We did a mini happy hour bar hop between this place, Planta Queen and then had planned for Tabla but were so full after Planta that we did Tabla for dinner the next day! Great outdoor space at this Gypsy Kitchen

See and be seen... Tapas is solid but certainly a cut below some of the other tapas spots in the city. However, the draw is the 2nd story amazing outdoor patio and open feeling of of the indoor space spilling out beyond the bar onto the patio. Plan on perching here for several hours when the weather is nice and you will not be disappointed. Arriving after 8:30 works best for things to be more lively.

Visited with my son and daughter in law, who are vegetarians. Everything we ordered was fantastic! We had olives and almonds, a cheese plate, hummus, dates (meat dish)...all amazing! For dessert we enjoyed coffee and flan.

Gypsy Kitchen is definitely unique and a cool experience. The decor is impecable and the ambience is romantic and quiet but the food was lower than my expectations. It tasted good but I've lived in Spain before and this really had no taste relative to the actual Spain food, if that is what their goal is. The location is great & the validate your parking. Would return.

Not bad appetizers, but the dish that made us upset was what should have been the workhorse... paella. Mostly we can talk about a rice dish with sauces and little fish; terrible, paella is another thing

The service was okay. The outside deck is sadly dated with ripped seats and tables need a coat of varnish. Floors are dirty. We were going to stay for dinner, but will be moving on.

A great day for Brunch at Gipsy Kitchen, our server/bartender Alex was absolutely amazing, great personality, awesome service and the cocktails were fantastic. A unique Espresso Martini đ¸ and the shrimp and polenta entree was delicious đ. One thing is they brought one entree before the other one and it gets cold before the second arrives, the timing can be improve to make it better. I been here many times and is always great.

We enjoyed the open doors that opened the restaurant up to the outdoors. The decor was fun and hip and the staff was good. The food on the other hand was not what I would expect in the a restaurant located in the newest, hippest and posh Streets of Buckhead. The appetizers were adventurous and were better than the entrees. The idea of creating southern fusion was a good one but they just didn't hit the mark. Atlanta has way too many great southern restaurants and this one just didn't hit the mark.

A friend and I have dinner here last weekend. We were seated in a back room which was really dark and I had to use the flashlight on my phone to even see the menu. Our server was great - she helped us choose our small plates. I had a glass of wine and my friend had a cocktail. We enjoyed the skirt steak, brussel sprouts, garlic shrimp, potatoes, and some manchego cheese. All the food was good, albeit a little pricey for the size of the portions. We declined dessert. I would definitely go back!

Incredibly crowded bar area and LOUD. We were sat at a table in the bar area. Service was slow and the food was pricey. I had the fish and I was simply un-impressed. More like a diner. Vegetables seemed like frozen veg mix from a bag.

This is a busy, loud, hopping, hip Buckhead restaurant! The tapas menu rivaled those that we tried in Madrid Lancerote and Spain's Gold Coast. The papas bravas and grilled peppers are classic! Braised lamb served with pita triangles, skirt steak, tuna tartare were all hits! Some great cheeses to choose from, especially the blue cheese and of course manchego. Sadly, they had sold out of the cauliflower so we substituted an order of cooked carrots that were delicious. The beet/quinoa salad was amazing. Great service and a fun atmosphere make added to the wonderful dining experience e. Validated parking for the parking garage in the Shops at Buckhead is a plus.

Trendy new restaurant, nicely furnished and an awesome outdoor roof top space, but I highly advise you come for drinks only as the food is awful. Ate here twice just to give it a second chance thinking I may have just misordered, but alas it was even worse second time around. Have tried their octopus, shrimp, patatas bravas and two fish dishes. None were appealing. Their entrees are poorly conceived and badly executed. Not a good combination. Great service though.

Cool decor, sexy ambiance, service is good but a little slow btwn drinks and Aps arriving. Grilled octopus was out of this world... Sea urchin deviled eggs were definitely different. Good, just different. Great drinks. Evil Eye and Spice Trader are favorites!

So I went here for a friends b-day dinner. We had reservations for seven. They refused to seat us even though has the party was there. I think it was more so so the the table was not ready . The atmosphere was nice. The place was packed and there were no mask to be found including our waitress Christina. I have never a had a waitress so unenthused & who appeared down right annoyed to be serving our table. She literally disappeared in a number of occasions & had to be scouted out when needed. Just bad service. Now the food. Given the size of the party there were a lot of option on the table mussels, croquettes, lamb shank, roasted chicken, duck confit, Brussels sprouts, & the lamb chops. There was a common theme-BLAND. The croquettes were like bland chicken salad fried, the chicken-bland and the potato fingerlings looked horrible. My girlfriend like the duck & others said the lamb chops were good as they doused them w/ salt. The mussels were the worse I have ha. They were served in a tabasco broth that was so salty that I stopped eating after a few. Again just bad. The rose sangria was just okay, but for $36 a carafe I would expect amazing. I give the place 2 stars for the atmosphere but I will not return. For me it was just bad on top of bad-from the service to the food.

Took my team from work (4) and got there early after work on a Thursday. It was nice to get there early, it was packed when we left around 7:30. Great service from the bar and our server. Drinks were creative and tasty. Spice is the concept, but not always spicy. The Spice Trader was tasty with a little kick, and the House of Cards tasted like I should be on the beach in Mexico, but had a peppery finish that went surprisingly well with the sweeter drink. We had a couple of the Spanish-style toast and chicken croquetas. Not extraordinary, but good nonetheless. I decided I was in the mood for the "paella" fried rice, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. Plenty of food, and plenty of flavor. The rice was not greasy at all and had a nice cartelized sear on the side left against the pan. The shrimp were large and seasoned well. We ended with the churros for desert and they were warm and fresh. We took our time and never felt rushed, even as the restaurant got busy. Good experience and we will be back. It's a good spot for a work dinner or out with friends, probably a little loud/busy for a dinner date. Enjoy.

Went with the family for a friday night dinner. It has a lively envioronment and great decoration, the location can't be better. Nonethless, I have no idea who said to them that what they offer is spanish food. At least that is what they portray from the name. I know that the description is fussion..... but that paella was dry and nowhere near a paella flavor. Same applied for the octopus. Would go again but for a couple of drinks, but not for the food.

Always fun after work. Never too crowded but just enough to keep your interest. Great variety of drinks and small plates at reasonable prices in Buckhead.

Great location that was walk from our hotel in buck head and offered outdoor patio area after long day inside. Food was placed on tables which I didn't love with set up of bar on a table vs proper bar so it appeared kinda "fabricated" for us...vs area they regularly use...but overall it served its purpose. Can't say I loved the food but don't think we selected right menu of options...roasted red pepper yellowtail or raw tuna appetizer was my favorite and the cheese boards. Staff was nice

Another fine establishment in Atlanta. I canât seem to go wrong eating out in Atlanta area. The food is just amazing and Gypsy Kitchen is no different. Great place to conduct business. Great ambiance and food

At the end of a week-long conference my company hosted a group of about 60 people for a dinner at Gypsy Kitchen. There were wonderful appetizers served in the bar area, and then we moved to a group of long tables set up in the "porch" area of the restaurant. Every dish was served family style, and every dish was delicious. The steak was my favorite, but the paella with shrimp was a close second. The service was also very good, which is hard to do when you have a large group. I would love to have the opportunity to dine here again.

The bar was very crowded on a Friday night so I'm tempted to excuse the lackadaisical attitude of the hostesses and bartenders but I probably would not return. Drinks were good, once we finally were able to order and receive them. It's definitely a fun place to be for people watching but the noise level, even at tables on the patio, is pretty high so tough to have a conversation.

Gypsy Kitchen is so much fun. The vibe feels very much like Eclipse di Luna in the 90s. Great bar scene - feels young and electric. The menu is eclectic - with yummy dishes like patatas bravas and grilled yellow fin tuna. As always, I love the charcuterie and cheese board. Valet made for easy in and out. We will certainly be back.

Ok I've tried to be nice to this place because the management is very nice but how many times can you go somewhere, have a very expensive food, leave totally hungry and have slow service and be happy because management bought you desert and apologized? This was my second and last. You should only go here for the ambiance, have a drink and then go eat somewhere else. Forget the sea bass for $45 which is not even enough for one person or the chicken Tika Misala which is not even close to what the dish should look or taste like and the appetizer Crouquets which is 4 balls of fried thingies with no taste. If you are going to have dinner here count on spending at least $100 a head with few drinks and leave hungry and not satisfied Too bad as this is a beautiful location.

Our server Mariah was one of the best servers I have encountered in this city. Knowledgeable and confident on her wine & drink suggestions. Knew how to pace our table. Delivered the type of service that makes you want to return.

You are paying for location, and we sat outside which was really nice. It can be a bit warm in the sun early afternoon, but later it was perfect. The tapas are okay, and you are paying for the location. The crowd is a mixed bunch, folks from work, first drinks on the way out on the town, etc. Tables and sofas have group seating so it is easy to mingle if you so desire.

I normally forget to write any type of review but had to take a moment to recognize a server by the name of Alek who served the table next to us. I was amazed at

Restaurant was recommended by a colleague while visiting ATL. Staff welcoming and helpful, nice vibe going at happy hour. Service in bar was a bit slow off the start, again happy hour. Draft beer could have been colder. Ordered duck al pastor and sword fish both were very tasty good. I will come again

Perfection at its finest! From entering the restaurant with greeting from Chris (like we were regulars). Then we visited at eh beautiful bar with great drinks and staff (Randy & Allison). We got to our table and found incredible service and Recs from Stephanie and Abby! Whatâs great night and ambiance to meet our daughterâs boyfriend & so glad it was at GK! We look forward to returning again and enjoying the amazing food & wine!

Gypsy kitchen is definitely the place to be seen on a Saturday night. The view on the terrace as the sun is setting is fabulous. We had drinks on the patio and tapas-garlic shrimp, chorizo, and patatas bravado. The service was very slow and the backless chairs are very uncomfortable.

We went for ladies night to this restaurant, I heard this place was trendy, new and had delicious food. Service was excellent, our server took the time to explained the menu to us, everything to that point was great, he recommended the Spanish Cigar, we ordered 3 appetizers to share: Chicken croquetas, Jamon Serrano and Spanish Cigar. Appetizers were so small, we were so afraid to share and started laughing at the very small spanish cigars. As for entree we ordered Beef Tenderloin and Pork Tenderloin, non of them were good, small portions and presentation was just not right. Is definitely not a gourmet restaurant in which they serve food as an art, presentation is important, Gypsy Kitchen is just not selling it. The bar was over crowded and the entire restaurant was really loud, love loud and crowded restaurants, but I agreed with my friends is just and overpriced new trendy restaurant that won't be around for a long time if they don't change the menu and price.

We decided to try for a Mother's Day lunch. We had received the email and the buffet menu sounded interesting. We have no problems paying north of fifty dollars per person for great food. This fell way short! The server was prompt and friendly and explained where the different stations were located. Staff definitely does not understand who has the "right of way", as I experienced and saw this happening often. Could never get bacon, was rudely told that it would be out shortly, and food sitting in the sun, items just sat on a table with no protection . I was wondering what the Health dept would think. The chef eating as he exits the kitchen.....and on and on. Menu or buffet no repeat for me. I will say the desserts were excellent, but several of those had gone by the way side as well. Poor!

Decor is great, indoor and outdoor seating. Enjoyed the Seville Rose cocktail and tapas. Bartenders are great and love the decor. Modern and hip.

Place is absolutely beautiful and the patio is great! Food is really good and drinks are even better :)

We had a party of 10 celebrating a birthday, and got a great table on the outside patio overlooking Peachtree Street. Other than a little car noise, it was a great place to sit. Unfortunately, the location was the best part of the night. Perhaps I am not the target audience for tapas, as I go to a restaurant hungry and looking to be satisfied. After all was said and done, our portion of the tab was $120 for about 9 bites of food and 4 drinks. The yellowfin tuna was very good, the tenderloin tips were quite flavorful, but the lamb balls were pretty bland. Our server was enthusiastic, but water glasses were rarely refilled, and on at least two occasions incomplete rounds of drinks were brought to the table. The place was packed, with the bar area spilling into the restaurant a bit, so clearly Gypsy Kitchen doesn't lack for customers. Those customers are well heeled, or at least are well heeled wannabes, so the people watching is great. I doubt I will be back, though, as there are too many good restaurants in Atlanta to waste more of our food dollars here.

The restaurant & patio really look good! Our reservation (4 people) was at 9pm, but we got our table almost 45 minutes late because it was too busy. Ambiance and decor, I loved it. But the service was not kind and staff looked too busy to care. We ordered many tapas, everything was OK but not wow. I really like the lamb tapas, the dates and the Brussels sprouts were infect. It was way too expensive for the food quality and service received. Maybe the first service round is better, avoid supper lounge second round. Would not go back.

Great time was had by all. We hung out at the bar and had some great drinks and small plates. The crowd was great and the bartenders take care of you. Especially Tonde (pronounced Tonday)

The Gypsy Kitchen was recommended to me by a friend to go and grab drinks and listen to music in a great atmosphere. This place did not disappoint. The vibe is awesome and the bartenders were so nice, especially Diamond. She was very sweet and all of her recommendations were right on point. This is a great place to just chill and relax. Perfect for having a drink you can enjoy inside and outside. Will definitely go again.

I was expecting a fabulous experience at the Gypsy Kitchen and got the opposite. The staff was rude, the food was bland and the drinks lacked a bit of kick! I guess the location allows for sub par service and food.

One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta! I highly recommend going for the most delicious tapas and great drinks. The atmosphere is great as is the service.

We really love spanish food, Specially tapas and everything ordered was delicious. We shared three main and 6 tapas. It is a Spanish fussion restaurant but very well done with the authentic Spanish flavors. On the pricey side but I guess we did ended ordering more food thatn we should have.

Great location, nice patio area, love the decor and all that it promises once you enter, however, it is pretty disappointing. Food is average and the place gets pretty crowded and loud. I have tried this restaurant on several occasions, with girlfriends, family and casual dinner, each time I walked away with without any special emotions.

If you're willing to pay $80 for you and a date to eat tapas (snack plates) with no alcoholic drinks, THEN you'll love this place. When the weather is nice and/or after the sun has set, the outdoor patio is AWESOME! Just expect to walk away hungry.

My first time there with friends and it was spectacular from start to finish. We started off with cocktails in the lounge area while we waited for a couple more of our friends to arrive. They do not have large cubes so be sure to let them know if you'd like a few cubes in your bourbon or whatever your poison may be. When we finally got seated, our server was prompt and asked for our drink order right away. Even though it was a pretty busy night, he was still able to make time to clear our table and remark for the next course. Something I never expected. The quinoa cauliflower salad, croquetas, lamb tagine, and octopus are a must! You won't be let down. If you would like something out of the ordinary the toasts with house made nutella and chorizo with almonds and the whole fish is a perfect fit. If you're able to, try asking for a table on the patio to have a great view of the city while you wine and dine. Overall, no complaints and couldn't have been more perfect. The place has a great upbeat and comfortable vibe. Service was great. And the food was superb! I will definitely be coming back soon!

Gypsy Kitchen has the best bar / patio in the Buckhead Shops. Great staff, very friendly, always quick with your order. Sunday night has good live music and a chill atmosphere. Great place to meet friends or coworkers for happy hour.

Iâm good at finding the silver lining in every experience. And I wonât completely pan this one but I have to be very candid about my experience, as I am with all reviews. We made reservations for 5:45 pm on a Saturday for drinks and apps at one of my nieceâs favorite places before meeting others for a larger group dinner. 6 of us. My parents in their 80âs, my husband and I and my niece and roommate in their 20s. It was 93 degrees and when we arrived we were told we had to sit outside because they were âtoo busy.â The entire restaurant was empty with the exception of a small but buzzy bar crowd and two rows of booths in the center of the restaurant. Tables were empty and not set for diners. I mention this specifically because we were taken to our outside table where it was set with plates, tepid water (itâs 93 degrees, canât blame melted ice on them) and menus. We sat for 10 minutes. Yes. I was watching my phone. Did I mention itâs 93 degrees and we were seated outside (no other diners outside either). I finally asked another server to find ours. She came right out, was pleasant, took our orders and after she delivered us our drinks we never saw her again. Food came, mercifully more water came. We did not linger. We pounded our drinks and apps (which were quite good), settled our tab with the QR code and made our way back inside. While we were eating another younger group of 5 were escorted outside as well. They were seated less than 5 minutes and asked to be moved inside and they were. My husband and I watched that moment unfold but with our very fast meal winding down silently agreed to let it be. As we were leaving I noticed that the restaurant was still completely empty with the exception of the same booths where they sat that other party. The ones they decided they werenât âtoo busyâ to accommodate a shift in seating. Wilted and blotting sweat from my face I was asked âWhy we were leaving so soon.â I was cordial, this server was not ours and it was nice to be asked. I told her that we were seated outside and that it was unbearable and no one was able to accommodate a sift in seating âBecause I was told you all are too busy right now.â With that comment I did make a point to look around the empty room with a wee bit of dramatic flair, probably not my best moment, but I did thank her and we left. My point clearly made. I have thought about this review all day and I can only sum up how it felt. They werenât too busy. If they were the tables would have been set like ours, for soon to arrive reservations. They judged us. As not good enough in their eyes to dine there. Atlanta has so many incredible restaurants Iâll let the Mean Girls keep this one. And take my money elsewhere.

Nice place in a central neighborhood. It offers cuisine with Middle Eastern flavours, rich in spices and interesting flavours. Excellent steak, lamb chop and duck. The desserts are very good (especially the coconut milk pudding). The cocktails are worth reviewing. Slow but friendly service. High prices.

Went on Saturday mid afternoon before the crowds came in. The ambience, service and food were phenomenal! I had the Lamb Sirloin (Chefâs Kiss!!) and my friend had the Seafood Paella. For dessert we had the Baklava Cheesecake. I would definitely recommend Gypsyâs Kitchen.

Well, its a shame actually. The place is very Nice, the location is beautiful, and the food is good in most cases. But... One dish which was brought was not to our taste, you would expect from a restaurant in this standard to at least offer a replacement if not to take it of the bill (Needless to say that we almost did not touch it). Continued with needing to call the hostess just to ask to pay the bill as our waiter was nowhere to be found after she brought us the check. But the biggest problem, was that we were sitting at the balcony (Which is very nice BTW), and through most of our dinner the waiters folded the chairs at the next tables and cleared them, as if to say - "Its time to go...". Now just to understand, we came at 20:00, the restaurant was still full... Made us feel very unwelcomed. The Bottom line, I would not strike this place of my lists, as it definitely has the potential to be a great place, but it needs improvement in the service department if they wants to survive the restaurant scene.

Spent a nice evening there with collegues while on a business trip. The trick is to share several smaller plates and thus experience the variaty if dishes they have to order. Let somebody who has already been there take the lead or else ask the waiter to guide you through the meal. Everything we tasted was very good including the deserts. Highly recommend.

Lively tapas-style bar and restaurant. Was packed on a Thursday night, and with the food flavors and choices, it's easy to understand why. Large extensive menu of Spanish tapas, mainly done in the small-plate style. We tried the spiced marcona almonds, the marinated olives, shrimp a la plancha, a mixed green salad, and the pickled beets--all very tasty. The chef sent out a chickpea pancake as a complementary appetizer--which was a nice touch, and bonus!--it was gluten-free. Many other things on the menu we would have liked to try--but 2 girls can only eat so much! Great wine list, and there are Sangrias too:-) My one request, and the reason I'm only giving 4 stars, is that they PLEASE turn down the music--it is seriously way too loud. . .it's a restaurant, not a nightclub. There's truly no need for the volume to be turned up so high--makes conversation difficult. The place is done with high ceilings, and tile floors--making the noise reverberate. Wish we could have eaten outside--but was a chilly night--maybe next time when I'm in town. . .

I went for a girls night out. This restaurant is conveniently located in the Shops at Buckhead. Parking is valet or self parking. I suggest making reservations. Our waitress was very attentive and knew the menu. We shared many of the tapas which all were very good. We also shared the seafood paella which could have been a little more seasoned. The place had a very diverse crowd. I would definitely return.

We decided to have our Easter Sunday Lunch, which I was really looking forward to, here at Gypsy Kitchen. We had been there not long ago and the food was very good, which is why we decide to go back. I made reservations on Open Table, we got there at the exact time, and it took quite a few minutes to get seated. That should have been our first clue, (keep in mind, they were not that busy) Once we were seated, it took a few minutes for our server to come and take our very hard drink order of water. She came back and we placed our order. We order a Charcuterie and Cheese board, (of course, they did not have the first cheese we wanted) Should have been our 2nd clue, and we ordered our entrees right away. I little while later they brought out the Charcuterie and Cheese board, which was fantastic. Then, we sat, and sat, and sat, and they finally brought out one of the meals. What seemed like a LONG time later, the server came by and over explained how she DID turn our orders in, but the kitchen was REALLY backed up. (Again, they were still not that busy, and on top of that, I had ordered shrimp cocktail????) Our server never did come back, and we thought it looked like they were delivering our food to the table behind us, which they gladly accepted, as we could hear them say, â We didnât order thisâ. Finally, after one hour and twenty minutes, a manager came out and apologized but again, the âkitchen was really backed upâ. We said we no longer wanted our food and left. What a bust because this place really does have GREAT Food. Needless to say, that is more than likely our last visit there. So if you are thinking of going there, I would think again.

Visited Gypsy Kitchen for a business meeting. We had 20 people in our Party. The staff did an amazing job. We never waited for drinks or food. Great service and food!

A great spot for drinks and tapas. The outdoor bar and seating makes it great to meet new people. Menu is always changing which keeps it fresh!

I had the opportunity to check out Gypsy Kitchen in Buckhead in December and my trip to Spain was instantly relived with the decadent decor, tantalizing dishes and warm hospitality. Located in what my friends are calling 'the new Atlanta Beverly Hills'. The shops and restaurants off Peachtree and Pharr Road are definitely a wonder to behold. A very see and be seen experience. Thought it originally opened in October 2014, recent changes in the menu and management make this a place to take a second look at. Take to the upper floors to enter the world of the Spanish gypsy. A huge bull statue at the bar overlooks a sexy crowd that indulges in a cocktail and small bites menu that make work feel like a memory. Happy hour offers up $5 glasses of wine and $4-5 snack plates such as classic Spanish dishes like chicken croquetas, patatas bravas, olives, and marcona almonds. The cocktail menu is inspired and don't miss out on the house Sangria by the glass or carafe. The wine menu has a great list of new and old world Spanish varietals. For dinner, you can build a feast for the table with a huge selection of tapas. Some of my favorites from Chef Matthew Ridgway included the Serrano Ham & Cauliflower Croquetas, the Gulf Shrimp ala Plancha, the Littleneck Clams Piperade, and the Grilled Spanish Octopus. All delicious! When I was in Barcelona, we dove into these dishes with gusto, plates filled with small bites meant to be shared family style. The entrees are also made to share, the Georges Band Cod was prepared so well - so much flavor, and the classic Seafood Paella is always a favorite in Spain. A regional take on paella, Fideo, is also offered. You'll see fideo dishes more on the coast, toasted short noodles that look like rice. End with a decadent dessert like the Chocolate Mousse with Nutella and sea salt. So good! The service was excellent, with new GM Bartolomeo Maldonado now heading up the team. I loved chatting with him about his many visits to Spain and how it's been so important to bring back the culture and cuisine to the restaurant. They definitely achieve this in spades, with the mystical Moroccan vibe and expansive menu options. With the recent erratic winter weather, take advantage of the large patio when it's warmer outside. Easy and validated parking in the garage of the complex, getting in and out is super convenient.

0 stars. Reservations donât matter here. They will not honor them. Made reservations for six. Got there on time told me Iâll be seated whenever a table of six becomes available. The hostesses donât even seem to care about the issue. They acted like whatever deal with it. They wonât be getting my money in the future.

Our company reserved the whole place for a buffet meal on a pleasant spring evening - we had nice outdoor seating. Lots of food spread all over. Cutting board station had basic fare. The branzino was pretty overdone. Best dishes were the vegetable sides. The veggie paella was relatively bland as well. Nice gin-cucumber cocktail was the mass-produced special of the evening which was a great starter. Plenty of desserts to try. Nice wait staff. While the function went well, the food was not up to the par of other ATL restaurants.

Came to celebrate a friend's birthday. First off, the staff was excellent. Our waiter was Nick and he was very attentive, gave recommendations and was pleasant. We had several managers come by too. Holly was very interested in feedback on the food. We were honest and pleasant. She was genuine and appreciative. She also acknowledged my friends birthday with an offer of champagne or dessert which was nice. The yellow tuna, churros, carrots and chocolate mousse cake were very good. I was less impressed with the chicken tikka Marsala and grilled octopus. In both dishes, there was something off or missing. Not horrible I just would not order again, However, I would come back again based on the excellent service to try some other items on the menu. I wish you could give 1/2 stars because food was like a 3-3.5 but the service was excellent 5 so I'll give them a 4 for overall experience.

food was very good and the server was also. Loved the different appetizers. Great open atmosphere for larger groups. Great drinks.

Cool venue with really good tapas. The waitress was pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely a fav spot which I plan to visit again. Good wine selection as well. Perfect for catching up with friends, a date, or even a casual business outing.

Stumbled across Gypsy Kitchen while in town for business... what a find! Everything we had was fantastic, freshly prepared and delicious. It isn't cheap but you won't regret having drinks and tapas here...And as an added bonus the staff couldn't have been more pleasant... super helpful with suggestions.

The atmosphere is great inside and outside in the terrace. The music is alright, could be better. The food is outstanding. Would recommend the octopus, butifarra and garlic shrimp. The waiter was really nice but service a bit slow.

I recently went to Spain and was pleasantly surprised to find some of my new favorite dishes in the heart of Buckhead. I had tried chicken croquetas in Barcelona and had been craving them since, and Gypsy Kitchen's version was perfect!

Great interior, great vibe but service was soooo slow and waitress gave such a long schpeel about the menu before she even took a drink order. Bring me a drink then waffle on. Food ok but Eclipse is better. Pricey for what you got!

The highlight of this place is the outdoor area. On any given night of the week it is bumping. I did like the decor inside, but was less impressed over all with the menu and food items. It is centered around tapas but there are also entrees.

We got to the restaurant and put our name in. It was supposed to be a 15 minute wait. 30 minutes later I asked how much longer and they had taken us off the list for some reason. We finally got a table, but the food was awful. I have never had so much salt in my life. Definitely not interested in going back. Donât order the tuna or potatoes.

If you have a group this is a good restaurant to try. It is loud, lively and tapas style where your table shares platters. They offer $35/$50/$75 per person plans, which makes it a pricey proposition. The food is plentiful and delicious. My women's tennis team opted for the $35 option and we all took food home. The reason for 3 stars vs higher is simply the volume. It was really hard to enjoy everyone's company because it was so loud! Marlo was our waitress and she was outstanding.

I give this restaurant six months . This is an example of culinary "artistes" who decide they are going to "educate" the public about food that they never asked for !. When you look at the menu you find yourself desperate to find an item you recognize . The waitress then glibly goes through the menu with a repartee of arrogant assumption that you have seen these items before. (There is no explanation of any item on the menu!). it is then the waitpersons job to "sell" you on the "items on the bottom right" of the menu. In other words the $45 to $95 plates to share. "PLATOS A LA PLANXA" MAJORCAN STYLE WHOLE BRANZINO / 45 20oz BARREL CUT BEEF TENDERLOIN / 95 32oz BONE-IN STRIP STEAK / 85 34oz RACK OF PORK / 65 It was a Friday night and a half empty restaurant... Time for a reboot ! Add to this that as we sat down we were informed that the beer menu was "out of date" and that they did not have 50% of the items listed as the are "changing the offerings in the next few weeks " !! I'd give this place a pass until they figure out what they want to be !

Gypsy Kitchen's rooftop patio has always been one of my favorite spot for drinks, live music, great views, sexy people and overall good times. However, I'm taking the time to write a review today because I recently went there for the first time in the daytime to try their newly launched brunch service. It was an ugly and rainy Sunday but my server Meg and the manager on duty Ali showed my family an amazing time. Meg's service was simply stellar and Ali treated me to a Vermouth-tasting flight that made my day! Almost forgot: the bacon poutine and chicken sausage dish we had were delicious (just wish they put a little more proteins in both dishes as the potatoes filled most of the plates). Any way, rest assured that day or night, one CANNOT go wrong with Gypsy Kitchen.

This has to be one of the best places for an after work and happy hour spot within Buckhead. Service is phenomenal, drinks are freaking amazing and those patatas bravas are the BOMB. The manager Kenan keeps the place in order and does a fantastic job every time I'm there. Won't be skipping out on this spot anytime soon.

Great atmosphere, attentive and courteous service, very good Spanish tapas, limited wine selection. Octopus is a must. The shrimps, mussels and steak are amazing! On the down side, the paella had too much tomato in my opinion. The meatballs were very spicy. The serrano ham slivers need to be thicker, it did not seem it was cut straight from the "pata".

If you want a grumpy waiter, heavily salted octopus, tasteless kefta, greasy trout in serano, a wine list with nothing really drinkable below $65, a rowdy crowd -- and you like waiting 20 minutes for your car at valet parking -- this is the place for you.

We have been to Barcelona and dined at the Roca Bar so our expectations were high for a first visit to this spot. Reaching the restaurant while staying dry on a rainy night is a problem for starters. Next the menu is printed in red on a brown paper and the lighting is decorative but very poor. All around us diners, we included, were using cell phones, flashlights etc. to try to read the menu. We chose a blue cheese plate, very good, chicken croquetas followed by the paella. The croquetas were tasty if unhealthy (fried) and the paella while very hot at first cooled quickly and lacked the sliced sausage and chicken of the traditional preparation. Service was attentive and quick in fact the dishes were whisked away very fast and the dessert menu appeared before I had finished my paella. Wines and bar drinks were good if pricey. If you have not been to Spain it would appear better than it is.

The food is decent, but not worth the price. You're paying for the atmosphere, and especially for being in buckhead. It's in a great location, and has a small roof top. I recommend this place for a drink and an app kinda get together.

Nice experience, great food. We had octopus and shrimps, and some tacos. A really beautiful restaurant. It was a bit noisy for my taste so if you want to have a quiet friday meal, it would not be a good choice.

A short stop for a drink and tapas but beautiful outside area. Tapas menu looked great. Had the mussels which were wonderful. Crusty bread for dipping in the amazing sauce and all.

I stumble on to this place while I was in Atlanta for business. Great ambience. Simple menu. Drinks good. Bartender was unfriendly. We ate at the bar We would have stood longer but Bartender set a uncomfortable mood for us. Met some nice talkative Guest sitting next to us. I would recommend ordering different types of apps. Nice place I would go back to visit.

Had a nice visit on a beautiful late-Spring Saturday afternoon. This place is upstairs via a street-level elevator in the Buckhead Atlanta shopping district. A little hard to find, but near it's sister establishment, The Southern Gentleman. The cocktail menu was broad and interesting. And the drinks were well crafted. The service was warm and friendly. This place would have gotten a higher rating, except they had no food available at 2 in the afternoon, even though they offer a full menu for dinner. Not even bar snacks. Only drinks. Still worth a visit, as is The Southern Gentleman.

Having been to Spain and to Morocco, Gypsy Kitchen manages to interpret the decor of the area without capturing the soul of the food. While service is quite good and the menu had a good variety, we ended up feeling a little disappointed with our experience. We'd highly recommend the spice roasted root vegetables which was the best item we had. The Lamb tagine was tasty but did not have near the flavor complexity of tagines in Morocco. In the end, Gypsy Kitchen feels like a trendy place that looks really nice but comes up short on the food.

I have been here several times for dinners and sat on the rooftop patio. I love the ambiance! A few months ago, there was a guy playing solo music and singing and it was pretty cool. The food to me is just so so and plates too small for the price, but I just love the view of the city! It is a great place for a date, with friends, or to take family. Perfect place for a birthday or special occasion!

We were there on a Friday night and they also had live music. The chick pea pancake is very good along with the shishito peppers. The patatas bravas were unimpressive as they basically resembled potato wedges with cheers

This is a vibrant and young restaurant scene in the Shops of Buckhead. The menu is a combination of Mediterranean and Moroccan style food. If you are bothered by noise, this is not the place for you. We had to move from our initial table because we were under a speaker and the music was so loud we could not have a conversation. The hostess seemed put out that we asked to move. They do have outside seating which could be a nice option. All our food choices were good but nothing was outstanding. Our server was friendly and fun but often had to be reminded to bring us drinks, water etc. This is a good place to meet friends for tapas but not a great meal.

This was our first visit and will not be the last! We arrived early before our reservation and had a cocktail at the bar before dinner. Dinner was an amazing array of tapas to share - octopus, skirt steak, charcuterie & cheese board, tuna tartare, duck tacos -all very good but the Seafood paella was superb! Canât say enough about the food but our server Avery made the evening more fun - he was terrific. We met Ali the manager at the end of the evening and there is no doubt he takes pride in the restaurant and ensures guests are well taken care of. One of the best dining experiences in Atlanta and highly highly recommend if you want great food and outstanding service!

Gorgeous decor, wonderful service, and amazing menu. Specialty cocktails are yummy. Absolutely loved it and will be back for sure!

The cocktails, food, and ambience are all on point. Located on top of the Shops at Buckhead - Gypsy Kitchen is the perfect swanky night out.

Great patio and lively bar. The food and service were great. Had the humus, steak and octopus⌠all I would recommend. Humus was especially nice with a fresh side bread.

The moment we walked in I knew that this place was a gem. Great welcome, beautiful rustic Spanish decor with an urban vibe. Open air patio and several communal tables were a feast for the eyes. As we sat down at the bar stocked with unusual craft liquor and fresh squeezed juices, I was not sure what to order. The bartender said "what flavors do you like?" And then he mixed up a custom concoction on the spot which was delish. When we were seated we had brought our own wine from a trip to Spain and the manager came over to talk to us about it then he provided a sample of an amazing sherry and a few other Spanish wines just to make our experience extra special. The food was also amazing. I highly recommend the mussels with chorizo and coconut milk and the grilled octopus with potatoes. Don't miss this new treasure where they advise "travel like a gypsy, eat like a king"! We also love their sister restaurant, Milton's cuisine and cocktails (OTP). They truly have a passion for the trinity: food, drink and experience.

My wife and I decided to try Gypsy Kitchens on a Sunday evening. The covered veranda (a second floor restaurant) has nice views of Atlanta Bulkhead, the upscale multi-use project in the heart of Bulkhead. We preferred the veranda due to the volume of music inside. We started with sangrias (white and red). Not traditional, but very good. My wife had the gulf shrimp a la plancha. The dish has a delicious sauce that you should be sure to sop up with the bread that comes with it. She also had mussels, one of her favorites. She declared the dish one of the best mussel dishes she has had. I had the paella - with shrimp, mussels & clams over rice. The defining item in this entree are the tiny bits of chorizo, that provide a lovely spiciness without overpowering your taste buds. This was an early Sunday evening when the restaurant has a paella special in the bar area. That particular paella is in a large pot that is scooped from to provide paella as a small plate. It tends to be a little more moist than the menu entree (with less in the way of seafood). Very good, but lacking the chorizo. Finally, we were served by Aaron, who is passionate about the food he serves and service he provides. Definitely a 5 star server. We will be back.

Getting to the restaurant is the only negative park of the experience. Had a little trouble finding the entrance as it's connected to the Southern Gentleman Pub. But once my direction challenged self found the entrance, it was nothing but up from that point on. I attended a networking event that my alma matter put on and was floored by the food. I was a little off balance all evening and definitely out of my comfort zone, but was determined to sample everything. I was rewarded with some amazing flavors. We started the evening with an excellent cheese board that set the stage perfectly for the food to follow. Spanish olives and marcona almonds followed. I did not sample either of those, but everyone else at our table enjoyed both. I did get back in to the act with grilled spanish octopus. Incredible. The octopus was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. The chicken croquetas and gulf shrimp a la plancha were next and two of my favorite parts of the evening. We also sampled the roasted cauliflower & quinoa salad and mixed greens. Neither were a favorite of mine, but the cauliflower was surprisingly flavorful. I felt the mixed greens were a little bland, but I'm positive that was more to do with my bias than a lack of execution. My absolute favorite part of the meal was the seafood paella âfried riceâ. The paella is cooked in the juices of the seafood it is served with and absolutely blew me away. The flavor was something truly unique. Robust without being overpowering. We ended our meal with grilled red snapper. Red snapper is a long time favorite of mine and this dish did not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and give Gypsy Kitchen a try. Just go in with a hearty appetite and an open mind. Enjoy!

We had reservations for 5 and got seated right away though we were about 15 minutes early. We sat at a table inside and it was really loud--music playing and people talking over the music. We had a couple of drinks, the rest drank water. Drinks were good. Ordered a cheese thing which was good. The atmosphere was nice, but loud. The small plates (3) and seafood paella were excellent. Service was great. It was hard to have a conversation because it was so loud. The food was great, and well worth what we paid. But it was really loud.

Gypsy kitchen is a special kind of place, the place where you get super dressed up and go with an expensive car to see and be seen by others. Great ambiance and a great late night spot with a live DJ. However, the food is just subpar even after the update to the choices. Recommended for a a visit for a drink, skip the meal

Not our first visit because the food, atmosphere and service are always exceptional. We took 20 neighbors and friends out to an evening of food, friends and fun. We had 2 long communal tables on the patio and made a party out of their event menu (and they accommodated separate checks!!) with family style service delivered to each table in small servingware so sharing was super easy. Started in the bar where just like Santa if you tell their mixologists what you like, they will surprise and delight you with a custom cocktail! Must not miss the garlic shrimp, lamb meatballs and the roasted cremini mushrooms....they are not your grandma's button mushrooms. For a treat try a Spanish wine from Ribero Del Duero or one of the amazing Spanish cava (sparkling) wines. The GM even came over and gave me a lesson in amar liqueurs! Such a special experience. Service from Bartolomeo, Simone, Holly, Brandon and Michael was simply amazing. Felt like they were an extension of the party. Thanks to all the Culinary and Service Kings at Gypsy Kitchen.

On a Sunday afternoon went in with my sister to hang out and show her around town. Brandon service was great the food was wonderful with Ali's management made it just a perfect afternoon. Thank you so much Ali and the team

Took family for a birthday dinner...low expectations due to "interesting" menu. Loved it! Yes, menu was Spanish and Moroccan influenced....but wow, it was divine. Appetizers were awesome. All were complimentary of their cuisine. Ask for the big round table next to porch or seating on the porch. Atmosphere lively, waiter had great personality and very attentive. Had great suggestions for both menu and drinks.

My family is from Spain and I have to say that the food here is pretty authentic. My husband and I were on a date night and we ordered several tapas and a pitcher of red wine sangria. Everything was very delicious, our favorites were the octopus, brussel sprouts, manchego cheese, jamĂłn serrano and patatas bravas. The sangria was great too. We went on a Sunday night and there was a Spanish guitarist who was amazing. When he wasnât playing, the DJ put on some great, new Spanish/Latin tunes. I really enjoyed the music. All in all, a wonderful experience, our server was the best too. We will be back! Salud!

We loved this atmosphere, Gypsy Kitchen is in a nice part of town and has a patio. We visited on a Sunday when they were serving brunch and the bar had a very large Bloody Mary bar. We ordered the steak and fried egg and potatoes which are incredible. We also ordered the cauliflower which was just ok, do not get this if you do not like capers. The service was not only very slow but two of the ladies on the patio were very rude and seemed put out to be taking our order. I loved the atmosphere and the food so I would recommend Gypsy Kitchen and hope that the attitude from the waitresses was a rarity.

visited on a Sunday night. They had a special on rose and house wines for $5.00. Had to ask to get the special Sunday night menu as server would not have offered it if we did not ask about the sunday night special. This was a great deal as we had 6 glasses of wine between the four of us for only $30. Wanted to sit inside but a loud group of 12 people were yelling and screaming during a birthday dinner and the sound was really loud. Sat outside which was ok, even though over 90 degrees outside. Tried a variety of tapas plates all of which were pretty good. Server found out it was my birthday and offered free champange toast which was a nice touch. Decent place but probably won't go back.

Our first time at Gypsy Kitchen was a truly amazing experience. The wait staff made us feel very comfortable , the atmosphere and decor was beautiful ! The food was the best tapas we have had and the portions were perfectly thought out , the desserts were fantastic we loved the churros and the spiced mousse chocolate was delicious đ I wish we could have stayed longer and we would definitely fly back from Connecticut just to experience this place againđ

Had dinner at Gypsy Kitchen this past weekend... Service is really friendly and food came out quickly. The restaurant is really pretty and it was great to be able to sit outside in nice weather in November! Food is just okay and most of it is swimming in grease. We had the Patatas Bravas, Brussels sprouts, a salad that came with bread and cucumbers, chicken, and asparagus. The highlight was definitely the asparagus but everything else just wasn't good or authentic in any way unfortunately. Prices are a bit high for the quantity...we paid about $120 including tip. We definitely wouldn't return.

Lauren, the hostess is amazing! Friendly, compassionate, always has a smile on her face, and makes a way even when things seem impossible. Thank you Lauren for showing so much grace and patience. Michele

LOVED our night at Gypsy Kitchen! The food was amazing. The service was terrific. I am already planning to go back. Definitely recommend!

This was a very cool place, I think one of the places to be seen in Atlanta. Although I'm not that cool it was still great to experience. Busy roof top bar and nice Tapas style menu. Friendly staff.

Enjoyed a few of the dishes here, liked the lamb. Service was top notch. I'll probably go back in a few weeks once it warms up a bit and you can enjoy the terrace.

Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu and friendly. Really cool atmosphere. We got the chicken tortilla, seafood paella and the chefâs charcuterie board. We also had the best cinnamon flan ever for desert. I liked my rosĂŠ sangria. Definitely a must if youâre in Buckhead!

We tried this place for the first time in the spring at a food and wine festival and we knew we had to come to the restaurant to try it out. Some of the best service and by far some of the best food we have had! The Lamb Tartare and the Charcuterie boards are a must. Also the Potatas Bravas are spectacular! And for dessert, I highly suggest the Churros! A special thank you to Chefs Jeremiah and Matthew, we will definitely make the trip back from Charleston for dinner!

We arrived for a 9 pm reservation and were seated after a very brief wait. The restaurant appeared to be near capacity, but didn't feel overly crowded. The atmosphere was lively and there was a duo near the entrance playing guitar and singing. We were seated in a back room that was REALLY dark. Nice and romantic, but we had to use our phones to have enough light to read the menus. Our server told us that was a frequent complaint from customers seated in that area. So, fix it! There's a huge chandelier hanging in that small space. Turn up the dimmers, or put in slightly more powerful bulbs! Our server was great! I don't remember her name, but she was very attentive and very helpful with menu choices throughout our visit. We started with a couple cocktails. Mine was a version of a Manhattan, and it was wonderful. My date had the cocktail dubbed "the evil eye". It was bright and fruity, but not overly sweet, slightly tart, also very good. We started our meal with the medjool dates. They are stuffed with blue cheese and wrapped with Serrano ham. Absolutely delicious! I want to make these for apps next time we have guests over! Next we got the octopus and skirt steak tapas. The octopus was the best I've ever had! But I still don't like octopus... I had one bite, just to taste it. "Yep, best ever, still don't like it." My date loved it so I left her to it while I enjoyed the skirt steak tapa. The skirt steak was really good, but I'd not go out of my way to order it again. It was a really good steak, which I can get at home. I prefer to order things outside of my normal home menu when I'm out. We followed that up with the brussel sprouts and the queso frito tapas. Both were excellent. I'd love to try the same brussel sprout dish made with baby brussel sprouts. I'd bet that it would be even better then. Regardless, it was delicious! The queso frito was also wonderful, but you'd better LOVE goat cheese if you order this one. The first bite was a bit overwhelming. I didn't know if I was going to like it, and I love goat cheese. The ensuing bites seemed less strong and Very enjoyable. We finished our evening with their version of flan for desert. It was great, but the texture and flavor were not those of a traditional flan. If you're seeking a traditional flan, you might be disappointed but, if you're OK with trying a different spin on a classic, you might enjoy this one. The desert was not overly sweet, as some can be. After great service all evening, we did have to wait a while for our check after the meal. Other than that, service was impeccable. I would definitely return for another meal at Gypsy Kitchen.

Went to Gypsy Kitchen with some friends. Overall, very cool ambiance. Great place to "hang out". Their menu is a bit odd. Lots of tapas and small plates (left side of the menu). On the right they have "normal" portions for 1 and then plates for 2. We had the Paella (which was quite good), beef tips (which were average) and croquetas (which were also average). Overall enough for 2. If you get the small plates or tapas you will definitely need 2 or 3 because they are truly small portions. My husband had a sangria which was quite tasty. Overall, worth a try.

I donât mean to sound harsh; but let me start by saying...if you expect to have the same taste as if you were in Spain...just please do yourself a favor a book a flight then... Iâve been traveling to Spain since I was a teenager so I know what to expect from restaurants in America cooking Spanish meals...with that said.. This restaurant is great! Our waitress was very friendly and even though she was new she was attentive and explained the menu in detail to my friend who suffer from lots of allergies. Iâm vegetarian and they were some godd choices for me in the Tapas section of the menu. We also tried a cocktail and it was delicious! The weather that day was super nice so we sat outside. The patio was very spacious with nice views of the city. The restaurant was quite busy with people coming after work so a nice crowd. Overall a good place! If Iâm ever back in Atlanta (I went for business) Iâm sure Itâll visit this restaurant again.

Overlooking the new Shoppes of Buckhead, Gypsy Kitchen is found on the second floor of the complex. We ate outside where the heat was defeated by a wonderful misting system. Six of us shared small plates as well as two dinners. We enjoyed everything we ate! The service was excellent as well! Highly recommend!

First of all....what a great looking space. It's as beautiful and cool as anything in town. I agree with most of the reviews....this is a far better place to drink than eat. Some of the food was good..none of it was great. Some was just ...blah. The one glaring real issue was the service. Our server could not have been a more miserable person. She acted like she truly anted working there. Empty wine glasses...empty wine glasses...dirty dishes from previous courses stacked on the table. Ugh. I'll go back for a cocktail.....pass on the food.

If there was an option for ZERO stars Gypsy Kitchen certainly earned it. Everything about this experience from the lack of a welcome greeting when we arrived, to the horrible rushed service and then disappearing while all other staff hovered around the service station chit-chatting, the fact that our entire food order arrived all at the same time therefore the hot food items became cold, to watching what appeared to be the Chef and 2 managers standing in front of the expo window wearing their masks as chin straps and not doing anything but talking. The mussels were dirty and included a small piece of tin foil that I did not see until it was in my mouth, the scallops were like rubber, the lamb chops had good flavor, but would have been better if they were stone cold and the charcuterie board coming with 2 small pieces of toast is unacceptable. To then be offered more bread and charged $6.00 for it is insulting. The draft gin & tonic was so watered down all it tasted like was sweet water. We have been fans of GK since opening and clearly the turnover of culinary and management staff has taken its toll on the entire restaurant. I cannot tell you the last time we tipped someone 10% and frankly she did not deserve even that. If you are going to ask your customers to wear a mask (which is certainly acceptable) your ENTIRE staff should be wearing them and wearing them properly. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and expected to enjoy a relaxed delicious evening. We arrived at 5:55 for our 6:00 reservation and were out the door by 6:50 given the rushed, uninviting lack of hospitality.

Great food, but only a handful of things on the happy hour menu. White, red & sparkling wine offered but sadly not sangria. Great table service, bold flavors and good variety. Try the chickpea pancake - shockingly good! So glad we followed the servers lead.

Visited one evening after a Fashion Show on the Plaza. I ordered the gypsy fried chicken an adobo marinated thigh with sauce romesco of roasted red pepper and almonds. It was flavorful and delicious. If you like Tapas and the romance of Barcelona you should try this place.

8 of us had drinks and tapas sat outside. The food was great but the service was slow but very friendly. Itâs not cheap either.

Recently went with a group. This is a tapas style restaurant, be prepared to order at least 4 items to make a complete dinner. For starters, I had the Seville Rose, this drink wasnât my cup of tea ( no pun intended), it had too much rose aroma. I donât recommend this drink. Stick to a good glass of wine. For dinner, I had the patatas bravas, mushrooms, and garlic shrimp. The patatas bravas were great, they were hot, fresh, and yummy. The sauce was also great. The mushrooms were good flavor but I would hold the almonds next time. The garlic shrimp were good nothing special just shrimp on bread. One thing to note about this place is certain items they arenât able to remove ingredients due to allergy or dietary restrictions. Things might not be prepared as fresh as it may seem. Another note was the great atmosphere. This is the place for glass of wine and snacks after a day of shopping, not a full meal.

I took a Gintonic but was more water then else... Food is not bad and is worth the Spanish kitchen. The environment is a good key for a drink and good talk!!

Another bar staffed with humorless mustached Mixologists in "20's-era suspenders who are far too into their craft to serve ANY beer you've ever heard of or to pour such pedestrian spirits as Grey Goose or Makers Mark. .....** yawn ** ... so over it. The majority of the appetizers and entrees we tried (and we tried a lot) were mediocre and bland. However, the citrus olives and the cheese and charcuterie platter were excellent (albeit SO overpriced!). Do NOT, however ask for bread to go with any of it. You will be silently shamed while they ponder your barbaric culinary habits and then they will (begrudgingly) bring you 1 small slice of toasted bread per person. On a positive note .... all of the desserts we tried were excellent! Churro heaven! So ..... If you're in the mood for a hand muddled ghost pepper kumquat libation garnished with essence of heirloom elderberry or an obscure beer brewed in the tack room of an antique Swedish yak barn and sealed with the wax from a repurposed colonial-era beeswax candle (all served with a heavy dose of self-importance) then Gypsy Kitchen is your spot.

For an informal team dinner we opted for a range of tapas to share. In reality you needed three per person but ordering more was not a problem and they were turned around quick. There were all the usual tapas favourites but a few twists (the Medjool dates were lovely, but only I liked them). The stars were the chicken croquetas which were tasty, moist in the middle and crispy on the outside, just like being back in Barcelona.

Fantastic service, great atmosphere, perfect for group of friends. Totally recommended if you are looking for some European vibe. Love our waitress, Katrina, lovely, kind and funny. We had a good start at the bar with a refreshing Sangria then headed to the Terraza (Terrace). Try that change in ambience đĽđ.

Located in a trendy Buckhead area, this restaurant has a very nice atmosphere with a Spanish flair. A very nice selection of appetizers and main courses. I had the paella with fried rice. It was excellent with a generous portion of shrimp and chorizo. Others had the Serrano wrapped NC trout, also excellent. We had an appratizer of chorizo, very finely cut and excellent as well. The service was very good -- attentive but not annoying. Nice bar selections and fairly good selection of wines. I am sure you would enjoy.

First time sea has was raw. Maybe 20% of the thickness cooked on each side. 60% raw. Second visit this week, pretty much was ignored by wait staff... It's not the atmosphere or the menu necessarily that's bad. It's the execution. If you have someone willing to pay you money for what you are selling, but it takes 45 minutes to order, there's a problem. It's simple supply and demand in terms of wait staff / productivity.

Our adult children took us there for Mother's Day Brunch. The ambiance was upscale yet welcoming. The service was excellent. Wonderful assortment of both cold and hot foods, as well as dessert. I love vegetables, and the selection and preparation of the cold and hot vegetable dishes was exceptional. I had to focus on items I normally wouldn't prepare at home, as the variety was so broad. I wished I could have eaten more :) What also impressed me was the bold yet smooth coffees, both regular and decaf. I would love to revisit when I return to Atlanta, and sit outside and enjoy the view. A beautiful place.

Great tapas in the heart of Buckhead! The sunset and view was simply breathtaking. Went for my sister's birthday on a Sunday evening. Ali, the manager, attended to all tables and was very pleasant to talk to. Brandon, our waiter, was fun and very attentive. Hot muscles were delicious, with a creamy sauce. The gulf shrimp was a hit too! I enjoyed La palabra Cubana drink, suggested by our waiter. Then went to the Southern Gentlemen to continue celebrating.

COME HERE FOR NEW YEARS...Make a reservation FOR THE LOVE OF GOD but remember it is New Years and nothing is on time. They gave out champagne and our server was fantastical amazing. (Im 30, my bf is 33...you will see a mix of a crowd from early 20s to abt early 50s)

I went here for a business dinner. We sat on the patio. It was a little hot. It also rained but they shut the big garage doors and it kept the rain out. We ordered tons of dishes starting with a nice salad. I loved the shrimp dish. Salmon was good. Charcuterie tray had lots of nice meats on it. I didn't care for the lamb meatballs but my colleagues enjoyed them. Octopus was tender and well cooked. The double fried potatoes were my favorite. They had some kind of delicious seasoning and sauce. I had a few bites of the steak and it was really good also. Chicken dish was okay.

On Friday, September 28, 2018 I attended a birthday party at Gypsy Kitchen and it began with a rough start. When I arrived, the birthday person and a few other people from the birthday party were waiting to be seated. Apparently, the restaurant was still preparing the tables, so we continued to patiently wait. About 15 minutes or so later, we were escorted outside to the table that the staff and manager were still preparing. The manager was acting rudely because he felt that the birthday girl changed the reservation or was asking for something that she hadnât already requested when she called to make the reservation. When the birthday girl made the party reservations on the phone, she was assured that she could get two tables including one table to seat 8 and another to seat 14 in close proximity. She was fully aware that getting one table for 20 may not be possible so she happily agreed to the two tables in the same area. However, when we arrived, they had were under the impression that we still needed one large table for 20, but this is not what was agreed to on the phone, and the manger had a poor attitude and treated the group like we changed the request. The birthday girl never raised her voice and only explained her reservations process and that she was told that her requests for two tables would indeed be met. There was a mis-communication amongst the staff and the manager, but the manager tried to blame the patron although the patron had nothing to do with the staffersâ misunderstanding of restaurant protocols and procedures. I was truly disappointed in the way the birthday girl was being treated and it made me feel sad. The manager (I believe his name is Tony) should be reprimanded for being very passive aggressive and placing the blame where it did not belong. He even tossed the menus towards the table and mentioned that âthese are not even the right menus but, I will just put them out anywayâ. Why would he give us something that we couldnât use? We had never been to this restaurant and he had a poor attitude towards us from the start. The birthday girl was approached in a way that was unnecessary and it was unfortunate that they felt comfortable treating a patron with 15+ guests very rudely. Moreover, the establishment was very unclear regarding the policy about the party menu and mentioning that parties over 8 people must pick from the $50.00 or $60.00 menu. This needs to be communicated to people when they call to reserve for parties. Everyone in the reservations department need to be trained to give the right information to people that reserve a table at this establishment. The bright spot of this visit was definitely our server, although I forgot her name, I do remember that she is from the Dominican Republic and that her name may start with a vowel. She was lovely and she diffused the tension and we were happy to have her serve our table. She deserves a raise because she understands that customer service is important.

Delicious tapas, great atmosphere, and beautiful rooftop patio/terrace. Braised lamb paired perfectly with the roasted cauliflower and quinoa salad and the chickpea pancake. The Mediterranean salad was a nice additional dose of veggies with chunks of perfectly roasted eggplant. I visited once before in 2015 - donât remember what I ate, but recall walking away just as satisfied! Highly recommend this place!

The atmosphere was great, as was our waiter! Great place to have a drink at the bar with appetisers. At our table of six, the trout and paella were raved about, the other entries were very basic and (sorry) uninteresting. I thought being a Spanish, etc, menu would mean more definititive tastes, but that was not the case. I'll go back but for drinks and appetisers only. The Spanish Cigars, Shrimp, and Lamb appetisers were good.

I was not impressed but because my daughter really loved this place and we were celebrating her 30th birthday I was very excited to give it a try. The location is great the seating was awesome but the manager that was on duty on 7/9/22 at 730pm is horrible. There were 7 of us and prior to the manager coming to our table we were enjoying our night. It is 304am and I still do not know why she came to our table with an attitude. we had been sitting and waiting on the new waitress to return with the check she finally did and our ticket stated 546 was the total, fine no problem we threw cards on the table and were ready to pay. our waitress came and took the cards and she didn't return but the rude manager did she brought over a new ticket where the original waitress failed to add the gratuity, this is when my cousin noticed that an extra charge was added, she was letting the manager know that the charge was an error and then the manager became hostile and then I asked her why does she have an attitude what did we do wrong. nothing was given to us for free, we weren't there for a handout, we paid the entire bill, we didn't receive an I'm sorry or anything for their treatment, it wasn't our mistake that the check came without the gratuity added. I will never return.

The place has a great atmosphere and good cocktails, but the food is not good at all. Twice I've ordered the beef tenderloin skewers and both times it's been rare where I can see the ligaments in the meat. The second time I asked for it well done to make sure it wasn't like my first experience but they did it again. I wouldn't recommend the food.

The atmosphere of the place is obviously the first thing you will notice. Set in a fashionable area with plenty of pedestrian traffic, patio dining and flamenco guitar playing in the background and it's not too difficult to imagine that you are in Ramblas district in Barcelona. The menu is not necessarily intuitive, so you may need to put the distractors away and focus for a minute or two...not necessarily a bad thing. The two most memorable dishes of the night were the whole roasted fish (which, in this case, was branzino) and lamb kefta tajine. First, the branzino was delicious: simple, whole roasted fish with an attractive presentation of greens and potatoes. The fish was cooked perfectly and was a good reminder of why I usually order it when it's on a restaurant's menu. Second, the lamb kefta tajine: memorable for a completely different reason. This dish, which was delicious, was still a complete "miss". I understand that this dish (in tying in with the Andalusian theme of the menu) should be of a northern Moroccan style...in fact it was really much more like Sicilian lamb meatballs. Delicious? Yes. Tajine? Not even close. The service was okay, but certainly not stellar. We had to request tableware and corrections to our drink orders. In fact, the server was either very attentive or disappeared completely...there wasn't really an in-between. When ready to pay (several minutes after the meal was completed), I had to literally leave the table and walk through the restaurant to find anyone who was actually working there, just to ask for my check. It was almost like trying to get assistance in a Home Depot...do it yourself. Overall, I would say this restaurant is "good". The menu is one of my favorite types of cuisine and the food is certainly tasty. If I had to level a critique, it would be that there needs to be more staff training done, both in the front and the back of the house. I would give this place a 3.5 out of 5 stars among comparable restaurants.

Our concierge at the Mandarin recommended this for our 1st and more casual night. I'm not a complainer and almost never send anything back. This night I sent a craft cocktail back and should have sent much of the food back. GK will have to step up its game entirely in my view to survive.
Great place to share dinner with friends.
I enjoyed dining here with a friend. We shared four small plates and it was more than enough for us. The gypsy chicken, Brussels sprouts, mushroom, and potato wedges were all delicious! I would have liked to try a drink but I was driving. The iced tea was delicious.
