When I realized this owner was the owner of the former HUSH HUSH CAFE in downtown Portland- a very popular lunch spot-. we were excited for some Cedar Mill great dining. The gyros are beyond description. Excellent. The falafel is the best. The plates with rice, kabobs and salad are excellent. Do yourself a favor and visit Gyro Fresh. Cedar Mill desperately needed a good restaurant. Welcome Gyro Fresh (aka former Hush Hush).

I have enjoyed gyros in Europe and across the U.S. over the years. None have been better than Gyro Fresh. This sparking clean, family run business plays Middle Eastern music for atmosphere. Good if you like it. Sounds a bit like a cat in distress if you don’t. The food comes in big portions and is delicious. I had the gyro wrap. It was huge! My wife enjoyed the chicken schwarma sandwich. It was grilled to perfection. She took the time to meet the owner and compliment him on the food. Will we be back? You can bet on it!!

Friendly staff, prepare the best Falafels in the West Side! Heading to St Vincent’s Hospital, it was a quick stop along the way , on Barnes Road. Enjoy!

I've struggled to find an informal yet authentic Mediterranean place, but Gyro Fresh was perfect. Very friendly & quick service, clean and well-maintained. The chicken shwarma and veggie kebabs were delicious. Falafel was lovely. Portions were enormous and quite cheap for the amount of food. Highly recommend. We went for dinner but they had a lunch buffet that I would like to try in the future.
High quality fast food
This is a very clean, friendly, and high quality middle eastern restaurant in the Peterkort Towne Square (technically Beaverton, not Portland). I have mostly had the gyro wraps and highly recommend them, although they might be different than what you are used to. (It has pickles on it) It appears you now have the choice of flatbread bread or pita. They have also updated their menu. Previously (and correctly) the menu listed 'gyro', referring to the meat. You can get this on a plate or in a sandwich (wrap). Most people are familiar with the sandwich. Just specify which way you prefer. My vegetarian family members are also very pleased with the menu.
